Yang, angrily: Get dressed vomit boy! We got to kick someone’s ass today!
Nora, immediately up: Hell yeah! Let’s go!
Jaune, baffled: Wait hold on! What’s happening?! Why are you angry?! Wait is that your team behind you!?
Ruby, with her weapon: Yep! We’re going to kick someone’s butt today!
Jaune: Why? Wait, even Blake and Weiss are here too?
Weiss: We need to break some bones, Jaune.
Blake: This honestly has to be done.
Ren: Uh….what’s happening exactly?
Yang, showing Ren her scroll: Look at this shit!
Ren, looking at scroll:……..Nora, where are my weapons?
Nora: Hell yeah! I don’t know what this is about but this is going to be amazing!
Jaune, completely: Okay, this is not like Ren at all. What the hell got all of you guys riled up so bad?
Yang: This! *shows Jaune her scroll*
Scroll: *a website that has a countdown to Pyrrha’s 18th birthday*
Jaune:……is this like the scenario with the twins from full house?
Yang: Yep.
Jaune:…..do you know where this person who made this is?
Yang: Yeah.
Jaune:…….Nora, pack as many grenades you have.
Nora: Woohoo!
Pyrrha, walking in: Hey guys. What are you doing?
Yang: Oh nothing. Just grabbing your boyfriend and your team to do something for your birthday. Catch you around.
Pyrrha, smiling: O-oh, okay. What are you planning?
Yang: We can’t spoil that. It’s a surprise.
Pyrrha, smiling: Right. Okay. Have fun.

Yang: *Bored out of her skull, reading a "Teen" magazine*
Weiss: *Enjoying her simple healthy breakfast salad*
Ruby: *Enjoying her not-so-healthy breakfast cereal*
Blake: *Catching up on her "literature"*
Yang: *Perks up on reading a topic* "Just how gay are you and your partner? Take this simple test and find out!"
Weiss: Please no, I just want to finish breakfast.
Yang: *Ignoring her, turning to Blake* Wanna take this test with me, Blakey?
Blake: *Closing her book, raising a skeptical eyebrow* You do know we have no need for such a test, right?
Yang: We don't?
Blake: We don't. And I can prove it. *Puts away her book and stands up* Stand up.
Yang: *Already standing, curious* Okay...
Blake: *Walks over, standing close to Yang, their height difference evident as she looks up at the blonde* Now, on your knees.
Yang: *Wide-eyed in shock* Uhm, wha-what?!
Blake: *Touches Yang's jawline* On. Your. Knees.
Yang: *Knees buckle, thudding on the floor* Okay...
Blake: *Now looking down at the blonde, eyes bright in delight and with a wicked grin* And that, my dear girl, that is how gay you are. Understood?
Yang: *In need of clean underwear* Yes, ma'am.

Weiss: *In despair as she holds her hands in her head* I just want one, ONE, simple morning without my breakfast being ruined.
Ruby: *Still shoveling her cereal* Meh, I'm over it.
Weiss: Ugh... I should go join JNPER (Jaune, Nora, Oscar, Emerald, Ren). Surely they're... normal compared to whatever these two are doing all day.
Ruby: Probably best if you didn't.
Weiss: Pray tell, why?
Ruby: Oscar, and by extension Ozpin, is mostly busy with Theodore and other high-ranking huntsfolk for whatever business is most pressing but the rest... *Slightly cringes as she weighs whether or not she should tell*
Weiss: Ruby. Tell. Me!
Ruby: *Sighs, shrugs and spills the proverbial beans* They're probably banging right about now.
Weiss: ...
Ruby: Yeah... after our return from the Ever After there was this whole thing where Ren and Nora wanted- Needed more like- to reconnect and reconcile with Jaune. Emerald was just desperate looking for a place to belong. Anyway, long story short, they're likely banging right now.
Weiss: *Thudding her head on the table* My fucking friend group is a Gods damned mess!
Ruby: I'm still traumatized from walking in on them, but you don't hear me complain. Nora's way more flexible than you'd expect.
Weiss: *Whinging into the table surface* UUUUUGH...

Ren: *looking around* This is Oniyuri, a settlement made by rich people that tried to become its own city. I heard my parents talking about it, i think it was destroyed by a grimm.
Ruby: You mean Grimms, right?
Ren: *shaking his head* No, a single grimm.
"Jaune": This area is known for a legend. A grimm riding a horse. A nuckelavee if you prefer.
_NPRR: *looking at Jaune with a strange look*
Jaune: *eyes flashing Blue* What? Not all stories from professor Port were soporific.
Ren: *sigh* In any case, we should keep moving. I don't know why but i feel like someone is watching us.
Pyrrha: You think it's a grimm?
Ren: I'm not sure. But i can sense danger nearby and i don't want to stick around and find out.

After seeing Jaune's original concept art and how much it resembles Oscar...
It made me think, what if Ozpin's soul transferring to Jaune was absolutely locked into the story?
Naturally, many would say Oscar's removal helps alleviate cast bloat. Hard to beat that argument. However, what if he were still involved? Only, rather than being Oz's host, his role is something more wholesome: he is Jaune's anchor to life alongside Nora, Ren and Ruby.
Perhaps he's a student at Haven with his own fighting style, perhaps they rescue him in Mistral as another victim of the Grimm. Either way Oscar presents an innocent, green POV for Jaune to look back on who he used to be. Jaune still lost Pyrrha, and now has a man he loathes suck in his mind. Nora, Ren, and Ruby are the ones keeping him grounded. With time, Jaune slowly opens up to this new young friend. Without the Ozpin angst, Oscar's empathy, his curiosity, his understanding, his support to the people who let him into their lives is allowed to shine. If allowed to travel with RWBYJNR to Atlas, Jaune finds someone he didn't expect to find in Oscar, a little brother...
