#The Batfam in this AU who go about like normal people during the day but are Dramatic Nightmares come nighttime
Text
Fake Cryptids, Real Ghosts
Ok, so dp x dc/batfam because this AU has me by the throat but what if it's the fake cryptid batfamily AU who never joined the JL.
Just...imagine it. The Batfamily has been protecting Gotham quietly but fiercely by scaring the daylights out of criminals as creatures that go bump in the night. A bit of stage magic, frightening method acting, contortion, a whole language comprised of chirps, growls, and body language, and the best tech possible and you've got a recipe for striking fear into the hearts of everyone.
They've got shrines on the rooftops, vaguely on the JL radar (Cause really, who's gonna believe that Gotham, one of the worst cities has a demon problem? Constantine? Homeboy took one look at Gotham and went Nope.) and they're protected cause any self respecting Gothamite wouldn't go spilling the beans to Outsiders. The Bats keep them safe. Who would believe them anyways?
Enter half dead, half alive Danny Fenton.
Danny Fenton who has a best friend's named Tucker and Sam who find out about the Gotham Cryptids, and go absolutely ham on research because here lies something,a bunch of someone's who are Other. Maybe they're creepy but they're cool and they're Heroes and they help people.
Sure, at first it was an attempt from Sam and Tucker to help their best friend feel less alone in the face of other, more 'normal' heroes and people out there in the world. Maybe they try to further bury the Bats online cause if anyone understands keeping on the down low, it would be Amity Parker's. For awhile, Danny Fenton, sometimes Phantom is simply happy to know he's not alone.
Then he's outed and his sister who's long since been ecto-contaiminated is put at risk there's nowhere that seems safer. Gotham is a chaotic city, even without the Bats factoring in. After all Gotham has (Demons-Spirits-Creatures?) The Bats already. Who would care if a halfa and his sister hide out there? As long as they're respectful of their territory, it'll be fine right? Besides, they've got to warn the Bats anyways about the GIW and government. They're coming after ghosts, who knows if they'll be next? Spooky things have to look out for each other after all.
Cue shenanigans as Phantom who stops hiding all of his creepier traits as a ghost walks up to the Totally Human but Faking it Batman with really thoughtful gifts for all of their shrines (And one fruitcake), no heartbeat and an earnest plea for a safe haven in their Haunt because the Ancients taught him manners and the importance of respecting another entities territory.

Pokemon Teams for Fictional Characters pt. 2
Damian Wayne
(Also, I'm not including move sets because in my headcannon Pokemon do remember all their old moves. But humans choose to only use four)
For this AU I'm having the Wayne's own the Gotham City Gym, which specializes in Dark types. Most of the cannon events still happened. Just with a few tweaks here and there. (Dick's 20, Jason's 16, Cass is 15 Tim's 15 but younger than Cass and Damian's 13 because I love AUs where there closer in age).
Anyway here we go!
Tumblr media
First things first in the Pokemon Universe his alias wouldn't be Robin since they don't exist. Instead I think it would be Rookidee, since thats the closest Pokemon to a Robin.
His Partner Pokemon and ace would be a Gligar
Tumblr media
Name: Goliath
Gender: Male
Why: Gligar screams Goliath (his Batdragon) plus the coloring of his evolutions matches with Dami's Robin and Batman outfits
Story: He found Goliath while climbing a mountain for his training. At the time he was four and Goliath was a hatching. Damian ended up giving him some food, seeing that the hatching was hungry.
Grateful, the Gligar followed him hoping to return the favor.
When Damian's hand got broken on that same trip, Goliath was the one to help him finish his mission and get home safely.
Talia was impressed that Damian could tame a wild Pokemon without catching it, so she allowed him to keep him as his first Pokemon.
-----
Next he would have a Meowth
Tumblr media
Name: Alfred
Gender: Female
Why: This one has to do with its evolution. Persian are said to only be loyal to trainers it likes and that it takes a lot to get them to like you. Their also said to be prissy and uptight. This reminded me of Damian. How it took forever for him to trust his brothers and his own snobby attitude. Thus I think it fits.
Story: After coming to live with his father Damian didn't know how to act. He saw his "brothers" and father treating their Pokemon so different than how the League did. They all trained hard. But, there was something eles: warm praise for a job well done, asking for insight on a case (they had taught their bipedal pokemon sighn language) and comfort on a bad day. His father and brothers treated their Pokemon like... people
In the League Pokemon where the lowest soldier, lower than the slaves or concubines. They trained, ate then they had to and got in their ball.
He had been a little more lenient in his training with Goliath. When asked he said that he was still a baby and he had to take things slow in this stage or he might develop too much muscle mass and be unable to fly.
He had kept him out of his ball with the excuse of developing muscle mass at a proper pace.
He liked Goliath's company. The Gligar was a good companion. But on the same level as another person?
He had expressed these thoughts to Pennyworth, the only person in the house to give him a straight answer when he needed it.
Pennyworth had explained to him that some people love to hold power over others and that Pokemon where an easy target, since they couldn't communicate their emotions as clearly as people could.
"Think of Mistress Cain. She sometimes cannot communicate with words, but we know that she's intelligent. But some people see her as less than intelligent and treat her as such because of the power it gives them."
Two weeks later Damian would come across a group of teenagers attempting to shave a Meowth. The Pokemon was little more than skin and bone and crying out on pain. So, Damian broke their fingers and shaved part of their heads for good measure.
He kept the Meowth and named her after the man who taught him about the abuse of power.
---
Next, a Poochyena
Tumblr media
Name: Titus
Gender: Male
Why: These Pokemon and their evolution are ruthless with their pray, and only obey trainers with external skill.
Story: Raven gave Damian Titus as a gift. She said that she rescued him from an underground fighting ring (where the battles are to the death). He was still to young to battle so he didn't need much rehabilitation. The other Pokemon there though...
---
Now we have a Type Null
Tumblr media
Name: Heretic
Gender: ???
Why: This Pokemon was created in lab, and artificial designed for the purpose of fighting, just like Damian. True I could have given him Mewtwo, but that cat seems to fit Kon more.
Story: Damian's mother had spent years creating Type: Null with the purpose of being able to kill any target. As a last test she wanted to see which of her creations was suppirrior. So she sent the Type Null out to (try and) kill her son.
Damian, with the rest of his team, beat the Pokemon but couldn't kill it. He had long since vowed to wash the blood from his hands. Instead he offered his hand to it and asked it to join him.
---
Here we have the hardest to explain... Mimikyu
Tumblr media
Name: Habibi (I hope I spelled that right)
Gender: Female
Why: Damian is complex, he wants to be accepted and loved just like Mimikyu but dosent know how. Both try to mimic others in order to get that love, Damian his father and Mimikyu Pikachu. So I see this as Damian's spirit Pokemon in a way.
Story: He didn't know why it was so hard to fit in. Gods know he tried. But... little things confused him. Like how eveyone could understand each other without words or singhing. He had no problems with that on a battlefield, but in day to day life; it felt like he was on a separate server.
Like how Todd knew at breakfast with just a look that Drake was in a bad mood and how to help. Or how Grayson could audomadicly tell what kind of day at school the rest of them had withen a few minutes. Hell even Drake could tell what grunts ment what from father! Which ment good job, Which ment I'm glade your okay, or frustration either at them or at a case (Cass didn't surprise him, she had to learn how to communicate without words and watch body language and micro expressions).
School was no better; sometimes it was to load or bright othertimes, when everyone was doing a test, it felt to quiet. But, to much or to little, Damian was always aware of every movement, every sound. It was like the very instincts that saved his life every night where turned against him.
He turned to his nearly forgotten childhood habits to distract himself from everything around him. That only led to more whisper shouting and what even he could tell where displeased glares with a grunt of "fucking tapping" or a snap of "stop!" He knew it was disrupting but it was all be could do to drown out the noise or silence.
On one particularly bad day at school; apparently during one of their tests one of his classmates had had enough of Damian's tapping and decided to make a scene.
There was some yelling from the kid. A few cries in agreement. Before the teacher had gotten hem to settle down. He had demanded that Damian look him in the eye and when he finally did told him to stop with the tapping or else he would be sent to the office, Gym Leaders son or not.
He was the last to finish that test where he normally finished first. The silence had been to load!!
After that clusterfuck Damian finally headed home. He had texted Grayson saying that he was meeting a friend somewhere to work on a project and to not pick him up. In truth he didn't want his brother reading what kind of day he had had. He needed some time to himself.
That was how he found himself in a nearby park. It was filled with plenty of sounds that didn't suffocate him and the fall leaves where soothing to his eyes. Damian had Titus out of his ball as company, knowing that the pup loved park walks.
They had been walking for an hour when they came across a box set off just on the edge of the trail. "Free to Good Homes" was written on the side in black sharpie.
No sound was coming from inside, so he assumed that the had all been taken. Until Titus went closer sniffing at the seemingly empty box.
"Pooch Pooch"
"Hmmm... what is is it boy?" He asked as he walked closer to his Pokemon and the Box. Damian hoped he was wrong. It was cruel to leave a baby Pokemon all alone, especially since the weather was getting colder by the day.
Inside the box was in fact a lone Pokemon. At first glance it looked like a Pikachu. But something was off. It looked more like a doll than a living creature. If it wasn't for the small chirps it let out and slight way that it was shivering from the cold Damian would have written it off as a toy. No wonder it got left behind...
Damian reached down and picked up the mystery Pokemon as gently as he could.
"Come on beloved, lets go home."
He tucked the Pokemon in his jacket to warm it up before reaching for his phone to call Grayson for a ride home.
That night Damian locked himself away, even skipped patrol, and spent a sleepless night learning everything he could about his newest Pokemon.
---
That was inspired by this comic
Tumblr media Tumblr media
---
Finaly, for his last spot Eevee!!
Tumblr media
Name: Omni
Gender: Female
Why: I'm going to have all the Batfam members have an Eeveelution. This branch and the Batfam are both growing consistently. We all have our favorites but we love them all the same. So I think it fits.
Story: Everyone in the family had an Eevee or one of its evolutions. Damian's Father said that Eevee was the Wayne family symbol, it was potential, the ability to become whatever you wanted.
Though it surprised Damian that the Wayne symbol wasn't a Noibat or Noivern (Batman's ace) at first he eventually understood the logic in choosing such a Pokemon to represent the family name. That only made things harder for him being the only one not having one. Did they not truly see him as family?
On the one year anniversary of Damian arriving at The Mannor, his family through a small party. Pennyworth made his favorite foods, The Mannor was decorated in tacky streamers (Graysons' idea) and they watched some of Damian's favorite fims, their Pokemon curled up with them. His father had offered to take the day off from the gym. Until Todd suggested that Damian take on the challengers.
The Gotham gym was part of his heritage. Damian had been training for the day that he could finally help weed out the weak challengers just like his siblings sometimes did (think the battles you do before challenging a gym leader in the games).
On that day, if the challengers agreed to it, their final battle wasn't with Bruce Wayne the Dark Knight but instead his son. Most accepted thinking that it would be an easy win, that they had lucked out in not having to battle one of the stongest Gym Leaders in the League and could still get the Shadow Badge.
Those poor fools.
Damian was only allowed to use Alfred, Titus and Habibi since he used Goliath and Heretic primarily as Rookidee.
Damian fought seven trainers that day in 3v3 fights. Only two of them got the badge.
With the day overwith and the night rising, so did Gothams' protecters.
The night ended with exhausted body's and adrenaline crashes. Damian was ready to slip into a mini coma from the day he had but before he could head upstairs to The Mannor...
"Not so fast baby bat." Graysons' voice called out to him. "We got one more surprise for you."
Damian raised his eyebrow at that. What else could they do? His father came back from the locker rooms where he had been desuiting, it always took him the longest because of his "old man bones" as Todd said.
"Son," his father said "its Wayne tradition to get your first Pokemon when you turn ten years old. I missed that with you." He paused, eyes briefly shifting to the floor before they snapped back on Damian's face. "Luckily there's one tradition we didn't miss. When you've lived at The Mannor for a year or the adoption papers get finalized, I give my children this..."
He pulled a Poke'ball out of his poket and handed to Damian. "Go on son, let them out."
He did
Staring at him was his own Eevee.
---
AN: All of Damian's Pokemon (sans maybe Omni, I'm thinking of leaving her as an Eevee) will eventually evolve. Eventually.

Hi! Hope you're having a good day, I still re-read your batfam fanfics from time to time and they bring me so much joy, I was wondering if you've seen the new The Batman movie and if so if you liked it <3
Hello and thanks for your ask, phereinnike! Glad my batfam fics are still bringing you joy after all this time.
I literally just came back from watching the new Batman movie (didn't want to watch it on the most expensive day at the local cinema, but this was the only English performance they had all week T_T). Long story short, I think it's a good movie. Nothing to write home about, no lightning in a bottle like the LOTR movies, but definitely good. I'd put it up there with the Nolan trilogy. Pattinson played a perfectly servicable Batman, especially considering that this is a Batman who's only 2 years into his career. He still has a bit of tunnel vision and needs to learn a few valuable lessons (one of which seems to be "you can and should do more to help Gotham as Bruce Wayne, not Batman, but know that everyone makes mistakes and nothing is ever as simple as 'beat up thugs > lower crime' or 'spend billions on welfare > no corruption"").
Anyway, longer thoughts beneath the cut for anyone who's interested. These will be in chronological order because I kept halfway legible notes while watching it, so let's go (spoilers below):
Bruce needs better lense cameras. Yeah, they're neat in terms of how hard they are to spot, but the image quality is shit. Upgrade your stuff, Bruce.
I cannot get over Andy Serkis as Alfred. I mean he played the part well, but I half expected him to roll up his sleeve to reveal a vibranium hand cannon prosthetic in any given scene.
Those fucking bike lights are going to kill me. Seriously, this movie is awful if you are photosensitive. The cinematographer must have a front light fetish.
I love that this Batman actually takes a few painful looking hits even in normal streetfights. Nothing kills the tension of a scene faster than a superhero who goes through countless mooks without a single scratch.
Nigma as the killer reminds me of Arkham Knight's Riddler. This is not an insult. lol
I would like to thank Zoe Kravitz for reminding me that I am exceptionally bi.
That failed wingsuit landing looked incredibly painful.
I don't even want to know how many people died during that crash at the end of the car chase scene.
The new mayor seems too good to be true. We'll see.
My cinema actually had an intermission during this movie. During which they played 90s eurodance. I'm not complaining but lmao
Post intermission starts right with the ramp part of the car chase scene and it made me do something akin to a cat sprayed with water.
I live for Penguin giving Spanish lessons to Batman and Gordon lol
For a moment I was afraid they had really killed Alfred. I think I would have walked out the cinema if they had.
Okay, I love Zoe, but girl, please ditch all those piercings in your ear before you go out and do your catwomaning. That's such an injury hazard.
Martha Kane is Martha Arkham in this universe? And it sounds like she suffered from some mental issues. Not the worst AU for her ever, I guess, but still...
Okay, Riddler's lair here definitely has "Arkham Knight" written all over it.
Looking at the chat on his screen I am once again reminded that social media were a mistake.
Riddler is following exactly 0 people. Very in character. lol
"Maybe Batman is coming to an end." Silly Bruce, you haven't even adopted a single orphan yet.
Riddler's followers are part of his plan--nice twist. This is why I said: social media were a mistake.
Thanks to the excellent soundtrack (it's appropriate to its scenes without being obnoxious--I like!) I knew that it was Joker who Nigma was talking to at the end, before they even zoomed in and dropped the word "clown". Good job, Michael Giacchino!

Fem! Harry Potter AU Headcanon no.3!!!!!
Jason Todd and Fem! HP
So, RH is out investigating these new reps from a company that W.E. is considering partnering with (the Batfam is happy and healthy and I will ignore anything else). The rep, a ‘Dursley’, had brought his wife and son along and after a week of schmoozing, has taken them for a week to Disneyworld. Weirdly, they kept the apartment they rented in Gotham tho. Suspicious. So RH is tasked with seeing what’s going on at the apartment.
At first, everything seems normal. A few things left and while certainly sleazy, RH cannot find anything more incriminating than (maybe) Dursley skimming from his own company. Until he goes to pass through the living room and is confronted by a tiny baby Fem! HP who has been left behind to sleep on the sofa while Dursley takes his family to Disneyworld. RH kinda bluescreens. Fem! HP is no older than eight, looks younger and has only ben left with a frozen loaf of bread and six eggs to survive on for the week.
She asks RH if he’s one of the bad people and there is this whole thing where she goes on how her Aunt and Uncle (!!!!!) say she is one of the bad kind. Obviously, RH is not comfortable leaving her alone and she does not want to leave. He ends up staying over night to keep an eye on her and when she finally falls asleep, he slips out of the house to change and pick up some groceries before returning.
Essentially, Jason kinda burrows himself into the apartment and takes care of this tiny baby. Fem! HP calls him Jayjay, and he buys her clothes (maybe season appropriate???) and takes her to the park, the zoo etc.
After a few days of this, the Batfamily notices that RH has not been seen on the streets and wonder what is going on. Batman (and maybe Nightwing as well???) track him down and get into the apartment. Except it’s not Jason who they run into, but Fem! HP who immediately sees a tall, dark moving shadow and starts screaming. Cue a lot of yelling and crying. After telling them off, Jason ends up calming down a crying Fem! HP who is wary but does not protest when these two new people join them for movie night. (Maybe she uses this to sneakily get Jason to order pizza for dinner.)
She falls asleep sprawled across Jason on the sofa and Bruce and Dick (Jason insisted they had to take the masks off at least) are just watching in shock/awe. It is as this point that Jason explains about her family. Bruce obvs immediately starts talking about lawyers and the foster system and Jason just shuts that down. He’s already decided. He’s gonna adopt her.
With the Wayne name and money, it takes a couple days to arrest the Dursley’s and have the adoption sorted. Fem! HP still calls him Jayjay (they’re not quite there yet) and she adores him and vice versa. They are always at least holding hands if Jason is not carrying this precious smol baby. The Batfamily kinda lose their collective minds because - tiny baby - must protect - buy all the toys. Weirdly, her favourite uncle is Damian who is ‘Uncle Dami’ and she follows him around like a duckling when they visit the manor.
Somehow, no one quite predicted how much Bruce would do a one-eighty. Bye-bye Brucie, hello doting grandpa who likes to carry his grandbaby around on his hip in the pretty tutu skirts her Aunt Cass buys her (her favourite outfit to wear are the tutu skirts, the handknitted jumpers from Great-Grandpa Alfred, and her warmest pair of leggings). He cries a lot in the first few weeks. Claims its allergies. No one believes him.
After a few months, everyone is settled quite happily into their new routine. Jason only part-times as RH now (she always has a babysitter - usually Babs or Dick - when he’s out) and works at the Wayne Foundation during the day. Bruce (along with Tim) picks up Damian and Fem! HP three times a week after school to take them for ice cream. Sunday dinners at the manor are mandatory.
One particular Sunday, Fem! HP is playing outside alone when two strangers (Dumbledore and Snape) turn up out of nowhere. She is wary (stranger danger!!) and when Dumbledore says she has to go with him, Fem! HP just turns around and screams “DADDY”.
Its the first time she has called Jason that and he drops a plate from where he was helping clean up. The whole family runs outside in fight mode because she is still screaming. Jason just picks her up and refuses to let go. He takes her inside and lets Bruce deal with this (Bruce who is halfway to calling Kal-El because no one touches his grandbaby). Dumbledore tries to convince them to give Fem! HP back to her aunt and uncle who have ‘mysteriously’ been cleared of charges. Magic is revealed and the so-called protection. Snape inevitably puts his foot in it and they are both ousted.
Bruce eventually calls in John Constantine and the whole Girl-Who-Lived spiel comes out. But it does not matter, because Fem! HP has her dad, her grandpa, great-grandpa, and army of aunts and uncles who would unravel the universe for her and certainly do not raise a child only to tell them they have to die when it best suits the cause. Instead she is loved and supported and obvs when everything goes down at Hogwarts (each year) they bring the wrath of the Bats and the Wayne’s to make it as safe as possible (after second year Lucius Malfoy is thrown off the board of governors and Babs takes his spot - she enjoys putting them all in their place).

Maribat AU AU!
Adrien and Marinette are 13 when they become miraculous holders
14 when they add to the team (Chloe, Kagami, Luka)
14 when the save Damian from bleeding out on a mission gone bad.
The League of assassins want him back
They start fighting team miraculous
To bad Ass bois, we've adopted Damian and you cant have him back
At 15 Marinette becomes the Guardian
She gives Damian the turtle miraculous for when he goes on patrol with him
They want him to have a real childhood so they try to keep him from the fighting
But theres only so much they can do about a 9 year old that was raised as an assassin
He has energy
Patrol seems to help
And occasionally he gets to beat up someone
But not often
He is Precious and he is absolutely not allowed to fight in real akuma or league battles
(He tried once and they took away his miraculous for a month and didnt give it back till he apologized. They were all very emotional about their child that didnt get a childhood)
(Adrien connects with him pretty well)
Over time they add more to the team (Alix, Kim, Max and Nathaniel) as the fighting gets worse
Damian doesnt like the fighting or his family getting hurt (yes he considered the miraculous team his family, both in and out of the masks) so he leaves (leaving the turtle miraculous behind)
The team is devastated and search for him for months
They are more vicious with the Akuma during fighting
(Also Lie-la comes in but that's normal for maribat)
Shortly after Damian leaves canon stuff happens and he is brought to Bruce
Damian doenst like these new people
He misses the family he made in Paris
They learned Arabic for him!
And taught him English, and French and Mandrin, and some Japanese and Italian (he was still learning) and sign language! (American, British, French, Arabic)
He doenst like this new family
They arent as affectionate and he misses that
He closes off again
He still becomes Robin
But he feels that he is betraying his old family by fighting in battles
Anyway
Usual Gotham trip
The miraculous team helped Marinette (class president) plan the trip, send in the application and fundraise (plus extra)
They win, Lie-la takes the credit, and some things get changed (like where they are staying. Luckily they saved extra because even though the stay is cheaper the extra prices are not) ( and its next to crime alley (I dont remember who's idea this was but I didnt come up with it))
Kagami is on the trip
Luka is the only one in paris
But they have the miraculous box and Kaalki (mabey Max has her, that seems pretty canon by now or mabey it is idk I didnt watch s3)
(Also Marinette hasn't taken off the turtle miraculous since Damian left)
They know the tricks Lie-la will pull
(They get left at the airport. That's 8 students that you "forgot" Bustier(?) But they are a well oiled fighting machine and some of them have a good sense of direction so they make it to the hotel fine)
(Also not my idea but I forgot the owner (I need to bookmark stuff more) but the class has to wait because marinette is the only one who can get passes and check in because she won the contest so they are waiting there)
(She apologizes profusely to all the staff for her classmates behavior, they all adore her (mabey background twitter posts? Also not my idea))
Anyway
They plan to get up two hours early every day.
Theres no way that they can miss anything
(Also batfam themed outfits because Marinette is MDC)
(Overly connected Marinette and miraculous group because their just that good, they also dont flaunt it so no one really knows)
Usual Lie-la "I'm dating Damain Wayne and I had a fling with (insert Wayne family member)" Rossi
(Damian is 13 here, the class is all around 17-18)
Wayne tour day!
Get up 2 hours early and go out to explore
Leave note with front desk to let them know if Bustier asks about them and to tell them that they went out (they try Bustier tells them off, shes trying to do a "headcount" and she doenst listen)
The group is very nice to everyone
Also!
Mom friend Mari
Chlogami
Acedrien (Ace Adrien)
Alix×Kim×Max
Nathaniel and Marc (Marc is still in Paris)
Wander Gotham (Chloe, Kagami, and Adrien have been here with parents so they know some places)
Impromptu photoshoot with batfam outfits (much badassery in pose choices)
Breakfast at a cafe near wayne tower
Meet exhausted tim
Mom friend Marinette takes over
No more coffee young man
Tim is mothered
Tim gets adopted
He fine with this
He likes being cared for (dont tell jason or dick) (batfam needs to get on the actual family aspects of a family, come on now yall)
He also just pulled a 48 hour work "day"
Asks for a photo with his adopted new family
It's his new homescreen
Jeez this is long
No regrets, let's keep going
Marinette is Batman (batmom! No be quiet Adrien)
Adrien is Spoiler (purple looks good on you Agreste. Thanks batmom)
Alix is Red Hood (you dont even need a helmet! Yes you do. Yes batmom)
Max is Red Robin (tech bois unite! Thank you Adrien)

So anyway they have met Tim, adopted him.
Even though hes 17
And their 17/18
Hes their child now
They spend an hour talking and stuff
Then they remember, oh yeah tour
So Tim takes them to Wayne Tower (he has promised to go home after they start the tour. He doesnt want to upset his new parents and aunts and uncles)
Dick is already there and tired of the group because she "forgot" 8 students (8!)
And hes been listening to Lie-la complain and lie for like 45 minutes
They cant start the tour with out Marinette but Bustier insists that it's fine and I basically being a little shit
They arrive with Tim and Dick is like immediately ok now we have a new sister and then he realizes that shes Marinette
The group goes over to him
The rest of the class hasn't noticed them
They drop off Tired Tim
And she sincerely apologizes to him and the staff for her classmates behavior and gathers the passes so that the tour can start
Dick has basically claimed her AND the rest of her group and his flock now
Especially when Tim tells hime what they did for him
(The outfits are a definite bonus. They would fit right in!)
Ok I'm running out of ideas
But basically they do the tour
Regular maribat shenanigans
They meet Damian at some point
He turns back into the child hes supposed to be and crystal on their shoulders and basically refuses to leave them
Obviously theres an identity reveal
Marinette absolutely demolishes Bruce because HE WAS 10 DAMNIT! LET HIM BE A CHILD INSTEAD OF A SOLDIER!
Also Marinette fashionista (who the hell told you that was a good design. No I'm making you a new one)
Lie-la falls (stop lieing about my family Rossi. Damian be nice to the rat)
Hawkmoth gets revealed (just because your a good detective doenst mean I forgive you)
Mabey they get adopted by the rouges (they knows our science, they're good with plants, they're absolutely adorable, they're smart)
Mabey Iceberg lounge because come on I want to see more of that!
But yeah this is what I've got.
I'll add the stuff for Nathaniels HC on a different post.

Daniel (VLD Reboot)
Daniel is the newest member of my next-gen AU.^^ So to be clear, he is not a fan character. He does not belong to me. He is an actual canon character in the previous Voltron incarnation 'Voltron Force'. If you have never heard of Voltron Force before then I don't blame you. I don't know when it exactly came out but I know it was somewhere in the early to mid-2000s based on how the animation looked.XD I only got to like the third episode before I quit it because it was pretty boring. I'm probably biased because I love VLD (which is the newest Voltron series) and that was the first one I saw but still. I do admit though that I still love Lance from what I've seen in this series. No matter what he will always be my son. Also, there's a part in like the 2nd episode (I think it was the second episode) when Keith returns and Lance just looks at him with the most shit-eating grin and just immediately makes fun of Keith's mullet even when Lance in the scene before was almost killed. And when that scene happened my klance loving heart just went to the moon for a second. Until I remembered that Keith is married to Allura in that version... Oh well, a shipper can dream. Anyways, the reason that I decided to make a VLD version of Daniel was that I had watched a couple of Batman films where they introduced Batman's son, Damian Wayne, which then lead me to some Batfam comics with the Robins and I just got the urge to give Shiro and Keith their own little shit of younger brother that they have to look after and make sure doesn't do anything stupid. Just like how Dick has to handle Damian in the movies. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Daniel Akagane Nickname(s): Danny Age: 15-16 (In this ref sheet and when he was taken in.) 36 (Present time of the AU) Species: Human-Galra Hybrid Gender: Male Nationality: Unknown Parents: Unknown, Krolia (Adoptive Mother) Siblings: Takashi Shirogane (Adoptive Brother), Keith Kogane (Adoptive Brother)      Backstory -  Daniel was abandoned by his parents when he was just a baby. Due to this happening he never had any idea of who they were or what they looked like, all they left him with was his first name and that was about it. He hadn't even known that he was a hybrid yet, he just thought he looked odd. He grew up in an orphanage for the first few years of his life where he was physically and verbally abused by both the caretakers and the other children. The reason why he was targeted for this harassment was due to him being a hybrid and not a full-blooded Galra, making him seem weaker and a waste of space. By the time he was 9, he decided he had enough and ran away from the orphanage leaving him all on his own. He spent the next few years stealing food from little shops and hiding from law enforcement. Even when the Blade took control over the Empire after the war ended his life wasn't that much different from when he first became homeless. That is until he turned 15 years old. He was going around his normal day, stealing supplies and food he needed for the week, only this time was completely different from his usual outings. Daniel has gotten a few close calls the few times he had to run away from an angry shopkeeper or a sentry but in all those years he was never caught. This time however the shopkeeper was able to outsmart Danny by not only cornering him in an alley but by also destablizing him with a quick claw to the leg so he couldn't get away. But before Danny could recieve his punishment for stealing he was saved by one of the Blade leaders, Krolia, by knocking the shopkeeper out. Krolia gasped in shock when she realized the boy she had just saved was a hybrid. A human-galra hybrid no less (just like her son). She told the other Blade members that had been acompanying her on the patrol to take the uncosious guy into questioning while she went to go talk to the boy. But to her suprise when she looked back Danny was gone. After questioning the infuriated shopkeeper Krolia had learned that the boy had a reputation for stealing food and other items from almost everyone in that area. Which confirmed her susspision that not only was he an orphan but that he was most likely homeless as well. Now being completely worried for the boy she decided to search for him and to keep a close eye on him. Finally finding him a few days later trying to do his usual routine of pickpocketing and getting his hands on any food he could. He was obviously trying to be more careful due to the injury he had gotten in their last encounter. She just lingers around in the background for a while. After the first week of Krolia doing Danny got fed up with and finally confronted her about it. She told him that she saw a lot of potential in him and said that a boy his age shouldn't be living the way he is. She finally gives the offer to him of staying instead with the Blades and training under her. After considering the pros of this Daniel accepts her offer and becomes apart of the Blade. After a month of training under her, Krolia grows quite fond of him. Danny has also gains some respect of the older Blade. After a while Krolia decides to official adopt Daniel as her own son and to also introduce him to her other son and step-son. Their introduction to each other was odd to say the least. When Krolia learns that Danny has never been to Earth before she thought it would be a great idea for him to stay there with Shiro and Keith to live more normal and quiet life for a while. Keith becomes the main caretaker of Daniel on Earth with Shiro checking in because in Shiro's words it's Keith's turn to look after an emotionaly unstable, emo teenager now. Extras - Skills/Weapons - Due to him having to steal everything he needs to survive and evading sentries he gained a lot of agility skills over time. During his time at the orphanage, the caretakers provided many lessons in combat and weaponry so they can make more soldiers for the Galra empire. So he was even able to use and to progress those skills while running away after stealing from other Galra for resources and being able to defend himself if need be. During one of his escapades, he found a pair of mounted claws, realizing they could be of use to him he took them as well and they are now his main weapon of use. Relationships - He has a strong bond with Krolia. Being that she was the woman who took him he has a lot of respect for her. He mostly calls her by her first name but there have been some that he called her mom by accident. She's basically the first person to become a mother to him. His relationship with Keith is rocky at first. You put two people together who have similar stubborn, hotheaded personalites they are definitely gonna clash with each other. With Keith trying to keep Daniel under control and thinking he's a brat and Daniel thinking Keith is too overbearing and not taking him seriously. But after a while the two start get closer and realize that they do have a lot in common and how to deal with each other's flaws. They bicker and make fun of the other but it's from a better place now. Daniel's relationship with Shiro is very different from his relationship with Keith. From the start Danny was kind of awkward with Shiro. He just didn't really know how to act around. I mean Shiro looked like a tired, kind old man who had been through some shit. He didn't really want to make that worse. Shiro would him some spacedad talks when he was frustrated with something or got angry. Danny gets less and less uncomfortable with him as time goes on and starts seeing him as someone he can depend on. As his relationships with his nephews and niece... he will literally murder anyone who even thinks about harming a hair on their head. Like a good uncle should. Fun fact - Shiro was actually the one to give Daniel his last name. He wanted all three of them to keep the theme of -gane in their last names so he suggested Akagane. Daniel couldn't really say no so he just went along with it. (Get it? Cause their names mean Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Well... Akagane technically means copper but... same thing right? I think.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's pretty much all I have on him for now. Hope you guys enjoy this 3rd edition to the broganes.^^

Okay that's all very interesting. Does Au Jason use hand to hand more than firearms unlike in canon? Does he have the All Caste's more magical abilities? Does he use them? i can see him basically leaving the magic to the others unless necessary. like i can picture them having a joint mission with the Titans or something and Jason surprising them by teleporting into a building or something. Since you started talking about this AU i've pictured Jason constantly fighting in his all cast uniform
2/2 does he or does he still wear the red hood outfit? How is his Mental health better? If he's not indifferent to the batfamily then how does he feel about them? What things did e hear from his friends? How does he feel about the other older Titans? I know Jason had to go on more than just a couple missions based on the fact that he knew Danny well enough to have a nickname from him so he at least hung around the tower as Robin. Did his improved mental state mean Talia let him meat Damian?
That's a bit more in depth than I thought you wanted. Okay then.
Cannon Jason got his small arms training after egon, so while AU Jason still has some of those skills, he's not as good at them as he would have been, he still keeps the guns around though because practicality, a lot of the All Caste stuff isn't that good for normal type problems. He does default to more of the All Caste stuff on a regular basis, because he doesn't really deal with that normal type stuff when Eddie's around. Like I said, he's been with them a lot longer than in cannon, so he's got the All Blades, his evil destroying punch, some advanced healing, if you've seen the All Caste do something, Jason's at least learning it. He's still young though, especially compared to people who are hundreds of years old, so he can't really do all of it yet.
I also picture him with the All Caste uniform for the most part, because 1) He's been with them for years at this point, any other clothes he has he picks up on his 'vacations' and they're not usually sturdy enough for trouble. 2) The uniform is likely to have some sort of magic resistance given where it comes from, and 3) It looks pretty cool. I imagine he has some kind of a mask with it when he's around most other heroes, but I'm always waffling on whether it's a plane facemask, or a red hood like helmet because again, practicality. It could go either way at this point. He probably plans to be Red Hood when he gets back to Gotham, but :/ that's on hold.
The biggest plus to his mental health is that he has friends to call him out when he's being overdramatic and talk him down when he starts getting self destructive. It goes both ways, and staying level headed for when a friend needs his help, helps him check himself there too. Then there's also the lack of being in such close proximity with people who only reaffirmed his worst beliefs about other people like he was in Lost Days. Some of his cannon training took place in a warzone with child soldiers and I'm sure that was a big part of what turned him so against heroes with kid sidekicks.
His thoughts on the Batfam are complicated. He can never be indifferent to them, because he does love then. Bruce is his dad, he will always think of Bruce that way, and of Alfred as a grandfather, and Dick as his brother, and he will always be hurt by all of the things that hurt him in cannon. On top of that, he heard about all of the 'reckless, violent, failed Robin' stuff from his friends, first from Eddie, who didn't have context and didn't understand, and also from some others who didn't know at first that Jason is the Robon they're talking about. That sort of took him from being hurt, to being pissed enough to raise hell, and then circled him back around to not wanting to be near enough to spit at them. He wants to not care, but he can't, and he knows he can't, but he pretends anyway and makes plots for revenge he also knows he'll never have the emotional energy left to take.
I always assumed his friendship with Danny was long distance like with Eddiez because Bruce didn't like Jason being around the Tower. He might have gone on some offscreen missions with them though. In cannon, bbyJason did get along well with Roy, and Jericho, and he had that puppy crush on Donna. If he crosses paths Either Roy or Donna, he'd probably get along well enough with them so long as they don't know who he is. If they figure it out though, they'd want to tell Dick, because he's their friend, and even if they promised not to, Jason probably wouldn't trust them. Countdown is probably still a thing here, so he'd get pretty attatched to Donna and maybe Kyle during that.
With Joey, it depends wildly on what exact point they interacted again, because wow, that's one of the character's cannon massively screwed over.
In general, he'd probably avoid any superhero teams with bats on their rosters because he doesn't want to risk dealing with them.
I honestly haven't even considered whether Jason would meet Damian before the kid went to Bruce, and then it's through Dick, not Talia.
Hope I covered all of your questions this time.

Learning a lesson - ch. 2
Fandom: DCU, Batman (Comics) Rating: 16 years old and up Additional notes: Reverse!Batfam AU AO3 link Chapter: 1, 2 /? Chapter title: “To see”
(few years ago)
When Jack Drake was looking at his son, he wasn't looking at Tim – Tim observed.
It was weird, in his seven year old mind, how his Dad didn't really acted different from other dads, but at the same time he did. (At least, based on his friends' dads and those other dads he saw on occasion.)
He was told, by his (now dead) Grandparents, that he looked just like little Jack, when he was your age. (Tim couldn't agree fully – he had much more characteristics of his Mother, after all – but they weren't really acknowledging Tim back then, so anything said then by him was quickly forgotten.)
Still. Tim saw the pictures of his Dad, his Grandparents had and, yeah… there was some resemblance. But not what he was looking for.
In little Jack's picture Tim saw his Dad, whenever he was talking about his next trip ('My next adventure Tim!'). It was hard to mistake that wide grin or that glint in his big eyes (a big tell for future trouble) with anyone else.
After death of his Grandparents, most of their belongings (including all the photo albums) got in his parents possession. Some of furniture or decorative vases or other paraphernalia, where placed somewhere in the house, while the rest was hidden in the attic.
One day, when his parents where on another trip and his current nanny wasn't yet with him (she mistook the day – she said, apologizing – and added that she right now started the car, she will be soon) – on that one day Tim decided to see again the picture of his Dad.
After retrieving the picture from the album in attic, and one of the stools from the nearest room, he went with those to the bathroom. He placed the stool in front of the sink, so he could look at himself in the mirror above it (unfortunately, at seven, he was still to short to not need stool). He compared his reflection to the photo, looking back at fort between the two.
He couldn't find anything.
He couldn't find himself in little Jack, nor his Dad in him. Was he looking at the good picture even?
Tim looked like his Mother. You could see it at the first sight. But where he looked like Dad?
He glared at his reflection. It shouldn't be like this!
(Was it why Dad isn't looking at him? Because Tim didn't look like he was his son?)
He took a deep slow breath to calm himself and got down from the stool. He put away the photo, got back to the bathroom and asked himself why he couldn't find anything?
Because there should be something resembling him of his Dad, right? Maybe it's not really visible on his face? Maybe it's his arms or legs, or how he moves and talks? Or maybe it's how he acts in general? But Tim isn't even sure he acts as any of his parents.
Maybe it was because of the pose on the picture. Tim didn't remember if he himself smiled, while comparing picture with his reflection. Tim didn't remember smiling often, period. Did Dad smiled often, when he was Tim's age? Did he smiled to his parents? To Tim's Mother? To Tim?
Did Dad ever smiled to Tim?
Loud crash brought back Tim to present. Looking down at the source of the noise, he saw the stool he previously used kicked away. Moment later, he felt his leg hurting.
It was ok – no one was home anyway to hear the crash.
&&&
Two weeks later his parents came back from their trip. And they brought gift for Tim.
(It was too early for his birthday, but if they planned to be away in July, then it answered things.)
The gift – camera – was… unexpected. And Tim didn't know how to feel about it.
(Not so soon after the crash in bathroom.)
“Do you like it?” his Dad asked, with happiness and such certainty in his voice, because why wouldn't Tim like it?
Tim had a blank look on his face. Similar blank was in his mind, as he tried to think of an answer.
But then – miracle! miracle! - his Dad smiled at Tim.
So Tim quickly took photo of his Dad.
Jack Drake laughed loudly at his son's antics and ruffled his hair. He told his wife cheekily I told you he would like it, at which Janet only rolled her eyes, exasperated.
When his parents started discussing plans for their next trip, Tim sat down looking closely at his present, but not taking more photos.
He wasn't worried that his parents would leave soon – in two days if he heard right. They would tell him when, where, for how long and other specifics before going anyway. They always do.
Tim half-listened to his parents as he was thinking what to do with his camera. But taking photographs didn't seem interesting to him. Not now, anyway.
…But maybe he should finish whole film before developing? Maybe…
Tim frowned – displeased, but determined.
He wanted the photo of his Dad ready and framed now.
&&&
Taking pictures seemed impossible.
Next day, after his parents departure, Tim took his camera to school – planning to spend his afternoon, completing the film. All was good, until he arrived in the Robinson Park – camera ready in hand – but with no idea what to take photo of.
For some reason, it didn't feel right to Tim to shoot whatever – but he didn't know what he was looking for. Trees? Boring. City landscape? If everyone would stay still so it wouldn't be blurred… Sky? With that constant fog?
Those things weren't as beautiful as places where his Dad had been. Tim saw the pictures. His Dad showed him photos from his dig – pointing what they found. There were also other pictures: of colorful skies at various times of a day; of ancient (as well as just old) buildings; of busy part of the cities and their citizens; of seas, lakes and rivers which seemed to sparkle in the sunlight… even trees where greener and more magical in Dad's photos.
Tim wanted to capture the same magic that his father did, but nothing in Gotham seemed to have that sparkle for him. It's stupid. The whole plan was stupid. Tim felt stupid for thinking he would find what he want. He could have stayed home, not lie to his nanny that he was with a friend, study for school (maybe his parents would at least see that).
Instead he was sitting on a stupid bench, in a stupid Robinson Park, with stupid camera, looking at stupid red flower in front of him–
The flower moved.
Tim blinked. Flowers don't come to people by themselves.
“You like it, Little One?”
Tim jumped, hearing a female voice behind him. Shaking, he slowly turned his head to look at the owner of the voice – beautiful red haired woman, with slightly greenish skin.
“Boy?”
Tim blinked owlishly at her.
“Are you alright?” She asked him. Tim nodded few times, visibly still shaken, but quickly coming back to his senses.
The woman snorted.
“Ok, good. Now – going back to first question – do you like that flower?” Tim turned his head slowly, to look back at the said flower. It was standing out beautifully between the rest of Gotham's flora. And it was waving at Tim. With it's leaf.
“May I?” he shyly asked the woman, lifting his camera a little. She smiled.
“Sure. Go ahead.”
Weird but very pretty flower, which was posing for Tim? He smiled, taking few photos – in each said flower was taking different pose.
Maybe it wasn't stupid plan at all…
&&&
From that moment, Tim started paying more attention to his surroundings. In any possible moment there could be something that was just asking to be photographed and he would be angry if he missed anything. It, unfortunately, didn't mean that he finished the film quicker (he was very picky about what to photograph).
He payed close attention to his surroundings – places, things, animals, but also (at some point) to people.
He still wasn't interested in talks between his parents and their various business associates… but he more often then before started to observe people before him.
His favorite people to observe where his parents. And sometimes his current nanny.
But going back to his parents. Tim… Tim was surprised how much he had learned about them, just by looking at them.
For example, how they were different – sorry, acted different – when they were alone with him, when other people were with them, or when they were alone altogether.
When they were with Tim only (during those rare moments at home), they were… normal, he would guess. They didn't really talked with each other and he himself was left to his own devices (with occasional “Timothy, stop!” or “Timothy, put it down!” said in stern tone by his Mother). Most of their conversations were about Drake Industries, or they latest, or next travel – but they were short and to the point. They didn't share jokes, nor go off-topic. And if it wasn't for his Dad's visible excitement or his Mother's annoyance during those, he would even call those talks emotionless.
Talk with other people varied. If it was with new nanny or any person who would work for his parents, then Dad wouldn't even pay too much mind to them (which left Mother to deal with most of those businesses). If it was someone, for whom his parents worked for (or with), then Dad… Dad was…
Tim never seen his Dad so talkative, besides when talking about his digs.
It wasn't strange per se, but… he looked like clown, with all the bending in half in apology and constantly telling jokes… He didn't had this aura of importance and I don't have time for you, he usually carried with himself, and Tim couldn't tell if it was for better or not.
His Mother… his Mother on the other hand didn't change much. But, you had to look closely to see the lack of change.
First visible change was the fact, that his Mother didn't took control of any business conversation (which was strange for Tim – as he had seen, quite often, that she was the one to take care of DI at home). She was always standing behind his Dad, smiling gently (so fake) the whole time and laughing when was the time. She didn't participate in important conversations, entertaining other guest (usually other wives) with gossips.
It was weird for Tim, the first time he took notice of this. But also, during that moment, he must have been staring at his Mother too obviously, as she took notice of him.
And – instead of her gaze becoming icy (as it was often, whenever he did something not appropriate) – she looked amused. She took him with her to the kitchen and, when no one was near them to see or listen in, she told him: “Watch closely, till the end.”
He watched. And he understood. It wasn't seen at first, but his Mother was in control of conversation. She subtlety steered to the topics she wanted, gaining information (categorized by uninterested stare with slight glint in her eyes), or when she wanted others to know what she told them (one corner of her mouth was slightly lifted).
And whenever Dad's advances weren't helping him, Tim's Mother turned to the businessman (eyes widened a little – the picture of innocence and confusion) and with one off-hand comment or question she made the guy reconsider.
On rare chance, when the previous wasn't enough, she didn't make more comments, but she gave a look. It wasn't a glare (although it was near it), but it was a challenge. A question.
Tim was sure of it, considering how often he got that particular look from his Mother (“Are you sure of it, Timothy?”).
Tim's Mother was special like that.
And whenever she decided to teach Tim something – like during those meetings – Tim always listened closely. It was very rare when she decided to share something with Tim, after all.
Those lessons never where direct and Tim was supposed to guess most of the time what she wanted from him. But if it made his Mother to look at him different then with her usual disinterest blank look (or I'm very annoyed at you right now look), then he would gladly perfect those lessons.
Dad was easier to please.
Tim was guessing. Or rather, Tim was – still to this day – hoping it was true.
You see, his Dad was more open with his emotions then his Mother. It was easy to see when he was happy or sad or angry on frustrated or… - you get the idea. He was a man of science, and he very appreciated intelligent talks, especially about history, politics or about any of his archaeological digs. (Tim on rare occasion saw his Mother having those talks with his Dad.)
He wasn't really interested in Drake Industries, but it was given to him from his parents. And, maybe, it was the reason why Tim's Mother and Dad were together. His Dad could go, do what he liked, while his wife tended to family business (in which he wasn't interested in), keeping them from being bankrupt. He seemed to had perfect life. With perfect wife (because Tim's Mother couldn't let herself be anything less then perfect) and perfect son.
Or maybe not perfect?
It was the problem, Tim still couldn't solve. Because, when Jack Drake talked to people about his perfect son, he… never really was describing Tim. He was talking about the boy who had many friends, was very smart, interested in history like his Father, liked sports and… and…
And Tim wasn't like that. Not without working relentlessly on those. And for which – the Dad's perfect son – didn't have to.
(Tim was pretty sure he had half-brother somewhere. And the looks he had seen his Dad giving to other women, only cemented the idea.)
Tim's Dad looked at Tim many times, but he never saw Tim. And he didn't know if he ever would.
(But – Tim thought, letting himself hope – If he can sometimes make Mother look at him, and Dad smiled at him that one time, then maybe it just a matter how can he prove himself?)
And one day Tim decided, clutching his camera tightly, that he will do something – something that no one before him could – that would make his parents forever proud. (And made them see him.)
&&&
One evening he found that something. Or rather – someone.
He was eight years old and looking through Gotham for things to photograph, became something of a routine. He didn't wander too much to …more dangerous parts of the city, but he also didn't stick to the same routes. Thanks to his smaller posture, he was able to go to places adults would have had problem getting in. He also learned – by observing various people - how to be as less noticeable as possible. In conclusion, Tim was able to take a lot of more interesting photographs since getting the camera.
It wasn't evening yet, but the last rays of sunshine were hard to see behind Gotham's fog, making the city look darker earlier. Tim was on his way home theoretically going from the friend who lived nearby. There weren't many people besides him, even thought he wasn't going through bad parts of Gotham. But on his way, something high on the rooftop on the other side of the road piqued his interest.
Before he could came closer to see better, the dark shadow moved and jumped to the nearest rooftop, farther away from the Tim.
Tim cursed, as he was too late to take a photo of the strange creature. He thought about pursuing it, but – looking again at the time – he decided against it. His current nanny was rather strict on punctuality.
It took few days, before he had seen the creature – the man (he was closer and could see better this time). The man was tying up two criminals to the lamppost, when Tim saw him, but he had run away before Tim ha a chance to take a photo.
There were more of those situations. Sometimes Tim saw the man everyday for a week, other times – it took days before he found him on the accident. Tim usually found the man, during fights or helping a civilian – rarely (two or three times) when the man was swinging on the line between the buildings and only once standing still on the rooftop.
It was hard to tell who the man was, considering most of his face and head was hidden. He was tall. And broad. And probably very very muscular, Tim concluded, but he couldn't tell more, because of the cape which hidden the man most of the time.
When Tim went out everyday to take photos – now mostly at evenings and night, when everyone was asleep – it was because he was curious about the man.
Then he thought, that maybe solving the mystery of the shadowed man – about whom people talked like he was a myth, no-one truly knowing who he really was (or if he even existed) – was what would make his parents proud of him. So, for this, Tim went out more often to look for the clues or the man himself.
With every sighting, Tim started to learn more about the man – but he also learned more about the Gotham and the people, the mystery man helped.
He saw people smiling thankful at the man and Tim couldn't help himself but think, that… he also wanted someone to smile at him like that. And if helping people was what it took, to receive those smiles, then well…
Tim was just a kid. Smart kid, but still a kid. So he helped people during the day – small things, like helping grannies bring the shopping bags home or bringing the stuck on a tree kite (and once even a kitten!) down (he was a good climber after all). He loved the smiles he received. But he also thought that he could do more.
And really – taking photo of the thieves, moments before they put their masks on and sending those slices of film to the GPD via mail… Tim maybe found his true calling.
He still observed the mysterious man, looking for clues to find his true identity. After months of observation he could tell many things about the man – how he usually punched, how his voice was low and how it terrified Tim the first time he heard it…
But also how the man was kind. And how delicate he acted towards the victim. How he spoke tenderly and how Tim believed him, when he heard the man say it will be alright.
And really, really, it should have been obvious – he screamed internally, later in his room, after it hit him.
When going to the doctor, already in the hospital building, he saw Bruce Wayne talking to the scared poor child with the same tenderness and mannerism, he heard the mysterious man speaking.
(His nanny thought, that the sudden harder grip on her hand, was because he was scarred of the shot. He decided not to correct her.)
He wanted to tell his parents that he solved the mystery! He! When rest of Gotham still mostly thought of him as a myth! But…
But at some point, Tim admitted to himself shyly, as he felt he wasn't supposed to feel like this, but at some point, he was only thinking about going out at night to see the Dark Knight (as he called the mysterious man – Bruce Wayne – in his mind) – and it wasn't so he could show pictures to his parents (nor so he could tell them that he solved such mystery, as the man's identity, someday).
Just. At some point. The Dark Knight – and what he represented to Tim – became slightly more important then his parents (approval).

(present, two days after Wayne Gala)
“Damian? May I talk with you for a moment?”
Damian paused. He had one arm of the uniform jacket put on, when his Father knocked on door to his bedroom. Unusual, considering Father …refrained from direct approach in the past. He quickly gathered his wits, putting the jacket fully on.
“Came in.” he answered.
Bruce opened the door slowly – just enough so he could came in. He sat on Damian's bed and with hand gestured for his son to sit beside him. Damian compiled, but also raised an eyebrow in question.
“Damian. How… How are you today?” Green eyes blinked, surprised.
“In perfect form. Physically. Also mentally – as I prepared before for another week in that Institution. You don't have to worry about Wayne Family name in the future – that, I can promise you.”
Bruce slowly shook his head. Damian mentally winced, seeing his reaction.
He stretched his arm and pulled his son to him, in weak attempt of hug. “I meant here and here” he added, as he used his other hand to point at Damian's head and chest, above his heart.
His son scrunched his nose in confusion. “Didn't I just tell you, Father?”
Bruce huffed. “Ok. Let me ask this. What do you think overall, about your life in Gotham?”
“It's hard to see positive aspect of this city, when illness caused by unrecognized chemicals is one of the standard points in insurance companies adverts.”
Bruce snorted.
“Yes. Yes, it is, son. It is hard. But my question was more about living here – at the Manor.” with me.
Damian – who always make sure to look people in the eyes while talking to them (daring them, dictating dominance, showing – saying 'I'm not afraid!') - this time couldn't stop himself from looking down – away from his Father's gaze.
“It's… good.”
“Good?”
Damian slowly nodded, still not taking eyes away from the carpet. “I… I have no basis for complainants.”
“…But you have some, right son?”
Damian bit his bottom lip, refusing stubbornly answer – gaze still at the carpet. He shouldn't be complaining at all.
“…That's ok, son. I don't blame you for those.”
As soon as Bruce said this, he got to see his son's green eyes, widened in shock.
“Really.” Bruce continued. “Damian, your arrival here was …unexpected, but not unwelcome. I'm happy that you are here and it's obvious that we all have to adapt. That's how all changes works. I don't blame you, for missing your life with your mother. I may not know how it feels, but I try to understand and be the father you need. I just hope, you will one day forgive me for how I mistreated you.”
“You never mistreated me.”
Bruce smiled sadly, slowly brushing his son's hair. “I did. For sure, for almost eleven years of your life. At first I didn't know you even existed and when you came here I didn't properly taken care of you. I was so afraid… I'm sorry, son. I'm so sorry.”
Damian didn't know how to answer his Father. But, he thought, that the man before him needed some form of consolation. And it was Damian's job to do it.
He slowly got out of the (awkward) hug and stood before his Father.
He wanted to say blandly, that he forgives him. Just to stop this confusing charade, that this man is playing at. “You…”
He paused and thought about what he wanted to say again.
Al Ghuls don't lie. They say only truth and they never break their promises.
Damian thought again about what his Father had said.
“You… -tt- You are not forgiven.” He said, looking him straight in the eyes.
Bruce nodded sadly. “I understand, Damian.” He stood up slowly and went to the door. Before going out, Damian added:
“But I wish to forgive you in the future. Don't disappoint me, Father.”
Bruce looked surprised at Damian. He smiled. “I understand, Damian.” He answered his son.

“Message from Lady Talia.” Damian heard someone say in Arabic. He turned his head in that direction, only to see middle-aged man in janitor uniform.
He looked around him to see if there was any student still wandering the halls after school, or any of the school personnel around. When he was sure they were alone, he turned to the messenger.
“What is it?” he whispered back in the same language.
In answer, the man took a folded piece of paper from inside his jacket pocket and gave Damian, then left without looking back. Damian waited few moments, looking at the retreating man, then he went in the opposite direction, away from the Gotham's Academy building.
He thought about finding secure location on the Academy's grounds, but upon seeing Pennyworth besides his Father's car, he forgone the idea. Instead, he pocketed the folded message in his uniform jacket and went to the car.
The ride wasn't long. Upon arriving Pennyworth informed him when he should expect dinner, giving him at least hour to find a place, read the message and destroy the evidence.
He thought about Manor grounds, but scratched the idea, as it would seem unusual for him, if discovered (there wasn't much to do there). Wandering through the Manor, he stopped before one of the rarely used rooms (maybe only by Pennyworth to clean), floor above the bedrooms.
Damian sat on the couch in the room, unfolding the paper.
I promised, that you would look after Timothy Drake. Was the only thing that the coded message said.
He brisked, annoyed. He didn't need to see “don't dishonor Your Family” to hear the implications in his head. After all, Al Ghouls never break their promises –  the mantra that was drilled to his head as long as he remembers.
He read the message again.
Something wasn't adding up. First, the kid who knew his Father's (  and his?  ) secret. Then, the kid's mother, who seemed dangerous to Damian, knew his  Mother. Not only that – probably that harlot, made his Mother  promise, that he would look after the brat.
(He was a Warrior! Not some bodyguard!)
Anyway, the kid –  Timothy – didn't look intimidating. Not even trained. Damian would guess, that the only thing keeping alive the kid to this point, was sheer luck. (Seriously – the kid wasn't aware of his surrounding!  How dumb could he possibly be?!  )
So, how did he learned the secret? His Mother told him? If so, then why? Besides – what does he even plan to do with that information? On the rooftop, he talked like he knew Batman. If he planned to use the information as blackmail, he wouldn't be so talkative back then. How long have he been observing him? Why was he observing him?
It's easy to see that Janet Drake is the real treat to his Family (both to Father AND Mother – but she may not be aware of it). But observing her would be impossible for Damian, especially for Drakes' tendency to constant traveling.
Going through her son may be his only option. Was that why Mother wanted him to look after the brat? (Did she knew of the danger?)
It's decided. Damian would not shame his Family.
Now, he just needs a good reason to meet Timothy.

(few months ago)
“Why aren't you sleeping?”
Tim stopped mid-step and turned his head to the open room. There, sitting behind the desk, was Janet Drake.
“Go back to sleep, Timothy.” She said, going back to her work.
Tim walked to her, instead. He walked around the desk, stopping besides the chair Janet was sitting on. He waited in silence, his gaze never leaving her.
After few minutes his Mother scowled. She glanced at Tim, then went back to documents.
“Timothy.” she said.
“Mother.” Tim answered her, smiling. “You are early.”
Janet scowled.
“I am early. Your father is still overseas. He will be as planned.”
“Oh.”
Janet didn't answer him. She got back to her work, looking over DI new contracts and plans for her husbands future trips.
Tim stood besides her, silent. He wasn't tall enough to see anything on the desk. Instead, his gaze was fixated on the next best thing – his Mother.
He observed, mesmerized as his Mother worked. Slender fingers going over documents, trembling slightly. Simple gold wedding ring – the only accessory on her hands – was glinting whenever Tim had a short chance to see it from his position. Fountain pen, when she wasn't writing, was shaking in her hand, but the strong grip in which it was, seemed almost stable. There was slight frown on his Mother face and her eyes were squinted a little. Rest of her face didn't seem to be moving. There was a short thud sound and Tim could see the weeding ring fully, as it was now laying on the desk before him. Away from Mother's documents.
He was getting sleepy, so – to not fall down – he grabbed the side of his Mother chair to hold on something.
Janet glanced at him once, before going back to her work, ignoring her son.
In reality, it wasn't more than fifteen minutes, when Janet paused her work. For Tim it felt like hours, during which he was losing a fight with sleepiness.
He vaguely remembered laying on a leather couch, near the desk. In contrast – the morning sun, coming through the windows from behind the desk and his Mother's jacket (day before – on the chair, now – laying gently on Tim) – were things that stayed in his mind for years.
A/N: Oh my, I updated! Finally. I hope you guys enjoyed that chapter (and story in general) and please, let me know what you think of it!

Batfam/Percy Jackson Crossover/AU
You guys wanted me to post it so here’s the whole thing. Just a warning: THIS IS A REALLY LONG POST! I had a lot of stuff for this AU and I wanted to make sure I got it all in. Some stuff is repeated from that other post I made but since this is the full version (or everything I have right now, I could add more) of the AU, I’m putting it in here too. Send me asks about it if you want to know more! If there’s anything I left out here or anything you guys come up with, I want to add it in here!!
***
- Jason Todd finds out he’s a demigod when he’s ten years old, while living on the streets of Gotham city.
- Technically, his mom’s still alive, but she’s not really in a condition where she can take care of him and it’s been like that for a while
- Then he gets attacked by his first monster. (He’s seen monster around before, but was usually able to keep under their radar) He does try to fight it off at first, because it’s Jason Todd of course he’d try to fight, but the pocketknife he has doesn’t do anything, so he runs- and he’s saved by a girl a little older than him who he swears looks a lot like Wonder Woman, except younger
- He’s really wary of the girl because he’s learned over the years that you can’t just trust random people, and he was just attacked by some monster but she kneels down next to him and tells him to calm down
- She tells him her name is Thalia Grace, and when he tells her his name is Jason Todd, something flashes in her eyes.
- She asks him if he wants to come with her, to a safe place where the monsters won’t try to hurt him anymore. He agrees because, well, why not? Living in Crime Alley isn’t doing him any favors and his mom probably wouldn’t notice if he left (also because PLOT)
- So he goes with Thalia, and he meets her friends, Luke and Annabeth. They travel to Camp and along the way meet Grover and all that fun stuff happens
- Before they get to camp, Jason actually becomes really close with Thalia. She’s like an older sister to him, and he reminds her of her little brother and it’s really nice
- Thalia and Jason were closer to each other just like Luke and Annabeth were closer to each other, and I think Jason might’ve known Thalia had a brother but like not much more than that except that they had the same first name
- The night they get to camp is just as sad and goes down exactly how it normally does, except Luke literally had to hold Jason back from going after Thalia when she died on Half-Blood Hill
- After that night, Jason would always go back and visit Thalia’s Pine every day and tell her all the stuff that had happened to him that day. Even if she was gone and couldn’t really hear him, it made him feel a little bit better about her death
- He had to stay in the Hermes cabin for a month after he got to camp before he was claimed. During that time, he became really close friends with Chris Rodriguez, one of the Hermes kids who was his age, and of course he stuck by Luke’s side for a while because he knew Luke better than almost all the other campers
- He also met a son of Apollo named Roy Harper, who was around his age and had gotten to camp a few months earlier, during his first capture the flag game and they hit it off and became best friends
- He was claimed when the Hunters came to camp a month after he got there. Their visit ended up with cabins being lit on fire, and the Hermes cabin had been lit up and he sorta panicked and made all the water in the area rain down on it to put out the fire
- The hunters were not impressed (as they got soaked in the process) but that’s when Jason was claimed as a son of Poseidon
- He got a weapon, too; and that weapon just happened to be a sword called “Riptide”
- He was moved to the Poseidon cabin after that and it was kind of lonely for him but not really? Just a few months earlier he’d been living off the streets and he was pretty used to being alone, although spending a month in the most crowded cabin at camp had been nice
- Eventually Jason realizes that he has to go home- even if his mom wasn’t the best, he still feels like he wants to make sure she’s okay so he goes back to Gotham when he’s twelve
- Things sort of end up the way they were before he’d left. He tells his mom what had happened but she doesn’t really care much but the point is after a few weeks of him being home, she dies
- Jason then realizes that when he left camp, all he’d brought home was his sword and camp necklace and t-shirt that he had been wearing the day he left
- He didn’t have a single drachma, or any other way to contact camp so he was on his own again because there was no way he’d be able to get to camp on his own
- So he went back out on the streets and went back to his old ways from before he had met Thalia, Luke, and Annabeth
- A few weeks later he decides to steal the tires off the batmobile and the next day he’s living with Bruce Wayne and a few weeks after that he becomes Robin
- His only problem now? He still wants to go back to camp, at least in the summer so he tells Bruce that there’s this summer camp in Long Island where he used to go ever summer before his mom died, where they work with kids who have ADHD and Dyslexia and other learning disabilities (this is also how he tells Bruce about the fact that he has both those things)
- He says that he has friends there who he’s really close with, and that it’s REALLY important to him that he goes back and somehow it works??
- He doesn’t tell anyone at camp when he gets back that he’s Robin (Well, Chiron knows and so does Mr. D since he’s a god and all) but he does tell them he was adopted by Bruce Wayne and now that’s a thing
- During the time he’s Robin but before he goes back to camp, he gets to meet the Justice League for the first time and a few different things happen:
- He meets Wonder Woman and he decides she really IS awesome in real life (though he remembers that she’s technically Thalia’s half-sister and it makes him kinda sad
- He tries to avoid Aquaman at all costs because he knows that the Atlanteans are probably going to treat him like royalty just based on how the fish in the lake and at the beach at camp act towards him and he’s not exactly ready for that (it goes fine though, because both Arthur and Diana are willing to keep the whole demigod stuff secret for him)
- And then he meets Green Arrow and his sidekick, Speedy
- Jason IMMEDIATELY recognizes Roy, even behind the mask, and when the Leaguers leave them to do whatever while they’re busy, Jason walks up and takes off his mask and asks “Since when are YOU a superhero?” “Since when are YOU Robin?!?” And then they put their masks back on (because Jason doesn’t want to get in trouble for revealing his identity to Roy) and they pretend they just became friends then, even though they’d known each other for two years
- (Neither Bruce nor Oliver ever found out about that)
- And things were good after that… except not really because Jason dies three years after he becomes Robin when he’s fifteen
- (for future reference I’m going by what happens in the Under the Red Hood movie for the story of how he’s resurrected and stuff because I know it the best)
- A few months before Percy gets to camp, Roy Harper shows up bringing really bad news: he tells everyone that Jason was kidnapped by the Joker, and killed in an explosion and he tells them the whole story (as best he can while leaving out the Robin part)
- (Roy returns Riptide to Chiron when he comes back to tell them all about Jason’s death, and Chiron holds onto the pen after that. He still has it a few months later when a certain demigod gets attacked in a museum)
- It’s… kind of a shock to the campers
- They’ll hear stories of how some campers die while out in the mortal world, but 99% of the time it’s just monsters doing the killing
- Jason Todd was known around camp as one of the best fighters and the most powerful demigod there, being a son of the Big Three Gods and he had just been tortured and murdered by some psycho clown? It’s just… kind of crazy to them to hear this.
- As demigods they don’t really think about mortal threats. They don’t realize just how much damage mortals can do, and considering that there’s gods out there and everything they just don’t see mortals as dangerous until this happens
- In Titan’s Curse Zoë says, “Sometimes mortals can be more horrible than monsters.” I think the kids at Camp Half-Blood learn this lesson after hearing the events of Jason’s death.
- Jason’s death also is a turning point for some of his friends, specifically Luke and Chris
- They both were already on their way to joining Kronos, Luke especially, but this sort of added to their reasons to leave. They both thought that the gods could’ve intervened, saved Jason, done SOMETHING but they didn’t and that’s sort of one of those things that pushed them both off the edge just a little more
- Anyways, it becomes an unspoken rule at CHB after this: you don’t ever speak of Jason Todd, which is why no one mentions him to Percy
- It’s also why people are even more wary of Percy when he DOES get there, and sort of treat him like an outcast once he’s claimed (and I think people had their suspicions before he was claimed. Just the way he looked reminded them of Jason, not even thinking about how he acted)
- This scrawny, black haired, green eyed, son of Poseidon shows up at Camp Half-Blood right after the last one, one of the only other children of the Big Three to be born since before World War Two, dies? It’s just not a good sign, especially since they’ve all showed up in the last five years and that has to mean something, right?
- Part of why Clarisse singles Percy out is because she had been good friends with Jason as well, and after hearing the rumors of him possibly being a son of Poseidon, she didn’t think Percy could be “Big Three material” because she didn’t think anyone could replace Jason and she got mad because of it
- It’s also kind of why Annabeth is kind of mean to him at the beginning of Lightning Thief. She sees him take out Clarisse with the exploding toilets and she starts to get an idea of who Percy’s dad is, and after knowing Jason for so long she has a pretty good idea, and she doesn’t like it either because she still misses Jason. He was part of her group of runaways with Thalia and Luke and she misses him just as much as she misses Thalia and since this was only a few months earlier it hurts a little more to see this new kid who just happens to be his brother. It’s part of why she gets so mad at him for the bathroom thing, because it’s only helping to confirm her suspicions.
- It’s basically the REAL reason why Annabeth is so mad he’s a son of Poseidon. It didn’t have as much to do with their parents rivalry as they thought. She says she didn’t want Percy to be a son of Poseidon but then cuts herself off and says “I thought it would be Zeus” right before he’s claimed.
- Anyways the next few years kinda fly by and everything goes down exactly like they’re supposed to
- When Thalia comes back to life at the end of Sea of Monsters, Annabeth pulls her aside and catches her up on everything, from what she missed at camp to Jason’s death to Luke’s betrayal.
- Thalia’s really upset by Jason’s death. She was excited to see him again, and instead now she’s lost two little brothers named Jason and it’s really sad for her but she’ll be okay. She agrees to the whole “don’t tell Percy” thing because now he has no idea he had a brother and he probably won’t ever know because Jason’s dead.
- Or so they think.
- Jason doesn’t go back to CHB for a long time after he gets brought back to life. He’s brought back almost right away, but spends five or so years doing whatever it is he was doing before he even returns to Gotham for the UTRH storyline to happen, and after that it’s going to be a few years before he goes back to camp, so he won’t return until about two years after Heroes of Olympus takes place (so a year after Magic Chase and Trials of Apollo take place)
- When they met up again, Roy had caught Jason up on everything that he’d missed since he died. He told him about Percy and Annabeth and Grover and all of their old friends and the Titan War and the fight against the Romans and everything
- While Jason was happy to hear Thalia was alive and with the Hunters, he was really upset to hear about Luke’s death
- Roy tried to get him to go back to camp but it still took him a while to convince Jason to return.
- Jason’s friends at camp, or whoever was left and not at college or had died in the war, were really happy to see him.
- When he did, Percy was SHOCKED to learn about Jason. He knew Tyson was his brother, but having an actual older demigod half-brother instead of just a cyclops was… a lot to learn in one day
- Percy learns that Jason used to have Riptide as a weapon, and is worried Jason wants it back, but Jason just tells him that Riptide is his now and he can keep it.
- Jason just uses his guns now as a weapon, and he makes all his bullets special; they’re just like normal bullets, but they’re all infused with celestial bronze so he can kill monsters and mortals with them. He also keeps a celestial bronze knife with him at all times just in case, but he never really uses it.
- They hit it off, though. They become really close and Jason’s kind of happy to have another brother, especially one who isn’t normally pissed at him because of what he does as Red Hood
- (Mostly because he doesn’t know Jason is Red Hood, but Percy will find that out eventually I think. I don’t think he’ll really be bothered by it, though)
- Sally adores Jason too. She treats him like a son and Jason actually babysits for her and Paul’s daughter and he’s a really good babysitter
- Even after all this, none of the Batfam (except probably Alfred, because he’s Alfred, okay? He’s known since before Jason died probably) has any idea about Jason’s dad or friends and family at CHB, or even the fact that he has powers
- (he has all of Percy’s powers because they both get them from their dad)
- He doesn’t plan on telling them unless they find out, and he really doesn’t think they will. This is one secret he’s convinced not even Bruce or Tim could figure out, no matter how great detectives they are.
- He’s had a few scares with them finding out, though. Once Tim was thrown unconscious into the water at the docks and he dove in after him and all his cuts and bruises and that stuff disappeared from his body because the water had healed him, but he may sort of waved off when Dick asked by saying he just hadn’t gotten hurt. Dick didn’t believe him, but no one had actually seen Jason get hurt, so they had no proof.
- Another time was when Damian had snuck off on patrol and bumped into Jason’s cousin, Nico. They had no idea it was Nico, of course, but the fact that Nico had literally shadow travelled with Damian was close enough for Jason to be worried, even though Dick had claimed Damian was making up the fact that he had just been in China for two minutes.
- Jason doesn’t want his family to know how his powers especially, because he’s worried that if they found out what exactly he could do, whether for real or just theoretically, he thinks that everything he’s done to get them to even sort of trust him like they do is going to get thrown out the window because is he can breathe underwater and create hurricanes and cause earthquakes so powerful they can destroy bridges (all things Percy has done actually) and they’ll probably throw him into Arkham or something because they’ll think it’s just not okay for someone with shaky morals like his to be able to have that much power
- So he hides his powers as best he can and never tells his family anything. They have no idea he’s a demigod and he hopes that they never will.
