The yearners/cuddlers: Deuce, Ruggie, Azul, Kalim, Trein, Neige

These are a bunch of people who yearn for warmth and affection. Either they're used to being cuddled to sleep, or they have a natural urge to grab onto something or someone and hold onto it/them until the sun comes up. Their grip is sturdy, their sleep is sound and their pillow is very likely drooled on. They're the most likely to snore, from small kitten snores to bass bosted remixes.

The pristine logs: Riddle, Jack, Silver, Crewel

This is the sleep position of a person who totally has their life together (/s) and absolutely nothing is wrong with them (/s). They are totally okay with their life (/s). Even from the moment the go to bed they know how they want to wake up in the morning. The pose is unshakeable and they are statues, impossible to wake up from the outside, even with the aid of the loudest Sebek available.

The space hoggers: Grim, Ace, Jade, Floyd, Crowley

Their mission is to occupy as much of the bed as possible. Either from spreading their limbs for comfort or from moving in their sleep as if they're dreaming of participating in a yoga class, they will never wake up the same way they went to bed. Their dedication to claim as much of the bed as possible no matter who else shares it could be rivaled only by the Roman Empire.

The squishy limb havers: Jamil, Cater, Idia, Che'nya

These people don't fall asleep, they collapse of exhaustion on their bed after being awake for too long, only to wake up a few hours later and wonder why their new bed was the floor. Unfortunately for them, it would be hard for them to fall back asleep, as they somehow managed to get some rest in the position they powered down in. If by some miracle half of their body is still on the bed in the morning, they consider it as a win.

The coffin dwellers: Trey, Vil, Rook, Ortho, Malleus, Sebek, Sam

This is another position of a perfectly normal person with absolutely no issues whatsoever (/s). This pose is not only absolutely mundane and normal (/s), but it's also efficient: it's the position that allows them to sleep the best and to wake up the fastest in the morning. They sleep (or charge) in a position worth grading, and the school should implement a scoring system that would benefit their overall grade only based on the perfect stillness and grace and total normalcy (/s) of their sleep.

The freefallers: Epel, Leona, Lilia, Vargas

These people have nothing to fear, as sleeping with you butt upwards and on your stomach is a pose used to assert dominance and superiority. It shows fearlessness, because an unprotected back is a show of vulnerability. Despite the risk they subject themselves to in order to make a statement, they refuse to change their sleeping position. They prefer their freedom and the superiority complex... and the neck / back pain in the morning.

There's not many things that Lilia hasn't seen. But he understands that compared to him you are quite young, and you haven't had the time he has had to get used to your own skin. So he's willing to wait. He knows you'll show him your beautiful eyes when you are ready.

And one day, you are. You're having a cuddle session, and Lilia is whispering enough affirmations to you that there is no world where you can't feel loved. And when you're timid voice speaks up and says you're ready to show him your eyes, he has to do his best not to let out an excited shout so that he doesn't scare you off.

He is immediately distracted by your pink eye when the mask comes off. He has pink eyes! It's like you're destined to be together! You can't help but laugh about how excited he is about that, which sets him spiraling off on how your mint green eye is just as good because the thorn fairy loves green!

Again, there is no way you can feel unloved when you're with this man. A part of you thinks it's silly that you ever felt self conscious, before he sees that thought cross your face, and tells you that it's alright, that was just your nervous system protecting itself can you tell I'm doing parts work in therapy lmao and that it is okay for you to protect yourself that way. There is nothing to be ashamed of.

Immediately wants to go back to the cuddle session. Don't get him wrong, he's really excited that you guys took this step forward together, but he is starting to get chilly again since you took a break from cuddling.

He's a little sheltered, let's be real. So when you tell him why you wear the mask all the time, he wants to tell you that he won't stare, but he can't be certain. He knows he'll love you no matter what, but still, he's not sure if you'd be comfortable with him staring.

So it's a growth thing for both of you. You both need to be ready for it. Riddle takes the time to get used to the idea, and you take the time to trust that Riddle isn't going to leave you or get scared of you over something like this. (He won't. He knows this. He loves you too much. But he won't push you on it.)

When both of you are ready, you do your best to make it as normal as possible (but both of you are nervous, so it's still a little stiff). The idea was you'd have a tea party at Ramshackle, where Riddle would arrive and the mask would already be off. Easy peasy.

Riddle knew he would stare. But he didn't expect that the staring would be from how beautiful your eyes were. Both of them are practically glittering like jewels. He tears up a little, once he realizes how amazing it is to see his true love's eyes for the first time. It's like he is falling in love all over again.

After he assured you he's crying from happiness, you go back to your tea party. You do your best to stop your heart from fluttering whenever you catch Riddle staring at you with pure love and adoration.

He wishes he had some authority to give you advice on. He wishes he could offer some way to help you build your confidence up… but considering he calls his past "the forbidden lore" he has absolutely no authority. So he'll just have to wait until you are ready.

Also, prior to you dating, when you showed up in his life, he may or may not have had Jade look into you for business purposes, and you may or may not have never forgotten that, even though you know full well that he no longer needs blackmail or a use a contract to get you to do what he wants.

So it takes a bit of time for you to be ready to show him your eyes. To him, you are perfect in every way so there's nothing to worry about, but again, he has absolutely no authority in the manner.

One day he offers a trade. He shows you his true form, if you show him your eyes. He even has a contract and everything, where if the day comes and either of you isn't ready, you can wait a little longer. But he thinks that if you both show your true selves at the same time, it might be easier.

So during the winter break, when Azul is certain there won't be many people on campus, you both go to one of the Octavinelle tanks, and he holds a potion, while you hold the corner of your mask. It's a "rip off the band-aid on three" kind of thing, and once you have both "transformed", it's very quiet in there.

You're struck with how beautiful he is. He's self conscious about this form? But he's so gorgeous! How can that be? Meanwhile he's having the exact same thoughts about you.

You both say, "You're so beautiful!" At the exact same time, and now you're both flustered. It's pretty cute actually, you're both acting like bashful young lovers and trying to one up each other on the compliments. And both of you end up coming to a new conclusion

It doesn't matter what the rest of the world thinks of you, because the one who matters most thinks you're perfect.

This guy. *Sighs*

He lives to compliment people. It's his favorite part of being Le chasseur d’amour! He wants to compliment all of you, and this includes what he is positive are "the most beautiful eyes to ever grace any world". Most of the people on this list will let you do things on your own time. Rook Hunt is not most people.

He wants to read you like a book, and the eyes are the windows to the soul, non? Perhaps just a peak. He won't ask again! He promises he will be content if he just gets a peak.

Like Lilia, there's no world you can feel unloved with Rook. But his tactic here seems to be to annoy you enough that you forget that you are self conscious. And Rook is pretty good at strategy, so this plan is actually working.

"This moment would be most merveilleux if I could see the emotions that your mask hides from me."

"You are a cruel lover to deny me your radiant gaze."

"If I were your mask, I should cherish every moment that I got to behold your visage."

One day, you are in the midst of what is currently up to thirty minutes of a monologue on how "nothing would give my heart more joy than to be blessed with your holy gaze but once" when you just…rip off the mask.

What you don't expect is his hands immediately caressing your face as he kisses you with more passion than he ever has before (which is saying a lot, he's been written up for excessive pda multiple times at Pomefiore events he'd taken you to). When his mouth isn't on you he is breathlessly whispering about how "your godlike gaze is almost too much for this mortal being" and "Je peux mourir heureux maintenant que j'ai regardé le soleil."

You want to tell him to shut the fuck up, you're annoyed with him, but he's so passionate, and now you're getting all flustered and caught up in the moment, and you're forgetting what was happening a moment ago. The mask has a tendency to vanish from here on out. And the perfect hunter has no idea where it is. How strange! 😲

What Vil really wants is to know that the outfits he has designed for you will match your eyes. But he supposes that as long as they matched the mask it would be alright.

If you are okay with him doing your makeup, you'll hear him huff everytime he gets to the part where he'd normally do the eye makeup, but aside from that, he won't say anything.

He knows that his presence and beauty can be intimidating (Rook's words) and on top of that he knows that being his partner gets you some negative attention from some of his crazy fans. He gets that it has to be so easy for you to feel insecure about your eyes not matching. So, one day, he sits you down and takes your hand, and tells you that if you never are comfortable, that's fine. He'll support you.

He even designs masks for you. They are some of his favorite creations because his favorite person wears them. On a selfish note, they are a mark to everyone that you chose him.

He's so honored and flustered when you tell him that you won't wear the mask to the ceremony for the award he won. Honestly, he tears up a little, but he blots that away quickly, since he ran out of waterproof mascara yesterday. Asks if you are comfortable with Rook seeing your eyes first so that he can design the outfit and it'll be a surprise on the day. Like he'll get to fall in love with you all over again…or you know, whatever, he's just spitballing here.

If the answer is no, he will still be just as flustered when he picks you up at your door in the outfit he designed for you without seeing your eyes. Seeing your entire face, watching those eyes light up as they take him in, it's everything for him.

He's so proud when he receives his award, and gives a tear jerking speech where he thanks you for your love and support. Everytime someone comes up to congratulate him, he goes on and on about how beautiful you look tonight, and how happy he is to have you in his life. It's the human side of Vil no one usually gets to see, and that night, everyone there sees you as the perfect being that Vil does.

Vil Schoenheit with Eve reader

Eve is an antagonist from the game No Straight Roads, an artist, and Tatiana's right hand woman.

-He first met you during the ceremony in the prologue but didn't bother talking to you as he was busy trying to persuade Leona to eat Grim. However, you showed no struggle in capturing the little monster with your...... Giant arms that appeared from the ground? You smacked Grim flat as a pancake.

-He finally met you properly when you, Grim and Adeuce caught Epel singing to well. He was amazed that a person with a unique skin condition like you exists. You didn't bother picking a fight with him unlike the Adeuce.

-A bit jealous and annoyed when Rook started blabbering about your beauty to him. He actually asked the Hunter if he took some pictures of you just to see if your skin really is unique.

-During the VDC, he came to sleep in Ramshackle. He saw all of your marvelous sculptures, paintings, simple projects you've been working on and even listened to your music. He made a mental note to actually give you credit for sure.

-Vil saw you once talking to statue late at night, saying that you miss "Tatiana". He relates to you in some ways. Nobody understands you, you are always being prejudiced from other people, half of the world is against you, and the other half only admires your masks. But even so, you still find inspiration and motivation to improve, to help people understand creativity.

-He finds it odd the way you speak. He hangs around Rook day and night, so he can understand some of your words.

-You told him that you actually felt envious of Rook's loyalty to him, which reminds you of Zuke with that...pedestrian girl.

-During his overblot, he tries poisoning you but is caught off guard when you suddenly teleported them to another dimension you call Diva's Realm. You teleported through paintings making hard for him to hit you. He also learned that your long legs of yours are not only for dancing. There were arms and legs everywhere that tried to attack him.

-After gaining consciousness, he somewhat remembers the moves you used to fight him and wants you to join VDC next time. He almost blacked out when he sees you have six arms carrying his body.

-Months and months flew by, you were happy in twisted wonderland with your friends but you couldn't help but miss your world. So you promised Vil that by the time you get back home, you'll display a painting of him in his honour.

-You managed to have millions of Magicam followers. Have received calls from different agencies offering you to model for them. Malleus is happy that you sculpted a gargoyle for him. Still grossed out that Rook's stalking you. The light music club gained a new member. Over all, it was fun in Night Raven College.

Reviewing New Year Sale Outfits in Twisted Wonderland

In Japan, New Year's Day (お正月, or "Oshogatsu") is the biggest holiday of the year, and it is also my favorite. That being said, the TWST artists never disappoint when it comes to the art for this event, so let's review all of the cards!

Spoiler warning for upcoming ENG and JP sever event cards, including some Groovy art!

Round 1: 2021-2022

Kalim Al-Asim (SSR)

Look at him, he's so festive and cheerful

This Kalim, as well as Deuce's SR, have a special place in my heart. I started playing TWST the summer it came out, but I wasn't a "serious" player until around New Year. Kalim and Deuce were my first "duo magic" pair, and I love their interactions in the story as well.

I love his headband ribbon and how it matches his obi. The sparkly hakama also suits him. I'm excited to see Jamil's version of this outfit as well, but we all know it'll be a very long time until Jamil volunteers to work retail during the peak season.

12/10 he's so cute

Deuce Spade (SR)

I was surprised that this was just an SR, and that you could get him by finishing the event story. His outfit is so detailed!

I chose his Groovy art so you could see that he's wearing sneakers with his outfit, which I found funny. Cater is wearing similar shoes in his own SR, so it must be part of the Heartslabyul New Year attire. It still feels very in-character for Deuce.

The silhouette of his outfit is interesting. His jacket is short like a suit jacket, but has the sleeves of a haori. There are lots of elements of his dorm uniform, like the pins and sash around his waist.

Not only does he look awesome, but he chose to work during the New Year's Sale to buy a present for his mother.

12/10 very cool and wholesome

Round 2: 2022-2023

Ruggie Bucchi (SSR)

HIS HAIR!!!

Aside from Vargas Camp and his birthday cards, Ruggie doesn't have a lot of SSRs, so I'm happy for him. I look forward to getting him in the English server soon.

I love how Ruggie seems to have picked up a lot of merchandise from around the store. Aside from a fan, which all the boys are using as their "weapons" for battles, he has a little koi bag, which I love so much (I have a similar one). The little toy he's holding is called a den-den daiko (でんでん太鼓), which is popular for young children.

11/10 congrats on getting the job, Ruggie!

Cater Diamond (SR)

I chose to show his un-Groovy art, because it's easier to see his outfit.

His clothes are similar to Deuce's, except that his "vest" is red, and he is wearing a button-down shirt underneath. The mix of Japanese and Western influences reminds me of Taisho-era clothing. He looks like Kazushi Tatsuishi in the anime version of My Happy Marriage, which also happens to be set in the Taisho Era.

It's hard to see in this picture, but he has a hairpin in his hair!

10/10 he slays

Sebek Zigvolt (SSR)

He looks so dramatic with his gloves and fur collar, but are we surprised? He's a Diasomnia student, after all. I wish they had given him a different hat, though, because it looks almost identical to his dorm uniform.

This one makes me laugh, because he poses like my dad. Not seen in this image is Sebby's neon-green geta, which I think my dad would love (he likes having shoes in unusual colors).

10/10 who needs fireworks on New Year's Eve when you have Sebby?

Vil Schoenheit (SR)

He stole the show.

At first glance, his outfit may bear too heavy a resemblance to the regular Pomefiore uniforms, since they're already inspired by kimono.

With his fascinator hat, netted gloves, and black nail polish, though, Vil adds a sense of mystery and intrigue to his outfit. He looks like he is playing the role of a Taisho-era socialite who poisoned their lover and is now actively avoiding the police.

Either that, or he got divorced from Rook. After all, it looks like he is wearing a furisode (a type of kimono meant for single women) rather than a tomesode (worn by married women), like in his dorm uniform.

11/10. The storytelling potential is limitless.

Round 3: 2023-2024

Trey Clover (SSR)

I love his scarf and hat. His coat looks longer than Deuce's and Cater's, and more like a haori. Overall, it looks like a cozy combination.

Like Cater, he is also wearing a button-down shirt under his kimono, and his vest is green. Heartslabyul is the only dorm that gets a character in this event every year, so it's nice to see that the outfits are personalized for each character.

He looks like he could be someone's uncle, but you know for sure that he'd spoil his nieces and nephews.

10/10 very classy, if he was working at the store and I came to visit, I'd trust him.

Ortho Shroud (SR)

ADORABLE.

Something I've always found interesting about Ignihyde clothing is their use of sharp shapes and geometric patterns, especially in Ortho's case. I wonder how Idia's version of this outfit would look.

Ortho and Idia must've had so much fun creating this outfit together!

Infinity/10 if Ortho were trying to sell me anything, I'd buy it, regardless of whether I actually need it.

Rook Hunt (SSR)

He's wearing RED EYELINER!

His outfit is quite different from Vil's. While Vil is wearing a furisode, which is traditionally worn by women, Rook's outfit seems to have a more traditionally masculine silhouette (of course, this is just my interpretation). This probably means that Epel will get to wear an outfit similar to Rook's next time as well.

The peacock feathers on his red hat is also a nice touch.

His pose and expression remind me of Wen Kexing from the C-drama Word of Honor. They also have similar personalities.

10/10, he looks like he just stepped out of a period drama. I look forward to seeing the fanarts of him with Vil.

Jade Leech (SR)

Jade's card has to be my favorite from this year's lineup. I just love how they translated Octavinelle's suits into kimono, while keeping details such as the purple bow tie.

I'm obsessed with his haori--it looks fluffy. I'd like to buy five.

His pose is so...

Like Trey, he looks like someone's uncle (it must be the fedora). However, unlike Trey, he looks like someone's uncle who may or may not be part of the Yakuza. Instead of giving you money on New Year, you owe HIM.

He also looks like he goes door to door selling products, and is about to sell me what he guarantees is a genuine Toshiba toaster oven and absolutely not an overpriced knockoff that will short-circuit and cause my entire neighborhood to lose electricity.

11/10 I will buy that toaster oven anyway.

silly little theory about Lilia's possible UM

The majority of the cast has revealed or awakened their Unique Magic (UM) by now, and so far we've seen most of the usual types of magic often depicted in fantasy media: transformation magic, mind control, shield spells, curses, elemental magic, and so on and so forth. But I noticed that we still haven't seen any healing-based UMs. Restorative/Healing magic is pretty much a given in fantasy settings, and we know characters can use healing spells during in-game battles, so I feel it's only a matter of time before we get a UM that can heal wounds/reverse damage.

Now I don't know about you all, but when I think of "healing magic" and "Disney", the first thing that comes to mind is Rapunzel's healing incantation from Tangled (and its spinoff TV show, Tangled the Series). And out of all the characters we've yet to see display their UM, I think there's a chance Lilia might end up having a healing type of spell - one that's activated by him singing, just like how Rapunzel uses her powers.

To keep things organized, I'm going to break down this post into two parts, and will begin by talking about some of the similarities between Disney's Tangled and Silver and Lilia.

(Please note: This post contains minor spoilers for Book 7.)

Part 1. Silver and Lilia / Rapunzel and Gothel

Silver has many obvious similarities to Aurora and Prince Philip - and just to Disney princesses, in general - but I've been thinking for a while that there might also be some Rapunzel-esque elements at play in his and Lilia's story.

Similarities in Silver and Rapunzel's backgrounds

For those unfamiliar with the movie, Tangled tells the story of a girl named Rapunzel who has long, golden hair. Whenever she sings an ancient incantation, her hair starts to glow, and anyone who takes hold of the magic strands will be healed of almost any wound or bodily alteration - even aging. Rapunzel lives together with her mother, Gothel, up in a tower hidden deep within the forest. But unbeknownst to the young girl, Gothel had actually kidnapped Rapunzel not long after she was born, and her birth parents are the king and queen of the small kingdom they reside in.

Fearful of her crime possibly coming to light, Gothel forbids Rapunzel from ever leaving home, and it's not until the eve of her 18th birthday that Rapunzel finally descends to the ground for the first time since she was a baby.

Silver, too, is theorized by many to be descended from royalty. Different characters like Vil and Idia have commented on his princely looks, and his kind heart and unwavering sense of justice set him apart from most of the cast. Like Rapunzel and other Disney princesses, he also has an affinity for animals and can often be seen accompanied by blue birds and other small woodland creatures.

Akin to Rapunzel, he was raised deep within the woods of Briar Valley by his adoptive father, Lilia, who claims to have found him abandonded as baby. Instead of going to the school in town, his father homeschooled him at their little cottage, and though we don't know to what extent he was kept at home, he appears to have been pretty isolated growing up.

Rapunzel's one and only friend growing up was a little chameleon named Pascal, and the two of them spent a lot of time together whenever Gothel would leave to restock their supplies or enjoy some time in town. Silver, too, spent most of his time with his animal companions whenever his father would leave to go traveling.

How Rapunzel finds the truth, and possible tie-in with Silver's future origin story reveal

Near the end of the movie, Gothel forces Rapunzel back to the tower, and as she sits all alone once more in her dark room, she contemplates everything that happened on her journey. She thinks about the sun shaped emblem she kept seeing in town all day, how it perfectly resembles the same shape she's been painting on the walls of her bedroom all her life. Hasn't she seen it somewhere before? Somewhere far above her, out of her reach, on the edges of her memory. And she thinks back to the stone mural she saw in the town square, the one of King Frederik and Queen Arianna smiling with pride with their infant daughter in their arms. Don't her green eyes match the baby's eyes? Doesn't her golden hair resemble the baby's shining locks? And she thinks further back, to before she left the tower, when she tried on that shining crown that Eugene had been hiding in his bag. And like a lightning bolt, it hits her: That was her crown. She's the lost princess the entire kingdom has been desperately looking for all this time.

In Chapter 1 of Book 7, Silver comes across an ornate, crown-shaped ring while going through some of the clutter in Lilia's room. Silver murmurs that he feels like he's seen the ring somewhere before, and then a powerful wave of drowsiness strikes him. But perhaps instead of trying to pull him under... it was trying to awaken something in him - trying to dredge up some memory his heart had tucked away so deeply it had only ever felt to the boy like some distant echo of a dream he once had long, long ago.

Mother Gothel and Lilia

Focusing on Gothel and Lilia for a bit, one commonality I noticed pretty early on is how both of them are much older than they appear to be. Although Gothel's exact age has never been confirmed, she's believed to be at least a thousand years old. And Lilia isn't far behind, clocking in at nearly 700. While Gothel relies on the magic imbued in Rapunzel's body to sustain her youthful form, we do not know yet if Lilia simply naturally looks the way he does or if he's doing something to make him appear so young.

Lilia's black hair and garnet eyes always reminded me of Gothel's color scheme, especially when his Tamashina-Mina card was revealed.

It's too soon to say whether or not Silver came to Lilia under nefarious circumstances, or whether Lilia knows who Silver's birth family is and what not, but the fact still stands that Lilia and Gothel have the following points in common:

Both are very secretive about their pasts, even towards their children

Both chose to raise their adoptive children in secluded areas and mostly kept them at home

Both are much older than their appearances belie

Both would often leave their young children home alone to go run errands and explore the world

Both can be very flippant about how their actions affect others (listen, I am a lilia oshi so pls don't @ me. the guy can be pretty damn selfish. refer to endless halloween and like all of book 7 :///)

Both have a black/garnet color scheme

I do understand that many of the points I've made so far also apply to Briar Rose (e.g., she was raised secluded in the woods, didn't know she was from royalty, her caregivers kept secrets from her, etc.), but for the sake of this theory, I'm just focusing on things from a Tangled perspective.

Part 2. Lilia's Unique Magic: A Healing Incantation

Now, I'd like to focus on why I think Lilia's UM will be activated through song. He's mentioned several times how much of a music lover he is, and together with Kalim and Cater he's one of the only remaining members of NRC's Pop Music Club. Kalim even reveals that Lilia is the one who taught him how to play the drums.

We've heard from other students how dreadful Lilia's singing voice is, which appears to be some sort of heavy metal screamo. Lilia himself claims he can sing a crying baby to sleep in just a few seconds, but whether that's due to his great singing prowess or the poor child fainting from shock remains a point of contention.

With his penchant for music and singing, I feel it's entirely within the realm of possibility for Lilia to activate his UM by singing. And again, since we haven't had any healing-based UMs yet, and since there is a pretty renown healing song already in the Disney canon, and with all of Lilia and Silver's similarities with Rapunzel and Gothel, could it be that his UM is a healing song?

With all of that being said, seeing as this is Twisted Wonderland, what if instead of Mother Gothel kidnapping an infant princess and using the child's magic to sustain her own life, we get Lilia using his unique magic to save an abandoned newborn prince, slowly and gradually giving up his own own life force over the years to keep the child from succumbing to his endless slumber. And so the story goes:

One day, somewhere in a faraway land that had been long forgotten by the world and abandoned by time, Lilia stumbles across the strangest kingdom he's ever seen. He can tell by the architecture and the writing on some of the buildings that it must be a human settlement, but it's so quiet - much too quiet to be a place inhabited by people. He wanders through the town, past the baker, who snores quietly into a pillow of hardened dough, past the blacksmith, who's slumped on the ground with a half-finished sword in hand, the hot metal long cooled down. He climbs the tall, stone steps up into the castle, walks through a maze of hallways and rooms before reaching what looks to be the young heir's nursey. He looks inside the bassinet and thinks the child is dead at first - so slow and so shallow are the baby's breathes as it dreams and dreams. He places a wary hand on its chest - just to be sure - and lets out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding as he feels the child's rapid heartbeat thrumming against his palm.

He could save the child, perhaps. His unique magic, a powerful healing incantation renown throughout the Valley, might be able to lift whatever curse had been placed on the residents of this strange kingdom. His curiosity piqued, Lilia pulls his long hair in front of him and blankets the baby with his dark strands.

As the spell comes to an end and the glow starts to fade from his hair, the baby's tinny cry sounds out from the bassinet. Lilia pulls his hair back behind him and staggers as he sits down to catch his breath. The spell takes a considerable toll on his magic reserves, and he'd been warned countless times before by fae much older and wiser than him that overusing his powers would ultimately cost him his life. Waking up the child felt like a punch to the gut, and he closes his eyes with a shiver thinking about trying to rouse all the other sleeping townspeople he'd seen on the way there.

The baby's increasingly louder cries pull Lilia away from his thoughts, and he slowly rises to his feet, keeping one hand on the bassinet to steady himself. "Shit," Lilia hisses under his breath. I'm going to need at least a day's rest before I can use my unique magic again. But I can't just leave him here...

He gingerly picks up the red-faced infant and starts rocking him. Lilia hadn't held a baby since Malleus was born so many centuries ago, and he has to readjust the screaming child in his arms a few times before he remembers how to do it.

"Shh, shh. It's alright, I'm here. You're okay."

It feels like an eternity until the baby finally stills. Deciding he'd had more than enough adventure for one day, thank you, he turns around and retraces his steps back out to the castle entrance, through the town gates, and beyond to the surrounding forest, where he'd left his horse and the rest of his gear. He figures he'll keep the baby with him overnight, and then return tomorrow to try and wake up one of his parents.

But Lilia notices something's wrong as he wakes up to the sunlight filtering through his makeshift tent the next morning. The baby is still there where he left him, swaddled next to him in the only clean shirt Lilia could find in his pack, but he doesn't stir when Lilia gently tries to nudge the child awake. He still doesn't awaken even when Lilia bangs some pots together and screams at him to open his eyes.

Lilia frowns, and starts unbraiding his hair with shaking hands.

"When I sing my healing incantation for him, he wakes up fine enough. He just doesn't stay awake. It's always a matter of time before the curse begins to reactivate again."

As soon as Lilia returned to the Valley, he called on every doctor, elder mage, and experts on ancient curses he could find. Each of them came to inspect the child in turn, and they'd nod their heads and say "I see, I see" as Lilia told them what happened, and then they'd poke and prod at the baby and scribble in their notebooks and poke some more before finally shaking their heads and leaving Lilia with just a weak pat on the back and a whispered "Good luck". After a month of fruitless visits, he decided to put his investigation on hold and just focus on caring for the newborn, whom he'd named Silver. It was then that Malleus finally found an opportunity to sneak away from the castle to come visit, and he listened with a frown as Lilia recounted the tale.

Quietly, Malleus replies, "I see. So that means... You'd need to keep using your unique magic on him over and over again to keep the curse at bay. Correct?"

Lilia clears his throat before answering. "Correct."

Malleus's pinched face says Are you really sure about this?, but he remains silent as he watches Lilia rock the sleeping child in his arms. Lilia is thankful for his young charge's apprehension - he doesn't think he could find an answer if Malleus asked for one.

And yet - night after night, without a moment's hesitation, Lilia tucks his long, long hair into the child's tiny hand, and the words start spilling out of his mouth - always slow at first, but steady - flowing faster as he closes his eyes and accepts that there's no turning back from what he's done.

And he sings:

🎃 Behind the scenes Pt.1

Even though there are other divisions and some participants which may not be mentioned above, they’re all invited and have their own parts in this event as well. For examples;

Himari Asami, Hiroshi Sakura, and Suzuran Minazuki (who was on the request of her non-blood-related cousin) were in charge of designing and making costumes with the assistance of three fashion interns; Aimi Miyazaki, Alice Shiroka, and Umi Kobayashi.

Akira Arai, Natsume Kurome, Kururi Yamamura and Queen Card’s team were noted to took part in making props. By the way, Kureha Koizumi was anticipated to participate in this as well but she unexpectedly showed up in the opening show —much to everyone’s surprise.

Reiaki Suzubayashi and Emiko Akaibara showed to work together on helping the cast prepare themselves before entering the stage.

Chiyuri Seiguni was tasked to be the main operator of most special effects on stage via the brief from the real technician, Raiden Otoha since this one had to take his part in the 7th show.

Aiko Mayeda was the D.J. and he got the party started! The 86 band and other musical units associated with other division members were also joined in to provide music for some songs.

Most choreography throughout the shows were designed and coached by Yeong Hajoon, Haruto Morikawa, and Kaede Iwasawa.

The representative of Snowflake Sentinel News, Yoichi Shujo; and the head of a certain publishing-house, Nellie Yukimura were assigned to deliver the details of this event. Please expect more live reports and some tidbits behind the scenes from them.

The foods and drinks in this event were all supplied by the alliance between Luis Kōkyū, Rashaad Young, Harumatsuya shop, and Rikiya farm.

The main sponsors of the previous event are Sigma Inc., Toi Pharmaceutical, and E.L. Medical Co. Therefore, this time it’s the turn of Wonder⇓anD Sound Systems, Arakawa Tech Industries, and the concert venue was organized by the entertainment agency “Kairiku Production” with the cooperation of Queen Card’s league.

For some reason, a certain division was banned from participating —to be specific, it’s Ginza Division. However, Eiji Noguchi and his family were secretly invited because his children wanted to come.

At first Fusao Ise and Queen card were honored to be the MCs (or the hosts) of this event but because the latter had to ‘prepare’ for her own part in the 11th show, Reika Aichi was surprisingly nominated to take over this role once again alongside Fusao.

At the beginning, all the cast were seen wearing some kind of masquerade mask before their first show started.

Though not every division was present in the 3rd show, there were flags with symbols of each team ever participated in the D.R.B. showing on stage.

For whatever reason, Aranai Norikoru was the one who delivered the line “Toki wo (Shout)!” before the chorus “Kakumei wa matte (The revolution has succeeded)!” was sung by all divisions. Well, someone in the cast seemed visibly displeased with how this turned out.

Despite the 6th show being performed by Yuuya Kanata and Yorii Sakuma, the one who advised them on the lyrics was their senior musician, Ren Nakashima, and the music provider for this show was none other than the 86 Band

Before two boys of the 6th show left the stage, the camera caught both Yuuya and Yorii high-fiving Ren who was up for the next show…

✨️Presenting Angelo✨️

Very happy with how he turned out! I took a few artistic liberties for funsies, but it doesn't make his design less good. His og is SUPER good and kudos to the character designers for it.

Apparently, from his bio in the game, I believe it's implied that he didn't ALWAYS look like this. In fact, he might've just been regular ol' cupid! How'd he turn into this, then? 🤔

Well, to make a long story short. In the Swamp of Love Menu song (the one with lyrics). There are multiple lines referring to how the singer "...fell down from the sky above..." and this is "...where they want to be...". They also sing about how they were "...blind and now could see...". I think this might be referring to Angelo in some way. Angelo's name doesn't seem to have anything to do with mosquitoes anyways for I think it's definitely a nod to angels. Maybe as some sort of rebellion, Angelo chose to give up his role as Cupid and become this. I say he probably did it to separate himself from his past.

Just something I thought, though. What do you guys think?

I'D WATCH AND COULD NOT SAVE HER carlos de vil x gn!vk!reader ➤ summary: It's easy to feel hopeless on the Isle. Luckily you're not truly alone, not when Carlos is always there for you. ➤ notes: hurt/comfort. its been ages since i read the first isle of the lost book so some things that arent from the movies may be inaccurate, also carlos might be a bit ooc? this is my first time writing for him so it may take me a bit to get him right, but i'm trying my best!! ➤ warnings: brief mentions of death, just all around a bit sad at the start but it gets more fluffy/comforty

"We're going to die here."

The tiles beneath you are cold; the two of you wrapped in the same thin blanket in an attempt to ward off the unrelenting freezing temperature. You always quip that the overwhelming coldness of Cruella De Vil's mansion's both atmosphere and literal structure, are reflective of the cold dark pit that is it's owner's heart. It's said as a joke, but deep down you believe it.

Carlos doesn't reply, you can't see his reaction from where your head rests on your shoulder and his head rests atop yours, but the silence of the 'living room' being penetrated only by the sounds of your breath and his at least tells you he's still alive.

"We were born on the Isle," You continue, "We're going to grow up here, live here for the rest of our lives, and then die here. And no-one's going to care."

"We don't... know that," Carlos says quietly, he knows this isn't an argument, he knows you just feel so tired, but he doesn't want to let you keep talking so miserably, not when — to him at least — there is still hope.

You shuffle closer to him, desperately trying to avoid the cold still.

"But we do, we can try to pretend things might change, but they won't. We're stuck here, Carlos. Alone."

Your voice is emptier than before, hollow like you've truly given up hope — which you have. Carlos can't stomach just how defeated you sound, how defeated you are, the pained sound of your voice just beside him making him wish he could get you out of here — somewhere safe, somewhere clean, somewhere warm — with the snap of a finger.

Instead, the two of you remain freezing in the scraps of what once upon a time could have been a grand spectacle of a building, but now stands on it's last legs as one just tries to not get pummelled by loose debris falling from the ceiling.

Carlos can't save you, he can't even save himself — from the Isle and everything bad about your lives — but he'll be damned if he doesn't at least try.

"You're not..." He attempts softly, pausing and trying not to mess up.

You untangle yourself from him at this, sides still glued together desperately clinging for warmth, but your head now free to peer up at Carlos with a questioning look.

He avoids eye contact at this, but forces himself to continue.

"Alone, I mean," At his words, it's like the Isle is nothing of importance anymore, like it's just him and you in a small bubble in-between time, it's warm.

"You're not alone, because I'm here. A- And I care, about you, I care a lot. We- we might die here, but I'm going to keep trying, I really think we could get out of here.."

Your hand meets his silently, a reluctant smile slowly sneaking it's way onto your face.

Carlos can't help but return your smile ever-so-slightly without even realising.

A moment passes and his head meets your shoulder this time, quietly moving closer to you again as you're reminded of just how cold it still is. Your head rests atop his, where you're sat suddenly feeling warmer than before, safer than before. Because of Carlos.

Your heart can't help but beat a little faster at the thought of his near-promise, leaving the Isle is one thing, but escaping with him sounds too good to be true. And for once? You actually let yourself think that it's possible, it feels possible, the chance feels real, you trust it. You trust Carlos.

"I believe you," You say softly, the simple three words carrying a weight you don't think you'll ever be able to fully express in any other way, but he understands.

"And I care about you too, Carlos. I care about you a lot."

Grandma MC: She reminds me so much of my Eve, so I'm thinking of naming her Lily.

The anaconda, Lily: *seems to like her new name, hisses and nuzzles her head against Granny's cheek*

Grandma MC: *chuckles*

Vil: *smiles*

Ruggie: That freaking snake! She only likes Jamil!

Jamil: Heh.

Kalim: I think she likes me too! *grins*

Ace: Dude, she literally slapped you on the face when Granny wasn't looking.

Leona: That snake's already acting like she's the favorite granddaughter.

Jamil: Well, I mean. She's technically the only granddaughter.

Ruggie: You're siding with her because she likes you!

AHHH IM SO PROUD OF MORRIGAN!!

This was a character I was debating on posting but I love how this came out so imma post them! I used Lilia’s sprite as a base and lengthened his pants, I really liked the details on his uniform pants but didn’t like the length on Morrigan.

Some general information on Morrigan;

They are half fae, half human. It’s belived their mother was a Raven fae.

I kind of wanted to play into that by mimicking the holographic nature of Raven/crow feathers. It’s a little hard to see but instead of making the hair highlights just blue or something, I tried to make it a blue/purple/teal gradient!

Morrigan is also wearing Raven feather earrings, their hair just covers them 🤧

Morrigan is the twisted version of Morgan Le Fay /Morgana from both Sofia the First and Arthurian Legend

Morrigan is genderfluid and has no preference of pronouns given they will change their physical form whenever they want

Originally their name was just Morgan/Morgana, but I didn’t want to just reuse the exact name. When I was looking into similar names I saw that researchers have tried to link The Morrigan and Morgana. Ngl I like the spelling of Morrigan, it looks more magical to me

Morrigan was born in the Kingdom of Swords but was cast out of their kingdom when they were little alongside their younger brother Archer (my Arthur inspired oc) when their uncle usurped the throne.

Morrigan and Archer were separated when they were being sent out of the kingdom. Morrigan would later be found and cared for by Crowley. Archer would be found by Ambrose but is generally looked after by a friend of Ambrose’s

Morrigan’s birth name is Morrigan Caliburnus, though they go by “Crowley” because they were raised by Crowley

Because the siblings were so young, they didn’t know of the other’s existence until Archer began attending RSA.

Morrigan ignored Crowley for two months after finding out about Archer because they were upset that Crowley and Ambrose hid this from them.

Morrigan said they were over the situation pretty early on, but wanted to bully Crowley a little.

Because Crowley seems to love vacationing, I imagine him and Morrigan traveled a lot when Morrigan was young.

Due to this, Morrigan didn’t watch a lot of tv as a kid. They were too busy exploring the towns and cities they would visit.

Morrigan befriended Vil when they were kids. Like Jack, Morrigan didn’t know Vil was a child actor when they met because they didn’t watch TV

When Vil and Morrigan were kids he often mistook Morrigan for a girl because of their more feminine appearance. B/c Morrigan doesn’t take to much stock in how they are viewed gender wise, they never corrected Vil.

Morrigan likes to tease Vil because when they met again at NRC, when Morrigan was a freshman, Vil didn’t recognize them right away.

Morrigan also befriended Silver when they were kids. They had taken one of Crowley’s magic mirrors and traveled to Briar Valley because they were bored.

They ended up meeting Malleus and the others through Silver.

Back then Morrigan thought Malleus and Sebek were “weird” but said that’s what made them interesting to be around.

Morrigan was gifted a small magic mirror by Crowley when they were 16. It was mainly so that Morrigan would stop stealing his mirrors.

The mirror is a small handheld one, think Eve’s mirror from the Descendants movies. The only difference is that Morrigan’s can create portals to places in Twisted Wonderland

Morrigan is in the same class as Harry and Riddle, though didn’t really befriend/interact with them until after Riddle’s overblot

Morrigan is sometimes called lazy because they often don’t like attending classes. In reality they have a really odd sleep schedule and will sometimes stay up for hours exploring campus or reading up on ancient relics leaving them exhausted.

The only reason Morrigan regularly goes to classes even when tired is because Crowley would likely throw a fit if they didn’t.

Morrigan is skilled in magic across the board (they are in Daisomnia after all) but excels in ancient curses. They also love to study ancient relics and artifacts.

Like Malleus, Morrigan founded the “Study of ancient relics” club, though is currently the only member. The activities of the club are pretty self explanatory.

Morrigan is often seen as an intimidating figure like most Daisomnia students. Tack on their relation to Crowley and most stead clear of them.

Because they often wander around campus alone and like to look into ancient relics/spells/artifacts/etc a lot of students who don’t know Morrigan are put off or creeped out by them

However, to those who know them, Morrigan is a friendly and generally good natured person. They have a mischievous and sarcastic personality and are known to tease people they’re close with. It’s kind of like their love language in a way.

They’re pretty charismatic and seem to be friendly to most people they meet when they actually socialise. They enjoy good gossip and can usually be seen gossiping with Rook, and occasionally Harry.

Overall Morrigan is just vibing most of the time lol. They’re just goin with the flow for the most part

Morrigan does, however, have quite a temper and can hold grudges (or appear to hold grudges) for a long time. Their anger usually is rooted in worry for their friends and loved ones; they can be quite protective.

Like I mentioned earlier, they became quite upset when they found out Crowley was hiding the truth about their past/family.

They even ignored Crowley for two months, and while they don’t necessarily hold a grudge anymore they are still a little bitter about it.

Morrigan also seems to hold some animosity or disinterest towards Neige LaBanche, though it seems to be rooted more out of worrie for Vil than anything Neige actually did.

Morrigan has also shown some sense of vanity. While they don’t necessarily care how people view them in regard to gender, they still take pride in their appearance. I like to think this is a trait a lot of Raven fae share to some degree.

One of their pet peeves is when people touch their hair without asking, especially if it’s Crowley

I think that’s all for now. I had something else I wanted to add but I can’t remember what it is. I’m sure it’ll come to me at some point.

I was wondering if you can tell me about the mess au gaaons please sadly there's not a lot of Gannon on here so I want to know more about the mess au Gannon's like how how do they feel about be yandere for the reader and how they feel about the reader beIN a victim to the link's. And not only that how did they feel about the reader beIN so sick like will their reactions and emotions when they are taking care of her. If that's okay with you.

Ganon doesn't seemed to be played around with in Linked Universe other than mentions and such (unless there's fanfics, I don't read as much as I used to) is there, anon? I love writing for the Dadons and creating personalities based on their potential hero selves.

Tide (Vil! Wind's Ganon) fills the most pity about it all. Player's so young, so afraid and they had to go through so much at the hands of the (not one, but two) Chains. Tide would lowkey becomes their therapist in an attempt to help bring back their old self. Also, sick Player? Tide is definitely attentive grandad, he's got them sleeping in his lap while feeding and hydrating them.

Nature (Vil! Wild's Ganon) also feels a large amount of pity for Player, but instead of taking the therapist route he helps them try to overcome the horrors of their past and he does that by dragging them to his crazy stunts- a crazy older brother if you will. When it comes to sick Player he's usually incorporating health potions into his food in hopes it helps them out.

Eve (Vil! Twilight's Ganon) is a little more interested in what exactly the two Chains want them for. He understands the villains, after all what they're destined isn't exactly favorable so he's not surprised they're looking for ways around their deaths but the yanderes? Why obsess? Player seems pretty average to him? (Player 💀💀) but he's there to listen to their vents if need be. He's also the one more knowledgeable about illnesses so he's a second hand on taking care of Player

Famine (Vil! Hyrule's Ganon) felt more anger towards himself that his Link (Conquest) was able to cause such everlasting damage to such a stubborn but kind person- Famine believed he should have done more to stop Conquest. Should have found another way to prevent something he had no idea would happen and thus becomes fiercely protective of Player from that fact. when Player's sick he's a little panicked because with his age he's become pretty rough so he worries he'd only cause Player more harm, but he comes to relax and help them out :))

Oracle (Vil! Legend's Ganon) similar to Famine believes that Player's trauma is a result of his own negligence when taking care of his Link (Myth) but also understands that while he may feel this way it's not his fault- after all he had no idea this would happen, how could have he? But he confides in Player about his own problems and apologies and Player is definitely the one who ends up comforting him (he's a little insecure about it all). With sick Player, he makes sure to keep them comfortable and is probably the one to clean up the messes they may make.

Soldier/Solly (Vil! Warriors' Ganon) would straight up tell Player that he's happy to kill them all if they would feel safer that way, he's especially keen on this after seeing Player's trauma in their everyday routine. He's disappointed that he wasn't able to stop such catastrophes from happening but he's happy to amend them- keeping that happy go lucky uncle persona for Player the entire time. Solly becomes more serious around sick Player but he's happy to keep them entertained, talking calmer compared to his usual boisterous voice.

Betzalel (Vil! Four's Ganon) is constipated so he doesn't know to express sympathy without it sounding like scrutiny about how they should have either killed them all in their sleep, manipulated them back, etc, etc. his original purpose was to be to stop the cycle by ending Hylia and the reincarnated Hero so he's a bit confused on what he should say- so instead he would just know Player that he's there for them with a slight pat to their head. He's the type to stand awkwardly around a sick Player and has to be instructed on what to do.

King (Vil! Time's Ganon) is also constipated like Betzalel but unlike his predecessor he would be the type to interrupt and give his two cents "Why didn't you choke them?" "Poison would have done the job." "How could you allow such disrespect-" Until he realises Player's tearing up then apologise (he's angry that he wasn't able to stop the cycle in his first reincarnation (As Betzalel), meeting the others and finding out he himself couldn't stop it either and as a result he's become more bitter, especially with his added perfectionism) He'd offer to teach them how to better themself for combat alongside Solly, but doesn't treat them like a doll- in fact he's harsher especially because they're physically and mentally weaker than him so they have to work more for it. Once again, awkward around sick Player but his perfectionism forces him to become a know it all until Tide threatens to beat him with Ghirahim.

Pestilence (Vil! Koridai's Ganon) is a bit of a loon, he likes to speak in rhyme and tries to metaphoricalise almost everything he says, but Player can understand that he's telling them that none of what they went through is there fault and that they're safe now. He's more interested on making sure they heal and learn to cope with everything they've had to go through. He takes care of sick Player very well, probably recites some of his poems to them to help them sleep.

Power (Vil! Courage's Ganon) is a bit of an arsehole and similar to King in his aspect of scrutinizing their every word, decision, etc. when it came to the Chains then acts surprised when Player gets angry/upset over it. Though he's quick to say how they still got out even after all their failures and in this roundabout way they realise that he's actually praising them on actually getting away from such a horrible situation (and bro will not apologise that shit isn't in his vocabulary) If he sees sick Player he gags, if they're brought near him he will in fact scream but at the end of the day he still holds them like a baby while they sleep off their illness because they're one of his favourite servants (as yes he does call them that 💀💀💀)
