Thank you to Our Sensory Life
“I spent to many years thinking it was normal to be trapped like this and I was just 'lazy'.
If you relate to this, please hear me, you're not lazy. I know how bad it feels.”

curious to know abt the correlation between neurodiverse folks and tattoos. bc i as an audhder would simply Never Get A Tattoo because i hate the idea of something being on my body permanently.
(this is also why i want to go on t and have the ftm surgeries but also don't want to anything permanent bc What If I Regret It)
so like nd people. what's y'all's opinions on tattoos.

i think its quite telling that my autistic side-blog that i just started consistently gets more notes than my main blog that i’ve been running for like six years. and that the only posts on my main that get any notes are about autism/adhd. very telling indeed... telling what, i don’t know, but it sure is telling something

Why I Say I'm ADtistic Instead of an AuDHDer

Why I Say I’m ADtistic Instead of an AuDHDer
First of all, I was diagnosed as ADHD first; why does Autism get to go in the front? Jokes aside, sort of, the other reasons are the multiple spellings and pronunciations:
Spelling
AuDHD(er)
AUDHD(er)
AUdhd(er)
Pronunciation
A-U-DHD(er)
AW-D-HD(er)
If I missed any, it proves my point. With ADtistic (A-D-tistic)… that’s it, unless someone wants to be a smartass. ADtistic is easier to remember. In addition, AuDHD(er) / AUDHD(er) / AUdhd(er), while creative, is too much of a mouthful and takes too long to say, anyway you wanna say it. And typing/writing it is annoying. ADtistic, however, has the same “ring” Autistic does. “I don’t ‘have’ Autism; I’m Autistic.” “I don’t ‘have’ ADHD and Autism; I’m ADtistic.” Inversely: “I don’t ‘have’ ADHD and Autism; I’m an A-U-DHDer/AW-D-HDer/Any I missed.” Also, saying “I’m ADtistic” will, probably, prompt the question, “Don’t you mean autistic?” which creates a teachable moment. Or the opportunity to be a smartass, if that’s your thing. Lastly, more of a sidenote, since every language is made up, and new words are being made up for them on a regular basis and/or being redefined, when only talking about ADHD, I say, “I’m ADHD” instead of “I’m an ADHDer.”
I am ADHD. I am Autistic. I am ADtistic.
Well, this is all for today! Thank you for reading! May every decision you make be in the spirit of fairness and may the rest of your day NOT go to $#!7!

Cringe storytime: When I was younger I was sort of a huge crybaby or atleast very sensitive over little moments and my family and friend's found it annoying or something maybe just my mom did tho but I don't know yet since it's been so long and I can't remember due to issues but anyways. So when I was like in the grade when I would have been 10-11 or something I was getting into anime and manga(including Yandere Simulator but Alex Mahan sucks lmao), I attempted to copy Ayano in an attempt to be less sensitive so I didn't show emotion for 7-8 weeks until my best friend at that grade got concerned until I finally broke out of it. I needed to be bullied more. Lmfao!!

(Watching a How To ADHD video on forgetting things)
Me: Yeah. This is all pretty relatable.
(Hiromi suddenly sits up halfway through)
Me: Shit! I forgot to take my Adderall!

Not me, getting too excited about the sequel to what I'm writing to actually write
Not me, wondering if I've laid enough groundwork in to support these big plans
Nevermind that it's the rough draft and adding stuff for foreshadowing and continuity during editing is well within my wheelhouse
And even if it weren't my notes are painfully detailed-- I'd need to forget English to not understand them
Not me procrastinating by posting something I'm sure no one will see

If you think that dyslexic/dyscalculic people and ADHDers are stupid or something like that, read this.
Today I was doing Maths homework with one of my BFF.
He's a tutor for middle/high school students.
While we were doing Maths, he told me that I am faster at learning than other students without dyslexia, dyscalculia and ADHD.
He told me that he's proud of me. I'm so lucky to have a friend like him.

⚠️ Trigger warning for mentions of involuntary self harm ⚠️
The reality of being disabled and autistic is being covered in bruises bc you had a meltdown over last minute laundry and hit and bit yourself a bajillion times.
