anonymous asked- Lambda could potentially turn his nanomachine dick into any configuration he or his partner may want but its gonna probably be hard to keep it that way if poor Lambs is nervous during the tango. Other times he just wants to rawed down but mayhaps the cybussy can configure to take more or less? 👀 I want to see what NSFW headcanons you have for my character. Go on anon if you’d like. Be as graphic or as vague as you want. If I like it, I’ll accept it. (accepting!)

✅- Approved!
He's absolutely the type to lose focus and flub up whatever dick configuration he's got going on. Especially if he's nervous. As for him being able to fit more inside of him, I don't really know? Like, I wanted to keep it as close to a regular human as possible (despite the whole cyborg thing) up to how much one could logically fit inside of them?
But who knows maybe?

Oh, I would LOVE to hear more about your college au!!
I feel like a lot of folks just age them up and call it a day, but I love when I run into people really detail their own au out. One thing I loved that I ran into once was the idea that each dorm was divided into majors - and that's part of your sorting. Pomefiore being Theater Arts (Epel, farm boy going to college to improve and modernize his town agriculture, is just extra horrified lol) though I figure they could probably pick their own minor.
Anyway, I adore hearing details!
TWST College AU (First Years!!!)
🍓Hiiiiii! Thank you for asking! I figured I'd just answer this informally since it shouldn't take too long! (And, to be honest, I don't feel like writing a bunch of headcannons for the entire cast :/)
I really like the idea of the dorms being sorted by major, but uhm... I see Ace as a Film major and Riddle as a Med School student so... that wouldn't really work for me?
The basic idea IS to age them up because I am a college student and I want to write about college students -- plus, the twst campus is set up A LOT like a college already, so I always felt weird that it was a high school? Even when I was still a high schooler playing the game, it never felt like a high school, so obviously I decided to just... change it because that's what fanfic is for.
I also didn't want to just... make them all 18. Like... consistency is important people! Leona is 24 now, sorry girlies <3
So I've talked about the age differences and explained Ortho and all that in my rules (read them please :3). I also mentioned that they act differently! The first years won't change too much, because they are still NEW college students, but they respond to things with more maturity than they would if they were just 15/16 year olds. Because... of course, they would. (I would hope 18-year-olds would be a little more mature.)
But I didn't talk about the structures that I changed, mostly based on my own schedule. I'm only gonna use the first years as examples so please forgive me for ignoring your faves <3
So, the first thing I changed is there is no homeroom teacher because we don't have homeroom teachers in college! So, students have multiple different classes throughout the day.
Let's take our little film major Ace, shall we? Ace's first class of the day is a 'core' class, which is the class he has with Yuu and Deuce. It's a basic magic history course that's required for everyone to take, and it's mostly filled with other first-years. Jack, Epel, and Sebek are all in the class too! This class happens three times a week, MWF. He has three other classes, two of which are major-related and one of which is another core magic class.
Each student has their own specific schedule, and they sometimes overlap with each other. This includes first, second, and third years. To give you a little example: Epel and Ruggie take a course on magic plants together!
Many of the courses at NRC have magic at their core -- because it's a magic school -- but their students are free to study whatever they please! That's why Ace is a film major because he wants to be. He cannot, however, pick what kind of magic he gets to study.
Because, of course, the kind of magic you study is based on the dorm you are sorted into. Students have to take at least four classes to do with their dorm's magic type to graduate. It's harder for some students and easier for others.
Epel, of course, hates Pomefiore because he HATES potion-making. He is also surrounded by many theatre majors because... well... just because your dorm doesn't decide your major doesn't stop the same types of people from gathering in one place.
Each dorm has a stereotypical major type associated with it. Many students in Octinivelle are business majors, Pomefiore is performing arts, Savanahclaw is the fitness kids, etc.
So, with all that out of the way, I want to go through the core cast of first years. Namely, their majors and the way I've tweaked their personalities.
Ace: As I mentioned, he's a film major! He loves movies, and he's such a geek about them, so he thought 'Why not!' To be specific, he wants to go into film writing, but he's not dedicated himself to it yet. He's still got four years ahead of him, so he doesn't have to worry about it too hard. Ace is a LOT more chill as a college student. He still teases his friends and he's STILL a huge dickhead, but he knows when he fucked up and needs to apologize. He's more willing to just back off when he needs to and accept his faults as his own, unlike highschool Ace in game. He's still got a firey personality and will stand up to authority, so at his core, he's still the same Ace, just a bit more chilled out.
Deuce: Is a first-generation college student, so he feels like he's got a lot riding on his back. He went into business, mostly because he felt like he HAD to if he wanted a good life for himself. However, he dabbles in a lot of stuff. He constantly does a ton of extracurriculars and is curious about all the courses at NRC. This Deuce is more self-assured than he usually is. He's confident in what he feels he wants/needs, even if it ISN'T what he wants/needs. He, however, still is not great at managing his anger. He still has really big outbursts when he's been upset by something, but he tries his best to keep a cool head and ALWAYS apologizes afterward to his friends.
Jack: You guys are just gonna have to trust me on this one. Jack is majoring in kinesiology with a minor in physical education. He wants to be a personal trainer/occupational therapist! In my opinion, Jack stays the MOST consistent among the first years. He's still pretty strong in his sense of justice, and he's reliable and generally pretty nice. The only thing I could really see changing is that he's a bit more approachable and he's more willing to talk to his fellow students.
Epel: POOR EPEL LMAO. He's an agricultural major, specifically in Agribusiness so he can help his family farm grow more, because he loves his granny so much. He also minors in Agricultural magic -- so, learning about how magic can be used to cultivate plants and the like. Imagine his surprise when he's shoved into the "performing arts" dorm. Epel has more come into his own as a college student. He'd be less pissy about his more feminine looks, though he still tries his best to appear more masculine. He's more willing to bite back at Vil than normal as well because he's an adult now and he doesn't wanna be pushed around.
Ortho: Kid genius! He's a robot, so of course he's a kid genius. Ortho is the only member of the cast who is still under 18 (he's 16 years old and in college!) He majors in computer science, specifically robotics -- he likes to understand how he works lol. BUT, he's an anthropology minor! He likes learning about humans too! He's still very much adoring of his brother, but he has a personality outside of that lol. He's sassy and witty, and really sociable! I'd go so far as to say he's popular around campus, especially since he involves himself in a bunch of different activities.
Sebek: Sebek majors in Magical Studies! It's a general major that can be filtered down into multiple different specific majors, but as for now, he's just Magic Studies generally. Sebek is... an oddball... even still in college. His love for Malleus has never gone away, nor has his dedication. He's like the kid you meet who never really grew up past their freshman year -- mostly because they were never really exposed to ideas outside of what they know. College would have him on edge because A LOT of it is just questioning what he knows, and he's not handling it well. I would say he's probably more awkward than anything. Not as in him making others uncomfortable with his weird behaviors, but him making HIMSELF uncomfortable because of it lol. (He still needs to grow a lot!)
That's all I can think of though! Thank you for asking, I loveeeeeeee questions!!

like a slip and slide
summary: you beat your boyfriend to the bathroom at the hotel and claimed the first shower. he decides that it's a shower made for the both of you. but you need to be quiet. fandom: austin butler pairing: austin butler x plus size! reader word count: 1540 warnings: unprotected p in v sex. wrap it before ya tap it. minor negative self talk. austin flexing his muscles. fear of getting caught. actually getting caught ( technically ). i think that's it? author's note. welcome to day 8 of kinktober shower sex with austin butler. i...made this a plus size reader because i've very specifically wanted to write one and really wanted to do it for kinktober. i'm fond of shower sex so i figured this was as good as any to do it with. i'd apologize but honestly, i've been plus sized pretty much all my life so let me write about austin butler picking someone up in the shower and taking them to pound town. and i truly did try and avoid the normal insecure plus size element but trust me while i'm very secure in my size ( over two decades with it will do that to a woman ), i one hundred percent have had the "oh jesus can you even pick me up" issue pop up. anon, i know you had the particular scenario in your head. i tweaked it just a hair so hopefully you enjoy.
Tumblr media
You feel Austin before you see or hear him. You feel his arms wrap around your waist as one of his hands moves to grip your hip. You feel his lips against your neck before either one of you utters a single word.
"Austin." You whine, dragging out the -in of his name. "I won fair and square. You're interrupting me time."
Austin huffs out a laugh, the warmth of his breath hitting the side of your neck that for some reason felt cool, causing a shiver to run through your body. "Me time. Are you sure we can't make it us time?
A moment passes before you exhale softly, your hips rolling back and rubbing your ass against Austin's cock. You had guessed he was at least partially hard but hadn't quite been expecting for him to be fully hard. You hum after you hear his sharp intake of breath. "Us time. In the shower. You know we can't, baby."
His hand slides down from your hip slowly until he reaches between your thighs. It doesn't take but a moment for him to force your legs open just enough for him to cup your pussy, teasing you with the mere promise of his fingers while he stands behind you. He rocks his hips forward as he pushes slides one finger in, first the tip then slowly up to his knuckle. "Why not? I'm here, you're here. You're soaking wet in more ways than one. Come on, sweetheart. You can feel how much I want you. I've been like this since dinner, seeing you all dressed up in that dress that hugged everything."
His tone is one of pride, knowing that sometimes when going out with him and your family you didn't choose something nearly that form fitting but today was his lucky day as he saw every curve and dip and everything in between just in that dress. "Please? Just let me fuck you. Feel your pussy hugging my cock."
"Aus-" You start a little breathless before shaking your head. "That would mean you've got to pick me up, and you-" The next words you utter are swallowed by the gasp you utter as Austin rocks forward again, biting softly at your neck.
"Turn around." He murmurs, loosening his grip around your waist and on your hip.
You don't want to, feeling as if Austin's got a plan up his sleeve that you don't know about, that maybe he plans on sinking to his knees like he does most of the time when he proposes the idea of you two having sex in the shower. It wouldn't be unwelcome but honestly, you wish you could have sex with him in the shower. You know you're not light necessarily and you know he can pick you up, he's done it on occasion from the bathtub to the bed, or from one place to another place in a short distance. But shower sex would be different, it requires a longer period of time holding you up and if you weren't against the wall like you've been sometimes when you're both feeling too needy to even make it to the bed or the floor, well he was going to get tired and you didn't want that. A sigh passes your lips as you turn around, ready to see Austin on his knees or ready to hear him say something.
What you don't expect is to feel his hands cup your ass and then slide down to the back of your thighs and just lift you up. A startled yelp escapes your lips as you wrap your arms around Austin. "What are you doing?!"
Austin just hums before kissing your lips, down your jaw and right down to your neck, gathering just a bit of your skin in his mouth before sucking. You feel yourself becoming wetter as you feel the hot water hitting your back and as you feel Austin's kisses against you burning a trail of fire. He finally pulls back just enough to smirk. "Shh, You don't want them to hear us do you? But, I'm lifting up my girlfriend so that I can sink her onto my dick so that I can fuck her in the shower. So that I can feel her legs around my waist and so that she can feel me in places she's never felt before." Your eyes widen slightly before he continues, looking down to focus on actually making sure he can slip between your folds. "I don't just have these muscles for show, baby."
A retort is on your lips but it flutters away the second you feel his cock inside you. He was right, you could have sworn you've never felt him like this, you've never felt part of his cock brush up against your clit from the angles you're both in, you've never felt how full he makes you feel like this. It makes it hard for you to remember how to breathe, a stuttered attempt happening once, twice, three times before you take a deep breath and groan, your words half slurred together. "Christ Austin."
His lips curl into a smile as he shifts his grip just a hair when your legs finally remember they're a part of this and wrap around him. He kisses you gently, his tongue coaxing your mouth open and meeting your own tongue when you finally do open it. He kisses like he wants to savor you, like he wants to take his time tasting every inch of your mouth like he isn't already intimately familiar with everything about you.
Except maybe this. Maybe this is different because you've never tried it before maybe that's why he's savoring it and you. Or maybe he's worried you're going to make enough noise to wake up your family in the next room over.
"Barely even fucked you yet and you're already slurring." He chuckles before using his grip to lift you up just a bit before dropping you back down. "Come on, ride me like this, use those thighs I love so much."
"Aus I ca-"
He nips at your bottom lip before shaking his head. "None of that, I've had my head between them enough, I know your thighs have that strength. Come on baby, let me bury my face in your breasts while you use my cock the way you want to."
Your legs tighten around him at the comment about having him against your chest and you force yourself to cant your hips just so to get started. It's different than riding him horizontally, more effort expended with each slide of your bodies against one another and you can't tell if it's the water or your own juices making an obscene noise as you ride Austin. He wasn't lying when he said he'd bury his face in your chest, alternating between taking your nipples in his mouth, sucking and biting and while normally you prefer his hands on them he makes up for it, sucking little hickies all around them, his hand under your thighs squeezing them reflexively like he thinks they're where they normally would be on your chest. You're not sure when it happens, when the sensation of his cock in you and everything in between overwhelms you but you start to feel your body tightening like the spring it always does when you're about to come. You try and tell Austin this, tell him that you love him for this but any thought you have gets swept away in a haze of your orgasm and in your nails digging into this upper back. You try to muffle the sound against Austin, try and remember to be quiet but you swear you can still hear your moan echo in the bathroom. Austin thrusts against you, easing you down from your high while chasing his own. It's lazy and a little softer than you expected but you realize why once he speaks, nuzzling against your neck.
"I'm going to let you down and I'm going to clean you up, okay? Pretty sure I'm gonna see my come sliding down your legs." He takes a few heavy breathes. "Your legs okay?"
You nod. "Yeah. I'm good- you- you came? I didn't-"
"Right about the time you decided to use my back as a pincushion for your nails and probably woke up your cousins." Austin looks a little bashful and chagrined at that knowledge before he continues. "On the count of three, baby."
His countdown is slower than you expected but when he reaches three, your toes hit the bottom of the shower, slipping just a tad but Austin catches you with a quick grip of your hips to steady you before you lose any more of your footing.
You open your mouth to say something before you hear pounding on the wall joining your room and the next one and your aunt's voice telling you to two to keep it down. In the moment after all you and Austin can do is laugh as you actually try and clean each other off.
You make a note for the next trip you might take with your family- get a room far away from everyone else.

So my idea of a crossover between Death Note and Durarara!! would be to have Mikado find the Death Note.
A lot of people think Izaya would be the Light Yagami figure, but Izaya isn't the master manipulator genius type that a lot of people think he is. Yes, he can and will manipulate and he is certainly bright, but not in some grandiose, "I have everything set up and planned" sort of way. He likes to have the image of that, but it's not who he is. He prefers the randomness of it all. He loves humans, and therefore treats them like the Sims left on free will, with the occasional little tweak on his part. On that same note, Izaya wouldn't kill random people. He could care less if some people get hurt by his actions, or if they decide to kill each other, but killing is not his forte. The only exceptions to his style are those he dislikes (eg. Shizuo, Saika, maybe Celty) and the odd jobs that require him to take such actions in order for him to get paid (eg. the Amphisbaena arc). In these cases, his actions are more direct and involved, with him at the centre of the danger, which may involve the death of a person.
So instead I see him playing as a Ryuk figure to a much more naive and increasingly unpredictable Mikado. Watching to alleviate boredom, and occasionally poking in to get the ball rolling more.
Mikado with a Death Note is a much more interesting concept, because I can see him actually using it, granted with some hesitation from the start. While Izaya may get rid of any non human characters he considers in the way of his love for humanity (would it work on a demon sword?), Mikado would start using it in his reach for an extraordinary life. And we've seen how far he can push for that in the last arc.
I can see him finding it in the park, in the Mika Harima arc. While I considered giving it to him later, I think right from the start could help him settle into the idea of murder for the right reasons. Of course he wouldn't use it right away. Either he considers it a prank, or sees it as wrong to just test it out and kill a random person, or even just wish death upon them. He would feel tempted when he thinks Seiji and Namie killed Mika, but until he has all the evidence, he would resist.
In the Saika arc, the urge would grow stronger, but of course nobody knows who the actual Slasher is, so he has no way of confirming the books abilities by killing them. Takashit would be a good contender, but there is no final push moment there that could lead him to it.
I think the best contender for the first victims would be Horada and his group, right at the end of the Yellow Scarves arc. After chasing Anri (I know its anime only, but lets include it) and getting Masaomi severely injured, I can see Mikado asking who did this to them, and writing his name down in a sort of silent fury. It's not until the news confirms that Horada and his group were found after dying of heart attacks, when the horror of what he had done sinks in for Mikado. He would quickly hide the Death Note, vowing to not use it again, and won't touch it for a while, at least until the Akane arc.
During this time, I can see Izaya being curious as to the cause of these men dying in such a way at the exact same time. So he might investigate it.
On top of that, I can see the Death Note once belonging to Celty in this universe. She is a sort of grim reaper after all, so if she's lost her head, it's not far fetched to believe, that other aspects of her roll were lost too. Maybe Nebula and Yagiri pharmaceuticals had it, but saw no use for it, and threw it away. Maybe after seeing Horada's death on the news, Celty realises what's happened, remembers her Death Note, and rushes to try and find it before anything else happens.
Perhaps Izaya notices this and decides to try and find it himself. And this is what leads to him finding out it's Mikado who has it, at about the same time Aoba offers to help purge the Dollars. Izaya doesn't really do anything about it, and instead decides to watch how things go. And to prolong it a little, he decides to keep Mikado's secret identity as this universes "Kira" safe.
And of course, after being given the idea to "purge" the Dollars by Aoba, Mikado then begins to consider using the Death Note to do so. His next group of victims are the ones who kidnapped Chikage's girlfriend. And from there, he starts killing anyone in the Dollars who misbehaves. This goes hand in hand with his hope for the Dollars to become like an urban legend. Whether or not he sticks to the murder as a last resort, or he just ignores Aoba as an option I have left undecided. I say this as if I'm gonna write the full thing.
1. Mikado kills the guy who attacks Shinra. Izaya, for once, takes a disliking to his actions, because he wanted to make the guy suffer more for what he did. He doesn't specify why though. Mikado, maybe getting a little more unhinged and tactical at this point, warns Izaya that he himself has hinted at causing problems in the Dollars, and that it would be a lot easier if he wasn't around to do that anymore. Izaya has a rare moment "oh fuck, what have I done, oh fuck, this kid might kill me."
From there I don't know fully how things would go. But I do have some vague ideas for big dramatic moments and how other characters might fit into this. Some of them may be illogical and not add up, but I just think they would be cool ideas:
Can't decide if Aoba: knows about the death note, and is in a similar position; doesn't know, but is part of a growing follower base for this universes "Kira" because it's shown to benefit him in some way; or just straight up dies quickly because of endangering Anri.
Assume that Mikado has a way to ensure nobody else gets ahold of the Death Note, because if either of these guys decide they have had enough and steal it for themselves, that would just be boring.
3. Shizuo gets killed because of acting up one too many times and negatively impacting the Dollars image. Yes there is irony in that.
2. Mikado is definitely posting as "Kira" on the Dollars site, confirming why he killed certain people and ensuring the rest of the Dollars stay in line.
It also emphasises how it might be giving Mikado too much of an ego with how much power it is giving him over some of the most notorious people of Ikebukuro, further cementing the Dollars into the history of the city.
It also gives further fuel to Celty finding her Death Note.
5. The van gang could give some funny references, but they are also there to find the killer. Because they are ruining what was once a decent community.
4. Vorona wants to find and kill "Kira", because if they can kill anyone, including Shizuo, then surely they are a worthy opponent. She also has the added benefit of having a fake name.
Other "Kira" hunters might include: Simon, Akane, Masaomi and the Awakusu.
But those are all my ideas for it. They sort of came to me a while back when someone in the fandom was talking about Death Note. Can't remember who, or what about, but I finally got to have my chance to talk about it.

Mass Effect 2 replay, the suicide mission:
-I haven’t romanced anyone in ME2, so instead I stared longingly at Kaidan’s photo.
I like to think Shepard wrote him an email that would autosend if she didn’t make it back, but alas that did not make it in.
-Heavy ammo is not required for the Occulus, and I wish Miranda would stop insisting it is. I’ve never used heavy ammo on it and I’m not about to start now.
-I know Jacob is heavily criticized for volunteering to unlock the doors, but it doesn’t bother me.
It feels more like he’s leading by example – he wants to project confidence so others feel confident as well.
(I was not expecting so much of this replay to be me being a Jacob apologist.)
-When selecting who will go through the shaft, Tali is the first option listed. It’s like the game is giving you a strong hint.
-But then when you get to picking the leader for the second fire time, the valid options are listed at the bottom. Garrus, Miranda, Jacob. You can’t make it through the mission by repeatedly clicking x.
-The send off speech comes off a bit odd if you got all the ship upgrades.
Shepard: We’ve lost good people.
No, we haven’t. And the reason we left ASAP was to avoid losing anyone.
-Opening the valves was absolute hell. ME2 Shepard can’t run, keeps getting stuck in cover, and got stuck in the floor(?) a few times so I couldn’t move at all.
-I know it’s sacrilege, but the Collector Base is not that interesting for me. It’s a rehash of the Collector ship except this time you’re choosing various specialists. I wish Bioware had done something to differentiate it more.
-How does Chackwas know what happened to the colonists taken by the Collectors?
I know they were conscious in the pods, but how well could they see what was going on around them?
Kudos to Chackwas I suppose for keeping that cool of a head on her while she waited to be melted.
-I rescued the entire crew, but there are not nearly enough crew members shown in shots where everyone is speaking.
-For the biotic specialist selection, Samara and Jack are on top.
-For the second diversion team, the valid leaders are on the bottom again.
-At the start of the long walk, there’s a random corpse on the ground.
Wasteful of the Collectors, considering they need millions more humans to finish the human reaper.
-The biotic field is awful for vanguards. Since I need to stay in the field I can’t charge from enemy to enemy like I normally do.
Thank goodness for assault rifle training.
-Is this mission always so buggy? Now I’ve lost the ability to target husks for charges.
-Aaand now that I’m on the moving platforms I can’t charge targets on platforms that have docked but are higher/lower.
This is getting ridiculous. I charged up/down repeatedly while closing the valves.
-And now Shepard can’t turn left/right??? What is going on?
-So it takes an absurd amount of species to create a single Reaper.
Are harvests ever prolonged so the species can continue procreating so there are enough of them to finish a Reaper?
At least that would explain why the Reapers don’t just throw asteroids into heavily populated planets to make the harvests easier. Can’t waste too many organics before the new Reaper has been created.
-Why does Edi assume that the Reapers turned the Protheans into Collectors because the Protheans could not be used to create a Reaper?
There’s no reason the Reapers couldn’t do both. First use the Protheans to create a new Reaper, then use the remaining surplus to create the Collectors.
-Somehow I missed both shots at the human Reaper with the Cain, so I’ll be doing this the hard way.
-Shepard to TIM: Some of them gave their lives for this mission.
No, they did not.
How hard would it have been for Bioware to tweak the script to account for no one dying?
-Shepard accuses TIM of wanting to grow their own Reaper next.
That would actually have been an interesting twist for ME3. TIM thinks he’s growing a Reaper that will serve him; that Reaper fully intends to join the rest.
You face him as the end game boss. If your reputation is high enough, you can talk him into suicide. If not, he willingly steps into a pod and melts into it. Then you have to face the full grown Reaper he grew. Somehow that leads to the endings.
It’d mirror the end of ME1.
(Look, TIM growing a Reaper is less absurd than TIM somehow managing to override the indoctrination of Reaper troops, okay?)
-I thought one companion always argues to keep the base and one to destroy it, but Kasumi never argued to keep the base. Maybe that’s because Miranda was telling TIM to fuck off?
-Why is it Joker that comes out to defend the ship?
I know that practically speaking it’s because Joker is the only Bioware can be certain will be alive and not with Shepard, but realistically he’s one of the worst choices. We still need him to get us out of here and he can’t do that with broken arms from recoil.
Would it have been that hard to model one of the others?
-And TIM’s real motivations come out. He wanted to use the base’s technology to establish human (Cerberus) dominance. Saving the colonists was just a nice bonus.
-Shepard specifically says that Harbringer is coming.
ME2 spends the entire game building a personal enmity between Shepard and Harbringer, so of course ME3 throws that out and does nothing with it. I’ve lost track of how many hooks ME2 provided that ME3 discarded.
-If you go paragon, you can tell Joker to lose TIM’s channel.
Is this supposed to be a callback to Shepard hanging up on the Council throughout ME1?
Normandy:
-Kelly tells me I have a new message, but I do not.
-Kelly is also deeply traumatized and in denial.
Kelly: Back to the old Kelly
Girl, you’re supposed to be a psychologist. You should know that’s not happening. Start researching PTSD coping mechanisms and schedule sessions with the crew.
-It’s rather amusing that Jacob notes that Cerberus is your enemy now while he’s still displaying the Cerberus logo on his armor.
Jacob, just take a sharpie and scribble it out. No need to throw away a perfectly good set of armor.
-The cargo bay has been miraculously repaired already.
-Everyone comments on the base’s destruction, except Jack who still has nothing to say to me.
Her turn around in ME3 is very impressive. I wonder how many players were turned off by her in ME2 and only started to like her then?
-Well, neither Zaed nor Kasumi comment either but that’s more to do with them being DLC characters and not following the same dialogue patterns as the others.
-Zaed is quite complimentary of Joker. He says he performed very well.
I assume this line is supposed to play after the crew is kidnapped.
-Miranda still sounds like she’s convincing herself that destroying the base was the right choice even though TIM wanted it intact.
I think she’s in shock from realizing the full implications of quitting Cerberus. She’s spent her entire life with them; now she can’t go back and will need to rebuild her life from scratch.
And she knows how dangerous Cerberus is. They’ll come after her.
So even though it was the right choice, it’s understandable she needs some time to process. She changed her entire life’s trajectory in a snap moment decision.
-Legion says that platforms normally host a max of 100 programs. He consists of over one thousand.
Why aren’t there more platforms like Legion?
He says that mobile platforms always operate in networks, but there’s no reason that network can’t be within one platform. He’s a network.
The geth must see the value in one platform being able to travel freely on its own and not losing intelligence if other platforms are destroyed. There are millions if not billions of geth; they’re not held back by numbers.
So why not more independent platforms?
I feel like there’s potentially more here about geth psychology. They’re reluctant to be alone, even in platforms. They don’t need multiple platforms. They want multiple platforms. Even if platforms aren’t really geth – geth are the programs inside them – they prefer being together to being alone.
-An individual geth is about a VI. It’s only when there are multiple programs that they form a gestalt intelligence.
-Edi says that Legion contacted a minds the size of a galactic arm.
I wish ME3 had done more with this. The potential intelligence of the geth on that scale is fascinating. It could have been a huge asset to the war effort – not as bodies on the field, but in directing the war effort or R&D.
So of course ME3 ignored it completely.
-Legion asks Edi how she manages being alone.
I think the geth fundamentally struggle with understanding organics as individuals the same way I struggle with understanding how numerous programs form a single intelligence. They understand the concept, but not how it actually works.
That’s probably one of their biggest hurdles in understanding organic behavior and motivations. They just don’t get what individuality.
-In the log Legion shares, the platform refers to itself as a unit. The quarian refers to it by number.
That’s a high level of depersonalization. Humans will quickly name anything they interact with regularly and begin anthropomorphizing it.
If humans interacted with geth, they’d give then a name ASAP and begin attributing personality traits to them – hell, that’s exactly what Shepard did!
(That should have been a clue. If the quarians had referred to platforms by name, Legion would have understood what Shepard was doing when he asked him for his name.)
Obviously quarians are another species, but they love machines. They include their ships in their names! So I think the unit being referred to as number was a deliberate effort by the quarian to not grow attached to the geth and not see them as more than things.
But why?
Legion says this was not the first time that a unit had asked a quarian if they had a soul, but the first time a quarian was afraid of the question. Were the quarians already starting to recognize that the geth were sapient and desperately in denial? Was there a push to treat the geth as mere machines in hopes that would prevent them from becoming more? They knew they were brushing the line of AI, even if they were careful to never intentionally cross it.
Also, in Legion’s loyalty mission he’s adamant against the geth being anthromorphized. I’m curious how this ties into the quarians refusing to treat the geth such. After all, the unit wanted to know if it had a soul like the quarians revered so highly – what is that, if not wanting the quarians to see the geth as like them?
(The geth don’t want Shepard to anthropomorphize them. They want the quarians to do so.)
Post Suicide Mission
And that is Mass Effect 2 done!
Except, not quite. I still have to do the Firewalker DLC to unlock the rest of Legion’s conversations, and then finish up with Arrival.
So while I really want to move on to ME3, there’s a bit more to go.
At least I have my Insanity II trophy. It was hard at the start, but got much easier as the game went along… At least, when Charge worked. Here’s to hoping it’s more reliable in ME3.

Having gone through every unit and EGO's T4 that I could, this is what I've gathered:
Uptie 4 doesn't seem to be an across-the-board gamechanger, so if you were worried about needing to get there before, you can worry less about it now. Some IDs and EGOs won out more than others. Weaker units typically got better buffs than better units, but nothing immediately seems like it'll shake up the status quo. Only notable exception is W Don, who got a good buff despite being good already.
Liu probably got the best teamplay buff, gaining bonuses against enemies with Burn. Rosespanner got a similar set of buffs with Tremor, but theirs aren't as standardized.
N Corp teams got better. Some N Corp units got buffs based on you having other N Corp units on the field. N Sinclair, for example, gives N Corp units an attack buff when there's at least 4 other N Corp units in play. Most of N Corp can inflict Nails more effectively now, with some gaining further bonuses against enemies with decent stacks of Nails. (Related: Hex Nail can inflict Nails at T4. In retrospect, this should have been an obvious addition.)
If the unit had Poise/Charge, it probably gets more Poise/Charge more consistently now. They probably also got some kind of buff from having a large stack of Poise/Charge as well, if they didn't before. This includes W Don, who benefits from keeping charge now on top of being able to Rip Space.
Tanks get their Aggro values at T4. Special mention to Sloshing Ishmael for her Clash Lose mechanics that pair with a "failed to deal damage" mechanic. She can now fail upwards.
Zwei still doesn't seem great. Zwei Sinclair gets more Protection to throw around, but Rodya seems like she still needs time to get her Shield up unless you're running Poise gifts in the Mirror Dungeon. Better than before, but before wasn't good.
While the rest of R Corp got solid buffs (especially Ishmael, whose kit greatly improved), Rabbit Heathcliff got absolutely memed on. For 50 Egoshards and 150 thread, his evade gives charge and he can have 3 more bullets.
Shi Heathcliff's buff was quite nice, bringing him more in line with Shi Ishmael with Poise gain and his bonuses activating at 50% HP but also making him the second unit in the game with a built-in AoE (albeit only 2 slots and requiring him to be at 50% HP or less)
T4 for EGOs is typically good. "Good" doesn't necessarily equate to "Worthwhile" for some of these though.
For EGOs that aren't base: if it wasn't AoE before, it's probably AoE now. If it was AoE before, it's probably more AoE now. That makes up the majority of what's different besides buff/debuff number tweaks and Heads/Tails Hits just being On Hit.
It feels like some of base EGOs got done dirty. Faust's gives a whopping 2 extra SP per target. Ishmael's bursts tremor with no other changes. Not exactly worthwhile upgrades in my eyes.
For examples of good T4 bases, Meursault's lowers his self-debuffs, Heathcliff gives himself more attack power after combat and Ryoshu can inflict a second Fragile next turn on Heads Hit.
Egos don't feel like they have any special "must do" T4s, but Ardor Blossom Star, Sunshower (Yi Sang), Dimension Shredder (Hong Lu) and maybe Lifetime Stew (Sinclair) would be good picks to look at. If I had to recommend potential IDs for Uptie 4:
Yi Sang - Seven, Blade Lineage None of his are particularly great, but these two get the better buffs.
Faust - N Corp, W Corp
Don - W Corp, Cinq, Shi
Ryoshu - Kurokumo, Base
Meursault - Any but Base Rosespanner gets a special mention for its buffs vs enemies with Tremor.
Hong Lu - Any but Kurokumo or Base They're all good, but those two just don't feel like significant enough changes to me
Heathcliff - Any but Rabbit I'm not sure how N Corp's "+1 final power on ally death while 3 other living teammates are from N Corp" buff works exactly. If it persists and stacks, it might be worth it for larger teams. Otherwise, no.
Ishmael - Any but Base or Sloshing (unless you have a larger brain than I do, which is likely). LCCB is effectively an off tank.
Rodion - Rosespanner, N Corp, Kurokumo, Base
Sinclair - Blade Lineage, Mariachi, N Corp (if you run N Corp teams), Base
Outis - Any but Blade Lineage, but even that one's not bad. Seven probably got the best of it.
Gregor - Any, but Chef is only worth it if you have a Speed team with Bind/Bleed. Liu gets special mention for effectively doubling his Burn output on top of Liu's buff vs Burn stacks.

Writeblr Q&A
So, both @palebdot and @dyrewrites were kind enough to tag me, and I finally had a minute to answer this!
1) What motivates you to write?
It's more of a compulsion, really. Things get stuck in my head; characters stroll in and start saying stuff, or going through scenes, and then I get that electric buzz that makes me absolutely have to scramble for either my notebook or my laptop.
2) A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them)
From a recently completed work, the Prairie Weather trilogy, which I want to shop around and see if I can get published traditionally:
Before him gaped the yawning gulf of his own fuckup. It was dizzying. He’d heard of staring into the abyss, and the abyss staring back, but he hadn’t expected it to be quite so mortifying.
I tend to be at least a bit more poetic usually, but this line just kicks so hard.
3) Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them and what are they like?
Right now, probably Isabella from the Hell Saga - she's just so good-natured, down for anything, and fundamentally kind and hopeful. She really goes through the ringer in book 2, which I'm working on now with my coauthor, though. This is another series we're hoping to go trad on, so cross your fingers for this irrepressible, bisexual Latina and Hispanic counsellor with a strong socialist streak!
4) What process of writing do you enjoy the most?
The first draft can be really fun, but there's something to be said for that second-draft, "all the pieces are in place, now I just have to tweak them" experience. Finishing a book is also a hell of a rush. But that real, fixated feeling of being in the thick of it, often while listening to a playlist I've made specially for the project - that's definitely the good stuff, too.
5) What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)
Characters, dialogue, worldbuilding, and description - in no particular order. I'm really good at making up little people, making them friends and lovers, and then putting 'em through the wringer.
6) What is something in the writeblr community is most enjoyable?
The community and enthusiasm are really winning me over, and I've been pleasantly surprised by the relative skill of my friends, too!
7) A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)
My Youtube playlists are absolutely required tools for my writing, a lot of the time. Sometimes I can write without them, but boy do they help. Some of them are also related to my D&D campaigns, but I'd like to think all of them are pretty well-curated.
8) A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)
The Underlighters series' underground city setting is probably one of the coolest things I've ever come up with. I was somewhat inspired by The City of Ember, but that book frustrated me so much that I vowed to write a much better version. Hopefully, I did. I tried to make it reasonably cohesive and somewhat scientifically justifiable.
However, I always tell a story about Underlighters - when I was trying to figure out the pollination situation for crops, I was doing research at about 2 in the morning one day on various pollinators and getting nowhere. Can bees live underground??? Some bees and wasps nest in the dirt, but that's not necessarily helpful. What about solitary bees and pollinators?
Startling my then-boyfriend (now husband) from his game, I threw my arms in the air and yelled, "Fuck it - cave bees!"
And so I decided that underground apiculture was an acceptable solution.
9) What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?
Try some different strategies and don't be afraid to rotate between projects. Try writing in point form, using different software, doing voice dictation - it can take a long time to figure out the exact right hacks to make your story flow.
10) Tag some people whose works you love/have been your biggest supporters:
Well, that's easy!
@pinkchaosart @nattheauthor and the chaps above have been wonderful; also tagging (in no particular order): @ventela1 @omokers @nethilia @whalleyrulz @chicorybones @zillanovikov @sabotabby @nic0thecreat0r @chiefwritesbook @eldritch-selachii @holdmyteaplease @koala2all

2024 Games: Mega Man X6 Tweaks
Tumblr media
After playing X5’s improvement project, I felt it was only fair that I give X6's a go as well. X6 Tweaks is a sort of like a custom tweaks patcher allowing you to alter several elements of the game to your liking, including how the characters play, certain specific elements of level design, elements of the game’s presentation and a lot of stuff being tracked under the hood.
Before going into that though I feel I should talk about my opinion on base X6.
I hate it.
I really do not like base X6. I have played a majority of the side scrolling Megaman games, not all of them but most of what could be considered main series games and I genuinely feel X6 is the worst Megaman game, of the one's I've played at least, I've heard many bad things about BN4. But with X6 itself I feel like there were a lot of good ideas and some genuinely fun things to mess around with, but between the massively inconsistent difficulty, poor executions of it's ideas like the Nightmare Effects, bad design decisions with things like the secret boss areas and all armour pieces being required to use an armour again and of course it's infamously bad level design. Any good or sensible idea X6 had, is ultimately either undermined, falls over itself or is lamented for being stuck in this game.
So what exactly does Tweaks do to fix these issues?
In short, quite a lot while also adding a number of miscellaneous additions for fun and QoL, but at the same time, not doing much to fix arguably X6's biggest issue.
With my playthroughs, for the overall important changes, I opted to disable the Nightmare Blindness, leaving the other nightmare effects on. Aside from that, I activated incomplete armours, made it so the Exit Stage button was always available, unlocked aerial moves like double jumps and dash, fixed the translation, added the custom mugshot graphics, and tweaked the damage tables to make a few things more tolerable, like the donuts.
These changes did do a lot to make X6 more tolerable which did allow it's better qualities to shine through. The game is a lot more open with your routing, probably at least in part because every stage needs to be revisited anyway. The armours are fantastic, I'd argue they're some of the best armours X ever got and with the updated script, I can at least appreciate what the story was attempting. The script does even have some stuff that is genuinely interesting or funny.
Tumblr media
Nightmare Zero actually has lines that read like he is Wily, I genuinely did not know that til now.
Tumblr media
MF actually pulled the "I got better" card, cannot believe this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zero canonically hates puzzle games lol
They even added unique dialogue for Zero in the intro stage and against Nightmare Zero should you use the cheat to unlock him from the start which is a fantastic touch.
Some other fun additions include letting you change the Ultimate Armour’s palette to any of the three from the PS1 Trilogy as well as a fixed version of the X6 colours to match the portrait and a colour palette for the Legacy Collection Ultimate Armour which I think was updated to make it look better.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, at it's core the game us still X6 and it's main issue, the level design is still very much a problem. Scaravich is still a random layout , leaving the armour, boss portal and heart tank up to RNG. Mijinion still has his really annoying secret area, and his main area still throws literally everything at you, and of course, Heatnix is still just donuts. Would you believe me if I said someone actually told me they thought this was not only fun, but better than an actual level? Course the Gate stages are still just as bad too, but hey you can actually beat them without parts now. Bringing Shadow Armour to Gate is actually a reasonable idea now, as one of the few changes the hack does make to level design is adding a platform to the infamous jump. An air dash for No Armour and Shadow Armour is also available.
Sadly, like X5 Improvement, the hack ultimately does very little to fix the overall level design and the more problematic sections. But to be clear, I can't really blame the hack creators for that as the only real solution would be to just completely scrap the existing levels and completely redesign them from scratch, something well beyond the scope of a rom patch. So overall while it is an improvement over X6, I'd really only recommend it to someone who's familiar with X6, the bullshit it throws at you and the ways you can cheese it.
I'd say it helps the stromg qualities of X6 stand out enough to get B tier, but a pretty low B if I'm honest

Ooh, I'm pretty curious about your AU, I have a bunch of questions (if you don't mind answering. I just really love to hear ideas from AUs in general lol):
1-Will it be a comic, a fanfic, a fanfic with images to show important moments or just a concept in general?
2-Do the other kwamis simply DON'T EXIST in this AU, or did you choose only to not include them (so like, they DO exist in your world, but simply won't be shown)?
3-Will the sentimonster plot still happen? Will you put Félix (AND Argos) in your AU?
4- Do you plan to redesign all secondary characters? (Like the miracuclass, Félix, Nathalie, the major etc etc)
5-Will you change the miraculous powers? (Specially fluffy's, since he/they seem to be one of the kwamis in your au. Will they still have time travel powers?)
6-Are the characters you already redesign the ones who will be the other miraculous holders or will this be a spoiler? (So I'm guessing like, maybe Chloe gets the bunny and Sabrina the bee since that would make Sabrina the queen instead of Chloe lol- I didn't really get from your first post if you said that the AU would have kwami swaps, maybe I understood it wrong)
FIRST OF ALL THANK YOU FOR ASKING THESE ARE ALL GREAT QUESTIONS
1. Right now Im going to focus on posting lore snippets, some important lore changes, concept arts and doodles and possibly rants on miraculous' bad writing, but I am planning to make it a comic eventually!
2. They do exist.. or at least they did (I'm still writing that part). Fluffy is a prime example that other wonders (miraculouses) do exist, but outside of the kwamis in the lineup, they won't appear or be used.
3. Nope! There's a massive block that prevents the sentimonster plot for happening which I will mention in question 4. As for Felix and Argos, they're not happening either. I was actually thinking of removing Felix completely because I want a mostly straight-forward plot. Besides, I doubt MnP!Gabriel would allow any of his possible accomplices to bear an actual Wonder due to risks that could come If the person was to betray them or ESPECIALLY allow hormone pumped teenagers to fight by his side long-term
4. I have a few designs in mind, but in miracuclass's case they're not going to be something major unless I have a really good idea for a rewamp. Besides, most of them aren't going to be that important anyway..
5. YES! I already made changes to the Wonders of butterfly, peacock, rabbit and slight tweaks to turtle.
Butterfly - as we know from canon, akumas serve a purpose to create faithful followers. I went along with that sentence and I decided that the wonder allows the user to SHARE their power with a person of choosing (the strong emotion requirement is still there). With that, It puts a limit on Monarch's (Hawk Moth) power as he can't send more than 5 akumas without feeling the effects on his body. Due to lack of power provided by the Wonder, the artifact just drains the user themselves to gather an efficient amount to share. I hope It makes sense the same way as it does in my head..
Peacock - While butterfly's Wonder has an extremely close relation to Ladybug (creation) and it COULD make sense, I never really felt the sentimonster power have the same engagement. To me, It feels like a plot device ESPECIALLY WITH LIVING SENTIMONSTERS. Idk. I gave it a minor purpose - to disguise/confuse. It might still change over time but currently, the power allows the user to "hypnotise" their person of choice. The idea mostly came from the feathers and eye-like elements on peacocks, distracting you with their beauty.
Turtle doesn't change much. I just figured the creation of the shield doesn't have to be JUST round so the turtle user can create a wall made out of the green hexagons. It could be useful in other situations like maybe using it as a platform or a bridge! I doubt Its canon, but If it is I guess no changes then
Most important point though - NO TIME TRAVEL. Yes, the rabbit wonder doesn't have time travelling powers and instead has ones resembling the horse's miraculous. It can jump into "the burrow" and jump out on the other side. Time travel is a plot device anyway, all my homies hate time travel (toh is the ONLY exception)
6. It's not a miraculous swap AU, no. Most of the holders will be aligned with the show, although there will be a difference here and there
Thank you again for asking!! Im glad the designs were interesting enough to get your attention

Status update
All your messages of support mean so much to me, thank you! I definitely feel better, I cleaned out my dash a bit and am a bit more relaxed. I see more clearly now that I still have an important role to play and a place in this community! 🥰
I am still not quite ready to go back into creating Sims stuff though, as Anno 1800 has sucked me in a bit at the moment. That game is a serious commitment time-wise, and I am also making my own mods and tweaking the mods of others to create the perfect experience for me personally. In case you are interested to learn more about my Anno experience, you can read more under the cut!
I play a multiplayer map with my boyfriend, or let's say I show him what I have built and he dabbles for a couple of hours too every now and then 😆 I enjoy the optimization/logic aspect of the game. At the moment, I really like games that pick my brain/give me a challenge in that regard, and I think that is also why I like modding. It requires abstract/logical thinking and creativity at the same time. Anno 1800 is a city builder/production strategy game and is mainly about fostering a happy population in a flourishing city. There are different population tiers, such as farmes, workers, artisans, etc. that have different needs that you need to fulfill in order to get to the next one, and they also want luxury goods that improve their happiness. You have to produce these goods and build farms, factories, and public buildings to provide the population with these items. You start out with a small settlement and end up with a huge metropolis. I am about 100 hours into the save and have never advanced this far in Anno 1800 before. Things get more complex the further you go, and you have to establish settlements in different regions and create trading routes to ship goods around to make sure all production lines run flawlessly and your population receives the goods they need.
I also enjoy beauty-building (to some degree at least) and try to make my cities look interesting instead of just boringly uniform. Because I play with a lot of mods, this is easier to accomplish than in a vanilla game, where beauty building and maintaining a good economy at the same time is more challenging. I play Anno 1800 to relax and have fun, not to try to reach record numbers of inhabitants (which is impressive in its own right, but I'm more the casual play type).
Here are a few screenshots of my City Bergblick (Mountain View). These are best viewed at full scale because you can't really see details on the small tumblr dashboard-sized pics.

View from the harbor. This is the hugest island in the game! In case you are wondering, the reason why do not make (tuning) mods for Sims 3 is that I lack the gameplay experience/knowledge of intricate game mechanics. Only while playing do you notice things that you wish were different, and you get an idea of how they could be. I am a bit out of the loop with Sims 3 gameplay, I'm a bit ashamed to say it has been years since I properly played the game, aside from set building, styling my Sim models, and testing CC. In most games I play, I spend more time modding them/installing/tweaking other people's mods/making my own than actually playing. I am truly a tinkerer at heart! I hope I can bring myself to start learning Python one day (and C# would also be good to know as a modder), as I mainly tweak XML files for now, but many games require proper coding knowledge in order to mod them. I tried a few times to learn but I have a hard time understanding some concepts. I feel like it's just a different mode of thinking and to get into that mode and see how everything fits together is the hardest part. I kinda hope I can get my brain ready for it by doing more logical thinking/tinkering with mods! Other games that I am interested in/would love to be able to do more with mod-wise are Subnautica and The Long Dark. Subnautica is probably my all-time favorite game. It is beautiful, and makes you want to explore and find out about that alien planet, but also creates that feeling of terror of the unknown. It touches on emotions in a way that I never experienced in another game. That said, the Sims games are still the best option for expressing creativity! I am also keeping an eye out for Life by You, the modding possibilities seem very enticing. I'm not sure about the graphical style, but I bet they will polish the game a lot before the final release. Also, Custom Content makes such a huge difference, so I'm not too worried about that at this point.

🦈🌻🍬🚦
🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?
Lol, the last time I answered a question like this, I was accused of being racist for saying that Sam Wilson is funny and emotionally stable XD
But as I think about it now, I suppose the real answer is that the toughest characters for me to write are snarky geniuses. The main ones I've had occasion to write would be Sherlock Holmes and Tony Stark. For one thing, they're much more intelligent than I am, so that's hard to write, and also their areas of expertise are very far removed from my own. Then, at least in Tony's case, I always feel the need to reference pop culture in some way - but not the nerdy stuff I would actually know about. Tony's always dropping references to movies I haven't seen or bands I don't listen to or something, so it takes a lot of effort to figure out what to make him say, and both he and Sherlock have this mocking way of talking a lot of the time that doesn't come naturally to me. I don't feel like I've ever really gotten either of their voices quite right.
🌻 How often do you read your own fics?
Less than I used to, I think. These days, I usually only read my own stuff when someone comments, "I love how you did XYZ!" And then I'm like, "Wait, I did XYZ?" and of course I have to go read it to see what they're talking about :P By the way, I'm not counting reading back over earlier portions of whatever WIP I'm in the middle of. That's just part of the writing process.
🍬 Do you write for multiple fandoms? If yes, what is your favorite fic of yours for each fandom?
From my FFNet profile:
Tumblr media
So yes, I would say so XD
I only have one fic apiece for Wolf's Rain, Castle in the Sky, Death Note, Prince of Persia, Oddworld, Lovely Complex, Tsubasa Chronicle, Professor Layton, Supernatural, Star Wars, WordGirl, Daredevil, Avengers, and Dororo, so that goes without saying. Here are the others:
Final Fantasy X - Someday the Dream Will End My novelization of the game. Please note the date this was published and realize I was sixteen the last time I touched this thing ^^' It is very far beneath my current standards, but it's what got me into writing fanfiction in the first place, and it taught me so much about how stories work, how to write novel-length works, and also a lot of my preferences when it comes to writing and posting fanfic, specifically.
Harry Potter - Change I don't actually like any of my HP fics very much, if I'm being honest. I wrote most of them ages and ages ago, so the writing isn't very good, and I don't think I handled the few good ideas I had with the delicacy they required. So I picked this one because I wrote it much later than all the rest, so it's at least fairly competent. It's just a little exploration of a headcanon about how the broken Hogwarts House system could be tweaked to not be quite so divisive and counter-productive.
Full Metal Alchemist - The Ultimate Sacrifice Oh my gosh, I've written so many FMA fics over the years, it's almost impossible to pick x.x Some of them are really old and not very well written, some have really good ideas but my skill at the time is holding them back, some are quite good but...are they my favorite? In the end, I decided to go with this oneshot because it was burning a hole in my brain for years before I finally got it written down, and I think it still holds up okay seven years later. Basically, it's an AU that explores what it would be like if Ed uses his love for Al as the toll to get Al's body back. Super angsty, lots of tears, it's great! :D
ICO - Piaculum My novelization of the game, written after the official one was published in Japan but a good three years before it was ever translated to English, so that's how I justified writing it ^^' I didn't really know what I was doing. Parts of it are still kind of good, and I like how I dealt with certain themes and drew in connections to Shadow of the Colossus. But yeah, if you want a book that contains the story of my favorite game of all time, just go read Castle in the Mist by Miyuki Miyabe instead.
Legend of Zelda - One Hundred Beats A 100 Themes fic centered around the friendship of Link and Navi. I wrote this whole thing during one of the busiest and most exhausting periods of my life, and I'll always be impressed by past-me for doing that. I also really like some of the stories I came up with for it, especially all the AUs. Most importantly of all, brainstorming one chapter led me to the headcanon that healed the pain of what they did (or didn't do) with Navi in the canon, and for that I will always love this fic.
Sherlock - Memento Mori One of my kidlock oneshots, an AU where John and Sherlock met as kids. This one deals with the death of Sherlock's dog Redbeard (needless to say, it's quite different from the canon). Personally, I think this is the best one of my kidlock fics.
Captain America - Make Me Whole Obviously! This is the fic that took over my life and changed me irrevocably. For the first time ever, after so many years of writing just to get the ideas out and because no one else was doing it, this time I had a story where, even if ten other people came out of the woodwork with the exact same concept who were much better writers than me, I wanted to be the one to write it. I really got the sense that God wanted me to write this story, and I've seen the fruit of that over and over again. And, of course, without this fic I wouldn't be writing the mammoth WIP I'm working on now.
🚦What sort of endings do you prefer to write: ambiguous, bad, happily ever after, etc.?
You know, I've always said that bittersweet endings are my favorite. Endings like LotR, where the good guys win and evil is defeated, but not without great cost. But as I think through some of the endings I've been most satisfied about in my own writing, I think I need to fine-tune that. I think my favorite kind of ending is a particular brand of bittersweet, where it's not exactly "the Shire has been saved, but not for me." It's more like "we've been hurt, and we're not okay yet, but I think we will be." To me, that's the most realistic kind of ending you can get, because that's the way our lives are. (Not that I don't appreciate a good, completely happy ending where everybody lives happily ever after!)

Yuri Survives AU
(or at least until I can think of a new name lol)
Decided to make a proper text post exploring my thoughts about Tiger and Bunny 2 + rationale for keeping Yuri alive + tiger and bunny helping him in secret.
Spoilers abound of course!
Basic thoughts about Ep 20/Ep25: What a beautifully devastating episode! I think this ep very clearly, was showing how killing Mr Legend truly affected Yuri. Yuri himself knows rationally that it was out of self defence, but there’s plenty of guilt, so much so that his mind conjures hallucinations of his father to hurl abuse at him and call him a murderer. (Also, him experiencing so much torn up feelings about this death that he creates Lunatic to enact “justice” on others, of course. AKA “I wasn’t wrong back then and I am not wrong now!” is Yuri’s extremely toxic means of justifying his father’s death.)
Anyway, I think Olga, who had been hurling accusations at him, and her death was very much needed for him to clear his head and truly shake up his ideas about “justice”. To quote the Mr Legend vision, which is and always has been Yuri’s guilty conscience tbh, there are so many holes/inconsistencies in his idea of justice by death. In this ep, Yuri’s ideas are fully shaken, and I think he’s very much on the road of accepting the distinction between:
He was not wrong for killing his father
His actions as Lunatic were wrong, and Yuri does feel some sense of remorse for his actions.
I think that second point requires a bit more reinforcement from the show, so that’s what I’ll accept as my fanon. As in, I wish there were more scenes of Yuri poring over his victim’s files, data, evidence etc. Basically stuff that’d tell us that Yuri doesn’t enjoy any of what he did, made sure that the evidence that these were terrible/horrible people was fool proof, and through the death of his mother, realised the futility/cruelty of his “justice”/actions as Lunatic.
This is still very early stages though, and shaky, hence why he still flies over to kill the Mayor despite the character development, I suppose. I’m not a huge fan of the whole “this was my voice afterall”, because it’s vague and I *guess* you could spin it as Yuri realising he doesn’t actually want Lunatic/Vigilante Murderer etc. but eh. Him helping out Tiger and Bunny though, I think makes sense. Lol idk this episode was just whacky. I think I’d have preferred to have Lunatic just silently helping tiger and bunny, none of the mayor stuff etc.
Anyway, I do think Yuri’s suicide makes sense, though probably better with some tweaks to the build up to it, because I see it as: Lunatic’s final act being to purge Lunatic, a criminal.
Again, getting it through to Yuri that death is not the answer to criminals is a tough one, but he’s getting there. It’s an admission that Yuri was indeed, wrong, to have killed criminals as Lunatic, and a true sign of his remorse over the whole thing. For a character to redeem themselves, they need to show remorse/regret over their actions. I think this death would be suited, if they’d led up to it better as opposed to Tiger + Bunny praising him etc. I’d have preferred seeing some insight into Yuri’s thoughts more, rather than the hero’s observations.
ANYWAY. This brings me to why I made my AU (besides yuri being my fave lol)
Getting rejected from the flames of Tartarus (suriving his fire-suicide) is probably another big thing for Yuri, because it’s first hand realising why people like him (criminals/people who have done wrong whom he had killed mercilessly), should not be killed. Who better than Tiger and Bunny to hammer that into his head lol. Also, I think it’s fascinating for both Tiger and Bunny to question the usefulness of yeeting criminals into prison. From this season, some of the incompetencies of the prison system/police were being shown, but not addressed fully psft. Yuri/Lunatic in particular seemed like a rational villain to T&B, and someone who was worth talking out of things. Basically: There’s a whole lot of good Yuri can still do, to try an atone for what he’s done. He can never erase it, that’s true, but living and learning from it is better than whatever miserable existence he once had.
I much prefer the narrative of Yuri surviving his suicide then growing and thriving, rather than never reaching this low-point/realisation NOR completely being killed off. One, it’s very much a confirmation of his remorse for his actions, and Two, a very important tipping point for him to finally put Lunatic to rest and focus on living well+doing good to atone.
Also him having two different scars to signify his character development? Delicious. Anyway that’s my very rambly essay, I hope it makes sense XD

Notes from 19.2.24
I put my morning oatmeal in the cat's water bowl yesterday by mistake. This morning I put the tea bag in my oatmeal bowl instead of its proper mug. I am so out of it. Every now and then I'll delete another app, or log out of another website. It's just bogging me down now. I remember how I felt when I quit my job two years ago. I kept trying different things to pass time/make money, but it all required so much brainpower. And everything in my body said NO to that. I'm just done. Even the feminist websites I read. It's all just stories to get me riled up, to keep me in the game, to keep me engaged in this endless back and forth bickering each other until the end game.
I dreamed of a lot of things. I dreamed of huge swirling energies, or clouds, or water. I'm not even sure. I dreamed of a young man moving to a professional studio to make his music. He would have access to the tools he wanted to make the music sound even better. I dreamed of a couple trying to make their favorite drink in subpar conditions. Tweaking the recipe, trying to get it just right. I dreamed of a woman I worked with in the past, a new age healer, and she was showing me how to process some events, or data, or something. She had a huge log of events that could be computerized and shared and distributed (sort of like this website). At the end of the dream it seemed we were planning some party.
At least I slept well. It was nice after two nights of very little sleep. I'm debating whether I should take my books back to the library. I sort of abandoned my discords and my other blog. I don't know that I even care about deleting them, just ... not sure they are relevant anymore. Everything I do is just a way to pass time. A distraction. Nothing about this seems like what I really want to do. Nothing here is for me. Maybe it could have been, but I've seen too much. My digestion is still bad. I'm tired, tired, tired of it.
Food, and drink, and playing with my cat, and joking with my husband, these are my days. And this blog, although I feel I'm typing through a thick fog right now. Breathe through it...

I think I need a break from TF2
I got so unreasonably angry at an enemy medic using the Vaccinator that I made homophobic remarks and almost got kicked off Uncletopia. I apologized once I figured out it wasn't that particular medic but their other one, but honestly I'm just so fucking tired.
It's not even that the vax is the most OP weapon in the entire game, it's that Medic's balance as a whole is complete and utter bullshit. He's a class that nobody who knows what they're doing wants to play, and the people who do play him either are too new to realize how unfun he is or are in a group and don't give a fuck about the other team having fun at all. It's just a clusterfuck of the problems of the game as a whole; matchmaking needs tweaking to break team stacks, some weapons are in dire need of rebalances, both nerfs and buffs alike, and for the love of god an actual tutorial would be a godsend. These poor baby engies have no idea what they're doing and I just die a little inside every time one of them sets up on last during setup.
But again the biggest problem I have right now is with Medic. He's a chore more than actual fun to play. His playstyle is so stale that I'd honestly argue that Heavy has more variety, and I can prove it. With Heavy you can play as: Default Heavy Fat Scout Boxer Heavy Hoovy All varying means of dealing damage, if that's your objective, and all have varying skill floors. Medic you have: The Meta The "My team is bad so I need to run the Blutsauger and Quick-Fix" Meta And that's pretty much it if you're solo queueing, but if you're with friends then there's: Pocket Medic/Medic Girlfriend
Really it all just boils down to "stand behind someone while clicking on them and right click when you're in danger" and that's it. How engaging. Oh and be sure to turn around because nobody else will because why would you ever spycheck when you can do literally anything else.
The absolute worst part is that I've played Overwatch, and while TF2 blows it out of the water in so many ways, this is one area where I honestly think it's vastly superior. You have a choice of a dozen support characters who play and feel so unique to one another that I'm honestly itching to go back simply because I like the variety of their support characters. Ana is not Moira who is not Brigitte who is not Mercy, but that's actually one of the best parts of the game! Every character has their own playstyle and it's all great and unique and fun! Saving my teammates from certain death because I threw Baptiste's Immortality Field at the last second is really, really satisfying! Going on a massive killing spree as Moira and jumping out of existence is exhilarating! Wall riding as Lucio, shield bashing as Brigitte, heal sniping as Ana, it's all so varied and fun! You hear that, Valve?! Healing can be fun!
Meanwhile in TF2 we have the Medic. Sure Engineer is there, and Heavy can throw a sandwich, but it all pales in comparison to Medic. The class nobody wants to play until you're forced to. The class that decides games, but you need to sacrifice your own sense of fun by doing so. And sure clutch crossbow bolts are satisfying and require skill, but there goes one out of your two weapons that are supposed to be good for short range self defense, which I'm not even going to blame you for because the Syringe Guns are just so heinously bad at what they do that they're a fucking joke.
I know they need to be bad, but Jesus fuck at least make them good at their intended job. Passive reload would be all that's needed. Just that. Let me stay alive without needing to rely on my dipshit teammates who are too stupid to know the difference between their ass and a hole in the ground.
And before I forget, I recall from a Shounic video something that just irritates me to no end. Apparently either during development of TFC or TF2, they were thinking of implementing destructible environments, which Demoman could break to enter certain areas of the enemy base, but scrapped it because they didn't want to force people to switch to Demo just to access that area and switch back to whatever they wanted to play. But they didn't consider that when they designed Medic? The class nobody wants to play but someone fucking caves in to play because you're getting absolutely fucked over by the enemy team who knows what they're doing while everyone on your end is a fucking gibbous vision who's A posing staring at the wall? Well fuck me then.
I'm just so tired. I see nothing but new players playing Medic and I change to help but they change the second I do. I want to have fun but I can't with how dull and repetitive his gameplay is and of course, if I don't play Medic, nobody who knows what they're doing will. I understand why people like the Vaccinator. Sure it's just one more button but at least it's something different from "stand behind person while clicking on them". I swear Medic needs just something new. Idk if it's just the game's age coming through or what, but Medic just needs something. I don't know what that would be. New unlocks? Reworking existing weapons? Both? Neither? I have no clue.
What I do know is that for the first time in the 3 years I've been playing I've uninstalled the game. I just need a break.

Some angsty Shinjuro thoughts
We can only guess how many years it's been since Ruka died based on how old we interpret Kyojuro & Senjuro to be in flashback art (and for that matter we don’t know how old Senjuro is, my best guess is 12 due to his grade level in Kimetsu Academy). We also don't know how dramatic or gradual Shinjuro's decline was, as he was still an active Pillar for many years following Ruka's death.
However, we do know that it has been about eight years since Himejima became a Pillar at age 19 (after having gone through his life changing events at age 18). That would have made him Shinjuro's junior by far in terms of demon fighting experience, but it would had been hard to ignore how fast this formerly skinny kid climbed the ranks due to his absurd strength and keen intuition. In other words, Shinjuro would had been forced to face how unfairly talented this colleague was. Even if he tried to be positive about it, that might had nagged him worse and worse over the years. Other Pillars like Uzui and Kanae clearly blew past that five years it usually takes to become a Pillar, and if we go by the Rengoku Gaiden, even little tiny Shinobu seems to have attained Pillarhood before Shinjuro totally gave up the sword.
Also, it has been roughly nine years since Shinjuro rescued Obanai, which would had required him to travel a long distance by boat (thereby potentially having been away from home for a long time). Based on the fact that he was wearing his haori, we can infer Ruka died while he was away on a mission, so... so, you know, ma-a-a-aybe... ----- EDIT: This posts calls for some tweaking: 1. Shinjuro wasn't necessarily on a mission when Ruka died (I assumed that due to his wearing of the haori and uniform, so I still find it likely), but he told Tanjiro he was already in mental anguish over his own (perceived) incompetence when his beloved wife died, and then he took to the bottle. It's just my assumption (and I am but one fallible nerd on the internet), but I think that Ruka saw him already teetering on the edge of a steep mental slope, and that might have been part of what made her feel she needed to set Kyojuro straight about his priorities (to keep him focused on the substance, saving people, as opposed to the form, swordsmanship). 2. If Obanai was "about 12" (his words) when he met the Snake Demon and was presumably rescued not long after, then Kyojuro would had been about 11, and as @teamfreewill56-blog aptly pointed out, his probably would had been a lot bigger than the age we see in in his flashback with Ruka (though again, we have no record of how old he was in that flashback). If a lot of characters went to the Final Selection around 11~13, then he's probably had a good chunk of time between Ruka's passing and his entering the Corp. So that means Obanai doesn't have to feel bad about his rescuer's wife dying while he was being rescued. Yay, good for Obanai...? Still, it goes to show that Shinjuro fought his own inner darkness for a super long time while stubbornly going on and on to fight on Pillar-level missions. That makes it all the more intriguing to wonder if Shinjuro and shrimpy little Obanai had that boat trip back to the main land together, and if so, how that conversation might had gone which set Obanai on his demon slaying course.
After all, Shinjuro wouldn't had encouraged toward it. The kid was tiny and frail, he'd just die in the Corp. There's no telling how sympathetic or abrasive Shinjuro would had been to this tiny, orphaned victim back them, he could had taken any tone from the reasonable he uses in his letter to Tanjiro to the tone he takes with Senjuro after Kyojuro's funeral. But Obanai? After everything he's just been though, he's got a big dose of self-hatred which has developed (or at least dramatically worsened) overnight, he is no longer capable of living a normal life, and starts to focus all his hatred on demons, only years later feeling a smidge of possibly being a "good person" when he's appreciated for putting his life on the line to save others, but even then being unconvinced on himself having any goodness due to the blood in his veins and on his hands. So, as a child, how did he see Shinjuro? Did he relate to him in his self-loathing? Did he idolize Shinjuro at all for being someone who is actually a good presence in the world? Was he too consumed with everything he had been through to care one way or another about Shinjuro's feelings and spitefully made up his mind to spend the rest of his worthless life slaying demons? Dear universe, please give us more Gaiden and light novels. Sincerely, me, a hopeless fangirl.

Birthday
Pairings: The Avengers x  reader
Summary:
It’s your birthday and the team gets creative on how to surprise you, putting their acting skills to the test.
Word count: 2,350
A/n: just a little something because,, well,, it’s my birthday *runs away* also it’s cheesy, hopefully it makes sense lmao
Warnings: uhhh brief mention of explosion? mostly fluff
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Avengers wanted to get creative for your birthday this year. For the few years they've known you they picked up on things about you. One, you paid no mind to your birthday at all and just considered it a normal day like the rest of the 365, Tony took note that you hated parties, at least the really big ones, something that involved only the team would be good.
Okay, you sound like a party pooper, but that isn't the case; it's not a crime to just... not want to have a grand celebration, right? And people singing the 'happy birthday' song to you too while you just sit there in silence. It's awkward, you once told Natasha. It’s also awkward and hard for you to receive presents even though that’s what birthdays are all about, you’re still getting used to it since you knew someone like Tony Stark.
Well, the team think you're an amazing friend and they all treat you like family. They're so glad they met someone like you.
You're immediately called to the conference room on that day. Only to find the team arguing and pointing fingers at one another.
You kinda just slot in, sitting on the chair you usually sit on whenever there's a meeting or mission briefing. Glancing around, you try and find out what they're fighting about.
Security. Suits. Brief mention of Ultron. Rhodey busying himself with phones, probably making a lot of calls. Natasha and Clint talking among themselves, only raising their voice whenever they're included in the conversation which mainly consisted of Tony and Steve arguing.
"Suit up, get the jet ready." Steve dismisses but before he could walk out himself you raise your hand.
"Hey, sorry, I just woke up," you say sheepishly but coolly at the same time. "What happened, is everyone supposed to go? Can I read the file?" Because if this is an Avengers-level threat that required everyone, you'd want to know all about it.
His sharp and expression softens slightly when he looks at you. "No file, I'm afraid. Some of the compound's security protocols have been compromised, someone hacked in." He proceeds to tell you how they particularly had interest in Bruce and Tony's lab so the other rooms were untouched.
Apparently, they took blueprints and materials, maybe a handful of Tony's suits.
But if you think about it, those two carelessly letting the security to their lab loose? Highly unlikely...
You push the thought to the back of your mind and nod when Steve tells you to get ready. Stark tech can be dangerous in the wrong hands, after all. Let alone the Iron Man suits.
Fortunately, those things have trackers. Leaving you to wonder again why those idiots don't even try and take them off so they won't tracked?
Sat on the floor of the jet while everyone was strangely quiet but once again you didn't pay any mind, you sharpen a few of your knives. Natasha sat on a stool near you, idly picking her nails. An hour into the flight you furrow your brows and look around.
"Are you guys okay?"
"Yes," Tony states quickly and a matter-of-factly. They all share glances before he continued. "It's the tension. Sorry. My fault."
"It's not your fault, Tony," Bruce starts.
"I'm sorry, to whom were those stolen suits again?" Steve speaks up as well and you could tell it's gonna be a full blown argument again.
"Now hold on just a second-" Tony faces the super soldier to counter.
You merely blink, not expecting a simple question to turn out like this. Clint just glances from the pilot's seat and Natasha almost cracks a smile by the look of your face. If only you knew it was all fake, all planned. But what does she know? You're a spy too, maybe you've figured out what they're up to and decided to play along.
Sad to say you're still oblivious. Maybe the fact that you only slept three hours last night is one case. You wanted nothing more than your bed right now.
Heck, not one of them wished you a happy birthday but you didn't notice at all.
Tuning out their bickering you sit down next to Natasha who's the only one not in the argument.
"I haven't seen Wanda all day," you say and she turns her head to face you. "Or Sam, or Bucky."
"Probably not back from their mission." Natasha answers promptly.
You frown at that. "Steve made this sound like an Avengers-level threat, and it is, shouldn't they be here?"
You don't wait for a response, opening up a globe-shaped hologram that shows where the jet, represented by a blinking dot. Your eyes slightly widen when you see the target location which is one of the places you've been dying to visit your whole life.
Maybe it's just a coincidence. You definitely didn't expect to visit it for the first time on a mission though.
Natasha clears her throat. "Hey, have you read the book I gave you?" She subtly closes the globe up when she catches your attention.
You shake your head bashfully. "You know I'm a slow reader. Give me two months then I'll come back to you." You laugh. Natasha smiles and tells you to take your time. "Have you read the book I gave you?"
"I loved it."
"I knew you would!" You say excitedly and the next few moments you discuss about the specific book. She's just glad you didn't ask any further questions about the location.
--
All of you split up once you reach the base but Rhodey and Bruce stay in the jet as backup. The place reminded you so much of the old Avengers tower, only with darker themes. You're paired with Clint who you follow to the side of the building, with surprisingly no cautiousness. He just... ran in, entrance deserted of guards.
You all had a digital, tech checklist to see what was stolen including all the suit names. So far you've searched two drawers now and still no sign of any agent or guard. But it's weird since the others are clearly doing their part on their floors. Thuds, footsteps and sometimes banging sounds could be heard all around.
“Finally," you mutter when you hear footsteps behind you, spinning around so suddenly to surprise your enemy and take him down with ease. You raise an eyebrow when they don't put up a fight at all.
Clint was in front of a computer when you peek in to one of the rooms but he waves you off. "I'll meet you on the next floor. This'll take a second."
"One suit on the roof!" you hear Steve grunt through your earpiece.
"Remember to remove the arc reactor, that'll shut them down for sure." Bruce reminds through everyone's comms.
You hear Tony let out a noise. "Might have a problem with that, Banner, they're all reprogrammed."
Expecting the man with seven Ph. D's to worry, it only took him a minute to respond back. "It's your tech. I don't believe they could do that completely especially having them for only twelve hours."
"In that case," Tony sighs. "There should be a kill switch under one of their reactors."
"Which one?" Natasha grunts.
The deafening silence from Tony's line explains it.
You fight your way though the thugs which again, don't put up a fight. Sometimes you throw one punch and they're out cold, leading you to believe the intense training Bucky insisted you do worked. The only tough ones were the Iron Man suits themselves.
Ripping out the arc reactors wasn't easy. You had to use all you force. On the second one you encounter it got the upper hand and blasts you through a wall, the impact sending sharp pain to your head and back.
You hear metal thumping of a suit so you get back up and attempt to get your hands on the Iron Man in front of you.
"Hey, hey. Same team. Look," Tony grips on your wrists and lifts his mask up. "You alright?"
“Yeah," you pant, relaxing a bit. "Yeah. One of them got m-"
"We just discovered a bomb, northwest," Clint says. By ‘we’ he means him and Natasha. The redhead speaks right after. “Two and a half minutes. How many suits left, Friday?”
"Only one more suit is fully functional."
You get out of Tony's hold and sprint up the stairs. "I got it."
He smiles to himself. The plan is all coming  to place.
As soon as you enter the room you dodge a blast from the much bulkier Mark XVI. Of course they'd want to make the stealth suit more powerful. You launch yourself towards it, stomping on an arm while trying to dodge blasts from the the other one.
"Y/N! Fifty seconds!" Steve shouts in your earpiece.
You could've just jumped out, leaving the compromised suits here to be blown up but being under pressure made you panic and set your only goal to find the switch.
The suit could still set off a blast from the arc reactor so you couldn't really get your hands on it without losing a freaking arm.
"Get out of there!”
But you didn’t have enough time. So you just curl into a ball against the wall, accepting your fate.
A pop did go off. Loud, but you didn't feel yourself torn into pieces right after. You also heard a bunch of aye’s and oh’s. Redwing whirs by to your head to drop off a birthday hat.
"Happy Birthday!”
Your eyes fly open. Turns out the only thing inside Mark XVI was confetti. Natasha walks over to you to inspect and make sure you're alright.
"What the hell?" Your eyes widen at her, then at everyone. Sam and Bucky were now standing with them, smiling at you amused.
"I think she's in shock.”
“You think?”
Steve glares at Tony with a hint of amusement. "I told you it would be too much."
"Trust me she prefers something like this instead of a big party. Don't you, Y/N?"
"What do you mean?" You take off the hat and clutch it between your hands, appreciating Natasha rubbing your back as you try to collect yourself. "How is none of this real?"
"We basically faked a mission for you." Rhodey says.
You look around all the rubble. "This building, the people, suits-"
"Bought the place," Tony states. "Hired stuntmen, did a few tweaks on the suits...”
"God, why would you do that?" You bury your face in your hands, not knowing if you should be laughing or crying. "I punched those guys!"
"They'll be fine, they signed up for it."
You gently get up and brush off some confetti off your knees.
"But back at the compound... you guys were yelling at each other and during the whole thing you all sounded serious," you point out. "Was that all part of the act?"
Especially when that 'bomb' was about to go off. Steve's panicked voice made you scared for your life, only to know that it was all fake.
They all show signs of agreement, laughing.
"We'd make such great actors." Natasha smirks.
"Alright, the cake isn't going to blow itself." Clint walks up to you with said cake and you meet him halfway.
Everyone gathers around and before they could inhale to sing the stupid song, you cut them off. "You all know I hate to be sung at. Can we just get this over with?"
They all burst out laughing, you giggle in the process, blowing out your candle. You all group hug right after. The laughter makes you miss the sound of faint thunder outside.
"Look who's late." Bruce points out.
"Yes, I got here as soon as I can, my apologies." Thor smiles sheepishly.
Your ears perk up at the all too familiar voice of the god of thunder. Moving everyone of the way, you leap to hug him. "Thor!"
"Happy birthday, dearest Y/N." He grins and pats you on the head. "I'm afraid my - I mean - our gift, is with Loki at the moment."
"Enough with the formality, I’m just glad you’re here.”
Peter rings up Tony to tell him everything's set up at the huge building they rented for your low-key party. Just the Avengers. Peter, Vision and Wanda were in charge of setting things up over there, from decorations and food. Sam and Bucky also helped a bit before they arrived at the fake base.
So you all get into the jet again, this time you look at the windows in awe to see what the city's like. You also asked a bunch of questions on how they pulled something stupid but unique fake mission like that.
Once you've reached your destination, the place was simple yet big enough to fit everyone. Tony really took notes for this year. You didn't like anything too fancy or elegant, and you didn't like huge-ass parties with hundreds of people you've never met before.
Here you're with your family eating, drinking booze and playing games, generally having a good time.
You give the other five Avengers big hugs. Vision's never usually a hugger but for you he made an exception just for today. Everyone was surprised when he lifted you off your feet and spun you around.
"Hugging has a lot of good benefits," Vision says when he lets you go. "Astounding, I know. It is recommended eight times a day, hopefully you've already gotten that much."
You giggle at his remark and Wanda rolls her eyes playfully. “Thank you, Vision.”
“Splendid, that means I don’t have to give you one.”
You turn around to see the god of mischief himself carefully hand you a wrapped box. Loki chuckles when you smile at him. “Happiest Birthday.”
“Loki.... you know you and Thor didn’t have to-”
“Thor? That one’s from me. I assure you.”
“Y/N!” You hear Tony call from the other side of the room. “It’s time for presents, little miss. Good lord this looks like Christmas morning.”

unfortunatley i am that extra to post a birthday fic woo hoo
