Everyone always talks about how Robin and Will should meet and connect in season 5, and yes I definitely agree, but—
Imagine her meeting Mike. Her seeing his closed off feelings. Her seeing the way he looks at Will. Her seeing how defensive he gets at the mere idea of him being intimate with a man, even if it wasn’t intended to be romantic (“we’re friends, we’re friends!”). She seems him. Really sees him. She knows what it was like to be young and in denial. In fact, she was about his age when she finally started to connect the rainbow colored dots, and things would have been a hell of a lot easier if she had someone to talk to it about.
So she gets close to him. Or at least, she tries to— Mike is a bit suspicious of her constantly running up to him or inserting herself into his conversations (and well, Robin isn’t the best at talking to people). But eventually, Mike warms up to her a little. He starts talking to her about dnd and even vecna, and if Robin were being optimistic, she’d say they’re friends. After awhile Robin starts dropping hints about her sexuality. (“Oh my god, Phoebe Kates is so hot, don’t you think?” - “I guess so— wait, you think Phoebe Kates is hot?” - “Hell yeah, are you kidding?!) Though it’s the 80s, she’s not scared. She’s talking to someone like her after all, even if he doesn’t know it yet.
But Mike doesn’t seem to be getting it. So she tells him about her crush on Vickie. At first he’s confused and asks her if Vickie is short for Victor or something like that, she tells him no. Vickie is the cute redhead that helps make the sandwiches. He’s shocked to say the least. He stands there wide eyed and mouth agape for about two minutes. Robin wonders if he’s going to run away or make some sort of “you’re going to hell” retort (she wouldn’t blame him for it, she went through that phase in elementary school). But he just… starts talking. Asking questions. Normal questions, like “how’d you guys meet?” or “are you gonna ask her out?” Robin is surprised about how casual he’s being. She had fully prepared herself for a meltdown or for him to not speak to her for weeks, but he just acted… normal. Maybe that’s what he wanted to do. To pretend, even just for a second, that being gay wasn’t such a bad thing. That it wasn’t satanic or disgusting or the cause of diseases, it was just normal. That he’s normal.
Weeks go by as the group tries to figure out how to defeat vecna, once and for all. Robin continues to tell Mike about Vickie, eventually telling him how they’re now happily dating (which she could tell Mike tried his best to not smile at). Mike doesn’t tell her about himself though, and she doesn’t expect him to. The road to self acceptance is long and rocky, with lots of bumps and turns on the way— and sometimes you never reach the end of it, though you hope with all your heart you do. Robin just wants him to know that being himself is okay, and that if he ever needs her, she’s right here.
It was a cold and rainy afternoon when Mike found Robin in the shed, visibly sweaty and conflicted. He looks left and right about fifty times before he mutters, barely above a whisper:
“Hey Robin?”
“Hm?”
“How did you know you were… different?”
Robin simply smiles, the warmest she possibly could, and tells him to sit down.

What I love about Ghosts is how much of a slow burn the enemies to found family is. Yes there's a pretty big leap from "tried to kill her" to "forced allies of convenience" in the first two episodes, there needs to be to set up the premise, but after that there's such a gradual build up to a real cosy feel in the group.
It would have been so easy to have this dynamic reach its peak by the end of S1. There's a few soft moments like Alison talking to Pat's family and the Friends sofa bit outside but only after Pat explains to her how important the moonah ritual is to Robin. But it's not enough to make them that close yet and in the finale the ghosts mostly want Alison to stay for their own convenience, except Kitty and Thomas, with Fanny only just beginning to accept Alison is part of her bloodline. Captain still wants them gone but concedes to help them stay more for the others. Alison is touched by the gesture of the jewel but still admits that it's a nightmare living with them and wants to leave - and only stays because Captain screws her over via manipulating Kitty.
S2 starts with her waking up and sighing about how she's still "living the dream" (aka her nightmare). However, so we're not quite on the same page as last season, she has now established a routine with the ghosts and knows what each of them need. There's a feeling of comfort beginning to creep its way in, even if they still annoy her. And they're still not willing to help her at the drop of a hat, especially Julian unless he can get something in return, and some will go as far as to work against her when she's trying to make the house look haunted. Had the Grey Lady episode took place in S5 you know they would have all jumped at the chance to help Alison whatever she asked. But this series has a lot more episode focused on Alison connecting with the group like learning about how Thomas died and the Captain's past and Kitty's kinda sad childhood, so it feels natural and heartwarming when they all come together to help protect the house from burglars for her and she appreciates out loud how they're not as selfish as when she first came there. And they all do what they can to help with the wedding, partly for it to be a success for Alison but also just to help. Honestly on my first watch, with the snow and everything, I thought that was the Christmas special! So it lead in nicely to the actual one. Because the gang are finally at the stage where Alison would be comfortable spending Christmas with them and they all come together to sing with her to make her happy, even Robin who thinks Christmas is just a recent fad.
Series 3 is where that leap from friends to family happens and is contrasted with Alison thinking she's found a long lost blood relative, which she confesses is something she's wanted as she never had a lot of family around her. I like that they didn't have Lucy be her actual sister that turned out to be a villain, as we already have an abusive sister with Eleanor, but it still serves as a parallel between her and Kitty to make Alison realise that she has found a sister, and more. Robin saying "welcome home" and the look on Alison's face is enough to let us know this is no longer just a project for her with some annoying pests to deal with. And the final shot of them all "eating" together is one of my favorites.
The show could have easily ended there if it wanted to. Or it could have gone on another two seasons with everything being perfect and wholesome. But it doesn't; because families are not perfect. We still have an episode centered around the ghosts trying to apologise for upsetting Alison, much like a bunch of kids with an overworked mother, and they want to make it up to her not for their benefits but because of what she means to them. Episode 2 also has Alison missing feeling needed by the ghosts when they're busy doing their own thing and realising she just wants to spend time with them, even if it's just something as simple as a walk with Robin. And when Mary passes on, Alison is absolutely devastated and puts aside her work duties to prioritise helping the other ghosts grieve. Then there's her joining (evil) forces with Julian to take on Barclay together. And the series ends with Robin, who began the show just enjoying scaring the shit out of Alison for the lulz, confronting his ten thousand years old ptsd and taking a bolt of lightning to save her husband.
That's four years of development. Compare this to the CBS version where they all click together a lot faster and we don't see nearly as much of Sam losing her temper with the ghosts, and plots always seem to be wrapped up so much quicker (the fact there was no apology from Thor for possessing her still irks me). This isn't necessarily a knock against the American version, their episodes are ten minutes shorter because of ads, and it's more of a style choice as well as Sam just being a far more patient character than Alison. I know a lot of people prefer that the show begins a lot more wholesome to start with so it's down to taste. For me the heartwarming moments mean so much more when they've been earned over a lot of struggle.
Take the climax of Series 5. It's one of the few moments of TV that have made me gasp out loud. I genuinely forgot that we never saw Alison find out Julian pushed her. I guess I assumed she found out off screen or worked it out when she realised Julian's ghost power. But it really was the perfect point for her to find out; because had it happened any earlier then she wouldn't have hesitated to leave with no amount of speech able to change her mind, and likewise Julian wouldn't have had anything to say to her. But as someone else pointed out, it's much more difficult to forgive someone you love for doing something truly evil, even if at the time you were less than strangers. It's a crushing betrayal for Alison to find out that someone she thought as family once tried to kill her but also that the rest of them kept it secret. There's no obligation or pressure for her to forgive them; but she chooses to, because it's been earned over more than three years. And to parallel the S1 finale, the other ghosts are desperate for her to stay (including Cap this time), no longer for their own convenience but just because they love her.
And now we wait in terror for the Christmas episode to rip all of it to pieces. 🥺

Straw Hats x Fem Gardener S/O platonic fluff HCs! The main reason I request this? FLOWER CROWNS! But also, S/O is good at growing crops and flowers, so she must have a greenhouse on deck to grow fruits, tangerines, vegetables, any medicinal herbs, flowers, anything! So helpful and sweet! And also, FLOWER CROWNS!
Tumblr media
★ WITH A FEM GARDENER CREWMATE! headcanons ★
── featuring. the strawhats.
── cw. f!reader. no pronouns used. platonic. very brief mention of homesickness. not proofread.
── notepad. sigh i love you platonic and domestic hcs of the strawhats. you complete me <333
Tumblr media
never in all of your years did you think you would find yourself gardening on the sea with a group who had come like family to you, a group you couldn't see yourself living without
building your new greenhouse on the deck was a group effort because it was supposed to be a surprise for you
you loved being at sea with the strawhats, you wouldn't trade it for the world. but it didn't stop you from missing home
a spring island somewhere out there, where the love and life are just as plentiful as the beautiful green that covers it
to bring a piece of your home back to you, the strawhats all chip to help make you a greenhouse where you continue your gardening while on the sea. something you never thought you could do
you somehow didn't find out about what they were planning, despite a few of your crewmates being blabbermouths.
after a girl's day in the island port town, you landed on a few days ago with nami and robin, you finally see it.
"surprise!" your crewmates, your family, jumps out all covered in wood chips and paint of all colors. some were covered in more paint than others. you swore your captain was wearing a yellow shirt that day, but with the amount of blue on it, it may as well have been blue.
you love your greenhouse! well, it wasn't just your greenhouse anymore. it was another place for you and your crewmates to spend time together.
it's the perfect place to have early lunches on sunny days and a late dinner on calm and cool nights under warm string lights.
your extensive knowledge of plants and your natural green thumb make you a versatile member of the crew.
on one end of your greenhouse, you were growing medical herbs for chopper's research and medicines. on another side, you made a special place for nami's tangerine trees you helped her take great care of.
on another corner were many vegetables for sanji's amazing dishes. and close by were the sweetest fruits in all of the grand line that would sometimes go missing the next morning
which is why you have decided to start locking up the greenhouse at night.
but who can forget, the flower crowns !!
a small gesture that would have a lasting impact on each of them, all with their own flower that you believed best represented them based on the flowers' meanings and your crew's personalities.
luffy puts his crown around his hat. when the flowers start to die and lose their color, he will become sad and ask you to make another one for him to replace it.
zoro was confused as to what exactly you wanted him to do with it until you motioned for him to put it on his head. it's uhhh...definitely not for him. but you're like a sister to him so if you flash puppy eyes, he'll wear it
sanji finds the crown you made for him adorable. he finds you even more charming for going out of your way to make it for him. he doesn't deserve such gifts from you but he is happy to wear them to make you happy. he preserves them so he can hold onto them forever.
robin definitely helps you make the flower crowns with all those extra pairs of hands that she has. like sanji, robin preserves the flower crowns that you give her. she will take a piece of them and put them in resin to make homemade jewelry from.
jinbei is your favorite to make flower crowns for. with all of his long beautiful hair, you are constantly putting big, colorful flowers in his hair because he sits there and just lets you do it. sometimes he'll even put flowers in your hair. flower pals !!
brook, like jinbei, enjoys it when you put flower crowns and stick flowers in his hair over cups of tea.
usopp pretends that he doesn't want one, but he secretly does. so after he politely declines and you (pretend to) take his word for it and walk away, he's so sad. pls no, give it to him !!
chopper loves making flower crowns with you. he could make them all day. he loves wearing several of them on his antlers, so he can spin, turn, and dance and they flow in the wind.
nami loves extravagant flower crowns. the bigger and more colorful, the better. she will throw little hints that she really wants one made of sunflowers and roses, such as saying how much she really REALLY wants one, and will sigh out loud when she's in front of the flowers. so when you actually surprise her with one, she's so happy she could squeeze the life out of you. you're her favorite for a reason
franky is so gentle with his flower crown. he's terrified that he may accidentally break or bruise the flowers that you worked so hard to put together. he will pull out the tiny yellow hand to put it on or take it off. he is going to make this thing last !!

I’m glad your back! Can I request Part 11 of the Davy Back Fight? (You can take your time with this and not gonna lie, I thought this arc was Filler until I looked it up 😅)
After escaping from some Sea Monkeys (Reader thought they were cute) they find an island where everything is super long! Meeting the Old Hermit Tonjit and Shelly the Horse (Reader is sparkly eyed by Shelly and feeds her long apples) but end up battling the Foxy Pirates in a Davy Back Fight to get Shelly back
They lost Reader to the Foxy Pirates (The Foxy Pirates know her bounty) but they only want her because she’s adorable, as they’re gushing and coddling her for how cute she is (She’s confused, because even though they’re the enemy, they don’t remind her of ‘That Man’)
Regardless Reader wants to be with the Straw Hats, as she shyly says “I want to be with my Big Brothers, Big Sister Nami and Robin, they’re very special to me, like…like my treasure”, which makes the Foxy Pirates and Straw Hats bawl from how sweet that was (Zoro and Robin are clutching their chests)
The Straw Hats promise Reader that they’ll get her back, so she’s just watching the battles, trying the food and playing a few games (She wasn’t upset when Luffy choose Shelly, Nami and Usopp were beating him black and blue rather she was happy since she was worried about Shelly, and gently says “Of course I’m not upset, this was to get Shelly back, and I know my big brother will save me, he’s like a Superhero, a Cool Pirate Superhero!” Which made Luffy bawl, calling Reader ‘Awesome’) though she was confused about Luffy wearing something called an ‘Afro’ (Thinking it’s a giant puff ball) as she was with Robin and Chopper timidly cheering him on (And was happy when Luffy won)
- Reader didn’t call Robin her sister because she doesn’t feel that’s what Robin is to her (She doesn’t realize that the reason why Robin doesn’t feel like a sister is because she’s a Mother Figure instead *Mama Robin*) I just wanted to add that little tidbit of information (For some future drama)
Phew! Sorry if this was a lot! Some of these Arcs are long or have a lot of information! (A lot of them are longer after the Time Skip though, with a few exceptions *Thriller Bark, Water Seven which continued into 2-3 consecutive arcs and Marineford*) You can also shorten/abridged this arc if you want to as well, since this was a lot of stuff (I wouldn’t blame you)
I’m going to be completely honest- but Foxy is one of the few characters in One Piece that I absolutely can’t stand- not sure why but he pisses me off for some reason. This isn't going to be exactly what you requested for this one, but I hope you enjoy it!
-After leaving the G8 base, the decision was made to head to find someone who could not only fix the ship, but find a shipwright as well for the crew.
-You tugged on Ussop’s pants, “What’s a shipwright?” he kneeled down next to you, putting a hand on your head with a grin, “A shipwright is someone who builds and repairs ships. We’re looking for someone to fix Merry and then travel with us in case if the ship gets damaged again so they can fix it.”
-You nodded, beaming before Robin picked you up, holding you up on her hip, “Time for a nap Y/N.” you nodded softly, “Will you read to me?” Robin smiled softly, adoring your question as she loved to read to you as Zoro called out that there was an island coming up.
-You wanted to stay up because you wanted to see the new island but Robin smiled after she sat you on your bed, “I’ll wake you up if there’s anything interesting to see.” You nodded, agreeing before crawling up to your pillow to lay down and beamed up at Robin who grabbed one of her books.
-You were out within minutes, sleeping quietly as she walked back out to rejoin the rest of the crew as the ship approached this strange island, Long Ring Long Land.
-Robin didn’t wake you back up after the crew was bullied into a Davy Back Challenge by Foxy the Silver Fox and the Foxy Pirates, and they had all silently agreed to try to keep your existence a secret, just in case if Foxy tried to take you.
-You woke up after a loud crashing sound, sitting up with a small whine, rubbing at your eyes as you looked around, wondering what was going on.
-You wandered out, standing on your tip toes to see Usopp putting an afro wig on top of Luffy’s head which made question marks fly around your head as you headed to the gangplank, walking down.
-Porsche saw you and her eyes turned into hearts, “You’re so cute!!” she hugged you close after running over and you were struggling to get free, not knowing her as you began to panic as she shouted at Foxy to win so she could cuddle you and Chopper more.
-You managed to get out and run to hide behind Chopper, peeking out which made her squeal on how shy you were before Robin stepped in front of the two of you, protecting you both which made Porsche glare fiercely, seeing her as a rival for your affections.
-You and Chopper both hugged Robin’s legs who wasn’t bothered as you questioned what was going on as you watched Luffy and Foxy fighting one another.
-Robin explained that the Foxy Pirates challenged the Straw Hats to a Davy Back Challenge, where members of each crew competed against each other, and whatever team won could take a member from the losing crew for their own.
-You were horrified, hugging Chopper, tears welling in your eyes after you learned that he had been lost to the Foxy Pirates, but won back by Zoro and Sanji, and now it was the final battle, with the winning captain taking whatever they wanted, and Foxy wanted the Straw Hat crew as his own.
-You cheered for Luffy as he won, taking Foxy’s flag as payment, painting a new one and you even got to help, putting some glitter on it to make it pretty, something Porsche thanked you for before asking if you wanted to join the Foxy Pirates.
-You were polite in answering her, shaking your head, “I want to stay with my big brothers, my big sister Nami, and Mama Robin.” She pouted, wanting Foxy to issue another Davy Back Challenge, but they just took their new flag and ran off, swearing revenge while you waved bye-bye to them with Sanji. Robin couldn't help but smile, hearing your words, calling her Mama, but it felt nice that you thought of her in that way.
-Luffy beamed, holding onto your hand as he grinned, “I’m going to introduce you to my new friends, one is a really tall horse named Shelley, and the other is a weird old guy called Tonjit."
-Outside the front of the house, there was a very tall man sleeping, who was awoken by your approaching crew, you didn’t know this man but you froze, scared as you saw Robin fall to her rear in fear, introducing this man as Admiral Aokiji, one of the three admirals in the marines at the moment.
-Aokiji yawned loudly, surprising everyone, before he spoke, “I ain’t here to fight with you. I just wanted to see where Nico Robin wound up after Alabasta.” He looked down at you as you were hiding behind Luffy and he smiled, “Aww- you’re a cutie! Want a candy?” he held out a lollipop for you, which surprised you, but you took it after he kneeled down, ruffling your hair gently.
-You were in awe, your eyes sparkling as Aokiji used his ice Devil Fruit to make a path for Tonjit and Shelly to reunite with his tribe and you waved goodbye to them.
-Despite appearing friendly early, Aokiji instantly turns and spoke, deeming the crew as a threat, especially Robin, who can read something called a Poneglyph and that every time Robin joins an organization, she’s always the last survivor.
-Aokiji then looked at you, like he was going to say something before Robin attacked him and he easily blocked her attack with a blade made from frozen grass, going to attack her before Zoro and Sanji blocked the blow before getting thrown back, Sanji’s leg being covered in ice and the same with Zoro’s arm.
-Luffy tried to rush at him, throwing a punch before getting his fist frozen which made you fall to your rear in fear before Robin tried again, only for him to freeze her whole body, making your mouth fall open in fear as you screamed out her name.
-When Aokiji tried to break the frozen Robin, Luffy stopped him before Usopp grabbed her and Nami grabbed you and Chopper and fled back to the ship.
-You cried loudly once on the ship, clutching at Robin as you had used your quirk to unfreeze her, worrying all of them as Robin held you close, worrying for Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp who had gone back.
-When you saw your big brother frozen just like Robin you felt like you couldn’t breathe before unfreezing him as well, using your reversal quirk. You only had a minor fever afterwards, nothing too worrisome, but you couldn’t stop crying, even after you gave yourself the hiccups, being held by Luffy who was glaring hard.
-They had all had a harsh reality check on the power of others in this world, realizing they needed to get some strong crew mates if you all were going to survive in this unforgiving world. They had to get stronger so they could protect you, something Robin mentioned after you cried yourself to sleep, “We were lucky that he didn’t take Y/N- if he wanted to, he could have.”
-Elsewhere, riding a bicycle over the ocean on a thin strip of ice, Aokiji sneezed suddenly, “Oh~ I wonder who’s talking about me? I wonder if I forgot something~ hmmm- must have not been important.” Before continuing on his journey.

do you have any good tim fic recs? without him being massively woobified or fanonised
tim centric fics are not something i usually read (though that IS changing recently) BUT i do indeed have some recs that to me, personally, really encapsulate his character and i think about like all the time. a good tim drake fic can truly change the chemicals in your brain FOREVER.
woobified tim and i have personal beef with each other that will withstand all the generations to come, so i will not be touching him with a ten foot pole. do not fear.
TIM DRAKE CENTRIC FIC RECS ON AO3
Talk To Me by A_Canceled_Stamp
Bruce and Tim have a long-overdue heart-to-heart
MY NOTES: ohhh just the bruce and tim fic ever to exit. i reread this often when i just need a little comfort after things are rough, because it is so well written and i will never get over how sweet it is. happy tears in my eyes forever. bruce and tim is a dynamic that is so special.
lift this curse of bein' seventeen by arguablysomaya
When Tim first dreamed of becoming Robin, he’d been admiring Dick. When he became Red Robin, hurt and alone, he’d thought about the person Jason used to be. But after years of watching his older sister, Tim can’t help but reflect on how much he respects Cass and what she stands for.
As Batgirl, as Orphan, as Black Bat— as Cass, the woman that could face down pure evil and still sneak into Tim’s apartment to pull the laptop out of his hands and shove him into bed.
Or: In which Tim Drake gets a new name.
MY NOTES: oh my GOD. THE TIM DRAKE MOVES ON FROM ROBIN FIC EVER. i never once considered black bat tim but after reading this i genuinely have ascended to a new plain of tim drake understanding. not to mention wonderful tim and cass writing. i love their duo so much. (also!!! asian tim!!!)
by any other name would smell as sweet by misspickman
A dare and a couple of offhand comments set off a domino effect, sending Tim down one or two identity crises. Apparently everyone thinks it's time for him to do some self-reflection.
MY NOTES: i have said this so many times in these recs that it should be a given now to always expect a trans character fic as well. trans girl tim fic u are SO REAL. a friend recommended this to me and i read it all while standing up for a good half an hour unable to do anything else. changed my life forever. good lord
a soft place to land by unchosenone
Tim rubs the back of his head, trying to affect a joking tone. “I knew I should’ve just gone for the new escrima sticks.”
Dick is ready to be a good big brother to his grieving little bro. Tim flips the script.
MY NOTES: dick and tim are truly the brothers of all time i tear up just thinking about what they once had and everything they've lost. this fic is not about that though. this fic is about what a caring little brother tim is.
Check your mic by Lilac_hyacinth
“That wasn’t—” he stared at his bike’s display through fuzzy eyes. “I mean, Bernard’s not my—”
“It’s okay, Tim,” Steph said gently.
The comm felt like a knife in his ear.
“I’m not,” Tim said.
He didn’t know if he was saying "I’m not gay" or "I’m not okay," was pretty sure nobody else did either, and the next thing Tim knew, his comm was a crushed pile of plastic and tech in his clenched fist.
MY NOTES: first and foremost, if you are a fan of timber you NEED to check out this author. the best timber fics out there. this fic is especially special to me and i love the way the comfort was handled. seeing tim traverse through different parts of the queer experience will always be important to me.

Furina and Strawhat crew
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@ithoughtthinks
Zoro: She may be like his captain, but her attitude toward the DRAMA male makes her a little more troublesome for him. Not to mention that most of the time that she talks, he just goes, "What?". Besides, she's a genuinely good friend to Luffy, so he'll be fine with her...and he must admit, she do have some guts on her own. He just wishes she'd stop throwing water on him (stinky man).
Nami: At the beginning, she can find Furina quite annoying, overdramatic, and incompetent for her role, but after knowing the truth, it's hard not to notice the fact that the two are extremely similar. Both of them decided to protect and save their city, hiding the truth in order to protect everyone and endure the pain alone, except that Furina didn't have an older sister or a good old sheriff to watch over her. She didn't have good people that knew her motives; she was alone until her judgment, and even there she was alone. Nami respects Furina, and she's more interested in knowing her than the Focalor facade that she has impersonated for 500 years.
Usopp: Alongside Luffy, Furina, and Usopp, they can become an actual good comedy duo! The two can actually make a good show! To think that Fontain's Diva actually expressed some interest in having him as a co-conductor makes him blush and giggle!  But, they too are somehow alike: both of them know how is hard to play the hero and being the insecure one of the bunch at the same time. He'll be, alongside Luffy, the one who insists on Furina actually joining the crew! She doesn't have to stay in Fontaine anymore; she can travel with them! They're both liar after all, and they can make the biggest and greatest of the show together!
Sanji: As always, Sanji will start pestering Furina with his usual attitude, proclaiming that she's the brightest star in the sky or the precious pearl of the sea. Well, he meant some of them. She may still like to act a little like the old Furina, the star of the opera house, but it's notable that she's feeling a little anxious about her true self, the one that she has hidden for so long. He'll make just for her all of her favorite desserts (yes, he'll steal the recipe from Navia) and always remember how to make her feel special! .... But no, he won't indulge in her shopping spree or even contest some of her questionable choices (especially the seahorse stable). Mademoiselle Crabaletta has a huge crush on him. Help.
Chopper: Sweet baby, the two are just big babies that can fall for everything together. They can't be left alone; they'll buy some very terrible stuff (yes, the seahorse stable) and eat all of the desserts from the kitchen. He's one of the official guests of the Furina Tea parties and chats all of the time with Mademoiselle Crabaletta,Surintendante Chevalmarin, and Gentilhomme Usher.
Robin: Once she read about the story of the god of justice, her first idea was of someone not so far from the Celestial Dragon. Well, to say that she was surprised once she saw Furina for the first time is an understatement. The first time she had been on Fontaine and actually saw one of her performances and trials was when she was still the co-founder of Baroque Works, when Sir Crocodile actually decided to visit the place and test the waters. Back there, she saw something off about her, like someone who has been trying so hard to grip something and is slowly losing grip. When Robin had the chance to see her again and find out the truth, he was surprised by her determination, both in Furina and Focalors. They were actually able to cheat the government and find a way to protect their own people. Of course, she won't miss the chance to play a small trick on the girl, but Robin will never cross any line.
Franky: Has Furina had problems with boredom? Not with this man. He knows how to make the greatest and most spectacular of the show—everyday something new and every time some funny tricks that will just make the girl laugh or make her face agape. She doesn't address him as a "pervert" but more as an "interesting individual with some interesting hobbies." To Franky, the normal Furina was a good god from the beginning, and he thought that it was quite stupid to believe that an hunmble god was something to believe was "less important."
Brook: The two of them could actually talk for hours in that elegant manner, only to be interrupted by the same skeleton man for some stupid jokes and some of his antics. Despite that, Furina just loved how that man kept on playing for her his violin, enjoying each other's talents. Brook felt some kind of sadness for the young girl; she was forced to see people that she must have loved dying, knowing that there was no way she could have reached them. And, despite that, she's still got the courage to sing and say that she can still write her own story! He'll keep on playing his violin for her; she just needs to sing!
Jinbe:big and soft, fight me over it. She has done an excellent job in the last 500 years; now she can rest. His job is to avoid her being a victim of his captain's schemes; she's the main cause of the same schemes. There was a lot of conversation with Gentilhomme Usher.

- finney carries around a small first aid kit in his backpack. it’s packed with bandaids, alcohol wipes, gauze, and wraps. he’s had to use it more than once to patch up robin
- robin is the only person that calls finney finn. it makes robin feel special that he can call finn something others cant
- robin prefers drive-ins. there is something nice about sitting in the back of a car and staring at a big screen surrounded in night sky. he especially loves going to the drive-in with finn. they share a blanket and eat snacks until their stomachs hurt
- finney loves baseball. him and robin watch the games on tv. he raves about the plays and yells when the players make an error. robin doesnt really understand the innings and signals but loves to see finn so passionate
- finney always throws robin a wink from the mound when he plays.
- robin is a horror fiend. he drags finn with him to every opening night showing.
- finney loves books but sometimes words look like mush to him. robin reads to him whenever he stays over, softly playing with finney’s hair as he speaks
- finney loves robins hair, its long and pretty. sometimes finney runs his fingers through robins hair and gives him messy braids. (he learned from gwen but isn’t as good)
- robin picks up skating, showing finney all of the cool tricks he’s learned. finney tries copying a trick but ends up face planting in the road
- carrie is one of robins favorites. once every two weeks finney stays over and they watch it.
- finney and robin have known each other for so long that they dont sleep in separate beds when the other stays over
- robin is the little spoon and finney will forever tease him for it
- finney is guilty of stealing the covers
- most of the time they wake up tangled together and hot from the body heat. finney complains that robin is too warm to cuddle with
- finney spends his friday nights tutoring robin. they never get far, always distracted by the tv and magazines
- robin teaches finney how to throw a punch. he’s horrible at first, tucking in his thumb. robin is almost in shock at how bad finn is
- finney understands words and phrases in spanish due to robin. he tries to learn on his own, butchering the pronunciation
-robin has an older sister. she moved away a long time ago, they are fourteen years apart. she visits with her kids once in a while. she loves to talk with finney and tells him to not hurt her little brother or she’ll hurt him.
- robin tells finney all of the things he wants to do once they are older. he wants to get tattoos and piercings and take a road trip to california with finney. finney cringes at the thought of needles poking and prodding his skin.
- finney likes to doodle, he draws silly little cartoons and gives the funny ones to robin
- robin is a couple inches shorter than finney and hates to be reminded of it
- finney is always gentle with robin. he patches him up after fights and scolds him for picking them. most of the fights are because someone said something about finney or robin (mostly finney). finney feels warm at the thought of robin standing up for him, but he hates the fights and hates seeing robin hurt.
- sometimes finney slaps the back of robins head when he’s being particularly stubborn
- finney tried making up a nickname for robin. he tried robbie for a while but robin hated it
- robin is brilliant, the teachers may not see it but finney definitely does. he thinks robin is one of, if not the smartest person he knows
- there isnt much to do in denver. they spend late summer nights out on a field, looking at the stars
- whenever nights with his dad get bad, finney shows up on robins doorstep. they spend the night looking at comics and astronomy magazines (robin had saved some for finn)
- their hair gets longer. robins hair is curlier and so is finneys. finney’s hair covers his eyes most of the time while robin still uses his bandana. sometimes robin puts the bandana on finney, watching as the boy looks in the mirror at the new hairdo.
- finney rarely sees robin without his bandana but when he does he’s thankful. robins hair is shorter at the top, almost giving him bangs. finney tells robin he should wear it like that often but robin refuses
- sometimes while walking in the middle of the night they hold hands. it isnt for any reason, maybe comfort. those moments are some of robins favorites (finney too)
my hcs for now. i love these little guys awe. if you guys have hcs or anything feel free to leave them in my asks <3

Batfamily Secret Santa
With the holidays coming up here's my headcanon for what each of the batfamily members would get each other if they were doing a secret Santa. (And yes, I know Bruce is canonically Jewish, but I believe either Tim or Dick are some denomination of Christian so I'd imagine they have a mixed holiday celebration at the manor)
Bruce (got Stephanie)
Ok so Bruce is super generous on a good day and I can't imagine Steph wouldn't be dropping hints since Thanksgiving, so he'd probably give her everything she asked for plus a new movie Wayne manor doesn't have, so after the celebration they could watch it together as a one-on-one bonding thing since he's pretty big on quality time in some versions.
Dick (got Bruce)
Bruce really doesn't expect anything for the holidays which is perfect because I have this headcanon that Dick is actually really bad with giving gifts. Someone bullied your little sister? Not on his watch. Life advice? He'll pull from his past experiences to tell you what not to do. Emotional support? Bro he's there. But birthday/anniversary/holiday gifts? Expect a mug with Snoopy's face because you both watched Charlie Brown together once. In July. He's just that kind of gift giver. So I'm thinking Dick would get Bruce a dinosaur themed 1,000 piece puzzle because Bruce likes dinosaurs and he likes puzzles so boom! Match made in heaven, ya boi is a genius. 😎
Barbara (got Jason)
Babs is a pretty practical person so her secret Santa to Jason probably consisted of a gift bag with manly smelling body wash, a gift card to Barnes & Noble, and a CD mixtape of Jason's Spotify favorites so he can pop it into a car and listen to it during long car rides.
Duke (got Damian)
So Duke is a pretty creative person when he's passionate about a project and his ideas are definitely one of a kind, but I think for some time he would really struggle with coming up with a secret Santa for Damian because he isn't all that close with Robin. He knew Damian appreciated weapons but he's also the type of person to not want Damian to think that weapons are all he is by getting him one. Presents for Damian's pets are off the table since Damian spoils them on every day of the year, so Duke would probably gift Damian something for the child he is, since Damian never had a childhood. Maybe a telescope so Damian could look at the stars with his family on clear nights. Just like what Duke's mom gave him as a boy for the holidays one year.
Cass (got Dick)
Cass didn't receive material gifts for most of her life so she probably enlisted Alfred's help. Given that the butler knows Dick pretty well, they decided to give him a gift basket with blue ribbon that had a T-shirt of his favorite band, some flash fuzzy socks (Wally would approve), and his favorite holiday candy. Dick is really more of a quality time kind of person if you want to make him to feel special, so it didn't need to be elaborate anyway.
Jason (got Cass)
I don't care how much people try to make Jason into a sexist, ignorant-to-the-fine-arts kind of person. Jason doesn't give a fuck about gender stereotypes and he loves learning, especially about classical things like literature or fine arts. For his secret Santa to Cass he got them both tickets for a weekend trip to Russia to see a ballet in person in one of the grandest cities in Russia. Cass has obviously been to many places across the world, but it was always for a mission and nothing more. For the holidays, Jason gifted her two days where they could travel and explore the culture, living like locals or being those stereotypical tourists just for shits and giggles. Just a few days without work to relax and live happy lives as regular people. When Cass got her gift Jason pulled her aside afterwards to explain it, so she wouldn't cry in front of everyone. And she did cry. Just a little. So did Jason.
Tim (got Duke)
Tim wouldn't think too hard about Duke's gift since he knows the people Duke hangs out with. Or could find them. Getting Duke a gift was as simple as casually running into Duke's friends and asking them about what Duke likes. Not that he or Duke's friends ever mentioned this to Signal, so when he opened his secret Santa and found some hyper-specific things amongst some more generic gifts, he began to wonder just how much Tim knew about his life.
Stephanie (got Babs)
Steph is absolutely the type of person to get someone for Christmas something they want themselves. So a lot of the gifts Bruce gave her look similar to what Babs got from Steph. Not that she means anything by it, but in her mind if it's worth wanting, someone else close to her probably wants it too. And Babs doesn't mind. She already bought herself a new desk light after the old one got knocked down one too many times, so it doesn't matter if she has a cute keychain to go on it.
Damian (got Tim)
Regardless of his age I think a younger sibling will always be a younger sibling. Damian would probably give Tim a large fancy gift bag filled with tissue paper... and nothing else. He'd do it just to see Tim's reaction to rifling through the bag for several moments to come up empty. Then, when Tim admits defeat, Damian would hand over a gift he asked Jon to pick up for Connor, nicely wrapped with Tim's forged signature and everything. He wasn't about to get Tim a gift but it's okay because he knew Tim would've somehow forgotten to get his boyfriend a holiday gift anyway. (And he did)

I've been thinking about the next Christmas Special and what some parts of the synopsis might mean:
"The Ghosts soon realise, however, that they may have more in common with Betty than they first thought."
Since Betty thinks Button House isn't safe (maybe because she's witnessed ghost activity?), I think it's possible the ghosts might start to believe they aren't safe. Either they realise just how much of her daily life Alison has to lie about or hide from her living family and friends because of them. Or something physically dangerous happens (like Robin accidentally making a light bulb burst and almost hurting the baby) which makes them agree with Betty that Button House isn't safe with them around.
"The whole experience inspires the Ghosts to reflect, and a big decision awaits them all."
If they ghosts believe they're a danger to Alison and her family in some way, I wouldn’t be surprised if they started thinking Alison would be better off without them. That doesn't necessarily have to mean they're going to will themselves to move on somehow (we know it doesn't work like that) but they could still find ways to disappear from Alison's life. The grounds of Button House are vast enough for that. I could see them making the decision to leave the house, thinking that's what's best for the Coopers, and the episode ending wirh Alison going after them and telling them they're her family too and that she wants them in her life.
Alternative speculation #1 (aka wishful thinking on my part)
As someone who absolutely adores the Plague Ghosts, I could also see the ghosts realising there's nothing more important than family because of Betty. They see the lengths Betty is willing to go to to make sure Mike, Alison and the baby are safe, the love that's behind everything she does. Perhaps that will make them realise there are people in their afterlives they haven't treated as kindly as they should have - namely Humphrey and the Plague Ghosts - and they'll vow to do better in the future. With Humphrey, that's easy. They'll make a point of including him. But what if they decide to ask the Plague Ghosts to move upstairs? To officially become a part of the family? That would be a huge decision and also something they've never done before (Larry, I think, mentioned there'd be an unexpected tonal shift).
Alternative Interpretation #2
The reflection and big decision could also be about Alison telling Betty about the ghosts. This ties in to what I mentioned at the beginning - that the ghosts realise how much Alison has to hide from other people, even her own family. Upon reflecting on what that will mean for the rest of her life, they could come to the decision that Alison should tell Betty the truth. This would also be something we haven't seen in the show before. Off the top of my hat I can only remember two moments when Alison told other people about her gift: 1) when she wanted to appear crazy in front of Mike's friends to get Mike out of the cult meeting, and 2) when Kylie was there and she realised they share the same gift. As far as we know, Alison has never told anyone in her family about the ghosts so her telling Betty would be a huge deal.
Obviously, this is all speculation. It's possible none of this will happen; it's also possible some things will but for different reasons, under different circumstances or in different ways. There is so very little the synoposis actually tells us - no mention of Baby Cooper, for example. Is Alison still pregnant? Will she give birth at home? If the baby is already born, will it play a key role in Betty's arc about Button House not being safe? Why is Mike's father not mentioned, or his sisters?
I love that we know so little and have so much room for speculation. For me, that's almost as fun as getting to see what actually happens.

ok I'm canadian so thanksgiving was weeks ago for me but. just thinking about being with the fruity four post-vecna when you're all squared up in the Harrington house, living and sleeping and spending all your time together, sharing your lives together as you intended to. but since the holidays are rolling around and your house is by far the biggest for all the guests you wanna invite, you guys are the ones that end up hosting the big turkey dinners and gatherings for the kids and their families to come to. you've even got the Hopper-Byers clan, Hellfire, and uncle Wayne to come, which makes it even more lively--especially since, ironically, the Harrington parents themselves are a no-show.
however, the catch is that none of them really know the nature of your relationship. Dustin has ideas but he's not positive, he just thinks you guys are really close and he heard Eddie calling Steve babygirl so he's assuming there's something going on. also Max has seen you peck Robin on the cheek before. and Mike's caught Steve at Nancy's former bedroom window to get an old knickknack she forgot. and Erika knows for a fact that you like Eddie because she's sat next to you at Hellfire--and she's seen those cheesy hearts circling his name in your notebook. but either way, whatever it is you're doing they really don't mind, and they're just glad to spend the holidays with their favourite honorary older brothers and sisters. it's difficult to be spending such nice quality time with everyone but not be able to show affection to each other, because you just have to pretend you're friends and roommates, bustling around the kitchen to make dinner together and figuring out table settings for all your guests.
but you get lucky when someone fixes up a thatch of mistletoe above the doorway between the kitchen and the dining room, the fist bump/high five combo between El, Max, and Will going unnoticed as they wait for the trap to spring. and when the five of you cycle in and out to bring the food to the table, none of them miss the opportunity to chant "kiss! kiss! kiss!" when two of you get caught underneath. it's a game but also a challenge--can the party members figure out who it is that's actually dating off of a kiss?
needless to say, most of you are quite subtle because you're just happy you get to kiss the ones you love on this special occasion--light pecks and goofy cheek kisses aplenty. but the ass-grabbing and the mouthful of tongue from Eddie when he catches both you and Steve under the mistletoe keeps everyone guessing.

Green Haired Swordsman Meets Green-eyed Monster
*In the days following the Raid on Onigashima, Luffy and Zoro were nearly comatose from their exertion and wounds. Now, after a week, Zoro just woke up and was greeted with a sight he hadn't expected.*
Zoro: My head... damn I need some booze. Robin:I can get you some in just a minute. Zoro: Wh- Robin, the hell are you doing here? Where are the others? Robin: Luffy woke up about an hour ago and ran off, and the rest of our nakama had follow after him to make sure he didn't destroy anything in his search for food. Zoro: Heh... yeah, that sounds like him. Still doesn't answer why you stayed, though. Robin: *clears her throat and looks away* Well, someone had to make sure you weren't alone whenever you woke up, and to explain the situation so you didn't wander around in confusion. And I... drew the short straw. Zoro: Well then, I guess I appreciate the courtesy. So what situation needs explaining? Luffy beat Kaido, obviously, but what else happened? Robin: *smiles at how immediately confident Zoro is in their victory* Well, the two of you have been passed out from your wounds for a week, and in that time Momonosuke-sama revealed his presence to the country and declared himself the Shogun. I almost didn't believe what I was seeing, but it seems Shinobu-chan used her power to age him up by 20 years. Fuhuhuhu~ Zoro: Ah, so the brat reclaimed his clan's place on top. Good for him I guess, hopefully Kin'emon and the others can help him get a handle on that. The age thing sounds wild, but I did see him flying around as a full sized dragon so that tracks. Anything else? Robin: Um... yes, actually, there was something I wanted to talk to you about, Zoro-kun. I suppose you mentioned it in passing before the raid but... you spent some time with Momonosuke-sama's sister, didn't you? Zoro: Hmm? Ah, yeah, I was with Hiyori for a couple days. Robin: *eyes narrowed and glowering a bit* Yes, and it must have been quite an eventful period. When she heard you were incapacitated, she insisted on coming to see you. She begged Chopper to let her help with your treatment, and more than a few times tried to nestle beside you for comfort. You two must have... bonded quite a bit... for her to be so close and caring towards you. Zoro: Yeah, you could probably say that. She let me claim Enma after that weapons bandit took Shusui, I saved her from Kid's first mate while he was running around as that serial killer, we slept together... Robin: I'm sorry, you did what?!?! With a woman you knew for less than a week?? I know I've been coy and playful in the past, but I didn't realize you'd find someone else this quickly. Zoro: The hell do you mean? We just- oh for the love of... I mean we shared a bed, and I didn't even ask for it. We were in a shack in Ringo, which was pretty damn cold, and she was helping treat a nasty stab wound I got from Kid's buddy. I was trying to get some rest to help it heal, and I guess while I slept she draped her coat over me for a blanket and then went to sleep next to me to share body heat. We had that kid with the big eyes who laughed a lot with us too, and nothing lewd happened. I mean, she offered me her body, but I wasn't interested in that. Robin: Oh... I see. I'm sorry for getting so... worked up. I guess I just... Zoro: Thought I'd gotten laid with the first girl that offered? That's the pervy cook's thing. Robin: Well she is the Oiran of the Flower Capital. Zoro: Ah, so she's a professional at seduction and I'd be in an elite crowd for getting with her. I'm not into having sex for the glory. Robin: But this is the country your family descends from! Surely it reminded you of home, and you might have felt something special in the prospect of a woman who shares your culture?? *She's growing more exasperated, and hating the words even as she says them because they're justifying why he should be with another woman* Zoro: I never cared much about my village being founded by a Wano samurai, and I'm happy with the culture I'm part of now, being a pirate. Why do you actually care so much about this? Robin: Because clearly she loves you!! Zoro: *Sigh* Robin, I know she does. And it's flattering, she's a very pretty woman, but she's just not my type.

I'm so nervous about sending asks aaaa but I wanted to tell you I LOVED your take on alpha Nancy and Omega Robin, and the idea that they presented when they met is just chef kiss. I wonder if Nancy, being an alpha, has some sort of special protective instinct when it comes to omegas, especially Robin, who has now captured her attention in such a peculiar way. She hates smelling her stress, and there's a point in which she smells it every time she's near her (Robin freaking out around her and being so nervous because she knows Nancy is an alpha and must be able to tell when she's distressed, or aroused, or anything really, and for someone as closed off as Robin that must be extremely upseting and frustrating).
So now Nancy just feels an irresistible urge to protect Robin and keep her always within her sight. It's something she can only explain as weird alpha instincts making her act like that - though being protective is in her nature, and she's always protected those she loves. I wonder if there are any other omegas in Nancy's circle for her to compare the feeling to - maybe Will, or her own mother? Not great comparison points. It just makes her more confused. She's confused as to why she feels so protective of Robin and why it makes her so upset to sense her distress. Omega fear is just something else.
HIIIIII! I've seen your ronance content, and I am a BIG fan!
All alphas have a strong protective instinct for their friends and families, but Nancy's got dialed to a 10 after everything with the Upside Down started. She's honestly worse than Steve at times, but she's way more controlled and nonchalant about it (even though Nancy's always standing on business when it comes to dealing with threats).
She checks on the kids twice a day, and spends every other night in the hospital with Max so that Lucas and the others can get rest at home.
But her emotions are completely fucked when it comes to Robin. Once they start really getting closer, Nancy has to make sure Robin's safe. They talk on the phone every night before bed, and Nancy makes sure Robin has a walkie-talkie on her at all times.
When they start organizing patrols to deal with the open gates in Hawkins, Nancy always makes sure Robin's scheduled either with her or Steve.
One night, Mike gets scheduled with Robin and Nancy for a patrol and realizes his sister is in love again after she absolutely pulverizes a demodog with her shotgun. It knocked Robin to the ground and nearly bit her arm, which sent Nancy straight into a rage. To this day, he still swears he heard Nancy growl at it- something he had never heard her do before.

What the Townies Watch on the Television
Stardew brainrot going wild. Clint doesn't get a fancy colour because he doesn't deserve one. <3 Unlike Krobus who doesn't get a colour because he's special and lovely.
Tumblr media
Bachelors:
Sam: Something in relation to urban mysteries like UFOs and monsters like Bigfoot. He'd watch shows about ghosts too but he's too scared. Also, those 'Top Twenty Fails' shows!
Elliot: History shows, obviously. They're great for references and also just super entertaining overall! He also dabbles in the occasional gardening show to help him take care of his seasonal flowers.
Sebastian: I feel like he barely watches TV, but when he does it's something comedic. Think Stardew's version of Seinfeld. Any of that trashy TV to pass the time.
Harvey: Like Elliott, Harvey's a big fan of the history channel. He also loves those urban mystery shows that talk about missing vehicles because he gets to learn about all the ins and outs of how they worked.
Shane: He'll watch anything except for the news and romance. The news is too depressing for his already endorphin-drained mind and romance shows feel too trashy. He just has the sports channel on in the background whenever he's doing something.
Alex: We all know the answer: sports. But he's also a fan of the cooking, gardening, and antique shows! That's all thanks to Evelyn. And George has forced him to become used to all his depressing channels, though he tries to avoid that.
Bachelorettes:
Penny: She loves children's shows and antique shows like the Antique Roadshow. They just give her a wonderful feeling of nostalgia and warmth inside.
Leah: All those repairing and art shows. If only she knew Bob Ross... She would be in love. She is also an avid enjoyer of gardening and cooking shows. They give her great foraging tips!
Abigail: Children's shows. But where Penny is more aimed at the littler kids cartoons, she likes the stuff around the age things like Danny Phantom are aimed at. Stardew Valley would also have a ton of monster hunting shows that she loves.
Maru: Science shows, duh. Absolutely anything to do with science - even those UFO shows and lost city programs. Even if she thinks they're fake, she has fun debunking them. She's also a sucker for a good romance series.
Emily: Sewing shows, repair shows, art shows, dance competitions - anything artistic. She's the one who watches the news, so Haley doesn't have to. She handles the stresses shown on there a lot better than her sister.
Haley: She's not really a fan of TV. It's a lot of her aimlessly scrolling through channels of trashy TV programs until she gives up and something grabs her eye. What she usually settles on are some fun ghost hunting shows.
Other:
Jodi: She barely gets time for television. But when she does, she likes to watch kids' shows with Vincent or a good drama. Something to distract her from the business of her life. She's also heavily invested in the news in the hopes of knowing how her husband is.
Vincent: Kids shows, obviously! He's eight, what else is he going to watch? Ever since his father left, he's been banned from watching the news so as not to worry him, but he's caught sneak peaks by listening in on his family's commentary anyways.
Kent: For the years leading up to and the first year of the farmer's arrival, Kent couldn't watch television at all. Being a soldier in the front lines and all. But when he got back, he really got into the lighthearted stuff. He needed a good distraction.
Robin: Woodworking shows; specifically, treehouse building. She just thinks it's so cool how people just decide to put these grand houses in trees of all things. She also loves romance and drama series.
Demetrius: He's not one for TV. He tries to avoid it due to how depressing and dependent it can make you. When he does watch it, he's watching the movies.
Marnie: Funny fail videos. She's a sucker for funny cats. And of course, there are the animal shows. She loves shows like Better Homes and Gardens.
Jas: Once again, kids' shows. Her and Vincent are obsessed with them. She also caught a glimpse of a murder mystery show and was entranced. What can I say? She's a bit of a Wednesday Addams.
Evelyn: Baking, gardening, and antique shows. She also loves travel programs. It makes her all happy to see people having a good time. And she gets to daydream about travelling the world.
I would give all my money to let her go on a cruise. </3
George: All the depressing stuff. Murder mysteries, missing person cases, the news, all of it. Then he acts like that doesn't fuel his horrible mood. He's just using his cynical feelings to survive at this point and needs fuel.
Pam: She hates it, but she's addicted to the news. She also loves to watch royal and historical dramas. It makes her happy to know that it's not just her that's suffering (even if those other people are fictional).
Pierre: The Art of the Deal /hj. Nah, he's watching all that conservative stuff. Also loves those shows where they renovate and sell houses. He just wishes he could own a big house like the people on the show.
Caroline: Cooking shows and meditation classes. She needs a bit of a breather, so any programs aimed to help relax are appreciated. She also studies the fitness programs for her classes with the other townies.
Linus: He doesn't watch TV. Firstly, he lives in a tent, and secondly, television isn't all too good for you.
Clint: Romance shows that he self-inserts himself into aka pretends he's with Emily. I'm sorry I just don't like Clint. Also, metalworking.
Rasmodius/Wizard: He doesn't watch TV. Ever.
Krobus: He likes any shows, but particularly fantasy dramas. He gets to enjoy the creativity of humans AND study their social systems.
Leo: He never used to have television, so it's all very new to him. But like the other kids his age, he's all about the children's network.

I want you, just you
Pairing: Joyce Byers×OC, Robin Buckley×sister
Word count: 2601
Warnings: some smut at the end
Summary: You are Robin's older sister and friends with Steve, Jonathan and Nancy. You always hang out at Jonathans and often help Joyce cook dinner for all of you. You developed a massive crush on her and one day you ask her out on a date. Joyce knows that your gay because you helped Will with coming out to her.
A/n: So I haven't posted anything in a while and I had this fanfic in my drafts for quite a while but never got myself to finishing it. But I have a few new ideas and wanted to finish it before I start something new. So here it is. Hope you like it!♡
Tumblr media
"My god, just ask her out already. The worst that can happen is that she says no."
"It's not that easy Robin! What are Jonathan and Will gonna think?"
"They both love you endlessly, they won't care. They just want their mom to be happy. Asking her out won't kill you." Claire turned around and raised an eyebrow at that statement.
"Then why don't you tell Nancy how you feel about her?"
"That's totally different, she's in a relationship. You know that. Joyce is single and I don't want to listen to your sad, self pitying anymore. So. Ask. Her. Out. End of discussion." Robin grabbed her bag and left the shop.
Claire Buckley worked in a little flowershop a few houses next to the shop Joyce Byers worked in. Her shift usually ended an hour before Joyces, so she always waited for her after closing the shop and then drove her home. They knew each other through Jonathan. Claire was friends with him, Steve and Nancy. They often hung out at the Byers house and when Will also had his friends over, there were a lot of mouths to feed. So Claire often helped Joyce with cooking and making dinner ready. She loved it, just the two of them talking and laughing. Joyce knew that Claire was gay, Will accidentally told her, when he was talking about the way that Claire helped him with coming out.
Today wasn't a busy day so she closed the shop early. Before leaving she made a little bouquet out of beautiful pink-yellowish roses for Joyce.
Claire knew Robin was right, asking her out wasn't such a big deal and normally she was pretty confident in everything she did but Joyce made her legs wobbly and her heart beat so fast it felt like having a heartattack.
After closing the shop Claire walked up and down the sidewalk like an idiot in front of the shop and thought about what to say. She really didn't want to fuck this up, besides the whole crushing situation Claire really liked Joyce. She had been so accepting, when Claire came out and had always been there for her. Robin was a fabulous sister but she had her own baggage to cary with struggling and coming out. It was nice to have someone just listen to you and tell you it would all be alright. And cooking with Joyce always made her day and she enjoyed the calming effect that she had on her. After about 5 minutes of walking a hole into the sidewalk Claire entered the shop.
"Hey Joyce, it's me. I closed the shop a little earlier." Claire walked over to a free counter and sat down.
"Ah, there you are. Not much business today here either." Joyce sat down next to her and smiled at her. That bright, loving smile gave Claire some confidence.
"I brought you some flowers."
"Thank you Claire, they're beautiful. They'll get a special place at home." She smiled at the flowers and seemed to be caught up in her thoughts. It was so easy to fall in love with her, Claire thought. Or maybe that was just her opinion.
"I... I wanted to ask you something."
"Sure, what is it?" Joyce looked up to her and gave her a reassuring smile.
"Would you go on a date with me? We could go to a restaurant, or I'd cook for you." Her smile faded a bit and Claire directly hated herself for ever having asked. She stood up and walked away from the counter, the flowers still in her hand.
"Aren't I a bit too old for you?" She chuckled sarcastically. Joyce felt a wave of insecurity rush over her, she didn't think that Claire would make such a cruel joke but she doubted that she really wanted something from her. Why would she? Claires smile dropped immediately.
"I..." she had never thought about the age difference before, her concernes always lied somewhere else. The kids, her maybe not liking woman, the town gossip...
"I never thought about our age difference to be honest. It never mattered to me." Claire stood up and walked towards her, she still had her back to her but the flowers weren't in her hands anymore.
Claire slowly put a hand on Joyce's shoulder and another one on her waist. She closed her eyes and she could feel her sink into the touch and visibly relax. Joyce felt safe when Claire touched her, it wasn't something she understood but it was something she always denied herself because she never thought the feeling could be reciprocated.
Moving close to her ear with her mouth Claire whispered: "It doesn't matter, you hear me. It doesn’t change the way I feel about you and I wouldn't ask you out on a date if I didn't mean it. Believe me. So, what's your answer?" Joyce really wanted to believe her, she wanted to so bad. So she did. She risked being hurt. She was tired of denying herself basic needs.
She opened her eyes again and moved her head slightly into Claires direction. Their faces were inches away from each other.
"Okay, cook for me." Claire started smiling without even trying to and turned Joyce around. She moved her head up to look into Claire's eyes and shyly smiled at her.
"Close the shop, noone will come. And if they do, they can wait until tomorrow. I'll drive you home." She nodded and started closing.
--------------
Claire stopped the car infront of the house and as Joyce wanted to leave the car, Claire grabbed her arm. The older woman turned to look at her.
"Tomorrow, 7 o'clock?" Joyce nodded and with a smile she left the car. Claire waited until she was in the house and the door was closed. With a bright smile on her face she left, excited to tell Robin about the latest events.
"You'll never believe what just happened. I need you out of the house tomorrow." Robin hadn't even closed the door yet but Claire already threw the words at her.
"Ok, chill. I really have to pee. After that you can tell me." Claire rolled her eyes but accepted and walked back to sit down on the sofa.
Her thoughts directly wandered to Joyce, just thinking about her made her feel like a teenager again. It felt like there were thousands of butterflys in her stomach. She had never felt like this before.
"Claire? Hello, earth to Claire?!" Robin was wildly waving her hands in front of Claires face to get her attention. "So what did you want to tell me, huh?" Claire immediately started to smile like an absolute idiot.
"I did it. I asked Joyce out. And...she said yes! Can you believe it. We have a date tomorrow at 7 o'clock. I'll cook for her. That why I'll need you out of here at least until the next morning. You never now what will happen." Claire winked at her sister and smiled sheepishly.
"Well thas amazing Claire. I told you it won't be bad to ask her. Honestly if I wouldn't have forced you, you would still cry about her. So you can basically thank me."
"Oh, shut up. I would have done it sooner or later."
They both laughed. Happy to have each other and to have someone who understands them.
----------------------
"Oh. Hi, Joyce. Please come in, Claire is in the kitchen. Claire! Joyce is here. I'll leave now. Bye" with that Robin closed the door behind her and Joyce was left alone in the hallway. She didn't really know what to do so she took her jacket of and went to look for Claire. Right in that moment Claire opened a door at the other end of the hallway.
"Hello Joyce. I thought my sister would have enough manners to actually show you where the kitchen is and not just leave. Come in." Joyce stepped forward unsure how to greet Claire she just looked up at her and laughed nervously.
"Do I hug you now?" Claire let out a laugh at that.
"If you want to, then yes." So Joyce stood up on her tiptoes and hugged Claire. At that Claire felt a shiver go through her whole body. She buried her head deep in Joyce's hair and felt completely at ease for the first time in a long time.
Claire let go before it got awkward and showed Joyce the living room.
"You can sit down. I'll just grab the food real quick."
"I could help."
"No." Claire protested, "You're my guest and I'll treat you as such." With that she left the room just to come back with two bowls of food a second later.
"Mhh, that smells amazing Claire." She smiled at Joyce and they started to eat.
They talked about everything that came to mind. It felt absolutely natural and they both felt comfortable around each other. This date wasn't their last one. They met multiple times after that. Never doing much more than having dinner, talking or going to the movies. But that was fine with them. They wanted to take it slow.
----------------------
It was a cold Friday evening, Claire had cooked for Joyce again and they both sat on the couch together laughing about a story Claire had just told about her sister. Joyce laughed so sincerely that Claire just stopped and looked at her in awe. She was so damn beautiful. Without really noticing Claire got closer to Joyce. When she opened her eyes again, Claire was so close to her that she stopped laughing abruptly out of shock.
"I..., Claire what are you doing?"
"If you won't protest I would like to kiss you." Joyce eyes grew wide in shock. She guessed it was logical that all the dates would lead to this but still she wasn't sure how to feel about this. She knew that she wanted it but still she still couldn't believe that Claire was sincere in her intention.
Joyce backed away a little.
"I.., Claire if all of this. All the dates, the cooking was just to get into my pants, I can assure you there is nothing grande under those clothes. So you should search for someone your age for that." Claire felt a wave of sadness wash over her. Did Joyce actually believe that? Didn't she make clear that she liked her?
"Joyce, please listen to me." She took Joyce's hands in hers and looked at her with all the sincerity and love she had in her.
"All of the things that I did for you, all the dates we had, all the hours we sat here talking, laughing about stupid things. All of this, I did because I really like you. Because I enjoy your company. And if I wanted to kiss you or sleep with you, that's just because I think your stunning, I feel butterflys everytime I look at you and I want you. Not anyone else, just you. But if you don't want all of that. That's ok, we don't have to do this."
"But why me? I'm not special, neither me as a person nor the way I look. I'm just Joyce."
"And that's exactly what I want. You, Joyce. With all your flaws, all you fears, insecurities and problems. You are beautiful, please you have to belive me. I've had this crush on you since I've known you and it took all the courage in me to ask you out, because I thought you would never want to date me. So know that you allowed me to be such an intimate part of your life and let me get to know you even more, I want to protect you with all I have and make you understand how wonderful you are. I've realised that what I feel for you is so much more than a crush." Joyce let out a shy laugh at that and stroked a strand of hair out of Claires face.
"I don't think anyone has ever said something so beautiful to me." Claire grabbed Joyce's face and before she could overthink it, she kissed her.
It was by all means not a perfect kiss, but it was full if love and desire. It felt like all the butterflys in Claires stomach wanted to break out. And the feeling made it perfect, better than any other kiss could ever be.
Claire's hand slowly wandered down to start unbuttoning Joyce shirt. She stopped for a second to wait for consent. When Joyce slightly nodded, she took the shirt of and threw it to the floor. She pushed Joyce's hair aside and started to kiss her neck and then her shoulder. She slowly pushed Joyce down until she was laying in front of her and continued kissing her, while slowly wandering down to her breasts.
"Take it off, take your shirt of." Claire stopped to follow Joy's request. To Joyce surprise Claire wasn't wearing a bra, so she was practically naked in front of her.
"Claire, I think you should know, that I have never slept with a woman before." Joyce looked at Claire with an apologising smile. Claire moved up and kissed Joyce passionately.
"I don't care." She grabbed her waist and pulled her closer to her. She wanted to feel all of Joyce skin on hers. While kissing her, her hand slowly opened Joyce pants and started to move them down a bit. She could feel Joyce lift up her hips against her. It drove her crazy how much she wanted that woman. She never thought something like this would be possible.
As the pants landed on the floor, Claire started kissing her way down Joyce's body and grabbed behind her to open the bra that was still covering Joyce's breasts. When she moved up a little to look at Joyce, she covered her body. So Claire shoved her hands away. "Don't. You look amazing. I want to see you." She started slightly kissing her breasts and took one nipple in her mouth while pinching the other one. Joyce tried to suppress a moan but failed as Claire sucked harder. "Please, I want to hear you. Let it out." At that Joyce moaned again, this time not trying to suppress anything. At that sound Claire's vagina pulsated and her whole body got goosebumps. She started wandering further down and took of the panties, that were the only item of clothing Joyce was still wearing. Joyce clenched to the cushions closest to her while Claire started kissing and licking her already wet cunt. With one hand Joyce shoved Claire deeper into her and held onto her hair. "Oh god, Claire...please" Claire stopped much to Joyce disappointment and looked up. "Please what? Use your words.", "Please I need more, please fuck me", Claire chuckled, amused by Joyce's neediness. "Your wish is my command." With that she resumed her actions but also slowly put two fingers inside her. Joyce's was already throbbing from lust. The moaning got louder and fastly turned into a kind of lustful and erotic screaming. Something Claire had never heard before but it turned her on quite alot. "Claire, please. I'm gonna come.. I...Oh god, that feels amazing." With a last loud scream Joyce came with Claires name on her lips.
Claire slowly moved up to Joyce and kissed her.
"Thank you, I never knew sex could feel like this." Claire smiled at her and stood up  she reached out for Joyce and took her to the bedroom, where they fell asleep curled up together.

hey! i haven’t requested anything on tumblr before so i’m a bit nervous about this BUT i saw a tiktok yesterday with robin headcanons and one of them mentioned how he would have two little siblings that he helps look after because his father died in vietnam?? and his mum works long hours?? then one of the comments said that they see him with an older sibling who lives away from him and his mum? so i was wondering what the others (and robins) home life would be like through your eyes. ( if not just ignore :D )
Tumblr media
The Black Phone's characters with siblings:
Including: Vance Hopper, Bruce Yamada, Robin Arellano, Finney Blake
Tw: none
Author's note: Hii! Can I say that I absolutely LOVE your request?? And also sorry for posting this late, I'm still sick af 💀👍
Vance Hopper:
- DO I COMPLETELY IMAGINE VANCE WITH A LITTLE SISTER?? YES.
- Like he is a though boy, always ready to punch someone in the face if they mess with him, but if they mess with his little sister?? Prepare for great troubles 💀
- He's super protective!! If possible he always has an eye on his little sister ( we're talking about a 10 year old-ish girl ) and is kinda reassured whenever he notices that she's happy, playing with her friend 😭
- Someone mentioned the fact that Vance is a momma's boy, so he'll definitely act like a second mom to his sister, telling her to eat her veggies, asking if she's done with her homework or if she needs help to finish them!
- But he can also be a little more strict, and if his sister steps on the line, he can turn into a crackhead 💀
- "- Come back here you little shit, I'm gonna shove those fucking glitters down your throat so you'll get that 'fairy taste' you're asking for--"
Bruce Yamada:
- BEST.BROTHER.EVER
- I feel like he would have a little brother who loves to play baseball with him, coming to his match to support him or if he can't he'll prepare a surprise party with his parents to celebrate Bruce's win 🥲
- I also feel like Bruce and his brother would spend all of their Sundays watching iconic baseball matchs on their TV, commenting on special actions each members are doing even though they've seen it for what is like a fifth time
- Bruce would personally bring his brother to school on his bike!! On the way he would give him some advices on how to perform his throw because he is also playing in his school's baseball team 😭👍
- Like Bruce really is a model for him! And he always tells about his friends how cool he is, how talented he is and how popular he is 😫
- But trust me, whenever one of them does something bad ( like braking a vase for instance ) THEY WOULD DEADASS ACCUSE ONE ANOTHER--
- "- What? No mom I didn't broke your vase, I saw that 'lil bro's name' did it will he was running in the living room!"
Robin Arellano:
- A LITERAL VERSION OF VANCE BUT NICER.
- So like you said, Robin would have two little siblings and a big sister who's not living with them, and knowing that his dads dead and his mom works long hours, Robin his the master of the house!
- Robin his really organized, he follows his mom's rules and knows how to apply them! He wakes up a bit early in order to prepare his little siblings school lunches, packing them and putting them in their bags!
- Checks if what they are wearing is appropriate for school and the weather 🥲 If he has a little sister, he would definitely help her doing her hair!! He knows a lot of hairstyles like ponytails, braids, piggy tails etc...
- Before letting them go into the school bus, Robin always tells them that if anyone does something bad to them, they must tell him and he would beat their ass!
- He's not a pro when it comes to cooking, but he is always trying to cook healthy meals, lending his mom's cooking book if necessary 🥹
Finney Blake :
- So we know that Finn's got Gwen and an abusive father, so he daily has to look after her, knowing that his dad can get a little too carried away when he's drunk.
- Once after his dad had beaten Gwen while Finney was asleep, he made sure to not let Gwen alone ever again in her room. So from now on they sleep in the same bed, regardless of the fact that their dad thinks it's weird
- Their relation is fifty-fifty : Finney looks after Gwen at home and Gwen looks after Finney at school ( and most because of his bullies )
- Finney makes sure to secure everything that triggers his dad anger so that Gwen will not make him mad! Like he secures loud stuffs, tried to hide his dad's belt and so on!
- Doesn't know how to braid hair unlike Robin, but Gwen's always willing to make him learn because when someone's brushing her hair, she likes to close her eyes and pretend it's her mom doing it 😔
- Sometimes, after Finn and Gwen's dad yelled at them, they like to comfort each other by cuddling, whispering how bad they want him to be dead and to run away from here

i adore your fic recs your taste is truly >>>> do you have any recs for damian and steph i love them so dearly and i need to read more fics with them :’)
i am so glad you like them <3 and YES!! I DO!! they are so so wonderful. truly the best duo ever and i wish dc hadn't forgotten what an awesome big sister steph was to damian when he first joined the batfam, or how they worked together later on as batgirl and robin !!! i hope you will enjoy these :]
STEPH AND DAMIAN FIC RECS ON AO3
in this quiet company (i forget sometimes, just how to breathe) by emavee
Steph and Damian kill time in Gotham and Damian tries his best not to experience Emotions. Oh, and there's ice cream.
MY NOTES: oh i am so fond of this fic forever. so sweet. stephanie is truly the sister of all time and damian is such a little brother oh wow there are tears in my eyes thinking about the marvelous damian introspection
Nearly-normal-almost-family by glitter_in_my_eyes
Steph hasn't worked with the new Batman and Robin duo long, but she doesn't hesitate to come when they call for backup. Their family's a little rough around the edges, but she'll do what she can to smooth things out.
MY NOTES: if you hear an explosion it's me bursting into a million tiny sad pieces at the thought of the steph dick and damian family dynamic during what was arguably the worst time for everyone. they are so complicated to me and i appreciate the way this fic focuses on that complexity but also the care between them all. so lovely
the spillways of your soul by paperxcrowns
She trips over a root hidden by the snow and swears loudly.
“Do you want them to hear us?” Damian grouses.
She sends him a vicious glare. “You try running in the woods in the dead of winter wearing high heels.”
Damian wrinkles his nose, but thankfully doesn’t make any further comments. Steph doesn’t move for a few minutes and instead focuses on catching her breath.
MY NOTES: only the steph and damian fic of all time. nothing says sibling bonding like near death experiences when stranded in the wilderness. truly my favourite batfam trope.
-> this author also has ANOTHER steph and damian get kidnapped and almost die escaping into the wilderness fic called 'you're just a little bit too much like me.'
do you ever think of me and my two hands by Le_tap_22
Stephanie has never thought, and will never think, of Damian as her child. He’s a child, sure. Bruce’s child, Dick’s child, Talia’s child. But not hers.
He’s her little asshole younger brother. But sometimes when she sits beside him— like now under the soft light of the sun shining through the curtain in the Manor’s library as she watches him write a letter to send to his mother— she feels a deep, almost indescribable emotion well up inside her.
Not for him, but for Talia.
Or, Damian and Stephanie sit together in the Manor’s library, two opposite halves of similar pictures.
MY NOTES: so i never considered this connection before, but after stumbling upon this my entire life has changed forever (very positive connotations). the way talia is written through stephs eyes, and the way stephs outlook on this aspect of her life is written is very special to me and i love this fic a lot
The Not-Babysitter by Hinn_Raven
Steph is volunteered to babysit Damian on his trip to the zoo, much to Damian's consternation. But an encounter with Steph's college classmates might force Damian to admit that things aren't so bad with her around.
MY NOTES: Hinn_Raven is by far my favourite steph writer and i can not recommend this writer enough!!! such a fun protective little brother damian fic
The Stories Between Us by DawnsEternalLight
Sometimes Damian doesn’t mind having someone in the room with him while he paints. When he allows Stephanie to study during one such painting session, he learns something about her past she never should have gone through, and it is his turn to comfort his sister. After all he too has dealt with issues of dying and guilt.
MY NOTES: if dc have decided to never bring up war games and what happened to steph then i have no choice but to find the angst in fics. this one is just. amazing. i need it inside my brain forever. there's a specific thing damian brings up about what steph means to him that literally made me tear up and yeah. im so okay about it
Top-Secret Mission to the Library by pennysparrow
Damian needs a book and only the Gotham University Library seems to have it, so he has to ask Stephanie for assistance.
MY NOTES: to end this off here is such a sweet and nice read. so adorable. damian the little guy that you are.
