Hello, all you holly jolly people! Here’s another installment of my “12 Days of Prompts.”

I won’t lie I kind of had a little bit of writer’s block on this one, so I decided that this would be more of a minor world-building prompt list. And by minor I mean itty bitty lol.

This prompt list is dedicated to festive holiday drinks that are more on the alcoholic side.

Hi! Above is a prompt list I've created for December. I realise it's a bit late (I'm posting on the 9th) but I've been thinking of creating monthly prompt lists for a while and thought I'd start now rather than later and maybe forget.

He wanted her back. She moved on.

Even after breaking up. They still find ways back to each other.

He manipulated her and she fell for it.

They are toxic for each other. But always end up in bed with each other.

He wanted her back but she isn’t giving him another chance.

He left her and she still wanted him back.

They were never meant to be and they knew that. They just can’t let each other go.

She just wanted to be enough for him, but he didn’t care.

He cheated and she found out. Now he realized he can’t live without her.

He didn’t deserve her. But her love for him is stronger.

They thought they had something. But then decided it was best if they stopped seeing each other.

She always forgave him, but this time she didn’t.

How could you be in love with someone who is always mad at you. She knew it was best if she just left. But after everything they've been through it wasn’t going to be easy.

She couldn’t love him as much as she wanted to. It was forbidden to sleep with someone you worked for. But she couldn’t help but ignore the rule.

He was such a fool for letting her into his life. But maybe it was the best thing to happen to him.

They broke up, but they can’t live without each other.

Their relationship was fragments of the past, but deep down their love was still stronger than ever. What happens when they meet again?

She thought things were going amazing. Well she thought wrong.

He got what he wanted and he was happy. Meanwhile she was still broken and miserable.

Their relationship was amazing at the start. But over time the person that she fell in love with wasn’t the same.

After years of talking. They decided it was best if they stopped. Maybe it actually didn’t stop in the end.

He didn’t listen and thought everything was fine. She knew everything wasn’t fine and just wanted him to listen.

She despised him. He was arrogant and only cared about himself. That was until he gave her a ride home.

She didn’t want to fall in love with him again until his touch made her do the one thing she didn’t want to do ‘fall in love again’.

They stopped talking, but he called her wanting just one more night to forget about everything.

No denying they loved each other. But this was their third breakup. It was just best if she left for good.

He was her first love and would be her last. (either she could meet someone else or something!)

He didn't care about any girls and most importantly. He didn’t fall in love. That was until he saw her and his whole life changed.

She knew he was pretending and she wasn’t falling for it.

After years of dating they finally said the 3 words. ‘I love you’

Maybe being snowed in wasn’t so bad after all.

He didn’t seem to understand the words ‘I’m done.’ If they were done, why was she in his bed again.

After years of apologizing. Apology accepted.

After she said don’t ‘bother calling when you need something’. Turns out it was her in the end calling for something.

Maybe jealousy is something that can reunite the flame that was lost.

He was jealous and she didn’t care.

She didn’t trust him. Until one night when drinks got the best of her, and waking up on his couch realized how wrong she was.

She thought he didn’t love her. Until he showed her how much he did.

He didn’t understand that she was breaking up with him. She wanted so badly to say no. But her desires got the best of her.

Cold Prompts

"Are you jealous of a warm water bottle?" "Considering how tightly you hold that thing… Yes."

It’s too cold to hold hands, but A still wants to be as close to B as possible while they walk through the streets.

"You better have a good reason for making me abandon my blanket/warm bed/etc."

"You said you’re cold." "Yes. But I thought you’d hug me, not make me do exercises!"

"It’s not that cold." "I can see your breath."

A wakes up in the middle of the night, freezing, as B stole the blanket.

"How many layers are you wearing?"

A nestles their cold feet between B’s warm thighs.

"Don’t—", A exclaims just before B tears back the blanket and exposes them to the cold air.

"I’m cold. Cuddle me."

A opens their coat and, while enveloping B, slings the material around them as well.

A watches, amused, as B makes a run for the next rug/bed/etc. as they try to not touch the cold floor (too much).

"Just think about how warm it’ll be once we’re there." "And how’s that supposed to help me now?"

A puts their clothes on the radiator so that, when they slip into them minutes later, they are wonderfully warm.

"But it’s cold (outside). And, and… And my blanket would miss me. Do you want to break its heart by tearing us apart?"

A offers B their coat/scarf/gloves/etc.

A likes making B blush, but in the colder months, it also has the added benefit of them being able to warm their hands on B’s heated cheeks.

"Are you cold?" "No. I just love to shiver/dance on the spot and looking like an idiot."

"I’m nothing but a personal heater to you, huh?"

"Any longer on that radiator and your butt will start to melt."

"Are those gosebumps?" "Don’t flatter yourself. I’m simply cold."

A insists their (ugly) self-knitted socks are the only thing that keeps their feet warm. B is skeptical/disagrees.

A attempts to walk like a penguin to determine if said movement would keep them warm.

"Your lips look a little cold. Want me to warm them up for you?"

Winter Greenery OC Questions.

A little list of OC questions based on the folklore of winter greenery in Northern Europe. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all symbolic meanings, but rather just a small selection for entertainment, rather than educational, purposes.

Fir: Endurance and Hope.

Is your OC generally optimistic about the future? Or do they tend to prepare for the worst, whilst hoping for the best? Or do they even take a generally pessimistic view of the way things will likely unfold?

Does your OC actively attempt to nurture or inspire hope in others – even when things look particularly dire? Or are they inclined to be more blunt with their assessment of a situation?

Would your OC ever fight for a lost cause on principle? Or would they give up – or even change allegiance – in order to ensure the best outcome for themselves?

What is an example of something (or someone) to which your OC has been stubbornly loyal, through thick and thin? Was it worth it in the end? Could it ever have been?

How many setbacks can (or will) your OC endure before they give up on a course of action? Or alternatively, how many times can they be let down or betrayed before they turn their back upon another person?

Holly: Protection and Luck.

Is your OC protective of those to whom they are close? Are they ever somewhat over-protective? Or do they prefer to let people suffer the consequences of their mistakes? Perhaps because they see this as a useful life lesson?

Does your OC carry a lucky charm of some sort? What makes them think it’s lucky? Or do they not believe in luck, yet find themselves unable to part with it all the same?

Has your OC ever taken on a burden or suffered harm to protect another from suffering its consequences? Did the person in question realise that they had done so? What was their motivation when doing this?

What does your OC believe to be the luckiest event in their life? Is this an accurate assessment? Or was there actually more than simply luck at play?

Does your OC believe that they were historically let down by those who should have protected them? If so then what has been the impact of this upon them? If not then have they always been kept safe by others? Has anyone ever sacrificed themselves to protect them?

Ivy: Fidelity and Loyalty.

Has your OC ever been unfaithful in a relationship? Could they ever be tempted by the physical charms of another? Or have they ever been surprised by how little they are tempted by others, at least once they embraced their current lover?

What inspires loyalty in your OC? Will they follow someone purely based upon duty or rank? Or are there certain qualities towards which they are drawn? Or perhaps there ways by which another person must prove themselves before earning their loyalty?

Has another person ever offered to leave their spouse or lover for your OC? What was it about them that this person found so hard to resist? How did they feel about it at the time?

Does your OC feel any abiding connection to their place of birth? Has this ever been challenged by conflicting loyalties? How are they viewed by those currently living in their society of origin?

Does your OC remain steadfastly loyal to those who have helped them on their journey? Or are they quick to dispense with those who are no longer of use to them?

Mistletoe: Peace and Friendship.

Who was your OC’s first friend? What drew them to each other? Were they expecting to get along? Or was it a surprise to them both?

Does your OC find it easy to make friends? What barriers are there to them doing so? Has this changed over time?

Do other people experience your OC as having a “peaceful” energy? Or are they inclined to restlessness - or even fractiousness? Do others find them relaxing company?

To what extent does your OC believe in the perfectibility of mankind? Do they believe that they are playing a part, no matter how small, in ushering in a new utopian age of co-operation and peace? Or do they consider that people are intrinsically flawed and that the best that can be hoped for is a series of trade-offs between conflicting values?

Who is your OCs most unlikely friend? What made their friendship so unexpected?

Pine: Healing and Longevity.

What is the worst physical injury or illness that your OC has ever suffered? How long did it take them to recover? Does it still have an impact upon them now?

What is the worst emotional or spiritual wound that your OC has ever suffered? What was the long-term impact of this experience? What helped them to move on from it (if they ever have)?

Does your OC make a good patient? Or are they resistant to being given medical treatment - or even agreeing to rest?

Does your OC expect to live a long and fruitful life? Or do they consider themselves to already be living on borrowed time?

Does your OC believe it is better to burn out than to fade away? Or do they perhaps pretend to believe this, when actually they would be quite happy to retire peacefully one day?

Birch: Rebirth and Regeneration.

Has your OC ever experienced something that changed them irrevocably? If so, then how do they view the person they were before?

Does your OC believe that sometimes a person needs to hit rock bottom before they can begin to rebuild their life? Has this ever been their personal experience? Or would they rather spare someone suffering, even if it meant they failed to learn from their mistakes over and over again?

Does your OC recover quickly from injuries? Or has it got harder for them to keep bouncing back as they’ve got older? If so, is this something they would ever admit?

Has your OC ever made a heroic or unexpected comeback from a dire situation? What helped them to do so?

Has your OC ever been part of a wider cultural or spiritual renaissance? Perhaps following the defeat of an occupying force? Or the rediscovery of long-lost wisdom? Or even a reinterpretation of existing traditions?
