summary: you should really start using a pick for your guitar. Like seriously.

Hunter was concerned when she saw the state your fingers were in, like seriously you had blood splattered on your guitar. It looked like you had hit someone with it.

He immediately stopped you and it was only until then you realised how much pain you were in.

“Oh fuck- damn that hurts” you winced as you stared at your hand, sighing as you mentally slapped yourself for not bringing your own pick, you knew Hunter had no spares at the moment.

You set your guitar down as soon as Hunter pulled you to his bed, evidently worried about you whilst he went to the grab his med kit (he always kept one just in case things like this happened)

“Babe, if you want I’ll buy you a pick just please- stop hurting yourself, you know” he spoke softly as he cleaned your cuts, softly apologising when he heard you hiss.

“Yeah I know, I’ll go get one don’t worry.” You reassured him, pulling him down with your non injured hand to give him a soft kiss, which still made his heart swell despite you both kissing each other quite a bit.

Hunter couldn’t help but smile as he put plasters on each injured finger after throwing away the disinfectant wipes he used prior.

“God look at your guitar” Hunter points out as you wrapped your arms around his small waist, pushing your face into his abdomen. You hummed in response and smiled

“I mean it looks pretty cool, I can’t lie” You admitted which earned a frown from your boyfriend, you smiled and raised your hands in defence “kidding kidding”

“Just be careful next time” He said before kissing the top of your head and walking back to his own guitar to continue practicing.

I don't write nsfw of minors, so here's sfw.

What to expect: GN! Reader, mention of nightmares

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

He shows an average amount of affection. At school, he talks to you but he doesn’t show physical affection because he’s scared you’ll get picked on for hanging out with him. He also needs to keep up his edgy appearance. However, when you two are alone, he’ll definitely make up for the absence. He shows affection by gift-giving and acts of service. Someone made fun of you? He’ll blackmail them for you. Then, he’ll go buy you your favorite meal along with a stuffed animal from the corner store.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Well… We all know Hunter isn’t an ideal best friend, but he tries to be. You two would probably meet at school. You’d be at your lockers and he would make eye contact with you– his middle school crush. He'd turn red at the face and you'd go talk to him, asking if he's okay.

"Uh- What? Yeah- I'm- I'm fine." His voice cracks

"Okay..? I just wanted to make sure."

And you walk to your classes together.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

He loves to cuddle. He's definitely a big spoon, he likes to hold you close to him and smell your hair. He can be a little spoon sometimes if you want him to.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Hunter doesn't want to "settle down", but there's no way he's thinking about leaving you any time soon. He wouldn't have gone into a relationship with you if he didn't love you. When Hunter loves someone, he will always love that person, no matter what happens.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

With that being said, if he had to break up with you, he'd be heartbroken. There would be very few occasions where he would break up with you, however, they still exist. Maybe you didn't have enough time for him anymore. He would go to your house and say everything on his mind, which honestly comes out horribly rude because he doesn't know how to express his feelings. He starts to tear up and hugs you with all of his strength.

"I don't wanna leave you." As he starts crying into your shoulder, cursing himself for showing weakness.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Well… Hunter is still in high school, so he probably won't actually get married. He wouldn't want to marry you any time at the beginning of the relationship, but after dating for a while, he'd probably buy you a cool black ring with his dad's money and "propose" to you. You'd tell everyone you're married, even if not legally.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

… This boy is not emotionally gentle. At all. It's no secret he has a hard time understanding people's point of view. He'll try his best to be gentle with you, though. He's also not physically gentle either. He always punches his friends in the shoulder and play-fights with you. BUT IF YOU GET HURT during one or those play fights… He drops everything just to make sure you're okay.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He loves hugs. He does it very often when you're not at school. His hugs are like being buried in sand LMAO- He never realizes he's squeezing you too hard.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He says it immediately. When he starts to grow feelings for you, he starts to pick on you a lot; but when he actually realizes those feelings are love, he tells you about it immediately.

"Y/N!! LISTEN- Listen." He's panting from running up to you.

"I know I've treated you like absolute garbage.. But- I really love you."

He's scared but also proud of himself for finally trusting someone enough to catch feelings for them.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

He trusts you, but he doesn't trust other people. He gets jealous very easily- even if it's Kevin. He always hugs you from behind when he's jealous, but if jealousy builds up enough, he'll grab your hand and shout at the person he's jealous of. Then you'll both leave with a dramatic exit.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

He likes to kiss you in random places, and it’s adorable. He loves to bury his face in your shoulder and kiss your neck, and especially your collarbone. He, however, would be confused if you did this to him. He’s a sucker for forehead (or top-of-the-head) kisses. They comfort him a lot because they remind him of his mother.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He loves kids. He acts like he hates them, but he’s very much in love with them.

“Kevin. Kevin. Kevin. Kev-” “What, Hunter???” “Look at this little guy” *insert picture of a baby metalhead* “Awh, that’s actually sweet.” “No, dude. It’s totally badass.”

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

You wake up next to him, he’s stroking your hair as if it’s an angel’s, and he truly thought you were one. He gets up to go get you a glass of water, and sometimes it’ll take him 10 minutes to get back because he gets into a fight with his dad. Although, when he does come back, he’ll be kind of moody. (which means extra cuddles)

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

You guys both watch a movie before you go to sleep, but one thing about Hunter is that he’s a LOUD sleeper. He snores and moves a LOT. He can’t help it though.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

He slowly reveals himself to you. Sometimes he’ll expose them in an argument, or sometimes he’ll expose them in a “joke.” Whatever you do, don’t laugh. He’ll never open up to you again.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

I think Hunter’s patience is pretty self-explanatory… Long story short, he’s pretty easily angered with anyone, but not as easily when it comes to you.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He remembers everything. He can’t even remember what he ate for lunch, and yet he still knows what you said exactly 7 hours and 23 second ago. Your friend hurt you? He knows every single detail and guilt-trips your “friend” about it every time he sees them.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

His favorite moment is at the beginning, when you first confessed to each other. He’s never felt so loved before, especially from someone who loves him back. He’ll never forget the sense of security and pure love he felt when you two kissed for the first time.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Hunter is very protective. Someone hurt you? He’ll hurt them worse with that dorky little punch of his

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He puts in a lot of effort. He’s the kind of guy who will wear jeans and a t-shirt to a fancy dinner, but will wear a suit to a netflix and chill date. On anniversaries, he buys you tons of candy. Mostly your favorite, but also some of his so you can eat them together.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

No matter how many times you tell him not to, he chronically bites his nails. He’s upset that his black nail polish is ruined, but he also knows that rough nails “are so metal, dude.”

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He’s only a bit insecure, but he quickly gets over it when someone/something feeds his ego.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Yes. Without you, Hunter would feel like he was abandoned again. Like part of him is missing. How could the best part of his life walk away from him so fast?

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Hunter cries 24/7. He can’t show emotion to a lot of people, so he lets everything out when he’s alone. He cries in the basement listening to slow metal blast in his headphones because he wants to feel the music.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He would HATE if his partner was overbearing. Actually- they wouldn't even be his partner if they were overbearing.

Z = Zzz (What are some sleep habits of theirs?)

He snores. He sleep talks about how Metallica is so much better than Megadeth (he's wrong) He constantly moves around. He cries in his sleep and has lots of nightmares.

Hunter andava estressado, pois havia um problema em sua banda: eles ainda não tinham um baixista.

Hunter estava determinado a encontrar alguém que pudesse preencher essa lacuna, alguém que compartilhasse sua paixão pela música e tivesse a mesma pegada do heavy metal em suas veias. Foi quando ele ficou sabendo de um garoto misterioso que se encaixava perfeitamente na descrição.

Ouvindo falar sobre esse menino da mesma idade, com aspecto rude, tatuagens e piercings pelo corpo, Hunter ficou curioso. Ele sabia que não deveria julgar as pessoas pela aparência, mas a imagem desse garoto parecia se encaixar perfeitamente no estilo de sua banda.

Decidido, Hunter foi até um local onde diziam que o tal garoto costumava frequentar. Quando chegou lá, seus olhos se encontraram com os do menino. Vocês dois se encararam por um momento, como se soubessem que havia algo em comum entre vocês.

"Você é o baixista que estou procurando", disse Hunter, entusiasmado.

Você o olhou com um sorriso de canto de boca, respondeu: "E você é o cara da banda."

He always hated brushing his hair after washing it. His arms got tired and once he had knots in his hair it was over for him. So he reluctantly let Y/N brush his hair after he offered

Hunter would be the type to down energy drink after energy drink, But His partner won't let him drown in caffeine, so he forced him to drink water after taking away his monster privileges for a couple days

A/n: tbh this fics is based off is that I ordered something on Etsy and it was taking longer than expected so the person gave me an extra necklace as an apology and I think that was sweet of them :) anyways I'm feeling all soft at the thought of giving it to my boyfriend once I get one akskdjdkdd-

Y/n knocked on the door. It was raining and the last thing he wanted was to get soaked before he saw his boyfriend. The door opened to reveal Hunters dad "hey Y/n how've you been" "oh nothing much. Is hunter here?" On que metal music started blasting through the hall. Mr. Sylvester turned back to him "answer your question?"

Y/n nodded and and walked in down to the basement. Heavy metal blasted I'm his ears. Back when he started dating Hunter Y/n would cover his ears, practically bleeding from the over stimulation. He's so used to it now that he just shouts over it "Hunter! Hunter! HUNTER" at the sound of his name Hunter faces Y/n "What?" "Dumbass you're gonna go deaf by the time your twenty-" Y/n says as he walks down the stairs "-i brought you this" he shoved his hand into his pocket and pulled out a necklace. It had a crescent shaped moon made out of clay that hung from a silver chain.

Hunter just looked at it "what's this?" "A necklace dumbass, all that loud music fry your brain?" Y/n joked. "Shut up"

"you gonna put it on?"

"you're literally dating a man but a necklace is where you cross the line"

"Alright fuck head I'll wear it" Hunter said. Y/n rolled his eyes. He then unclipped the latch on the necklace and wrapped his arms around Hunters neck. A faint pink appeared on his face "what are you doing?" "Putting the necklace on you" Y/n said. While his boyfriend was clipping the necklace around his neck Hunter placed his hands on Y/ns lower back. When he was finished Y/n kept his arms around Hunters neck. He leaned in and gave the brunette a peck on the lips.

Hunter quickly kissed back, this one being longer. He pulled back and muttered a quick "thank you" Y/n being a smart ass smirked. "What was that? A thank you from the Hunter Sylvester from skullfucker? Remember me when you're famous" "Shut the hell up" Hunter said as he pulled himself out of Y/ns hold, trying to go back to practice for his band.

While he started playing Y/n wrapped his arm around Hunter from behind and gave him a kiss on the neck "I love you" Hunter trying not to seem affected replied "yeah whatever I need to practice"

Rating: Fluff + comfort

Before Hunter knew, he would offer you food all the time. Once he found out, he felt really bad and did all the research he could to help you feel better, without making you uncomfortable.

Once he finds out about it, he does everything he can in an attempt to not trigger anything. He wants to help you, but he knows how harmful that might be.

If he notices you going back into your habits harshly, or not eating very much, he just offers to hold you and listen to music or watch a movie. He would bring things up very calmly, saying things like, “Hey, I noticed you didn’t eat much today. You doing alright?”

He just wants you to know he’s there for you!!

He would listen SO WELL. He listens to music all day in his room, of course he can listen to someone he cares about this much.

At the mental hospital he stayed at, Hunter met some people like you. He learned about what you’re going through. He even learned about some of the treatments they get for recovery.

He even went back there to try and talk to those people, but they didn’t let him in. Instead, he got a pamphlet with information on how to help you. He got one for you as well, but hesitated on giving it to you, worrying it might trigger you.

He started taking you on less dates that involved eating. Concerts, shopping at record stores, and arcades are his go-to’s now.

He genuinely is so worried about you. He never really cared about your weight, or anything like that, and just wanted you to be happy and healthy.

A/N: I've never written from the perspective of a male reader before so sorry if this is off! I guess this can also be gender neutral if you ignore certain terminology :) @the-criminaltbc

What to expect: Violence, Hunter being in awe of the reader, swearing, male reader

Glenwood Lake Highschool was a fucking bore. It had the standard popular kids- who were almost always assholes, the quiet kids- you don't have too much against them other than the fact that some of them are psychotic, and there was you. A metal-head since birth. Superior to the rest of them? Maybe. Besides, it's not like this place had much to offer other than the select few. Your prime example: Hunter Sylvester. In your eyes he was a pretty fucking cool and hot decent dude.

You were walking down the hallway to your next class, music blasting in your eyes, deafening you from the real world. You took this time to observe your surroundings. To observe how people valued school so much, to see how from such a young age we are taught to believe that it is the only path in life. You sure as hell wanted more to life than this shit hole.

You're about to reach your next class when the asshole jock in front of you starts shoving his way through the crowd. People are getting pushed left and right yet, no one is saying anything. You immediately know who it is- Skip Hoffman. Fuck it. "Hey asshole. Are you that far up your own ass that you can't see the people around you? Or has daddy have yet to buy you glasses?"

Hoffman cocks his head, "What'd you fucking say to me huh?" What a cliché. It was all just so typical that you had to laugh, "Ohh I'm sure you heard me buddy, or does daddy need to buy you hearing aids too?" That's all it takes for him to lunge at you but, the way he's hobbling towards you makes it too easy to block his punch. A crowd is forming around the two of you- and you'd be lying if you said you weren't getting cocky. Skip's gone red at this point- his nostrils are flared. He kinda looks like a fucked up bull.

He raises his arm again and his fist is nearing your head, it brushes right against your ear and that's all it takes to piss you off further. Your muscular arms are grabbing him by the collar and he's flailing around in your grasp. Just as you're about to land a hit on his jaw- "Y/L/N, Office now!" The crowd around you bursts out into different directions, and a few stragglers are left watching at a distance.

You land the hit anyway, the Skip Hoffman goes limp in your hands. Knocked out in one hit- a new record. The previous teacher opens their mouth to yell at you again but, you beat them to it, "Save the speech. I'm dropping out of this shit hole." With your final 'fuck you', you walk past Hunter and his friend- both of which in awe, a certain metal-head more than the other.

Hunter turns to Kevin, "See, that is what it means to be fucking metal Kevin. That is one hell of a fucking guy!" The pair of them aren't exactly subtle with their remarks, and you can't help but smirk at Hunter's awe. You dig into your large pockets pushing past all the random scraps inside of them, until you lay your hands on a crumbled piece of paper with your number on it.

Before you leave, you turn to the pair and push out the flimsy piece of paper towards Hunter, "Call me...I might know a thing or two about metal. I know you do too. " The metal-head's face goes red and he takes this time to carefully consider his next words, "I guess you'll have to prove it to me. See you soon."

You may or may not have had planned giving Hunter your number for a while...

A/N: Hello, Tumblr! This is my first post and fic, so sorry if it’s poorly written!! Also very short, sorry about that. ^^'

“hunter i need you rn” “help” “hurry”

I sent him so many messages and he still hasn’t answered. Go figure, he’s at band practice which is obviously more important than me. Now I’m laid on my bed with tear-stained cheeks and my boyfriend isn’t even here for me. Fuck it, I’ll sleep for now and deal with him in the morning.

As I’m sitting at the edge of my bed, I debate whether I should get up or not. School sucks but I guess I still have to go, unless I want to be ridiculed by my parents. I groan and go to the kitchen to eat breakfast. My phone rings. Again, And again, And again. Now it’s blowing up with messages from–whom I can only assume– is Hunter. I decide to ignore him. After all, why give him attention he won’t return?

Next thing I know, it’s 8:00am and I’m walking into school. Before I can get to class, I’m being pulled into the janitor’s closet. “WHAT THE F- MHH???” I muffle into somebody’s hand.

“WHOA- Whoa, calm down, it’s me.”

My heart drops when I register the voice as Hunter’s. His hand drops, and I want to chew the shit out of him for not answering my S.O.S, but I don’t. I don’t even turn to face him, I keep my back pressed to his chest. The closet is filled with a tense silence I don’t plan to break.

“Hey, I’m sorry I was at band practice. What did you need to tell me?” He asks. “Oh, I don’t know… Why don’t you ask my sore arms?” I blurt out.

I feel his arms tighten around me and his breaths become uneven.

“I’m- I’m sorry, Y/N.” His voice cracks.

I take a deep breath, “It’s too late now.” I laugh bitterly.

“Hey-” He grabs my wrist and tries to turn me around, but I yank it back from him.

“It hurts,” I start.

“Sorry. I didn’t mean to-” “NO, HUNTER. It hurts. You’re hurting me. You’re always caught up with your stupid band practice and your nerdy little friends but you’re never here for me. I have needs too, Hunter! When we started dating, I hoped you’d pay more attention to me but now you’re even more distant. I need you.”

By this point, I’m in tears. He says nothing before pulling my head into his chest. I want to push him away but I’m too fragile. I can only think to myself, Shit. He won me over again. I’m glad he’s trying to make amends but it makes me feel so gullible. He pulls this fake comforting crap and never holds his word when he says he’ll “take more time off.”

When I finally have my tears under control, I wipe my nose on my sleeve and speak again.

“I’m done, Hunter. I’m exhausted. I can’t do this anymore.” An insincere smile is plastered on my face.

“No. No, Y/N you can’t-” He huffs. “You can’t do this, we’re a pair. We were meant to graduate together! You were supposed to go on tour with us! Skullfucker!” “Oh and there you go, talking about your BAND AGAIN.” “Y/N I’m sorry. Please.” He begs. “please.” His eyes are watery and his hands are gripped to my shoulders.

“I tried.”

Another tear falls as the bell rings, and I leave the janitor’s closet, and Hunter; behind.
