Say what you will, but the "Shiny" sequence from Moana has one of my favorite angst/hurt scenes ever
Jaded, cocky, once-powerful character discovers they lost their touch? Check.
Get their ass handed to them when they try to take on an old rival? Check.
Said rival airs out their trauma/insecurities in front of their new partner? Check.
Partner saves them last minute despite getting off on the wrong foot? Check.

Tw: Suggested Mental Health Issues, Death/Suicide and Alcoholism.
Tumblr media
When Denki finally quits, he expects Bakugo to shout.
There’s a pit in his stomach and something bitter on the back of his tongue as he thinks about telling him.
He wonders what he’ll say. If he’ll call him all of the things he did back in UA, or if he’ll parrot the papers, his family, his old therapist, the bad one that made things worse.
He doesn’t know what Bakugo will say, but he knows he has to tell him first. Before his girlfriend, his agency, his own mother…
Tumblr media
Bakugo doesn’t shout.
He doesn’t raise his voice, doesn’t snarl or snap.
Instead, he nods. Listens as Denki stumbles his way through an explanation, tells him about the nightmares, the drinking, how he used to use sex to cope… He even tells him about that night, the night he almost threw everything away.
And at the end, Bakugo knocks their shoulders together in the harshly loving way only he can and ruffles his hair.
‘’M proud of you.’ He says, voice scratchy from silence. ‘Doesn’t make you less of a Hero either.’
Denki frets ‘But, I won’t be. I -.’
But, Bakugo is quick to put a stop to it. ‘Reckon you’ll still be a Hero to a Hell of a lot of people if you’re working or not.’ He shrugs. ‘That girl of yours especially.’
Denki sobs, wet and broken and yet, he feels the lightest he has in years.

Helloo~~Would you maybe consider writing something for Barbossa x Gibbs from PotC?? There's literally no content for them since I'm probably the only one who ships them/// It really does not matter to me what the story is, or how long, just whatever you wanna write or can come up with, preferably no smut (I love fluff and angst though ^^). Anywaysss all this is IF you decide to write something for them, if not then I totally understand, no pressure <3
Hi!! Thank you for sending this ( and sorry for this late reply)
I can always try, but to be honest first i have to go through a massive movie rewatch focusing my attention in these two characters. Regarding POTC i feel Will, Elizabeth and Jack are the characters i know better, the ones i would feel more in my comfort zone writing about.
I know how it feels when you are into something and can't find content, it's so frustrating! It's the whole reason why I started writing and my blog is, with a few exceptions like the Stranger Things fics, all about underrated characters of known fandoms or forgotten pieces of media I like but can't find content for cause there is no fandom for it.
After an attentive franchise rewatch I can do my best for you with a try writing for them. I just need to get to know them better, despite I have grew up rewatching the movies i never focused too much on them.

ESCAPING INTO A SHIP
So what exactly made me latch onto the Sydcarmy ship like a leech on a water buffalo?
Tumblr media
It was unexpected (for me)! Yes, the very first meeting between Syd and Carm did make an impact. I thought "Oooh, what's this?!" However, Carmy was/is such a mess that I quickly dismissed it. And Sydney just seemed to want his professional approval and a partner in making something great after the soul-crushing failure of Sheridan. So, the first season I personally didn't feel a mutual sexual/romantic tension, more like an automatic respect and shared goals/passions. Sydney nor Carm were obviously trying to flirt. Most slow burns on TV are 100% obvious like a Jeanine and Gregory (Abbott Elementary), Nick and Jess (New Girl), Jake and Amy (Brooklyn 99), Jim and Pam (The Office)...Until Braciole Ep. 8 that is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
S. 1 Episode 8- I won't get into everything but Carmy was desolate. Yes, he became a psycho chef and two people quit in Ep.7. However, he mourned Sydney more than Marcus. She was in his flashback/nightmare (?), then the way he told Tina that she looked like Syd (the poor pup), him texting her before opening the note from Mikey, and finally the most gorgeous locked gaze scene since Pride and Prejudice (2005). The soft lighting, the music, the colors, the mind-reading...magical. I still didn't get it initially. Silly, blind me.
Tumblr media
Mentorship where??? Season 2 Carm and Syd's "mentorship" dynamic is pretty much over. They are true partners and spending more time together. They're dressing alike even when not in uniform, finishing each other's sentences or talking in unison. Sydney is opening up more of herself and Carm is asking to know more. They use the ASL sign for sorry with each other and no one else until ep 10. Then there's that locker scene in ep. 1 or 2, when they almost hang out just cause. However, Carmy misses the moment and there's the return of the kicked pup face. Before being on the ship I was delighted with all of their scenes and was looking forward to the food tour. They just ROCK together on screen.
Tumblr media
Classic Love Triangle- Who's Claire? She's "Claire Bear", the prototypical "cool girl", who is willing to chase an socially awkward, wrong-number-giving man, despite being a pretty ER resident with no shortage of options. Did a CW writer get hired? Anyways, why was her presence used almost exclusively to put strain on Carmy and Sydney's relationship instead of The Bear generally? We could have had scenes with Nat, Richie, and Marcus arguing with Carmy about him being distracted due to Claire. They saved 99% of that for Sydney. They CHOSE to insert her in between or just after scenes with him and Claire. Showing Sydney's tattoos and her getting dressed with the stained chef's coat juxtaposed with them was WILD.
Tumblr media
I LOVE that both believe their interpersonal problems are solely about The Bear/business partnership. In most "slowburns" the characters are far more conscious and actively work to keep things platonic. Jeremy might be a smidge aware that Sydney means more to him after the panic attack, but I bet he's shoved it down. All he knows afterward is that being with Claire feels wrong hence ignoring her call and recommitting to SYDNEY. He could of said "You all/This/The Bear deserve my full focus etc..." He was also nagged into greeting Claire at Friends and Family, seemed anxious when Fak brought her up right before The Table scene, and also while explaining that "she's great" to Sydney. He was at peace when focused on Sydney in the moment below.
Tumblr media
The actors: Jeremy and Ayo's real life friendship is warms my soul and their chemistry onscreen is amazing. DON'T WASTE IT!!!
Tumblr media
Jeremy smolders on screen. I want to see Carmy continue to stare, yearn, fall, then eventually confess and for Sydney to reciprocate his feelings. Anyhoo, does anyone else melt when Carm means business?! They do this twice in season one and it's not good for me. Whew, I need to clean my whole house or run a few miles.
Tumblr media
Finally, there's so many other parallels between these two. They are fearful avoidants, have a missing or dead parent, jacked up stomachs, use sarcasm, but are generally very earnest, they struggle with anxiety, are compassionate, are perfectionists, peace-makers, give people multiple chances, are workaholics...so much more. A lot of that is also ME, lol.
Tumblr media
Sydcarmy is my Roman Empire. I love them as much as you can fictional characters and they deserve the most tender, angsty, triumphant, romantic best-friends to more love story.

something else about fit and tubbo’s relationship: it’s very special to me and they do love each other very much, but i do think this current tension was almost bound to happen not matter what. even without the tubbo homophobia. yes, tubbo self-sabotaged and made the situation current happen. yes, fit is valid to be upset at tubbo. but the unequal footing tubbo was reacting to is VERY real and something they BOTH built and something I think ONLY tubbo is fully aware of.
while i don’t think fit and tubbo’s relationship is paternal at all, i do think it is heavily informed by the age difference. when they meet, tubbo is young, inexperienced, and reminds fit of his son. in contrast, fit is a stable older presence who knows the island secrets. their early dynamic is a bit like a mentorship: fit checks in on tubbo, tubbo asks about the island, fit decides what to tell tubbo, tubbo sees how someone with experience handles the island.
losing the eggs only strengthens this pattern. tubbo is a mess and relies a lot on fit (and pac) to help get him through. fit is hurting too, but obviously he is not going to share all his fears with a teenager having a breakdown (that’s not how he operates, not when he can channel his emotions into something productive instead like checking on tubbo, pac, and the island). tubbo meanwhile strives to have walls as strong as fit's, but even if he won’t talk about it directly, his emotions bleed through a lot of the time anyway. so fit continues to check in on tubbo, and tubbo continues to let fit in and they grow closer because of it. we have lots of sweet moments in their friendship of tubbo letting fit see his vulnerabilities (about the eggs, with fred, about his day to day concerns) but we don’t see a lot of fit sharing his vulnerabilities. early on, fit makes it very clear to tubbo that tubbo has not earned the right to his secrets, and what he knows about the island, and what he does. fit visits tubbo and then leaves to go on secret jobs tubbo knows nothing about and can’t follow him to. tubbo doesn’t know anything about fit’s memories, or his resistance work, or his purpose. this was an initial source of tension between them, and while tubbo eventually decided to trust fit anyway, to this day, tubbo must be aware that he still hasn’t earned fit's full trust. and that fit, for all he knows tubbo’s problems, hasn’t shared many in return. the only exceptions to this that I can think of are 1) fit’s feelings for pac, which tubbo is privy to and while he teases fit, he is supportive of (which tubbo lost access to—at least in his head—when fitpac started dating, hence the acting out) and 2) fit coming to tubbo about the cats (which tubbo does NOT recognise as a moment of intimacy, that baffoon just laughs it off). i’m not blaming fit for this, as much as he loves tubbo, tubbo is an emotionally unstable teenager (turned young adult) whose bad at both secret-keeping and tact (and fit holds some very sensitive very dangerous secrets), but it definitely creates a lopsidedness in their friendship.
especially because tubbo DOES respect this boundary of fit’s. while sometimes he pesters him for access to the office or insider info, he doesn’t seek fit’s personal business out behind his back really. meanwhile, the few times that tubbo has tried to keep something from them (kinda attempting to mirror fit’s own walls imo), fit and pac have gone behind his back to find out what it is. for example, them going to quackity’s house to investigate fred’s kidnapping without telling him, or them going and reading tubbo’s investigation room about the fed worker killings. now, i get why pac and fit—nosy and concerned as they are—do this, but it’s not great communication and it’s not a great show of trust.
all of this results in fit having a LOT of insight and access into tubbo’s life and insecurities and tubbo having comparatively little in return. and fit deciding how and when he interacts with tubbo and tubbo relying on fit to engage (lest he interrupt something secretive). they have all this restrictions and intricacies for how they interact and both of them have fed into this dynamic—it’s familiar and easy for both of them (fit isn't risking his secrets by trusting tubbo more, tubbo isn't risking rejection by asking for more)—even though their friendship has progressed and needs more balance. it worked ok for them for awhile bc they do both care for each other a lot, but it was NEVER going to be sustainable. any shift in dynamic that lengthened the distance between them would have unsteadied it.
but while tubbo is acutely aware of this tension and sensitive to it changing (and lashing out in response), fit has never really had to think about it. given the way they’ve interacted, fit’s own feelings have always been a bit separate from their friendship. it’s only now that tubbo's emotions/actions have hurt fit that fit wants his feelings acknowledged. he wants a more even dynamic, but he doesn’t realize that their friendship doesn’t feel like a “two-way street” because it never has been, almost by design.
i don’t think tubbo has the experience or insight into fit’s emotions to realize what fit needs organically. i don't think fit can understand how his relationship with pac isolated tubbo even if he wants it to stay the same. i don’t think fit recognises the ways tubbo continues to show his trust in fit (like still inviting fit to follow him on the fred date or not investigating his secrets). i don't think tubbo understands why fit is upset with him (just that he is) or confidence to ask.
i don’t think either of them are going to properly explain their concerns to each other, if they have the words to properly explain it. all of this makes me think we’re only in for more fit & tubbo miscommunication in the coming weeks, but i DO think we still have hope. because these fools do love each other and pac (who I didn’t talk about much at all) & ramon & sunny (tho she’s also hurting) aren’t just gonna stand idly by while they continue to hurt each other.

It has come to my attention that some are not aware of the double bat teen titans elseworlds run. [Post Here] made by @saturnsickle
So I'm here to explain a bit to everyone.
When was the series?
From September 1st 2001 to March 1st 2005, an elseworlds Teen Titans run started.
The series was 43 issues plus a 2004 annual.
Line-Up
Yara Flor (Wondergirl)
Jackson Hyde (Aqualad)
Cassandra Cain (Batgirl)
Jason Todd (Robin)
Roy Harper (Arsenal)
It was a bit out of nowhere, seeing as the lineup featured two brand new characters, a newly established character, a then considered dead character, and a former teen titan turned titan.
Retrospect
In retrospect, this series can be seen as a world building series as well as a device to introduce more heroes within a similar age group and adding more younger heroes into the mix, bridging the gap between the titans of Dick Grayson and Donna Troy and the younger generation of young justice soon teen titans Tim Drake and Cassie Sandsmark.
This series also reintroduced Jason Todd to a reader base that had known him as dead at this point. Adding new characterization that would be later used in the Batman: Hush storyline and lead into the Batman: Under the Red Hood series.
Interestingly, we see that this series of Teen Titans ended the same month that Red Hood's identity was revealed to Batman in Batman #683.
That is no coincidence. Fans have long since known that the series ended when Jason Todd was introduced back into the main line story.
However, while well planned, this left the elseworld's Teen Titans run to end abruptly and feel incomplete in some places.
Features
Some features of this series were a phenomenal number one cover that would later inspire the cover art for World's Finest: Teen Titans #1, an interesting dynamic between Batgirl and Robin that wouldn't show in mainline stories until New 52, and Roy in another mentorship role that we had been starting to see become more prominent at the time.
The introductory arc in the story (issues 1 through 4), where we were introduced to the characters in their separate contexts and got to see them come together in a way that explained how they got to that point, instead of just showing us them together as a team. It was also interesting to see Joker used as an introductory villain instead of someone else. It really set up the idea of a larger world outside of Joker and the scale of threats that would continue to increase throughout the series.
One of my favorite subplot that continued throughout the series was the character and moral conflict between the two bat characters (Cass and Jason) and their views on Justice, superheroing, and the right way to go about it. Although Jason's characterization is not exactly the same as his pre-death in the family personality, it provided a good sense of transition that got us from PreDitF to the UtRH personality. Cass and Jason often found themselves at odds with each other throughout the series. Cass, who believed in redemption and was stark and steady in her belief that no one should die, contrasted Jason's harsher view on crime and how to handle it.
It was also nice to see Cass on a team of people similar to her age. Although we got to see her work on the Justice League: Elite team, the elseworld's teen titans run got to show her in a more light-hearted run where she got to learn to be herself. Mirroring her then running solo series, we got to see Cass start to form a life and connections outside of the suit, and meet people who tested her belief in the symbol, this time with her peers.
Her growing friendship with Yara was really fun to read even at its worst writing. I especially enjoyed issue 25 and 26, where the two of them teamed up with the elseworld's version of Starfire and Donna Troy in a timeless issue of powerful female heroes.
Some of the negative from the run was the forced upon romantic subplot from 27 to 36, where it took up too much space on the panels and caused unnecessary character drama in a style that hadn't been seen in the run up to that point.
By the time of issue 40, there were three issues to wrap up the plot of the story before the run would come to a close. The story structure was there, but it was rushed and needed a couple more issues to really dive into the plot. The team disbands after Jason Todd/Robin murders one of the lesser villians they were fighting and caused the team to split ways to deal with the events of the arc. It culottes perfectly into the reveal later that month in the main books.
There was a top heavy focus on the two bat characters, which left less room for the other's. That didn't mean that the others didn't have central arcs throughout the run. It is just meant by the proxy of having two bat characters. Their drama was brought up the most.
Arcs
Issues 1 through 4 Jason focused introductory
Issues 5 through 8 was a Yara focused arc
9 through 12 was a Roy centric arc
16 through 19 was a Cass centric arc
20 through 22 was a Jason centric arc
23 and 24 was a Jackson centric arc
25 and 26 was Cass and Yara
30 through 34 was another Roy centric arc
The annual plus 36 was a Jackson arc
37 and 38 was another Yara centric arc
40 through 43 was extremely focused in Jason with Cass as a close second.
Conclusions
It was a really interesting story to read, and it was fun to see what having Batgirl on a team does to the dynamics of a normally Robin only sort of line-uo. It's interesting that Jackson was the first of the two original characters to make the jump to mainline comics (2010) and Yara was later in 2021, having been the last of the team brought into the main timeline. It would be nice to see them come back together for a special crossover again, fill the niche group of fans that follow the limited fan material on this series.

You did good work today. I've been told that it's important for a supervisor to give praise. Oh. Well, thank you. What else do you appreciate about me? That you know when not to push your luck.
| ANATOMY OF A SCENE - CHENFORD EDITION 4.02 - Five Minutes
These two and their pranks… This is something that started as a way for Lucy to get back at Tim for his tests, and has now blossomed into a love language between them… Into a little tradition of theirs : baby powder to celebrate her graduation to P2, booties to celebrate his promotion to Sergeant… At least, it's less messy this time!
The fact that only Lucy's mischievous smirk gives us a hint that something is afoot when Nolan brings out that Tim is now technically a rookie Sergeant is excellent. It makes the final reveal that much sweeter. Tim is looking so proud in the locker room, holding his new uniform, happy to be moving on with his career, even smiling… until he unlocks the door. The way his face falls once he sees all the baby boots and the sign… He looks already so done and annoyed. The only thing missing in this is Lucy witnessing his reaction… So having a follow-up at the end of the episode is perfect.
And that second scene just enhances the whole prank. It's full of flirting / bickering. Starting with Lucy tiptoeing her way back to his locker with more booties, before being busted… Or Tim trying his hardest to look stern despite the glimpse of a smile peeking through and giving him away… His dorky thumbs up, his discomfort at giving her a compliment and Lucy's face of disbelief, as if she's two seconds away from asking him if he's feeling alright… Tim admitting he was forced by Grey to 'give praise' more often, as if he's personally offended by the suggestion… Or Lucy immediately taking advantage of this and asking for more… This is them. Simple as that. She's being playful while he's pretending to be grumpy. The whole exchange comes off as completely good-natured, especially since he complimented her recently, when he was comparing Barnes to her or after her undercover op. And the second she is out of his sight, he can't help but smile and laugh… His little head shake at the end has such a 'she's driving me crazy but I love her' vibe. And her prank was flawless : it was a good way to get back at him for all the times he called her 'boots' and to celebrate his promotion in a fun manner that she knew would both irk and amuse him. She really took the time and made the effort to do this for him (not to mention the amount of money she must have spent). It also concluded beautifully this arc : Tim started his journey to become a sergeant with her. After the audiobooks, the turned-down promotion, they can now add the booties.
But this serves another purpose as well : with all the changes that went through since they stopped riding together, their dynamic needed to be reestablished. They barely interacted after her last day as a rookie, both being busy with their own lives… And then, there were those sizzling moments at Angela's ill-fated wedding and at Tim's place… Jackson's death… A three-month time-jump. A lot of things had changed so we needed to see where they were standing after all of this. They may not be there yet, still not completely fully aware of the implications of what may have happened or denying it… But their relationship is as strong as ever and they both are ready to fully embrace their friendship without the constraints of their former mentorship.

what i wouldn’t give for people to care about barbara and jason friendship/mentorship/mutual cope even like 1/16th as much as they care about him and dick because there are so many ways to take it
I love Jason and Barbara! And I agree, it is under-appreciated in the fandom for how much potential their relationship has. Babs is one of the few bats who knew Jay before he died. They have a history of trauma with central overlap. They are both outsiders from the family, albeit in different ways. Neither of them are afraid to tell Bruce to shove it up his ass.
Barbara is so pragmatic, and she’s used to working with a range of vigilantes, heroes, and anti-heroes. She also has enough moral flexibility to see beyond the black and white.
I have no idea why their relationship doesn’t get more love. But just for you, anon (since I so appreciate your lovely ask), I’ll spill the beans that I do have a story planned for Asymmetrical Warfare that focuses on Jay and Babs. It’s pretty far back in the pipeline, but I’ve been excited about it for a while now. No working title yet, but I call it ‘the Babs cycle’ in my head when I think about it.
Oh, also, have you read Buy One Get One Free by Here_we_go @chekovssomethingorother? It has a great Babs and Jay dynamic.
Thanks so much for the ask, anon! 💙

do you have any found family fanfic recommendations?:
I am also a fan of found family so many of my fic recs will already have that included, so I'd definitely recommend checking out my other rec lists if you haven't already. If you have, I hope you can find something to read from this list!
Souls on the Shore by lovelyleias - This is a nice one featuring Annie and Johanna. It's post-Mockingjay so it's inherently a little sad, but hopeful too. It really highlights the bond between Annie and Johanna and how their shared experiences tie them together.
Josie by Shaylinne - This one is such a cool look at Johanna's life and especially her relationships with the other victors. It definitely leans into the found family theme (especially in the post-war setting, although Finnick lives) which makes it a really enjoyable read.
Right Till the End by deathmallow - This one focuses on Finnick and Johanna's friendship pre-canon and also incorporates some of the other victors. The victors camaraderie really shines through here, which I love.
Still 22 days left till the end of the world by kawuli - This is a great Finnick and Johanna found family one, and everything in this series has a lot of connection between Johanna and the other victors (mainly Finnick). It's dark but a great read, especially if you're interested in the victors in the Capitol pre-canon.
Mentorship by thankyoufinnick - This is a long and in-depth one about the relationship between Mags and Finnick. I love it and the found family is really strong here.
Wherever There Is You by BeesKnees - This one takes place while Annie is in the Capitol. It shows how she uses her relationships with the people she loves to keep her going. It's so beautifully done and I would definitely recommend it.
We Must Be Killers: Tales From District 2 by lorata - I don't usually venture far beyond Odesta fics but lately I have been devouring this series. It may not be exactly what you're looking for but I highly suggest giving it a try. The dynamics and relationships in this are incredible, not to mention the amazing District 2 worldbuilding.
That's about all I have for right now. As always, feel free to reblog with your own recommendations or self-promo!

Thank you so much for emphasizing the importance of the platonic friendship between the Marauders! I have always been torn about Wolfstar because while they do make sense in a way and unlike some other ships *cough* Jegulus* there actually have been hints about them in canon. But since we know that in the 1st wizarding war Sirius and Remus were mistrusting each other, I feel like the only way they could have happened was during Hogwarts times and then had a bad break up in 7th year. But somehow I could never imagine how that could have happened without the deep, beautiful platonic relationship that defined the Marauders suffering from it. There would have been so much drama and Pete and James would have constantly been caught in the middle. Same with Jegulus. Dating a best friends sibling is always problematic, but since Sirius and Reg had such a difficult relationship already, James dating his actual brother would have ruined this found brotherhood between James and Sirius
I'm gonna try to not write an essay response to this (lol). On top of being the number one fan of platonic Marauders friendship, I really struggle to see Sirius in a relationship. I could actually get on board with post-POA Wolfstar, but the school years are hard for me because of all we see during the war.
First off, I think the relationships you grow up around have an immense impact on you as a person. So I think Sirius would not see marriage as a union of love, but one of duty, a requirement to continue the bloodline and all of the "power" that came with that. Ignoring that he'd probably reject that notion while he was rejecting everything about his birth family's lifestyle, I just don't see him having interest in it. I think partly because it was presented to him as transactional ("You will marry a girl of worthy blood status and sire an heir"), but also because we see a restless energy in Sirius and marriage would be just another thing to tie him down when he sought freedom. This is a dude who'd rather have lived in a cave eating rats than return to his childhood home even years later. He charmed a motorbike to fly. He wanted to be free to be himself, not who he was born and raised to be.
Obviously this is painting with a broad brushstroke. After all, Sirius could absolutely date without marriage as the endgame but I just don't see him simping or fawning over another person, whether that be Remus or anyone else (I think back to SWM where the girl was eying him and he couldn't give two shits about it. He was looking for James!). I consider Sirius to be aromantic or just outright uninterested in making a romantic connection. Boy really needed some counseling and healthy mentorship in his life, and while I do think he saw that with the Potter family dynamic (familial and romantic), I'm not sure at 16 that would have been enough to ready him to be anyone's partner.
Anyway. Give me all of the platonic ride-or-die Prongsfoot. The boys who'd go to the ends of the earth and back for each other. If you read my works I'm sure this comes as no surprise. And just to add: I do see how people find it compelling to work through the drama of a Wolfstar breakup or the dating best friend's brother dynamic in J*gulus, but I'm generally not sold on it and not particularly interested in it for these characters.

what are your favorite relationships in BB? doesn’t have to be romantic, could be friends, family, mentor-apprentice, etc.
I have a big soft spot for the mentorships. They're so neglected in canon that I really get to decide whatever I want it to be, and when I shuffle apprentices I'm always trying to do matchups that are particularly interesting.
But there's also romantic and familial bonds that do it for me. Scattershot;
Honeysnake and Briarlight They've grown on me super quickly. Honeyfern's Honor Title for surviving the adder bite, the drama she gets in when her sister starts dating her ex, becoming the mentor of the kitten she saved, their final interaction before the Great Battle. I think it's a powerful thing.
Brokenstar and Runningnose sir this is my emotional support evil ambiguously gay couple. "Soooo Brokenstar what's your situation with Runningnose?" "planning the demise of windclan" "yes but are you an item" "perhaps, long ago, but now i have come to learn i am a force of great revenge" "do you kiss" "i bite"
Fallenleaf and Cinderheart Something about Cinderheart trying to have a life without her, and finding the color drained from it. Fallenleaf spending another lifetime enacting horrible tyranny, but unable to communicate the horror of her reign. Someone who is loyal and devoted to you, when you feel like you don't deserve it. A fresh god and her first priestess.
HareHeatherBreeze Ex-villain going through a housewife arc and his ambitious husband and wife
Pinestar and Speckletail, Mudfur and Leopardstar, Tallstar and Flytail, Cloudtail/Ferncloud and Ashfur This dynamic is cool ranch doritoes to me, I can't stop. "Little person I was trusted with raising, kitten I loved, where have you gone? How could I have helped you? I did my best and it was still the wrong thing!" It's versatile, too. Pine perfectly mentored Speckle, but his mind is changing on that being a good thing. Mudfur realizes he should have left Leopard and Carp with their mother in that kittypet home. Tallstar created his greatest rival for deputyship. Cloud and Fern wonder if there was a sign they ignored. Love it love it love it
Dustpelt and his kids Dad who makes you hold the flashlight as he looks under the car energy.
Hawkfrost and Ivypool "I was recruited by a demon who was meant to be my mentor, but slowly I'm realizing that I'm growing older and he looks younger and younger. He's practically a child and he's being used by his father just as much as me by mine. Oh god, we're fools being lead around by fools"
Frostfur and Everyone Be it her and her mentor Bluestar, or how she can connect with Dustpelt when he makes mistakes, or how she comforts her daughter when she's attacked by dogs, I just really appreciate her.
Cinderpelt and Littlecloud BESTIES in two different Clans, their friendship is just so much fun. "Why is Littlecloud here" "He's checking my leech setup" "Why is Cinderpelt here" "She's checking my leech setup :)"
Swansong and Mistystar They didn't take all of her siblings from her, because they refused to acknowledge he's her brother. That was a mistake; she's got the most loyal sibling a person could ever ask for, he'll fight and die by her side if she gives the word. A good brother helps you hide the body <3

As for me, it was around Hollow Mind release that I started to ship them. I love their sense of chemistry, trust, and care for each other. I wish people were open to this ship across the fandom. Unfortunately, people are dismissive toward this ship by one recurring headcanon statement popular among all fandoms. Which is "they have a sibling dynamic." Know that if someone perceives a relationship dynamic as platonic, it doesn't automatically mean they're siblings.
It's just a headcanon of how they perceive their relationship. Also, if anyone sees a relationship dynamic as siblings, it doesn't mean it's incest. The definition of incest is a relationship between siblings having a romantic or intercourse with blood relations. Yes, actual blood relations, not perceived thoughts by a fandom. Although step-siblings do exist, they require proper legal methods like approved documentation or both step-parents' marriage to qualify.
Also, No. Luz calling Hunter family doesn't mean she sees him as an actual family member. Calling a non-relative person family means you are closely connected and care about them.
(Sidenote: Why does every platonic relationship have to be siblings? People do know there are other types of relationship dynamics besides siblings. Like, for example, friendships, work partners, rivalry, acquaintances, and mentorship.)
By the way, I'm not saying you can't perceive any platonic relationship as a sibling dynamic you can. However, please note that others can disagree, which is okay because people are allowed to have their opinions. However, what is not okay is being dismissive of a relationship dynamic, whether platonic or romantic, because of a false statement and treating it as canon.

Blitzø as a character makes me so sick because he believes he’s doomed to never be loved and ruin everyone’s lives, and then acts accordingly in a toxic self-fulfilling prophecy. Literally everyone knows this it’s so obvious. Yet despite all of that the show is telling us he is actually ACTIVELY MAKING PEOPLE’S LIVES BETTER!!!! His re-kindled friendship with Fizz, his affirmed relationship with Loona, his mentorship and protectiveness of Moxxie when they meet his father(sorry not a lot of Bltz and Millie moments), his attempts to reconnect  with his sister, and even the pity-fuck-turned-it’s-complicated with Stolas. CLEARLY season 2 is trying to tell us something about the love and care Blitzø has for the people in his life. Stolas coming clean about his feelings and giving him the Asmodeus crystal is going to be a major turning point not just for their relationship, but for ALL of Bltiz’s relationships, because whether or not he can move forward with Stolas reflects whether or not he’s ready to let go of the preconceived notions of himself I mentioned either. Whether or not he knows he can and already does make a positive difference in people’s lives. My biggest questions for “The Full Moon” episode:
1. Can Blitzø accept that someone would love him as an equal, or will he regress into a Verosika repeat? (Remember—Blitzø was hired to be Verosika’s bodyguard, who was a break out star. So it was never a 100% equal playing field. His betrayal was a twisted way to feel like he had power. Probably similar insecurities led to why he wouldn’t try to help her get off in bed. Idk that whole relationship sounds like a mess but we know the main issues came from Blitz. He needs to get over this hump to move forward, especially when Stolas is clearly doing the work to be more sensitive to their power imbalance)
2. Can Blitzø accept that he WANTS someone to love him as an equal, and this isn’t a sign of weakness? He is able to openly ask Loona for affection but this is only because of the established father/daughter dynamic that HE initiating by adopting her. Admitting that he wants Stolas as a romantic partner requires a different kind of vulnerability. Loona will always be a daughter to him, Barbie will always be his sister, Fizz basically grew up with him, but people can come and go from romance. It takes a lot of trust to make a partner your family. Can Blitzø take the first step to show Stolas that trust?
3. Can he accept that he is capable of loving someone romantically? Because truly no one hates Blitzø more than Blitzø. Even if he makes it through the other two hurdles, if his self doubt is strong enough, nothing will be resolved. This is my greatest fear, that because he’s afraid that HES not good enough, he acts out in anger and pushes Stolas even further away.
We haven’t really seen Blitz directly process his feelings about Stolas this season besides adamant denial, so honestly idk how TF the next ep is supposed to go. Literally anything could happen all I know is someone is going to cry. I don’t think Blitz will completely blow up on Stolas, but guys….don’t be shocked if he blows up, okay? I’m really 50/50 on this. I think it’s more likely we get some kind of secret third thing, where maybe Bltiz doesn’t completely reject nor accept Stolas. Maybe they try to be friends? Man idk I already said anything could happen

Got Each Other's Back
Tumblr media
In the gritty streets of Chicago, the lives of the officers of the 21st District Police Department were often entwined with a complex web of relationships. Among them were siblings Adam and YN Ruzek, both committed to the same cause but navigating their own challenges.
One evening, as the city's lights painted the pavement in a mosaic of colors, Adam found himself in a quiet corner of the bustling police station, his thoughts heavy with a recent conversation. YN, his sister, had always been his confidante, a pillar of strength in the face of adversity. But lately, a lingering unease had settled between them, casting a shadow on their bond.
Leaning against a desk, Adam's gaze fixated on nothing in particular, lost in his own contemplations. YN entered the room, her footsteps echoing softly. She looked at Adam, concern etched across her features.
"Adam," she said gently, breaking the silence that hung between them.
He turned his head to meet her gaze, his blue eyes clouded with unspoken emotions. "YNN," he began, his voice tinged with a mix of frustration and vulnerability, "I just... I don't understand. Am I not good enough for you?"
YN's brows furrowed, her heart aching at the pain evident in her brother's words. She stepped closer, her expression softening. "Adam, that's not it at all. You know I'm proud of you, of the officer you've become."
Jay Halstead and Erin Lindsay, two of their closest friends on the force, observed the scene from a distance. They exchanged knowing glances, understanding the complexities that often came with family dynamics. Jay's hand found its way to Erin's, a subtle reassurance passing between them.
YN continued, her voice unwavering as she met her brother's gaze. "You're more than good enough, Adam. It's just... things have been tough lately. We're both under immense pressure, and sometimes that stress gets the best of us."
Adam sighed, his shoulders slumping as he absorbed her words. "I don't want us to drift apart, YNN. You mean the world to me."
Touched by his sincerity, YN closed the remaining distance between them and embraced him tightly. "We won't drift apart, Adam. We're family, and that means we'll weather these storms together."
As the siblings held onto each other, Jay and Lindsay shared a brief smile, reminded of their own journey through challenges both personal and professional. In the heart of Chicago, amidst the chaos and camaraderie, these intertwined lives forged bonds that could withstand even the harshest tests.
The city's pulse continued outside, but within the precinct's walls, the heartbeat of friendship and family remained resolute, ready to face whatever lay ahead.
The door to the precinct swung open, and Hank Voight, the grizzled and experienced sergeant of the Intelligence Unit, walked in. His presence commanded attention, a mix of authority and understanding that seemed to seep into the room.
Voight's eyes fell upon the scene before him – Adam and YN, locked in a heartfelt embrace. He paused for a moment, his stern demeanor softening imperceptibly. He had seen his fair share of family dynamics over the years, and he knew the importance of these connections in a world that often seemed devoid of constants.
Approaching the duo, Voight's gravelly voice broke through the silence. "Everything alright here?"
Adam and YN pulled away from each other, their expressions reflecting a mix of emotions – relief, vulnerability, and a hint of embarrassment.
"We're okay, Sergeant," YN replied, her voice steady. "Just working through some things."
Voight nodded, his gaze shifting between them. "Good. Remember, whatever's going on out there," he gestured vaguely to the bustling city beyond the windows, "you've got each other's backs in here."
Adam nodded in agreement, a newfound determination gleaming in his eyes. "Thanks, Sergeant."
Voight clapped a hand on Adam's shoulder, the gesture a blend of encouragement and mentorship. "And don't forget, Halstead and Lindsay here, they've weathered their fair share of storms too. Lean on your colleagues – that's what makes a unit strong."
Jay and Lindsay shared a knowing smile, their presence a testament to the bonds that had been forged through trials and triumphs. Voight's words hung in the air, a reminder that they were part of something greater, a team that extended beyond the confines of professional duties.
As the precinct continued its relentless rhythm, the interplay of relationships and camaraderie persisted, carving deeper into the souls of those who walked its halls. In the heart of Chicago, where shadows danced along the edges of the cityscape, the officers of the 21st District Police Department navigated the complexities of life, bound by the unbreakable ties of family, friendship, and a shared commitment to justice.

Jack Howl’s Mentorship/Friendship with Riddle Rosehearts
Ummm why is no one talking about the Jack and Riddle mentorship/friendship we see hinted at in Jack’s ceremonial robe vignette????? That shit is ADORABLE and is honestly so pure and makes so much sense too????
I honestly hated Jack’s dorm uniform vignette because of how out of character it seemed for Jack to basically obsess over Ruggie. Like, I understand they were going for a “pack dynamic” thing, but they went about it in all the wrong ways and they did it so intensely and so suddenly that it just made Jack seem like a completely different character. I was a bit uncomfortable with it to be honest.
But Jack looking up to Riddle? Because he has seen Riddle work hard, stay on the straight and narrow, get amazing grades, and use incredibly powerful and difficult magic? Jack looking up to Riddle because he respects him, not just because of his power but because of his intelligence and integrity? Getting excited to learn under Riddle’s tutelage, even if, maybe even because of, the fact that Riddle won’t go easy on him?
Yeah, that sounds exactly like the Jack Howl I know and love.
I need more pure Jack & Riddle mentorship content. These two would have a great friendship.
🐺🌹
