Soon I'll be moving out to a house with a small garden (So far Ive only had plants in my balcony)!!!! Im planning on doing a herb spiral I hope its not too difficult for a begginerish. Do youve any tips?
I think herb spiral will be perfect and beautiful for your small garden! i think you absolutely can do no wrong there because no matter how you make it, the plants will locate some soil, put their roots trough and grow and be beautiful and delicious. I've never made one so I can't give you tips, but I've seen other people do them, the only problem they had was random weeds making themselves look like herbs, competing with their plants. Or some herbs growing so big they needed trimming because they were competing with other plants too much.
Good luck with your herb spiral and give us updates! And for those who didn't know what herb spiral is, here's some pictures:

If you plant your herbs like this, you can plant more of them in smaller amount of space, limit how much space they're allowed to take, add diversity to your gardening space and make it easier on yourself when you're trying to harvest them - less leaning down if they're high up in the spiral. They're also very beautiful. It's like a whimsical little raised garden.

I'm sorry everyone, I know it's only been 24 hours but I accidentally ate some moldy bread. I let you all down. It wasn't on purpose. My roommate left me a piece of bread and I bit into it and ate some without realizing it was moldy. I got it out of my mouth when i realized there's some green growth on it, and also that it tasted like mold. I will be okay I didn't ingest that much.
I found a wild plum tree, and it already had the plum formed, so I grabbed one to try. It tasted acidic but ultimately really good! I was thinking I should gather some and make a juice out of them, when I bit right trough the pit, because it was still so soft I could just bite trough it.
I was trying to figure out which part was the plum, and which was the pit, but I was somehow chewing them both, and then I remembered that stone fruit had cyanide in their pits and I should not be eating that, so I quit eating that plum and got it out of my mouth.
There! I just needed you all to know that opportunity to get mildly poisoned presented itself and I didn't do it.

Do you keep seasonal gardening diaries? For the analysis of plant growth depending on external factors.
Oh anon, I wish I was that organized. I have a record in my brain of what did well and what didn't, and which year was it, so I'm working with that.
So far everything does well when it's 'warm' and 'sunny' and 'it rains once in two weeks', and if there's anything else going on, like raining for 2 weeks, or heat waves, or a drought, then plants are unhappy. Except some plants excel during rain, like peas and frost-hardy stuff.
Impossible to control external factors! All I can really do is try to see if plants do better planted earlier, or later, so every year I have an early wave, and a late wave, so that everything gets a chance to grow either way.

it was really heartening to learn that the purpose of creating such a thick uterine lining during the menstrual period was to prevent the implantation of embryos rather than encourage them, and that our uterus is basically flushing out anything it deems unworthy during the period itself rather than “punishing” us for not being pregnant (which is how it’s usually framed). it’s almost as if your female body is more concerned with the protection and continuation of itself rather than being used as a procreative vessel.
the fact that we’ve come to accept the idea that our reproductive organs are punishing us for not being continuously pregnant is proof of how deeply patriarchal brainwashing has convinced women that we are nothing but broodmares for ‘their’ children.

Maybe this is the wrong platform to pose this question given the average tumblr user but
Is it just me or did our generation (those of is who are currently 20-30 ish) just not get the opportunity to be young in the 'standard' sense?
Like, everyone I talk to who's over 40 has all their wild stories about their teens and 20s, being young and dumb, and then I talk to my friends and coworkers and classmates, and we just... dont.

I live in the countryside and have had wild plum trees in my yard since I was born. Never ate any plums from them though. My grandma who lived here before me told me they weren't safe to eat and would make me sick ever since I was a kid... now I wonder if it's true at all lol.
It's not xD I had eaten plenty of wild plums, and made juice from them in the summer! I think a person just needs to wait until they're ripe. There are lots of different types though, we have dark red, light red and yellow! The one I tried yesterday was dark red, they look like this:

And that is when they're not ripe! It's so tempting to eat them when they are such edible color. The other wild ones have not turned into fruit yet.

Morchella conica
Morels have been a Holy Grail of mushrooms for me. They're pretty common, yet I could never spot one. I'm always in the wrong place or time for them. But my luck changed for the better this Spring (April 12, 2024)

why you should have hope for separatism:
-this is one of the first times in history where women en masse are educated and (are expected to) participate in the working class which means now more than ever women are better equipped to take care of their own financial needs (even with all the tradwife influencers, not many women will be able to convert because house-wifery is strictly limited to the upper-class, which is shrinking more and more, so most women will always have to work anyways, and most women see this! even the ones that joke about being housewives/strippers are serious about their careers!)
-separatism is mostly non-action. it is strategic non-interaction with men or male media. it removes women from exploitative relationships with men. this means the only thing you need to do to convince women to become separatists is attack the idea that their lives will be unfulfilled without men. and more women and girls are embracing that culture simply because of their experiences (and access to education)!
-late stage capitalism and the rise of blatant misogyny men display is radicalizing women. which means more and more women are open to living together and raising children together romantically/platonically. (literally every woman i've talked to who's unmarried lives with their parents or wants to live with women because men are genuinely an unattractive option--thank you men for showing your asses <3)
-the internet and globalization positions women from all over the world to share their experiences (and we have many shared experiences), which means consciousness-raising has never been faster or easier or more powerful!
please read more literature on separatist strategies and don't think whatever is happening on tiktok/IG is how all women think. most women irl are not stupid enough to trade in their jobs for prostitution because women don't actually want that. many women i've talked to in real life also don't want children (in these conditions or at all)! they aren't radfems but they still have self-preservation instincts and intelligence!
there is literally so many ways we can use the current sociopolitical climate to our advantage. it is too early to give up. like wayyyy to fucking early.
