Rwby x video game

Ruby: Whoo… that was tough.

Yang: I can’t believe that Grimm trapped us in those video games like that.

Weiss: Indeed, my game was difficult.

Ruby: How so?

Weiss: I was a witch. I controlled time, had many weapons, and summoned creatures. But I had to do some embarrassing poses.

Ruby: Oh you were Bayonetta. That was cool. Mid though. What about you Yang?

Yang: I was in this arcade game where I fought a bunch of people in the streets.

Ruby: Oh. I mean you fit the description of someone vandalizing property.

Yang: You know it. What about you Blake?

Blake: I was a ninja. But instead of fighting just other ninjas, I was fighting monsters. And I also wield multiple weapons too.

Ren: You too. I was a samurai and I was fighting demons. And I can summon creatures to help me as well. And I had multiple weapons.

Blake: One of mine was a scythe.

Ruby; Really? Man. That sucks.

Yang: What was your game, Ruby?

Ruby: I was a devil hunter. I also had a lot of weapons. But I mainly used three and a few metal arms.

Yang: Metal arms? Holy crap.

Ruby: My bosses were insane, especially the final boss.

Ren: What about you Nora?

Nora: I fought my father.

Ren: What?

Nora: I fought my father who was trying to take my son. I did what I could but he was too strong. I managed though and survived. However, I pushed my son away from me and he left me alone. I was happy when he came back but things only got worse. I lost my friend. And though I managed to talk some sense into my father, my grandfather killed him right in front of me.

Ren: Nora it was a game.

Nora: It was real to me!

Ruby: Okay. Oscar and Emerald, how was your gaming experience?

Emerald: I was a badass treasure hunter.

Oscar: I was a guy who wielded a Keyblade and had to fight the darkness. I made many friends but my main ones were a duck and a dog. Mainly the dog.

Ruby: Interesting. Well, Jaune what about you? What game did you go to?

Jaune: You can’t be serious. All of you have only been to one game?

Ruby: Yeah. I was in DMC.

Yang: I was in Street Fighters.

Blake: Ninja Gaiden.

Weiss: Bayonetta.

Jaune: Which one? In fact, red, blue or purple?

Weiss: Purple.

Ren: Nioh.

Nora: God of War Ragnorock

Emerald: Tomb Raider.

Oscar: Kingdom Hearts.

Jaune: Oh my god. For real?

Ruby: Matter of fact, you’ve been gone for a while. What game were you in?

Jaune: I was in four.

Yang: Four? Like the fourth-

Jaune: No I was in four games?

Oscar: What were they like?

Jaune: Um hell.

Ruby: O.

Jaune: I was in hell. First I was in the Resident Evil series.

Yang: Number?

Jaune: 8.

Yang: Oo did you enjoy-

Jaune: I didn’t see the appeal. Especially, if the same tall woman, is trying to kill and eat you. And they were mild compared to a fungus monster, a crazy doll, a fetus, and an insane man with magnetic powers with the temper of a nine-year-old. I don’t know how I survived half that nonsense.

Yang: Damn.

Jaune: That was light work though. Then I went to find something called the Elden Ring.

Nora: Oh. Did you score any maidens?

Jaune: I will hurt you.

Ren: I mean it couldn’t been that bad. What was your role?

Jaune: The victim.

Weiss: Didn’t you have weapons?

Jaune: Of course, in Resident Evil I had guns. Then for Elden Ring, I had swords and magic. Too bad I was against insane bosses who were completely out of my league. And one of them was a man who fought me with his bare hands!

Nora: Oh.

Jaune: Had my butt bent over.

Oscar: Pause.

Jaune: Then Melina. Oh god. Oh god, A dragon flame thrower.

Blake: Jaune?

Jaune: After I got done with that madness, I went further deep into hell. Where my only option was to run.

Ruby: From what?

Jaune: Killer toy monkeys. An evil little girl. Clowns. Human-legged ducks. Golden Statues. Bagged Nurses. A Stuffed Mama Bear doll. I was lucky there weren’t more.

Ruby: Oh god.

Jaune: All while collecting these purple gems and running from the devil while assisting a witch. Who I have to admit is very hot.

Emerald: Who were the worst?

Jaune: The worst ones were the Joy-joy Gang.

Emerald: Who were they?

Jaune: Animatronic robots.

Oscar: How were they so bad?

Jaune: Dark Deception. They’ll let you think you had a chance. First, they can become a giant ass robot. One of them can run faster than me. And when you think you've beaten all three of them, nine more will take their place- They have an army. Unlike the others, those guys had a better chance of catching me. They were just having fun. And when they caught me… … *remembers the beatdown* I swear if it wasn’t for their boss still needing me alive I wouldn’t have survived.

Oscar: What was the last game?

Jaune: … …

Oscar: Jaune? Jaune what was the last game?

Jaune: *remembers the people he lost. The people he’s murdered. The monsters he’s faced. The choice that could change everything.*

Jaune: I have no regrets.

Oscar: What?

Jaune: Nothing Oscar.

Ruby: Um… Are you going to be okay?

Jaune: Yep. As long as we killed the thing?

RWBY and NERO: … …

Jaune: Don’t tell me.

*Roars*

Jaune: Let’s see. Nine of us are here. Giant boss. Yep, we’re in an RPG.

Ruby: Let’s go team.

Jaune: Wait what are our roles though?

*bob*

Ruby: Sniper. Cool.

Yang: Brawler. Nice.

Blake: Ninja. Hm.

Weiss: Mage. Indeed.

Emerald: Thief. Awesome.

Oscar: Support. Ah.

Nora: Berserker. Yes.

Ren: Archer. I’m fine with this.

Jaune: *terrified*

Nora: What’s your role Jaune?

after watching Smough's video about Miquella, i'd like to supplement the video with a bit of my own take based on it, as well as personal findings:

-St. Trina and Miquella may have shared one body because of having been born of a single-bodied Rebis/God. this is an ability only demonstrated by Marika and not even Malenia seems to demonstrate this.. perhaps because her curse to Rot is the reason for her lack of personal identity; she does not have an identity to project other than what she is, due to her affliction. in the current age, all she has been doing is dreaming(*) and awakens promptly when we arrive; likely to the only movement of air she's felt in ages

-with mention of Tarnished Archaeologist's detail about Michaelangelo's diagram of the human, you see that that can then be placed into a five pointed star. i believe it lends at least some creedence to its relation to the image i had shared; the inverted star symbolizing a horned goat, or oftentimes Baphomet- likely a signal of Messmer's presence as something *inherent* to the Golden Order; without the current Elden Ring there would be no Order but the current Order hides a serpent at the Central Intersection, which seems to represent Messmer. Baphomet was/is a pagan cult deity who represents balance and neutrality, and is almost always depicted doing a gesture signifying "as above; so below"; he is even labeled as half-human, half-animal, male and female, good and evil. he is referred to as a man but is essentially every binary set in balance; even seen as both a deity and a demon.

Literally anything not set into a binary in Elden Ring *confounds and terrifies* followers of the Golden Order. it in fact worries Corhyn so deeply that he refuses to believe Goldmask as he grovels in the ashes of the Erdtree; honestly, he looks like he's about to go mad. one of the biggest revelations in the entire game is premised around breaking a binary that was never proven to be binary at all.

in other words, the entire Golden Order is based in dichotomies and binaries, and there is a fundamental flaw in that regard, because it disregards the individual and non-binary aspects of The World to force them into a simple mold that was going to fall with time anyway

like with Gwyn's plight in dark souls, it was never about the people, it was about preventing a coming age and clinging onto whatever control, by preserving the current one forever.

As i've stated many times before, I think Miquella is the physical body and the original entity of Faith while St. Trina is a Lunar Reflection (the Albedo, or an Animus in Jungian Psych) and the hero and protector of the people she often envisions herself as. Messmer residing in the shadow realm represents a deep seated truth within miquella- a sort of "cognitive rubedo" if you will or a "truth of the mind" that he hates as much as others fear and that nobody wants found. part of this truth is marika's fault but has left miquella with a personal guilt that has torn at him so badly that eventually, a shadow of himself tore away and became its own monster from within. with the shadow realm being physically separated from the lands between, it is likely that they are a cognitive realm of marika's, of sorts, as well now.

Marika herself had this shadow hidden away, and this presents rather well because we know that there was a long period after the night of black knives that marika was still active and likely becoming more distraught. on top of this, it is within Jungian psychology that one's anima and animus come to them in dreams.it is also true that a shadow persona is borne of a conflict tearing at one's conscious until it becomes its own entity.

#☆ sonic headcanons but video games!!

(a little simple and silly but they were fun to brain storm)

Sonic!

- personally i think sonic would really like rhythm games, his favourites are project diva x and mega mix, as well as muse dash

- for rhythm games he of course enjoys playing the faster paced songs and starts off with hard, completely skipping normal

- but for party games he really likes to play splatoon with all of his friends

- he definitely gets competitive and likes to push straight through to the other teams base to ink

- but for two player games his favourite is for sure cuphead and he saves that game for whenever him and tails hang out

- sonic always plays as cuphead and tails always plays as mugman

- now taking a bit of a leap here, i think sonic would also really have fun playing fromsoft games, like elden ring and bloodborne (more so elden ring)

- for these games he likes to play them with shadow but they never get anything done because sonic is always messing with him and tricking him

Amy!

- she LOVES animal crossing and put lots of time and effort into making her island cute and pretty with her main theme being something along the lines of coquette for sure

- amy of course tries to convince everyone to play animal crossing as well so they can all see each others islands and decorate together

- she also likes to play rhythm games but is less worried about her score unlike sonic, and she actually enjoys the slow songs

- but if amy had the whole day to herself she could easily spend every hour of it playing the sims which seems to confuse everyone but she’s just having a blast

- she also really loves the legend of zelda games and adores zelda

Shadow!

- okay now i know that amy and sonic already like rhythm games but i think shadow would also really enjoy them

- he definitely challenges sonic to the harder songs and secretly enjoys playing with him, even if he might be a little bitter since his score was only 1% away from beating him

- but circling back to elden ring and bloodborne, he’s actually pretty damn good at those games. in elden ring he prefers a bleed build and in bloodborne he usually just sticks with the saw cleaver

- aaaand despite his gruff attitude he actually likes animal crossing so him and amy like to visit each others islands

- i also think he might enjoy a good story game like omori, dredge, night in the woods, far lone sails etc

Knuckles!

- he’s for sure someone who mainly plays fighter games like street fighters and constantly gets his friends to try and play with him in a 1v1

- same goes with smash bros of course, he really enjoys it and likes to play against sonic

- knuckles also has loads of fun playing any justdance game with his friends. he gets competitive for sure but somehow always manages to get 2nd or 3rd

- and much like amy if he had the whole day to himself he could easily play hours and hours of his favourite game, fallout 4

- he usually likes to join the brotherhood of steal for their power armour and such

Tails!

- tails loves the portal games and especially loves to play portal two with sonic and explain the puzzles

- he also likes to play legend of zelda of games but his favourite is for sure tears of the kingdom because he can invent all kinds of stuff

- once in a while he’ll replay undertale because he enjoys the jokes and story but he can only ever do the pacifist run, he’s very emotionally invested

- and on the days where he simply just wants to sit back and relax he’ll unwind with games like unpacking, a little to the left, some animal crossing and so on

Rouge!

- now she doesn’t play many games but one of her favourites i feel like would be resident evil 4, both the original and the remake (a big part of it is because she really loves ada)

- she’ll play animal crossing for amy but doesn’t invest too much time in decorating and what not, though she does love how cute the game is

- and meanwhile thanks to knuckles she’s gotten pretty good at smash bros and street fighter since she plays with him the most

- and last but not least she also likes to play fromsoft games with shadow but she’s definitely more chill while playing

TWISTED WONDERLAND CHARACTERS AS GAMERS!!! (a.k.a what games would they play)

Riddle Rosehearts: Since his mom would never let him play, the most he can have is mobile games with quizzes and tests. Not even Candy Crush TT

Ace Trappola: I could see him play Resident Evil Village. He says he's cool with horror games, until he gets jumpscared and screams louder than a mandrake root, just to be scolded by Riddle and be laughed at by Grim and Deuce.

Deuce Spade: The Need for Speed Franchise. He would buy every version just to drive whenever he has time after classes.

Trey Clover: Cooking Mama on a 3DS. He would play with his siblings and would get a gold medal on each dish.

Cater Diamond: Anything that is currently trending, so he can stream it for likes, shares and subscribes. He would laugh every time he dies in Elden Ring but would end the laughter with a depressive sentence.

Leona Kingscholar: Chess Online. Next question.

Ruggie Bucchi: Anything that is Free-to-Play. Would never play Genshin Impact in fact, just because that's too much dedication for someone who works for Leona as well.

Jack Howl: Wolf Among Us. He got interested because of the title but got addicted to the story and the characters.

Azul Ashengrotto: Animal Crossing New Horizon. He finds Tom Nook as his ultimate role-model. He also keeps thinking how Timmy and Tommy are like a purer versions of Jade and Floyd.

Jade Leech: Strange Horticulture. He can finally take care of plants not just physically.

Floyd Leech: Fighting games for sure. Street Fighter, Tekken even Skullgirls on his phone.

Kalim Al-Asim: The Pokemon Franchise. He finds every one of them adorable, so he buys every game. He always has a hard time when he have to fight tho. He also cries every time one of them falls unconscious.

Jamil Viper: The Just Dance Franchise. He always complains when the motion controllers don't read his movements correctly and he looses points.

Vil Schoenheit: He would totally enjoy Love Nikki-Dress UP Queen. He loves collecting rare clothing and actually enjoys the story as well.

Rook Hunt: A lot of FPS type of games. He would annoy the other players on Team Fortress 2 or Rainbow Six Siege for sure because of his good skills. They often think he's cheating.

Epel Felmier: GTA 5. He's just like a child with strict parents, when he hears Vil's footsteps he turns the game of and switches to Farming Simulator with an innocent smile.

Idia Shroud: ANY game. He would finish anything that he ever started, even if he hates the game for some reason. He would play until he sees the notification about the Platinum Trophy being unlocked. During multilayers his very competitive tho.

Ortho Shroud: Multiplayer games that are cute, like: Mario Party, Super Smash Bros or Mario Kart. They play with Idia when the other is free from other games.

Malleus Draconia: Pou on a smartphone. Once he figures out how to unlock the smartphone tho... (RIP Pou)

Lilia Vanrouge: Doom Eternal. Or just in general all the Doom games. He tends to blast the OST at the dorm as well.

Silver: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, since it's very relaxing but keeps him entertained enough to not fall asleep.

Sebek Zigvolt: Plants VS. Zombies. He really doesn't have any skills so he needs something simple. After that he might try Minecraft I guess...

2022 in Gaming

The Last of Us: Part I - Naughty Dog / Sony Horizon: Forbidden West - Guerilla Games / Sony Elden Ring - FromSoftware / Bandai Namco Ent. Dying Light 2: Stay Human - Techland The Quarry - Supermassive Games / 2K As Dusk Falls - Interior Night / Xbox Game Studios Stray - BlueTwelve Studio / Annapurna Games God of War: Ragnarok - Santa Monica Studio / Sony Crisis Core: Reunion - Square Enix A Plague Tale: Requiem - Asobo Studio / Focus Ent.

When I think of the games that have come and gone this year (and still need to come, in some cases), few words come to mind, words that also describe their worlds and those who live within them.

Protective. Purposeful. Persistent.

Humans that love, gods that hate. Animals, children, soldiers, survivors. Fathers, daughters, sons, brothers, sisters. Knights and beasts, queens and robots. Stories of us and of them, bringing us together in an uncertain world, journeying through bitterness, through betrayal, through dark and light, to us. To us.

It's always interesting, seeing how each year's games tend to reflect the world we live in ourselves; 2020 brought to us The Last of Us: Part II, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy VII Remake, among others. Stories of revenge and redemption, tearing each other apart while we were apart from each other in a ruthless and unknown pandemic. The following year, some of the games brought to us were Psychonauts 2, Resident Evil: Village, and It Takes Two; these gave us stories of teamwork, compassion, and care, whether you were saving your own daughter or journeying through the mental illness-ridden brains of your mentors, those games brought us back together and helped teach us a few things about ourselves.

This year was almost like a fire that 2021 had sparked to life. We were ready to get back to grand adventures and epic fights across all mediums, big or small, and we embraced the lovely little indie games along the way. And while the path ahead surely is uncertain and frightening, at least we have some pretty good storytellers to comfort us when we need it the most.

To everyone who worked to bring us these stories this year, and every year, whether an assistant, director, actor, writer, tester, programmer, animator, or anywhere in between, thank you.

Elden Ring AU "Meeting the Demigods": Family Talk

It'd been a long day for the Tarnished, killing Alexander, killing Gurranq, losing hewg, killing Gideon...ok that wasn't a hard part for them but fighting the previous Elden Lord with Radahn and Godrick screaming in his ear definitely didn't help. So they decided to just go back to Limgrave to relax after defeating him, deciding to camp out. He talked with Ranni for a bit before realizing that the 2 of them couldn't hear everyone else, so they decided to seize the opportunity and sleep with relative ease, with the Tarnished in their makeshift sleeping bag and Ranni in her own small one

But when they "awoke" in the mindscape the demigods resided in, they realized they came in the middle of a heated discussion

Morgott: If you think I will ENTERTAIN this idea for one more second-

Mohg: Why WOULDN'T YOU, BROTHER? Out of everyone here who all grew up in cushy royalty and decadence, some of whom even AGREE with me as WELL, I thought YOU would understand why I agree with the Tarnished-

Ranni: Agree with them on what?

They all turn to look at the Tarnished and their sister, some surprised and others a bit nervous

Tarnished: Yeah I'm gonna be honest with you lot, Mohg agreeing with me on something is concerning, so I would appreciate, uh, an explanation?

Rykard: Do not worry, it is not something that is as atrocious as his, breathes snakily, usual activities

Godrick: Oh no of course not, it's only one of the most atrocious acts in history, you buffoons

Radahn: Now calm down nephew-

Godrick: Just because Marika and Radagon are one and the same does NOT permit you to call me that, RADAHN

Malenia: That aside, Godrick is not entirely correct, it's a bit more... complicated

Tarnished: Ok... so what is it?

They all kind of look at each other for a second, before Morgott speaks

Morgott: The wish of that girl, Roderika, has become your own, the wish to slay Marika

Mohg: Yes, a wish that my foolish brother refuses to understand

Malenia: Because she is our God and Mother, Mohg

Mohg: Maybe to you, but to me and the others from the Shunning Grounds, she is nothing but an evil Queen who condemned us

Radahn: You have to admit Malenia, he has a point

Rykard: Indeed, Marika has affected this land for a long time, covered up what came before and snuffed out any who worshipped other gods

Godrick: She is the most powerful being in this world, it is impossible for us to kill her

Ranni: "Us"? If I may, you all may be struggling with the morality of the situation, but in case you all forgot, my consort defeated each of you, did they not?

They all look at each other sheepishly before muttering agreeances in a "...Ok yeah sure I guess"

Radahn: I suppose it makes sense then for the Tarnished to decide

Morgott: I suppose, but we should at least tell them our-

Tarnished: There's no need, I'm going to slay Marika

Mohg: HA! I TOLD YOU, BROTHER

Rykard: A wise choice

Godrick: That is absurd, even for you, Tarnished. You cannot come to a decision so rashly

Malenia: I do not think it to be a "rash" decision, Godrick, correct, Tarnished?

Tarnished:...Yeah, you're right, I've actually thought about this for a long while, I played with the idea for a while, but then... well...

Ranni: The Sewers, correct?

Tarnished: No, Ranni, it's not just that, it's... for the longest time before I came to the Lands Between, I heard so much about you all, about the demigods, about Queen Marika, the Golden Order, all of it. And as a child, I thought that it must have been amazing to live guided by their grace, to be guided by the grace of the Erdtree that was taken from us.

As they all look at each other with guilt now, as they listen to the words of the Tarnished

Tarnished:...But now all I want is to go back to living a life without grace, because all it has done is brought me pain. I've had to slay my friends, watch people I care for fade away into madness, seen cities condemned since the Order didn't approve of them, people who were born and condemned for just existing, and submerging themselves in self-hatred to the point of it being worship for their oppressors

As Morgott looks down solemnly, with Mohg putting a hand on his twin's shoulder

Tarnished: and now, after all this time, Hewg, Roderika, Rogier, Fia, Blaidd, Iji, Rya, Bernahl, and Melina. All of them have given me the chance to give them retribution, to offer a way for them to be free of Marika. And maybe, maybe she too was guided by grace and it was the Greater Will, but from what I've heard? For all I know? The Greater Will is in that tree and if I have to go through Marika or Radagon or whoever the hell to slay it then I will do so, because I don't care about any of it anymore, and I just... I wish that I never came to the Lands Between, that I just ignored grace, and lived in my old home, because while it wasn't the best, it was better than the pain I've felt, but I can't.

As Ranni puts a hand on their shoulder, they look at her as she gives a knowing nod, as the others begin to nod as well

Godrick:...Well, as long as you don't fuck up and die, then I suppose that you can possibly do so

Radahn: Yes, if you could defeat all of us, I'm sure that could equate to your strength being enough

Morgott: If those are your reasons, then... I suppose I cannot call them unreasonable

Rykard: Indeed, with our support, you will surely be able to kill Marika

Malenia: And if need be, the Greater Will, considering your past exploits

Mohg: You will take your pound of flesh from them, and then some, and then OUR pounds of flesh

Ranni: Indeed, those who await the Age of Stars can rest knowing they have such a champion

Tarnished: Thank you all, now then... I need to decide which weapon to use-

Morgott: I swear if you say PIZZA CUTTER AGAIN

Mohg: USE THE BLOOD SPEAR, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO

Godrick: No no NO, USE MY DRAGON FIST, ITS BETTER THAN ANY SPEAR THAT BLOODLUSTED FOOL COULD COME UP WITH

Rykard: Oh please, the blade I used would be much better for such as in than these fools' mediocre arsenal

Malenia: Clearly my blade is much better, considering how many times it slew you

Radahn: True, but you know what's better than one blade?

Malenia: I swear Radahn if you-

Radahn: TWO GIANT BLADES

Ranni: Or you could, you know, use my wedding gift~

Godrick: That blade is MEDIOCRE AT BEST AND YOU KNOW IT RANNI

Ranni: It is not mediocre, how dare you, you little wretch

And as they all bicker, with Radahn and Malenia arguing over the quality of their blades, Ranni trying to choke out Godrick's small spirtual form, Morgott trying to calm Mohg's zealotry, and Rykard hyping up his blade, the Tarnished smiles, realizing that in spite of all they lost, they're not alone, as they have these weirdos who, despite their... peculiarities, all support them

Hi it's the Slate anon again um. I love your posts on botw modern AUs just imagining all the antics they would get into. You know they would all have a group chat together, Urbosa writes with proper punctuation and everything, every one of Zelda's messages is programmed to sign with "Her Royal Highness Zelda Bosphoramus Hyrule CCLXXVII" and Daruk writes every single thing in all caps. Link as quiet as he is means every time they see "Link is typing..." it's a national event (and it ends up being "ok" or "🫡")

Daruk would have a long distance game night every week for a "bonding session" but an hour each time is spent in him figuring out how to turn on the camera for the video call. Mipha invites Zelda, Revali and link to her animal crossing island and Zelda does nothing but fill the museum with animals while revali spends an embarrassing amount of time decorating the island. A Mario kart session nearly led to the murder of multiple champions

In the video game world, there are games that get the most attention to the public and some games sold 6 million, 10 million or 20 million copies to the public. But there are games that get less attention to the public eye.

Not Baldur's Gate 3, Elden Ring, The Witcher 3, etc.

I'm referring to Palworld and Helldivers 2 in this year.

Welp, both games are getting the hype today.

I like those two games. And I won't do a review them.

Okay, okay. This post was clickbait, but scroll down the page.

I've seen people were playing Titanfall 2 to this day and how the game wasn't popular back then. I wouldn't mind if that game was popular, while the amount of shooter games was oversaturated back in 2016 and 2017. Many people had noticed and played Overwatch, COD Infinite Warfare, Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, Destiny and Battlefield 1.

Despite Titanfall 2 sold not big numbers of copies back in 2016, I still love Titanfall 2, but it's not for everyone.

Do you know what underrated game I used to like in 2010, but don't want to play it anymore today?

Here's another example. Back in 2005, gamers and me got to play Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Resident Evil 4, Burnout Revenge, Need for Speed Most Wanted or God of War on PS2.

But not Psychonauts, until gamers have noticed that underrated game years later.

I'm sure that not every game was made for you. If you bought a game on Steam and you didn't like it for the first 1 hour, you could refund it.

It's easier said than done, but if you're on PC, you can pirate a single-player game and see if that's your vibe. You can't do that on consoles, unless you find a way to download softwares to play an older game.

Can you enjoy the game, even though it's not your vibe or thing?

I could say yes. I played Skyrim in early 2012 and I liked it. I'm biased towards science fiction, but I appreciate any game that's fantasy.

I had a nice affair with a male Argonian in my journey of the game.

I don't know if Helldivers 2 would be the GOTY in 2024, I don't have big expectations of it.

Despite how good and fun Helldivers 2 is, though the campaign is non-existent

nor Palworld…

Just enjoy either of those two games, while the servers are still running live.

The room spun as it slowly came into focus. All you knew was that you were walking down the street when there was suddenly a sharp pain in your neck. Things all started to get weird a few years ago when the man that you were dating suddenly disappeared without a trace and there was suddenly some sort of secrets police who started questioning you about stuff. Thankfully, they only bothered you for about a week, and then decided that you didn’t know anything that could be useful to them. After that life went back to normal; normal as it could be that is, as you were periodically left to wonder who was the guy you knew as Alex Spencer really and what he could have possibly done to get those sorts of people after him. There was also the fact they all told you it would be better, safer, if you didn’t know his actual name; that was what made you really think it could be serious. It really bothered you as you thought that the two of you were getting pretty close. It seemed like a blessing to find a guy that wasn’t just super model levels of attractive, but also super genius levels of smart. Yet, just as you were starting to finally forget about him a few years later, you were attacked on the way back from the store, and everything that those agents were able to tell you came rushing back as the world around you went dark.

“He’s coming around.” A woman announced to someone across the room. After this a pair of black boots came into your vision from where you were lying on the floor. “About time.” A voice you knew said as you were propped up on the wall. You would recognize him anywhere. “Al-“ you started to rasp, but the woman interrupted woman snapping, “Quiet!” She suddenly shrank back when Alex glowered at her and snarled, “Enough! This one is only for me to handle.” As your thoughts were slowly coming back to you, you were running over all of your life choices and were trying to figure out what exactly lead you here; well, other than dating the man in front of you. You had always heard that there were downsides to dating men that were a bit older that you were, but this situation was probably not on most people’s lists. After a moment the woman seemed to practically drape herself across him. “So, tell me. Why exactly do we need this miserable thing anyway?” The woman asked as she eyed you scornfully. Even though you hadn’t seen him, much less were close to him for about two years, seeing the woman getting that physically intimate with someone that you dated was starting to get under your skin.

Sure, there was plenty of things now that were sending red flags, but when the two of you were together you were fairly close (or so you thought), and him leaving so abruptly made it so that there was always this emptiness he left that you weren’t able to ever really replace. “I’ve already told you, Excella, that’s my business. Now leave.” The last part was accentuated by him shrugging her off of him so harshly that he practically threw her with his shoulder. “But, Albert, I-“ A quick snap of his fingers was all it took to get her to shut up. He pointed expectantly at the door and barked, “Out!” You braced yourself on the nearby wall and started to stand up while she scurried to the door, heels clicking the whole way. She took one more look over to you and snarked, “Not even worth his time.” You were about fed up with her and went to say something, but there was a hand on your shoulder that gave you pause. “Down, boy.” The man behind you whispered as the woman closed the door behind her.

As soon as the two of you were alone, he turned you to look at him. “Albert?” Was the first thing that you questioned. There were plenty of other things that could have been asked, perhaps should have asked rather, but your head was still a bit fuzzy and questioning his name seemed to be a good question to umbrella everything else in. “Yes, my real name. Albert Wesker. Had to borrow from other people I used to know when we met. Apologies for telling you otherwise, but letting you know who I really was would have been risky at the time for many reasons.” You blinked a few times trying to clear your head as best you could, but long-form sentences were still a bit out of the question. “Those officers?” Was all you were able to get out of the question you were asking. Thankfully, he was still able to catch what you meant. “Partially, yes. They were also the reason I didn’t come to get you sooner.” You wobbled on you feet and he braced you up from behind, taking the closeness for another opportunity to whisper in your ear once more. “I missed my favorite boy.” He hummed as he placed a small kiss on the back of your ear.

As difficult as it was turning out to be, you weren’t going to just let him just swoop back into your life and carry you away to who knows where with some sort of military personnel after him, unassumingly for good reasons. Knowing better than to bring all of that up right away, you decided to come at it from a more, casual… mundane angle. “Really? Because you certainly disappeared quickly; not to mention stayed away for a few years.” You huffed. He noticed that you didn’t pull away from him though, so he knew he had already got you wrapped around his finger again. “I told you.” He purred onto the place where he started to kiss along your neck, “I didn’t want to. It couldn’t be helped.” You started to relax onto him and that was the final signal that he needed to know you were his again. Still, you had to try and resist; not that he minded. He always thought your stubbornness was fun. “Then what about her?” You looked at the door where… Excella, was it?… had left through. There was pained groan from Albert before he grumbled, “She is an unfortunate necessity to my work. Don’t worry. She’s got nothing on my favorite guy.”

You weren’t too sure you wanted to know what his work was, but you did have one more pressing question, “Then why did she need to be in here when I woke up?” Albert chuckled though the most recent kiss he gave on the edge of your jaw. “Why that’s a quite simple answer as well.” He turned your face to look at his, a familiar, deviant smirk etched across his lips. “I wanted to make you jealous.”He stated very matter-of-factly before kissing you properly, his mouth pressing onto yours. It was good to know he hadn’t seemed to change much since the last time that you saw him. Trouble making as always.

Hey, I've been loving these shorter posts lately and I have a lot of thoughts for them so I hope you don't mind me sharing one! I had the thought of a modern Shinobu playing horror games both for the horror and just to scare her S/O and I wanted to ask what you thought the others would like as well? I'm thinking farm games like Stardew are things that Kanae would like but I think it's also funny to imagine the poor girl has hardly touched a controller in her life and is constantly mixing up controls or having to look down at her controller. As usual I hope you have a nice day, you deserve it!

My mental catalogue of video games is pretty poor, but I’ll do my best to match them up with a couple, or a genre at least.

Shinobu:

100% yes to Shinobu and horror games. She is canonically into ghost stories, so it just makes sense. Some good ones that I think she would enjoy are The Mortuary Assistant, Outlast and the Resident Evil series. If she’s playing with friends, Phasmophobia is a fun choice.

Kanae and Mitsuri:

Putting them together because I feel like they could be on the same wavelength with this. I agree with Stardew Valley as something they could both get behind. Kanae focuses on completing the community center while Mitsuri is more concerned over who she will choose to romance and making sure her cat has water each morning. Thousands of hours played between the two of them. They would probably enjoy Animal Crossing too. I could also see them enjoying cooking games like Plate Up/ Overcooked.

If the art of a game looks deceptively cute, they may get more than they bargained for. I could see Shinobu/ Kanao playing Hollow Knight or Little Nightmares and they decide to watch only to get bummed or freaked out. Kanae would probably handle it better than Mitsuri.

Kanao:

I had a really good one, but I immediately forgot it and it’s not coming back! AHHH! But she probably prefers single player in whatever she’s doing. I think she’d be good at Elden Ring/ Dark Souls kind of games. She would probably be good at fps games too, but since they are usually multiplayer and she doesn’t want to voice chat with strangers, she doesn’t play.

(Edit: I remembered! It was Stray! She’d like Stray, I think!)

Aoi:

She really doesn’t strike me as a video game person. If she’s invited to play something, she’ll do it, but she often finishes last. Probably the most relevant games in her life are mobile games like Candy Crush or one of those cat collecting games. Mitsuri would probably like that one too and they would talk about which cats they have.

Wandering — [T] After Order 66, after the crash of the Tribunal, after his Commander– after Ahsoka told him it would be best to part ways, Rex wandered. He wandered because he couldn’t stay still. If he was still, if he stopped for longer than it took to eat and sleep, then he would think.

Little Orphan Ani — [T] Anakin's men were wrong. Cody and Obi-Wan weren't father figures to him. So what if Cody's disappointment felt like a physical weight on his shoulders and he spent undue time and energy trying to make Obi-Wan proud? They weren't his parents. Not that they would be bad dads. To someone else. Not him, because he didn't see them that way, but someone else who needed unconditional support and care. (in which Cody and Obi-Wan dad at Anakin and Anakin is oblivious, right up until he isn't)

Truly, Deeply — [T] Of course Obi-Wan was not blind to the emotional, hormonal storm around his Padawan. One would have to be blind to both the Force and the physical world to miss it. And really, Anakin must have forgotten that his Master was not only Force-sensitive, but also connected to his mind through their training bond. (in which Obi-Wan is painfully aware of Anakin's feelings for Padmé and also forever wondering where he went wrong in trying to teach his Padawan subtlety)

Commander Fox Week 2021:

exhaustion (tumblr link) — [T] Fox has been running on fumes for days, counting down the time until he can drop onto the nearest surface and finally sleep.

hope — [T] Enough is enough. The Republic was doomed to fail, that much is clear. The Empire may have been inevitable as well. All Fox knows is that he’s finished, he can’t pretend anymore. He can’t fall in line like his mind has been wiped blank. So he decides to do something drastic.

family — [T] The fear-mongering rumors on Kamino about Fox being some kind of abusive, tyrannical prick have reached a point where they can’t go unaddressed. His shinies are clearly afraid and miserable with their assignment to the Guard, which Fox understands, but he can try to help them feel more at home. He can dispel some of the rumors.

laughter — [G] Existential debate rages in Fox’s office.

vode an — [M] Order 66 wiped away the clones’ autonomy, but mindless drones don’t have the wherewithal to feel guilt for their actions. The Rebellion is trying to get clones out of the purge trooper program, but freedom comes at a cost.

brothers — [T] Senator Amidala returns from Scipio with the 501st. This is the aftermath.

five times Nocte took care of the Corries, and one time they returned the favor (under construction) — [M] what it says on the tin

* red hands and black deeds — [M] Fox gets assigned to the Coruscant Guard after his bravery and sacrifices for the Republic during the First Battle of Geonosis. This job is a long shot from the one he spent his entire life preparing for; it's a war on a different front and it's on him to get his men out alive. Whether he'll get himself out with his sanity intact is up for debate.

* talk is overrated, let's just fight — [E] The Guard didn't have a designated Jedi, but they had the absolute nuisance that was Quinlan Vos. He was already more than Fox could handle. The man was at least halfway banthashit insane and seemed to derive some sadistic pleasure from derailing Fox's entire day. For all that Rex and Cody complained about their admittedly crazy Generals, Fox struggled to believe that they could possibly be worse than Vos.

* a cry at the final breath — [M] CC-2224 was a good soldier, had been decanted, raised, and trained to be a good solider. Good soldiers follow orders, so that's what he did. At times, in the deep recesses of in mind, he might questions his orders, but he always followed them. Cody has to re-learn how to do more than follow orders, to live and fight of his own accord. He's been a soldier all his life, fighting in wars that aren't his. What is freedom to a man who has only ever known captivity?
