I kinda looked up 80s music to know what was actually in the 80s but honestly, I don't think many songs can beat a classic Eye of the Tiger
I'd probably say Careless Whisper if my mom didn't have it as one of the 12 songs she listens to for the past like decade

I feel scammed by myself. I went dor my Saturday gym trip expecting a meditative chill 3 mile run and the Ray part of my brain was like "Oh we should be well in the clear for working on upper body muscles again we should start returning to having that in our routine" and yeah thats right sure we can "start easy" and drop in 15 push ups between every ten minutes of running
Oh but just cause we want to keep our info we have to run and drop to do the oush ups then run back and hop on the machine before it thinks we are gone
And also we forgot to increase the incline and resistance
And you know, it kills the point if we just go slowly, we might as well do real cardio and heart training if we are doing intervals of cardio and muscular so lets just keep a HR of 175-180 and lets not skim on speed so lets maintain a speed of a 10-11 minute mile
And lets do like two sets of that back to back and then a cool down where we maintain a HR of 145-150 for 10 minutes and close with 20 push ups as a nice finale and-
I THOUGHT WE WERE JUST GONNA START SLOWLY AND INSERT IT INTO OHR USUAL RUN HOW DID WE END UP INCREASING THE CARDIO AND ADDING MUSCULAR WORKOUT AND ADDING TIME PRESSURE WHAT
(tho it was fun ngl, perks of having Coach and Mr Gym Nut as literally you, sincerely the Couch Potato Due To Fixation part of the brain)

Most "Mentally Ill"™ Episode You've Had
This is meant to be kinda "funny in hindsight" kind of threads and just to have some light hearted laughs about the kinda funny in hindsight mental health episodes, breakdowns, etc that you've had
Cause personally, I think I had a new funny peak textbook "uber mentally ill" episode a week ago
Where I was having like, literally two hours of panic attacks / overload meltdown and for the entire two hours plus my brain CONSTANTLY had the song "the itsy bitsy spider" with the video playing the WHOLE time in my inner eye
Full on panic attack and half of my brain is doing that while the whole other half is DEDICATED to this
I felt like I had officially lost my marbles at that point /hj
In hindsight and even a little in the moment though, the funny combination of what my brain was doing did kinda make it easier to cope ngl

Recovering good / neutral / childhood memories tends to happen randomly these days as I go about just simply living and I was spending some time meditating since I'm still in "enduring work that is mentally not good for me out of respect to the company" and on day 4/5 of my second to last week (last week is shorter)
And I just remembered by dad used to regularly and reliably spend like the first 15 or so minutes of his day meditating and doing head / neck stretches and I'm like damn huh.
