MINORS DNI 18+
JAKE PERALTA can't believe his stroke of good luck. Of pure, unadulterated good luck. He had entered the crime scene with you mere moments ago and after a heated exchange of bouncing off of each other with observations— your voices gradually raising at the same level as you near the climax of the conversation— you'd given him the look. Focused eyes watching him through your brows, the curl of your parted lips, panting through them. How you assessed him, scanned his figure like he was edible, sharing a silent moment with him as you calculate exactly what you wanna do to him. Next thing he knew you were excusing you and him saying you'd be going out for coffee, when you'd pulled him into the nearest cleaning closet of the apartment complex that wasn't crawling with cops. Now he's balls deep inside you, clothes having hastily been moved aside to accommodate it.
"Jakey," you whine, dragging out the word. He loves it when you call him that. Gets him all hot and bothered, afraid he'd give you whatever you asked for when you invoke that pretty petname off those pretty lips. "you fuck me so good..."
His teeth bite hard into the skin past his lips, brows creased in concentration so as not to bust to early. It's a quickie, a fucking hot one, but he's still got manners. The sound of your voice has his eyes rolling into the back of his head as he's fucking you from the back, big hands on your hips to keep pulling you back onto his cock while you brace on the wall. A brief moan hums through his nose as he directs you closer to him, talking shit in your ear, "Do I fuck you good? Yeah? Yeah, baby? 'I fuck you good?" breathless, and dizzy with pleasure, he can't believe someone like you is this into him.

gone to shit
pairing : jake peralta x fem!reader
prompt : "can i have one more hug?" "aw, babe you don't have to ask, c'mere..."

Tumblr media
your day had been going too well for it to continue.
you had gotten to your local coffee shop before it got too busy, gotten up to the bullpen without getting catcalled by some jackass outside and you and your boyfriend were the only ones in the office which was nice.
it was quiet and the first 30 minutes your day was spent sat opposite jake just talking until your friends and colleagues filtered in through the elevator.
and then everything came crashing down.
multiple people in the holding cell caused the bullpen to be filled with noise which was unsettling.
the coffee you had gotten this morning spilled over your desk and your lap.
your phone had died half way through a conversation with your sister and you knew she wouldn't appreciate it seeming like you hung up on her.
and you had misfiled some evidence and had to talk to holt to fix it.
you hoped he would be in a good mood so this wouldn't end up with you getting reamed out.
unfortunately that was not the case.
while he didnt yell you could sense the annoyance & slight disappointment in his tone as he told you do leave so he could deal with it.
and you did leave.
but instead of heading back to your desk you went to the evidence lock up, heading towards the back corner and sinking down onto the floor, the cool surface bringing you out of your head very slightly.
but it wasnt enough to stop the hot burning tears from falling from your eyes.
this wasnt something you should be getting so upset about, there were people in the world that had it a lot worse than you and here you were crying over the tiniest things.
just because they had happened in quick succession it felt so overwhelming.
you were way too in your own head to notice your name being called quietly into the room.
it was only when you saw a set of shoes infront of you that your attention was pulled from the spiralling thoughts in your head.
your hands instantly lifted to wipe at your cheeks to try and pass it off like you weren't crying.
" woah woah, hey. what's wrong, babe? "
the sound of jake's voice did not relax you as much as usual.
you shook your head, trying to shake off this awful tightness in your chest but that did nothing to calm jake's worry.
he crouched down beside you momentarily before sitting down next to you, knowing that his gaze on you could overwhelm you even further.
his arm dropped to around your shoulders and your head instantly dropped down onto the soft fabric of his hoodie.
" you wanna tell me why you're hiding in the evidence lock up ?" he asked, his fingertips running over the fabric of your shirt.
" everything was just going so well this morning and then i spilled my coffee, the holding cell is so full of jackasses, my phone died and then i misfiled some evidence... it all just went to shit "
his small motions on your shoulder were calming you slightly but not by much, your shoulders were still shaking and you couldnt bring yourself to take a full breath.
jake didn't reply for a few moments but his fingertips kept tracing shapes over your shoulder.
" ok, well these are all easy fixes. rosa has a charger in her desk she'll let you use, the holding cell is thinning out really quickly and you left a spare pair of jeans at my apartment a couple days ago and i brought them to give back to you, so you can change into those. "
how he managed to solve all of your problems so quickly you'll never know, but you were just so grateful.
you turned your body further into his, smiling softly when he wrapped his arm tighter around you and pressed a short kiss onto the top of your head.
" thank you "
" you're welcome, babe " he said quietly.
both of you remained sat on the floor of the evidence lock up for a couple more minutes before jake moved to stand and lead both of you back to the bullpen.
before he could take you outside you pulled him back by his hand, a soft and playful pout resting on your lips.
"can i have one more hug?" you asked, tilting your head back to look up at him.
a grin spread across his face.
"aw, babe you don't have to ask, c'mere..."
you quickly closed the two feet between the two of you and wrapped your arms around his torso, your head buried against his chest.
another 5 minutes were spent surrounded by weapons in boxes just hugging your boyfriend.
but when you returned to the bullpen, everything seemed a little bit better

Headcanons for working with Jake Peralta and he's secretly in love with you...
Tumblr media
When you first started at the precinct Jake was immediately attracted to you. At first it was harmless flirting but when he started to get to know you, things slowly became more serious.
Boyle would tease Jake about his crush on you, bigging him up to ask you out but Jake never did - he always chickened out.
Being put on a case with you was always the highlight of the week. He would high five Boyle under the table and would flash you a wide grin and a wink.
Even if he's not on a case with you, he'll offer to help you figure stuff out or help you with the paperwork afterwards which you always appreciate.
Jake's always very complimentary of you, never overstepping a line but always making sure you know how good you are.
He offers advice to you whenever you need it, it's not always good advice or very practical but he offers it anyway.
His main goal every day is to make you smile and make you laugh and he makes damn sure he achieves his goal. He loves your laugh, loves the way your eyes crinkle, loves how happy your smile is.
If there's a promotion available, of course he wants it but he goes into Holt's office and recommends you. He doesn't tell you but you're the best person for the job and he can't sit there and lie to Holt saying that he's the one for the job. It's you that deserves it so he tells Holt just as much.
He's the first person to congratulate you on getting the job. He couldn't have been prouder of you.
"I mean, why wouldn't you get the job you're awesome?!"
It's Holt that spills the secret. He's giving a speech in the bar and lets slip that Jake recommended you.
You can't believe it. You pull Jake aside asking if it's true. He admits it is... When you ask why, he smiles, shrugs and says, "Because it's you, (y/n). It's... It's you."
You start to see Jake in a very different light after that.

Imagine dating Jake and him introducing you to the squad after you help him win the Halloween Heist
"I'm still confused about one thing. How were you able to execute your plan?" Amy said as she set down her drink and turned to face Jake. "The plan needed two people for it to work and Charles and Bill teamed up so there was no way either one of them helped out."
The rest of the squad paused their conversation with each other and also looked at Jake. "Yes, how did you do it, Peralta?"
A smug smile on his face as he noticed that he held everyone's attention, he proudly said: "This is due to my girlfriend and heist partner, [Name]." Gesturing to the bar door, they all watched as you walked in and toward them.
"Hi." You gave them a wave. "It's nice to finally meet you all."

jake makes you so many playlists. almost too many! he loves you so much and he just keeps thinking of ideas. you wake up in the middle of the night to two texts from him. “hiiiii” and “open.spotify/blahblahblah”. you love it, but you have frequently brought up the fact that he can just add more songs to one playlist. he doesn’t care though, it’s practically his love language. he has a playlist dedicated to songs that make him think of you, one for taylor swift songs that make him think of you, songs he wants to see you dance to, songs he wants to watch you listen to for the first time, etc. he will come to your house and tell you which one to start playing, then gets all excited. “oh my god, i love this song!”

I hate it when you're right

Pairing: Jake Peralta x Female!Reader
Warnings: Friends to lovers; LOTS of teasing, slow burn?, Smut; Creampie; Dirty talk.
Request:Could you do a Jake Peralta x Reader work partners to hookup? Like they’ve been work partners forever, until one night way too late at the bar they hook up? And realize “oh fuck maybe i do like him like that?”
A/N: Hi, my loves! I´m not dead I swear. Here's the first Peralta smut, hope everyone enjoys. 🍒
English is not my first language - My requests are open!
"How much longer is this going to take?" Peralta's agitated voice echoed through the dark alley as he paced back and forth, his restless energy practically bouncing off the walls.
I understood his frustration; we'd been waiting for what felt like hours, when in reality, it had only been about forty minutes. Compared to the nearby street, this alley was dark and dank; graffiti adorned the walls, and the air smelled faintly of waste. At the end of it stood an abandoned store, rumored to be a hotspot for illegal drug deals. After receiving a tip earlier this nigth, we had been staking out the area in hopes of catching distributors. Slowly, I watched as Peralta's impatience grew, and I couldn't help but wonder if our tip had just been a false lead.
Amidst the distant sounds of traffic and the faint hum of the city, Jake's distressed movements seemed amplified; every passing car and distant footstep only seemed to fuel his uneasiness. Honestly, I couldn't blame him; this place gave off major creepy vibes, but we had a job to do, and that meant keeping our cool and waiting for the right person to arrive.
"Hey, take a breather," I suggested, attempting to soothe his nervous demeanor. "You're coming off a bit suspicious."
He halted in his tracks, scratching the back of his head with a sheepish grin. "Sorry about that. I just can't stand waiting, you know?"
"I understand, but we really need to keep it together," I stressed, aiming to ease his tension. "Can you just stand there and act normal?"
"I'm tryiiiiiiing," his voice tinged with a hint of whining as he continued pacing.
"Well, try harder," I urged, "You look like a total cop right now."
His pacing halted abruptly, and he turned to me with wide eyes, a look of realization dawning on his face. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god," he muttered frantically. "We look like cops, and we´re getting shot in the face."
"Relax, Peralta," I chuckled, trying to inject some levity into the situation.
"Y/n" He sighed deeply, standing in front of me with his hands in his pockets,"I don't want to get shot; my face is my prized possession." His brow furrowed as he confessed dramatically.
I tilted my head, "Come on, Peralta," I quipped, a playful grin tugging at the corners of my lips. "If you get shot, I think your face would be the least of our concerns. I mean, you'd be dead!"
"Man, I should've prepared a character for a cover-up," Jake exclaimed, shaking his head ruefully. "We can't just stand here looking like this... like cops."
"Well, it's a little late for that now,"
He let out an exaggerated sigh, crossing his arms in frustration. "Let me think of something," he declared, his hand moving to his chin and rubbing it thoughtfully as he pondered our predicament.
I couldn't help but chuckle softly as I glanced around at the dimly lit street nearby, feeling the tension slowly dissipate as Jake's panicked expression softened into one of contemplation.
But then, with a sudden clarity, Jake snapped his fingers, "I've got it!" he exclaimed.
His words were accompanied by his familiar, stupid, and playful smirk. It was a look that spelled trouble, and to be honest, although I knew nothing good would come out of his mouth, I couldn't help but feel intrigued.
"Spill it, Peralta," I said, my hands tucked into my jean pockets, adopting a casual stance as I awaited his response. With Jake, you never quite knew what you were going to get, but you could always count on it being entertaining, if nothing else.
"You see, Y/n," he approached slowly, a mischievous grin playing on his lips as his left hand found its place against the wall behind me, anchoring me as he leaned in. "I was thinking..." he trailed off, his tone dripping with exaggerated suspense.
I couldn't help but roll my eyes playfully at his teasing manner. "Oh, here we go again," I retorted gently, halting his advances with a hand on his chest. "Another one of Jake's brilliant ideas, right?"
"Come on, Y/N, don't be like that," he said, his tone a mix of amusement and pleading. "You know you love my brilliant ideas."
"Oh, absolutely," I replied with a touch of sarcasm. "They're right up there with 'let's infiltrate this wedding' and 'let's dress up as clowns for the undercover operation.'"
"Hey, those are classic moments in my detective history," he protested, a grin spreading across his face. "One day they'll make a movie about me."
I couldn't resist lightly patting his chest. "Sure, buddy, for sure."
As Jake leaned in closer, I couldn't deny the surge of warmth that spread through me. Despite my attempts to conceal it, his proximity was starting to affect me.
Jake and I had a playful dynamic, often flirting with each other, and he wasn't shy about expressing his interest; he even told me countless times how I was "missing out" on a chance to be with him.
And don´t get me wrong, while I did find him undeniably attractive, I was hesitant to entertain the idea of taking things beyond friendship. Our coworker-turned-friend relationship was something I cherished, and I didn't want to risk complicating it with romantic entanglements.
So, no, nothing ever happened apart from the casual, harmless flirting. Our banter kept things light and enjoyable, never crossing the line into anything more serious. Despite the occasional temptation, we both understood the importance of maintaining boundaries in our friendship.
"Seriously, hear me out on this one," he continued, "What if we… I don't know… pretend to make out? It's the perfect cover-up!" His suggestion hung in the air, and for a moment, there was silence as we both processed the absurdity of his idea. His head fell to the side, awaiting my response with a playful smirk dancing on his lips.
"You wish, Peralta." I laughed and shook my head. "I mean, I know you'd do anything to steal a kiss from me, but making out in a dark alley? That's a bit too romantic even for you, don't you think?"
"Hey, it was worth a shot, right?" As he moved to step away from the wall, I caught movement at the beginning of the street behind him. Acting quickly, I grabbed him by the tie, the one he always refused to wear, and shot him a warning look. Understanding my silent cue, he lowered his head to mine, trying to appear inconspicuous as he whispered in my ear. "Is it them?"
"Maybe," I quietly answered, my heart pounding as I realized we were being watched. The figures stood at the beginning of the street, whispering to each other; they wore on to us for sure.
"Oh my god, they know, don't they?" he whispered, his voice tinged with worry. "What do we do, Y/L/N? I don't want to get shot in the face," he pleaded, his panic palpable.
Fuck I hate when he's right...
"Screw it," I whispered, my voice filled with determination. Pulling him closer, I crashed my lips into his. He immediately reacted, his arms encircling my waist as he pinned me against the wall. His lips were softer than I imagined, but his hands were rough as they traveled up my sides to rest on the back of my neck, pulling me even closer. Although the kiss was a desperate attempt to obfuscate the approaching perps, it was evident that Jake was definitely enjoying it more than it was intended. I couldn't help but give in to the moment as our kiss intensified as his tongue traced over my lower lip, kindly begging for more.
The footsteps grew louder, signaling the approach of whoever was out there. Without a second thought, his hand found its place on the back of my thigh, pulling me in closer. With my leg lifted around him, our bodies pressed together, and his fingers lightly held me in place.
Abruptly, the footsteps ceased and a voice cut through the moment. "Hey, what are you guys doing here?" one of the men asked, his tone cautious.
Jake broke the kiss. "Do you mind?" He retorted sharply, giving the guy a pointed look, before catching my lips again. I eagerly responded, letting my hands tangle up in his hair as he leaned closer to me.
The two guys just chuckled and exchanged knowing glances before sauntering off to the end of the alley. It worked; the stupid plan actually worked.
I waited until the footsteps were barely audible before breaking the kiss. I raised my head to get a better look, and Jake let his lips travel, leaving warm, open-mouthed kisses down my chin and into my neck. I bit my lip as I suppressed a moan I knew I was holding, glancing to see the two figures waiting by the door. "Jake, they're just standing there." I breathed out.
"Keep your eyes on them," he ordered, as he pressed himself against me.
I fought to keep my focus, torn between the intoxicating sensation of Jake's lips on me and the need to maintain our cover. Despite the overwhelming desire to lose myself in the moment, I stole quick glances towards where the perps stood, ensuring we weren't drawing any unwanted attention.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and a new figure emerged, a brown bag in hand, joining the other two with a casual greeting. My heart pounded in my chest; it was going down, and we were going to get these guys. "Jake... Jake," I whispered urgently, breaking our embrace. His eyes met mine, and he immediately understood. Without hesitation, we sprang into action, charging towards the unsuspecting trio.
"NYPD!" Jake's voice boomed, cutting through the tense silence with commanding authority as he brandished his gun. I followed suit, drawing my own weapon, the weight of it familiar and reassuring in my hand. The perps froze, their faces registering shock as they realized they had been caught red-handed.
—xx—
It had been a few days since that night in the alley. With the intel we extracted from the three guys Jake and I caught, we successfully dismantled one of the biggest drug operations in Brooklyn. And to top it off, we managed to nab the ringleader himself. It was a major win for the team and definitely a cause for celebration. So naturally, we found ourselves at Shaw's, ready to toast to our victory.
"To the Nine-Nine," Captain Holt's voice resounded with strength as he lifted his glass high in the center of our circle. "To the Nine-Nine," we all echoed, raising ours in unison. With cheers and the clinking of half-empty glasses, we celebrated our hard work.
"Now disperse," he announced, his tone carrying a hint of warmth. "I want you all to have fun tonight; you deserve it." and with a wave of his hand, he indicated for us to move from our celebratory circle, encouraging us to enjoy the rest of the evening.
With that, I abruptly turned to face the bar, my attention drawn to the array of bottles lining the shelves. Caught off guard by a sudden collision, I stumbled backward, my balance momentarily disrupted. As I blinked in surprise, I found myself locking eyes with Jake, his hands reaching out to steady me by the waist. A rush of warmth flooded through me at the contact, and for a fleeting moment, time seemed to stand still as our gazes lingered.
"Whoa, sorry about that," I mumbled, feeling the heat rise to my cheeks as embarrassment washed over me.
His expression turned sheepish as he offered a tentative smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners with genuine warmth. After a brief moment of silence, he cleared his throat awkwardly. "Hey, no worries," he said lightly, a hint of amusement lacing his tone. Raising a hand, he scratched the back of his neck in a self-conscious gesture. "Guess I should've watched where I was going, huh?"
Our eyes remained locked, neither of us willing to be the first to look or moove away. "Well, at least we're not in an alley this time," I blurted out, trying to break the awkwardness with a touch of humor. He chuckled softly, the tension between us easing slightly as we both shared a small laugh.
"Dark alley or not, this was a great case," he said, his tone softening as he spoke. "I loved working with you, and I think we did a great job." His sincerity warmed my heart, and his light squeeze on my side felt like a silent reassurance.
Taking a step back, I broke away from his hold, trying to compose myself. My heart raced with the sudden rush of emotions. "Well... um..." I stammered nervously, my mind scrambling for something coherent to say. "I think we should celebrate. I'll be with Rosa at the bar," I continued, my voice wavering slightly as I awkwardly backed away from where we stood. "I'll see you around, Peralta."
As I approached the bar, Rosa's amused expression was already evident. Her playful tone cut through the air as I settled onto the bar stool beside her.
"What the hell was that?" she quipped.
I offered a weak shrug, attempting to play it cool. "What was what?" my voice slightly shaking as I avoided her knowing gaze.
"Oh, come on," she teased, gesturing toward the table behind her where Peralta and Charles were now seated. "That little dance back there, the eyefucking," she continued.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, no eyes were fucking back there!" I held my finger up in protest, trying to suppress a nervous laugh.
She sighed and took a sip of her drink, her gaze thoughtful. "Man, what the hell happened on the stakeout? You guys have been so weird…the glances, the lingering touches..."
"Hey, we have been doing none of that," I lied, attempting to deflect Rosa's probing with a forced casualness. Deep down, I knew she wasn't the only one who noticed. Despite being preoccupied with the bust operation for the past few days, I couldn't ignore the subtle shifts in Jake's behavior around me. He looked at me more often than usual, sat closer, and his touches lingered longer. I understood it all too well. I wasn't oblivious. We shared a kiss, and it wasn't just any kiss. There was something there—something I couldn't shake off.
"Bullshit," she retorted, "I mean, I understand tuning Boyle out when he talks, but Jake is literally not listening to a single word."
I glanced from my drink to the booth where Jake sat, slumped against the leather cushions with his legs spread out. He appeared relaxed, toying with his whisley glass that sat on his thigh. His gaze was already on me, peeking through his lowered eyebrows.
Our eyes met, and in that moment, I found myself unable to look away from him, captivated by the intensity of his gaze. What the hell was this man doing to me? It was as if every fiber of my being was drawn to him, despite my best efforts to resist.
"See, you're doing it again!" Rosa exclaimed loudly, her voice cutting through the chatter of the bar.
I immediately shook my head, laughing nervously. "Oh my god! Doing what, Diaz?" I turned toward the bar, signaling for another round of drinks, hoping to distract both of us from the uncomfortable topic.
She raised an eyebrow, her smirk widening as she leaned in closer. "The. Eye. Fucking," she punctuated each word.
"Rosa! No!" I exclaimed, my cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "No eyefucking going on," I added quickly, hoping to put an end to the teasing before it went any further.
"I know you kissed him," she said casually, her tone soft but firm, leaving no room for denial.
"What? No, that's not true!" My voice probably went up an octave, betraying my attempt at denial.
Rosa didn't waver, analyzing my reaction with a knowing look that seemed to cut straight through me.
"Fuck," I shook my head, looking to the side in resignation. "Okay, fine, I did, but it was only for the mission," I admitted reluctantly.
She chuckled, shaking her head. "Sure, sure, just for the mission."
"Oh, shut up," I lightly smacked her arm, playfully annoyed. "Who told you anyway?"
"Let's just say I have my sources,", a sly smile playing at the corners of her lips.
"Diaz!" I threatened, pointing my finger at her. "Spill it now or else!" My tone was half-joking, but there was a hint of determination in my eyes.
"Okay, okay," she conceded, raising her hands in defense. "It was Boyle."
"Boyle knows?" My eyes widened with shock. If Boyle knew, then everyone knew.
"Yeah, apparently Jake was glowing," she confirmed, "All smiles, couldn't stop grinning like a kid in a candy store." She took another sip of her drink, a knowing smirk playing on her lips. "So Boyle insisted, and eventually, he spilled the beans."
"Man, that's so embarrassing," I groaned, feeling the heat rising in my cheeks as I buried my face in my hands.
"Why?" Rosa regarded me with a serious expression.
"Well, because, you know... it's Jake," I mumbled, struggling to find the right words. "I don't want to... to..."
She held knowing look in her eyes, like she could read my thoughts, "To what?"
"Well, you know... be with him... I don't want that," Despite my attempt at denial, I couldn't shake the nagging feeling that I wasn't convincing anyone, not even myself, that I didn't want Jake.
"Man, it's obvious you guys want to be with each other; just go for it," she said with a shrug, her tone matter-of-fact. "I mean, he's still eyefucking you across the room," she added, gesturing once again in Jake's direction, her point crystal clear.
"He is, isn't he?" I lightly smacked my forehead, as if to hide my face, letting out a chuckle. I felt a sense of relief wash over me; deep down, I knew she had a point.
Glancing over to Jake, it seemed like he hadn't moved an inch since I last looked at him.
"He's not the most subtle," she said, a knowing smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
I pondered for a moment as I swirled my drink. Well, if Jake was willing to put himself out there to show his interest so openly, then maybe I should do the same. Maybe it was time to stop dancing around each other and just go for it.
"I have to fuck him, don't I?" I quipped with a smile, my voice low and filled with a hint of mischief.
Rosa burst into laughter at my bold declaration, her eyes twinkling with mirth. "Well, you don't have to, you know?" she replied between giggles, shaking her head at my blunt honesty.
I finished my drink and set the glass down with a determined nod. "I think I do," I admitted, my voice firm and resolute.
Rosa grinned approvingly. "That's my girl," she said with a proud nod.
"See you tomorrow, Diaz!" I said, giving her shoulder a friendly pat as I left the stool and made my way towards his table.
As I approached, Jake supported a knowing smile, his gaze unwavering from mine, completely focused on me, completely tuning out the random story Boyle was spewing about.
"Hey guys," I announced as I reached the table, "I'm not feeling really well," I admitted, but my tone lacked any hint of tiredness or distress making Jake's eyebrows perk up at my unconvincing excuse. "So I'll just head home, I think I can still catch the last train." It was a statement crafted with a specific purpose in mind—a subtle cue for Jake to follow me. So, I waited for the response I knew was coming, and Jake didn't disappoint.
Quickly drowning his drink, he stood up from his seat. 'No, no, train, come on!' His fingers motioned in an approaching gesture. 'I'll take you home.'"
"Oh…But!" Boyle exclaimed, "But you said you'd take me home…"
We stood in silence for a moment and watched as Boyle's expression shifted from confusion to realization in an instant. Standing up from his seat, he enveloped Jake in a bear hug, practically lifting him off the ground in his excitement. "You know what? It´s a great night! I guess I'll take a stroll along the river," he exclaimed cheerfully, patting Jake on the back before waving us goodbye.
The car ride had been silent so far, the only sounds filling the air were the gentle hum of the engine and the soft background music playing from the radio. Despite the lack of conversation, I couldn't shake the feeling of Jake's eyes on me, his scrutiny palpable, and I was keenly aware of the warmth creeping up my neck. Glancing over, I found Jake stealing glances in my direction, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Eyes on the road, Detective," I said, my finger lightly pushing his chin in the direction of the road, a playful smile tugging at the corners of my lips.
His grin widened, but he quickly turned his attention back to the task at hand, his fingers tapping lightly on the weel. "So, you weren't feeling well, huh?" Jake quipped, "Must be that sudden wave of 'I-can't-resist-Jake syndrome,' huh?"
Raising an eyebrow, I turned in my seat to face him slightly. "Oh, you think you're so funny, don't you?"
"It's a burden, really," he added with an exaggerated sigh. "Having to be this funny all the time,"
"Sometimes I wonder if you're compensating for something with all that humor."
"Oh, please, like you're not secretly enjoying every moment of it." He let his head fall back sligthy as he let out a troathy chuckle. "I couldn't help but notice how your eyes kept wandering over to me tonight. Got a little crush, Y/n?"
"Please, Peralta, don't flatter yourself. I was just admiring the artwork on the walls" I remarked with a sly smile as I leaned closer, my arm resting behind his seat and my breath brushing against his cheek. "You, on the other hand, were really pushing it out there. I mean, could you have been more obvious?"
"Oh, come on," he glanced over at me. "You can't fool me with that excuse. I know you were totally checking me out."
"Maybe…" I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper, a playful glint in my eyes.
"Of course you were," he replied, his hand moving from the steering wheel to rest lightly on my thigh. "And can you blame yourself? Of course not. I mean, look at me."
"Please, Peralta, you're not that irresistible." I scoffed while looking down at his hand, trying to maintain my composure despite the growing warmth between my legs.
"Oh, I beg to differ," he murmured as his fingers now traced gentle circles on my thigh, "Admit it, Y/N. You've been dying for me to touch you like this."
My breath caught in my throat, and I simply let out a chuckle as I slumped back against my seat. "You're trouble, you know that?" I shook my head, a mixture of amusement and exasperation in my tone, as I let my gaze drift out the window. The familiar facade of my building stood tall against the city skyline as the car gently came to a stop.
"Yeah, guilty as charged," he murmured as we stepped out onto the sidewalk.
With a coy smile, I glanced back over my shoulder. "You know that if you're guilty of something, you shouldn't be confessing your crimes to a cop."
"Well, lucky for me, Detective, you've been off the clock for..." He glanced at his watch as he trailed closely behind me, "...3 hours and 38 minutes now.
"I might be off the clock, but I can still cuff you, Peralta," I said, tapping the handcuffs at my waist.
As I turned the key and my fingers fumbled with the locks I heard him inching closer. I could feel the warmth of his body as he pressed against my back, with gentle precision, he lowered his head, and I felt his breath grazing the nape of my neck.
"Me, in cuffs, at your mercy?" His lips brushed against my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. "Oh, but wouldn't that be the highlight of your night?" His voice was low and filled with playful suggestion.
With a soft laugh, I finally managed to open the door, turning to face him, my heart pounding with anticipation. "Are you projecting, Peralta?" I countered as I met his gaze, slowly backing away, inviting him in as he approached me at the entryway.
He quickly stepped in, closing the door behind him with a soft click. The room felt suddenly smaller, warmer, with just the two of us. As he reached me, he circled his arms around my waist, pulling me closer "Mehh, maybe just a little,". His fingers deftly undid the zipper of my leather jacket, and his eyes didn't tear away from my chest.
"Like what you see, Peralta?" I quipped, letting my hands meet his own on his chest.
"Yeah," he chuckled as he leaned in to press a kiss on my collarbone. "You changed your curtains, didn't you?" He added playfully, his breath warm against my skin.
"Oh yeah?" I slowly started undoing the buttons on his shirt. "I can't believe you´d noticed that."
As we reached the sofa, his hands guided my jacket off, the leather slipping down my arms with a subtle force. Our eyes remained locked as the leather pooled at my feet.
I gestured with a tilt of my head for him to take a seat, and with grin he complied, his fingers skillfully undoing the remaining buttons of his shirt. I couldn't help but admire the way his muscles flexed under the fabric as he discarded it to the side. Then he eased onto the sofa, spreading his legs and letting his arms rest casually on the back of it, lightly tilting his head back.
As I removed my pants, he drew in a deep breath, his gaze unwaveringly fixed on me. Straddling him, I rested my hands on his shoulders, sensing his firm grip on the back of my thighs for stability. With my knees on either side of him, I gradually eased myself onto his lap, the heat of his chest pressing against mine, still covered by the random top I threw on this morning.
"No perps today?" he joked, his hands settling on my ass while his nose lightly brushed against my chest, inhaling my scent. "I kind of enjoyed the audience."
I shook my head as I leaned down to grab his chin, urging him to meet my gaze. "Just you and me, Jake," I murmured against his lips. "What do you think?"
"Well, Y/n," he whispered, "I think you should really kiss me."
"Yeah, I should," I nodded, but just as our lips were about to meet, I pulled back slightly. "Or maybe I'll just leave you hanging," I teased as I leaned back, keeping him at arm's length.
Jake's eyes widened in surprise. "You're playing dirty now, huh?" His hands cupped my flesh forcefully as he pulled me forward, spreading my cheeks slightly and pressing me against him. The sudden movement elicited a gasp from my lips, feeling the subtle grind of his crotch against mine. A soft moan escaped me as I surrendered to the satisfying friction rocking my hips against his bulge.
"Maybe," I teased once again, leaning in close before pulling back again. I intensified the grind of my hips as his hands moved to my shoulders, sliding the straps of my top down, the fabric gathering around my stomach, exposing more of my skin to his hungry gaze.
"You're killing me here," he protested as his fingers traced the delicate lacy edges of my bra.
"Oh, but where's the fun in making it easy for you?"
As his head fell back against the sofa, a deep exhale escaped him, a mix of frustration and pleasure. Seizing the opportunity, I pressed my lips against his neck, relishing the shudder that ran through him, accompanied by a low sigh of pleasure. My hand lightly closed against his throat, keeping him in place as I continued to kiss upward, tracing the line of his jaw with eager lips.
"You're driving me insane," he growled, his voice thick with need. Grabbing me by the nape of my neck, he pulled me into a kiss.
As our bodies pressed together, he skillfully unclasped my bra, freeing my breasts to his eager touch. His mouth descended upon my right nipple, and as he sucked and nibbled, I couldn't help but grind against him with more force.
I tugged on the hairs at the back of his head, urging him closer, craving more of his touch. His fingers trailed down my abdomen, teasing the hem of my panties before boldly slipping beneath them.
I gasped as his cold fingers met my warm skin. "Fuck, Jake," I breathed out, my voice trembling with desire.
"Oh, my name sounds so good when you say it like that," he confessed, his fingers moving slowly against my clit. My head rested on his shoulder, and his fingers continued to explore my soaked folds, "Yeah, just like that, doing so well," he praised as he lightly brushed my entrance, slowly dipping his middle finger inside of me.
With a desperate urgency, I moved my hands to his sides, tugging at the belt loops of his jeans. "Off, off," I managed to say.
He nudged his hips forward, lowering his jeans and boxers just enough for his cock to spring out. I immediately took him in my hand, stroking him lightly as a pornographic moan escaped his lips.
His hand then moved my panties to the side, allowing me to guide him against my clit before lining him with my entrance. Slowly, I lowered myself on to him, feeling every inch of him stretching me as he filled me completely.
His right hand met the back of my neck once again, pulling me into a kiss, as his left cupped my ass with force, aiding me with the up and down movement of my hips.
God, you feel incredible," he groaned against my lips, his voice husky with desire.
With a breathless laugh, I whispered back, "You're not so bad yourself."
A playful chuckle escaped him "Always got something to say, don't you?" He teased, his hips rising to meet mine with eager intensity.
My head fell back, overcome with pleasure, as the familiar coil of ecstasy began to build in the depths of my stomach. "Fuck, don´t stop.". His movements remained steady, his hand reaching out to play with my clit, intensifying the pleasure coursing through my body. "God, Jake... it's... it's too much," I gasped, desperation evident in my voice as my hands clung to his shoulders and arms for support.
"Oh, I can't fucking last with you sounding like that," he admitted, letting his forehead rest against mine.
"Then don't," I whispered, my voice barely audible amidst the sounds of our heavy breathing and the pounding of flesh. His pace quickened, pushing me closer as I arched my back. "I´m cumming.. Oh.. Fuck"
A moan escaped his lips as he watched me with intensity, his eyes tracing every contortion of my face as pleasure surged through me. I felt the wave of bliss crash over me, my body trembling with the force of my release.
In that moment, I could tell he couldn't hold back any longer. "Do it," I urged, locking my gaze with his and giving him a reassuring look.
"You sure?" His eyes searched mine, seeking reassurance.
I nI nodded eagerly, feeling my body tremble as I sensed him pulsating inside of me. The sensation of him nearing his climax, his moans reverberating through the room, was intoxicating and overwhelming in the most delicious way imaginable. As he released into me, I let out a satisfied sigh, capturing his lips once again.
We remained intertwined, his arms wrapped around me protectively, as his cock still throbbed gently inside me. His fingers traced soothing patterns on the small of my back, and I nestled closer to him as his lips found their way to my forehead, planting a tender kiss.
"You know? I hate when you´re right," I whispered, my voice soft against his skin.
"About what in particular?" He chuckled.
I smiled against his neck, feeling a warmth spread through me. "About... this," I confessed, lifting my head slightly to meet his gaze. "That I'd been missing out."
"Well, lucky for you, Y/n, we still have plenty of time to catch up,"

HAHA NONNIE, WHOEVER IS THIS I LOVE YOU, and thank you for requesting nonnie <3
Tumblr media
jake has been at it for an hour, constantly edging you over and over again, his fingers never stopping
occasionally his mouth latches onto your nipples or neck or basically anywhere on your body
"good girl, you've been so patient haven't you?" he asks with a slight grin knowing you can't even answer after being edged so much, all you could was desperately nod your head rapidly
desperate for him to make you cum, that's all you wanted right now
you whine for jake to make you cum, jake tuts and looks at you with a huge grin "aw well baby okay, you've been so patient haven't ya?"
his fingers start to pump in and out of you, all you could do was moan
you felt a tight knot in your stomach, you were about to cum and he could feel it
"god you're so tight sweetheart, already clenching my fingers so tight"
he started to pump his fingers in and out of you even faster and started sucking on your clit, it felt so good, your eyes rolled back into your head out of pleasure, you couldn't even speak or say anything
you moaned loudly has you came on his fingers, he gently took his fingers out of you and kissed your forehead, and praised you for hours on end after that

You took a deep breath as you closed your book, putting it away as you got tired. It was almost time to leave, so you just scrolled on your phone for a bit.
“Y/N!” None other than Gina Linetti yelled to grab your attention. She succeeded. You looked up as she motioned for you to come over. You got on your feet, and walked over with a small smile, “The crew’s going for drinks later, you know, the usual, but I’ve heard you don’t want to come?”
“Uh—yeah,” You nodded as your brows furrowed, “Why?” Gina took a deep breath as she looked at you with a certain look that you read as ‘seriously?’.
“You’ve been missing out on going anywhere with us; is something up?” Gina intertwined her hands as she looked up at you, eyeing you, “Nope, I’m perfectly fine.” The lie immediately left your lips as you shrugged, “Just a bit tired. I’ve never been one for hangouts, anyway.”
“Mhm.” She nodded unconvinced, motioning as to tell you ‘okay, go’. You put on the smile you had and returned to your desk, sitting down in your seat. You then heard a loud laugh, making you turn your head in the sounds direction. It was Amy and Jake talking, Amy seemingly laughing at something Jake had said.
You involuntarily formed a sad smile, then looked away before anyone could see you look at them. If someone knew, you thought repeatedly. God, how you had the biggest crush on Jake. It started as a giddy middle school crush, before it turned into something more. It was long before Amy ans Jake got together, so it was so hard to try to make your feelings disappear. Not to mention you and Jake are very close friends.
Jake and Amy were the perfect couple. You would never do anything to damage their relationship, no matter what. Yes, you and Jake were close, but you and Amy were also friends. Sabotaging their relationship would be the last thing you would ever do. You wouldn’t blame Jake for getting with Amy, anyway. She was so incredibly smart, let alone gorgeous. You’re not jealous of Amy, but you just aspire to be like her.
“N/N!” Jake clapped in front of you, making you jump in your seat, “What the hell?” You furrowed your brows as you looked up at him. He crossed his arms as he looked concerned and serious at the same time, “Why’re you not going anywhere with us?” He asked as he narrower his eyes at you.
“I’m just not in the mood,” You sighed to stand up, before he pushed you back onto the chair. You tilted your head in confusion, “I’m being honest, Peralta.” You shook your head with a shrug.
“I somehow find that hard to believe.” He let out a breath as he grabbed a chair. He sat in front of you. You knew how this was gonna go. He wouldn’t leave you alone, bug you with questions before you finally admit what was up. Not this time, though. You literally could not bear to let your heart break even more, especially seeing them somewhere other than work. Besides, you wouldn’t have had a chance either way.
Your insecurities would get the best of you, and not let it down until you distanced yourself from him and eventually breakup. Well, that’s not how your relationships went. It’s what you were told during those relationships that affected you and made you the way you are.
“Y’know how lucky you are to be with me?”
“You were always something to pass time with.”
“Look at you. Why would I be with you out of all people?”
The memories flashed, causing you to swallow a lump in your throat. His hand went on yours, “Just tell me.” He was genuinely concerned. Jake always cared about his friends, something you loved about him. Loved, shit, you freaked out and stammered, “I gotta go.” You grabbed your bag and strutted to the elevator in a hurry. You felt everyone’s eyes on you, and you just closed your eyes as you walked into the elevator, before Jake threw one of Scullys’ bag of chips to keep the elevator opened.
“Okay, seriously, what is up with you?” He stopped the elevator, then turned to you. He cornered you, making your breath hitch, “What’s up with you?” You chuckled in disbelief as your hands pushed him away softly. He tilted his head in confusion now, “Just—leave me alone.” You turned to the button, until Jake grabbed your wrists.
“You should know me better than that,” He said as he blocked your view of the controls, “Please tell me.” He pleaded. You shook your head and backed up, suddenly feeling suffocated. Your mental health has gone to shit a while ago, your insecurities piling up with every passing minute, and the urge to breakdown was too much; not to mention overthinking. Sure, you may have overreacted before, but you had time to think about that later. Right now, all you wanted to do is get away from Jake Peralta.
You stayed quiet, head down, while you fidgeted with your fingers. He dropped his head back as a soft sigh left his lips. He knew you were stubborn, but usually he would’ve gotten through to you by now, “Is it really that scary you don’t wanna tell me?”
You looked up at him, giving him an answer without saying a word. He nodded, then moved to let you press the button, yet you paused, “If I could tell you, I would, but I’m not that kind of person.” Then pressed the button.
Tumblr media
The next day was the same, yet you stayed quiet. You were more introverted than usual as you tugged the the hem of your sweater’s sleeves, in deep thought. You wondered if yesterday could’ve gone differently, but it couldn’t have. You felt Jake’s eyes on you, but you didn’t dare to even glance in his direction. You were finishing up paperwork, then got up to go to Captain Holt’s office.
“Y/N,” Gina grabbed you, making you almost lose your balance, “Hm?” You hummed. Rosa was stood beside you, making you jump a bit. Then, Rose hit your shoulder without warning, “What gives?” You hit her back, making her give you a glare you know wasn’t real.
“Did you tell Jake?” Gina sang. You knitted your brows together, obviously confused. Rosa sighed, “Did you tell Jake you wanted him in way too many ways?” She said casually. Your eyes widened and looked around to make sure no one heard, and thankfully, no one did.
“Say it louder, why don’t you?” You sarcastically stated as you crossed your arms, “Also, obviously not.” You continued.
“Well, why not?” Gina said as if it wasn’t obvious enough. “He is dating someone. I can’t ruin that, why would I? I don’t have a chance, anyway.” You shrugged, “Let it go. I’m not really bothered with this, and you both shouldn’t be either.”
“Yeah,” Gina hummed, “no.” She then continued, getting a nod from Rosa. “They’ve been talking about taking a ‘break for a bit, because they’ve been busy with work.” Rosa turned to you.
“That’s their business, and I will not interfere, so neither should you two!” You pointed at them with your index finger. You then walked back to your desk, ditching the idea to go to Captain Holt. Thankfully, it was time to leave, so you took your things and made you way to the elevator. And this time, Jake didn’t throw a bag of chips.

You were in your apartment, on the couch while you waited your pizza to arrive to start the movie. Then, the doorbell rang. Expecting it to be your order, you grabbed your cash and walked to the door, opening it to find Jake.
While you were about to slam the door shut, he put his hand on the door and pushed it open. You walked back to your couch, not saying a word as he shut the door, “Talk to me.” He sighed as you stayed quiet. You were in a pair of sweatpants and an oversized hoodie, with your hair in a ponytail. “What do you want me to say?” You faintly said, trying so incredibly hard to not look at him.
“Whatever it is that’s bothering you.” He honestly spoke, “I can’t do that.” You finally turned to him, the gap between you two not being much—catching you off guard. As you were about to turn and look down as you’ve done before, his thumb and index finger held your chin, forcing you to look up at him, “I can’t,” You tilted your head ever so slightly, the words coming out as a whisper.
Before he let out a word, the bell rang. You swallowed a lump that formed in your throat, then stood up and walked to the door. You grabbed the cash beforehand, then opened the door to find a sweet woman with a pizza box, “Thank you,” You mumbled with a smile, then softly shut the door and walked back to the couch.
“Y/N—“
“No, you seriously don’t understand; I actually can’t tell you. It’s best if I don’t, Jake.” You cut him off before he can say anything. He doesn’t understand how much you being in his mere presence hurts you so much. You wouldn’t dream of ruining what makes Jake happy, not to mention Amy. Amy was such a kind and special person, you were honestly relieved Jake was dating her.
You then felt him intertwine your hands, making you look up at him with a confused expression, “I understand.” He nodded as he locked eyes with you. You mirrored his soft nod, as you cupped his cheek before being able to stop yourself. Your eyes widened just a bit before going back to your previous expression; trying to not make your thoughts obvious.
“I really can’t,” You whispered as tears welled up in your eyes, although they weren’t very obvious. He nodded and got up, “I’ll see you tomorrow.” His lips formed into a thin line, making you suck in a breath.
As soon as he was out the door, tears freely rolled down your cheeks. Your knees were pulled to your chest, then grabbed the remote to put on your comfort movie. Everything has gone to crap—everything except your job, that is.
Mental health? Long gone.
Love life? Never existed.
Friendships? Either distance or are just fake.
Insecurities? Piling up by the passing second.
Life is truly not worth it.

Jake Peralta x f!reader - fluff with a hint of angst
Tumblr media
★ Summary: Jake Peralta becomes a girl dad, and he has to learn something new every step of the way.
★ Word count: 3.8k (I always think I write WAY more than I do)
★ Proofread: no :)
★ Warnings: cutie patooties being cuie patooties? and english is not my first language and the timeline is weird at some point
★ Note: Anon this is so good I'm LIVING for jake peralta as a girl's dad! And I know you said Amy but I didn't realized that until like halfway writing this but I hope is not too bad anyways. Also some parts are based on my boyfriend's little brother and my baby cousin so shot out to them.
★ In The Beggining ★
When Jake became a dad he couldn't believe his eyes. The beautiful baby he held in his hands was HIS, she had a part of him in her. Like, DNA or somethign. And she was adorable. She definitely took a lot from her mother, who was now resting after 49 hours of delivery. Y/n has said the moment she held her that she was definitely going to take after him, fighting like she had been for staying near Y/n for a bit more. Jake knew she was joking but who was he kidding, his wife was so right. But now the baby was here. The baby. The small, little, minuscule person he had been waiting for for the last 8 months, since they foud out Y/n was pregnant after she refused to eat popcorn because they had been upsetting her stomach lately. It was Jake who had figures out what happened, realizing his wife would never turn down popcorn and that she hadn't had her period that month. And them BOOM! She's pregnant, 8 months go by in a flash and now he is holding her. Wow. He snuggled a little bit closer to her although he knew it was becoming impossible to be nearer, but it felt like heaven. A piece of heaven at least. She definitely was an angel. His girl. His girls, because Y/n was starting to be awake and spoke with a rough voice of screaming so much the past 2 days.
'Hello love' Jake said with a blinding smile on his face. 'Hi, handsome' she said smiling, tired but happy. Jake got close to the bed and sat on it, handing the little bundle of love to Y/n. She looked at the baby with the same affection and adoration as Jake, but then she seemed to remember something and looked at him, looking a little bit stressed. 'Jake' she called him, gaining his attention and making him stop looking at the baby. 'Yep?' he asked tentatively, worried about the look on his wife's face. 'We haven't chosen a name for her yet!' she exclaimed whispering at the same time, and Jake seemed to realized that too. 'Oh, shoot!' he said while she just nodded along 'We really have to!' he continued. 'You don't say!' Y/n retorted. They both looked down at the small person in Y/n's arms. 'How could we forget something so important?' she asked. 'I have no clue. Who even forgets putting a name to their daughter?' he moaned.
To be fair, they had been looking for a name since the day they foud out they were having a daughter, but nothing had shined as the perfect name. 'Maybe now that we see her face we can think of something' he proposed, and Y/n just looked at him sourly 'What? What did I say?' he asked then. 'Jake darling the problem isn't not having ideas, is having a good one and actually agreeing in one for once!' she said, half scolding him for the names he had suggested the past few months. 'The names I said weren't that bad' he defended himself. 'Should I remind you that you wanted to name our daughter Johanna after McClain?' she told him 'It's brilliant!' Jake exclaimed. 'Jake we are not going to name our daughter after a guy doing thingies in a building on Christmas!' she exclaimed back. 'Hey, take that back! I never said anything when you suggested Beth because of Little Women!' he retorted. 'Maybe because that's a sensible name' she argumented, finishing off the conversation saying 'Maybe now that we can see her we can think of a name' she said, and they both turned to look at the sleeping baby.
'She's cute' he said. 'Of course she's cute, she's ours' she turned to look at him smiling, and a lightbulb seemed to appear above Jake's head. 'That's it! he said, happily. 'What's it?' Y/n asked, confused about her husband's behaviour. 'Adelaide' he stated. A few seconds of silence were followed by a 'what??' coming out of Y/n's mouth. 'Think about it, I'm a genius!' Jake continued, starting to pace around the room like he was solving a vital case 'We've always talked about wanting to go to Adelaide, and it was where went for our honeymoon. Plus, is not too long because we can call her Addie but it would still sound good in a professional setting when she grows up! It's perfect!' he sentenced. Y/n pondered the information about a few seconds that felt like hours for Jake, who wanted his wife agreement on that. 'Okay, you ARE a genius' Y/n said after the everlasting silence. Jake bounced a bit before going back to the hospital bed, where he looked at his baby and at his wife, who was focused on her baby with a satisfied look on her face. 'Adelaide' he said, looking at the little girl fondly. 'Addie... damn it does sound good' Y/n said, also trying out the name. And after a moment of tranquility, peace and quiet, Y/n looked at Jake again and talked again 'you do know we still need a second name right?' All Jake coul do was groan a bit while Y/n laughed at the defeated attitude of her husband. There were going to be some difficult years for Jake.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
★ First times ★
Life as a father had challenged Jake in ways he couldn't imagine. Changing diapers had probably traumatized him forever, and he learnt that bathing a baby was not too far from just bathing himself, especially when Addie started becoming more aware of her surroundings and she started splashing everywhere and Y/n and Jake were wet from head to toe after giving her a bath. But the worst for Jake hadn't been the diapers or the first times eating new foods where Addie decided to just throw food absolutely everywhere, no - the worst were the first steps.
Jake knew he was supossed to be excited about his daughter's first steps. And the first ones were no problem - she stumbled a bit and fell about a million times and then cried for about 20 minutes before settling down, but that wasn't out of the usual and him and Y/n were over the moon - the problem came when she dominated the art of walking, and then the practice of running.
Every time they let her out of the trolley in the park, Jake had sore knees from chasing her around. She would just run and run until she tripped or slipped and then she ended up on the floor. And there were times in which she just stood up and Jake had to chase her again. But there were others in which she would truly hurt herself, and then Jake became the most soft man known. He would go sprinting to her, checking everywhere for blood because she knew she got nervous when she saw it, and then taking her and cuddling her for some time, telling her she would be ok and that daddy was with her. Y/n had told him a million times that he was spoiling her a little bit, and that she Addie had to learn to get up by herself and not cry every time she fell because then she would always do that and she had to learn to not go to dad every time something happened to her because she knows that he would give her everything he wanted if she cried a bit. Oh, what a cruel mother! Trying to give her child a small amount of reality and helping her grow up not spoiled! How dared she! Jake actually agreed with her, and he really, REALLY tried to not go to her everytime she fell, but to no avail. In each time she stumbled upon the groud, Jake would be by her side in less than 5 seconds. He couldn't bear to see her cry like that! And yes, maybe Y/n was the most sensible one for not running everytime and assessing the situation first because she honestly knew that falling in grass didn't hurt much, but he couldn't help himself. His dad had never been there for him, but now it was his turn to be there for his daughter when she fell. Even if it meant being scolded by his wife later on. At least he knew he was Addie's favourite for those things, and that she would always go to daddy when she got hurt.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
★ Not-so-professional professional stylist ★
Addie liked her dad for some things, but she would always go to her mom for others. Like getting her hair done. Jake had tried to learn how to do Y/n's hair a few times during their relationship, but given he had failed the times he had tried, he decided to let the hair department to Y/n. Actually, scratch that. He had done it because, you know, he was a nice husband and father and wanted her wife and daughter to hame some quality ttime together. Yeah, that sounds quite nicer.
But some days, Y/n left earlier, and if she didn't have time to do Addie's hair, Jake had to do it. Those days, Addie's hairstyles where much simpler than the ones that Y/n did, and the girl never complained. But Jake knew she was a bit sadder when she didn't have her mom to do her hair with the braids and other thingies Y/n did to her and that she liked so much. And, being the amazing dad he wanted to be, Jake decided that he was going to learn how to do those things for her.
He started learnign when Addie was on kindergarten, practising on Y/n's hair, who was equally excited about the idea and taught him how to do the hairstyles she did to Addie while letting him do them on her hair. Jake learnt the ones that Addie liked the most, and the practised every night. When his daughter was in elementary school, he was pretty good at them. So, one of the days that Y/n had left earlier, Jake decided to try one of them on Addie.
'Hey, princess?' he called her while she was brushing her teeth. She was so grown up that he foud it hard to believe he had held her in her arms on her first ever day on earth. Cool, cool cool cool. 'Yes?' she answered, rinsing her teeth. 'Can I try a new hairdo on you today?' he asked, while Addie turned around to see him. 'Why?' she asked, trying to figure out if her dad was about to turn her hair blue. 'Well, because your mom has taught me a few and I want to try one out' he explained, hoping she would trust him. 'Okay' the girl decided after a few minutes of thinking it through. He was about to hug her when she spoke again 'BUT if you turn my hair any funky colour I'm telling mom' she said. Jake smiled fondly while hugging her, relizing how much she spoke liker her mom. 'Please don't, she would ground me' he joked, letting Addie go. 'Yeah, she better, I can't go around with pink hair or something, Aunt Ames would have a heart attack' she said while sitting on the chair Y/n used to do her hair. Jake laughed a bit. She definitely also have part of his personality on her.
After 20 minutes of carfeully doing his daughter's hair, Jake stepped back to look at it. It looked exactly like the aroud 2000 times he had tried it on Y/n's hair. But the judge wasn't him; it was Addie. 'You can go look now if you want' Jake told her, nervous. Nervous. He was nervous about the opinion of a 9 year old. When had he become like that. Addie walked slowly to the mirror with her eyes close, and then opened one of them, tensed about what she could find. But then she opened both of them when realization starting hitting her. 'Do you like it?' he asked her, smiling a bit. 'Dad, it's like the ones mom does on me!' she giggled, turning a bit o look at it from behind. She then hugged her dad tightly, overjoyed 'Thanks for learning how to do this, dad' she spoke softly. Okay, definitely worth it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
★ Playtime ★
There were many things that Jake wasn't precisely a fan of as a girl dad. But there were some other that he strangely liked, and one of them was playing with her daughter and her dolls.
The dolls were impeccable for aroud 2 months, but then Addie started playing right with them, as Jake said, and the dolls would end up painted, half-bald and with interchanged clothes. Y/n tried to convince her daughter to take more care of the dolls, but to no avail. And Jake couldn't care less about the state of the dolls. What amazed him was the stories her daughter would make up with them. No soap opera could compete with the dramatic storylines of Addie.
One of the times when Jake arrived from a case happy, he sat to play with her, being ready to try to assimilate the far-fetched stories her kid made up. And oh, my, it was probably the best story he had ever heard. And mini Shakespeare was aroud 5 at the time. Jake had the best daughter ever.
'Hi Ads' he greeted her. Addie looked up to see her dad sitting with her. 'Daddy!' she exclaimed, having been so engrossed on the dolls that she hadn't realized her dad was with her. She hugged him and the sat on his laps, between his crossed legs, like she did with everyone in that position. 'So, tell me, what are you playing to?' he asked, interested in what could the story be this time. 'Do you want me to tell you the story?' she asked excitedly, with eyes shining with emotion. 'Of course!' Jake answered, and she got up from his lap to show him the characters of her story. 'This' she said, taking a blonde Barbie on her hand 'is Lady. This' she took a red haired Barbie 'is Rosa' she said. 'Like Aunt Rosa?' Jake asked. 'Exactly!' Addie said, even though Jake knew she named her toys after everyone she knew because she could never remebmer more names. 'And this is Carlos' she showed Jake a dark haired Ken. 'Carlos?' he asked, pretty sure they didn't know a Carlos. 'Mom told me the name, it's a driver or something and mom says my Ken looks like him' she shrugged her shoulders and Jake focused on the doll until he realized his wife had put Carlos to the doll after Carlos Sainz. Goddamit, that guy was everywhere if Y/n was aroud. 'Is there any more characters in the story?' Jake asked, knowing his daughter always forgot one or two. 'Oh, yeah!' she said, taking another Ken 'This is Paolo, he's Carlos brother'. 'Paolo?' he asked. 'From Friends. dad!' maybe they shouldn't let her watch so much TV, she was learning things. 'Come on, tell me the story' Jake invited her. And so the story began.
Apparently Lady and Rosa had been friends for like, forever, but then Lady met Carlos. And Rosa was like, totally ok with it, but actually, SHE WAS NOT OKAY WITH IT (shock) because she had liked Carlos for way longer, like 2 months or so. So Rosa planned on stealing Carlos from Lady, but on like a bar or something where she was with Lady and Carlos she met Paolo and they were like totally in love and they kissed! (oh my god they kissed!) So the four of them were happy together and they even moved together, but one day Rosa came late from work and foud Lady, Carlos and Paolo having a sleepover without her! Can you believe it? (how dare they) So obviously she was like super sad so she left, and Paolo left the country because he was like SO in love with Rosa and didn't want to be with anynone else so he left to Italy and became the Pope. (Can you just become the Pope?) And then Rosa killed Lady and Carlos for having a sleepover and not telling her and she also left to go live in Mexico because she liked the beach. The end.
Jake was doumbfounded. That had took a dark twist. But Addie had a big smile on her face like she had told him that she had had pizza for dinner, so her dad just patted her in the head a bit scared, and got up from the floor to go to talk to his wife. 'Did Addie tell you what her dolls are up to lately?' he asked Y/n, who was on the couch reading Vogue. 'She told you the Lady-Rosa-Carlos-Paolo thing?' she asked, not even looking up at him. Jake dropped on the couch, still shocked. 'And you are like, ok with it?' he asked. She dropped the magazine to a side and look at him. 'Of course not, I have already told her something' Her husband sighed. 'Oh, good, what did you tell her?' he asked, wanting to be on the same page about what to tell her. 'That Carlos would NEVER have a sleepover with someone behind other people's back!' she said, like what her daughter had done had been the most offensive thing ever. Jake looked at her and then they both started laughing, with Addie looking confused at them from the other side of the living room. Jake should most definitely tell his coworkers not to talk about cases around her anymore, she was starting to pick things up.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
★ The end of an era ★
'I just can't believe you're going to high school next week!' Jake exclaimed, watching his daughter get ready to leave. 'Dad, you gotta assume I'm 14 and I'm starting to leave the nest, you should talk to someone about this' she said, with the quick humour she had learnt in the last years. 'Your mom is a therapist, I have already talked to her about this and she says that this is a total normal reaction to a child advancing on school level' he retorted. 'Mom is also facing the change, maybe you should talk to someon ELSE' she got back at him, putting her hair in a braid that now she knew how to do alone. 'Yeah, but your mom is completely objective and would never lie to me' he said again. 'Dad' she said, turning away from the mirror to look at him 'mom also tells you that she doesn't hate Die Hard, maybe you should reconsider if what she tells you is always the truth' she clapped back. Damn she was good. 'Okay' he admitted his defeat. 'But I'm still kinda sad about you going to high school'. Addie sighed, and made her way out of the bathroom, taking her dad by the wrist and taking him to the couch, where she sat him and she went to sat on the armchair that was nearer to the couch.
'So, tell me, why is it that you are so scared about me going to high school?' she asked him, reclining back on the armchair. Jake looked at her with a surprised expression 'Are you therapizing me or something?' he asked. 'Yep' her daughter confirmed, gesturing him with the hand to start talking. Jake sighed, knowing that her daughter was smart and if he didn't tell her what what on his mind, she would eventually figure it out... ot she would ask her mom to ask him. 'I...' he started, not knowing where to begin 'I'm scared to see you leave. I know high school is not such a big deal and your'e not going to college yet or anything, but it's the last step. We don't do much things together anymore, and I'm realizing I can't stop time or make it go slower, and I definitely can't go back to do your hair or play with your dolls or running after you when you started to walk. And maybe we grow more distant the years you have left here, and the you'll leave for Standford, which is quite far away from here, and you'll move to the West Coast for a job and then we'll only see you on Christmas and you'll only call your mom and we'll never be you and me anymore, you know?' he told her. It was weird having to tell his own daughter all those things, but he knew it was for the best. When he stopped looking to the floor, he realized Addie had glossy eyes. He inmediately went to her and hugged her tightly. Some things never change.
When they let go of each other, the girl was the first one in talking 'Dad, I didn't know you felt like I never do things with you' she said. Jake smiled softly and wiped the tears from his daughter's face. 'I never told you, Ads' he said. She composed herself again and spoke 'Let's have a movie night every week' she proposed 'we choose a movie each week and we watch it, the both of us. It can be our thing!' she said, excitedly. Jake nodded. 'Of course, princess' he agreed, hugging her again. 'I love you, dad' he heard through the hug. 'I love you too, Ads' he answered her. She was still part of him.

a Jake x fem!reader and the prompt is that Jake introduces the reader to the whole squad
YESSSSSS!!
Let me know what you thought of this in my ask box or in the comments! Feedback is always wanted!
Tumblr media
"So, Y/N I know that you want to meet the sqaudddd so I did something" this was the first thing Jake sad when you woke up next to him on Friday. "What did you do Jake?" You asked despite knowing that it would probably be something stupid. "Wellll, they don't know that I'm dating anyone, but you know who they are so that obviously has to change, you know?" "I don't like where this is going Jake, next thing you know you say that you want to pretend that I'm a criminal and introduce me in the interrogation room!" Jake quickly looked at you and very very quickly erased something from his notes on his phone. "Alrighty then, not that plan, falling through the roof? Knocking on the window? You come dressed up as Holly McClane and start to make out with me?" "No and it is Holly Gennero remember? They divorced." Jake just looked at you with those puppy love eyes. "How about I just walk in with some coffee and lunch for you? You can say you forgot it at home babe?" "Fine, boring but it came from you so it's great." He looked at the time and went to pick out clothes. Cue the whistling from your end, "My man is looking fine today, hurry up and go to work ill come around in the midday." He blew you a quick kiss before bolting out the door.
It was a pretty normal day in the precinct nothing out of the ordinary. Scully had another 'small' heart attack and holt didn't smile. Just a normal friday you would say. But Jake couldn't hide his excitement from his best friend Charles. Well Charles just assumed, and Jake spilled that there would be a surprise this midday. Let's be honest Charles couldn't keep this a secret very long and soon enough the squad all knew something would happen just not yet what would happen. Although they prepared for the worst believe me, the fire extinguisher close to Rosa was just a minor detail.
As you entered the building you walked towards the receptionist who just asked some routine questions and directed you towards the floor you boyfriend was on. Hearing the sound of the elevator Jake peeked to see if it was you, and there you were. With a cup of coffee and a sandwich from subway. Your eyes scanned the room and saw his fluffy hair which you could recognize miles away. "Jake there you are! I noticed you didn't take your food with you this morning so i thought I would visit you at work." You said while smiling at him, not noticing the eyes his colleagues gave each other in surprise that Jake had a girlfriend. "Thanks BABE! How much I LOVE you for doing this!" He almost yelled the words to make sure everyone heard it. Amy came up to him and took him away to have a small squad meeting, leaving you there to sit at his desk and sort the files why not.
"Who is that Jake? Did you kidnap her?" Terry asked worried for you. "No, that is my girlfriend from 8 months." Jake admitted to the squad. "8 months?!?!" "How did you keep this a secret?" Gina genuinely asked. "It was never a subject of conversation, at least not a serious one." You had stood up from his desk and walked to the break room. "Uhm Jake I've got to go, so unless you're going to introduce me now, I'm leaving" "Oh yeah of course."
"The scary looking one is Rosa, the big guy is Terry, the one with the boring outfit is Amy, the one with the phone is Gina, the small one is Charles and the one who never expresses emotions is Captain Holt." Jake said while pointing at each one. "It was very nice to meet you all, I hope to see you another time!" you said while leaving the break room waving and smiling. "Well Jake, I've only just met her but if you hurt her, I'll hurt you." Rosa said while smiling weirdly. "I won't I Won't.

Morning cuddles
Jake Peralta x fem!reader
Prompts: “No, I’m not letting you go. It’s too early to get out of bed.” & “It’s too cold! Come back!”
Warning(s): one sexual innuendo
A/n: Finally wrote something! Let me know if you want me to add you to my Jake Peralta/B99 masterlist
Tumblr media
You opened your eyes, the sun peaking through the curtains. You smiled softly, and rolled over, looking at Jake. You admired his soft features, gently pushing a piece of hair out of face. He peeked open his eyes, looking at you,
“G’morning.” He spoke, his voice thick with sleep. You smiled,
“Morning.” You sat up, stretching out, before beginning to get out of bed. Jake reached over, wrapping his arms around your waist, “Handsome, I’ve gotta get up, I’ve got work.”
He shook his head, “No, I’m not letting you go. It’s too early to get out of bed. The sun is literally rising!” You giggled,
“Baby, I always get up at this time, you know this.” You lean down and kiss his cheek, before wiggling out of his grip and heading to the en-suite.
“It’s too cold! Come back here!” Jake called out, and you giggled before peaking your head out, “You could join me.” His eyes widened and he flew out of bed,
“Never mind, sleeping can wait.”

You Better Peralta
Jake Peralta x G/N Reader  - Jake catches up with you before he goes undercover.  - Words: 1,012.  - Warnings: None.
You stand outside the precinct, breathing in the cool Brooklyn air. Jake had just got fired and signed up for an undercover mission with the FBI less than two hours ago and it had just dawned on you what that meant. You sigh, shutting your eyes. The idea of Jake going undercover made you nervous. You knew, realistically, that he would be fine. He’s an amazing detective. But there was something nagging at you, something that felt like unfinished business. You open your eyes again, walking towards your car.
“(Y/N)?” You turn around, seeing Jake coming up to you holding a box of his belongings. “Hey, thought I missed you.” He looks at you and smiles, causing your heart to beat slightly faster.
“Hey Jake. Amazing assignment” You say, trying to not let the worry you feel ruin his big moment. “I have to admit though, I’m a little jealous.”
Jake laughs. You laugh too, trying to ignore the butterflies you feel. “Really? Well, if you want I could help you get fired. I’m really good at it.”
You look at the man in front of you, trying to take in the small details to remember him while he is gone. You look at his goofy smile, his fluffy hair, the way his jacket sits on his shoulders. You take a deep breath in, trying to distinguish his cologne from the smell of the street. Finally, you look into his eyes. The soft brown showing so much warmth, the wrinkles around showing life and laughter. You send him a sad smile.
“Yeah. So, this is real. This is happening” you point to the box in his hand and he lets out a soft laugh. He looks at you, opening his mouth a few times before settling on the words he wants to say.
“Look, I don’t wanna be a jerk. I know I’m leaving and we won’t see each other for a while. It’s just…” Jake stopped. You looked up to the man with your eyebrows furrowed. He looked back, having an internal debate about if he should continue. You take a step closer to Jake, reaching out to take the box from his hands. You put the box on the trunk of your car and looked back at him once more.
“What’s going on?”
“I don’t know what’s gonna happen on this assignment. And if something bad goes down, I think I’d be pissed at myself if I didn’t say this” He stops again, gauging your reaction. You smiled, urging him to go on. “I kinda wish something could happen between us, romantic-stylez.”
The butterflies you felt are now roaring, your heart rate increasing. You looked at Jake, with your mouth slightly open, aiming to say anything. But no words were coming out. Jake rolled his lips between his teeth and took a deep breath.
“I know we’re coworkers, and I’m going undercover and that’s just how it is. But…” he stopped his sentence and looked down to the ground with a small smile. “Anyway, we’re not supposed to have any contact, so I should go. America needs me!” He says with a soft laugh, looking back at you. He smiled, turning to grab the box from your car. You reach out, stopping his hands mid action. Jake freezes, looking back at you. He watches the emotions you express through your facial expressions.
You hold his hands, opening your mouth to talk again. But words still wouldn’t come. You move your hands to his arms, then his shoulders. You hold them there for a moment, feeling the soft leather of his jacket between your fingers. You move your arms up further, up to his neck before settling on his cheeks. You take another step forward, slowly closing the gap between the two of you. Slowly closing the gap between coworkers and friends to something more. After Jake's confession, something clicked in your brain. Something you realise you have been putting off acknowledging for months.
“(Y/N)? Hey. Are you okay?” Jake asked, worry seeping into his tone.
“No, not really” you whisper, pulling Jake closer again. You were inches apart now, your hands still resting on his cheeks. Jake’s breath quickened slightly, and you let out a small huff. “I think I’m going to regret not doing this before you go.”
Your heart is thumping now as you pull Jake’s face closer to your own. As you close your eyes, you connect your lips together softly. Jake returns the kiss immediately, wrapping his arms around your waist, holding you tight. You felt the butterflies be released, a sense of calm washing over you. It felt natural. It felt right. You pull back after a few seconds, resting your forehead against his. You feel a single tear sliding down your cheek. You keep your eyes closed, scared of what you might see when you open them. You rub your left thumb over his cheekbone and he lets out a soft chuckle.
“If I knew you were going to kiss me, I would have told you all this months ago” you huff at his words, the corners of your mouth lifting slightly into a small smile. Jake pulls you in again, kissing you with more determination, with more passion. You could feel your heart opening, welcoming the idea of something more. You finally allowed yourself to feel these emotions you have been ignoring. You pull back, opening your eyes to the man in front of you. He looked at you with such adoration, it broke your heart to take a step back from him.
“If we keep going I won’t let you go” you whisper, giving Jake a sad smile. You could feel more tears falling from your eyes now. You move your hands, one going to wipe the tears from your face. Looking back at Jake’s eyes, you could see they looked wet too.
“I’ll be back for you, promise” Jake says, reaching for your hand. You laugh, taking his hardened hand and giving it a squeeze.
“You better Peralta.”

hey girl!!! I think ur still writing for jake from b99 (hopefully) so i was wondering if i could request him with a reader who's on her period and she's working, jake brings her home and comforts her (cause her cramps are rlly bad) <3
jake peralta x fem!reader
cw : reader is described as female, reader has truly bad cramps
𝐍𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍
Tumblr media
as a woman, one of the necessities of life was making sure you could function during your period.
if you didn't have a way to cope, it was hard, or almost impossible to do day to day tasks such as going to work.
and you had your emergency kit in your desk drawer. heating pad, tampons, spare underwear, pads and some pills your doctor had prescribed to you when you explained how bad your cramps could get.
and while you would usually replenish your kit a few days before your period started, you hadn't expected the wave of cramps that overtook you as you sat at your desk.
"shit-" you muttered under your breath when you felt the first one.
you were quick to open your drawer and look for the familiar yellow bottle, only to find it empty.
your stomach dropped and another cramp rolled through your abdomen.
you couldn't do much about it now, only put on a heating pad, change your underwear and put on a pad.
so that's exactly what you did. you grabbed your necessary supplies and headed towards the bathroom, making an extra effort to walk straight instead of hunched over.
you felt a pair of eyes on you briefly but just ignored it, knowing your priority at the moment.
when you returned to your desk, heating pad in place over your abdomen, you felt a tiny bit better, but the cramps were still coming fierce and fast.
it must've been the crease in your brow that alerted jake of your discomfort because after a few moments you saw a figure sit down at the side of your desk.
you picked your eyes up to find his familiar brown eyes. a soft smile settled briefly on your lips.
" what's up ?" you questioned, dropping your pen down on your desk quietly as to not aggravate the headache you could feel forming.
" you doing okay ?" he questioned, his voice quiet and comforting.
you should've known jake would notice you acting off. he knew you too well not to notice.
" yeah, i'm fine-" you paused momentarily when you felt a stabbing pain in your lower back. " just cramps "
early on in your relationship jake had found out just how bad your cramps could be. after you had to cancel a date last minute saying you were unwell and he showed up to your apartment with takeout. you had just been honest with him and told him you got really bad cramps.
he wasn't rude or grossed out, he just asked how he could help and you ended the night curled on your couch with his arm draped over your stomach, his palm splayed out under your t-shirt on your abdomen.
since that night he had always been there when you needed him to be.
" v'you taken anything ?" he questioned, his voice still slightly hushed.
" haven't replenished my prescription "
a small hiss came from his lips as he took in the repercussions of you not having the thing that made these few days more bearable for you.
" d'you want me to go and refill it for you ?" his suggestion made your heart melt and you reached your hand over to squeeze his hand lightly.
" it's okay, i can wait a couple hours. can we go by the pharmacy on the way home, though ?" you asked to which he nodded immediately.
he gave your hand a small squeeze, giving you a comforting smile before he departed back to his own desk.
you thought you could wait until the end of the work day, but your cramps only worsened over the next hour.
you couldn't focus on your case reports over the stabbing pain through your body.
" c'mon i'm taking you home "
you lifted your head to find jake stood by your desk, his jacket on and his bag over his shoulder.
" jake, you don't have to do this. i'm fine, and we've both got st-"
" would you just let me do this for you? i talked to holt and he's giving you the afternoon off and i'm taking you home. " the way he said it left almost no room for discussion. he was taking you home and that was the end of it.
you didn't debate with him, just pulled your jacket over your shoulders and picked up your bag.
his hand slipped easily into yours as the two of you walked out of the precinct and down towards the parking lot.
the drive back to your apartment wasn't a long one, it felt a lot better after jake hopped out at the pharmacy and returned to the car with your prescription in his hand along with a bottle of water.
when you arrived home, jake told you to go and shower, change and get settled on the couch while he made some tea.
you were quick to go into your bedroom, grab one of jake's t-shirts and a pair of long pyjama pants and get take them into the bathroom.
your shower was quick but definitely made you feel a bit better. when you stepped out you changed into the clothes you had gotten out and walked out into the living room.
you found jake sat on the couch on his phone, a mug of tea on the coffee table beside a hot water bottle and one of your cosiest blankets on the couch.
nothing was said as you sat down and leant into jake's frame, his arms wrapping around you swiftly. he simply offered you the remote and made minimal comments when you put on a film you both enjoyed.
though as much as you enjoyed it, your head went limp against jake's chest within the first half an hour.

cherry + jake peralta pls!
love ur work sm <33
cherry — do they get jealous of their lover easily? do they show it?
⤷ with: jake peralta
Tumblr media
Jake is a really competitive men, but not with thing that really matter. He wouldn't treat as a challeging between him and someone else. You are not something he's trying to win, you're his person. If someone don't see it, than they can get out of your lives.
If Jake is uncomfortable with someone, he will talk with you. Being honest is the best way to make everything all right. You will reassure him that you love him and only him, and he will feel better. There is no need to pretend that he's all right, not when he could be hearing your sweet words and feeling your sweet embrace.
That doesn't mean that it will always be perfect. If Jake see someone that he thinks would be better for you, he can start acting a little bit weird. He would never treat you badly or anything, but you would noticed. This time, you would need to be the one to talk to him and undertand what he's feeling. It will be a long conversation.
Jake trust you, and you trust him. Of course things can't be always perfect, but you both are trying. And trying, to keep on trying, is enough.
if you enjoyed, please reblog! i promise it makes a difference ♡

Jake Peralta x reader - mistakes we made
Tumblr media
Hii!!! I’m just wondering if you can make a story about Jake Peralta x Yn. The reader gets into a argument with Jake about a case, Jake take sit too far and the reader gets really hurt and stops showing up to work. But eventually Jake apologies:))) - Anon💜
Sitting in the interrogation room, you looked at all the papers and photos that were scattered around you, occasionally moving one or two of them.
The door was opened at you looked up.
“Carefully I’ve got papers everywhere.”
Jake closed the door, stepping over and around all the papers.
“What you doing? Murder puzzle?” He asked.
He sat down next to, setting your cup down for you and set his own cup down.
“You put way too much much sugar in this didn’t you?”
“I may have lost count.” He grinned.
Laughing a little you picked up the cup anyways, taking a sip of the overly sweet coffee.
“Did you manage to find anything else?”
“Nope, I did find the is penny though.”
Jake dug through his pocket though and pulled out a penny and he showed it to you.
You took it from him, carefully examining it, and you got up, rummaging through the papers, pulling out a photo that was hidden under all the others.
“Jake check this out.”
You handed him the photo, then handed him the coin afterwards, letting him look at them both but you could tell that he wasn’t making the connection between the two things you had given him.
“Jake it’s the same one. From the coin collection? It was the one missing. You may have just found the thing that can help us catch our suspect.”
You jumped up, taking the penny from him and you made your way out of the room to go see if they could pull any prints of anything from it.
When you had taken it to where it needed to be you made your way back to the interrogation room, gathering everything up, taking it to your desk.
While you were working you noticed Jake was sat at Charles’ desk throwing things into the trash can across the room.
“Seriously Jake come on we’ve only got a small timeframe before this dude goes back underground for another couple of years.”
Jake looked over at you.
“Come on lighten up, you sat we have the missing piece to your murder puzzle.”
“Jake this is serious.” You snapped a little.
You got up, heading somewhere else to focus on your paperwork since at your desk wasnt going to work.
You didn’t return to your desk until you were finished with the papers, and you checked your emails to see if your results had come back yet.
And they had.
And the result made you absolutely furious.
Slamming your hands on the desk, you marched into the break room.
“Jake you fucked it up!”
He jumped a little, turning around from where he was snacking.
“What? What did I do?”
“You’re god damn sticky ass finger prints are all over our only clue, fucking chocolate? Seriously?!”
“How was I supposed to know?” He huffed.
You walked over, grabbing the bag of chips from his hand and slammed them down on the table.
“It was at the crime scene!”
“Come on (N/N) you know we’ll find something else we always do!”
“That was all we had!”
“That was all we had title of your-“ “don’t!”
Jake went quiet.
Your let out a deep sigh, running a hand over your head.
“I’ve been trying to catch this bastard for years, he takes just enough, then goes underground again until he wants more. He’s going to go underground again!”
“Why are you pinning this on me?!”
“Because you fucked with the only thing that could’ve had prints! Why weren’t you wearing gloves!?”
Jake threw his hands in the air.
“How was I supposed to know?! Maybe if you were better at looking you woulda found it first!”
“You should follow procedures!”
“This is why you’ll never amount to a Lieutenant you’ll always be a detective! Cause you can’t catch one criminal!”
“You’re off the case.” You sneered.
You stormed out of the break room, dropping the file on Amy’s desk.
“You’re my new secondary, get yourself caught up I need a new pair of eyes.”
“Hey what’s wrong?”
You ignored her and just left the precinct for your lunch, hoping some time away would calm you down a little bit.
It worked for the most part, you let Amy run point on your case for the rest of the day since she might be able to see what you couldn’t.
You never went straight home, you decided to go out for a drink or two before heading home late that night.
When you walked up to your door you found Jake sleeping leant up against your door and you sighed.
Unlocking it you pushed it so he fell to the ground and he immediately woke up again.
“I thought you were just ignoring me.” He pouted.
“I was out.”
You stepped inside, and Jake just rolled through the door, letting you close it behind him.
“What do you want?”
Jake sighed, sitting up and he rested his arms on his knees.
“To say sorry for what I said… and did…”
You walked away into the kitchen and he followed after you.
“Come on (N/N) I mean it, I really am sorry. Okay? I’m sorry I messed up your case I know how important it is to you, and I’m sorry for what I said, I know you’re worried about the exam. I even got you your favourite candy look!”
Jake rummaged through his pockets, pulling out a bag of candy that was open.
“I may have eaten some I got hungry.”
“Could’ve gone to get something else.”
“Nah, I would have just sat there all night if I had to.”
Jake set the candy down on the counter.
“You’re going to ace the lieutenants exam (Y/N), I know you are. And I went back to the crime scene, I found a new lead and currently have everything being checked over by uniforms so I don’t mess up your case again, and they’re going to pass everything on the Amy first thing in the morning.”
You furrowed your brows a little bit and turned around to look at him.
“What?”
Jake shrugged a little bit, giving you a small grin.
“I’m sorry.”
You sighed.
“I’m sorry too, I shouldn’t have gotten so pissed off at you. There wasn’t a good chance we would get any prints or anything, I guess I was just stressed about all of this.”
“I get it, I do. Which is why, I also brought a copy of die hard because it’s the best film and I can’t believe you haven’t watched it, and we’re going to order so much takeout we can’t move in the morning.”
“You mean I’m going to order takeout?”
He grinned.
“You know I’m always broke.”
Laughing a little, you followed him to the living room so he could put the dvd in.
You kicked your feet up in his lap, and he laid down so he was laid on your legs, messing with the laces on your shoes, tying them together.
While he was doing that you were shoving random bits of paper in his hood for when he went to put it up later.
Jake wasn’t one to hold a hard day over anybody, and he knew he had made a mistake when he called out your biggest fear like that, which is why he was planning on doing whatever he could over the next few days to make everything easier on you before going back to his usual ways of annoying you

Jake Peralta x Reader - Dating the Captain's daughter [1.2K Words]
The Brooklyn summer heat had taken a toll on the city. Everyone at the office was dripping through their shirts this morning due to the absence of air conditioning, courtesy of a broken fuse that impacted all of New York City. The entire squad was forced to dress summer casual, looking like a bunch of vacationers that had washed up into the precinct, with only Capitan Holt abiding to the work-place dress code.
So, when you walked into the police station with your yellow sundress swaying up your thighs, Jake Peralta had no choice but to look you up and down like a tall glass of water. With sunglasses adorning your head like a crown, you walked straight into the Captain’s office without saying a single word. The Captain had shut his office door behind you, forbidding any eavesdropping of the conversation.
“Jake, stop staring down the new sketch artist,” Terry commanded from his desk, “You’re going to scare her away before she even starts.”
The detective turned towards Terry, confusion running through his brows, “We hired a new sketch artist? How come I was never told this?”
“Because you always hit on the new hires,” Rosa chimed in dropping off a shared file onto Jakes desk, “Holt asked us all to keep her transfer a secret until she got here.”
With genuine hurt, Jake shot his friends an accusing look, “That’s crazy. I am a delight to meet, I can keep this profresh. It’s all of you making this unprofresh.” He huffed with frustration earning sympathetic gazes from the rest of the squad. Before anyone had the chance to add to the conversation, the room went quiet with Holt calling Jake towards his office before closing the door once more. Standing up, Peralta turned to the sargent with a smirk, “See! I am a delight.” With determination he marched to the Captain’s office, smoothing out his short-sleeved flannel.
“Jake, I’d like to meet (Y/N) H.C.” The Captain introduced the two of you with a gesturing hand.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Jake Peralta. You must be the new sketch artist,” Jake stated proudly reaching for your hand and giving Holt a smug look, “What does the H.C. stand for, Honest Character? We sure need more of that around here.” The detective gave his superior another annoyed look, still frustrated from being kept out of the loop.
You looked between the officers, clearly you had stepped into a separate argument. Deciding to ignore the unknown elephant in the room you took Jake’s hand, giving him a shake. “No, it’s short for Holt-Cozner. I’m from the Seven-Three’s forensics division, my dad said you needed some help with the Davidson murder.”  You clarified, with question taking over your voice. The silence ran thick throughout the office, both Holt and yourself confused beyond belief. You slowly retrieved your hand away from Jake’s when it was evident that he’d been shocked frozen.
“Your dad?” Jake quipped, bewildered by the fact.
“Yes,” Holt confirmed hesitantly, unsure of what had taken over his subordinate. “I had Santiago inform the team that my daughter would be visiting and helping you with the case.”
With twisted lips Jake shot a look at his desk, now crowded with snickering friends and an apologetic looking Boyle. Peralta knew this was payback for when he embarrassed his co-worker during last week’s briefing. In an awkward haste, Jake led you a spare room leaving you with no choice but to mumble a quiet “I’ll see you at dinner” to Holt before exiting.
You reviewed the photos and DNA evidence quietly, unsure of what was going through the detective’s mind. With a slight cough you cleared your throat before speaking, “It’s odd that there aren’t any fingerprints around the apartment that match the ones on the weapon,” you started “How did they enter the apartment in the first place? And even then, why not take the same precautions with handling the weapon. It’s like they’re a ghost and only moralized to kill the victim.”
Jake looked at you excitedly, a lightbulb illuminating in his head. “Because they were framed!” He yelled excitedly shuffling through the files bringing your attention to a picture of the apartment owner, “We dismissed this guy’s prints because it’s his apartment, but he must’ve blackmailed our suspect into putting his prints on the weapon – the suspect kept on saying he was there returning a favor, and that’s it.” The detective shook his head in disbelief, already over the embarrassing moment from earlier, “You’re a genius.”
“It was your solve detective, I’m just happy to help.” You smiled, getting ready to show yourself out.
“Wait, don’t you want to stay for the interrogation?” Jake asked, hoping he would have the opportunity to make up for his horrible first impression, “Or at least long enough for me to take you out for lunch?” He could tell that the latter offer took you by surprise. So, he offered you a welcoming arm, inviting you to link with it, “Do you like Pizza?”
The awkwardness from earlier had washed away as the two of you shared a laugh over two slices of New York’s finest pizza and ice-cold orange sodas. Jake had explained the entire situation from this morning and in return you had described to him your life with your dads: Raymond Holt and Kevin Cozner.
“You have the coolest dads ever,” Jake exclaimed taking another slice of pepperoni pizza. The cheese stretched as he placed the slice back down, “I can’t believe that this is the first time I’ve heard of you.”
You shook your head, laughing at the hanging cheese string dangling from Jake’s lips. You were thankful for the bright sun leaving a pink tint on your skin, effectively hiding your growing blush. Your dad had told you many stories about the detective. Nights of going on and on about his awful handwriting, his silliness during Halloween, and how he had set every precinct record since Holt had taken command. You had been curious about Peralta, but you would have never thought he’d be this charming. Maybe it was the romantic pop song playing on the radio, or the heat coming from the kitchen, but desire had bubbled in your heart, and you were itching for more time with him.
With his permission, you wiped off the extra sauce and cheese off the corner of Jake’s mouth, making you suddenly shy. “Yeah, and yet I’ve already learnt so much about you.”
Jake’s smile grew bigger, happy that he’d manage to turn the situation around. The way your sundress hiked up your legs had not left his mind since this morning. Though he felt himself enchanted to meet you, he knew with certainty that he wanted to go about this spontaneous date correctly – with you being the Captain’s daughter and all. He felt it in his gut that you were going to be a forever thing, and his gut feelings were always right. “To even it out, maybe I can learn more about you over drinks tomorrow at the bar?”
You leaned in gifting the detective a light kiss on his cheek, unable to resist those dimples for any longer than you already have, “It’s a date.”
And it was one of the best dates both of you had been on. From that day forward, Jake no longer wanted or needed to hit on other new hires, not with you and your sundresses frequenting the precinct. The squad had grown fond of your budding relationship, with even the Captain showing signs of enthusiasm. As Jake meet you downstairs for another summer night of exploring the city, he thought to himself about how lucky he was to have been pranked by his friends that morning.
