Pairing: Kaminari x Fem!Reader
Null & Void
After saying your goodbyes to the others, Sen leads you and Kaminari to the scrapyard beside the rundown theater where Setsuna works. He had explained to the two of you that this is the way she gets to the next faction over when she goes to visit her boyfriend.
You couldn't help but feel the tension as Sen talked about Setsuna's boyfriend, especially after knowing what you had caught him doing the evening before. Obviously, Kaminari hasn't a clue about it.
At the scrapyard, Sen leads you to a rust-colored car and slides into the passenger seat. You look around, making sure nobody else is around to spot the three of you where you shouldn't be. It is the late morning, after all.
A minute later, Sen tosses the keys over to Kaminari with a defeated sigh. "I don't know, man. She always gets it to start but I can't figure the thing out."
"It's alright," Kaminari shakes his head to brush off the worry. "I'm practically built to jumpstart a car. It'll be easy. Y/N, get in the car."
"What am I, your dog?" you raise your eyebrow as you do as he asks.
"Come on," he chuckles as he leans across the seats and pushes open the driver's door for you.
"Fine," you groan as you reluctantly get into the car.
"Now, you remember which roads, right?" Sen asks as he leans against the door of the car.
"Yeah," Kaminari nods. "We'll be good. Thanks for taking us out here, man."
"No problem," he waves. "Now, get out of here before the security finds us."
Sen salutes Kaminari before walking off. Kaminari then sighs as he takes in the interior of the car. You watch as he begins ripping some of the wiring out and bundling the ends into a fine point. "Ready?" he then smirks over at you.
"Yeah," you answer monotoned, still a bit worried.
"Here goes nothing," he mumbles, placing the wire into his mouth. "Wait, where'd I put the keys?"
With a sigh, you grab it from the cupholder and place it into the ignition. However, just as you do, an electric shock sends you into a daze. You fall back against the seat, not even aware of what's happening.
"Oh, shit," Kaminari mumbles. "Y/N, are you alright? Y/N?"
You look over at him with your lips parting. You can hardly breathe and no words form from your mouth.
"Fuck, shit, shit!" Kaminari begins cursing to himself as he quickly puts the wires down and leans over you to check your pulse. His body so close to your own makes your skin feel like it's on fire, but it's not the kind you'd enjoy. This asshole electrocuted you again.
Your pulse must have been very weak because Kaminari begins to freak out even more than he was before. He walks around to your side of the car, pulls you out, and drags you onto a large piece of wood where he lays you flat on your back.
You hardly know what's happening as he rolls up your sleeves and checks your hands and arms for burns. "Jesus, why am I such a fucking idiot," he mutters.
You're still in a haze and your limbs are completely limp as Kaminari checks your heartbeat again. This time, however, he does it by placing his ear to your chest. The gesture is intimate, yet it's the farthest thing from your mind right now.
"Shit, Y/N, can you hear me?" he calls out to you.
You can hardly make a noise in response.
"Okay, I'm going to look in the car for a... a first aid kid or something. I'll be right back!"
When he runs off, it feels like hours before he returns to your side. Quickly, he places a blanket over your body and kneels at your side once more. "I found some painkillers and lotion in the car. I don't really, uh, know why Setsuna has this stuff in her car but I figured it'd help. Here, sit up a little."
Kaminari then reaches around your back and helps lift your head and shoulders off the ground. With a sigh, he pulls the cap off of the bottle of pills and pours a few into his hand. He then lifts his water bottle to your lips and waits patiently as you swallow them.
"There," he breathes. "Now, um, let's see." Kaminari puts the bottle down, but holds onto the bottle of lotion. "You've got a few burns on your..." he mutters to himself as you sit yourself up a bit more. "Shit, I'm so sorry, Y/N."
When you look down at your arm, the sight nearly causes you to pass out again. All of this from trying to start a goddamn car? Is this some kind of omen telling you to call off your plan?
"I'm just going to apply some of this, okay? It'll take some of the pain away, I promise," he tells you.
"Okay," is all you manage to say as Kaminari takes it upon himself to pour some of his water on your burned skin and carefully rub in the cream.
"I'm so sorry," he sighs.
"It's alright," you groan.
"It's really not," he shakes his head. "I'll try and be more careful from now on."
"It's not your fault," you groan, "that your quirk sucks."
"Man, you've always got some kind of fucking comment, huh?" he scoffs.
"I've been told it's endearing," you lie, biting your lip as the stinging intensifies.
"Right," he rolls his eyes. "There, is that better?"
"Yeah," you sigh, laying back down to catch your breath again.
Kaminari stands up and walks back to the car. You watch him as he gets inside and rests his forehead on the steering wheel, catching his breath, too. Maybe you shouldn't have said that.
Slowly, you sit up and make your way back to the car. You sit in the passenger seat and shut the door behind you. "I'm sorry, Kaminari," you then mutter.
"You don't have anything to be sorry for," he waves it off. "You could have died and it would have been my fault."
"Maybe we should, uh, get going now."
Kaminari picks his head up and looks down at your burnt arm. "We should wrap it, first."
"I'll do it," you reply as you rip the sleeve off of your shirt. "You just drive."
"Okay," he nods quietly, and gets the car to start.
∿*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣𐦍*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣∿
The two of you sit in silence for the longest time until you arrive at a cafe in what Kaminari tells you must be the sixth faction because he has never seen it before.
"Really?" you question him, "but where are the checkpoints?"
"What are you talking about?" he asks, pulling into the parking lot. "There aren't any stations between factions, Y/N. Just between the seventh and eighth."
"That can't be right," you shake your head, remembering the time when you and Stain had talked about your route to the fourth. You didn't realize it before, but he never mentioned checkpoints. "But what about the inter-faction permits being made?"
"Yeah, well, apparently someone in the fifth has been helping people get in and out of the eighth, apparently. It's only really a big deal because they don't want quells getting out," he admits to you.
"Do you not get in trouble for being in other factions?" you then ask.
Kaminari grins. "Only if we get caught."
You smile back at him, his energy rubbing off on you a bit. "Well, what are we doing here, then?" you ask after a brief moment.
"Getting food," he explains. "I'm not eating the crap Setsuna has in here."
The two of you then get out of the car and head toward the front door. However, before you can manage a step, a monster runs towards you and pins you between it and the car. You gasp as the wind is knocked out of you, but it looks like the monster is having a tougher time, panicking at the sight of you alone.
"Hey!" Kaminari shouts, grabbing the monster by its arm and sending an electric shock through it. The creature roars and stumbles backwards. Quickly, Kaminari grabs you by your good arm and pulls you against his chest, ready to run. "Are you alright?" he pants, looking down at you. "Shit, I really must've electrocuted you before because I know you're tougher than that."
"Oh fuck off," you roll your eyes as you push him off. You then walk inside the cafe alone, leaving Kaminari confused outside with the creature.
Inside, a kind waitress with horns leads you to a table and hands you a menu. You thank her before looking down at it and hiding your burning face. You hate the way Kaminari can so easily get you flustered. You just met the guy yesterday but he's already got your heart racing.
The next time you look up, someone is sliding into the opposite side of your booth. Your eyes widen as you watch Kaminari and the monster from outside look at you with cheesy grins. "What the fuck?" you mutter.
"Y/N," Kaminari says calmly, anticipating your overreaction, "this is Jurota. He's had a bit too much to drink so I thought he could use some food, too." He then leans closer to you and whispers, "Also, we shouldn't use our money here just in case."
"Ahh, okay," you smile softly at Jurota as Kaminari sits back down properly. "Are you feeling alright, Jurota?"
"I feel so confused," he shakes his head. "You were in her car but you're not her."
"You mean Setsuna?" you hum, looking between him and Kaminari for clarification.
"She's my girlfriend. I haven't seen her in a week and I don't know if she's okay or not. It's so scary!"
"He was just asking the waitress about her. She apparently comes here often," Kaminari explains to you.
"Oh, well, uh, actually I saw her yesterday," you gulp, earning an odd look from Kaminari. "Yeah, she's got green hair, right?"
"Yes!" Jurota practically cries.
"Well, um, she seemed fine, I guess."
"Really?!" he jumps up in his seat.
"Yeah," you nod slowly, "but I haven't seen her since."
"She's actually busy doing us a favor," Kaminari chimes in. He then whispers in Jurota's ear what you presume is the truth about Setsuna looking for recruits in the seventh.
"Oh!" he gasps. "So you two aren't from here. You know, if you're trying to get permits, I heard there are two girls in the fifth who can help you out."
"Permits would be helpful," you shrug as you look at Kaminari.
"But not anywhere near where we are right now," he shakes his head.
"Well, what if I bring you to my friend," Jurota says, looking hopeful, "I think he knows how to get to the fifth from here."
You and Kaminari can't help but smile from ear to ear at your luck. "Well that would be just great," Kaminari beams, patting Jurota on the back, "We'd totally appreciate that."

FACTION 6
Inside Ojiro's condo, Jurota sobs over a glass of whiskey. "She's dead, I know it," he cries.
"It's not that simple, Juro," Ojiro sighs, shaking his head. "Just calm down. You're going to make yourself sick. I really think you should stop drinking..."
"I haven't seen her in a week," he continues, ignoring his friend's pleas. "Are we even still dating?!"
Ojiro sighs as he leans over his island counter and carefully pulls the glass out of his friend's hands. He can still hear the sobbing, however, as he empties the contents into the sink and hides the bottle in a high cupboard.
"I'm sure she's just fine," he then sighs. But when he turns back around, he's surprised to see a Polaroid now replacing where the whiskey previously was. "Dude, you're going to ruin that by crying all over it."
It's a nice picture, too. Jurota's girlfriend has beautiful green hair and eyes which makes her immediately recognizable. "Look, we don't even know for sure that she's gone. Why don't you try calling her and see if you can find anything out," Ojiro suggests, trying to keep his friend's spirits up.
"It's so hard," Jurota cries out.
"Taking out your phone?"
"Of course not," he groans. "I meant being in a relationship with a girl from another faction. Everything has to be a secret but I love her, Ojiro, I really do!"
"I know, man," Ojiro pats his friend's back. "Just give her a call, okay?"
"I'll go," he finally agrees, rising to his feet. "I'll do it outside. Be right back."
"Don't go anywhere, Juro!" Ojiro shouts as he watches his friend put on his shoes clumsily. "Stay right outside, call her, and come in, okay?"
"Uh-huh," he waves his hand before reaching for the doorknob. Jurota has no intention of calling Setsuna. Instead, he'll just go out and look for her.

Y/N'S P.O.V.
The next morning you wake up to the man with red sunglasses leaning over you. With a yelp, you sit up and crash your forehead right into his. "Ow," you groan. "What the hell?!"
"Hey, I didn't mean to scare you," he holds his hand up defensively. "I was just trying to wake you up for breakfast."
You rub your head and swing your feet around the side of the bunk, not even responding to him.
"My name is Aoyama, by the way," he offers you a smile.
"Cool," you grumble as you rise to your feet.
"We made breakfast," he nods his head toward the low, stone table in the center of the room.
"We?" you raise your eyebrow.
"Sen, myself, and Uraraka," he explains as he leads you across the room. "Well, Mina and Kaminari tried, too, but Sen said they weren't allowed near the kitchen anymore."
"Where's Kendo?" you look around as he guides you toward the table.
"Uraraka took her to the bathroom," Mina smiles as you sit beside her.
"Oh, okay," you nod before looking down at the food placed before you. A few poached eggs, tomatoes, and rice. You note that it's much better than what you were served in prison.
"Sorry we don't have a lot," Sen sighs as he passes out a small portion for himself.
"Are you kidding?" you quickly shake your head. "This is so much better."
"Oh, yeah," Mina hums, looking up at you. "Prison food is supposed to be pretty bad. I bet it's really depressing, too."
"Mina, don't say that!" Kaminari nearly chokes on his food at her comment.
"No, no, it's cool," you shake your head.
"So, uh, are you really planning on heading into the fourth alone today?" Sen then asks you.
"Oh, uh, yeah. I don't think Kendo wants to go and I don't want to make her either," you explain, noticing the way they all share a look as though there's some big secret they're keeping from you.
Just then, Kaminari excuses himself from the table, cleans up his plate, and heads up to the club.
"What's going on?" you ask the others still nearby.
"We're not as big of a group as the fourth," Sen sighs, "but we figured that now would be a good time to start recruiting more people."
"That way we could be of help to faction four when they start to make their move," Uraraka adds as she and Kendo walk down the stairs. "So we figured it'd be smart to have Kaminari go with you to build a relationship with them."
"What?" you look at her like she's grown three heads. "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."
"Why?" she frowns.
"Hopping factions could get him killed, are you really okay with that?"
"I don't know, Y/N, should we really double our numbers when you try to beat up the Prime Minister or whatever it is you're planning on doing?" Kendo huffs before shoving a spoonful of rice into her mouth.
"Please," Mina chimes in. "You'll need us when we make any kind of move. There's power in numbers."
You sigh at their words, thinking they sound just like Chizome. "So do you all want to come with us, too?" you then ask. However, they all fall quiet.
"We can't," Uraraka sighs.
"Why not?" you furrow your eyebrows.
"Because we have jobs," Sen explains. "Jobs that'll report us if we go missing. But if it was Kaminari, we could just cover for him and do our best to spread the news while he's gone."
"And I'm guessing Kaminari isn't exactly on board with this either, is he?"
"Well..." Uraraka trails off.
"We were hoping you could talk to him," Mina finishes for her, chewing the inside of her cheek. "This is important."
"Yeah, I get it," you nod. "I'll talk to him."
"Oh, good," Mina smiles, obviously pleased.
You take your time finishing up your meal, trying to think up what you are going to say. You had no idea you'd be getting mixed into this sort of mess. Convincing a random stranger to travel all the way to faction 4? What a joke.
You sigh and push your plate forward. "Well, I guess it's time to get this over with," you mutter.
"Good luck," Kendo calls after you as you stand to your feet and head toward the stairs. You wave her off as you climb, hoping this goes over well.
However, the moment you enter the club, you find yourself staring at Kaminari's back. His blonde hair is a bit messy and his hands are shoved into his pockets. If this were any other situation, you'd probably find him handsome and charming. But right now, all you can focus on is the fact that this is the same guy who knocked you out just last night. And now you've got to convince him to hang around you even longer.
"Hey," you greet him cautiously. "Think I could get a drink?"
When he turns around, he slings a rag over his shoulder and flashes you a grin. "It's nine a.m., Y/N," he chuckles. "Besides, I'm not going to give alcohol to someone who was knocked unconscious yesterday."
"I wasn't drunk," you defend yourself. "But it was your fault anyway, remember?"
"Ah, don't remind me," he rolls his eyes. "What can I get you, anyway? Water? Soda?"
"Water's fine," you shrug as you watch him pull out a glass and fill it with the water spigot on the wall. When he turns back to you, there's a different expression on his face.
"Look," he starts, "I know I'm probably the last person you want to talk to about this, but I think you're going to have to put up with me for a bit longer than you were hoping for."
"Oh, good, so I don't need to convince you then," you sigh.
"No," he shakes his head. "I know the others want me to go. And I know I'm the only one who really can, anyway. Besides, it isn't right to make you go by yourself."
"Are you sure? I mean, it'll be a long journey, and you probably won't be back for a while," you point out. "I don't want you to regret it."
"My friends will cover for me while I'm gone," he shrugs.
"We sure will!" Mina grins as she approaches the two of you at the bar with Uraraka. Kendo sits down on the opposite side of you, too.
"Hey," you smile at her.
"I'm going to stay, too. I'll help the others here while you and Kaminari are gone," Kendo tells you.
"Really?" you and Kaminari say together.
"Are you sure, Ken?" you whisper softly. "I don't know how long I'll be gone for."
"Don't worry about it, Y/N. It's not like I can go home and this place is pretty cool. Plus, the others here are really nice."
You can't help but feel a bit better about everything at the sight of Kendo's smile. At least she'll be okay here. "Well, I suppose we should get ready to go, then."
"Right," Kaminari nods, turning his attention back to his bar.
"Kaminari?" you then suddenly stop him.
"Yeah?"
"Bring a bottle of whatever you think is strongest, okay?"
"Alright," he grins, doing as you say.
"Good," you nod as you walk away.
"What was that for?" Uraraka asks curiously.
"In case they have a bad day or something," Sen laughs. "By the way, I'll talk to Setsuna and she'll help with recruitment as quietly as possible."
"I still can't believe this is actually happening," Kendo sighs as she watches her friend walk away. "I hope she knows what she's doing."
"I could say the same for poor Kaminari," Mina shakes her head. "He'll either come back in a coffin or with a girlfriend."
Kendo laughs a little at that, but then her smile fades. "I can't help but worry."
"We'll do our best, Kendo. And when they get back, we'll have a great big celebration," Uraraka grins. "Trust me, she's in good hands."
"Yeah," Sen nods in agreement.
"Okay," Kendo agrees, taking a deep breath. "I trust you guys."

Pairing: Various MHA x Fem!Reader
Dear Departure
"I wish things were different," Y/N mumbles, taking a deep breath.
"What things?" a voice interrupts.
Y/N looks over to find Sero staring at her only a few feet away.
"How long have you been there?" she asks, wiping away the last of her tears.
"Not too long," Sero replies.
"And how much did you hear?"
"Nothing, really. I just got here. Are you alright? I saw you rush out here," he asks.
"I'm fine," she nods.
"You sure?"
"Yeah," she sighs, but he doesn't accept that answer. Instead, he walks up to her and pulls her into a hug. How could she have been such a jerk to Sero all night? He's never been anything but kind to her and everyone else.
"So, what happened back there?" he asks as he lets her out of his grasp.
Y/N sits down on the front steps of the dorm and buries her head in her hands.
"I'm not sure I can talk about it," she admits.
"Well, I'm all ears, if you change your mind," he smiles.
"Could we just sit here for a minute first?" she then mutters.
When he agrees, she picks up her head and places it on his shoulder. She stares straight ahead, watching the grass move with the breeze.
"I can't believe we're graduating tomorrow," she sighs.
"Neither can I," Sero chuckles.
"Have you ever thought about what's next?" she then asks him.
"Well, I've got a few things in mind," he answers, smiling slightly.
"What are they?"
"Well, I guess, there's this girl. And a hero agency," he admits to her.
"That sounds fun," she smiles.
"What about you?"
"I... I've thought about it a lot. But... I almost feel like I'm sinking in my own blood. I mean, my dad wants me to work at a hero agency with some of his friends nearby, but I thought if I made the right connections, I could put myself in an even better situation. Turns out all I've been doing is making bad decisions," she begins to ramble.
"Y/N," Sero sighs, placing his hand on hers.
"I know. I know I've messed everything up," she whispers, not wanting to start crying again.
"What are you talking about? You are one of the smartest, funniest, most talented people I've ever met. And anyone who doesn't see that is an idiot."
"Really?" she looks up at him, tears glistening in her eyes. He smiles and uses the back of his pointer finger to wipe her tears away.
"Really," he reassures her. "You've got this. I promise."
"You're too sweet, Sero," she chuckles. "Seriously, you're going to make some girl really happy someday."
"I know," he replies with a soft smile, his thumb brushing lightly over her cheek. Sitting out in the moonlight, Y/N is the most beautiful person Sero has ever seen.
Sero then leans in, his other hand finding its place on the back of her neck, gently tilting her face towards his. The air buzzes with a quiet intensity as their lips meet. Sero kisses her tenderly, and her arms wrap around his neck, pulling him closer.
She feels so safe in his arms and butterflies flutter in her stomach. He makes her feel so warm, and she never wants to let go.
"You know, I've always liked you," Sero admits once the two of them have broken apart. "Don't forget, you're not alone in this Y/N. I've always got your back."
Y/N tries to come up with something to say, but her brain feels too foggy to come up with a single coherent thought. Instead, she simply lets him lean in again and capture her lips in another kiss. This time, it holds a different kind of sweetness, like a shared understanding that goes beyond words.
However, before the moment can deepen any further, they are abruptly interrupted by Bakugou's booming voice.
"What the hell are you two doing out here?" Bakugou shouts, storming toward them with a scowl. "Get your asses inside."
"We were just about to head in," Y/N replies, her eyes locked on the blonde as she quickly pulls away from Sero. He can tell the lingering feelings she still has for Bakugou and wonders if it's the reason she's been so cold towards him.
"Hurry up, then," he grumbles, his eyes narrowing.
"What's your problem?" Sero scoffs.
"Don't worry about it," Bakugou grumbles, grabbing onto Y/N's hand and dragging her toward the door.
"Bakugou!" she shouts, protesting as he pulls her away from Sero. "Let go!"
But he simply ignores her.
Sero follows the two of them inside, but loses them rather quickly. He's not quite sure what just happened, but the smile on his face doesn't seem to disappear. That is, until Kaminari points it out to him.
"Why do you have such a stupid grin on your face?" he asks, walking over and standing in front of him at the doorway.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Sero laughs, punching his friend playfully on the arm.
"I mean, why do you look like you just got laid or something?"
"Because, idiot, I did," Sero chuckles through his lie.
"No, you didn't," Kaminari protests, giving his friend a skeptical look. "I swear, Sero, if you hooked up with someone and didn't tell me, I'm going to lose my shit."
"You know I wouldn't do that," Sero smirks.
"Then tell me what the hell is going on."
"Fine," Sero rolls his eyes before pulling Kaminari toward the bathroom. Once there, he explains the details of his interaction with Y/N, and the kiss, and how good she smelled.
"Woah, man, you've got it bad," Kaminari smirks.
"Shut up," Sero laughs. "But you can't tell anyone about this. Got it?"
"Yeah, yeah," Kaminari sighs. "Wait, why?"
"Because Bakugou-"
"Bakugou saw you?!" Kaminari gasps just before letting out a fit of giggles.
"Shut up, dumbass," Sero rolls his eyes. "This isn't funny."
"It's a little funny."
"Just keep it quiet. Please," Sero begs, looking down at his friend. "I seriously like her, okay? And I don't want to ruin it because you're a loudmouth."
"I get it, I get it," Kaminari laughs.
"Thank you," Sero smiles.
"No problem. Now, are you going to tell me what she kisses like, or are you going to keep me in the dark?"
"You're sick, you know that?"
"Oh, come on, tell me."
"Fine, but if you tell anyone, I will literally murder you," Sero threatens, emitting a strip of tape near his friend's mouth.
"Okay, okay," Kaminari chuckles nervously, not liking the serious look in Sero's eyes.
"Good," Sero smirks, dropping the tape back into his elbow.
"Seriously, you should save that tape for more important stuff like-"
"That's it, I'm not telling you anything," Sero states firmly before starting to walk off.
"Aw, come on, you don't even know what I was going to say!" Kaminari pouts as he chases after him.
"Yes, I do," Sero rolls his eyes. "I don't want to hear it."
"Well, I'm pretty sure she can do some kinky stuff with that blood of hers so you should totally use the tape to-"
"Oh my god," Sero groans. "I can't believe I'm going to have to bleach my brain to forget this."
"Hey, I'm just saying what I know you jerk off to when nobody's around," Kaminari says innocently.
"I swear to god," Sero grumbles, not being able to believe what he's hearing.
"Alright, alright, I'll stop."
Just then, as the two of them reenter the common area, their jaws drop to the ground. How did they not hear any of the commotion from just down the hallway? Immediately, they run over.

FLASHBACK ~ ONE MONTH AGO
3RD P.O.V.
"Come on, Kaminari," Mina drawls to her friend from the customer side of the bar. "She's pretty cute. And besides, you need to get a girlfriend, or else that stupid look on your face every time Uraraka gets hit on is never going to go away!"
Kaminari shakes his head as he starts to make her regular drink. "I haven't had a girlfriend in so long, Mina. I wouldn't even know where to start."
"Well, if you don't want to start with a rando, then ask Uraraka out," she shrugs. "You've been pining after her for so long, just go and see."
"I mean she is cute, but I don't know about that," he sighs, passing her the drink. "I doubt she'd say yes."
"Only one way to find out," she smiles as she puts the straw to her lips.
"Fine," he groans, looking around the bar. There are a few women in the building, but most are too old or just not his type. "You know, I can't tell if you're just being pushy 'cause you want me to leave the bar open or what, but I'll do it."
Mina's smile only widens as she watches him jump over the counter and leave his station.
As Kaminari makes his way towards the front of the stage, his mind begins to run wild. Meanwhile, his friend reaches her hand under the bar and steals a bottle of tequila. She knows she won't be able to hear what Kaminari says to her, but she will be able to see his body language.
She watches from her spot, ready to cheer or throw a shoe at him if the need arises. And when he returns with his shoulders nearly glued to his ears, she gives him a confused expression. "What happened?" she mouths.
"Uh, it didn't work," he mumbles.
"What does that mean?" Mina sighs as he sits beside her and steals back the bottle of tequila. She then watches and waits patiently as he takes a long sip before returning it.
"I couldn't do it."
Mina lets out a long, frustrated breath. "You're hopeless, man. But I'm not going to give up on you," she declares.
"Thanks," he laughs sarcastically.
"No, seriously," she says, nudging his arm with her elbow. "We'll find you someone. Just wait."
"Whatever you say," he smiles, although he doesn't believe her.
∿*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣𐦍*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣∿
PRESENT DAY
When Kaminari had seen Y/N at first in the bar, he thought she was gorgeous. But as the night went on, and she followed him into the alleyway, he realized there was a lot more to her than meets the eye. She was dangerous, but he loved pinning her against that wall.
And even now, as she falls into a deep sleep in the bunk across the room, he still can't take his eyes off of her.
"So what are you going to do about her?" a voice interrupts his thoughts. He blinks his eyes until he can focus on the woman before him.
"Oh, Uraraka, sorry I was just," he gulps, not sure how to lie his way out of this one. "I guess I just want to see if there's anything I can do to help, I guess."
"Yeah," she nods. "I was thinking the same. Maybe this is some kind of sign like we're supposed to be starting something now, just like the fourth is doing."
"That would be good for us," he nods in agreement. "But I have no idea how to do that."
"Then perhaps you should go with her," she shrugs, looking back in the direction where she had previously seen me staring. "I bet she could help and she shouldn't go out there all alone."
"She's got her friend," she shrugs, trying to play it off.
"Well, just between us, I heard she'd rather stay here instead," she whispers this time. "Both of them have really been through a lot already."
"If I left, what would you-"
"I'd start doing what we all talked about when you first opened this place," she reminds him. "We'll go out and recruit. That way, when you get back, we'll be ready to give some support to the fourth in whatever they're planning."
Kaminari can't help but smile. "You've really got this all figured out, huh?"
"Of course, you just have to trust us," she grins. "I know it'll be hard to leave the bar, but it's important. We've all been talking about it."
Kaminari looks over to where Mina and Sen are arguing about god-only knows what this time. "And who says I even want to go out and risk my life for some random quell," he gulps. "Why can't Sen go? She likes him better."
Uraraka chuckles softly as she shakes her head in response. "Because if he goes, then that's one less person here."
"So, I'm the first choice," he frowns.
"Yes, Kaminari," she giggles, patting his shoulder. "I'm afraid you are."
Kaminari shakes his head as he sinks down to the floor and grabs a nearby blanket. He leans his head against the wall behind him and lets out a breath. If he's going to be making this ridiculously long journey, he'd wish he could at least get a good night's sleep. However, unfortunately, there's a girl sleeping in his bunk which makes his wish unattainable. He wishes she had never come into his bar in the first place.
He knows the others are right. He wants to help those in need, but he also isn't a fan of putting his own life in danger. Especially not when he's the owner of the most popular comedy club in the entire faction.
And yet, his heart tells him otherwise.
Kaminari doesn't really understand it, but he has a soft spot for Y/N for some reason. Most likely, it's because she is a quell and Uraraka was right- it's a dangerous journey for someone without a quirk.
He can't help but admire her dedication to getting revenge, too. It's been a while since he's seen such a fire in someone's eyes, especially when they have so little.
"Shit," he groans as he straightens his legs out and covers his face with his hands.
He can't just let her go. Not by herself.
"I'm so fucked."

9 | A Second Thought with the Explosion Hero
Pairing: Various MHA x Fem!Reader
Dear Departure
"I'll find him, it's not a big deal," Bakugou waves off Ojiro and Koda as they try to reassure him.
"Bakugou, please, let us help," Ojiro pleads, but Bakugou ignores him. This isn't even that big of a room, how is it possible that he keeps missing the only bright-red-haired student in here?
Just then, Bakugou's eyes catch onto a moving target. Mina, who is running as if she is escaping from prison, rushes right past him. Bakugou quickly follows, not quite sure why but something tells him that he needs to.
He doesn't quite catch up with her until he sees her standing before Kirishima. Bakugou gulps, not wanting to witness his confession. But, despite himself, he stays hidden in the crowd.
"Kirishima, can we talk?"
"Sure, Mina," he smiles, though he looks more concerned than happy.
As the two of them walk a bit further away from Bakugou, he loses the ability to hear what they're saying. He does try to move closer, but the annoying sea of people prevents him from doing so. Instead, he decides it might be better not to hear them.
Time seems to pass slowly as he watches the two of them talk. Part of his brain comes up with a conversation that he thinks he can hear based on reading Kirishima's lips, but it's not easy. Kaminari pissed him off so much before that he feels like his brain is fuzzy. That idiot must've shocked him or something.
Finally, Mina wraps her arms around Kirishima. Bakugou's heart sinks as Kirishima allows her to kiss him squarely on the lips. The two of them laugh, and Kirishima takes her hand, leading her out of the room.
"Fucking great," Bakugou grumbles as he finally decides to leave this stupid party.
As soon as he steps outside, the cool night air hits his face and he breathes a sigh of relief. He had forgotten how hot it was in there. But, the peace and quiet of the outside makes him feel a lot more comfortable.
He decides to walk around a bit. His eyes drift up towards the sky, which is a dark navy blue. He can see the stars sparkling faintly. As he admires them, a thought enters his mind.
"Isn't it incredible, Katsuki?" Y/N's soft voice resonates in his mind. It wasn't real, but he feels drawn back to a time when they were in love. "Look at all those stars, each one a shimmering piece of the universe. And yet, here we are, under the same night sky, together."
Bakugou always hated how her words sounded like poetry. She could soothe him out of anything so easily, and he hated it. Or rather, he hated that he loved it.
He continues walking, his shoes crunching the gravel beneath his feet. He can still hear her voice whispering sweet nothings in his ear. He can still remember her touch, her kiss, her warmth. She had such a strange way of making him feel safe, and he had been too stubborn to let it continue.
"I hate you," he had told her once.
"That's okay," she had replied with a smile, putting her hand on his cheek. "I love you."
"Ugh," Bakugou growls as he kicks a rock and it goes flying. Why can't he just get her out of his head? It's over, isn't it?
Sick of thinking of her, he decides to sit on a nearby bench and wallow in self-pity instead. He shouldn't've ended things with her. Especially not the way he did. He was so mean for no reason. He had no reason to say all of those things. He knew how much they hurt her. But he had to, didn't he?
But then there was Kirishima, the person he'd trusted most from his first day at U.A. whether he'd like to admit it or not. If he hadn't been so dense, if he'd only realized what was going on, he wouldn't have broken up with her. But then again, maybe he would've.
It wasn't worth thinking about anymore. Kirishima's off somewhere with Mina right now while Bakugou's stuck outside alone. He had pushed everyone away, just like his friends told him he would do if he didn't let them help.
It wasn't worth thinking about anymore. Kirishima's off somewhere with Mina right now while Bakugou's stuck outside alone. He had pushed everyone away, just like his friends told him he would do if he didn't let them help.
"Katsuki," she had hummed one morning after the two of them had spent the night together in Bakugou's dorm, "You know how much you mean to me, right?"
"What are you-"
"And you know that I'll always love you, no matter what happens," she had continued, pressing a kiss to his lips.
"Stop, it's too early for this," he had complained, burying his head in the crook of her neck and holding her tighter.
"But I'm being serious," she giggles at the sensation of his skin rubbing against hers.
"So am I," he mutters.
"Katsuki, if something happened to you, I would-"
"I know," he says, rolling his eyes and sitting up to look down at her. "I'd do the same. But nothing's going to happen, so just shut up and kiss me."
She laughs and pulls him back down on top of her. He kisses her and the rest of the world seems to fade away. She was his. He was hers. Nothing could ever change that.
But then, a few months later, they were nothing. Just a memory, and Bakugou didn't know how to handle that.
"I wouldn't be able to live if something happened to you," he suddenly whispers to himself, looking down at his hands in his lap. Well, at least this is the last night he'll ever have to see any one of these people ever again.
"You're so fucking stupid," he sighs as he stands up and stretches his arms. It's been a long night and he's ready to go to bed.

FLASHBACK ~ 2 MONTHS AGO
"Keep up," Camie calls out to you as you're pushed down the prison hallway by two large guards behind you.
"Where are we going?" you ask nervously as she turns a corner. But just as you follow after her, she quickly stops.
"You agreed to the deal, remember?" she hums as one of the guards opens a locked door to your right. "After you."
When you're ushered inside, you're not sure what you had been expecting, but it wasn't this. You had been expecting a small interrogation room. Not a small medical room. "What's going on?" you quickly turn to Camie as the other guard shuts the door behind her.
"I'm making sure you keep up with your side of the deal. Please, get on the chair," she nods toward a medical bed in the middle of the room.
"And what is that supposed to mean?" you glare.
"It means that we are going to ensure that you do or go anywhere that we won't like once you get out of here."
"Oh my god, will you stop being so dramatic and just fucking tell me?"
Camie looks at the guard and nods her head. Just then, two hands grip the sides of your head and tilt it to the side. "I would hold still if I were you. It hurts more when you squirm."
"What are you doing?!" you shout, trying to pull yourself free. "Get away!"
As you squirm, the other guard straps you down onto the chair, a thick band across your stomach. You watch as Camie pulls out a long scalpel from her pocket.
"Hold her," she nods to the guards before pressing the sharp edge into the side of your neck.
As much as you protest, Camie ignores you. Instead, she digs deeper until blood is dripping down the sides of your neck and pooling around the collar of your uniform.
"If you stop moving, it'll go by faster. I'm not trying to kill you, Y/N," she grumbles, obviously growing frustrated.
But your struggles only intensify against the sharp pain, your shouts echoing in the small room. Camie's face tightens as she tries to concentrate, but her composure cracks as the unexpected happens. In a desperate attempt to escape, you jerk your head away, causing the scalpel to deviate from where she had been holding it. So, instead of a precision cut, a deep slit opens across the back of your neck.
Camie gasps, her eyes widening with horror. "No, no, no!" she shouts, stumbling back as more blood begins to pour from the wound. Panic grows across her face as she clumsily tries to control the situation. The guards holding you look surprised, too, unsure of how to proceed.
"You idiot! What did you do?!" Camie snaps, her voice showing a hint of fear. She hastily grabs the small tracker she had intended to carefully implant, her hands trembling. In a desperate move to save the situation, she presses it down into your bloody flesh. "There, it's done!"
"That's not how it's supposed to be done," the guard who isn't holding your head speaks up.
"I know, damn it!" she mutters.
Blood continues to flow, and you feel your strength wane. Darkness closes in at the corner of your eyes as the room begins to spin. Camie, now more concerned than ever, issues hurried orders to the guards. "Get her up! We need to get her out of here!"
The two guards move you swiftly to your feet. Camie leads the way out of the room, fear spreading across her features while you struggle to stay conscious, the world around you fading into darkness.
∿*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣𐦍*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣∿
PRESENT
"Shit, you knocked her out face down in your nasty piss water," Mina groans as she bends down to help you. However, at the sound of her words, you quickly return to consciousness and wipe your face.
"Oh, god, what the hell?!" you nearly shriek.
"She's fine," Kaminari rolls his eyes as he offers his hand to help you up. "And anyway, it's not piss water. I just use it to strengthen my quirk. It's not like I'm actually pissing in it."
"I'm good," you refrain from rolling your eyes as you ignore his hand and stand up on your own so you can make your way back to Kendo.
"You look good, too," Kendo grins to you, teasing you despite the way she just watched her friend go unconscious.
"So, uh, what did you guys come here for anyway?" Mina then asks.
It takes you a moment to get your thoughts together, but you explain to them your situation and tell them all you know. They listen carefully as you explain how you were framed for murder, the experimentations on the eighth, and your journey to the seventh with Kendo.
"And that's how we met..." you trail off, forgetting the name of the man who led you here.
"Sen."
"Well," Kaminari clears his throat as he exchanges a look with Mina, "you're welcome to stay here for awhile if you need to."
You look at him sideways as he begins to walk back towards the stairs. "Didn't you hear what I just told you?" you narrow your eyebrows. "I don't plan on staying. I need to get to the fourth, to do something."
"We all want to do something," Uraraka sighs. "But what can we do?"
"We can get some sleep, first," Kaminari decides for the group. "Rest and then we can discuss it in the morning."
Just as you're about to argue, Kendo puts her hand on your shoulder. When you look over at her, she shakes her head, telling you to stop fighting. The tired look in her eyes is enough to remind you that both of you have had a long day.
"Yeah, alright," you sigh, giving in.
"Cool," he smiles. "I'll get some extra blankets. You can sleep in the bunks. If you need anything, let me know."
∿*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣𐦍*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣∿
That night, you walk over to the small circle of what seems to be a memorial where Kendo is sitting in the corner of the room. "Are you alright?" you ask softly as you sit beside her.
"I'm kind of confused, actually," she shakes her head as she looks across the room at the others. "Do you remember when we were in primary school and we learned about people with quirks?"
"Sure," you scoff. "It was nearly shoved into our brains that we are shit compared to them."
"But they don't hate us," she then shrugs. "They're kinda like us."
You follow her gaze toward where you spot Kaminari flirting with Uraraka like you had seen back in the eighth all the time before you got locked up. Except for the part when Uraraka floats just above the ground.
"Hey," another voice calls out from your right. You hadn't even noticed Sen walk over and sit beside you. "Never seen quirks before, huh?"
"Not as much as we have today," you admit.
"Here, look at this," he then hums, turning to face you and Kendo. You both watch carefully as his arms begin to twist like a screw. You can't help but lean forward a bit, interested.
"Wow," Kendo breathes. "I always wondered what they'd look like up close."
"Well, it's not really a pretty sight, but I can't say it's not useful," he smiles, almost sadly.
"What do you mean?" you frown.
"Well, Prime Minister gives us jobs based on what our quirks are. Unless you're a lucky bastard like Kaminari, who gets to run his own business," he shrugs. "Guess the P.M. is self aware enough to know we need a good outlet to make fun of his system."
"What does that have to do with your arm thingy?" Kendo asks curiously.
"Well, I have a construction quirk. So, I work as a machine tech," he sighs. "Can't say it's my first job choice but it's whatever."
"Y/N, we might be getting in way over our heads here," Kendo whispers quietly as she stares down at Sen's hands.
"I know," you sigh, "but I've got to do this. Look, you can stay here if you want but I can't. I don't think it's a good idea for me to stay in one place for too long."
"But why? Your parole officer won't come by my place for a couple days. And even then, it's not like she'll know where you are immediately," she tries to plead with you.
"Kendo, please," you close your eyes, trying to shut out her words. "I don't want to do this right now."
"Fine," she scoffs, standing to her feet. "Don't listen to the one person who's been with you since the beginning. Whatever."
You watch her walk away, but don't call out for her. It's too hard for you to try and explain yourself. Especially not when you can't even sort through your own feelings about this whole ordeal.
That night, you lay down in the bunk you were given and stare up at the ceiling. You think about the future. About Kendo and your plans with her. You also can't help but feel guilty that she's stuck in this whole situation, but there's nothing you can do. If she were to return home, she'd get caught in that house fire.
As you think about her words and thoughts of the tracker Camie implanted into your neck, you wonder if Kaminari's quirk could have short-circuited it. He did use his quirk right over the area where somehow you got stitched back up.
You suppose it doesn't really matter, though. Either way, you can't just sit here forever.

8 | Thoughts from the Perverted Hero
Pairing: Various MHA x Fem!Reader
Dear Departure
"It's alright, it's alright," Mineta soothes Kaminari by petting the head that's in his lap.
"But I... But I thought... All the time we spent..." Kaminari blabbers with a running nose and wet, red eyes.
Mineta had found Kaminari crying in a corner, hugging his knees and whimpering.
"Hey, don't be sad," Mineta says, his voice a little higher than usual. He feels sorry for Kaminari, and seeing his friend so upset makes his heart clench. "Take it easy, Kaminari. You don't want to ruin your last night surrounded by all of these hot babes, do you?"
Kaminari lifts his head slightly.
"What are you talking about?" he mumbles, his face wet and his nose runny.
"We have to make the most of our last night together," Mineta replies, smiling encouragingly. "Look around you. Don't waste your time crying over one when you've got a million chances for someone to say yes. Just don't walk to Yaoyorozu or Y/N. I call dibs."
"I'm pretty sure I've got a better chance with them than you do," Kaminari scoffs.
"Then show me. You'll prove it if you manage to score a girl, won't you?" Mineta grins mischievously.
"That's not really heroic," Kaminari comments a bit nervously.
"Are you scared that I'd win?" Mineta smirks, not telling Kaminari that both girls actually have an affinity towards the same person- Todoroki.
Kaminari scans the room and finds Momo talking to Todoroki. Thinking it'd be a rather good idea to approach them in his current state, he does. Mineta, meanwhile, sits back and enjoys the scene that unfolds before him.
Kaminari wipes the snot from his nose and straightens his shirt before approaching them. Momo looks up at him in surprise, and Todoroki turns to him with his usual, stoic expression.
"Are you alright?" they both ask at the same time, catching him off guard.
"Yeah, Yaomomo I wanted to talk to you," he sniffles, trying not to sound pathetic. "Uhm, can I talk to you, like, in private?"
"Of course," Momo nods, giving Todoroki a look. However, Todoroki merely takes a step back and proceeds to listen to the conversation. Mineta quickly becomes jealous of how closely Todoroki gets to listen to the conversation.
"Uh, hey," Kaminari begins, his hands twitching as he tries to figure out how to start. "You know, we're graduating tomorrow, and... and I just wanted to know... Uh, you know, we're friends, right?"
Momo nods, waiting for him to continue.
"Well, uhm, I was wondering, uh, do you wanna maybe hang out right now. We could go somewhere private. Like my room or-"
Yaomomo's face reddens. She's about to reject him, but Todoroki speaks first.
"I believe you're making her uncomfortable," he says, his expression unchanged.
"N-No," Kaminari protests. "I mean, I was just-"
"She doesn't like you that way. Don't waste your time."
Kaminari is shocked. He can't believe he was beaten by Todoroki. What is wrong with him?
"Kaminari, it's okay," Momo says, trying to comfort him. "Todoroki is just-"
"It's not okay," Kaminari mumbles as he walks away, tears pricking at his eyes. "I bet Mineta's winning the challenge now."
"What challenge?" Momo asks.
Kaminari walks away without answering her question and flops back down Mineta. He does his best to ignore the smug grin on his face.
"How'd it go?"
"Don't say a word," Kaminari sighs, burying his face in his hands.
"Oh, come on," Mineta laughs. "Fine, I'll give you an easier one. Try King."
"Y/N? Why her?" Kaminari frowns.
"Because she's easy, and she'll probably agree. Come on, let's go," Mineta says, pulling Kaminari to his feet.
"Dude, there's like at least a million reasons why I shouldn't go talk to her of all people! Besides, she's not easy and she's our friend so don't talk about her like that," Kaminari protests as he is dragged towards where Y/N is standing, her arms crossed.
"But she's single," Mineta points out.
"She has feelings," Kaminari snaps. "And they're certainly not towards me."
"Fine, then watch me do it," Mineta chuckles.
Kaminari shakes his head as Mineta approaches Y/N.
"Hey, Y/N, are you enjoying the party?" Mineta asks, leaning against the wall beside her.
Y/N glances at Hagakure who is standing beside her before turning to face Mineta.
"Uh, yeah," she nods. "What's up?"
"I was wondering, would you maybe, uhm, like to join me outside?"
"Why?"
"Oh, well, I wanted to talk to you about something," Mineta explains, doing his best to keep his composure.
"Whatever, fine," Y/N agrees, walking towards the door with Mineta close behind.
Kaminari is completely dumbfounded. Y/N would never go for Mineta, would she?
"What's that all about?" Hagakure asks Kaminari as the two of them watch from the window.
"Mineta said he's going to make his move," Kaminari mutters, feeling a little betrayed.
"Oh, god," Hagakure gasps. "Should we go after them?"
"Nah, let's wait and see how this plays out," Kaminari chuckles, watching as the two appear on the other side of the window not too far off. Now it was his turn to watch.
"Y/N," Mineta begins, fixing his shirt in a similar way that Kaminari previously had. "I'll give you ten dollars if you kiss me on the cheek."
"Oh, please, you never pay me back," Y/N rolls her eyes as she crosses her arms and leans against the wall.
"You're right, I don't," Mineta laughs.
"Is that what this is about? You and Kaminari have some sort of competition going on, and I'm supposed to be a part of it? Well, forget it, because I'm not playing. Now if you'll excuse me," she says as she turns to walk away. But quickly, he grabs her hand and spins her around again.
"Fine, I'll do you one better. I'll keep Sero away from you tonight."
"Sero's not bothering me," she scoffs.
"That's a lie and we both know it. I watched you avoid him before when you were with Mina."
"You're such a creep, you know that?" she rolls her eyes.
"Well, do we have a deal?" he wiggles his eyebrows.
"What exactly are the terms of this deal?" she sighs, knowing he's not going to give up.
"For ten seconds, you let me kiss you anywhere I want, and I will make personally sure to keep him away from you in the party," he grins mischievously. "What do you say?"
"No way! You said one kiss on the cheek," Y/N protests.
"Fine, fine. Now are you in or out?"
"You're such an asshole," she grumbles.
"So is that a yes?"
"Five seconds and you stay away from me the rest of the night. Got it?"
"Deal!" Mineta exclaims, his hands shooting up into the air.
"Let's just get this over with," Y/N grumbles, placing her hands on his shoulders and closing her eyes. Mineta takes a deep breath before leaning forward and allowing her to kiss him on the cheek.
"Time's up," Y/N says, pushing him away.
"Okay, okay," Mineta smirks, stepping aside and watching her walk back towards the front door. He then glances towards the window where Kaminari has his jaw to the ground.
"No way," Kaminari gasps, turning to Hagakure. "Did that really just happen?"
"It did," she replies hesitantly.
"Shit," Kaminari mutters, realizing that he's lost. "What the hell is wrong with me?"
"Come on," Y/N suddenly interrupts as she grabs Hagakure by the hand and walks off. Kaminari can hear Hagakure asking her what that was all about, but Kaminari doesn't hear her answer over the boasting of Mineta as he walks into the room.
"Now," he hums with a newfound swagger, "if you'll excuse me, I have someone I need to speak to. Goodnight, Kaminari."
"Oh, fuck you, Mineta," Kaminari curses as the smaller boy walks away.

Pairing: Kaminari x Fem!Reader
Null & Void
On the small stage, a man with blond hair and bright red sunglasses holds a microphone.
"Um, uh, how can you make a mouse smile?" he pauses before quickly adding, "By saying cheese!"
You and Kendo exchange looks of disappointment and confusion, then quickly look away.
"Well, uh, why was the cheese feeling so happy? Because it's gouda brie a good day..."
"Oh my god, it's the worst joke I've ever heard," you groan, just before the audience begins cheering suddenly. You can't tell if they're just drunk, or if they're genuinely enjoying his shitty jokes.
"No way that's actually funny," Kendo adds, shaking her head.
"It was awful, wasn't it?" you sigh as you lean your back against the bar, waiting to hear the next terrible joke come out of his mouth. "I don't know about this place, Ken, it looks good but we should probably be careful just in case they lied to get us to leave that, uh..."
"Fuck warehouse," she grins, owning the crappy word.
"Please don't say that again," you groan, tilting your head to the side at her.
Just then, the bartender approaches from behind you and asks for your drink order. Without looking at him, you request a Manhattan.
"Water's good for me," Kendo smiles softly at him.
"Water, really?" you tease. "You should loosen up before they wonder why we're even here."
"I want to be on alert in case something does happen," she counters.
"Yeah, alright, suit yourself."
Just then, the horrible cheese comedian as you've dubbed him in your head, gets off the stage as some other woman with pink skin shoos him off.
"So, I did have a notebook of jokes to impress a certain someone with how funny I am, but I accidentally melted my own notebook with my quirk. But hey, it's no biggie. He laughed about it when I told him," she begins, her voice raspy. "So I guess that's it for tonight. Goodnight and enjoy your drinks!"
However, she doesn't get off. Instead, she starts dancing. You and Kendo watch as she then makes her way back to the mic. "You know, if I was in trouble with a surveillance officer, I'd just show them my moves. I bet they'd be so impressed they'd just surrender. Why fight 'em when you can dance away the crime?"
"She's not much better," Kendo whispers to you.
"I don't know, she's not bad," you shrug.
Just then, the bartender returns with your drinks. When you turn to face him, you nearly lose your words. You hadn't been expecting a handsome blond man about the same age as you to be staring back at you.
"Thanks," you smile awkwardly, taking your drink.
"No problem," he smiles softly, holding up two thumbs up as he walks away.
"Did he just forget to make us pay?" she chuckles. "I think you flirted away the charge."
"Oh, please," you roll your eyes. "He was a total weirdo."
"Can't say I don't agree," she smiles.
Despite what you've just said, you can't help but watch as he walks out the back door. "Come on," you nudge her in the arm. "Got a lead."
After quickly downing your drink, you go around the side of the building to corner the bartender. There, you pull a knife to his throat. "Hey, you!" you shout.
"Y/N, what the fuck?!" Kendo nearly shrieks before covering her mouth to avoid any attention.
"Are you part of any activist group in this faction?" you ignore her and continue to press.
"Oh my god, he's not going to admit it with you putting a knife to him? Where did you get that from, anyway?" she asks softer this time.
"I swiped it from that warehouse," you admit, not keeping your eyes odd the blonde man.
"Ew, that could have so many diseases on it!"
The man before you starts to tremble and shakes his head. "I, uh, I'm not involved in any group, I swear."
"Bullshit, I heard that girl on stage and I know damn well she wouldn't be comfortable just saying that anywhere," you counter.
But before you can get any further, he begins to emit a bright glow and crackling sound. Remembering you're now in a place where quirks exist, you quickly back up. Minus that time in jail with Stain and Sen from the warehouse, you've never seen a quirk before. You have no idea what this man could be capable of.
When he notices you falter, he elbows you in the gut, grabs your knife, and spins your arm around the back. The wind is knocked out of you as he pins you against the brick wall, pressing your cheek to the cold surface.
"Tell me who the fuck you are!" he shouts.
"Hey, hold on!" another man's voice calls out. From behind Kendo, you see the man from the warehouse approach in a hurry. "Kaminari, it's cool. They're cool. Don't hurt her, she's with me."
"Huh?" Kaminari turns to him.
"What?" you breathe as Kaminari drops his hold on you.
"Wait, who the hell are you?" Kaminari asks as you grab the knife back.
"They're quells," Sen gives away for you both, earning a small scowl from both you and Kendo. "They're from the eighth. I think they just need a place to stay for the night, am I right?"
"Yeah," you agree.
Kaminari looks the two of you up and down before letting out a sigh. "Follow me," he mutters, leading you back into the bar. Inside, he opens an employee's only door and leads you down a set of stairs.
At the bottom, you step into a room with dark metal flooring. There are a few bunks scattered across the space, but what catches your eye is the large amount of puddles with cable wires sticking out of them.
You cautiously approach the center, stepping over the water which almost looks electrified. Yet, Kaminari walks plainly right into each and every one. "Who are you?" you then decide to finally ask him.
"I'm the owner of this place," he smiles as he spins on his heels. "My name is Denki Kaminari."
"And you may already know, but I'm Sen Kaibara," Sen nods, introducing himself properly.
"I'm Kendo and this is my best friend, Y/N. What the hell is all of this, though? It's, uh, not exactly a shelter," Kendo chuckles, obviously a bit unnerved. But before he can say more, another woman comes rushing in. Immediately, the two of you go on guard.
"What's going on in here?" she asks with big, round eyes.
"It's okay," Kaminari says, holding out his hands. "Sen's vouching for them."
Kaminari then walks closer to the woman and pulls her to the side to chat privately. Less than a minute later, another person walks down the set of stairs. This time, it's the pink woman you saw from the stage before. She grins as she sees Kaminari talking to the round-eyed girl.
"Hey, I'm Mina," she smiles. "Guess you two are new recruits or somethin', huh?"
"No, no, no," Kaminari shakes his head. "We're not going big or anything, Mina. They're just staying for the night."
"And I'm Uraraka," the round-eyed woman introduces herself with a polite smile.
"Kendo."
"Y/N."
"What is this place?" Kendo then asks. But you decide to pay more interest in the side conversation that Kaminari and Mina are having.
"Did you ask Uraraka yet?" she smiles mischievously at him.
"N-No," he mutters.
Just as you're about to interrupt their conversation, you step right into one of the odd puddles on the ground. Immediately, Kaminari shoots electricity out of his body and Mina glares at you.
"Y/N!" Kendo shouts.
As you turn to face your friend, you see she's floating in the air. Immediately, you pull your knife out and point it at Uraraka. "Put her down!" you shout. "Now!"
"Woah, woah," Kaminari rushes toward you.
"Don't get close!" you yell at him before turning back to Uraraka. "I'll hurt you!"
But unfortunately, Kaminari's speed is no match for your reflexes. Before you can realize what he's done, he's zapped the back of your neck with electricity. You hear Kendo call your name once more as you drop to your knees and pass out.

Dear Departure
"She won't let go of the bottle," Y/N tells Jirou as she leads her over to the counter where Mina is holding a bottle of tequila like a baby.
Jirou approaches her friend and puts her hands on her shoulders, giving them a reassuring squeeze. "Mina, please, let me have the bottle. You'll feel better in the morning if you sleep off the alcohol."
"No! I won't go to bed 'til I talk to Kirishima," Mina pouts.
"I don't think you should talk to him like this," Hagakure adds.
Mina scoffs at her comment. "Who asked you?"
"Mina, we're all just looking out for you," Jirou says.
"Why won't you guys believe me when I say that I'll be fine?"
"Because you're not acting like yourself right now," Y/N explains. "You're drunk. You need to lis-"
"No, you need to listen to me!" Mina retorts. "I need to see Kirishima and tell him that I like him."
"And you will, in the morning," Hagakure sighs.
"Fine, what about this... I'll bring you to your room and you can sleep for a while. Then, we'll come wake you up and you can talk to Kirishima. How does that sound?" Jirou suggests, hoping that will be a good enough compromise.
"Okay," Mina sighs, taking Jirou's hand.
"Come on, then, let's go," Jirou smiles as the two walk away. But just then, Kaminari and Sero show up. Jirou and Y/N exchange a quick glance before Y/N nearly pushes Jirou against Sero's chest.
"Sero, could you please bring Mina to bed? She really needs a break," Y/N grins at him with a smile that makes his heart beat out of his chest. If only Bakugou wouldn't kill him for asking you out.
"S-Sure," he stutters, immediately nervous as you talk to him.
Jirou groans as Y/N sticks her to be alone with Kaminari who approaches her with a cheesy grin. "Good thing you got here in time," he remarks, noticing the bottle of tequila in her hand. She scoffs and takes a small sip from the bottle before placing it back on the counter.
"So, hey," Kaminari tries to begin smoothly as he sits on one of the stools beside the counter.
"Hi," Jirou smiles nervously. She knows where this is going and she's been trying to avoid it all night.
"I was wondering if we could talk," he says, trying not to sound too nervous.
"Talk? About what?"
"You know, it's funny. I thought about this a lot, and I still can't figure out what to say," Kaminari laughs nervously.
"Kaminari, you don't have to-"
"Listen, Jirou, I really like you. Like, like you like you," he says, stumbling over his words.
"I know," Jirou sighs. She doesn't know why she feels so guilty about this, but she can't deny her feelings anymore. She thinks Kaminari is a great friend, sure, but she's just not into him that way.
"Yeah, and, well, I know that I've probably been a bit obvious," he chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck. "I mean, the other day, I was trying to make a joke, and-"
"Kaminari, stop," Jirou interrupts.
"Oh," he says, his shoulders sagging. He knows exactly what's about to happen. "Okay."
"I'm so sorry," Jirou apologizes. "I just, well, I- I just don't think of you that way. I think you're awesome and really cool but... I just don't like you the same way you like me."
"Oh," he says, looking down. "Yeah, I figured."
"I'm sorry."
"No, no, it's fine," Kaminari chuckles.
Jirou watches helplessly as Kaminari grabs the tequila bottle and walks off. Jirou calls out to him and grabs his arm, but he easily shakes her off and walks away.
"Fuck," she curses under her breath as she runs her hand through her hair. She feels horrible, but it was the right thing to do. She can't date him. She's not even into guys.
"Jirou, are you okay?" Y/N asks as she walks over and replaces Kaminari in the chair he was previously sitting. "Hey, I'm sorry about before. I just really don't want to talk to Sero."
"I'm fine," she shrugs. "I got it over with. Why don't you want to talk to Sero?"
"It's a long story," Y/N sighs, resting her elbows on the counter and leaning her chin in her hands.
"Then, how about this... since everyone's confessing tonight, why don't you tell me something?"
Y/N rolls her eyes. "Okay, but you can't tell anyone."
"I promise."
"I'm pretty sure Sero likes me... Except you already know how I feel about Todoroki... But none of it matters because whatever I do..."
"Bakugou will probably have something to say, right?" Jirou finishes for you.
"Right," Y/N sighs.
"Then, why not go for Sero? I'm sure he'd treat you right."
"That's what I've been telling myself," Y/N agrees. "I just, ugh, I don't know. You know, my dad told me that Endeavor would be more likely to help my career if I'm going with Todoroki. And shit, if he isn't the most handsome and sweetest guy ever."
"Wow," Jirou smirks. "I guess you've been thinking about this for a while, huh?"
"Since that prick dumped me," Y/N smiles.
"Look, I know you and Bakugou aren't dating, but maybe you should try getting some closure. Maybe then you'll move on," Jirou suggests.
"I can't. He doesn't want to hear it, and besides, if I talk to him, he'll probably go on some rant about how he lost all his feelings for me and can't get fully hard without thinking about-"
"He said that in the heat of the moment, Y/N," Jirou interrupts before you break down in tears again.
"It doesn't matter. He doesn't want me. I've accepted that. Now I just have to figure out what comes next."
"And what if you don't have to?" she shrugs. "I mean, what if you just give him a chance? Maybe he's not as heartless as you think."
"Trust me, Jirou, Bakugou's an ass. It's a miracle you still don't see that."
"But it's just a suggestion," Jirou chuckles. "Anyway, I think I'm going to get some sleep now. I've had enough of tonight. Thanks for helping me out."
"I should really be the one to say that to you. See you in the morning," Y/N smiles as she stands up and gives Jirou a quick hug.
As soon as Jirou leaves, Y/N feels someone staring at her from behind. But she ignores it as she steals the drink from the person next to her and quickly downs it before they notice.

7 | Rain
Pairing: Kaminari x Fem!Reader
Null & Void
Less than a minute later, the two strangers you had just seen hooking up, burst into the room angrily.
"Who the hell are you?!" the woman shouts as the man points his arm at you. Kendo and you both stand suddenly as it begins to rotate like a drill in your direction.
"Nobody!" you answer quickly. "We're nobody. Who are you?!"
"What? We asked you first," the woman scoffs, crossing her arms.
"Show us your permits," the man insists.
You and Kendo look at each other. "Why should we?" she asks. "You're not a security officer!"
"You, uh, you didn't see anything, did you?" the woman then asks a bit calmer than before. "Sen, they're not going to talk to anybody about this, you can calm down."
"See anything?" you shrug. "What do you mean?"
"We know you saw us-" Sen begins, before a quick nudge in the side by the woman.
"No, we won't say anything," you shake your head. "As long as you stop inquiring for our permits like some kind of officer."
"We won't," she replies, lifting her chin up slightly. "You may go."
"Setsuna," Sen then quickly turns to her before either of you has a chance to escape. "We should turn them in. They're obviously quells from the eighth."
"Why is that our problem?" she rolls her eyes. "They'll get caught eventually, they can't hide. They just said they wouldn't talk about us."
"Why is it so important we don't talk about you?" Kendo narrows her eyes at them.
"I'm willing to bet that at least one of them is in a relationship and shouldn't be here," you smile at your friend. "So maybe all four of us should forget what we saw here tonight."
"Thank you, that's exactly what I was about to say," Setsuna nods before looking at Sen. "See?"
"Whatever," Sen rolls his eyes, the two of them turning to leave.
"Wait, hold on," Kendo then calls out, much to your surprise. "Do you know about any activist groups in the seventh?"
"Kendo!" you hiss, pulling her aside.
"What?" she furrows her brows. "It's a legit question. These people are in the faction, they're probably involved with something."
"They could also be government workers! You don't know!"
"But if there was a group, we could stay with them. It'd be better than this place," she grumbles.
Setsuna and Sen pass each other a look. "No," the woman then shrugs simply. It's obvious, she's lying.
"The fourth has an actual activist group. Why don't you just go there?" Sen then asks.
"Uh, 'cause it's the middle of the night," Setsuna rolls her eyes. "Stop giving them ideas."
"Well, then the bar on Mizu Way would be a good place," he shrugs his shoulders, earning an icy glance from the woman.
"Thanks," Kendo nods before grabbing your hand. "Come on, Y/N. We should go there."
"Where's Mizu Way?" you ask the two of them.
Setsuna rolls her eyes as she grabs an old pen from the office desk nearby. She then grabs on to Kendo's arm and writes a list of directions to the bar. "Thanks," Kendo smiles gratefully at her.
"Yeah, well, you're lucky I'm not a snitch."
3RD PERSON P.O.V.
After Y/N and Kendo leave the warehouse, Setsuna turns to Sen and shakes her head.
"What?" he groans. "They seemed nice."
"I don't want the government sniffing around here, Sen. The Prime Minister's a fucking lunatic."
"And what? You'd rather have them just stay here and ruin our secret spot?" he argues.
"Whatever," she grumbles. "I've got a show in the morning so I'm heading home. I'll talk to you later."
"Sure," she sighs, watching her walk away. He always hated seeing her go, knowing that she'll just run right back to her boyfriend after the two of them finish the newest round of their game.
But this time, after Setsuna leaves, he doesn't have time to stand around and feel bad for himself. Instead, he fixes his clothes and runs in the same direction where the other two girls had gone. Although he has no reason to help them, something draws him towards the pair. Almost as if something in their eyes made him feel hopeful.
He just hopes he doesn't get killed for it.
Y/N'S P.O.V.
"You don't really trust those people, do you?" Y/N whispers to Kendo as the two of you walk along the dark streets of the seventh. "I mean, don't you think it was kind of suspicious how quickly they gave us those directions?"
"It was weird, yeah," she admits, trying to read her arm in the dim light. "But they didn't really have a reason to lie or send us on a wild goose chase. Besides, I'm sure they were smart enough to realize that if they pissed off a couple of strangers who walked in on them getting it on in the dark, we'd just go and report their fuck warehouse."
"Ugh, 'fuck warehouse'?" you repeat, cringing as she finally finds the right street.
"What? That's what it was."
"Sure, let's just hurry. I don't want to be out here anymore," you shutter.
Once Kendo finds the place, the two of you look up at the half broken-down building. A few lights are shining inside, a small sign saying, "Open," still lit up.
"Guess this is the place," she whispers as she walks in, not giving you a chance to argue.
"Hey, wait up! We should at least get our story straight first!"
The moment you step inside, you're blown away by what you see. You had been expecting it to be some run-down old bar, but instead, you see an almost fully intact building. There are rows and rows of alcohol along the walls, a few tables scattered throughout, and a stage on the left of the entrance. It's not just a bar.
"It's a comedy club?" Kendo phrases as a question as she looks at you with confusion all over her face. "Uh, maybe they did lead us to some bullshit..."

6 | Thoughts from the Electric Hero
Pairing: Various MHA x Fem!Reader
Dear Departure
Kaminari nods his head in time to the beat of the current song playing while he slides a few coins into the vending machine. He hums to himself as he reaches down and pulls out a bag of chips and a bottle of soda. Unlike the others in this party, he doesn't decide to confide in any of his friends before confessing to his crush.
His plan was simple. He'll wait until Jirou was alone- he did just see her go off with Mina- and then approach her with the bag of chips in his hand. With a big smile, he'll offer her some and then pop the question. How could she say no with a mouthful of salty goodness?
It's a foolproof plan.
As the music blares in the background, he leans against the wall and waits patiently. He doesn't expect it to be too long, since the two are just outside, and Jirou has only been gone for a couple of minutes. But finally, when he sees Mina walk back inside, he stands up and starts walking.
"Hey, Jirou!" he calls, trying not to sound too excited as the door opens for a second time. "I got some chips for us, if you want some."
"Uh, no thanks," Jirou says, sounding surprised.
And just like that, his plan goes down the drain.
"Oh, uh, that's okay. I guess I'll eat them all myself," Kaminari says with a shrug, trying not to look too disappointed.
"I mean, I'd like a soda, if you don't mind," Jirou laughs as she notices the unopened drink in his hand. He had really wanted it, but of course, he'd give it up for her.
"Sure, here you go," he grins as he hands it to her.
"Thanks," Jirou smiles. "You're not too drunk, are you?"
"Nah, I'll be fine," he assures her as she begins walking towards a less populated area. This couldn't be more perfect.
When she stops, she pops the tab and takes a sip of the cold drink. Her expression brightens instantly. "Wow, this is really good."
"I know. It's amazing what a cold drink can do on a night like this," he chuckles nervously. God, that was so awkward.
"Yeah, it really is," she nods.
They both stand there for a minute, eating and drinking in silence. Then, finally, Kaminari decides it's time to ask the big question.
"Are you sure you don't want a chip?"
Jirou laughs. "What is it with you and chips?" she chuckles.
"Oh, well, I-" he begins, but before being able to finish, Y/N runs over and grabs Jirou by the hand.
"Hey, sorry to interrupt but I need Jirou. It's an emergency. Mina's got her hands on a bottle of tequila and-"
"What?! Is she okay?" Jirou exclaims, looking a little panicked.
"Yeah, but she needs your help," Y/N nods. "She won't listen to us. Please!"
"Okay, I'll be right there," Jirou says before turning back to Kaminari. "Sorry, Kaminari, guess you'll have to tell me later on."
"Yeah, okay," he sighs, defeatedly as the girls leave him.
"Well that was pitiful," Bakugou laughs as he approaches from behind.
"You again?" Kaminari grumbles. "Have you even found Kirishima yet?"
"No," Bakugou scoffs. "And I swear, if I find out that he's not even here, I'll kill all of you extras."
"Even Kirishima?" Kaminari grins cheekily.
"No," he mutters.
"And what about Y/N?"
Bakugou, having enough, shoves Kaminari so hard that he tumbles over the back of the couch and lands on his head.
"What's going on over there?" Sero shouts, running over.
"Help me!" Kaminari cries.
"It's nothing," Bakugou smirks.
Sero shakes his head as he pulls Kaminari to his feet. "How much have you been drinking?" he asks.
"It wasn't the drink," Kaminari scoffs, glaring at Bakugou.
"Seriously?" Sero sighs. "Are you alright, Bakugou?"
"I'm fine," Bakugou remarks, obviously not fine.
"You know, you interrupted a really important conversation I was having with Jirou," Kaminari then continues.
"What are you even talking about? Y/N is the one who pulled her away so blame her."
"That's harsh," Kaminari sighs as Sero walks him over to where he was previously standing. "You know, you should at least say bye to her before you graduate and never see her again."
For a moment, Kaminari could swear he saw a glimmer of hesitation flash across Bakugou's eyes.
"Why should I? She has no interest in talking to me," he says gruffly.
"I'm telling you, man, it's worth it. She's a sweet girl and deserves a nice farewell. Just do it. You'll regret it if you don't."
"Yeah, you'll probably end up seeing her at some hero event or something and realize that you never got the chance to properly say goodbye. It would suck if you had to run into her unexpectedly."
"I don't care," Bakugou snaps.
"But it's our last night together, man," Kaminari sighs. "Don't you want to make the most of it? Don't you want to say goodbye to everyone?"
"You're right," Sero nods. "Just let her know you still care about-"
"But I don't."
"I don't believe you," Kaminari grins, winking.
"Well then stop thinking about her. If you're so worried, then you can spend the rest of the night with her," Bakugou snarls, pushing his hand into Kaminari's face and sending sparks into his face before walking away.
"Thanks a lot," Kaminari mutters, rubbing his now burnt skin.
"I think we hit a nerve," Sero chuckles.
"He still cares about her. That's a good sign," Kaminari laughs.
"You really think so?"
"I've haven't seen him so botherd in a long time," Kaminari grins. "But he keeps coming up to talk to me."
"It's strange," Sero comments.
"I bet it's cause he saw her over here and just wants to stick around," Kaminari suggests.
"Maybe. It'd be a shame if he didn't say goodbye."
"We should get him to do it. We have to do it," Kaminari says, determined.
"I thought you said you were in the middle of an important conversation with Jirou? Shouldn't you deal with that first?" Sero then asks him.
"Oh, that's right. Do you think you could come with me? I think I might just short circuit if this goes wrong again."
"Alright, just lead the way," Sero smiles, following him towards the direction where Jirou went.

FACTION 7 ~ NSFW CONTENT
"Ugh, come on, harder," Setsuna groans as she grips Sen's hair harder. She looks down, watching as he digs his head closer to her cunt, sucking her clit harder as his fingers fuck her deeper.
"Shit," she moans, her back arching. "Right there."
Sen does as he's told, his tongue darting against her clit faster. She continues to coach him along, encouraging him as she reaches her high.
"Fuck, yes," she cries as she grinds against his face, riding her orgasm as Sen slows down and pulls away. "Now come up here and fuck me."
As he rises to his feet, he looks at her as if he's just seen a ghost. His cock is hard and dripping with precum. Setsuna bites her lip, staring at the bulge in his pants.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" he gulps as he allows her to pull him closer. "Jurota-"
"Jurota doesn't need to know anything. I mean, be for real, Sen," she hums, trailing kisses down his neck. As much as his stomach knots up, he's not stopping. He loves the girl standing in front of him, after all. "We can't tell him. Don't you dare tell him anything."
Sen swallows hard as he watches Setsuna bench on her knees before him. "I told him I went to go visit my parents. That's all he needs to know," she sighs as she reaches into his pants and strokes his shaft.
"But," he shudders, leaning his head back. "He's your boyfriend."
"Mhm," she replies, taking his tip into her mouth. She flicks her tongue against his slit before taking him all the way into her throat, his dick throbbing against the sides of her mouth.
"Sh-shit," Sen stutters as his hips buckle. His eyes shut tight as he grips onto her hair, trying his best to control himself. "You do that too fucking well."
Setsuna laughs before pulling off of him, a trail of spit following. "And Jurota would kill me if he found out."
"Y-yeah," he breathes. "He doesn't need to know."

FACTION 8 ~ Y/N'S P.O.V.
"Kendo?" you knock on your friend's door that night after thinking everything all through. "Are you awake?"
"Mmm," she groans in response. "I guess I am now."
As you step in, Kendo rubs her eyes and rolls over to face you. "What's going on?" she then asks.
"We've got to go," you mutter.
"Go?" she repeats, sitting up in bed. "Go where? What are you talking about?"
"It's, uh, part of my deal with Camie-" you begin, just before she quickly stands up and starts rushing about her room.
"You did something, didn't you?! You pissed her off and now we're on the run, huh?!"
You hate how accurate she is, but you'll convince her to calm down once she's all packed up. So instead of responding, you simply sit there, waiting for her to get her shit together.
"Where are we going?" she then asks, tossing random clothes into her bag.
"To the seventh," you nod. You've already thought your lie out. "There's a Temporary Faction Exchange Program that I've been relocated to. Camie told me earlier."
"Why didn't she tell me this, too? I'm the one who took you in."
"I don't know," you shrug, "all I know is that the Prime Minister will burn your place to the ground if you don't agree."
"God," she mutters, rubbing her forehead. "Then let's get the hell out."
After you've successfully convinced her to pack up her things, you grab your bag and run through the nearby forest to the seventh faction.
"Why," she huffs as she keeps up with you through the dark woods. "Why aren't we going through the checkpoint? If this is part of a government program then-"
"Because," you cut her short as you stop quickly, "Camie doesn't give a crap about either of us. This program is some half thought-up bullshit, okay? There are no inter-faction permits."
"Oh my god," she gulps. "We're going to get caught! We'll-"
Again, you cut her off. This time, after hearing a twig crack somewhere not-so far away, you slam your hand over hers and yank her toward a tree, the two of you hidden behind its massive trunk.
"What are you doing, Y/N? Let go," she whispers as she tries to pull her arm away.
"Shh, someone's coming."
Just then, a flashlight beam shines in the direction of your hiding spot. The two of you are still and silent as a man in a security uniform walks by, shining his light along the way.
"It's Satou," you mutter, just before getting a flashlight shining right in your face.
"Y/N?"
"Uh, no..." you lie as you immediately drop your hands from Kendo and stand up straight.
"What are you doing out here at this hour? Are you trying to cross faction lines?"
"No, sir," you shake your head. "I'm actually, uh, heading back to my house. Just wanted to go for a walk, but now it's late and-"
"And where's your identification, Y/N?"
"Satou, you can't be serious," you groan as Kendo nudges you in the arm, telling you to get out your ID.
"If you're going to lie right to my face then I have no reason to help you," he shakes his head.
"Fine. My friend and I need to get to the seventh for-"
"You can stop there," he cuts you off for what feels like the millionth time. "Come on, let's go."
"Wh-Where?" Kendo gulps as you grab her by the hand.
"Come on."
The three of you then begin walking through the woods, most likely toward the nearest checkpoint. The whole way, Kendo is practically squeezing your hand off and you can't blame her. After everything you've told her, the two of you are now about to be caught and thrown in jail for the rest of your lives.
When Satou finally stops walking, a small town is visible up ahead. But there is no checkpoint in sight.
"Where are we?" you finally ask him.
"In the seventh. You said this is where you needed to go, right?"
"Yeah, but why take me here? You could lose your job," you remind him, though he simply just grins.
"Because your father was my best friend, Y/N," he explains. "He saved my life more times than I can count on my hands. It's the least I can do. And I may not fully understand what goes on in your head, I know you're a good person."
"Thank you," you whisper, giving him a soft smile.
"Of course. Now get out of here before someone comes looking after me," he nods towards a large warehouse nearby.
"Yeah, okay. C'mon, Kendo."
"Thank you!" she waves to him before walking away. "God, that was close."
You simply nod as you reach the door to the abandoned-looking warehouse. "Well, here we go."
"Is this where the program is?" she hums, obviously not buying your silly 'faction exchange program' bullshit anymore, if she ever was to begin with.
"Uh, yeah. After you," you lie as the door opens.
You follow Kendo inside, but she quickly stops before you can even take two steps. "Oh my god!" she shrieks. You and Kendo freeze in place. The last thing you'd ever expect was to catch two people hooking up on the other side of the large space.
"I knew it," Kendo gasps, beginning to pace back and forth. "There was no program. We're running from the-"
"Will you please stop!" you interrupt her, pulling her into an office space, not wanting the two naked people still going at it to hear anything incriminating.
"Y/N, I swear, you better start telling me the truth before I freak the fuck out!"
You bite your lip as you think of what to say. Kendo will not be happy, especially after hearing the whole story.
"Y/N," she warns, "what the hell is going on?"
"I, uh, I don't know where to start."
"Well start somewhere!" she nearly shouts.
"Alright, alright," you sigh. "Remember how I said I made a few friends in prison? Well, that's where I can start..."
Kendo's heart breaks as she listens to all you have to say. You explain everything, starting from the very beginning and not leaving anything out.
Well, there's always one exception.
After the whole story is over, Kendo can barely stand. She has to sit down in the chair, her hands shaking. You sit beside her and pull her into a hug. "I'll do what you need, Y/N," she whispers. "I'll stay here with you, but what are you going to do?"
"I don't know," you shake your head. "Find some moment of vulnerability and expose the whole conspiracy. Those poor people in the prisons... The quirkless... They're being treated worse than animals."
"Okay," she nods.
"You don't have to stay, Kendo. I know you have your store, I could never ask you to give up so much."
"I have to," she answers. "You're my family. You're the most important. I'll do anything for you. We're in this together."

Dear Departure
"I know, I know," Mina laughs as she pulls her hands out of Y/N's. "I'll be right back I just need a minute to catch my breath. Hold on!"
As Mina leaves her friends, she gracefully slides between bodies and plops herself on the sofa right next to Aoyama with a bottle of water in her hands. "Hey," she giggles, drunk.
"Oh, bonjour," Aoyama blushes as Mina scoots closer to him. "Are you alright?"
"I haven't seen you around much," Mina slurs. "Where have you been?"
"Right here, I suppose," he chuckles. To Mina, it almost seems as if he's trying to cover something. But he isn't typically a liar.
Suddenly, she sits up and faces the back of the couch, looking out into the crowd. "Wait, I think Y/N is going to come over. There's something I really wanted to talk to her about and maybe it's a good idea to run it by you, too!"
"Is everything alright?" Aoyama asks again, finally getting an answer by a nod of Mina's head.
"Y/N!" she calls out. "Come here!"
A moment later, she walks over. Aoyama is relieved to see that Y/N is mostly sober, unlike Mina.
"Hey, are you okay now?" she asks as she sits beside Mina.
"Yeah, yeah," Mina grins, sitting up straight and looking between her two friends. "I want to ask you guys something! Are you ready?"
Y/N and Aoyama exchange a nervous look.
"God, I wish everyone would just shut up so you can hear me better," she grumbles, frustrated when a new song begins to boom over the speakers.
"What is it?" Y/N asks, looking concerned.
"You can't tell anyone," Mina adds.
"Oui, I swear, we won't tell," Aoyama says reassuringly.
"Well," Mina bites her lip. "I was thinking of asking Kirishima to, you know, go out with me."
"Oh my god, really?!" Y/N gasps, her eyes wide. Mina knows how Y/N feels about it. Mina isn't dumb, and she doesn't want to be a bad friend either. She knows exactly why Bakugou broke up with her.
"I know what you're going to say, Y/N, but Kirishima's been single for three years and I can't stop thinking about him and I don't want to graduate without at least trying. So, please, help me out here. Tell me how he might react. I have to be prepared for the worst."
"You know the worst," Y/N scoffs. "I've already told you."
"I'm going to have to agree with Y/N," Aoyama adds softly. "If he rejects you, then you'll probably never talk to him again considering graduation..."
"But I don't think he'll reject me!" Mina protests. "I'm an amazing person."
"I'm with Aoyama," Y/N agrees. "I'm sorry, Mina, but you know how I-"
"Fine," Mina scoffs as she quickly stands to her feet, immediately needing to use the back of the couch to help her balance. "I'll just be alone forever."
With that, she wobbles away from the others, making sure to disappear quickly before Y/N can catch up to her. She knows exactly why Y/N and Hagakure have tried to stick to her hip all night. It's the same reason why she made sure she would be the most drunk at the party tonight. It is the last night to get her feelings off her chest. And when Kirishima rejects her, maybe she won't feel it as much.
But as Mina wanders away from her two friends, she finds that her heart still feels heavy. She's not ready to give up on her crush.
"Oh, hey, Ashido," a voice suddenly says behind her. She turns around and sees Jirou smiling softly. Finally, a face she doesn't quite mind seeing right now.
"Hey, Jirou, are you having fun?" Mina asks, trying not to let the disappointment in her voice show.
"Yeah, but I've been looking for you. Can we talk for a second?"
"Sure," Mina nods, trying to ignore the pit in her stomach. She hates being rejected. She doesn't know why, but she can't stand it.
"Look, uh, I've been thinking a lot lately, and... well, I'm going to miss you."
"Oh, thanks, I'll miss you, too," Mina tries to smile.
"Yeah, and uh, I think we should stay in touch, too," Jirou gulps. Mina notices that she looks a lot more nervous than usual, but writes it off as her being drunk. "So, can we make plans sometime to hang out, or something?"
"Of course," Mina giggles. "We can definitely hang out, no problem."
"Great," Jirou breathes a sigh of relief. "Then it's settled. We'll stay in touch."
"Yeah, I can't wait," Mina grins, a bit of the weight on her heart lifting.
"Me neither," Jirou smiles as she looks out into the crowd.
"Hey, Jirou, do you think we could step outside for a sec? I think I need some fresh air," Mina gulps, swallowing the puke that threatens to come up.
"Yeah, sure, come on," Jirou nods, taking her hand.
Mina doesn't argue. Instead, she follows her friend through the crowd until they reach the front door and slip out into the night air.
"Are you feeling alright?" Jirou asks as Mina sits on the front step and curls her legs to her chest.
"Not really," Mina sighs. "It's about Kirishima..."
"Oh," Jirou mutters, tapping the toes of her shoes together.
"Yeah," Mina huffs. "He's just... so kind. And I really like him. But I know he doesn't feel the same. What should I do? What would you do if you were in that situation?"
"I think," Jirou begins honestly, not quite sure how to tell Mina this without being too embarrassingly obvious. "I would just be his friend. I'd find him before the night ends and make sure we can still see each other after graduation because I'd be really sad if I never saw you- him- again."
Mina giggles at the slight slip of words, though she's much too intoxicated to notice the actual meaning behind the mistake.
"I'm gonna do it," Mina suddenly announces, rising to her feet.
"Do what?" Jirou asks as she stands up, too.
"Go talk to him. He is one of my best friends, after all," Mina nods, determined. "After you, of course. Thanks, Jirou."
"Okay, well, I'll be here if you need anything," Jirou smiles.
Mina grins and wraps her arms around Jirou's neck. Jirou is shocked, but she hugs her back, her face reddening slightly. "I'm gonna miss you."
"Yeah, me too," Jirou sighs.
"But I know you'll be a great hero. Just make sure you don't let those villains wear you out," Mina winks as she ruffles Jirou's hair slightly.
"You too," Jirou laughs, playfully shoving her away. "Now go, go, get going. Don't keep Kirishima waiting."
"I won't," Mina chuckles as she begins to walk back towards the door. "Thanks, Jirou!"
"You're welcome," Jirou sighs, watching as Mina slips away.

Dear Departure
Aoyama gulps hard as the bathroom door shuts right in front of his face. All he wanted to do was look for the stupid bracelet that Kirishima insisted he left in the bathroom. And, although he didn't want to leave Kirishima alone, he went back for it. Why did he go back for it?
A few moments later, Midoriya and Uraraka walk out of the bathroom without saying another word. Uraraka keeps her eyes glued to the ground as she yanks Midoriya along behind her. She obviously doesn't want to look him in the eye.
"I didn't see anything, I swear," Aoyama calls after them, his hands clasped together and held close to his chest.
The couple both freeze, Midoriya turning his head ever so slightly to glance back at him. His eyes look almost pleading. Aoyama doesn't understand why, though.
"It's okay," Uraraka finally squeaks as her hand drops from Midoriya's. She keeps her back facing him as she then walks quickly down the hall and away from him.
"Sorry," Midoriya adds, a sheepish grin on his face. And then, just like that, he turns and follows her down the hallway, leaving Aoyama alone to wallow in his guilt.
"I should not have seen that," Aoyama mutters, shaking his head. His face burns red as the images flash through his mind. The last thing he needed to see was Uraraka on her knees, sucking her boyfriend's cock.
But what makes him really guilty is the first thought he had when he saw the two of them like that. It was a feeling of longing. A feeling that made his heart race and his hands shake.
"No, no, no," he says quickly, his mind racing. He has to forget what he saw.
He always hated that he had feelings for Midoriya. He knew that Midoriya had been interested in Uraraka for the longest time.
And what's worse is that, for the smallest second, he wishes he was Uraraka.
"Aoyama, you can't keep doing this," he scolds himself, trying to get the thought out of his mind. "You can't keep pining after people who don't like you back."
Absentmindedly, he walks back and forth just outside the bathroom, as if contemplating whether or not to break the seal or not. And that's exactly what Iida thinks as he approaches him.
"Hello, Aoyama," Iida greets him.
"Bonjour," Aoyama replies, forcing a smile onto his face. "Why aren't you out there enjoying the party?"
"I could ask the same thing about you," Iida replies kindly. "Is everything alright?"
"Well, I, uh... I think I took part in something I wasn't meant to," Aoyama mumbles, looking away.
"Like what?"
"Nothing!" Aoyama practically shrieks. "I was just... thinking aloud."
"If you say so," Iida raises an eyebrow but doesn't press further. "Are you going to use the bathroom?"
"N-no, it's all yours," Aoyama nods, stepping out of the way.
"Thank you," Iida smiles as he opens the door and disappears inside.
Aoyama lets out a sigh. He hates keeping secrets, but there's no way he could tell Iida what he saw. He can't tell anyone. It'd be so embarrassing, but not just for him. He doesn't even want to think about the things Bakugou would say if word spread to him.
As if the devil had been summoned, Aoyama suddenly spots Bakugou walking towards him. His arms are crossed and his scowl is as deep as ever.
"Have you seen Kirishima?" he asks gruffly.
"He should be in the kitchen. I gave him some water and-"
"Goddammit, why does everyone keep saying that?" Bakugou interrupts, storming off before Aoyama can answer.
"Oh dear," Aoyama frowns. He watches him stomp away, and can't help but wish he hadn't been the one to say that.
"Well, I better head back," Aoyama mutters as he starts down the hallway. But just then, the bathroom door opens and Iida steps out.
"Hey, Aoyama, have you seen Kirishima around?" Iida asks.
Aoyama blinks. "Why does everyone keep asking that?"
"What do you mean?" Iida raises an eyebrow.
"Nothing," Aoyama sighs, running his hand through his hair. "Why do you ask?"
"I found his bracelet in the bathroom," Iida nods as he holds out the circle of grey beads. "I'm positive it belongs to him."
"Oh, that's right, he had asked me to find that for him. "Merci, Iida."
"You're welcome," Iida smiles kindly.
"Wait," Aoyama says just as Iida turns to walk away. "Uh, do you mind if we, um, talk for a bit?"
Iida's expression grows serious as he nods. "Sure. Do you need help with anything?"
"Non, non," Aoyama shakes his head. "I just figured that since it's our last night, I should speak to everyone one last time before..."
"Alright," Iida nods. "So, where should we begin?"
"How about, um," Aoyama trails off, his eyes wandering down the corridor. "How about we sit somewhere?"
"Okay, sure," Iida smiles kindly as the two head off.
"How was your week?" Aoyama asks, trying to think of something to talk about.
"Busy," Iida says with a nod. "Though I have to admit, everyone has been working so hard that the burden of being class rep has not felt as heavy this week."
"Oui, you are quite correct," Aoyama agrees.
"And you?"
"My week was fine," Aoyama says with a sad smile as the two of them find a spot on one of the sofas to sit. "Luminaflare has asked me to work at her agency once we graduate."
"That's fantastic!" Iida grins. "You know, she's always liked you."
"You think so?" Aoyama asks, looking up in surprise.
"Yeah, ever since last year when you first worked with her," Iida nods.
"Really?" Aoyama repeats, feeling a bit more relaxed now. "That's a nice thought. Maybe it will all work out, then."
"You should believe in yourself more, Aoyama. You're a great hero," Iida says sincerely.
"Thank you," Aoyama nods, unable to hold back his smile. He always liked working with Luminaflare, too. He always found her ability to absorb light from his own attacks quite fascinating.
"What do you think you'll be doing, then?" Aoyama asks, glancing towards Iida.
"Well, I plan on continuing my brother's legacy as best I can. I've been offered a job at his old hero agency as well as Manual's, so I've got a bit of thinking to do still, but Tensei thinks I should work in Hosu."
"That sounds perfect," Aoyama tells him.
"Yeah, I think so, too," Iida nods, looking a bit more relaxed than usual. "It's just the beginning of the rest of my life. And, to be honest, it's quite scary."
"I'm sure your family will be there to support you," Aoyama points out.
"They will. And I'll be able to visit them more often, too. I've been missing them," Iida smiles. "Hey," he then changes the conversation, "I'm going to go get some water. Would you like anything?"
"Non, merci," Aoyama smiles as Iida rises to his feet. "I'll talk to you later then."
"Are you sure?" Iida asks, his eyebrows raised.
"Oui, thank you, though," Aoyama nods.
"Well, if you're sure," Iida smiles before walking around the sofa and disappearing into the crowd. Aoyama then sighs, a bit disappointed that he hadn't been able to have the conversation he wanted to. After all, he knows the way Iida feels about Uraraka. But it's wrong to try to manipulate others' feelings for his own gain. He'll have to make do with what he has.
With a newfound sense of determination, Aoyama rises to his feet. He'll do his best to help his classmates achieve their dreams, regardless of his feelings for them. After all, what really matters is that they're happy.

NSFW CONTENT (URARAKA X MIDORIYA)
"Come on," Uraraka chuckles as she pulls Midoriya towards the bathroom. "I need a break from this party for a moment."
"W-Where are we going?" Midoriya gulps, his relationship with Uraraka still so new that he's unsure what to do around her.
Uraraka giggles at the nervous expression on his face. "We're just going somewhere a bit quieter. Just for a bit, if that's alright."
Midoriya gives a quick nod. He doesn't mind, though, as Uraraka's hand in his makes him feel warm. It's the first time all week that they've been able to have a moment to themselves. Graduation practice has caused everyone to be even busier than usual.
"You, uh, you look really nice tonight," Midoriya blurts out as he follows her down the hall. "I, uh, I like your hair."
Suddenly, Uraraka stops in her tracks and looks back at him. "Thank you," she giggles. "You look very handsome, too."
Midoriya blushes as he tries to figure out where to go from here. His palms feel sweaty and his heart is pounding against his rib cage. But just then, the bathroom door opens up and Kirishima walks out with a pale face. Behind him, Aoyama emerges looking rather worried.
"Kirishima, are you alright?" Uraraka asks as she rushes towards her friend.
"Oh, I'm fine, I'm fine," Kirishima insists, though he doesn't look like he means it.
"I've got it, ma chère," Aoyama nods as he places Kirishima's arm around his shoulders.
"Left my bracelet," Kirishima mutters, though Aoyama doesn't seem to hear what he says.
"Let's grab you some water in the kitchen, that may make you feel a bit better," Aoyama then tells him.
"Did he just throw up?" Midoriya then asks not-so-subtly.
"Fear not, he did not succumb to the upheaval of his stomach, but I was quite convinced that he was," Aoyama responds, though his attention is still mostly on Kirishima. "Now, let's get you that water, mon ami."
Midoriya and Uraraka watch, still hand in hand, as the two others walk off.
"Do you think he's alright?" Uraraka then asks, looking concerned.
"I'm sure he's fine," Midoriya assures her.
"If you say so," Uraraka smiles softly as she turns and leads him into the bathroom. "Well, this room is unoccupied now."
"S-Seriously?" Midoriya gulps as green electricity begins to spark around his body.
Uraraka nods, smiling slyly as she turns on the light. "I've been waiting for a moment like this all night."
"You have? I mean, me too," Midoriya admits as he closes the door behind him.
Uraraka grins as she places her arms around Midoriya's neck. She then places a kiss on his lips which tastes different than the usual flavor of strawberry chapstick that he's used to. This time, the taste of alcohol fills his mouth as their tongues intertwine.
Midoriya's hands fall naturally to her waist, though he's still hesitant to go further than that. They'd only just started dating and this would be their first time.
"It's okay," Uraraka whispers into his ear, pulling away from the kiss. "You can touch me."
Midoriya gives a soft gasp. His eyes fall down her body. The sight of her chest heaving beneath her dress is enough to make his knees weak.
"You're so beautiful," Midoriya tells her, his voice filled with wonder. "You're just perfect."
"I love you," Uraraka giggles, a blush covering her cheeks.
"I love you, too," Midoriya repeats, a wide smile spreading across his lips. He had no problem with telling her that. After all, he's loved her since their first year together.
"Now, hurry up, before someone knocks," Uraraka grins, placing her hands on his chest and pushing him up against the wall. "We wouldn't want anyone to catch us."
"We wouldn't," Midoriya gulps, though he says it more as a question than a statement.
Uraraka chuckles as Midoriya nervously reaches his hands down to her ass and begins to lightly squeeze her over her dress. He can't help but let out a moan of his own. She feels so good, her body so soft and smooth against his.
He's glad they've had this moment alone together. He's not sure he would have had the courage to do something like this otherwise.
When Uraraka reaches down to the bottom hem of her dress, it floats up slightly and exposes her smooth legs and panties. But what surprises him the most is the tattoo of a flower on her left hip, just above her panties.
"It's a lotus," Uraraka explains as Midoriya runs his fingers across the ink. "It means purity, and it symbolizes rebirth and renewal. It seemed fitting, seeing as we're graduating soon."
"You got it recently?" he asks softly as she intertwines her hand with his.
"A few days ago with some of the other girls. It was Mina's idea," she admits.
"It looks good," he replies, his gaze falling down to her hips. "Really good."
Uraraka giggles softly, and his lips curl up in a smile. He can't help himself as he pulls her close, their lips connecting once more. His hand runs through her hair as her hands reach down and unbuckle his belt.
His heart races faster and faster as he realizes what is about to happen. He's dreamt of this for years. And now that it's happening, he doesn't know what to do.
"Don't worry," Uraraka assures him. "We're in this together. Now, pull down your pants."
Midoriya nods, a deep blush coloring his cheeks. He can't believe how confident she is, but he's grateful for it. If it wasn't for her, this would never have happened. He'd be to nervous to ever even bring it up around her. She's always been the one to push him forward, and for that, he'll always be grateful.
Slowly, he pulls down his pants. His erection springs free, standing tall between them. It's the first time Uraraka's ever seen him like this.
"Wow," she breathes, her eyes widening slightly.
"Sorry, it's just, uh, the only thing I can think about is, uh..." he trails off.
"It's okay," Uraraka giggles. "I'm nervous, too. But, uh, I want to try something. Can I?"
"Try what?" Midoriya asks, tilting his head in confusion.
Uraraka's only response is a sly smile. He gulps as she drops to her knees. Her hand grips the base of his cock and slowly begins to stroke up and down. Immediately, his jaw drops as he stares down at her.
"O-Oh god," Midoriya groans, his head falling back against the wall. "That feels good."
"Just wait till you feel this," Uraraka grins just before wrapping her mouth around him and taking his length into her mouth. She's a bit clumsy, Midoriya knows this is her first time, too, but it doesn't matter. He feels amazing.
"Oh fuck," Midoriya curses under his breath as Uraraka slowly bobs her head up and down his shaft. His hand rests on her shoulder as her tongue swirls around his tip, making his knees buckle.
She's sucking him so fast that the sound of her gagging fills the bathroom. Tears start to form in the corner of her eyes. But she doesn't stop.
"You're doing great," Midoriya praises her as her mouth engulfs his cock. "You're so good."
She glances up at him, a smile on her lips as her hand continues to pump his shaft.
"Oh my god, I'm gonna cum," Midoriya moans, his hand squeezing her shoulder. But before he has the moment to find his release, the door swings wide open and, on the other side, Aoyama stands with his face bright red.
"Crap," Midoriya gasps as he pulls Uraraka to her feet and pulls up his pants as fast as he can. Then, realizing he could have easily shut the door instead, he uses blackwhip to do so.
Midoriya simply groans, his face flushed with embarrassment. "Oh my god," he mutters, hiding his face in his hands.
"Hey, don't worry about it," Uraraka tries to reassure him, but her own embarrassment is written clearly across her face. "L-Let's just go back out."

FLASHBACK ~ 2 MONTHS AGO
"You must be joking," Chizome laughs as you lean against the door of his cell with your arms crossed as you look at him.
"No," you narrow your eyes. "Why would I be joking about that? Look, this counselor's obviously new. She doesn't understand that I'm not going to fall for her bullshit."
"Y/N, listen to me," Chizome replies, his eyes burning into yours. "There is no getting out of this place. Not for any of us, no matter what they tell you. But if you can make 'em think you'll play along, they'll take you out of here."
"So what?" you furrow your brows. "How is that going to help me? I'll still be stuck on parole or whatever-"
"Aw, come on you know that's a load of shit," he rolls his eyes as he grabs his empty paper cup and pushes past you down the hallway. "Did you not just hear what I said?"
"You're starting to lose me," you answer as you try to catch up.
"Look," he stops, turning around to face you. "There's nothing either of us can do from in here. If you have the chance to get out and set yourself up so they feel secure enough to believe you're on their side, then that's what you should do. I don't care if it's some kind of undercover shit or whatever, it's worth a shot."
You think about what he's saying, chewing on your bottom lip as you do. Again, he starts walking and you do your best to keep up. He always moves so fast, as if he actually has somewhere he needs to be.
"So, if you were me," you finally reply, "you'd take the offer?"
"If it was given, yes. And then I'd play them. Play along. Do what you have to, but stay alive. You hear me, kid? I know I'm in here for life without a chance like yours but you," he nods, nudging you in the arm, "you can do something."
"What would I even do?" you whisper as you enter the cafeteria, your voices lost in the cacophony of chatter.
"You want to know what I'd do?" he smiles as he sits down.
"I'm listening," you answer.
"I'd make them think you're a good girl, that you've had a change of heart. They'll think they have your loyalty, then when they're not looking, you'll disappear. Go on the run and take that stupid so-called Prime Minister down."
"What? By myself? If I did that, I'd just end right up in here," you groan.
"Oh, come on, you know I wouldn't leave you hangin' like that, kid. I know a group of guys hiding in the fourth that'll help," he nods, looking at the guard nearby.
"You mean the fourth faction? How-"
"Just trust me, Y/N. It'll work," he whispers.
"But, Chizome," you sigh, "this is insane. How would I even find them? I don't know how to find anyone-"
"I'll tell you the address. Right now."
"But," you gulp, turning to see the guard standing right behind you. "They'll hear."
"Nah, that one's mine. He won't say a word," Chizome hums as the guard chuckles, looking away from the two of you.
"Chizome," you groan, feeling the urge to punch the man beside you in the face.
"Alright, alright," he chuckles. "I'll write it down instead. Memorize it, then swallow."
Honestly, at this point, his words don't phase you. Carefully, you watch as he writes the address down on the corner of a napkin, then quickly folds it into a small square.
"Swallow," he commands, holding the note out to you.
You roll your eyes but take the paper and walk off back to your cell to do ask he's asked.
∿*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣𐦍*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣∿
PRESENT
You stare up at your ceiling with a blank expression. There are a lot of things you'd rather be doing right now, but unfortunately, all of them are impossible. You let out a long sigh, wishing you could sleep. But your mind refuses.
Around noon, there's a knock on the door and you go to answer it. You figured that since Kendo's working in the shop, the middle of the day would be the best time for Camie to stop by. That way, Kendo wouldn't accidentally overhear anything and be put into the same situation you're in.
"Ready to talk?" she greets you as you open the door.
"Don't think I really have a choice," you reply as you step to the side and let her in.
"Yeah, guess not," she chuckles to herself.
After she takes off her shoes, you walk her to the small sitting area. You then sit quietly as she pulls out your file and has you sign a bunch of legal papers, basically signing over your soul to the Prime Minister.
"Alright," Camie nods as she closes the file, "Starting next week, you will be able to start your father's old job. You will be required to survey and monitor activist groups in the eighth on behalf of the Prime Minister. You will continue to stay in their ranks, but report back to us on a weekly basis."
"Got it," you mutter, knowing damn well you'll be doing no such thing.
"Any questions?"
"Not right now," you reply.
"Good," she grins sweetly. "But remember, if you get out of line, this home will be the next to go up in flames and you will be joining your little boyfriend in jail for life. Now, sign this one last paper."
Your eyes widen as she hands the pen to you. She's not fucking around, you realize. You're about to sign the final deal and you'll either spend the rest of your life in prison like Chizome or get killed by the Prime Minister.
Chewing on the inside of your cheek and repeating the location of the hideout of the activists from the fourth in your head, you pick up the pen one more time. Nervously, you sign your name. It's official now, this is when everything begins.
As you hand the pen and paper back to Camie, you finally realize what she had said previously about setting Kendo's home aflame. So before you can do anything, you're going to have to relocate her first. And that will mean explaining to her just what's going on.
"Well, that's all for today, Y/N," she smiles as she stands to her feet.
"But don't you have to like drug test me or something? I don't know, ask me about how I've been doing since I got out?" you sigh. "This seems a little quick."
"We'll get there," she answers, "but we're a little busy and we have our hands full at the moment. We'll schedule something for another time. Honestly, you shooting up isn't even one of my biggest concerns anyway."
As Camie sees herself to the door, you wish you could just bash her head against the wall instead of this bullshit. But you'd got Chizome and all of the others in the prison relying on you now, too. This is so much bigger than just you.
"Goodbye, Y/N," she says as she opens the door. "See you soon."
"Yeah, sure," you sigh.
And just like that, she leaves.
The second the door is shut, you rush to your room and pack your bag. You know Kendo might never have signed up for any of this, but now, there's no other choice. You've got a lot of work ahead of you.
And Kendo will not be happy.

PRESENT
While you and Kendo close up the shop for the night, you try to figure out how you want to phrase the question that's been on your mind since Camie dropped by.
"What should we have tonight?" Kendo asks as she locks the register. "I was thinking maybe some tomato soup from those tomatoes Mrs. Akaguro gave us."
"Sure, that sounds good," you shrug as you place the last item on the shelf where it belongs.
"What's up, Y/N?" she asks, not one to let a question go unanswered. "You seem a little off. Anything you want to talk about?"
You know she's been curious about everything since you've returned. You still haven't fully explained everything to her, but you're not quite sure what would happen if you did, anyway. But you do have to do something to ease the awkward tension between the two of you.
"I, uh," you begin before trailing off. How do you phrase that you want to see the house you supposedly burnt down to kill your family? "Can we go somewhere?"
"Um, sure," she nods, "I mean, where do you want to go?"
"I..." you hesitate, knowing this may come across the wrong way, but you can't help it. "I want to see where the old house was."
"Oh," she nods, biting her lip and avoiding your gaze. "Sure. We can do that."
After locking the doors, the two of you make your way down the sidewalk, taking in the fresh night air. Your home wasn't too far from Kendo's shop. The walk there is peaceful, and the night is calm. When you finally reach the spot where the home had once stood, the sight makes your heart sink.
You haven't been there in a year. To see the house in even worse shape than you remember, it makes everything so much more real.
"Y/N," Kendo gulps, looking away to avoid your gaze. "Why did you get out after only a year?"
You sigh. If you want to keep living with Kendo- and keep being her friend- you can't avoid these things forever. "There was a plea deal," you admit, turning to face her. Her eyes lift up, intrigued as you continue. "I took it."
"What? So you were let out after a year for no reason?" she tilts her head to the side as she tries to comprehend what you're telling her. "That doesn't make much sense. The Secretaries don't usually change their minds so easily like that..."
"I'm sorry, but that's all I can say right now-"
Before you can finish, Kendo takes your hands and places them in hers. You notice the look in her eyes turn hopeful as she says, "I know you didn't do it, Y/N. Despite the things you say, you would never kill them. I know that."
"Thank you," you whisper, not trusting yourself to speak. You had wanted to hear those words for so long, but to have someone actually believe you is more than you could've asked for. "But there wasn't ever any use in fighting it. It's like you said, the Secretaries are stubborn as hell."
Kendo gives you a small smile before squeezing your hands and telling you, "I want to show you something."
Together, you walk around the side of the house where the corpses of your family had been found, and spot a small stone sticking out of the ground. You then kneel beside the stone and read the message carved into it:
"Here lies the Sakamoto family, killed in an arson attack. Rest in peace."
You let out a shuddery breath. It's the only thing anyone could ever say, but the thought of them resting in peace after everything that's happened seems nearly impossible. They're probably shouting down at you from above.
"Some of the townsfolk put this together," she explains as she kneels beside you and pulls out a matchbox from her pocket. You watch quietly as she lights it and presses the flame against the wick of a candle, creating a small glow that flickers in the darkness.
"Thank you, Kendo," you whisper. "This means a lot."
Kendo chuckles softly as she wraps her arm around you and pulls you into a side hug. You look down at the small stone as you let your head rest on her shoulder.
"I'm always going to be here for you, Y/N. No matter what, you're not alone. Okay?"
"Okay?" you whisper, thinking back to all the times your mom used to say something similar. She'd always tell you ~
I'm always here for you, through thick and thin, making sure you never feel alone. No matter what challenges life may have thrown, you are never truly alone.
It brings tears to your eyes, thinking of the way she'd climb into your bed, read you your favorite stories no matter how tired she was, and kiss you goodnight. You had the best life.
"Y/N?" Kendo whispers, concern evident in her voice. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah," you nod, wiping the water from your eyes. "I'm fine."
The two of you stand up and brush off the dust from your clothes. "Ready to go?" she then asks.
"Mhm. I've got to do what's right for them. This is what's right," you answer, mostly to yourself before turning to walk away.
"I really hope you're not planning on doing something stupid," your friend shakes her head, causing a small grin to grow across your lips.
"No, of course not."
"Yeah, well that wasn't convincing at all, Y/N," she rolls her eyes.
"Let's just go back home, okay?" you suggest, not wanting to argue about something like this. Not right now.
"Alright, let's go," she sighs as she starts walking. "I'm starving."
The walk back to the shop isn't long. When you get back, Kendo begins boiling a pot of water. Together, you make the tomato soup, pairing it together with some fresh bread. The aroma is delicious and fills the whole room.
After a quiet meal, the two of you wash the dishes and sit down to play a game. Kendo sets up the game board and you begin playing, the silence stretching between the two of you as the sun sinks low in the sky.
"Thank you, Kendo," you hum.
"For what?" she asks, peering through the directions to the game.
"Just... thanks," you shrug. You can't find the right words, and Kendo seems to understand.
"Of course, Y/N," she replies. "Anything for you. You're my best friend."
You're grateful for her. Kendo has been with you since forever. The two of you have always been by each other's sides and there's no one else who understands you quite like Kendo does. Hopefully, one day you'll be able to explain everything.
