#okay i did not have to edit this one. score#shiftry#anyway i really don't like this pokémon or anything about it. SORRY but it's true it's really ugly and its mouth and the nose#and it has the same things i don't like about it that i talked about with nuzleaf. i just don't get it but this time it wasn't in psmd#so i'm not attached to it just by virtue of that. and well. that contributes to me not really liking it i suppose#ahh well. better luck next time TPC you can make a good grass/dark-type eventually (it's meowscarada) (it took 6 generations)#hi it's me from two weeks later like the actual day this post is going to post. i came back to edit the tags so i could respond to some#comments. crazy‚ i know! but i saw the tags on this one were a bit short so let's beef 'em up. the nuzleaf post got some comments#about the whole prosthetic memory thing. where i set reminders on my phone to do shit or else i will not do the shit#i literally have a reminder set for 2:30 PM today to eat food. or else i won't even do that i bet#and folks are saying it's a common ADHD experience and that i'm not a fail and i do appreciate it. i think i was joking a bit#i was probably just frustrated i had to edit the image after taking it but the gist is. i don't *think* i have ADHD? i do have autism#which i suspected for a loooooong while until i finally up and got diagnosed when i was fucking 21 years old. which is insane. so i wonder#if that's an experience that overlaps. i imagine it is bc they proooobably would've been able to tell me if i had ADHD‚ too#okay. i moved these tags over here from nosepass‚ actually‚ which is the pokémon i just queued up. so i'm gonna go remove them from there#see you in street fighter five everybody

How would you as the writer say each of the main six characters fits into which major characteristics of the five man band?
I'd say they don't, but it is fun to lay out the arguments for each of them filling every role.
Kendal:
The Leader; he's the one who got everyone together and he carries the most authority, literally speaking for a deity and doing most of the real negotiations with the powerful forces they deal with.
The Lancer; he's a foil to nearly everybody else in the group, and despite his quiet and gentle tone, has the worst track record of going off by himself and getting into trouble.
The Big Guy; he's got the most metaphysical oomph with the widest applications, and he hits the hardest out of anyone when he decides to start hitting. Gets taken out of commission early to avoid this outcome.
The Smart Guy; with the accumulated knowledge of centuries' worth of lifetimes and the remembered experience of a god, he has access to a wellspring of knowledge with an ease that nobody else can match.
The Heart; he's the one who keeps drawing people into the group, and he cares so, so deeply about their well-being.
Alinua:
The Leader; when the others argue or fret, she's the one who actually makes decisions.
The Lancer; she's learned a lot of hard lessons and sees Kendal making mistakes she's already learned from, and that tension brings them into conflict even though they care deeply about each other.
The Big Guy; direct conduit to a force beyond any god, when something really big needs breaking it's up to her and nobody else.
The Smart Guy; literally cannot stop overthinking, has an intuitive understanding of something deeply arcane to everyone else.
The Heart; motivated by deep compassion at the core of her being, even when it's tactically unwise or she thinks it'll make her explode.
Erin:
The Leader; he is absolutely certain that he is the leader of the group.
The Lancer; proud and self-confident, immediately sure that he knows what's going on better than anyone else, he's a foil to both Kendal and Alinua who are very aware of their limits. This also means Erin gets himself into trouble so, so often, and is continually surprised when the others bail him out.
The Big Guy: The most diverse range of magical firepower plus a superpowered evil side for spice. Erin is a mighty glacier and a glass cannon at the same time.
The Smart Guy; he is absolutely certain he is the smart guy of the group. The most book-smart, certainly, and fundamentally driven by a deep and profound curiosity to understand the world.
The Heart; he'd never say or believe as much, but his greatest frustration with himself is that he wants to be coldly logical and brilliant and instead he's driven by a pesky moral compass that demands he sacrifice his goals and convenience for the people he loves.
Falst:
The Leader; he'd never believe so, but he's very good at taking charge in a crisis, and the decisions he makes generally work out well for everyone. He's also very good at thinking tactically in terms of everyone's abilities and how they factor into the group. Also, probably the most explicitly loyal member of the group.
The Lancer; almost the platonic ideal of Lancer Energy. Angry and snarky and happy to second-guess everyone around him.
The Big Guy; in a Wolverine sort of way, it's less how hard he hits and more how hard he can get hit before he goes down for good. This is the only role he thinks he's good for.
The Smart Guy; aside from a lot of street smarts, he's a deeply curious and puzzle-solving type, and Erin has been deeply impressed with him since he robbed him for the purposes of homebrewing a backyard enchantment. It's all tactical.
The Heart; deeply, painfully loyal to his friends due to a raw, open wound of loneliness. Will hold the group together if he has to dig in his claws to do it.
Dainix:
The Leader; the only person in the group who actually has experience leading a troupe of fighters and knows how to look out for a group as a whole rather than a handful of loners.
The Lancer; the role he thinks the fills, in the "second in command good at taking orders" sort of way.
The Big Guy; has a literal hulk mode
The Smart Guy; the "has way too many weapons and knows how to use all of them" variety. His expertise is in taking down things much bigger and scarier than he is, and you can't do that without being tactical.
The Heart; deeply empathic and extremely in tune with how the people around him are feeling, and the only member of the group with both the emotional intelligence and the sharpness to cut through various teammate's emotional defenses and actually get them to open up. Not too polite to leave other people's issues alone.
Tess:
The Leader; no way in hell. The only role she categorically denies. Tess's beating heart is wanderlust and that doesn't mesh with a group of any kind.
The Lancer; yes please. She'll do her own thing first and foremost, and when it intersects with other people, she'll help out as she sees best.
The Big Guy; a literal lightning bruiser who resolves every problem by finding a way to punch it.
The Smart Guy; a subtler instance because she's fairly inattentive to anything outside her very narrow range of focus, but when it comes to her areas of expertise, she puts things together faster than anyone else. The first to realize what was going on with Tynan, the first to understand Dainix, the first to track down Erin.
The Heart; not particularly observant, but when she's confronted with someone she recognizes to be in deep distress, she'll open her heart and "home" to them without hesitation. Also, makes friends ridiculously easily.

The Thirteen Best Winter Fragrances On The Market Proper Now
The rivet part also uses the Micro Stud, with a very lovely pink shade, giving a cool feeling of sturdy and rock. Gift Dior this holiday season with the Sauvage scent that’s riveting, extremely woody and earthy and all-natural for every day. If you’re in search of a “safe” scent that nearly any man would love, Giorgio Armani’s Acqua Di Gio is your greatest wager. I recommend it to everybody IRL, my brother loves it and it makes a nice show with the designer label. From YSL to Prada, you’ll get pleasure from deep reductions with Sephora’s Fragrance for All Event, the place dozens of scents aren’t upwards of hundreds of dollars any extra because of the magical code, FRAGRANCE20. I purchased the trumpet and I really feel that the capability is large enough. I like the square replica bag tote , it is higher to place issues, as proven in Figure four, my standard, charging treasure, card replica bag tote , small wallet is also OK, air cushion lipstick, as properly as camera phone. I feel that it is suitable for any event and the value is very high. It hits all the right notes of the stuff your grandpa used to put on however somehow does so in a lighter way. The Hedonist is a darkish, woody fragrance with slightly bit of effervescent sweetness that pulls by way of during wear, due to the ginger and bergamot at the very high. valentino bags replica The coronary heart of the scent may be very woody, and the bottom accommodates vetiver, moss, and tonka bean. After the massive success of Cloud by Ariana Grande, we have seen a lot of cloud ideas in fragrances lately . KK, the long-legged supermodel, can’t wait to hold it out of the street. Also sharper is the traditional black, very refined and superior gas subject, it appears to be far more exciting than the typical black bag. No, Viktor&Rolf isn’t limited to its bestselling Flowerbomb fragrance . As a special deal with for men, the Spicebomb carries with it a cool spicy scent to interrupt away from the tried-and-true heat woodsy scent. As one of Sephora’s most-shopped-for men’s colognes, Jo Malone London knows what it’s doing with the Wood Sage & Sea Salt. She also began studying at the Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy and graduated a few years after her flight. The group spent a quantity of months in primary training and, after they completed their coaching and handed an examination, Kamanin provided them the choice to be commissioned as regular Air Force officers. With advice from the male cosmonauts, they chose to just accept Kamanin's supply, as it will make it tougher for the program to get rid of them after the first flight. Although she didn't go to area again, she remained an instructor at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center. Props for taking footage of the actual product although, and never simply stealing photos from Valentino and Photoshopping their very own brand name in like Mavirs and VASHOP LOL. Valentino's unique cool-pink take on a nude color, you are most likely out of luck. I've looked by way of the WeChat moments of most of the trusted sellers and haven't seen any actually correct Poudre pairs. But, if we have been to debate scents and seasons, then my favorite is winter. Alice received rave critiques for her Rockstuds on the Rep Lovers United forum -- xcollection is the name of the Taobao store that she sourced her best Rockstuds from, nevertheless it seems like they do not sell Rockstuds anymore . Fang is just about universally adored for her high quality items. The heel and sole is thicker, and the toebox/vamp doesn’t look as elegant to me. Supposedly made out of “leather”, however trying on the customer photos I’d be fairly shocked in the occasion that they weren’t fake leather-based or PVC. It’s the kind of perfume I want more of, the type of scent I need everyone to make. Vanilla Diorama is a spicy take on vanilla that makes you feel comforted, cozy, and horny. The model will let you know Spell On You "conjures the ecstasy of affection, blending sensuality and lightness," and I love any perfume impressed by love because fragrance is so tied to emotion.

Day 5: Platonic
A story I wrote for today's prompt. It's a story about two middle aged men realising the happiness they want can come in many different forms.
1. 8 k words.
Cw: Mild homophobia. Incorrect language. It's indicative of character's understanding, not mine.
...
When Vikram Kumar first transferred to their branch, Nath wasn't impressed. Theirs was a small transport company, still somehow holding on against the giants of the industry. They were doing well for themselves; they had branches in few neighbouring states where the business was concentrated. And yeah, the company policy does state that employees should get transferred around every 4 years or so. But that never really happened. Nath had been working at Gada transport ltd for more than 25 years now and the only way anybody new ever came in the office was if someone died or retired.
That was what had happened. Another clerk, Nisha Bhagwan, had a heart attack at the computer and in came Vikram Kumar, a transfer from Nagpur. The office people took to him like animals take to the new clown at the circus. Nobody was really sad about Mrs Bhagwan's passing. She was old and in an office full of other old people, they were just waiting for the hat to drop on someone. Better Mrs Bhagwan than us.
They inquired after him, after his family, his mother's family, his neighbour's family, his neighbour's dog's family. When they found out that he was divorced and currently living in a sketchy hotel, they immediately turned to Nath.
Nath, or Adinath, as his name was, owned two flats in his society. Two flats side by side, one in which he lived. He very famously refused to rent it out to families or students or single women. Which meant, he never really rented it out. It actually quite suited to his own solitary silent life. But he regretted boasting about it in the office because here came his perfect rent.
"I- uh. The apartment is very dirty and I'd have to clean it," he started making excuses.
Vikram Kumar shrugged. "I don't mind. Better than listening to the sex noises coming from the side wall." Raucous laughter emerged, unhampered by the fact that their only woman employee wasn't there anymore.
Nath couldn't say no.
Vikram Kumar did turn out to be an ideal renter. He was silent. No guests. Rent, which Nath had kept a little high to dissuade, always on time. Sometimes old hindi songs drifted from his flat but Nath didn't mind. As his novelty wore off and office people stopped fawning over him, Nath did find himself to be quite okay with Vikram Kumar's existence.
A distinct mark in his favour was that he didn't laugh when at their regular chai break (5 minute break that always turned into a 45 minute one) the others made him familiar with Nath's title as the resident Bramhachari.
"Never married, never looks at a woman," Bhosle, their manager remarked.
"Hey you remember that time when that bombshell came in complaining about some lost package? Nath did not even look away from her face."
"Pakka gentleman, I tell you. He's not the customer complaint manager for nothing."
Everybody guffawed. Nath gave his regular pained smile. Vikram Kumar smiled back. For a moment, Nath thought it was a smile of understanding.
Eventually, Nath started offering Vikram Kumar a ride home on his ancient scooter. He obliged. When the ride turned regular, Vikram Kumar started contributing for petrol. Another mark in his favour.
13 months later, Vivek Chand, accountant, retired. In came a new hire, Ashalata Waad.
Suddenly many colleagues started turning up in pressed shirts and oiled hair. Nath merely shook his head and laughed at their preening. It was their colleagues' turn to laugh when Ms. Ashalata, recently widowed, took to Nath. Furtive smiles. Sympathy over dealing with difficult clients. Nath of course did not notice. But the other colleagues did. And out of sympathy for Ms Ashalata's feelings, they gently took her to a side after a week or so and directed her towards someone more likely to respond; the new divorcee, Vikram Kumar.
That, Nath certainly noticed.
That evening, Nath left without offering a ride to him.
Next morning, everyone noticed the distinct coldness between Ms Ashalata and Vikram Kumar. It was a long day too. Some trouble with licensing of a large shipment, everybody had to stay behind. It was well over 8 when people started leaving. Vikram came over to Nath's desk and tapped on it.
"I don't think this late I will find a riksha like yesterday. Will you please give a ride home?"
Nath sighed. He wasn't petty after all. Well, not much.
The streets were near empty. Theirs was a small town. One that eats at 8 and sleeps at 10. Nath's scooter cut through the silence and the sickly orange lights of the streetlamps like an interloper. They were crossing the Hutatma Chauk when Vikram asked him to stop.
"What for?"
"It was a long and stressful day. I wanted us a relax a bit at the park bench before we go home."
"I'm not going-"
"Please yaar."
Nath sighed.
Stopping the scooter at side, they both walked to the circle where statue of some forgotten freedom fighter stood, benches around it. Surprisingly, there were some people ambling around. Old couples taking a rest from nightly walk. A group of youngsters.
After having the sound of scooter in the ears for past five minutes, the sudden silence was deafening.
"I don't think Ms Waad would be talking to me again," Vikram Kumar started without preamble, a laughter in his voice.
Nath sighed and ran a hand through in thin hair. "You didn't do any-"
"No no, oh god no! I just said I'm not interested. I think that was enough for her to be offended."
"She's not your type?" he probed gently, curious.
Vikram was silent for a moment and then burst out with sudden emotion, "Why does it matter? Why one single woman and one single man can not stay without having an affair? Ye saala bollywood-" Nath hushed him, noticing the people around.
"Sorry." Vikram said, taking a deep breath to calm himself down.
"I get it. Years ago, when I told my father I was gay-"
"You're what??"
Nath felt like he made a tremendous mistake in judgement. But he was a grown man dammit, he will hold his ground!
"I said I am gay." Nath held his gaze. Vikram Kumar stared back, unknown range of emotions passing. Eventually he broke the gaze, ran a hand through his own balding hair and sat back.
He shook his head. "I am not gay, if that's why you-"
"That wasn't-"
"I'm NOT. I like women. I- I mean men are good too. I. I don't-"
Nath couldn't help it. He broke into a loud laugh. Like Vikram had performed some excellent comedy sketch.
Vikram punched him lightly on his shoulder, a smile evident on his face.
"I just meant, men, women. All are same to me. Honestly, I didn't mind being married to Sheela. I provided for her, I cared for her wellbeing. Our.. bedroom relations were less ideal but I didn't shut her out. I did my duty."
"I'm guessing she wanted someone who didn't see her as a duty?"
Vikram shrugged. "She was nice about it. Told me plain and simple she found someone else. We didn't have kids. It was easy. Well. As easy as it could be. She told the court I was impotent for swift divorce. I agreed. It caused drama in families though, which is why I asked for a transfer."
"Mrs Bhagwan died at a really opportune moment then."
They both shared a laugh and things fell silent once again.
"So you are... one of those," Vikram tried to say casually.
The elderly couple had left. A newly wed looking one took their place. Nath suddenly felt he was thrown back in time.
"I don't have much family," he started. "Mother died when I was young. Theirs was a love marriage, quite unusual for the times. They had run away and so had lost their families. My father raised me well enough; started pestering me for marriage when I got the job at 22. I kept avoiding for few years. But eventually I had to tell him. I wasn't going to ruin some poor woman's life." Nath looked pointedly at Vikram. Vikram didn't take offence. Just laughed self-consciously. Mark in his favour etc etc.
"Father raged for days. Didn't raise his hand on me, didn't tell anyone else but we fought a lot. It wasn't that he denied my condition. He just wanted a family. On some level we understood each other. I realise it now. I knew he wanted me to marry because he didn't want his hard fought family to die with me. And I guess, he probably knew what it meant to love someone you weren't supposed to.
He died soon after."
"When you were thirty, I remember you telling me."
Nath nodded. "I was free. I had a place of my own. A job. No family to hide myself from. I felt guilty over feeling relieved. I felt angry at being guilty. Then came sadness over being angry. That sadness stayed for a decade."
Vikram asked, "So you never...?
Nath shook out of his trip to memory lane. "Hm?"
"Are you? A bramhachari? Did you ever find-"
"There were some men here and there. Obviously there wasn't going to be a relationship," Nath scoffed. "If you know where to look, you can find release. But after Father died, I don't know, I rarely ever went looking for anybody. I didn't have it in me."
Vikram laughed. "Look at us. Two old men, all on their own, no happy family for us."
"Speak for yourself, I'm barely a day over 40," said the man, almost 50.
Vikram laughed again, looking at him with such fondness in his eyes. Nath felt sharp fear for a moment. Then he decided to be an adult again.
"You look well for your age too."
"Nath..."
Nath shivered at hearing his name. It was an intimate name. People didn't say it much. But it fit in Vikram's mouth.
"I don't want to change anything," Vikram said. "I'm happy as things are. It's ideal. I can't offer anything more."
Nath got up, brushing dust from his pants. It had gotten late. They were alone at the circle. A vehicle passing by to remind them of the world that exists.
"I'll take whatever you can offer," he said, looking away from him.
"Friendship? For as long as I live?" Vikram held out his hand.
Nath looked at it. Big, warm. Hairy. Pale skin where the wedding ring used to sit. He extended his own and took it.
"As long as I live."
... Let me know if you like it enough to see some other prompts involving them... I have so many headcanons for them.

you should talk about your pokémon ocs sometime :0
ahh well there'd have to be enough demand for it, as with most things i talk about outside of the tags. i basically never make posts outside of ffp that aren't responses to asks—but i have responded to every ask i've gotten so far. as with every post i make that isn't ffp, i run the risk of someone out there saying "you're just the front-facing pokémon blog, i came here for that, stop talkin' so much" which is why i usually relegate my commentary to the tags unless i get an ask. sure, my oc stuff is something i'm proud of—i used to have an entire blog dedicated to it, though i deleted it after a while—but it's a pretty involved thing to talk about. there's a lot i have yet to say about myself that i could talk about, but if the demand isn't there, then i assume the general consensus is that folks are here for front-facing pokémon, and the occasional commentary in the tags
… though since you asked, i'll give a small summary rundown under the cut
what i've made is basically a homebrew ttrpg based off of the pmd series. there's a few games in the series, all with their own pmd-game-styled titles, and they're based around trying to replicate the feel and spirit of a pmd game as much as possible while still having a lot of the freedom that comes with a ttrpg as opposed to a video game. they're solo campaigns, obviously since i'm recreating pmd in ttrpg form, and they've had a few players so far—but only one has managed to get all the way through two of the campaigns
there's a lot of characters, and some of the worldbuilding is extrapolated straight from pmd. wigglytuff's guild, the expedition society, all that—i tried to structure the world in the same way while also expanding upon it based on the characters i placed in the world and more lore to give even the seasoned pmd fan things to learn about the world and what's happening in it
at one point, i did try to do a written adaptation of it online. it's since been deleted, because i entered college and sorta never had the time to update it, but i still work on the world and the characters to this day. by definition, since it's a ttrpg, it's collaborative in essence—there are baseline things that i can establish as "canon" of course, and there's an intended outcome and intended ways to play the game, but ultimately it's up to player interpretation exactly how everything is done. and that was my primary goal—to make sort of an undertale style world where it's less focused on dungeon-crawling combat like traditional dnd and more on good roleplay and character interactions + dialogue. it's just about living in the pmd world, after having been turned into a pokémon—and saving the world, too, of course
there's much, much more i could say about it, but i'll leave it at that, for now. such as the text-based nature using pmd talksprites to convey dialogue, the formatting and gameplay, the partial voice acting done by yours truly…
but if i talk about that too much then i risk talking about myself and the whole "i wish i could do voice work as a career but it doesn't seem viable so i'm stuck being a software developer" thing and we don't wanna see that

Meeting and Dating Eddie
Tumblr media
(Not my gif)(Requested by anonymous)
- You met Eddie when you went to the ‘saving the Empire’ bash. You came face to face with him while you were checking out some of the stuff they were selling.
- He was sweet, greeting you happily and making conversation as you picked something out. You talked with him for a little while before retreating back into the crowd to watch the show. You figured that that was that and that you’d never see him again, but it turned out you were wrong.
- A few days later, you went to have lunch at an Italian place and coincidentally ended up with him as your server. You initially didn’t remember him but after he mentioned the fundraiser you could vaguely recall meeting him.
- The two of you chatted for a little while before his boss called him in again and he excused himself awkwardly. You’d go on to have even more run ins and soon enough the two of you were on friendly terms.
- One day before work, you took a trip to the Empire for a quick visit. You talked for a little while as you browsed the shelves before you had to say goodbye and head out.
- Just as you were beginning to walk down the street, he rushed out of the store and called your name before nervously asking if you’d want to hang out sometime. You thought for a moment before answering him, saying you’d drop by at the end of his shift the next day.
- For your first date, the two of you go to the restaurant he works at. He gets the two of you plates from the back and you sit down, talking for a few hours about random stuff. He’s a bit strange but a good kind of strange and before you know it, you’re agreeing to see him again.
- The two of you have your first kiss about two or so weeks after your first date. You were saying goodbye as he walked you out of the shop when you both sort of just leaned in and connected your lips. It was short and sweet but neither of you minded. He said goodbye with a newfound excitement in his tone and you went on your way.
- He really can’t believe that you’re his girlfriend.
- Lots of Pda. Eddies a touchy guy, and he’s very proud of you so why wouldn’t he show everybody that he scored a babe?
- His arm is always around your shoulder
- Forehead kisses.
- Pecks on the lips.
- Long hugs. He likes to sway in place with you while you wrap your arms around each other.
- He likes being the big spoon whenever you cuddle, and he’s pretty tall so it’s one of the easiest ways for you to cuddle.
- He’ll usually just call you by your name. Pet names just don’t feel right coming out of his mouth; they’re never the first thing to come to mind when he think about addressing you.
- Making doodles together. He’ll start with one thing, you’ll draw another part of it, he’ll draw the next, and so on and so forth.
- The two of you always seem to know exactly what the other persons about to do. You’ll glance over at him, see the face he’s making and what's going on around you and immediately know what’s about to happen.
- Random sweet comments that always make you smile.
- Lots of compliments, usually about something you’ve done rather than your appearance.
- He’s your biggest cheerleader. He’s always there to excitedly root for you.
- He can always seem to make you laugh, even if he wasn’t initially meaning to.
- Mini gifts and surprises.
- Getting specially made mixtapes.
- Long talks and debates about music. He just has a lot to say about it.
- Letting him tell you about random stuff that he’s interested in. He always lets you do the same, even if he doesn’t really know what you’re talking about.
- Getting him to take care of himself a little more. Homie uses five in one bathroom bottles and you cant convince me otherwise.
- Brushing his hair out of his face and vice versa.
- Making faces at each other.
- Watching cartoons together.
- Getting high with him; if you’re into that sort of thing.
- Dancing together.
- Going to the arcade.
- Going mini golfing.
- Late night hangouts.
- Junk food binges.
- Pizza dates.
- Doesn’t matter where he’s going, you’re always invited to tag along. He likes spending as much time with you as he can.
- Don’t have a jacket? Oh he’s got an extra one! Didn’t eat today? He brought you some pizza! He’s a considerate boy.
- He tries to be helpful and give advice but he really doesn’t know what he’s talking about half the time. It’s the thought that counts, right?
- He doesn’t really notice when you’re upset so please don’t expect him to or get mad at him when he doesn’t. You’ll have to tell him when something's going on; you cant rely on subtleties.
- Filling him in on what's going on when he misses something.
- As oblivious as Eddie can be, he does; occasionally, notice when another guy is making you happy and cant help but feel a little jealous whenever he does. He’ll never let you know about it; mainly because he thinks he’s just being stupid, but rest assured, he does get jealous over you
- Eddie is a lover not a fighter though he is willing to insult someone if they hurt you. He’ll usually just do his best to comfort you after the fact rather than do something about it.
- The two of you don’t fight a lot. Eddie doesn’t ever purposefully cause any trouble so if he ever makes you angry or upset, you know it wasn’t his intentions and can just have a little conversation about it with him.
- He’ll say sorry, you’ll forgive him, and that will be that. Things are resolved in a matter of minutes and the two of you can go back to being a perfectly happy couple.
- Eddie doesn't tell you that he loves you constantly but he does say it a lot. He likes letting you know and hearing you say it back.
- All you know is that you like spending time with Eddie and he likes spending time with you. The two of you are having fun and that's all that matters.

#9: Sypha Belnades [Castlevania]
Tumblr media
Happy Castlevania Day, everyone!
We continue our little special with everybody's favourite Speaker, a self-proclaimed enemy of God, and all-around nerd – Sypha Belnades. Wielding magic, knowledge, and somehow keeping Trevor and Alucard in check, it's going to be fun to have her in your D&D game.
Next Time: ...I mean, y'all know who is left. The Cool Whip Man cometh!
So, what do we need to start shooting some spells (besides a lovely Spanish accent)?
Big Brain Time: Sypha is a Speaker, a collector of knowledge, and a walking library with expertise ranging from magic, history, and probably anything you can think of. And even more, because "we know all the words".
A Song of Ice & Fire: These two seems to be Sypha's weapons of choice. We've seen her do other feats of sorcery, but it's usually fire bolts or ice walls we see the most.
Limber! Loose! Rubber Goose!: Sypha doesn't wear any armour and is able to keep up with Trevor and Alucard, both obviously Dexterity-based fighters. If we can't give her some Hit Points, we'll make sure she can avoid danger.
---
Sypha is a Human (hooray, our first Human!) and her magic prowess gives us a good excuse to make her a Variant Human. We get a +1 to two abilities of our choice, let's pick Intelligence and Constitution. We also know Common and one other language, and we get to pick one skill proficiency, let's get Investigation. Variant Humans can also get one feat from the start; War Caster is a great idea for any spellcaster who finds themselves in the heat of battle. We have an advantage on Constitution saving throw to maintain our concentration, we can use somatic components of the spell with just one hand, and when we get to make an attack of opportunity, we can cast a spell instead of making a melee attack.
For Sypha's background, I don't think we can do anything but Sage. We're smart, we've been studying history and arcane arts our entire life, and therefore we get proficiency with Arcana and History. We get to learn two languages of our choice, and we get the Researcher feature; we have a rough idea where a piece of information we're looking for could be located, whether it's a library, archive, or somebody's residence.
ABILITY SCORES
It goes without saying that Intelligence goes first here, we need the smarts for the spells. Next up is Dexterity, we are good enough to keep up with both Trevor and Alucard, and not get easily surprised by night creatures. Constitution is next, every spellcaster needs those precious Hit Points.
Wisdom is next, we're much more the book-smart type, but we've certainly picked up some street-smarts while travelling with our whole clan. Follow that up with Charisma, it's a little lower than I would like it to be, but we occasionally get to make Trevor do what we want to. Finally, we'll be dumping Strength.
CLASS
I think nobody will be surprised if I say this is a pure build. We're going Wizard start-to-finish.
Wizards are the squishiest of squishy bois in D&D, as their Hit Dice is a d6. We start with [6 + our Constitution modifier] Hit Points and no proficiencies with any armour type. We are, however, proficient with daggers, darts, slings, quarterstaffs, and light crossbows. Our saving throws are, of course, Intelligence and Wisdom, and we get to pick two class skills; let's get Insight (to better spot shady activities in towns we visit) and Religion (God may hate us, but you know what they say - know thy enemy).
Level 1 - We start with Arcane Recovery, which is a useful trick to recover spell slots. Once per day, when we finish a short rest, we can refill our expended spell slots. The combined level of the spell slots must be equal to or less than half of our Wizard level... which means for a while we'll be only recovering 1st-level spells...
Tumblr media
Since we're a Wizard, we start off with Spellcasting. We know cantrips, ritual casting, and regular spells. Intelligence is our spellcasting ability, and we learn two new spells each time we level up. We start this arcane jamboree with three cantrips:
Fire Bolt lets us hurl a mote of fire at one target. Simple. Effective. On a successful hit, the enemy takes 1d10 fire damage (damage increases as we level up).
Ray of Frost is similar, the basic ice spell. On a successful hit, the target takes 1d8 cold damage (scales with level), and its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of our next turn.
Shocking Grasp sends a jolt of electricity through one target we touch. If a target wears armour made of metal, we make the attack roll with advantage. On a successful hit, the target takes 1d8 lightning damage (scales with level) and cannot take reactions until the start of its next turn.
Wizards start with two 1st-level spell slots and six 1st-level spells:
Burning Hands creates a 15-foot cone of fire. All creatures within range have to make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 3d6 fire damage (half damage on a successful save).
Detect Magic lasts for 10 minutes (concentration) and shows us all magical effects within 30 feet of us. We see the magic as colourful aura around objects or people, and we can distinguish which type of magic the effect belongs to (we cannot identify the spell itself).
Frost Fingers creates blasts of cold coming from our fingertips. Each creature within a 15-foot cone must make a Constitution saving throw, or take 2d8 cold damage (half damage on a successful save).
Ice Knife creates a shard of ice that we can throw at one target, dealing 1d10 cold damage on a successful hit. Hit or miss, the shard then explodes, forcing every creature within 5 feet of it to make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 2d6 cold damage.
Mage Armour makes our defence better. Touching a willing creature (or ourselves), we create a layer of magical protection that makes the AC [13 + Dexterity modifier] for 8 hours.
Shield is used as a reaction when we're being hit. The spell adds +5 to our AC until the start of our next turn.
Level 2 - It is here that we pick our subclass, our Arcane Tradition, and since Sypha is such a powerful necromancer, I think it's only natural to–
Tumblr media
Yeah, we're obviously picking School of Evocation, as it's the one focusing on the elements. Everything that burns, freezes, and shocks are here, and we need all of it.
We start this subclass with Evocation Savant, which halves our time and gold needed to copy evocation-type spells into our spellbook. I know Speakers don't believe in the written word, but Sypha always valued books, so she would probably have one in D&D.
Sculpt Spells lets us protect our allies from our own spells if they happen to be in their range. When we cast an evocation spell, we can select a number of creatures we can see equal to [1 + the spell's level], make them automatically succeed on a saving throw (if required), and take no damage at all.
For this level's spells:
Feather Fall protects us and our allies from taking fall damage. We choose up to five creatures within 60 feet of us and slow down their descent rate to 60 feet per round for 1 minute. If the creature lands before the spell end, it takes no damage.
Jump triples the jump distance of a creature we touch for 1 minute.
Level 3 - At this level, we get no new class features, but we do unlock 2nd-level spell slots:
Agnazzar's Scorcher creates a 30 feet long and 5 feet wide line of fire, emanating from us in the direction we choose. Each creature within the line must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 3d8 fire damage (half damage on a successful one).
Gust of Wind makes a strong line of wind (60 feet long, 10 feet wide) blast from us in the direction we choose. Creatures that start their turn in the line must make a Strength saving throw or be pushed 15 feet away from us. As a bonus action, on each of our turns, we can change the direction of the wind.
Level 4 - We get our first Ability Score Improvement. Rule of thumb for any Wizard player: maxing out your Intelligence should be your priority, therefore we're putting +2 to our Intelligence now.
We also get a new cantrip: Dancing Lights create up to four globules of light, floating in the air. We can move them around, and they last up to 1 minute (concentration). The lights can also combine into a Medium-sized glowing humanoid, for purposes of distraction.
We get two more spells:
Scorching Ray creates three bolts of fire, which we can hurl at up to three targets. We make an attack roll for each bolt. On a hit, the target takes 2d6 fire damage.
Snilloc's Snowball Swarm forms a flurry of snowball-like projectiles in a point of our choice within 90 feet from us. Each creature within a 5-foot-radius sphere from the point must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 3d6 cold damage (half damage on a successful save).
Tumblr media
Level 5 - We don't get any new class features here, but we do unlock 3rd-level spells:
Dispel Magic ends any spell of 3rd-level or lower. If a spell is of 4th-level or higher, we must roll a check for our casting ability (DC = 10 + the spell's level). If we use a spell slot of 4th-level or higher, the spell ends automatically, provided the spell slot's level matches or is greater than the spell's.
Fireball is a no-brainer, we had to pick it. Select a point within 150 feet from us. Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 8d6 fire damage (half damage on a successful save).
Level 6 - We get our first subclass upgrade, Potent Cantrip. If a creature makes a saving throw against our cantrips, they instead take half of the damage. Unfortunately, it's not helpful to us yet. Let's take some more spells:
Fly gives a willing creature flying speed of 60 feet for the duration (10 minutes, concentration). When the spell ends, the target starts falling. We can target more than one creature if we use spell slots of 4th-level or higher.
Lightning Bolt fires off a bolt of electricity in a 100 feet long and 5 feet wide line. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 8d6 lightning damage (half as much on a successful save).
Level 7 - Time to unlock 4th-level spell slots:
Control Water lets us manipulate a body of water within 300 feet of us. The spell lasts for 10 minutes (concentration) and we get to select from four different effects (Flood, Part Water, Redirect Flow, and Whirlpool); we can use our action on our turn to change the effect or repeat it.
Wall of Fire creates, well... a wall of fire within 120 feet from us. The wall can be up to 60 feet long, 20 feet high, and 1 foot thick. It lasts for 1 minute (concentration). We can select which way the heat from the fire is facing. When the wall is forming, creatures in its way must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 5d8 fire damage (half damage on a successful save).
Tumblr media
Level 8 - Time for another ASI. As per the rule of thumb, we need to cap our Intelligence ASAP. So, let's put +2 into it right now. As for our spells at this level:
Dimension Door creates a small spatial opening, which teleports us up to 500 feet in a direction of our choice we can visualize or describe. We can carry objects with us, as long as they don't go over our carrying capacity, and we can bring one willing creature with us.
Ice Storm creates a localized hailstorm in a 20-foot-radius, 40-foot-high cylinder at a point within 300 feet of us. Each creature in the cylinder must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 2d8 bludgeoning damage and 4d6 cold damage (half damage on a successful save). Hailstones turn the area into difficult terrain until the end of our next turn.
Level 9 - Nothing new class-wise. We unlock 5th-level spells:
Cone of Cold creates a 60-foot cone of biting cold. Each creature within its range must make a Constitution saving throw, or take 8d8 cold damage (half damage on a successful save). Creatures killed by this spell become frozen statues.
Hold Monster forces a Wisdom saving throw on one non-humanoid creature within 90 feet of us, and inflicts paralysis on a failed save. It lasts for 1 minute (concentration), but the held creature can keep making saving throws at the end of each of its turn to shake off the effect.
Level 10 - Halfway through the build, and we get another subclass upgrade. Empowered Evocation lets us add our Intelligence modifier to one damage roll of every evocation spell we cast. Since most of our repertoire is evocation-type spells, we now have a huge damage boost. For spells that create multiple projectiles (e.g. Scorching Ray), we add our Intelligence modifier only to one projectile.
We also get our final cantrip of this build: Frostbite makes numbing cold appear on one target's skin; they have to make a Constitution saving throw, or suffer 1d6 cold damage and have a disadvantage on the next weapon roll they make before the end of their next turn. Because of our Potent Cantrip feature, this spell always deals damage.
For this level's spells:
Counterspell... yes, I know it's 3rd-level, but we really do need it. Sypha is powerful enough to shut down Dracula's magic. It works similarly to Dispel Magic, but this time it's a reaction to somebody casting a spell, instead of a pre-established magical effect.
Immolation chooses one target within 90 feet of us and deals 8d6 fire damage, provided they fail their Dexterity saving throw (half damage on a successful save). On a failed save, the target is also set on fire for the spell's duration (1 minute, concentration). They shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and must keep making Dexterity saving throws at the end of each of their turns, or take 4d6 fire damage. On a successful save, the spell ends. The fire is magical and cannot be extinguished by non-magical means.
Level 11 - We unlock 6th-level spells here:
Chain Lightning creates an arc of electricity, which hits one target within 150 feet from us. It then splits into three bolts, which hit three closest creatures within 30 feet of the original target. All targets must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 10d8 lightning damage (half damage on a successful save).
Tumblr media
Disintegrate works in a similar manner to Dispel Magic or Counterspell... except it's much more lethal. The spell targets a creature, an object, or a magical effect (such as a barrier made via the Wall of Force spell). A targeted creature must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 10d6+40 force damage. If their Hit Points are reduced to 0, the target is disintegrated to dust and cannot be brought back, unless via the True Resurrection or Wish spells.
Level 12 - Time for another ASI! Since our Intelligence is already maxed out, let's get our two points into Constitution, for those Hit Points we desperately need.
We get two more 6th-level spells:
Otiluke's Freezing Sphere is basically the ice version of Fireball. It creates a small ice ball in a point within 300 feet from us, which then explodes in a 60-feet-radius sphere. Each creature within the area must make a Constitution saving throw, or take 10d6 cold damage (half damage on a successful save). We can also use the ice ball to freeze a body of water up to 6 feet deep and 30 feet square.
Wall of Ice does exactly what it says on the packaging. It creates ten 10x10 ice panels, which we can shape as we wish as long as the panels touch one another. Each panel as the AC of 12 and 30 Hit Points, and even if they're destroyed, they leave freezing air in their place. Creatures moving through the air must make a Constitution saving throw, or take 5d6 cold damage (half damage on a successful save).
Level 13 - Once again, we get no class features, but we do unlock 7th-level spells:
Delayed Blast Fireball is the hand grenade option we need. We can select a point within 150 feet from us and plant a Fireball spell to be activated after 1 minute or if our concentration is broken. The spell creates a fiery explosion within a 20-feet-radius sphere, with the base damage of 12d6 fire. If by the end of our turn, the spell is not detonated, the damage increases by 1d6 each turn.
Prismatic Spray creates eight colourful lights and sends them out in a 60-foot cone. Each creature within range must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, we roll a 1d8 and decide which colour hits the creature. We have a choice between 10d6 elemental damage, blindness, paralysis, or two effects at once.
Level 14 - Here we get our final subclass upgrade, Overchannel. Once per long rest, when we cast a spell of level 1 through 5, we can decide to deal the maximum amount of damage that spell allows. If we choose to use this feature again before finishing a long rest, we suffer 2d12 necrotic damage per every level of the spell. Each time we use it after the second, the necrotic damage increases by 1d12.
Tumblr media
We continue with 7th-level spells:
Teleport instantly teleports us and up to eight willing creatures (or one object) to any location we specify, depending on the degree of familiarity we have with it. The certain success is if there is a permanent Teleportation Circle in the location we want to appear, or if we have something associated with the location.
Whirlwind creates a violent wind storm in a point we can see within 300 feet of us. The whirlwind is a 10-foot-radius, 30-foot-high cylinder. Until the spell ends (1 minute, concentration), we can use our Action to move the whirlwind up to 30 feet in any direction. Creatures that begin their turn in a whirlwind must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 10d6 bludgeoning damage (half damage on a successful save). In addition, a Large or smaller creature must make a Strength saving throw or be restrained inside the vortex.
Level 15 - Time for 8th-level spells:
Antipathy/Sympathy works as a repellent or... whatever the... opposite of a repellent... is. Attractor? It draws or pushes from us creatures of our specification for 10 days.
Control Weather changes weather patterns in 5 mile radius from us for up to 8 hours (concentration). We must be outdoors when performing the spell, and we can select precipitation, temperature, and the state of winds.
Level 16 - For this ASI this time, we'll put two points into Dexterity.
As for this level's spells:
Incendiary Cloud creates a 20-foot-radius sphere of smoke and embers in a point within 150 feet of us. When the cloud appears, creatures inside it must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 10d8 fire damage (half damage on a successful save). The same saving throw must be made by a creature who enters the cloud, or who ends its turn there.
Power Word: Stun work on creatures with 150 Hit Points of fewer and stuns them instantly. All those months of travel with Trevor turned us into quite a sailor-mouth, even night creatures are shocked.
Level 17 - Since Wizards are the Apex of the Arcane, we unlock the most powerful spells in the game right here!
Foresight gives a creature we touch a limited ability to see into the future for 8 hours. For that duration, the target cannot be surprised, and has an advantage on all rolls (attack, skill checks, and saving throws). Additionally, other creatures have a disadvantage against the target on all rolls for the duration.
Imprisonment requires a lot of materials, but it creates a permanent magical confinement that holds a one creature that fails its Wisdom saving throw. The imprisoned creature is being kept in suspended animation, and no Divination-type spell can locate it.
Level 18 - Here we get the Spell Mastery feature. It lets us choose one 1st-level spell and one 2nd-level spell, and cast them at will, without the need to burn a spell slot. Shield and Scorching Ray would be my picks.
Meanwhile, in the 9th-level spell section:
Gate is a portal spell, which creates two linked portals; one in front of us (within 60 feet), other in a location on another plane of existence. It lasts for 1 minute (concentration). We could also name a creature we know is on another plane, and yank it through the portal to our current location (for example, a certain Vampire Lord from Hell).
Meteor Swarm makes it rain fire from above. Choosing a spot within 1 mile, lets us cover a 40-foot-radius sphere in Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire! Each creature within the sphere must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 20d6 fire damage and 20d6 bludgeoning damage (half damage on a successful save).
Level 19 - For our final ASI, we increase our Constitution.
As for the spells:
Prismatic Wall creates an opaque wall 90 feet long, 30 feet high, and 1 inch thick. The wall sheds bright light for 100 feet and a dim light for additional 100. Creatures within 20 feet of the wall must make a Constitution saving throw, or be blinded for 1 minute. The wall is composed of seven layers, each with different properties that affect creatures attempting to pass through it (see: Prismatic Spray for comparison).
Invulnerability makes you immune to all damage for 10 minutes (concentration).
Level 20 - Our capstone is the Signature Spell feature. We choose two 3rd-level spells, and make it so we always have them prepared. We can cast them once per short or long rest without burning a spell slot. Fireball is an obvious choice, and let's add either Dispel Magic or Counterspell. Both provide good support.
For our final spells:
Blade of Disaster creates a planar rift shaped like a blade. When we summon it, we can make two melee attacks on creatures or objects within 5 feet of the blade. On a successful hit, the target takes 4d12 force damage. This spell scores a critical hit when rolling 18, 19, or 20. On a critical hit, the blade deals extra 8d12 force damage. Think of the weird glass-like blades from Doctor Strange
Tumblr media
Wish... Yes, we're getting Wish. Why wouldn't you get Wish? If used safely, it's the ultimate spell. It replicates the effect of any spell of 8th-level or lower, no need for material components or class affiliation. Alternatively, it can do... well, anything you desire, but keep in mind if it's used for something else than replicating a spell effect, there is a 33% you'll never cast it again.
---
And that is it. Sypha Belnades, the Avatar Speaker Magician. Let's see what we've got:
First of all, we've got damage. Damage on top of damage on top of more damage. We're very battlefield-oriented spellcaster. Unfortunately, most of our spells are fire and cold, two very common resistances or immunities. We have a lot of concentration spells, so we need to pick what we want to do. With 131 Hit Points on average, we're also squishy. Luckily, with Shield as our at will spell, we do have a pretty good AC.
---
And that is it! Join me next time, for the last member of the Castlevania OT3!

Headcanons for being Tony Stark’s Daughter (The Aftermath)
Tony Stark x daughter!reader
warnings:
a/n: y/n is about 17 or 18; i cried while writing this. sorry this is really long!!! pls forgive me 🥺
prompt: takes place from a3 to smffh
The Early Years (1) The Teenage Years (2) The Intense Years (3) Continued (5)
Tumblr media
let’s start on a happy note! ahahah
so for a while, earth was calm
you, pepper, and tony got to be a family for a while
wedding planning!
of course you got to try the ben&jerry’s ice cream named after your dad: Stark Raving Hazelnuts
“it’s not fair that you got ice cream named after you and i didn’t”
“well, when you grow up to be as awesome as me, maybe you’ll get your own ice cream flavor”
developing nanotech suits together for a Bonding Experience(tm)
speechless after the first test
“dad, this is...”
“the coolest thing to ever exist?”
“yes!!”
yall ready for some shit?
the day that ebony maw invaded was pretty—what’s the word? interesting? no. well, yes, but...HORRIBLE.
it all started when you got the call from your dad
“y/n, incoming call from ‘big fat meanie’”
“god, i really have to change that. okay, JOSHIE, answer it. hey, dad? what’s up?”
“hey, kid! you know that weird ass building on bleecker street? how fast can you get here?”
“JOSH can you track FRIDAY really quick? lets see how far dad is...uh, okay, be there in five, see ya”
taking your suit for a spin and realizing how GREAT it was to be able to basically fold up your suit and put it in your back pocket
knocking on the door and it opened on its own, it was kinda cool
“is this a museum? cool.”
bruce turning around to see you after about three years and giving you an awkward smile and a wave while you stood frozen around the wizard-guys
“y/n, god, you’ve grown up!”
charging into him for a long overdue hug
“you don’t know how much i missed you. it’s been chaotic without you”
“i can...i can only imagine”
a debriefing on the situation you were about to face, and bonus! having to play the catch-up game with bruce
“just call him, dad. we need as much help as we can. steve will understand”
rushing outside to face off with some ugly-ass aliens
“oh nooo, it’s roger smith from american dad”
bruce: 👀, stephen: 👀, wong: 👀, tony: 👏👏🥰 that’s my girl
simultaneous nanosuit unveiling
“you ready for this one, pops?”
“of course! ive waited years to kick some more alien ass”
montage of you and tony getting your asses beat together (as a family <3)
peter showing up
“give me one good reason why i shouldn’t send you back to that school bus”
“because i’m good company?”
“whatever, just listen to whatever dad has to say, i forfeit my responsibilities over you”
pew pew, repulsors, pew, tiny rockets! fun! action! destroying new york again and again. good times...
until JOSHUA gave you notice that your dad was flying high
“call him. now.”
“hey! how’s it going down there?”
“dad, you know how i feel about you and space”
“i know, i know. i just...i gotta take care of this. keep pepper safe for your old man, okay?”
“i lo—l—ve y—”
“y/n? y/n?! i love you! shit!”
“we lost connection with her, sir”
trying to call peter
“call failed, y/n. should i try again?”
“i’m gonna kill them...”
walking through the rubble to find bruce, the only sensible man you know
taking him to the avengers compound asap to get to rhodey and figure out what comes next
meanwhile, tony was dealing with space and another teenager
and worrying a lot about leaving you on earth
“i mean, mr. stark, y/n’s one of the most capable people i know. she’s probably trying to fix this whole mess as we speak”
“i didn’t get to tell her i love her”
“oh...”
having a lovely meeting with thaddeus ross with rhodey, having a lovely time watching them passive-aggresively argue until your former teammates arrived
having to patiently (and professionally) wait for ross to hang up before running into them for a hug
“holy shit, you guys have no idea how bad i’ve wanted to see you. it sucks not being all together anymore”
“i know, y/n. we’ve all missed you.” -cap
“a lot” -nat added
bruce’s little entrance that was sure to bring some awkwardness
you, secretly freaking out about your dad
sam was the one that found you crying after you “stepped out” for a few minutes too long
“oh, y/n,” he was contemplating grabbing someone else to step in, but decided to sit next to you in the hallway, “i’m sorry, kiddo. i can’t promise you anything, but your dad is a fighter. a big pain in the ass. i think your odds are good”
laughing through your tears
“yeah, you’re right. thanks, sammy”
he gave you a little hug while you calmed down
getting to business, the ass-kicking kind
as the wise natasha romanoff once said to your father, you were being “uncharacteristically non-hyper verbal”
your mind did this funny thing...wandered into places it really should not go
the talk about sacrificing vision led to wakanda, where you had a swell time patrolling
“guys! we’ve got incoming. a lot of incoming”
well-deserved uncle/niece team up. who wouldve thought?
you would have nightmares about these aliens for years to come
“you get to die, and you get to die! everybody gets to die!”
“y/n, what did we talk about?” -rhodey
“using humor as a defense mechanism makes the team uncomfortable...”
covering the girls 😌 because we gotta have those all-girl teamups, uh-huh?
some more blasting
thor made his comeback and you just could not miss it
“hi, thor!”
you landed next to him and your helmet receded
“well, hello, miss y/n! good to see you again! my, you got taller...oh! meet my friends: rabbit and tree”
having a “what the actual fuck” moment upon seeing thanos for the first time
and flying at him from behind with a massive nanotech blade ready to kill this purple bastard
but he grabbed your arm and flung you into the dirt, that was gonna leave a mark
“i just had to make a suit when i was ten...no one stopped me, huh? i couldn’t be elon’s kid, he was a nice guy”
watching thanos snap his fingers and looking around to see dust floating through the air and thanos retreat
“rhodey? uncle rhodey?!”
“i’m right here, kid, don’t worry”
he grabbed your hand while you were dusting
“tell my dad i love him, promise?”
fading away and leaving rhodey with your last words
he was mad before anything else
all he could think about was a promise your dad made him take years back
“rhodey, you keep my daughter safe no matter what, promise?”
the avengers recooperating at the compound, waiting to figure out whether any of the space-crew survived
they had to let pepper know that you didn’t make it, she was a mess upon hearing that news
tony finally making his way back to earth
and stumbling out of that ship
“where’s y/n? where is she?!”
“tony, tony, calm down”
“dont tell me to calm down! where is my daughter?!”
“she made me promise to tell you thay she loves you”
tony knew the answer by now, he lost his mind over your death
it didn’t feel right not having you by his side, for the past 18 years you’ve been with him
after a long period of recovery, tony and pepper moved on, got married, built a home, had a new daughter...
tony made sure there was a spare room for you
he put all the things you left behind in it
there were so many photos of you in the house
and he’d show your sister, morgan, all of them. he wanted morgan to know her sister
“that’s y/n when she built her first robot. it snuck up on me a few times. it went ‘boo!’”
morgan loved the stories about you, but she didn’t understand why she couldn’t see you
“when do i get to meet her?”
“uh...maybe someday, sweetie”
after being unbothered for almost 5 years, the remaining avengers came back with a plan that was so tempting, he just wanted his little girl back
cracking under pressure and telling pepper that he couldn’t ignore this mission because it was his chance to get you back
“get her back, tony”
“you think so?”
“i miss her, too.”
and so it began, he made it his mission to get you back
peeking at the wallet picture of you on his shoulders when you were so little
tony travelling to 2012; loki’s invasion
and there you were, the sassy genius 12 year old that he missed so much
“we’ve got this, tony, we’ll bring her home” -scott
and then things went badly and also 2012 tony went into cardiac arrest and 2012 y/n dove onto the floor to tend to him
“dad? give us some room, would you?!”
2023 tony smiling at how much he missed you worrying about him and how reckless he was
but also...the mission kinda went bad so that sucked
push it a bit farther back and now tony was with grandpa stark! asking how to be a dad and all that!
he could barely stand still waiting for you to come back to him, god he missed you more than he thought
and after a bit of hard work, it was time to snap
just like that, you were back in wakanda, puzzled by the gap in time before one of dr. strange’s portals opened in front of you
and then you were in the ruins of the avengers compound
“JOSHUA, can you locate my dad?”
“i think you’ll be able to see him”
“wow, i cant believe i programmed your cocky artificial ass”
“i think you can”
seeing your dad flying high and patching into the comms
“miss me, old man?”
and then he hit the gas to get to you and when this man hugged you, you almost couldn’t let go
“i’m so sorry, y/n. god, i’m sorry. these last five years...i was so lost without you”
“it’s okay, dad, i’m here now”
getting shot at during your reunion
“son of a bitch...we’re having a family moment here, asshole!”
yes, im gonna say it again. of course i am! and.........father/daugher team-up
the last one
“peter, is that you? you asshole! i cant believe you went to space without me!”
“missed you too!”
rhodey!! cant forget about uncle rhodey!!
“you gave my dad the message, right?”
“it was your dying wish, of course i did!”
“great. don’t forget i love you, too, rhodey!”
“couldn’t let me forget it”
lest we forget that pepper joined the fight?
plot twist: (step)mother/daughter team-up
mother/father/daugher team up!!!! ultimate stark machine!!!!!!!
and then you left him alone for 5 minutes and he’s got the infinity stones and you know it’s the last time you’re going to see him and you cant decide what your next move is and you’re just frozen and you cant catch your breath and he snaps and your heart plummets
you have to rush to his side, the last time you can sit beside his tired body and let him know that its going to be okay
“hey dad, it’s okay, we’re gonna be fine. thank you for everything”
peter grabbing your hand as you both sobbed next to your dad, feeling robbed of your time with him
pepper brought you home where she told you all about the five years you missed
both of you just cried harder than you’ve ever cried before
“so i have a sister?”
morgan was so happy to meet you, she couldn’t contain herself, practically latched onto you
and she didn’t fully understand what happened to tony
you saw your new room for the first time and didn’t leave it for a while, occasionally pepper or morgan would pop in
morgan actually crawled into bed with you a few times
the funeral was one of the worst days of your life
the remnants of your young life pulled back together for one day
then you hid back in your room before you heard a knock
“who is it?”
“it’s happy”
“come in”
“hey, kiddo. me and morgan are gonna get some cheeseburgers, you wanna come?”
she really was a stark
after a long hibernation, you started to get back into the groove of your old life
but the press was brutal and harsh, you were bombarded with questions regarding your dad
it took everything not to explode on camera
you stayed in contact with the rest of the avengers, mourning your dead, keeping the support system, staying a family
it was all you could get...for now

Siblings: Chapter Five
AO3
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4
-------------------------------------------------------
Siblings hadn’t even crossed Cass’s mind until she’d fled the League of Assassins.
She had no reason to think of them, they were never brought up. That’s just how it was. She was always too busy training to ever think about questions or focus on different matters.
It wasn’t until she left, leaning against a dumpster at the ripe old age of ten, did the thought finally pop into her head.
She hadn’t been the only kid in that alley, a notable few others cowering by themselves. Many of the kids she’d met among her travels, homeless and scared like her, had a sort of unspoken rule. Helping those when needed, then parting without a word.
So she had been curious about three kids sticking together. They’d been very similar in appearance, and it didn’t take long for her to deduce that they were related. Three brothers. The eldest a few years older than her, the middle one or two younger, and the youngest couldn’t be more than seven.
They had always been seen together, and she’d spent the time waiting out the night by that dumpster studying them.
They had been kind, pressing together for warmth and protection, keeping the youngest in between them. They were all different, and she found that the few other siblings she’d run across shared traits. If one sibling was brash, the other was sweet. If one was quiet, the other was loud. If one was a fighter, the other was a talker.
She never learned their names, never gave anything more than a nod to them as she passed them by.
Their situation was awful, but they had each other. They had someone to keep them company, to protect and be protected. A family who cared about them.
She envied them.
“Alright, sound off, who’s still conscious?”
A round of groans answered Bruce’s inquiry.
Each and every one of the Bats, save for Cullen and Barbara of course, were strewn out among the alley and roof of one of Gotham’s more worn-down buildings. It was a little comical, seeing the vigilantes of Gotham looking like jelly.
Jason and Harper were slumped on a second-floor balcony, hanging off the railing. Dick, Tim and Duke were strewn about on the pavement inside the alley, the only one who appeared to be in a moderately comfortable position was Duke, who was laying on his back and staring up at the sky. Steph was laying across the roof, her head and arms hanging over limply. Damian was flopped on top of what looked similar to a discarded arbor, cape draped across his face.
Cass, meanwhile, was perching on one of the windowsills, eyes flicking between each sibling. Bruce was on the roof next to Steph, frowning. Though, he always looked like he was frowning when on patrol.
“I take it that means nobody requires immediate medical attention?” Bruce tried weakly.
“I’m never doing that again,” Duke complained. “I can’t believe I let you guys talk me into trying a night patrol. Ivy is so much nicer in the daytime, what the hell.”
“Welcome to the night life,” Jason grumbled, raising his head slightly. “Blame Dick for the family bonding.”
“Shut up,” Dick groaned, muffled due to his face pressed sideways against the ground.
“You deserve this,” Barbara crackled over the comms.
“Everybody is fine, then?” Bruce asked again. “Nobody got infected with anything? Seeds planted in skin?”
“Ivy can plant seeds into skin?” Duke yelped, sitting bolt upright.
“She only did that, like, twice.” Steph assured, waving a hand without even moving her head. “I’m free of the kissing disease, though.”
“Same,” Harper raised a hand.
Choruses of similar affirmatives rose up among the others, save for Tim, who hadn’t moved from his spot. Duke, who was closest to him, noticed.
“Tim?” He asked. “You alright?”
Heads shot up, like the exhaustion from earlier never existed. Cass had sprung off her windowsill and landed next to Tim before Duke was even scrambling over.
She peered over Tim for a moment, poking his side and lifting his head up. He looked peaceful. Not still enough to be someone who was knocked unconscious. No heavy bleeding, either.
“Asleep,” She informed, setting his head back on the ground.
Everyone immediately relaxed, slumping back to their original positions.
“Of course he’s asleep,” Damian muttered from beneath his cape. “He can never let himself rest at reasonable times now, can he?”
“None of you have reasonable sleeping schedules,” Barbara pointed out.
“I’ve got him,” Bruce sighed, sliding down off the roof and landing next to Tim. Cass stepped aside as he scooped up the teen, keeping a firm hold on him like he’d slip between his fingers. “Everyone get up, we’re heading back.”
Pained groans answered him a second time.
“You guys can head back,” Jason said, gripping the railing and forcing himself to stand upright. “I, however, have a wonderful safe house waiting for me.”
“Weakling,” Harper muttered, getting a sharp jab from Jason in response.
Bruce frowned slightly, in such a subtle movement that only those who’d been stuck with his brooding for years would notice it. Cass noticed, or rather, noticed how his stance shifted ever so slightly. She couldn’t quite remember the word for it...longing restraint? Something like that, she’d need to ask Dick later, he was better with words.
Cass slipped away from Bruce, springing onto the windowsills and landing on the thin railing of the balcony with only a minor falter. Jason jumped a bit when she landed, to which she grinned underneath her mask.
“Big brother,” She said, crouched on the railing. “Go home?”
Jason watched her for a moment, and she could tell he was glaring at her from under his helmet. Resisting, she thinks that's the word.
“Don’t do this to me.” Jason near-begged, voice wavering slightly. Fighting Cass on anything, physical or not, was a losing battle. They knew this, and they knew that she knew it, too.
“Big brother,” Cass said in a singsong tone, laying her head on the railing right in front of Jason. She could see Harper not even bothering to hide her malicious smile.
“Cass, please,”
“Names,” Damian muffled.
“Alfred make cookies,” Cass continued, poking at Jason. “I help steal?”
That was untrue, you never stole things from Alfred. Either he let you have them or you never found it. Even still, Jason was never one to turn down the opportunity for petty crimes.
“C’mon, Jay,” Harper added, still grinning. “You really want to disappoint your sister?”
“Names,” Damian reminded again.
“...I hate this family.” Jason groaned, hanging his head over the railing as Cass scooted back, snickering.
“And we got Hood on board!” Steph gave a weak cheer.
Cass turned her head back to the alleyway below, smiling proudly. Bruce’s shoulders slumped and he shook his head. Relief, she thinks. She pretended not to notice him sending her a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it expression of gratitude.
“Grab whoever has trouble walking, we’re taking the roofs.” Bruce informed, slinging Tim over his shoulder as he began scaling the building again. “Orphan, you're on herding duty. Don’t let anyone fall behind.”
Cass saluted cheerfully, leaping off the railing and onto a third-floor balcony, then onto the flat roof. She perched on the edge of the roof, eyes flickering over her siblings as they complained and pulled themselves upright.
It was during times like this, when they still felt the need to double-check with each other as they went back on the move, that she watched the clan, watched the roles they held for each other.
Duke offered a hand to Dick, who fumbled for a moment before taking it and getting hoisted to his feet. He swayed for a moment before reassuring Duke he was fine, striding towards where Damian had collapsed and grabbing him by the cape, dragging it off his annoyed face as he was lifted like a cat. Steph rolled to the side as Bruce clambered onto the roof. She attempted to stand on shaky legs, to which Bruce held out an arm for her to steady herself on. Harper and Jason were already climbing onto the roof, Harper pausing every few moments to glance back at Jason and tug him up faster.
Dick was attempting to carry Damian up the roof, but the kid protested loudly to that and instead scampered up himself. Duke frowned but climbed up after them, occasionally getting pulled up by Dick, who was looking up every few seconds to make sure Damian wouldn’t fall off.
Cass wasn’t quite sure where she fit, in all of that. In the lending of helping hands, of receiving the outstretched hands, or in pretending she didn’t need either.
Granted, nobody really fit, she relented as the siblings gathered into a huddled group on the roof a few meters away. Steph was a melting pot, Barbara and the Row’s didn’t technically live anywhere near the family, and Jason couldn’t decide if he’d gun down Scarecrow for them or abandon everyone in the middle of the night.
Bruce was hard to categorize, too. Cass had seen parents on the streets, holding their young child close with wary, tired eyes. Bruce had that, too. Weary beyond belief with a caution to anything getting too close. But he was far from beaten down yet, and there were never days when his kids couldn’t take care of themselves without him. She figured his odd placement was likely a mix of having so many confusing and different children on top of not understanding how emotions worked.
But Cass wasn’t sure where she’d be. She wasn’t as overprotective as someone like Jason or Barbara, so she placed herself closer to whatever side Steph, Duke, Tim or the Row’s were on. But she didn’t talk all that often, and her plans consisted of walking in and expecting it to work out or continuously pestering until her victim gave in. Duke and the Row’s valued logic, and Steph was chatty as ever, Tim was a strange mesh between them. She was certainly more cheerful than others in her family, but Dick and Duke were better at keeping the morale high than she was. And the only times she’s ever really upset is when the others are upset, so there hasn’t ever really been a situation where they got defensive on her behalf exclusively. That crossed out her being anywhere near Damian’s side.
“Orphan? You still with us?”
Cass jerked, blinking as she shook her head to clear it. The others were clustered a bit further than where they had been before, in the process of leaving before they noticed Cass wasn’t following. And she had been staring the whole time.
Cass gave a quick thumbs up, getting out of her crouched position, muscles protesting for a brief moment due to not moving in the slightest for the last few minutes. She popped up next to her family, reassuring them once more with a small nod that she was alright.
Steph bumped her shoulder as the others began to move across the roofs, tilting her head ever so slightly in her subtlest possible way of asking you okay?
‘Fine,’ Cass signed with her hands, bumping her back. ‘Just thinking.’
Steph nodded, having all the information she needed before turning back to hurry in a jog alongside the rest of the Bats.
“Last one to the Manor doesn’t get any of the cookies me and Cass are stealing!” Jason hollered over his shoulder, off like a shot before he even finished his sentence.
“Names!”
Nobody paid attention to Damian as they all cried their protests. Cass laughed and darted after Jason, keeping stride with him as the others picked up speed. Aside from Bruce, who only shook his head and continued along at his regular run, trying not to jostle Tim. Damian tried to act as civil as his father, scoffing at the others trying to sabotage each other to be the first to arrive back. But he gave up after Tim jolted, barely awake as he blinked his eyes and mumbled something about saving some for him. Damian was off like a shot, yelling something about how Tim would get no such thing. Despite the fact Tim was still far too exhausted to do anything more than weakly complain.
Cass sprung onto one of the lamp posts by the road, crouching as the others raced on by, moving with grace for only a moment before they or someone else body slammed into another to try and gain some distance.
She supposed it didn’t matter much which category she was in. Depending on who was deciding it, she could be on any of their sides. Or maybe none at all. She had her own side, she supposed.
She stifled a laugh as she saw Jason kick over Duke before immediately having Dick pounced on his back in retribution.
They were her siblings, she decided. They were old and young, and they were family, and that was all she really needed to know.

Mission gone wrong | Jake Peralta x reader
Tumblr media
A/N: Obsessed with Brooklyn 99, I’ve definitely been binging it way too much. And, I love Peraltiago so, so much but I agree, Peralta is way too charming and deserves way more love! Also I’m slowly going through my requests, so if you have sent me one, I’m gonna get through it eventually, so stay tuned my loves! And thank you for the request, babes <3
Prompt: The reader works at the 99 and goes undercover for a case as a stripper, but Jake worries when things don’t go exactly as planned (the two are dating in this imagine).
Warnings: mentions of alcohol, drugs, drugging and strippers
“Okay everyone, settle down, settle down.”
The briefing room was ecstatic, everyone muttering and gossiping to one another about the new case that they had just received this morning.
It was rumoured to be one of the largest cases that the precinct had ever seen, involving one of Brooklyn’s largest drug kingpins, and the case being handed to the 99 by the commissioner himself.
“Charles, are you sure that you’re right?”
“Yeah Charles, us storming into a fancy Peruvian banquet to take down this guy seems really unlikely...and weird.”
“Guys! The Captain told everybody to be quiet...so be quiet!”
You and Jake turned around, facing the front of the room to look at Terry and Captain Holt, not bothering to hide the fact that the two of you were gossiping with Charles.
“Thank you, Sergeant Jeffords. As you all know, this morning our precinct received a rather large case from the commissioner so if you have all stopped gossiping and whispering amongst yourselves then, we can get started with the briefing.”
“Jeez Captain is it really that bad?”
“Excuse me, my apologies if my previous statement was rather harsh but there are um, some aspects of this case that are making me rather uncomfortable uh, Sergeant Jeffords would you give our precinct the briefing please.”
You and Jake looked at each other, the fact that Captain Holt was nervous was definitely not a good sign.
“Damn maybe we really are going to a Peruvian banquet.”
“Okay everyone, so today we are going to be taking down this man...” You all sit up straighter as Terry shows the precinct the photo of the convict, “His name is David Robertson, 41 years old, executive on Wall Street and one of the biggest drug king pins in Brooklyn.”
“Okay, so we have to take down the big bad wolf of wall street?”
“Hey was that a reference to that movie with Leonardo Dicaprio that we watched together?”
You can’t help but let out a laugh as Jake interrupted you, “Yeah, dang he looked good in that movie.”
“I know!” the two of you high fived before Terry continued speaking,
“L/N, Peralta, if you could keep your weird flirting and conversations ‘till after the briefing?”
“Or at home?”
“Or just not do it at all...ever.”
You and Jake smiled sheepishly as he turned to shrug at Amy and you chose to give the finger to Rosa (jokingly of course, you don’t have a death wish).
“Anyways, the good news is that the 84 has already found a lead that we can use to take down Robertson for good!”
Everyone in the room cheered and high fived at the good news.
“Wait so all we have to do is surround the location, storm in and Boom! Bad guy’s gone!”
Everyone in the room agreed and chuckled before Rosa cut in,
“What’s the bad news Sarge?”
“...the location is Walt’s Gentlemen’s club.”
The room went silent as everyone digested Terry’s words,
“Wait so it’s a Peruvian banquet that no girls are allowed in?” Everyone groaned at Charles’ confusion causing him to let out an exasperated “What?”
“Charles, it’s a strip club not a Peruvian banquet!”
“Oh! Oh no...”
You face palmed as Charles’ unconscious body hit the ground,
“We’ll just...give Charles a minute.”
3 hours later~
You all settled back into your seats in the briefing room, everyone once again muttering to one another about the big case.
“I mean a gentlemen’s club? This is like a case from my nightmares!”
“It’s okay Amy! Hitchcock and I were there last week, it’s very clean!”
Everyone’s faces scrunched up simultaneously in disgust and horror, “Scully! Why were you and Hitchcock at a strip club last week?”
“What? They’ve got the best chicken wings in the city!”
You hear Charles gasp dramatically, and see him place a hand on his chest in horror, “Scully! You did not just say that!”
“Okay everyone! We’ve just got word from the commissioner and we have decided that due to the importance of this case, we are turning this into a brief undercover mission.”
“Wait...so does that mean that Boyle and I are gonna get to dress up in the suit that I wore to my Nana’s funeral and eat some chicken wings while some ladies are sliding on poles?”
“Or, does that mean that we’re gonna have to watch Amy talk about personal hygiene as she attempts to slide down a pole?”
You try your best to hold back your laughter as Amy blushes and stutters after Gina.
“Actually...we were thinking of having someone else go undercover...”
You and Rosa immediately gave each other the look, knowing that with both of your skills, experience and luck, it was probably going to be one of you.
Before Holt or Terry can continue talking about the case, you and Rosa simultaneously stick your fists out, preparing for an intense game of rock, paper, scissors,
“You know the drill, L/N.”
“Loser has to work this brilliant, but extremely embarrassing and demeaning case that would ruin either of our reputations, you’re on Diaz!”
You feel Jake began to bounce in your seat in anticipation behind you,
“C’mon Y/N you got this! Make me proud, honey!”
“C’mon Rosa! Don’t let them win! I may have lost my bet against Jake but you can still take down Y/N! Don’t let another one of them get away!”
Everyone stares at Amy, with her sudden outburst of intensity, “Jeez Santiago, you good?”
“Y-yeah I’m fine Sarge, just really into this game of rock, paper, scissors, you know? I just uh, really want to see who gets to work the pole?” Amy stutters, clearly flustered but is luckily saved by Holt,
“Actually, Santiago this time it isn’t up to a wager of rock, paper, scissors to deci-”
“Okay everyone! My name is Jake Peralta, I’m your host this evening, and welcome to the annual, L/N, Diaz showdown, this time to decide who gets the pleasure of pretending to be a...drum roll please, Boyle...lady of the night for a bunch of sketchy drug dealers and pervy old men!”
“What’s a lady of the night?”
“Oh not now Boyle!”
“In this corner, she is the reigning rock, paper, scissors champ, who would make the most terrifying pole dancer ever...Rosa Diaz!”
Cheers are heard throughout the room as Rosa cracks her knuckles, preparing for the game.
“And in this corner, she has the best taste in men and after the last fight, had to pretend to be married to Hitchcock, and did I mention is my hot girlfriend...Y/N L/N!”
Cheers are also heard throughout the room as Jake echoes your name dramatically and you nod your head at Rosa in acknowledgement.
“Okay fighters, on shoot,  ready?”
The two of you shake hands as you feel everyone slightly tilt forward to get a good view of your matchup.
“Rock...Paper...Scissors...Shoot!”
On cue, you quickly lay your hand flat in a paper formation as Rosa balls her hand into a fist, signalling rock.
“YES!”
“And our winner by paper...Y/N L/N!”
Everyone claps and cheers as Jake raises your arm into the air and you take a bow, smiling as Rosa groans and puts her head in her hands.
“Actually detectives, the commissioner and I have already decided that the best choice for this undercover mission would be, Detective L/N.”
“Wait, what?”
“B-but I won the rock, paper, scissors!”
“You all realize that this is an extremely important case which your petty game has no impact on right?”
You open your mouth again in protest when Holt cuts you off,
“It is only used for small, un-important cases like homicides.”
You groan as Rosa snickers,
“Ha! Y/N still has to pretend to be a stripper!”
“Terry you can’t possibly agree, I mean you told me that Rosa used to do ballet, right? You’ve got dance experience surely you’d be a better stripper than me!”
Terry’s eyes widen as Rosa growls at him, “I-I have no idea what you’re talking about Y/N um, I’m sure you’d be a great stripper, m-much better than Diaz.”
you sigh, letting your head fall onto the table, feeling Jake feverishly pet your shoulder as Holt dismisses the meeting.
“On the bright side, you’ll look hot?”
“Not the time, Jake.”
Another 3 hours later~
“Ugh, I hate this, I hate this, I hate this, I hate this, I hate this!”
“But you look amazing! That brassiere really brings out your eyes!”
“Charles! Why are you looking at my girlfriend’s brassiere?”
You roll your eyes as your boyfriend and his best friend begin to argue over the pronunciation of brassiere, instead choosing to prepare yourself for the hours of hell ahead of you.
“Damn L/N you look hot.” you smirk at Rosa, giving your friend a salute.
“Yeah um, the mascara was a good touch.”
You chuckled at how uncomfortable Amy was with you standing in the bullpen practically half naked.
Then, Holt walks in with Terry and the commissioner by his side, seemingly re-discussing the case,
“Okay team, you all know the drill, L/N will go in, pretending to be an employee at our target’s location, and flirt with the target, enticing him to go to a private room in the back and Peralta and Boyle will also be undercover as fellow customers as another set of eyes in the room. Diaz, Santiago, Jeffords and I, along with a task force from the 84 will then surround all the exits as L/N finds a way to distract him, then when he tries to run we got ourselves a convict.”
You all cheer, and suit up (or in your case put on a flimsy trench coat), preparing yourselves for the mission.
“Hey, are you okay?” you look over and see Jake watching you with worried eyes,
“Yeah...just nervous.” you chuckled nervously, fiddling with your hands.
“Hey, look at me, you’ll be fine, I won’t let anything bad happen to you, I promise.”
He gently takes your hands in his, making you smile at the sweet gesture,
“I’m more nervous about having to dance half naked in front of a bunch of strangers than being surrounded by a bunch of drug dealers.”
Jake laughs, making you smile as he gives you a quick peck to your forehead.
“Promise me that you’ll close your eyes?”
“Oh no way! This is my one chance to watch you perform!”
You dramatically gasp, lightly smacking his chest as the two of you burst out laughing once again,
“Will you at least make sure that Charles closes his eyes?”
“Oh yeah, for sure, that’s disgusting.”
The two of you stay silent for the rest of the short car ride, choosing to instead, hold hands and pretend to listen to Charles list off all of the restaurants that should rightfully be named the best in the city.
“Alright, we’re here, you know what to do. Good luck L/N.”
You nod at Holt with a slight smile gracing your lips, as you step out of the car as gracefully and seductively as you could, and walking into the club.
As you walk in, you let your eyes momentarily adjust to the dark lighting, subtly dropping your trench coat to the floor, attempting to blend in with the rest of the half naked ladies walking around.
You grab a nearby tray of drinks and begin to circle the club, trying your best to act as if you weren’t about to barf from all of the sleazy looks you were getting.
“Hey gorgeous, over here!”
You turn your head and see David Robertson himself, sitting with a group of large men, calling you to him.
You gulp and tense but instantly relax as you see Jake and Charles walk through the door, both failing miserably to look as if they belonged at the club.
You give a slight nod to them as you strut over to Robertson’s table, putting your best flirty smile on your face (the one you give Jake when you try to talk him out of forcing you to watch Die Hard for the 1000th time).
“Hello Gentlemen, what can I do for you?”
“You must be new around here, we come here every night and we haven’t seen you around before.” you inhale as all of the burly men chuckle as if the comment was funny.
“Well I’m new here so, you probably know this place better than I do.” you giggle
The men chuckle once again, one of them even tossing you a dollar bill,
“I like you, what’s your name sweetheart?”
“Sugar...” you lean forward, trying your best to seduce the man, “Because I’m sweet...and once you taste me you can’t get enough.”
You swear you can hear a gasp and a “Oh that’s good!” from Charles behind you but you pretend like it didn’t phase you at all,
“So...Sugar...you got any moves?”
“Well sir, I’m not like other girls here...I only dance in private, it makes things a lot more...interesting.”
“Ooh, now I like you even more!”
You smile as your target takes out his wallet, placing a black card on the table, clearly taking you up on your offer.
But as you lean back, holding your hand out for the man to take, Robertson instead pushes forward two glasses filled with a dark liquid, clearly signalling that he wants you to take one.
You try hiding your shock from the gesture and quickly try finding an excuse for not drinking the unknown drink...and whatever substances may be in it.
“I’m not so sure about that...I’m on the clock, you know.” You give another flirtatious smile, hoping that it will get you out of the situation.
“Well sweetheart, no drink...no deal.” You gulp as you watch him dramatically slide his card away from you as the last words leave his mouth.
You tilt your head slightly, to take a look at Jake and Charles, one of which has chicken sauce all over his face and the other who is feverishly shaking his head no.
But if I don’t do this, this whole case may go to waste.
You look away from Jake, looking Robertson dead in the eye once again,
“Oh the things we do for a little fun hm?” you attempt to say nonchalantly.
You slowly wrap your hands around the small glass, trying your best to identify whatever’s inside of it, before tilting it upwards and letting the burning liquid slide down your throat.
You watch as your target quickly does the same, before slamming his card on the table and letting you guide him to the back into a small room.
You feel your head become slightly dizzy and your throat burns from whatever was in the glass, the side effects becoming so severe that you barely notice that you’re now in the back room.
Focus L/N, focus.
You try to stand up straight and keep your vision clear as you watch Robertson begin to unbuckle his pants and take out a bunch of small containers of substances from his pockets.
“Wha-what are you doing?”
“Well...sugar I’m just preparing for a bit of fun...I mean this is what I paid for right?”
You gulp, praying that Jake and Charles and everyone else on the team were in their positions by now, you knew that you couldn’t stall any longer.
“Um, sorry Robertson but no, I don’t think this is what you paid for.”
The man freezes and tenses, clearly shocked from your answer,
“H-how do you know my name?”
You try to stand up straight once again, trying to look as strong as possible,
“Because of this...” you hold up your badge.
Robertson’s eyes widen and he scrambles as he tries to make a break for it.
You immediately chase after him, watching as he finds the nearest exit door, pushing it open, and sprinting out.
“Freeze! This is the NYPD, David Robertson, put your hands in the air!”
You watch smugly as he reluctantly puts his hands in the air, surrendering himself to your colleagues. That is until, your knees begin to buckle and your dinner start to come back up.
Jake, who was right behind you, is quick to notice and guides you to a nearby bush, holding your hair back as you begin to vomit.
“Jeez, was it really that bad in there?” you hear Rosa walk up to you, disgust laced in her voice,
“No, she drank some sketchy drink from that Robertson dude.”
“What? Y/N what the hell? That could’ve been poisoned!”
You gag and feel a gentle pat on your back, before sitting back down on the curb, not caring if you were still half naked.
“H-he wouldn’t go with me if I didn’t take it...I didn’t want the whole case to be a bust.”
You gratefully smile as you feel Jake’s jacket wrap around your shoulder,
“That was stupid...but brave, L/N.”
You jokingly swat Amy’s hand away as she tries grabbing onto your wrist, to check your pulse,
“I’m fine Amy, I’m alive.”
Rosa takes your terrible humour as a sign that you’re better, and signals for Amy to give you and Jake some space.
“So...since you just barfed your dinner all up, you wanna get something to eat?”

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 4 ” The Whole World is Watching” Review
Sam Wilson (Falcon) has the opportunity to reason with Karli Morgenthau, but the rash new Captain America John Walker destroys any chance of a peaceful resolution.
Spoilers Below
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode Four, ” The Whole World is Watching,” directed by Kari Skogland, demonstrates why John is the wrong person to take over Steve Roger’s shield. Bucky and Sam buck heads with John. John wants to take down the Flag Smashers with brute force. In comparison, Bucky and Sam want “peace talks” with Karli. ” The Whole World is Watching” ends with the new Captain America revealing his true colors in the Latvian streets.
John is not the perfect U.S. Army soldier that everybody paints him as. After finding the one super-soldier vial that Zemo didn’t smash, the new Captain America has a drink with his best friend, Lemar Hoskins (Battlestar). John asks hypothetically if had the super soldier serum should inject himself with it. Lemar points out that his friend is a company man who proved himself worthy of the shield by risking his life in Afghanistan, earning three Silver Stars. He argues that all the super-soldier serum does is elevate what’s already in you, which is precisely what Dr. Abraham Eriskne told Steve in Captain America: First Avenger. Though, of course, the scientist did not pick Steve because he was the perfect soldier. Eriskne selected him because of his heart and his self-sacrificing nature. However, John’s problem is not that he is the ideal soldier, but rather that his ethic are compromised. John argues with Lemar that their horrible actions in Afghanistan did not deserve a single Silver Star. What did the two new superheroes do that makes John think he doesn’t deserve the serum? Lemar punches back, saying that they could have saved many more lives with super strength. The new Captain America doesn’t listen to his conscience. John injects himself with the super-soldier serum just in time to kill a Flag-Smasher named Nico in front of the world. The blood on the Captain America shield represents cracks in the military’s symbol of hope.
The way that John treats the Wakanda women warriors in “The Whole World is Watching” further demonstrates that he is not the right person to carry the shield. When Ayo and other Dora Milaje warriors burst into Zemo’s apartment to arrest the terrorist, the new Captain America misreads the situation. John sees the United States as superior to Africa and any other country. The new Captain America thinks that he can take on these women warriors because U.S. Army training makes an ideal fighting machine. He condescendingly tells Ayo that she doesn’t have jurisdiction. Sam laughs. He points out that John would do better fighting a super-soldier.  Dora Mila has jurisdiction wherever they go. John puts a hand on Ayo’s shoulder to try to appease her. Wrong move. Ayo and the other Dora Milaje easily beat up John and Lemar. One of the warriors even steals John’s shield, proving that being a man with a gun doesn’t mean your automatically the best fighter in the room. Instead of realizing that he should treat others as equals, John feels sorry for himself because he couldn’t defeat ordinary women.
Karli is a “grey” supervillain, something that is unique in the MCU. While other villains in the MCU have reasons for their immoral missions, there’s never been a character who’s relatable like Karli. She and her community have been displaced from their homes. They live in these shelters to make room for those who were gone despite how much they helped rebuild society. During the five years of the blip, erased borders meant everybody got what they needed, and anybody who wanted to reconstruct these cities was welcomed. Now the world leaders and corporations want everything to return to how it was before. The original borders made them wealthy and powerful, but that wasn’t the case for impoverished people like Karli.
Zemo’s warnings that super soldiers are dangerous is warranted. Both Karli and John are examples of the negative consequences of the serum. Back in the apartment, Zemo asks Sam if he ever considered taking the super-soldier serum. The Falcon quickly answers no. Zemo is impressed. He tells Sam that Karli and the other Flag-Smashers are beyond help now. They have become like “gods among men”. Super-soldiers can’t be allowed to exist because they see themselves to be superior beings. Sam says the terrorist sounds like a god himself and asks about Bucky, who’s a Super Soldier. While Zemo should not be allowed to go around killing people, he has a point that other than present-day Bucky and Steve, almost all other Super Soldiers act like gods. They mercilessly kill people who get in their way. During World War Two, The Red Skull tried to invade the whole world. Even Nazi Germany, which funded his organization Hydra. John kills a man with his shield in the middle street as an act of blind revenge. Nico didn’t even kill Lemar; Karli did. The Captain America shield represents protection, not violence. The blood on the shield mares that symbol of hope that Captain America used to represent. Last episode, Karli and the rest of the Flag-Smashers blew up a building with people inside. She believes that she can choose who lives or dies because her cause is just. The super-soldier serum enhances whatever is inside you, but that doesn’t mean it’s always good. For Steve, the serum made him just more courageous and compassionate. For men like John, it makes them more egoistical and bloodthirsty.
” The Whole World is Watching” reminds us to keep an eye on people with immense power, like police, since the badge doesn’t automatically make them decent.
