it's an odd one to pick, but this is one I really like.
It's such a funny but interesting moment, how Ford just isn't good with wording and accidentally upset Mabel when she asked about an owl possibly being present in it. I especially like it because I feel like this moment and line specifically is one of many hints that Ford is neurodivergent, specifically autistic, with how literally he took Mabel's ridiculous statement. I am autistic, so it's nice to be able to see a character I love with similar traits to me! So yeah, I like this line. :3

James Flint Appreciation Week
Day 2 - Most Memorable/Favorite Quote
There are so many Flint quotes that I love but, after a few rewatches, this one from Season 4 stuck with me:
“England has shown herself to me. Gnarled and grey. And spiteful of anyone who would find happiness under her rule. I’m through seeking anything from England. Except her departure from my island.”
Flint is making it clear that because England, and her so called polite society, will not accept him he will no longer bow down to it. He is a free man and will not cower in fear of it or its ideals any longer but more than that he is willing, and able, to fight, to die, for a world where people do not have to live under the yoke of shame and fear that cost him everything he loved.
Speaking as a queer person myself, I hear/read this quote, and many other Flint quotes, and I immediately feel a fire. I know what it’s like to be judged, to be shamed, because of who I am, because of where and who I find my happiness with. And I, like Flint, refuse to live under that yoke. I want nothing from a society that would see me shackled and hidden just because of who I truly am.
