she also loves doing things for u! breakfast in bed - which i can see her getting julietta to help cook, helping you with basic chores, taking care of you when you’re sick (unless julietta is around so she can just cook you betta xD)

Encanto preferences- Protecting them when Casita breaks

A/N:I wrote this a while back and forgot to post it. It was heavily inspired by this post X

Bruno

As you were walking over to Isabela's room,you were caught by Abuela. You hadn't even made it upstairs,she immediately started screaming at you,Bruno and Mirabel. As the three of them were yelling at each other,you felt Casita rumbling and the cracks under your feet. Seconds before you could tell them to stop Bruno yelled out.

"I didn't leave because I don't care about this family,I left because I care. I couldn't let you see that vision,I couldn't let you treat Mirabel like you treated me!" There was a brief moment of silence before Casita broke. Everything was breaking apart. Everyone was rushing towards the candle but almost all of them got pushed out by Casita,the only ones left inside were you and Bruno. "Y/N get out,I'll get the candle" He ran off before you could stop him,you ran after him. He got the candle but tripped,you ran and caught him. There was no way you’d have enough time to get out,you pulled him closer to you covering him with your body. You could feel everything crumbling around you,some pieces of rubble hit you causing you to flinch. Once it was all over,he quickly looked up at you.

“Are you okay?”

“Don’t worry about me,are you okay?”

“I’ll be fine” You both looked down at the candle,it had gone out. “Bruno,everything will be fine. You’re way more important than some miracle”

“Not to them,I’m not”

“You are important to them,even if they don’t wanna admit it.They’ll find a way to live without the magic,but not without you,I know I wouldn't” You could see tears forming in his eyes before he kissed you.

Camilo

“Camilo,don’t” You tried to stop him,but he pushed past you and towards the candle. He was just a few seconds away from it when his powers stopped working. Casita was trying hard to push everyone out,but you managed to stay inside. Camilo quickly got up,trying to reach the candle again. “Camilo” You ran up and grabbed him “We need to get out of here”

“I can’t leave”

“Camilo,I can’t let you die for a candle!”

“Then you don’t really love me” He broke from your grip as you were too shocked and heartbroken to react. You froze in place,until you heard.

“Y/N! Get out of there!” Pepa yelled at you. Camilo reached out for the candle and that’s when the roof crumbled under his feet. Casita was too weak to help out,you were the only one who could save him at this point. You caught him but it was too late to get out at this point,you were trapped inside. Everything was breaking apart,you knew you had to protect him. Once everything settled you were trapped under the rubble,your whole body ached. Your leg was really hurting you and every tiny movement caused you incredible pain. A bigger piece of rubble was lifted,revealing Luisa behind it. You gave her a smile before looking back at Camilo.

“Did you get hurt?” Everyone gathered around you.

“No,I’m fine,” He mumbled. You tried to stand up,only to immediately fall. “Y/N” You could barely hear him,everything was getting blurry and soon it was completely black.

When you woke up again,you were in Pepa’s room,was that all a dream? You tried to get up and immediately Camilo walked in.

“Y/N” He rushed to your side. “Don’t stand up,your still injured”

“So that wasn’t a dream” You mumbled to yourself.

“Y/N” He sat down on the bed. “I wanted to apologize,about what I said,how you don’t love me”

“Camilo,it’s okay”

“No,Y/N,it wasn’t okay. What I said to you wasn’t right,regardless of the situation. You proved just how much you do love me,you saved my life. And I choose that candle over you. I just hope you’ll take me back”

“I never let you go” You laughed,pulling him into a hug

Isabela

You were looking for Mirabel,suddenly plants were popping up everywhere. Not just roses but all kinds of plants. You got back to Casita to see Isabela and Mirabel on a bed of flowers,Isabela's dress was covered in flower dust of all different colors,it looked way more beautiful than her regular one. You were about to call out to both of them but Abuela walked just that second. Isabela's whole demeanor changed back to her 'perfect girl' and she quickly moved aside as Mirabel and Abuela started arguing. When everything started breaking,you were panicking.

“Isa,we need to get out of here”

“No,we need to get the candle”

“Help Mirabel” She looked a little confused. “Use your plants to give her a boost” She nodded and did as you said. Mirabel got the candle,you noticed a piece of rubble that was about to hit Isabela. You quickly grabbed her and pulled her away just in time. She used her magic to pull Mirabel out of the house. Thankfully everyone made it out,but the candle still went out. “Are you hurt?”

"No" She stood up as you did the same. "You?"

"I'm fine" You moved closer to her "I like your new dress" You whispered.

Luisa

Luisa was trying to hold up a bunch of falling debris,she was clearly struggling with her gift slowly fading. You were the last two in there along with Mirabel,Luisa refused to leave without Mirabel and you refused to leave without Luisa. You tried your best to help her,even if you weren't very strong. Finally Mirabel made it out,but at the last second even more debris fell and it was far too heavy. Immediately your instincts kicked in,pulling her down you covered as much of her body with your own. Which wasn't exactly easy since she was a giant compared to you,but you made sure to cover her head and neck.

"Luisa,I think this is it for me. If I don't make it out alive I don't want you to blame yourself,this isn't your fault and I'd gladly die for you. But I need you to know that I love you" She was silent for a moment,but you soon heard her sobbing. You closed your eyes,waiting for everything to fall on you. There were so many pieces,it felt like they were never ending,but eventually they stopped.

"Y/N,I love you too" finally with that you closed your eyes,the pain was just too much but you kept her safe. When you woke up again,you were out of the rubble but still in Luisa's arms.

Mirabel

Both you and Mirabel raced towards the candle and got to it just in time. When the roof under her started collapsing you quickly pulled her against you before jumping down. Casita caught you just before you hit the floor,there was no time to get out. You held onto her as tight as you could,casita used the last of its strength to move a bunch of the furniture around you to protect the two of you. When everything went silent,the furniture that was protecting you fell. The candle had gone out and Mirabel looked completely defeated. Her expression quickly changed when she noticed you bleeding from your arm. She tore off a piece of her dress and tied it around your arm.

"Thank you" You kissed her cheek and stood up,reaching to help her up. "Are you okay?" She only nodded,she hadn't said anything since the candle went out.

"Mirabel,Y/N" Julieta rushed over to the two of you. "Are you hurt?"

"Y/N got hurt" Mirabel broke her silence,but her gaze was still on the ground.

"I'll be fine" You put your hand on her cheek,forcing her to finally look up at you. "I'm more worried about you. '' She just hugged you without any other word,in seconds you heard her sobbing.

"This is all because of me,we lost the miracle and you got hurt because of me"

"Mirabel,none of this is your fault. I'd do anything to protect you"

Rest now (Yandere Madrigal family x writing fatigued! reader)

(sorry for not uploading lately, I just haven't been that sure on what to write, also thank you to @thefieryphoenix for requesting once again!)

The passing couple of days you had only been writing, you were exhausted. But you couldn't stop, you needed to finish this book.

The Madrigal family watched worryingly, as you walked down the stairs. They knew how you had been denying your self care, they really wanted to help you but you would hiss, every time they tried. "Are you ok, mi Amor?" Camilo asked, his voice filled with concern "Yes I'm fine, I already told you that!" You replied, snapping at him. They could tell how you hadn't been getting any sleep at all. Ugh, how those purple bags drooped under your eyes.

All they wanted was for you to take care of yourself, and be in good health. But you didn't want to, you were only focused on your writing and that was it, maybe getting some food or a drink every once in a while as well. You went into the kitchen, quickly grabbing a cup of water. Then returning to your room.

You continued scribbling on your page, (I don't know what they used to write back then, so don't come for me) jotting down your story, like you already had been for the past hours of the day.

Some time had passed, now it was dinner. You did feed yourself and drink, but you never cleaned your self or slept. You felt all the Madrigals stares on you, but you didn't care what they thought, they didn't know how much this meant to you. After you had finished our dinner, you climbed out of your chair, then walking back to your room.

But, you never made it, because you suddenly felt dizzy. You felt, tired. Did Julieta drug the food? Unfortunately for you she had. Your body made a loud thump as you fell onto the floor.

Your eyes slowly opened, your vision was slightly blurry, and you felt dazed. You then heard whispers of the Madrigal family follow. "W-what, where am I?! Let me go!" You demanded, while also thrashing in the ropes, "sorry Amor, but we can't do that." Pepa replied calmly. "Y-you don't understand! I n-need to finish this book!" "stop worrying about that book doll, you need rest" Dolores told you. "N-n-no! No rest! I need to finish it!" you screamed, "you are staying here Estimada/Estimado, whether you like it or not" Julieta said coldly. You gulped.

Suddenly, Julieta came over to you, and shoved a arepa in your mouth. Forcing you to chew. "Rest now" Julieta told you gently, you eyes slowly started to shut, making your world turn black.

Never Good Enough

Madrigal!Reader x Mirabel Madrigal (Platonic!)

You were late. You could feel your heart quicken as you struggled to swallow, your nerves already causing havoc in you. Abuela was going to be so mad, you thought. You had said you’d help her prepare for the celebrations at 3pm and it was already past that. Passing the supplies you were carrying to the villager, you waved goodbye before evaporating with a small ‘poof’ of air, reappearing half a second later on the other side of the village to help the church.

ou rushed as quick as you could, knowing that every second that passed you were only increasing your Abuela’s wrath. As soon as you were done, you disappeared from the village before the villagers even had a chance to ask anything else of you, reappearing directly behind Abuela. You swallowed nervously as she turned around giving you a cold stare.

“You’re late, Y/N.” She stated, her hands on her hips. “I know, I’m sorry,” you breathed, lowering your head in shame, “I had a lot to do and it took lon-“ “I don’t want to hear your excuses.” Abuela snapped, taking a step towards you. “You should be able to appear instantaneously whenever you are needed. That is what your gift is for. The rest of your family is helping with the celebrations, and you are letting them down.”

This hurt you more than any yelling would have accomplished, and Abuela seemed to realise that. “Now go, you have wasted enough time.” With that, you disappeared with a poof of air and you reappeared into chaos. Your family were everywhere, a hurricane of activity. As soon as they saw you they started shouting instructions at you, asking you to teleport to this place and that place on completely opposite sides of the village. You struggled to breathe, to contain your fear and crippling stress of the burden placed on your shoulders. You needed to hide, needed to get away from this curse you had.

Before you even realised what you were doing, you disappeared from the view of your family and reappeared in the nursery… Mirabel’s room. There was no way anyone would think to look for you here, and you trusted that casita would know that you did not wish to be found. It was still not private enough for you though, so you dived under Mirabel’s bed and curled up into a little ball. Finally you could release your pent-up emotions, allowing yourself to cry and let it all out.

Your cries and gasps for breath were (though not loud) enough to distract you from hearing the nursery door open. Mirabel heard your quiet sniffing as soon as she walked in, and she slowly crept up to her bed before carefully getting onto her hands and knees to look under her bed.

“Are you okay?” Mirabel asked as her head popped into view. “I’m fine.” You replied stiffly, clearly not fine. “I’m fine.” You repeated, hoping it would make her go away. “Suuuure.” Mirabel hesitated for a second, before adding “I’m coming in primo/a!” She shimmied under the bed until her shoulder was next to yours. Together you lay there in silence for a minute or two, Mirabel patiently waiting for you to open up to her.

“Why aren’t you helping set up the celebrations?” You asked, unable to bear the silence any longer. “I, uh, I wasn’t particularly wanted, I guess. Abuela seemed to think I was just getting in the way.” Mirabel tried to make light of it and force a hollow laugh out, before she nudged your shoulder to fully gain your attention. “The real question is why aren’t you helping them?”

You hesitated, laying your head down on your hands, humming to yourself. “I just… they were all…” You stopped, huffing and throwing one of your hands up in the air. “Doesn’t matter. It’s not important.” You tried to deflect the question but Mirabel shuffled to try and face you properly, grabbing your hand and holding it tightly.

“I know that’s not true, Y/N. Come on, you can tell me! What’s wrong?” You shook your head, perhaps some futile last attempt to maintain some composure before it escaped you all at once. “I’ll never be good enough for this family… for Encanto.” You hid behind your hands, not seeing Mirabel pull a confused face. “Not matter how hard I try, I’m never there quick enough. I should be there instantly - that’s what Abuela said. Even when they send me on errands at different ends of Encanto at the same time… I should somehow be everywhere all at once.” You lowered your hands to look at Mirabel, before you laid your head on her shoulder. “But I can’t.”

“No one could, Y/N.” Mirabel softly whispered, hoping to fill the silence while she figured out what to say. “And you shouldn’t have to feel like that. Abuela is wrong.”

“I see you, Y/N. I see how hard you work for this family, how much you do for everyone without anyone noticing. I mean… sometimes I don’t see you because you’re suddenly there and gone again in a flash, haha…” Mirabel joked awkwardly, hoping to make you laugh a little. As bad as her attempts were, she did succeed in bringing out a small puff of air of amusement and a tiny smile from you.

“Thanks, Mirabel.” You snuggled closer to her, holding her gaze for a second before you added, “And for the record, I notice everything you do for this family too. I know you don’t always get the credit you deserve, but I see it and appreciate it.” The mutual cheering up seemed to work for you both as you both decided to wiggle out from underneath her bed and have a proper hug of consolidation together.

“Let’s get back to it, shall we?” You suggested, a new confident smile on your face that wasn’t there before. The pair of you nodded before leaving the room, Mirabel out the door and you disappearing in a puff of smoke.

Can I request some headcanons of how the madrigals would interact with mirabel partner?

I’m not really doing encanto requests now (specified in my request post) but I ship with mira sooo-

Isabela is the kind of sister that will absolutely hunt you down if you hurt her baby sister. She doesn’t get to be the older sibling she would like to be. This gives her the opportunity to pull you aside and do the whole “don’t you dare hurt her or else” thing. And she absolutely means it

Luisa is busy a lot so you don’t get to interact with her often. But its clear from the looks she gives you and the way she smiles at you two that she ships it. After she gets to have more free time and you get to know her more she turns out to absolutely adore you. Very supportive. 10/10

Abuela doesn’t like you a lot at first. Mostly it’s because you distract your girlfriend and Abuela fears her grandchild acting “inappropriately” because of some “puppy love”. After the events of the movie she looks at you a bit more kindly, though she doesn’t go out of her way to form a friendship

Julieta and Augustine are a little worried because of the chaos Mirabel’s (not so little) crush creates. They even try to help Mirabel out with her first relationship, much to her horror. All in all they believe you’re a good kid and want you to feel welcomed in the family

Pepa and Felix are more neutral. They really don’t think too much of it as long as you’re good to their youngest niece. Otherwise I really wouldn’t want to be you-

For Bruno the whole family thing is very new. But he knows tropes, so he goes off of that. Tells you funny stories until embarrassed Mirabel drags you away and always makes (or attempts to make) small talk when you’re around the house

Its no surprise that Camilo teases Mira to hell and back. But he also tries to be on good terms with you, genuinely befriending you at some point

Dolores keeps her distance but she’s very kind to you. She’s another source of embarrassing gf stories, though it can work both ways

Antonio treats you like family at this point. He’s very generous and warm towards you, sometimes even clinging to you or inviting you to play in his room when you come to visit your other half

most may think mirabell’s love language would be words of affirmation - considering her family didn’t give her that for most of the movie,

but imo she puts her family and lover into two separate categories, and she doesn’t expect the same thing from each.

and plus, she does like affirmations like “i’m proud of you” not so much “you’re stunning” (as much as she does appreciate it, she would just explode lmfao)

she likes living in the moment with her partner, and it doesn’t matter what they’re talking about, or what they’re doing. it’s a breathe of fresh air - and she needs a lot of it sometimes - especially when she’s stressed.

she loves any kind of love her partner gives, but quality time means the most to her :)

he doesn’t need words of affirmations becuz he already thinks he’s amazing lol. like you’d go “camilo, ur awesome.” and he’d be like “ik sweetheart, ty for the reminder.”

he also wants to show you how manly he is so he is big on doing acts of service for u, but not so much the other way around. XD

gift giving (or ig receiving in this case) and quality time are something he loves, but physical touch still is at the top.
