Here’s some storyline ideas. You can decide if you want it angst or fluff or whatever! I don’t mind if you take this ideas. You don’t need to credit just a tag, so I could read it! Would be great!

All the promises were already broken.

Just one more night with no feelings, nothing. After that we forget.

Reader finds out their relationship was nothing, but a lie.

He wanted her back. She moved on.

Even after breaking up. They still find ways back to each other.

He manipulated her and she fell for it.

They are toxic for each other. But always end up in bed with each other.

He wanted her back but she isn’t giving him another chance.

He left her and she still wanted him back.

They were never meant to be and they knew that. They just can’t let each other go.

She just wanted to be enough for him, but he didn’t care.

He cheated and she found out. Now he realized he can’t live without her.

He didn’t deserve her. But her love for him is stronger.

They thought they had something. But then decided it was best if they stopped seeing each other.

She always forgave him, but this time she didn’t.

How could you be in love with someone who is always mad at you. She knew it was best if she just left. But after everything they've been through it wasn’t going to be easy.

She couldn’t love him as much as she wanted to. It was forbidden to sleep with someone you worked for. But she couldn’t help but ignore the rule.

He was such a fool for letting her into his life. But maybe it was the best thing to happen to him.

They broke up, but they can’t live without each other.

Their relationship was fragments of the past, but deep down their love was still stronger than ever. What happens when they meet again?

She thought things were going amazing. Well she thought wrong.

He got what he wanted and he was happy. Meanwhile she was still broken and miserable.

Their relationship was amazing at the start. But over time the person that she fell in love with wasn’t the same.

After years of talking. They decided it was best if they stopped. Maybe it actually didn’t stop in the end.

He didn’t listen and thought everything was fine. She knew everything wasn’t fine and just wanted him to listen.

She despised him. He was arrogant and only cared about himself. That was until he gave her a ride home.

She didn’t want to fall in love with him again until his touch made her do the one thing she didn’t want to do ‘fall in love again’.

They stopped talking, but he called her wanting just one more night to forget about everything.

No denying they loved each other. But this was their third breakup. It was just best if she left for good.

He was her first love and would be her last. (either she could meet someone else or something!)

He didn't care about any girls and most importantly. He didn’t fall in love. That was until he saw her and his whole life changed.

She knew he was pretending and she wasn’t falling for it.

After years of dating they finally said the 3 words. ‘I love you’

Maybe being snowed in wasn’t so bad after all.

He didn’t seem to understand the words ‘I’m done.’ If they were done, why was she in his bed again.

After years of apologizing. Apology accepted.

After she said don’t ‘bother calling when you need something’. Turns out it was her in the end calling for something.

Maybe jealousy is something that can reunite the flame that was lost.

He was jealous and she didn’t care.

She didn’t trust him. Until one night when drinks got the best of her, and waking up on his couch realized how wrong she was.

She thought he didn’t love her. Until he showed her how much he did.

He didn’t understand that she was breaking up with him. She wanted so badly to say no. But her desires got the best of her.

Your OTP sitting on a balcony or patio on a warm summers evening as the sun sets, sharing dinner and laughs as soft music plays in the background and the soft breeze blows through their hair

Ocean (Coast) Prompts

1. A runs after B, laughing as the water makes the pursuit more difficult.

2. Having breakfast/etc. with a view of the ocean should be nice. Yet, A seems to pay more attention to the waterbody than to B.

3. A and B met up to go surfing together, but now they are simply sitting on their boards and have a serious conversation.

4. A and B are so focused on one another that they don’t notice that the ocean has carried them along the coastline. Now, they have to walk/swim for a while to get back to their towels/friends/etc.

5. The sound of waves crashing onto the shore lulls A to sleep as they rest on B’s lap/chest/etc.

6. A shakes/wrings out their wet hair/flings their arms so that B too – who has been enjoying the sun on the beach – can enjoy the ocean.

7. A has their legs wrapped around B as they float together.

8. A and B gossip/talk about friend C/etc. who is currently watching over their belongings/etc. on the beach.

9. The sun has set/is starting to rise when A and B make it to the ocean, their spontaneous trip leading them to go skinny dipping/etc.

10. A and B kiss while sitting together on a (surf)board.

11. A is afraid of the ocean.

12. A loves the ocean/dreams of seeing the ocean for the first time. B surprises them with a trip to the coastline.

13. As a wave retreats, it takes A/A’s hat/etc. with it.

14. A stands on a rock/etc., back to the ocean and eyes on B (and the camera they are holding), when a larger wave crashes behind them. (Their clothes get wet.)

15. A always dreamt of living near the ocean – turns out that the reality of it is more of a nightmare than a dream come true.

16. A has had a bad week. The only thing that is able to save it/can bring them some peace now, is a visit to the beach on their day off.

17. A gets scared when something (e.g. a fish, seaweed) brushes against their skin.

18. The water is colder/warmer than A expected it to be/B said it would be.

19. A throws their engagement ring/etc. into the ocean.

20. A gives B the royal treatment they deserve and pushes the board they are lying on towards the shore.

21. A watches the waves, marveling at the easiness with which the water crashes onto the shore and retreats again. If only it were so easy for them too, to be able to forget their troubles/get over their crush on B/etc.

22. A halts for a moment to take in the smell of the ocean breeze.

23. Waves crash against the city walls, water raining on the pavement/everyone who walks past.

24. A stands on a cliff/rock and takes in the ocean view with B by their side.

25. The ocean is A’s safe place. (So, B knows where to search for them after an argument/etc.)

26. A has lost something in the ocean and B dives for it.

27. Walking into the ocean, A expected B to be squatting. They are not prepared for the drop/sudden steep decline as they make their way to them.

28. A gets excited when they see how clear the water is/the color of the water.

29. A carries B on their back as they walk in the shallow water.

30. A splashes some water at B.

31. A and B are lounging on their boards. They hold hands so they don’t drift apart.

32. A and B jump over incoming waves together.

33. One moment A and B are laughing/joking around, the next a wave crashes over them and A can’t (immediately) find B anywhere anymore.

34. A ‘conquers’ B’s board.

35. While teaching A how to surf, B promises them a reward if they try to stand on their board/etc.

36. Their hotel room/etc. offers an ocean view. Every morning, A wakes up to find B already gazing at the waterbody.

37. A kisses B’s shoulder/etc. as the latter makes it back to shore/as they float together in the water and comments on how they taste like the ocean.

38. A and B (attempt to) kiss underwater.

39. A and B take a walk along the coastline, gentle waves occasionally brushing against their feet.

40. A falls off of their (surf)board.

41. A jellyfish/sea creature stings A.

42. A struggles to fall asleep without the sound of the ocean in the background.

43. It has been way too long since A has last been at the ocean and they desperately want to see it up close again. Yet, they want to see B just a little more.

44. A is obsessed with the ocean and decorates their apartment accordingly.

45. A and B race each other to the ocean.

46. A admires how B looks wearing their snorkeling mask.

Hello Writeblr 💖✨

I am a sucker for summer romance. There is just something about hot days and sultry nights that gets my romance-writing gears turning.

But if your gears need a little oil, here are some classic summer romance prompts I came up with to help you get them going again.

These are meant to be used loosely and with abandon. Enjoy!

Character A is a disillusioned trust fund baby, and Character B is an employee at their summer estate.

Character A makes friends with a group of skater punks--and immediately falls for Character B.

Established couple--the worst heat wave of the summer is in full swing. A wants to buy an air conditioner, while B loves to swelter.

A's dog manages to get loose on the beach chasing a seagull. Dog-lover B catches the dog and is looking for its owner. (Bonus: B calls A later on, shyly revealing they got the number from the dog's collar.)

A is babysitting/nannying for extra summer cash, and falls for single, attractive, over-worked and exhausted parent B.

A just got out of a bad breakup and is determined to have a meaningless summer fling; until they end up falling head over heels for B.

A has told their family they're dating someone, and convinces their newly single friend B to pretend they're together; B wants to make their ex jealous; but they end up falling for each other.

Nervous, introvert A meets charismatic, outgoing B at a summer kegger.

Both A and B just graduated high school/college, and after not talking for the entire 4 years, they end up chatting at a lame BBQ.

A and B meet at summer job and bond over their tyrannical manager—bonus points if one of them stands up for the other in front of the public.

assorted prompts!

no particular theme, just a few ideas that i think are neat :3

a character that really likes journaling, and another character that accidentally happens upon it and reads a few lines

"You are so much more than what people say you are."

a character waiting for their flight in the airport. and the stranger that asks to sit by them because they're near a charging area.

addendum to the last one, finding out they're sitting next to each other for the whole flight.

the trope of a cafe being too busy and having to share a table with someone they don't know lives rent free in my head

alkf soulmate au soulmate au soulmate au, i personally like the matching marks one the most, but a lot of other popular ones i've seen are to do with eyes meeting and seeing color, touching and marks forming in the shape of that touch, being able to write on their skin for their soulmate to see, and shared dreams

maybe because i'm a sucker for angst but i'm also a big fan of soulmate au's in which one character's soulmark disappears or covered because of scars or a near death experience. not just because of the complications it creates for their fated to find them, but also the feeling of losing the one thing that connected them to their soulmate

painting/studio mates that are always working together. always in the studio together, working on projects late into the night. and it's this almost silent rivalry of who can make the most progress or who can stay in the studio the latest. how they always examine each other's painting and critique them in front of the whole class. at one point, they get to talking, reluctantly admitted to each other's skill. catch feelings. become each other's muse/inspiration. the works.

something about the tragedy of watching someone go to college in a major they hate. that they would be disowned if they chose their passion. how they were only happy in the one art class that their schedule allowed them to take. painting the walls with your name, if you can't remember this moment at least that room will. there was pain in the thought that they could've double majored. if only they knew about the possibility sooner.

like it's so tragic to me watching character be groomed as an heir to a big company or throne, when all they want is to know peace away from that world. they want the freedom to choose but can't for fear of losing everything they have. they will go through the motions if only to survive for the few moments of joy. but my favorite trope? when we see them find others that bring them the peace they crave. or y'know. when they leave their whole life behind, bright-eyed into the unknown.

i fucking love au's. i think i mentioned a pokemon au before but like aughhh love them. idk i just like thinking about what pokemon a character would use and what their ace would be. ALSO if they would be the kind of person that wants to beat the gym masters, win pokemon beauty competitions, use them for help in their profession, or just like, as a little guy, just a pet, what an adorable friend.
