i really liked hearing you talking about the geography of the west bank. id love to hear more about what you love about palestine if you want to talk about it. if not i hope u have a good day! i’m sorry anons are being so weird to you and i hope this ask doesn’t cross any boundaries

i've talked about a lottt of different things i love about palestine, but i can talk a bit more about the old city in nablus if you'd like :)

the old city is where you go if you want to find anything and everything. there are hundreds of shops and vendors and you get to meet so many different people and experience so many different things, it's so cool. over the shops and buildings are decorations and long cloths and banners that are colored in so many different ways, and they provide shade on hot days and sometimes the colors reflect off of the buildings and the ground so everywhere you go you're engulfed in bright and beautiful colors as you walk through the streets.

you can find a lot of different shops there, and they usually have huge portions of their products on display so you can pick and choose personally and serve yourself on what you'd like to buy. people who sell spices or nuts have HUGE bags of them and you get to grab a plastic kilo bag and fill up as much as you'd like. people who sell candy and gummies do the same thing, so you get to choose however much you want to fill up your bag. my family almost never is able to eat gummies where we live because it's not halal, so whenever we're in palestine we fill up kilos upon kilos of gummies in bags so we can take them back home and eat them :)) my uncle says the gummies they sell in palestine aren't halal either but whatever man where is the whimsy 😔😔 let us have this. the last time my dad went, he came back with a kilo bag of gummies after i asked him to bring some when he returned, so for months i kept the bag of gummies and slowly ate them. i finished the bag a while ago but i loveeeee gummies and whenever i find ones i'm allowed to eat, i'm very excited about it. i cannot escape my inner child.

there are many refreshments that you can find too. in the summers lots of vendors sell ice cream and slushies (as most places do, i assume) and different juices, one of them is 'tamar hindi' which is a drink you'll often see around ramadan and eid. there are stores that sell different pickled vegetables in barrels, and they'll even let you take some out directly and eat them so you can taste and choose which ones you prefer. of course there are lots of food places, but ohhhh my god there was one shawarma place in nablus that i went to that had the BEST shawarma i've ever eaten in my life. like by FAR it was one of the most delicious things i've ever eaten in my entire life and i'm not exaggerating. i yearn for a shawarma as good as the one i had in nablus. wallahi it was genuinely mind blowing. yall don't understand how good it was. i cry and sob over it all the time.

you can also find lots of clothes!! from our traditional palestinian abayas to modern t-shirts, you can find tons. a lot of the stuff that is sold in palestinian territories is bootleg, because real brands are hard to find their way in through the occupation. because of that, some of the more "modern" stuff is really low quality. i bought a belt from the old city and only was able to wear it once before it literally crumbled in my hands. it CRUMBLED. for 50 shekel too 😭😭😭 absolute shame. that's why i think it's more reliable to buy the traditional stuff, like tatreez designs, because at least that stuff is actually real.

there are jewlery shops too!! they're full of gorgeous designs and you can often find evil eye jewelry in a lot of places. i absolutely love the evil eye design and i have a lotttt of evil eye jewelry. some muslims disapprove though, but whatever. i just think it looks nice. i like its meaning too. interesting stuff to me.

palestinians use different types of currencies too!! we often use the israeli shekel, but that's slowly becoming out of use 🤷‍♂️ but we also use the jordanian dinar, and we even use american dollars, usd, to buy stuff.

OH LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE KNAFEH SHOP !! nablus is famous for knafeh. we're like. THE knafeh city. there's a very VERY famous old white-bearded man who owns the famous knafeh shop of nablus and you can almost always find him every day making knafeh. his place always has a huge amount of people there, watching him as he makes the knafeh right in front of them and then serves it out to everyone. genuinely THE knafeh of all time. him and his knafeh are a very cherished part of our city.

They are actually! I'm glad you sent an ask in for Lorenzo (': I’m gonna roll with him cause not even once has he made an appearance on my blog (do u guys want one of ness?) This one got a bit long cause there's a whole lot of stuff and my heart bled while writing for him </3

Body analysis : Prominent features are - his adonis belt and around it; has veins on his lower adonis belt. he has lower back dimples, and does plan on getting tattoos. Lorenzo has very long and nimble fingers (his palms and fingertips are scarred) with a prominent vein on the underside of his forearm. He is skinny-lean, prominent collarbones and an adam's apple. His skin is pale (he becomes more flesh colored when they go to the beach) ... Raven happy trail. He trims but he is messy (doesn't see the point of it. "Dah, it's natural why do i have to get rid of it?" *shrugs*) has dyed it purple before i will get into the dirty details and say ; ladies. this man is not scared of a bush. (he is more scared of things escalating with a woman than body hair if I'm being completely honest.) He has scars. They're not visible and have lightened up over time but he has a ton of them if you look more closely at him.

character analysis : more wholesome at the start ; but then it gets smutty towards the end. (he is a sub leaning switch and there is a reason for that as well) He is humble, grateful, appreciative of things and greedy at the same time (but there's a good reason for it.) Since he grew up poor and was abandoned by his parents on the streets, Lorenzo has had to fend for himself and anything small that you could toss away was like a treasure find to him. Pickpocketing was a job he used to live on and his living standards went so low that even his teeth became rotten (later replaced with gold teeth) Because he grew up on the streets there was barely any time for education and after snuffy opened a new world for him, he understood the value of money, work and the importance of it. So while he appreciates the things he has he is also greedy from the sense of deprivation he grew up with. (Question is - if i can afford it and if i want it, why can't i buy it?) But after growing up under snuffy's guidance he learns to value work and understands how to treat money accordingly. (he understands the better concept of earning - and learns to enjoy the fruits of hardwork)

One of the thoughts that he used to embrace was dying while living out on the streets but over a period of time, he learns that there is a lot more to live for. He loves going to rave parties cause if we're being honest, only people with a certain social status can get in so when he gets the title of an ace eater and is a footballer - he gets free access and no one can stop him. (he used to be outside venues that had rave parties so that he could scrounge for food and now he doesn't have to do it cause unlike years ago, he is in the rave and not outside of it) • An uncanny encounter (with an older lorenzo) - on his way home, he is pickpocketed by a kid and holds their arm when they try to get away with his wallet. He does a lot of charity work at the end of it cause he wants to save people who were like him (hopes to be a figure to someone like Snuffy was for him) [ Younger Lorenzo in comparison to this believes in the law of natural selection so he changes drastically as the years go by.]

Lorenzo steals food. He'd want a bite of whatever you're having (if you ordered something different from him and even applies when you're both eating the same thing). Always order 2 of your food choice if you decide to dine out. He likes Mcdonald's happy meals cause it comes with a free small toy (he keeps them on his shelf) (he is childish in a relationship)

He has never cared about his scars - he sees them everyday in the mirror. Living on the streets came with its own set of obstacles of - getting into fights, getting hurt from shrapnel on his hands, sometimes barely being able to run away with his life, messily done stitches either by himself or encountering people who did it for him, but when he meets you, he starts to notice them a lot more so he starts to have a seed of doubt. Kiss. his. scars. (and his tattoos)

It makes his eyes roll into the back of his head and he feels like he being healed. He loves the concept and idea of love but when he finds you - who is devoted, committed and affectionate for him (and just him) he is in love with the idea of being in love with you. And he wants more of it. loves it when you're on top of him and you're taking control cause you're giving him everything you have. While you're under him, he's taking everything you have to offer and will give to him while kissing your neck passionately. Where should your hands be? On him and always on him. Hates it when you're holding the headboard or the sheets so it's in his hair, his hands - fingers entwining with yours, or his back where he can feel your fingertips clinging to his skin. He moans loudly cause he knows you love it and he is extremely vocal in bed cause he wants you to know the effect you have on him and how good he feels. Physical touch does things to him and it is important for him - you can be assured that any part of his body is always touching you. He sits close to you, his shoulder touching yours. He will always hold your hand and rolls his eyes when you pull it away from him. (he will grasp harder if you try to do that his bicep flexes subtlety when he does that... its hot.) He grows fond of hickies. First he hates the look of it since it takes him back to the old days of when he used to get hurt, but the feeling of your tongue on his skin and of how you left it on him with his hand caressing your head when he sees it in the mirror changes his mind otherwise. he's a sadomasochist.

He asks hard hitting questions on days and you have to assure him ; "Do I really make you happy... are you sure? I don't want you to be sad ok?" He smiles when you tell him how much you love him in return. Reaction varies between on the verge of ugly crying and clinging to you or being ecstatic and pinching your cheeks with a soft playful touch - "I love you too."

so on September it's my freshman year, im so excited, and especially bcz im going to a new school, which means new people, new experiences and stuff.

Ik high school isn't as perfect as i see it in movies, and that my skl won't take us on a road trip and leave us all alone so we can have fun 💀 but i was wondering if u had any tips for high skl.

I also kinda wanna have a glow up, both physical and mental, during summer, and since ur a whole glowup guru I thought u could give me a "program" to follow so i can look, think and behave better, especially cz my mom doesn't allow me to go out so no gym or activities outside, and she thinks im too young to have a skincare or follow a diet yk.

sorry this is late. classes have been insane. congratulations on your new school! it's always exciting when you try something new, and I promise you're gonna love it.

now, im assuming you're 15/16 years old, since you're a freshman. Before I say anything about having fun in high school, I need to you remember that while TV and movies glorify high school as this really crazy time where you party and have fun (yes, you will have fun I promise), its important to keep in mind that these four years will help you decide your future and get into college. So work hard, and party harder.

Okay, now that I've said that, let's tackle this bit by bit.

How to have fun in high school:

Have sleepovers: They're a fun and easy way to bond with friends. Order tons of junk food and stay up all night.

Picnics: My favourite activity. Dress up and have a themed picnic, and have a photoshoot.

Pool party: If someone you know has a pool, go have fun in the water!

Hang out: Honestly, this was the most fun I had in high school. Just meet at someone's house or at the park, and just chat. Or bring an activity to do together (crochet, playing cards, etc). Buy some snacks and play some music and it's the most chill vibe ever. You will love it.

Start a band: If you play an insturment/ sing, start a band! It's so much fun to practice and perform with friends!

Join a club: You can make lots of like-minded friends at clubs at school. Pick something you really like to do.

How to glow-up for high school:

Workout:

There's no rule that the gym is the only place to workout. When I was 15, I wasn't allowed to the gym either, so I had to make do.

Youtube videos: There are tons and tons of great workout videos from people with a large following. My favourites are Caroline Girvan, growingannanas, Pamela Reif and Madfit. Go get sweaty!

Makeshift weights: You can water bottles filled with water/sand as weights or buy ankle weights to put around your wrists as you get stronger.

Run: This is an amazing source of cardio. I gave up a while back on this because I detest running, but it really does work. Plug in your headphones and go for a run in nature.

Dance: Dancing is a really fun way to workout. Try Zumba, hip-hop or K-pop routines. Hell, even Just Dance has some good ones. Join a class if you want to stay accountable.

Diet:

Honestly, I can't give a lot of advice to you here, because I'm not qualified enough. Go to a nutritionist to see if there's anything you can do. If not, make sure to eat plenty of protein and fibre, limit your junk food intake and drink lots of water. Make lots of salads and fruit bowls. Overnight oats are healthy, filling and delicious.

What I like to do, is eat everything in moderation. Say I've had a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. I won't deny myself a nice bowl of ice-cream (again, not a sundae, the key is moderation). But if I've had greasy food for lunch and takeout for dinner, I'll probably settle for fruit instead. Know that you can eat without punishing yourself, but remember not to go overboard. Food is fuel, remember.

Other tips:

Skincare: Don't make it too fancy. I know influencers and the like have those weird 15-step skincare routines, but it isn't necessary. I use the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, and the most basic Cetaphil face lotion I could find along with an organic lip balm my mom buys. It works like a charm and itsn to too fancy. I also take an ABC smoothie (Apple, Beetroot, Carrot + some water.) This is such a game-changer.

Abundance mindset: I like to think of the universe constantly working in my favour. It's always looking out for me, and I'm the luckiest girl in the world. What you think is what you attract. If you think negatively, you will begin to see only bad things around you. Stay positive.

Wardrobe: Go thrifting, or DIY some old clothes. Pinterest has tons of amazing ideas. Paint your T-shirts, dye your skirts, make cute jewellery at home. There are no limits.

Makeup: I don't recommend it honestly. I'm more or less anti makeup to the point where I only own two pieces of makeup(eyeliner and lip gloss) and even those are used sparingly. Don't get used to your painted face. Your natural beauty is beautiful; and should not be hidden. There's something so amazing in someone who is confident in their own skin. Own yourself, and people will love you more for it.

where do u find resources and information about food and nutrition and holistic natural medicine? i have eczema, asthma, bad allergies, and ive always trusted that the only available treatment was through doctors, although theyve never been able to help. im giving up on them and i want my lifestyle to be its own medicine. im eating a lot better but in terms of supplements the sheer volume of information on the internet is very overwhelming.

i started to get into health and science around when i was 15. i first learned about blood types and nutrition and from there my interest in the field expanded. i am now 27 and still learning new things everyday &things in the holistic field are always changing, new info is always out there.

i started out research around my own problems which was my liver function, thyroid, eczema, fibroids and GERD, i started out with adjusting my diet which made my symptoms improve greatly. it was insane how good i felt just by adjusting something so simple as my diet. you’re on the right path!

i love paul stamets, he has AMAZING books online about mycology (mushrooms are like my #1 go to, my fav) also, my old job provided schooling and a shit ton of classes where i was able to kinda take some classes around the subject of health and science, nutrition, and ayurvedic care.

when u start researching paul stamets, u’ll start to see more names pop up (he works with a lot of ayurvedic practitioners)

it’s rly overwhelming but starting at one place, say your liver, and go from there. you’ll research “natural ways to promote a healthy liver” or smthn like that, see milk thistle, and from there you’ll see the different ways milk thistle can be used or taken. that’s how i do it!! but it can be overwhelming and intimidating.

it’s also rly amazing ur taking ur health into your own hands. have lots of patience and be kind to yourself! i hope you can find what works best for you. i hope this wasn’t a shit reply, im kinda out of it but if u have any questions, i can help to the best of my ability. i have such wonderful mutuals too, they help me a lot too!! talking to people and their experiences also help a lot with research <3

wow pre-law, that's so impressive!! from what I've been told, law school is really useful even if you don't want to actually be a lawyer. but also no rush, it's a ton of work if you're not really sure you want to go for it.

"akaashi, please stop" "but this is really good" "yeah but i wouldn't be able to take you seriously" "then i'll read more passionately" "babe if you don't sTOP-"

⇨ 𝐁𝐎𝐊𝐔𝐓𝐎 asks "you can't sleep? mE TOO" then turns the TV on to watch a movie with you <3 he storms out the room before the movie starts and grabs a bowl of popcorn on the way back and you chose not to mind the ones that fell on the floor when he ran back to you. he likes cuddles and initiates to be the big spoon bc he wants you to be comfy. he'd pick a romcom so both of you would feel light-hearted before sleeping. but really, it's just an excuse for him to avoid watching horror movies with you, and you insist otherwise. "bo, why don't you want to watch a horror movie anyway?" "i'd be too scared to sleep" "but i'm here?" "i have you and me that i have to protect from ghosts ok" i can imagine him instantly standing up just when he hears a strange noise coming out of nowhere HFJSDGF A BIG BABY

⇨ 𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐀 is really excited to hear that you can't sleep because he was too hyper to do so. will ask you if you wanted to bike with him. bike ?? but he insists Miyagi's roads are safe to stroll around at night. he grabs the two bikes for you and both of you start to talk about life under the starry night <3 "what do you think of my spikes" "hinata, you ask me this literally everyday" "but you give me the best compliments!!" "fine, you're really good. but next time don't hit kageyama's head while serving" "you don't have to bring that up!!1!" all the cycling made you tired, so as you get back home, you feel drowsy and tired enough to fall asleep, and he is as well <3

⇨ 𝐊𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐘𝐀𝐌𝐀 tells you that it’s good to drink milk before sleeping. he actually does this and you notice that he’s fast asleep afterwards (when does he ever not drink milk anyways ??). whenever you tell him you can’t sleep, he makes sure that there’s a stock of milk cartons in the fridge just to make sure to never run out <3 “i can’t sleep” “how about you drink your milk” “but i'm gonna feel full” “well i’m not one who has a messed up sleep schedule, boke” he didn’t have to call you out like that 😔 but he got out of bed to pour you a glass of milk regardless <3

⇨ 𝐊𝐈𝐓𝐀 is really strict with you since he knows how sleep is important to you. he will NOT hesitate to wait for you to say that you can’t sleep. instead, he would give you lavender-scented candles and an eye mask before bedtime. he also cooks you boiled eggs since he says it helps with the melatonin, but will give you a tart cherry juice instead if you preferred not to eat <3 vERY responsible boyfriend, don't argue with me on this !! he'd also tell you to do the 4-7-8 breathing technique if you still can't sleep. "are you sure this will help?" "Obachan told me about this technique and it makes me fall asleep faster, try it" then proceeds to cuddle you whilst you do it. before you know it, you're already fast asleep !! although you'd have to ask him the next day about which helped you sleep faster <3

⇨ 𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐔 insists to cook you something. you told him you were too hungry to sleep, so he brings you to the kitchen so you can watch him cook :') he says ramen is too heavy to digest at night so he cooks you miso soup instead !! this soup contains a lot of benefits so he's more than glad to offer you something that will be good for you <3 you watch him prepare all the ingredients before putting it altogether like magic. even if you don't like miso, the way he cooks it will be a life-changer for you because this man not only cooks, he cooks with passion !! you both devour the carefully-made soup then head back to your room to prepare to sleep <3 "did you like it?" "i did, 'samu, it tasted really good" "don't make yourself hungry before bedtime next time" but really, you just can't resist his perfect food recipes <3

⇨ 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐀 shows you his stolen pics of the team (especially atsumu LOL) which makes you both laugh so hard your cheeks and stomachs hurt !! he would also tell you the backstory of each picture so you would know the context. there are several questionable scenes, one of which is kita massaging his forehead in the background while atsumu flashes his butt to the team inside the locker room. another one is a blurred selfie with the team in the background dancing to tiktok songs. "and if you look closely, you'll see a disappointed aran" "i bet this was atsumu's idea" "yeah, especially this one song where you throw it back." both of you get exhausted with the laughing and cackling so you finally fall asleep afterwards, with his arm around your waist <3

⇨ 𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐀 gives you his giant dinosaur plushie. you’d be confused at first, because he doesn’t let anyone, not even yamaguchi, touch those plushies he cherishes very dearly. he actually has to choose since he has a ton of these in different dinosaur species. you know this, because he snuggles with different ones every night. you know that meme with the girlfriend sleeping with her 500 dollar four foot tall mareep? yep, that’s the sitch 😔 heart been broke so many times. BUT tsukishima is actually sweet enough to let you hold his plushies. “tsukki,, i can’t sleep” “here, have this T-rex” “but you don’t let anyone touch your plushies” “these help me sleep and it’s you anyways, take it” 🥺🥺🥺 then he insists to put the plushie between you both so he can cuddle it as well. tsukki said sharing is caring <3
