He's curious about Silver's narcoleptic tendencies, and ends up doing tests on him too to find the rooy cause, so the two of them end up hanging out a lot.

It's the Stix sebek au, because op mentioned he would have blue highlights and I was overcome by inspiration...

It was also passed around that Sebek would manage security so I gave him more of the modern bodyguard attire. It goes well with his overall tone in this au.

He would be the 2nd oldest of the shroud kids, which is also pointed out by his hair being longer than Ortho's, but shorter than Idia's. A fun lil detail :3

Also sum scales on the body here and there. Mostly wears long sleeves(for warmth) so not a lot of people saw them. :3

Infection Au

The results said the audience wants to hear my Infection Au so I shall deliver. (TW for blood, mentions of gore and su1cid3). I based this on the MLP Swamp Fever Au and the general Infection aus <3 Also this au includes a lot of ocs that belong to me and my friends

So the main plot is that a strange fungi was discovered on Sage Island that soon began to make people ill. At first everyone thought that it's just a regular magic fungi, however it quickly turned out to be an incorrect assumption. Those infected with the spores began to develop odd symptoms such as nosebleed, gums bleeding, bloodshot eyes, discoloration of fingers and soon the limbs as it spreads. By the ending stages of the infection, the patient will resemble more like a bleeding and decaying tree. The infection spreads through either bites or the spores of the fungi. Coming in contact with the infected without any safety gloves also results in infection. Those with high magic drive are able to remain sane for longer periods of time than those with lower or no magic drive at all.

It has been 4 weeks since the outbreak started. Idia and Ortho were able to leave Sage Island before STYX put the island on lockdown, sealing the dorm mirrors and the Dark Mirror so nobody can pass through. They're working on a cure. Meanwhile the ones stuck on Sage Island have started to adapt to the current situations, learning through several losses. Trein was one of the first victims of the outbreak, having been killed by the infected while trying to protect his students. Riddle, Vee, Marqu, Ellis, Mary, Fox and Jade have been terminated after they could no longer fight the infection and grew way too hostile. Cater, Dominico and Ace are injured from expeditions and attacks but uninfected. Azul and Leona are still under infection, Azul due to no access to any more human potions has returned to his merform and is now kept in a water tank until further notice. Leona is incredibly hostile and staff decided on termination. Trey, Lilia, Adamaris and Crowley are missing with no trace of where they could be. Malleus is infected but manages to maintain his sanity. Ruggie, Jack, Sebek, Alce, Thea, Allen, Deuce, Augustino, Chenfeng and Vargas are the ones on the expedition team who regularly leave campus (what has been turned into a main camp) to gather supplies, look for survivors, kill the wandering infected and clear areas. There are snipers (Thea and Allen), gatherers (Ruggie, Deuce, Augustino) and those who cover the team incase the infected are nearby (Sebek, Alce, Chenfeng). Jack and Vargas do most of the heavy lifting and Jack pulls the occasional carts with his UM. The ones in charge of terminating those who lose the battle with the infection inside NRC are Spider, Alce and Vargas. Vil is also infected but holds on, Rook wrote himself out of the expedition groups to stay with Vil while Epel along with Silver and Kalim are not allowed to join the expedition groups for their own reasons. Jamil stays with Kalim and Spider in NRC, Alto is in charge of the supplies that the expedition groups successfully gathered, Silver is distraught and anxious because of Lilia's absence which is why Sylas stay with him at all times. Floyd is his own person ever since Jade was put down and staff can't determine how much impact his brother's death had on him. He leaves a lot but never comes back infected. Ami and Crewel are the ones staying in NRC at all times to take care of the few children that were caught in the outbreak such as Karina and Eve. Sam is infected but resides in his shop while holding out.

As the story progresses, multiple of the canons and ocs fall. Cater dies to an infected wound, Leona is terminated, Thea asks to be put down by Sebek, Deuce is terminated by Alce due to the infection, Jamil is killed by the infected, Azul ends his own life by leaving the water tank in his merform, Alto is put down by Idia after infected severely, Vil is put down but he ends up killing Rook and Epel, Lilia is found dead, Spider is killed by the infected, Alce is killed by Allen who was infected, Allen ends his own life after realizing what he had done. Crowley is never found.

The last survivors end up being:

Ace, Trey (he is found), Ruggie, Jack, Floyd, Kalim, Idia, Ortho, Malleus, Silver, Sebek, Crewel, Sam, Vargas, Ami, Karina, Eve, Sylas and a couple more ocs.

It's a lot of angst and I know it's a bit jumbled right now but I'm in the making of the character files and I will post them one by one. If you have questions, you can ask away ^^

Tattoo/Soulmate AU People with magic typically get into tattooing because they have the ability to make soulmate tattoos, but it varies depending on romantic, platonic/queerplatonic, familial feelings or other ones. Trey, Vil and Leona run a shop together, Deuce wants to join, Viz accidentally becomes his adoptive sister it's all fun and relatively low on the angst actually lmao

FNAF AU lmao this one has so much angst but you probably knew that already, inspired more by the pizzaplex/security breach than any other FNAF game, but a lot of the same type of lore

Coraline AU in which Viz gets to be Leona's big (half) sister for once. Falena is the eldest and treated with respect, everyone knows Viz isn't the king's biological daughter but they have to put up with her because the queen does, and Leona was the attempt between the king and queen to fix everything - it didn't work and he feels that. Ends up using an escape to another world to try and avoid that feeling, only to realize something much more sinister on the other side.

Biological Sister AU not super intuitive, seeing as above, Viz is Leona's half sister, but in this au she is also related him, just via the king this time. Don't ask me why I named it this, but it is what it is, she's taken in by the royal family early on and tries to bring it together. Idk it was a fun idea at the time.

Genderbent AU I wanted to explore Vizzie's trauma if she was around a bunch of other girls instead of guys and it goes Poorly but it's fun lmao

DnD AU b/c I've never played DnD and wanted to kinda learn so it's DnD inspired but the rules/roles aren't super strict but the worldbuilding is SO MUCH FUN (there are SO many dynamics all going on at the same time its GREAT)

Medieval Fantasy AU This is moreso my S/O's AU than it is mine but I wanted to talk about it because it also has a lot of fun worldbuilding in it that we did together (like the effects of OB and whatnot in this world)(also heavily inspired by DnD)

Arranged Marriage AU Viz and Riddle both have very overbearing, traditional moms and end up together against each others wills and have to unlearn their distaste for each other before they can start really working together to find ways to make each other happy

Greek God/Epic AU In which Viz takes on the Odyssey with Leona as her guide - he wants to prove himself worthy of the title of a God, and she will do anything to protect her people. It gets Complicated fast. (I actually have art I drew for this au lmao)

Poppy Playtime AU Really fucking depressing tbh, again, upon the perfection of Ortho's robotic aids (he never died, just severely incapacitated), all the other children that were used as test subjects were abandoned as half done projects and experiments that resembled toys

Dance AU I throw a bunch of the characters into dance. Vil, Riddle and Neige are on top but all three of them are having Gender Issues but in Big Denial about it.

Fairy AU My S/O also developed this one initially but I have a few different headcanons from them :D

Book 4

Crowley wore his vacation dip for the whole season.

Kalim stole Grim to pet evilly while looking hypnotized.

Yuu crossed their eyes at Jamil hypnotizing them.

Yuu yelled after being locked in the space bedroom, "I'm going to piss in the corner!" Sadly the line wasn't added to the show.

Kalim spun around for his unique magic and tripped and fell into the oasis.

Jade and Floyd had fun with the fight scene with Scarabia students.

Floyd's deep voice was real, he does voice acting sometimes. The actors' reactions were funny.

Yuu looked at Overblot Jamil and said, "Snek."

Yuu handed Grim to Jamil to throw because he can't actually throw everyone. Threw the plushie at Azul.

Yuu, Kalim and Azul of course weren't riding the eels and just padded props which led Yuu and Kalim acting like cowboys.

Ace tripped and pulled Deuce down with him. They were actually running on sand.

Book 5

Yuu said Rook's album was of his victims and Rook just winked at them.

Ace and Deuce instantly cuddled Grim after Vil left the kitchen.

Even the actor of Kalim said, "this kid needs therapy."

Epel threw Grim at Vil's face, then ran off.

Deuce and Epel had fun yelling random stuff at the ocean.

When Vil asked if Neige is alone, Neige's response was "well, beside the dead body in my room, yes."

Yuu whispered under their breath at seeing Overblot Vil, "I think I'm gay now."

Vil had to walk down the hallway like a runway in overblot form with the group saying "yes queen."

Rook fell off of the magic carpet.

Someone in the staff played a really cool song when Malleus was fixing the stage. The unedited version has their laughers.

Yuu actually teared up at Grim attacking the Mc. Hugged the plushie afterwards.

Book 6

Epel, Ace and Deuce was handed a bowl of popcorn by Sam before the first fight scene with the Charon.

Deuce kept on laughing because of Ace while they were suppose to be pretending to be knocked out.

Riddle accidentally hit someone in the stomach when moving away from Leona. He immediately apologized and felt bad.

Yuu fell off the broom twice.

Grim's voice actor was genuinely upset when Grim wakes up in Land of Grief.

Pretending to be defeated by the Charon, the group were encouraged to fall on the ground dramatically. Yuu and Epel did it perfectly.

Sebek joked about his character making a hole through Lilia's door after Malleus disappears. The director was tempted.

The Styx staff member in the glass coffin made an earth shaking snooze as a joke.

Everyone was excited to see Idia's overblot form since they would see it when their characters see it as a dramatic reveal.

Everyone got scared at the Titans because the staff were playing the Titan sounds behind the camera and the actors got really into their roles. They needed some time after the scene to calm down.

Azul to Riddle before getting on to set. "We match now."

"Congratulations, Ortho, you're now a prana." "Yes!"

Vil felt conflicted at seeing himself as an old man. He hated how he looked but he was impressed by the makeup artists.

"Wait, silver hair and strange eyes? Was Silver in my room?! Did he find my weed?!" -Yuu

Also yeah very minor spoilers for twst up to book 7 since I mention Malleus’s overblot and also Styx stuff.

Starting off

Categorizing Twst characters to fears.

Malleus is pretty obviously attributed to the Lonely. The entire reason he overblotted was over a desire not to be Lonely. Plus he's very isolated in general due to his status, magical ability, and general vibe.

Lilia I think would be an Avatar of the Slaughter. Especially during wartimes. I think in an AU he managed to sever his connection to the entity after he found Silver.

Silver I don't think would follow a particular entity. He just knows about them thanks to Lilia.

Sebek I think would also not follow an entity. Similar to Silver, he just wants to help Malleus escape the Lonely

Idia I'm debating between making an Avatar of the Lonely or the Web. I think Styx as a whole would be an organization following the Web due to their intelligence ties and the ways they can manipulate governments. Idia himself would be closer to the Lonely, sort of falling off the path of the Web after Ortho's death. He still has ties to both.

Ortho would be tied to the Web, being a part of Styx

Rook I think it's pretty obvious he would be an avatar of the Hunt.

Vil I think it would be fascinating if he was tied to the Stranger. It's all about performances and deception, though not in the same way as the Web.

Epel I think would also be tied to the Stranger. I'm really struggling to explain it properly, but he's not really his true self? I guess?

Jamil would be a fascinating avatar of the Web, even if I'm giving way too many characters to it. He's manipulative and his specialty magic allows him to control people's actions. Also he feels like he's trapped, being controlled by Kalim's family. Plus he has a fear of spiders and bugs lol

Kalim I don't think would follow any fear. He's largely unaware of them and I think he would only learn about them because of Jamil.

Azul it's pretty obvious would be a part of the web. He's always part of long term schemes and using those around him to his own benefit. Also his specialty magic traps people in contracts, placing them under his control.

Floyd would be an avatar of the Spiral. He's all about short term deception and would totally gaslight people. Also there's the thing of his mood always changing. He has more chaotic schemes and does things for his amusement more than a long term goal.

Jade would be an avatar of the Eye. He collects and uses people's secrets against them. He's very much the knowledge collector of the group. Not to mention his specialty magic requires someone to look into his eye. Also it allows him to force someone to answer a question of his truthfully.

Leona would be tied to the Desolation. He's already tied to fire at times in the game. Plus his specialty magic allows him to dissolve anything into sand.

Jack I think would be tied to the Hunt. I think it would be more likely for beastmen to be tied to the hunt due to them still having the predator/prey dynamic within their societies.

Ruggie I was debating of being affected by the corruption but ehhh I'm not sure.

Riddle would be an avatar of the Desolation. He's often tied to both fire and destructive anger. He harms others, but it's not as senseless as the Slaughter, he has a sense of righteousness behind it.

Deuce I think would be a recovering avatar of the slaughter kind of like Lilia. He grew up with ties to senseless violence and is now trying to resist the urges to harm others.

Cater would also be an avatar of the Eye but I don't think he would know it. Gossip, knowledge, the gathering of secrets, it all fuels him and he doesn't even know it. He thinks he's just a gossip girly.

Trey would be another fascinating avatar of the stranger. He seems like such a normal, average guy, except there's something oh so subtly off about him.

I don't think Ace would be tied to an entity. I think he would be kind of like Kalim, just a guy until he's dragged into knowing about the mess by some friend.

A couple bonuses:

Chenya would very obviously be tied to the spiral. The Cheshire Cat just screams casual deception and gleeful manipulation. He's a chaotic mess and I love him.

Rollo would be tied to the desolation and would despise it. He wants to completely wipe the others from existence using his cleansing fire.

How Blot Works

Blot is a result of the Corruption. It slowly corrodes a mage’s mind and magic overtime. This fact is largely unknown to the general public.

Styx’s Purpose

While Styx is largely still a blot research facility, that is also a front for other research. They serve the Web and in doing so, gather information about the other entities. The public doesn’t know about the fears and Styx intends to keep it that way. Their research on the Corruption is most well known thanks to blot, but they have even more secret facilities for each fear. Their plans are still largely unknown, but they are keeping a very close eye on Night Raven College due to the large amount of students with a tie to the fears.

Continuing from this post

Regarding @lowkeyclueless5137's reblog: YES. Sebek finds comfort in the Shrouds, especially Idia and Ortho as they're very warm. Sure, Mother and Father Shroud are nice too, but those helmets get in the way...

Eventually though, STYX NEEDS to call the Zigvolt family. Sebek's been staying for over a week already and fully recovered, and the Shroud parents can only imagine how worried Sebek's family might be. They ask him for his last name. They search for anyone with the surname Zigvolt.

At last, they find someone named Baul Zigvolt. But he only has one daughter to his name. A daughter who has recently ran away with her husband and two children after an incident. Her last name has most likely changed, because they cant find a single file on her.

The Shrouds look at Sebek, playing with Ortho and Idia with a huge smile on his face. They look at each other worriedly, but they nod, determined all the same.

That night, the Shrouds welcome another member into their family.

("Woah woah wait, Quincy. What the hell was that!?" Spoilers, I have so much plot in my head right now and everything will make sense sooner or later).

STYX adapts pretty quickly with the new little one running through the halls. They've installed a heating system as well for the young croc, to make sure he's comfortable. STYX is doing well, their research expanding. The Shrouds are happy. Ortho, idia and Sebek all get along.

Then Ortho dies.

And suddenly everything shatters.

All Sebek can remember from the funeral is that it's cold, so cold, and he can't bring himself to ask his parents to hug him for warmth because right now theyre hugging each other and sobbing. Idia does not come out of his room for the next few months, and Sebek is so alone. Just like that same night in the forest.

But one day, Idia does come out of his room. Sebek and his parents beam when they see him out and about. Their smiles fall into a horrifying look when they see the robot trailing behind him. But the Shroud parents only gulp, greeting Idia with tense smiles and asking him who's following him around.

"It's Ortho, obv." Idia just responds, but there's something telling about his dark eyebags and his shuffling feet. Their parents say nothing, only bringing in Idia and..."Ortho" into a hug.

Sebek watches all of this play out.

And somehow, he knows, he did not just lose one brother during that dreadful, horrifying night.

He lost two.

actually appears around nrc like a holographic companion to idia like lyla does!!! its how ignihyde knows who he is. to the rest of nrc though they think sebek genuinely studies here as a random ignihyde student. they havent seen him pop up as a hologram yet

makes fun of idia for anything and everything. loves ortho to BITS

was the one who thought of the whole hologram idea. one: so he could look after idia and ortho more efficiently even though he's not with them physically, and two: match with ortho 🔥🔥🔥robot/hologram brothers 🫶

I have sum new idea upon thee... But it's chap 6 spoilers, so :v

What if, in an attempt to be closer to the Fae nation(and mednd things well in case of an overBlot crisis in the valley of thorns), STIX recruits Sebek before Lilia and Malleus can. So like Sebek trains to be a bodyguard/agent and is absolutely devoted to his cause of protecting. As he gets older, he even helps with training a program to the robo-guards.

And Idia kinda meets and befriends Sebek during all this. Bonus points if Sebek got to also meet the real and alive Ortho before the incident :v

So imagine NRC. First years lining up to be sorted. Lilia hears Sebek speaking his name to the mirror and it's all like 'Huh, that's the guy we wanted to recruit then'. They didn't recruit anyone else then(cuz no one had that spark Sebek had), so it was only Lilia, Malleus and Silver.

Imagine proud lil Sebek dashing through to see Idia and tell him where he ended up. Man had NRC map on him(courtesy of Ortho) so he didn't get lost at all. Idia warns him: Malleus is very powerful and he needs to respect him.

Cue Lilia and Malleus thinking they could still recruit Sebek and train him. Because STIX had the whole NDA thing, Sebek can't tell a soul (besides Idia and Ortho) he has to either accept or find the most wierd and outlandish excuses to not attend, in fear he will send Silver to the hospital in one punch :v

Also Sebek owns firewapons... Just cuz Why not :v

Alright if Sebek saw the real and alive Ortho before the incident then he's gotta be YOUNG young. Alright back from checking the wiki apparently Ortho has remembered memories from 11 years ago which would make him 5. So.

Sebek was 5 when he met Idia and Ortho. Idia and Ortho were 7 and 5 respectively.

After a huge fight between his mother and his grandfather, he runs off into the forest. Most fanon works say that Sebek met Diasomnia when he got lost in the forest. I have used this popular headcanon myself for the Sebek Chime au so he WOULDN'T meet Diasomnia. But what if there was a third route to be taken?

Sebek runs off into the forest, with no destination in mind. All he knows is that it's LOUD and he likes being loud but he doesn't like the loud that's coming out from his mama and grampa, make it STOP-

He falls to his knees, letting the tears fall down for a bit, giving himself the chance to be vulnerable before he wipes them away and thinks that it would be unbecoming of him. Then he realizes that he's in the middle of an unrecognizable part of the forest.

He's lost.

Sebek panics, and it worsens when he suddenly hears a loud, animalistic wail. Despite his instincts telling him to "RUN AWAY." he searches for the source of the noise. He ends up in a large, grassy field...part of it covered in a weird, black substance and fresh blood.

He looks up in shock, as he finally sees a large blot phantom being captured by a bunch of STYX guards. Sebek can see a weird figure of a human, covered in the blot and desperately trying to escape from the guards. Without thinking, Sebek rushes in and pushes a guard away. The blot-covered human suddenly grabs Sebek by the wrist and-

He wakes up in a weird facility. Two young boys with flaming, blue hair watch him from the other side of a glass wall. Sebek screams out of fear, before trying to cover it up by loudly demanding that they reveal their intentions and bring him back home.

And this is how Sebek Zigvolt meets the Shrouds.

He's eventually let out from his room, but Idia explains that they can't let him go. Sebek huffs, demanding "WHY NOT!?" and getting in a scuffle with Idia before Ortho stops it. Sebek stomps off, and gets lost once more.

He stumbles upon another room, one with a huge bunch of scientists gathered in front of this large screen. No one has noticed him yet.

"Remarkable." One of them whispers. "This is the first time in centuries that we've been able to capture a Phantom without any complication." Someone snorts. "Just say death, man. We're all adults here. But you're right. The guy was even conscious AND responsive. I've never seen that in all the years I've started working here."

"You've been working here for 3 years, Steve."

"Oh shut up."

"Who's this little trespasser?" A new voice comes into the mix. Everyone jumps in surprise, as the scientists immediately greet the figure with the weird pink helmet (No, Sebek doe snot think that it's COOL and PRETTY SHUT UP).

Sebek tries to escape only for the woman to pick him up. "I heard you got into a little fight with my Idia. Apologies, little croc. I'm sure you're just scared." Sebek sputters out, "S-scared!? THE G-GREAT FUTURE GUARD OF W-WAKASAMA IS NEVER SCARED!"

She hums. Sebek can't see her face, but he feels like she has her brow raised. "Oh? Who's Wakasama?" He gapes at her. "YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THE GREAT MALLEUS IS!?" Everyone gapes at him this time.

"M-Malleus? The Draconia heir?"

"Hmph! Of course! Who else?" The woman huffs, before chuckling to herself. "Come on, little croc. Let me explain what's going on while we walk."

Idia's mom explains why Sebek is here, as he's made contact with a phantom. The thing is, something happened, but the robots that were supposed to take the phantom down were neutralized, recordings of the event completely erased. She says that whatever Sebek did, it resulted to STYX finding the overblotted human unconscious yet alive with the phantom weirdly docile. Or rather, docile enough as long as no one approached.

Eventually, they were able to capture the phantom anyway, and Sebek and the human were transported to STYX to treat whatever wounds they had as well as study what caused the first successful overblot recovery in centuries.

Sebek asks what happened to the human. Mama Shroud says that they're alright, just unconscious for now. For the rest of the walk, he stays completely silent. They enter another room where the Shroud family is.

Dad Shroud, pleased that Sebek has been found, asks if he's alright. The first thing that comes out of Sebek's mouth though is this: "Are the robots unsalvageable?" Idia is the one to answer, saying that they've basically been turned into scraps of metal. Sebek mutters a small, "Oh."

Dad Shroud coughs into his hand, asking Sebek if he had any family that they could notify. Sebek suddenly remembers why he was able to stumble upon the phantom in the first place and suddenly shouts out that NO, THEY SHOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT CONTACT HIS FAMILY. Yet.

The Shrouds reluctantly let Sebek stay for a bit, where Idia and Ortho take up the time to connect with Sebek because Ortho has never interacted with anyone his age before!!!! Idia is forced to come with.

OG trying to make sense of a world where magic doesnt exist, and everyone id human. Him treating Human!Diasomnia as if they were his own only to be shocked by how casual their relationships are

Human!Sebek causes SO many heart attacks. Here is Sebek, who is supposed to be DEAD, now alive and well and SOMEHOW a human.

Ghost reminds the Shrouds that there was truly a chance that their Sebek wouldnt bave been able to make it to them in the first place. But they also try to learn more about this Sebek just in case they can track down STYX's family again

No one is prepared for STYX!Sebek. He's full of joyous whimsy, is FAR TOO casual with people, uses too much slang, etc etc. Nothing like the powerhouse housewarden of Diasomnia that radiated elegance and solemnity.
