Fourteenth Day of Gift-Giving
Fourteen Fun Adventures
... 14 adventure prompts
The city they live in organized a scavenger hunt and now everyone in that city is on the move, trying to be the first to win the big prize and have fun.
A group project in school brings some unusual friends together.
They loved going hiking together and one day they decide to leave the normal trail and it leads to a lot of drama, but also shows how great they work together.
It was a long way home, but it turned into a real adventure for them.
After their car breaks down in a small town during a roadtrip, a group of friends decide to stay as long as it takes to fix the car and explore the town and area surrounding it.
It's hard meeting new people, so they decide to post online to invite people for a picknick with strangers and they would've never believed that so many people turn up.
Getting lost in an unknown city can lead to finding some really cool places and meeting interesting people.
They had always wondered about the small island just off the coast, so one day they just make their way over there.
It had always been one friend's dream to meet a certain celebrity, so their friends embark with them on an adventure to make their dream come true.
The kids in the neighborhood believe that one of the empty houses down the street is haunted and they decide to investigate their claim.
It's one of those social experiments to see how people work in groups, but despite some hiccups, it leads to actual fun to work together.
Surprisingly getting a few days off without any plans yet, they decide to let fate and a train ride decide on a new place to visit and explore.
Renting a boat and going down the river leads to some fun adventures.
Summer break can become boring after a few weeks, so they decide to embark on a quest.

reluctantly joining friends, family, etc... on a trip they didn't want to go to.
uncertain conditions; being so worried about everything they jump at the slightest things or can't sleep.
homesickness.
the realization that they are, indeed, far away from home.
getting left behind - accidentally or intentionally.
not well-rested and suddenly having to learn how to run on four non-consecutive hours of sleep.
^ forcibly. being asked to do activities that require waking up before 5 in the morning.
tired: "you are all so annoying."
minding their own business and some lil' guy (wild animal, creature, insect...) shows up and sits next to them.
eagerly awaiting the day of the trip.
... or eagerly awaiting the day they go home from the trip.

Adventure Prompts
and some can have romantic subplots :D
- the queen is kidnapped for ransom by the ruler of a neighbouring kingdom. nobody is brave enough to try to retrieve her except her chambermaid, who sets out with a stolen sword to get her back
- a thirteen y/o kid is proclaimed the ‘chosen one’ for a quest in a magical land. however, their older sister who’s home for the summer knows how badly her sibling will screw it up and goes in their place
- in the back alleys and slums of the city, the illegal trade of Undocumented Creatures runs rampant. menageries of small dragons, werewolf puppies, and fairies are hidden in every nook and cranny where citizens don’t care to look. but what happens when a young imp whose sole purpose is to cause chaos escapes and meets a caffeine-addicted, socially awkward uni student?
- while looking through some old stuff at their granny’s house, a little kid becomes possessed by the spirit of a long-dead relative. granny is Not Having It and, after making the grotesque, demonic child a nice big lunch, takes a large rake and sets off to find the ghost of her late husband’s great aunt glenice and have a nice little chat
- mc has the ability to make anything they draw come to life. one night, whille drunk with their friends, they are coerced into drawing a plethora of dinosaurs. come morning, the hungover friends wake up to find a pterodactyl swinging from the ceiling fan, a nothosaurus flopping in the bath, and just generally a multitude of supposedly extinct beasts wreaking havoc in the apartment
- having been locked in an art gallery after dark, mc is wandering anxiously through the halls when they hear footsteps behind them, turning around, they see a familiar face: a lady from a painting a few rooms back. she doesn’t say anything, just beckons, and mc feels compelled to follow. they make their way back to her frame and the lady pulls mc into the painting. on the other side...
- a filmbro who’s always like ‘i reLaTe tO paTricK BatEmaN So muCh, mY mAsK of saNitY Is aBoUt tO sLiP’ actually meets patrick bateman haha :)

Story Prompt 84
The evening breeze whispered through the ancient forest, carrying with it the scent of pine and earth. Amidst the towering trees, a figure cloaked in darkness moved with stealthy grace, their steps as silent as the wings of a hunting owl.
In a secluded clearing, a lone figure knelt before a small, flickering fire. Tears streaked down their cheeks, glistening in the firelight. "Why?" they whispered, their voice trembling with grief. "Why did you do this? They were innocent."
"Don't be such a drama queen," a voice interrupted, dripping with malice. The figure in the shadows stepped forward, revealing themselves to be the villain. "I already claimed that title."
The hero's eyes narrowed with defiance. "You may have claimed it, but you'll never understand the weight of it. The burden of responsibility."
The villain chuckled darkly, their eyes glinting with amusement. "Responsibility? Please. You cling to your ideals like a child to their favorite toy. But in the end, it's all just a game. And I play to win."
The hero rose to their feet, fists clenched at their sides. "You may think you've won this round, but the fight isn't over yet. I'll stop you, no matter what it takes."
The villain's laughter echoed through the forest, a chilling sound that sent shivers down the hero's spine. "Oh, I do hope you try. It's been far too long since I've had a worthy adversary."
With a flick of their cloak, the villain disappeared into the shadows, leaving the hero alone with their thoughts.

“But to the BatFam? That is just Some Guy. A random dude - if you will.”
“Don’t worry about it, I’m missing my spleen.”
“Oh cool, yeah, missing organs suck. I’m missing a kidney and part of my liver. Oh! And my gallbladder but that was more of a necessary evil, it was like, poisoning me or something.” Danny was so focused on applying pressure to his wound (and maybe being a bit too light headed) that he didn’t notice how silent his friend had gotten. Like-wise the comms had gone equally quiet as Gotham’s vigilante family realized that they knew very little about this kid.
It was concerning how quickly they all started to see him as a friend considering it was them as vigilantes he interacted with the most. Tim was the only one who saw him frequently when out of the suit because he was a regular at Danny’s day job. (He worked as a barista in the coffee shop Tim favored.) The others saw him occasionally but more often than not it was just in passing. Steph, Duke, and Dick had to stop themselves from approaching him on the street.
It was odd, one day he had just moved to Gotham, seeming to appear out of nowhere, and then the next he was a constant presence in their lives. Usually armed and ready with a concerning or odd quip, it had started with him being another victim of the city’s petty criminals and had snowballed from there.
Now it wasn’t like the bats saw Danny everyday, but it was expected that he would cross paths with at least three of them before the end of the week. They ran into him more often than any other Gothamite, including the criminals and rouges they fought.
At first the constant meetings by “coincidence” was suspicious. If he wasn’t the one being saved from a mugging, kidnapping, or city wide villain assault, then he was near by and trying to help.
(“Trying to help” usually meant drawing attention to himself so the original victim could escape. Once it had meant Danny armed with a baseball bat against four grown men. Bruce and Dick have tried to talk to him about putting himself in harms way but the kid is surprisingly elusive when he wants to be. Yet, even when avoiding Batman and his eldest, Danny could be found on the patrol route of another family member.)
But honestly? The guy seemed just as exhausted as they were of seeing each other. By the twelfth time in a month, Danny had accused them of stalking him.
The background check Bruce and Tim had run came back clean and he never seemed to be involved in the various criminal activities. He was just there, a weirdly unlucky bystander. So as far as Dick and the others could see, Danny was a completely normal dude. He just said strange things and wasn’t intimidated by them, he actually made it a point to be unhelpful sometimes. When trying to learn his name he gave them the run around for two months. (“I know about stranger danger. I don’t care how often you say you’re the ‘good guys.’ I’m not falling for it.”)
On one memorable occasion Danny had disappeared for a week and a half. When they started to assume the worse, he popped back up behind the counter at work. Tim had relaxed significantly when he entered the shop to Danny organizing pastries in the display case. Once he’d placed his order, the young CEO asked Danny if he’d been on vacation. To which Danny had just sighed and told Tim “I wish, but no I was called to court to handle some affairs I couldn’t get out of.” (After a check to see if Danny had gotten charged with something and coming back empty, Tim had concluded that it was an odd way to say he had had jury duty.)
Thinking about it now, outside a stray comment or two, Danny didn’t talk about himself or his life. They knew he didn’t have a good relationship with his parents, “they were much more goal oriented than that joke of a kidnapper, but I think drugs do that to a person.” (It was still unclear if he meant his parents were kidnappers themselves or on drugs.) They knew he had an older sister who would “kill me again if she finds out I was in another bank robbery.” They also knew he was, possibly, depressed after last week’s comment of “is it considered murder if you’re already dead but, like, still alive?” (Damian had saved him from a drug ring but after another “baby ninja” comment the young Robin had threatened to give Danny back to his would-be murderers.)
Dick knew Danny was a weird guy who never wanted to elaborate on the things he said. (Jason was still confused on what he meant by “rotted milk soul.”) That didn’t mean the comments themselves didn’t say a lot about him. And tonight’s comment, accompanied by the prominent and jagged autopsy scars, said more than Danny was probably willing to share.

Bruce was sitting in front of a fire. He had just gotten done cooking his dinner, and had began eating. A teen he didn’t recognize sat next to him. Bruce barely paid the teen any attention; in this time period, kids were more fiercely independent than the teens of his age were.
“So,” The teen drawled, getting his attention.
Bruce internally growled. He didn’t want to make small talk. Just as he was about to tell the teen off, the teen continued speaking.
“What’s Bruce Wayne doing in 1732?”
He choked on his food. He hadn’t heard that name in years. He had gotten stuck in the past during a League mission, and apparently, nobody could save him… or maybe they didn’t know when to look. He had covered his tracks well, since he didn’t want to disturb the timeline too much.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He deflected.
“Oh? So we’re playing it like that?” The teen hummed, swinging his legs. “You won’t be born for over two hundred years, in a city that doesn’t exist yet, to fight crime as the vigilante known as Batman.”
The teenager was a time traveller. Hope sparked him his chest. Maybe… maybe he could go home. “You’re a time traveller.” He chose to ignore the part where the teen knew he was Batman.
“Yeah,” The teen said. “I’m Danny. I’m from your future, about, uh, five years after you vanished? Dick adopted me. Found me dead in an alley and brought me back to life. Brought me into the fold, and stuff. I have powers, and one of them is to travel in time. You wouldn’t believe how hard it was to find where you went.”
The teen looked like adoption bait. He could understand why Dick would’ve adopted him. But then again, he was still stuck on the part where Dick had adopted a kid at the same age he had adopted Dick.
“Are you here to take me home?” He asked.
“If you want to.” Danny hummed, “But uh, can’t be to the time you left. Timeline disruptions and all that, yknow? I can take you to my time. It’s like… ten years after you vanished.”
“Please.” Bruce begged. And how far had he fallen to beg a teen?
Danny grinned. “Dad’s going to be so jazzed!”

“Your brother is adorable.” The cashier cooed at Danny, peering over the counter with a smile. “What’s his name?”
Danny looked down to the surly, scowling little de-aged Batman currently holding onto his hand, glaring up at the cashier with bright blue eyes.
Things had already been bad enough when he’d gotten caught in a fight in Gotham, but things went from bad to worse when a magician had hit Batman with a de-aging spell and then shoved them through a portal.
Into a different fucking dimension.
Because of course neither of their lives could be easy. And now the two of them were stuck in Iowa in the middle of nowhere, at a truck stop gas station, trying to go on a cross-country roadtrip to reach the nearest hero city and get home.
He looked up and smiled awkwardly, trying to come up with a name off the top of his head — one of the heroes called Batman ‘B’ when he got hit right? B for Batman, right. B… B… Bee… Bees.
“Buzz.” He said, and tried not to grimace as the cashier’s face warped with surprise. “Like the astronaut.”
This was gonna be a long trip.
#dpxdc#dp x dc#danny fenton is not the ghost king#dp x dc crossover#dpxdc crossover#dpdc#older brother danny except its BRUCE’S TUUURRRB#why are they in another dimension? because otherwise they’d be found too quickly :)#danny has a backpack on him and irs currently holding bruce’s batman suit#bc ofc he’s not gonna leave that in a cornfield for someone to find#he’s extremely weirded out and antsy by the fact that he can see batman’s face#despite being a kid. it Feels Wrong. its respect for the secret identity#how old is bruce? younger than 10#dpdc prompt#dpxdc prompt#older brother danny in progress#danny’s like. 15-ish thats why he’s so anxious#confident danny is fun and all but nervous danny ftw#none of their tech works bc they’re in a different dimension#its their ‘zuko life changing adventure’ trip. the cross country is vital to the bonding experience#nothing says ‘brotherly bonding’ like being forcibly shoved i to the next door dimension and going on a cross country road trip to get help#danny being a random dead kid hero. nobody important other than to his city and now he’s gotten himself involved with batman and co#danny: his name is buzz :) *internally screaming*#bruce is wearing stolen kid clothes they both look homeless#danny doesnt know bruce’s secret identity and vice versa#this is gonna be so fun danny’s gonna keep forgetting that bruce isnt actually a kid#bruce has the memories of his adult self but everything is kid-sized including his brain#so he’s not developmentally an adult all. his brain is that of a kid’s#starry says its bruce’s turn with the big brother >:((

Here's another short dpxdc prompt
"Daddy!" Dick instictively caught the kid before she kissed the floor despite knowing she can fly and-- wait a damned minute. That is not Mar'i.
Meanwhile...
"Papa!" Danny smiled as he braced himself for the flying missile of a child that raced to him. He swirled them around when he caught her making her giggle as her legs swing. Hold the fuck up-- This is not Ellie.
