Ok first of all thank you so much for writing the fics and taking your time. I’m honestly so tired of other people and not keeping their opinions to themselves… ignore them your perfect in my eyes ✨
Also ima need you to drop more of your skincare routine/ products because I’ve never had my skin so 🤌🏼
That moisturizer you recommended to someone else for dry skin is saving me 😩
HI BABYYYY
Thank you my darling angel 😭 ngl this made me feel better — it’s been hell at work this week so I haven’t written a ton (plus, y’know, dealing with bullshit).
IM SO GLAD MY RECS HELPED!! I got another anon asking about my skincare routine and it got buried, so I’ll re-share — especially since I’ve made a few changes!
AM routine
Garnier’s micellar water to cleanse (pink cap — I think the blue and green leave a residue and I don’t like it)
Byoma’s balancing face mist
Natrium’s niaciminacide acid serum OR vitamin C (never together!)
Cosrx snail mucin essence (this is a winter step, just to make sure my skin stays nice and hydrated)
Byoma gel eye cream (the de-puffing one)
Byoma gel moisturizer
Beauty of joseon sunscreen (SPF 50)
PM routine
I start by double cleansing — it’s SUPER important to double cleanse with an oil-based cleanser especially if you wear sunscreen!!
Cleanser (1) — natrium’s oil balm/makeup remover with a warm washcloth
Cleanser (2) — I alternate every other day with youth to the people’s superfood cleanser (I just got it and I’m obsessed) and panoxyl (10%). I’ve also used versed’s jelly milky cleanser on non-panoxyl days, and I love that, too!
Byoma’s balancing face mist toner OR beauty of joseon’s ginseng toner (I alternate)
Natrium’s hyaluronic acid serum (apply while face is still wet from toner — otherwise it won’t absorb properly!)
*optional* face mask — usually a Dr Jart’s sheet mask, 2-3 times a week
Versed’s gentle pressed retinol serum
Cosrx snail mucin essence
Cosrx snail mucin 92 all in one cream
Versed rich skin soak moisturizer
An eye cream from No 7 but idk which one it is — brightening??
And I sleep on a silk pillow case! That helps with skin stuff (and hair)
happy skincare!

hi oomfs..shopping list time:
- scented candles (rose, vanilla sandalwood, sage) (I had 3 giant scented candles that lasted me an entire 2 years) (need to restock for the next 2 years)
- cool rings (im thinking #aespacore but also not too fancy so that I can comfortably wear them all the time . i hate overconsumption)
- clay face mask for my clogged pores in the summer UGHHHH I used to use the Aztec one but it was kind of irritating and also it ran out </3 (rn I'm thinking of getting either the axis-y one or the innisfree one)
- vitamin c serum/lotion for hyperpigmentation around my nose and acne scars (idk which one. we will see. rn im using alpha albutrin and idk if it's working...)
- niacinamide serum (maybe. maybe I'll repurchase the axis y dark spot corrector bc it lowkey worked but if I get vit c then I don't need this too! im trying to keep it minimal I don't want to waste money, time, and energy)

Skincare is mostly a scam but at the very least we got sunscreens that aren’t sensory hell to put on out of it

the face cleanser i've been using for nearly one and a half years is finished. i don't know what to do with my life at this point. it was the best, but the brand is not cruelty free (i've learnt this after buying unfortunately) so i just can't buy another one.

Noooo apparently L’Oreal Paris True Match Naturale Gentle Mineral Makeup SPF 19 is being discontinued! I've been using it since I first started wearing makeup in 2009! I literally wouldn't even know what else to use.
If anyone knows of anything similar (mineral powder, feels light, good for sensitive skin, good for skin in general, has SPF, etc. etc.), let me know. My shade is Soft Ivory 456.

Girl help. My skin is sooo freaking dry right now. Like no matter how much lotion I put on my face, I still have dry patches pop up minutes later. My skin overall is dry, but the winter makes it worse. Any suggestions?
Girl don’t worry, I gotchu.
I vouch for these two products with my LIFE:
1. The cosrx snail mucin 92 all in one cream
Deal of the day: COSRX Snail Mucin 92% Moisturizer 3.52oz/ 100g, Daily Repair Face Gel Cream for Dry, Sensitive Skin, Not Tested on Animals, No Parabens, No Sulfates, No Phthalates, Korean Skincare https://a.co/d/h1bjIfG
I use this at night before my moisturizer. The consistency is (teehee) but I SWEAR it saves my skin in the winter.
The second product I recommend is the cosrx snail mucin essence — it’s gentle enough to use morning and night (before moisturizer both times)!
COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence 3.38 fl.oz 100ml, Hydrating Serum for Face with Snail Secretion Filtrate for Dull Skin & Fine Lines, Korean Skincare https://a.co/d/bm8hzgO
COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence 3.38 fl.oz 100ml, Hydrating Serum for Face with Snail Secretion Filtrate for Dull Skin & Fine Lines, Korean Skincare https://a.co/d/bm8hzgO
Finally, if you need a moisturizer, I do recommend the versed skin soak — a little pricier but GODDDD is it good. I use this at night!
Versed Skin Soak Rich Moisture Face Cream - Daily Facial Moisturizer with Squalane Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E + Red Algae - Smooth, Non-Greasy Night Cream for Aging, Dry Skin - Vegan (1.5 oz) https://a.co/d/9ICK5sZ

Unseen sunscreen by supergoop for daily face sunscreen; soonjung hydro barrier cream for morning moisturizer; the ordinary hyaluronic acid 2% + b5 for a morning serum; and cerave pm facial moisturizing lotion at night 🙏 also vanicream gentle facial cleanser for really sensitive skin and moisturizing body lotion great for eczema
thank you sm!! supergoop is actually what i’m using rn for spf! it feels great, tho i’ve pretty much been hunting for a brand that’s more affordable / still gets the job done. i also heard a lot of good things abt the HA serum by the ordinary. i will be sure to look up all of these

hi my love I can't remember if you posted skincare tips on here or main but you have any makeup remover recs I can't even wait til 🍭 time it's so bad
hello angel💕 I can’t remember either & tumblr won’t let me search😩 but I’m diving in!
first, my skins sensitive and I don’t like putting much on it so the simpler the better. I really love using cleansing balms or cleansing oils when it comes to makeup remover bc I can trust that it gets a lot of it all. some of my faves are:
- DHC cleansing oil (you can get the mini bottle for a lot cheaper than the full size & it still lasts a long time)
- PeaceOut blemish balm (I don’t use this everyday bc it’s exfoliating)
- Ponds makeup remover
- i like Sephora’s makeup removers too
- Sulwhasoo, love all their cleaners
- Peach & Lily, Innisfree, and Beauty of Joseon <- love their stuff and their cleaners are perf too
hope this helps or gives you an idea!!🫶🏽 & dont be intimidated by the oil ones too btw. it took me a while to hope on board with oil products bc I was like…the last thing I want is oily skin but it was the opposite lol they’ve made my skin so soft & nearly textureless

March 2024 favourites
Throughout the past few months I've seen several people catalogue their monthly interests in this way, and it's intrigued me as I don't know anyone else who likes to categorise things as much as I do. Maybe I'm just an immensely nostalgic person who is terrified of forgetting things from my youth, which, I'm not going to lie, is starting to hinder me a little! Anyways, this is my first try at this, bear with me.
Film(s)
Saw Dune: Part Two in theatres and holy shit, what an experience that was - it truly is the blockbuster franchise of our time. However, no matter how good the movie itself was, it still left me confused as i hadn't made any effort beforehand to understand the plot. I remember feeling the exact same sense of confusion when I came out of the cinema in 2021 after seeing the first part of Dune. Turns out all I had to do was watch a single Youtube video explaining how the Dune universe works in order to be completely engrossed by the world! If only my stubbornness and refusal to give sci-fi movies the time of day, a genre i've never enjoyed much, hadn't stopped me from wanting to understand it all these years.
Another thing that kept me on my toes all month was the promo for Challengers starting, which releases in theatres next month!! I can't believe we're actually getting a love triangle on screen where ALL corners touch. What a monumental event in history indeed.
Also, special mention: Swann Arlaud, Twitter's It-Boy of the Month!!! Well, at least my TL is flooded with pictures and interviews of him, which I'm actually not mad about, not mad at all.

Bars
Usually March is a really tough month, one full of despair and stress. While that was still the case this year, I tried balancing it out by spending more time with friends. It's been lovely spending long Friday evenings in bars, even if I did feel a little distant at times. Strange how one can feel dissociated in a large group and yet still feel like they belong - it only starts being unbearable the moment you begin to feel like an anomaly that is entirely out of place. Our brains work in fascinating ways; regardless, I'm just glad to have spent more time outside of my home. Is this what enjoying my youth feels like?
Tumblr media
Skincare
I only properly began about a week ago, but i've been having so much fun establishing, or rather enhancing my skincare routine. I used to brag about not taking care of my skin at all, which looking back was absolutely tragic. Now I'm very pleased with how far I've come in terms of taking care of my own body, at least with this little routine I have.
Music
I've been finding so much new music lately!! Over the last two weeks, there genuinely hasn't been a day where I didn't find at least two songs to my liking. Been listening to a ton of German music as well as any other genre I can think of - from rock, alternative/indie to hip-hop, rap, techno, pop, just anything that comes my way. Here are some of my favourites from this month:
babybreath - Lovesliescrushing Tommi - AnnenMayKantereit Junge - Die Ärzte Another life - PinkPantheress, Rema Subterraneans - David Bowie alone - Cavetown Tumblr Girls - G-Eazy, Christoph Andersson Will I See You Again? - Thee Sacred Souls Beautiful Boy - The Last Dinner Party Cellular (Live) - King Krule Leben leben - OG Ti Philadelphia - Matt Maltese, Searows Pretty Girls - Reneé Rap Am Weg in die Villa - BIBIZA Too Sweet - Hozier Never Wanted To Dance - Mindless Self Indulgence Lottoscheine - AnnenMayKantereit i like the way you kiss me - Artemas nichts - makko Souvenir - boygenius Ssaliva's entire discography
Books
I read How To Get A Girl Pregnant by Karleen Pendleton Jimenez, a memoir of sorts about a queer butch woman trying to get pregnant, and oh my god. The grip that book had on me was unbelievable, it simply felt so distinctly human and helped ease my anxiety about my future as a queer person a little. It's advice that straight parents cannot give their queer child, and I couldn't help but soak it all up. It's available online in pdf format, btw.
Also, I finally finished my third reread of my first All the Young Dudes copy that I started reading in November I believe? I'm afraid those characters, that story, and that fandom will always be a part of me, as it's been three years now, and my fixation isn't waning one bit. Forgot to mention that I began reading The Secret History after putting it off for literally a year or two, which I'm very excited about. So far it's incredible, however pages 44 and 45 left such a deep pit in my stomach that I had to put it down for a few days. Hopefully I'll be done with it by the end of April, as next month may be the most stressful of my entire life so far.
Special mention
The forcemasc tumblr tag has taken over my body and mind. Not sure whether I'm willing to go into more detail, but i just. i just. i. holy fucking shit. Never has anything validated my gender identity along with my sexuality more than that goddamn tag.
A quote that defined my month
