heads up it turns out a lot of the new jukebox the ghost is actually really great!!!! i was out here thinking their music had just gotten worse but it turns out just a couple songs happen to be terrible and the rest is good
#like i hate wasted. but i got a girl and brass band are both so rad#i had made my judgements on their new stuff based on getting older. for the record. but that was just a random low point in the middle of#good stuff. and it wasn’t even that bad of a song i just decided it meant i should keep only listening to the older album i like#anyway i’m seeing them in concert. tomorrow. as a christmas present from my sister she gave me aldi-brand oreos and concert tickets for us#and it’s tomorrow so i’m listening to their new stuff cause loving let live and let ghosts won’t carry me through blending in at a concert#anyway some of their new stuff is annoyingly overproduced and sanitized like it sounds like radio music. but that is not all the new music#and it’s really exciting to have made that revelation!!!! and in other news i have a doctor appointment a week from tomorrow#where i try to get a medical diagnosis to go along with my problems so that i have standing to apply for an elevator pass and stuff#and speaking of which i’m a little nervous about going to a standing room concert when i’ve been extra unwell lately?? but i should be okay#but yeah anyway i’m doing the closest thing to seeing tally hall that i can in this day and age. so wish me luck shdhdf#i’m scared but also excited. and i’m really enjoying the piano stuff on their newest EP#now starting their album from slightly earlier and not sure i feel about it yet but generally optimistic!!!!#in final news i have a socratic seminar next hour for a book that i hardly managed to read 20 pages of. so hopefully i can fake it/make it#i would read it right now but something about the font literally won’t translate into actual words in my brain. and the content is weird too#(the kingdom of this world by alejo carpentier i know it would be cool if i could process and pay attention but instead i’m just confused)#but so in conclusion. the new jukebox the ghost is actually pretty rad and i recommend at least giving it a chance#if you happen to be like me and had not gave it a chance shdhdf. anyway i should probably look at a spark notes#but yeah. life updates of: doctor appointment and concert and jukebox listening. i keep drafting and not posting#so here’s some words from me. hope everyone is well. maybe a call again sometime would be good#i guess in a few weeks when everybody is in the places where they live. anyway hi the rest of tumblr i’m secretly talking to wext shdhdf#hope the rest of tumblr is doing okay as well. okay i gotta go study now and stuff#but i got a girl and brass band are highlights of their new stuff so far#again hope everybody is doing okay!!!!#also ask to tag for whatever#me. my post. mine.#delete later

LITTLE SIBLING.
⟡﹒yandere! older brother x fem! reader
summary : your older brother thinks that your boyfriend wasn't good enough for you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
during his childhood, yohan davis really wanted a little sister. a sweet little sister that he can protect and adore forever. but, that dream was shattered when his dad died and he had already accepted the fact that no matter what happened, he won't be able to have a little sister. because he can't force his mom to remarry just because of his selfish desire after all.
and let's be honest here. with yohan's handsome face and those captivating (e/c) eyes of his. even when he was a child, everyone adored him. and maybe that was the main reason why he became like— this. uh, a spoiled son who was able to get whatever he wanted? aside from little sister, of course.
but then, when he reached the age of 15, his mom got remarried. he was excited, for his mom and for the chance that he can achieve his dream through his new dad. yep, he knew how obsessed he was with having a little sibling. everyone, except his mom (since she thinks that it was a cute thing but clearly it's not) has pointed it out to him. but he didn't care since in his eyes, it was unfair for him that his friends had little siblings that they could adore and spoil.
and yohan fucking celebrated when he got the news of his mom being pregnant a year later. he basically ran to his new dad and hugged him tightly and started to thank him and his ehem, let's forget about the last part. anyway, after that sudden revelation, yohan had started looking for good names that he could give to his younger sibling. he also looked for some cute toys and clothes but let's forget about it.
yohan, during his little sibling's birth stayed at the hospital. he didn't give a fuck about what other people were saying when he did all of his homework at the hospital while waiting for his parents and his new little sibling. and boy, oh, boy. yohan teared up when he saw you for the first time. you were so cute, so precious, so adorable and the most innocent thing on this planet.
“ so, how about you give her a name, son? ”
that was what he was waiting for. with a smile, he kissed your forehead as he told them the name that he had come up with after the 9 months that he spent thinking a name that suits you. (first name), his little sister. don't worry, your big brother will give you everything that you want and he will do everything for you.
expect that this guy will be quite overprotective when it comes to you. don't complain if you aren't able to play with your peers or if he doesn't let you go out and lock you at home. he was just worried! you're too innocent! what if you got kidnapped when he wasn't looking?! oh, and when he realized that you're allergic to (insert food here)? that day, you weren't able to see that thing inside your house again since yohan really threw a fit in front of your parents exclaiming that if they served you that kind of food again, he would run away and he will bring you with him.
but aside from his obsession, overprotectiveness and overbearing personality. yohan was a good older brother for you. he was much better than your classmates' older brothers. when the truth is he just engraved the 'he's the best older brother in the world' idea on your mind during your early childhood so that you will stay with him forever
anyways, much to his disappointment, when you became a teenager you found yourself a boyfriend. and that angers yohan. i mean, why do you think that boy deserves you? gosh, he was the one who raised you and he knew that boy wasn't deserving of you! he did his best to make you dependent on him. he cooked for you, washed your clothes and even made sure that you didn't know how to do housework! do you think that boy will do that for you? yeah, no.
expect that yohan will always roll his eyes when you mention your boyfriend whenever you are with him. this guy shamelessly stalks you when you are on a date, and when he sees that your boyfriend is about to kiss you? he will immediately call you to cut off that dirty romantic atmosphere that disgusting guy created. that guy bought you a gift? don't worry, your brother will give you a more extravagant the next day.
he will do anything to make you see that you made a wrong choice of getting into a relationship with someone. look, he knew that his obsession with his little sister was because his friends and bandmates always pointing out to him. there was some point when they asked him if he romantically saw you but that only disgusts him. the hell are they talking about? why would he romantically see his little sister? do they think that he's a sick freak? that's disgusting.
sure he stalks his little sister, sure he makes her dependent on him, sure he manipulates his younger sister that he's the kindest soul alive, sure there are some points that he commits crime for you. but anyways— he only did that because you were his little sister. his innocent and fragile little sister that he needs to protect!
and when the news about your boyfriend cheating on you reached his ears. he was fucking happy! see? he told you, that guy wasn't good enough for you! oh, his poor little sister. the only thing that he did when he saw you go home crying was to hug and comfort you but of course, while he manipulates you thinking that other guy aside from him and your dad was like that. a fucking freak that will only hurt your feelings.
ah, of course! do you think that he'll forget about that ex-boyfriend of yours? of course, he won't! because yohan, with a 'little talk' made sure that guy won't be able to approach you again. oh? you're worried when he came home bloodied and had a bruise on his cheek? this guy will tell you that your ex suddenly punched him out of nowhere when he talked to him when the truth is he beat that guy half to death. hehehe, and seeing you believed him made him smile widely. ah, it seems like you're really stuck with him from now on. and yohan was willing to sell his soul to a demon just to make sure this would last forever.
“ big brother's doing this for your sake so listen to me, okay? ”

Baby, You're My Type
Tumblr media
Eddie Munson x GN!Reader
Words: 804
Summary: When someone unexpected asks you on a date it brings some new information to light. And long-overdue conversations are had.
A/N: Slowly getting back into writing, I'm very rusty so please bear with me. Hope you enjoy it. I should have a few more small fics coming out in the next few days while I still have some time off.
The Hellfire club was just finishing up a section of their campaign when you burst through the door, eager to share your news. You throw yourself into an open seat, leg bouncing as you wait for Eddie to stop talking. You lean over the table, fingers tapping as you stare at your best friend.
As soon as he closes his mouth the words were spilling out, “The funniest thing ever just happened.”
Everyone begins packing their things and Eddie quirks a brow in your direction. When all you do is stare at him with a wide grin he gestures for you to continue.
“Jason just asked me on a date,” you laugh as the rest of the room goes quiet. The older members of the group are quick to rush out the door not wanting to see where this conversation goes. Dustin on the other hand stops shoving papers into his backpack and settles in, ready to watch the drama.
Lucas and Mike tug at his arms, not wanting to stick around longer than necessary. “Let’s go,” Mike hisses. His eyes darting between you and Eddie.
"Now," Lucas urges.
“I want to see how this plays out,” Dustin whines, catching your attention. Your laughing dies as you take in the worried look of the younger group members and realize that maybe your news wasn’t as funny as you thought.
“You should go out with him.” You whip around, eyes wide. The click of the door behind you is all you need to let you know that only you and Eddie are left to finish this conversation.
You open and close your mouth, trying to figure out the right combination of words. Something that will get through to Eddie and let him know just how ridiculous he is being. Before you can find the words Eddie continues, “I mean you do seem excited about it.”
Finally you stand up and make your way toward him, leaning on the table just in front of his chair.  Your fingers wrap around the edge of the table, gripping it tight.
“I was only excited to share the news because it’s crazy and I found it funny.”
“I don’t see what would be that funny about it.” He leans forward in his seat. The small gap between you grows smaller but neither of you back down. The smell of his cheap cologne floods your senses and for a moment you forget what you are talking about.
“He’s not my type, not even close to my type. Everyone knows that, so it’s funny that he thought he would ever have a chance.” The way you lips quirk up at the end of your sentence is not missed by Eddie. His eyes practically glued to your lips as you speak.
“Are you sure, he seems like he would be your type.” There’s an edge to his voice that has you gripping the table harder. How can he still think that you would be into someone like Jason when you have always made it clear that you would never be caught dead with someone that arrogant.
You chew on your lip, contemplating if you really want to say what you’re about to. Taking a deep breath you tell Eddie, “My type is metalheads, with crazy hair, tattoos, and a love for nerdy things like dungeons and dragons.”
He taps his fingers against the arm of his chair, pretending to think about your revelation. You scan the room, trying to find anything to hold your attention so you can avoid looking at Eddie.
“I thought you said everyone knew your type, but I never knew that’s what you’re into.” He stands from his chair inching ever closer. His warm breath hits your face and finally you turn your gaze back to him.
Your heart flutters as you take him in up close. Mustering all the courage in you, you tell him, “I made it painfully obvious for so long, but in case you still can’t see it this should help.”
He quirks a brow at your cryptic words and you bunch your hands in his shirt pulling him closer. Pressing your lips into his you let out all the pent up emotion you have been holding in. His arm slips around your waist pulling you closer as his other slides up to cup your cheek.
When you pull back, you can’t help but to smile. “In case it still wasn’t clear, you’re my type Eddie, just you.”
“Hmm, I never would’ve guessed,” he jokes. “That’s good though, ‘cause baby, you're my type too.”
Lifting you slightly he sets you fully on the table intent on making up for lost time. As your lips find his you wrap your legs around his waist and get lost in the happiness of finally being with Eddie.

You couldn’t help the permanent smile on your face.
Yes, moving was going to be a hassle, and you didn’t have a clue how everything was going to fit into this tiny one-bedroom apartment, but being back in the place again, keys officially in your hands, the place really yours, standing in front of the bright living room windows that made your heart sing when you first saw the place, that feeling that this was your place warmed your whole chest again.
It was hard to break away from the light streaming in through the windows, but you turned your head to look at Bucky. “So? What do you think of the place?”
He was new to your life, too.
The kidnapping and rescue in Paris had been only a month ago. Over that month, you and Bucky had been figuring out what the revelation of your feelings for each other meant outside of a life and death situation. Parts of that were easy, other parts were trickier, but nothing that made you want to abandon ship.
“I think it’ll suit you well,” he answered. His smile was soft. You loved seeing this side of him, especially after so many years of angst and rivalry between you.
“You’re practically glowing with excitement,” he added.
Your smile grew to a grin, and you shrugged one shoulder. “It’s smaller than the place I’ve been, but I couldn’t resist all this sunlight.”
You turned around and looked at the empty living room that bled into the kitchen area. “I want to try and measure things and figure out where everything will go before the movers bring the furniture in tomorrow. I’m still worried about whether all my shelves will fit or not.”
You set your bag down on the kitchen counter and began to pull out a measuring tape, the blue painters tape you planned on using to map out the furniture shapes on the floor and rummaged for the hastily scribbled together list you’d made of your furniture dimensions.
Bucky had remained silent – he was often so silent you could forget he was present when you got immersed into something – and you spun back around to see him still in the same position across the room by the windows, studying you.
“What?”
“You know what we have to do before anything else,” he said seriously.
“What’s that?”
He licked his lips.
Oh.
Your stomach flipped.
“Bucky, we can’t–”
He chuckled. “You have the keys, it’s officially your place,” he said, stalking toward you. “We absolutely can.”
Before you could utter another word, he reached for your elbow and tugged you into his arms, planting a sound kiss right on your mouth, swallowing all protest. He coaxed your lips open, and his tongue licked into your mouth, drawing an eager moan from you.
Damn, he was too good at this, you thought as your hands came up to clutch at his back.
He pressed your bodies together, and you were not surprised to feel the evidence of his arousal pressing against you. One thing you had learned about Bucky over the last month was that he could be ready to have you on the turn of a dime, and he could be insatiable. That your body responded so quickly to him as well was both blessing and curse. Less than a minute and you were melting completely against him, eager for more, and you could feel the slickness already growing at your slit.
Your hands dropped down his back, but only to reach the hem of his sweater before dipping under so your fingers could eagerly climb up against his naked skin. He grinned into the kiss.
With his sweater quickly halfway up his torso, Bucky broke off the kiss momentarily to pull it up and off the rest of the way. Then he coaxed you down to the floor, spreading his sweater down on the hardwood floor and laying you gently on top of it. His body covered yours, and he began kissing you in earnest again, his vibranium arm planted next to your head while his other hand began deftly working at the buttons on the front of your blouse.
It was only another moment or two before he’d pushed your shirt open to bare your torso to him, and Bucky wasted no time in trailing his hot lips down your throat to blaze down your chest, paving a heated path between your breasts, over the band of your bra, and down your stomach. He gave your belly button a playful lick that had you gasping and a giggle bubbling up your throat.
“Bucky!”
He chuckled, and reached down to pull your shoes off as he pressed more kisses over your stomach. Then, with both shoes discarded, he knelt above you to unbutton and unzip your jeans, before pulling them down and off your legs. As your legs came back down on either side of him, his hands skimmed slowly along your inner thighs, and when they reached your core, he pressed one thumb at the base of your clothed slit and brushed it up over the damp cloth of your panties, the other thumb following just after and teasing you again there. You canted your hips up, wordlessly asking for more.
Bucky smirked, but he hooked his fingers into the waistband of your underwear and quickly pulled them off, tossing them to the side as well.
“Please,” you begged.
“Happily,” he whispered, then lowered himself down to wedge his shoulders between your thighs, pressing them wide to accommodate his broad frame. He licked a stripe up your dripping slit, moaning at the taste of you.
Your stomach swam with butterflies and your cheeks heated slightly. You had never been with anyone so unabashedly open with their desire for you as Bucky. He held nothing back when expressing his pleasure, his desire. It was a heady thing to be on the receiving end of, and you it still had you between feeling slightly flustered and drowning further in the depths of how intoxicating it was to know the effect you had on him.
He applied a second, slower lick over your folds, and then he began to kiss your lower lips the way he did your mouth, and your entire body coiled up for him, back arching, hands grabbing for his short hair, legs contracting.
“Bucky, god, yes,” the words tumbled out as you quickly began to lose more and more of your coherence.
But he was slow and torturous in his ministrations. You squirmed for more, but he held your pelvis down with one firm hand, while the other gently caressed your hip. Your fingers found his vibranium ones, and he entwined them with yours and started to fuck your cunt with his tongue.
When he heard a little whine escape from you, he began to suck your clit diligently. The orgasm that he’d been building you toward escaped from you briefly, but the switch picked right up on building that tension again, and he flicked his tongue a few times across your swollen nub as he sucked, and then you cried out as you finally tumbled over the edge of ecstasy.
He pressed a kiss to your cunt, then shifted up, quickly maneuvering his hands beneath your back to unclasp your bra and pull off your last piece of clothing. It was the only moment of reprieve he gave you, because then his mouth dipped to suck at one of your tits, and one of his hands worked into your folds, slowly stroking in and out of your tight channel. Two fingers curled into your pussy, and he quickly found one of his favorite places – that spongy spot on the front of your walls, knowing he found exactly the spot he needed as you gave a debauched moan. He slipped in a third finger, and as he sucked the hardened nub of your nipple and lapped at it, he worked to rip your second orgasm from your soul more quickly. It was clear nothing was going to deter him from his plans to ruin you in the empty apartment, and you could only be glad you were up on a floor high enough you didn’t risk any neighbors seeing in your open blinds to see the way he was taking you apart right there on the floor.
The second orgasm burst through your body unexpectedly, and it stole the breath from your lungs.
It had ripped through you so powerfully that you didn’t register the clinking sound of his belt buckle coming undone and hitting the floor as he unzipped and pushed down his jeans and boxer briefs.
But you noticed he wasn’t finished with you as he slipped one hand under your thigh and angled your hips to slot the head of his cock between your puffy folds.
You whimpered, fighting to open your eyes and plead your case as you looked into in the depths of his heated blues. Whether you were pleading for him to stop or for more, you really didn’t know or care at this point.
He hitched your leg up around his hip and slowly slid his fat cock fully into your cunt. “So damn good.”
You moaned openly, completely debauched on pleasure at this point, but clearly your pussy wouldn’t refuse him plying you with even more of it.
Deep, slow strokes.
You felt every aching inch of him as he thrust slowly in and out of your tight channel. He still made you stretch around him, and it was exquisite for both of you.
Full, so full.
In and out.
So deep inside of you now, and you could do nothing but make incoherent noises beneath him, gasping for air. “I know, sugar, I know," he murmured into the crook of your neck. "Gonna give us what we both need.”
And he fucking does, as he does every time, using your body as if he’s had you for years. He rewarded you both with an orgasm that truly leaves you boneless and breathless once he finally pushed you over the edge and then sped up his thrusts to chase his own release as your vagina squeezed around his throbbing cock. He groaned as he spilled hot ropes of cum inside of you, thrusting until he’d emptied himself in you completely. Finally, he collapsed on top of you, and pressed kisses into the crook of your neck, then along your jaw, allowing you to try and catch your breath before finally kissing your lips again.
You whined against his lips, and he rolled over, taking you with him, and letting you lay half on his chest, half against his side. He continued to kiss you lazily.
You didn’t know how long he continued to make out with you, but the sun’s rays had shifted significantly once he pressed a kiss to your forehead and you rested your head on his bare shoulder.
“It’s a good floor,” he said, almost mundanely.
You laughed softly.
“We’ll need to check the counters a little later,” he added.

Home for the Holidays (Alexia Putellas x Reader ficlet)
18. "cancelling all other plans so they can spend the entire holidays together."
Hope you don't hate me for being a few weeks late. This one's not the best but covid really took me out. Merry Christmas, dear friends. I hope 2024 is full of magic for you all.
Tumblr media
"Are you excited to go visit your family for Christmas?" Lola asked you at the end of the last training before Christmas. This was your third year in Madrid and every Christmas, you left Spain to visit your family in Denmark. You usually looked forward to the time with them since you didn't get to go home often.
"Yeah!" you lied. "We're going to make cookies like we do every year and I've been on a crafting kick, so I made a bunch of pinterest-y crafts to give them." You hadn't told anyone but you were dreading going home this year. Not because you didn't love your family but because you didn't want to leave Alexia alone. Her mom and sister had gone on a vacation for a week to Japan and due to a volcanic eruption, they had gotten stuck there. So far, there was no news on whether they'd make it back this weekend for Christmas.
Not that anyone knew you and Alexia were dating. That you wanted to throw your traditions to the wind and start building new ones with Alexia.
"When do you leave?"
"In the morning. I have the first flight out at 6am."
"That's too early," Lola said, fake shuddering. "Merry Christmas, Y/N," she said, picking up her bags. "I hope you have a great time."
"Thanks, Lol. Merry Christmas." You smiled warmly at her as she walked away. You finished packing your bag and walked out to the parking lot. On the drive back to your apartment, you  tried calling Alexia. They had finished training  for two weeks yesterday and had a team Christmas party tonight. It surprised you to get her voicemail. Hanging up, you sighed, hoping she was alright. She loved Christmas normally and you knew it was incredibly hard for her to be without her family.
Once you were home, you turned on all the Christmas lights you'd put up. Bright colors and twinkly white lights illuminated your home, bringing a huge smile to your face. The Christmas tree in the corner was filled with the ugliest ornaments you could find. Garlands and tinsel were hung over every window. The older you got, the more time you spent away from home, the more you reveled in tacky Christmas décor.
An hour later, you were curled on the couch with a large bowl of soup, a cheesy Christmas movie on the television, and your puppy sprawled out next to you on the couch. As the couple on the screen slowly fell in love, your mind drifted to the woman you loved. And you started to plan. There was no way you could leave her alone at Christmastime. The thought of her alone dampened all your Christmas spirit.
The next morning, you packed up your bags and the puppy and made your way to the train station. When you should have been touching down in Copenhagen, you were stepping off the train in Barcelona. Although Zazu had only been to Barcelona once, he led you right to her apartment, tugging you along behind, anxious to see Alexia. You had a key to her apartment but this surprise felt worth knocking and waiting for her to open the door, so you kept it tucked away in the side pocket of your backpack.
She answered, a hoodie pulled down over her forehead, hair that had escaped her bun poking out around her face. The initial frown she had at being awoken broke into a smile and then tears.
"Oh, honey." You stepped into her and wrapped your arms tight around her. She burrowed her head into your shoulder, making her hood fall off. Zazu jumped onto both of your legs, barking in excitement.
"I needed you. And here you are," she whispered.
You brushed her hair back and kissed her forehead. "Come on. I'll make you some breakfast."
She hugged you from behind while you made food for both of you. Her arms tightened when you started pulling plates out of the cabinet. All you could do was giggle. Hungover Alexia was always so cuddly. Sad Ale was clingy. This Alexia was a combination of both of them.
“Are you going to let me go so we can sit at the table or do you want to sit on the couch?”
“Couch,” she mumbled.
"Carry this for me," you said, handing her one of the plates. You picked up the empty plate and took her free hand in yours for the short walk to the couch. Zazu had made himself comfortable on one end. His tail wagged excitedly when you walked closer to him. Skirting the coffee table, you put your plate down and then took Alexia's to set down. Sitting, you pulled her down next to you, letting your thigh rest against hers. Picking up her plate, you handed it to her. "Here you go, babe," you said gently.
You ate in silence, enjoying each other's presence after all these weeks apart. After breakfast, you both took a lazy shower. You washed her hair for her and let your hands wander. She told you she was beginning to feel half human by the time you got dressed. She asked to go for a walk with Zazu and you gladly agreed. After sitting on the train all morning, you needed some fresh air and exercise.
As you walked down the street towards Alexia's favorite coffee shop, you looped your arm through hers. Barcelona at Christmastime was a magic and you felt like you were walking in a dream. Zazu tugged excitedly at the leash even though he didn’t know where you were going. Multiple times, Alexia had to tug the leash to bring him back to the correct direction.
You took your coffees to the park, so Zazu could run freely for a bit. You cuddled up next to Alexia on the bench. The wind had picked up and you hadn't worn enough layers. She took her hat off and pulled it down over your ears.
"Thank you." You'd also made the mistake of getting an iced coffee. But when he said their special was an iced cardamom lavender latte, you couldn't resist it. It was also so good that you couldn't stop drinking it, despite how cold you were.
"So, what time do you leave for home?" she asked suddenly.
"I have a flight this evening." You traced small patterns on her arm.
"Today?" she asked sadly. "That's so soon."
"I know. I know. My mom was very annoyed that I pushed it even that long."
"Well, I'm really glad you were able to make this pitstop." She kissed your cheek, letting her lips linger a second longer than she should have in public. "I hated the idea of being alone."
"I hated the idea of you being alone too. Which is why I booked two tickets from here to Copenhagen. If I have to go home, you're coming with me."
"What?" she asked, sitting back in shock.
"Come with me," you said, taking her hand in yours. "I want to show you my life in Copenhagen. I want to wake up with you on Christmas morning."
"You're adorable." Throwing her arms around, she pulled you close. "Merry Christmas, Y/N."
"Merry Christmas, Ale." Before putting your arms around her, you let your fingers dance over the little velvet box in your pocket. Christmas in Copenhagen wasn't the only surprise waiting for Alexia this year.

Co-parenting (Part 5)
Pairing: Carlos Sainz x Ex!reader
Warnings: none
Summary: Co-parenting is never easy but y/n never thought it would be so hard.
Previous Chapter
Tumblr media
The revelation hung heavy in the air, casting a new light on our already complicated dynamics. As Carlos’s words echoed in my mind, I found myself grappling with a whirlwind of emotions. Confusion, longing, and a glimmer of hope danced within me, each vying for supremacy.
But amid the turmoil, one thing remained clear: I needed time to process.
“Carlos.” I began, my voice barely above a whisper, “I don’t know what to say.”
He nodded, his expression a mix of understanding and apprehension.
“I know it’s a lot to take in, Y/n. I didn’t mean to catch you off guard.”
Silence settled between us, punctuated only by the steady rhythm of waves crashing against the shore. With each passing moment, the weight of his confession seemed to grow heavier, pressing upon me with an intensity that left me breathless.
“I need some time.” I finally managed to say, my words wavering slightly. “To think and understand things. Not to mention this situation with Max, and I don’t know what we are or aren’t.”
Carlos nodded again, his unwavering gaze as he reached out to gently squeeze my hand.
“Do you love him?” He asks.
“I don’t know, we’ve known each other for a really short time for me to love him.”
“But we were like that.”
“I know, but I knew from the first day I saw you that I loved you.” He looked at me for a few seconds and looked back at the sea. “But it doesn’t mean I can’t love him, things are different.”
“Take all the time you need, Y/n. I’ll be here whenever you’re ready.”
With a heavy heart, I get up from the sand, the cool breeze of the night enveloping me like a balm. As I made my way back to the house, I couldn’t shake the lingering sense of unease that persisted within me, nor the persistent echo of Carlos’s confession.
Entering the dimness of the interior, I found myself drawn to Maeve’s room, where she slept peacefully, her face illuminated by the soft glow of the bedside lamp. Looking at her, a wave of love and protectiveness washed over me, mingling with the uncertainty clouding my thoughts.
In the quiet of the room, I allowed myself to reflect on Carlos’s words, turning them over in my mind. The truth of his feelings was undeniable, but what did that mean for us? For our family? And what about Max, whose presence still lingered in the recesses of my mind?
With these thoughts swirling in my mind, I walked to the room I was staying in and lay down, only to be pulled from my thoughts when my phone vibrated.
Max
Max
Hey, how’s your summer vacation?
Me
Hey there
It’s been very lovely
Maeve is enjoying every minute of it
Max
That’s nice
I was about to ask if she was having fun
Me
She is
But I think she’s more excited to tell her friends about it than the vacations itself
Max
What about Carlos?
Me
What about him?
Max
Are you guys enjoying together?
Me
Please, don’t do that
Max
I’m just asking
I’ve seen the news about him and Rebecca and I presumed that they broke up because of you
Me
Yeah, it’s been a strange day
Max
You don’t have to be ashamed of it
I always knew he still loved you
Just the way he looks at you
Me
I don’t know what to say
Max
Did he tell you something?
Me
He told me that he broke up with her because of me
Max
And what did you feel when he told you that?
Me
I felt confused, scared and a lot of things
Max
Do you still love him?
Me
Maybe yes, maybe not
I don’t know how to feel
Max
I really like you and I want you to be happy
So if that means for you to be with him, I’m ok with that
And I also know how good would make Maeve feel
I grew up with a lot of traumas and I would’ve done anything to grow up close to my mom and my sister
Me
But what about us?
Max
I’m still gonna be your friend and I’m gonna be here anytime you need me
But I need you to tell me who do you choose, I don’t wanna catch any strong feelings for you if you still love him
Me
Thank you Max
I’m not gonna decide anything right now, but I promise I’ll let you know everything
I’ll just enjoy the vacation and focus on my daughter and not in my complicated love life
Max
Yeah and I’m part of the complication
Me
A good part
Max
Thank you
Good night and we can talk in person when you come back
Me
Yes, that’s better
Night Max
After the chat I’m with Max, I felt somewhat relieved, but still overwhelmed by the confusion hanging over my love life. As I lay in bed, I realized how complicated things had become and the weight of the decisions I needed to make.
The gentle breeze of the night flowed in through the partially open window, bringing with it a comforting freshness that contrasted with the turmoil in my mind. As I closed my eyes, I allowed myself to sink into a restless sleep, where dreams and worries mingled in a confusing tangle.
The next morning, I woke to the sunlight filtering through the curtains, bringing with it a new day full of possibilities and uncertainties. I decided I needed a moment to clear my mind.
So I went for a walk along the beach, seeking tranquility amidst nature. The sound of waves gently crashing against the shore was comforting, and the smell of the sea enveloped me, bringing a sense of calm and serenity.
As I walked, I let my thoughts wander freely, trying to find clarity amidst the chaos.
That’s when I came across a small seashell in the sand, its vibrant colors catching my eye. Curious, I bent down to pick it up, feeling its smooth texture in my hands, thinking Maeve would like it so I took it with me.
“Mommy.” I heard her voice and turned to see her in a bikini and Carlos in just a pair of shorts and no shirt.
“Good morning, my love.” I picked her up and he kept coming towards me.
It was like one of those movie scenes where the hot guy walks up to the main character in slow motion.
“Look what I found and picked up for you.” I put her down and handed her the shell.
“Daddy, look what mommy gave me.”
“Wow, that’s beautiful.” He smiled at her.
“I’ll see if I can find one for you too.” She stepped back a bit.
“Did I interrupt?”
“No, you’re not interrupting. I was just clearing my mind.” I replied trying to keep calm.
“Can I join you? I needed a moment to get my head straight too.” he said, sincerity in his gaze.
“Of course, feel free.” I agreed, reaching out to him.
We walked together along the beach, letting the gentle sound of the waves guide us. Maeve walked a bit ahead of us trying to find the perfect shells while we walked side by side.
For a moment, the weight of our past conversations hung in the air, but there was also a lightness, a sense of comfort in each other’s presence.
“So, how are you feeling?” Carlos asked, breaking the silence.
“Confused, I guess. With everything that happened… and the things you told me.” I admitted, feeling vulnerable before him.
He nodded understandingly, offering a friendly shoulder.
“I understand. I didn’t mean to overwhelm you with my feelings, but I needed to be honest with you.” he explained, looking me in the eyes.
“I know. And I appreciate that, even if it’s hard to understand.” I replied, returning his gaze.
“Y/n, I just want you to know that I’m here for you, no matter what happens. Whatever your decision, I’ll be by your side.” he said, sincerity in his words. “Such as a father, a friend or someone to share life with.”
Those words touched my heart in a way I didn’t expect. It was comforting to know that, despite all the complications, we still had each other.
“Thank you, Carlos. That means a lot to me.” I murmured, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over me.
We continued our walk in silence, our steps synchronized with the rhythm of the waves.
We returned from the trip and I was still uncertain about my love life. I really like Max, genuinely, he has been nothing but affectionate and understanding, but there’s not that spark that Carlos and I had.
Or still have.
That’s why I left Maeve with my parents and went to Carlos’s house. But I had a surprise when I knocked on his door and Rebecca opened it.
“Hi Y/n, did you come to bring Maeve?” She says smiling.
And it was like my heart broke at that moment, because just a little while ago he was saying he still loved me and that he had broken up with her but the fact that she opened the door of his house makes me think otherwise.
“In fact, I…”
“Found everything?” I heard his voice that was surprised to see me. “Y/n? What are you doing here?”
“Nothing I shouldn’t have come.”
“Wait, I was already leaving.” She says. “I just came to pick up my things and I’m leaving. Thank you for letting me come Carlos, I’m sorry they sent these things here.”
“It’s okay.” She waves to him and to me before getting into the car and driving away.“Are you okay? Is it something with Maeve?”
“No, we’re fine.” He’s relieved.
“Well then come in, no need to stay out here.”
“Sure.” Somewhat uncertain I walked in. “I wouldn’t have come if I knew she would be here.”
“It’s okay, actually she asked last minute if she could come pick up these things and since I was home I said she could. But if I knew you were coming I would have told her to come another time.”
“I understand.”
“We didn’t get back together if that’s what you’re thinking. I was serious about what I told you that day.”
“That’s what I came to talk about, actually.” He nodded. “Can you get me some water please?”
“Of course.” He leads me to the kitchen and hands me a glass of water.
“I came to talk about us.”
“Sure.” He says and sits on one of the stools in his kitchen island but I keep standing holding the glass.
“I thought a lot about what you said and I want to try again.” As soon as I said that he froze. “Carlos.”
“I’m listening.” He says.
“I thought about Maeve, about you but mainly about me and my feelings for you.” I took another sip of water. “And I never stopped loving you, we didn’t break up because there was a lack of love or respect, it was the best decision for us at that time.”
“I agree.”
“So I thought a lot about me and what would be best for our family and if you still want I…” he interrupts me and kisses me.
It was like the first time again, the warmth and butterflies in my stomach and the feeling of happiness were amazing.
“I swear I’ll do everything to prove I’m willing to make it work.” He whispered with our foreheads touching. “And I promise I’ll be a better father.”
“You’re already a good father, and Maeve would agree with me if she was here.” He laughs.
“Thank you for giving me another chance, I promise I won’t waste it.”
“I know you won’t.”
“What do you think about picking up our daughter and going out to dinner?” He says and I smile.
“I think it’s a perfect idea.” He smiles and kisses me.

Heyy guys, thank you so much for following the story this far. I know many of you wanted her to end up with Max, but I would have to post many more chapters to develop their relationship, and besides, it was never my intention for her to be with Max, Carlos always was the end game. I’m also so busy that I won’t have much time to do anything more than one chapter.
But that’s it, thank you all so much ❤️

Tumblr media
“I’m home Princesa!! And I want all your cuddles right now!” Pablo was in quite a good mood having done well during training and gym session and happy to be with his girl for the rest of the night.
“Amor?? Que pasaba?? Why is it dark in here??” he walked into your shared bedroom to find it completely dark and you curled up under the blanket.
“Are you crying???” He sat down trying to move the blanket to find and see your face but you clenched onto it tightly sobbing a little.
Pablo was worried now especially since he talked to you an hour ago and you were perfectly fine and excited for cuddles…what happened???
"Preciosa, can you come out and look at me please?" he said pulling on the covers only to revel your tearful face that broke his heart. Who dared make his precious girl cry!? Not while he is alive!
"Que pasaba? Tell you Pablito. Huh?" he moved to lay besides you pulling you into his lap and you cuddled up to his side hiding your nose into his neck while whimpering.
"H..he c..cheated" you were mumbling and Pablo couldn't understand you clearly feeling scared that some fake news made you think he cheated which he would never do! You were it for him...the love of his life!
"No, amor!! I didn't! I promise!" he started but she shut him up by placing her small hand on his mouth muffling his apologies.
"Not you P..Pablito..um..this other footballer on his girlfriend" you said and Pablo relaxed knowing that it was your 'girl days' and you got super sensitive during those time. He secretly loved it!
"So why are you crying about it cariño?? Do you know her?" he asked moving a piece of your hair from your face before drying up your tears with his hand while you shook your head.
"But..but..how can he do that?" you were hiccuping between words and he forced himself not to giggle at how cute you were right now kissing the top of your head. He loved how much you cared and how you wanted everyone to be happy.
"Shh princesa..I don't know....some people are weird and they think doing it makes them cool" Pablo spoke calmly and you appreciated that he wasn't calling you stupid but instead talking to you about it.
"He..kissed another girl at the club when his girl was waiting for him at home..que horribles!" you said and he raising your chin up kissing your lips while he nodded his head.
"You feeling a little better amorcito?" he asked and you nodded although there was still something that bugged you and he could tell.
"You can tell me everything, mi vida..I promise to listen, bueno?" he said and you smiled knowing he knew what you were talking about.
"Do all footballers cheat, Pablito???" you look up with a pout and he knew you had every right to ask him this. Footballers have certain record of being disloyal, but it was nowhere near that every one is the same. He knew he would rather die than cheat and hurt you!!!
"Its easier for them to cheat, amor..all the garotas that want them for fame but I think it takes someone owning your heart to keep you loyal..like you own mine, princesita" he said kissing your nose while giggling and you blushed nodding your head while laying it down on his chest and he let you relax in his hold.
"But which footballer you know that hasn't been accused of cheating???" you say and Pablo smiled immediately knowing the right answer to that question.
"Frenkie...and me" Pablo said and you smiled looking up and nodding your head really knowing how much he respected and loved Mikky. When you heard they were waiting a baby, you were both so happy!
"You did say you look up to him recently in an interview???" you smile and Pablo nodded leaning down and kissing your lips.
"Mhm..I want to become as good of a midfielder as him..and I want to have a baby with you in the future" he whispered the last part and your whole body contracted. He never said something so directly before..you were in a happy shock..all your insecurities vanishing!!!
"Amor!!!" you blushed hiding your face into his neck and he smirked knowing his work has been done now that you were a blushing mess clenching onto him. It might sound silly to you now, but Pablo meant every spoken word :)
Ik it's short and that I don't post as much (sorry for being inactive!!!) but I hope you enjoy it <333

Sporting Incentive
I stood outside the charming London apartment, feeling an electric thrill in my bones. Six months in this enchanting city awaited me, and I was ready to embrace every adventure it had in store.
Tumblr media
I simply swapped apartments with another student who was also studying abroad. The other student’s name was William, and his apartment was centrally located—a perfect find for me.
As I stepped inside, the interior was as impressive as the exterior. Clean and stylish, with a touch of sophistication that made me feel right at home. A letter from William sat on the dining table, welcoming me to his apartment and assuring me that a cleaning lady would come weekly. I grinned as I read the part about making use of William's sports equipment and clothing. The apartment was a treasure trove of athletic gear. It seemed William was quite the athlete, unlike myself. From the bike leaning against the wall to rows of equipment for various sports, I couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration and a pang of guilt for not being as sporty.
The day London's public transportation went on strike, I found myself in a on a dilemma. I needed to get to the university, and without hesitation, I decided to ride William's white racing bike.
Tumblr media
It was a new experience, and at first, I struggled to find my balance. Alas, as I pedaled through the streets of London, a newfound exhilaration filled me. I was hooked. "Whoa!" I mumbled to myself, my heart racing and laughter bubbling up as I zipped through the streets, reveling in the freedom and speed of the bike. From that day on, I ditched public transportation for my trusty two-wheeled companion.
Tumblr media
"Hey, Aiden, why don't you join us for a game of hockey?" The invitation came from a couple of guys at the university. I was hesitant at first, not being much of a hockey player, but eventually, I gave in to their pleas. Before I knew it, I was suiting up in William's hockey gear and taking to the nearby park.
Tumblr media
The game turned out to be a surprising success. I found joy in the friendly competition, and soon enough, hockey became a regular hobby for me. "Aiden, have you ever tried rowing? Our club could use someone like you," a fellow hockey player asked one day, sparking my interest in a sport I hadn't considered before. I thought that since I was in London, I might as well try rowing—after all, it's typically English.
I took William's rowing suit and ventured to the rowing club.
Tumblr media
The sense of unity and purpose I found there had me hooked from the very first stroke. Before long, I was waking up at the crack of dawn to row every morning before heading to the university, relishing the tranquility of the river and the rhythm of the oars. As days went on, I noticed a change in my physique due to all the sports. My own clothes no longer fit properly, so I began wearing William's refinde attire. It felt a bit odd at first, but soon, I grew to love the posh style. "Well, well, look who's turning into quite the athlete,"
Tumblr media
a friend remarked, and I couldn't help but smile at the transformation I had undergone.
With a deep breath, I stepped into the familiar pub, the scent of ale and chatter filled the air.
Tumblr media
William was waiting for me, a grin spreading across his face. "Aiden! I'm back earlier than expected. How's the apartment been treating you?" "It's been fantastic, William. I can't thank you enough for letting me stay here." "I'm glad you enjoyed it. By the way, you don't have to sleep on the sofa. It's not really my apartment, and I actually haven't been abroad," William confessed with a chuckle. "Wait, what do you mean it's not your apartment? What's going on?" I asked, feeling a knot of confusion forming in my stomach. "It's all part of an experiment for my master's thesis. The apartment is designed to influence your subconscious and turn you into an athlete. And I must say, it's been quite a success!" William's eyes danced with excitement. "You did what?" My voice rose in incredulity, but I found myself unable to muster anger toward William. There was an odd sense of acceptance and understanding that came over me. Before I could protest further, William dropped another bombshell. "And it seems my experiment turned out more successful than anticipated. I also tried to make you my best friend, and it looks like it worked!" I blinked, trying to process everything, but then something remarkable happened. A warmth settled in my chest, and I couldn't help but mirror William's grin.
"A world trip, you say? I've always wanted to travel with you, William." "I thought you'd say that! I've already booked the tickets. It's the perfect way to celebrate the success of my thesis," William said, excitement lacing his words. The thought of traveling the world with William filled me with an indescribable joy, and for the first time in a long while, I felt genuinely excited about something. As the days passed and the world trip drew closer, I found myself caught in a whirlwind of preparations and excitement. The sparkle in William's eyes was infectious, and I couldn't deny the thrill of experiencing the world with him. The first light of dawn illuminated the airport, casting a golden glow over the eager faces of the travelers. An array of emotions churned within me—anticipation, excitement, and a flicker of apprehension.
Tumblr media
"Here's to new adventures, Aiden," William said, clinking his glass against mine as we waited for our flight. "To new adventures," I echoed, a genuine smile curving my lips. The world awaited us, brimming with possibilities, and for the first time, I was eager to embrace it all. As the plane soared into the boundless sky, I couldn't help but feel a semblance of freedom that I had never experienced before. Leaning back in my seat, I closed my eyes and let the hum of the aircraft lull me into a state of contemplation. What awaited me beyond the horizon?
"Hello, Josh. Yes, it's been quite an interesting experiment, and I believe it's time to put the cherry on top," William’s professor spoke into his phone, his eyes glinting with anticipation. "Thank you for the generous financial support. Aiden has proven to be the ideal candidate for your law firm. He will change his subjects to law after returning from his world trip. I’ve influenced his subconscious so that he will become a dedicated and loyal employee." William’s professor said, his voice dripping with confidence.

"Oh, and I've taken up the suggestion of the HR department. Aiden will be pleased to contribute to the diversity charter as well. It seems he'll be a nice little addition to London’s gay community soon," William’s professor said with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Scenerio: You and Bullfrog go on separate missions without informing each other, you both secretly attend the same party, switch clothes, and try to blend in so you can kill the same guy. Until you both finally noticed the other.
A/n: I couldn’t help myself. This idea stuck to me for a few days now. I was planing to write more but yeah… I am leaving this like this to you guys.
Hehehe, Jelly Bullfrog~

Bullfrog adjusted his tuxedo in front of the mirror. Why did he enter the party like this? He could find a way in and take advantage of a good moment. But there was too much risk.  Someone might notice. And this man was better protected than he thought. He would have to look out for a moment when he was alone at this party. It was his only chance. His own home was much more sheltered. The only way was to join this party is like this. Of course, since he didn't have an invitation, he would enter this way. It made him feel a little lucky to have hybrids around... as waiters? Eh, not much of his liking but his own comfort was out of the question right now, he had to use what worked for him. He took a deep breath and placed the mask on his face. When he thought he looked decent, he came out of the restroom. He looked around carefully with the tray under his arm and left when he didn't see anyone. Okay, act normal. You are a waiter. You are a waiter. This is not a normal party either, of course it isn’t, he needs to look quite formal here.
The music getting louder and louder proved that he is going to the right place. He carefully adjusted the wrist of his right wrist, when he felt the sharp object a soft smile appeared on his lips, confirmed that it was still there, and continued forward. It was starting to get crowded around him. His eyes were carefully searching for his target.
When he finally saw him, he changed his path but stopped immediately. The waiters around him were distributing drinks. Those whose trays were empty went to get new ones. It would be very strange if he walked around empty handed like this. He immediately followed someone and went to get a few drinks on his tray himself. After a short while, he returned with a few glasses of drink. When he saw his target again, he moved towards him.
"Hey, you. Get me a bottle of red wine now."
He paused and turned towards the voice.
"What are you staring at? Go and get me one!"
"Of course, sir." He muttered and scoffed when he turned his back on him. He sighed this is gonna take longer then he liked.
────────────────────
You laughed along with him at his jokes and sighed, "Oh, dear. I don't even remember laughing this much in my entire life!" You laid your head on his shoulder with the sweetest smile you could muster.
He wrapped his arm around you with vodka in his other hand, "Your smile is like a revelation to my ears. Let jokes be your slave, babe. As long as you ask, I will play all my cards on you from morning to evening." You muster everything in you to not roll your eyes at this.
Finally you were waiting for this moment, he was drunk too. Perfect moment. You used your most seductive look and voice, slowly turning to him and took your mask off, "Oh, really? I would love to hear more about those..." you traveled your hand on his chest and leaned to his face, "cards you can pull." You breathe out.
He bit his lip, definitely getting excited, "If so... let's get inside my room so I can show you all my tricks~" You can't believe how easy this was.
You grinned happily, you were nearly at the point of sitting on his lap. God, finally!
"Yes!" You acted giddily, bouncing on his legs as he grunted hungrily, holding your thighs tightly.
He smirked, "Mm, slow down a bit, dear. I want to order one more drink then I am all yours."
He put his finished glass down on the table, stealing a kiss from your neck.
You playfully sighed, "Mm, be quick. I can't wait for you~”
"Of course." He egoisticly responded.
He made a hand movement to one of the waiters nearby, not getting a response caused him to scoff, "Newbies." You heard him mutter. You laid your head on his chest to ease him up.
You notice him relax and speak up, the waiter must finally understand and approach like he asked. "Get me another vodka. The strongest we have. You want something sweetheart?" He softly muttered to you.
You hummed and gently sat up, thinking of an excuse, "No, thank you, I think I am good. The only thing that gets me drunk tonight can be you, honey~" You flirted, your eyes landing on the waiter that in front of you, the smile on your lips dulled. His honey colored eyes glaring deep into the man holding you.
The Fuck He Is Doing Here?!!
The man's cocky laugh seemed to be deafen to your eyes as his arms tighten around you. Bullfrog's eyes gazed over you only for a second. You knew him more than anyone. And you know for a fact that he was holding so much back from just killing him at that second. And throwing so many questions at you. He knew you were an agent. But you never told him you choose to lure your prey like this.
Getting inside a party as a waitress to kill his target? That's not much of his still either. Is he here to kill the same guy? Seems highly possible. You quickly cleared your head. You can talk to him about this later. Just finish your job first.
"Alright, bring me a vodka then we can go to my room."
You give one last glance at Bullfrog as your eyes meet. You both stared as if communicating through it. He sighed, hesitated and walked back. You smiled up at the man.
"Yes." You gently caressed his chest. "Will you excuse me a bit, please? I need to freshen up my makeup a bit for the night. Wait for me here, don't leave anywhere~"
He groaned and held you tighter, "Come on you are already good like this. Don't leave me now~"
You gently push him away, "Ah, come on. It won't take long. We are already going to your room after this~"
He finally accepted and let you go. You get up from his lap and send a kiss. You turned around and walked away. What an idiot.
Now, where is Bullfrog?
Before you can even start to search someone pulled you inside a restroom. You quickly get out of their grip but halted before you can start fighting.
"Oh god damn it. You scared the shit outta me." You heaved a sigh.
He quickly took his mask off, "What are you doing here with that guy?"
You scoffed, "Isn't it obvious? I am here to kill him."
He took a deep breath, "Yes, of course." He sighed, "A heads up would be nice..."
"No, you are right. Sorry about that..."
You muttered after a bit of silence, "So... we are here to kill the same guy?"
"Pretty much."
You smiled at him, "I already got him under my finger. It's easy to convince him to let you in also. Wanna kill him together?"
He breathed out a sarcastic laugh, "Yeah I can see that... there is nothing for me to do here it seems! S'il te plaît. Go and do your job, my job, madame. Freshen your pretty makeup and please go onward." He bowed. Something ached in your heart to see him like this. He was definitely upset. Maybe more than upset.
You sighed, "Come on, don't be like that.” You gently caressed his cheek, “I already said sorry. You know that I love you and only you, right? So, stop worrying. We don't have much time. Tell me, are you gonna follow along or not?"
He sighed, he is not gonna act childish about this, "Let's get this over with."
You gently grabbed his mask from his hand and placed it back on his face, you bit your lip, as he pressed his cheek to your warm hand, enjoying the kind touch, "Is anyone told you that you look so good in a suit." You gently fixed his tie.
He chuckled, "I heard lots of stuff today. But you are the first." He glanced up at you with a smirk.
You pulled him in by his tie, he didn't resist as you both leaned in for a hot kiss.
You break the kiss pressing your head to his, "... I am sorry. I should have told you everything. Will you be able to forgive me?"
"Je fais but only in one condition, I want to kill him myself." He smirked.
"I thought you weren't the revenge type of guy?" You laughed.
"I am not. I'm just doing my job."
You smiled, "I would like to watch you kill that asshole. Please go ahead. But first lemme freshen my makeup and you should go ahead and pick a drink." You walked towards the mirror with your bag.
He grumbled over the door, "Poisoning that guy would feel really good right now. It would be much easier too." He pouted.
"Too bad you don't have poison then." You smirked while doing your makeup.
"Why do I feel like you have one?" He raised a brow, smiling.
"Not at the moment." You informed with a smile, "Maybe for our next target~"
He laughed, "This never happened before. We both having the same target?" He hummed, "I hope we encounter this much more, I like it. Though a heads up from both sides next time?"
"Sounds good. We shall inform each other more often."
He chuckled and opened the door, "Bonne soirée, mademoiselle." And left you smiling.

Kix + Competence
After a rocky meeting, you try to avoid Kix and the attraction of his competence. It doesn't work out.
Kix x gn!reader (no use of 'y/n' and no pronouns). Romantic.
Word Count: 3,200
Warnings: feelings of intimidation, mentions of trooper genetic manipulation, nervousness, some awkwardness.

"Alright, that finishes up the bulk of today's briefing," Captain Rex announced. "Any other business?"
"Yeah, why are we having a briefing when we're so deep in unoccupied space that a Seppie would be a welcome sight?" one of the nearby troopers asked rhetorically, his voice pitched low enough that only the trooper beside him - and you - could hear.
It wasn't a bad point. The briefing had mostly been made up of minor points about the ship's maintenance and small alterations to the mission… only the declassified pieces, of course. The captain was welcome to have as many meetings as he wanted, but you were curious why you had to attend.
You were a last-minute addition to the Resolute, pulled in to fill a position that had been vacated due to an unfortunate combination of injuries, deaths, and transfers. The job as a radar technician was one you excelled at, and your supervisor had immediately recommended you to fill the temporary vacancy. Your competitive streak had preened at the recognition of your skills, even if they sent you to a dangerous position far from home.
The fact that you had no family and few friends was probably part of the reason for your new assignment, but you were trying not to think about that.
In any case, silence reigned in the hangar bay after the captain had asked his question and you were ready for the meeting to end, but the captain nodded to one of the troopers.
As the man in question stepped forward, your heart gave a heaving thud and you did your best to look somewhere else.
Kix was the 501st's medic, the one assigned to keep the men safe and treat any injuries that may occur in the field. He was an efficient worker, an unflinching professional, and extremely competent in every respect.
That was the problem.
Your first interaction with the medic had been less than ideal. You had been brand new to the Resolute and interacting with some troopers for the first time when you had asked how they spent down time on the cruiser. They had mentioned a few things, but seemed especially excited about competitions in the blaster ranges. As always, the mention of a chance to excel had piqued your interest and you had excitedly mentioned that you were a good shot.
“Who knows?” you had joked. “I might even end up beating some of you!”
They had laughed, but Kix - standing nearby - hadn’t. “Doubtful. Troopers are bred from the genes up to be better than nat-borns at anything combat-related. Shooting, running, strategy, detonators…”
With the horrible sensation of prior interest that had now curdled in your stomach, you offered a curt nod and walked away.
Kix’s bluntness hadn’t been a surprise, especially since he was a medic, but it paired poorly with a shocking revelation you had about yourself: you liked him.
You hadn’t known how thrilling you found competence until you had joined the GAR… and even then, you encountered very few examples of it. But on the Resolute, Kix was the one who had drawn your attention. At first that was mostly due to irritation, but it had soon turned to reluctant admiration. He was attractive even beyond his bearing and you could see yourself in a relationship with him - hells, you had imagined it often enough - but your assignment was probably temporary and it seemed like a bad idea.
So, as the self-assured, competitive technician you considered yourself, you put all your energy toward avoiding Kix any time there was a chance of sharing a space.
It really didn’t work very well. You always found yourself in situations where Kix was present. Even worse, he always seemed to be doing something that showed how intensely good he was at being a medic or influencing his brothers or any number of things he had been trained to do. It was frustrating.
At the front of the room, Kix had only just started to speak. Despite your determination not to stare at- ahem, watch him, his voice commanded your attention and you found your gaze locked on him anyway.
“As most of the veteran troopers on this ship know, you are expected to meet basic safety standards to serve aboard a space-faring vessel, especially in times of war. Every being on this ship must hold certain certifications concerning those standards.” Kix glanced around the room. “I know we have a few newcomers on the Resolute, so consider this your briefing: you need to attend a class and an assessment. Dates and times for those are posted on the ship’s information boards and outside of the medbay.”
This wasn’t the first you had heard about safety standards and certifications. You had even known they were required for serving on ships. However, you had always assumed you were exempt since you were only a specialist brought on for a temporary assignment. Apparently, that wasn’t the case.
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, you reasoned. Kix probably wouldn’t be there. Why would a medic supervise safety regulatory compliance? …okay, you could guess why. But he had other work to do.
Your hopes were instantly dashed when Kix finished, “I’ll be personally supervising every training and assessment. If you don’t complete your full certification by the end of the week, you’ll be subject to disciplinary action.”
“What if we’re already certified but wanna come hang out with our favorite medic?” a voice called from the front of the group.
Kix rolled his eyes, but a grin flashed over his face as he said, “Jesse, you can go ahead and let your certification expire. I don’t think anyone is comfortable with the idea of you trying to save their life.”
A loud scoff and some raucous laughter was the only answer to that… at least until Captain Rex announced, “Dismissed.”
You were slow to join the crowd of troopers drifting toward the doors back into the main body of the Resolute. Even just that split-second smirk on the handsome medic’s face had been enough to throw your heart into a pounding rhythm.
How were you ever going to survive a full class with him and still learn enough to pass the assessment? You certainly didn’t want to be found lacking, even in a temporary assignment. And especially since you knew Kix had such a low opinion of nat-borns already.
Two days later, you hadn’t found an answer, but you were in the class. It wasn’t the last one offered, but it was the only one that worked with your schedule. Infuriatingly, Kix had been around even more often since the briefing. Any time you were somewhere for more than an hour or two, he would be there as well. The reasons were always different and valid: working on a project, checking on someone who had sustained an injury on the last mission, following up with people who had taken their assessments.
When you finally walked into the class, you were relieved to find that it seemed to be a module-based course. There were workstations set around the room, each with a datapad lying on the desk.
“Welcome,” a voice greeted warmly. You knew who the voice belonged to, and a polite - if mildly pained - smile was already stretched over your face by the time you turned. “Let me explain how the class is going to work.”
You nodded, glancing around the room as an excuse to avoid his eyes. You were worried what they would see in yours. “I would appreciate that. I’m a little lost.”
“Well, we’re going to start with a short holovid on the datapads,” Kix told you, gesturing to the waiting row of workstations. “It’ll walk you through some basic safety and first aid information. Then, when you’ve finished the video, you’ll come to the back area.”
You hadn’t seen the small, half-curtained area until Kix pointed it out, and then your nerves were thrumming with tension.
“To demonstrate the skills there, I assume?” you checked. When Kix nodded, you asked, “And is this a test situation or a collaborative effort?”
“More the former than the latter,” Kix told you. “That works better for you, since you’re the only one who signed up for this particular time slot.”
The signups had indicated that you would need one to two hours to complete the full course. Just your luck that time would be spent completely alone with the 501st’s handsome medic.
“I’m sure you have other things to do,” you said in a desperate attempt to get out of this for a little longer. “I can sign up for a different course with other people in it. Just let me know what day and time.”
This was the only course that worked with your schedule, but surely you could be excused from your job to be certified in order to continue performing said job? That sounded like something you could convince your supervisor to allow.
But Kix was already shaking his head. “You’re already here and I’ve had this time set aside since you signed up. Go ahead and grab a datapad. The holofilm is already queued up. Let me know when you’re done and we’ll move on to the second half of things.”
You weren’t sure what you had expected to see in the holofilm - maybe CPR or basic first aid - but you were met with a diagram of a Venator-class star destroyer.
An LY-77 droid began speaking about the build of the ship, what each floor held, and where the major mechanical components were housed. You held a top-secret security clearance as part of the requirements for your job, but this was still intensely well-guarded information. Honestly, you weren’t sure you were supposed to be seeing it at all, but it was interesting enough to hold your attention.
The droid talked you through emergency plans, evacuation routes, and the location of medical kits. Then the holovid delved deeper into the specifics of what you could find in the medkits and how each piece should be used. That was where things started to get more complex. The medkits were meant to help with anything from trips and falls to depressurization.
Just as you were starting to feel bitter at Kix for describing the holovid as ‘short’, it ended. That would have been good, but it left you with the realization that you had to go spend time one-on-one with the medic.
When you walked toward the curtained area, you found Kix sitting at his desk seemingly engrossed in filling out forms. You cleared your throat softly. “Kix? I’m done with the holovid.”
Kix immediately stowed his datapad in a drawer and stood. “Good. Any questions?”
You shook your head and he gestured you toward the curtained area. When you stepped through, you found a realistic mannequin lying on the bed with a medkit on the table beside it. It seemed to be a generically humanoid medical mannequin, though someone had drawn the outline of a chestplate across the torso, along with some lines that looked suspiciously like Hardcase’s tattoos.
“We’re going to run through some questions and test how well you remember the different topics covered in the holovid,” Kix told you.
Despite the nervousness screaming through your system, you passed the majority of the test without making a mistake. Luckily, the internal organization of a Venator-class star destroyer was fairly logical, which made it easier to follow. Questions about emergency situations had captured your attention, so you had retained more than you might have, otherwise.
“Okay, great job,” Kix congratulated. “Let’s move on to the practical portion. Go ahead and open the kit.”
That sounded simple enough - and it should have been - but the medkit had latches unlike anything you had ever seen before. Dimly, you remembered the holovid mentioning that the medkits were tamper-proof, with latches designed to be operated only by sentients. You weren’t sure whether the sentient-operated design was one you endorsed, especially since you couldn’t manage to pry them open, even as a sentient yourself.
“They’re sent-op latches,” Kix reminded you.
You gritted your teeth in an effort to hold back a biting retort. “I realize that. I’m just having trouble opening them.”
“The holovid showed you how to open them.”
The underlying meaning being that you should remember how to use the latches. Or that you hadn’t been paying attention. Both of those conclusions frustrated you because, despite paying attention, you didn’t remember how to operate the latches.
“I don’t have a perfect memory, not like you do,” you countered. Your irritation made the factual statement sound snappish. Kix frowned and you shook your head, regret spiking in your chest. Just because you thought he was condescending didn’t mean you could be rude. “I didn’t mean it like that…”
“Do you need something to eat?”
The sudden change in topic made you stare. “Wh-what?”
“Your hands are shaking,” Kix pointed out, already bustling to a nearby cabinet. Before you could get more than two words into your explanation, he was back and pressing a small packet of crackers into your hands… Which, you had to admit, were noticeably shaking.
“Are you feeling okay?” he continued. “Eat and I’ll get you something to drink. I think I’ve got some juice around here. I haven’t seen anything noteworthy in your medical records, but we can run some tests-”
“Kix, I’m fine,” you interrupted. “I’m nervous, not sick.”
He pulled up short, squinting at you. “Nervous? Why are you nervous?”
“Well, I’m not sure…” you drawled slowly, sarcasm dripping from every word. “Maybe it’s because I’m being tested on a half-learned set of procedures by a hyper-competent medical officer?”
“You shouldn’t be nervous,” Kix assured you.
You rolled your eyes. “Kix, put yourself in my position. You wouldn’t be nervous if you were me?”
“I’m already nervous.”
You would have taken it as a joke, a dry little comment meant to either put you down slightly or attempt to put you at ease (failure though it would be). However, the surprised and regretful look on Kix’s face told you that wasn’t the case.
“You’re nervous?” you asked, feeling stunned. “Why would you be nervous?”
“It’s not- That isn’t-” Kix cut himself off with a sharp sigh and an impatient turn, like he had other things he needed to do. But now that you knew what to look for, you saw past the cool, professional facade. He really was on-edge. “You aren’t an easy person to get to know.”
If the galaxy had given you a thousand guesses, that wouldn’t have been among them. “Get to know me? I don’t understand.”
Another sigh. “You know the men talk amongst themselves, right?”
“Yes, I know,” you told him with a shrug. You had seen the troopers gossip in the mess hall, on the bridge, in hallways… anywhere, really. “They aren’t exactly subtle.”
“Of course not,” Kix agreed, shaking his head in exasperation and mild amusement. “But you may not know that they have plenty to say about you.”
You winced. “Anything I need to explain?”
Kix frowned for a moment in confusion, then barked out a laugh. “No, nothing concerning. They say good things about you. Really good things, actually. Mostly that you’re hardworking and trustworthy and funny. And there’s the- Well, the… You know you’re good-looking, right?”
Now it was your turn to give a sharp laugh. “Pretty rich coming from the best-looking trooper in the GAR.”
Any embarrassment you may have felt at saying that directly to Kix’s face was negated by the fact that you had heard the comment parroted word-for-word at least two dozen times since you had first stepped aboard the Resolute.
And you made sure your tone showed that, too.
Kix grinned anyway, as cocky as you would have expected if the compliment had been given by you alone. “Flattery won’t make me forget the rest of the assessment, but you’re welcome to keep trying.”
“Don’t get too excited,” you warned him, watching his expression stay exactly the same despite it. “I also think you’re rude and condescending.”
Finally a reaction - Kix grimaced slightly. “Because of the genetic superiority comment?”
“Yes.” If the confirmation came out flat and a little dry, it was still better than anything else that may have escaped you.
“Yeah, Denal told me I karked that one up pretty badly,” he admitted, looking a little sheepish. “I’ve wanted to make it up to you, but I was trying to let you make the first move and you never acknowledge me.”
That made you frown in realization. “Wait, is that why you’re always hanging around? Trying to get me to talk to you?”
Now Kix was frowning, too. “Yes? Why else would I do it?”
“Honestly, I thought you were showing off,” you replied. “You always seemed to be doing something to prove how great a soldier you are or how skilled you are at being the 501st’s medic.”
Kix ducked his head, handsome face reddening slightly. “Well, if I was going to be around anyway, I thought it might help if you thought I was good at my job.”
“That’s never been in question,” you countered, feeling exasperated. “Anyone can see you’re good at your job, Kix. But all it made me feel was intimidation.”
And attraction, a traitorous little voice reminded, not incorrectly. You pushed it away, but not soon enough. Whatever Kix had read in your expression, it was enough to give him a look that was almost gleeful.
“What was that?”
“I didn’t say anything,” you denied.
“No, but you didn’t have to.” Kix took a step toward you, putting himself squarely in touching distance. You got the distinct feeling it was meant to be for your benefit. “Come on, tell me what that face was about.”
The resulting argument was short, but longer than was worth it. Eventually, you sighed. “Like I said, you’re a good-looking man. Can we move on?”
“On one condition.”
You frowned at the cryptic answer. “And that is?”
“Spend some time with me,” he requested. “Just dinner here on the ship. Any time you want before we get back to Coruscant. And then it’s up to you - if you want to keep seeing each other, say the word and I’ll plan a better date planetside. What do you think?”
The pause you took to think it over was about twice the time you actually needed, but it was soothing the remains of your irritation to see him start looking nervous. At last, you took pity on him. “I’d like that.”
“Good,” Kix said, gracing you with a small but sincere smile that spread over his handsome face. That smile turned into a grin the next moment as he nodded toward your hands. “I still need you to open that medkit, though.”
Your groan was loud and mostly theatrical, interrupted by Kix’s laugh and broken by your own.

Author's Note - I feel like I've written very few fics featuring Kix (other than Nobody Listens to Kix), so I wanted to write one. Thanks for reading. I hope you liked it!

IOTA Reviews: Action
Tumblr media
So, this is a interesting one to talk about. Not only is this the first episode in all five seasons to not be written or directed by Thomas Astruc in any capacity (though the other three writers on his team, Melanie Duval, Fred Lenoir, and Sebastien Thibaudeau still wrote this one), not only is it not connected to the ongoing plotlines of Season 5 in any way, but this episode was made with the help of the Breteau Foundation.
For those who don't know, the Breteau Foundation is an organization that works together with schools by giving children access to technology for their lessons, helping them with their psychological needs, and teaching them about ways to protect our environment. This episode was even made available on the Breteau Foundation's website for free in addition to educational materials meant to teach kids about recycling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, when we were kids, we got excited whenever the teacher played an old episode of The Magic School Bus or Bill Nye the Science Guy in class, but nowadays, TV shows are producing episodes of their shows specifically so they can be shown in class. And I'm not talking about those half-assed science lab worksheets with pictures of SpongeBob on them either.
The point I'm trying to make is that there was clearly a lot put into this episode, and it's all for a good cause to help teach children about how to protect the environment in order to ensure a better future... and of course, I'm still going to make jokes about it, because I'm just some schmuck on the internet who isn't backed by a major educational foundation.
Let's get into the 27th episode of Miraculous Ladybug's fifth season: Action
We start off with Marinette and Adrien heading over to the Liberty so they could be told about the pollution in the Seine River by their class' resident environmental activist, Myl—Nino, I mean, Nino. No joke, Nino gets more lines in this episode than Mylene does, even though ever since Season 2, Mylene has been established as the one to protest polluting the environment. I get that she already had a lot of screentime in an earlier environmental episode (Mega Leech), but why would you have Nino be the one to help spearhead this protest instead of Mylene? Hell, the plot of another episode started from him trying to get him and his friends out of helping Mylene plant trees for the environment (Party Crasher), so this makes even less sense.
I should also get this out of the way by pointing out a few continuity errors in the episode. For one thing, Marinette is stuttering around Adrien when she had mostly gotten over that issue after “Derision”, Kagami is now one of the avatars for the Alliance rings, something that had been established in “Revelation”, and the episode mentions that the Alliance rings are made of plastic when the season finale shows that they're actually made of metal. I don't want to harp on this too much, as this episode obviously wasn't meant to really tie into the main plotline so it would be easier for kids who aren't familiar with the show watching this episode, seeing how this was meant to be viewed as a standalone story. Besides, compared to other plotholes in the show like the ones I'll cover next time, these are fairly minor.
Nino tells Marinette and Adrien, and by extension, the audience, that the Seine River is full of pollution, and the Liberty has recently been converted into a makeshift water treatment plant. The problem is that with a recent increase of plastic in the Seine, it's becoming harder for the Liberty to filter out all of it. Hey, here's an idea: Maybe don't set up your homemade water treatment plant in the longest river in Paris.
The reason for all the new plastic comes from a recent ad campaign promoting some vending machines that sell these paper fans that were designed by Gabriel and are sold by a man named Bertrand King, who looks like a cross between Willy Wonka and Colonel Sanders, down to having a southern accent in the English dub.
Tumblr media
Nino suggests that Adrien talk to Gabriel himself, but as usual, Adrien doesn't think he'll listen, so the kids decide to go to Bertrand King's company while picking up an order for plastic containers for the Dupain-Chang bakery... even though I'm pretty sure most bakeries store pastries in paper instead of just plastic.
Nino has the others dress up in disguises, but like most of his plans this season, it fails miserably, so Marinette comes up with a little story about Adrien meeting up with Bertrand. The kids make an impassioned presentation to Bertrand, asking him to help change the way he operated his business like making his fans out of more biodegradable materials. Surprisingly, the man whose entire livelihood revolves around selling plastic doesn't want to listen to the people saying everything his company is doing is wrong.
Bertrand: This is all intentional. It's the wonderful cycle of throwing away and buying again that makes my fortune. If people didn't throw away and buy new items again then I, Bertrand King, would no longer be the King of Plastic! So, there is no way any of this is changing.
Wow, a rich person in Miraculous Ladybug turning out to be a total jerk? What an unexpected turn of events.
Bertrand points out how much plastic is used in everyday society, using pens and the Alliance rings as an example, and seeing how we cut to the next scene afterwards, we can assume he had them thrown out. Oh, come on, you couldn't even parody The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air like you did during “Migration”? The kids then try to go to Andre and Gabriel for help protesting the fans, but because one's a corrupt politician and another helped make them, they won't do a thing. Marinette tries to ask Nadja, the local news anchor, but because the ad revenue from Bertrand's company funds the channel she works for, she can't do a thing or else she'll be out of a job.
This leads to the kids deciding to do the sane thing and HACK THE NEWS BROADCAST SO THEY CAN MAKE A SPEECH ABOUT POLLUTION.
Tumblr media
Because it's not like Marinette and the others could have just gone to another news network with this story or uploaded it to the internet instead, right? And sure, scowl at the camera while you're giving this presentation too. That won't make you look like a bunch of eco-terrorists at all. The kids give a presentation about how dangerous plastic is, and how people can use fans made of more biodegradable materials like bamboo instead. Also, we get cameos from Jess, Aeon, and Fei, but they're pretty much there just to remind viewers that the New York and Shanghai specials happened.
Of course, the episode's following RWBY Volume 8 logic, so rather than view them as a bunch of lunatics who hijacked a news broadcast, the public immediately turns on Bertrand's company, arguably faster than what happened with Andre in “Mega Leech”. Speaking of, Andre and Gabriel change their opinions to make themselves look like they were always against Bertrand, and seeing how this episode aired after Season 5 ended, didn't really sit too well with viewers.
Bertrand calls out Gabriel for lying, but Gabriel doesn't care, secretly using this as an opportunity to akumatize Bertrand into King of Plastic through his pen.
Tumblr media
King of Plastic has a pretty underwhelming design. It's clear that the intent was to make him look like plastic, and there is a noticeable reflection on his body, but other than that, it doesn't really fit the anti-plastic moral. I think maybe if they did more to make his movements seem more stiff like a living doll, or at least make him look less like he's made of candy, it could work more. The Miraculous power this time is the Bee Miraculous' Venom, which he can use through one side of his lance to stun any victims so he can use the other side to turn them into plastic statues. It's sort of like the dollmaker episode of Arrow, only we don't get to hear the sound of anyone's esophagus hardening.
King of Plastic makes short work of Andre and the local police squad, and Adrien is forced to put teaching Marinette Mandarin on hold so he can transform into Cat Noir, while Marinette transforms into Ladybug as soon as she's alone. After he transforms Adrien's bodyguard into a plastic statue, King of Plastic fights Ladybug and Cat Noir, eventually transforming Cat Noir's staff into plastic too. Even though he was originally akumatized to get revenge on Gabriel, King of Plastic leaves the Agreste Manor and heads to the Liberty to get revenge on Marinette and Adrien's friends instead... for some reason. Even the episode points out how weird this is.
Cat Noir: Didn't you want to take revenge on Gabriel Agreste?
Ladybug: He probably has more than one enemy.
After following King of Plastic there with Cat Noir, Ladybug summons her Lucky Charm, getting a plastic bag. Because it's already made of plastic, it can't be transformed, which gives Ladybug an idea. She tells Alya to activate the Liberty's water treatment function, intentionally overloading it before Cat Noir Cataclysms the engine. This jettisons the collected plastic and overfills the deck of the Liberty, trapping King of Plastic so Ladybug can break his lance. So in an episode meant to teach kids about how dangerous plastic is, the day was ultimately saved by plastic. I'm sure that won't confuse any kids watching this in class.
Ladybug de-evilizes the Akuma, tells Bertrand about how dangerous plastic is, and he immediately vows to change his company's ways before Ladybug gives him a Magical Charm as useless as a plastic toy before she uses Miraculous Ladybug to fix the damage.
The episode ends with Bertrand funding the repair of the Liberty before vowing to change the way his company operates, as do Tom and Sabine, who now sell their products in eco-friendly containers. Unfortunately, with all the renovations being made to his company that come with moving away from plastic, Bertrand had to stop funding this groundbreaking cancer research institution in America in order to prevent his company from going bankrupt.
Anyway, this episode was pretty good. I honestly didn't have a lot of problems here. The plot was pretty straightforward, the themes of how easy it is to perpetuate companies that damage the environment were handled pretty well, and the main characters were pretty active.
Even the greedy corporate asshole meant to be a stand-in for real life executives was handled pretty well, having some quirks that make him stand out while showing how ignorant he is to the situation without making him completely insufferable. This episode could have easily gone the Captain Planet route with Bertrand, but they showed he wasn't intentionally endangering the environment because he felt like it, but rather, because he cared more about his company making money, even showing him ultimately realizing the error of his ways.
If there's one problem I had, it's with the way the Akuma fight was resolved. I get that any other Lucky Charm wouldn't have been immune to King of Plastic's plastic powers, but I feel like weaponizing the plastic the heroes spent most of the episode fighting against in order to stop the Akuma sort of muddles the message the episode is going for. It's not the worst way to resolve an Akuma fight, but it just bugs me personally.
While I still think “Mega Leech” did a better job with the environmental message, overall, this episode did a pretty good job teaching the moral it set out to teach.
Tumblr media
THE BIGGEST IDIOT OF THE EPISODE IS... ANDRE (THE OTHER ONE)
Shockingly, nobody really acted that stupid this episode. Yeah, the kids were pretty naive thinking they could make Bertrand change his company's way of production, but still took action when that didn't work. Andre, on the other hand...
While Gabriel and Nadja had their own reasons to support Bertrand (Gabriel for Monarch reasons and Nadja for financial reasons), the only reason Andre went along with the fans polluting the environment was because they happened to have his image as one of the designs, and when the public started to turn on Bertrand, Andre acted like he always opposed him, and when confronted with an akumatized Bertrand, begged for his life like a coward and said he would reinstall the fan vending machines. While I guess it's better than having Chloe be the primary supporter of Bertrand's company, I need to reiterate that this aired after the last few episodes of Season 5 tried to place Andre in a more sympathetic light.

You and Remus share a love of reading, and one of his books reveals his feelings for you — remus x fem!reader
warnings: n/a
words: 1k
Tumblr media
You walked into the Gryffindor common room and your best friend didn't even look towards the portrait hole. Remus was sitting on the couch, taking up all three seats as he focused on his book.
He didn't notice you at all until you crouched down next to his head and ruffled his chestnut hair.
"Hey." He said softly. "I didn't even hear you come in."
Remus dog-eared the corner of his page so he could close it without losing his spot, then sat up a bit, leaving a place on the couch for you. You would normally hate people mistreating their books—folded pages and messy annotations—but you'll make an excuse in your morals for Remus.
You smiled at him, then sat down between his legs, ignoring the free seat.
"What are you reading?" You asked him.
He lifted up the book to show you the cover. "It's called 'Their Eyes Were Watching God'. It's really good so far."
"I haven't read that one." You said, your hands running across the knitted hem of his jumper. "What's it about?"
"A muggle book, of course. It's like one woman's journey through life with a lot of focus on how her three husbands shaped her views on life." He looked slightly embarrassed.  "My description doesn't do it justice."
You smiled. Partly to show you were interested in the book, and partly because he was so cute when he spoke about anything he liked.
"It's okay, it sounds interesting." You said sweetly.
Remus looked relieved at your reaction. A smile mirroring graced his soft features, mirroring yours.
"You can borrow it if you want." He opened the book to his current page to show how far he was. You saw the pages were full of notes and scribbles in his messy handwriting, and it just made you more excited to read it.
"I've only got half a chapter left. As soon as I'm done, it's yours."
"Thanks, Rem."
You were best friends, so sharing something as small as a book really shouldn't have been a big deal. It was to you, though. It was a big deal because it was something of Remus' that you could have, even just for however long it took you to read the novel. You would have to settle for that if you couldn't be more than friends with him.
As a blush fell across your cheeks, you realised you wouldn't be able to hide your embarrassment. You said goodbye to Remus, then you went up to your dorm while he went back to his book.
✦✧✦✧✦
Remus had given you the book at dinner, then you had each gone to your own dorms after that.
You laid in your bed and started reading almost immediately after you got the book.
Remus was right; it was an amazing book. You couldn't put it down, and you were sure it was going to be a new favourite of yours. You even had a piece of parchment next to you where you were writing notes about the book so you could talk about it with Remus once you finished.
You admired every word that Remus wrote in the margins. You were lost in the book and everything about it until you came across one line.
'He could be a bee to a blossom—a pear tree blossom in the spring.'
It wasn't just the beautiful quote that threw you off, but the new ink next to it.
In the margins of the book, you saw Remus' adorable handwriting. Your name encased in an asymmetrical heart.
You couldn't help but smile while you processed what this little annotation meant. He had read that lovesick line and thought of you. Just as you had thought of him. You both felt the same way about each other.
Shoving your face in a pillow to suppress the noise, you let out a cross between a giggle and a squeal at the revelation.
Then you were snapped out of your schoolgirl daydreaming by a few quick raps against the thick wood of your door.
You stood up, smoothing your skirt and hiding your smile as you made your way across the room.
"Remus, what are you doing here?" You asked.
He was standing breathless at the door like he had raced up here. He looked distracted, scoping out the room. You looked where his eyes landed, and it was the book left lying on your bed.
"Hey, I actually need that book back. I'm really sorry, I know you wanted to—"
You cut him off before he could finish whatever excuse he was going to give you.
"I saw it already." You told him.
"You— You did?" Remus asked. He looked like he was going to faint, and it scared you because you knew bones would be broken if he fell on you. "I'm sorry. We can just pretend—"
You cut him off once more, but this time without words. You reached up to place one hand on the nape of his neck, and one by his ear. You pulled him closer to you. Once he leaned down to your level, you kissed your best friend right on the lips.
You were scared at first that this was all a big misunderstanding and that he was about to push you away in horror. But it wasn't, and he didn't. He kissed you back, bringing his arms up to cup your face. After a second of pure bliss in what had been a daydream for the both of you for years, you pulled your lips off of his.
You two stayed together, your foreheads resting against each other, breathing heavier than normal.
"I don't want to pretend." A smile spread across your face as you spoke the words.
"Me neither."
He pulled away again and pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head.
With that, you knew the book was your new favourite.

There's glitter on the floor after the party, girls carrying their shoes down in the lobby
The night was a tapestry woven with laughter, music, and the effervescent sparkle of celebration. A grand soirée had unfolded within the opulent walls of a magnificent ballroom, where the elite gathered to revel in the luxuries of life. Crystal chandeliers cast a dazzling glow over the dance floor, and the air buzzed with the merriment of the occasion.
A girl named Y/N had always been the quiet, observant type, content to linger on the edges of social gatherings and take in the energy of the room. Her world seemed to transform, however, when she received an invitation from to the grandest event of the year— a dazzling party hosted by the illustrious Scarlett Johansson, her sister. ( she always received an invitation, she just doesn't go. well, until now. )
Scarlett was the epitome of grace and sophistication, known for hosting events that left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to attend. Her parties were legendary, with an air of enchantment that lingered long after the final guest had departed.
Amidst the sea of faces, Y/N's eyes fell upon Elizabeth, her sisters' best friend, moving through the crowd like a vision. Elizabeth, the girl she had admired from afar for what felt like an eternity, was there, of course. Elizabeth's presence exuded confidence and charisma, and Y/N couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement in her chest as she nervously adjusted the hem of her dress, feeling a bit out of place amid the elegant crowd.
Elizabeth's presence also seemed to cast a magnetic pull, and Y/N found herself drawn toward her.
The glitter, like the residue of a magical moment, adorned the floor beneath Elizabeth's feet. Y/N's heart raced as she gathered the courage to strike up a conversation, as she approached Elizabeth.
"Hi," Y/N stammered, a nervous smile playing on her lips.
Elizabeth turned toward her, a warm smile gracing her face. "Hey there! I haven't seen you around before. Are you enjoying the party?"
Y/N nodded, her cheeks flushed with a delicate shade of pink, "It's incredible. I never imagined I'd be here."
Elizabeth chuckled, her laughter like a melody in the air, "Well, I'm glad you made it. These events can be a bit overwhelming, but they have their charm."
As the night unfolded, Y/N found herself drawn to Elizabeth's orbit. They exchanged polite conversations, laughter resonating in the air like a melody. The conversation flowed effortlessly, like a dance that mirrored the enchantment of the night. They shared stories, dreams, and in that moment, the glitter on the floor seemed to shimmer a bit brighter. Elizabeth's charm was undeniable, and Y/N felt a magnetic pull, as if fate had orchestrated this meeting.
"I've always admired you from afar." Y/N confessed, her words tinged with vulnerability.
Elizabeth's eyes sparkled with genuine interest, "Really? I had no idea. I'm flattered."
The night unfolded like a fairy tale, with Y/N and Elizabeth losing themselves in the magic of the party. They danced beneath the twinkling lights, and as the night wore on, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling that something extraordinary was happening.
Elizabeth, too, seemed intrigued by the genuine nature of Y/N, a refreshing contrast to the glittering facade of the event. The glitter on the floor beneath their feet seemed to sparkle with a newfound significance. It wasn't just the remnants of a party; it was the residue of a connection that had blossomed amidst the glamour.
As the party reached its crescendo, Y/N and Elizabeth found themselves amidst a shower of confetti. Y/N couldn't help but wonder if this enchanting encounter was the beginning of something beautiful.
As the night came to a close, Elizabeth looked at Y/N with a twinkle in her eyes, "I'm glad you came tonight." she said, a genuine smile gracing her lips.
Y/N, overwhelmed with a mix of excitement and gratitude, responded, "I'm glad I did too. This has been an incredible night."
Elizabeth, seemed reluctant to part ways, "Maybe we could do this again sometime?" she suggested, her eyes holding a hint of anticipation.
Y/N nodded, a smile lighting up her face, "I'd like that."
As they bid each other goodnight, Y/N walked away from the glitter-strewn ballroom with a heart full of hope. Little did Y/N know that the glitter on the floor wasn't just a symbol of a party's aftermath; it was a metaphor for the unexpected magic that had unfolded. From that night onward, Y/N and Elizabeth's connection continued to grow, their lives intertwined in a story that began with glitter on the floor and unfolded into a beautiful, unforeseen romance.
Candle wax and Polaroids on the hardwood floor, you and me from the night before
The soft glow of candlelight flickered around the room, casting dancing shadows on the hardwood floor. Y/N and Elizabeth sat amidst a scattering of Polaroids, capturing moments frozen in time— snapshots of their shared laughter, stolen kisses, and the everyday beauty that painted their love story.
As Y/N gazed at the Polaroids, a smile played on their lips. "Do you remember this one?" Y/N held up a photo, capturing a lazy Sunday morning when they had decided to make pancakes together.
Elizabeth's eyes sparkled with nostalgia as she looked at the image, "Of course, how could I forget?" Elizabeth replied, reaching for the photo. "That was the day we ended up having breakfast for dinner because your pancake-making skills needed improvement."
They both laughed, the memory resurfacing as vividly as if it had happened just yesterday. The warmth in the room wasn't just from the flickering candles; it was a reflection of the enduring love that had grown between them.
Y/N picked up another photograph, this one capturing a quiet moment shared on a rainy day.
"Our impromptu dance party in the living room." Y/N reminisced, their eyes locked with Elizabeth's.
"Ah, how could I not?" Elizabeth chuckled, "We danced like no one was watching, and for a moment, it felt like the world outside didn't exist. Just you, me, and the music."
The moments captured in those Polaroids held a special place in their hearts, a testament to the journey they had undertaken together. Yet, amidst the warmth and nostalgia, there was also a subtle acknowledgment of the challenges they had faced.
As a soft music playing softly in the background, Elizabeth's gaze met Y/N's with a depth of understanding. "You know," Elizabeth began, her voice gentle, "those moments, the ones in these pictures, they're precious to me. But what matters even more is the now. The present and the future we're creating together."
Y/N nodded, appreciating the sentiment behind Elizabeth's words. The journey of love wasn't just about reminiscing; it was about building and evolving, about facing the uncertainties of the future hand in hand.
"I love looking at these memories," Y/N admitted, "but I love the idea of making new ones even more. Our story isn't confined to the past; it's a living, breathing narrative that we're still writing every day."
Elizabeth reached out, taking Y/N's hand in hers. "Forevermore."
"Our love story continues, one Polaroid at a time, each frame capturing the beautiful journey we're on."
Don't read the last page, but I stay when it's hard, or it's wrong, or we're making mistakes
Their journey began years ago, with chance encounters and stolen glances evolving into shared laughter and whispered confidences. Y/N's meticulous breathed life into Elizabeth's vivacity world, and in turn, Elizabeth's stability provided a comforting anchor for Y/N.As the seasons changed, so did the dynamics of their relationship. Together, they weathered storms and reveled in the sunny days. They celebrated victories, both big and small, and navigated the challenges that life threw their way.
And today, another challenge got thrown into their way.
The apartment echoed with the sharp tones of an argument that seemed to reverberate through the walls, leaving an uncomfortable tension in its wake. Y/N paced back and forth, frustration etched across their face, while Elizabeth stood by the window, a mixture of anger and hurt in her eyes.
"Why can't you see my point of view, Y/N?" Elizabeth's voice was raised, her frustration bubbling over, "I feel like you're not even trying to understand where I'm coming from."
Y/N stopped in their tracks, a sigh escaping their lips, "I am trying, Elizabeth, but it feels like every time we talk about this, we end up going in circles. I need you to meet me halfway, to see things from my perspective too."
The room was filled with an uneasy silence, broken only by the distant sounds of the city outside. Elizabeth took a deep breath, her voice softening, "I just thought we were on the same page. I thought we wanted the same things."
Y/N turned to face Elizabeth, frustration giving way to a deep sadness. "We do want the same things, but we have different ways of getting there. Can't we find a middle ground without tearing each other apart?"
Elizabeth looked away, the weight of the argument settling heavily on her shoulders. "I don't know, Y/N. Sometimes it feels like we're just not meant to be together."
Those words hung in the air, a painful acknowledgment of the growing rift between them. Y/N felt a lump forming in their throat, but they refused to let the conversation end on such a somber note. "Elizabeth, look, I know we're going through a tough time. But I want to stay, even when it's hard. I want to work through this, find a way to make us stronger."
Elizabeth's gaze softened as she met Y/N's eyes, "But how, Y/N? How do we fix this when it feels like we're both pulling in opposite directions?"
Y/N took a step closer, reaching for Elizabeth's hand. "Maybe we start by acknowledging that we're both imperfect. We're going to make mistakes, say the wrong things, but that doesn't mean we give up on each other. It means we fight for what we have, even when it's difficult."
Elizabeth sighed, her shoulders sagging as the weight of the argument began to lift. "I just don't want us to end up resenting each other."
Y/N nodded, squeezing Elizabeth's hand gently, "Neither do I. That's why we need to communicate, be patient with each other, and remember that we're a team. We can navigate through the storms, but only if we face them together."
I want your midnights, but I'll be cleaning up bottles with you on New Year's Day
The city was alive with the anticipation of a new year, the air crisp with the promise of fresh beginnings. In the heart of it all, Y/N and Elizabeth found themselves atop a rooftop overlooking the city skyline, a canvas of twinkling lights that mirrored the anticipation in their hearts. The year had been a rollercoaster, but tonight, they decided to welcome the new beginning together.
Y/N, with her contagious enthusiasm, looked at Elizabeth with sparkling eyes. "Can you believe it's another year already?" she exclaimed, a warmth spreading through her as she took in the breathtaking view.
Elizabeth, always the anchor to Y/N's free spirit, smiled gently. "Time flies when you're in love, doesn't it?" Her hand found Y/N's, fingers intertwining like a promise.
As the night unfolded, they decided to forego the traditional crowded parties and embrace a more intimate celebration. The rooftop became their private haven, adorned with fairy lights and a cozy blanket, creating a cocoon that shielded them from the world below.
Y/N produced a small Bluetooth speaker, the soft strains of their favorite songs filling the air. The lyrics of Taylor Swift's "New Year's Day" seemed to resonate with the atmosphere around them. The skyline, the city lights, and the company of each other made it a moment that felt both infinite and fleeting.
"I want your midnights," Y/N sang along softly, her gaze locked with Elizabeth's. "But I'll be cleaning up bottles with you on New Year's Day."
Elizabeth chuckled, her eyes reflecting the love and warmth that had blossomed between them over countless midnights and New Year's Eves. "Well, I wouldn't want to be cleaning up bottles with anyone else." she replied, her thumb tracing circles on the back of Y/N's hand.
Hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you
The rain gently tapped against the window pane, creating a soothing cadence that mirrored the rhythmic beating of Y/N's heart. She sat on the edge of her bed, surrounded by the warmth of soft lamplight and the subtle scent of vanilla candles. It was a quiet evening, the kind that invited introspection, and Y/N found herself drifting into a sea of memories, each one a page in the story of her long-term relationship with Elizabeth.
Y/N couldn't help but reminisce about the love story she shared with Elizabeth. The room was adorned with photographs capturing moments, a visual timeline of their journey together. Y/N reached for a framed picture on the shelf, her fingers tracing the contours of Elizabeth's smiling face. A soft sigh escaped her lips, the memories played out like a film reel in Y/N's mind.
The lazy Sunday mornings, the spontaneous road trips, the quiet nights curled up on the couch. Each moment was a treasure, and Y/N held them close to her heart. One particularly vivid memory stood out— the night they danced under a sky full of stars.
"Dance with me, just like this, forever." Elizabeth whispered.
"Forever sounds perfect." Y/N said with a soft smile on her face.
The rhythm of their hearts matched the melody of the night, creating a symphony of love that echoed in their shared laughter and whispered promises.
The room was bathed in the soft glow of memories as Y/N continued to reflect. She recalled the day they decided to take a break—a moment that tested the strength of their love.
"We need this time, but I love you, always." Her girlfriend, Elizabeth, said.
"I love you too."
Time apart allowed them to grow individually, and eventually, they found their way back to each other. Now, as Y/N held onto those memories, she felt a surge of gratitude for the love they had shared. The phone rang, interrupting her reverie.
It was Elizabeth.
"Hey, just wanted to hear your voice."
Y/N smiled, and said, "I was just thinking about us. Our memories."
"The good or the bad?" Elizabeth joked.
"All of it. Because every memory, every moment, holds a piece of you."
"And a piece of you is eternally a part of me. I love you, Y/N."
"I love you, Lizzie"
"What memories are you holding onto right now?" Elizabeth asked.
Y/N's mind wandered back to the early days of their relationship, the days filled with the excitement of discovery and the sweet anticipation of shared dreams.
"Remember our first date? The nervous laughter, the awkward moments, and then that magical instant when we both realized we were exactly where we were meant to be?"
"Of course, I remember. I was so struck by your authenticity, by the genuine connection we shared. It was like finding a missing piece." Elizabeth replied happily.
"And our road trip to the mountains— the wind in our hair, the breathtaking views, and those late-night conversations under a blanket of stars. It felt like we were the only two people in the world."
"Those moments were magical. I still carry the echo of your laughter and the warmth of your hand in mine."
"Even in the tough times, we held onto each other. Like that rainy night when we danced in the living room, turning a simple evening into a celebration of us." Y/N recalled.
"That dance felt like a promise—a promise to weather the storms together and to find joy in the simple moments. I wouldn't trade it for anything."
Please don't ever become a stranger whose laugh I could recognize anywhere
Y/N sat by the window, the soft glow of the city lights casting a warm ambience in the room. She traced her finger along the rim of her coffee cup, lost in thought. As she sipped her coffee, memories unfolded like pages of a cherished book. Elizabeth's laughter echoed in her mind— the way it tinkled like wind chimes on a breezy day, a sound that had become synonymous with joy and comfort. Y/N couldn't imagine a world where that laughter faded, where Elizabeth became a distant echo rather than the melody that accompanied the rhythm of their lives.
Lost in her contemplation, Y/N couldn't help but think aloud. "You know, Liz," she began, turning to face her long-term girlfriend, who was immersed in a book on the other side of the room. "There's something about the idea of recognizing your laugh anywhere that's so profound. It's like a piece of home, a constant in the ever-changing symphony of life."
Elizabeth was not just a girlfriend; she was the rhythm to Y/N's melody, the familiarity that made every moment feel like home.
Elizabeth looked up from her book, a gentle smile playing on her lips. "What got you thinking about that, love?" she asked, setting her book aside and giving Y/N her full attention.
Y/N sighed, her gaze filled with a mix of nostalgia and deep affection. "It just hit me— your laughter is like a familiar melody that I never want to forget. I can close my eyes and imagine you in any room, and your laughter would stand out. It's like a part of you that's etched into my soul."
Elizabeth's eyes softened, and she walked over to Y/N, taking a seat beside her. "You know, I feel the same way about you. Your presence, your laughter, they're the constants in my life. I can't imagine ever not recognizing the sound of your joy."
"Do you ever think about us, about our future?"
Elizabeth looked thoughtful, her eyes reflecting the golden hues of the lights, "All the time," she admitted. "I can't imagine my life without you, Y/N. You're the constant melody in my world."
Y/N's heart swelled with affection. She took Elizabeth's hand, fingers entwined in a silent promise. "I wish we could freeze these moments, make them last forever. I wish for a future where we continue to recognize each other's laughter, where we remain intertwined in this beautiful symphony of 'us.' Forever doesn't seem long enough when it comes to us, Liz."
Elizabeth smiled, her gaze never leaving Y/N's. "Forever sounds perfect, doesn't it?" she leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to Y/N's forehead. "Forever sounds perfect to me, love. As long as we're together, navigating the highs and lows of life, our laughter will always be the soundtrack of our love story."
Please don't ever become a stranger whose laugh I could recognize anywhere
The city bustled with life as Y/N strolled through the vibrant streets, the echoes of laughter and snippets of conversation forming a symphony of urban living.
One day, Y/N found herself in a quaint coffee shop, seeking refuge from the midday chaos. The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans and the soft hum of conversation enveloped her. With a steaming cup in hand, she settled into a corner seat, intending to lose herself in the anonymity of the busy café. As Y/N sipped her coffee, lost in the depths of her own thoughts, a familiar sound floated through the air— the distinct, sound cut through the ambient noise— a melodic laugh, unmistakably that belonged to none other than Elizabeth.
It was a melody etched in Y/N's memory, a sound that had once been a symphony of shared joy and love. The laughter was distant, as if carried by a gentle breeze, but it resonated deeply within Y/N. She looked around, searching for the source of the laughter. Y/N's heart skipped a beat as they turned, their eyes locking onto Elizabeth across the room, her profile framed by the soft glow of the café lights. Time seemed to pause as Y/N watched, unable to tear her gaze away. Elizabeth was engrossed in conversation with a group of friends, her laughter a harmonious blend with the chatter around her. As the laughter reached Y/N's ears, a rush of emotions flooded her. It had been so long since Y/N had heard that laugh, a sound that used to bring comfort and warmth. But now, it felt like a bittersweet melody, a reminder of what once was.
Elizabeth's laughter, once intimately familiar, now seemed like a distant echo. Y/N couldn't help but be captivated by the way her eyes crinkled at the corners, the way her joy seemed to light up the entire room. Yet, the reality struck hard— there was a gap between them now, a silence that spoke volumes. Elizabeth's laugh, once an intimate melody meant only for Y/N, now echoed in a space where they were strangers once again.
As she kept watching her used to be lover, Y/N grappled with the decision of whether to approach Elizabeth or let the moment pass like ships in the night. Summoning courage, Y/N decided to break the silence. They approached Elizabeth's table, a hesitant smile on their face.
"Hey…" Y/N greeted softly.
Elizabeth looked up, her eyes widening in surprise. "Y/N," she said, a mixture of emotions playing across her features. "It's been a while." The syllables carrying the weight of a history they once shared.
"Yeah, it has," Y/N admitted, the gap of unfamiliarity stretching between them. "I couldn't help but overhear your laugh. It's… it's still as beautiful as ever." Her voice carrying a blend of nostalgia and uncertainty.
Elizabeth's smile wavered for a moment before she replied, "Thank you. How have you been?"
Y/N's response was measured, "I've been okay. Life has its ups and downs, you know."
"Yeah, I know." Elizabeth acknowledged, their gazes momentarily locking.
The café became a witness to the delicate dance of words, the ebb and flow of a conversation that teetered on the edge of rekindling familiarity and accepting the reality of becoming strangers once more.
"I heard about your new job," Elizabeth said, her attempt at small talk. "Congratulations."
"Thanks," Y/N replied, a flicker of gratitude in their eyes. "And you? How's everything on your end?"
Elizabeth hesitated for a moment before answering, "It's been a journey. Ups and downs, like you said."
Y/N nodded, a sense of shared understanding hanging in the air. "It was good seeing you." she finally said, her gaze lingering for a moment before she turned to go her separate way.
"You too…" Elizabeth replied, a mixture of emotions bubbling beneath the surface.
As Y/N left the coffee shop, the sound of Elizabeth's laughter lingered in the air, a haunting reminder of what was lost. They walked away, each step carrying the weight of a past that had shaped them, a love that had left its indelible mark, and the bittersweet knowledge that some connections, no matter how profound, could unravel and become memories of a time when two hearts beat as one.
Y/N, caught between the past and the present, couldn't shake the feeling that some melodies, once so intimately known, might now forever remain distant echoes.
And now, Elizabeth become a stranger whose laugh she could recognize anywhere.

Y/N was at a party with her friends. She wasn’t having as much fun as her friends were since she hates coming to these types of events. She really wished that she was at her apartment wrapped up in her fluffy blanket watching a movie but no she let her friends drag her out of her own apartment to yet another house party that is just filled with drunk and horny people. Y/N doesn’t know why she keeps letting her friends drag her to these parties since she always ends up by herself in a corner somewhere. Tara always seems to wonder off by herself getting completely shit faced. Anika and Mindy flirt nonstop with each other which always makes Y/N feel like a third wheel. And then you got the boys Chad, and Ethan who mostly just stay together somewhere just drinking, dancing, and looking around to find a girl to flirt with and hook up with. Well Chad is trying to hook up with a girl. Ethan is similar to Y/N as he’s not a big party type of person because of his shy and dorky personality. Also, it doesn’t help that Chad always tries to push him onto some random girl.
Y/N couldn’t take the smell of all the alcohol and the loud music so, she decided to go outside to get a fresh breath of air. When she walked outside the packed house there were a couple of groups of people, but each group had only five people just standing around talking and drinking. Y/N walked pasted the two groups and saw there was no one on the side of the house so she sighed in relief as she stood on the side of the house by herself. She leaned her back against the side of the house and looked up into the clear night sky. She closed her eyes and took a deep and calming breath. She felt a hand land on her shoulder which startled her. When she opened her eyes, she relaxed when she saw that the person that touched her shoulder was Ethan. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” Ethan said, taking his hand off her shoulder. “It’s okay, you didn’t mean to do it.” Y/N said keeping her back still up against the house.
“Why are you out here?” Y/N asked him as she folded her arms over her chest. “I could be asking you the same thing.” Ethan said which made her playfully roll her eyes. “I asked you first.” Y/N told him. “I was looking for you.” Ethan answered her question. “Your turn.” Ethan said as he leaned his shoulder on the house putting his hands in the pocket of his jeans. “I needed to get away from the noise and the smell of beer. I fucking hate the smell of beer.” Y/N told him with a disgusted look on her face.
Silence fell between the two, but it wasn’t awkward, it was comfortable silence.
“You know you shouldn’t be out here by yourself wearing that.” Ethan told her, breaking the silence. Y/N looked at him in confusion and then looked down at the outfit she was wearing. Y/N was wearing a crop top that showed some of her stomach, she had on a pair of short shorts that showed off her legs, and a pair of converse shoes. She didn’t think her outfit was too revealing. There are girls in that house that is just wearing a bra and shorts that don’t even cover their whole ass. “Why? You scared that some guy would come up to me and take me home?” Y/N asked humoring him as she stood up straight. “If I say yes, will you run away?” Ethan asked her as he used one of his hands to rub up and down her arm. “No.” Y/N answered as she moved closer to him which made him stand up straight again. She grabbed his hand and put it on her hip. They leaned in but before their lips could touch a loud ringing sound rang.
Y/N’s eyes shot open due to the ringing of her alarm clock. Y/N’s heart raced as she hit the snooze button to her alarm that just woke her up from the most intense dream she has ever had. “It was all just a dream.” Y/N whispered to herself. She just had the most realistic dream she had ever had, and it was about flirting and almost kissing one of her best friends. She has known Ethan for six months and they instantly connected since they have so much in common, but this is the first time she has had a dream like that about him and it was freaking her the fuck out.
Y/N broke out of her swirling thoughts when her phone started to ring. When Y/N looked at her phone she saw it was Tara calling her, so she picked her phone up from her nightstand and answered the call. “Hello.” Y/N said into her phone. “Hey, are you still meeting Mindy, Anika, and I at plaza on campus?” She heard Tara ask her. “Uh yeah, I’m getting dressed now.” Y/N said into the phone as she pushed her blankets off her body and rolled out of her comfy bed. “Okay, see you then!” She heard Tara tell her. After the girls said their goodbyes, the call ended.
Y/N put her phone down onto her bed and started to get ready. Hopefully spending time with her girls will keep her mind off the dream.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Y/N got on campus she went straight to the plaza where she saw Tara sitting at one of the tables, so she made her way towards her. “Hey, I got you your favorite smoothie.” Tara said, handing one of the cups to her. “Thanks.” Y/N said as she took the cup and took off her book bag setting it down onto the ground. Y/N sat down next to Tara and took a sip from her smoothie. “Are you okay?” Tara asked sensing that Y/N has something heavy on her mind. “I had a dream last night and I can’t get it out of my fucking head!” Y/N said with a heavy sigh as she sat her drink down onto the table. “What was the dream about?” Tara asked her in a curious tone.
At first Y/N was spectacle about telling her but she knew she couldn’t keep this to herself since she knew it wouldn’t help. “I had a dream where Ethan and I almost kissed.” Y/N said as Tara took a drink of her smoothie. Tara went into a coughing fit since Y/N took her by surprise. “What the fuck?” Tara said with wide eyes once she calmed down.
“Hey, what are you girls talking about?” Anika asked, walking up to the table with Mindy. “Y/N had a dream that she almost kissed Ethan.” Tara answered. “Ew, gross.” Mindy said with disgust which made Y/N roll her eyes. “I don’t know why I had that dream! It felt so real.” Y/N said with frustration in her tone. Tara shared a look with Mindy and Anika. “Are you being serious right now?” Mindy asked her with a raised eyebrow. “Yeah, why?” Y/N said looking at Mindy with a confused stare. “Y/N you have like the biggest crush on Ethan.” Anika told her in a stern tone. “What? No, I don’t!” Y/N said now with a glare on her face. “You are such a fucking liar.” Tara said shaking her head. “Ethan is just my best friend!” Y/N said in a stern tone. “Keep telling yourself that.” Mindy said with a scoff. “Y/N, you literally look at him with heart eyes.” Anika said to her. “I do not!” Y/N said with frustration which just made the girls laugh at her. “You three are fucking ridiculous!” Y/N said standing up having enough of this conversation.
She grabbed her book bag and wrapped the straps around her shoulders. She grabbed her smoothie and turned to walk away but quickly hit the brakes since she almost ran into someone. “Sorry Y/N I almost ran you over.” Ethan said. When she looked into his brown eyes the dream she had flashed through her mind. Her heart rate sped up when the part of her lips leaning in to touch his flashed through her brain. “Y/N!” She heard Ethan call her name snapping her back to reality. “You, okay?” He asked her with concern in his voice and eyes. “Y-yeah I um…” Y/N stuttered not able to finish her sentence because of her nerves. “Are you sure? You don’t seem like it.” Ethan said still worried. He went to put one of his hands onto her shoulder, but she quickly stepped back from him. “I have to get to class!” Y/N told him and quickly walked away before he could say anything.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was later in the day and Y/N still hasn’t gotten the dream out of her head. It didn’t help that the girls were telling her that she has feelings for Ethan. Yes, she is the closest to him out of everyone in the group and yes, she spends most of her time with him but it’s just friendly, nothing romantic.
Y/N decided to go to the library on campus to do some studying hoping that will help her out. She sat down at a table by herself and pulled out one of her textbooks. After about an hour Y/N has been losing focus because she keeps daydreaming about Ethan. She’s been on the same page for almost thirty minutes. “Fuck this!” Y/N hissed slamming the book closed and shoving it back into her book bag. She stood up wrapping the straps around her shoulders and made her way out of the library. She doesn’t know what she can do to get Ethan out of her head.
“Hey Y/N!” She heard someone calling her name behind her. When she turned around, she saw Ethan jogging up to her. When her Y/E/C eyes met his brown ones, her heart rate sped up just like it did this morning. She wanted to run away but something was telling her to stay. “Ethan um what’s up?” Y/N said in a nervous tone which he quickly noticed. “Are you okay?” Ethan asked her, worrying about her again. “Yeah, w-why do y-you ask?” Y/N stuttered which made her curse at herself. “Because of the way you’ve been acting.” Ethan told her. “Why are you acting all nervous around me?” He asked her.
Y/N was debating on if she should tell him about her dream and that she can’t stop thinking about him or if she should keep it to herself. Ethan is the person she trusts the most and he has told her multiple times that she can tell him anything. But this time is totally different. What if she tells him about her dream and it ruins what she has with him. She doesn’t want to lose him.
“Y/N, you are really worrying me.” Ethan said, breaking her out of her thoughts for the second time that day. Before Y/N could say anything Ethan out his hand on her arm which made her think back the part of the dream where he did exactly that. “I need to go!” Y/N said quickly, taking his hand off her arm and ran away before he could say anything else.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A couple days have passed, and Y/N can’t get Ethan out of her head. She had two more romantic dreams about him and one of them got pretty streamy. After the steamy dream that’s when she realized that the girls were right, she does have feelings for Ethan. Ever since their encounter outside the library Y/N has been avoiding him. Y/N’s feelings have been taking over and she’s scared that if she tells him he will end their friendship.
It was Friday night and of course Y/N let the girls drag her out to a frat party at one of the big frat houses. They knew that she had had a stressful week and knew that she deserved a night out. Y/N decided to wear something simple and not revealing at all. She was wearing a black tank top with a dark red flannel over it and black jeans with her black converse. Y/N was talking with Tara till she ran out of her drink, so she excused herself to the kitchen to get more. Y/N isn’t a hard drinker since she doesn’t like the taste or smell of beer so she usually just drinks anything fruity.
She sat her empty cup down on the counter in front of all the bottles. She saw that what she was drinking the bottle was completely empty. “Shit!” She hissed with a sigh. “Everything alright?” She heard an unknown voice say to her. When she looked over, she saw a tall guy with platinum blonde hair and had in blue contact lens in that were super obvious. She could also tell this guy must dye his hair blonde every single week. “There is no more of my favorite drink.” Y/N answered his question. “Anything here you suggest I try?” Y/N asked in a curious tone really needing to feel a buzz. “Oh yeah you gotta try this, it’s a party favorite.” The guy said picked up a bottle that read Sangria on it. He took her cup and poured her half a cup of the liquid. Y/N took the cup and took a drink of the liquid which burned her throat since this was her first-time having Sangria. “Wow, that’s strong.” Y/N said looking down at the rest of the liquid in the cup.
Right when she looked back up at him, he was leaning in to kiss her which made her quickly step back from him. “What the fuck are you doing?” Y/N asked him in a stern tone. “Going in to kiss a beautiful girl.” The guy answered by going in to kiss her again but again she stepped back from him. “I’m not going to kiss you! I don’t even fucking know you!” Y/N told him in a snappy tone as she glared at him. “Please! I am so fucking horny!” The guy said to her in a begging tone. “Oh, I see. You just want to get your dick wet.” Y/N said which made the guy nod his head multiple times. Y/N splashed the rest of the Sangria in her cup on the crouch of the guy’s pants. “There, now you got your dick wet.” Y/N snapped slamming the cup down onto the floor and walked away.
She walked outside of the house since she needed to get some fresh air and cool herself off. She walked onto the side of the house where there was no one. “Fuck!” Y/N hissed leaning her back on the house as she ran both of her hands down her face. Her stress-free night just got ruined by some horny asshole. “Y/N.” She heard a soft voice say her name. “Why are you out here Ethan?” Y/N asked taking her hands off her face. “I saw what happened in the kitchen.” Ethan said which made her roll her eyes. “I was about to go over there and help you but once I saw you splash your drink on him, I stayed back with Chad till I saw you walk out.” Ethan told her which just earned him a nod from her. She was avoiding all contact with him. She just kept staring forward.
“Y/N, what’s going on?” Ethan asked, starting to finally having enough of her recent behavior. “What?” Y/N asked looking over at him. “Why have you been avoiding me?” Ethan asked her in a stern tone. “Did I do something wrong?” He asked which immediately broke her heart. It hurt her that he thinks he did something wrong which is no where near that. “Ethan no, you did nothing wrong.” Y/N told him with soft eyes as she stood up straight. “Then can you please tell me what’s been bothering you.” Ethan said to her with a sigh.
Y/N knew she couldn’t keep it in any longer, so she put both of her hands on both of his cheeks and brought him in for a kiss. The kiss took Ethan by surprise, but he returned it which made Y/N surprise. As they kissed Ethan’s hands sat on her waist while her hands stayed on his now flustered cheeks. They pulled away from each other when they needed air. “Okay I’m not complaining but why did you kiss me?” Ethan asked once he caught his breath. “Because I have feelings for you and that was my way of telling you.” Y/N told him as she moved her hands from his cheeks to his shoulders. “Really? Wow that makes me feel so relieved since I have had feelings for you for a couple months now.” Ethan told her, which made her laugh. “Yeah, it three dreams I had about you to make me realize that I have feelings for you that are more than friendly.” Y/N confessed finally letting it all out to him. “Oh, so you dream about me.” Ethan said as his lips curved into a smirk. “I guess you are the man of my dreams.” Y/N said with a giggle which also made Ethan laugh.
“Do you want to ditch this place and go to your apartment?” Ethan asked her in a curious tone. “Hell yeah!” Y/N answered him with an excited smile. Y/N texted Tara letting her know that she’s going back to her apartment with Ethan and then made her way home with him for a fun night.
Jumping on the transmogrification bandwagon.
How would the three bachelors react when they find out their s/o is a dragon? Maybe their draconic s/o can let them experience flight in the form of their s/o letting them ride on their back? (Go with whatever you think works best in terms of what kind of dragon they have as an s/o!)
I have to admit, I spent so much time reading about dragons on the wiki and I couldn't decide on just one type of dragon 👀
Believe it or not, I'm low-key obsessed with dragons, I have so many more ideas for the bachelors' and their dragon lovers too. Thank you for the request!
The bachelors finding out their lover is a dragon
Dammon
Getting closer to Dammon is something that happened naturally
As with many other steel dragons, you'd made a successful life living among humanoids within baldurs gate
After years of building your own personal treasure hoard, a collection of buildings and businesses, you were approched by a tiefling refugee
He'd come to you with the proposal of using your long abandoned forge, a home you'd always had trouble keeping filled
It was an easy decision to rent the building to the charasmatic tiefling, even offering him a small discount
You'd find yourself at the property much more often now, popping in on your way past to check in on your new favourite blacksmith
Dammon himself was always excited to see you, happy to set down his tools and keep you in conversation for an hour or two
However, it was only when you and the tiefling were in that uncertain position between friends and dating that you decided it was time to reveal your true nature to him
It was out in the mountains near baldurs gate, where you'd originally grown up, that you spread your wings again and showed Dammon who you really were
It would be a lie to say he wasn't surprised, Dammon was close to a heart attack when he saw your wings and tail unfurl as you grew to tower above him
You both had a very in-depth conversation after the revelation, discussing the lifestyle and expectations a dragon has compared to a 'mere' tiefling
It doesn't scare the blacksmith away though, if anything he's excited to learn more about you
Dammon will definitely gift you lots of pretty jewellery he's made, including pieces that fit you while in your true dragon form
Zevlor
You first met Zevlor when he was still a general within the hellrider ranks
Like many bronze dragons, you never knew when to leave well enough alone, so joining a humanoid army seemed a good idea
You had been with the hellriders for years with them being none the wiser, you and Zevlor bonding over shared ideals
You both had a strong sense of camaraderie and justice, often finding yourself in each others company and soon in a romantic relationship
When Elturel fell however, you had been in your lair, only able to hope and pray that your darling paladin would be returned to you safe
And he was returned, but you'd hardly been able to reunite with him before the tieflings were driven from the city
It only made sense in your mind to join them, despite appearing very human to the naked eye
It was honestly hard to hide your true form as the group travelled
The water tempted you to swim or make a new lair, the endless fighting would've been easier if you'd let yourself spread your wings
It was when you'd reached the grove you also made it to your breaking point
Soon, Zevlor found himself standing on the sand of the Sword Coast watching as a bronze dragon appeared before him in your stead
He really has no words, hardly believing his own eyes as his lover reveals something from his wildest dreams
Zevlors also seen many things and met many people within his life, but this takes him some adjustment
There's also a few discussions that happen between you, and you greatly flustered the poor man when you revealed bronze dragons mate for life
It's certainly a self esteem boost for the older tiefling to know such a noble and loyal being has chosen him out of any possible suitors
Zevlor is also the type to insist on helping you clean and polish your scales, taking care of you even when you're ten times his size
Rolan
A small part of Rolan had always been surprised by your interest in him
The two of you meeting when he and his siblings were in their teens, despite you being seemingly the same age you'd always come across more intelligent and poised than others
He'd always found himself drawn to your company, the two of you easily engaging in conversation for hours at a time
The fact you always smelled like a fresh, rainy morning didn't hurt either
When Rolan and his siblings were driven from Elturel, you were all too happy to join them
Anyone who dared to try and harm the trio instead found a furious silver dragon in human form
The group of you were inseparable, and you'd spent so much time together that you were almost scared to reveal your true self to Rolan
It'd been so long, and anyone could tell that the fledgling wizard was a fussy man
It was only when your group had reached the Shadowlands that Rolan discovered your true form
The mere thought of the three tieflings being taken from you was enough to enrage you to the point of stretching your wings and desperately taking hold of the closest one to you, Rolan
He himself was in absolute shock, between the giant dragon fighting against the ambushers that managed to make off with Lia and Cal
The wizard was distraught, and spent much of his time in the last light inn drunk and angry, even you were a victim of his temper
He was hardly pleased at the secrets you'd been keeping from him
It was only when Cal and Lia were returned, the two fawning over the fact you're a dragon, that Rolan actually pays proper attention to his best friend and crush being a dragon
He has endless questions, knowing you're a long lived species with a great array of knowledge, it's like a neverending interview
He appreciates having a study partner, and then later lover, that can keep up with and even surpass him
Having you around keeps things interesting for Rolan, and you provide him with a sense of security little else can
