It's such a funny but interesting moment, how Ford just isn't good with wording and accidentally upset Mabel when she asked about an owl possibly being present in it. I especially like it because I feel like this moment and line specifically is one of many hints that Ford is neurodivergent, specifically autistic, with how literally he took Mabel's ridiculous statement. I am autistic, so it's nice to be able to see a character I love with similar traits to me! So yeah, I like this line. :3

and happy, who was right next to tony, kept leaning over and shaking his head or nodding.

anyways once you got done with dinner you went to put the dishes in the dishwasher robot
idk why i said it like that but it’s basically this cool thing where you put the dishes in the sink and this robot will wash them & put them away
very nice bc doing the dishwasher is so much work sometimes.
but then wanda, nat and carol came in
and you KNEW they were gonna try to get you to talk
“i’ll tell you guys later.” you spoke, trying to end the embarrassment.
“come on y/n! we want to see him at least.” carol said, tilting her head and raising a brow.
“ok fine.” you said, and pulled up a picture of jack. you showed it to them for like one second and then put your phone back in your pocket.
“hey wait! no fair! i wanna see! yeah.” came the voices of sam, clint, scott, and bucky as they tried to fight their way into the kitchen.
“that’s a hard no. maybe i’ll bring him here after the dance. harley peter miles and i were already going to stay over. then he could walk by you guys for TWO SECONDS and then do something with me.”
“alright.” said sam, crossing his arms and nodding.
“seems fair!” said bruce.
“perfect.” you replied, leaving the room to leave them all to inevitably gossip.
SKIP AHEAD
ok so it’s winter formal
and you strategically told jack to meet you there so that the avengers couldn’t bombard him during picture taking time.
so y’all had a super fun time
& u slow danced with each other 🤭🤭
it was super fun
but you were kind of dreading going back to the tower
you had told jack about being an avenger a few weeks ago
and he was super excited to meet them all
jack is like super sweet & really awesome
so it put you at ease a little bit.
so you went back to the tower with him
peter harley and miles had gone to get ice cream and were coming back later
so you did the retinal and fingerprint scan that would let you into the elevator
and you went up to the main floor (so you could get to your room)
but ofc they were all there
and so you took jack’s hand and brought him over to where they all were
he was lowkey freaking out
and bro
bucky and sam and clint and scott looked so unamused
tony and happy too
SO YOU JUST TRIED TO KEEP IT CIVIL
but they all were acting so clipped and like not charismatic
idk
but wanda, steve and bruce were rly nice so that put jack at ease a little bit
anyways so then you took jack to your room
you guys had been planning to watch a movie together
he was kind of nervous because he didn’t think the avengers liked him
but you assured him they did

anyways you turned on the movie & watched it
and it was soo funny so y’all were laughing a lot
BUT THEN THE DOOR SUDDENLY OPENED
and it was so loud you got freaked out fr
but then you saw it was tony, bucky, sam and steve.
“y/n. could you go out in the hall for a minute.” steve said.
“this is my room!!” you tried, but tony just pointed out to the hall.
“i’m sorry jack.” you said to your boyfriend
jack was literally about to cry omg
poor thing
“don’t be mean.” you said as you left, taking extra care to give them all a withering stare
natasha and bucky had taught you that skill well bc you saw sam shiver HAHA
so you went to the hall and clint, scott, and natasha were standing there.
“what are they DOING??” you hissed at them.
“they’re just worried for you y/n. they wanted to talk to the kid.” natasha assured you, patting your shoulder.
“yeah, nothin’ to worry about!!” scott added, a big grin on his face
“well i really don’t trust that coming from you.” you replied
“well tony thought you guys were kissing in there!” clint laughed.
although it turned into an “ow” when natasha elbowed him
“he WHAT?!” you replied
“yeah, that’s why he came up here. he said he wanted the most intimidating ones to go make that kid afraid or something.” scott added. “not sure why he didn’t ask me…”
you gave scott a nod but then made your way back into your room, crossing your arms and raising a brow as tony, bucky, sam and steve turned towards you.
“hey y/n.” sam said, raising a hand to wave.
“are you guys done now? i’d like to finish the movie.” you said, trying to be stern.
“i think we are. right jack?” steve said, standing up and gesturing towards your boyfriend.
“yes sir! i mean steve. i mean mr. rogers?” he said, clearly scared out of his mind.
“yeah yeah. alright. get out please!!” you said, guiding them out of your room.
bucky was the last to leave, but despite you pushing him, he turned back to face your boyfriend.
“hey, you. hurt them in any way and i’ll find you.” he said, accompanied by his signature deathstare.
then he gave a little salute to you.
“night kid. don’t stay up too late.”
and then he was gone.
“did he really mean that??” jack said, eyes wide.
“yeah, he did.” you said, sitting beside him and holding his hand. “isn’t that sweet?”

You’re very right, he would be the perfect boyfriend for that!
I’ll just start by saying that Arthur is a very low-energy person (at least around his S/O.) He would never push his partner to do anything high effort, and he doesn’t mind doing the household chores. He’s been living on his own for centuries, so him needing your help with anything is a rare occurrence already.
But he’d never brush off your sickness. No matter how tired or stressed he is, he makes sure you’re alright first. For a while during war times, he would work as a nurse. So he knows what people look like when they’re suffering. He can tell… you’re one of those people.
(And because of that knowledge, you can totally trust him to deal with your meds for you. Plus any minor injuries? He’s on it.)
You’ll basically never have to tell him when something is wrong. The longer you’re together, the more in tune he is with your health. He’ll notice when your breaths become harder, when your steps become slower, and when you struggle to speak through the pain. And when that happens, he’s immediately yanking you out of that situation.
When you’re in public, he usually brings a few things to help. Whether that be an inhaler, pain meds, just water, whatever. He’ll always make time to be with you while you recover. Plus, he’s very good at coming up with excuses for leaving situations. Sometimes too good. Has he been using those on you? (He hasn’t. Don’t worry.)
And on days that you’re completely knocked out by your illness, he’s completely content to just sit in bed next to you. It’s quite nice, actually. He’ll bring you food whenever you need it which, the quality is questionable, but it’s better than nothing. Which is probably what you would’ve ended up eating if it weren’t for him. And if you ask, he’ll read you some of the book that he was occupied with all day. And with that accent? If your breath wasn’t already taken away by your sickness, that would’ve done it instead.
Did I mention he is very much willing to wield his authority to get doctors to take you seriously? Because pretty quickly he’s gonna demand to join you in some appointments just to tell those doctors off for trying to minimise your pain. You think it’s too risky to prescribe something that’s perfectly safe? Sure, only if you want some thousand-year-old twink getting your entire business shut down, under orders directly from the crown!
No matter what need, no matter how much your health deteriorates, Arthur is going to be by your side supporting you through all of it. You’re not the first sick lover he’s had, you know? It doesn’t affect his view of you in the slightest. You’ll never be a burden or an annoyance to him. He loves you just as much as he would any “typically healthy” partner.

umm so first there are many variations of rosekiller, more than any other ship imo so im just gonna talk about mine??? my rosekiller are like complete opposites but then you look closer and they're still complete opposites but in the other direction like.....they're what the other thinks they are. as in evan thinks he's not like barty but he's more like barty than barty is and barty thinks he's not evan but he's more evan than evan is. they're obsessed with each other. like unhealthily so. its a sickness, almost. they keep it under wraps, but there's this pull between them, a string of energy that connects them with the blaze of a thousand suns. its electrical, leaves them feeling insane rolling around in bed unable to sleep. imma put a keep reading cause this shit got long
barty is an intellectual. he's an alcoholic. he LOVES poppers (the drug lol), keeps a Rush labeled bottle with him at all times, sniffs it whenever, wherever. like he'll be sitting in the subway and just bring it up to his nose. he likes sweet things. eats sour keys like there's no tomorrow. he's really into music like its his whole personality. everything he wears and does is consciously curated even if to other people he looks like a dirtbag. he makes people think he sleeps around but really its just a carefully constructed image so he can be left alone to be a rotting decrepit being. god complex but is unaware of it. he thinks he's soooo sexy but its a coping mechanism for the inescapable self-hatred he feels for himself. he's flirty but kinda awkward with it like its almost forced because he thinks of everything he wants to say before saying it so he never comes off as uncool or bothered. he doesn't really exist to himself. when he looks in the mirror for too long, he dissociates. he doesn't think of his body as a body its just a vessel he can shove things into and see what happens. he's a science experiment to himself, which is why when he meets evan he becomes irrevocably hooked, cause finally someone else sees him as that too!!!! yay!!!!
speaking of evan. my evan is tricky cause im still getting to know him. i know he has a giant fish tank with only one beta fish in it. he gives it the best life. he sees people in colors, he hates impurities, dirt, dust, anything like that. he doesnt like the texture of dirty (except barty hheeehhoooo). he keeps handcream on him at all times and various medicinal packets like aspirin, cough drops, acetaminophen tablets, etc. he's always got an earphone in, for sure. listens to gay shit like depeche mode and pet shop boys with a deadpan expression. his eyes are often expressionless but he feels everything so much it makes him gag. sensitive to the bone. can read anyones energy within two seconds. he's very decisive. like he'll look at someone for five seconds and be like yeah ok i like you. loves nobody but his sister and his fish. evan is also bent on domination. he likes to control situations and he's not afraid of doing so. not in any manipulative way no he'll just be like "you're gonna do this and this will be the result."

-Claude lives in an a duplex with noisy af and annoying neighbors. like. they blast music ONLY at night when Claude is trying to sleep and brings ppl over and bc the walls are so thin he can hear literally everything. and by everything i mean he can hear them chewing, talking on the phone, seggsy time, and DEFINITELY crying
- i feel like Claude also works at a café. Although he finds cafés particularly boring, he thinks its interesting how humans interact with each other, and why they choose to go to a coffee place rather than their own home to study, plus he likes coffee.
- UM Claude sometimes just hangs out in his house in his demon form. like huge ass fuckin spider just laying on the floor. a package delivery dude had to be bribed to not tell anyone and then shooed him away
-Sometimes Claude just walks around at a park to get a breath of fresh air. Almost immediately leaves because he heard a baby crying.

Although he's shy about it, Aran actually comes to you when he doesn't understand a homework question. You're super smart and he knows you won't make him feel bad about not knowing.
And it makes you feel happy to know he trusts you, so you help him as best as you can. It's a little secret of yours that the other members don't know about.
It especially lights your day up when he gets a good grade and whispers a silent "thank you" to you in class.
In return, will help you with anything you ask for. No questions asked.
And now, last but not least, sunshine Akagi!! I think he's a total Hinata Shoyo, so he might annoy you a bit at first because of his bright personality.
But deep down inside, you love how easily he gets people to smile and slowly find yourself warming up to him.
And Akagi is really determined to get you to smile (at least once a day) so he cracks the corniest jokes or makes puns.

CHEERING YOU UP— whenever you feel quieter than usual, or a bit more sarcastic, the boys immediately know something is wrong and rush over to make you feel okay. Literally, it's almost like they've abandoned practice. And eventhough you tell them to get back to it, they refuse to leave until you're feeling better. Suna usually gives you a hug and kisses your forehead, whilst Akagi cracks jokes. Then, (and eventhough you protest) Atsumu lists off all the things you should love about yourself, whilst Osamu buys you ice cream (food is, after all, the best cure for anything). Aran is literally ready to HUNT the person who affected your mood down, and kill them, whilst Kita is literally just holding him back and making sure things don't go overboard. Even if you aren't fully cheered up by then, you'd have laughed a whole lot and know how much they care for you, so honestly... how could you stay sad?
REACTING TO YOU TELLING THEM OFF— Suna is literally just meh about it. He can't take you seriously because he's a dork who thinks he's not included in the list of "idiots" (but no Suna, u mf, you ARE included -_-). Atsumu thinks it's hot 👀 (as I mentioned above), Akagi is genuinely upset/ready to sob and vows to do better. Kita is proud of you for telling them off before he could do it (Kita is not included in the "idiots". How could he? he's PERFECT 🖐️). Osamu and Aran have similar reactions, because they end up apologizing and try to change tactics and do better.
HOW THEY'D ACT WHEN YOU START DATING SUNA— (because this is honestly inevitable, wbk 😭❤️). Atsumu would be jealous. Petty and would call Suna "pretty boy" every chance he gets. Leave him, im sure he'll get over it 🥺🥺 Osamu is pretty jealous too, but he'll never show it and focuses instead on your happiness. Kita approves, and honestly thinks you're a good influence on Suna. Aran is protective of you, and would literally gun Suna down if he ever hurt you (but he won't. Suna loves you, he'd literally jump down a cliff before ever hurting you 😤🖐️) and Akagi is cheerful as before, but extra glad because you seem to smile a bit more often (and Akagi loves your smile).

a little closed off, you would have to make about 89% effort pursuing her
she generally believes that she doesn't have time to see someone because she's so busy
the type to really get into her work, so you dont hear from her for days, only getting updates from the twins and hank (basilio texts you "still alive" from time to time or some [stolen and blurry] pics of alexandra, while crispin sends you their location, you and hank just chat in the diabolical)
may be really stubborn at first, insisting that she simply just doesn't have time to even think about liking someone--some people have also expressed their interests in her but quickly gave up upon seeing how tenacious she can be
but lucky for her, you're just as stubborn
every time she goes on a spiel about how she cant give you what you want and need because of her work you would repeat the same old thing, "im not going anywhere. i only want and need you"
she has these walls that are just so keen on keeping you out, but the cracks are already appearing
it's definitely the simple things: when she came out of the balete tree, she sees you and hank first
hank tells her that you always came to the tree every day for the last five years, staying just after sundown
the first few months you had actually camped out there, wanting to be the first to see her come back
other times it's just your overall presence around the house, making sure everything is still well kept whenever she and the boys are away, making sure the fridge and pantry are stocked
whenever crispin sends you their location you would sometimes appear, bringing them some meals that you made or some streetfood you know they've been craving
the last pieces of her wall came down when she sees you asleep on the couch in her house, books sprawled all around you
you never tell her but you had been helping her and the boys research things for cases
and alexandra thought, "okay, this isn't so bad, right? like, im allowed to have this, right?"
(yes she most definitely is allowed)
she shyly returns the gesture, bringing you food whenever they come home, texting you "we have a case here" and "we'll be home soon, see you"
she slowly gets comfortable being vulnerable around you, and one night to your utter surprise she comes to you and asks you if you could hold her
you get into bed with her and just hold her there, hands massaging her scalp, running your hands through her hair
reassuring her that you won't ever go away
having lost her parents, she is so scared that her line of work would get to you, and so she swears to you right then and there, "I wont let anything happen to you" and "I cant lose you too"
makes you spar with her, learn how to defend yourself just to give her heart some peace of mind knowing you can hold your own
which, unless she is dead, will never happen because you would always be safe around her
becomes really carefree and cheerful when she's with you
the kambal drag you two for karaoke and she absolutely refuses to sing, pretending not to hear the boys beg her to sing as she drinks her alcohol
just sits there with one arm wrapped around you and may or may not have blushed when your drunk self rested against her body
still, she grips you tight and pulls you flush against her
Alexandra and hank make you breakfast the following day, she gave you your own plate with all the food and a glass of your favourite beverage before sitting down next to you
"you feel okay?" she asks, ruffling your hair
everyone teases you, but quiets down when they see her glare
doesn't kiss you in front of them, maybe when she's really tired or drunk
but she likes to hold your hand
always says "I love you" when you're in bed, before you go to sleep and when you wake up

The Brothers with an MC that gets anxiety from loud/abrupt noises:
Lucifer:
-He may not get anxiety from it, but Lucifer definitely prefers a quiet atmosphere/environment where he can focus on his work
-Which makes living with his brothers a living nightmare because they don’t have the capability to shut the fuck up
-That being said, he catches on rather quickly that you do not feel comfortable around loud noises in general
-There’s a limit to what he can do but every time you feel like you need a bit of peace and quiet, know that you are more than welcomed into his office at any time of the day. Even if he isn’t there
-He definitely prioritises your mental as well as your physical well being seeing as living with demons can have a massive effect on your sanity
-He’s not judgemental about it either because, while he doesn’t understand why loud noises may cause you to be so anxious, he understands that humans are built differently to demons
-Lucifer has no chill at times and will tell all of his brothers off every time they make a big scene, whether in public or private
-He can be a tad overprotective at times but he means really well, especially if he sees you’ve gotten oddly silent for the past few minutes or has caught wind of you fidgeting during dinner
-I don’t know how much I stressed so far about the observation skills this man has but I will keep doing, he can spot you flinching at loud noises from a mile away
Mammon:
-I believe that he can read people really well and can recognise when a person is feeling a certain way
-But he’s still a complete dumbass so he might still miss a few clues hidden in your mannerisms
-Like, he realises you’re uncomfortable but he doesn’t understand the degree of it or why it exists
-You’ll have to be blunt about it and tell him about your deal with loud noises because otherwise he will be stressing about it for weeks on end
-Dating him as a result of your anxiety over loud noises can prove to be...difficult
-He’s a very boisterous and obnoxious being, everytime a particular emotion of his flares up, he gets significantly noisier
-Whenever he enters the room you happen to be in, you’re forced to cover your ears and flinch because he has a way of announcing his presence
-But he tries so incredibly hard to act calmer around you and he so hates it when he fails to do so because he knows how uncomfortable you get as a result of him screaming like an idiot
-His brothers usually blame him when you start fidgeting because they assume he’s the cause of your rising anxiety and he started to believe it as well
-He sees that look on your face and he is just gutted
-He is ready to get on his knees and start apologising profusely until you forgive him for being such a noisy bastard
-The times other things/people are the cause of you going weirdly quiet, he will use his threatening tactics
-“Listen ‘ere, you’re makin’ my human uncomfortable so if you don’t shut the fuck up, I won’t let you see the light of day again. Do ya hear me?!?!”
-He says to the godfather clock when the sound of it striking midnight startled you
Levi:
-He 100% understands
-He hates loud noises as well and they usually make him scamper back to his room lol a rat in hiding
-Levi is slightly more immune to them however seeing as his brothers do have a habit of raising their voices all the time
-But do not worry, human, for he will protect his Henry from the annoying sounds people in general make at the cost of his life
-Take shelter in his room, please
-He loves having you in there and usually you only have the noise of video games in the background
-If you’re there and an anime he’s watching is getting too loud, he will turn it down for you ahead of time
-Sometimes, he can be as noisy as his brothers, especially when he rages at one of his games
-Bu he’s so quick to shut up once he realises you’re there
-And then, like Mammon, would start apologising for being not only an ugly otaku but an obnoxious one at that
-So y’all end up comforting and cuddling each other because.....uh....mutual hatred for loud things?
-Also, he would decapitate his brothers for you if they crossed a line (like he’s not really a Yandere but he’s a demon with demonic instincts to protect I guess)
Satan:
-Much like his father eldest brother, Satan also prefers silence in general
-After all, it’s a lot easier to read when his brothers aren’t there to muck about the place and make too much noise
-Humans are very different to demons, especially psychologically speaking and he understand that
-That’s why he doesn’t question it when you follow him into the library to seek refugee from his siblings
-If anything, he’s rather happy he gets to spend some time with you so the two of you sit in silence, each of you doing your own separate thing
-He knows if something is bothering you again, he can probably notice you suddenly start fidgeting in public
-He’s very cautious with you when you are in this state as he deems you are at your most vulnerable
-One time, a teacher at RAD raised his voice too high while scolding you for not paying attention and that earned an involuntary flinch from you
-That guy was officially on Satan’s shit list from then on, just so ya know
-Overall, he’s very sweet and patient with you and absolutely does not mind spending an entire day with you indoors away from loud noises
Asmo:
-He has no problem with loud noises whatsoever
-If anything, he loves being in crowded public places like The Fall, since partying and socialising is one of his many talents
-Not to mention, he’s so used to own family being so loud it just doesn’t affect him that much
-However, when you first arrived and he noticed just how badly you reacted to loud noises, he started avoiding things like clubbing as if it were the plague every time he hanged out with you
-Asmo needs social contact but he is more than willing to spend time indoors with you if it makes you feel better
-Or going out shopping in a relatively quiet shopping centre
-I mean, getting his nails done with you by his side sounds absolutely amazing to him
-So as much as he loves making noises and spending time in rowdy places, he’s always going to make an exception with you

Beel:
-Beel is unbothered by noise
-Sure, he does like it better when his brothers aren’t fighting and things are peaceful around the house
-But, he’s not fazed by yelling, loud music, heavy things falling and thudding against the ground etc.
-He picks up on your anxiety riddled gestures the first time Lucifer has a go at his brothers in front of you
-Because you started fidgeting like crazy and in that moment he was the only one that saw it
-So Beel grabbed your hand and led you outside of the room and Lucifer was so caught up in the moment he didn’t even realise it
-Probably, maybe he just let it go
-Basically, Beel decides that he shall protect you, the tiny human in comparison with him, from any loud noises that might startle you
-He will do it, do not test him
-One time, Mammon was screaming because he was chased by the witches and it made you flinch enough for Beel to see
-A couple hours later, Mammon disappears completely and shows up at your door, looking absolutely traumatised but genuinely apologetic and says sorry
-Sometimes people forget Beel is a demon
Belphie:
-I’m gonna make a wild assumption and presume that if you are vulnerable to loud noises, you are very likely a light sleeper
-If that is the case, (apologies if you’re not) then Belphie would be very quick to notice because a lot of shit goes down at night time and most of the time, it’s loud
-Belphie doesn’t have a problem with it, he can sleep through anything, even his brothers and especially Lucifer
-But he definitely notices if you aren’t cuddled up to him any more, even if he was asleep, because you sat up in bed suddenly at a random noise at 3am
-Note: That was Asmo sneaking back into the house trying to be as quite as possible but tripping and breaking a window
-“You’ll have to get used to that. My brothers are idiots, they don’t know when to be silent.”
-He prefers quiet places like the attic so he can actually sleep, but again, could do so either way so it doesn’t matter to him
-But he is going to be...let’s say ...upset.... if you were to wake up from a nap session because of someone something
-“Make one more sound and I’ll rip your tongue out.”
-Even when you aren’t napping, he gets very angry when people get unnecessarily loud, especially with you reaction
-But that just gives him an opportunity to bring you to the attic or something so the two of you can actually chill by yourselves for a chance
-Beel is invited obviously, but Belphie is just as happy to be left by himself with you
-Ironic how much his feelings for you have changed, huh?

🏮 You just can’t say no to those eyes </33 so you oblige and go out and get one from an owner who’s surrendering it (Because we don’t support chain pet stores in this household)

🏮 Anyways- he’s infatuated with them it’s so funny. He spends all of his freetime watching them get used to their new habitat like,,,, all of it. It’s 1am and he’s just watching it hang out and you’re like ‘Kiri if you love it so much then why don’t you sleep with it’ (not in that way ya nasty)
