Now that Pjo is trending,imma say it:The most popular version of a Big Three Kids trio being Percy,Nico and Jason is baseless in canon and just white boy favoritism.Like let's look our options over:

Percy,Thalia and Nico=Makes perfect sense since they're all from the og series and all greek and they even went on a quest in a sidebook

Percy,Nico and Hazel=Percy is their older sibling figure and parent friend and Nico and Hazel are besties on top of sharing a god parent so again,the math is mathing

Percy,Nico and Jason=Percy and Nico have prior history that was taken away for the sake of replacing Percy with Jason as Nico's only friend,Nico is closer to Hazel than he is to Jason and Jason is the same to Thalia and Percy is closer to both than he is to Jason.Oh yeah,real iconic 'canon' trinity right there!
