Such Happy Campers is an interactive horror/romance novel made in Choicescript.

status: demo consists of three chapters + prologue, sitting at 64.385 words [excl. commands]

You are an employee of the Cloverleaf program. Your job is to organize and oversee their seasonal vacation for kids from low-income backgrounds and troubled homes. This summer, said vacation will be hosted at the rustic Camp Solace, a cabin campsite situated right next to the picturesque Lake Solace and flanked by acres of woodland.

Camp Solace is idyllic, calm and far removed from the bustle of civilization.

V̵̲̂e̶̝͆ŕ̸͍y̷͎̏ ̷͚̎f̵͈̀ā̸̦r̵̀͜ ̸͓͘r̴̜̂e̴͉̕m̵̺̎o̷̢̓v̶̒͜è̴̘d̴̳̐ ̴̀͜i̵̡͊ñ̷̘d̸̼̀e̷̪̽ȇ̵̯d̴̜͒.̷̰̚

Romanceable characters

Here are some personal preferences about the romanceable characters in Scarlet Hollow. Feel free to comment your own thoughts, I’d love to know!

(For reference, I’m considering romanceable characters: Stella, Avery, Kaneeka, Oscar, Reese, Dr. Kelly and Wayne. Maybe they’ll add more in the future, but these answers only take into account what has happened in the game so far).

Most physically attractive: Avery.

Least physically attractive: Wayne/Reese. To clarify, I should make a distinction between Wayne’s concept and practical reality. I do like his design; he’s portrayed as a strong man and his covered face makes him mysterious hot. But we know that he’s all goopy and possibly dead and decomposing, so he’s the least attractive for me. If we only consider the design, then I’d say Reese.

Most interesting: Wayne. In a “what the fuck is going on – this provides a new understanding of the fabric of reality” kind of way.

Least interesting: Oscar.

Favorite style: Avery.

Least favorite style: Oscar.

Least likely to pick their route: Dr. Kelly.
