Idk how people read Pjo and thought Percy Jackson was a soft uwu ray of sunshine boy.He's mean and ruthless as fuck,he's always snarking at people and gets embarrased to show 'mushy' emotions and has anger issues out the ass and manipulated multiple of his enemies and some of the shit he's pulled on the battle field was like something out of a horror movie/novel and even his tastes reflect that since he's canonically a rock music fan.Yeah he's a massive mama's boy and respects women tons and is also a Team Dad but those don't contradict any of it-I mean,just look at Jason Todd

Please don't take this as me trying to downplay Rick Riordan's extremely queerphobic writing(critisism of him is all over my old blog and i don't plan to not continue posting more on this one)but one of his mess up's that's not problematic and actually the funniest shit to me is that he made his first ever gay male character,Nico,and had the so called guy as his crush be Percy,the biggest trans woman egg in the entire franchise.No line or description in either of their series' is funnier and they had tough ass competition

native latino Percy wont leave my mind. all my faves gotta be venezuelan. here are some of my headcanons: Sally’s actual name is Saeli, she changed it when she got to the states but Percy still calls her by it. she grew up in Maracaibo, Zulia, and left when she was a young adult Percy grew up knowing english, spanish, and a bit of wayuunaiki (just simple phrases, Saeli doesn’t know much of the language either) Saeli knows how to knit, she learned from her mother, she has been knitting Percy’s backpacks since he started going to school + she also made him a chinchorro (hammock) for his cabin at camp cuz the swinging motion helps him sleep better :3

forgot to post this yesterday but brazilian!percy ALWAYS gives his mom the first cake slice. they dont even sing the 'puxa saco' song anymore its just how life is: the sky is blue, the grass is green and sally jackson always get the first slice.

If we want to go closer to the book description of Percy, then maybe as he grows up, his hair becomes darker, and his eyes become more of a greenish blue aquamarine colour, like a vast expanse of sea in the daylight.

His pale white complexion stays the same, though, and Sally ends up having to deal with a lot of impolite questions about her child’s parentage. Percy also sometimes wished that he looked more like his mother to fit in with the other Hispanic kids his age when he was young.
