Starting the journey of fixing my bike
So, last Tuesday I was biking to work and my tire just went flat within a second, leaving me to walk (difficult due to neck injury). And now I need to fix it. So, I asked the plant lady for help because she has a whole garage of tools at home, but it turns out, she's extremely busy the whole week, and cannot lend me a hand. And I've never fixed a bike tire on my own, and have no tools.
Luckily, last time we fixed a tire, I wrote down all of the steps to fixing it, so I'm thinking, I can do this no problem if I have the tools. However, it was the front tire that was flat the last time, and there's a difference between removing the front and the back tire. I have the number of the wrench written down, that I need to undo the bolts that are holding the tire, and I ask the plant lady if I could just borrow that wrench, she says fine. She brings me the wrench. Turns out, it doesn't work. So the day after, I get another wrench from her, and this one does work! However, there's a second bolt that I didn't see before, and I still can't get the damned tire undone.
So at this point I feel so bad for pestering her when she's so busy, I figure out, okay, we're gonna do this another way, I don't need the right tools we'll find alternatives. Or, maybe I can check the damage and fix it without even removing the tire completely. So I try to fill the tire with air to see where the damaged part is - and I can't find it, it deflates immediately and I can't see where it's happening. Then I think, okay, let's check out the outer tire, to see what actually caused the damage (usually there will be a thorn or a piece of glass in the outer tire.) So I check it bit by bit, and I don't find a thorn or a piece of glass, but a big slash, and material that is slashed is very very worn and thin. And this is a cause for concern, because if the outer tire is irreparably damaged, I need to replace it, or the inner tube will just get flat again and it will be even more damage. But, it looks expensive and I'm not feeling good about that. And I still can't get the tire out of the bike.
Then I pause and go research alternatives to wrenches, and finally I find one; walnut opener. I grab that thing and somehow manage to get it at the angle in which it can grab the last bolt, I loosen it, I'm excited, we're doing this, it's working - and, it turns out it's the type of bolt that just spins endlessly and doesn't get out because the bolt on the other side is also just spinning. I would need a second wrench to hold the other bolt while I spin this one. And I have zero wrenches, none, I cannot do it. I go and research the alternatives of getting a spinning bolt free and the only alternative that might maybe work is using duct tape to hold the second bolt in place, and I have some duct tape so it's worth a try, every other method requires even more complicated tools. I am planning to try this after I rest from work, I'll make an update if it works.
Feeling disgruntled that I don't have any tools of my own, and also concerned, because I watched several videos on how to repair the outer tire, but they all say it's a temporary fix and the tire should be replaced, and I am dreading it. I wanted to just fix the inner tube with a glue and a stick-on and go on with my life. I have no idea what could have damaged the outer tire so badly, I'm extremely careful to only ride the bike on safe surfaces, without any sharp edges that could damage it.
If anyone is good at bike repair or could tell me if there's a way to repair the outer bike without replacing it, I would be extremely grateful for the advice. I can sew it together using a fishing line and put duct tape in the underside but I am scared it would end up ripped anyway, duct tape isn't meant to endure the strain of a tire on the road.

There will eventually be smut in this story. Minors DNI
Chapter 2
Johnny waited outside of Big Sal's bar to pick up Amelia. She was skiddish about giving out her home address, but he didn't mind that. So he suggested that they meet back at the bar. He'd then take her to a restaurant of his choosing.
When she pulled up and met him by the entrance, he was talking with some of his club members.
"That her?" Benny asked. Johnny turned and watched as Amelia approached. She was wearing a lavender dress with a small black belt and heels. Her hair was down, long and cascading past her shoulders.
"Yeah, that's her. Damn..." Johnny said, drinking in her womanly figure. He flicked the cigarette he had been smoking away and met her halfway. "Hey," he said, smiling.
"Um, hello," she said, smiling too, but shyly.
"Ready to go?" He asked, and she nodded. When he lead her over to his bike, she stopped dead in her tracks.
He lifted his leg and straddled the hulk of metal between his legs. He looked over at her, "Come on, just once? You'll like it, I promise," he said.
She slowly came up to the bike but just stood there awkwardly. Then she leaned in slightly close to him and said with a hint of embarrassment, "I...uh, how do I get on in a dress?"
Johnny felt a tinge of excitement in his loins thinking about what was underneath that dress. But he kept his composure, got off the bike, and helped her on.
"Just lift your leg over the seat here," he said, taking her left hand so that she could adjust her dress with her right. He got a glimpse of her bare thigh as the dress raised up when she lifted her leg. She was well toned, and her skin was bronze from her Mediterranean heritage.
In his mind, he likened her to the Roman goddess, Venus.
"Alright, all settled, sweatheart?" He said, settling himself on the seat in front of her. He very well knew his biker friends were watching, more likely than not giggling their heads off. But they knew better than to let Johnny hear them.
"I'm okay. So do I just do this?" She asked, wrapping her arms around his waist. Feeling her dainty arms encompass him and her ample chest pressed against his back caused Johnny to stiffen a little. He had to adjust himself slightly as the tightness of his pants became uncomfortable.
"Yep, you're doing great. But, uh, hold on tight, I don't want you falling off," he said as he turned on the motor and reved it. He felt her grip him tight as they sped off.
As they made their way to the restaurant, he took a glance in his left hand mirror and saw her dark brown hair extended behind her by the wind. Her eyes were open, and he could see a mixture of awe and anxiety expressed upon her beautiful face.
Once they arrived at the restaurant, Johnny helped her off his bike, again getting a glimpse of her lovely legs. They walked into the restaurant owned by a friend of his. It wasn't upscale, but it served good food, and Johnny always got his own table towards the back.
As they waited on their food,Johnny drank a beer and Amelia had wine. "So, what's your story? You're gorgeous, smart, and well-mannered, a little out of place around here, don't you think?"
Amelia took a sip of wine and set the glass on the table. "I'm not that well-mannered," she said, brushing her hair over a shoulder. Then she blinked, thinking she said something inappropriate and said, "I mean, I'm not a goody two shoes, if that's what you're implying?"
"No, but you're sweet, though. Delicate, even." He said.
"I can hold my ground, I'm just not biker tough, I suppose," she said, looking down into her glass.
"Hmmm, hey look at me. Do I scare you?" He asked, seeing that she continued avoiding eye contact with him.
"What? No. If you're friends with my uncle, I'm not scared," she said, only briefly glancing up at him. He chuckled, "Then what? Don't tell me a beautiful girl like you is shy?"
"Yes, a little," she said, nibbling on her bottom lip.
"You date much?" Johnny asked.
"Sure, but not recently. I'm focusing on my work," she said.
"Yeah? And what work do you do?"
"Accounting. I work for a firm in the city," she said.
"Hmmm, so going on a date with someone like me is a bit off your spectrum," he said, leaning back and taking a drink of his beer.
"Just a little...," she said. "But not in a bad way!" She said, making sure he knew that she wanted to be there.
He chuckled. She was precious, that was for certain. If she'd allow him, he'd eat her sweet, little pussy with all the tenderness he could muster. Then, devour her until she came, trembling like the meek little creature that she was. Boy, he was hungry and not for dinner.
She must have seen his eyes change. Perhaps she could see the lust in them. She shifted a little in her chair and asked, "So, aren't I a little off your spectrum?"
"You are. Most of the women I know understand how an engine runs. You, not so much."
"Now, do you mean an actual engine? Or is this similar to riding your "motorcycle" like the other day? I may not understand machines, but I do understand men," she said, her head held slightly high.
He smiled and leaned forward. "Nah, you understand what men want, but you don't understand how to give it to them."
"I've never received any complaints before," she said, finding offensive to his comment.
"Sweetheart, ain't no man in his right mind would complain about you spreading your gorgeous legs for them," he said.
Her cheeks turned slightly pink. "I'm not sure if this is appropriate talk for a first date," she said.
"It's from your mother's side, isn't it?" Johnny said.
"Huh?" She said, confused.
"You acting all proper," he said.
"Oh...yes, pretty much," she said, her expression seeming to show that she did not much care to discuss the topic of her mother any further.
"Working at a 9 to 5 job doesn't sound like much fun," he said, changing the topic.
"How do you mean?" She asked.
"Your freedom is taken away. You gotta do what those fat cats in corporate tell you," he said.
"Maybe a male would feel that way...but for me it is freedom. I get to make my own money. I don't need to depend on husband for shelter, food or anything," she said.
Johnny sat back, taking this perspective in. He supposed employment would mean freedom for a female. "Let me guess, mommy doesn't approve?"
"No, she doesn't like me working. I'm thirty-four, and she thinks I'm an old maid. That my time for finding a husband is over. Which I'm perfectly fine with," she said, the wine relaxing her into conversation.
Maybe Amelia wasn't as prim and proper as he had initially thought.
"So, dating a biker would really piss her off then?" He asked, grinning.
"It certainly would," she said, laughing prettily. "I have a question, do you really go by Johnny?"
"Yeah? Is that bad?"
"No, it's not. It just sounds...you know, childish. Wouldn't you prefer John?"
"John's my father. I like to be called Johnny," he said nonchalantly. "But if the princess likes, she can call me John."
"Princess, hmm?" She said, nudging him gently with her foot under the table.
"Yeah, you get to call me John, and I get to call you Princess," he said, smiling.

Love in the Air (2022) - Review
When clouds in the sky and falling rain tease the two close friends in trouble, Rain and Sky, it takes them to meet Payu and Prapai, who are not only cunning saviours but also guys making storms in the two best friends' hearts. The war of love is about to take place in the warm spring, hot summer, lonely autumn and cold winter. How would the atmosphere of love be? Which way would their hearts wave and the air full of love take them to? (via MyDramaList)
Where do I even start with this one? Maybe with the fact that the synopsis only loosely relates to the story you actually get? Or the fact that unless you're a fan of the "pushy rich guy pursues shy/naive younger guy" trope this series definitely isn't for you. I normally don't mind this trope but something about the way it was executed in Love in the Air just rubbed me the entirely wrong way.
The series itself is basically split into two, the first half following the romance between Rain and Payu and the second following Prapai and Sky. In theory that's great especially because there isn't all that much plot that happens so why stretch it out more than necessary but somehow it still manages to fall flat anyway. Mostly because I felt like the writers were only able to write two kinds of main characters--pushy rich guy and naive, somewhat whiny, younger guy. The problem though is that in the first half where we focus on Rain and Payu, Sky is Rain's best friend and is set up as more of a voice of reason, levelheaded, smart and rather confident type of character, which is all fine and good until we switch to Sky's story with Prapai and his character changes entirely. Instead he quickly turns into the same character as we previously saw in the first half from Rain. And while the writers tried to explain that and gave him a very sad backstory that affects him a great deal still (I so dearly hoped that would make him a more interesting and layered character than Rain...it didn't), it still didn't really know how to make that work anyway.
The story between Rain and Payu starts out fun with Payu, as is typical for the trope, being "obsessed" with Rain and trying his darnest to get Rain to become equally as obsessed with him, fall in love with him, and just to play with him. They kind of bond over architecture, since that's Payu's day job and what Rain studies at university, but it's mostly just Rain making a fool of himself trying to get Payu, even though Payu has been his since the start since he'd already had an eye on him before they even met at the beginning of the series. Payu also works as a car mechanic and owns a shop with his brother, and he also works as mechanic for a rich boss and his bikes for illegal street races. I thought the street racing would play a bigger part in the story but besides being used as crutch for the third act drama in Rain and Payu's story, it wasn't all that important, at all. There was some character growth on Rain's part and overall their story was fine and sweet. Nothing too exciting or new, just fine. Visually the actors playing them fit together so that added to the enjoyment of watching them together.
Then we have Sky and Prapai. Their first encounter led to them hooking up and then having no contact for two months after. Much like with Payu, Prapai developed a "obsession" with Sky in that after their hookup he couldn't forget about him and couldn't hookup with anyone else anymore cause he kept on thinking about Sky and their magical encounter. So, perfectly timed, once the RainPayu storyline finished, Prapai asks Rain for Sky's number and their story begins. For most of their story Sky is not interested in being associated with Prapai whatsoever, constantly tells him to leave him alone, rejecting his advances and attempts to bond. (Trigger warning for SA) This is explained by the fact that Sky's previous boyfriend was a illegal racer as well who used Sky as a toy and eventually started to abuse him and ended their relationship by basically allowing his besties to SA Sky for his amusement while telling him just how bored he is of him and how useless he is. Understandably Sky still has horrific nightmares about it and doesn't trust Prapai even if solely because he is a racer as well. And because we're all adults here, no conversation about this happens until the last episode. After Sky gets nearly SAed by his ex once more. (Trigger warning over) How did the writers choose to deal with Sky's obvious trauma? A five minute conversation with Prapai afterward and voila, problem solved. Yeah I don't think so buddy.
As I mentioned before Sky quickly devolves into the same naive and kind of whiny character that Rain was previously, and the amount of times that Prapai touched his head in a way that I know was meant to be tender and sweet yet to me it just came across as almost patronising or like a older brother/father petting their younger brother/kid on the head. Generally I also didn't really feel their chemistry which was a shame.
Overall once the series finished, I was relieved that it was over. There was too little plot to fill 12 episodes despite the material they had and could've used. There were a lot of missed opportunities and some of the behaviours and tropes just drove me up the wall more and more as the story progressed. In short I, as well as Admin 2, did not have a fun time watching this and if it weren't for the fact that we watched it together and commented and laughed at it together, I would've probably not made it past the first or second episode on my own.
I'm really sorry to the person who left a comment that this is their favourite BL but for me/us it was unfortunately a miss.
From Admin 2 - I won't hide the fact that I like BL because there's a lot that's pleasing to the eye, it you know what I mean, and that BL as a whole showed me something I'd previously not seen/gotten from Western media to such an extent when it comes to queer stories. As proud ally I'd glad that we have something like this.
Because of that the first half of this series was fun for me since the actor playing Payu, "Boss" Chaikamon Sermsongwittaya, is really hot and handsome and in the car mechanic uniform with his half tied up hair he just looked wow, for a lack of better word. In contrast with the good university student Rain, they seemed exciting and believable and it was nice to look at them act together. They have chemistry. Their interactions seemed comfortable and looked natural so they weren't embarrassing/uncomfortable to watch which I can't say about Sky and Prapai.
After researching the world of BL I know that pair is very popular as BL ship but personally I don't see it and I'm not a fan. In my eyes they don't fit together and I also felt like both didn't enjoy playing these roles and especially the more intimate scenes. But I only talk about my own thoughts and I don't want to ruin anyones fun or anything. Without that feeling of believability and chemistry between the actors, I can't call the series good even if I thought the plot was good or whatever else. The choice of the actors for the main couples makes up a big portion of the success or failure of a show. Even if there wasn't that chemistry between them in the intimate scenes, it could've been remedied with other scenes that could've made watching more enjoyable overall, but unfortunately the focus was put more on the former and so it wasn't convincing at all to me. From research I also know that some fans have a ranking of best BL kisses that acts as almost like a way to decide whether or not a series was a success or not as a whole, and to me Sky and Prapai wouldn't rank anywhere on that list.
I haven't watched that many BL series yet and maybe my mistake was starting out this journey by watching series that set the bar quite high when it comes to the chemistry between the main pair (KinnPorsche) and now I automatically look for the same level of chemistry in other series and their actors as well. Because in these types of stories the chemistry is an extremely deciding factor.
They touched upon a very deep psychological issue in Love in the Air but it was shown in a very naive way and also acted very naively where Sky's trauma manifests in Sky acting naively like a child. It comes across too cartoony for both the severity of the issue and also his visuals as actor through behaviours. Likewise Prapai who's supposed to be the person to help him "solve" or overcome his trauma didn't convince me either. For me the trauma and issue they tried to touch on exceeded the skills as actors that the two actors have as well as the abilities of the writer. Which is a real shame because they could've done something really interesting with this.
And I agree with Admin 1 that we surely only had fun watching the show because we were watching it together.

@dragonslayer-week 2022 Day 2 (July 26): Nerd Yang / Jock Jaune
(High School AU)
Whatever the deal was with these guys, Jaune would never know. He has spent all summer practicing, preparing for football season, but even with how much he had improved with his catching and route running, his "teammates" did not seem to like him at all. Four in particular. Was it because he'd improved? No, it's not like he would be taking any of their spots on the team. He was good, but not better than them.
But every day of summer workouts, Jaune would arrive to the locker room and either receive the cold shoulder from them, or receive short, combative warnings from them, about staying out of their way, "Don't look at me, Jaune boy."
His coaches weren't much help. "They're just being competitive." Again, Jaune knew that wasn't it. Why be so competitive with the 3rd string tight end?
It was Friday, scrimmage day. Jaune was having a good practice, having not dropped a single pass thrown his way, unless you count that throw that ended up intercepted because that definitely was not his fault. A few teammates were encouraging, but those same four guys, Cardin, Dove, Skye and Russel, could not stop making him feel uneasy.
After a particularly rough shove from Cardin, during a minimal-contact run-through, Jaune finally had enough. "What is your problem with me?!" He asked, pushing himself back up to his feet. He did not want to get into a fight with this guy, but Cardin was advancing towards him. Other team members and a coach had to step in.
The question was genuine. He really wanted to know why Cardin and his buddies were so hostile towards him. Jaune didn't think he'd done anything to them. In fact, he generally avoided them for obvious reasons. He didn't get an answer. The coach told Cardin to go take a seat on the bench for the rest of practice. He'd get a talking to afterwards.
After practice, Jaune waited on the curb near the field as usual, waiting for his ride home from his older sister (he could not wait to get his own car, whenever that day would come). Saph was notorious for running late, so he would probably be there for a while. And in this heat? He was fine with just sitting here instead of getting a little extra practice in like other team members often did. He just sat under this tree, on his phone.
Jaune: Practice is over. Now the wait begins
Yang: Lol nice. Wanna hang out later
Jaune: Maybe after I shower. And nap. And eat like ten hamburgers or smthn. Probably shower twice
Yang: Stinky
Jaune: Hey
Jaune: You're not wrong
He had been friends with Yang since they were kids, when his family would take vacations to Patch. Then Yang's family moved here, three blocks away from Jaune's house. That trip between houses was made many times on bikes. Or in Yang's case, on bikes, then on motorized bikes, and as she had been working on for a long time, eventually a proper motorcycle. She'd been saying she wanted to finish it before the school year started, and she promised she'd start giving Jaune rides to and from school. He wasn't completely up for it, given Yang had a reckless streak, but riding a motorcycle definitely sounded fun, even if it definitely would get him in trouble with his parents if they new about it. But Yang was wildly smart, so he wasn't worried about anything with the bike itself (he was still amazed that her dad let her build one).
This was an unusually long wait. Maybe Saph was occupied with her college classes, or studying, or Terra. He had probably been here for about an hour when he noticed someone walking his way. It was Cardin and his crew.
Yang: Hey, wanna see something cool?
Jaune didn’t have time to respond. These four were heading his way with a purpose. A purpose he was not excited about dealing with. He stood to his feet, trying to seem brave, but much like when on the field, he didn’t like his chances against four big defenders.
“You’ve fucked up, Jaune boy,” Cardin said. He towered about a foot taller than Jaune, and significantly wider too. He could probably squeeze the sap out of a tree trunk.
“What did I do?” Jaune asked, curious of what he’d say. Again, he legitimately wanted to know.
“Like you don’t know,” Cardin said, slowly closing the distance between them. Jaune instinctively began backing up, onto the empty road.
“I really don’t,” Jaune said. “You guys come after me for no reason.”
“There’s plenty of reason, pussy,” Cardin spat. “You think you’re all that, you think you’re better than me, well I’ll teach you, get you to know better.”
“What?” Jaune never considered himself better than Cardin. Football wise, anyway. They played two completely different positions. As a person, though? He was definitely a better person than Cardin.
“That girlfriend of yours,” Cardin continued. “No, actually, that bitch of yours.”
Girlfriend? This was news to Jaune. Wait… “You mean Yang?”
“Uhhh ‘you mean Yang?’” Skye mocked, chuckling with the others as they stood behind Cardin.
“She’s not my girlfriend,” Jaune said. “And she’s not a bitch, either.”
“Oh yes she is,” Cardin said. “She never told you? What she did to me?”
Jaune tilted his head. “Huh?”
“She stood me up, for you.”
Since when did Yang agree to go on a date with Cardin Winchester? “What?”
“She just needs to see who the real man here is,” Cardin said. “Not some piss rag like you.”
“I don’t know what you’ve convinced yourself is true, but Yang would never want to go out with you,” Jaune told him.
“That’ll change.” Cardin grinned and clapped his hands, rolling his shoulders as if warming up.
Jaune considered running, but where to? Besides, there was four of them, and Skye was especially fast. He was stuck here. Would he really have to do this?
“What’s it gonna be, Jaune boy?” Cardin said, standing and waiting to see if Jaune would step up. “Fight like a man?”
Jaune remembered something his dad once told him. “Men don’t fight, but children do.” Too bad Cardin was being a very big, very angry child right now. He swallowed down the lump in his throat. Yep, he had no choice…
“Pussy,” Cardin said and set on Jaune, stomping forward. Jaune began backtracking, evading Cardin’s attempts to grab and punch him. Jaune managed to shove him away, but that wouldn’t keep working. Fuck, where was Saph? Or the coach? Anyone that could stop this? Jaune just wanted to go home.
Cardin landed a glancing blow to Jaune’s temple. It didn’t exactly hurt that much, but triggered reflex tears in his eye, which steamed down his face. “Yeah, cry,” Cardin taunted, only for Jaune to quickly lower his shoulder and block him backwards. Cardin was surprised and stumbled back, falling to his butt.
Jaune took a shaky breath and stepped back. Maybe he’d stop now?
No, of course not, and now Cardin was even more angry. She got up and grunted, breaking into an almost-run towards Jaune.
It was then that Jaune heard the sound of a motor quickly approaching. He turned to look down the street. It was a yellow motorcycle, the rider wearing a very recognizable flaming gold helmet.
“Yang?” Jaune muttered, only to get punched in the face. He partially dodged, taking it just under the eye instead of the nose. He fell to the ground, but when he looked back up, Cardin’s attention was turned toward Yang, who had skidded to a stop and dismounted her newly completed motorcycle.
“Oh hey, look who showed up,” Cardin said, grinning at Yang. He cracked his knuckles. “Don’t worry, hun. Just settling some issues.”
Yang was dressed in a brown jacket over an orange tank top and black jeans. She slipped the helmet off her head, letting her hair fall and revealing a very angry expression. She kept toward Cardin.
“Yeah yeah, that’s it, bring it in, cutie,” Cardin said, arms outstretched as if expecting a hug.
He instead got a helmet to the teeth.
Cardin stumbled to his knees and roared in pain. He held his mouth, blood dripping on the street. “Whath the thuck?!”
Yang looked at the other three, all wide-eyed and frozen in place.
“Oh, shit.” Jaune muttered.
“Fuck outta here,” Yang grumbled to the three, and gestured to Cardin with her helmet. “And take him and his teeth with you.”
“Thuck you!” Cardin cursed as he stumbled to his feet.
“Come on, let’s tell coach,” Dove suggested.
“Yeah, tell your coach a girl knocked your huge gopher teeth out, tough man,” Yang said with a smile, flashing her silver braces.
“Thut the thuck up, bisch!” Cardin yelled, his voice breaking. The four turned and left, likely to get Cardin home and call a dentist.
Yang made sure to watch them leave, then turned in time to see as Jaune got to his feet. She shook her head. “What the fuck happened?”
“Apparently,” Jaune said as he watched the four leave too. “He’s pissed about you standing him up?”
Yang leaned her head back and groaned. “Seriously?”
“Since when do you like dickheads like him?”
“I don’t? But he just would. Not. Stop.” Yang paused and poked Jaune in the cheek. “Does that hurt?”
“Ow— Slightly.”
She stepped closer and looked at his eye closely. “Hmm.”
“I see you finished your bike,” Jaune said with a chuckle. “Good timing.”
“Your eye looks fine, I think.”
“I think it was mostly my cheek,” he said, acknowledging the annoying throbbing along his cheekbone. She was still looking at his face closely. He could feel her breath on his face. Hair was sticking to her forehead from wearing a helmet in this heat. “What’s with the red contacts?”
“I can’t wear my huge glasses under my helmet visor.”
“But why red?”
“I’m a weeb.” She nodded, then coughed and stepped back. “Yep, you’re stinky. Well…” She gestured to her bike. “Want a ride?”
“Maybe after you explain the rest of whatever the hell Cardin was talking about.”
“He would talk to me every day between classes last year,” she said. “And I kept saying no, no, fuck off, no. I think he just thought I was playing hard to get. Which I was. I was very hard for him to get, but apparently he’s no quitter.”
“And so you eventually agreed to go out with him?”
“No! He walked up to me, handed me a movie ticket, and told me to meet him at the theater at 10pm to see that Jay Hawk movie.”
“The one we went to see?”
“Yep! I took the ticket and brought you instead!”
Jaune blinked. “Well no wonder he thinks we’re dating.”
“He thinks we…? Well no wonder he tried to fight you. He’s an insecure little weirdo.”
Jaune chuckled. “Thanks for saving me, by the way.”
“I mean, thanks for giving me an excuse to knock the guy’s teeth out.” She looked at her helmet and sighed, pointing at the top. “Left a mark.”
“My condolences to your helmet on its injury,” Jaune said sarcastically, smiling at her.
She rolled her eyes and chuckled. “I’m sorry that douche hit you. That’s so fucked up, honestly. You didn’t do anything.
“Well, I don’t think he’ll mess with me anymore. He might think my girlfriend will come after him again.”
“I’ll take any chance he gives me,” Yang said honestly. “I just…really hate him. I hope he has that coin slot in the front of his face forever.
“Same.”
She led him over to her newly completed bike. “Well, what do you think?”
“You seriously built this whole thing all on your own,” Jaune said, not really asking, more just expressing his wonder. The bike had a yellow and orange color scheme and chrome accents. It was the coolest thing he had ever seen.
“With a little help from my dad.” She lifted the backseat and pulled a spare helmet from the hidden compartment. She tossed it to Jaune. “Safety first.”
He caught the helmet and laughed. “All that studying paid off then?”
“I taught myself how to build a motorcycle, and then I did,” Yang said with a shrug.
“Just as a fun little project.”
“Yep.”
Jaune would never not envy how smart Yang was. “So humble.” He said with a smile, then put his helmet on. “So, do I just…?”
She climbed onto the bike and started the engine. “Just climb on back.”
“Do I need to, like, hold onto you?” Jaune asked as he awkwardly got onto the bike behind her.
“Sure,” she said, having to yell over the engine. “If you really want to.”
He rolled his eyes and sighed, encircling her waist and locking his fingers together in front of her, because he didn’t know where else to put his hands. “How fast does this thing go?”
“Dunno, shall we find out?”
“Uh.”
Yang laughed. “JK, I’m taking things slow with her.”
“Her?”
“Her name’s Bumblebee.”
He patted the side of the bike. “Hi Bumblebee.”
Yang laughed, leaning back and nudging him with her shoulder. “Shall I get you home so you can shower and nap and eat your hamburgers?”
“Yes please.”
“I could join you.”
“You want burgers?”
“No, to shower and nap with you, duh,” she said sarcastically, nudging him again, and making him blush. “We aren’t actually dating, remember?”
“Well, I mean…” Jaune began, muttering softly enough to where he assumed she wouldn’t be able to hear.
Yang giggled and revved the engine. “Off we go!” She took off down the street, accelerating much faster than Jaune expected. He yelped and leaned back, jabbing Yang in the stomach with his locked hands. She shook her head and for some reason, began driving in a serpentine manner, making Jaune wobble side to side. “Just getting you used to it!” She yelled.
“Ahhhh,” Jaune responded in the most respectable way he could.
Yang laughed again and accelerated. He was a bit more ready for it this time. As she got on a busier road and sped up, he couldn't help but laugh. This was awesome! And terrifying!
But if Yang was being truthful about giving him rides every day, he would surely get used to it eventually.

p. hayate x gn!reader g. fluff, confession . 100+ event
Tumblr media
autumn has its ups and downs, and today was one of those bad days. the sun that had shone brightly in the morning was nowhere to be seen right now.
you worriedly look outside, grey clouds cover the sky outside. the weather app on your phone predicts no rain, but you, being unprepared for cold weather, are not relieved by this news.
your t-shirt that seemed like the perfect clothing when you stepped out of the house provided no protection for the cold autumn weather.
of course, there is always a solution. hayate, who always dresses extra warm because his mom tells him to.
not to mention your big crush on him, it was the perfect plan.
right when the bell rings, signalling your end of the day, you approach hayate. he's happily conversing with his friend behind him.
"oh, hey y/n," he greets you. his friend tells him he needs to leave and hayate waves him goodbye.
"hayate, it is super cold outside," you begin, "and i don't have anything except this with me." you point at your t-shirt.
he laughs, "you're always so smart when it comes to dressing for the weather."
you roll your eyes at his teasing, "at least i wasn't sweating in first period."
"at least i'm not the one going home while freezing in a t-shirt. what do you want me to do about it?"
"sharing is caring, give me the hoodie," the dark blue hoodie he has been wearing all day was your target.
he looks hesitant but hands you his hoodie after you shoot him a smile. how could he refuse?
now, you are walking home, hayate walking next to you. he made sure to walk you home too, "in case you're still cold." he had said.
hayate is wearing his jacket and holds his bike next to him as he peacefully walks next to you.
"hayate," you say, "you didn't have to walk me home you know, it's not that cold."
"it was getting late anyway, now that the sun sets earlier it'll be dark soon. it's too dangerous."
you avoid eye contact with him when he talks to you. this was definitely not helping you get over your crush on him.
"thank you, that's very kind of you."
"of course i'm kind, whose hoodie are you wearing right now?" he scoffs. you softly hit his shoulder.
"that's why i like you," you happily beam. you're unaware of the fact that it kind of sounds like a confession.
you suddenly stop walking, and turn to hayate. had he noticed how suspicious that had sounded?
"you know, you're too obvious when it comes to crushes." he begins, "did you really think you were slick with staring at me?"
your heart thumps in your chest. was this what rejection felt like? you hadn't mentally prepared for this moment yet.
"don't look so sad, i'm not done yet." he says, slightly panicked, "i like you too."
"hayate, that was the worst way to tell someone you like them back!" you exclaim out of relief. "i was about to cry!"
he laughs loudly, "you should've seen the look on your face!"
you begin to speed up, leaving hayate behind.
"wait up! i'm sorry! wait!"
the bickering and teasing didn't stop until you got home. hayate told you to keep the hoodie as a reminder of today, and you happily danced in your room after you made sure he left.

The Girl From Night Raven | Twisted Wonderland AU
Chapter 10: Walk of Shame
Warning: strong language, mild sexual content, a little angst
a/n: It's been a while huh? I have been dedicating myself to my main blog, but I don't want to forget about these series. I probably won't post very often, but don't worry, this blog isn't dead. Hope you all enjoy this little chapter.
(The Girl From Night Raven Masterlist)
"Aren't you gonna get ready? We have class, you know?" Leona asked, buttoning up his yellow vest in front of the mirror.
"You never go to class, you're the biggest slacker in school, why are you so excited to go today?" Ilse cried, trying to use her blazer to hide the fact that her shirt was totally ruined from the night before. "Why did you have to rip all the buttons? You're such an animal..."
"There, take one of my shirts, it might be a little big on you, but it's better than this."
She begrudgingly followed his advice before heading to the door with a huff. "Wait five minutes before you leave, I don't want people to see us walking together."
"Why is that?"
"Because they'll think we're dating."
"Would that be so bad? Who cares what people think anyway?"
It was true, normally Ilse didn't care, but she had way too much pride to admit she drank from the water she said she would never drink, an expression her mother always used.
"Look, if it means that much to you, then fine, go ahead first."
So that was what shame felt like... Never had Ilse felt more embarrassed than leaving the Savanaclaw dormitory in that huge shirt that spilled out of her blazer and her hair even messier than usual. Without making eye contact with anyone, she headed straight to class, taking her seat between Ace and Jack.
"Ilse! Idia and Ortho are crazy looking for you," Ace exclaimed. "Where have you been?"
"I- I... Leona needed help with potions, I was tutoring him," she cleared her throat.
"You tutoring Kingscholar?" Jack grimaced. "Thought you couldn't stand him."
"I can't, he's disgusting and smells like wet fur, but he... Paid me! He's rich, so I don't feel bad taking money from him, especially when I have to hear his blabbing all night long."
"I didn't think he would need help, he's actually really smart-" Deuce murmured.
"NO MORE QUESTIONS OKAY?" she snapped, resting her head on the desk.
"After the first period, make sure to let your dorm leader know you're okay, also Kalim, Malleus, and Floyd are worried sick so see if you can let them know too," Jack whispered.
Ilse groaned and rubbed her eyes in frustration. Not only she had made what might've been the biggest mistake of her life, but she also managed to worry her best friends, upset her dorm leader, and potentially ruin her chances with three really nice guys who actually liked her and treated her well.
——————————————————
As Ilse walked into the cafeteria for lunch all eyes turned to her. As soon as she sat by one of the empty tables, a small crowd gathered around. Floyd and Kalim being the most enthusiastic members.
"Are you okay, starfish?" Floyd asked. "Did something happen to you last night?"
"Nah, I'm totally fine, not a scratch. I was just tutoring Leona for some extra cash," she tried to sound as relaxed as possible. Virginity was a social construct, right? Girls usually 'break' their hymen way before they even have sex, by riding a horse or a bike... Right? It's not like he had to be this big part of her life from now on.
"Really? Leona told us he was tutoring you," Kalim frowned in confusion.
"Leona... Tutoring me? Yeah like that would happen," she scoffed. "All that matters is that I'm here, I'm fine, nothing bad happened."
"You're right," Kalim smiled softly at her. "We were worried, glad you're okay."
Malleus was on the other side of the room with Lilia and the other Diasomnia members, they always isolated themselves for some reason. Ilse raised her hand to wave at him and he nodded, heaving a sigh of relief knowing his favorite mortal was okay.
"I should probably find Idia and let him know I'm alive," she got up, not able to finish what was on her plate, which Ruggie immediately noticed and took advantage of, stealing her tray as soon as she left.
Idia and Ortho were, of course, at the dorm. After Ruggie's confession about Ilse's safety, they were a little more relaxed, but they still hadn't seen her and the Ignihyde dorm leader started wondering if she actually decided to change dorms like he suggested on the day of her selection.
"Ids? Idia?" Ilse knocked on the door and he nearly had a heart attack.
"Ilse?"
"Yeah, it's me, can I come in?"
"Uh..." That had never happened before, usually Idia could communicate just fine through the door and there was no need for him to look into anybody's eyes, he was fine with that. But for some reason this time he wanted to look into her eyes. "Yeah, sure."
Ilse slowly opened the door and stepped inside his room. It was a mess of food containers, manga, video games, and dirty laundry, but it was cozy at the same time. Idia sunk in his chair, blushing when he saw her come in. She was probably gonna think he was dirty or something... He shouldn't have said yes.
"Hey, I just wanted to see you face to face to apologize for last night. It was very irresponsible of me to just disappear and not tell anyone, especially you, senpai," she said, the sincerity in her voice nearly making his hair explode in pink flames.
"I-It's fine, we were just worried that something might've happened to you," Idia murmured. "I'm glad it didn't. Ortho mentioned something about tutoring, right?"
"Right."
"You're not a very good liar, you know that?" He said. For someone who avoided human contact at all costs, he was very perceptive. He knew it was none of his business where she was and what she was doing, but he still wanted to know. "But you don't have to tell me the truth if you don't want to."
"I'm not- if I tell you something, do you promise not to tell anyone?" She asked quietly.
Idia nodded, unable to tear his eyes away from her blushing face. That was probably the most adorable thing he had ever seen, she looked like an anime character. "Who would I even tell?" He shrugged.
"Okay, so... Sam from the store gave me a chocolate and it turns out it had a true desire spell in it. I ended up going totally insane and marching to the Savanaclaw dorm."
"True desire? So your true desire was to spend the night there?" He asked confused.
"Idia, please don't hate me! I- I spent the night with Leona and I can't tell anyone else, but I trust you and I respect you and you're the only one I can talk to about it!" Ilse finally said and fell onto his bed, crying her eyes out.
"Oh! You... Spent the night with him? Like together in the same bed? Doing... Stuff?"
"Yeah, and I barely remember anything, but now I'm scared that stupid potion prophecy is gonna come true," she sobbed and Idia, against his better judgment, got up from his gaming chair and sat down next to her, gently rubbing her back as if trying to soothe her. "I can't believe I did that, and with him! This school is crawling with cute guys, nice, respectful guys, and I-"
"I'm sorry, Ilse," he reluctantly wrapped his arms around her. It had been ages since he actually hugged someone. The last time must've been when he went home for the holidays, but something about her telling him such a personal secret, trusting him with that confession, made him feel closer to her. "You know, you did nothing wrong, you were under a spell. And even if you weren't, that's not a crime or anything, you don't have to be ashamed."
"Yeah, but it was a true desire spell, that means something."
"I know, but you can desire lots of people, doesn't mean you have to marry all of them. I mean, I have a dozen waifus at least! Why can't you have a few husbandos?"
"What?" Ilse looked up at him confused.
"Look, what I'm saying is that you can find several people attractive at the same time, you might want to... Do stuff with them, but it doesn't mean you love all of them. So what that chocolate made you do wasn't really that serious. It was just one of your true desires, maybe if you ate another one today, you'd end up somewhere else."
"Wow, Ids," she wiped the tears from her face. "I never thought I'd hear something like that from you. Where did you learn to be such a good confidant?"
"Just because I don't like talking to people doesn't mean I can't give good advice, when you listen as much as I do instead of just talking, you learn what people need to hear."
"If I didn't just mess up monumentally and all that, I'd kiss you right now," Ilse admitted. "But that would just make the tangle even bigger."
"Y-yeah, totally tangled, I get it..." Idia's flames started to heat up more, turning a bright shade of pink and he couldn't hide how much that statement messed with him. He had a chance with her?
——————————————————
"Hey, kitten," a low growl made Ilse nearly scream as she worked on her homework at the library.
"Leona, don't call me that!" She hissed, pushing him away.
The lion boy huffed and took a seat next to her. Ever since that morning, he'd been wanting to talk and maybe understand what would happen regarding their encounter, but she had been avoiding him from the moment she left the room.
"So, we're just not gonna talk about it?" He asked, resting his legs on the table.
"Talk about what?"
"You know what."
"Then no, we are not talking about it," Ilse looked up from her book with a hollow grin before turning her head back down.
"I can't believe you're gonna let this silly hatred ruin something nice. We had a good time, you really don't remember anything?"
"Well, over the last few days I've been remembering, but I'm not enjoying remembering it."
"Are you sure?" He smirked, flashing his bright white teeth. "Because you were very into it that night."
"What is your problem, Kingscholar?" She slammed the book shut. "Are you in love with me or something? Why won't you leave me the fuck alone?"
He gaped at her words, how could she even suggest he was in love with her? That despicable, bossy, stubborn, arrogant herbivore? Who does she think she is?
What he felt was definitely not love, it was nothing, it was an animalistic attraction created by the rollercoaster effect she had on him. Sometimes she was nice, sometimes she wasn't and that certainly left him confused.
None of that explained why he hated to see her with other boys, why he nearly lost his shit when he caught a glimpse of her kissing Kalim, why he felt like strangling Floyd anytime he saw that lanky fish boy hitting on her so desperately. But Leona just chose to ignore all of that.
"No! You wish!" He exclaimed instead.
"Then what do you want from me?"
"I don't even know, just forget it. I don't give a shit about you, Gothel, maybe you just put a spell on me or something. That little song you sing when you make people do what you want."
"If I were using my Siren Song on you, you'd be long gone."
"Or maybe that's what you want me to think, because you are the one who is in love with me!"
"Yeah, keep flattering yourself, stupid cat," Ilse scoffed. "If you don't get out of my face in five seconds, I will use the Siren Song to make you jump from the rooftop."
"You wouldn't..."
"Flower glim and glow, let your power-"
"Fine, you psycho!" Leona was about to get up when he spotted Malleus coming towards her table and instead draped one arm around her.
"What are you doing? Take your dirty paws off me."
Malleus didn't seem intimidated by the gesture. Instead, he took a seat on the other side, elegantly crossing his legs, unlike his opponent. Mal tilted his head, waiting for Ilse to notice he was there.
"Spit it out, lizard," Leona growled, tightening his grip around her shoulders. "What do you want?"
"Malleus!" Ilse covered her mouth after calling him way louder than she anticipated, her heart nearly racing out of her chest. "Hi, what's up?"
"Lilia heard it from the first years that you spent the night being tutored. I'm so glad it was all a misunderstanding, but I just had to check on you, mortal child," he explained.
"I wasn't being tutored, I was tutoring. When would I ever need academic advice from mister fail-a-lot?" She laughed. "But yeah, I'm okay, sorry I just disappeared like that. I wasn't really myself last night."
"And what were you studying? If you don't mind me asking, of course."
"Female anatomy," Leona wet his lips.
"Shut up..." Ilse whispered, trying to break free from his embrace, but he was too strong.
"You seem upset, did something happen?" Malleus asked.
"Do you know what popping one's cherry means, you scaly bastard?" Leona countered with a shit-eating grin.
"No, what does it mean?"
"It means Ilse and I had sex that night. That's why she disappeared and spent the night at the Savanaclaw, because I was fucking her brains out."
"Leona!" She kicked his shin and finally managed to push him away, standing up. Her eyes filled with tears and she felt so embarrassed she could just faint. "You had no right to say anything, it was the spell."
"Calm down, meat, everyone would eventually figure it out. What are you so scared of? Your sycophantic followers won't kiss your boots every time you walk into a room? You just wanna keep every boy in this school wrapped around your fingers and never really pick a boyfriend. You're just like your grandma and your mom."
"Fuck you! Second-born piece of shit! It's a good thing you'll never be king, all the people of Sunset Savanna are very grateful for that, you tyrant!" She snapped before running out of the library to hide in her bedroom. She would rather die than cry in front of him or hear what Malleus had to say about this whole thing.
Truth is that she felt disrespected, she knew the moment people heard the news, they would think less of her just because she was the only girl around.
"How could you do this to a lady?" Malleus finally asked, knowing better than to chase after her. He understood better than anyone that sometimes people just needed to be alone with their own thoughts.
"What? Fucked her? She asked for it," Leona smirked. "And she loved it."
"No, expose her like that," he frowned. "I don't really mind what happened between you and her, that doesn't change the way I feel about Ilse, but after this ridiculous display, it certainly changes the way I feel about you. It isn't my business what you did or didn't do, I worry about her safety and her happiness, something you don't seem to care about."

So i just saw your "Talk " " to me and I had 3 thoughts: Peter Parker (Tom Holland) talking nerdy to me; Steve Rogers talking fluffy to me and Bucky Barnes talking dirty to me
For the record, Tom is the default Peter Parker I write for, though I have mad respect Toby as the OG, and I have a huge (probably unhealthy) crush on Andrew.
My ramblings aside, let's get to what you're actually interested in...
Peter:
- This man has to be one of the absolute dumbest smart people in the entire world.
- Brilliant enough to be part of Tony Stark's legacy... not a lick of common sense to think to unplug the toaster before he goes sticking a fork in it to try to fish out the toast that got stuck in there.
- Honestly, you're entire relationship with this man is just Phillipa Soo in the back of your mind: "The fact that you're alive is a miracle."
Steve:
- Everybody knows about Steve sketch book, and that he's started going through them twice as fast since he met you
- What people don't know about is the lock box of all his other doodles and other mementos of you and your relationship:
- Absent minded drawing on napkins or scrap paper when his mind wanders during meetings, ticket stubs from movie dates, he's even kept all the notes you've slipped into his lunch or gym bag
Bucky:
- While he was quite the charmer back in the day, Bucky was never really the serial romantic type. And dispite what Steve might have thought, he was hardly ever more than a flirt.
- Nowadays things are... a bit more complicated. But if he ever does get back to a point he's comfortable with that again, it's sort of like riding a bike - somethings you never forget.
- It's kind of like opening pandora's box though... He never realised how much he could miss and crave close personal contact with someone that was safe and not a life of death situation.

"So... Izuku..." Shinsou shook his head, making eye contact with himself in the mirror, too serious... He'd think something was wrong. "Hey, um Izuku! I need to tell you something..." Shinsou took a deep breath before returning to where he was rehearsing. "You are one of my best friends, one of the few people to believe in me, and so much more. I love you." No! He can't just say that out of the blue! "Izuku, I would not be the person I am today without you. Ever since that day at the beach... Um... I can't stop getting flustered when I think about you. Izuku, I think I have a crush on you." Shinsou winced when he said the last sentence, already imagining the worst possible outcome of outing his feelings.
--
Izuku, the ever dutiful friend quickly walked across the hall to the bathrooms. He and Shinsou were due to go to the movies together to see some new horror flick they'd been interested in. Shinsou had gone into the bathrooms almost half an hour ago. Did he not like Izuku anymore? What if he'd been hurt? Or got sick? Or just wanted to bail without telling him. Izuku had fully planned on asking Shinsou out to dinner after the movie too... What if he finally thought Izuku was weird? As he approached the door, Shinsou's ever lovely voice could be heard.
"Izuku, I think I have a crush on you." Was the first and last thing he heard beyond brief cursing about the time, as the door opened to reveal his crush, who seemed to process the new situation much faster than he had.
"you too, Hitoshi." The ever awkward Izuku said, his arm still raised from where he was about to knock. Both of their faces matched a bright red.
"Oh My Fuck." Was all Hitoshi could mutter for a solid minute.
"I do... Um... Actually really like you, Hitoshi. I thought you were out of my league."
"Me?? Out of your league? Hello? You literally look like Adonis's child, and you have the kindest heart I've ever seen."
"Yeah, but you're so.... Handsome, kind, funny, smart, and jeez... You have real pretty eyes." Izuku mumbled the last part.
"Hey! Gay and gayer. Epskay bathroomskay! Some people have to piss. Go on your little date and be gay there, at least then it isn't my problem." Bakugou grumbled, pushing past the pair for the bathroom.
"Ah, yeah, sorry Kacchan!" Izuku mumbled, grabbing Shinsou by the arm. He walked them outside, where Izuku's motorbike was waiting.
"So... Is this an official date now?" Shinsou asked as they got on the bike.
"...can it be?" Izuku rev'd the engine, leaning forward a bit.
"Yeah, I'd like that." Shinsou smiled as they pulled off.

my dad had a motorcycle for years. he bought it when he was 40. the guy who sold it to him gave him an incredible deal, on one condition: when you're finished with the bike, he said, don't sell it. bring it back to me. my dad is now in his 60s and recently retired and decided it was time. he rode to the guys house, which was far away, and dropped off the bike. the seller said he has thought of their promise many times over the years and wondered if the bike would ever come home. of course, they had no way of contacting one another. the seller has a daughter now who is of age to start riding. she's been asking about bikes. it was perfect timing for their family. the whole event reminded me that beautiful things can only happen if u offer them faith. i believe the true mark of street smarts is not in knowing which strangers NOT to trust, but in knowing which strangers TO trust, and offering it to them generously. it would be far too easy to universally rule out anyone who hasn't yet had the opportunity to prove their word. where is the wisdom in that?

It's not the small but with regular sized people like your son it looks like this and it only looks a little small on him it's not real big yet though lol and yeah it's a smaller frame it can hold 350 and because under duress and stuff it increases but if he gets bigger he's going to have to get a bigger one and they're not much money if you can get a hold of it we're going to sell a lot of you so he probably will
Tonight will probably be one or 200 areas and it's a mix foreigners and Mac might lose a few and clones below but they are not we're not really counting those you should but those areas go real quick a few thousand at a time and big ones whenever an area goes they go below with it

There's a fine line between love and hate.

Tumblr media
Angel was called into templo with you and the other MC members.
"How's it being engaged...."
"wifey for lifey"
Angel rolled his eyes "Real mature guys...no wonder you are all single" you chimed.
"Hey! I'm getting some on the regular.. "
"Vicki's girls don't count Gill..."
"when you've quite finished..." Bishop added with authority.
"Agents will wanna know y/n and Angel's story how you met ,how did he propose all that business. It's simple."
Hank continued on from Bishop. "The two of you met at the scrap yard when y/n came in looking for part for her car.... You two hit it off from the get go...."
"Angel you helped y/n with her car and finally asked her on a date & the rest is history."
"Got it. So where was our imaginary first date then?". Gilly and Coco looked at you. You shrugged your shoulders.
"Boy scout you are the most romantic..... Set the scene" Coco said.
"let's see....girls like beaches and sunsets and the stars..... Angel picked you up on his bike and he was late as usual. You didn't know what he planned for the date and wasn't happy you had to change outta the new dress you brought just for this date. Y/n still holds this against you. Anyway he took you too this secluded beach where he had laid out a picnic all your favourite foods , music the works. "
"some one watches way too many chick flicks" whispered Gilly to you.
You admitted to yourself that it sounded like a perfect first date to you. Simple but not overly soppy. "There's a reason he's the smart brother" you whispered back"
" I can hear you you know"
" My contact is mocking up some fake relationship photos to have around the house" Hank added.
You nodded. Taking everything in.
"So how did I propose to my fake girlfriend/fiancee who bugs the shit outta me".
"Mutual" you muttered back.
"Did you go all mushy eyed?"
" I can't do this with these ass hats about"
"Gilly , Coco this is serious. Shut the fuck up unless you wanna clean the toilets all week"
That soon shut the comedic duo up. Bishop and Taza wanted all patched members too be on the same page about this. If this went south all of you would be facing some serious jail time. The pressure was in to make it believable. Deep down you wanted it to be. But you knew Angel would never look twice at you..not that way anyway and it sucked. Because despite the apparent disdain between you both you had always had a crush on the biker.
"You proposed to me in the back garden of your house...simple but easy to remember" Angel nodded.
" So rings and shit? " Angel asked uncomfortably.
"leave that to me" Taza said.
Bishop turned to Angel. "You gotta start living together man. That is ok isn't it? None of us can afford for this to go south".
"what?! Her living in my house? C'mon man be fair!"
" Should I remind you that if it wasn't for y/n you've someone's bitch up in Stockton right now?"
"No...fine.... Just don't touch my shit...or eat my cereal.... "
"fine"
A day later you was moving the last of your stuff into Angel's spare room.
"Don't go in my room or..."
"touch your shit or eat my cereal" you mocked.
"it's bad enough that I see you at the club house but now my fucking house too. You're like a fucking disease that spreads everywhere"
"And you'd know all about spreading diseases now" you clapped back. Angel didn't reply just left you standing in the middle of the room.
It was Friday night which as usual there was a gathering at the club house. You say nursing a beer.
"Hey chin up sister in law" Ez joked.
"Not funny Ez.... why'd you have to get locked up? Least you wouldn't be such a dick weed to me about everything." Ez shrugged.
Just then Angel approached you and Ez. "I'll leave you two alone". With that Ez left you at the bar with Angel. "What? Can't you just leave me alone?"
"I was just coming too see if you was ok...and apologize for what I said to you earlier...ya know.... I didn't .. it was outta order."
"I didn't ask for this Angel. You don't have to do this but you agreed so please just leave me the fuck alone...unless it's for stuff relating to this sham.." you gestured between the two of you "I don't wanna talk to you."
"you know you really are an ungrateful bitch sometimes y/n"
"least I'm good at something"
"good chat. Later wife" he mocked.
"Fucking ass clown" you mumbled swigging your beer.
"trouble in paradise?" Taza asked as he handed you a simple gold engagement ring.
"Something like that. I don't get his pissy attitude it's like he's on his man period 24/7"
"Try cut him some slack...he's got a lot riding on this he doesn't wanna fuck it up"
"I'll try" you agreed " thanks pops" you smirked as you took the ring and put in your finger.
"my bad" you heard Coco's catch phrase to see him handing some scantily clad girl some napkins.
"She was all up in your man's stuff" he shrugged.
"her man? I dont think so."
" I'm his fiancée."
"fiancée?! You flashed the ring you hadn't realised just how right it felt. "Yeah now beat it"
Back at the house you was in your room watching TV scrolling through your social media. Angel knocked in the door. "The fuck do you want?"
"look I'm sorry okay. I didn't mean what I said last night. I just can't screw this up for the club."
You sighed. "I get it Angel, I do but words hurt"
"I know. Look I can say I'm sorry till I blue in the face but we gotta go get this damn marriage licence today."
"I'm driving"
And that folks is part 2! I have so many ideas for this !

Chapter Nineteen
Pairing: Mitsuya x Fem!Reader
Wicked Games Masterlist
MITSUYA'S P.O.V.
Ever since Hakkai returned back to my house, we've been waiting in silence to hear back from Y/N. The air is super tense; we're both obviously worried about her. However, all we can do for now is hope that she's alright.
We're both sitting across from each other, me on the couch and Hakkai sitting in the chair. I haven't been paying too much attention to what he's doing, quite honestly. I've got my phone in my hands, constantly turning it on and off as I wait for a call, text, or anything telling me that she's fine.
"Hey, uh, do you think Y/N's alright?" Hakkai quietly asks me out of nowhere.
Though I don't bother picking up my eyes from my phone, I nod to him. "Y/N is smart. She can take care of herself as long as she keeps her head clear."
"So you're not worried then?" he asks a bit cautiously.
Of course I'm fucking worried, did he not just hear what I said? She could get caught or hurt or maybe something even worse!
"Sure I'm worried," I respond as I turn my phone on and check for any new notifications. Nothing.
"Hmm... Okay."
"What's that for?" I huff.
"Nothing," he shakes his head. "I guess I'm still kinda confused. Why are you helping Y/N? You said you didn't want to interrupt Yuzuha's wedding so-"
"We both want to take Kisaki down," I reply bluntly.
"Sure, but, uh, why?" he continues to press.
"What's with all the damn questions?" I groan, a bit on edge. "We're doing this for your sister, you know. Shouldn't you understand that? It is why you're doing this, too, after all."
"So it has nothing to do with Y/N?"
At this point, I finally look up at Hakkai. Seriously, I have no idea why he keeps asking me all these damn repetitive questions. I do see that, for whatever reason, he looks genuinely determined to get some kind of answer out of me.
"No," I tell him. "I want to help Yuzuha and so does Y/N. Besides, she has feelings for Draken."
"I didn't say anything about-"
"Hakkai, Y/N was right. We can't just let Yuzuha marry some random guy from that sketchy ass gang who obviously doesn't have good intentions for her," I tell him. "We're doing the right thing."
After that, Hakkai seems to have nothing else to say to me. I look back down at my phone, frowning slightly when I see that she still hasn't messaged me. What the hell is taking so long?
"Something's wrong," I say to him. "She should have contacted us by now."
Hakkai sighs spiritlessly. "What should we do?"
"Go there."
He shakes his head and rolls his eyes, but agrees nonetheless. "We're going to get ourselves killed, but okay, let's go find out what's up."
I stand up and walk across the room to grab my keys. "Hopefully nothing's wrong and she's just taking her time but I'd rather be safe than sorry."
Hakkai's still quiet and follows me outside without a word. The two of us hop on our bikes and ride side by side to the club. When we get there, we hang out just around the corner giving us just enough room to see the entrance but also be hidden at the same time.
Just as we begin discussing the idea of going into the club, we see Y/N walk out hand in hand with Hanma. We back up a bit more, making sure to stay where neither of them can see. We still watch carefully, however, as he ushers Y/N onto the back of his bike and passes her an incredibly freaky grin as she wraps her arms around him and leans close, probably holding on for dear life. My fists tighten around my handlebars; I knew something was wrong.
"Let's follow them," I tell Hakkai as I rev my engine. "Don't let them get out of your view."
The two of us race off, maintaining a good distance away, but making sure we can see Y/N clearly. That asshole better not let her get hurt with how fast he's going. Seriously, where is he speeding off to in such a hurry?
Eventually, they stop outside this tall-looking construction building that hasn't been completed. We park our bikes across the street, making sure to hide them behind whatever crap we could find. In a hurry, we then dismount and run towards the building that Y/N and Hanma had just walked into.
We duck down just outside of an empty space in the wall that's meant for a window. We peek out, just enough to be able to look into the room. Inside we see a group of about twenty to thirty guys, their eyes all trained on Y/N and Hanma as he guides her across the room.
"Taka-chan, look, their jackets," Hakkai mumbles.
My eyes widen as I get a better look at the crowd and realize they're all wearing exact replicas of that Otsuda jacket we had seen in Yuzuha's room.
"Why the hell is she being brought straight to them?" Hakkai asks aloud as though he was talking to himself.
"She better be one hell of an actress," I quietly reply.
"It's either that or..."
Hakkai ducks back down and looks over at me with worry in his eyes. I bend down to his level and shake my head in disbelief. "No way. She's not one of them. We just have to trust her."
Hakkai glares at me worriedly again before peering back inside. When I do the same, I see that Hanma's slowly trailing his hands down Y/N's sides with a huge smirk on his face. My blood boils as I watch his lanky body bend down to the side of her face and lean in close enough to kiss her on the cheek just before casually whispering something into her ear as if he's done that a million times. As for Y/N, she just stands there and grins quietly back.
"I swear I'll kill him..." I accidentally mutter aloud.
"What?"
"What? Nothing, keep your voice down!"

Ice Cream Princess
Pairing: JJ Maybank x Reader
Summary: There isn't a day that JJ doesn't come to visit you at work. On the day he doesn't, you decide to visit him at work instead.
Word Count: 1,876
Note: A Stranger Things and Outer banks crossover imagine that no one asked for. Please give me feedback on anything but the title, I'm judging it and laughing at myself because of it. I hope you love it!
Tumblr media
An ice-cream parlor opens up across the street of The Wreck. The owner quickly judges all of the teenagers that come in looking for a part-time summer job. Luckily for you, your older cousin Robin sweet talks her way - agrees to watch his daughter- to get Hopper to hire you on the spot.
Your favorite co-worker is Steve. Both of you share stories and talk about anything and everything. You're weren't too surprised to find he hang outs with "lil punks".
He has a childish side that comes out when it's you two in the shop. If a touron gives you a weird feeling and tries to flirt with you, Steve takes over like a protective older brother. You started calling him mom when he bossed you around the first time.
Last night there was a party held by the Pogues at the Boneyard. When Robin's girlfriend texts you saying that she woke up with a hangover, you agree with her that it would be best if you cover her shrift.
When you get to the shop on your bike, you park it next to Steve car and cringe when the annoying front door bell rings as you enter. "I'm surprised to see your face this morning."
"Good or bad surprised, mom?" He rolls his eyes as you walk past him and pat his shoulder.
He yells, "the worst!" As you make your way to the small back room and put your backpack in your locker.
You grab the lanyard Pope gave to you and trace the lil doodles Kiara drew on your nametag.
Clocking in, you wave at Hopper through his open office window. He learns further in his chair, arms across his chest.
"You work too much."
"You don't pay me enough."
Humming to the radio that's connected to the speakers that hang from the ceiling, you look over Steve shoulder to see which Playlist he's playing.
You mutter, "I hate that thing" when the bell rings.
JJ is leading everyone, arms flaring around as he jumps on top of the counter. He bends one knee underneath his other leg to sit more comfortably sideways and grins at you.
"You're ass is going to break that and you'll have to pay for it."
"Are you telling me I have a fat ass?" He puts a hand over his heart and fakes cries. "That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me, Princess."
You shove him off, chuckling when he almost doesn't save his fall and trip over his own two feet.
"So dramatic like always and Y/N is still my name." You point down at your nametag. "Y/N. Not Princess."
"What do you guys want today?" Steve asks.
JJ glares at him but smirks when you pick up a scoop. He leans over the counter and says, "I'll like a lick of that."
You tell Pope thank you for slapping JJ in the back of the head, making his gray and red snapback fall off.
He runs his fingers through his hair and you barely catch it when throws it towards you.
"You would look better in it than that." He reaches over to tap on your uniform hat wear.
You blush at the hidden complaint and slap his hand away.
"Stop flirting." John B says as he hands over JJ his ice cream.
Kiara slightly pushes him towards the table, they always sit at.
Steve smirks as he leans against the counter. "Princess?"
In the corner of your eye, you see JJ giving himself whiplash. You know Steve is on a mission to find a nickname for you, especially something that you hate as much as he hates 'mom'.
But JJ doesn't. "It's a long story."
"I'll love to hear it someti-"
JJ claps his hands together as the chair slides across the floor as he stands up. "Once upon a time, little miss Y/N dressed up as a princess one Halloween. There was a picture of proof that her mother gladly showed me. Ever since, I've called her Princess and one day she'll call me her Prince. The end."
Sarah 'awwws' and says, "That's actually really adorable."
"Thank you, I know." JJ says proudly and you both smile at each other.
─────
During your next shift, it's only John B and JJ.
"Well hello there boys."
JJ takes off his sunglasses off slowly and puts his arm on the counter. "Princess."
You try not to pay attention to how good his arms look with his gray tank top.
You're the one who breaks eye contact. You don't miss the little fist pump he does but you miss how his shoulders drop when you look at him after seeing how panic John B looks.
Oh, right.
"We need to get the biggest bowl of Sarah's favorite ice cream. Her monthly came to visit and John B, the sweetheart idiot he is, doesn't remember her flavor."
You make 'o' shape with your mouth. "Got it. It's the end of the world for him. Well lucky for you, I know it."
John B screams out, "I owe you one" as he grabs the cup container from you and runs out to the Van.
JJ puts money in the tip jar. "From future Sarah."
After you watch him put his sunglasses back on and the door bell rings when the door closes, Robin pinches your leg.
"Are you going to start helping me again with this or am I going to have to restock everything myself?"
Blushing, you say, "I'm not Steve."
She stops laughing after a few seconds to say, "I bet you that JJ knows his Princess favorite ice cream flavor."
"Shut up."
─────
Pope, Kiara, and JJ all give you a pointed look when they stop by the shop before seeing a movie. The movie you agreed to go to one minute but then the next you said "wait sorry, I have to work." and hanged up on JJ.
"I'm about to drag you and your cute stubborn ass out of here for once and all, Princess."
Kiara has a hand on her hip, when she says, "You need to take a break."
You close your eyes and throw your head back, annoyed that she's right. "You guys know how much I need this job and the money."
A look of understanding crosses JJ's face but he straightens himself and says in a stern voice, "You are also supposed to have fun with your friends once a while."
"I know that!" He doesn't flinch at you raising your voice.
Thinking he's used to it, your heart and face fall.
"I- I'm sorry. How about we all hangout tomorrow at the Chateau and relax? Or we can do anything you guys want to do. Let John B and Sarah know and-"
JJ strides behind the counter and pulls you in a hug. No one words are needed when you shove your face against his chest and catch your breathing.
Pope puts a hand on his shoulder. "Come on, JJ. We're going to be late."
"You know what? I'm actually in the mood for ice cream not theater popcorn. Go on without me."
Kiara tells you both goodbye and Pope mouths "whipped" and does the wrapped around a finger hand's motion as she pulls him away.
You look up at JJ. "You didn't have to do that."
"Do what?" His cocky grin becomes bigger when you roll your eyes before helping a costumer. He leaves the counter to sit at the table, hands on the bottom of his chin as he does silly faces from behind the stranger's shoulder.
─────
Steve looks up when he hears the bell ring and watches as JJ loses his step.
Before he can walk away, Steve says, "She will be back shortly. I sent her to the bank real quick for more change."
JJ lets the door close behind him. He takes a big breath in as he turns around. "You trust her that much, huh?"
"Don't you?"
JJ lets out a dark laugh. "It's different. You get payed to see her, I do it because I want to."
That's Steve's breaking point. "Okay, I don't understand why or how you started hating me the first time you met me but I think I can get a wild guess why. A attractive, couple of years older comes into her life. You're jealous over nothing, dude. I see her as annoying little sister. And yeah, I get payed to do this shitty job but when she's working too, she makes it fun."
"Are you done?" JJ is looking at anything but him.
"One more thing, don't waste anymore time."
Steve looks at the clock on the wall and figures you'll be back any minute.
"I have to get to work." JJ looks over his shoulder.
He opens his mouth but changes his mind, and closes it and walks out.
On the other side of the sidewalk, he doesn't stop when you call out his name.
──────
"Funny seeing you're here."
JJ slams his tray down on the table next to yours. "I work here."
He stops wiping it down and gets the sudden urge to squirt you with the cleaning product bottle when he hears you tapping your feet against the chair across on of your table.
When he looks around and notices there aren't a lot of people in the dinner room he sits down and huffs and puffs. "Why are you here?"
"What? You can come visit me at work but I can't?"
When you both notice another bus boy, you let JJ grab the nearest glass pitcher and pull you some water.
"Now you can't walk away and ignore me, like how you did a couple of hours ago."
"I'm sure Steve told you all about it." The biter in his voice makes you lean over the table to grab his hand.
He jumps but doesn't pull away.
"He told me that you came in the shop, you looked like a little lost puppy when you made eye contact with him instead of me. You guys actually had somewhat of a conversation, which, I'm surprised actually happened."
JJ smiles a little as you start spinning one of his rings. "Steve didn't tell me what it was about...at first."
JJ can't sit still.
He stands up and as he talks, he walks in pace. "He, he uh- shit. Fuck, okay. He got in my head. I couldn't talk to you cause I didn't want to say something that would ruin our friendship. I didn't even know how I would say it-to be honest, still don't but you're smart, I think you know where am I going with this-"
He stops talking, mid-sentence when you laugh. "JJ, just say it or I'll crush your ego by saying it first."
"I love you." He says it over and over again in the middle of the kisses after you say it back.
He stops when someone yells his name and tells him to get back to work.
You give him a quick peak and have to put your hands on top of his to move them off of your hips.
"I'll see you later, JJ. We can go watch a movie?"
"Sounds like a date, Princess."

You're Back!
The Lost Boys x reader
Warnings: vague mentions of death
Context: This is supposed to be a kind of crossover between Top Gun and The Lost Boys (because they are my favourite films) but it is only minorly so. The reader is a naval fighter pilot who is good friends with the boys and spends most of her free time in Santa Carla with them.
A/N: This hasn't turned out too well, because I'm ridiculously sleep deprived tired, so I will revisit it at some point, whether to rewrite it completely or to add to it, I'm not sure, but I will improve it. For now, I hope this is acceptable.💛😊
**contains some spoilers for Top Gun, but only vague ones**

Tumblr media
I roll my eyes as yet another person stares at me as they pass, keeping eye contact with them until they stop looking, turning their gaze away awkwardly, carrying on with their night without watching me for the entirety of it. By now, I've had to sit through about a score of curious people in the last two hours, my tolerance for them quickly wearing thin as they continue to eye the uniformed stranger leaning against a motorcycle. Chewing on my lip, a habit I've never managed to kick, I carefully roll up the sleeves of my military uniform shirt, careful not to crease it too much, even though I will likely iron it before I wear it again, the hard-learnt instincts reminding me to stay smart and neat, even if I'm currently not in the presence of any commanders I need to report to.
In the stifling heat, my shirt sticks to my skin a bit, sweat coating my brow as I watch the crowd, my hair starting to become less styled and more dishevelled with each passing minute, the journey from the aircraft carrier I was deployed at to the airport in Miramar, followed by the gruelling motorcycle ride down to Santa Carla having that effect in me. I didn't have time to stop off anywhere on the way to get changed into my own clothes, seeing as I wanted to get to the little seaside town before sundown, choosing instead to stay in my uncomfortable uniform, knowing it may well curry me some favours here and there along the way - bartenders are only too happy to serve a member of the naval air force, especially a Top Gun graduate. Absentmindedly I feel my lips quirk up into a smile, recalling the time my friend, Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, used this fact to his advantage when in Miramar, charming a poor waitress into giving us all free food and drinks, though I'm pretty sure he promised her something in return, something which kept him out of the bunk rooms that night. Ironically, he never used that trick again.
Shaking my head, I cast my gaze over the crowd again, searching for a particular group of people, a sense of excitement rising in me when I hear the tell tale sound of their motorcycles cutting through the horde of people, my eyes swiftly finding the approaching people as they park their vehicles a little way away from me. Making a split second decision, I choose to stay by my own bike, waiting for them to either notice me, or walk past, a small smirk plastered across my lips, my eyes fixed on them: David, Dwayne, Paul and Marko.
Eventually, they push off their bikes and start making their way through the crowd, having missed my presence completely, the four of them easily moving amongst the people lining the Boardwalk, most sane locals knowing the group's notorious reputation. David and Dwayne walk ahead of Paul and Marko, who are pushing and shoving each other around, giggling and laughing to themselves as a band of girls squeals when the smaller of the two is thrown straight into their midst, drawing some attention from the people around them, though they have yet to notice me. Crossing my arms over my chest, I just watch as they move together, eyeing them as they come into range before looking around for something, quickly finding a discarded newspaper on the wall behind my motorbike. Smirking wider, I take it and tear off three pages, screwing them into a tight ball, my gaze returning to the approaching bikers, guaging the distance between me and them, knowing I have a very good aim, having practiced it a lot before and during training. Winding back my arm, I take aim and throw the ball, giving it some force so that the intended target will manage to feel it under his mess of hair, trying mg hardest to contain my laughter when the projectile connects with the back of his head.
Paul instantly looks around, irritation and confusion rife in his face as he searches the crowd for his assailant, still missing me, even as I throw another ball of paper, though this one is aimed for Marko, who also receives it as a blow to the back of the head. Disgruntled, the two vampires stop, looking around for the source, drawing David and Dwayne's attention as they realise their friends are no longer following them. Biting my lip, I throw another two, hitting both of the quieter boys square in the back, trying my hardest to hold back my laughter, though I am unsuccessful as they continue to search around, heads whipping to and fro as they try to work out where I am, the crowd of people around them starting to leave a berth around them, leaving their view of me unblocked and clear. Finally, I decide to put them put of their misery.
"Damn, I thought you guys were observant." I call out to them, tossing another ball of newspaper from hand to hand to show who the culprit was. Surprised, and somewhat shocked, the four of them spin around, their faces lighting up when they catch sight of me, Paul and Marko instantly racing over and engulfing me in a tight hug.
"(Y/n)! You're back!" The latter exclaims happily, pulling away briefly to look me in the eye before he buries his face into my clothes again.
"I am. It's good to see you all!" I respond, laughing as I wrap my arms around them, glad to finally get to see them again after so long. Over their heads, Dwayne and David shoot me equally glad smiles, the former ready to step in once the other two have released me.
"Not nearly as good as it is to see you again! I hate it when you leave!" Paul mumbles into my shirt, Marko agreeing with him as they continue to crush me.
"I hate leaving, too, but I always come back." I remind them, patting them on the back so that they'll release me, smiling at both of them as they grudgingly step away, allowing Dwayne to step in and pull me into a softer embrace, his long arms pressing me into his bare chest, his face burying itself into my hairline. Happily, I wrap my own arms around his waist, enjoying the sensation of his cool skin against my heated body, jealous of his pleasant temperature.
After a few minutes, I pull away again, looking to David, who just smiles (genuinely for once) at me, his intimidating reputation preventing him from showing any affection in public, though he isn't really one for hugs in private, either. Or, at least not with me. Instead, he gives my body a once over with his icy blue eyes, the gesture drawing a blush to my cheeks, especially when I feel the others do the same, some more discreetly than others - unfortunately, I'd managed to develop a crush on all four of them, so the idea of them blatantly checking me out is not one I dismiss too easily.
"It's good to see you again, (Y/n)." He greets, chuckling as he watches Marko and Paul fight over who gets to put their arm around my waist, only for the both of them to whine when Dwayne beats them to it, the taller brunette pulling me into his side with an intimacy he's never had before.
"Yeah, it's good to be back." I agree, smiling at them all, "What're we gonna do tonight? I have three weeks this time round."
"Three weeks? That's much longer than last time!" Paul comments, slipping in on my other side, slinging his arm around my shoulders so that I'm now sandwiched between two tall vampires.
"I don't have to stay that long." I point out, jokingly, sending Marko an apologetic look when he notices that Paul has managed to get his arm around me.
"That's not what I meant, it means that we can do so much more together!" The tall, blonde vampire explains, most likely already thinking up ways to spend the next three weeks, "We should go swimming in the sea, and go on all the rides on the Boardwalk, and go to concerts-"
"Take it easy, I only just got here!" I cut him off, grinning as David and Dwayne chuckle at their friend's antics.
"Speaking of which, have you eaten yet?" The platinum blonde interjects, lifting an eyebrow at me in curiosity.
"No, I don't have any money on me, actually. I think I left it back on the carrier, which is annoying." I frown, thinking for a minute before remembering something, "No, that's not true. I brought some of it with me. It's in the seat compartment of the bike, hang on."
Swiftly, I retrieve the money, returning to the two vampires who had their arms around me, both of them only to eager to repeat the gestures.
"You should know by now that you don't have to pay for food when you're with us." David reminds me, lifting an eyebrow at me as he watches me put the notes into a secure pocket under my belt.
"I know, but I like having it with me anyway." I supply, only too happy to start walking towards the food stalls of the Boardwalk, my stomach growling audibly as the scents of the different types reach me.
"Fair enough." Dwayne says, squeezing my waist gently.
In no time, we've bought some food and eaten it, continuing to roam the Boardwalk as the night goes on, the five of us having a good time together as we always do, falling straight back into our usual habits and patterns, the friendship as strong as ever, though I've noticed that their touches are often more lingering than before, and that they're stares are less innocent than they used to be. I try to ignore it, but it becomes increasingly harder as Paul and Marko continue to fight over who gets to wrap their arm around me, eventually just agreeing to swap every half and hour or so, Dwayne never leaving my side as David leads us around, the vampire smirking at me every now and then.
After a few hours or so, I feel myself starting to get tired, having had very little rest in the time between travelling and meeting the boys, so I ask them if I can join them at the cave, seeing as I have no other accommodation, to which they all wholeheartedly agree. Leading me back to the motorcycles, the four vampires quickly decide whether to take the road or the beach back to the sunken hotel, swiftly deciding on the road seeing as it is the most direct, and therefore the quickest, though David does promise that we'll ride along the beach at some point.
As we leave the Boardwalk, I ride towards the back, between Marko and Dwayne, easily keeping up as we thunder along one of the motorways, shrieks and whoops of exhilaration leaving us from the thrill, our speed dangerously high until we hit the dirt paths leading up to the Bluff, at which point I slow my bike down so that it can grip the dusty surface better. Ahead of me, Paul tries to goad me on, encouraging me to live a little, though my heightened survival instincts are telling me to be careful along the steep cliff edge. Coming to a halt at the top, we dismount and hide the motorbikes, the four of them swiftly taking me down into their abode, though I do collect a bag from the compartment under my seat before following, sitting it down on the sofa beside me as I collapse onto one, routing around in it briefly.
I pull out a slightly scuffed book, throwing it to David as he comes to sit opposite me on his wheelchair, the others crowding around him to look at it in curiosity.
"Got you guys a little something." I tell them, gesturing to him to open it.
Upon doing so, their eyes widen, Marko's breath hitching as he sees what it is, the young vampire obviously fascinated by it.
"When did you get these?" Dwayne finally manages, unable to tear his eyes from the photo album in David's hands, admiring the Polaroids I stuck into it, thinking they'd be happy to look at them.
"Well, I had my RIO* bring a camera up with him one time when we were on patrol, but I took the pictures. I thought you'd like to have some pictures of the sky in the daytime and at sunset and sunrise to look at, seeing as you can't see them in person anymore." I explain nervously, hoping they like it, suddenly feeling a bit unsure of whether they'd like to be reminded of this fact.
For near enough ten minutes, the four vampires are silent, flicking through the book with wide eyes, David tracing a finger over one in particular.
"How the hell are we supposed to thank you for this, kitten?" He finally says, the nickname making me blush a little, though I'm not entirely sure how to respond.
"You don't have to thank me for that, it's not that great of a gift, on the scale of things-" I start, only to be cut off by Marko.
""Not that great of a gift"? Are you serious? This is the best thing we've ever gotten!" He exclaims, tearing his eyes away from the photos so that he can come over and drown me in a hug again, crushing me into his chest. Laughing, I wrap my arms around him, holding him tightly, inhaling the comforting scent of his jacket as I do so.
Across from us, Paul also manages to look away from the Polaroids, coming over and joining us on the sofa, a grin on his face as he plonks himself on top of Marko, a grunt escaping me from the sudden weight.
"You're the best, (Y/n), you really are!" He praises me, leaning down to press a swift kiss on my cheek, smirking when I blush in response.
"I'm not sure about that, but thank you anyway." I wheeze out, their weight starting to become a bit too much for be to bear. Tapping on Marko's back, I wait for him to throw Paul off before pushing him off of my lap, taking a deep breath as I look over at Dwayne and David, who are still enraptured by the photo album.
"Who's that?" The latter suddenly asks, pointing to a certain picture.
Frowning, I get up and come over, looking down at the picture in question, smiling as I recognise it immediately, the image holding a lot of sad and happy memories for me.
"Those are my friends Maverick and Goose before..." My voice trails off, an old surge of grief gnawing at my heart as I recall the exact moment that photo was taken, remembering the aviators as they joked around with me and my RIO, Hawk, all four of us only staying still for that one photo.
"Before?" Dwayne pushes gently, dark eyes boring into mine with curiosity.
Clenching my jaw, I let out a sigh before I reply.
"Before the accident. The accident where Goose...died..." I manage to get out, my eyes now fixed on the miniature version of my friend's face, still wishing he were still alive and kicking.
"I'm sorry, (Y/n), I didn't mean to bring it up. If I had known, I wouldn't have said anything." David apologises, placing a gloved hand on mine in comfort, blue eyes sympathetic.
"No, don't worry about it. It's what happens in the military, and it just so happens to be that my friend got it in the neck. There's nothing that can be done." I tell him, grateful that they haven't pursued the subject, though the reminder has made me feel a lot more tired than before, for whatever reason, "I think I'm gonna go get some sleep now, if you don't mind. It's been a long day."
The four of them agree, Paul, Marko and Dwayne all pressing quick kisses on my cheek as I pass them, David following me to the little nest that they provided for me the last time I was here, the vampire watching as I settle in. I only take off my boots, socks and belt, unpinning my Wings from my chest as I go, briefly debating with myself about whether or not to unbutton my shirt and just sleep in my underwear, until I remember that David is still there, his blue eyes tracing my form as I move around.
Finally slipping into the makeshift bed, I notice that the vampire still hasn't moved away, watching me as if asking for permission to do something, my mind struggling to comprehend what he means until I see him look at the blankets questioningly.
"Do you want to join me?" I ask, surprise lacing my voice.
"If you don't mind."
I can't refuse him, so I simply move over and let him slide in beside me, feeling even more surprised when he pulls me into his chest, wrapping his arms around me and rubbing circles into my skin with one thumb. A small gasp escapes me when I feel his hand slip under my shirt, his skin icy cold against mine, the sensation pleasant as starts to trace patterns into my sides, his eyes boring into mine as I watch him, still confused.
"What's gotten into you?" I question him, laying my head on his chest, my hands coming up to rest just on his collarbone, my fingers running over the line of the bone.
"Nothing, I just need to tell you something which might not be the greatest news you've ever heard." He tries to reassure me, his deep voice resonating though his chest and into me as he watches my facial expressions change.
"What is it?" I ask him hesitantly, dread biting at the back of my throat.
"Well, I don't suppose you remember us telling you about the whole idea of vampires having a mate?"
"...Yeah?" I frown slightly, briefly remembering the conversation.
"It turns out that the four of us have a mate, and it's taken us far too long to feel the connection." David confirms, swallowing at the confession.
"Oh really? Who is it?' I can't help but feel a bit disappointed, knowing that the mating bond makes the four of them off-limits to anyone else.
"You. You're our mate."
