my heart goes out to you if you're a disabled person who has a complicated or negative relationship with sleep. if you need to sleep a lot but can't due to life circumstances, or sleeping extra causing other symptoms to flare up. if you can't sleep enough due to pain, or nightmares, or psychosis, or bipolar, or depression. if you sleep way too much and find it hard to stay awake. if you can't fall or stay asleep. if you need medication in order to be able to sleep. if you don't feel rested from sleep. if you wake up a lot in the night. if you have bladder or bowel accidents while asleep. if you twitch or convulse or move too or get injured in your sleep. if you can't control your sleep schedule no matter what. if you can't sleep during "normal" sleeping hours. if you can't sleep for 8+ hours straight but can sleep for shorter amounts of time. if sleep is what you need but for one reason or another you just can't or refuse to do it.
i care about you. your disabilities deserve to be seen and acknowledged

I think the funniest thing about being this far in late stage DID recovery is that a lot of the people that tend to be fake claimers would probably be really mad cause ya know, after SEVERAL years of therapy to treat my DID
I do have DID / present with parts when its convenient and DON'T have DID / present with parts when its inconvenient.
Yes I do pick and choose when I express "symptoms".
Its a really cool part of this thing called recovery, symptom management, and reclaiming of your identity and self.
No I don't really listen to rap, Chunn does HOWEVER if you try to grill me on not listening to rap I ABSOLUTELY do listen to rap and I will suddenly be a singlet and have access to the full repertoire of music Chunn listens to solely so I can ruin your grill session.

TLDR: dont sweat fakeclaimers or "looking fake" cause looking fake and quality recovery tend to look a lot alike and it isnt worth your recovery progress to appeal to people online with nothing better to do
I love how botw / totk and wind waker both use cell shading, it's so cool and it shows how versatile it can be. Wind waker is more cartoony with less details and bigger areas of a single color for the shading, but in botw / totk it's a lot more detailed. You can really see it in link's hair (left), it's just so interesting to me i love it sm :3
I also love how in ww they put Link's facial features over his hair, ww link is the most expressive one we've gotten so far and it really makes it more noticeable and charming

we've been having some of our system members write letters to our therapist so she can start to get acquainted with them! i am so proud of us for opening up to her :)
Considering strictly traumagenic/disordered plurality, I feel a lot of young systems are trapped in toxic cycles, whether they're stuck living with abusers or don't have the support they need to recover. When you do have that support and start crawling out of the hole caused by trauma, you start appreciating plurality a lot more - because in these cases that's often what saved you+ from descending into darker depths.
That's of course reductive when considering untreated persecutor alters and ongoing adult trauma, but at least for us there was a moment of "oh, this is actually a good thing". Do we still have stressful cycles of rapid switching, flashbacks, triggers that send us spiraling? Sure, but we've learned how to work together to get through that and recover each time it happens, and it's been happening less and less.
Just your daily reminder that DID and OSDD can only develop from trauma, even if a genetic propensity to dissociation is a factor. It's a factor, not the entire cause. Your system developed from trauma and that trauma is valid.
seeing people my age talk about how scared they are of memory loss, which they only associate with old age, is so surreal to see as a 24 year old who has actively experienced memory loss for a long time now
there are causes for memory loss besides dementia and alzheimer’s, i hope y’all know that. dissociative disorders, trauma, brain injuries, thyroid problems, even just stress and lack of sleep can fuck up your ability to store, process, and access memory. and that’s just a few of the many causes i can think of off the top of my head right now.
please stop treating disabled people like some scary “other” that you might become only in the distant, decades-away future. we are your age, too. you may become one of us sooner than you know. stop acting like memory loss marks the end of a life, when so many of us have so much living left to do!
