How to catch a baby brother

Richard 'Dick' Greyson had a problem. It wasn't a nuclear level of problem but it also wasn't a paper cut level of problem either. Because apparently he had a baby brother no one in their family but Damien knew about. Granted Damien had confessed that said baby brother was dead and had supposedly died eight years ago.

The explanation that Talia had apparently pulled another Jason was not helpful at all. According to Damien, in response to Tims findings, there was no other way for the twin to be alive other than Talia having preserved his body and then decided after eight years to drop it into the pits. Well lets just say his opinion on that woman if it was already down in the depth it certainly was now.

Which, considering the glowing Lazarus green eyes, could mean that there was now an eight years old child running loose in the Bat Cave with Pit Madness. Not just a simple feral eight years old that looked like perfect B adoption material and so happened to be blood related.

"Guys we need a plan. We can't just let our little teethling run loose."

"Richard, do not refer to my brother as little teethling." Dick only grinned. "Well the little biter needs a nickname and until I find something else fitting its teethling. Or do you have a better suggestion?"

"For once I agree with Todd. Absolutely not, who knows where he has been. I will not have my brother become sick from biting him." He would have cooed at this, if Jason's face change from surprise at the agreement to a purely offended scowl wasn't so funny.

Dick eyed Jasons for a moment, he didn't seem to be affected at all nor had he said anything about the Pit being upset or feeling anything strange. So maybe the little guy wasn't suffering to an extrem from it? But he had apparently been brought back by a Lazarus Pit, so the likelihood with their experiences so far was slim.

"Well we gotta find a way to secure the little guy before B comes back or Alfie finds out." Jason mentioned still scowling at Damien. "By the way, I want to be here when you guys tell B about this. I wanna see his face and make fucking sure the little biter won't be turned into another kid soldier."

"Jason." He scowled, this was definitely not the right time for that sort of discussion but he had a point, they needed to find little… what had Damien said his name was? Wait did Damien even tell them the little guy's name? They all had just been using nicknames so far.

"Dami, what's the little teethling's name again?"

"I haven't told you yet." Ah okay so he didn't have a hole in his memory. "It's Danyal, but when we were younger he didn't like the way grandfather and our teachers called his name and insisted on being called informally as Danny."

"Okay right, so we better find little Danny and get everyone together to introduce-"

"Might I ask who this 'little Danny' is, Master Dick?"

He did not scream. But his heart rate shot up with Alfred just appearing behind him like that. Really sometimes Alfred could be as bad as Cass in the ways of sneaking up on people without them knowing.

"Alfred, hey hi what are you doing down here?" He was not nervous, no he wasn't. The way the butler narrowed his eyes at him did definitely not scare him at all, nope.

"I was informed that all of you returned uninjured." Though his eyes narrowed at Jason's hand that got cut earlier and his brother instantly tried to hide it behind his back when he noticed Alfreds eyes on him. "But the four of you, despite having returned to the Cave, have not come up yet. So I was merely checking on you, to make sure nothing was wrong after all."

He gulped. Really there was no way of ever hiding anything from Alfred.

"Jason brought a child to the Cave that we found out is Damien's twin that had died eight years ago but was brought back to life and is now feral and hiding somewhere in the cave."

At least it was Timber that blurred out everything they knew so far.

"His name is Danyal." Baby Bird added and the four of them waited for Alfred's reaction.

"I see. I will go prepare one of the rooms then and inform Master Bruce to return sooner from his meeting with the Justice League then. As well as prepare for a family dinner as soon as possible, I assume. Will my help be needed in finding young Master Danyal?"

"No worries Alfie, I think I have an idea on how to draw out the little shiiii-biter. You made cookies, right?" Jason at the last minute corrected his words because of the look and Dick couldn't help but snicker.

"I indeed did. If my help is not required then I will be on my way."

Giving them all one last look over, the Butler smiled before he turned to leave. Dick, Tim and Jason let out a sigh in relief once Alfred had left again to which Damien only eyed them strangely.

A little while later Jason went to get the cookies and came back with the plate and staring at a green post-it note. "Since when does Alfie stick green post-it notes with cryptic shit on plates?"

"What?" His brother only shrugged offering the note to him. Tim was looking over his shoulder at it and the two stared at the strange writing.

"I think Cass or Steph might be pulling a prank on us? These look just like random squiggles."

"Let's leave this for later and look for the little teethling." He passed the note to Tim, noticing the curiosity in his eyes. Oh boy, he probably should make sure his little brother gets some sleep instead of trying to encrypt whatever was written on that little note all night.

"Now everyone lets take a cookie, resist eating it and go hunt down our little teethling."

Damien narrowed his eyes on him. "I told you to stop calling Danyal that." The little baby bird still took a cookie though and marched away into the bat cave. They had separated wandering through the Bat Cave trying to cover as much ground as possible and by this point Dick was ready to call for Cass to join them, maybe even wake up Duke just so they would finally find the little kid.

That was until a familiar yowl of pain resounded in the Cave. The direction made Dicks stomach sink once he remembered just what was in the Cave in this direction. "Jason!"

Once he arrived there he feared for the worst. Jason avoided the area, because B had placed their Lazarus Pit there and his brother had often said that it was one of the reasons he didn't like coming to the Cave that much anymore let alone into this area of the Cave. To hear his brothers shout of pain from that area couldn't mean anything good.

Well that was until he got to the scene. Dick didn't know how long he stood there frozen but at some point he knew he took out his phone to take some photos of what was happening. Tim was already laughing and Dick was pretty sure that Babs was most likely recording this with one of the many cameras B had in the Cave.

Jason lay with his back on the ground, with one hand his brother was still holding the cookie waving it desperately before Danny's face who was biting down on the other arm sitting on the downed vigilante's chest. Little hands gripping onto the arm in an attempt to make sure no one was taking his chewtoy away from him. Meanwhile Damien was trying to lift the little biter off Jason by holding him with his hands under the kids armpits.

"I'm smirking because you're too oblivious to realize I was being sarcastic." You groan, annoyed. "shut up before I wipe that smirk off your face"

His smirk grows. "Oh? And how would you go about doing that? I can't wait to hear this." You turn to make sure nobody else is around, then you pull him into a heated kiss.

He stares at you in surprise for a moment, then his eyes widen and his whole face goes bright red. Before he can even think of forming words, he kisses you back and wraps you in his arms, pulling you close.

You angrily chew on his bottom lip. "Oh-!" Miguel gasps in surprise. He holds you tight as you bite his lip. "That's a new.... interesting... tactic." He loved it but he'd never admit it, to your face at least.

"Not smirking anymore now, are you?" You are the one smirking now. "Nope, not smirking anymore." He gives a soft smile.

"So. What made you do that... hmm?" He asked. "You get on my nerves too much." You reply. "I see. Is this your way of revenge then? It's certainly... a unique method. Quite bold and very... forward of you too." Miguel says.

"It certainly got rid of your smirk but you can't seem to shut your mouth just yet." You say, annoyed. "Well you know me, I can never shut my mouth, as you've said." Miguel replied, quite amused by you.

He chuckles and looks at you with a sly smirk again, his eyebrows wiggling. "Why are you wiggling your eyebrows at me perv?" You ask, furrowing your brows.

"Because it's funny to see you all riled up." Miguel says smugly. His smirking turns into a wide grin, as he wiggles them ever faster.

"You should see yourself right now, so angry that I'm having so much fun." He leans in a bit toward you, still smirking as he stares into your eyes.

You get real close to him. "Wanna see me even more riled up?" You whisper into his ear. "Oh sure," he chuckles softly and nods his head. "I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy this."

"Shut up." You start kissing and sucking his neck. You unbutton his shirt a little to get more access. You start to bite him.

He stares at you in shock as you sink your teeth into his neck, but not for long as his eyes squint and he presses you closer against himself.

"Pretty... boy? Why, you're so rude to me all the time, and yet I'm your favorite person, aren't I?" He pulls away from the kiss for a moment and gives you a look somewhere between playful and serious.

"You make me so mad, but you drive me so crazy." You admit. "Well aren't you a complex woman?" He leans back, his arms still wrapped around you.

"That being said, you're not too bad yourself. You really know how to ruffle me up too." You roll your eyes playfully, a soft smile on your face. "Let's get back to it yeah?' You say.

"Don't have to tell me twice." With a smirk, he pulls you back to him and resumes the passionate kiss. You hope nobody walks in on you two like this. Miguel seems to have the same thought. He pulls away and puts a hand on your mouth to keep you quiet, as he pulls you closer to himself.

"Don't want anyone bothering us now, do we?" He asks. "You're the noisy one here with all your moaning, groaning and nonstop chatter." You say against his hand.

He chuckles at your observation. "Well... maybe you're just that good at getting me going?" He wiggles his eyebrows, before removing his hand from your mouth.

You can't help but laugh at him wiggling his eyebrows. He looks ridiculous. "What is it?" He gives you an amused look and raises an eyebrow, but only stops wiggling them when he's seen you laugh.

"Am I being funny? Do I look silly? Or... are they just too distracting?" Miguel asks. "You look ridiculous when you do that." You reply. "I... really don't care you know?" His smirk returns as he wiggles them just for you, winking one eye as he laughs.

"If you like it, I'll keep doing it. And.... I think you really like it, don't you? You laugh harder and lightly slap his chest. Surprisingly, he hardly flinches, not moving an inch as you slap him.

"You're not much of a slapper are you?" He chuckles again, eyebrows wiggling once more. "Shut up." You smile and move to put your hands underneath his shirt. "Wow, you really are feeling handsy aren't you?"

After a long night of lovemaking you'll probably be covered with lovemarks and his back is full of scratches from you. For him it's partly marking you, it's a primitive instinct he can't really help. And another part is just for the fun of it.

Echo

He loves your neck and he loves to leave hickies there. Echo is a sensual, cuddly fellow when you got through his walls and earned his trust.

Tech is experimental. Of course he tries it and he is fascinated. He is tender and sweet while making those marks. He does like it when others see them, knowing he made them. He is really into showing everyone that you are his.

Crosshair

Hickies? Not so much. Love Bites? More likely.

He can be rough, he can be soft. But he is physical. Leaving marks is a normal thing for him. But he loves when you leave them too. What he loves the most is when you leave scratches up and down his back.

Crosshair loses it when you dig your fingernails into his back when he fucks you. It gives him an extra kick.

Hickies? Yes absolutely! He leaves them all over your neck and on the insides of your thighs too.

Gregor loves the whole act of doing this, aswell as the fact that everyone can see what he did to you. He is so happy and proud about being with you, he wants everyone to know.

You can leave marks on him too, he is totally into it. He shows the marks you leave on him around like medals of honor.

Tips from a recovering nail biter

My lil tip for nail biters who wanna quit - scented cuticle oil. Well, cuticle oil in general, but scented cuticle oil is even better.

If you can't deal with any added fragrance, try oil blends with stronger natural scents like rosehip or essential oils (whichever ones you can tolerate, I know not all are sensitive skin/nose friendly). The idea is to pick a scent that's pleasant but not associated with food. Those fruity and bakery scents are nice but may encourage you to nibble if you already have trouble keeping your hands out of your mouth. The idea is to condition yourself to associate that particular scent with "hands away from mouth". I like typical perfume scents, so I went with jasmine and rose.

I make my own cuticle oil. It's easy, cheap and there are dozens of recipes online. Most of them are jojoba-based, but feel free to add other oils or ingredients for added benefits. If you wanna keep it simple, jojoba oil straight from the bottle will work wonders all by itself.

Try to keep some kind of cuticle balm or oil on your person at all times. Treat it like chapstick for your nails. Rub a little on your nails every time you remember, you really can't do it too much. Keep your hands clean, but don't excessively expose them to water or harsh chemicals. Use gloves when cleaning (extremely important, borderline non-negotiable), and groom your cuticles daily.

Nail hardening polishes aren't bad but they're not the best. They can help protect your nails in a pinch, but they tend to overcorrect, making your nails more prone to breaks. If you can, I recommend getting a few mani supplies instead, like polish and orange sticks/a cuticle pusher. You'll want a barrier over your nails at pretty much all times. I'm biased toward gel, so I recommend a base coat, a topcoat, and a rubber builder gel. Normal polish is perfectly fine if you don't wanna fuss with UV or have an allergy. Just get a top, a base, and whatever color you want to wear whether it's nude or something fun. I don't care if you're masc or a man. You don't need a color on your nails if you don't want it but you will need something. Top coats come in matte if you don't like shine. If you're going with gel you have to use a rubberized base coat. Most biters have thin, flat nail beds that need support as they grow out. Rubber base gels provide protection and flexibility.

Rubber base coat + (whatever color you want) + top coat = profit.

Soak the polish off and replace it when it grows out (every week or two for me, but it depends on how fast your nails grow), but make sure to give your fingers a day or overnight to breathe between sets (if you wear anything heavier than a few coats of polish). Darker colors like deep reds or black can stain pretty fast, even with a base coat. Don't be alarmed if you remove your polish to see that they're brownish. You're fine. You haven't given yourself some horrible nail disease.

If you're starting off with broken skin, protect it. Wear a bandage over your boo-boos until they've healed up. Get a pair of nippers and get into the habit of using them to clip off hang nails or peeling skin. Don't let me catch you biting them off with your teeth. No, it's not fine just because it isn't your actual nail.

Controversial, but I don't recommend running to the nail salon in your first month of recovery. Fake nails are amazing for protecting your real ones as they grow out, but if you've just decided to stop biting, I'd wait a while before getting a set. 2-4 weeks at least. You'll want to begin the process of breaking your muscle memory before spending upwards of 50 bucks on a set that you'll just be tempted to eat off. Fake nails are not a replacement chew toy, they're a shield. I also recommend that you keep them as short as you can, just barely longer than your natural nail if not the same length. It may be tempting to go for those sexy stilettos or 2-inch coffins but trust me, life is different with longer nails. You have to work your way up to that length. Even a few millimeters can make a huge difference in how you function and you don't want to risk damaging your natural nails.

I also use Hard as Hoof cream before bed and after every shower and hand wash - that's really important. You'll always want to oil up your fingies. It's about 8 dollars USD and I thiiiink you can get it at drug stores. I get mine on Amazon. It really is a wonder product for your nails and really nice on my dry ass knuckles too.

I've been a nail-biter for over 25 years and this is the farthest I've ever gone without a relapse. Seeing my bell-shaped nails slowly return to a normal shape has been so reassuring. I always believed I'd gnawed myself into ugly nails forever, but nature is finally healing.

No matter how bad your nails look, recovery is possible! Be friendly to yourself. If you've been biting for years, you won't recover in 2 weeks. It's a process, and I believe in you.
