I've come to the realization that I like to talk but I don't like talking to people. When I talk to people, especially new people, I never know what to expect but talking to myself is so simple and stress free. Now if only people would stop assuming that I'm crazy.

my real name will remain anonymous but you can call me Olivia, I am a worker in the fan project @the-rainbow-neighborhood as a voice actress and an artist and I'm proud to say that this is the first job i have to finally enter this beautiful place called the animation company under the hand of a nice boss.

sadly, most of the people working in this proyect (the boss included) are rather young, some underage even, we all have passion on creating a fan serie based on welcome home, and Welcome home has a lot of LGBTQ content in it.

The KOSA laws will, instead of just censoring or regulating, ban the accounts of every user under the age of 18 from the internet to "protect" kids from dangerous content, and by dangerous content, they include LGBTQ, history of marginalized groups, mental health, sexual edication, birth control and abortion content and resources.

they will also use extremly invasive online surveillance of all internet users and with the invasive parental control they are going to use, children victims of familiar abuse won't be able to reach out for help.

Now, let's get personal, a lot of Staff in the TRN project staff is gay, trans and some of them went trough abusive family enviroments (names won't be revealed) a lot of us have sever mental issues and need help or at least venting. KOSA won't only delay the project, it will harm the staff in a personal level too!

I'm redefining the word Ally. It's no longer just being accepting and non-hateful toward -insert minority here-. To be an ally you have to actively make any space you're in friendly to that minority group by using your majority privilege. That means not tolerating or excusing hate, microaggressions, and people who might be nice to you (or are even family/partners/close friends) but are bigots. That means using inclusive language and practices. That means taking a stand for the minority group in a social situation even when a member is not present. That means voting with your vote and your dollar for the benefit of these groups. If you don't do these things then you're not an Ally. It is genuinely not enough anymore, and has arguably never been enough, to stand at the sidelines while these minorities are killed by a system you benefit from as a majority. Do better.

I’m autistic and proud, but I think a lot of people think my excitement about autism is about being autistic. The truth is that I’m much more excited about discovering I’m autistic. The relief. I discovered that my struggles are not because I’m not trying hard enough. I discovered that I’m not bad at being a person/I’m not a bad person.

I used to not understand why I couldn’t cope with existing in so many seemingly unrelated ways. Now, I know that I’m unable because I’m disabled. It’s not a relief to be disabled, but a relief to know.

Do other autistic people go into some situations knowing it’s going to be sensory overload, exhausting, etc, but doing it anyway because the joy of the moment outweighs the pain of the consequences?

Have I stated how much I hate the whole "Strong Black Woman" archetype and how much it's hurt me as a disabled person? I could go on for hours about how much this has such a detrimental effect on disabled black people. (And honestly just any in general who doesn't fit inside the mold.) But honestly, I'm just too tired of being forced into a role that I can't fill. It's taxing for me both physically and mentally. I wish more people would just understand that I can't do it.

I have a bunch of kins but she's def one of my top ones, and why I especially like her is because you don't see black female characters in media with a more sillier (WITHOUT coming across as the "funny black friend" character trope), kinder and overall different personality,, more than the stereotypical rude/"ratchet"/"ghetto"/loud/impatient ones. A huge reason on why I respect Erica from TETOCU so much too, because she falls so far away from the typical black girl stereotype and actually has a personality. Growing up as a black girl these types of characters are so fucking important to see. Its a very small selection and I just named 2 characters, but again there's not much to choose from (and it's just especially great when the one you relate to actually looks like you. It breaks the harmful stereotypes and show that we as a race and gender obviously have a diversity of different personalities).

Another thing I love is how she's in a anime-esc series, which as you probably know we're not too greatly represented there either. And the fact that it's a black man too who made all this,, it always made my heart so happy bc growing up a black person with alternative/nerdy interests (such as anime and even drawing/animation/art in general),, that was seen as lowkey impossible for some reason. Bc I guess to most; black people only like rap and stuff.. 💀
