I hate people who are like “go read the comics” or “this is so OOC” or “x would never do/say that”
Because like, when it comes to the Batfam/young heroes, canon is SO confusing:
Both teen titans/titans and Young Justice are Canon, but they can’t exist at the same time since Dick and Tim have been on both teams
In teen titans/TTG miss martian/m’gann and Artemis don’t exist (the same with Aqualad I think)
And in YJ starfire, cyborg, and raven don’t exist.
In TTG starfire doesn’t like Robin back, but in teen titans they’re dating.
In TTG Robin hated Kidflash, but in YJ Dick and Wally are best friends.
In both TTG, Teen titans, and TITENS, Dick is the Robin on the team, but in the DCAMU Damian is Robin and his love interest is Raven.
In the comics Jason is the happy, exited, and impulsive Robin, but in TITANS he’s super aggressive and just not like he is in the comics
In YJ Conner is vastly different from In the comics.
In the comics Artemis, Roy(Arsenal), Kory(starfire) and Jason(red hood) are in a group called ‘The Outlaws’, but in other comics, and shows they don’t even exist together.
In YJ Artemis joins the YJ, but Roy gives up being speedy and becomes Red Arrow. In YJ it’s revealed that Roy is actually a clone of the original, and the OG ends up becoming Arsenal, though totally different from his comic counterpart.
And as icing on the cake, Kory doesn’t even exist in YJ.
Some of the comics also totally fuck up canon, along with some of the games (like Gotham knights), but I’ve never played the games or read the comics, so I can’t really say a lot about that.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that people should let others enjoy their media in peace, even if it’s OOC to what you believe is “true canon”
(NOTE: I’ve seen a lot of people both defend and hate on new 52 because of the direct opposition it has with other comics, yet it is still canon. It just goes to show that nothing and everything is canon, no one is right and no one is wrong.)

If I could choose one element of the Percy Jackson universe for Rick to elaborate on, it would without a doubt be the Hunters of Artemis.
What exactly do they hunt?
How often is Artemis with them?
What are the exact limits of their immortality?
Do they travel the world, or just the continental US?
How many of them are there?
Do any of them regret their decisions?
Can you choose to leave, or are you bound for life unless you fall in love?
What is Thalia and Reyna's dynamic like post ToA?
How long does it really take for Thalia to recover from Jason's death (if ever)?
There is SO MUCH untapped potential here I am kind of in disbelief that we got a standalone Solangelo novel before a spinoff with the Hunters? And with a whole Apollo centric spinoff series we don't get a single short story from Artemis's pov???
Come on my inner aroace lesbian child has been waiting for this 10+ years 😤

Nico is a Baby, Bianca is Alive (The Separation)
Before the cabins decided they'll take turns watching over Nico while Bianca is away, Percy and Annabeth were the only ones Bianca trusted to look after him.
Bianca: And make sure he eats his vegetables.
Percy: We know, Bianca.
Bianca: If he eats sweets, make sure that he drinks water after.
Percy: *repeats what she's saying* Yeah, yeah. We know. You already told us like 15 times
Bianca: *sigh* Sorry. I never left him for so long.
Percy: He'll be fine with us. We promise. Annabeth will give him a one-on-one teaching, I'll make sure he wont get hurt during training.
Bianca: *narrows her eyes*
Percy: And we'll both see to it that he eats healthy and gets enough sleep.
Bianca: ...Uh huh
Nico, running to them: PERCY! PERCY! C'MON! You promised to play Mythomagic wirh me *drags him off*
Percy: *dragged off* Ok, ok
Annabeth, walking up to Bianca:
Bianca: Hope he wont be too much work.
Annabeth: Eh, he's been a delight so far. He's kinda like a mini Percy
Bianca: Now that kinda worries me
Annabeth: *chuckles*
Bianca: Maybe I shouldn't go. I'll just tell Lady Artemis that I'll go next solstice.
Annabeth: Are you kidding me? Bianca, you get to travel the whole entire world. You shouldn't miss out on that, especially after spending 70 years in that hotel
Bianca: I know. It's just...I'm starting to think that maybe I rushed into the decision.
Annabeth: Hey, you have every right to be join out of interest. And Nico's happy for you. Sure it took some time but he is. Sone time apart will do you two some good.
Bianca: You really think I'm doing the right thing here?
Annabeth: I think you deserve to find out who you really are. And that's not gonna happen if you're always gonna be concerned with the well being of other people over your own.
Thalia, entering: Bianca. Ready to go?
Bianca: *looks at Annabeth*
Annabeth: *smiles*
Bianca: ...Nico!
Nico: *goes over to her then sees Thalia* You have to go now?
Bianca: Yeah.
Nico: *hugs her tightly*
Bianca: *hugs back*
Nico: Is there anything I can do to make you stay?
Bianca: ... *slowly pulls away* Nico. You know that I can't always be by your side, right? I can't always look after you.
Nico: Yeah, but-
Bianca: You need to be a big boy, now. You need to learn how to do things without me.
Nico: B-but, I don't know how to be a big boy.
Bianca: That's why people here will help you. People like Annabeth and Percy will help you.
Nico: But why can't you teach me?
Bianca: ...because I need to grow up, too.
Nico: *hugs her again* You'll come and visit me right?
Bianca: Of course I will. Every chance I get.
Nico: And you'll send me post cards?
Bianca: I'll try to send you one every week to tell you where I am and what I did.
Thalia, putting her hand on her shoulder: It's time to go.
Bianca:
Nico: *lets her go*
Bianca: Tell you what? How 'bout I let the trainers teach you how to shoot an arrow?
Nico, sparkle in his eyes: REALLY?!
Bianca: Yeah, it'll be good on you to know how to fight monsters. And if you guys beat us in Capture the Flag next time, I'll let them teach you how to use a sword.
Nico, sparkles in his eyes: *gaaasssp* Percy! Annie! You heard that? I get to use a sword!
Bianca: *soft smile then looks at Thalia*
Thalia: Let's go.
Bianca:
Nico:
Bianca: *kisses his forehead* Arrivederci, soldatino.
Nico: Arrivederci, amata sorella

Headcanons for Hera’s relationships and dynamics with the second gen Olympians?
Sure thing! There are some HCs where Hera might be painted in a bad light, but rest assured that I have no ill-thought of her. They are simply how I think she and some of the second-generation Olympians view each other.
Hera gets along with Athena and Persephone the most. Not only because these two were born before her marriage to Zeus so she doesn't hate them, but they also hold positions that can be near or equal to her (Athena is the unofficial heir and Persephone is Queen of the Underworld)
Hera and Athena have no problem becoming allies in the Trojan War. If it weren't for Zeus' No Intervention policy, Hera's power and Athena's wisdom combined would make the Greeks win easily.
They also watched over Jason and the Argonauts together, helping them in every way in their journey. But in the end, Athena had to talk Hera out of her fury when Jason cheated on his wife so the Queen wouldn't smite Jason herself.
Hera was Persephone's mentor, teaching her about queenship. Girl was a farmer goddess one day and suddenly became a queen in the next so she had no idea how to be royalty. Hera had to guide her step by step in how to run a kingdom.
Hera was extremely pissed at Hades for abducting Persephone. Sure, their marriage was legit according to law, but she was angry at him as a protector of women.
The only thing more complicated than topology mathematics is Hera and Ares' relationship.
Ares' loyalty to his mother was predominant, but not unchallenged. The two most significant times Ares actively defied Hera were engaging in adultery with Aphrodite and supported the Trojans. Hera was seething when her son was against her, but also heart-broken.
Hera loves Ares and expects a lot from him, but her son is like a reflection of her and Zeus' darker side. Seeing his rage in the battlefield reminds Hera of her own wrathfulness that she doesn't like to admit.
But that doesn't mean Hera have nothing to be proud of with her son. Ares never settled down in marriage, but he is respectful of his lovers and holds all of his children dear. Hera finds condolence that despite her never being the best mother, Ares doesn't pass down the generational trauma.
Hera and Hephaestus' relationship isn't as complicated... but it runs cold. Aside from Hephaestus' revenge on Hera with a magic throne and Hera approved Hephaestus' divorce with Aphrodite, they didn't talk much anymore.
Although Hera had stopped persecuting Artemis and Apollo since they'd became Olympians, she still jabbed them every once in a while. The twins will ignore most of the time until she mentions Leto.
Hera hated how Zeus spoiled Artemis and let her get away with things. She deemed his favoritism will make Artemis disrespect the law and cause more ruckus.
If Zeus couldn't do it, then as the head matriarch, Hera would be the one keep the wild girl Artemis in line. The Trojan War thing is an example.
The first major milestone for Hera and Apollo's relationship improvement is when they eat one peaceful lettuce meal together. No jabbing, no snarking, just crunching lettuce. It was then Hera found Apollo's presence to be more tolerable.
When Hebe was born, the Olympians who had tensed relationship with Hera took it as a chance to make peace with her by providing magnificent gifts for the girl.
I assume Hebe cried a lot when she was born, and she suddenly won't stop crying during her presenting party. When the other gods failed to calm her down with their gifts, Apollo soothed Hebe with his music. This earned him the true respect of Hera.
Although Hera is more accepting toward Hermes than Zeus' other illegitimate children, she still side-glanced him for dating Iris, her handmaiden.
Dionysus had to run away from Hera most of his childhood. When Dionysus became an Olympian, Hera ceased fire like with the twins, but peace wasn't truly restored until much later.
When Dionysus married Ariadne, Hera finally softened when she saw how much he loved and upheld his wife. Just be loyal to your spouse and the Queen of Olympus will spare you.

Cabin 8- The Hunters of Artemis - Headcanons
Once camp is set up, the hunters like to roast marshmallows, make smores, try to see how many marshmallows can fit in their mouths and try to stay up all night
They also like to 'argue' during battles like "Thalia why would you bring 11 arrows to a battle?!" "I don't know Eliza! Hawkeye did it once in a film!" "Who the hell is hawkeye!"
After Zoë had gone, each hunter, when they think everyone else is asleep at night, likes to look up at the stars and mourn the death of their fallen sister, even Artemis
They're all very welcoming of trans girls pledging their aligence to Artemis
Every hunter is banned from all target shops from when Thalia started a game and wrecked the shop
After Thalia had fallen in battle, it became a story of how Lieutenant Thalia Grace was given a great prophercy went nope and joined the hunters
At one point, an aro/ace camper decides she wants to join the hunt and Artemis gives her the whole speech of having to swear off men and her response was so sarcastic and sassy it would've made Percy proud like "oh what a shame". Artemis immediately sees her potential
She became the lieutenant after Thalia
Thalia had mentioned Reyna to Artemis, who then wanted a private chat with her, Nico was there when Reyna was told and stopped her begging she didn't go, they last person he knew who talked to Artemis privately was Bianca
Sometimes Artemis will randomly turn up to the Apollo cabin to tell embarrassing stories about her brother

Rachel Elizabeth Dare chose to swear an oath of celibacy to the god Apollo as a part of gaining her oracular abilities. This entails visions of the future that she expresses through paint, green smoke bellowing from her mouth at inconvenient times, and being immune to divine retribution (and possibly being injured by literally anything?)
But… what if she swore an oath to his sister too?
Rachel Elizabeth Dare, daughter of mortals, chosen of the Sun and Moon. Immortal and ageless. Eternally prophetic. Can shoot an arrow through a keyhole. Can slay any monster and piss off any god. Her predecessor was cursed by Hades to never enter the Underworld…. Damn, that sucks. Too bad she’ll be 17 forever anyway.
Imagine fighting someone that see more clearly than any other creature (even some gods can be tricked by the mist in ways clearsighted mortals cannot) *can read normally and has an attention span*, can foresee your every move, and *you can’t even touch bc they are divinely protected*.
Her two oaths are:
I accept this role. I pledge myself to Apollo, God of Oracles. I open my eyes to the future and embrace the past. I accept the spirit of Delphi, Voice of the Gods, Speaker of Riddles, Seer of Fate.
I pledge myself to the Goddess Artemis. I turn my back on the company of men, accept eternal maidenhood, and join the Hunt.
Also imagine the twins bickering abt which one of them Rachel gets her archery skills from (it’s both. But mostly Artemis). She’d also be able to illuminate herself w moonlight and maybe have like a Will moment and glow like the sun too.
Also also imagine the only daughter of the highest god (above the age of 2), the daughter of war itself (sister to the Amazons, child of Rome, apprentice of the greatest sorceress in history), and the chosen vessel of the Sun descending upon you with a firing squad of silver arrows and two dozen other equally talented girls.
Let my girl be a badass plz and ty

Delphinia
~ 6 (or 7) Mounykhion ~
Celebrating Apollon and Aretmis, Delphinia kicked off with unmarried girls proceeding to their shrine/temple on the bank of the Ilissos River.
Tumblr media
Girls carried branches of olive wrapped in white wool in honor to Apollon. Delphinia is thought to be in dedication to Apollon as a god who controlled the sea and fair travel as Theseus had prayed to him for his fallen companions before he set sail.
While in mythos Theseus is connected to Apollon it is more likely that this day was in celebration to his twin, Artemis, as it falls on her holy day. In this sense, the women asked for Artemis' protection and favor. Similarly, maidens were associated with Artemis, not Apollon.
Tumblr media
Modern Hellenist can observe this day by celebrating both the Twins, though I recommend separate. An unmarried women might wish to offer to Artemis for protection and Apollon for fair travels. Men and non-binary people might wish to offer to Artemis for thanks for the protection of women, good hunting, travel at night, or anything else and Apollon for fair travel. You may also wish to thank the Twins for anything they might have done recently for you, or simply offering in thanks to build Kharis.
Traditional Offerings:
Offering of Olive branches in white wool (or yarn/ribbon)
Symbols of Artemis (deer, bows, arrows, antlers, the moon)
Symbols of Apollon (the sun, chariots, bows, arrows, lyre, poetry)
Traditional Acts
Offerings to Artemis and Apollon as Twins
Offerings to Artemis as the protector of unmarried women and young girls
Offerings to Apollon for fair travel
Singing Hymns to the Twins
Khaire Artemis! Khaire Apollon! 🌘🏹☀️
