Do you know what you need to get yourself? An outdoor quilt.
I am a lover or quilts and blankets, and I have made and accumulated many. However, as soon as the weather turned nice, I had to agonize over, which I was willing to get dirty and possibly stained from picnicking. Then, one day I was checking out the clearance section of Walmart and found a king-size quilt for like 25%off. I bought it with the purpose "this will be my outdoor quilt".
I didn't have emotional attachments to it, and it wasn't handmade, or a gift or anything. It was just my outdoor quilt. And it's PERFECT!
Having a picnic? KING SIZED QUILT BABY, WERE FITTING EVERYONE! Only ground open enough is covered in sticks and maybe even pine pitch? No big, I can clean it later, and I'm not worried if it stains!
And even better by having a dedicated outdoor quilt, it helped my roomies and other friends! I would have people come ask to borrow it for their outdoor party or picnic because they didn't want to get their nice blankets dirty either!
It's a life saver. Get yourself an outdoor quilt.
