Reveal Your Bollywood Glow: Unveiling Celebrity-Inspired Skincare Secrets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This blog is going to be all about Indian & bollywood inspired products and skincare tips. If you also want a blog separately about Indian natural and authentic skincare or hair care I'll surely make it. 🫶
Know Your Skin Type : Identify your skin type - whether it's oily, dry, combination, or sensitive - to tailor your skincare routine effectively.
Cleanse Like a Star : Use a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil or Neutrogena to remove dirt and makeup and a oil cleaner is a must if you wear makeup daily. Opt for micellar water for a quick and effective cleanse on busy days. (But I don't really recommend it).
Exfoliate for Radiance : Incorporate a mild exfoliator like St. Ives Apricot Scrub or The Body Shop's Vitamin C Glow-Revealing Liquid Peel to slough off dead skin cells and reveal glowing skin. And my personal favorite coffee scrub from The Bombay shaving company. Don't exfoliate more than twice a week.
Hydration Is Key : Use a hydrating toner such as Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray for an instant boost of hydration or toner + mist from pilgrim works like magic (my fav 😭).
Targeted Treatments : Include a serum with ingredients like hyaluronic acid (for hydration) or vitamin C (for hyperpigmentation) if you are under 17 or 18 like me don't use vitamin c or if you want to use in very less %, I use 2% kojic acid for my uneven skin tone from pilgrim, it's very begniner friendly. (Always consult a dermatologist for your skincare don't go around seeing videos on insta and YouTube believing them). I recommend Minimalist if you want chemical bases serums.
If you are above 23 or 25 Incorporate a retinol-based cream like RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream for anti-aging benefits. (Got this tip from mumma for y'all 😭✨️)
Sun Protection Essentials : Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, such as La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Light Fluid, to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. More affordable and effective sunscreens from brands — dot and key, aqualogica, Dr. Seth and wish care.
Overnight Nourishment: Use a hydrating overnight mask like Laneige Water Sleeping Mask to replenish moisture while you sleep. Incorporate a facial oil like The Ordinary's Rose Hip Seed Oil for added nourishment and radiance.
DIY Treatments Inspired by Bollywood:
- Try a turmeric, gram flour and yogurt face mask inspired by Priyanka Chopra for glowing skin.
- Use aloe vera gel like Deepika Padukone for its soothing and hydrating properties. (MY fav bolly actress btw 😭❤️)
Lifestyle Tips for Healthy Skin : Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day people are not stupid that they are going around telling you to drink water, IT'S A MUST!. Incorporate antioxidant-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and green tea into your diet for overall skin health.
Some of my fav brands (mostly available in india) : dot and key, Foxtale, pilgrim, minimalist, st. Botanica, organic harvest and aqualogica!
Fav brand released by a bollywood actress: Hyphen by Kriti Sanon, their lip balm can even beat Rhode's lip balm istg- and their sunscreen 🔛🔝.
Channel your inner Bollywood diva and achieve a radiant, flawless skin with these skincare tips and product recommendations. Let your skin glow like a star!

Alright, Naughty Ones, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty – pubic hair grooming choices.
Tumblr media
Why all the fascination, you ask? Well, it’s about personal preference, hygiene, and sometimes, aesthetics. Here’s the lowdown:
Grooming pubic hair isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about practicality too. Trimming or removing excess hair can reduce sweat and odor, making you feel fresher down there.
Now, onto the grooming options, covering everyone from men and women to transgender individuals:
• Shaving:
• Example: Using a razor to achieve a smooth, hair-free look.
• Why choose it: Easy to do at home and offers a clean appearance.
• Waxing:
• Example: Removing hair with hot wax and cloth strips.
• Why choose it: Longer-lasting results compared to shaving, with smoother skin.
• Trimming:
• Example: Using scissors or an electric trimmer to shorten hair.
• Why choose it: Maintains some hair for a natural look while reducing length.
• Brazilian:
• Example: Removing most or all pubic hair, leaving a small strip or triangle.
• Why choose it: Offers a clean, minimalistic look with less maintenance than full removal.
• Natural:
• Example: Leaving pubic hair untouched and untrimmed.
• Why choose it: Embraces the body’s natural state, requires minimal upkeep.

My night hygiene routine
Oil Pulling
On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, I use coconut oil to oil pull for 15-20 minutes (I also put rosemary and coconut oil in my hair and scalp on Mondays during this time)
Oral Hygiene
Then, I start doing my oral Hygiene. 1. Floss. Always floss before brushing. 2. Brush with a gum health focused toothpaste. Some people claim there’s no difference, but I like to use that specific one just to be safe. 3. Use purple whitening toothpaste and brush for 2 more minutes 4. Scrape and brush my tongue to make sure i’m clearing out all the bacteria from the day. 5. Use a gum health focused mouthwash.
Dry Brushing
I do this before every shower to help with stretch marks, cellulite, and to act as an exfoliant. (I also put a hair mask in on Thursdays)
Shower
{this is the order i like to shower in} 1. Wash out mask or oil if i have it in my hair 2. Start scrubbing my head with my scalp scrubber and shampoo for 5 minutes, shampooing twice (on Monday and Thursday) 3. Wash my whole body with a bar soap and a washcloth, really scrubbing until i feel clean. 4. Put conditioner in if it’s Monday or Thursday 5. Exfoliate with a body scrub 6. Shave with shaving gel on Wednesdays 7. Follow up with baby oil and let that soak in 8. Rinse conditioner out 9. Use a washcloth and whipped soap or body wash to wash my body for the second time 10. Use my back brush to scrub my back with a salycilic acid body wash to fight against bacne 11. Turn the shower off and exfoliate/ wash my feet really well. (that all looks like a lot but i don’t do it all every night! there are specific days for certain things)
Skincare
1. Use an oil based face wash to wash the dirt and grime and makeup from the day off 2. Wash my face with my salycilic acid face wash 3. Use a lip scrub 4. Toner 5. Niacinamide serum 6. Thick layer of moisturizer and gua sha my face 7. Castor oil on my brows and eyelashes 8. Apply pimple patches if needed 9. Cover my lips in Vaseline
After shower
1. Slather my feet in Vaseline and put on thick cozy socks. (I don’t sleep in these but I leave them on for an hour or so) 2. Put coconut oil and Glycolic acid on my stretch marks 3. Mix a lotion and body oil and apply that to my whole body neck down 4. Change into comfy cozy pajamas!

Hygiene tips for girls | I wish I knew earlier
Tumblr media
Good hygiene can help you feel better and look nicer. It's okay if you don't know where to start, or if you need help dealing with changes your body is going through. Many young people go through this! Having great hygiene is as easy as staying clean, having good daily habits, and practicing a cleanly beauty routine.
METHODS
1:-Staying Clean
2:-Practicing Good Grooming
3:- Keeping a Hygienic Beauty Routine
METHODS:-STAYING CLEAN
1-Shower or bathe every day. Bacteria feed on the sweat and skin cells that accumulate on your body throughout the day – that's what causes body odor. Shower or bathe every day and use a mild soap to wash off the day's dirt.Especially wash and carefully dry your feet, face, hands, armpits, and bottom.
2-Shampoo and condition your hair. Shampoo your hair 2-3 times a week. Washing your hair too often removes the natural oil and can make your hair dry. Choose shampoo and conditioner that's right for you – whether your hair is dry, oily, frizzy, straight, or curly, there are many products that you can try.
3-Wash your face twice a day. Use warm water and a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser to wash your face in the morning and before bed. Use just your fingertips to massage the cleanser onto your skin – using a washcloth or sponge can be irritating. Don't scrub your skin hard. Rinse with warm water, and pat (don't rub) your skin dry with a clean towel.
4-Wear clean clothes. You don't necessarily have to wash your clothes every time you wear them, but always wear clothes without stains, wrinkles, and smells on them. If you get your clothes dirty or sweat in them, wash them before wearing them again. Wear fresh underwear and a fresh bra every day. Change socks as needed for comfort and to avoid bad smells. This may be more than daily, or it might be less if you only wore them for a few hours around the house without shoes
5-Wash your hands often. You should wash your hands regularly throughout the day, but especially after using the bathroom, after sneezing or coughing, before making or touching food, and after touching things that lots of other people have touched (for example, after handling money – think about how many people touch money!)
6-Carry small products around with you. Make a mini-hygiene kit to keep in your purse or backpack. Bring a packet of breath mints, gum, or a small bottle of mouthwash for after meals. Pack a small travel mirror, hand sanitizer, deodorant, tissues, menstrual products, and a small comb for everyday use.
7-Have good illness hygiene. If you're sick, it's important to practice good hygiene to protect others. Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze. Wash your hands a lot, especially after coughing or sneezing. If you're vomiting or have a fever, stay home and away from others
METHODS:-PRACTCING GOOD GROOMING
1-Use deodorant daily. It's normal to have body odor, especially under your arms. Your armpits naturally sweat more once you go through puberty, and underarm hair can trap sweat and bacteria. Wear deodorant every day to feel and smell fresh. There are lots of different kinds of deodorant – roll-on, spray, stick, and those with or without antiperspirant (decreases sweating as well as covers odor). Some are perfumed and others are unscented. It's up to you which kind to choose.
2-Shave, if you want to. Whether you want to shave your legs, underarms, and private area is completely up to you. Long hair in your armpits and groin might trap moisture and odors, but showering regularly and keeping the area clean and dry should solve that. If you do shave, do it safely and hygienically.
3-Have good dental hygiene. Brush your teeth, floss, and use mouthwash at least twice a day – after breakfast and before bed. This decreases tooth decay, gum disease, and bad breath. Try to use toothpaste or mouthwash with fluoride. If you have braces or aligners, you may want to brush after every meal.
4-Clean your retainer or aligner well. Yeast and bacteria can live on your appliance or appliance case if you don't clean it well. Brush your appliance case every time you brush your teeth, and disinfect it once a week.
5-Keep your contact lenses clean. If you wear contact lenses, it's important to keep them as clean as possible to prevent eye infections. Don't just rinse them with tap water and reuse them, or reuse the same contact solution day after day – this is setting you up to put bacteria in your eye! Rinse your contacts well every time you take them out, clean your contact case thoroughly, and use fresh contact solution. Be sure to replace your contact case regularly, about every 3 months.
6-Don't share personal items. It's nice to share, but not when it comes to things like your toothbrush, razor blade, or hairbrush. Keep your personal hygiene items to yourself, and don't use other people's personal items. Also, keep your own towels and washcloths
METHODS:-KEEPINH HYGIENIC BEAUTY ROUTINE
1-Treat your acne. If you get pimples, use a gentle, non-abrasive, and alcohol-free acne treatment. Don't vigorously scrub your skin when you wash your face, because this takes away the natural oils and can make your skin dry, flaky, and can even cause more acne.Try to treat your acne naturally, or talk to your doctor about products you can use.
2-Don't overdo your makeup. If you feel self-conscious about your skin you might be tempted to go heavy on your makeup. However, wearing too much makeup can make your skin dry or oily and cause breakouts. Only apply light layers of foundation and use makeup minimally for a natural, healthy look.
3-Care for your nails. Keep your finger and toenails trimmed and free of jagged edges. Clean underneath your nails when you wash your hands (and feet), and use an under nail scraper to get dirt out from under your nails if you need to.Use sharp clippers or small manicure scissors to cut straight across your nail, and round out the corners in a gentle curve with a nail file. Use hand lotion on your nails and cuticles.
4-Wear some nice perfume, but not too much. If you want to wear perfume or body spray, go for it! Just avoid wearing too much. This can be overpowering and unpleasant to some people. Spray your perfume two to three times in front of you and then walk through it – this will give you a nice smell without being overpowering.

My morning hygiene routine
This takes about 40-45 minutes every morning <3
Oral hygiene
1. First, I floss. You want to floss before brushing because you don’t want the stuff between your teeth left in your mouth. 2. I brush my teeth with whitening toothpaste for 4 minutes, making sure to hit every part of my mouth. 3. Then I use my tongue scraper to make sure I’m getting all of the build up off of my tongue because that’s what makes your mouth stink. 4. I end with using mouthwash for 2 minutes (I suggest Therabreath or Smartmouth)
Next I do skincare
1. I wash my face with a salycilic acid face wash because it helps with my hormonal acne 2. Ice roll my face to help depuff and lessen redness 3. Pat dry and follow up with a toner (I use Glycolic Acid) 4. Use Hylauronic acid and Vitamin C serums. 5. Apply a moisturizer with Spf. 6. Last for skincare i use a thick lip balm on my lips and let that absorb
Hair
This step is pretty small for me because i’m trans and have short hair, so usually i wet my hair with a spray bottle and then use a bit of sea salt spray to add some texture. Then i brush it out with a round brush.
Smelling Good
1. Wipe your armpits with a cleansing wipe and put on deodorant. this makes sure there’s no build up of bacteria before putting your deodorant on. 2. Next I put a scented body butter all over my body and vaseline on my feet and pulse points. 3. The vaseline is to make sure my perfume oil sticks and lasts as long as possible. I also spray a spritz or two on my clothes for the day.
Hands
Lastly i trim and shape my nails if needed, apply a vitamin nail oil, and use a handcream
