Femme Fatale Beauty Playbook: Tips & Tricks To Feel Clean, Confident & Seductive Daily
Some beauty tips and tricks to feel your best daily.
Starting off with some miscellaneous advice: Coconut oil is the most versatile ingredient – for your hair, skin, nails, and even down there. Find your signature scent (apply it to your clothes instead of your skin whenever possible). Sugar scrubs are the answer to most flakiness or bumps on your skin. B vitamins, vitamin D, and omega-3s are essential to healthy hair, skin, and nails.
Hope this helps xx
Hair:
Shampoo your skull, condition the rest: Focus shampoo on your roots and work it through your scalp; concentrate conditioner on the ends and work your way up until you reach the base of your skull - around your upper ear lobe.
Always comb, never brush, your hair when wet: Gently use a wide-tooth comb, from root to tip, on wet hair to prevent breakage.
Use a special towel to dry your hair: My favorite is from Crown Affair (pricey for what it is but worthwhile in the long-term), but a Turbie Twist from the drugstore works infinitely better than a regular towel that weighs down and causes frizzy, damaged hair
Always use a heat protection spray before blow drying or straightening/curling your hair: (Briogeo and Oribe products are my love for all haircare products, including their blowdry creams – also love R +Co. for a heat protection styling mist).
Choose your hair ties wisely: Use seamless or silk hair ties exclusively to prevent breakage or awkward creases on your hair. Wear a silk scrunchie if you prefer. These hair ties from Amazon are my holy grail (only $7 for 100 hair ties!), and they come in a portable ziplock bag.
Skin:
Always use a disposable cloth when washing your face: Regular towels store bacteria and can cause breakouts too easily. These facial wipes from Amazon are my holy grail.
Wear sunscreen daily: Yes, even when you spend all day indoors. UV rays can interact with your skin through windows, too.
Niacinamide, Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid, & Tea Tree Oil are among the few skincare ingredients almost everyone should consider incorporating into their skincare routine.
Learn the correct order to apply the products in your skincare routine: Cleanser, Toner, Serum, Eye Cream, Spot Treatment, Moisturizer, Sunscreen (or Retinol/Skin Oil at night).
Remember: From a dermatologist's perspective, your face starts (or ends) at your nipples. So, ensure you're cleansing, exfoliating, and applying sunscreen daily to your neck, chest, and décolletage to keep your skin smooth, youthful, and well-hydrated.
Vaseline is a great (affordable) alternative to traditional eye creams.
Sugar scrub your facial hair for a more gentle alternative to waxing (Combine sugar, lemon, and water). Laser hair removal, especially under your arms and your arms/legs is life-changing.
Follow up a warm shower with a dry brush and coconut oil for smoother, firmer skin.
Always apply a hydrating lip balm, mask, or Vaseline, hand cream, and moisturizer to your feet before going to sleep.
Layer complementary scents. Ensure the scents of body wash, lotion, and perfume work well together and don't clash.
Makeup:
Learn your skin undertones and educate yourself on color theory (I can share a post on this on the Post+ feed if you want some more educational content on these types of topics – I write about them for a living!).
Test any foundation, concealer, or face powder on your wrists, too.
Don't forget to color-match your bronze and blush: They can appear orange or muddy if you don't find a product with the correct shade or undertones for your skin type.
Invest in products that go on your face, brow products, and eyeliners. Great mascaras and lip products are easy to find at a drugstore or relatively cheap (I suggest Covergirl and d NYX, respectively).
Apply concealer in a triangle; don't dot it around your eyes for better coverage.
If you have oily skin (or it's humid outside), apply powder before your liquid/cream products. Set them again with a light powder to lock the color in.
Apply mascara from tip to base for the best lashes of your life: One coat on the tip, another from middle to tip, and the last coat from base to tip.
In a pinch, use a fragrance-free moisturizer and a q-tip to remove excess makeup (no more raccoon eyes).
Use a light nude or white eyeshadow underneath your brow to make them appear more defined.
Apply face powder under your eyes to help the eyeliner on your waterline last longer.
Create a simple daily makeup routine formula: 1 skin coverage (foundation/concealer), 1 skin color (a favorite blush or bronzer), brows, mascara, an eye-definer (eyeliner or shadow), and a signature "your lips but better" lip shade (1-2 shades deeper or lighter than your natural lip color): This formula provides you the basics, so you never have an excuse not to put yourself together for the day (5-10 minute routine here).
Discover your day-to-night hero product: Always keep a slightly deeper lipstick, a smoky eyeshadow, or liquid liner in your bag to transition your day look into the evening with one portable product.

Skincare Tips 💎 For my minimal babes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My own skincare routine is only a few steps long, and now that I’ve learned so much about the skin, 4 steps is what most of us benefit the most from
Hydrating Cleanser
Serum (vitamin C)
Moisturizer / Lip Balm
Sunscreen
Depending on your current skin health, more can be better but sometimes less is the best.
Additional add-on’s
Retinoid (prescribed, anything else is not stable or strong enough to truly make a difference)
Toner
Face mist
Eye cream
Spot treatment products
Face/Sheet masks
Gentle exfoliate / Lip scrub
Body Balms / Oils
Makeup remover (oil / balm based)
💎 Always apply to your entire face (lips and ears included) , less is more except for sunscreen — more is always best.
💎 Don’t forget your neck, hands and even go further down to the girls
💎 Never apply on a dirty face, and be gentle
💎 Morning and night, always. But reapply sunscreen and moisturize through the day!
💎 Anything above 30€ you’re praying for the brand. Most of what’s developed is essentially the same.
💎 Invest is monthly facials (once or twice us enough)
Have fun and stay soft 🧘🏾‍♀️

Reveal Your Bollywood Glow: Unveiling Celebrity-Inspired Skincare Secrets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This blog is going to be all about Indian & bollywood inspired products and skincare tips. If you also want a blog separately about Indian natural and authentic skincare or hair care I'll surely make it. 🫶
Know Your Skin Type : Identify your skin type - whether it's oily, dry, combination, or sensitive - to tailor your skincare routine effectively.
Cleanse Like a Star : Use a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil or Neutrogena to remove dirt and makeup and a oil cleaner is a must if you wear makeup daily. Opt for micellar water for a quick and effective cleanse on busy days. (But I don't really recommend it).
Exfoliate for Radiance : Incorporate a mild exfoliator like St. Ives Apricot Scrub or The Body Shop's Vitamin C Glow-Revealing Liquid Peel to slough off dead skin cells and reveal glowing skin. And my personal favorite coffee scrub from The Bombay shaving company. Don't exfoliate more than twice a week.
Hydration Is Key : Use a hydrating toner such as Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray for an instant boost of hydration or toner + mist from pilgrim works like magic (my fav 😭).
Targeted Treatments : Include a serum with ingredients like hyaluronic acid (for hydration) or vitamin C (for hyperpigmentation) if you are under 17 or 18 like me don't use vitamin c or if you want to use in very less %, I use 2% kojic acid for my uneven skin tone from pilgrim, it's very begniner friendly. (Always consult a dermatologist for your skincare don't go around seeing videos on insta and YouTube believing them). I recommend Minimalist if you want chemical bases serums.
If you are above 23 or 25 Incorporate a retinol-based cream like RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream for anti-aging benefits. (Got this tip from mumma for y'all 😭✨️)
Sun Protection Essentials : Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, such as La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Light Fluid, to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. More affordable and effective sunscreens from brands — dot and key, aqualogica, Dr. Seth and wish care.
Overnight Nourishment: Use a hydrating overnight mask like Laneige Water Sleeping Mask to replenish moisture while you sleep. Incorporate a facial oil like The Ordinary's Rose Hip Seed Oil for added nourishment and radiance.
DIY Treatments Inspired by Bollywood:
- Try a turmeric, gram flour and yogurt face mask inspired by Priyanka Chopra for glowing skin.
- Use aloe vera gel like Deepika Padukone for its soothing and hydrating properties. (MY fav bolly actress btw 😭❤️)
Lifestyle Tips for Healthy Skin : Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day people are not stupid that they are going around telling you to drink water, IT'S A MUST!. Incorporate antioxidant-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and green tea into your diet for overall skin health.
Some of my fav brands (mostly available in india) : dot and key, Foxtale, pilgrim, minimalist, st. Botanica, organic harvest and aqualogica!
Fav brand released by a bollywood actress: Hyphen by Kriti Sanon, their lip balm can even beat Rhode's lip balm istg- and their sunscreen 🔛🔝.
Channel your inner Bollywood diva and achieve a radiant, flawless skin with these skincare tips and product recommendations. Let your skin glow like a star!

Ok first of all thank you so much for writing the fics and taking your time. I’m honestly so tired of other people and not keeping their opinions to themselves… ignore them your perfect in my eyes ✨
Also ima need you to drop more of your skincare routine/ products because I’ve never had my skin so 🤌🏼
That moisturizer you recommended to someone else for dry skin is saving me 😩
HI BABYYYY
Thank you my darling angel 😭 ngl this made me feel better — it’s been hell at work this week so I haven’t written a ton (plus, y’know, dealing with bullshit).
IM SO GLAD MY RECS HELPED!! I got another anon asking about my skincare routine and it got buried, so I’ll re-share — especially since I’ve made a few changes!
AM routine
Garnier’s micellar water to cleanse (pink cap — I think the blue and green leave a residue and I don’t like it)
Byoma’s balancing face mist
Natrium’s niaciminacide acid serum OR vitamin C (never together!)
Cosrx snail mucin essence (this is a winter step, just to make sure my skin stays nice and hydrated)
Byoma gel eye cream (the de-puffing one)
Byoma gel moisturizer
Beauty of joseon sunscreen (SPF 50)
PM routine
I start by double cleansing — it’s SUPER important to double cleanse with an oil-based cleanser especially if you wear sunscreen!!
Cleanser (1) — natrium’s oil balm/makeup remover with a warm washcloth
Cleanser (2) — I alternate every other day with youth to the people’s superfood cleanser (I just got it and I’m obsessed) and panoxyl (10%). I’ve also used versed’s jelly milky cleanser on non-panoxyl days, and I love that, too!
Byoma’s balancing face mist toner OR beauty of joseon’s ginseng toner (I alternate)
Natrium’s hyaluronic acid serum (apply while face is still wet from toner — otherwise it won’t absorb properly!)
*optional* face mask — usually a Dr Jart’s sheet mask, 2-3 times a week
Versed’s gentle pressed retinol serum
Cosrx snail mucin essence
Cosrx snail mucin 92 all in one cream
Versed rich skin soak moisturizer
An eye cream from No 7 but idk which one it is — brightening??
And I sleep on a silk pillow case! That helps with skin stuff (and hair)
happy skincare!

With Nothing But Your T-Shirt On | Daniel Ricciardo x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You try to pamper Daniel but it quickly descends into playful sex
Warnings: 18+, oral (f receiving), unprotected sex
Words: 1.5k
a/n: this is what I daydream about when I’m spending like 20 minutes doing skin care each day, I think it makes it much more interesting. Playful Daniel is all I want in my life tbh.
You got changed almost as soon as you got back to the hotel, sticking one of Daniel’s t-shirts on. You loved how oversized and comfy they were and you also loved how he looked at you whenever you wore them. You headed into the bathroom to start getting ready for bed. Even when you were tired, you did your best to follow your skin care routine. You had spent way too many years struggling with your skin to not follow the steps that you now knew worked. You rub your cleanser into your skin in circular motions, gently removing all your makeup. You lean over the sink, turning on the tap and splashing the water onto your face to wash it off. You stand back up again, looking into the mirror over the sink as you pat the water off your face with a towel. You see Daniel’s eyes on you in the mirror.
“How long does all this crap take,” he asks, “because seeing you in my t-shirt has given me some ideas.”
“It takes a while, and I’m not skipping it. It distresses me that you get all hot and sweaty under a helmet all day and you don’t take care of your skin after,” you say firmly.
“Show me what you do then,” he whines, knowing you’re probably right.
“Oh please let me do it on you, please please please,” you say excitedly. The opportunity to actually put something good on his skin is too good to miss.
Daniel reluctantly agrees. He walks over to you and lifts you up. He places you down on the bathroom countertop, standing between your knees. He presses a kiss to your lips before letting you put all your lotions and potions on his face.
“Okay so we have to double cleanse. I already did my first one but we can do yours now,” you say, starting to rub some of your oil cleanser onto his face.
“Why can’t we just do it once,” he asks.
“Because one is to wash off all the sweat and dirt and pollution from your skin so when you do it the second time, the product can actually get to your pores,” you tell him.
Daniel shrugs and washes his face in the sink. You both repeat the process before you move on to the next step. You soak a cotton pad with some toner and wipe it across his face.
“Close your eyes,” you instruct him as you spray his face with a hydrating mist.
“Ah,” he jumps in surprise as the spray hits him, “what the fuck, I thought this was supposed to be relaxing.”
You laugh at his reaction as you rub the next product into his skin.
“It’s not funny,” he smirks, sticking his finger into your pot of moisturiser and smearing it on your nose.
“Well that’s too much, we will have to share,” you smile as you rub your face against his, spreading the cream all over the two of you.
You’re both laughing at this point, covered in different products as the skin care routine goes down the drain.
“Let me finish it,” you whine as he steps back from you.
“You’ll have to catch me first,” he says playfully as he turns and disappears out the bathroom.
You hop down off the side and run after him, following the sound of his giggles. You look round the bedroom and are surprised when you can’t see him.
“Gotcha,” Daniel jumps out from behind the door, snatching you up in his arms and throwing you over his shoulder, causing you to scream.
Being over his shoulder means your t-shirt has ridden up, leaving your ass exposed in your lace panties. Daniel playfully smacks your ass as he carries you over to the bed. He drops you down into it, which makes you bounce on the mattress with the force. You’re both still laughing as he crawls over you placing little kisses over your neck that tickle. You wriggle around trying to get free as he has you pinned underneath him but you quickly realise that you’re stuck and look up at him.
You lean up to kiss him and although it still feels playful, there is more heat to it than the previous kisses.
“Do you wear my t-shirts on purpose to drive me crazy,” he asks, moving the fabric up past your ribs.
“They are very comfy but I do like teasing you as well,” you admit, your breath catching in your throat as his hands graze over your tits.
Daniel pulls the t-shirt up over your head leaving you in just your panties. Your bra had come off the moment you came in the door, no one could tell you those things were comfy. Daniel kisses down your neck, pausing to leave some light bruises on the curve of your breasts before kissing down your stomach. He reaches the waistband of your panties and he kisses the thin material that is covering your pussy.
“Does my face feel smooth between your legs now I’m all moisturised,” he jokes.
You can’t help but laugh, reminding him that his stubble means his face never feels smooth between your legs.
“Never mind double cleansing, how about a double orgasm,” he winks at you.
“Why can’t we just do it once,” you say, mimicking his voice from when he said those words earlier.
“Well I never thought I’d hear you say that,” he laughs, making you roll your eyes at him as you try and hide your smile.
“Obviously joking babe, just in case that wasn’t clear,” you say, the thought of him taking you seriously worried you slightly.
“Don’t worry, I know you can’t resist me,” Daniel smirks, sliding your panties down your legs.
He kisses at the skin on your thighs again before moving to your clit. His tongue flicks against it, sending tingles up and down your body. Your hands reach forward, tangling your fingers in his curly hair and guiding him closer to you. He continues working on your clit while he runs a finger along your entrance, gathering up your wetness. You moan, starting to get a bit frustrated with his agonisingly slow movements. He slides one finger into you, curving it up gently.
“More please,” you breathe out.
Daniel follows instructions and slips another finger into you, picking up the pace. He does everything that he knows you like, making you moan and grind your hips against his fingers. He softly hums against your clit and the gentle vibrations tip you over the edge. You cum on his fingers as he lets you ride out your high. As you start to catch your breath, Daniel moves up so he’s face to face with you again. He puts the two fingers in your mouth, making you taste yourself. You suck and swirl your tongue against them making him groan.
Daniel had already been in just his boxers since you started getting ready for bed so you only had one item of clothing between you and what you wanted most. You pulled them down, letting his hard cock spring up. Daniel rolls onto his back, pulling you with him so you’re now straddling him.
“Smooth,” you say smiling at him.
“That’s me baby,” he grins.
He teases you, rubbing the tip of his erection against your clit that was still sensitive from your first orgasm. He guides himself to be in line with your entrance and you slowly lower yourself on to him. You both moan out, your head falling back as your hips meet. Daniel fills you up entirely and you begin to rock your hips back and forth. Your clit rubs against his pubic bone making your breath quicken. Daniel has one hand on your ass, guiding your movements and another rubbing your breast, rolling your hardened nipple between his fingers. You can feel him everywhere and it makes it seem like electricity is running through your body. You move your hips faster, your next orgasm fast approaching. Daniel’s hands move to your hips, pushing you down onto him and you know he is close too.
“Fuuuck,” he moans, loving watching you ride him like this.
“I’m close,” you whisper, placing your hands on his chest to steady yourself.
You maintain your rhythm and soon your orgasm is rippling through your body. Your eyes roll back as the feeling of pleasure overwhelms you. You clench around Daniel’s cock, making him cum inside you. He presses his head back into the pillow and you press wet kisses to his exposed neck as his high washes over him.
You stay like that for a while, his dick still inside you as you both recover.
“Nice of you to do some of the work for once,” Daniel teases, catching his breath.
“You’re an idiot,” you laugh, the playful mood that started all this quickly returning.
You lift yourself off and lay on the bed beside him.
“Do I look 10 years younger yet?” he asks.
“It’s moisturiser baby not magic.”

I'm trying to put together a basic set of beauty products to keep as staples (I don't think I can afford to try a lot of products and alternate between them) so like a basic skincare regime of a cleanser, serum, toners and then basic foundation, concealer, blush, lip gloss, and then perfume and so on but I have no idea where to start, there's so much information on the internet that seems to contradict itself and they all seem like ads. I've heard people say luxury items are worth it for the quality and I don't mind investing in them but again, so many brands 💖 P.S Thank you for your help!
omgggg i loveee this question and im going to try my best to answer it without oversharing or being over the top 😭 but i would say as a psa that u shouldn't feel pressure to try and have a full routine with at least one of every product in it like u might see on the internet bc its ultimately what works for u and personally like my skincare routine doesn't include toners or any face masks atm and my makeup routine consists of foundation, blush, a lip product and maybe mascara, kohl, eyeshadow if i'm feeling fancy (i've never tried using powder, contour and so on simply bc i too don't know where to start)
anyway as for recommendations 👀 i hope these are helpful
skincare
first! cerave hydrating cleanser, my skin gets really tight and dry usually after washing my face to the point where when the skin stretches, it feels like its cracking but i've noticed a massive *good* difference when using this!
and also la roche posay's retinol + hyaluronic acid combo!! i didnt really have anti aging goals in mind at the ripe age of 20 but i use it to for like uneven skin tone and to make my skin seem less dull, u kinda need a strict regimen to stick to it and a LOT of sunscreen (and i mean a LOTTTT bc going into direct sunlight with retinol can lead to burns and i use the anti helios la roche posay one but my sister uses cancer council and says its just as good if not better)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but also i actually really recently bought the ordinary's vitamin c suspension and i've heard glowing reviews of the product too but i cant speak much for its long term effects just yet bc i havent used it enough but with vitamin c, u shouldn't wear retinol soo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and then i top it all off with plenty of moisturiser like the cerave ones!!! luckily with these products i dont get pilling 🫡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
makeup/perfume
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
since u said u don't mind investing in luxury products, i love the chanel foundation with the beads bc it feels JUST like a moisturiser and not like a thick, cakey texture for me. its super smooth and light and a very little goes a long way for my whole face! but it IS pricey ($117 aud at least) so there's that! also i've been using the dior lip oil for months in shade 001 and it doesn't have a crazy strong colour but it lasts all day for me and smells super good! and for perfume: sol de janeiro has THEEEE best perfumes/mists of all time for me, my sister has the one that smells like pistachios and caramel and i got this one thats meant to be: 'Pink dragonfruit, lychee essence, jasmine, hibiscus, sheer vanilla and sun musk.' and it lasts hours im telling u!
for the rest, i honestly use my lip product as blush 😭 like i got the rum raisin lipstick and i just put in my cheeks and temple and it looks great for me 😭
DISCLAIMER 🚨: if i remember right, dior is on the list of brands to boycott to support palestine (i got mine a while ago but i wouldn't really go for a recent purchase from them) but there are dupes and similar lip oils out there that don't defend illegal occupation :)

Hi! Do you have an easy peasy guide to skincare and hygiene for depressed dummies? 😃
Hi love! Sharing a high-level, basic skincare routine and hygiene tips to follow:
Morning Skincare:
Gentle facial cleanser & water
Vitamin C serum + hyaluronic acid
Facial moisturizer
Sunscreen designed for your face (at least SPF 50 – I think that this La Roche Posay SPF 60 choice is the best option for the money)
Apply sunscreen to your hands, neck, and any parts that will be exposed to the sun (Don't forget to use an SPF lip balm, too!)
Nighttime Skincare:
Remove any makeup (I love these Simple makeup wipes!)
Gentle cleanser
Toner/serums (only use AHAs like glycolic acid or lactic acid and retinol/retinoids at night, using them during the day can increase chances of sunburning)
Facial moisturizer (can be heavier than the one you use during the day, especially in the winter or if you have dry skin)
Spot treatments (if needed)
Eye cream
Skincare Extras:
Exfoliate your face 2-3 times/week (I love the First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads but the CeraVe Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser is a great drugstore option!)
Always use disposable cloths instead of a regular towel on your face to reduce bacteria, breakouts, or infections (I love the Clean Skin Club ones!)
Exfoliate your body 2-3 times a week using a dry brush or a scrub (I love the CeraVe Salicylic Acid Body Cleanser, but my favorite is the OUAI Sugar Scrub) and follow it up with a hydrating body moisturizer
Always exfoliate and moisturize before shaving, waxing, or other body hair removal treatments (look up the timeframes for the type of hair removal you choose)
Scrub under your nails daily with antibacterial soap & water and a nail brush
Vaseline is a versatile staple item that can be used as an affordable alternative to an eye cream, cuticle oil, lip balm, or hand cream, and can be used to treat any dry, cracked, or rough patches on the skin
Use a hand lotion and moisturizer on your feet with socks every night before bed
Aloe vera and coconut oil are great skincare staples to keep on hand to soothe burns, irritation, or inflamed skin
Haircare Tips:
Shampoo your skull, condition the rest: Focus shampoo on your roots and work it through your scalp; concentrate conditioner on the ends and work your way up until you reach the base of your skull - around your upper ear lobe
Always comb, never brush, your hair when wet: Gently use a wide-tooth comb, from root to tip, on wet hair to prevent breakage
Use a special towel to dry your hair: My favorite is from Crown Affair (pricey for what it is but worthwhile in the long-term), but a Turbie Twist from the drugstore works infinitely better than a regular towel that weighs down and causes frizzy, damaged hair
Always use a heat protection spray before blow drying or straightening/curling your hair: (Briogeo and Oribe products are my love for all haircare products, including their blowdry creams – also love R +Co. for a heat protection styling mist)
Choose your hair ties wisely: Use seamless or silk hair ties exclusively to prevent breakage or awkward creases on your hair. Wear a silk scrunchie if you prefer. These hair ties from Amazon are my holy grail (only $7 for 100 hair ties!), and they come in a portable ziplock bag
Use dryer sheets to minimize hair frizz and water or Vaseline to slick back fly-aways
Other Hygiene Tips:
Brush teeth, floss, & skincare (2x/day); Get a water pick, too, if you can!
Use a toothbrush cover at all times; Close the toilet seat before flushing
Wash your body towels at least once a week
Wash your pillowcases weekly and sheets at least once every 2 weeks
Throw out and replace your mascara every 2-3 months
Change your underwear and socks daily or more after sweating/working out
For those who menstruate, change your pad or tampon every 3-4 hours
Vulva owners: Use a fragrance-free soap on the outside, only water to clean the inside – no fancy wipes or douching. Wipe front to back!
Wear cotton underwear whenever possible; Find a fabric that breathes
Have a similar buttocks cleansing routine that you do for your face to prevent embarrassing zits or acne
Don't shave between waxes; Use tweezers if necessary a few days after your hair removal treatment
Always wash your hands before touching your face
Hope this helps xx

i wanted to share my skincare routine with y'all. i'm open to comments, suggestions, and questions. ♡
A.M routine
❀ step 1: cleanser
DHC's hatomugi face wash. i think it's really gentle on the skin and perfect for sensitive skin.
❀ step 2: lotion
DHC's hatomugi lotion. it makes my skin feel hydrated in the morning.
❀ step 3: milk
DHC's hatomugi milk. it's a nice silky cream and lightweight.
❀ step 4: sunscreen
DHC's brightening sunscreen for my face. it's (very) matte and a little difficult to spread at first. now i put it on my face by sections, which seems to help with the spreading. (does leave a white cast tho)
neutrogena's dry touch sunscreen for my neck. it's easier to use that than the DHC one. easily absorbed.
supergoop!'s sunscreen lip balm. it still moisturizes my lips despite the sunscreen.
P.M routine
❀ step 1: cleansing oil
DHC's deep cleansing oil. feel like i really get all of my day's worth of impurities out. also great for removing makeup.
❀ step 2: cleanser
peach & lily's power calm gel cleanser. it's refreshing and cooling. i think it's good to use right after oil cleansing.
❀ step 3: toner
p&l's good acids pore toner. it's also refreshing. gentle exfoliant.
❀ step 4: spot treatment
clean & clear's acne spot treatment gel. it dries out my blemishes, making them quicker to go away.
the crème shop's hydrocolloid acne patches on white heads as it easily takes them out. i use them right after i apply toner. i don't use them on the same spot at the same time.
❀ step 5: serum
p&l's glass skin refining serum. i feel like this is the key to glass skin. really makes my skin glowy.
❀ step 5: vitamin c*
RoC's vitamin c serum. have noticed that it has made my skin brighter and glowy. it's slightly sticky but once dry, it's fine.
when i use this, i'm replacing the serum.
❀ step 5: masks
variety of the crème shop's products. i use their essence sheet masks, how do eye look? patches, other hydrogel eye patches, hydrogel lip patch, hydrogel forehead patch.
i don't use these all at once. i'd do the eye, lip, and forehead patch together or skip one and use the other two. i use these on a sunday (my reset day), but not every week (budgeting).
when i use these, i'm replacing the serum.
❀ step 6: cream
p&l's matcha pudding antioxidant cream. it's easy to spread. i think it reduces redness, but i think it's my brain tricking me since it's green lol.
❀ step 6: retinol*
RoC's retinol correxion night cream. it has a different smell that i'm used to. it's very easy to put on my skin. a little goes a long way!
when i use this, i'm replacing the matcha pudding.
❀ step 6: facial oil
PROVENCE beauty's alpha-bet facial oil. it hydrates my skin very well. it's a nice final step.
*i alternate between the two. (don't use them at the same time!) i use them thursday-sunday, which are the days i don't have morning classes. (i often do my P.M routine late at night)
note
i want to start using p&l's lactic acid repair serum. i received a sample when it first launched and instantly fell in love! i remember that it reduced the look of my pores immensely. however, i am on a budget so i had to make a sacrifice </3
when i'm home during the school year, i use p&l's glass skin kit (both A.M/P.M) + DHC's oil cleanser (P.M). and i use absolute care lux's 24 karat gold serum and cream at night. the serum leaves this shimmery look and it's quite cute.
i used to use DHC's collagen mist but it's now discontinued :( gave a slight dewy look. it was lightweight. also great as a setting spray. ultra hydration

Exploring the Tranquil Elegance of Lavender Water: Benefits, Uses, and Beyond
Discover the soothing allure of Lavender Water, a timeless botanical elixir revered for its myriad of benefits and versatile applications. From skincare to aromatherapy, this fragrant hydrosol embodies tranquility and elegance, offering a holistic approach to well-being.
Unveiling the Essence of Lavender Water:
Lavender Water is a gentle distillation of lavender flowers, capturing the essence of this beloved herb in a delicate aqueous form.
Unlike essential oils, which are extracted through steam distillation or solvent extraction, lavender water is obtained through the distillation of lavender blooms, resulting in a milder, water-soluble product.
The process preserves the aromatic compounds and therapeutic properties of lavender, imbuing the water with its signature floral scent and calming effects.
The Benefits of Lavender Water:
Lavender Water boasts a multitude of benefits for both the body and mind, thanks to its natural composition and soothing properties.
It is renowned for its calming and balancing effects on the skin, making it an ideal toner for all skin types, especially those prone to sensitivity or inflammation.
The gentle astringent properties of lavender water help to minimize pores, reduce excess oil production, and promote a clear, radiant complexion.
Beyond skincare, lavender water is prized for its aromatic qualities, serving as a natural air freshener, linen spray, and mood enhancer in aromatherapy practices.
Versatile Uses in Skincare:
Incorporating Lavender Water into your skincare routine can yield remarkable results, thanks to its gentle yet effective nature.
Use it as a facial toner to refresh and rebalance the skin after cleansing, or as a soothing mist throughout the day to hydrate and revitalize tired skin.
Its anti-inflammatory properties make it particularly beneficial for soothing sunburns, insect bites, and other minor skin irritations.
Harnessing the Power of Aromatherapy:
In aromatherapy practices, Lavender Water is prized for its calming and uplifting effects on the mind and emotions.
Diffuse it in your home or workspace to create a serene atmosphere that promotes relaxation, concentration, and mental clarity.
Mist your pillows and linens with lavender water before bedtime to promote restful sleep and alleviate insomnia.
Combine lavender water with other complementary essential oils, such as bergamot or chamomile, to create custom blends tailored to your specific needs and preferences.
Culinary and Household Applications:
Beyond skincare and aromatherapy, Lavender Water can also be used in culinary and household applications.
Add a splash of lavender water to baked goods, beverages, and desserts for a subtle floral flavor and aroma.
Use it as a natural flavoring agent in syrups, sauces, and salad dressings, or incorporate it into homemade jams and preserves for a gourmet touch.
In the home, lavender water can be used as a gentle cleaner and deodorizer for surfaces, fabrics, and upholstery, leaving behind a fresh, lingering scent.
Conclusion: Embrace the Tranquility of Lavender Water
In a world filled with synthetic fragrances and harsh chemicals, Lavender Water offers a natural and holistic approach to skincare, aromatherapy, and beyond. Whether used as a soothing toner, a calming mist, or a fragrant addition to culinary creations, its versatility and gentle efficacy make it a must-have staple in any wellness arsenal. Embrace the tranquility and elegance of lavender water and experience the transformative power of botanical beauty.
