Here’s to hoping that every single person with schizophrenia or a schizoaffective disorder or DID or NPD or any other ridiculously demonized mental illnesses has a wonderful day

it makes me sad to see so many non-ADHD allistic neurodivergent people be shocked when they find out they do in fact "count" as neurodivergent (or even autistic or adhd people who are shocked to find out their other things Count as neurodivergent) bc they have been convinced by online communities that only ADHD and autism (and maybe anxiety) are neurodivergencies

Not gonna lie, the Tumblr disability community reminds me so much of the Tumblr queer community. Who's enough to be included? Who's allowed to say they relate to who? Why don't we all just stay in our boxes and make sure we never mix? Who's word is this exactly? Just constant infighting that doesn't actually help any of us.
Both come with a breath of fresh air when you go talk to someone irl and get away from the internet's love of exact definitions and who fits them.

A tough part of emotional dysregulation is how childish it makes you feel. Like, needing to have a cry about an appointment you don't want to go to instead of just getting on with it “like an adult”. I really don't want to go but I have to and it benefits me in the long run but my brain melts down into full on “it's so unfair mode”

I hate that no one talks about just how distressing memory loss from adhd actually is. I always see memes that are like “haha I forgot my phone, I don’t remember where my laptop is, etc”, but no one seems to talk about how it can really fuck you up long term to just, not remember things that are completely mundane to non-adhd’ers. The memory loss is, however, so frustrating to us. I cannot physically count how many meltdowns I have had over the sheer mental frustration and torture of not being able to remember seemingly simple things

However, a day or two have been taken off work and I shall try to relax with special interests, my weighted blanket, wearing soft clothes that won't cause any sensory issues and not leaving the house for the day, also to avoid sensory issues that I know I'm going to be more sensitive about today.
We're all about making sure this doesn't turn into any meltdowns or shut downs.
[Special interests in question are knitting and Sauron]

I've added a completely new activity to my weekly routine. It is an important activity. As such, my body has taken the appropraite action of making sure the anxiety hasn't let me breath comfortably for days T_T

Here is the comic series I promised with my last post!
Part 1/4
Part 2 will be neurological explanations,
Part 3&4 will be actual tips and tricks!
Please know that I’m not intentionally withholding the next parts, they’re just not finished yet and making this series takes so much time. So much Layouting to not make all this info a wall of text! That being said I hope I can upload part 2 next week to my patreon
