How to Keep a Routine without Motivation.
There are Four Laws of Behavior Change in the book, Atomic Habits. But today, I will be focusing on the Third Law: "Make it Easy".
You need a cue to trigger the habit loop.
It means in order to stick to a habit, you have to lessen the friction. Just like an alarm clock.
Throughout my self-transformation journey, I have had my fair share of trial and error and I will be sharing the system I built that has worked for me to achieve my intentions of the day.
Notion Recurring Tasks
You have probably heard stories about 'Notion being the best productivity app'. Notion is indeed the second-brain system where you can do a lot of things. It is versatile and easy to use since it syncs on both desktops and phones. But I have not seen anyone who talked about this new feature that helped me accomplish all my tasks and gave me more free time to achieve my higher self.
This has been the best system I built that is extremely helpful to my leveling-up journey. I was able to accomplish a lot of tasks and have more free time to achieve my highest self.
GUIDE: HOW TO CREATE A RECURRING TO-DO LIST
First, pick a task that you know you will be doing weekly, monthly, or yearly.
For example, every month you want to create a Monthly Workout Planner:
On your page, type /gallery and click the Gallery view.

2. Click the drop-down arrow on the upper right side and click "New Template"

3. Type your recurring task

4. After that, click "Back" and Click the 3 dots to choose the frequency of the reminder.

5. Your task will appear automatically on the specific day you set.
Note: You should check your daily to-do task every day because the app doesn't have a feature yet to remind you of the recurring task

WHAT SHOULD I PUT ON MY RECURRING TASK?
I do tasks based on the planetary ruler of the day.

Have you ever wondered why a lot of people don't like going to work on Mondays? It is because Monday is ruled by the moon. The energy of the day is encouraging us to rest and take things slow.
Now, I'm not saying you shouldn't show up at work or sit on your couch for the whole day! It's about doing prioritized tasks intentionally and not putting too much on your plate. However, if you feel like doing a lot of things on Monday then do it and don't waste your energy!
I like doing Yoga, Meditation, and Journaling every Monday to honor the Moon so I put them on a recurring task.
Tuesday is ruled by Mars. It's good to keep things fired up by working out and accomplishing a lot tasks as possible
Saturday is ruled by Saturn so it is the best day to structure and plan for the next week, clean, and change beddings.

my pink princess routine

my intentional morning routine
♡ The sun gently rises, casting a soft glow through the window as I wake up at 6:00 AM, feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead. I reach for my journal, a beautifully bound pastel book filled with delicate flowers and inspiring quotes, and begin to write down my dreams and aspirations for the day. After, I stretch out on my pastel pink yoga mat, taking in deep breaths of lavender-scented air as I ease into my morning yoga routine, feeling the stress and tension of the day start to melt away.
♡ Next, I brush my hair, feel the soft bristles run through my tresses, and then gently brush my teeth, enjoying the minty freshness that fills my mouth. With a clear mind and a calm spirit, I open a book and read a few pages, lost in the world of literature.
♡ As the clock strikes 7:40 AM, I head to the kitchen, where I have set up a delightful breakfast and a steaming cup of herbal tea. I spend a few moments scrolling through my social media feed, admiring the work of fellow artists, and engaging with them, gaining inspiration for my own creative work.
♡ At 8:00 AM, I pick up my apple pencil and begin to create, feeling the joy of self-expression flowing through me. As I draw, I imagine the delicate lines and pink colours of my artwork gracing my Instagram account, inspiring others to create and follow their passions.
♡ At 9:00 AM, I step into the shower, letting the warm water wash over me, feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. I spend some time taking care of my skin and body, using only the gentlest and most natural of products. With my skin glowing and my body relaxed, I sit down to meditate, calming my mind and setting intentions for the day ahead. I create a to-do list, listing all the things I want to accomplish, and the steps I need to take to achieve them.
♡ By 10:00 AM, I am ready to start my work as a visual designer, bringing my creative vision to life with each project I undertake. The soft pastel colours and gentle lines of my designs reflect my feminine and delicate spirit, and I feel pride and joy with each completed project.
♡ At 1:00 PM, I take a break for lunch, and take a quick walk or stretch, breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the beauty of nature around me.
♡ As the clock strikes 5:30 PM, I finish work and step outside to have some snacks, soaking in the beauty of the pastel-hued world around me, and the soft breeze playing with my hair. I take a few moments to unwind, without any distractions, just admiring the beauty of the world around me.
♡ Back home, at 6:30 PM, I wash my face and do my evening skincare routine, using only the gentlest of products, feeling the care and love I give to myself. With a refreshed and glowing face, I sit down to study, spending 1-2 hours learning frontend development through online courses or tutorials, expanding my skill set and knowledge.
♡ As the clock strikes 9:00 PM, I enjoy a wholesome dinner, filled with colourful and healthy foods. After dinner, I spend some time using my phone or watching something on my iPad.
♡ As the clock ticks closer to 10:00 PM, I turn off my phone and dim the lights, allowing my body and mind to unwind from the busyness of the day. I focus on my breathing, inhaling the soothing scent of lavender that fills my room and let my mind drift into a peaceful state.
♡ Finally, as the clock strikes 10:30 PM, I let myself drift off into a deep and restful sleep, feeling the softness of my pastel-coloured sheets and pillow under me, and dreaming of a world filled with gentle hues and delicate beauty.

monthly reset
hi everyone! since it’s the end of the month, i thought i’d tell you what i do at the end of every month, to prepare for the new month :)
brain dump tasks for the month ahead
this includes any events I have, such as a party, someone's birthday, important deadlines or exam dates, as well as the revision I want to get done in the month.
organise my calendar
i use multiple calendars to keep myself organised. first, i use ical and a physical calendar for birthdays and parties/events. then I use google calendar to time block my week out, adding in when I'm at school, my morning routine, study sessions, workout sessions and my free time. to organise my revision, I have a separate monthly study planner from emmastudies.com that I fill out. i have this above my desk on my corkboard, which helps me to know what revision I have to do on any given day.
set goals
to do this i look at my yearly goals (which i have on my yearly notion page), and then i decide how my yearly goal can be broken down into an achievable yet challenging monthly goal. for example, one of my yearly goals this year is to learn german, so one of my recurring monthly goals is to do german on duolingo daily. as I'm doing my a levels this year, my german study isn't too intensive, but once I've sat my exams in the summer I'll increase how much I study german.
tidy my environment
to bring in the new month it's super important to have a clean and tidy environment. for me, this means clearing any clutter off my desk, vacuuming my bedroom, cleaning my windows, windowsill, mirror and makeup brushes. i also like to tidy my clothes shelves and make sure everything is folded nicely, as well as my underwear and socks in my drawers. don't forget to change your bedsheets as well!
self-care
my favourite thing to do is have an everything shower and do my skincare routine, so I can get into my nice fresh bed all clean :) I also love to go to bed a little bit earlier than I usually do, and read for a little while before going to sleep.

Just think of constellation macaque at what Canon macaque would have become if he had his backstory. With how you gave him extra torture, took away the brotherhood early (when in Canon they lasted long enough post wukong punishment to still be free when wukong joined the monk, and to influence macaque), took away the mountain fight, made him believe wukong abandoned him to extra torture, etc. It would be weird if constellation macaque acted like Canon macaque with how different his past is
That's true...I just don't want it to feel like too off?? Or not enough incorporation of his canon self. But the backstory makes a huge difference.
And I'm currently writing him while he's reconciling with Wukong, which makes me doubt, because he's feeling some complex emotions, which is fine, but I don't want it to be...too jarring. Like, I don't want a moment like "ugh, he wouldn't say that" type shit going on.
I don't think I've done that so far because it's mostly been magic talk in the epilogue, and Macaque is in love with magic and likes to explain things. But now that we're going into chapter 5 onward, we're going to get into some deeper subjects that will be a challenge character wise
Which is ultimately good! We want those hard discussions, we want that conflict. That's what the epilogue is about, I just don't want to lose the "essence" of Macaque, if you will. The foundation of his character. His snarkiness and stuff. Because that's what he's most known for, but now he's not doing that as much because he's trying to make things work with Wukong.
.... nevermind, I just remembered he dropped Wukong into a freezing cold pool of water just for the LOLs, I feel better now 😂
