#two husband fighting over their spouse lol
yestrday · 6 months
Note
Idk if it’s just because I’m TREMENDOUSLY down bad for the malewives, but whenever I read a segment about them getting jealous I kinda just want to be really gentle, reassuring, and over all sweet to them (picture just cupping their face and giving them cute little pecks while you calm them down <333)
The boys don’t like that some other girls perfume is on me and are wondering why it was on there in the first place? I completely understand their concerns. One of my friends had gone to me crying for advice on a fight she had with her girlfriend, and I just had to soothe her + give her some relationship advice and gush to her about my lovely husband afterwards!
They are worried I’m becoming more distant due to my work? The boys think that I’m not being affectionate enough? I can’t believe I’ve done such a horrible thing without noticing! I’ll call in a sick day at once and plan a cozy date just for two of us to relax and cuddle and I’ll talk to them about ways I could show them even more affection and ask them what they prefer!
My dearest husband thinks I’m working too long and that he thinks I’m forgetting about him for someone at work? I’m horrified I didn’t see how he felt sooner! I’ll immediately talk about slightly cutting back my long hours, and I’ll even get up early before work to leave him little sticky notes that confess my love for him! I’ll text him on my short breaks and I’ll call on my lunch break too!
I’m just such a massive simp I can’t help but want to be “gentle and caringly earnest spouse” who would 100% gush about them to all my friend and co-workers <33 (This is just a brain rot / rant! Def not a request lol)
ah <3<;3 they are your husband after all! your ever devoted, ever loving, ever faithful husband! it's common sense that you have to treat them with the same praise and fervor that they do to you!
venti's pouting about how you're working overtime? he's laying back dramatically on the couch, whining with practiced dramatic effect about how cruel you are for leaving your poor hubby with no one to share these cold nights. you watch him with crossed arms and an amused smile, knowing exactly what game he's playing at. yet you still come to him and hug him from behind, peppering his squishy cheeks with kisses and soft apologies. venti giggles at you, and grins widely when your touches go lower.
thoma doesn't look right these days, with how you keep drinking out with your clients. you always go home buzzed and reeking of other people, and although he tries to hide it, your dining utensils have been slightly bent, haven't they? when he comes home from a grocery trip, you surprise him with dinner, dressed in his frilly apron. the dullness in his eyes washes away, and with a pleasant gasp he rushes into your arms and start sniffling about how much he misses you.
the servants have been telling you that xingqiu's been in a snappy mood ever since you left for your business trip. when you open the door to his study, you can see the briefest surprise flit across his face before he adopts a mask of indifference. ah, so he's going to ignore you, huh? well, no matter. you sidle up to him and say your apologies, whispering about how you've missed him terribly so. that you couldn't eat properly knowing you left your dear husband alone. he's still refusing to acknowledge you, huffing behind his book, but you can see his eyes crinkle into a smile.
anyway! what's the point of marriage if you two won't devote yourselves to each other? nothing else matters, does it? why should work stop you from showering your sweet husband from the love that he so deserves?

Lol headcanons for Douma and Akaza pregnant demon wives being besties? Like Akaza hated Douma but the wives are like best friends and often go get tea? Like headcanons
The idea of Akaza sat (absolutely fuming) watching his wife having fun with Doma's - both of you laughing and drinking tea like no ones business - all the while, Doma's sat next to him yapping away, genuinely makes me giggle.
Akaza sat there with a face of thunder while Doma's all smiles (≧▽≦) and the wives sat enjoying themselves
Also for those who haven't read the headcanons about the pregnant S/O's both can be found on my masterlist but for ease I've linked them HERE (akaza) and HERE (doma) and while you don't have to technically read them to read this set of headcanons, please give them a read if you want!
I'll be starting with Akaza's reaction first and end on Doma's (^ω^.)
P.S I will be adding more stuff to this later but where i am is currently going through a heat wave and its causing me to melt (T^T) so i'm not running at full capacity
Doma and Akaza's pregnant S/O's being friends - Headcanons:
Tumblr media
While Akaza's happy for you (his wife) to have a friend - especially someone who understands on a physical and mental level what its' like being pregnant and is going through the same experiences you are (even if they do differ slightly) - he's just not happy that it's doma he has to hang around with on occasion...
Now, Doma's wife is lovely so Akaza has no problem with her - always respectable towards her (as usually) and she's always a delight to talk too
Plus she's your best friend so it's safe to say that Akaza's always welcoming with her
It's just Doma he has a problem with....
More so than usual..
Always having to tag along when his wife comes over for one of your daily catch-ups especially the further along the both of you are with the pregnancy...
And while akaza understands the need and want to be near his spouse, it had to be fucking doma that was your friends spouse
Your best friend (absolutely lovely) and Doma (her husband) is a combo he hates
Genuinely when its one of your tea "party" meet-ups, Akaza wants to pull his hair out and break Doma's face because he just doesn't shut up - like, at all - once he starts talking
You'd have thought he'd have built up a tolerance for Doma earlier - especially with upper moon meetings and all - but surprisingly he hadn't until now
75/100 Akaza's in protective husband mode
Tumblr media
Greatly amused and very happy!
Happy that you - his pregnant wife - have a friend who's going through the same labor of growing a life form inside of you AND it being Akaza's kind wife
Honestly Doma didn't really care who your friends (and their spouses) were until hearing its your bestie and her husband Akaza
The it became a whole other ball game
A game which he absolutely makes the most out of it
Did try to butter-up your bestie to get info on Akaza (for blackmail) but all that happened was they became friends too - Now those two are the one's with all the gossip.... A scarily large amount of gossip...
You see his eyes light up with glee whenever a friend date's been organised cause he knows that Akaza's gonna be there with your friend - at least he's out of your hair for an hour or two even if poor Akaza's the one he's now annoying
God forbid you start making plans in front of him with your bestie
Much like an excited puppy he sits there patiently, listening, waiting for the time to strike to slip in a simple, "Oh why don't you just stay for dinner? Possibly even the night?" - you'd be surprised how many times he's suggested this
There's a 50/50 that he goes off to bother Akaza, ends up in a fight and gets being brought home by your bestie (and akaza) just because you haven't seen her in awhile (and he wanted to bother akaza..)

Growing up, your mom always told you stories about marriage and weddings. How a woman's wedding was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, a once in a lifetime moment. Ever since the first story, you dreamed about the day you would get that moment, planning your dream wedding down to the very last detail. As a child, you imagined a royal ceremony in a grand castle, wearing the most beautiful and lavish dress you could ever imagine. Your husband would be royalty for sure, a man who would love and cherish you for as long as you both shall live. You would be happy together, have the perfect family, and live beautifully in your life of luxury. Looking back at those memories, you realized that you should have been careful about what you wished for. You were getting that wedding you always wanted, but it would not be under your terms. The other thing you learned young was that the world you lived in was not simple, in fact one may consider it the merging of two separate worlds. Two dominant races ran this world and fought for power, similar enough to coexist but different enough to segregate them to keep the world in balance.
For centuries, humans were the dominant race on Earth. The knowledge of others existed, but their numbers were far too small to be considered a challenge, so humans called the shots. Then, overtime, vampires became a much more prominent presence, easily taking over and claiming areas for themselves. Regions quickly became divided as vampires took control of certain areas, forcing humans to either fight back or surrender to the change. This caused a conflict for many years until leaders on both sides met and finally came to an agreement. They would coexist and operate together, with humans during the day and vampires at night. The agreement was sealed with a marriage of the royal families that united both sides. From that moment forward, it had become customary for the most powerful vampire families to marry one of their kin to a human as a way to honor the unity. The marriage would be sealed by the vampire claiming their spouse by taking their blood on their wedding day, and from there the human could choose if they wished to stay that way or transition to a vampire by drinking the blood of their mate.
You were born a human, raised in a lower class family who often struggled to make ends meet. You were an only child, and your parents did the best they could to make sure you had everything you needed growing up. You did your best in school and worked a part time job at a local bakery. Overall, you felt that you were pretty average but nothing special, especially not someone that any royal family would set their eyes on. Hell, you never even recalled meeting a vampire so you couldn’t imagine you would catch one's attention, but somehow you did.
Your whole world changed on the night of your 23rd birthday, being awoken to a knock at your door. Standing there, dressed in a black and red suit with a devilish smile, was one of the most ethereal beings you had ever laid your eyes on. He was tall, with piercing eyes and an almost dark aura to him, his fangs undeniably poking out against his lip as he smiled. You didn’t know what you expected vampires to look like, but it certainly was not this. He bowed and introduced himself as Mingyu, the head servant of the Wen family. He then explained that they had been observing you for quite some time and wanted to ask for your hand in marriage to their eldest son. You had been too stunned to speak, staring at Mingyu as if he had two heads while your parents argued against the idea. You had wanted to refuse also, not wanting to marry someone you had never met, let alone a vampire. However, they had promised protection and financial stability for you and your family as long as you stayed mated to him and provided an eventual heir to the bloodline. As much as you hated the idea, you knew deep down that it was what was best for your family, and so you said yes and prepared to move into the Wen family estate, where you now resided.
You had been living here for a few years now and never found adjusting any easier. Your wedding to Wen Junhui was set to take place within the next month, falling on the first full moon after your birthday. You didn’t quite understand how everything worked but you remember Mingyu explaining to you that this would be the time where the energy was highest and you were both at your prime. There was a chance for mating bonds to go wrong so this was the best chance of eliminating that risk. You had tried to ask what happened when it went wrong but all Mingyu did was pat your head and tell you not to worry about it.
That time had been spent allowing you to learn about the family and adjust to what your new life would be. Mr. and Mrs. Wen had met you almost immediately upon your arrival, giving you a once over before welcoming you with open arms. You learned a lot about the family, and about vampires in general from them, helping you to adjust more to your new life. Mr. Wen was born into the family and had been around for many hundred, if not almost a thousand years despite the fact that he didn’t even look 50. Mrs. Wen had been a human when she married into the family, making the decision to transition and stay with her husband when she was in her late 20s. Though she had also explained that she had only been turned after her 30th birthday so she was, technically, significantly younger than her husband. This made you question how age worked with vampires, especially the aging. All you were told was the brief explanation that aging was slower and it took many years for them to age the way a human would in one or two. There was also something about blood slowing down the process but you decided to tune that part out for your own sanity.
You were also informed about the family line, and how the head of the family would change every couple hundred years to keep up with the changing times, though the original head will often stick around for a while before moving on. The family had two known sons, with Jun being the oldest and only bred vampire which gave him the title by birth right. In human years, he would have just turned 26 making him a few years your senior, when in reality he was slowly nearing 300 years old which was the prime age for a vampire, if not still a bit young. He also had a younger brother, Minghao, who was a transitioned vampire. The human born son of one of the servants that Mr. Wen took in and claimed as his own child. The two brothers, despite not being blood related, were very close and did almost everything together. They had been traveling together at that time, so you hadn’t been able to meet either until a while later.
It had been during dinner (or breakfast for the family), when the two brothers finally returned. Polar opposites in style and personality, but both striking in their own way. Minghao was more delicate but striking in his features, jet black hair falling over his face in messy locks and dressed in an all black trench coat that hid most of his frame. He did not speak much around you, but when he did his voice was soft and his words were sharp and to the point, he had almost reminded you of one of your highschool professors. He acknowledged you briefly with a calm smile before excusing himself to his study, leaving you to finally turn and acknowledge your soon to be husband.
You would have been lying if you said Junhui wasn’t one of the most gorgeous men you’d ever seen. Immediately you could tell he was taller and had a larger build than his younger brother. His gaze was softer but still had an alluring touch to it, almost as if he looked bored. His hair was longer, practically touching his shoulders with a striking blonde color. Most of it was slicked back but a few strands fell in front of his eyes. He had been wearing a slick black button down with the top three buttons undone, tucked into fitted pants that suited him nicely. You were immediately attracted to, if not very intimidated by the man standing in front of you, even when he gave you a gentle smile and sat beside you. “Y/N,” he had muttered softly, taking your hand and kissing it, “I am so happy to finally meet you.” His voice was soft, and even a bit higher pitched than you had been expecting, and he seemed more than eager to get to know you.
ღ ღ ღ ღ ღ
From that moment forward, it seemed like Junhui, or Jun as he preferred you to call him, would not leave you alone. He was always following you around, attempting to talk to you or get you to acknowledge him. Whether it be genuine questions, teasing you over the smallest things, or even flirty advances, it seemed that no matter where you went Jun was there. You gave into him occasionally, but for the most part you found his presence to be quite annoying. Yeah you knew you were being forced to marry him but you hadn’t expected him to be all over you the second you met him. You figured, or more like hoped, that the two of you would stay acquaintances at most and just keep the formalities when his family was around, but it seemed like Jun had different ideas.
You tried your best to tolerate him, but as your wedding drew closer you found the whole thing weighing on you more and more. The situation became too real for your liking and suddenly you were questioning if this was really a good idea. You were marrying a complete stranger, someone who was infatuated with you but you wanted nothing to do with. You were expected to spend your life with this man and eventually have children with him and you didn’t know him, let alone love him. The thought alone made your skin crawl, trying to suppress the thoughts of what would happen on your wedding night, all for the family to stay in power. Unfortunately there was no way for you to change your mind, knowing that your family would suffer if you tried to back out was the only thing keeping you from running away. Instead you developed a new routine, sleeping through the night while they were up and taking advantage of the daytime to sneak out and enjoy the last few days of your freedom. Today was no exception, with you waking up early and pacing around your room, waiting for the day to arrive so you could sneak out and meet up with your friends.
Looking out the window, you saw the sun slowly starting to peak out over the horizon, just enough to paint the sky with a purple hue. Within the next hour or so it would be light out and, if your calculations were correct, the family would be asleep by then. Mr and Mrs Wen specifically were likely already in bed by now, the older vampires having no desire to wait for the sun. They were much more sensitive to the light as you had learned, keeping their curtains drawn hours before the sun even thought of rising. They were easy to sneak around, often following the same schedule so you knew where they would be at what time. Minghao was a bit trickier, the man not following a set schedule and often staying up way past when his peers had gone to bed. However, you also learned that he was a bit of a recluse, preferring to stay in his room or study whenever possible. Even when he did catch you, he seemed to either understand your feelings or not care enough to stop you, simply giving you a nod and a knowing look as you made your way out the door. You made a mental note to thank him one of these days for not stopping you or ratting you out to his parents.
Jun, on the other hand, was not as easy as his family. You weren’t sure if he liked the thrill of being up when it was day or he just didn’t trust you but he would be up for hours before finally resting. Sometimes you found him in his study working on who knows what and other times you had run into him chatting with one of the servants in the kitchen as if that was a normal occurrence for him. Well, technically it was, but that didn’t mean you liked it any more. Day time was the only time you ever had to yourself, enjoying the quiet and freedom before you would be forced to adapt to the nightlife. Though it seemed your soon to be husband didn’t like the idea of leaving you alone, always knowing where you were and sneaking up on you like the two of you were playing a twisted game of hide and seek.
“Enjoying the view Sweetheart?” speak of the devil, you nearly jumped out of your skin when you heard his voice behind you. You hadn’t even heard him enter your room so you had no idea how long he had been there. Jun chuckled at your obvious shock as he walked up behind you, reaching out to close the curtain before the rays of the sun could peak out and threaten him. Glancing at him over your shoulder, you saw that he had ditched his usual suit and jewels for his pajamas, a simple white shirt and baggy pants, giving you hope that this visit would be short.
“I thought you would be in bed,” you muttered as you turned to face him fully.
“Without saying goodnight?” he questioned, “I would never! You should know that by now.” He hummed in thought for a moment as he glanced down at you, bottom lip finding its way between his teeth, “Though judging by the way you’re dressed I’m assuming you’re staying up again. I don’t understand why though, it’s so lonely when everyone's asleep isn’t it?”
“I like being alone, and I’m not ready to give up my life just yet for the sake of your family,” you argued, making the male wince as if your words burned him.
“You really don’t like me do you?” he asked, or more like whined which made you roll your eyes. Surely the fact that an all powerful vampire such as himself was pouting at you like a kicked puppy was pitiful. Still, it seemed to have a bit of an effect on you as you sighed softly.
“It’s not that I don’t like you,” you started to explain, “I mean come on we’re practically strangers and I’m supposed to give myself up to you completely in a few weeks time, do you really expect me to be happy about that?” You watched Juns eyes shift around the room for a moment, clicking his tongue as he processed what you said. His slender frame leaned against the support of your bed with his arms crossed over his chest as he looked back at you.
“We wouldn’t be strangers if you gave me a chance you know?” he pointed out. You opened your mouth to argue but he cut you off with a single lift of his finger, “From the moment I came home to you I’ve been trying to get close to you and every time you push me away. I like to think I’m a patient man Y/N but your actions hurt me you know? So do tell me how am I supposed to get close to you when you constantly keep me at arm's length?”  You froze, eyes widening and mouth hanging slightly open as you tried to defend yourself. Even though you knew that Jun was right, the prideful part of you didn’t want to admit that fact. Just like you didn’t want to admit that you were too scared to let him get close to you. You weren’t sure if Jun read your mind, or he was just that observant, but you were snapped out of your little daze when you heard him chuckle. “So that’s how you want to play it then? You want to keep me as a stranger despite everything?”
“Is there something so wrong with that?” you challenged, mirroring his position. Juns eyes scaled your form for a moment before sighing and glancing away.
“I am trying you know,” he argued, “I wouldn’t have chosen you to be my bride if I didn’t see something special in you and you won’t even let me prove myself to you. That’s quite cold hearted you know.” You paused for a moment at his confession, not realizing he was the one who chose you but also never seeing him this sincere before.
“What do you mean you chose me? You never even met me before that night?” you questioned, though it seemed Jun was back to his normal self as he merely clicked his tongue.
“That is a story for another time my dear, you still haven’t answered my question?” he urged. Jun adjusted slightly and hardened his gaze as he looked back at you, making you feel tiny compared to him. You bit the tip of your tongue as you tried to think of a way out of this but it was clear he wasn’t leaving without an answer.
“I guess I don’t know what I want,” you admitted sheepishly. Jun hummed in thought and you could have sworn you saw a smirk ghost across his lips before he was hardening his gaze again.
“Well, let's think about it this way then, I want to get you close to me and you are afraid of opening up and letting me do that correct?” you wanted to protest but he shook his head, “It’s a yes or no question Y/N.”
“I suppose,” you whispered, though it seemed he heard you anyway.
“Well clearly neither of us are going to get what we want with how things are now, so why don’t we try something new? If you are willing to put that hard front of yours aside for a minute I have a deal for you,” he proposed, effectively catching you off guard.
“What kind of deal exactly?”
“It’s a simple deal really,” he assured, “one that I think both of us will benefit from. How it works is you give me a chance every day to win your heart. If I succeed, I get to give you a kiss. If I fail, that's a day you get to go out.” Your eyes widened as you processed his words. It seemed like it would be easy for you given how you avoided him thus far, but you knew this also meant he would be trying harder to win your attention. “Of course,” he continued after a moment, “this means you will also have to adapt to my schedule in order to be fair, but I’m sure you’d have just as much fun in the night life.” You nodded and took a moment to think it over, having the sinking feeling that there was more to this agreement than he was letting on.
“What’s the catch?” you asked.
“There’s no catch, it’s as straightforward as I can possibly make it. Our wedding is in three weeks, yes? That gives me ample time to prove myself to you, and if I don’t that’s more free time for you before you end up stuck with me, no?” The more you thought about it, the more you realized he had a point.
“I suppose you’re right, but why are you so insistent on this deal?“ Jun let out an almost annoyed chuckle, but his expression didn’t falter.
“We are destined to be together, you know. Not only is this a chance to be close to you but it’s also a fun build up to the main event where I finally get to kiss you where I want.” His words made you internally cringe, shaking your head to regain your composure.
“This is a terrible idea!” you finally exclaimed, causing Jun to scoff.
“What’s the matter, doll? Are you afraid you’ll fall in love with me?” he raised his eyebrow in a teasing manner. You were sure if you tried to roll your eyes any harder, they would end up stuck in the back of your head.
“I highly doubt I’d ever fall in love with you,” Jun visibly deflated a bit at your words, but regained his composure before you could fully process it.
“Then there’s nothing for you to lose, might as well humor me and prove me wrong no?” It was getting increasingly harder to argue with him, and at this point you just wanted him to go to bed and leave you alone so you reluctantly gave in.
“Okay, fine, you have yourself a deal,” you muttered, “are you happy now?”
“Once you finalize the deal, yes I will be,” Jun agreed, standing up and walking over to you with his arm outstretched, offering his hand to you. You gave him a look of ‘Are you serious?’ before groaning and reaching out to shake his hand. His skin was cool at first, but quickly warmed up with your heat and you also took note of how soft his hand was. He firmly gripped your hand for a moment with a smile before letting go and slipping his hands into the pockets of his pajama pants. “Alright we have a deal, try not to have too much fun out there darling, tomorrow night is when the fun starts,” with that he turned and left your room, the door closing behind him with a gentle click. You stared at the spot he just stood for a minute before sighing and collapsing back down on your bed. Your head spun as you processed the mess you just got yourself into, suddenly no longer feeling like going out.
ღ ღ ღ ღ ღ
The first week following your agreement went by painfully slow. Most of it was you trying miserably to adjust to the nocturnal life, meaning you were way too tired to acknowledge any of Juns advances. He didn’t seem to mind too much though, giving you space and allowing you to enjoy your victory, though you only left the house maybe once the whole time. The rest of the time you were busy staring off into space or reading whatever book you could get your hands on in the study to keep from passing out. Minghao had actually been a great help during this time, giving you story suggestions and even suggesting a certain tea he drank often that could help you stay awake. He also introduced you to Wonwoo, another one of the prominent workers at the manor. Wonwoo had spent most of his life as a scholar so he showed you all the best stories both hardcover and digital. You also learned he had quite a knack for video games and showed you how to access them on one of the computers in the main study. After that, you found it very easy to stay up during the hours of the night, something Jun immediately took notice of.
“Good Morning Starlight,” you jumped at the sound of his voice as you stepped into the kitchen, turning to see Jun perched up against the counter. He wasn’t as dressed up as he normally was, wearing only a thin shirt and leather pants with the familiar family jewels adorning his fingers and ears. His hair also wasn’t slicked back like it normally was, merely brushed to keep his bangs out of his eyes. He also didn’t appear to have any makeup on, the familiar black shadow from his eyes all but gone. You hated how attractive he looked even when he didn’t seem to be trying. Though the main thing that caught your attention was his lips, stained red from the thick red liquid he was swirling in a glass. Every few moments he would sip at it as if the drink were a fine red wine, though you knew better than to try and trick yourself. “It’s cows blood, don’t worry,” he muttered when he noticed your hesitation, “we only really need to drink blood maybe once or twice a week to keep up our strength. The supply is donated to us from the local butcher and lasts quite a while. We never feed from humans, unless they offer themselves to us of course.” You blinked a bit as you processed his explanation, again watching the liquid slosh around as he spun the glass between his fingers.
“I take it you don’t get offers very often?” you questioned, not really sure you wanted to know the answer.
“You’d be surprised,” he responded, “a lot of humans get curious. They come to us asking just for just a quick bite, allowing them to know the sensation. There’s a rumor going around that a bite from a vampire can be quite pleasurable and they want to know if it’s true so they basically throw themselves at us. It’s kind of funny if you ask me.” You raised an eyebrow at him as he answered the question, addressing the topic like it was the most simple thing in the world. Though you also noticed the underlying tone in his voice when he mentioned pleasure, knowing immediately what he was implying.
“Does it taste different then?” you asked, and this time it was his turn to raise an eyebrow.
“Is this really something you’re interested in or are you just trying to make conversation?” when you shrugged he chuckled, “well in a way yes it does. I can’t really describe it to you but the different proteins and types change the flavor.” He quickly finished his drink and set the glass to the side, wiping his lips with his sleeve. “I’m flattered you’re actually taking interest in me though, it means a lot,” he teased as he walked over to you, “enough about me though, I’m guessing you’re hungry right? How about I get you breakfast and then we go through a walk around the manor.” You nodded softly and he smiled, patting your shoulder and motioning for you to take a seat. Jun hummed softly as he roamed around the kitchen, grabbing an assortment of different items and setting them down in front of you before taking a seat himself.
“Did you just grab the whole kitchen?” you asked, slowly beginning to pick at the food in front of you.
“I’m not too sure what you like so figured I’d just grab what we had. You’re also the only one who requires food to survive so we don’t have much at the moment,” he confessed.
“You mean to tell me you guys only drink blood?” you exclaimed, making him laugh.
“No of course not,” he replied with a chuckle, “we still like to drink and have meals but it’s just for the fun and taste of it. We don’t really get any sustenance from meals like this.” To prove his point he snatched a grape from one of the bowls in front of you, rolling it between his fingers before popping it delicately into his mouth. You hummed in thought as you copied his action, letting the flavors rest on your tongue for a moment before grabbing a roll. There was a silence that fell over the both of you, you focused on eating and Jun watching you intently. Normally this would make you shy away from him but something about this reaction was oddly domestic and quite comfortable. You tried not to overthink this change though, telling yourself you were just used to his presence now that you had spent a week with him.
“You said you wanted to go for a walk after this?” you remembered as you finished up your breakfast, “doesn’t that seem kind of boring though?” Jun tilted his head and raised an eyebrow at you which made you shrug, “I mean, I’ve pretty much seen everything here already so what’s the point?” This made him chuckle a bit, leaning back in his chair without taking his eyes off of you.
“I can assure you that you haven’t seen everything, so I figured I’d show you a few fun places you haven’t seen yet,” he explained.
“Places like what?” you asked.
“Well for starters, do you really expect to stay in a guest room after we’re married?” he answered your question with one of his own, “we’re going to be sharing a lot so I figured I’d show you where you’d be staying after. There are also a few special places that are technically for family only but I don’t think they will mind if I show you a bit early.” You had to admit, now you were intrigued to find out what was being hidden from you. Jun noticed and smiled at your eagerness, standing up and walking over to where you were still seated, “Once you finish eating I’d recommend grabbing a jacket, it gets a bit chilly at this time. I’ll meet you by the staircase when you’re ready.” With that he patted your shoulder softly and exited the room. You turned your head just enough to watch him leave before sighing and returning your attention to the food.
“He’s planning something, I just know it,” you mutter to yourself, finishing the roll you had been snacking on and putting everything back where you thought it belonged. With that out of the way you ran upstairs to your room and rummaged through your closet for something warm you could put on. It wasn’t that cold in the manor itself so you didn't want to wear anything too heavy, but you assumed based on what Jun said that you would end up outside at some point so you wanted to be prepared. It took a minute for you to finally just settle on a sweater that you could throw over your top, thick enough to keep you warm but not enough to make you overheat.
When you left your room you saw Jun standing by the staircase as promised, though his back was turned to you as he conversed with two individuals you had never seen before. Two other males, one dressed in all black with his hair slicked back and the other in all white with his hair down, almost as long as Juns but not quite. They dressed like polar opposites yet seemed like they belonged together as you watched them talk with your fiance. They were laughing at something, the one in all white even reaching out to hit at Juns arm. You were curious as to what they were talking about, but didn’t want to be rude and interrupt so you stayed put. The other male noticed you after a second, pointing in your direction which made Jun turn to face you.
“Ah there you are, don’t be shy come and join us,” he urged you over. You stayed put for a moment before doing as you were told, silently walking to stand beside Jun with a shy smile. “Y/N meet Joshua and Jeonghan, they have been close friends of the family since even before I was born,” he introduced you, both males bowing their heads to you.
“It’s nice to finally meet you,” Joshua greeted, “though I’m sure we’ll get to know each other very soon.”
“We work very closely with Jun and his family so we were summoned in to help with the wedding, specifically to help you,” Jeonghan explained. You shrunk a little bit in realization, nodding and forcing a smile so as to not be rude.
“Ah I see, then I guess we will get close won’t we?” you muttered.
“I hope so, it would be nice to have a friend that’s normal,” Joshua teased.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Jun whined, “I am normal!”
“Suuure you are,” Jeonghan stated with amusement. The three went back and forth for a minute which made you laugh softly, finding the interaction similar to you and your friends. It didn’t last long though as Jun quickly regained himself, clearing his throat and placing his hand on your shoulder.
“Anyways, I promised this one I’d show her around so we should probably get on that, I’ll see you too before bed though,” with that he was guiding you past the two males, pausing only long enough for you to wave goodbye.
“They seem fun,” you commented as you walked with Jun down the hall.
“They’re a pain but I love them,” Jun agreed, “everyone here is like a big family if you haven’t noticed already.” In reality you had noticed, having seen the way the family interacted with each other and their staff. Of course there was mutual respect but it never seemed like a boss and employee type situation, more like a friendship if anything.
“Is that because of how long everyone's been here?” you asked.
“Perhaps that may be part of it but I wouldn’t say that’s the reason,” Jun replied, “We may all work together but everyone here has a different story for how they got here. For certain people like Joshua and Jeonghan our families ran together so we were raised together. Then you have people like Mingyu or Wonwoo who came from lower class families and grew to bond with us. Or, on the complete opposite side you have my brother, we’re not related by blood and he was born a human but we took him in and I love him just as much as I would if he were born into the family.” Jun paused for a moment before shaking his head with a soft laugh, “I’m rambling now but my point is that it doesn’t matter where you come from or how long you’ve been around someone, it’s all about the bond you build with them.” You sighed as you processed his words, casting your gaze down to the floor. He talked about bonding with someone as if it was the easiest thing in the world and yet here you were, making things more difficult by avoiding him. You never cared about getting to know him before so why did you feel so guilty all of the sudden? If Jun noticed your shift in mood he didn’t say anything, continuing to walk a bit before stopping in front of a door.
“Enough of that though, I’m here to show you what your life will look like with me. This should be an exciting moment,” he gave your shoulder a reassuring squeeze and opened the door, gently nudging you inside. You couldn’t help but gasp as you walked in and looked around the room. Juns bedroom was nearly twice the size of yours, the walls mostly the same white color as the rest of the manor but with red accents that gave it an almost romantic glow. The wall opposite you had large window like doors that opened to a small balcony overlooking the outside of the manor, dark red curtains pulled back to let the moonlight seep into the room. The light hit his bed perfectly, centered in the middle of the room like a centerpiece. Delicately carved wooden frames accented with the same red curtains and satin sheets in the same color. The walls were decorated with a few paintings, one of Jun, another of the family, and the last you couldn’t quite make out but the rest was bare. Cautiously you stepped further into the room, feeling the soft rug tickle at your ankles as you walked to the bed, Jun stayed quiet as he watched you. His figure leaned against the doorway with an amused grin as he watched you explore, touching things so gently as if you were worried they would break.
“Don’t be shy,” he spoke up after a moment, “this will be your room soon enough so don’t be afraid to get used to it.” He closed the door and walked over to where you were, falling back onto the bed and laying with his back against the headboard so he could watch you.
“This room is amazing,” you said in awe, moving away from his bed and walking over to the balcony.
“It’s a bit old fashioned for my taste but it is nice,” Jun remarked.
“Old fashioned?” you asked, to which he nodded softly.
“This original manor was built by my great grandfather when he was elected into power,” Jun explained, “my grandfather and dad made a few changes to the decor to match the changing times but a lot of it is still the same as when it was first built.” Vampire age was still a concept you were confused by, but given how old Mr. Wen was you could only assume the manor was over a couple thousand years old, which was shocking because it looked brand new. “If you’re wondering why it’s in such good condition, it’s gradually rebuilt and redecorated whenever a new head takes over,” he added. You couldn’t help but scoff a bit at how easily he seemed to read your mind, or maybe he was just that used to these questions.
“So do you plan on renovating when you take over?” you asked, brushing your hands across the curtain.
“I have a few ideas, I won’t change much but it would be nice to modernize everything a bit,” he explained, “it would be nice to have a TV in here don’t you think? Maybe a few more computers since I’ve noticed a lot of people here like playing games.” He glanced over at you as he said this, making you smile shyly.
“There was nothing else to do and Wonwoo showed me how to play so...” he cut you off before you could finish explaining.
“It doesn’t bother me at all, I want you to be comfortable here,” he promised. You nodded and glanced back outside, having to focus to see outside through your own reflection. Your fingers brushed against the cool railing, searching for the handle to open the door when you heard footsteps behind you. You could almost feel Jun press against you as he reached up to undo the latch and swing the doors open. “It may be a bit high for you to reach,” he teased, patting your head and brushing past you to walk onto the balcony. You quickly followed, shivering a bit at the cold. The balcony wasn’t large, just big enough for the two of you to stand on it comfortably. Over the railing you could see out into the back gardens, a vast maze of different flowers and other plants illuminated by the moon. In the middle stood what appeared to be a fountain, though you couldn’t make out its shape, and in the distance you thought you spotted a greenhouse. “It’s beautiful isn’t it?”
“It is,” you agreed, looking at the vast array of flowers, “I didn’t even know we had a back garden.”
“There’s only really one way to access it and it’s kind of hidden by the study so it makes sense you didn’t know,” Jun said with a chuckle, “do you want to see it up close?” You eagerly nodded, an action he repeated with a smile, “Alright then, shall we?” He gestured for you to go back into the room, closing the door behind him before offering his arm to you. You hesitated slightly but gave in and wrapped your arm around his, allowing him to guide you out of his room and down the hall. The general study was a place you were familiar with, a large room decorated with multiple wooden desks and bookshelves. The main room branched off into two smaller studies, one that Minghao used as a personal art studio and the other that belonged to Jun, though you’d never seen the older brother use his.
Jun led you through the room to a back area that had previously been concealed by one of the large bookshelves. Had he not led you right to it, you wouldn’t have even noticed that it was there.
“Wow this is hidden,” you commented, Jun nodding and letting go of your arm to open the door.
“There’s quite a few rare plants out here with very special properties. We keep the entrance hidden from guests to keep people from abusing them,” he explained as he opened the door and nudged you through. This time you were prepared for the chill that attacked you as you stepped outside, pulling your sweater closer to your body. Almost immediately your senses picked up on the scents of the various flowers surrounding you. It was almost overpowering but you found it quite pleasurable. Jun wrapped his arm around your shoulders and led you through the rows of flowers and into the clearing. You stopped a few times to glance at certain ones that caught your eye, careful not to get too close and ruin them. Jun didn’t have the best knowledge of all the flowers, but he told you the brief information he did know, such as names or where they were from. You had to give him credit for trying, making it clear that he was trying to impress you, and perhaps it was working.
When you finally made it to the middle of the garden you gasped. You hadn’t been able to make out the full view from the balcony but now you could see everything. The area was outlined with various shrubs and trees that blocked it off from the rest of the garden, though there was an opening that allowed the moon to shine through. There were a few benches nestled into the corner, and in the middle was the fountain you saw earlier. Carved marble base leading up to the silhouette of an angel, the vase she was holding being the part of the fountain that water spilled out of in addition to small jets around the base.
“This is beautiful,” you mused, walking over to take a seat on the fountain. There were a few stray water drops that sprayed you but you paid no mind, closing your eyes and listening to the sound of the water. Jun stayed in his spot the whole time, smiling to himself as he watched you, enjoying the first peaceful moment between the two of you.
“It really is, isn’t it?” he agreed, though he wasn’t exactly talking about the fountain. He couldn’t stop his eyes from trailing across your frame, taking in every detail while you were peacefully unaware of what he was doing. Eventually he got tired of watching you though, moving to take a seat beside you. Your eyes opened as you felt his leg brush against yours, glancing over to see Jun looking up at the sky. Now it was your turn to admire him, taking note of the way his long hair framed his face, and how he seemed to glow under the moonlight. You wondered, if he hadn’t been immortal, would he still be this beautiful? “Like what you see?” he asked without looking away from his spot, making you shy away from him.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” you tried to argue, “I was just enjoying the view of the garden.”
“I take it I am part of the garden then? You’ve been staring at me for at least the past five minutes.”
“Does my staring bother you?” you questioned.
“No not at all,” he assured, finally looking down at you, “in fact I actually find it quite comforting. It means that there’s at least some part of you that’s drawn to me.” You wanted to argue but opted against it, knowing there was no winning with Jun. He smirked at you before glancing at the sky one last time, “Damn, time really does fly by fast doesn’t it. The sun should be coming up soon.”
“Wow already?” you exclaimed, glancing up but not seeing any sign of the sky getting brighter.
“You learn new tricks to tell time when you need to avoid the sun,” he said, “I’d rather go in early than be caught off guard otherwise I would take you to see the greenhouse. If you’re impressed by this I can imagine what you’ll think of it.”
“What happens if you stay out in the sun?” you asked, causing him to side eye you for a moment.
“We don’t burst into flames or anything if that’s what you’re thinking,” he said with a slight hint of amusement, “It does burn us pretty badly though, like think of the feeling you’d get if you kept your hand on a hot stove or even a flame. For purebloods like myself, if we didn’t get inside within a few hours we would likely succumb to the heat and burn. Though some half bred vampires aren’t fully developed so they can go out if they wish.” You let out a soft “oh” before looking away, not even wanting to imagine that pain. Jun gave your shoulder an assuring pat and urged you to look at him, “Don’t worry about me though, I don’t plan on letting myself get hurt anytime soon,” he smiled softly at you, squeezing your shoulder until you smiled back, “there we go I like it better when you smile. You’re more than welcome to stay out here if you wish, but I really should get inside before the sun comes up.” He squeezed your shoulder one last time and was about to get up before he stopped himself, “Oh but before I go, I do believe I get a prize for today, no?” You were confused and about to ask what he meant before remembering the deal you made with him.
“Alright I guess you do win for today,” you gave in. Jun smiled and grabbed your hand, playing with your fingers for a moment before placing a soft kiss on the back of your palm. His lips were soft and slightly cooler in texture, much like the rest of him, but you couldn’t help feeling your body heat up at the contact.
“One of hopefully many,” Jun whispered, his breath and lips tickling your skin, “until tomorrow my love.” He placed your hand back into your lap and stood up, adjusting his shirt as he walked out of the garden, slow enough for you to follow if you wished but not pressuring you. You watched him leave before returning your attention to the fountain with a sigh, glancing down at your reflection in the water. Without Jun beside you, it suddenly felt much colder, the breeze blowing the water onto you like a harsh mist. Still you didn’t move for quite a while, even as the sun rose and you felt exhaustion creep into you, you didn’t want to move. You hated how lonely it suddenly felt without Jun beside you, and you hated the way your hand still tingled where he kissed you. Though you told yourself it was just being flustered and touch starved. Jun was still a stranger to you, and there was no way you could ever see yourself falling for a vampire. You kept telling yourself that as you finally stood up and slowly made your way inside, even as you changed and tucked yourself into bed the words repeated.
You could never fall in love with Wen Junhui.

Unfortunately for you, fate seemed to have other ideas for what you wanted. Jun, encouraged by getting his first kiss, seemed to only up his game as the days went by. Meal dates, going for walks, performing a song for you, even taking you out into town to give you an idea of what the nightlife was like. You quickly learned that things didn’t operate much differently when vampires were running things and most were more than welcoming to you. Jun had taken you to all of his favorite stops, including his favorite restaurant and an arcade he went to with his friends a lot growing up. You also learned a lot more about him during that time. Jun explained to you how his family line is actually from China and they weren’t always as powerful. The Wen name grew with his great grandfather, who had moved in search of business opportunities and ended up in the right place at the right time. Because of their heritage, the family was in charge of many international affairs. You also learned that Jun was multilingual, practically begging for him to say something to you in Chinese when you heard that. Lastly you learned that Jun was a man of many talents, especially when it came to singing or dancing. It felt like you were meeting him for the first time, and every time you learned something new about him you found yourself falling for him more. No matter how hard you tried to deny it, or to distance yourself from him, he always made his way back with a kiss right before the sun rose. After your hand it was your wrist, then the top of your head, then your forehead, and, most recently, your cheek. Every kiss made you tingle and crave more of him, as if there was some type of love potion on his lips that he applied to you with each one. You supposed that wasn’t entirely out of the question but you doubted that Jun would be desperate enough to try a stunt like that.
Not everyday was a victory for Jun though, there had been a few where you weren’t in the mood for his antics or something happened that pulled his attention away from you. Those days he would sigh and tell you to enjoy your night out with a semi forced smile, making sure you knew to call him if something went wrong. You tried to enjoy going out alone those days, and to be fair you did have fun exploring the new shops that were usually closed in the day, but you always felt slightly guilty. Every time you left you saw Juns disappointed expression in your mind and you ended up dragging yourself back to the manor way earlier than you intended. Most of the time he would be busy with something work or wedding related and wouldn’t realize you were home until much later. One time, however, you caught him working in his study, smiling at your presence and inviting you to sit with him as he worked. You ended up staying there for hours talking about whatever came to mind.
Unfortunately, there was a new issue presenting itself that threatened to drive a wedge between the two of you. That issue being the fact that your wedding was now only a few days away. Meaning that not only was Jun being dragged away, but you were as well. The realization of everything happening weighed on you like a million bricks and suddenly it felt like you were back to where you started when you first moved in. You were nervous, on edge, and it seemed like all progress being made with Jun was starting to go backwards. You never saw him anymore, and when you did he was too busy to acknowledge you. The most you ever got was a hello or him telling you how gorgeous you looked before he was being dragged off again to who knows where.
You didn’t even know why the distance upset you so much when not even two weeks ago all you wanted was for him to leave you alone. You did your best to convince yourself that you were just lonely without him, occupying your time by hanging out with any servant you could find or even Minghao. The younger vampire was clearly put off by your sudden attachment to him, but he allowed you to keep him company anyways. You would read with him or sit in his study/studio with him while he worked on a new painting until Jun or a worker came to find you. Minghao definitely wasn’t one for words but you learned quickly that he was good with advice and listening. Whenever he saw that frustrated look on your face he would offer you a glass of tea or wine and listen to you as you vented your frustrations. Depending on your mood he would either then offer you advice or distract you with something else like picking out colors for the wedding. You also quickly learned the younger vampire had quite the eye for color and fashion, so much so that you swear he lit up when you asked him to help you with your wedding dress.
That was exactly what the two of you were doing now, with the assistance of Joshua and Jeonghan. You had been standing in the middle of your room modeling every style, color, and fabric known to man. Jeonghan and Joshua seemed happy with most of the designs, but Minghao still hadn’t found anything he had liked.
“This one’s too long.”
“This one's too short.”
“Neckline on this one isn’t flattering.”
“The dress shape hides your figure too much.”
“This color doesn’t match your complexion at all.”
“This color is cute but the style is all wrong.”
By what easily felt like the millionth try on, you were frustrated and about ready to throw a pillow at Minghao. The male in question was humming softly to himself as he circled around you, clicking his tongue in disapproval.
“Hao, is all of this really necessary?” you whined, struggling to stand up straight as you felt something poking your side.
“Of course it is!” he replied, “you want to look perfect for your wedding right? We should not settle for anything less than perfect.” He circled around you one more time before shaking his head, “We’re getting closer but no this one is still off, next.” You couldn’t help but groan, half tempted to slam your head into the nearest wall when Joshua spoke up.
“I think that’s the last one we have right now and I think Y/N is getting tired,” he stated softly. Minghao sighed and shook his head, muttering something under his breath as Joshua spoke again.
“How about we just sit down and discuss what we did and didn’t like about all of them, so you can narrow down the list and we can find something.” You had half the mind to run over and kiss Joshua for the idea, nodding eagerly when Minghao glanced at you.
“Very well,” he agreed, “go get changed Y/N and we can discuss this, we need to get this done soon so we can find the dress before the wedding day.” You wanted to roll your eyes at the mention of the wedding. Honestly you didn’t care for your dream wedding at this point, you felt like you weren’t getting a say in much and you were so stressed that you just wanted everything to be over.
Nonetheless, you sat down with all three boys and discussed your ideas until you had designed a dress that everyone agreed on. It would be slightly form fitting to flatter your figure, but also allow you to move around freely, with a neckline that was not modest but not too revealing either. The same red, white, and black color scheme that the rest of the family seemed to love, and a few lace accents to make it elegant. You would decide on your accessories and veil later, but Minghao seemed satisfied with the design and ran off to get working, Joshua and Jeonghan hesitantly following after apologizing to you for the younger's attitude.
Exhausted and beyond frustrated, you found yourself leaving your room and going to the one place you knew people would leave you alone, the garden. Tucking yourself away on one of the farthest benches, you sighed and buried your head in your knees. The sound of the fountain and the wind rustling the leaves brought you great comfort as you tried to clear your mind. No more stress about the wedding, no more stress about Jun, no more stress about anything. Why couldn’t your life just go back to the way it was before? Why did you have to be stuck here, getting married to a vampire to help your family? Even worse, why were you actually starting to fall in love with him? Why couldn’t you have just stayed strangers and just used the wedding for show? Part of you wished you never met Jun until your wedding day, then all of this would have been significantly easier.
“There you are,” lifting your head, you locked eyes with the one man who occupied your mind. Jun looked exhausted, his shirt messily unbuttoned under his vest which also wasn’t fastened properly. His eyeshadow was smudged, making it look like he hadn’t slept in years, and his hair was messy as if he just rolled out of bed. He was a mess, and yet you still found him unbelievably gorgeous. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you,” he confessed as he sat down beside you, “Jeonghan told me you were in a pretty bad mood earlier.”
“I suppose you could stay that,” you muttered, “what about you though, you look like a mess.”
“Thanks I tried my best,” he replied sarcastically, though his expression quickly softened, “I just have a lot to do, that's all. My parents have been preparing me for the wedding and taking over the family so I guess I’ve been stretched pretty thin.”
“So I’ve noticed,” you whispered to yourself, Jun heard it though as you felt his arm wrap around you.
“Awe don’t tell me my sweet girl missed me?” he teased, “I’m sorry I haven’t been giving you much attention, will you ever forgive me.”
“Shut up!” you groaned as you nudged him off of you, “who said I missed you?”
“Your actions are worth a million words, you know?” he pointed out. When you didn't respond he huffed and leaned closer as if telling you a secret, “Also you should know that word gets around quickly in this family.” It took you a second to realize what he meant, internally groaning as you realized his brother probably told him everything.
“Remind me to kill Minghao next time I see him,” you hissed which made Jun laugh.
“You can’t kill what’s already dead My Love. Also don’t be mad at him, he’s only trying to help.” You bit your bottom lip and cast your gaze down, watching the grass sway beneath your feet for a moment. Jun quickly dropped the teasing and cleared his throat, tapping your shoulder to get your attention, “Seriously though Y/N, I know I haven’t been around much recently and I’m sorry. I can’t make up for that but I am here now so talk to me, what’s bothering you?” You debated answering for a moment, gnawing at your lip and curling up more. Jun waited patiently for you to collect your thoughts, not taking his gaze off of you as you finally sat up properly and looked at him.
“It’s stupid but this isn’t what I wanted,” you confessed, “I always dreamed about having this royal and lavish wedding and now I’m getting it but not how I wanted. I don’t know anything about how vampire weddings work and I haven’t gotten a single say in anything. I didn’t get to choose who I marry, when, how, hell I barely even got a say in my own dress. It hurts even worse because I’ve been so confused about my feelings for you and now I don’t know what to do.” You took a deep breath after speaking, feeling like a huge weight had been lifted off of you. Jun stayed silent for a second, his occasional blinking the only sign that he hadn’t completely frozen. Then, before you had time to react, he was pulling you against him in a tight hug. You gasped, needing a moment to process the contact before giving in and hugging him back. Your arms wrapped tightly around his waist and your head buried into his chest, ignoring the lack of a heartbeat and instead focusing on his scent. Of course you had been close to Jun before but not like this. His scent was very floral, but there was also a hint that reminded you of herbal tea, it was refreshing and very much him.
“I’m sorry,” Jun muttered into your hair, pulling away from you just enough so that he could look at you, “this is all my fault. I’m the one that dragged you here, and I’m the one that kept you in the dark. I should have told you everything from the beginning.”
“Can you tell me now?” you asked, looking up at him.
“What do you want to know?” he answered you with his own question.
“Everything, why did you choose me? Also what is going to happen at our wedding and what happens after? I want to know so I can prepare.” Jun exhaled harshly but nodded, keeping one hand on your arm while the other moved to run through his still messy hair.
“Well to start, I chose you because I saw something special in you. Families like mine always married off their next in line to a human, that’s an agreement to keep things fair on both sides. I am the oldest son and so I knew when the time came I would need to find someone to marry, my parents knew this too so they often sent me out during the day. I was disguised of course and protected from the sun, so I think I did a good job blending in. You probably don’t even remember that you’ve met me before, I stopped by your work one day with a friend. I don’t know why but something about you was different, special, I knew that exact moment that you were the one. So I asked my friend to get to know you and everything he told me only proved to me that I made the right decision.” You tried your hardest to remember ever getting close to someone that would know Jun, or even when you saw him before but your mind was coming up blank.
“What was your friend's name?” you asked, desperate to know who it was he was talking about.
“Kwon Soonyoung, but he often had people call him Hoshi,” your eyes widened at the name, recognizing it as one of your old coworkers. He started working there about a month after you and you two became friends almost immediately, you had no idea that he had any connection to someone like Jun.
“Him, really?” you asked.
“What, didn’t expect that I could befriend a human?” he questioned.
“No no not that it’s just, how did I have no idea?” Jun smiled and patted your head playfully, laughing as it messed up your hair.
“You not knowing means he did his job well, but yeah I learned about you through him, and then when I was told it was time, I sent Mingyu to get you. The timing wasn’t the best though as Hao and I had to return back to China to deal with a few personal matters, which is why you spent the first year with just my parents,” he explained. You were both silent for a moment as you processed the information, then Jun spoke again, “as for the wedding, it will probably be a bit different than you’re expecting. Everything will still happen that does at a normal wedding, but there is also the business element and the mating ritual that goes along with it. All our friends and family will be there, but so will the main political powers on both sides to ensure that the wedding is official, so it may be a bit more crowded than you’re used to. Though it is your wedding as much as it is mine so if you would like to join me in planning things I would love to have you with me.” You nodded and smiled, glad he was giving you the chance to be involved, though your smile quickly dropped as you remembered the mating part.
“What exactly is the mating ritual?” you asked, albeit a bit hesitant. Jun sighed, almost looking like he didn’t want you to ask.
“Divorce isn’t really a thing in our life,” he started, “so vampires are known to ‘mate’ for life I guess you could say. When we marry the bond between us is shared by a blood exchange, it will keep me connected to you, allow me to know what you’re feeling and be close to you even if not physically.”
“A blood exchange, that means that...” you trailed off.
“I will have to bite you,” he answered your question for you, “but it will be quick I promise and you can choose where you want me to do it.”
“Will it hurt?”
“It shouldn’t, remember I said most people even say it’s pleasurable. You’ll feel a little prick and then after that it should just feel warm,” he explained.
“I don’t have to drink your blood though, right?” you asked.
“Not unless you want to become a vampire yourself,” he responded with a chuckle, “but you don’t have to decide that now.” You nodded softly, looking down and feeling your cheeks heat up as another question entered your mind.
“Umm, what about the wedding night?” you immediately regretted the question as you saw a mischievous glint in Juns eye.
“Why are you that excited for what’s going to happen?” when he saw you blush harder he snickered and patted your shoulder, “relax Qinqin I’m just teasing you. Eventually my parents are going to expect an heir to the Wen family, but if you’re not ready on our wedding night we can just share a drink and relax.”
“What if I am ready?” you asked yourself outloud, not really thinking about it until you saw Juns expression.
“Are you ready?” he pushed, you quickly felt shy and looked away, but he placed his fingers under your chin to make you look at him.
“Yes? No? I mean...I don’t know I don’t even know how I feel about you,” you confessed. Jun hummed in thought and you could have sworn you saw him blushing a bit himself.
“I think you do know and you’re lying to yourself,” he whispered. Your eyes widened as he drew slightly closer, barely inches away from you. His dark eyes were blown and piercing as they stared at you, your own glancing down on his lips then back at his eyes. “Just admit it Y/N,” he whispered, “I won, you’re falling for me.” Your breath hitched, wanting to turn away but feeling like you were frozen in place. Jun huffed and leaned forward, placing a kiss to the side of your lips, just enough to tease you. Your eyes fluttered for a moment at the contact before opening again and looking up at him in confusion. “That’s how I know you do feel something for me,” he pointed out, placing another kiss to your forehead before pulling away, “don’t worry my dear, you’ll get the real thing in a few days, just be patient.” You didn’t know whether you wanted to hit him at that moment or pull him close to you and kiss him. He didn’t give you the option though as he was standing up and excusing himself, letting you know that he would be in his room if you needed company. You whined to yourself as you were quickly up on your feet and rushing after him, not wanting to be alone just yet.
“I’ll get you back for that Wen Jun!”
ღ ღ ღ ღ ღ
You definitely took Jun up on his offer to join him in wedding planning, getting a say in everything from the decor to the catering. You also got a glance into the life Jun lived, watching as he handled different affairs and communicated with different workers. It was honestly endearing watching him in his element, though you did your best to stay out of his way. Whenever he wasn’t too busy though you guys were enjoying your time together, oftentimes with him having his arm around you while you looked at decor ideas for the manor or holding your hand as you organized seating for the wedding. That domestic feeling returned and this time you didn’t fight it, actually finding yourself excited for your wedding.
It felt like only a minute before the day in question came, you were woken up early when Minghao, Joshua, and Mrs. Wen burst into your room. The sun hadn’t even set completely, as you could see the rays poking out through a crack in your curtains. Minghao quickly rushed to pull them fully closed though as Mrs. Wen placed a tray with fruit and tea on your nightstand.
“Rise and shine my dear,” she urged, “it’s time to get you ready for your big day!”
“Already?” you asked, rubbing the sleep from your eyes, “it’s so early.”
“Yes but there’s a lot to do,” the older woman reminded, “we need to get you fed and dressed, do your hair and makeup, and then get the final preparations ready. Our guests will start arriving in a few hours so we need to make sure everything is done now.” You groaned softly but nodded, taking the tea from the tray and sipping at it as you woke up, Mrs. Wen fretting over your health and complexing as Minghao and Joshua focused on getting your dress. “You look a little pale my dear, do you need anything? I can go get you some medicine.”
“I’m fine I promise, just a bit nervous,” you assured.
“Mom, relax, I’m sure you remember how nervous you were when you got married,” Minghao argued, making a few last minute adjustments on your dress.
“You shouldn’t listen to everything your father says, you weren’t even there,” the woman argued, though Minghao only giggled as he focused on his work. You also laughed a bit at the family's banter before finally giving in and getting out of bed.
“Alright what do you need me to do?” you asked.
“You go wash up and then I’ll help you get dressed, just call when you’re ready for me. Then the boys and I will help make sure everything is in place and do your hair and makeup. By then it should be almost time to start so you can rest,” Mrs. Wen explained. You nodded and made your way to the bathroom, quickly showering and brushing your teeth before calling for help with your dress. It was simple enough that you were mostly able to get it on yourself, but you still needed help with the zipper and the layers. You couldn’t help but look at yourself in the mirror as the older woman helped you out, tearing up at the sight of you in the dress. You hadn’t been the most fond of the idea at first, but seeing yourself in it made you realize how gorgeous it actually was. It seemed your soon to be mother in law agreed as she stared at you in awe. “You look gorgeous Darling,” she praised, adjusting the bodice and allowing you to glance at yourself.
“Thank you, I feel gorgeous,” you agreed. She clapped in excitement before helping you back out to your room where the two males were waiting. Minghao was holding various sewing supplies and Joshua was holding your veil and a few other accessories. Behind them on the bed was a kit which you assumed was for your hair and makeup. Both males smiled as they saw you, Minghao clapping softly as he walked over to you.
“I told you this would be perfect,” he boasted, getting a gentle whack on the back of his head from his mom. He didn’t acknowledge it though as he looked over you to see if there were any needed adjustments. “I’m sorry if this is awkward to ask but,” he said nervously, “but have you decided where you want your…mating bite to be?” The room went awkwardly silent, you stiffening and looking at him which made him rub the back of his neck. “I’m only asking to know if I need to adjust the dress at all so Jun can access it, that’s all.” The room went silent again, all the attention on you as they waited for a reaction.
“It’s fine if you don’t know yet,” Mrs. Wen assured but you shook your head.
“No no it’s fine,” you promised, “I guess I haven’t really thought about it, what would you suggest?”
“Well,” she trailed off as she thought about it, “I personally chose my neck, it’s a bit more intimate than your wrist but it would be easier for him to reach and the mark is easier to hide.” You nodded, placing your finger on your pulse point as you thought about it.
“If you want to consider both options I was bitten on my wrist when I turned,” Minghao said, showing you his wrist where you could clearly see the scar, “it doesn’t hurt but it does feel tingly and if he bites your wrist it may take a bit longer.” You reached out to gently grab the male's wrist, which he allowed, tracing your thumb over the two bite marks then letting him go.
“I guess I’ll go with my neck, it seems easier,” you decided.
“Good choice,” Joshua muttered from his spot on the bed. Minghao nodded and moved to adjust your sleeve, pinning it down a bit so that your neck was exposed.
“That should stay put,” he commented, “all you have to do when it’s time is tilt your head back a bit.” He mimicked the action and you nodded in understanding, not wanting to question how he knew what to do.
“Now then,” Mrs Wen quickly spoke up, “we still have a lot to do, go ahead and have a seat and we’ll finish getting you ready.”
The next three hours were spent making sure everything was absolutely perfect, eventually Minghao had to excuse himself to help Jun and get ready himself but Joshua and Mrs. Wen stayed with you to keep you company. Apparently there was also a moment where Jun tried to sneak in and see you but he was promptly dragged away. To pass the time the two told you stories about the past, specifically stories they knew would embarrass Jun. Moments like him dancing around with his arms behind his back, failing miserably at sports, or just randomly running up to a mirror and saying how handsome he was before running away. Every story made you laugh more as you imagined the Jun you knew doing all these things. Before long you got a knock on your door, one of the female staff poking her head to let you know it was time. Joshua quickly took his leave after giving you a reassuring smile, leaving you with Mrs. Wen. The woman glanced at you to silently ask if you were ready, handing you your bouquet before linking your arms and leading you out of your room and to the stairs.
The manor was set up so that the main room was turned into a ballroom type setting, all of the guests sitting with their backs towards you. At the front of the room, stood by the now decorated front door, was Jun. He was wearing a perfectly pressed white shirt under a black vest with red accents and a matching red tie. His makeup was sharp but toned back a bit, enough to make his eyes look piercing and his lips stand out more. His shoulder length hair was also slicked back, the top layer tied up in a half ponytail. Minghao, Joshua, and Wonwoo were standing behind him, all dressed up in matching suits. At the announcement of your arrival, all the guests immediately turned to face you. Many of them were faces you didn’t recognize, but you could see your close friends and family towards the front, all smiling up at you. Mrs. Wen gave your arm a gentle squeeze before walking you down the stairs and towards the front, your eyes locking onto Juns from behind your veil. He couldn’t see you properly yet, but you swore you’d be able to see his smile from a mile away.
Mrs. Wen bowed her head to the officiant before handing you over to her son and moving to take her seat beside her husband. Jun took your flowers and handed them to Joshua behind him, lifting your veil and running a finger across your cheek.
“You look breathtaking,” he whispered.
“So do you,” you replied. He chuckled softly and grabbed your hand, both of you turning to face the officiant. The majority of the ceremony went by in a blur for you, mainly because you were more focused on the way Jun was looking at you and the way he was holding your hand. Your warmth seeped into him and warmed his skin, and you could feel his thumb rubbing on the back of your palm. You only snapped back into reality when it was time for the rings, Jun slipping a black band with his family's crest engraved on it onto your ring finger, you doing the same for him. With that the officiant closed their book with a satisfied smile.
“It is my honor to present to you Mr. and Mrs. Wen, you may claim your bride.” Jun could no longer hide the mischievous glint in his eye as he looked at you.
“Finally the moment I’ve been waiting for,” he whispered.
“Yeah, me too,” you teased, cupping his cheeks and pulling him down to kiss him. Jun gasped in shock but quickly melted into you, wrapping one arm around your waist and the other cupping your cheek. The room was silent and for a moment it was just the two of you, finally sharing every emotion that you had been hiding from yourselves and each other. Though the moment couldn’t last forever as you had to pull away from each other. Your eyes were glazed over as you looked up at Jun, the male smiling down at you as if you were the most precious thing he’d ever laid his eyes on. Though you remembered that it wasn’t over as you felt him brush your hair away from your neck. You stiffened a bit which he noticed, the hand on your waist rubbing soothing circles into your side.
“Deep breath okay, it’ll be over before you know it,” he promised, “are you ready?” You did what he said and took a deep breath, closing your eyes and leaning your head back like how Minghao had told you.
“I’m ready,” you whispered after a moment, though you didn’t dare open your eyes. Jun didn’t say another word, but you felt his fingers tracing your neck, followed by his lips. You felt him kiss your neck once, then twice, then you felt his fangs poke your skin. You gasped as you felt a sharp prick against your skin, the pain only lasting a second though before you felt a warm tingling sensation. The feeling was hard to place, but it almost felt like your body was going numb despite your senses being heightened. Jun hummed against your neck, sucking for a moment before pulling away and swiping his tongue across the bite. His hand that had been on your shoulder moved to rest against your back to support you.
“How do you feel?” he asked, keeping his grip tight on you just in case you got dizzy. It took a moment for your feelings to return to normal, you relaxing a bit in his arms before opening your eyes and looking up at him.
“I’m okay,” you assured. Jun smiled and nodded, pulling you against him for a moment to kiss the top of your head before turning to face the crowd. The proof of a successful bond had the room erupting into loud clapping and cheer, almost loud enough to be deafening. Jun chuckled a bit as you winced away from the noise, wrapping his arm around you and leading you to the kitchen where a banquet was already prepared.
You stayed beside your husband the whole time, practically hiding behind him as hundreds of people came to greet you. They all congratulated you both and would introduce themselves to you as family friends or business partners or whatever else. You didn’t care enough to remember all of their names, knowing that you likely wouldn’t see them again for a long time. Jun did all the talking for the two of you, allowing you to hide behind him as he made pleasantries with all of the guests. Though you did stray away from him long enough to greet your parents. Your mother was already in tears when she approached you, pulling you into her arms and crying about how grown up you were. It took everything in your power not to cry yourself as you embraced her, promising that you were fine and happy with Jun. You stayed holding her for a moment, letting go to hug your dad before deciding that it would be best for them to go. Every other human guest had excused themselves at this point and you knew your parents would be working again in the morning so you bid them goodnight with one last hug and a kiss from your mother. After they left you returned back to Jun, the male glancing over at you with a smile before returning his attention to his guests. It was fine at first, and you tried to interact with as many guests as possible, but after about an hour of still meeting new people you quickly got bored. Not only did you want to get away from the crowd but you were also desperate to finally be alone with your husband. It finally got to a point where you decided to take matters into your own hand, tugging at Juns arm to get his attention.
“As nice as this is, I would love to go get used to my new bedroom now,” you whispered when he finally looked at you. Jun immediately caught on to what you were implying, smirking down at you and licking his lips.
You’re a scandalous little thing aren’t you?” he teased, but still he quickly excused the both of you for the night. He used the excuse that you were tired and still getting used to the change in schedule to anyone who asked as he escorted you out of the kitchen and up the stairs. No one even gave you a second glance as you followed Jun into his room, quietly closing and locking the door behind you.
ღ ღ ღ ღ ღ
The second the door locked you were all over Jun, gripping his vest and smashing your lips together in a desperate kiss. The male eagerly returned the kiss, removing your veil so he could tangle his hands into your hair. Your tongues battled each other, lips remaining locked as you started exploring each other's bodies. Your hands made quick work of undoing his vest while he fumbled with unzipping your dress. You pulled away once you felt him pull the zipper down, his lips attacking your neck as he pulled your dress down your body. Due to the shape of the dress you had opted not to wear a bra underneath exposing your breasts to the cool air once your dress was off. Jun took advantage of this, gripping at your breasts and pinching your nipples between his fingers. You moaned softly at the feeling, growing louder as you felt his fangs graze against your neck, kicking your dress off as he pulled you close to him.
“You have no idea how good you taste,” he muttered against your neck, “it’s almost addicting.”
“You can have another taste if you want,” you gasped out, he paused long enough to glance up at you, making sure you were serious. You smiled and ran your fingers through his hair as a silent confirmation. Jun took the hint and trailed his lips back to where he originally bit you, running his tongue across the area once before biting down again. This time you moaned at the sting, tightening your grip on his hair and throwing your head back as the same warm feeling returned. This time Jun groaned into your neck, sucking harder and pressing your bodies together. His hands gripped at your hips desperately, grinding them against his own as he continued sucking at your neck. Though he pulled away out of fear of making you dizzy. Jun placed one last kiss on your neck before lifting his head and licking his lips.
“Yep, very addicting indeed,” he groaned. You took a deep breath and chuckled softly, pulling away from him slightly so you could loosen his tie. Jun watched in amusement as you undid his tie and the first few buttons of his shirt, pushing him back until he fell back on the bed.
“I think it’s my turn to have a taste,” you cooed. Jun leaned back and watched in amusement as you climbed on the bed to straddle him. He grunted softly as you trailed kisses down his neck and chest, slowly undoing the buttons of his shirt as you went. You had known Jun was slightly muscular but you hadn’t realized how much until now as you felt the outline of his muscles.
“Like what you see?” he teased once he realized you stopped your actions.
“A lot actually,” you teased back, Jun chuckled and licked his lips as you trailed more kisses down his stomach until you reached his belt. You made quick work of undoing the belt and popping open his button. Jun lifted his hips just enough to allow you to pull his pants and boxers down, revealing his already semi hard length. You could already tell his length was more than you expected and suddenly you were frozen. In fact, you actually had no idea what you were doing so seeing him exposed for you was a lot to handle. Jun noticed this and adjusted a bit to look up at you. “Are you okay doll?” he asked, reaching a hand out to stroke your cheek.
“Yeah I just…I don’t really know what to do,” you confessed. Jun had to keep himself from chuckling at your adorableness.
“You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to,” he told you.
“No I want to!” you whined.
“Very well, want me to tell you what to do then?” he asked, to which you nodded, “okay then, grip it gently and start by stroking it.” You hesitantly did as you were told, Jun immediately gasping and falling back against the bed at your touch. You stroked him softly for a minute, feeling him twitch in your hand and rubbing at his tip for a second before gaining your confidence back and leaning down to place kitten licks along his head. Jun twitched at the contact, groaning softly and throwing his head back as you licked across his length before finally taking his tip into your mouth. “There you go, just like that,” he urged. His hand that had been on your cheek returned to grip softly at your hair, tugging it softly and brushing it out of your face so he could see you. You looked up to meet his gaze and moaned softly at the sight of him. His eyes were wide and his mouth slightly opened as he panted, his muscles were tensing from the pleasure and his hair was now out of its bond and falling messily into his face. His grip on your hair tightened more as you took him deeper, an audible groan leaving his throat, “Good girl, treating me so well.” The praise got to you and had you rubbing your thighs together, taking him as deep as you could and using your hand to stroke what wouldn’t fit in your mouth. You continued your actions for a few more minutes, enjoying the way Juns groans got louder and more desperate, but he quickly tugged on your hair to pull you away. “As good as your mouth feels baby girl, I’m getting close and I would rather finish inside you.” You felt your cheeks heat up at his comment but you nodded and allowed him to flip you both over.
Jun took a moment to rid himself of his shirt as you got comfortable on the bed. He stepped away for a moment to grab something from the dresser before returning to you, with something hidden behind his back. “You trust me right?” he asked as he crawled on the bed with you.
“Of course,” you replied with a soft smile. Jun returned the action and gently pushed you to lay down fully.
“Good, now relax and put your hands above your head,” you immediately did as you were told, feeling the smooth silk run over your wrists before tightening around them. “Is that too tight?” he asked, watching you shake your head and nodding as he carefully tied your wrists to the headboard. He tugged on the knot for a moment to make sure it was sturdy before grabbing another silk tie and draping it over your eyes. “Still doing okay?’ he asked as he tied the silk behind your head.
“Yeah I’m fine,” you assured, squirming softly at your now loss of vision.
“Good, just let me know if it gets uncomfortable,” with that his hands were back to roaming your body. His large hands kneaded your breasts before moving down to play with your hips and thighs. You continued to squirm and moan at the contact, tugging lightly on your restraints. “You are so gorgeous,” he whispered, trailing kisses from your neck down to your breasts, “I always knew you were beautiful but your body is so perfect.” He placed kisses along your breasts before taking one of your nipples into his mouth. You shivered as you felt his fangs brush against your skin, his tongue swirling around your nipple as he sucked softly. Soft moans left you as he continued, gripping into your thighs as he switched to the other nipple.
“Jun,” you whined out, making him hum against your skin.
“Yeah baby? Do you need something?” there was a teasing edge to his voice that made you whine more.
“More, please touch me,” you begged. He chuckled softly and removed himself from your breasts.
“As you wish,” he muttered, one of his hands left your thigh to run a finger across your clothed core. You shivered at the feeling, grinding your hip into his hand to get more friction. “Shit, you are so wet for me,” he groaned as he pressed his finger harder against you.
“Stop teasing me please!” you whined, desperate to feel more of his touch.
“Fine, fine, because you’re being so good to me,” he agreed, slipping your panties off and spreading your thighs so he could get access to you. His finger trailed against your slit, gathering your wetness before pressing his finger into you. You moaned and squirmed softly, not used to the intrusion.  “Just relax,” Jun cooed, “it’ll feel weird at first but I promise it’ll be worth it.” You nodded and did your best to relax, squirming and gasping as you felt his finger move inside of you. Jun pressed a kiss to your thigh as he continued, curling his finger and making you whine as he hit that special spot inside of you. “Found it,” he muttered, continuing to hit that spot and watching as you squirmed and moaned at the feeling. Slowly he urged another finger into you, curling them and making a scissoring motion to help stretch you out. The sting burned a bit but that was quickly washed out by the pleasure he was bringing you, constantly hitting your G spot and his thumb moving to rub at your clit. “How are you feeling Y/N?” he asked, not slowing down his motion.
“So good, it feels so good!” you moaned out, arching your back and pulling at your restraints.
“Good,” Jun muttered as he pulled his fingers out, “are you ready for more then?” You didn’t hesitate to nod, practically shaking in anticipation as you felt him line up with your entrance. You arched your back and groaned as you felt him slowly enter you, his hands gripping your waist and soft pants leaving him. Jun stilled once he bottomed out, kissing you and muttering praises while massaging your hips to distract you from the pain. It took a moment to adjust to the stretch, but the second you felt it fade you were nodding at him to continue. His thrusts started off slow, simply letting you get used to the feeling before picking up the pace. You couldn’t hold back your moans as you felt him inside you, wrapping your legs around him to hold him closer to you. Juns grip on you tightened and he groaned as his thrusts continued. “You are so tight, you feel so good,” he grunted as his head dropped to rest against your neck. With each thrust you felt a tightening in your stomach, whining and squirming more as you realized you wouldn’t last much longer.
“Jun I’m gonna..” you couldn’t find your words as you lost your breath. Jun seemed to understand though as you felt him nod against your neck. Without slowing his thrusts, he reached up with one hand and undid your blindfold, brushing your hair out of your eyes as you blinked up at him.
“Go ahead and cum for me baby,” he groaned, that was the approval you needed to finally let go. You tightened around Jun and arched your back with a soft cry as your orgasm washed over you. Jun slowed down for a moment before continuing his movements, making you whimper from overstimulation. “Hold on for me just a little bit longer okay?” he urged, “I won’t last much longer. You’re going to be good for me though right? You’re going to let me give you my heir?” You couldn’t verbally reply, simply nodding and whining. Jun thrusted a few more times before stilling inside of you, a low groan left him as he reached his climax.
You both panted softly as you came down from your high,  Jun carefully pulling out and leaving gentle kisses across your face and neck. “How are you feeling?” he asked as he untied you, massaging the soft red marks on your wrists as you sighed.
“That was amazing,” you gasped out, staring up at Jun with a tired smile, “but I’m exhausted now.” He smiled and laughed softly, kissing your head as he climbed off the bed.
“You stay here, I’m going to grab something to clean up with and then we can rest okay?” you gave him a hum of confirmation and closed your eyes. Jun disappeared into the bathroom for a moment before returning with a wet cloth. He hovered over you and gently wiped down your neck and chest before folding it and gently pressing it against your core. You sighed at the cool feeling against your sore body, letting Jun clean you with no hesitation. Once you were clean he quickly cleaned himself off before setting the rag aside and crawling into bed with you. You immediately crawled under the covers and snuggled up against Jun, with your head on his chest and his arm over you. “You’ll probably be pretty sore tomorrow, so if you want to stay in bed I’m not opposed,” he mused, chuckling when you weakly hit his chest.
“We’ll see,” you muttered, “right now though I just want to sleep.”
“As you wish,” he agreed, kissing your head as he snuggled up with you.
“I love your kisses by the way,” you whispered, placing a kiss on his heart before closing your eyes.
“I’m glad,” he hummed, “it took a lot of effort for me to get them, you know?”
“I know, and you will still need that effort,” you teased, hearing him scoff.
“We’ll see about that,” he placed one last kiss on your head before closing his eyes, “rest well my love.”
“Goodnight Qinqin.”
At this point it was safe to say, you had fallen in love with Wen Junhui.

Solangelo had a bitter break up and all of a sudden Nico is eating a lot of apples whenever he has to be around Will. (An apple a day keeps the doctor away) (Nico tries to avoid him but it’s a small camp)
Then Nico starts dating Apollo and he stops eating them as much because he’s throwing a lot of them at Apollo (at one point in Ancient Greece throwing an apple at someone was like a marriage proposal).
Nipollo date for so many years (Nico’s 30 something now) that eventually Apollo and Hades decide to make him immortal so he can update his underworld status and also so he can marry Apollo like he’s been asking to for so many years.
And because Will is somehow still Apollos favorite child he is invited to his fathers and ex boyfriends wedding. Nico kinda didn’t want to invite him but he decided to be the bigger person and be mature about it.
Will is not as big of an asshole as he used to be at that point and he ends up getting along ok with Nico and they still had a friendly rivalry and made jokes about how they dated for five minutes when they were kids. Apollo was happy they got along.
Apollo was not happy that Nicos stepmother Persephone kept jokingly threatening to turn his husband into a flower again. Too many of his loved ones had been turned into flowers. He promised he wouldn’t let that happen with Nico.
Hades was just happy that he got to see not one but two of his children have real happy endings when in the past that had been incomprehensible. He’s so proud and happy for his kids.
Hazel was elated for him and Frank was kinda just there along for the ride with Hazel. Nico jokes about being the flower boy at Frazels wedding a couple years prior. Frank seemed slightly uncomfortable about that but laughed it off. Hazel thinks their friendship is hilarious.
Zeus showed up for 10 minutes. He said he was happy that Apollo found someone to settle down with even tho he wasn’t too happy with whom that someone is. Hades glared at him and was prepared to put a shadow forcefield over his children and their spouses just in case. But Zeus decided he didn’t care enough to fight about it just congratulated Apollo and ate a bunch of cake and wine and left.
As soon as he’s gone everybody breathes a sigh of relief and the party resumes as if he was never there and all is good in the world.
Persephone does actually turn Nico into a flower for a few moments while Apollo cries and begs her to turn him back. Everyone laughs at him for moment but decides they don’t want to be too cruel to him on his wedding day so Persephone turns Nico back into his godly form. Apollo rejoices and Nico comforts him and explains that he was in on the flower joke. Apollo feels betrayed. How dare he. His own husband. On their wedding day. How dare he. (Apollo gets revenge later that night lol).
Happily ever after.

(chanting) DIVORCE DIVORCE DIVORCE DIVORCE
anyways hi i like making charts apparently so here's the elden ring divorce square and how i think their relationships are like + me trying to learn how to draw them <//3 relationship notes under the cut
relationship notes
godfrey + marika -> i said what i said. their relationship may be over but there’s a level of still being dedicated to each other. like idk ... the idea tht godfrey was privy to marika’s plans is so intereting to me, and i feel like even though there might be some level of like “i kind of still hate you for what you did, even if you had to do it,” there r still parts of them that are like THATS MY HUSBAND/THATS MY WIFE
radagon + marika -> no bc i have so many complicated weird thoughts abt these two. i operate largely under the assumption that radagon is like, another half or another part of marika, and i find it so VASTLY interesting tht at the point tht you fight radagon, it seems like he’s the one keeping marika in the erdtree. like ... they do not like each other !!! maybe at some point both of them, pieces of each other or not, trusted one another but clearly that’s no longer the case and i feel like if they were two separate bodies still, theyd be so suffocating to each other.
rennala + radagon -> i like .... so badly want to imagine that the love and adoration from rennala was reciprocated, and i think they were to an extent, but w radagon there was always that reminder of like I Am A Piece Of Marika / I Am Marika, so he couldn’t fully return those feelings. but like i said above, whatever manner their relationship was, them breaking everything off was bad enough for rennala to be sent into such despair and anguish, and fucking radagon left their family behind as far as we know, and he also just left her with an egg? and ive seen ppl theorize (unless its like, confirmed) that the egg has their unborn child in it and its so like ...... RADAGON.......
rennala + godfrey -> a while ago i drew some weird parallels between rennala and godfrey, esp within their roles as the spouses to the marika/radagon mess, and these two kindaaaa made me lose it thinking abt them. theres this thing i noticed where like, they were both spurned and turned away by their spouses, but where godfrey was exiled and seemingly willingly left the lands between, rennala was just STUCK THERE. and there’s truly something abt the dichotomy of rennala’s grief and despair being like ... pacified(?) by the egg as she clings to it, and then godfrey’s bloodlust and rage being pacified by serosh. also how godfrey (from cut dialogue) seemed to know what marika was up to but rennala is kept in the dark and is left to succumb to her anguish. there r also dog/cat motifs (red wolf of radagon in raya lucaria vs serosh), jock/nerd dynamic, tank/mage dynamic .... the way that godfrey and rennala are both blasting Fairytale by Alexander Rybak as they think abt their respective spouses. I JUST THINK THEYD GET ALONG LOL.
rennala + marika -> jennifer’s body-ass relationship. toxic wlw homoeroticism. its the like “ur not my husband but u are him but u’d be better than him” like .... theres a level of attraction going on tht at least rennala wouldnt fully understand until she learned abt the marika/radagon situation, i think?
godfrey + radagon -> i said what i said!!!!! theyd have weird tension and godfrey wouldnt give a shit abt the radagon/marika thing on the surface but i think if he knew what was fully going on (ie the radagon keeping marika in the erdtree thing w the elden beast as punishment) he’d be pissed.

EM CH. 3 WAS AMAZING AS ALWAYS AND I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS. SO IM GONNA SEND IT IN TWO ASKS. First lots of thoughts of the fight between babey and Rhae. I get Rhae’s anger, I do. But it’s really unfair to take it out on babey. You mentioned that part of it is has something to do with not being able to have the boys interact with their real father Harwin. But correct me if I’m wrong, doesn’t Harwin live on dragonstone with them?? So hypothetically Harwin could act and be a father to him. And Rhae is kinda wrong about Babey getting a choice. Yes, Babey loves Daemon now and if she didn’t she could have grown to live a comfortable life with him considering he loves her but she didn’t really have all that much of a choice. Even rhae knows it’s a women’s duty of that time to marry and she had more of a choice then.
You almost wish to tell her that she has conducted herself as every bit the spoiled shrew her rivals claim her to be throughout this conversation, that she has no one to blame but herself for the conditions in which she lives... That, if she proceeds to speak to all those loyal to her in the manner you have just been subjected to, she will find herself without a kingdom. Babey is better than me bcs I would have told rhae exactly that and immediately told someone but her not wanting anyone to know is really sweet.
I do have a question though, since rhae mentions that babey’s babes will be pure legitimate heirs to carry on how Targaryen, is she worried that babey and Daemon might push for their child to be heir over jace?? (Ps. Like babey said, it’s not her fault rhae had kids w Harwin) and what was that comment about how “of course uncles happy”.
Sorry that was so much but can I be 🦇(bat anon) so it’s easier to keep track of my asks once again sorry for that monster of an ask and the the next one I’m about to send.
HAHA, hey, 🦇! I'm so glad you enjoyed the new chapter - it was a long one (8300 words or thereabouts). Babey just wouldn't shut up, so I kept it going, lol.
And I agree that Rhae's being really unreasonable here, don't worry - she, like Babey, is operating on a bunch of assumptions about what the other's life has been like. I see Rhaenyra as sorta not really realising how much less agency Babey's had in her life thus far, as well as not really understanding just how lonely she's been. Until Rhae was caught with her pants down with Uncle Daemon (oof), she had had the ability to choose her spouse; Babey's 'choices' were artificially engineered, in that she was only really ever going to be allowed to choose between Aegon, Daemon and Jason Lannister. Though Babey ultimately decided on her uncle, it's not as though he's everyone's ideal of a husband. She made the best of what she had. In Rhaenyra's case, it's all too easy to assume these things when you're on the outside looking in.
On the other hand, Babey's been assuming that Rhaenyra is this confident, unshakeable, perhaps even infallible being, and so having that disrupted is a big thing for her. She can't afford to destroy her relationship with her sister, both because she loves her AND because she understands what it might do to her sister's position (and, subsequently, her innocent nephews) to have people speculate about tensions within the Blacks faction. I don't think Rhae's worried about Babey and Daemon trying to go for her claim; there'd be no reason to toss over one daughter in favour of the other, especially when there's a legitimate son (Aegon) waiting in the wings. Rhaenyra would need to be disinherited for that to work, or die, and even then, she's survived by three sons who are legally viewed as legitimate. BUT, that doesn't mean the lords of the Realm won't talk - she knows that the birth of her sister's true Targaryen children will herald a new round of gossip, which will undermine her position. She's angry about that, but unfortunately in this fight she's misplaced that anger and directed it at her sister. I think the whole "of course uncle's happy" was just her way of listing off all the ways she thinks Babey's life is 'perfect'; defo a throwaway line, I think!
Lols, I'll go ahead and have a look-see at the second part of the ask!

Dessert before dinner
I still have asks to do, so we’re DEFINITELY writing these into November lol. But! I’m happy to have technically ended Kinktober on a Ryomina ask! It’s not the last, but it was fun to write, so victory nonetheless <3 This one’s another Ao3 ask, but, again, not the last of the Narukami content. I hope you enjoy tho!
Also, I have zero clue how to write Sho, I know very little about him. So, godspeed to me.
Kinktober masterlist: Here
CW: Knifeplay, unhinged Sho, kinda? Impactplay? Fighting, at least. Begging, Narukami bottoms. Sho is questionably characterized.
As the clock struck 10, Narukami walked into the dark home of him and his spouse with a bag of fast food in one hand and a carrier of drinks in the other. Making his way carefully towards the bar of the kitchen by the light of the single stove light. "Sho, babe! I brought di-" In a heartbeat, the tall, silver-haired man was slammed to the tiled kitchen floor as soon as he put the drinks on the kitchen counter.
On reflex, he struck his husband. Knocking him away and giving himself time to jump to his feet. Catching his spouse easily when he attempted to slam into him like a bull. In an expert movement, pinning the aggressive man against the kitchen wall, slamming the hand that held the kitchen knife into it so he couldn't stab him.
Once he was pinned, Sho huffed grumpily. His frosty blue eyes glaring at Narukami, but the wildcard simply blinked at him. "Is there, by chance, a reason for this sudden attack?" he asked calmly, keeping a firm hold on his spouse when he tried to wriggle his hand free to slash at him with the knife he had. Though, the fighting only lasted a moment, before he finally gave up completely and relaxed against the wall. "I just want to fuck." He explained with an edge of nerves on his words that he often had to weasel what he wanted out of someone. Though, his cheeks turning a bit pink at the admission gave away the honesty of his moment of awkwardness. Which, made Narukami smile slightly. After being married for two years at this point, the redhead was still so embarrassed to request sex, which, was still so cute. So, the answer to his admission was easy, "Okay, all you have to do is ask, hon. You should know that I’d give you anything I can.” Before giving the cherry-haired man a soft kiss. Holding it for a moment before parting for air. Admiring the way a darker shade of pink had dusted over his pale, scarred cheeks before Sho spoke in a huskier mumble, "I also want to use the knife." That was new. “You want to use the knife?” Sho nodded, his blue eyes sparkling with a twinge of excitement as he swiftly explained with a nervous speed to his words, “I understand if you don’t want to. But, I thought it would be fun. Something a little out of the norm, y’know? Does that make me sound insane? I’m so sorry…” But, Narukami took him by surprise by simply shaking his head, “It does sound hot. Do you want me to cut you? Or do you want to cut me?”
There was a long moment of silence. The two men simply staring at one another in the dimly lit kitchen until Sho finally asked in a surprised whisper, “For real?” Which, Narukami nodded at, “If you want to try it, I’ll let you. Just tell me how you want me to do this.” He hummed, letting the man go and simply heading back to the bag of food he’d gotten for them to put it in the fridge with their drinks. Giving the red-haired man plenty of time to weigh the options.
”I, want to cut you. Is that okay?” He asked, Narukami nodding as he shut the fridge door. Turning to his husband to find him already mere inches from him, a dark glint in the dimly glowing pools of blue. “Ah, yeah. Just don’t cut my throat, okay? No vital spots, in general.” Narukami hummed, making his husband give a smile that, while laced with madness, made the wildcard’s chest heat up. So, when the man pulled him into a heated kiss, he eagerly kissed back.
From there, the redhead threw his arms around Narukami’s neck and pressed himself into the wildcard’s well-muscled chest, moaning slightly when the wildcard squeezed him affectionately and began herding him backwards until the redhead’s back hit the kitchen wall.
However, in a flash, the silver-haired man was flipped over, trapped between the powerful body of the man he loved, and the solid wall. “Well, hello there, babe~” Narukami chuckled, smiling a bit at the confident light returning to Sho’s vibrant blue eyes. “Hi~” He hummed back, his husky voice making Yu’s blood zip in his veins, but not as much as the feeling of Sho’s calloused hand sliding under his shirt to explore his torso. His fingers gliding over his skin as if he were studying Narukami’s form in the darkened kitchen.
The warmth of his skin, paired with the low visibility, and threat of the lethal kitchen knife Sho still kept hold of all working together to turn that simple zip of arousal into a lightning storm. A storm that grew in intensity the lower Sho’s hand got on his stomach and closer to the waistband of his jeans.
Once there, the red-haired man paused his hand’s descent to crouch down to his knees in front of his husband. Finally putting the knife to use by running the blade of the kitchen knife along the front of Narukami’s thigh. Kept from biting into the wildcard’s skin by the thick material of his jeans, but the pressure still made the silver-haired man shudder, which, Sho was quick to pick up on. Judging from the wolfish grin. “I never took you as someone who’d be into knifeplay, Yu~ You always struck me as kinda vanilla.” He mused, balancing the blade between his pointer finger, and his husband’s thigh, letting the point of the silver kitchen tool dig into his flesh a bit as he stared up at him with a flicker of lust in his eyes. Narukami, meanwhile, chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck a bit awkwardly, “I didn’t think I’d like it either. It’s kind of exhilarating though. Like, bungee jumping.” He hummed, his husband raising his eyebrows at that, “Interesting...I’ll keep that in mind.” He purred, reaching up to pop the button of Narukami’s jeans open and tug the zipper down so he could pull his jeans down to be kicked off into some dark corner of the kitchen. Once he was down to his boxers, sho smiled again, nuzzling into the growing bulge between Narukami’s legs and almost purring, “You’re so sexy. Jesus fuck I’m happy I married you before that jackass managed to.” he muttered against the seam of his husband’s thigh, the vibrations so close to the wildcard’s groin getting a small gasp before he breathed out a small laugh, “Hey, lay off of Yosuke. He moved on from me years ago. I am safely, all yours.”
Sho didn’t seem quite so convinced, just watching the trail of pink he left when dragging the lethal edge of the kitchen knife down the front of his husband’s thigh. The lingering sting making Narukami wince. Which, he took as a sign to leave Yosuke for a different discussion, so he just leaned against the wall and let the unhinged man leave cat-scratched hearts in his skin. Each ache of pain translating into another throb in his dick.
Yet, his husband, drinking in each subtle shift and squeak, took his time with that knife. Smiling and humming as he decorated whatever exposed skin he could get with knicks and pink designs. Contrasting the cool sharpness of the blade with a smattering of warm butterfly kisses that trailed up the wildcard’s thigh, and back to his groin. “I want you to beg.” He said, his voice dangerously low, his cyan eyes glowing with that remaining flicker of maddening power that granted him a persona. “For a bj?” Naruakmi snorted, only to give a surprised yelp when Sho suddenly shot up and captured his legs in one fluid movement. Trapping the old wildcard against the stability of the wall and his marble-carved body with his legs having nothing to do but wrap securely around his hips. “Nope~ I want you to beg for me to fuck you~” “Oh.” He said, surprised to find himself short of breath from the dark, predatory tone lacing his husband’s words. Usually, he was pretty hard to shake, especially after all of the bosses and shadows he’d fought. Hell, he’d beaten Izanami no Okami, and Sho before. So, by all logic, being held by the scarred redhead, and looked at with such an animalistic lust in his husband’s eyes, shouldn’t be as excitingly intimidating as it was.
However, Narukami’s thoughts were cut short when a harsher sting ran up the side of his hip. The shock of cold pain making him arch his back and curse while the knife cut through one side of his boxers. “Beg for me, Narukami~” Sho sang, well aware of whatever he’d awoken, just fishing out a bottle of portable lube from his pocket so he could prep himself. “I think you’d be very hot if you begged.” he continued, so, with a small, pink-faced smile, Narukami obliged in a slightly breathy voice, “Please fuck me?” Getting another stinging cut to his other hip. Further ruining his boxers. “Mmmmm, do it more.” “P-Please fuck me sho,” Another slice, that one deeper, going down the outside of his thigh and making the silver-haired man cling to his husband. “Again,” Sho ordered, a feral note signaling how aroused he was already, which further served to warm Narukami’s blood. “Please, baby?” Another slash to his thigh, “Please fuck me.” That one was up his side, earning a shudder. “Please, Sho.” He finally pleaded, breathless with a thundering heartbeat and an overwhelming heat under his skin. Thankfully, though, that last breath of need seemed to be the final push on Sho’s own desires. Because, with another cut to Narukami’s thigh, Sho pushed into him. Earning a loud moan from both of them.
But, that was it before Sho began humping into his husband like a feral animal. Leaving Narukami to claw into his shoulders and moan. Each harsh thrust sending waves of warmth and mind-numbing pleasure through the wildcard that mingled with the throbbing aches of the cuts littered over his body. “You’re so pretty…” The scarred man growled in Narukami’s ear, sending a shudder down his spine again, earning another low moan as he clawed Sho’s solid shoulders and tried to keep enough wits about him to not let his head bounce off of the kitchen wall. “So handsome...god, I love you.” The redhead continued, Yu panting out, “I love you too,” adding with a curse, “do that again! Please!”
Which, was a demand his husband was happy to oblige with. Speeding up a bit as he targeted that special spot within the silver-haired man. Grinning at the way the old wildcard unraveled in his calloused hands. “Mm, god, Narukami. You’re so pretty like this~” he repeated, nipping at his neck a few times, seeming slightly aware from the glaze over his husband’s grey eyes of how close that broiling heat under his skin was to overwhelming him. The breathless moans, clawing, and whines driving the cherry-haired man further. Slamming into the wildcard until the sensations and pleasure finally reached its pique.
Not that it stopped Sho’s humping, but the sparks of pain the continued stimulation caused was a surprisingly nice bit of thrill to color the white-out that washed out Narukami’s vision until his husband’s movement stuttered to a halt inside of him with his own moan. Leaving them both breathless and sweaty in the dark kitchen for a long moment.
”That was...hotter than I thought it’d be.” The silver-haired man panted, running a hand through his husband’s hair, making the scarred man chuckle into his skin. “Really? I can definitely do it more than ~” “I hope so, I still want to fuck you properly.” And that made the redhead hum. Lifting his head to look into Narukami’s misty eyes with that feral glint in his colorful eyes, dimmed, but not gone as he chewed on an idea. Until, finally, asking with that same awkward edge to his words, “This time, could you cut me? I wanna see how it feels during sex.” Making the old wildcard smile and drape his arms around his neck to give him a slower, more loving kiss. “Of course, babe. Anything for you.”

The biggest thing on my mind is Paapu's birthday party tomorrow. Btw paapu means baby in my native tongue and that's what I call my little one.
The little hurricane will be 2 year old. F***!! 2 years, I have done this, don't know how. Just stumbling through one day at a time, learning as I go; jumping into the deep end. We are having a party with some friends coming over. Ordered some snacks, getting a custom cake.
Today we cleaned the entire house - paapu helped as well, lol! It was hilarious she was holding a broom and acting like it was a vacuum. But it was a fun day. I'm at my best and most comfortable when the three of us spend time like this. Just doing normal things around the house, hanging out with each other. Tomorrow will be different. There will be guests.
I'm nervous. Is our house big enough to fit that many people comfortably? Is paapu gonna freak out because of all these people? She's had serious strangers anxiety the past couple of months. Are we supposed to entertain the guests or something? How do I do that? Wifey (sorry for the cliche nickname, but I'll think of something better) says she's gonna do some activities with the kids in the party. well wtf are the adults going to do? watch the kids? there are some guests that are coming who don't have kids. Am I supposed to, like, go around talking to all the people? Lol, so awkward making small talk. I don't even have that many topics to talk about, lol, forget thinking about common topics for discussion with each of them. And it's a small space everybody will be so crowded.. ugh. I seriously wish I hadn't lost my conversation skills after college.
How do you guys deal with such things? I don't want paapu to see me all nervous and awkward around people, shy, and develop the same way. She's a badass already - she's unafraid. she's not even two, and in grocery stores and parks she used to literally walk up to people look them in the eye, say hi, interact and everything. But she's becoming shy, is it because she sees us (both wife and me are kind of shy introverts) and learns? Or is it just a phase of strangers anxiety? How do I make sure she keeps her confidence and spirit?
Anyway, I hope it will be a fun couple of hours tomorrow. My parents will join via zoom, hopefully my dad doesn't spread negativity by passing some stupid comment and hurting, insulting, provoking my wife. God, I just want a birthday party with no drama, is that too much to ask? There's just been so much drama lately, oof, so much tension, it's unhealthy. I know he's going to say something to either me or my wife or do something that's going to affect me. What bothers me is that paapu is able to read my face, my expressions, my body language and figure out whenever I get sad or upset or agitated. It's amazing how much emotional intelligence a 2 year old kid has, it blows my mind. No I can't let that happen, I have to focus on maintaining my composure tomorrow, think about the party only, paapu only. It's about paapu I hope it stays about paapu. Is it normal for married/committed men? The tension between wife and parents? Is a big part of being husband, just being torn between the two parties? How do you guys deal with all that? I'm seriously open to getting suggestions. Either way, I think I have found a healthy way for myself. well at least it's been working quite well for the past couple of months - no drama. What is it, you ordinary troubled men ask? Listening. Don't try to be a hero, don't try to be a peacemaker. Both parties just want you to listen to their grievances. I believe in the goodness in people - I believe neither do your parents expect you to go fight with the spouse nor does the spouse expect you to fight with parents. Well, at least that's what I believe. Nobody wants confrontation or drama. When one party is bitching about the other, just listen - don't let the opinions register or impact, don't act. Just say the magic words "I hear you".
Anyway, I was sidetracked there quite a bit, lol. Coming back to the party, I hope it goes well. Only the best for paapu you know? I'm so looking forward to seeing her face when she cuts the cake - it's a jungle themed cake, she absolutely loves animals, seeing her being the center of attention, lovely!!
Also hoping that I can finally try and strike deeper friendships with some of the guests. I mean, I literally don't have any friends here who I can hang out with or talk. I don't know if it's COVID lockdown or just a part of growing up and becoming a parent, but I really don't feel like I have friends anymore. you know the kind you go out for a drink with or get high. Somebody you can call for when you need them. There's nobody like that for me anymore. It's been like this for almost 5 years now, it's about time I open up a bit, reach out and make some new friends. There's this couple of neighbor dudes I'm hoping to strike a deeper connection with. One's my next door neighbor, that guy is cool, we have a lot of common interests, he's geeky, into strange music, loves fantasy and movies and sci-fi, likes hikes and nature. I think we can be good friends, but I'm just scared of reaching out to him to ask to hang out. 16 months we've lived next to each other, I have asked him to go for a drink with me once. Then there's this other guy, he's smart, we hit it off immediately he had the same cultural upbringing as mine, he's a new parent too, so there's a lot of life and personal struggles and issues we can connect about and talk. But, he has a 1 year old - I know how busy and stressful it is when your kid is that young. I'm making an effort to hang out more with this guy, hoping it blossoms into a nice friendship.
So ya. No pressure, anybody who reads this, please send good wishes to paapu, and pray that everything goes well, no drama. Hope y'all have a wonderful day, after all it's a special day for me and I'm sending good vibes to the world!

Hi hope your doing well,Could I participate in your petals for your words game
Question: what will my marriage to my future spouse be like
Initials:p.m
Pronouns:she /her
Favorite flower
Tumblr media
Why I like it:is becoming it’s a flower that I love to look at .And I have loved it since I was a child. For it’s color and shape and the fresh clean smell that’s earthy ghat I enjoy.
Thank you so much if you do my reading
Hello! Thank you for joining a petal for your words. Dividers are from firefly-graphics.
Tumblr media
Cards: The Tower, The Moon (r), Two of Wands
Might rain during wedding night. I feel that your marriage will be one that's marked by strength and companionship. You might go through a lot of hardships with this person and have separated for a while but you keep coming back together with each other. It's like fate that you keep bumping into each other and be at the background of each other's minds and before you knew it you're back together stronger as ever. They might have had a tendency of shirking responsibilities but I feel that after getting serious with you they'd have changed a lot especially once they are married to you. They begin to take up the role of the provider, wanting to protect your heart and this little haven that you both create. They might have a rough past but you changed them. They begin to soften with your love and actually self reflect because they want to be deserving of you.
I sense playful banters in your marriage. Looking at the two barking dogs in the moon card just makes me laugh lol. These two dogs look like they're arguing but really they're just fighting over some trivial stuff and bantering with each other for fun, like you two. Your future spouse will have an obviously larger stature than yours and would look intimidating at first sight. However they don't intimidate you because they're a honey bear when it comes to you. You wrap them around your finger basically. They will spoil you. They aren't good with words but they'd try their hardest to impress you, show you romantic gestures, read you love poems they found on the internet, even learn how to bake you a cake even if they feel silly wearing mittens and their hands hurt. They just want you to be happy. They have a smile that would warm you up from the inside.
You like to challenge each other. The main theme in your connection involves inspiring each other to become better and better, whether it is a better person, a better wife or husband or a better communicator, etc. I get that you like to challenge each other in sports too! In that case it would be so exciting because you both are very competitive. To them, you're playful, wise and supportive. They know that even on rough days you'd be their warmth and a voice of reason; you're soft like a pillow, they want to hug you so much. To you, they're a lighthouse. Just being in their embrace makes you feel safe, loved and understood. On days where you feel nobody understands you, they do; they speak you. They have a message for you — they want you to take care of yourself even if they're not here yet. Their energy when giving this message feels like hot water/soup in an insulated bottle. They want to gift you this bottle just to keep you warm. “Wait for me,” they say.
Tumblr media
The flower I have for you is a peach peony!
Tumblr media
Your energy feels mature and wise - but you have an unmistakable playful charm! People who know you know that they've found a gem. You're always there for people you love. Your loyal and reassuring presence instantly makes them feel calmer.
Tumblr media
I hope that you enjoyed your reading! Please leave feedback on what resonated and what didn't. Have a lovely day!

Could you write a Xisuma x reader, where they're already married? I can imagine Evil X would flirt with the reader just to annoy Xisuma LOL
I had a lot of fun with this one!
Troublesome Visitor
Oneshot Contains: Platonic relationship with Evil X, Being married to Xisuma, Evil X is a menace, slight angst -------------------------------------
"I'm coming!" You shout, trying to get to the front door even faster. You hadn't expected any guests today. You certainly hadn't arranged anything with anyone and Xisuma would have told you if he had.
And yet here someone is. Repeatedly ringing the bell. Not just once or twice, no.  Over and over and over and it is driving you insane.
You fumble with the key in the lock, pressing down the handle and opening the door as fast as possible. It takes a few seconds for the culprit to realise, still ringing the doorbell until you get their attention.
"We really have to stop meeting like this." He winks, an action barely visible through his visor. You roll your eyes, cracking a small smile. Evil X always pushes his luck with you.
"Who is it?" Xisuma calls, you turn as he comes into sight from the back room. "Ah X, it's good to see you again my friend." The look your husband gives you says a thousand words, more since he's not afraid to show it in front of Evil X.
The two of them have been on and off business partners and friends for the whole time you've known Xisuma. The two were close although often had their differences, meaning every now and then they'd agree to take some time and go back to it later.
"Hello again, what are you doing here?" The two meet at the door, shaking hands and going in for a small hug.
"I was passing through and thought I might stop by for a short while. Come see you and Y/n, who I must say is looking stunning today, wouldn't you agree?" Xisuma looks over at you, nodding. You can tell he's already getting ticked off.
Xisuma had been the one to introduce you to his friend and since then insisted it was the biggest mistake of his life. Evil X had taken a liking to you instantly, although it was strictly platonic. But that didn't stop him from flirting with you.
It was something done with the goal of making Xisuma mad. It started when the two of you were partners and once you got married nothing changed.
On many occasions there have been small fights over you, each time Evil X would end up giggling because to him it was entertaining. To your husband not so much. He did and does not enjoy others flirting with his spouse, whether they mean the flirting or not.
"Can I come in?" Evil X asks, looking at you. "I don't know." Xisuma mumbles, moving to stand in front of you slightly. "I'm not here for business if that's what you're worried about. Or Y/n, although I can't say that wouldn't a blissful life. You'd know." Evil X chuckles.
You place your hand on Xisuma's arm, reassuring him that it's okay. He steps aside allowing his friend and former business partner inside.
"I see you've done some redecorating since the last time I was here." Evil X states, grunting when he pokes the cactus and it pokes him back. "It has been months since we last saw you." You remind him, your eyes as fixed on him as your husband is. The last thing you need is a mess on your hands.
"Ah, yes. It has. It was when you kicked me out of the anniversary party if I remember rightly." Evil X addresses Xisuma. That was in fact what had happened.
One too many comments and Xisuma had booted him out of the party and the business at the time. It had kept Evil X away for a couple of months, although it seems Xisuma has not forgotten about that night.
"I'd do it again." Xisuma places his arm around you as Evil X circles around to stand in front of the pair of you. The man opposite you places his hand over his heart, feigning hurt.
"I can't believe you'd do that to your old friend." You can feel the deep breath your husband takes, attempting to stay calm. You decide to step in, thinking at this point it may be best for you to handle things.
"So, what brings you around here?" You ask, hoping to diffuse the tension. "Oh, you know, I have some other friends to contact for a catch up and a new project. Nothing special." You can feel Xisuma relax beside you as his ex- co-owner manages to speak without mentioning you.
"Interesting, I hope that works out for you. I've got some plans for a new business as well." This piques the interest of the money oriented Evil X. "Oh?" He prompts you to answer, but you shake your head.
"You know I can't share my secrets to success." Even though you can't fully see his expression with his helmet on you know he's frowning. You know better than to tell Evil X of all people what your plans are. You've seen that go badly for Xisuma in the past.
"Maybe next time." Evil X mutters, causing you to shake your head once again. Not a chance.
"Unlikely, you and I both know Y/n keeps their secrets guarded closely." "You don't." You quip, shooting your husband a smirk. Xisuma tries to frown but ends up nodding his head. He knows your right.
"Attractive and honest, quite the pair of attributes." You can feel the deep breath Xisuma takes. He must about ready to blow at this point.
You look over at him, smiling softly as the two of you make eye contact. This seems to calm Xisuma, his body relaxing once again.
"Oh, is that the time?" Evil X asks rhetorically, walking past you in the direction of the exit. His haste is unsurprising. This isn't the first time he's dropped in and left just as quickly. It's likely it will be the last.
"I'll see you both around, I'll be spending a lot more time around here so don't be strangers." Evil X winks, almost out of the door already.
"It was nice to see you." Your words are the last ones said before Evil X boosts into the sky and soars out of view.
Xisuma leads you back inside, closing and locking the door behind the two of you. "I'm not having anymore visitors today."
You wrap your arms around him, holding him close. "Okay X, the rest of the day is just me and you."
Xisuma allows a small smile to peak through his façade, a sight which warms your heart.

Hey Plan! What is your opinion about the popular headcanon of LQR having a crush on CSSR that’s why he’s exceptionally harsh towards WWX?
I don't see any validity in it. After my last reread of the novel I'm wondering if this idea that LQR was carrying a grudge bc of CSSR wasn't pushed by cql and just somehow became cemented into fanon...
To begin with, LQR is exceptionally harsh with everyone. He's hard on WWX because 1. he was known for being super strict :
The Gusu Lan Clan had a great and famous old veteran named Lan Qiren, who the cultivation world widely considered to possess three special characteristics: traditionalism, inflexibility, and the ability to produce brilliant students through his strict instruction. Though the first two points led most to keep him at a respectful distance, and some to secretly dislike him, the last caused many to use every method at their wits’ disposal to send their children to him to receive his teachings. (13)
2. WWX spent the first night in the CR breaking curfew, drinking, fighting, essentially breaking a whole bunch of rules and clashing w LWJ. Which as a meet cute for WangXian is adorable but as an intro to LQR is probs not ideal (And as discussed in this post LQR does seem to have been informed or aware of all of it.) Then going forward he and WWX are like oil and water. LQR is used to spoiled young masters, who are arrogant without reason and need to be knocked down a few pegs, and WWX is actually talented, but used to authority figures like YZY abusing their authority over him out of spite- So naturally LQR's methods of instruction don't work on him and LQR is too rigid to readjust. Still LQR's punishments are writing lines- which now that I think about it actually worked... sort of lol.
Su She, “How dare I attack Second Young Master Lan, who’s been so talented ever since he was young? I just can’t bear looking at how he always thinks he’s such a big deal.”
Although it wasn’t the only time Wei WuXian knew that hatred could come without a reason, he still couldn’t help but be baffled, “Has HanGuang-Jun ever said he thinks he’s a big deal? If I remember correctly, isn’t ‘arrogance is forbidden’ part of the GusuLan Sect’s rules?”
Jin Ling, “Why do you know what’s part of the GusuLan Sect’s rules?”
Wei WuXian touched his chin, “I’ve copied them too many times, you know?”
The discipline stick punishment is issued by LWJ! and when WWX has his fight with JZX, LQR sends them both to kneel, and tells off both JGS and JFM. Considering Jin Zixuan is the future Jin Heir and WWX certainly doesn't share his social status that's an interesting detail.
Considering LQR's experience with what his brother went through w his own spouse it makes sense that LQR would dig even deeper into his rule/order obsessed temperament, esp in his nephew's choice for a partner/husband. I mean LQR's brother essentially exited life and his responsibilities and he had to raise his kids. People have really weird hate fixation on LQR, but I think his role is intended to be quite comedic. WWX certainly seems to find him amusing. And although no one is as ideal as WWX/LWJ there's a lot of good about LQR that gets missed.

I've seen a lot of takes on oropher and his family and I'd love to know your take on his parentage.
Ooh, great question, anon! This prompted me to really sit down and flesh out my headcanons around Oropher's family, so thanks for that!
Headcanons are under the cut! I decided to go over my headcanons for Oropher's entire history (and then some), so it got long, lol.
~
My Oropher is the son of two marchwardens who retired when they decided to start a family in the early First Age. Upon leaving the borders of Doriath, his father Iallor became part of the King's Guard under Mablung; he died beside his captain in the Battle of the Thousand Caves. His mother Tulusseth returned to defending Arthórien after her son was grown; she survived to fight in the War of Wrath, where she perished in the final assault on Angband.
Iallor and Tulusseth were good friends with Elmo and his spouse Ferinya, the founder of the marchwardens. Ferinya died in the First Battle of Beleriand, leaving Mablung to take up their position as the chief captain, and Iallor and Tulusseth comforted Elmo amid his loss. Because of this close friendship and their prowess in battle, Elmo trusted them and reccomended them to Thingol as advisors when he needed the opinion of the marchwardens. Though they both preferred to spend their time on the marches of Doriath, this elevated their status to pseudo-nobility, which their son inherited.
Oropher was not much of a fighter, and was much more interested in political affairs. He won Thingol's trust and a place in his council of advisors. His parents were very proud of him for this, and relieved since it meant they didn't have to spend so much time in Menegroth's court anymore.
Not long after the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, Oropher married Princess Eweniel, the (younger) twin sister of Nimloth. (Twins run in Doriath's royal family - though not universally; Thranduil is an only child.) Other elves of Doriath are growing wary of the dangers of Beleriand, but Oropher insists that they are safe within the Girdle of Melian and should not worry about the troubles of the Noldor. Eweniel is more restless (she wanted to become a marchwarden herself, but was denied by her parents), but that only contributes to her eagerness to start a new life, because if not now, then when?
So thus Thranduil is born in F.A. 475. He is a young child while Túrin is in Doriath, and doesn't really understand why his Mannish peer is growing so much faster than him. He and Túrin were never close, and as he grows older and watches Túrin's path of destruction, he develops a poor/pitying opinion of mortals that does not change much until he meets Bard in the Third Age.
Thranduil is 25 years older than his cousins Eluréd and Elurín - but like Túrin, they grow much faster than an elven child. Thranduil is still developmentally older than his cousins, but they are of an age to play together when Dior moves his family to Menegroth and takes up the kingship. Eweniel and Nimloth are glad to be reunited, but share a mutual foreboding of impending doom that both their husbands refuse to acknowledge. The sisters confide their unease in their friend Gereth, a former marchwarden who retreated with her fellows to Menegroth after Thingol's death, and Gereth begins teaching them how to defend themselves. (She had actually already taught Eweniel in their youth, but it's been a long time since Eweniel touched a blade.)
When the Sons of Fëanor attack Menegroth, Nimloth and Eweniel send their children away to hide/flee. Gereth takes responsibility for her friends' children, but only manages to keep track of little Elwing (and the Silmaril). Thranduil, Eluréd, and Elurín are separated from their guard, and amid the chaos they search for their parents and find their mothers and Oropher. Dior has already been killed, and now Nimloth and Eweniel are attempting to flee - but they are stopped by the remaining sons of Fëanor (Caranthir, Celegorm, and Curufin are already dead). Eluréd and Elurín run into the forest in terror, followed by some Fëanorian followers; Oropher is injured and incapable of doing more than holding Thranduil back as Maedhros kills first Eweniel, and then the sister she was protecting.
At this point the Fëanorians began their retreat, knowing they had failed to find the jewel. Nimloth had been their last target, as she had killed Curufin and his brothers would not allow his death to go unavenged. Oropher and Thranduil don't get a second glance from Maedhros, and they hobble away to join the rest of the survivors, deeply scarred by all they witnessed.
At the Havens of Sirion, Oropher appoints himself one of Elwing's chief guardians and something of a regent over the Doriathrim (though not everyone listens to him). Eluréd and Elurín are assumed dead, so Thranduil attaches himself to Elwing as well, vowing to protect her as he could not her brothers. Elwing grows up resenting Oropher and his son for being so strict with her, though later she comes to appreciate their care for her.
All of this contributes to Oropher's deep hatred of the Noldor and a longing for a simpler time, when he and his kin could live peacefully in their forests. After the War of Wrath, he and his fellow lord Amdír lead a third of the Sindar east to found a new forest kingdom. They are both strong-willed and often disagree with one another, and their host splits partway through the journey, Amdír taking a third to Lórinand and Oropher taking the rest to Eryn Galen.
Oropher claims kingship of the forest and its people, and settles in Amon Lanc, where he builds a great fortress. Most of the Silvans of Eryn Galen ignore him and let him play at being king; a few decide they like him and relocate to the territory he controls, but his kingdom consists mostly of the Sindar he brought with him. Over the centuries, Oropher relocates his capital a few times, first to distance himself from Galadriel (who despite assimilating into the Sindar was far too Noldorin for his liking) and then because of the Shadow's encroachment upon the southern forests. The Silvans begin to flee northward toward the protection of the Sinda King, sacrificing their independence for the protection Oropher and his growing army can offer them.
It is in this time before the War of the Last Alliance that Thranduil reunites with his long-lost cousins. Eluréd and Elurín were not dead! They had been rescued by Thennes, a former Doriathrin marchwarden and the wife of Amras, who turned on her husband at the Second Kinslaying and escaped with the princes to safety. It was Thennes who came up with the tale of their abandonment by Celegorm's servants, a story passed back to the sons of Fëanor by Amras, who in his last act as her husband swore himself to secrecy of their true fate.
Thennes and the twins fled eastward, eventually settling among the Silvans of Eryn Galen. Now that their people were forced to turn to Oropher for protection, Eluréd and Elurín - now known as Tinúdil and Tinúloth - finally came to live among their former people. Thranduil is astonished and overjoyed to see them again; he is also the only one to recognize them for who they were, and agrees for their sake to keep their true identities quiet. They are happy as they are, and have no desire to interfere with Oropher's claim to kingship - or Thranduil's.
Oropher is killed in the War of the Last Alliance, stubbornly refusing to listen to Gil-galad, High King of the Noldor. (This may in part be due to the rumor that Gil-galad was actually the son of Maedhros, the very Noldo who killed Eweniel...) Thranduil takes the remnant of his people back to their forest immediately after his father's death, not sticking around for the rest of the War, and crowns himself king of Eryn Galen. Eluréd and Elurín remain longer, fighting alongside their nephew Elrond, and Eluréd is killed in the Siege of Dagorlad. Grieving his twin, Elurín retreats to Imladris with Elrond.
Thennes bore twin children of her own not long after parting from Amras in the First Age: Collas and Díriel, who were raised as foster-siblings alongside Tinúdil and Tinúloth. They, too, settled in Mirkwood with their mother and lived a quiet life among the Silvan people, ignorant of their Noldorin heritage. Thennes never told them the identity of their father, nor the secret of their elder brothers' identities (though they all knew that Tinúdil and Tinúloth were not their siblings in blood).
Neither Collas or Díriel fought in the War of the Last Alliance, and they were among the first to return to their villages in south after the Shadow was defeated. Collas had children and grandchildren, though Díriel never married and preferred the company of her mother and the forest. In the mid-Third Age, Díriel was out hunting when orcs attacked their village, killing everyone. She returned just in time to watch her mother die and to discover that only Collas' young granddaughter, Tauriel, had survived. In her last breath, Thennes made her promise to deliver Tauriel to Thranduil's care, for he alone knew of the truth of Thennes and her children's past.
Díriel rescued her grand-niece from the ruins of their village and did as she promised, but she did not stick around to learn whatever it was Thennes had hidden from her for her entire life. Tauriel was raised as a ward of the king, and Díriel herself left the forest entirely. First she stopped in Imladris to grieve alongside her foster-brother Tinúloth, and then the two of them continued together to Valinor, where they sought healing, hope, and reunion with their families.
~
WELL, there you have it!! Definitely way more than you asked for, anon. Oops.
tl;dr: Oropher's parents were marchwardens, he became a politician in Doriath, and his wife was Nimloth's sister, making Thranduil cousins with Dior's children.

Being Married To Henry’s Characters Would Include...

Taglist: @matth1w, @redspaceace-writes, @simonsbluee, @darling-i-read-it, @fandom-puff, @thewarriorprincessxo, @sebastianstanslefteyebrow, @maan24, @beckster07890, @missihart23

Clark Kent
Tumblr media
You know he’s superman, therefore, you gotta expect the unexpected
Kiss: Level 100
helping him keep his identity secret isn’t always easy-
you wanna kiss him even when he’s superman but fuck you need him to remain undetected
but you manage
Little hc of the first few months after getting married:
Clark comes home late after a fight you see on tv
you turned it off before anything else happened, too worried already
he’s beat up
your eyes are red and puffy with tear stained cheeks as you stand and cross your arms.
you bet your ass there were cuddles that night.
Later into the marriage, he still scares you like that, but you’ve grown somewhat used to it and wipe the tears away
He’s protective of you too though
Aight sorry, but the gif is making me addicted to Henry kisses so Imma say it again,
best fucking make out sessions ever
yes, I’m gonna say that for all four.
fuck it, Clark!Kisses HCs
they’re soft half the time, needy the other half
if he comes home from superman duties or you have a run-in with a villain, so on so on, his kisses are rougher, needier, more possessive
bitch, he just needs you to know he’s still alive 🥺😢
Henry in glasses really do be hittin tho.
Stealing his glasses
Calling him a nerd because of the glasses
Probably making it a small joke about superman
Especially with oblivious friends
“I think superman’s a nerd.” “why??” “I just do.”
Having to stifle your laughs every time someone gushes about superman in front of him
Clark has to hold you back so you don’t unleash your wrath of fucking doom upon some oblivious woman who wrote about superman in a news article
She wrote things that would make you jealous, like talking about how she’s curious to his personal life *wink wink* and stuff- you don’t just have a raging fury because someone writes about him
Superman this hoe
You’ve made jokes about how he has to take his ring off when he’s superman, but he’s got a feeling that you’re actually not kidding at all
Exercising with Clark
Cursing him out in breathy pants for being more athletic and cheating with his “alien powers”
he just laughs at you
Ah, the difficulty have having a husband with two identities
When you rant about your husband, it’s so hard not to fuck up and say something about being married to Superman
Forgetting that you’re one of the few who knows his identity
Basking in pride because you’re one of the few who knows his identity
One time, Clark forgot to take his ring off and the person he rescued had known him personally.
He asks where he got the ring-
“What ring?”
“The one on your finger. The wedding ring.”
It felt like his stomach dropped...if that makes sense-
Clark ended up making some random story about finding it on the same plane the guy he rescued was on and that he put it on so he wouldn’t lose it.
The guy still thought he was pretty sus, “why was it on your wedding ring finger then?” but let him off after some time
The guy gave it back to Clark in person, but you had no idea what happened,
so when he gave him the ring, you were watching with the most confused look Clark had ever seen
thankfully, he played it off well and informed you later
He forgot to take off his wedding ring? You “secretly” fist bumped the air- ...he totally saw you though
Geralt Of Rivia
Tumblr media
I don’t think Geralt really expected to get married
Jaskier didn’t either-
He’s the only one who stands when the priest asks if anyone doesn’t accept... only to ask how the fuck Geralt got lucky enough to get you
Everyone laughed but Geralt, he just grunted and looked away with a lil’ bit o pink tinting his cheeks
You demand he lets you go on adventures with him
You also wash him after adventures
wink wonk ;)))
Geralt is a stubborn thing
You’re a stubborn thing
Y’all love each other
When I say that Geralt is a confusing husband-
I mean that he confuses the fuck out of you
“don’t do that”
“okay”
few minutes later
“I thought you were doing that-”
“You told me not too...?”
“I don’t recall. Do whatever.”
Minutes later.
“What the fuck!?! Don’t do that!”
He’s hard to read and it bugs you
However, it makes a good game out of it
If he ever introduces you as anything but his spouse, you hold a bitter glare while internally plotting
Before you marry, Jaskier hits on you without realizing that Geralt is interested in you
He gulps nervously as soon as it hits him
You might just use that mistake as a way to get back at Geralt for not saying you’re his spouse
Jaskier pleads you not to
like for real
He’s in tears
CuDdLeS!
Congrats, you have a stubborn manbaby for the rest of however long y’all shall live
Kithes
Geralt is a little distant when it comes to admitting his feelings for you at first
When you’re dating, you’re all over each other
Marriage is that but amplified lmao
Braiding his hair
Teasing him not the wink wonk and getting away with it because you’re his spouse
If Jaskier said anything remotely close to the shit you’ve said, Geralt would probably choke him out
But then resuscitate him cause they’re bros
Seeing the softer side of Geralt
Sure, sex, but getting to know each others bodies? Yes.
Soft!Sleepy!Geralt
His deep n husky morning voice telling you to “get your ass back in bed”
Having the excuse of “because I’m his spouse” anytime you do stuff people are too afraid to do
Jealous bb 1 and jealous bb 2 aka Geralt and Y/n
I think Geralt’s the kind of guy to just pick you up, ignore your flailing limbs, and move you out of the way
He takes shit from no one...well, from you SOMETIMES
Gives in to your requests with a sigh and roll of his eyes most of the time
He was protective of you at first
now he’s PrOtEcTiVe so uh
Basically, number one husband, number two bodyguard
you put yourself first for the bodyguard part, but Geralt doesn’t know that
Sherlock Holmes
Tumblr media
He asks your family for their blessing, then asks you-
I can imagine Mycroft just ranting away and Sherlock drops to his knee
“What are you doing?”
He ignores his brother and proposes to you
Mycroft is confused and upset because he wanted to rant about meaningless things and Sherlock decided to change the topic
rude
Being married means constant visits from Enola
Probably being the “second parents” to Enola
Gossip with Enola and Eudoria about Sherlock and him as a kiddo
Kicking Sherlock out of the house for sleepovers with his sister
bet
Helping Sherlock with cases
Dealing with Sherlock telling you it isn’t safe
still being upset when he’s right you know it
Finding Enola and Eudoria with him
Snapping at Mycroft for how he treats the girl and everyone else
Threatening Mycroft by just being a badass bitch and telling him to fuck off every now and then
Long story short, you make Enola laugh and Mycroft scoff as he walks away
He’s a stubborn bean, which now that I think about it- aren’t all Henry’s characters?
While he doesn’t say it much, he loves you
You get paranoid with this character too, as he does work that can be very dangerous as well
When he returns, he doesn’t say much aside from that he’s there now and that he loves you
cuddles with him whispering softly,
“I’m here now.” “I’m safe.” “I’m okay.” “I love you.”
Kisses in public either be quick pecks or minute long for goodbyes, but greetings-
especially after being apart for a while?
HC TIME
He comes home on the train and you’re at the station with his siblings
As soon as he spots you, he sets his stuff down because you’re already running at him
You jump into his arms and kiss him hard, not caring in the slightest about the other people at the station
It makes you smile every time he introduces you as his spouse
You’ve heard it so many times yet it still makes your heart flutter every single time
Napoleon Solo
Tumblr media
The amount of times you’ve just dropped everything and walked away because he was being ‘too serious”-
You say something, he takes it seriously, you groan and stomp away
But then you know you can do the same back to him
Napoleon is an all around awesome husband but he’s not going to just pretend to agree with stuff
Will correct you no matter how embarrassed you get
Makes up with kisses or stuff idk
Let me be honest, I don’t know much about writing for Napoleon but he is an icon...sometimes
He’s protective
by that I mean he’s stubborn but really it’s his way of keeping you safe
Would probably lock you in your room even though you’re a, a grown ass adult, and b, his spouse for fuck’s sake?!??!
Doesn’t tell you when something’s bothering him unless he feels the need to
“I’m not a fucking mind-reader, Solo!”
“Neither am I but I still manage-”
He doesn’t mean to make you feel bad, he just- emotions and him aren’t the best of friends
Emotions aren’t exactly friends with most of his characters
He’d much rather just speak with actions than admit anything
Sometimes you worry that he’s just fucking with you
When he proposed, it scared the shit out of you ‘cause you thought it was a joke
Never admits to anything willingly...?
Yeah sorry...Idk, that’s all I got :\

Yay! Requests are open! I’m so excited to see more from you. (I don’t know what to do with this power of requests being open lol) can I request true form Lilia X FeMC marriage? (I am weak to this batty dad) (and this season has me in a wedding mood, please ignore if you want)
“I am weak to this batty dad”
Me too, me too….
tbh, I’m not familiar with fae wedding traditions, so I just used my imagination in the first and second paragraphs
Tumblr media
Lilia prefers to have a small wedding to which only family and close friends are invited unless you want something extravagant.
The wedding takes place outdoors in a wooded area during the warm season and at night. Musicians play live music in the background. All this creates a peculiarly mystical atmosphere.
During the whole event, Lilia holds your hand and doesn't let it go, running his thumb over your knuckles. Whenever you look at him, the fae gives you the sincerest smile and a tender gaze.
One of the best husbands you can ever dream of. Lilia absolutely loves you and always reminds you about it by his affection and words of love. He's an attentive spouse and takes good care of you. He always reminds you to eat and drink water, take medicine (if you need it). He also gives you emotional support; whenever you're stressed, sad or emotionally drained, you can always cry on his shoulder, Lilia will always listen to you and help whatever he can.
Even if fights happen, they are quite rare. Lilia is usually able to soothe the situation and talk to you by coming to a solution that satisfies both of you.
He will try cooking for you, ha-ha. When you finally assure him that you are actually a human and have different tastes in food, Lilia will be determined to improve his cooking skill for you to be able to eat his food. He really wants to please you, so he won't give up until he cooks your favorite dish perfectly.
He's a true gentleman and treats you with respect. No matter how long you've been married, Lilia still opens doors for you, pulls out chairs, helps you to put on coats, etc.
Lilia loves to hold you in his arms when you sleep (and when he keeps you company in bed). As he lies behind you he coils his arms around your waist and nuzzles into your nape, leaving a few kisses on your neck before you fall asleep. With his height, it's easier for him to be the big spoon, but if you want him to be the little one, Lilia doesn't mind. It's actually nice being hugged by you.
Lilia teases Silver that he should call you a mom from now, since the old man and you are already married. Surprisingly, Silver actually sometimes calls you a mother, though he blushes a little when he does it. Even if you tell him that he doesn't have to do it, the boy reassures you that he doesn't mind. You've made his old man very happy — that something Silver only wishes — and you're part of the family now.
In addition to the previous paragraph: you celebrate all holidays together from now. Especially for Halloween Lilia suggests you wearing matching costumes.
Sadly, Lilia has his duties dedicated to Malleus, so it happens that you two can't see each other for some time. When he misses you, he twists the ring around his finger, reminding himself that he'll be free soon and finally see you.

marriage and birthrate in the empire
like with many cultures and societies, the empire has its customs and norms when it comes to things like marriage.
for the vast majority of ppl in the empire, sith or imperial, monogamy is the most common type of marriage seen. and within monogamous unions the couple can be of any combo of gender or sex.
for simplicity’s sake the color code is as followed: RED, female BLUE, male PURPLE, trans/nb/intersex
Tumblr media
those in higher castes have more stipulations, considerations, and thought put into their partners rather than those in lower castes who can casually hook up with whoever they want.
another type of marriage that is seen, though not very commonly, are polygamous marriages.
with a poly marriage there is the head of house (crown icon) and the spouses/consorts (no crown).
these unions are typically only seen among sith families with prestige and history, but it’s not completely unheard of for some imperials to have them as well.
a monogamous marriage can turn into a poly one. if the head of house is like “hey, there’s this person i met... and i kinda like them? maybe if you vibe with them, i can bring them into our union?” and their spouse says “cool beans.” then yea, more spouses lol.
within a poly union, all children must be of the head of house’s bloodline. and the children produced with the first spouse (grey box) become the household heir(s)... usually.
Tumblr media
and while all of the spouses/consorts may be married to the head of house, any/all parties can engage in whatever intimate activities they want with each other. the only “unacceptable” thing would be to produce any children that does not involve the head of house.
so you could have two husbands or wives that are way more into each other than the head of house. and it’s all seen as totally cool and fine. such attitudes however are more common among the sith than with humans.
now speaking of heirs.
for those in the upper castes, having An Heir of some sort is important and kind of a big deal. it’s part of the reason why getting juuust the right marriage partner is so important. it’ll usually be a thing the families discuss and negotiate over months or even years.
it’s serious business... lol.
but regardless of type of marriage (monogamous or poly), there is the one getting married (crown) and the one being married off (no crown).
those that are married off take the family name of their spouse and all resulting children of the union have that family name.
with the children you’ll either have an heir or a chosen heir.
Tumblr media
in the GREEN circle up above you have an example of a plain, regular heir. that is to say, the firstborn.
in the ORANGE circle you have a chosen heir. not the firstborn.
there could be a myriad of reasons on why the family decided on a chosen heir over a regular one. maybe the oldest kid is a dumbass and fucks up. maybe they died before getting married. maybe the kid didn’t want that responsibility. etc.
again, as we move down the caste ladder, the less and less important all these inter-familial details become.
most “common” folk simply hook up with whoever they like, have kids, and their kids go off and do the same. they may not even take on their spouses name depending on how much they care about that.
just on a side note, if the married couple isn’t capable of producing children by themselves modern medicine and technology can help. or if the option exist, they could go the old school, natural route.
for example, among same sex sith couples (PINK rectangles) they will look for and hook up with other couples and... help each other out.
Tumblr media
these unions don’t happen too often since they’re only there to make the babies and go on their way lol. though, the two families could stay connected and friendly if they wish.
now this is a lot of pomp and circumstance to get some babies! and you’d be right lol.
bringing in some REAL LIFE FACTS lol, but here’s how things went down and are going down for ppl irl on earth.
you see everywhere on the planet, before the advent of industrialization, you had populations like this.
Tumblr media
all the babies. so many babies. but not too many old folk.
and it’s obvious why. no birth control, lack of modern medicine, famine, diseases, wars, etc etc etc. a lot of ppl died before getting ripe and old.
nowadays, or at least among the Wealthy Industrialized~ nations, it looks something like this.
Tumblr media
also a couple of real graphs just to show how drastically things have changed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a lot less babies!
this is attributed to a LOT of things. full super in depth research here if anyone wants: https://ourworldindata.org/fertility-rate
but in short... yea. birth control, women being educated and being allowed to work means they don’t have to just pump out kids. (which is GOOD btw). and the fact we have a lot more food and access to medicine means more ppl are living longer.
this ofc, is leading to Actual problems tho. bc if you don’t have enough New Ppl to replace the Old Ppl... yea, there will be some societal issues. now, i’m so nOT an expert but imho countries like the US could off set this by... immigration. by letting other ppl into the country to make up for a declining birthrate... but i digress!
within the empire you could have something like this during wartime where you’d have a portion of your adult population go off to fight and probably die.
Tumblr media
but the IDEAL is this:
Tumblr media
a perfect square of population if you will lol.
as older generations age out and die off, you have newer generation to fill their roles and keep the imperial dream going.
now unlike some modern countries irl that do a terrible job of trying to incentivize young adults into having kids (we all know who lol), the empire aids and supports parents 110%.
paid leave (for both), govt run daycares and schools so that when the kids are old enough to go to those the parents can focus back on their work. either tax breaks or monthly allowances from the govt to help pay for the kids. and usually, extended familial support is more common in the empire. so the question for most ppl in the empire isn’t “do you want to have kids?” but rather “when are you having kids?”
if however someone just vehemently opposes the idea of being a parent, there is no down side. the empire will not force parenthood on ppl since that’s a terrible idea for everyone involved.
that’s basically it... a more informal and jumbled post i know lol.
a few side notes?
teen pregnancy isn’t really a thing. if it happens the attitude is “you’re basically a child so no, you’re not gonna have baby.” (abortion is seen as a health service)
when imperials join the military at 20 (the legal adult age in the empire) everyone, regardless of sex, gets a birth control implant. bc having a lot of young adults close together... ppl are bound to get horny and you don’t wanna have the possibility of anyone having kids in inopportune circumstances so yea. they can have the implant removed whenever their mandatory service is done and get straight to making babies if they want lol.
children born out of wedlock def exist. very frowned upon in upper castes. not really a big deal with lower castes.
can you adopt kids. yes. and unlike rl where you have to pay lots of money, you don’t really pay anything. but the govt will require a lot of forms and check ups and visits and etc etc.
can adopted children become house heirs? yes. if that is the wish of their parent.
god the drama and tropes there must be in their media... “well your father is a lesser consort, so how bout you stfu!” “D:<”
are there “pure love” marriages in upper castes? yes. but a lot of drama revolve around those depending on who is the one being married off.
also, sith can and have been totally disowned if they decide to marry someone without their family’s approval. (this is serious business for them! lol)

summary: you’ve always refused to lose, and love was no exception. (gone girl-ish au)
pairing(s): ransom drysdale x dark!reader, a special mystery guest ;)
word count: 3.7k
warnings: 18+ because of heavy themes! faked death, framing of crimes, manipulation, alluding to sex, alluding to cheating, terrible relationship dynamic, very loose usage of the word crazy/psychotic, implied mention of self harm, brief choking & slapping (in a non sexual way lol), pregnancy trapping (idk if thats the right term), the reader is a very bad human being, overuse of italics  *please let me know if i’m missing any warnings!
author’s note: this is my 2nd submission for @stargazingfangirl18’s 5k soft dark challenge, i decided to make the reader dark >:) but ransom is also not a good person. I used these prompts: “I’ve waited a long time for this, sweetheart.” & The town golden *girl isn’t as sweet as everyone thinks.
this is definitely the most unhinged thing i’ve ever written, but blame @literate-lamb for making me write this because when i pitched this to her and said that i’d probably never write it, she enabled me.
okay that's enough from me. join my taglist if you want :D
“I know women whose entire personas are woven from a benign mediocrity. Their lives are a list of shortcomings: the unappreciative boyfriend, the extra ten pounds, the dismissive boss, the conniving sister, the straying husband. I've always hovered above their stories, nodding in sympathy and thinking how foolish they are, these women, to let these things happen, how undisciplined. And now to be one of them! One of the women with the endless stories that make people nod sympathetically and think: Poor dumb bitch.” Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl
Your whole life, you’d considered yourself a competitive person. Constantly overcompensating for one thing or another, whether it was the chronic desire to achieve perfection that had been installed in you since you were a little girl, or your persistent internalized sense of inadequacy. You realized early on that it was much better for you to win than for you to lose, no matter the physical, emotional, or mental cost of the prize of perfection.
For the most part, this mindset worked out for you. You graduated as Valedictorian from your high school, neared the top of your graduating class at Harvard. God knew you earned it, all those tears you shed into overpriced textbooks, all the popping of unprescribed Adderall, and robbing yourself of the parties and social events that the rest of your peers gladly indulged in.
You were just different, which was why you gained a job nearly immediately after your exit from school, quickly climbing to the top at the Blood Like Wine publishing company after only a few years of being there.
And one night, at the party celebrating the release of A Thousand Knives when you laid your eyes on Hugh Ransom Drysdale, the grandson of your boss, you knew that you needed to have him. Rich, hot, a bit of an asshole. You deserved to finally complete your image, and that socialite flavored eye candy seemed to fit the part perfectly. Luckily for you, he was desperate. It only took a few tugs on your dress’ V-line, and a number of knowing smirks to find yourself being finger-banged in his family manor’s bathroom.
From there, you wormed your way into his life. Leaving belongings at his place as an excuse to come back, and offering booty calls in the middle of the night. Ransom must’ve been much more desperate than you originally thought, as it really only seemed to take one night of stroking his hair while he vented about his family to make him want to be with you. Men with mommy issues were always so easy.
Except, he wasn’t that easy. The longer you got to know Ransom, the more fucked up you realized he really was. He had no boundaries at all, became jealous and enraged at the drop of a pin, and occasionally told you things that made the hairs on your arms rise.
This of course all came to a head after the night of Harlan’s 85th birthday party. When the news broke of his tragic death, you’d immediately known it was the works of your Hugh. If your intuition wasn’t enough, his confession in the shower, where he’d demanded you take off your clothes to display that you were without a bug, certainly was.
You were completely devastated. The man that you’d invested so much into for years had thrown both his and your reputations down the drain in just a matter of hours. Of course, you felt bad for Harlan too. He was a good guy (when he wasn’t instigating a family fight).
Still, you showed up during the funeral in your best mourning clothes and dawning your biggest crocodile tears. You rubbed Linda’s back while she mourned the loss of her father, and the new truth about her husband. You played dumb when interrogated by some Southern private investigator, even giving Ransom an airtight alibi. You testified on his behalf in court with enough conviction to grant you an Emmy.
You’d gotten so far, devoted so much energy into him, that you simply refused to lose now.
To your friends, you’d seemed to lead a near perfect life. Dream job, dreamy boyfriend, dream bank account, but it wasn’t enough. You wanted more, you just didn’t know what.
It dawned on you while sipping mimosas at the country club, Ransom playing tennis with his friends just a few yards away from you while Danielle showed off her brand new engagement ring, a .59 Carat Asscher Diamond, that if you heard her speak of again, would probably make you lose your shit.
You zoned out as she droned on and on about the shape, and how Matt proposed to her in their own private room in one of the most exclusive Parisian restaurants, instead focusing on how you could find yourself in the same position as that airhead next to you. In all honesty, you couldn’t stand the idea that someone was doing better than you, let alone someone in your own social circle. Dani got all the bragging rights of being engaged to the heir of some tech giant, being the first in your friend group to get eloped, and worst of all, Matt wasn’t even making her sign a prenup.
You blankly watched Ransom from afar, taking occasional sips from your sweet drink, while you thought of how you deserved all of that and more, and you were going to get it one way or another.
——
It didn’t take much to come up with something, your first and most obvious plan being to simply ask Ransom when he was going to propose to you. Of course, this wasn’t the first time you’d tried to approach him about this subject, you just wondered if maybe this time things would be different.
Panting heavily after a rather rough night in bed, you rolled off of your boyfriend’s chest and gave him a messy, yet sincere kiss. You knew your man well, and if there was any time to pop the question, it was in his post-nut haze.
“Baby,” you said breathily, “I wanna ask you something.”
“Shoot,” he responded casually, glancing over at you.
“When’re you gonna propose to me?” you hummed.
Ransom groaned and shook his head, rolling his eyes, “this is about Matt and Dani, huh?” he tutted, then extended a hand out to your warm cheeks so he could gently caress one with his thumb. “Thought we agreed marriage is just a piece of paper and it’s stupid.”
You huffed in response.
Of fucking course.
“I never said that,” you muttered, setting a hand on his broad chest. “Besides, it’ll be good if you get pissed and decide to like, kill your dad or something. Y’know, spouses don’t have to testify against each other in court.”
Ransom chuckled as if this whole thing was funny, like your feelings were some kind of sick joke to him. “You know my lawyers, babe. They could prove that bees don’t make honey. That bears don’t shit in the forest. I appreciate your attempt, though. This has been some really nice pillow talk.”
“Whatever,” you muttered, pinching his nipple in retaliation before turning your back to him and yanking the blanket onto your side.
You weren’t sure why you were so surprised that he was being stubborn, most of the time you felt like you were pulling teeth from the man. But that’s why you had a backup plan! You always had a backup plan. That’s what separated you from your boyfriend. Where Ransom was extemporized and impulsive, you were calculating and prudent.
Although you devised your plan that very afternoon while watching your partner backhand small green balls, you were going to need some time to get everything in order, to prove Murphy and his stupid law wrong in making sure that everything that could go wrong wouldn’t.
After all, love was a game. And you sure as hell weren’t losing to Hugh Drysdale.
——
You sacrificed too much to have your plans ruined by some trust fund baby with impulsivity issues. You deserved your dream marriage, the stability you wished you had as a child. You wanted the white picket fence, and everything that came along with it. Your desire to be the best, to be perfect was what drove you to poke holes in every condom in the box, what led you to draw liters of your own blood in hopes of staging a fake crime scene, to buy a cheap getaway car and burner phone off of Craigslist, and reach out to a high school boyfriend who you knew was in a position as desperate as you.
You planted seeds of doubt in your friends throughout the following weeks, feeding them lies about Ransom’s behavior, how you were afraid of telling him that you did in fact see two faint red lines on that damn plastic stick– only half of the statement truly being false–, telling them that he was behaving erratically lately.
It all was going without a hitch. Ransom didn’t seem to notice anything was off, despite your frequent visits to the bathroom and newfound affinity for true crime documentaries.
You almost felt guilty, knowing the world of pain you were about to throw the man into. Granted, he deserved the pain. You were in a relationship with a genuinely terrible person, and that person had made a conscious effort not to commit to you. You tried to make this easy for him, give him a chance to say a few words to you and slide a ring on your finger, but no, he always seemed to take the hard route.
You slept like a baby the night before you were setting your plan in action. You made sure to uphold the facade of everything being fine, making Ransom a nice breakfast before sending him halfway across town to the hardware store with an oddly incriminating list.
Once he was out of the house, you hurried off to the fridge in the garage where you’d been keeping a small stash of your own blood. It wasn’t pretty, but it had to be done. You poured the blood throughout the kitchen, splattering bits of it on the counters and cupboards. You poorly cleaned the mess, just as he would.
You put your next move in motion, falsifying a home invasion. You tossed over a table and some chairs, throwing books and photos onto the floor, but left some aspects slightly untouched, like an upright picture frame to give yet another hint that things were not exactly what they appeared.
You left a tiny blue post-it note on the nightstand of Ransom’s side of the bed, a quick and simple doodle of a ring along with the first initial of your name inked onto the tiny piece of paper.
With that, you were off. Technically missing, soon-to-be presumed dead.
----
The days following your disappearance had gone even better than you’d initially planned. Local news coverage had been all over you, search and rescue groups were assiduously looking for you, your parents had opened a tip line, and begged for you to get home safe on news segments. But the best part of it all was that Ransom had been briefly found himself in police custody, only to be released shortly thereafter. His past of an accused murder quickly made your disappearance even more of a national story, and you watched the whole thing unravel from the safety and comfort of your high school boyfriend, Andy Barber’s Newton home.
Of course, you fed him the same lies you’d given to your friends, and seeing the rather lonely position he was in, he gladly let you stay with him. You were absolutely having a hay-day with it all, dedicating hours of your day to watching Ransom slowly unravel. Maybe it was a bit sadistic of you to enjoy torturing your partner so much, but he needed to learn his lesson. You deserved better. You needed Ransom to rise up to your level, allowing you to finally complete your image. To let you two appear to be the perfect couple. Really, this was all on him.
Andy, for the most part, had been a good host. He was gone for the majority of the day, dedicating himself to his work while you lounged around on his dangerously cozy couch. Around two weeks into your stay, you were sharing a box of pizza in the living room with your old lover when something interesting on the television caught your eye.
Ransom, broadcasted on CBS, being interviewed on your disappearance.
You watched with wide eyes as Ransom begged for your return on national television. It was one thing seeing your mother plead for you to come back, the same woman who had installed such toxic behavior in you sob for your return, but Ransom. You’d never loved him more than in that moment.
“Hugh, if you could tell Y/N one thing, what would it be?” the interviewer asked.
Ransom turned, looking straight at the camera, directly into your soul, “Y/N, I love you so much. More than you’ll ever know. I need you to come back safely, to see you, to hold you again. I’d give anything in the world for that right now,” he looked down, a tear falling down his cheek. “I can’t live without you in my life, I-”
His sentence was cut off by Andy grabbing the remote, and turning off the TV. You turned your head and frowned deeply at him.
“Why’d you do that?” you asked with a bit of a pout.
“I just couldn’t stand listening to him talk about you like he hasn’t treated you like shit for the past few years. C’mon, let’s get ready for bed.”
Your blood boiled. Andy was once a means to an end, but now he was interfering. He was clearly much too selfish to see that you and Ransom were quite obviously soulmates. A match made in hell.
You followed him to bed regardless, curling up on what had been your side of the bed for the past few days, and staring at the wall until Andy’s breaths moved from a soft and rhythmic pattern to loud snores. God, those snores were obnoxious.
You slipped out of bed and to his dresser, grabbing two soft ties from the drawer, and daintily tying his wrists to each side of the bedpost.
“What‘re you doing?” he mumbled, instinctively yanking both of his wrists as he awoke.
“I’m going back home,” you whispered.
“You can’t be serious,” Andy huffed, tugging on the restraint attached to the headboard.
You shook your head, “I am.”
“I should’ve known. Why would you do something like this? Do you know how much trouble you’ll be in with the law?”
“Do you know how much trouble you’ll be in when the world finds out that you kidnapped me?” you retorted.
This threat seemed to wake him up right away, “what about this was kidnapping? I gave you a nice home, fed you, I didn’t even make a pass at you. I didn’t do shit to you,” he hissed. “You think I can’t prove that? I’m a lawyer, for god's sake!”
You nearly laughed, “Okay, Andy,” you paused for a moment, “As a lawyer, who do you think everyone’ll believe? Someone who the world was on a wild goose chase for in the last two weeks? Or the man with a family history of violence? Must I remind you that your father and your son have killed people?”
Andy shook his head, face pinched in sorrow at the mention of his deceased son, clearly a low blow. “You’re insane,” he muttered.
“Swear to god that you won’t tell a soul what happened here,” you leaned over him, getting right in his face. “Or I promise, Andrew Barber, I will ruin you. You’ll spend the rest of your life behind bars, or disbarred, or whatever the hell I decide to do with you. So keep your goddamn lips shut.”
You pulled away and he solemnly nodded, not bothering to put up a fight. You loosened the fabric around his left wrist and walked out of the room. You picked up the keys to Andy’s Audi on your way out, checking the time as you adjusted the driver's seat.
9:45 PM. Fatherhood really changed the man.
You pushed that thought aside and began your drive home, which turned out to be a surprisingly short trip. When you pulled up in front of your home, you were met with a slew of reporters outside of the house, along with a police car that seemed to be permanently camped there.
As you slowly got out of the car, a gasp, followed by a loud silence fell across the crowd. You limped for dramatic effect up the driveway as cameras followed you, and glanced back at them pathetically. From your peripheral view, you noticed the officers get out of their vehicle.
You finally got to your door, ringing the doorbell and waiting. You blinked harshly a few times, conjuring up the tears you needed to really make a spectacle of the event. After a few minutes, Ransom opened the door, eyes widening as he looked at you. He stepped out, and you wrapped him in as big of a hug as you could manage, genuinely missing his embrace. It was possible that you even let out a few real tears in the moment.
Your emotional embrace was interrupted by the man you recognized as Lieutenant Elliott, the same officer who’d been assigned to Harlan’s case.
“Ma’am,” he began, only to be shut down by you.
“Please, just let me be with my boyfriend,” you pleaded, crocodile tears streaming down your face as you spoke with the officer. You still needed time to get your story straight.
“Just give us the night, Lieutenant. We’ll come in first thing tomorrow morning,” Ransom added, furrowing his brows at the officer that he’d come into contact with far too many times.
He looked to his partner, who shrugged, then to you, “enjoy your night.”
Cameras flashed around you as civilians, journalists, and newscasters alike attempted to catch your attention. You grabbed Ransom’s hand and dramatically pulled him inside, insincerely attempting to hide your face by ducking and covering half of your face with your arm.
As soon as you were in the privacy of your own home, Ransom threw you against a wall.
“Why. The fuck. Would you pull a stunt like that,” he hissed through gritted teeth, eyes wild, and a hand around your throat.
You whimpered as he tightened his grip, rage clearly flowing through his system uncontrollably.
“Do you know what you did to me? You almost had me thrown in fucking jail. Do you understand that?”
You nodded weakly, “Ran,” you whispered, “the baby,” you glanced down at your stomach.
He paused, dropping his grip on your neck and staring at you in awe, “no…”
You nodded again.
“How…? You told me you were on the pill… You- you made me use protection…”
“Surprise?” you said weakly.
“You’re a psychotic bitch.”
“I’m your psychotic bitch. And no child of mine will be born out of wedlock,” you taunted.
“That’s what this is about?” Ransom laughed manically. “You did this all because I won’t fucking marry you?”
You didn’t even have to respond.
“I should send you to the loony bin right fucking now.”
“What happened to all those things you said to me on TV?”
“You’re fucking delusional. I can’t do this.”
“Yes, you can. And you will. I’ve had to put up with you and your stupid little antics for way too long. How do you think I felt when you killed your own grandfather?”
Ransom scoffed, throwing his hands up in exasperation, “you are so fucked up.”
“I’m the fucked up one? You killed your own blood in cold blood! You’re unhinged!”
“You faked your own death for attention, and got pregnant while doing it! Is that baby even mine?”
“The fuck are you trying to say, Hugh?”
“I asked if it’s even mine.”
“Really. You’re accusing me of cheating on you. That’s rich considering Mia, Layla, and whoever the fuck else. You’re being ridiculous.”
“I’m being ridiculous? You couldn’t have a normal adult conversation with me!”
“Are you kidding me? I asked you time after time to marry me and it was always some bullshit excuse!” you wagged a finger in his face as you spoke. “Oh, commitment scares me, oh, marriage is just a piece of paper, oh-“ you mocked his voice in a deeper tone before you were cut off by the sting of his hand against your cheek.
“Can you shut the hell up?” he growled at you as you held your own cheek, before you reached out and slapped him back, “I can’t believe that I’m stuck with such a deranged bitch for the rest of my life.”
“Maybe work on your vows a little, dear. I don’t think that those words are as charming to me as they’d be to the rest of our family and friends.”
“You can’t be serious,” he groaned.
“But I am,” you hummed, rubbing your cheek softly once again. “Look at how fast your life fell apart without me here. How quickly the public turned on you. Imagine how upset they’d be if you left me. I love you, Ran. I really do. You and I are perfect for each other, can’t you see that now?”
Ransom took a step away from you, pacing slowly in front of you. He ran a stressed hand through his hair, and took a long and drawn out breath, clearly at a loss for words.
“So when should we have the wedding? I’ve always wanted a Spring wedding, and I know it’s a little short notice, but I don’t want to be showing too much in my wedding dress,” you grabbed Ransom’s bicep gently, as if you were just having a regular old day with him, as if you hadn’t been choked and slapped moments ago. “But we can make it work. We always make it work, right?”
Your now fiancé stared vacantly at the wall ahead of him, giving you a slow, empty nod of agreement.
“It’s settled then,” you smirked. “I’ll start looking at venues. You find me a nice ring, okay Honey? One that puts all those other bitches’ rings to shame,” you sighed pleasantly to yourself, “I’ve waited a long time for this, sweetheart.”
You pressed a soft kiss to his cheek before hurrying up the stairs and into your bedroom. You heard a distant shriek of  “fuck,” from Ransom, but you truly could not care less.
You hopped into bed, grabbing your laptop from its charger and promptly opening it. You couldn’t help but to smile at your own reflection on the empty black screen. This wasn’t how you imagined your engagement, but you did the impossible. You tied yourself down to Hugh Ransom Drysdale, he went down kicking in screaming, and you were likely in for a lifetime of cheating and resentment, but you did it nonetheless.
You finally won.
