A/N: as a genshin player and zb1 enjoyer, i own a wealth of knowledge. if you don't know what i'm referencing or talking about then i'm sorry lmao i get rly into genshin

WHALES 🐋

GYUVIN - ok puppy dog has no spending sense and would swipe swipe swipe until he got the character. or somehow get his account robbed and card details stolen. wouldn't swipe for c6 on characters but would swipe for all the skins.

plot goes soaring over his head. though, he'd get 100% completion completely on accident bc he runs from chest to chest completing everything bc ooh shiny. (it's what i do)

definitely hops across different coop worlds to be an absolute menace. steals all your starconches, beatles and cor lapis and leaves.

a whale so team comp doesn't quite matter, but i feel like cool burst animation is a must.

RICKY - need i explain? he doesn't even play the game often, he just sees a cool looking character and swipes. feels like he would c6r5 a character if he really liked them. would get surprisingly into event content just for the exclusive items etc. cares mildly about the plot and zero for the exploration.

would play cool and pretty characters bc when you're a whale, team composition just doesn't matter.

META 🎮

MATTHEW - a confirmed nerd by his sister so you bet he's an enthusiast. pays attention to kqm, twitter and future patch leaks. grinds out for the spiral abyss and has op asf team combos. would spend but only if he knows it's worth it.

enjoys the plot and characters, but not massive on exploration. still enjoys all the characters thoroughly and knows more lore tidbits than most. is the sweetest coop friend.

GUNWOOK - okokok he'd be apprehensive at first until he pulls like c5 benny and a eula then the world of dps (damage per screenshot) awakens. fights wars in the trenches of the honeyhunterworld comments section. stays updated and dips in and out of the game.

secretly stays about for plot. finds exploration boring but can admit it's pretty. the dude who refuses to swap characters when doing coop domains. does a boss blitz when bored.

CASUALS 💫

HANBIN - ok only got it bc the kids said he should. (gyuvin uses him to get the coop achievements) actually ended up staying bc wow everything is gorgeous, the plot is engaging and the characters have depth! and it's all free ?? goes about it at a decent pace, doesn't do spiral often, just finishing floor 10.

tcg enjoyer and event player.

ZHANG HAO - TEAPOT MAIN god yeah hella into the teapot. only completes the story and everything for the teapot. comes on sometimes to help hanbin out or bc someone else needs mats from his world. has a solid overworld team for collecting mats etc.

mildly enjoys the plot but exploration is where it's at.

NOT A GAMER 🌱

JIWOONG - only got it bc everyone else did, found out it took too much space on his phone, deleted it. tried playing it on gunwook's pc but had to play zhongli with his shield up 24/7 bc mechanics are hard okay! does see it as pretty and that yeah some characters are worth spending money for but there are better ways to find enjoyment in life.

TAERAE - doesn't mind it. he just doesn't see the hype over online characters. if and when he does play, it's on someone else's account and on the tcg. man loves the tcg, making decks and sweeping the floor with everyone.

has insane pull luck.

YUJIN - hmmm he sorta thinks it's cringe but gyuvin makes him play it. defo a valorant kid. tried to make a gun didn't work. plot doesn't matter much to him, interested in some character backstory but dips out when it comes to exploring. yujin defo thinks childe, xiao and alhaitham are cool. paimon gets on his nerves the most.

"stop pushing the door when it clearly says pull," you say as you and maki walk into the school cafeteria.

"school sucks at placing these stupid doors. it's so inconvenient to pull a door when everyone is pushing you around trying to get food," maki complains, pulling a chair away from the table the both of you always sit at with your friends.

"where's the rest?" you ask. you look around to search for the others. the sound of students talking grows louder.

"didn't some of them have p.e. right now?" maki reminds you. after two minutes of sitting at the table the stream of students coming in stops.

"hey, can you look after my stuff? i'm gonna buy lunch, do you want anything?"

you shake your head, maki always liked to treat you to food, but you felt guilty for spending his money.

usually, maki would take his phone with him, but this time it's right in front of you, the screen faced down.

you pick it up turn it on to take selfies on it. as the screen lights up you are met with a selfie of you and maki together.

it was a selfie you had taken when the two of you were getting icecream after school.

his small peace sign and bright smile next to you holding up your icecream and sticking out your tongue. the numbers that indicate the time block a part of his face, but your face was clearly displayed in the center.

after snapping some selfies on his phone you put it back on the table. you were so going to tease him about it.

you refrain yourself from grinning when maki comes back with his lunch. your eyes follow him from the stairs to the table.

"what?" he asks, confused, as he puts his card back in his phonecase.

"am i your lockscreen?" you tease. his head snaps up, eyes wide and hand shooting towards his phone.

"you weren't supposed to see that," he eventually mumbles.

you chuckle at his embarrassment, he was lucky it was only the two of you having lunch.

"promise you won't -" "i won't tell the others, but we should take a better picture next time, one where your face isn't covered by the time when you set it as wallpaper,"

when maki arrives home to look through the other pictures he has with you he comes across the fifteen selfies you had taken when he was gone.

his face lights up at the sight of you, these selfies would become his next wallpaper.

7/100 days of productivity megumi joins a book club <3

I didn't follow my existing "productivity schedule" today either. Instead I took a step and put myself into yet another new and unfamiliar situation xD

There is a book club that meets up every last Sunday of the month and today was the first time I attended. I'd been interested to join for a really long time now but the idea of interacting with people was really really daunting; this time I decided to give it a go anyway. And I'm so happy I did because I had the best time ever. Everyone was really nice and friendly and we spent over three hours sitting in a circle at the park and talking about books and writing and literature and several other things. I made many friends and a few of us went to a bookstore together right after the event where we recommended each other some books and got ourselves a couple books as well. It was incredible and I just. yeah.

Another month has passed for us and we are happy to report that we are still going strong! We thought that the first Month we did this was super cool and nice to see, especially for ourselves, so we are doing it once again!

🌱 We started a Ko-fi and managed to reach over 100 Page Views and are up to 4 Followers! :D

🌱 We had an absolutely AMAZING month of Seven Hundred+ Notes! Honestly, this is more than wonderful and we are so happy to be getting into Tumblr, making wonderful mutuals, and shouting ourselves into the Void for Tumblr to share throughout the Worlds!

🌱 We ended up falling off one of our Writing Challenges, but the other one held true for the rest of the Month! We will be trying to commit fully to them once again in October, in prep for NaNoWriMo!

September Shifting Into October:

🌱 We are going to be participating in different October Prompt Writing Challenges this year, in prep for NaNoWriMo! We want to get our writing habit up and going and we think the Challenges are a perfect way to do it! We will go into more detail about it in a different post, but here are a few glances at the Challenges we are doing!

100 Drabbles Challenge Will be used in tandem with the Great Motivation Experiment.

Inktober/Writing Prompts We like doing tiny drawings paired with poems or small snippets of writes for Inktober.

Whumptober The main writing Challenge and focus for the Spoopy Season.

🌱 We will be emptying out the Draft Hoard, in order to prep for NaNoWriMo and with all of the challenges we are participating in, we are more than confident in our ability to actually focus on something!

🌱 We will be introducing some more WIPs, again in preparation for NaNoWriMo, and so you will be seeing some more Works from The Not Yet Diminished Masterlist come to life before November rolls around!

🌱 We will be doing mostly new works, and will be working on our Blog and Kofi, so we will more than likely not hold any of the older works in the queue this month.

Diary Quests

⚙️ So ya know that Diary Quest concept that came in with Season 6 last year? The one that gave you special gems that disappear after the next update? We’ve scrapped that model to present to you Personalized Quests V3.0, or as Devsisters calls it: your own personalized Cookie Run Diary. At about 11 AM (in Eastern Standard Time), you’ll get a new quest to complete in the day based on what you’ve done and what you haven’t. Don’t like the selected quest? Swap it out! It’s free every time, so this should be too easy! Complete that quest and you’ll get to keep a scrap of the Cookie you ran with today under today’s date plus daily stamp rewards for completing quests overall and across multiple weeks. Find your diary all the way to the left of the game mode selector.

At the end of the month, you can look back on previous months and leave yourself a message for that month. Keep that message friendly though, Devsisters has that almighty developer admin computer that can see everything in their game, including what you wrote there. You wouldn’t want them coming after you to turn your account into scrap for that “totally bold and completely profound” message you left there!

100% Special Cookie Chest & Pet Egg

⚙️ If there’s something that I researched about the brains of Cookies AND Homo Sapiens (that’s another way to say humans) alike, they both respond positively to something that says 100% in their favor. In this game, where everything is played up on a game of percentages to find what you’re looking for, seeing something that says 100% is a good thing, now that these are now fixed events. How do they work? The contents of (and cost to open) these chests and eggs are exactly the same as any Supreme or Special container of that section, but you’ll need a Special-level key to open it.

The rolled guarantee doesn’t limit the Epic pool like the standard Special Chest. Instead, you choose only one Epic Cookie or Pet, of which you WILL get at least 15 copies of what you chose. Every other Rare and Epic that the chest awards you is completely random from the whole lot of them. The chance for the chest to drop a Legendary still exists, but don’t count on it. That sits at 1% for anything.

Combi Changes

Bellflower Cookie 🌱: Increased scoring for Medicinal Herbs and Precious Herbs

🌱 Medicinal Herb Score: 3,000,000 at level 15

🌿 Precious Herb Score: 9,500,000 at level 5 Magic Candy

Playful Herbert: Increased Medicinal Tonic Jelly Score to 2,000,000 points and +15 Energy at level 15

🤝 Combi Bonus: Increased to +2,500,000 Medicinal Herb points

Ginseng Cookie 🍵: Increased Magnetic Aura when slamming the ground with his Ginseng Staff, Increased scoring for Ginseng Jellies

🍃 Ginseng Jelly Score: 650,000 at level 15, +100,000 points after revival with level 5 Magic Candy

🤝 Combi Bonus: Increased to +570,000 Ginseng Jelly points

Rooty:

🛠 Changed to move ahead of the Cookie when collecting Honey Roots. Fixes where Rooty doesn’t get a magnetic field when collecting Honey Roots

⬇️ Yellow Bear Jellies that are too close to the Cookie will NOT turn into Honey Roots

🧲 Added slight magnetism to Honey Roots

🍯 Increased Honey Root score: +86,000 points for Honey Root Jellies at level 15

Kumiho Cookie 🦊

⏩ She now starts her run by immediately turning into her Cookie form for her Bear Jelly Seduction ability

🛠 Fixed issue where Seduced Bear Jellies weren’t converted back to standard Bear Jellies after Kumiho transforms back into her ninetail fox form

🔄 Reworked Mystic Fire Jellies to spawn on top of regular Jellies instead of spawning them after collecting enough regular Jellies

❤️ Increased Base Energy: Now 296 at level 15

💗 Increased Seduced Bear Jelly Scoring: At level 15, +48,000 points to Bear Jelly score when Seduced, +17,000 more Seduced Bear Jelly points with level 5 Magic Candy

🧪 Added Divine Aurora Extract Flask to Treasure Combi Bonuses: +2,500,000 Last Blast points

Fox Bead: Increased jelly scoring during Giant/Blast mode to +23,000 points at level 15

🤝 Combi Bonus: Increased to +37,000 Seduced Bear Jelly points

Longan Dragon Cookie 🐉

🛠 Adjusted rising height to be lower during skill

🛠 Equalized the time when jellies rise when the dragon ascends to the sky. This alleviates the problem where the number of Bear Jellies collected could vary drastically depending on the timing of when Bear Jelly Parties were collected.

Onion Fish: Fixed issue where sound effects wouldn’t play properly

Fractured Mirror: Changed skill to activate even without recognizing Jellies

🛠 This fixes an issue with timing skill activation varying depending on where the Cookie was in locations with strong magnetic auras

Panacea Pestle:

⏰ Decreased time to create Medicinal Jellies: 7.9 seconds

⬇️ Decreased Combi Bonus: +524,000 points for Panacea Jellies

Scroll of Guidance: Fixed issue where Scrolls could be collected by Treasures with Jelly-collecting effects

⚙️ Scoring benchmarks for Bellflower, Ginseng, and Kumiho have been changed in their Cookie Trials. Why? They got buffs, duh! If they left those numbers as they were before, it’d be easy Diamonds all around!

Your Guild Bingo Board will now pop-up when you log in if you haven’t checked in yet today. If there’s one thing that raven in the corner’s got as this blog’s “Guild Master”, it’s remembering to check in with your own guild…

Random Breakout Combis will now show costumes that YOU equipped as the player, not a costume picked at random (that means no more random Super Epic and Legendary costume cheesing)

Encore: Finding the Tree

⚙️ Did ya miss the Cookiemals’ story with Churro Cookie in finding the City of the Millennial Tree?! Well it doesn’t take a time machine through the time-space danger zone to get you back there, where you can now recount the story from February 2021 for yourself over 15 stages, all reformatted to the new Story Mode template.

The Coin Chests can contain:

Silver Hammers and Paper

Yellow, Brown, and Orange Sugar Crystals (both standard and solid)

Cracked Treasure Stones (rank 5 and 4 only)

The Fruit and Tears of the Millennial Tree (rank A magic ingredients for Legendary Magic Candies)

Pale Leaves (Wind Archer Cookie’s Resonant Ingredient)

Doesn’t matter if you played it before or not, players old and new can claim those rewards all the same! If you’re gonna play ‘em though, do it within the time limit or else it’ll close on you before you finish!
