helping them take off makeup, dry their hair, change into more comfy clothes, all so that they have to do less
sitting there listening to the entire vent (and being totally invested/validating)

doing chores or things for them that night that they normally would have to take care of.
making the house as cozy as possible before they come home (blankets on the couch, lights dim, candles on, movie ready)

heyy u havent updated in a hot minute, hows life going 💗💗
hi there! i know it's been so long since i've popped in 😭 i've had lots of family emergencies back to back on top of other things going on.
even now, i have a parent of mine in hospital after a scare. things are looking better and they'll be home today!
so hopefully if things slow down and are alright, i can be back as soon as next week <3

noticing their leg anxiously jumping beneath the table, so they grab their hand as a form of support
pep talks in the car before they go up to the door
"you're going to be fine...they'll love you. i just know it."
being a little startled if the mother goes in for that little cheek kiss while greeting (or saying goodbye)
^ and shooting a look of playful annoyance when their partner is giggling behind their mother's back
accidentally bumping into the parents while shopping or running errands
finding out one of their parents is an old teacher, boss, etc.
^ and if they didn't have a good relationship before, then....
spending the whole week asking their partner about their parent's likes and dislikes, just to be sure.

researching conversation topics online for hours
buying the most grand bouquet of flowers, wine, or other welcoming gift they can find
"what if i give the wrong impression...what if they think i don't have good intentions?"

them getting up to help clean or assist with something and one parent shooting their child a look that says "they're a keeper."
being genuinely surprised when their partner snaps at their own parents after they say something out of line
^ maybe it's the other way around, and they have to defend their partner from the parents themselves. left shocked that someone could treat their own child like that.

hi! thank you so much for letting me know, i appreciate it tons.
i know of a lot of people who do this, it's already happened to me a couple of times before on multiple platforms and i wouldn't be shocked if it continues to happen....it's part of the reason why i changed up my layout for posting now!
it sucks that people do this without giving the proper recognition or credit to the writers that post these. but if you see them, recognize my prompt list and want to make a comment stating that i wrote it or where to find it, it would mean a lot!
and hey, to those simply wondering: if you want to repost a prompt list, please just ask the creators or read through their blog to see if it's okay. to me, it's a sign of both courtesy and respect.
and even then: giving credit is not hard. don't try and pass off others work as your own, regardless of what it is. 💗

"hang in there, please...."
holding onto their hand as a form of comfort, whether the injured is awake or not.
bringing a bunch of their favorite board games to play to kill time
crying to themselves as they're left alone for the first time when visiting hours are over (horrible experience btw i do not recommend)

(if there's space) climbing into the bed with them and cuddling away

crashing their date with another person purposely
^ and it all was definitely out of spite. not because they were jealous. never. totally not.
sending them flowers that they just know sets off their allergies
^ probably left with some smartass note too
laughing at them simply because they seem to care about the holiday
"you celebrate this corny day?" "just say you're lonely and have no one to spend it with, next time, 'kay?"
"i told my friends i'd go on this stupid double date with them." "and that's my business because..?" "..i don't have a date."
catfishing the hell out of them online leading up to the holiday
and then it backfiring because they realize, they're actually pretty nice and sweet outside of all the arguing.
"i thought bringing you roses would be a romantic! you know!?" "not when they still have the thorns on them, dumbass!"
giving them those boxed chocolates, but replacing the filling with something else instead (like wasabi for example lmao)

giving the other candies because it was simply "left over" and "definitely stale"
perfect chance for a little secret admirer thing to go on since one may be just too embarrassed or scared to face things head on

can you do prompts for celebrating the friendship part of valentine's with others? i feel like most people forget it's the day of friendship and love and i'm a sucker for explicitly nonromantic things :]
aw yes this is so important too! here's what i could come up with <3
platonic valentine's day things for best friends 💗
exchanging little care baskets with all their favorite snacks and things
sending each other cute little v-day cards in the mail
planning a little picnic together
making cute friendship bracelets
^ maybe they'll spell out a word that describes them or that they're most grateful for on said bracelet (like cute, funny, strong)
spending the day making the funniest phrases they can out of the conversation hearts
blindfolding each other and trying to guess which candy or chocolate the other gave them
going to one of those little painting and wine spots and making each other lovely drawings

spending the night in watching bad rom-coms and laughing their asses off

"i'm in the mood, babe"- dancing together things 💃

"come on, let's have some fun!"
being so lost in each others eyes that they forget where they are
laying their head on their chest, swaying together in bliss
relieved that the lights are dimmed, so that no one, including who they're dancing with, can see the blush on their cheeks
"i didn't know you knew how to dance." "there's a lot you don't know about me, then."
softly singing along to the song playing whilst they dance
foreheads touching as they lean in and rock back and forth
not being able to go out, so one makes a makeshift dance floor in the living room by moving furniture, dimming lights, and even playing fun effects on the t.v.
"why are you so stiff? loosen up a little."
one having their arms linked around the other's neck, feeling hands gently holding onto their waist
sharing a kiss while dancing >>>
going from holding one another's palms to fingers as they grow more comfortable.
whispering compliments and words of endearment to the other as they dance
when they do that little twirling thing :(
