“Why couldn’t this have waited until another day?” Gun muttered, unbuttoning his shirt, letting it slide off his taut frame, and neatly folding it, placing it onto the roof of his car. He was glad he hadn't put his jacket on, having left it in his passenger seat. “I can’t dirty my clothes again, [Name] will be mad if I get blood on it.” He rolled his broad shoulders until they released a satisfying crack, his thick muscles bulging as he stretched his arms across his scarred chest. Gun peered at a nearby store, the digital clock displaying in big white numbers, ‘7:45 PM’. He groaned, his lips curling into a scowl whilst his arms fell to his side. He didn’t have enough time to deal with this.
“Hmm, and it’s almost time for our date. Fuck.” Gun whispered to himself. He clenched his fists, narrowing his eyes at the man across from him. He removed his shades and revealed his dark gaze, placing his favorite accessory to his side as well. “I’ll make this quick, Goo. I have more important places to be.”
Goo laughed, grinning in his spot as he balanced a pole in his hands. He rolled his eyes, arching a brow at his partner. “Tsk, tsk, tsk, Gun, maybe if you didn’t spend all your time by [Name]’s side, we could have dealt with this matter much earlier. That girl has you wrapped around her pretty little finger, huh?”
“Shut it,” Gun said, already racing towards the blonde and thrusting his fist, knuckles colliding with metal. Upon the cold sensation meeting his skin, he wanted to absolutely kill Goo and rip him to shreds. This would take longer than he wanted, wasting his already precious, short time. He backed off, having a considerable distance between the two, stretching his fingers a few times before clenching them again. He growled, spitting venomously,  “You just like picking fights.”
“You did too. Before you met her, y’know,” Goo tutted, waving his finger in the air. He scoffed, voice low, “Who would’ve thought? Gun going soft for a girl. Psh, pathetic. Never thought I’d live to see the day...” The blonde trailed off, his face becoming stoic, his mind wandering. You truly had to be someone exceptional if you managed to have a guy like Gun to fall for you. He always wondered who you were, how you looked like, what you did, but Gun had kept you a secret from the world of crime. He hid almost every known trace abou you and tied every loose end that implicated you existed. No one knew who you were and no one could find you — unless Gun allowed them to.
Goo found it so irritating how he was unable to know the girl who made such a notorious gangster go soft.
He only met you once and that was by pure sheer luck; dropping by unexpectedly at one of Gun's apartments, only to be met with the sight of you. Seeing how Gun reacted, he knew you were supposed to be kept hush-hush. But boy, did he have a field day the next time he saw the man.
Goo had to meet you again. Or at least, know you more.
Only when Gun’s fist connected with Goo’s face did the man snap out of his thoughts, the impact of such force throwing him a few feet backwards. He dug his feet into the floor, a high-pitched screech coming from his shoes as the rubber burned against the pavement. With his sleeve, Goo wiped his cheek, seeing a speck of blood staining his clothes. Goo chuckled, standing up straight with a grin, “If I can remember right, you told me you got Eli Jang in trouble for basically the same thing. What was her name again? Heather?”
Goo blocked the upcoming attack, his pole raised and crossed above his face. He pushed Gun back with an effortless swing of the pole. He tilted his head and scratched the back of his head with his free hand. “How is [Name] any different from Heather? What does she have on you?”
Gun twisted his neck gently until he heard a crack, looking back at Goo as he hissed with venom, “Nothing.”
“Let me think, let me think….” Goo hummed, racking his mind for any possibility that someone like Gun would stay with a woman longer than one night. His face lit up and he broke out into a wide grin, pointing a finger at Gun. “Aha! You got the poor girl knocked up, right?! See, I always tell you to wear protection! Just couldn’t keep it in your pants, hm? Shaaame.”
“Ugh, fuck no. I don’t want kids and neither does she. We made that clear at the beginning," Gun said with a sneer, annoyed beyond comprehension at Goo's antics.
“Awe, I really thought she held something over you. How about this: I’ll stop fighting you if you tell me why you’re still with such a pretty girl like [Name]? Deal?" Goo offered, slinging the pole onto his shoulder. His eyes darkened as he spat maliciously, knowing each word would wind and rile Gun's emotions. "She deserves better than a perverted gangster, you both know that.”
Gun stayed silent, the corners of his lips tugging down into a frown. Goo’s last words struck a chord in him, sending a pang through his heart upon hearing an insecurity he’ll never admit to. Of course. Everyone told you to stay away from a man like Gun. People kept telling you you will only get hurt in the end, that a better man will come along and sweep you off your feet if you just waited, or you could always do better than him. But you never listened. You stayed by his side, even when the whole world looked down on you two. Even for months, he tried convincing himself he felt nothing for you, but after a while, he finally accepted that someone managed to tear down his walls and enter his hollow, cold heart — you.
You were just a different kind of girl - no- a different kind of woman. A special woman he had the pleasure of meeting. One he wouldn’t dare let go of now that he has the privilege of calling you ‘mine’. And by any god out there, he won’t be a stupid fool to lose you.
Gun sighed. “I tell you and you’ll put this stupid fight behind us, right?”
Goo placed a hand over his chest, replying shortly, “You have my word.~”
“[Name] is just that special person you meet once in your life. One you know you can’t let go of because there isn’t another like her. Simple as that.”
“What?! Ugh, don’t be boring! Tell me more!”
“You asked why I  stayed with her and I told you.”
“Yeah, but I expected a story, not some sad attempt at an old man’s wise words.”
A low guttural sound rumbled in Gun’s throat, his eye twitching. “Maybe when I’m in a better mood I’ll tell you, but if you’ll excuse me, I have a date with my woman.”
Goo groaned and tossed his pole to the side, rolling his eyes and grumbling, "Fiiine, but you owe me a story. "
"Whatever—damnit," Gun looked at the clock once again and his face contorted into one of pure irate. "I'm late."
'8:12 PM'
✦✦✦ ✦✦✦
Your head rested on your hand, balancing a glass of wine between your fingers, twirling the cup as the liquid swished around. Your eyes were looking down on the glory of Gangdong, the shimmering, blinding lights of the city mesmerizing you. The city always looked beautiful at this time of night. You just wished you could enjoy it with the person you cherished. A sigh leaves your lips and you look away, eyes trailing to the other tables over the balcony.
The lingering eyes of many strange men didn't faze you anymore, the two burly boys surrounding your table always making them avert their gaze as fast as it landed. A courtesy of your boyfriend, who was at least thirteen minutes late, who insisted on you needing to be guarded at all times. You knew if he were here, no one would dare to even breathe in your direction, let alone glance.
The cool air pricked your skin and a shiver passed through your body, reminding you of where you were. For a man as smart as him, Gun tended to neglect keeping the season in mind when planning your dates. Nonetheless, you were happy he went out of his way to take you out on such a busy schedule.
You jumped in your seat, snapping out of your thoughts. A jacket was wrapped around your frame, warmth immediately enveloping you as the fabric made contact with your bare skin. You looked up and smiled.
Gun stood behind you, towering over your sitting form as he made sure you were nice and covered. His coat basically swallowed you whole. A small stuffed animal was tucked under his arm, it’s fluffy fur peeking out. He walked over to take his seat, pulling the chair out, and wasting no time to slip in. He waved to the guards and they nodded, beginning to clear the scene of people.
“Sorry I’m late, [Name],” Gun started, taking the stuffie out from underneath his arm and presenting it to you. Oh, how adorable. "I brought you a gift as an apology."
A small brown otter sat in his palms, barely taking up Gun's hands. It’s beady, plastic eyes looked straight at you, a little smile stitched onto its snout. A snort left you. The sight of such a well-dressed, intimidating man carrying such an adorable toy was  amusing. "Really now? Just a cute toy, Gun?"
Gun sighed and sat up a bit from his chair, leaning over the table, and cupping your face as he planted a gentle kiss on your cheek. As quick as it started, Gun's lips left and he was seated once again. You pout. "Don't give me that look, [Name]. We can do more at home if you want but not here."
"It's not wrong to be disappointed in no kiss on the mouth after not seeing your boyfriend for such a long time. Don't you think I deserve it?"
Gun smirked, placing his shades on the table and taking your hand, intertwining your fingers together. He gave a light squeeze and you didn't miss a beat as you squeezed his coarse hand back. The way you pursed your lips and looked at him with such glossy, innocent eyes made his heart swell. With such a pretty, cute face, it was hard to say no to you. "Hmm, maybe. But Olly told me you crossed paths with Hostel A." Gun spoke, slipping his hands from yours and picking up his dinnerware, quickly cutting the savory meat into pieces. He didn't hesitate to put a piece up to your mouth, a hand underneath so as to not have the juice leak. "I was told you nearly broke the Uncles' bones and Big Daddy himself."
Your face scrunched up and you scoffed, shaking your head. You placed the stuffed animal to the side, petting it. "Figured those assholes wouldn’t tell you everything. The ‘uncles’ wouldn’t leave me alone and I thought Olly was another one of those bastards,” you snap, sitting back in your seat with a scowl. “How was I supposed to know he was trying to help when he dresses like that? I thought he was trying to assault me for God’s sake!”
Gun placed down his fork on his plate and his face twisted into one of fury, eyes turning cold and rigid as all the warmth disappeared whilst his lips curled back into a nasty frown. You almost thought his infamous scowl was directed towards you, but you knew better. You dear boyfriend wouldn't dare lay a single finger on you if it didn't bring you pleasure. "They what?"
You smiled softly, placing your hand over his as it clenched into a fist. With your small attempt at trying to soothe him by rubbing small circles, you spoke with a bit of hesitation, "Ah, yeah. They kept trying to get my number and wouldn't let me leave the booth I was in. I had no other choice than to use the training you taught me. Since I never met Olly, I really thought he was just another one of them and I reacted before thinking, making me attack him too."
Gun scoffed, shaking his head as he listened to your explanation with disbelief, every word fueling his rage of someone daring to hit on his woman. Every fiber in Gun's body screamed, wanting to feel their skin underneath his fists as he pounded them into oblivion. But the only thing stopping him was his date with you. For now, he'll put his anger aside to be with you and keep you happy. Who knows how long he'll be gone and when he'll see you again. The man has to make every second count.
Yet, he couldn’t let this go unpunished.
"Fuck." Gun leans closer to you and sits on the edge of his chair. Placing his hand over yours, he slips his fingers to grasp your palm, and lifts your hand to his lips, pressing tender kisses against your knuckles. His thumb grazing softly across your fingers and his eyes flutter shut. You couldn't help but stare in awe, never quite seeing him like this.
So careful with you, so gentle, you were surprised he wasn't seething in his seat and threatening to break their heads open. Gun opens his eyes and looks up at you, shaking in his seat. “I promise I’ll have those fuckers begging on their knees for your forgiveness. They should know better than to treat a woman with such rudeness and disrespect. Shit, I’ll go right now. I’ll beat them till-”
Your sweet laugh reaches his ears, cutting him off from his little speech. You lean in and pull in his hand to your lips, pressing a tender peck to his coarse knuckles. Gun felt his heart race and skip a beat at the sight, shock crossing his features. You look up, looking at your boyfriend with mirthful eyes. “As much fun as that sounds, I'd rather you stay here. Please? I want to spend as much time with you before you go back to work.”
The man stayed silent for a few seconds, taking in your words. He looked away, clicking his tongue before he broke out into a small smile, a blush blooming across his cheeks and the tip of his ears burning a bright red. “Of course, [Name]. Though, you could’ve just said you like spending time with me.”
Giggling, you lower your hands and shake your head. “Gun, of course I like spending time with you. You’re my favorite person and I love you after all.” Your voice said those three words with such fondness, it’s as if the man was in a dream.
If your words from before didn’t send Gun over the edge, your proclamation of love surely did now. He looked down, grinning like an idiot, showing a soft, bashful side he’s never revealed to anyone before. He swore his heart would jump out of his throat from how fast it was pounding against his ribcage. Gun grasped your hand tightly and sighed blissfully, Gently, he spoke, gazing at you with loving eyes, “I love you too.”
You smiled.
The tension in the air grew to be too much and both of you found it unbearable, wanting to do what both of you have been waiting for for weeks.
Both of you sat up and leaned over the table, closing the gap between you two as your lips interlocked, slipping together like if you were made for eachother. The kiss sparked and fed the fire both of you held in your hearts, burning brighter with every moment you spent at one another’s side. Gun couldn’t help but smile against your mouth.
As much as he hated being apart from you for so long, moments like these made the long hours worth it. If working so much meant he could provide for you, then he wouldn't mind doing it for the rest of his life if you had a roof over your head and a nice, warm meal at night.
Afterall, you were his woman.
And he loved you.

I hope you’re waiting for me.
A/N: I hope you all enjoy, this is a sad one but I hope you all enjoy 💕
Summary: Mob!Tom doesn’t know what he’d do without you and unfortunately he has to find a way to live without you.
Warnings: Death, swearing, just pure heartbreak.
W/C: 2.1K
The event was beautiful, much different to the events you’d attended before, Tom had his arm around your waist as he kissed at your cheek. He was so smitten with you, the wedding ring he’d gotten you was shining in under the fluorescent lights, everyone had commented on how beautiful it was. He loved you with everything he had, you’d been married just short of a month, and this was the first event you’d attended.
You became used to the looks of jealousy thrown your way by this point. Most women wondered how you had done it, how had you gotten the Mob boss so wrapped around your finger that he proposed. Women had tried so hard to gain his attention, but none ever succeeded, he wasn’t interested and by now they’d all gotten the message, he looked at you like you were the only important person in the room.
“I wanna take you into that bathroom and fuck you right now.” Tom groaned into your ear, the white knee length dress you had on was driving him wild. He’d already had it around your waist once today, your legs still slightly shaky from the encounter and you doubted it wouldn’t be the last.
“Calm down.” You hummed as he trailed his hand down your back and squeezed your behind.
“You look so good though.” Tom smiled as he kissed your cheek.
“Mr and Mrs Holland.” You heard a voice say and your stomach dropped. This was one man you hated, he was your typical mob leader, greasy, sexist, everything you hated in a man. “How was the honeymoon, I expect we’ll be expecting a young Holland to join the mix now.” He said and your hand instinctively fell to your stomach. You weren’t pregnant but you were trying.
“It was lovely, thank you.” Tom said, he knew how to keep the peace where you didn’t know what to say.
“Brilliant, well I hope to see you soon.” He said as he walked away, you instantly relaxed.
“I hate him.” You whispered into Tom’s ear, getting on your tiptoes to rest your head on his shoulder as Tom laughed.
“You hate most people in this room.” He teased back. “Makes me wonder how I ever got you to fall in love with me.”
“You have your advantages.” You teased him.
You both watched as a man approached, you didn’t recognize him, and Tom didn’t seem to either.
“To the happy couple.” He said with a smile that set you on edge, you instinctively moved further into Tom’s side. He raised his glass at the two of you and you heard a gun shot resonate through the room, everyone stopped what they were doing. A scream rang out through the room, and you felt as people started to move towards the exit as people burst through the doors around you.
You felt out of place, a pain in your stomach spreading like wildfire. Your hand clutched at it and as you lifted it you saw the blood coating it. It was surreal, how you hadn’t noticed the pain until this point, you hadn’t felt the pain until it ripped through you all of a sudden.
“Tom?” You said weakly but he didn’t hear you as he moved you out of the way, grasping your hand that wasn’t covered in blood and rushing you both through a door and into a corridor.
“Tom, boss- “Harrison joined the two of you and stopped in his tracks. “Y/N/N?” He said quietly as he took in your appearance, Tom turning his attention to his wife, and he felt his heart stop. Your face was pale, blood seeping through your wound. That shot was meant for you and it turned his blood cold, how had he missed it.
“Baby?” Tom said slowly as you looked at him, fear evident in your eyes. Another gunshot rang through the corridor, and you didn’t even have the energy to react, you understood now, you were the target.
“Tom, we need to move.” Harrison spoke as he fired a shot off that hit the guy straight in the head.
Tom picked you up bridal style as you clutched onto your wound, the amount of blood leaving your system made your head feel dizzy as Tom and Harrison moved themselves quickly through the corridors, they were saying things to each other, but you didn’t catch any of it. Harrison had to take charge of this one, Tom wasn’t focused, he was too wrapped up in what was happening to you.
You didn’t look good, and Harrison’s stomach dropped, he knew there was a small chance you’d survive this, the possibility of you seeing tomorrow was not likely. Tom looked lost, mindlessly following his friend through the corridors. Harrison killed god knows how many people, relief flooding his system as he saw the car.
“Baby?” Tom coaxed you back into consciousness. “Hey, I need you to stay with me okay?” He said. “I’m going to get you to a doctor.” He spoke as he removed his jacket. Somehow you’d ended up in the back of his van, you were led across the seats, Tom awkwardly in the footwell. “Princess, you’re going to make it through this okay?” He said as he pressed the jacket to your wound. Your blood covering everything in its path.
“Tom,” you said, and it was so weak that Tom’s heart stopped. He clung onto the tiny amount of hop that his wife was going to be okay. He couldn’t think about losing you, not now, not ever.
“Baby, shh,” he said as he used his free hand to smooth your hair. “Don’t talk, just focus on me and stay with me.” He said, tears streaming down his face, no one had ever seen the man cry, and no one dare comment on it, the people in the car turning their attention elsewhere.
“Tom, I love you.” You said, you knew the wound was fatal now. You knew that this was how you were going to die, you felt so weak that you didn’t really care. You found comfort in having Tom here, he was with you, it’d be okay. “It’s okay.” You whispered as you felt your eyes drift closed.
“Y/N/N, no, no, come on princess, just stay awake, please for me.” He spoke, voice cracking.
“I’m tired.” You mumbled. “I love you.” You said again, you felt like your life was slipping from you, felt your heart beat slow.
“I love you so much princess, so so much.” He said as he put his forehead to yours. “I need you to hold on, we’re almost there and then the doctors going to fix you and we’ll be okay. You can’t die, not you Y/N/N. I can’t lose you.” Tom spoke but it fell on deaf ears, you’d gone.
Tom’s face completely paled as he sat there in shock, your chest no longer rising and falling. He panicked as he shook you.
“No, no, no. Y/N/N, wake up. Come on baby, wake up for me.” He said both hands falling above your chest as he attempted to bring you back.
Harrison couldn’t stop the tears as he pulled up outside the hospital. He hadn’t made it in time, you were gone, that sliver of hope crushed. He wanted to apologise to his friend, wanted to tell him how sorry he was.
“Tom, stop.” Haz said as he grabbed Tom from his awkward position and pulled him out of the car. “Tom, she’s gone.” Haz cried as Tom tried to rip himself from his grasp and get back to you. “Tom!” Harrison shouted, gaining the males attention, he watched as Tom collapsed onto the ground.
“It’s all my fault.” He whispered and Harrison’s heart broke.
“No Tom, it’s not.” Harrison motioned for one of the other men to get someone’s attention, your body needed removing from the back of the vehicle. Haz was glad they had it in with the chief of police, knowing that nothing would come of this. “It’s not your fault.”
“It fucking is. If I wasn’t who I am and I didn’t pursue her, she’d be alive.”
“She loved you Tom. Do you honestly think she didn’t know this would be a possibility? Tom she took the risk because she loved you.”
“And she was killed because of me!”
**
The funeral was hard, Tom had attended but as soon as it was over he’d left. Harrison had taken over the mob for now, Tom was unfit. Harrison found out who it was that had ordered the murder and kept it to himself, he couldn’t watch Tom fall further into the hole he was already in. Tom had taken it upon himself to almost lock himself in his bedroom.
It was two months after the funeral and Tom still hadn’t gotten rid of your stuff, nor had he gotten rid of the photos of the two of you. Harrison was trying to pull his friend from the darkness that consumed him, but nothing was working, he was lost without you. He’d come back a week ago, he was colder, much more than he’d used to be. He became unfair, almost unrealistic in his expectations of the men around him.
“Tom?” Harrison popped his head around his office door. Harrison stopped in his tracks, not prepared for the scene before him. “Mate?”
Tom was crying as he looked at the wedding ring that had sat on your finger, not noticing Harrison’s presence. He placed the ring down as he pulled one of your favourite hoodies from under his desk before stuffing his face into it as he started to cry uncontrollably.
“Tom?” Harrison panicked as he ran to his friend.
“It still smells like her.” He replied weakly, not removing his face and Harrison understood now why he hadn’t thrown your things out. “I want her back. I can’t do this without her.”
“Tom,” Harrison sighed. “She’d want you to move on. She loved you so much and she wouldn’t want you to be like this.”
“How do you know? How do any of us know what she’d want? She’s not here. She’s never coming back, and I don’t know what to do. I don’t want anyone else, the thought of another woman. Harrison I can’t. I love her more than you can possibly understand.” He cried into your hoody again.
**
It had taken a few years, but Tom was back to how he had been before he met you, he had a few one night stands here and there, they all had the same thing in common, they all looked like you had but none of them ever stayed, he wouldn’t do that. He always said that no other woman would ever be able to claim that place, it was always yours.
He wore your wedding ring on a chain around his neck, he never parted with it, never removed his own, it sat on his finger like it had since the day you’d put it there. No other woman was ever allowed into his bed, not in your place. He’s learned to deal with it in his own way and Harrison was glad he could have a laugh with his best friend again.
“Where’s Tom?” A man asked as they entered the meeting room, Tom wasn’t in his usual spot, Harrison filled it.
“It’s their anniversary.” Harrison said quietly.
There were 3 days and nights a year where Tom didn’t work; your birthday, your wedding anniversary and the date you died. He made his way to the small plot on the land of his estate, it was yours, you’d always found it peaceful in that corner of the garden and it stayed yours, the only gardener who was allowed to touch it was the one who knew exactly how you liked it.
“Hi baby.” Tom spoke as he laid the flowers on your gravestone. “I hope you’ve had a good day up there. I just know you’re the prettiest angel they have up there, you were down here.” He spoke as he wiped a tear from his cheek.
“I love you. I hope you’re waiting for me. I know I’m waiting for you.”

Chapter Eleven: I thought, “Heaven can’t help me now.”
When you wake, you have a strange sense of Deja Vu. Hotch is shaking your shoulder again, only this time, you’re not in your bed.
“We’re landing soon,” he says softly, hand lingering on your shoulder, but you welcome its weight and warmth, forgetting for a moment that the rest of the team is on this jet.
“Mm, okay…” You bring the blanket underneath your chin, only this is when you realize it’s not a blanket.
You tilt your head down to look at the fabric, then lift your eyes back up to see Hotch isn’t wearing his jacket.
His jacket.
Oh my God.
He sees the realization on your face and smiles, but instead of commenting on it, he turns to start waking the others. As expected, Rossi didn’t sleep, but Reid is still quite frankly passed out. Emily, JJ, and Morgan are coming around, though, and upon seeing that, you scramble to get Hotch’s jacket off of you, catching Rossi’s eyes in the process.
“You were cold,” Rossi says with a shrug, and a smirk.
You shouldn’t be mortified, but you are.
After folding Hotch’s jacket over your arm, you wait until your boss is sitting back down to hand it to him with a raised eyebrow. “Thank you,” you whisper.
“You’re welcome,” he says, thinking nothing of it as he shrugs it back over his shoulders. When he sees you’re still looking at him like that, he adds, “You were getting goosebumps. Would you have rather I let you freeze to death?”
Is he making a joke? You wonder, with the corners of his lips tugging upward. You shake your head, saying nothing else.
No wonder you slept so soundly.
+++
Upon arriving at the local police station, you’re all met with the usual: desperate officers who want you to snap your fingers and find the unsub ASAP.
And, they always look pretty displeased when you admit that you need time.
You swear sometimes people think the BAU is made up of sorcerers who can see the future and not regular humans who are just trained to recognize and predict behaviors.
Regardless, they’re happy you’re here.
“I was shocked myself when I made the connection,” Sheriff Ansley says, nodding to the pictures of the other seven victims, with Nathan and Jonathan at the end. “Those others were so spaced out, we just… Oh, it sounds bad, but when you’ve got other problems coming across your desk, they can all blur together.”
“We understand,” you say, trying to be the comforting one here, even though you’re feeling more and more like time doesn’t exist and that you’ve entered a third dimension.
A few hours of sleep and jet lag can really do a person in. Especially with the added stressor of Hotch standing next to you.
“Morgan, L/N, I need you to come to the crime scene with me,” Hotch says, and your eyes widen the moment your name slips from his mouth. Is he trying to mess with you? You figured after covering you up on the jet, he’d make a conscious effort to be as far away from you today as possible. Just because Morgan is also coming along doesn’t mean much. Profilers aren’t dense.
“Prentiss and I will go talk to the victim’s family,” Rossi says, nodding to Emily.
Reid says nothing, too engrossed by the pictures and details tacked up on the board. Though, after a moment, he says, “I need a map of the town. Maybe the region. Yeah...the region.”
A little confused, Sheriff Ansely replies, “We’ll get that for you.”
JJ notices the confusion and says, “I’ve got it, don’t worry.”
With everyone focused, you pile into a vehicle with Hotch and Morgan up front (you purposefully sit in the back) to head to the crime scene. Sheriff Ansley leads in her car, and about two seconds in, you wish you would’ve thought to ride with her.
“You know I have to ask,” Morgan begins, a shit-eating grin on his face as he looks over at Hotch. “What did you get up to last night? Get lucky?”
Hotch looks ready to backhand his fellow agent. “No.”
Morgan keeps going. “Come on, Hotch, it’s about time you get some.”
“For now, I’ll stick to the case.”
Morgan huffs, giving in, which you think is for the better. But when Morgan turns his head to look out the window, Hotch catches your eyes in the rearview mirror.
You sink as far down as you can in your seat, biting the inside of your cheek to hide your smile.
+++
You have no clue what you were expecting when you pictured the outside of Jonathan King’s house, but it wasn’t this.
A few police cars are already here, their men having already gone in to look around, but not touch anything. A few cars look tiny next to the monster that is the mansion you’re looking at.
“I thought this was a small town,” you mutter, closing the car door.
“Jonathan’s daddy was the owner of the only car dealership in town,” Sheriff Ansley explains. “They were big money.”
“I can tell,” you shake your head. “Definitely don’t have houses like this where I’m from.”
The sheriff chuckles. “Yeah. Before they built it, this was a wide open field. Tiny house. Space for all kinds of animals. Had a red barn out there,” she points off to where a gigantic pool complete with a rock waterfall is.
You hum. “A lot changes for the worse sometimes when money comes in.”
She looks at you then, almost like she respects you a little more now. Which isn’t unusual. The sheriffs in small towns don’t exactly like having to call the FBI in for help. Some do it rather begrudgingly. It’s more often than not that you find yourself being the bridge between big city and small town.
“Any signs of forced entry?” Hotch asks the first officer he sees and they shake their head.
“Nothing. But this damn mansion is so big…” He trails away, looking around at it all.
“I understand,” Hotch sighs. “If you find anything, let us know.”
“Hotch,” you speak up, nearly tapping his shoulder, but you quickly pull your hand back. “If this unsub is a woman, then it’s likely there won’t be any forced entry.”
The sheriff nods. “She has a point.”
“How?” Morgan asks, eyebrows furrowed over his sunglasses.
“Seriously?” You deadpan. “Do you want me to demonstrate?”
He catches on, and drawls, “Go right ahead,” prompting you to shove his shoulder.
“Focus,” Hotch scolds. “I hear you. He probably let her in.”
“Did Jonathan have a reputation of being a player?” Morgan asks. “Take a lot of girls out on dates? Get serious with a lot of them but never marriage-serious?”
Sheriff Ansley nearly snorts. “Oh, yeah. He was the town’s bachelor. New woman every week. Swore every single one was The One.”
You nod slowly. “He must’ve picked up the wrong one, then.”
“Evidently so,” she replies quietly, leading the three of you into the house.
Hotch opts for looking around the house with the sheriff while you and Morgan go to Jonathan’s bedroom.
And he’s still lying there. Wonderful.
You nearly gag, but stop yourself. You’re never going to get used to this shit. At least there isn’t blood literally drenching the walls like that other case.
Moving on.
“Looks like it’s the exact same MO,” Morgan comments, idly checking the body for anything the officers might’ve missed.
You dig around on Jonathan’s dresser, drawers, nightstand, everywhere.
“This guy was seriously rich,” you mutter, picking up a few really expensive watches. Upon opening one drawer, you literally find a wad of cash. At least two thousand dollars, stuffed in between pairs of socks. “The unsub didn’t take this?” You hold up the cash to Morgan.
“She must not’ve spent time here,” he concludes. “Doesn’t look like she took any trophies either.”
“I can’t imagine why,” you say, then crack a smile. “So you’re on my side then, huh?”
He turns his head, eyebrows furrowed. “What?”
“It’s a woman.”
Morgan chuckles. “Yeah, kiddo. I’m on your side. This has woman all over it.”
“Kiddo,” you groan, tossing the cash back in the drawer. “Any clothes from the unsub lying around? I’m guessing she’s smarter than that.”
“Yeah, there’s nothing,” Morgan says, going into the bathroom. “The window in here is locked tight.”
“I really doubt she forced her way in,” you say. “He probably took her out on a date, brought her inside willingly, and didn’t realize until it was too late that he should not have messed with her.” You pause. “Does this place have security cameras? It looks expensive enough to have them. We should get Garcia to get the footage.”
You’re too busy rambling to see that Morgan has walked back into the room, only this time he’s eyeing you carefully.
You turn your head, raising an eyebrow at him. “What?”
“Listen, I know these guys were…” He gestures rather than saying it.
“Rapists?” You say tiredly, placing your hands on your hips. No need to be afraid of saying the word around you. You’ve heard it plenty and said it yourself more times than you want to. “What about it?”
“I just wanted to say I know how good it can feel to see someone like that taken down,” Morgan says slowly. “And then you feel guilty for feeling good.”
You set your jaw, hating he’s right. You’ve yet to admit it to yourself, though. Isn’t it wrong? On multiple levels? You’re supposed to catch the bad guys, not relate to them so much that you understand why they’re doing this.
“And I know it can also bring up some bad memories, but, I’m here for you,” he says, keeping his eyes on yours. “I mean that.”
“Thanks, Derek,” you whisper. “It does...kinda feel good, but...I know it’s the wrong way to do it.”
“Do what?”
“Make a difference,” you shrug. “If I killed Trevor, I’d be taking the short route. That’s why I’m here. To make a bigger difference.”
He smiles then, gently. “And you’re doin’ it. Trust me.”
You let yourself smile, too. “Thanks. Now let’s get back to work before boss man comes in here telling us to focus,” you mimic Hotch’s voice and tone at the end, making yourself laugh as you turn back around.
And that’s when you have the absolute shit scared out of you because Hotch is standing there, frowning at you. Oh, he totally heard that.
“Sorry, sir,” you murmur, knowing you should apologize while you’re ahead.
Thankfully, to save yourself from embarrassment, Morgan’s phone starts ringing. He pulls it out and puts it on speaker.
“Talk to me, babygirl.”
“All of our other victims? Yeah, they were accused of rape, too. Four of them were acquitted or blatantly dismissed, three of them with such short sentences it probably felt like a vacation.”
You roll your eyes. “Sounds about right.”
Hotch eyes you, but talks to Garcia. “Get us a list of anyone in this region that fits those same criteria.”
“Already done, and it is heading to JJ as we speak.”
Morgan shakes his head at how good she is. “Oh, and check and see if you can get the footage from Jonathan’s security cameras at his house. Y/N thinks he should have some.”
“She’s correct, I just found them,” Garcia says, no doubt through a smile. “I’ll send the footage over and start looking.”
“We should get back to the station and go over those names, see if we can narrow it down at all,” Hotch says. “Hopefully Garcia can get us something from that video.”
+++
Garcia gathers one thing from the video, but it’s not anything to do with facial recognition.
For now, it’s obvious this woman is a strong suspect because she’s the only one seen entering and leaving the house (she walked out right through the front door with her head down) in the window of time that Jonathan was killed. But...
“There’s not a clear shot at all,” Garcia says. “Because they’re… How do I put this? His lips are basically attacking her face and it’s a miracle they made it inside instead of just going at it against the door.”
Morgan snorts out a laugh, Reid (who is working on connecting the nine victims further) goes impossibly red, and Hotch shakes his head.
“Well, we’ve got a physical description now,” Rossi says, trying to see the bright side before Hotch loses it, you’re sure.
“Yeah, but it’s just a young brunette in a dress and heels,” Emily argues. “That’s nowhere near narrow enough.”
“Brown hair is actually the second most common hair color,” Reid supplies. “The most common is black, but they’re usually lumped together in studies. A recent one found that 84% of the world’s population has dark hair. But, of course, women are more likely to color their hair than men—”
“We got it, kid,” Morgan says gently, tapping Reid’s shoulder to get him to slow down.
“So,” you chuckle, “she has dark hair, which are the two most common hair colors.” Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a thought occurs to you. “Wait, can I see the video again?”
Garcia plays it again.
“Pause there,” you point to the woman’s hands. “See how she reaches for his wrist?”
“Where are you going with this?” Morgan asks.
It’s then that it occurs to you just where you’re going with this, and you try to hide your embarrassment.
“You can play it again.” After a few seconds, you get Garcia to pause again. “See? She tries to pin his wrists. She’s dominating. She’s the one in control there. See how his back is against the door, too? He didn’t start that way, she turned them around to get the upper hand.”
“So she’s confident,” Emily ponders.
“In sexual situations, at least,” you add. “Some women who are outwardly shy, but like to dominate in bed. It can be different for everyone.”
“So you’re saying we’re looking for a super quiet, shy woman?”
“Not necessarily. Given that she has had enough confidence to kill these nine men without anyone noticing, I’d be willing to bet she’s pretty confident now. It could be a newfound confidence, or she honestly could have always been this way. A lot of Dominatrixes are pretty confident outside of the bedroom, too. Maybe not in the same way, but they are. Just comes with the territory.”
“A territory you seem to know a lot about,” Morgan teases, poking your shoulder.
You scoff. “You wish.”
But your eyes find Hotch’s and you feel another rush go through you, all the way to your toes. You burn every single time you’re underneath his gaze. Averting your eyes quickly back to the screen, you try to shift in your seat in the least noticeable way.
It’s not like he doesn’t already know. If he seriously doesn’t know or at least have some suspicion, then you might suggest he get a new profession.
Redirecting the attention back to the case, Hotch turns to Sheriff Ansley and says, “We’re ready to give a preliminary profile.”
The team stands to head out to the main area. You and Hotch are the last two left, which you’re sure he did deliberately.
“You should take the lead,” he says, and you swear, your heart falls out of your ass.
“What?” You’ve never taken the lead on a profile in your life. Why would he just spring this on you right now? On this case, of all cases? Seriously?
He doesn’t change his mind. “I trust you to get all of the details right. And we’ll jump in when needed, but I want you to take the lead.”
You’re shaking your head. “Hotch, I haven’t—”
“It’s an order,” he says, voice firm. “Understood?”
“Yes.”
He raises an eyebrow. “Yes what?”
Bastard. He did it again. “Yes sir.”
And your jaw nearly ends up on the floor when he smirks, a quiet, “Good girl,” falling from his lips.
Damn him. Now you’re supposed to give the profile? How bad would it be to let Emily take over so you can jump Hotch in the nearest supply closet?
You never find out how bad it would be because Hotch walks out and thanks the officers for being there, and introduces you, giving you zero time to recover.
“Thank you so much for your patience,” you say first. “The unsub we’re looking for is, in fact, a woman, confirmed by some security footage that was recovered from Jonathan King’s home. She’s a brunette, average height, attractive, and she’s confident. She’s killed nine times and hasn’t been caught yet, so she’s likely to be gaining confidence.”
An officer raises his hand, so you nod to him. “No offense...but your description fits practically every girl in this town -- I guess, besides the killing part.”
“That’s what we figured,” you admit. “Unfortunately, this kind of unsub is the hardest to catch. They don’t stand out at all, they blend right in. It’s partly why they go so long without being caught.”
“But they’re not impossible to catch,” Rossi adds, helping you out with the annoyed officers. “This unsub has already killed twice in a week, which could be a sign that she’s beginning to devolve. When they’re in this state, they are easier to catch because they tend to get reckless and forget things, change patterns, which is what we need.”
“So we need to keep a tight lid on this for now,” JJ says. “The media isn’t going to cover this at all tonight because we need our unsub to believe she’s still getting away with it.”
Another officer pipes up. “If the news isn’t gonna report this, how can we keep people safe?”
It’s a valid question. It’s one that you always get when you decide to not have media coverage.
“Keep an eye out. And don’t take any women home,” Morgan offers.
But that doesn’t seem good enough, because the same officer says, “All due respect, sir, but asking a man not to do that is like asking him not to breathe.”
The amount of laughter and you got that right’s that you hear from the other male officers makes your stomach twist. Morgan’s small laugh makes you want to smack him.
“Well, try to refrain for a while,” you state plainly, bringing the focus back around. “If you can help it.”
Another officer says, “I don’t know if I can…” and clicks his tongue mockingly.
“Well, this unsub targets rapists,” you say loudly, placing emphasis on the word. “So if you aren’t a rapist, consider yourself safe and sound.”
That causes an uncomfortable silence to settle over the room, but you could care less. It should make them uncomfortable. It’s unfair that it’s something women have to just live with. It’s bullshit.
Emily and JJ share a look with you, the only kind women can understand. Makes you want a drink. And it’s not even late afternoon yet.
Rossi helps draw things to a close while Hotch practically stares you down. Not subtle at all. You feel it, and for that reason, you don’t look at him. But he’s hard to ignore.
Especially when he walks over and says, “I need to have a word with you,” and walks past you, giving you no choice but to follow.
Well, you could choose not to follow, but you’re not so sure you want to take your chances there. Not that the thrill of the idea doesn’t get you all excited, but now is not the time or place.
So, with your heart racing and your annoyance showing clearly on your face, you follow your boss to an office at the end of the hall. He’s waiting for you, already inside, and he doesn’t look happy.
What’s new?
He shuts the door behind you, his arms crossing over his chest again.
After a few moments of silence, you raise your eyebrows. “What?”
“Don’t be a brat,” he says sternly, causing your stomach to twist for different reason. “And don’t say what. You know what.”
You shake your head slowly. “I don’t, actually. That’s why I asked.”
He looks ready to absolutely devour you in the worst way possible, yet he doesn’t move. “I understand that after the case in your hometown—”
“God, why does everyone keep bringing that up?” You’re two seconds away from throwing your hands in the air like a child, but you stop yourself after the look he gives you.
“Because it just happened three weeks ago,” he replies, voice even. “And because it took a toll on you. That’s not something to be ashamed of, it’s just a fact.”
“You’ve never been up my ass about cases like this, not until you found out.”
“My knowing has not changed anything,” he says, and you think he might mean it. “And last I checked, this is your first case with a female unsub attacking rapists.”
You could punch him. You really want to punch him. “What’s your point?”
“I need to know that you can be objective,” he says. “I know you relate to our unsub. I know how easy it was for you to put yourself in her shoes. You did it almost immediately. I bet you knew it was a female unsub within the first few seconds of the debriefing.”
He’s right. Dammit. “And?”
“I need you to be on our side of this case.”
“I am!”
“Are you?” He counters. “If you knew who this unsub was, would you turn her in?”
“Are you suggesting—”
“Hypothetically.”
“Yes! For God’s sake, yes, I would turn her in.”
“Are you being honest with me?”
“What is wrong with you today?” You ask, crossing your arms over your chest. “If you have something else to say you might as well say it while we’re alone.”
He doesn’t move. Or say a single word.
So much for that.
“Look,” you uncross your arms, tired of fighting already. It’s exhausting on any normal day, but pair it with jet lag and it being between you and the man you obviously care for, and it’s a million times more exhausting. “Yes, I get where this unsub is coming from. Honestly, if it was legal and if there was a market for a job like what she’s doing, I probably would’ve gone into it instead of the FBI. But there isn’t. Because killing people is illegal. So I decided to go to the FBI to make a bigger difference— a real difference. Yes, I relate to the unsub. I get why she’s doing what she’s doing. But just because I get it doesn’t make it right.”
“Good,” he nods. “That’s all I needed to hear.”
You furrow your eyebrows. “I shouldn’t have even had to say it.”
The room falls silent.
Hotch sees it then, that look in your eyes. During the profile, it was all determination and confidence. When you entered the office, it was bratty and defiant.
Now, it’s hurt.
That’s all he sees. And frankly, that’s all you’re feeling.
Since he doesn’t say anything else, you take it upon yourself to say, “Excuse me,” and join the team in the conference room with only one question on your mind.
Does he not trust me at all?

You’ve Got a Friend in Me
Summary: You deserve to be my brother.
Author’s Note: I won’t go on a rant here many of you have already done so and much more eloquently than I can, Han Seo deserved to live and I think it would have been so much more original and refreshing if they didn’t kill the victimized character who was finally getting a second lease on life with his new family. If any of you read BMTL you know that I have a weak spot for abused characters and when they are treated this way I can’t stand for it. So join me here in this alternate reality where puppy does not die and instead he gets the love and rebirth that he deserves.
Tumblr media
Everything is white hot pain, and he wonders if this is what death feels like and if so why must this suffering follow him even into death? When will he finally be free from agony if not now? There are a flurry of sounds surrounding him but nothing decipherable until he hears, “Clear!” a voice shouts in the distance but he doesn’t know who that is, where exactly would someone like him go after death? Surely he hasn’t atoned enough for his sin of compliance to be granted a passage to pearly gates or a gracious omnipresent presence, there is only one place for someone like him. Hell.
It doesn’t scare him, not with the life that he has lived. His hell started a long time ago, with a father that couldn’t be bothered with him no matter how many bruises and cuts littered his prepubescent body. Those very marks put there by the one person he desperately wanted to please, his hyung. That has been hell, a long enduring and never-ending hell and almost demonically poetic that was the cause of his very demise. The bullet through his ribs was nothing compared to every day of his life, up until he met Vincenzo and saw what living was supposed to be like. He had never truly lived before and the very moment he had started that had been snatched from his bloody hands.
Fuck it all. He was ready to go.
But regardless of his acceptance the pain sears on and he can see the ghastly face of Vincenzo peering down at him, eyes red rimmed and those words that he had longed to hear since he was born into his world and realized that there was someone whom he was supposed to call brother.
You deserve to be my brother.
“We’re losing him! Let’s do it again, clear!”
Electricity floods his body and its nothing like anything he has ever felt before and he can feel his consciousness fading away, his thoughts drifting away until there is nothing left behind, just silence and regrets.
Beep...Beep....Beep....Beep....
The constant sound jars him from his slumber and once again pain resurges in his body winding him before he can even bring himself to peel his heavy eyelids open, that battle almost enough to defeat him but he can feel a presence beside him and an unexplainable desperation forces him to see who it is. It feels like his very life depends on it.
Little by little, he starts to peer his eyes open feeling the strain as he tenses and squirms under the pressure and finally they are open and his vision swirls unfocused and dizzy, staring at a painfully white ceiling and one single yellow tinted light. His brain supplies his location, the hospital. And then it takes a longer moment to realize the implications of his whereabouts, but after a moment’s pause he gasps feeling the dryness of his tongue and the cracks on his lips. Everything hurts, every fiber of his being is in insufferable agony but he almost weeps because that only means he’s alive. Somehow he had survived.
With the minor strength he has he turns his head towards the figure next to him and his breath comes out in a shocked huff when he sees the dark figure in the chair, they had said their final goodbyes already and he had accepted that the only true brother that he’d had was taken from him, punishment for being born in this family. Yet, Vincenzo sits there sleeping looking pained even in his slumber a grimace across his face and his brows furrowed in distress. immediately he thinks about Ms. Hong, the blood staining her shirt and her body crumpling to the ground as she took a bullet for the man she loved. If Vincenzo was here with him looking like that did that mean she was...?
No. It couldn’t be. His brother had already taken away Vincenzo’s mother he couldn’t have stolen the woman he loved too. That was simply too cruel a fate for the man. But why else would the man be here? This thought drives him to move, only able to move his hand but it’s enough to knock the consigliere from his peace less rest, he wakes as if he was not sleeping in the first place eyes immediately blinking open and hyper focused. He vaguely wonders if that is a survival skill of all members of the Mafia?
They stare wordlessly at each other and before he can say a word Vincenzo is reaching across the small space and embracing him, his arms are ever gentle as they pull him in and his head is stuffed into the other man’s neck. He lays frozen unprepared for the sudden show of affection and still not used to hands on his body without the purpose of harming him but then his brain swirls to life and he pushes past the pain to reach up and clutch at the smooth material of Vincenzo’s suit jacket. At the first press of his fingers the other man grips him tighter, almost crushing him into his chest and it hurts, puts too much pressure on his wound but he won’t say anything doesn’t dare. This is the first time someone has hurt him because they cared about him. He wants to hold on to this precious moment forever.
“I’m so happy you’re okay. You lost so much blood and I really thought--”
“How’s Miss Hong? She is....Is that why you’re here? Please don’t tell me he really did it...Did he really kill her?”
He starts shaking at the notion, tears pooling in his eyes imagining the woman’s dead cold body.
It should have been me instead.
As carefully he held him Vincenzo releases him, those large gentle hands warm and soothing on his trembling shoulders.
“She’s fine. She’s in the room next to you. It’s all thanks to you, I can never thank you enough.”
Relief washes over him like a wave, he’s too weak to do anything but fall back into the plush bed beneath him.
She was okay. Thank goodness.
“What are you doing here? You should be with her. Go now, I’m not as important.” He means every word, he has never been anyone’s priority, no that’s for others he is nothing more than a nuisance and a punching bag.
“What are you saying? Do you remember what I said to you before you fainted?
He does. How could he forget? But that was merely something said in the heat of the moment. Or so he had thought but that thought was enough for him to welcome the hands of death.
“I see you remember. You are important to me. You’re my brother Han Seo-ah.”
He can’t fight the smile that tentatively crawls across his face, “You meant it? it wasn’t just because I was dying?” He asks sheepishly and he squeaks in pain when a finger flicks his across the nose, looking up affronted but giddy with the possibilities.
“I wouldn’t lie to someone on their death bed, I have principles you know.” Vincenzo huffs at him, striding across the room to pour a glass of water and he watches the liquid earnestly. When the older man pushes the tempting beverage in his direction he desperately wants to grab it but he finds that he can’t his body refusing to move.
“Can you help me drink it?” He watches the older man stare back at him, an eyebrow raised as he looks at him and peers back helplessly, “Please Hyung,” and surprisingly enough that’s all it takes for the Vincenzo to carefully cup his head and tilt the glass on his mouth, allowing the glorious nectar to soothe his parched throat. A dribble leaks out of the side of his mouth and he’s further floored when the other man wipes it away with a napkin, guiding him back against his pillows.
He tries to school his face into something less pathethic and pitiful but he knows that he’s not doing a great job, he can’t help it there has never been anyone like this for him. Never anyone who cared about him as Han Seo, not a pawn or someone to use or abuse, it’d enough to make everything he has gone through worth while.
He can’t contain his joy watching his brother tug up his sheet and tell him to get some rest, he’s never fallen asleep so easily and without a care in the world. He has nothing to fear, now that he has Vincenzo.
Tumblr media
He gets more visitors.
People from the plaza that used to look at him with distrustful eyes, now they bring him food and one time when he needs to use the bathroom the lady from the pawnshop singlehandedly lifts him and carries him to the toilet, his cheeks hurt from blushing and he makes everyone in the room promise to never mention it again.
They mention it at least four times a visit.
Sometimes even re-enacting it for the people who weren’t there on the day.
Ms. Hong laughs the loudly, ignoring Vincenzo’s helicoptering and warnings of her opening her wound, none of it stops her and he watches with soft eyes as the woman easily rests her head on his shoulder when she starts to feel lightheaded.
They are so sickening obvious sometimes.
He gets used to the company so days later when he finds himself alone, his insecurities rear their ugly heads. Telling him that they’ve forgotten him and they were only being kind because of Vincenzo and Ms. Hong, they didn’t really care about him or like him and those thoughts muffle his awareness preventing him from hearing the door slide open or the almost unperceivable footsteps that follow.
“You look better than I expected.”
He freezes at the voice, staring at his fingers because he’s not yet ready to face her.
He tried not to notice that she never came with the others, but that was futile and the hole in his chest stretched wider and wider each time they would show up and her glowing figure was missing.
“Did you hurt your mouth?”
He smarts at the comment, hurt by her seemingly dismissive attitude to him laying in a hospital bed.
“Like you care. You never visited before.”
Instantly he regrets the comment, she owes him nothing. They are nothing after all, barely even acquaintances. This crush is unrequited and he has no right taking out his frustrations on her, he was being too greedy.
He opens his mouth to apologize.
“I....... don’t like hospitals. They feel too much like the end.”
He stills at her chilling words, mouth slightly gaped.
Was she worried about him? Enough so that seeing him in a hospital bed was too jarring?
That couldn’t be it.
Could it?
“I’m sorry I didn’t come earlier. I always asked about you.”
A frown is etched into her pretty face and he can’t stand it so much that he blurts out, “ The pawn shop lady carried me to the bathroom once! I have never been so embarrassed, why is she so strong?!”
She stares at him blankly before a beatific smile dances across her pale pink lips, and he hears her laughter for the first time.
It is melodic, like keys ringing on a piano and the sound is captivating enough to fill his entire room and he wishes he could bottle it up and listen to it whenever he wanted to.
She stays.
Longer than he expected and he tries not to smile too large but it’s hard when she’s shooting him that contagious smile. They watch game shows on a laptop that she pulls out of thin air and he laughs nervously as she explains how she once hacked and ruined the life of a man who wouldn’t take no for an answer when she was a waitress at a bar.
She’s scary, like most people at the plaza but he’s dangerously attracted to her like a fly to a light.
He doesn’t recall falling asleep but he mumbles contentedly when he feels her tuck the blanket tighter around his body, soft deft fingers running across his fringe before he succumbs to the pull of unconsciousness.
“Good night puppy.”
Tumblr media
He doesn’t mean to overhear, wasn’t trying to eavesdrop at all but he saw the light on in Miss Hong’s room and immediately the worst came to mind.
Han Seok is here to finish the job.
So he races to the door, ready to defend her by any means even if that means putting his life at risk, again. His hand is on the door knob twisting and silently he pushes the door open, stepping in before realizing there is no danger.
At least not to them, he can’t say the same for the victims of his brother.
Vincenzo looks tired, achingly so.
He feels a pang in his own chest watching the sunken face of the other man as he watches Miss Hong, her eyelashes fluttering wildly in her sleep. He makes to exit the room but the low rumble of Vincenzo’s voice halts him in his track, he has never heard the other man sound so forlorn.
“This is all my fault. You would have been safe if you never met me.”
He blinks, taken back at the heartbreaking confession.
Did Vincenzo truly believe that? That they would have been safer without him? It’s the biggest lie he’s ever heard and he has to bite his tongue to stop himself from responding to the fallacy.
“You deserve better than me. I am a scum and you....you’re different Cha-young ah.”
He has never heard the older man call her that before.
“I should just disappear out of your life, that’s the best gift I could give to you. Leaving you alone and letting you live your life.”
No. He wants to scream listening to this and he realizes that these words remind him of someone, someone who has had all these thoughts before.
I am useless. Nobody wants me. It would be better if I disappeared.
Vincenzo sounds like all of his darkest thoughts, said aloud. He has to grip the door to stop himself from running over to the man and pulling him into a tight hug. He can feel his pain all the way across the room.
“That would be best for you. But I can’t,” his voice cracks, “Every time I think about leaving you, it hurts. It hurts Cha-young. I want to stay with you. I want to be the one who makes you smile,” He watches his brother gently pick up her limp hand, sandwiching it between both of his. It’s such a tender moment, he should leave.
“Everyone I loves dies, that’s my fate. My punishment. I had accepted that...before you and Han Seo and my...mom. Now I’m greedy and I don’t want to lose anyone. I don’t want to lose you, please...stay with me.” Vincenzo crumples at the side of the bed, his ungelled hair blocking his eyes now as he lays his head on Ms. Hong’s hand pleading with her and finally he pulls the door open and steps back into the hallway, he doesn’t realize he’s crying until he slips back into his bed.
Tumblr media
When the knock sounds at his door, he calls out with no idea of who could be visiting him, a certain pretty pianist flashes in his mind but he pushes that desire to the back of his mind.
He sits up at the sight of Ms. Hong shakily entering his room, Vincenzo’s disapproving face flashing in his mind.
“Ms. Hong you shouldn’t be moving around, hyung would be upset if he saw you.”
She stares at him with wide eyes and he stares back placidly before realizing what he just said. He slaps a hand over his mouth, remorseful and ashamed. He has never called Vincenzo that in front of anyone else, too embarrassed to see the question on their face and terrified that the other man would deny him in front of others. Maybe Vincenzo wanted to keep this as a secret? Why would he want a needy idiot like him following him around and embarrassing him? His cheeks burn and he brings his gaze to the floor.
“Don’t. Whatever you’re thinking stop. He calls you his brother too, you are brothers now. Don’t doubt that Vincenzo always keeps his word.”
He feels naked beneath her stare, shocked at how easily she can see through him. Was he really that obvious?
“I wanted to talk to you.”
He gulps nervously, watching at the older women wobbles across the room before gracelessly falling into the chair beside his bed, he reaches out to help her smiling back when she grins at him, he tries not to blush when she pats his cheek in gratitude, the movement all too motherly.
“What did I do wrong?” He replies, and there is deafening silence before she answers, “You poor thing. Life must have been so hard before, you must have struggled so much.”
He is completely and utterly unprepared for the words and he cannot stop the tears that well up and collapse at her genuine concern.
“It's okay. You have us now and we’ll never let him hurt you again.”
He cries, harder than he ever has before. Longer than he has ever allowed himself to cry, he cries for his youth, for his innocence, for the young Han Seo who just wanted to be loved. His body shakes from the tremors of his sorrow, liquid pain streaming down his face.
“It wasn’t your fault. You didn’t deserve any of it. You did well, you did so well. I am so proud of you.”
When she runs a tentative hand across his brow, he chokes on his tears sinking deeper into the bed.
“I wanted you to know that you are my family too. You saved us both and I can never thank you enough, I would be honored if you considered me a sister too.”
He lays in disbelief, unable to fathom how he has gained a brother and a sister in such a short expanse of time. There are no words, he nods quickly. Letting his tears continue to fall.
She lets him cry, a serene smile on her face as he shakes apart in front of her. Softly whispering, “You did so well. I’m so proud of you.” Over and over again, tattooing it into his skin.
Words he has never heard before.
Words he has longed for all his life.
Time ticks by and before he knows it, it is nearing midnight. They had simply sat together in solace for hours.
“You should go get some rest,” he states quietly and for once she doesn’t argue nodding in agreement before squeezing his hand and standing up, only a little wobbly this time.
“You too. Sleep well Han Seo-ah.” He nods, watching her retreating form as she nears the door and impulsively he calls out, “Noona!” and it feels strange on his tongue, even newer than hyung but his heart warms at the brilliant smile she sends his way, turning back at his outcry, “Hmm?” she replies tilting her head curiously at him.
“You know don’t you?”
She stares, head tilting further and he knows she knows exactly what he means.
“You weren’t sleeping. You heard everything.”
She doesn’t bother looking surprised, he’s grateful for the lack of charades.
“You know how he feels. You feel the same. Why won’t you confront him?”
She stares at the ceiling before locking eyes with him again, “He’s been hurt before, he had a brother once before you know. He tried to kill him.”
He didn’t know. it’s too familiar. It's the last thing he wished they had in common.
“He doesn’t let people in because it’s too scary when they leave. You two aren’t so different, he just does a better job of hiding it.”
He has no comment, there are so many different layers to Vincenzo and he doubts he will never truly understand the enigmatic man.
“So this is enough for you? You don’t want more?”
He thinks of Miri and all the baggage that he’s carrying, he has no right to place that on her. It’s better if he stops this thing before it starts right? He has no idea what he can give to another person, is he even capable of love?
“Yes. This is enough. He is enough, every moment with him is enough.”
The wind stutters from his lungs, this is the second time he has heard a confession meant for another.
“What about me? Do you think I can be enough for someone too? Could I someday find someone who cares for me like you care for hyung?” He doesn’t know what has come over him but he waits anxiously for her response, every atom of his body shivering in anticipation.
“Silly boy,” his heart drops, “You already have someone like that. She comes to see you everyday even though she’s terrified of hospitals.”
“Wha--what?” He stutters out feeling all the blood race to his face, she only smiles broadly in reply mimicking fingers dancing across a piano before sauntering out of his room with a loud chuckle.
This isn’t over yet. Han Seok is still at large and more people could get hurt but he has never felt safer in his life. He has a family now, one that he fought for with more passion that he thought he had and he has no plans of letting that go, for anyone.

REQUEST: Can I request Bokuto with a soft & short manager s/o and she always helps the team cheer bokuto up when hi is in emo mode and like a lot of fluff🥺👉👈
A/N: Tumblr is being a whore with their Keep Reading button, putting it on the ask and shit smh. So I apologize for the repost.
Tumblr media
alate. | bokuto kōtarō
word count: 1776
warnings: none
(adj.) having wings; lifted up in flight
Official match protocols only allowed one manager on the court for each team. Fukurodani Academy’s Boys’ Volleyball team always had their lenient but reliable third year managers to get the job done. Third-years Yukie and Kaori had been your final salvation against the inevitable fate of having to care for the raucous boys alone. But today with some lucky fortune of theirs, they’d somehow coerced you into taking their place.
“...Will I experience any internal combustions by the end of the match?”
The three of you stood in a personal circle at the entrance to the gym. The three managers of Fukurodani, with your two seniors looming over you like two scheming birds of prey. They didn’t even have to ask why you were so worried; despite being a second-year, this was your first time to stand on the court with the team instead of panicking on your own on the sidelines. This time, you were in the game, up-close-and-personal.
“You’ll do fine~” Yukie grinned, raising her right hand in a lazy ‘OK’ gesture. “Besides, you’re a total expert when it comes to giving Bokuto a good knock in the head.”
If Bokuto’s vanity was a chronic disease, he’d need more than just a “good knock in the head” to be cured. But Yukie wasn’t wrong. Your praises, in comparison to the others’, had a quicker, more powerful effect on the ace. Though you weren’t sure if that skill of yours was more of a blessing than a curse...
“W-well, I’ll do my best,” you muttered, fiddling with the hem of your track jacket. Your seniors exchanged a look before smiling softly at you.
“Oh, and one more thing!” Kaori piped up as you lugged the bag full of empty bottles over your shoulder. “Can you act a bit bashful when you’re complimenting the captain?
“Why’s that, Kaori-san?”
“Bokuto thinks you look cute when you’re embarrassed.”
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
‘Cute’? What did that even mean? Did Bokuto always think people were ‘cute’ whenever they flash a single praise at him? Not that you remembered... What’s with that, you grumbled, angrily trying to get the concept into your skull.
Your eyes darted back to the court where—much to your distress—the other team just had to be painfully good at blocks. Now, you just hoped that the boys wouldn’t get too disgruntled.
The score was 12-15, with Torasaka Metropolitan High in the lead. Though Fukurodani had obtained their twelfth point with a lucky read on Torasaka’s setter dump, things were obstinately bleak for your team.
“I want to try it!” you heard Bokuto exclaim excitedly. From afar, you could already spot a few sullen scowls begin to form on his teammates’ faces. “Hey, ‘Kaashi, do you want to try that block with me?”
The setter sent you a pained expression enough for guilt to comically swallow you whole. Returning his attention to the ace who’s practically bouncing on his heels, Akaashi sighed. “Bokuto-san, let’s focus on our normal blocks first.”
A child! you thought incredulously as you watched the captain stick out his tongue at him. Though Bokuto was particularly a sight to behold when he’s in top form, just how confident could he be, trying something so risky in a middle of a tight match? Or was he just a complete and utter numbskull? You thought he was rather amazing for the juxtaposition... in a Bokuto fashion, of course.
As Washio prepared to serve, you watched the ace literally vibrate with eagerness of having such an “interesting enemy”. Whenever Bokuto got extremely fired up, it was your inevitable fate that you just couldn’t look away. The way his jersey hugged his hulking frame as he flexed his muscles in preparation to follow the path of the ball, it was nearly bewitching. If he had been like this his entire life, you were sure your heart wouldn’t take being with Bokuto for a mere second.
“It’s up!” Torasaka’s libero signaled, cleanly receiving Washio’s serve (much to the player’s frustration).
In your memory, Torasaka High wasn’t a much known threat until just recently. “Their new first years block like a fort,” you remembered what Coach Yamiji had said in the bus that morning. Despite far from being as crafty as Nohebi or as versatile as Nekoma, Tokyo teams were a force to be reckoned with.
What a terrifying sport, you thought to yourself for what seemed to be the fifth time this month.
“Left! Left!”
On the other side of the court, Sarukui, Bokuto and Akaashi scrambled to follow the ball’s trajectory. Though you were only a rookie in this entire volleyball thing, you were quick to notice that Bokuto’s footsteps were a bit smaller and slower than the first two...
Wait, is he planning to delay the timing of his block now?!
It was definitely a quick from the other side. It was evident, even to you. And when the two jumped to block the ball with their ace lagging behind, the ball had already streaked over him at a dangerous angle. Point Torasaka.
Landing on the pads of his feet, Akaashi’s expression shifted between “candidly annoyed” and “visibly concerned” as he watched the captain raise his head for his team to see.
“You’re kidding me...” Sarukui groaned under his breath. Behind him, the others followed promptly with their own reactions of disbelief.
His infamous salt-and-pepper hair deflating alongside his shoulders, Bokuto whined, loud enough for you to hear from the benches. “The hell... I thought I had that block mastered. Why’d they have to make it look so easy?”
Time-out! Akaashi turned to you and the coach a with pleading stare, hard enough for your supervising teacher to shoot upwards and signal the referee for their second break of the match.
Groaning, you stuffed your face in your hands, hoping that your senior managers in the audience were praying for your good health.
“What were you thinking?!” Coach Yamiji hissed, giving the sulking ace a well-deserved smack to the side of his head. Bokuto didn’t even flinch. “You could’ve—”
“Coach. Let me.”
Snapping his head in your direction, the old man grew pale when he heeded the dark aura that spewed from your body. Even the others, though they were only watching the entire event go down, was hyper-aware of the invisible, nightmarish fog that came with your frustration.
You’d always seemed so sweet and indulgent, never angry. Never. And yet Bokuto had finally gotten you to drop the tether that held your patience together.
Walking to Bokuto, you sent him a scowl so cold, he forgot how to blink. The rest of the team, the coach, your teacher and even Yukie and Kaori in the stands shivered from the sudden gust of frosty air that oozed from you. Some of the audience surprisingly turned their heads to watch the spectacle of the tiny Fukurodani manager who seemed like she was about to trample on their ace.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
“Bokuto, you—!”
You froze. No. If you scolded him now, that only make matters worse. Bokuto didn’t fare well when he was scolded by Kaori or Yukie either. Besides, you were his manager, not his mother. But what else were you going to do?
Bokuto thinks you look cute when you’re embarrassed.
Swallowing a nagging lump in your throat, you recalled the words of your seniors. Embarrassed? How do you do embarrassed? Was that even a thing you could pull off manually? Taking in a deep breath, you tightened your fist before loosening them in front of your body. Something was better than nothing.
“B-Bokuto-senpai...?”
“Senpai?!” the others snapped towards you, jaws on the floor. Even Bokuto was stunned.
Eyeing his interested gaze, you continued, fidgeting bashfully, “Bokuto-senpai’s such a slob... If you just listened to the others... you’d be a lot cooler...”
Komi tugged at the back of Konoha’s jersey, whispering in the blonde one’s ear, “She’s pulling out the ‘Cute Tsundere’ card!”
Stupefied, the wing spiker muttered, “Bokuto’s actually taking the bait... Scary. L/N-san’s scary.”
And take the bait he did. You didn’t even realize how red you were with the way he was looking at you—and the shade was fully unintentional, much to your chagrin. But Bokuto’s sullen mood was far gone, replaced with the brighter interest of infatuation.
“A lot cooler...?” Bokuto savored your words in his tongue, before whipping out both his hands to grab at your shoulders. “Y-You think I’m cool?!”
You didn’t even have to pretend to be shy anymore. The close contact of his skin, the scent of his sweat mingled with the musky aroma of his cologne and the pinkish tint on his cheeks. It was too much, and you soon wondered if Bokuto had always seemed this charming to you.
“Y-you airhead! Of course I do,” you mumbled, lowering your sight to the floor. “You’re already really good at volleyball, but you do things like forcing yourself to do a block you can’t do just because you want attention and... and now everyone has to bear that burden.”
“Please go on a date with me.”
You flinched in his grasps. This was escalating much faster than you’d hoped it would. Unable to register what he had said, you asked him to repeat himself.
“The cute Y/N-chan thinks I’m cool. That’s like a dream come true, right? So if I become cool again, won’t you go on a date with me?”
How unbelievable. One second he almost reminded you of the small boy that lived below your apartment, and the next he was like some sort of phantom thief, ready to whisk you away from the confines of your castle and steal your heart. You smiled earnestly; Bokuto Koutarou really was a man of many wonders.
Slipping yourself away from his grip, you raised an index finger between his eyes. “If you win... I’ll consider it.”
Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, the ace lit up once more. Revived, renewed, and heart set on taking you out. While dragging Akaashi back onto the court, Bokuto made it a point that he was looking at you all the way. You giggled. What an interesting person.
From the stands, your gaze traced the motto of Fukurodani’s Volleyball Club. Pour all your soul into each ball. Bokuto played with passion, with his emotions and whenever the time was right, with his logic too. For a while, volleyball seemed like the last thing you’d want to spend your life doing. But seeing the ace’s blushing grin to you when they’d scored the final match point... it might not be as bad as you thought it’d be.

Blues Daydream I had recurringly over the past few days.
I've written some of the daydream down but I never really put together a coherent story, so I'm just retelling it from memory mostly. (Content warning for the mention of sex.)
It starts of with them at like ...13 (?) The RRB are neutral and have befriended the ppg. Bubbles has a crush on Boomer (she starts crushing on him when she's like... 8)
There's a porch swing in this really pretty picnic park that Bubbles likes to visit a lot. It's surrounded by lots of bushes and flowers. She usually sits there by herself until Boomer starts showing up. He usually joins her to show her the songs he's learned on his acoustic guitar (he doesn't have a special musical talent but i love the fanon idea of Boomer being a music fanatic. Its very fitting, so I always imagine that he naturally just ends up gravitating towards music). They'll stay there for hours (especially during the summer) singing songs they know or just talking.
He gets really comfortable with Bubbles and they look forward to seeing one another.
And this scene stuck out to me in my head specifically...
***
Boomer: "Bubbles,  I have to tell you something. "
Boomer: *Kisses her on the cheek.*
Bubbles and Boomer: ...
Bubbles: "What is it that you have to tell me?"
Boomer: *laughs,  blushing* "I only said that as a cover up to kiss you."
Bubbles: "Oh! Well I have to tell you something  too then..."
Bubbles: *Kisses him*
Boomer: *surprised* " You just… kissed me on the lips…"
Bubbles: "I know…" :) "DON'T TELL THE PROFESSOR." (She panics)
Boomer: *Blushing and smug* "I won't. "
They both giggle. He strums his guitar.
***
Later in the daydream he asks her on a date. She tells the Professor, because she's over joyed but unfortunately, the professor doesnt approve because Boomer is a villain and he doesn't want Bubbles to date a "punk who'll just break her heart."
Bubbles is really upset (she cry's about it) and she ends up trying to sneak out. She tells Buttercup who doesn't really care (until Bubbles involves allowance money.) to cover for her. Later, Bubbles tells Kim, Mary and Robin and they agree to help her sneak out for her first date, saying they'll let her cover by telling the professor she's at a sleepover with Robin.
There's a scene I imagine where all the girls put together money to buy a really pretty spaghetti strapped dress that comes with a white, light material-like shawl that's also like a jacket (i hope you understand what i mean lol.) Anyway, it's really gorgeous and they sneak it in. Kim explains to Bubbles this technique she read in a magazine. She tells Bubbles when Boomer looks at her to untie the shawl "like this" and only wear the dress part.
Bubbles sneaks out on the date with Boomer. They go to like some fun kids place with an indoor trampoline and an arcadia.
***
The night was a little breezy but that was alright since Bubbles figured most of the night would be spent indoors. She saw the arcadia lights come into place and began to steer down. As she landed she spotted Boomer in the usual Hollister shirt and jeans- well actually those jeans looked sort of new. Maybe they were.
He turned to her and smiled at her appearance. She suddenly felt a smidgen bad for having to make him wait so long. If only she didn't have to stay out of sight from the professor. "You actually waited for me?"
"For you, I'd wait until the ends of the universe." He grinned. Her heart pounded.
She blushes as he leads her into the fun place by the hand. Entering her attention was instantly caught by the sounds of the indoor trampoline, ticket counters and all the acrcade games to play. Pop music played over the rush of kids and preteens like her running around.
She smiled in awe, "Wow," she said aloud, eyeing all of her options to play with.
"Pretty cool right?" Boomer said, smiling back at her. She'd felt the heat of their hands at his gentle expression. She'd just realized they were approaching a short line. "It's pretty new. I think it opened last month. I've been eyeing this place for weeks. " he said unable to hide his own excitement.
She blushed and giggled.
Soon they were routed to cubbys to put some of there belongings in.
"Really? Cubbys? It's like we're in fifth grade all over again." Boomer sneers as he sets some items inside. "Well I guess you don't have much to put in but your purse..." His words drifts off as he watches her excitedly undo her shawl, stuffing it into her cubby. "Uh...." He mutters before she grabs his hand.
"Yeah we're sooo old for cubbys now," she agreed grinning. He looks at her, blushing slightly. "Come on!" She exclaims as she tugs him eagerly along towards the trampoline.
***
They go to the trampoline, play games and he even buys her fro yo, they admit to each other that they're their first dates.
***
"So Harry and Julie are definitely dating now." Boomer comments as they watch their friends at the other end of the arcadia play games. Harry looked a little shy but Julie was very open and boisterous.
Bubbles giggled, "yeah, I guess they are." She said as she eyed them. She and Boomer were in the cafe part of the arcadia. They'd picked a table but there were also small booths and a stage at the front.
"I wonder what got them together." Boomer said thoughtfully. "They're so different from each other, I never would have guessed."
Bubbles ate a spoonful of her fro yo, "Maybe. You know what they say, opposites attract." She grinned. He turned back to her, catching her grinning and smiling himself. It was probably they're tenth time they did that tonight. Bubbles didn't know, she wasn't actually counting how many times, she just knew every time it happened it made her heart flutter.
"Y' know..." Boomer started, looking back at his fro yo. "You're the first girl I've ever asked on a date." He said tilting his head a little.
The butterflies in Bubbles stomach made her dizzy, "you're the first boy I've ever dated."
Their eyes met and the sound of the arcadia went fuzzy. She was looking for something else to say but her heart felt like it was caught in her throat-
A high-pitched blare sounded from the speakers, and they both jumped, blushing madly. A tall man took to the stage in front of them.
***
And whaddya know, it's karaoke night.
So Boomer asks her to sing a song on stage with him, even though she's extremely shy. They sing some pop song that's somewhat relevant in the year 2006 (I imagine 'Anything but Ordinary' by Avril but I dunno). It's the first time Boomer hears Bubbles sing and he's really shocked but RUH ROH the professor (and a very guilty looking Buttercup) appear admist the crowd of preteens and ... Yeah, she gets in trouble.
At home, the professor scolds her more (he has good intentions. He really just wants to protect Bubbles.) Bubbles ends up crying because the professor won't 'accept their love'. (There's a scene that plays in my head where Robin shows up and she see's Bubbles crying. Bubbles starts declaring that she doesn't care that Boomer is a Rowdyruff boy she 'loves him'...
***
Bubbles: "And I don't care what anybody else says, he's not that evil! He can't help who his parents are!"
Robin: "I know but... The Professor makes a good point. Are you sure you want to date Boomer?"
Bubbles: *looks at her with a 'really' look through her glossy eyes.*
Robin: "Oh yeah. I forgot. He's been your crush since you were 8 years old. "
***
The next day she goes to talk to him but he's like "uh... Yeah, I actually wanna... Break up." She thinks it's because of how the date ended (Professor was not a happy man when he retrieved Bubbles that night. Also she was wearing a spaghetti-strapped dress. It was too cold outside!) He reassures her its not because of how the date ended, he just... Sort of realized he wasnt really all that into her like he thought he was (?). Also, he has a growing suspension that the Professor hates his guts. And his explanation for why he's suddenly breaking up with Bubbles is ridiculous...
***
"It was more of like... How does Brick put it?" Boomer puts a thoughtful hand up to his chin, "a fleeting moment...?" He smiles in recollection. "Yeah, I think it was just a fleeting moment."
Bubbles looked down at the tile, her voice soft, "But I thought you liked me..."
"I do like you!" He justified, instantly. Then he looked away, a little hesitant, "I just... Just as a friend though." He looks at her, a bit guilt-ridden, "y'know?"
***
...but sadly that's all she can get out of him is that he just doesn't think they'd make a good couple.
Back at home, the professor talks with Bubbles again. He explains to her that he's sorry for berating her. He trusts her to make the right decisions and who she dates shouldn't be decided by him. He encourages Bubbles to date "who her heart says it right for her" but she stuns him by agreeing that Boomer is no good and that she doesn't want to date him.... Or maybe anyone else at the moment.
So going to that porch swing in the middle of the park is never really the same because she's either alone or Boomer is occupying it before she gets there (he's lowkey waiting for her but obviously Bubbles is not in the mood to entertain him anymore.)
Then high school happens and they're in a weird zone of 'we're exes, but are we really exes because we dated when we were 13 and that was only for one day, and we used to be so close before that.' Slowly, they start talking again (they share classes) and Bubbles starts having a crush on him again but then Boomer just HAS to be an oblivious goof and get a girlfriend. Some hot, popular girl from the cheer squad who everyone says looks like Meghan Foxes younger sister, so Bubbles is like "aw poo." But bubbles isn't heartbroken just slightly disappointed.
Well, Bubbles joins the cheer squad and Boomers hot, popular girlfriend who looks like Meghan Foxes younger sister isn't very fond of that. I don't know what Boomers gf name is but she's jealous of Bubbles, as well as, Bubbles relationship with Boomer (the school knows about their middle school fling.) Meghan Fox jr starts shit-talking Bubbles to Boomer or when Boomer is hanging out with her and her friends ("she's literally so weird, the other day I saw her talking to a squirrel." "Does she like *snorts* ever grow up?" "Omg did you see the outfit she put together the other day? She looks and sounds like an overgrown 6th grader") but "surprisingly" Boomer always tries to shut that shit down, and every time Meghan fox jr asks Boomer why he says it's because Bubbles is his friend.
Meanwhile, Bubbles meets this guy accompanying the porch swing one school evening, she goes over and it's Mike. He's been away from Townsville for some time and he's come back because his parents needed to move back awhile and you can sort of see where this is going...
Bubbles and Mike start hanging out a lot. Boomer is taken aback by the relationship Bubbles and Mike has because he starts gaining feelings for Bubbles again. Meghan Fox jr tries to isolate Bubbles from the cheer squad because she suspects her boyfriend is more into Bubbles than her. School dance happens, school dance shenanigans. There's a talent show in there somewhere that Bubbles agrees to perform a song with Boomer for their partners. Valentine's day shits. And other small scenarios... But through all this time Boomer is regaining those feelings he once had for Bubbles and he becomes a lot more jealous.
Meghan Fox Jr's antics become a lot more mean-spirited as well. (Especially during junior year The principal has to step in and Bubbles ends up leaving the squad on her own terms. ) and after that huge occurrence, Boomer is completely turned off by Meghan Fox jr. He breaks up with her.
Unfortunately, he's kicked from his friend group and a lot of rumors are spread about Boomer (most likely by Meghan Fox jr.) Boomer and Meghan Fox jr had a very.... Affectionate(?) relationship...
Basically, when your parents don't really care about what you do in your free time or who you hang out with, and you're young and curious and you have an attractive bf/gf, sex can happen. And sex was what made Boomer and Meghan Fox jr stay together. She uses that after they break up to harass him though.
Uhm, Mike's parents have to move again, so he and Bubbles agree it's best if they broke up before he moves away.
Okay. So back at square one. Bubbles and Boomer are single and they like each other- well really, Boomer likes Bubbles. Bubbles admires him, but now she's over the crush thing lol.
So now Boomer is set on Bubbles. He ends up revisiting that porch swing only to find Bubbles is there. (During his relationship with Meghan Fox jr. he avoids it. Partially because he's in a relationship and also because when Bubbles and Mike are together, they usually occupy the swing.) Again they swing and sit for hours like when they were younger.
He finds his new growing attraction is unbearable in the sense that, there is a constant attraction he has to her that he can't manipulate. He goes through a lot of inner turmoil trying to find out why he likes her even though she's clearly over him, so shouldn't he be the same? He's fighting the attraction, trying to ignore it but the more they hang out the more it grows. And that continues into the summer before they're seniors.
With a lot more free time, they spend more time together but it's usually outings with their friends (unless he meets her in the park on the porch swing). Their bond continues to build but Bubbles is unsure if he likes her, and he's unsure if she likes him and then my brain just skips to a night when they're on the swing...
***
Boomer strummed his guitar as the crickets sung around them, the swing light dim. He suddenly stops his strumming, "Hey remember when you kissed me? When we were 13?"
Bubbles laughed and covered her lips, her cheeks colored slightly, "that was so long ago." She turned her eyes to him, "when we were kids."
"Oh yeah. And that epic date I took you on." He recalled. She shoved him light-heartedly.
"You dated me for a day and left me broken-hearted for two months." She grinned smug.
Boomer's eyes widened, "2 months? You were that into a dumb kid like me?"
"Of course I was," she said her eyes, not on him but looking at the stars above them. The night was beautiful and warm. She drew her knees on the swing as she gazed up. " I always liked you... Ever since we were kids I kinda..." He watched as she giggled awkwardly and her cheeks became even redder. She finally shrugged and turned her gaze to him, "I kinda told my friends I was in love with you."
He thought this over as their eyes locked. His heart felt like it was going to jump through his chest.
She looked back at the stars, "I even told the Professor." Her eyes had a small shimmer in them. "It was-" she scoffed and dropped her head, shaking it, "it was so stupid honestly."
He wanted to touch her hand, but it was wrapped around her knees, holding them together. He thought of all the things he could do. He could rest his arms on the seat, almost on her shoulders. He could scoot closer until they were touching. He could fiddle with the shoelace of her shoe.
Instead, he scoffed as well and turned his attention to the neck of his guitar, hoping she couldn't tell he was blushing. "Yeah. We were pretty dumb."
***
They end up talking about their childhood and one thing leads to another and they kiss. But nothing interrupts them so it's just awkward and they say bye.
Eventually, they start dating and yeaaaaah... If this were going to be a fic, I pretty much spoiled it lmao. But i wanted to share that with you guys cause i know there are other blues stans out there and we don't get that much love in the "more serious" fanfic department so I know every little thing adds up 😌👌
I honestly wish i could stay committed to writing a fic but i have horrible self-discipline and initiative D: Sorry y'all but i hope you enjoyed it c:

I’m not half the man I used to be
Pairing: Tom x female reader
Warnings: alcohol and drinking, a wee bit of angst with a fluffy ending
Word count: 4.4k
Summary: in the span of two years, you and Tom went from being inseparable, to him being someone you heavily detested. What happens when one drunken night rolls around and he wants to reconcile?
A/N: this is a piece that I wrote for @spider-pxrkers writing challenge, which is the first ever one I’ve participated in! The flashbacks are in « » and the writing prompt I used, which is “say something, please, say anything” is bolded and italicised.

“Listen, I know I haven’t been the best, b-but I need you. More than ever.” He slurred into the phone, while you just sighed on the other end.
Tom was right in the middle of going through his very public heartbreak, which ultimately resulted in him frequenting a lot of pubs. He usually went alone, but the paparazzi photos proved that someone always had to come and rescue him. His usual saviour was Harrison, but tonight it would be you who would be called to save him.
He was right though, he hadn’t been the best to you. You two had a long history, and it was quite messy.
Two years had passed since you’ve spoken to him, and you knew he was only calling you because he needed the attention.
Two years prior to hating Tom, you were in love with him. You remember the fallout, all too well.
« You and Tom had spent the whole day together at his trailer, on his day off from filming. You were cuddled up watching a movie together, your chest touching his back, his arm around your waist.
You two were more than friends, but when the public asked about the both of you, he always shrugged it off as a friendship. You both knew that he wasn’t exactly telling the truth, but it was for the best so that you could still keep some anonymity.
As the both of you lay there perfectly content, he heard a knocking at his trailer door. He didn’t bother to get up, ignoring whoever was on the other side of the door.
“It’s probably just Harrison, he’ll get the hint soon enough.” He remarked.
The knocks on the door became a bit more frequent and urgent. You looked up at Tom, wondering if he was gonna do something. Before you could say anything, a voice from outside said, “Tommy, are you there?”
It was a voice you had recognized instantly; it was of his costar, who was acting alongside him in the film.
“Baby, it’s cold out here, please let me in.” She said.
“Baby?” You asked, watching his face contort into a frown. He ignored your comment, quickly untangling himself from you as he went to open the door. She quickly wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him into a kiss. You sat there, confused, the shock written all over your face.
Sure, she and Tom were friends, and you knew they were close, but he didn’t let you in on a pertinent piece of information--that they were actually dating. It was something that you had suspected, but he always seemed to reassure you that he was yours and yours only. Now, you realised that was untrue.
As they pulled away from their long kiss, Tom turned around to look at you. He looked guilty, but she stood there with a slight smirk on her face.
“Tommy, I’m guessing you didn’t break the news to her that we were dating.” She cooed, as she wrapped her arm around his.
“I guess not.” He said in a hushed voice.
“Right, well I gotta go.” You jumped up from the couch, as you scrambled to find your phone so you could bolt out of there.
“Wait, I can explain.” Tom pleaded, but you stormed past the both of them and swiftly walked away from the trailer.
“Hold on one second.” He told his girlfriend, leaving her alone in his trailer so he could follow after you.
It was pitch black outside, and if it weren’t for your white sneakers he wouldn’t have been able to see you at all. He ran in an effort to catch up with you, the cold wind cutting right through him. It nipped at his cheeks, and he quickly regretted not grabbing a jacket before heading out.
“Will you please let me explain?” He asked, trailing you. You sped up and nearly began to sprint when you felt a tug on your wrist. The jolt stopped you in your tracks, leaving you no choice but to confront Tom.
“What is there to explain, huh? The fact that you’ve been leading me on and then decide to date someone else behind my back? I mean c’mon, that hurts.”
He stood there, silent, unsure of what to say. You were right though, once it was said out loud, it did seem pretty hurtful.
“Well what was I supposed to do? All this time I’ve been trying to protect your identity, which is what you wanted after all. I like her, and I can actually go public with her and it won’t matter.”
“Bastard.” You said through clenched teeth.
“That wasn’t the way I meant to word it.” He exhaled, watching the way his cold breath swirled around the night air. “That was uncalled for. I should’ve told you that I was dating her, but I didn’t know how to bring it up.” He admitted, as he looked over at you. You let out a sigh, the air behind exhaled from your lungs visible against the night sky. You didn’t say anything, and he knew you well enough to know that meant you wanted an explanation after all.
“I should’ve told you that I was with her, but I didn’t want to ruin what I have with you. I love being around you; you make me so happy, but I just didn’t want to put you through the tribulations of dating me.” He paused for a second to look you in the eyes, but you averted his gaze. He took another cold breath in and continued.
“I know my life isn’t easy and I don’t want you to have to deal with that. You don’t need the paps following you at all times, and you definitely don’t need fans stalking you and your social media. I guess I was trying to do you a favour but now it doesn’t seem like much of one.”
“Yeah it definitely wasn’t much of a favour.” You choked out, as you wiped away a warm tear from your cheek.
“I’m sorry. It’s just that she understands my life, you know? We run in the same circles, so she’s used to the chaos and whatnot. I don’t want to put you through that misery as well. For you, it’s a choice to not have your privacy invaded, whereas for me it’s part of the job. I was just trying to protect you, sorry.” He took a step closer to you, cupping your cheeks with his hands.
“I love you, so much. So much in fact that I don’t want to ruin your life.” He let go of your face, and stuffed his frostbitten hands in his pockets.
“And that’s why I have to leave.” He turned on his heel, a slump in his step as he walked away from you. He didn’t turn back as he walked back towards his trailer, head hung low.
You watched him walk away, unsure of how to react. You stood outside long enough to watch him open his trailer door and slam it shut, wincing as it closed.
You turned around, walking off the lot and back to your car. You huffed as you noticed the frost coating the windscreen, shivering as you struggled to open your car door. Sticking the key into the ignition, you waited for the engine to warm up so that you could leave and never come back. A few minutes later, you drove home, hoping to never see Tom again.
But a few weeks later, you had seen it all over the news.
“Stay calm everyone- Tom Holland is in a relationship.” TMZ buzzed.
“Okay I know a lot of girls are going to be sad but Tom Holland is in a relationship with his costar.” Entertainment Tonight boasted.
You couldn’t stand it. When you went to the market, his face was plastered everywhere on the magazine covers. The covers varied from “Tom’s new girl?” “Alert! Tom Holland’s no longer single?”, and “Who is this mystery girl that has stolen T. Holland’s heart?”
It was sickening. You hadn’t heard from him since, which left you no choice but to move on. It was difficult when he was everywhere though, from the TV to the movies to the magazines. Even though he was out of your life, he was still lurking around.
But now, time healed that wound, and seeing his face plastered everywhere didn’t evoke any emotions from you. Two years had since passed since that incident, and you had taken the opportunity to better yourself. You finished your degree, learned a few languages and took better care of your health. You were new and improved.
Not long after you had finally gotten over him, it came out in the news that Tom had proposed to her, but apparently she turned him down. Ouch. She mentioned it in an interview with Extra, and it didn’t come as a shock as she announced she was no longer with Tom, and had quickly moved on to an Italian male model.
You had felt really bad for Tom. Sure, you two weren’t together, and he hadn’t contacted you in years, but you still loved him, and cared about him.
You had watched his descent from grace, as he was spotted at more and more pubs, having attended less and less charity events.
“Tom Holland drinks away his sorrows over his painful breakup” was splattered all over the news outlets. His reputation was currently not great, as the photos showed Harrison helping Tom stumble out of the bars and into an Uber.
So it wasn’t really shocking that he had called you. »
You snapped back out of your thoughts as you heard him beg and begin to sob. You really did feel bad for him, except you didn’t really know what to do. You wanted to help him, but he did leave you so long ago, you were torn to say the least.
“P-please, I p-promise that I’ll b-be better, I just need you.” He whispered the last part, and your heart sank.
You let out a long exhale, taking a second to think about your decision. “Okay, where are you at?” You asked, and he let out a sniffle.
“I-I don’t know, I just walked around looking for a bar and I f-found this one.”
“I’ll need you to be a bit more specific, can you ask the bartender where you are?”
“H-hold on.” He held the phone away from his ear, and you heard a faint discussion in the distance.
“Darling, I’m at t-the Dragon Lounge, in midtown.” He said, and you wrote it down so you could put it into maps.
“Okay, stay there Tommy, don’t leave.”
“I miss you calling me ‘Tommy’, and I miss you.” He slurred, but you acted like you didn’t hear that part.
“Right, okay. See you soon.” You quickly hung up the phone as you went to go rescue him.
The Dragon Lounge was a twenty minute drive from your apartment, but since it was so late it only took about fifteen. You found a parking spot right out front, locking your car and walking through the large glass doors. It was nearly vacant inside, so it wasn't hard to find Tom, slumped over the bar with his head resting on his hands.
You walked over and tapped him on the shoulder, and he lifted his head slightly.
“Darling, I’m sorry and I miss you.” He pleaded, but you were taken aback by how terrible he looked. His eyes were bloodshot, his clothes were wrinkled, his hair was a mess, and he hadn’t shaved in maybe a few days, or maybe even a week. To put it lightly, he looked disheveled.
“Oh thank god you finally came, this guy is a mess.” The bartender said in a heavy Irish accent. “He tried to out drink the other Irish gentleman over there, poor boy’s sloshed. He only had two pints of stout but he was already down for the count.” He remarked, while cleaning the cups that Tom just drank out of.
“Well, thank you for watching over him, I guess.” You responded, grabbing Tom’s waist and helping him get up. It was all dead weight, and he wasn’t helping by trying to kiss your cheek every second he had.
“Alright well be safe you two, I don’t want to see him back for a while, he’s been frequenting the joint for the past week.”
“For the past week? He said he just found this place.” You questioned while the bartender shook his head.
“Oh no, he’s definitely been here every night since last Thursday.” He looked over at you and noticed the deep frown on your face.
“Like I said, the poor kid needs help. Maybe check him into rehab.” The Irishman retorted as he gave you a little wave.
Maybe he should go there, you thought.
You pondered the idea as you helped Tom stumble out of the back door of the lounge. You found your car and helped Tom get inside, and you even made sure to buckle him in, as if he was a little child.
The drive home was silent, and Tom had fallen asleep. His head rested on the window and he was snoring slightly. Any other time this would have been adorable, and would have made your heart swell. Now, you detested him.
You pulled up to your house and helped Tom get out of the car. You thought about leaving him in the car, but it’s the middle of winter and he would freeze to death. With his arm around your shoulders, you helped lead him to the front door, unlocking it as you were met with the warm air from the heater.
Tom let go of you as he stumbled to the couch and plopped down, nearly hitting his head on the armrest. You covered him in the throw blanket that was draped over the couch, and you made sure he was laying on his side so he wouldn’t choke. He tried to sit up, but failed as he plopped back down into the couch.
It really did pain you to see him this miserable and haggard. The light in his eyes was gone which was replaced by a dull, red look. His face was slightly swollen from constantly being drunk and his mouth was in a perpetual frown.
“I’ll be right back Tom, okay? You stay here while I get you some water.” You tried to move away from the couch but Tom had grabbed onto your hand.
“Please don’t go.” He whispered, barely audible.
“I’m just going to go to the kitchen, I’ll be back in a second.” You said as he nodded, letting go of your hand as you made your way to the kitchen. You filled up a glass of water and made him a cup of instant coffee, so that his hangover won’t be as excruciating.
You walked back over to Tom, who was holding his head as he sobbed. You saw that he was holding onto a picture frame that you had on your coffee table. You recognised it as an old photo of you two from when you went on a vacation to Paris together. It was a surprise birthday trip that Tom planned, and he had just taken you to see the Eiffel Tower.
You smiled as you remembered how lovely that day was, but it was quickly replaced with a bittersweet feeling when you realised that the boy you loved then, in the photo, is different than the boy sitting in front of you.
You shook your head slightly to get the memory out of your head, as you set the cups down onto the coffee table. Tom looked up at you with teary eyes, and sniffled before muttering a little “thank you”.
“You’re welcome. Drink the coffee and the water and go to sleep. I’m going to bed now, so goodnight.” You said, making your way to the bedroom. You had babied him enough and it was nearly 1:30am, so you didn’t want to wait up to make sure he was asleep.
About thirty minutes had passed, but you couldn’t sleep. You were worried about Tom, and the worry was keeping you up. A few minutes later, you heard him rinsing out the cups in the kitchen, setting them on the counter before shuffling back to the living room. You wanted to check in on him, but decided that he’s probably okay.
It wasn't long before you heard footsteps approaching your bedroom, and you looked up to see Tom standing in the doorway. The coffee seemed to have sobered him up, as he was standing without swaying.
“Do you think we can talk? I can’t sleep.” He asked quietly, as if not to disturb you.
“I think tomorrow, erm, later today would be better, Tom. It’s 2am.” You said as you covered yourself up in your blankets, trying to hint to him that you don’t want to talk.
“Please? Just for a bit?” He pleaded, “It’ll be really short, I promise.”
“Okay fine, come here then.” You motioned for him to sit down next to you, and he did. “You have five minutes, so use them wisely.”
He took a deep breath before speaking. He looked over at you and hesitated, while you just stared at him with furrowed brows. He knew you didn’t love him anymore; it was evident in the way you treated him, and the way you looked at him with disdain in your eyes. He knew he blew it, but he was hoping he could fix things. He was determined to.
“God, well, where do I even begin? I’m sorry for being a jerk, and I’m sorry for choosing her over you. I made the wrong decision that night, and there’s not a day that goes by where I don’t regret it. I’m still madly in love with you, and I always will be. She didn’t make me happy, not a bit. You did, and still do. I know that you’ll probably never forgive me, and maybe I deserve that, but I just wanted you to know that I still care.”
He glanced over at you, pausing before continuing.
“Do you know why she broke up with me? She knew I was still in love with you, and that it wasn’t fair to her to have my heart taken by someone else. That, and I also moaned your name multiple times during sex on many different occasions.” He grimaced, and you broke out into an awkward laughter.
“Yikes.”
“Yeah, ‘yikes’ indeed.” He laughed. “Anyway she left me, and it was the best decision for the both of us. But the reason I started to go to bars and drinking until I passed out was because I was trying to drown out the thoughts of you. It didn’t work obviously, I could never forget you. I wish I knew what to say other than sorry, but I’m sorry.” He looked down at his clasped hands in his lap, and added, “I would say more but I think my five minutes are up.”
You sat there, unable to formulate a cohesive thought. All of the words that you were dying to hear have been said, but you didn’t know how to feel. It seemed genuine and sincere, but what if he doesn’t actually mean it? He’s still drunk after all, and he knows that you’re someone who easily forgives, so what if he’s taking advantage of you?
“Say something, please, say anything.” He pleaded, but you sat there silent. After a minute of silence, you said, “I think you should leave.”
He got up from the edge of the bed, sighing before walking to the doorway.
“Right, well, um goodnight, and thank you for everything. I don’t deserve you.” He paused again, wanting to give you a minute to process what he just said.
“Oh, je ne veux pas vivre sans toi. I still remember us saying that all the time, and it still holds true. I do not want to live without you.” Tom gave you a small smile before proceeding to go back into the living room.
You sat there speechless, unsure of what to say or do. That phrase replayed repeatedly in your mind as you tried to go to sleep, but you tried to block it out. It worked for a bit, and you managed to get a few hours of sleep, but then you awoke in a panicked state.
Your mind replayed the memory in your mind, and it was torturing you. He knew how important that phrase was to you both, and it seemed like lifetimes ago when you had last heard that phrase, which was when he took you on holiday for your birthday to Paris.
« Over two years ago, Tom had surprised you to a trip to Paris for your birthday, a destination that he knew you were dying to see. The night of your birthday, he took you to the top of the illuminated Eiffel Tower. The view of Paris at night was breathtaking, and as you stood there with the love of your life, you knew there was nothing more you’d ever want.
“I have something for you.” He said eagerly as he held onto you from behind. He let go to pull a nicely wrapped box out of his coat pocket, and handed it to you.
“Tom,” you gasped, “you shouldn’t have. I thought the trip was my gift.” You said, but he nodded his head no.
“Nope, but now please open it.” He insisted and you did as you were told. You unwrapped the box and saw that it was from Cartier.
“Tom this is too expensive, I can’t accept it.” You tried to give the box back to him but he pushed it back to you.
“You haven’t even opened it yet, you don’t even know what’s inside!” He exclaimed as you rolled your eyes.
You opened the box and saw two thin gold cuff bracelets. After picking one up and admiring it for a second, you saw that there was an inscription on it inside. It read “je ne veux pas vivre sans toi.” You felt your eyes prick with tears, and Tom smiled as he wiped a tear away.
“Well, what does it translate to darling?” He asked as he held onto your waist.
“I don’t want to live without you.” You whispered back to him, smiling as he pulled you close to him.
“I still don’t understand though, why are there two of them?” You asked against his chest, and he pulled away. Tom reached into the box and grabbed one, grinning as he put it on his wrist.
“It’s for me to wear, so that we both know that we can’t live without each other.” He was crying too, and you wrapped your arms around his neck and held onto him, never wanting this night to end. »
You looked over at your phone on the nightstand near your bed to see what time it was, but you noticed a bracelet and a note that wasn’t there earlier. You picked up the bracelet and noticed that it was the Cartier cuff bracelet, but yours was buried in your junk drawer. Realizing that it was his, you saw a handwritten note underneath it, which read:
“I meant it when I said that in Paris, I love you and I don’t want to live without you.”
-Tom xx
You let out a sob as you clutched his bracelet, realising that he really did care about you, even after all this time.
You jumped out of bed and walked into the living room. Tom was snuggled up in a blanket, and his arm was hanging over the edge of the couch. His curls were in his face, and he looked peaceful. It was a stark difference from when you saw him earlier at the bar, but now he looks more like the old Tom, the one you had fallen in love with so long ago.
Carefully, in hopes of not waking him up, you put the bracelet on his arm that was hanging over the couch, but he began to stir a bit.
“Hmm, love? Is that you or Tessa?” He asked as you let a small laugh.
“It’s me.” You smiled as Tom sat up to look at you.
He grinned from ear to ear as he realised that you really were standing in front of him.
You sat down next to him on the couch, staring at the ground.
“Look,” you hesitated, “I appreciate the sentiment and all, but I’m still not sure if I can forgive you so easily. I mean, I’ve been hoping and praying that you would come back into my life and say all of these things I’ve been dying to hear you say, but now, it just doesn’t feel right. Especially since we haven’t spoken since, and I never did receive an apology from you or anything, until now. Why did you wait so long anyway?” You asked, watching as he thought of his response.
“I was a coward, that’s why. I didn’t think you’d ever want me back in your life anyways. When I asked people about how you were doing, they said you were thriving, and I didn’t want to interfere with that.”
“Wait, you asked about me?” You inquired, cutting him off.
“Of course, quite often actually.” He admitted. He half smiled and you half smiled back at him. “I didn’t deserve someone as amazing as you then, but I promise I’m going to change. For you, of course, I want to be a better man for you and you alone. I promise that on my life.” He smiled as a tear formed in his eyes. “I just want to regain your trust.”
Your eyes scanned his face, seeing if there was any indication of him lying, but you knew the words were genuine.
“Okay.” You said.
“Okay?” He questioned, a tinge of happiness laced in his voice.
“I’m willing to give you another chance, but we obviously have a lot to work on. However, I’m willing to allow you to regain my trust and try to make this work.”
He grinned, watching as you smiled softly back at him. “Love, I want to be better for you. I promise, whole heartedly. I promise I’ll protect you and never leave you, and I also promise that I won’t break your heart again.” He vowed, the corners of his eyes welling up with tears.
You grabbed his hand, him grabbing it back while he gently rubbed the top of your hand with his thumb.
“You better not.” You tearily laughed, watching his face break out into a smile.
“I won’t, I promise.”
And he kept his promise. It took some time to regain his trust, but he had shown that he could be faithful. Your relationship was smooth and happy since that night, and you had learned to accept his hectic life, fame and all. He was always besides you, checking and making sure that you were always alright.
Exactly two years later, down to the very date that you two reconciled, you and Tom got married right at the top of the Eiffel Tower, exactly where he had first told you that he couldn’t live without you. Now, he never would have to.

𝑨𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒀𝒐𝒖: part 2
Tumblr media
“It’s always been you. Has it always been me?”
pairing: Tobio Kageyama x fem!reader
rating/warnings: E for everyone :) [i think there are maybe two swear words in this but that should be it]
synopsis: You liked him. He liked you. Easy right? Well, maybe not as easy as you thought.
a/n: thank you for all the love on part one, it means sooo much! this is chapters 3&4 but is all included in part two :) enjoy xx
three: milk cartons
You took pride in always being one of the first people in class. You sat in your usual spot...second row, third seat. You looked down at your bag, seeing Kageyama’s sweater peek out. Just looking at it made you giddy. Before you knew it, in walked Kageyama. He sat in his usual spot, directly behind you. You never seemed to notice until recently. You tried to not think about it. Your morning of classes was slow. You enjoyed raising your hand any chance you had. Kageyama always hid behind you, never answering anything unless the teacher forced him. Soon rolled around lunch. You took out your neatly wrapped lunch and placed it on your desk. You started to eat before remembering that you hadn’t returned the sweater. You grabbed the sweater and turned around to face Kageyama. His face was half stuffed with a pork bun and his eyes widened at you, probably out of embarrassment.
“Hey Kags, here’s your sweater. Thanks again for letting me borrow it.” You smiled warmly at him. Kageyama was using all his will power to swallow the pork bun whole, just so he could get a response out.
“Oh yeah uh, n-no worries,” he muffled out, grabbing the sweater and putting in his bag. Kageyama of course didn’t want the sweater back. He worried that by returning the sweater, your little encounter would be over and he would go back to staring at you instead of talking to you.
“HEY KAGEYAMA!” You whipped your head around to see Hinata jumping up and down, so excited to see Kageyama. Soon trailed in Tsukishima and Yamaguchi.
“Hinata shut up,” said Kageyama, rolling his eyes. Hinita placed a carton of milk on Kageyama’s desk. Without saying anything, Kageyama nodded, and poked his straw into the milk.
“I see you got your sweater back,” said Tsukki. You jumped in your seat. Kageyama didn’t say anything, he simply gave Tsukishima the death stare.
“Well better Y/N wearing it tha-“ started Tsukishima, before Kageyama jumped up from his seat, grabbed his milk, and left the room. You watched as he stormed out, hearing his friends laugh behind you.
“Great Tsukishima, now he’s mad,” said little Hinata.
“I didn’t do anything. He’s probably just getting more milk,” Tsukki replied. “Anyway, not my fault the king of the court can’t get a girl.”
Those words hit you like a ton of bricks. Could they be talking about me? There’s no way. It's just a silly sweater anyway. You wanted to turn around and face them, to ask them who they were talking about. But before you knew it, out walked Tsukki, Tadashi, and Hinata and in walked Kageyama with another carton of milk.
School ended and you followed your normal routine: leaving class and going to the locker room to change. Not to your surprise, there was Kiyoko and Yachi, also getting changed.
“Hi Y/N,” smiled Kiyoko. You have known Kiyoko for most of your life. After all, she was best friends with your older sister.
“Hey Kiyoko.” You quickly changed into shorts, a sweatshirt, and your practice shoes.
“Is the cheer team coming to the game tomorrow?” asked Kiyoko. You had completely forgotten.
“Oh yeah we are!” You exclaimed. You loved game days. You loved being competitive, even if you were just watching. It was a volleyball game tomorrow, but you couldn’t remember against who. Did the team’s name start with an A or an S? You shook off your thoughts, because it didn’t really matter who they played against. You knew Karasuno would win. You smiled to yourself, and left.
Practice passed fairly quickly. You and the team simply reviewed the cheers that would be used for tomorrow’s game. You packed up your things and started to make your way home. You were thirsty, so you decided to grab a water bottle from the vending machine. As you approached the machine, there he was. No surprise that Kageyama was grabbing another milk carton for his trip home. He put in his money and grabbed the carton. As he turned around, he jumped a little, as if he was startled.
“Oh Y/N, you scared me,” he said as he adjusted his messy, sweat filled hair.
“Sorry, I just was gonna grab a water bottle.” Kageyama moved out of the way as you grabbed the water. He didn’t leave though.
“Would you like me to walk you home?” Kageyama blurted out. Your heart skipped a beat. You turned to face him, trying to contain your smile.
“I’d love that.”
~
The two of you walked in a comfortable silence for some time. You were happy enough to be with him again.
“Are you excited for your game tomorrow?” you asked. Kageyama turned to look at you, eyes wide. He was surprised you asked, let alone cared.
“Oh yeah. The team we are playing is pretty tough. Their setter is amazing,” he replied.
“You’re an amazing setter too,” you said, though you swore that it was only in your head.
“Oh- thank you,” he said shyly. “Isn’t the cheer team coming?”
“Yeah we are, I’m really excited to watch you all play,” you explained, though you really were just excited to watch him play. Kageyama nodded.
The realization that you would be watching him play made Kageyama even more nervous. The last thing he wanted was to lose in front of you.
You two continued to walk until you reached your house. Kageyama didn’t know how to say goodbye so he stood there until you started to walk up the steps to your door.
“Kags?” you called back at him. He quickly looked at you.
“Yes?”
“W-would you like to come over after your game tomorrow?” you asked. You couldn’t believe those words actually left your mouth. Kageyama couldn’t believe it either.
“Yes.”
Four: blue and white
You didn’t sleep at all that night. You tossed and turned until the sun came out. Thoughts of Kageyama filled your head. You wondered how the game would go. If he would still want to come over after. If he would be in a bad mood if they lost. If he would be in a good mood if they won, and what a ‘happy’ Kageyama even looks like. You tried to stay calm and not show how nervous you were. After all, your first focus was to be cheering at the game.
You began to pack your things and get changed. You put your poms in your bag and packed a water bottle. You changed into your uniform. It was a black turtleneck made of a spandex material under a black and orange shell. The skirt was far too short but there was nothing you could do about it now. You slipped on your white socks and shoes to complete the look. You grabbed your bag, your jacket, a snack, and headed out the door.
You walked until you reached Karasuno. Your team was already there, getting ready to board the bus. The volleyball boys were also there, boarding their bus. You discreetly tried to look for Kageyama but failed, concluding that he was already on the bus. You got on the bus and took a seat next to Koi. The drive felt short. The bus was quiet, everyone seemed to be just as anxious as you were.
Finally you arrived. The school was much nicer than Karasuno. You grabbed your things and got off the bus. You stood there with your team, waiting to go inside. You again tried to look for Kageyama but couldn’t see him. Finally, you caught a glimpse of a black haired figure looking down at Hinata, and you felt relieved.
You and your team started to head inside. You went to reach for your jacket until realizing that you dropped it on your way inside the school.
“Shoot, I left my jacket. I’ll meet you guys inside,” you told Koi. She nodded and you went back to look for your jacket.
“Is this yours?” you heard someone say behind you. You turned around to see a boy in a blue and white uniform, holding your jacket. You could only assume he was from the school. His brown hair was messy yet so perfectly placed. He looked older, possibly a third year.
“Oh my gosh, thank you!” you said, taking the jacket from his hands. He smiled at you warmly.
“No problem, cutie. What’s your name?” he asked you. Cutie?
“Oh its Y/N.”
“Well Y/N, you need to keep better track of your things. Wouldn’t want you to get cold,” he replied. Those words made you jump.
“Yeah...um may I ask your name?” He chuckled.
“Oh how rude of me, I just assumed you knew. Its O-”
“Oikawa.” You turned around in shock to see Kageyama, practically fuming.
“Oh Tobio-chan, I was just talking to a new friend,” said Oikawa. You looked at Kageyama and then back at Oikawa.
“Do you two know each other?” you asked, growing more and more uncomfortable.
“Oh well little Tobio-chan here is my special prodigy. Taught him everything he knows,” said Oikawa, now stepping towards Kageyama to be face to face with him.
“Y/N you shouldn’t be talking to him.” Kageyama was becoming more heated. You weren’t sure what to do.
“Oh we were just having a friendly conversation, Tobio. Nothing to get upset about.” You could tell that Kageyama was getting more annoyed by the minute. You tried to think of anything to break this up.
“Well would you look at the time, you two should really go inside and start getting warmed up!” You grabbed a hold of Kageyama’s hand and started to pull him away from Oikawa.
“Oh we’ve got time little cutie, I still need to get your number.” Your eyes widened and so did Kageyama’s.
“Just leave her alone Oikawa,” growled Kageyama. You couldn’t believe how protective Kageyama seemed to be getting over you.
“Wait a minute, don’t tell me? Is she your-” began Oikawa before being cut off.
“Shitty-kawa lets go!” another player with the same uniform called for Oikawa. He sighed.
“Well I’ll just have to get your number after the game. Good luck Tobio-chan, not like it will help though,” said Oikawa as he walked towards his teammate. You let out a sigh of relief.
“We should probably go inside,” you said. Kageyama nodded.
You two walked inside, not realizing you were still holding his hand. You saw Daichi wave for Kageyama. Kageyama looked at Daichi and nodded. He then looked at you, down at your hand, and then again at you.
“I, uh, have to go,” he smiled shyly.
“Yeah me too. Good luck Kags,” You said as you gave his hand a squeeze. His face turned red. He slowly let go of your hand and looked at Daichi one more time. After seeing that his teammates' backs were turned, he gave you a kiss on the cheek and ran off.

April Contest Submission #9: Shocking Confessions
Words: ca. 5,000 Setting: Modern AU with powers Lemon: No CW: Kinda angst, hospitals, anxiety
Soft gentle hands gently tug at the fashioned twin braids of Anna’s hair, slowly turning them into a frizzy mess. For how cold her sister often was, the kiss was hot, passionate. All her deepest desires all poured into one place. For several minutes, it felt like they were both lost in the empty blackness of space, holding tight to each other so they wouldn’t drift apart again. Then something starts to build within the nerves of Anna’s being. Something searing hot that burned through her blood and brought tears to her eyes.
Her body jolts with the electric currents, waking her from this trance. Anna’s head slams into the metal machinery above her head, the only conductor this electricity needed to infect everything else. As she shouts her pain and falls back to the base of this machine, the power and lights flicker, then go out completely. Heart beating extremely fast after the dream she just had, Anna stares at the screen above her head. A dim blue light shone on it, produced from her own eyes.
Anna?! Anna, are you alright?!” Elsa’s voice broke the silence in this small room just as her flashlight pierced the darkness. Momentary relief washes over Anna, before remembering why she was here. What would she say to them? Dreams like that were meant to stay out of this place and in her own bed only, but it wasn’t like she could control it. Continuing to lie about them would make so many dents in the progress they were trying to make. Controlling these abilities used to be so much easier…
“Y- yeah, I’m okay.” She could hear the sigh of relief from Elsa.
“Thank god. You shorted out all the power in the hospital again. At least this time they know how to get it back online quicker. You’re still going to have to crawl out from inside there.” With a dismayed sigh of her own, Anna carefully rolls herself over onto her stomach so she could try pulling herself through the small gap at the end of the cylindrical machine. Just like last time, Elsa was there to catch her arms and pull her out. This time though, the blonde holds Anna tight in a hug. She could feel the older woman’s heartbeat going very fast.
“Sorry… I didn’t mean to.”
“I know, baby…” A pale gentle hand strokes the back of Anna’s head, which normally would’ve been a soothing gesture for her had the dream not happened. Not wanting the flashbacks for fear of accidentally shocking her sister, she pushes herself away. “What is it? What made this happen again?”
“Just another nightmare.”
“Anna, you know you can’t be that vague. We need to know what’s haunting your mind. We need to know why your powers are responding to it like they are! It’s for your, and everyone else’s, safety. That’s why we’re doing this in the first place, remember?” Desperately searching on loose strings for an excuse, Anna holds her arms tight over her chest, hoping that the constriction would calm her down.
“I- I just need a moment, okay?” Her anxiety was plain as day in her voice. Elsa once again reaches towards her with her free hand, but Anna flinches away. In seeing the hurt on her sister’s face from the motion, the ginger gives a defeated sigh and moves into the careful embrace. This time, Elsa wouldn’t make any rash movements, just hold the girl.
“Fine, but you have to tell me within the hour, otherwise I know you’ll forget.” An hour was probably enough time to think of something, but Anna wanted so bad to confess. This secret had dragged her down for about a couple years, wasting too much research and money. She knew Elsa was terribly worried for her, too. It was just… a terrifying subject to bring up. There was no way to know how her sister would respond to it. “Anna?”
“Yeah, I will, I promise. Can we… go to the place?” Elsa seems a bit hesitant to reply, but does so just as the lights flicker on again.
“Yes, just as soon as we get the results.” The machine behind Anna starts to whirr back to life and Elsa quickly leans forward to turn it off. She was one of the employees here at the hospital, and the reason they were able to afford this kind of thing in the first place. It was a different kind of place than you’d normally imagine a hospital to be, but it still helped people. It just specialized in helping a certain strange kind of people. A long slip of paper buzzes out from a slot in the machine that Elsa takes and looks over while Anna continues hugging the taller woman. When the only response to her findings was a hum, the ginger curiously tries to look at the slip of paper, only for Elsa to raise it above her eye level. “Looks like you’ve started sleep talking now, too.”
“Wait what?!” Panicking over this idea, Anna reaches up to grab the slip and pull it out of Elsa’s grasp. However, all that was on it was her heart rate over the course of time she was asleep and other squiggle lines she didn’t understand the meaning of.
“Hey!” Elsa takes it back with a glare.
“Sleep talking? How could you tell? All that shows is my heart rate.”
“You think I don’t know that? There’s a microphone on the machine. There used to be a soundproof sealing on the end in case the patient would scream during testing. Of course, we would immediately shut down the test, but we couldn’t have screams echoing down the hallway.”
“Oh. How come it’s gone?” Elsa finally turns off her flashlight and clips it to her bluejeans, her gaze still looking at the piece of paper more so to likely avoid looking at Anna.
“Well, with the fear of power outages, we found it would be too easy for patients to get stuck and suffocate. For those who need the containment, they have backup generators in their rooms, but you don’t require such concealment.” Guilt crawls into Anna’s chest, ruining any appetite she had. She couldn’t keep doing this. It was harming others needlessly, not to mention costing the building far more money for the generators. Today, she had to tell her sister what was really going on, no matter the suffering she would have to endure. A lifelong friendship with her big sister ruined by a single sentence.
“I’m sorry.” Folding the paper and stuffing it into her pocket, Elsa reaches down and takes Anna’s hand.
“It isn’t your fault, Anna. We can only blame our parents for not letting you get the help you needed. Besides, the weather can be unpredictable sometimes.”
“But I was doing so well with them! Until… Until…” With her other hand, Anna wipes away the tears trying to glaze her eyes. “They didn’t want people to experiment on me.”
“No one is experimenting on you!” It sounds like it takes a lot for Elsa to say that without a growl. Anna should’ve known better than to bring up something their parents and Elsa argued about so often. “We are observing and working on finding solutions for the problem.”
“Right..” She almost apologized again, but restrained from doing so, so Elsa wouldn’t feel worse about yelling than Anna already knew she did. The blonde’s arm wraps around Anna’s shoulders as she leads her to the door and out into the bright white hallway. This place had the makings of an asylum, with the twist of actually helping people get better and letting them leave. Some patients just took a little longer than others and had no family or home to go back to, so they stayed, but Anna has Elsa.
“Hey, I have something for you.” After getting into the car, Anna curiously looks over to Elsa, who held up a KitKat bar. Instantly, a smile grew over Anna’s face, always taken by the candy bar. When Anna takes and unwraps it, she breaks off the two pieces from each other and offers the other one to her big sister, just like always. It was like a short little break they could share together despite the trials of this stressful everyday life. The break was less the candybar and more being able to take a small moment with Elsa. Without disappointment, Elsa accepts the other half and bites into it before starting the car. Somehow, the blonde never failed to have one after every stressful occasion. Even on the day of their parent’s unexpected demise, they shared the solemn binding treat. Anna knew that Elsa suspected their death was the reason Anna kept having nightmares, but that obviously couldn’t be true. However, after that day, the two had become more inseparable. When they didn’t have to be away from each other, they did everything together. So, in a way, their parent’s death was definitely a contributing factor. Because Elsa had a financially stable career and Anna had just become an adult, the ginger had moved in with her sister, with only one requirement: that Anna had to forgo observation over her abilities.
A half hour later into their drive and they had finally made it to the river trail that Anna loved so much. There was something about how the air just felt much more peaceful and crisp to her senses. Maybe it was just because she had been cramped in a tiny space and a tiny room for so long, but the freedom was amazing. Despite the warm summer weather, they found no one on the trail as they trekked through the dirt path. Not that Anna would mind. As long as she had her sister, she would always be perfectly content, even if the blonde was a little overprotective and made her at least wear a jacket against the sun’s rays. Sure, she thought about maybe getting friends outside of family, even a girlfriend to try and rid herself of the romantic lust she held for her sister, but no one was worth her time the same way. Friends after school just didn’t seem to stick to her. Besides, she wanted to believe Elsa needed her just as much as Anna felt she needed Elsa.
The river was loud as they approached, rushing against its rocky bank. A large stretch of grass separated the trees from the water, bathed in warm sunlight that looked more than welcoming to sit in. So, they did. It was a wonder why such a loud spot would be so calming, but Anna liked to listen to it like music. Just another way to drown out the nervous thoughts in her head. Elsa said she enjoyed sitting near it as well, but she always wore such a sad expression whenever they did. Today was no different. Her big sister watched the water with a glassy blue gaze, somehow still stunning when looking so depressed.
“Elsa?”
“Hm?”
“I think I’m ready to tell you.” Anna’s gut twisted with her anxiety and guilt, only getting worse when Elsa looks up at her. Now that she had the blonde’s undivided attention, her voice seemed to die in her throat.
“Take your time. Don’t forget to breathe. In three, out four.” Nodding, Anna takes a deep breath and then slowly lets it out. This wasn’t the first time she tried to tell Elsa the truth. Except, every other time, she chickened out and went with the most believable excuse she could come up with.
“It’s you,” she quickly confesses. So quickly, in fact, that Elsa doesn’t react for another few moments.
“What?”
“You.”
“Me? What about me?” Elsa seemed completely confused, which was to be expected.
“Would it make more sense to say it wasn’t actually a nightmare?”
“Oh… Oh!!” The blonde exclaims, her eyes wide with what could have been surprise, but looked more like the face of someone who found the answer to an impossible puzzle. Slowly, she reaches into her pocket to retrieve the slip of paper. “Wait…” Squinting as she stares, Elsa’s face gave away that she was trying really hard to think of something to say, probably a scientific explanation to try and resolve any awkwardness. “Well, if this is the first time it has happened, then it obviously doesn’t really mean anything, so-”
“It isn’t.” Anna cuts off, her teeth buried into her lip while she fidgets with her hands. Afraid of what she might see, her gaze avoids Elsa’s. The silence that followed was due to Anna being too ashamed to explain any further and Elsa searching for the right thing to respond with. What the hell would be the right thing to say in this scenario? Was this it? Were they going to forget about the whole thing and stop the tests? Write it off as insignificant and keep living their lives? That had to be the best case scenario. The worst would be Elsa separating herself from Anna in order to try and help her.
“Why?” Was not the answer she expected. Perhaps the one she should have though. For the first time in a really long time, Elsa’s powers finally show itself. Ice creeps along the grass from under the blonde’s hand on the ground, the other still holding the slip of paper very tightly. Worry and dismay grows in Anna’s chest, afraid this was a huge mistake. There was no taking it back now.
“I… Elsa, why would I know? Do you think I would have asked for these feelings?”
“I was asking about the dreams, but uh.. now it’s a pretty clear answer.” Face flushing in embarrassment, Anna shoots a glare at her sister, only to get a nervous kind smile in return. Elsa’s smile made it practically impossible to be mad at her, but if Anna wasn’t going to be mad, she could feel the sadness creeping into her eyes. A hopeless sensation that started happening that night when they got the call. Likely depression, but Anna refused to let her sister take her to get any real diagnosis. To her, medication wasn’t a solution, and therapy would only keep her away from Elsa longer- who she viewed to be the only form of medicine needed. She could tell Elsa carried something from that night as well. Elsa would hesitate to pick up her cellphone when it rang every time, very unlike the quick precise person she was. At work, she made no such hesitation. “So, how long have you been lying to me, Anna?” The question pulls Anna back to reality, where she was sitting here in the middle of the forest confessing to her big sister. Oh god, what had she been thinking…
“I prefer to call it ‘strategically avoiding an awkward conversation’. Lying to you sounds bad.”
“Anna, I’ve been so worried about you. I thought things were haunting you.”
“Things are haunting me! Sort of. Just… not monstrous things. More like illegal things, like tax evasion.” Elsa had the audacity to laugh.
“Incestuous feelings, you mean.” When Anna refuses to look at Elsa again, she brings herself closer to the ginger and wraps an arm around her. Anna groans and drops her head in her hands, leaving Elsa to semi-awkwardly rub her back with a hand. “Just out of curiosity, when did these… uhm.. When did this start?”
“Mhh hard to say,” she lies, her face feeling very hot from embarrassment. “Maybe 2 years ago.”
“2 years ago?! Anna, what the fuck?!”
“I thought it would go away! You know, like a normal crush!” It was unlike Elsa to swear, but maybe this situation could warrant nothing other than profanities. “Does it even matter? Like- truly? I’m practically over it anyways, which is why I decided to tell you now.”
“Oh really? Does someone who’s over said crush have such…” Elsa seems to wrestle with the words for a moment before choking them out, “intense dreams that end up wiping out all power in that large ass facility? You must have been feeling something! If it wasn’t fear then it had to have been…” she trails off, suddenly feeling too embarrassed herself now to say it.
“Would you believe me if I said yes?”
“No!”
“Oh, so just cause you’re a scientist, you suddenly know everything about emotions?” Anna watches Elsa now, whose face was a mix of panic and something else.
“Well, I don’t know everything, but I have a decent idea about the chemicals and reasons for certain reactions.” Rolling her eyes, Anna scoffs at her sister’s claim. Of course, always with the logic with her. Unfortunately for the scientist, Anna wasn’t willing to reason with her logic, or the chemicals she claimed.
“If that’s true, why don’t you explain this then?”
“Explain what, specifically?”
“How on earth I’m attracted to you!”
“I would sound like a narcissist if I did…”
“Do it for your precious science.” Her glare found Elsa’s uncertain gaze, where they shared a moment of silence. Well, as much silence as you could get while near the river.
“Fine. In theory, romantic feelings could be aroused by looks or certain personality quirks. Or, all of that could go out the window when it comes to a stranger, or even someone you care about, touching you in a different way.” It seemed to make Elsa incredibly nervous to talk about this, stumbling a bit on the words and going back on them to reiterate. Anna didn’t even know why she wanted her to explain it. Maybe because her older sister seemed so confident with her reasoning and staying calm rather than actually feeling things herself, and acting rather than thinking for once. Yeah, that was probably it.
“Touching in what way?” Struggling not to smirk as she asks it, Elsa finally returns the glare.
“Not the kind you’re thinking about.”
“How do you know, smarty-pants?” Suddenly, Anna found Elsa’s hand at her waist. It stayed for merely a moment before disappearing and reappearing on Anna’s thigh instead.
“Touches like that. Certain nerves that are for the ‘lover’s interest’.” Then her hand falls back into her lap and Anna could finally let out the breath she held. However, it didn’t escape her how Elsa could have simply said these things instead of demonstrating. The ginger’s eyes now try to maintain eye contact with Elsa’s, but the blonde unfortunately seems far more interested in keeping them on the grass. “However, it’s completely determined on the relationship you share with that person or whether your brain already finds them attractive visually. As sisters, we are extremely close with each other, and neither of us go out to see many other people unless it’s at work.”
“Yeah, but you’re my sister, so this logic is complete bullshit.” Anna says, matter-of-factly.
“M-most sisters probably aren’t as close on a daily basis as we are. Among already living together, dining out together, and not already seeing other people, my coworkers have already asked if you were my girlfriend. I think not sleeping in the same bedroom and making out with each other are the only things that divide the line between us being sisters or a couple.”
“Why are you defending my feelings for you?” Suddenly taken aback by her sister’s surprisingly quickly executed rebuttal, Anna stares at Elsa with wide eyes. This was not at all what she expected this confession to be like. Though, it may still end very horribly…  Knowing Elsa and how little she judged a person, she must be very conflicted. “Excuse me for a moment.” Needing a break from this conversation, Anna gets to her feet and quickly walks back towards the trees. Within the forestry, the ginger stops herself at a place she was sure she could find her way back to where she had left Elsa. The sound of the river was still very close, but muffled enough that she could think and try to calm herself down.
When hugging her arms over her chest and leaning back into a tree, Anna could feel something in her left boob pocket. It crinkled and pressed awkwardly against her chest. Slowly unwrapping her arms, she curiously reaches into the pocket to retrieve that familiar red wrapper in its technically trapezoid shape because of the candy within. Despite it basically being her comfort food, Anna never bought it for herself. The candy was just something Elsa liked to get her once being able to pay for things on her own. If she were being honest, she didn’t even like them much at first, but anything from her sister was everything to her, even at 8 years old. How had the years quickly escaped them both?
Anna easily tears the wrapper, leaving the double chocolate bars in the palm of her hand, so she could tuck the wrapper back into her denim pocket. Then, being careful not to drop either piece, she snaps the two from each other. Sure, at the moment, there was no Elsa to share it with, and the thought of enjoying both bars sounded sad, but this had clearly been put in her pocket deliberately. Elsa probably wanted Anna to eat it when she needed to think of sweet wonderful times with her big sister. Though, after confessing her romantic love for Elsa, that thought made her feel kind of ill. Regardless, she had already removed the wrapper and wasn’t about to let the candy go to waste.
“Wow. Already breaking off your KitKats without me now? Might as well make it official and move out.” At the sudden sound of Elsa’s voice, Anna jumps in surprise, almost dropping the chocolate. The older woman had apparently been summoned by the snapping of a KitKat..
“Jeez Elsa, you scared me!” Out of habit, she offers the other bar to Elsa while biting into her own. The blonde doesn’t hesitate to take it and join her sister leaning against the tree. Anna knew Elsa was just kidding about the moving out thing, but she started considering it. Not living in the same house as her sister would make her feelings easier to abolish, wouldn’t it? “Yknow, maybe I should.”
“What? Anna, I was joking.”
“I know, but I’m not.” There was a new tense kind of silence, like Elsa was holding back from saying something.
“That’s ridiculous! There’s no reason to. No, you don’t need to move out. It would just complicate everything. Unnecessary. Besides, with your financial stability right now, and the way your ability is acting up, it’s just… well, a wildly horrible decision. As your big sister, I really suggest you stop thinking about the idea altogether, e- even after you get that… financial stability.” Ah, there it was. Highly suspicious that Elsa wanted to keep her so close. Or was it? Damn, it’s so hard to know when trying to read her sister. Sometimes it was like Elsa felt the same, and other times it was like she was reading all the signals completely wrong. Such a frustrating way to live.
“No reason to? Elsa, I-”
“I know, but that doesn’t matter! I don’t want to lose you!”
“Then why did you hesitate to decide that?”
“Anna!” With an exasperated groan, Elsa pushes herself off the tree to face Anna with a furious expression. “Why are you making this so difficult for us both?”
“Because I’m afraid to admit that you’re right! Right about everything! Because this is wrong! Everything about it is wrong! I shouldn’t feel this way, but I know exactly why I do. You care about me like no one else does. You hold me like I’m the last person you ever want to let go. You know everything about me! I don’t go out to make friends, because you’re the only person I ever want to be around. You’re everything to me!” Her walls were breaking, falling apart like a KitKat bar that you’d left in your pocket for too long, thankfully unlike the one she had discovered. Before she even knew she was crying, cold fingers were gently wiping away her tears. “And here you are, keeping me close to you when I just want to make this better for you for once!” Once again, the silence carries on for several moments too long. Part of Anna wanted Elsa to finally be disgusted and tell her to be better, to get rid of these foolish feelings so she might actually be able to, but that’s not what happened. Instead, Elsa’s response was to press a very soft kiss to Anna’s forehead, and then her tear stained cheek, and finally… her quivering lips. Elsa’s hand cradles Anna’s face, her other hand resting over the one Anna had against the tree. This moment must’ve lasted for several seconds, but to Anna, it only existed for the fragment of a second. Far too short to register what was going on.
When it was over, it was almost like nothing had happened. No loud explosions or confetti. Only the loud noise of water hitting rock over and over again. Anna dazedly stares at her sister, absolutely shocked by this turn of events, despite her earlier suspicions. Elsa seemed not to know what to say either, likely worried she had made a horrible decision by the look on her face. Finally, the ginger let out her breath, a rather familiar sensation roaming her body. Was this another dream? Eager not to lose this chance, she leans towards Elsa, only for the blonde to fall away with a gasp.
“Ow!!!” Elsa stares at her hand, a burn spot on the back with light grey smoke drifting from it. Quickly, the older woman sprints back to the river, where she could submerge her burned hand under the freezing surface. Anna chases after her in a panic.
“Elsa! Oh god, I’m so sorry!” Definitely not a dream. Watching Elsa take one deep breath after the other, it was evident by the frustration on her face how badly she was trying to stop herself from cussing.
“It’s fine. I’m fine.” Elsa hisses out. “At least now we have actual answers that we can start working with. Damn it, Anna. 2 years…” Worried about her sister, but afraid to get too close to her again, Anna crouches down a foot or so away.
“I know, I know, I- Wait, are we just not going to talk about you kissing me?”
“Why would we? Didn’t seem like you minded all that much. Unless that’s the reason you zapped my hand.”
“No! No, I didn’t mean to. Why would we-?! We would talk about it, because it was absurd and illegal and amazing and… and..!” Thinking about it brought a wave of mixed feelings upon Anna, mainly of astounded confusion. Though all it brought to Elsa was another smile to watch the blush on Anna’s face grow. “Don’t laugh, this is serious!”
“I’m not laughing. I just love watching you slowly register things. Like when it took you 2 years to realize I love you, too.”
“Y- you what? I mean, of course you do. We’re sisters, of course you love me. Th- this is different.”
“Alright, I take it back. 2 years and… I’ll give this a week, because I’m generous.” Offended, Anna didn’t think twice before pushing Elsa. Of course, the blonde just had to lose her balance and fall forward into the river. The current swept her away before she could bob to the surface, but luckily, a couple of rocks stopped her from getting too far downstream.
“Elsa!!!” Anna’s spontaneous nature told her to jump in after her sister, but with how unpredictable her powers were becoming, she might as well just be a damn toaster. So, instead, she stood at the edge panicking.
“I’m fine! Just stay there!” Elsa shouts over the water. Using her own ability, she creates a solid wall of ice against the water. The object had enough force to throw the water back onto itself and start to rise up the river edges very quickly, but it also gave Elsa a short amount of time to battle against no current and to get back to the edge. Instantly, Anna crouches down and extends her hand out to her sister, who just barely manages to take it before letting the wall fall. Water crashes over them both in a powerful cascade, Anna holding tight to Elsa’s arm with both hands while trying to pull her up onto the grass. Only when Elsa gets her other hand up to solid ground was she able to pull herself over, Anna then dragging her away from the water.
“Elsa, I’m so sorry. I’m such a disaster. Please, I’ll find a way to make today up to you.” Elsa just gives a small groan, her eyes slipping closed for a moment. Anna feared the worst despite knowing her sister better than that.
“There’s only one way I’ll let you make this up to me.” Elsa’s voice was almost too quiet to hear, clearly exhausted.
 “Anything!”
“Continue breaking your KitKats with me and… don’t ever stop loving me the way you do.” Hesitating, Anna stares down at Elsa’s tired face until she finally opens her gorgeous blue eyes again.
“Elsa, are you sure?” Her sister gives a tired nod. “Okay.” While still being very confused by this turn of events, she would still do anything for Elsa.
“Say it.. Out loud.” Elsa specifies, her eyes staring deep into Anna’s. It made the ginger’s heart beat hard against her chest, like Elsa was asking her to recite an oath instead of a simple request. So full of emotion and desperation…
“Elsa…”
“Please. You’re my everything, too, Anna.” Elsa’s voice suddenly sounded very broken and weak, like she was about to start crying. “You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me.” A small smile teases the edges of Anna’s lips. Of anything to come from confessing, relief was not something she expected. Her hand gently pushes back wet strands of platinum hair from Elsa’s face before softly caressing her sister’s cheek.
“I promise to always share my KitKats with you, and I promise to never stop loving you the way I do right now. Unconditionally and completely.” Elsa’s mouth grew into a relieved smile, her eyes slipping closed again as Anna took this opportunity to finally get the embrace she dreamed so often about.

Finding You
Cross Posted to AO3
The Conlons moved from Ireland to New York when Spot was ten and he ran away a little under a year later. If you asked him about it, he would tell you that nothing particularly dramatic happened to push him to make that final leap, he would tell you that he had just decided that he had had enough of the fighting, the violence and the judgement and there, in New York, he found that he knew the streets in a way that he had never known his way around in Ireland.
To him, it was as if he had been there before and spent a lifetime learning how to get around in the easiest, quickest, safest way possible. This was, of course completely true. Spot didn’t know that though- unlike the Jacobs siblings, still several hundred miles away, he had repressed the memories of before and wasn’t aware that he had actually been in New York before.
Regardless of what he remembered, he ran away from the little home his father had bought and navigated the streets of Brooklyn, into Manhattan, with no conscious idea of where he was going.
When the evening came, he found himself a back alley outside a small bakery to sleep in and dug through the trash until he found an oversized winter jacket- it was missing most of its fasteners, and there were a few rips in it, but it was warm and it covered Spot enough to keep him hidden. He slept there that night, fitfully and woken by every odd noise, flinching every time he heard footsteps or a door slamming. He was exhausted when morning came and the bakery’s workers began setting up for the day, and he was also starving. The bread oven was on and he could smell it baking; he hadn’t eaten in over 12 hours, despite being used to having three meals a day and it was beginning to hurt.
He curled up further into the coat and refused to cry.
“I think it’s a kid…” he heard a voice whisper, “we don’t know what to do,”
He sat up at that, noticing that the door he had been curled up opposite was open now, and he had obviously been asleep because the sun was much higher in the sky- he couldn’t run away, he would be noticed almost immediately.
“Hey.” A voice said, from the doorway and Spot looked up into the eyes of a concerned man. A concerned man that part of him recognised, that part of him was convinced he could trust.
“Hi.”
“Are you hungry?” The man continued, holding out a paper bag, “I brough some food.”
Spot uncurled enough to lean forwards and take the bag, inside was a medium sized roll of bread and a croissant. “Thank you.” He said, stuffing the food into his mouth.
“Hey, hey not so fast,” the man said, leaning forwards to stop him shoving the whole roll in at once, “you’ll make yourself sick.”
Obediently, Spot slowed his chewing down, cursing himself for being so afraid of people that he would just follow orders without question. The man broke off bits of the roll and handed them to him, apparently not trusting that he wouldn’t just eat it at once.
“I’m Denton.” The man said, “Bryan Denton, I’m a teacher at the local high school.”
Spot knew that the man wanted his name, but if he gave Denton his name then he would be able to find his parents and send him back,
“Hey, hey.” The man said, for the second time, “I’m not gonna hurt you, and I’m not gonna send you back to wherever you ran away from.”
“What makes you think I ran away from anywhere?” Spot demanded, ripping the bit of roll that he had into smaller pieces.
“I foster three children,” Denton told him, “Niamh, Sophia, and Tommy. They’re all with me because they ran away from bad lives.”
“Oh.” The names were familiar to him in the same way that Denton himself had been, and now that Spot thought about it they were all familiar in the same way the streets of New York had been.
“I have a spare room.” Denton continued casually, as if they were discussing the weather rather than the fact that Spot had run away. “It’s yours if you want it.”
“You won’t send me back?” Spot asked, hating how small he sounded, “Even if they come looking?”
“I would never send you back somewhere you hated so much that you ran away.”
“Ok.”
Denton was true to his word with a vigour that Spot had not expected, he dealt with the police, he dealt with his parents’ lawyers and he fought tooth and nail to keep Spot with him. Niamh- Hotshot as she had introduced herself- said that he had done the same for all three of them, and then she had looked at him as if she was expecting that to mean something. It didn’t, but Spot was pretty certain that somewhere deep inside of him it did, and he just had to uncover that part.
*
Race, on the other hand, had lived in New York his entire life. His parents had emigrated from Italy when his mother was pregnant, and he had been born in Manhattan. He spoke Italian at home and English at school, and his memories came to him as he was introduced to the people he had known before.
He met Jack when they were both five, had called him Cowboy immediately, and both of them had remembered another time when they were both five and Jack had introduced himself as Cowboy. After that, the memories kind of grew as he aged, or sometimes if a major event happened, and he found himself with a group of friends who knew him better than he knew himself and a nickname that his parents hated. Not that it really mattered what his parents thought because they were both killed in a car crash when he was eight.
Jack took him to Kloppman’s, Kloppman took him in, the state approved it and Racetrack found himself with friends that were more like family. An easy move from orphaned to in a home, much easier than some of the other boys’, even if he did sometimes find himself waking up, the memory of the crunch of the car and the screams of his mother at the front of his mind.
*
Race and Spot met when they were eleven, two weeks after Spot had moved into Denton’s alongside Hotshot, Smalls, and Tommy Boy, and that was the catalyst for Spot’s repressed memories to make their way back into the forefront of his mind.
“I’m Racetrack.” The curly-haired blond boy who was missing three teeth had said, sticking his hand out for Spot to shake, “But you can call me Race or Racer because everyone does.”
“I’m Racetrack,” The other newsie had said, “But folks mostly call me Race or Racer, on account of I sell at the races.”
“I’m Spot.” He said, shaking the hand carefully, and wondering why it had felt like something was missing.
“Thanks for letting me stay then, your majesty,” Racer had said, grinning, and he spat into his hand and held it out to seal their business deal.
They had been inseparable for the rest of the day, since Spot had decided to stick by Race until he worked out why he could remember another version of Race, and Spot remembered that Denton had seen the two of them together and smiled like something made perfect sense.
“It’s time to go home, Spot,”
“Sure,” Denton laughed, “you ask the governor to give you a ride home in his carriage.”
“Alright, I’ll see you tomorrow, Race.”
“And the rest of us!” Jack yelled, “We’ll see you too,”
“You know, Spot, sometimes I feel you only come over here to see Racer.”
“I do, Cowboy, shut up.”
“Bye!”
They had left then, and Spot had turned around to glance at the entrance as Smalls and Tommy Boy ran ahead, fighting with sticks, and he was struck by the idea that it said the wrong thing.
“You’ll sort it out,” Denton told him, quietly, “It’s confusing at first, but you’ll sort it out.”
*
Two years later, Denton had proven to be correct, while sometimes one person would say something that remined him of one specific memory, he no longer felt utterly confused by them, and after Katherine joined, he had someone who actually wanted to talk about why they had those memories rather than just accepting them like everyone else did.
“I don’t know,” she said, taking a sip of her overpriced coffee, “I mean when I first met Jack, I looked at him and remembered the penthouse, and the ‘Hattan newsies in detail, and I remembered more about them the more of them I met- and same for you.”
“When I met Racer for the first time, I remembered meeting him for the first time last time.”
She nodded and pushed her hair back from her face- it was shorter this time round, shoulder length rather than long, but she still kept it pinned back at the front in the 1890s style. Spot had asked her why once and she had admitted that some old habits remained.
“It’s odd, though, I mean why only us, and everyone connected to us? Do other people remember past lives?”
“What are you gonna do, ask them?”
She laughed and shook her head, “Somehow I don’t think that would go down great.”
Talking with Katherine was nice; they hadn’t had any real friendship in the early 20th Century, so he was able to talk to her without the strong memories that he had connected to the others intervening, and she was logical when discussing the idea of reincarnation rather than jokey like the others.
“Mouth would know what to do,” he said, staring down at his now-cold hot chocolate.
Katherine nodded, mournfully, “Sometimes I find myself looking round for Sarah, but she’s not there.”
“I’m glad Racer is here.”
*
Remembering a past romantic relationship that they had had with each other hadn’t happened immediately, rather it had slowly slipped in alongside all other memories while Spot found himself more comfortable with physical contact with Racer until Race just sat in his lap sometimes without asking, and then he had kissed Race goodbye without thinking about it, and the memories had flooded in on his walk home.
Sheepshead. The stables. A little alcove where they ate lunch.
The docks. The water where they would both strip down. Kissing under the dock after dark.
The lodging house. Spot’s private room. Holding him to his chest until they fell asleep. Waking up with him still there.
They never really addressed it, Race had just come up to him the next day, asked if he remembered and kissed him again when Spot said he did. It was natural. It was good. It was a little weird to be so public about it, and more than once he found himself stepping back whenever someone came into the room, but Race did the same. They grew more comfortable.
They didn’t go to Sheepshead anymore, nor did they go to the docks, but they had Kloppman’s like they had had the Manhattan lodging house, and they had Denton’s like they had had Spot’s private room.
“I love you.” Race told him, eyes fixed on the TV screen, “I did last time as well, but I couldn’t say it.”
“I love you too.”
Whispering it into Race’s hair after he had fallen asleep, wishing that things could be different.
Saying it aloud whenever he wanted to because things were different.

****
The night was cold, Jungkook’s breath fogging as he huffed, zipping up his jacket. Walking down the porch of his house, he made his way towards Ella’s place, hands stuffed in his pockets with a frown.
Her bedroom was around the side of the house, so he unlatched the gate, grabbing some pebbles and stepping through, closing the door behind him. It was 10 minutes to 11 so her light was still on. Twisting one of the pebbles in his hand, he sent it soaring towards her window. His fingers ached from the cold but he waited patiently.
The curtains fluttered slightly before a gap in the center appeared and Ella looked down, brow wrinkling as she went to unlatch her window and pull it open. “What are you doing?” She whispered and it was so endearing he couldn’t help but smile.
“Can we talk for a minute?” He called back, careful to keep his voice low.
“You could have texted, you know. Not that I’m opposed to the Romeo and Juliet balcony stuff,” she teased, leaning against her window, “but it’s absolutely freezing right now!”
“Meet me on your porch?”
Ella nodded, closing the window and locking it before disappearing behind the curtain and Jungkook made his way back out to the front, dropping the few pebbles he had left over back into the grass.
He only had to wait a moment longer before Ella made her way out onto the porch, body wrapped warm in a coat that was absurdly large and made her look like a marshmallow. He grinned, patting the spot beside him on the porch swing and she came to sit beside him, shivering despite her protection.
“What’s going on?” She asked softly, turning to look at him and he almost lost his composure. Her cheeks were squished upwards from the collar of her coat and she looked like the Pillsbury doughboy. Jungkook sighed, leaning back against the swing and rocking it slightly with his feet.
The movement made a sharp breeze whip against his cheeks and he stopped quickly. It was too cold for that.
“Rachel and I broke up.” He murmured, staring out into the sky. Over the tops of the houses he could just make out the stars. The street lamps hummed lowly, their light blurring the luster of the moon.
“I’m so sorry!” Ella whispered.
“’s ok.” He sighed, shrugging. “Honestly, it should have happened months ago. She was pretty mad, though.”
“What did she say?”
He shrugged again, dragging his fingernail across the wood of the bench. “Lots of stuff. Mostly things about me, about how I’m selfish and stupid and I don’t deserve to be popular. Whatever. She also insulted my skills in bed, but I never heard her complaining before.” He huffed, rolling his eyes. “Honestly, the worst of it wasn’t even about me. I get it, she felt angry so she wanted to make me hurt, but then she went after my parents. Talked about how I must have gotten my stupidity from my dad since he doesn’t even know how to learn English well.”
Jungkook grit his teeth together angrily. He’d been so mad he’d wanted to hit something. His dad was his idol, he’d moved from Korea as a young man and learned English after getting here. Jungkook’s mom was a big part of the reason he was even able to learn as quickly as he did because they started dating and she would help him practice, take time out of her day to explain grammar and sentence structure to him.
He’d worked so hard and the fact that Rachel was insulting his intelligence made Jungkook’s blood boil. She could attack his character all she wanted for all he cared, but his family had nothing to do with them.
“She’s stupid!” Ella fumed, cheeks puffed up with fury and Jungkook smiled. “How childish, to go after your dad. Your dad is amazing! It’s not easy to learn a second language, I bet she doesn’t even know one so who’s really the idiot, huh?”
“She accused me of cheating too. Like I would ever.” He scoffed, “She’s pushy and a bully, but I’m loyal; I’d never cheat.”
“What kind of evidence does she even have to back that up?” Ella asked, flabbergasted.
“Well, she’s seen us hanging out a lot recently and just kind of assumed. I hope you never felt like I was being inappropriate.” He said, turning to face her suddenly, “You’re one of my best friends, I’d hate to lose you.”
“Don’t worry, Jungkook.” Ella smiled, “I never felt like you were being inappropriate. You’re my friend and I respect you and I’ve always felt like that was mutual.”
“I do respect you.” Jungkook nodded, reaching out his hand to grab her own. “You mean a lot to me. You’re a really cool girl, Ella. You’re smart and nice and so pretty; some guy out there is really lucky to have you as his soulmate.”
Ella smiled, chin dipping into the edges of her coat. “Thanks, Jungkook.”
He sighed, breath fogging the air again as she stared back out at the street, Ella’s fingers still locked in his own. He stood, pulling her up with him and walked her towards her door. “I should go now.” He murmured, looking down at her and she nodded.
He’s not sure why, but suddenly he was leaning forward and kissing her cheek. Her skin was cold from the evenings touch and he loosened his grip on her hand, letting her go. “Thanks for listening to me.” He murmured.
She nodded, shy, before heading back into the house with a mumbled goodnight and locking the door behind her. Jungkook trudged back across the front lawn towards his house, grass crunching beneath his shoes.
The house was dark when he got back inside; his parents probably asleep by now. After hanging his coat in the closet and kicking off his shoes, he made his way quietly back up the stairs. There was less than an hour until midnight and he’d officially get his soulmate tattoo.
For the first time ever, he thought of the implications of that moment. It was inconvenient timing, now that he was a little interested in Ella. He doubted she was his soulmate which made everything that much more complicated. The idea of being faced with a name of person he was meant to be with made him question everything.
He wasn’t sure if he was actually ready for it, now that it was almost here. A lifetime of responsibility to someone else he didn’t know and he wasn’t even 18 yet. He knew he shouldn’t worry, he likely had years before he’d even meet her, but the pressure began to mount.
He pulled his shirt off, depositing it by the side of his bed and stripping down to his boxers before making his way to brush his teeth in the bathroom. There was some excitement, underneath the fear. He’d been waiting for this moment for years and now it was finally here; he’d finally know the name of his soulmate. He wondered what she was like, whether she was nice, funny, smart, he wondered what she looked like.
After finishing in the bathroom and pulling on a pair of sweats, he sat down at his computer desk, swishing the mouse to bring it back to life. He still had a few paragraphs to write for an essay before he could get into bed. This would also give him the chance to see the name before sleeping.
At 11:50 his wrist began to tingle and his heart raced. It was starting. He looked down at his wrist but the skin there was still unblemished. Rubbing absentmindedly into the ache, he resumed his writing. One paragraph left and he could save and shut down his computer.
As the minutes ticked by, the tattoo stung more, etching its way into his skin and he frowned, biting down on the tip of his tongue. The tattoo was starting to come to life on his skin, he could see the dark ink faintly and he sighed, ruffling his hair and rubbing at his eyes.
Maybe it would be better if he just waited until midnight to look. He was stressed and too distracted to write. He saved his paper, shutting off his computer and shuffling towards the window to allow the moon to reflect down on him.
He’d need the light anyway. At midnight exactly, just as the burning was starting to fade away, he took a deep breath and brought his wrist up into the light.
Y/F/N
He blinked down at the name, as though he were seeing it incorrectly. There was no way; no possible way that you were his soulmate. You hated him. Well not anymore, but he had no doubt you would now once you found out. What about Ella? You’d encouraged him to pursue her and now he had and she was invested too.
He felt sick, slumping down against the seat of his window. You’d never accept him, you’d even flat out told him you weren’t interested in him. How were you supposed to fall in love with him now? It would have been hard enough as it was without Ella in the picture, but now…well now what?
He would have never pursued Ella had he known but it was too late for that now. He thought he’d have so much more time to sort out his life and what he wanted from it before coming face to face with destiny, but now it was staring him in the face and he was unprepared.
He’d never felt the pull! Though thinking about it, he wouldn’t have remembered it since they knew each other from the time they were babies. His head spun, chest clenching in fear. There was no way; no way he could make her love him, convince her that he was worth it despite the fact he’d openly expressed interest in her sister.
Her sister! He wanted to die from shame and embarrassment, but how could he have known? Ella was nice and funny and they had interesting conversations. She didn’t judge him for stupid things that everyone else did, it was only natural that an attraction would build.
What was he supposed to do now? Was he just meant to go to school now and show you his wrist, force you to love him? Force himself to love you. No, none of it made sense. The universe put people together that were the most compatible. What had gone wrong? Why would the universe do this? Why wouldn’t it intervene when it saw him being stupid and mean for all those years? Why wouldn’t it do anything when it saw him with Ella?
He felt like his head was going to explode and he launched himself at his bed, burying his face in his pillow and screaming. How could things have gone so wrong? Stomach churning, he laid back, vision blurring as he stared up the ceiling. How was he supposed to act when he saw you at school? Was he supposed to apologize? Grovel? Just when he’d thought the two of you could maybe be friends…this would ruin everything.
His cheeks were wet with tears and he rubbed at them angrily. He wasn’t going to let this little hiccup mess things up; for now, he’d just pretend like nothing happened and when you got your tattoo, maybe the two of you could figure it out together. It was probably a terrible idea… but it’s the only one he had. You wouldn’t want him anyway. It was better this way.

to a tea. (m) ksj
Tumblr media
pairing: jin x reader
word count: 3,923 (not proofread because I’ve been sitting on this fic for two fucking months and I can’t wait any longer bsbdfsbdkj. jin in this universe has been consuming mY LIFE.)
genre: doorman jin, really good friends au, pwp (kinda cause I just build a story around (y/n) finally nailing jin lmao), so that being said smuttiness does ensue!!!, humor because once again I do think I am a comedian
warnings: 18+, nsfw, smut, language,
“jin is just your doorman. but he’s also your best friend. and you also want to fuck him.”
The giant spinning door leading into your apartment building was both a gift and a curse. A gift because most people found it too complicated and just decided to not come in. Solicitors, guests, bad dates…the list goes on. A curse because, we because of right now. You’re stood staring at the mound of groceries that had just fallen moments ago from your hands. A lone apple still rolling and rolling farther away into the abyss of the front lobby.
Where the hell was Jin?
Lately, when you needed him most, he was no where to be found. In fact, you felt like he was playing opposites because he actually decided to be there during the most inopportune times. Such as a few weeks ago, when you stumbled in with your blind date. Tongues dancing and hands roaming. You felt yourself press against the front desk and was allllllllmost slipping into a blissful euphoria when you heard a throat clearing. There he was, in all his glory. Jin- the doorman. He peered up at your from his seated position and he didn’t have to say a word, but the smug look across his face told you enough. You were never going to hear the end of it. Ever. It took you a full week and a dozen batches of homemade brownies to convince him to stop teasing you.
The bell on the elevator chimed as you were stuffing stray produce back into your bags. Jin got off, arm linked with Miss Roosevelt’s, grinning down at the elderly woman. She had been living in this building since it was developed in 1945 and made fast friends with everyone who had lived there. You had been over to her apartment many times. Mostly, because the mailman was always confusing her apartment for yours. So, it became a weekly ritual to deliver the swapped mail to each other.
Jin carefully removed his arm from hers and pushed the front door wide open. A strong gust of autumn wind blew through the front lobby. Just cold enough to pull tears from your eyes. You watched as he safely tucked her into a cab and sent her off, waving goodbye.
“You know, you do such nice things, so it makes it hard for me to hate you.” Once he had re-entered the lobby you felt the need to share that thought in your mind. Choosing to channel all of your annoyance in re-bagging your groceries.
“Good evening to you too, (y/n).” He jogged towards the other side of his desk and picked up the apple that was somehow still rolling around everywhere as if it had a mind of its own.
“I would just like to remind you that you are my doorman too. Thank you very much!” Reaching out, you tried to snatch the apple from his grasp. But now he was holding it high over his head. Gazing down at you in enjoyment.
This mood of yours- it was always his favorite. Mostly because of the way you would puff your cheeks out when you got annoyed. It was cute. He always wondered to himself how someone so small could be filled with so much fire.
After running the apple across the breast of his suit jacket, he took a satisfying bite, pieces of it peeking through his smile. “How did you know I liked honey crisps?”
“Lucky guess.” You huffed out. The bags were finally hooked over your shoulders, but you didn’t remember them being this heavy on the way out from the store. And definitely not on the subway. And the four blocks you had to walk to get here.
“Give me those bags.” Jin reached out and pulled them away from your grip. You would usually refuse any additional help from him. After all, he was just the doorman. He was only supposed to open doors and greet you from the lobby. That was it. No where in his job description did it say that he would help elderly ladies to their taxi’s or carry groceries up to apartments. That was just Jin being Jin. But if you really stopped and thought about it. You were much past that point anyways. He had started working at the building just around the same time that you moved in a few years ago. A few “good evening’s” blossomed into a friendship that you would be devastated not to have. He was your best friend. And you practically spent every night with him at his desk talking about your days.
“My hero.” You stuck your tongue out at him as you pushed your floor’s button.
“Don’t forget it either.” He smirked and turned to rest against the railing of the golden elevator.
…………………………………………………………..
To put it in the nicest way possible, it was a shit day. You didn’t see any other way to describe it.
When you came through the door, Jin was luckily speaking with another tenant so he didn’t get to see your puffy eyes and reddened face. Who are you kidding anyways. The fact that you are home early would raise some questions. And after a few hours locked in your apartment, as if on cue, those very questions came.
You wanted to ignore the incessant buzzing of your intercom, but it had been going on for a solid five minutes now.
“What!” You pressed the talk button until your finger turned white. It was meant to come out as annoyed, but it had been hours since you had gotten up off of the couch and you had maybe dozed off a few times. So, it came out as more of a meek and measly statement.
“Come downstairs. I have tea.” The intercom popped and you glanced down at your current state. When you had gotten in the door, you immediately stripped yourself of your bleak work clothes and jumped into the matching kitten pajama set your Mom had gotten you last Christmas.
Jin could be demanding. Who did he think he was talking to? Saying “come down.” And “I have tea.” Knowing full and damn well you would march yourself right down there.
When the elevator doors popped open, he let out a long string of giggles and eventually let himself full on belly laugh. “For your information,” you grabbed one of the mugs he was holding “this is Louis Vuitton.” You pointed towards the gold kittens scattered along your pants.
“No it isn’t.” He leaned back in his chair and lightly blew on the lip of his mug. Smirk blazing as hot as his Earl Grey.
“It could be.” You perched yourself on the top of the front desk and glared down at him over mug.
“So…are you going to tell me why you busted through the doors frazzled this afternoon or am I going to have to bribe you with more tea?”
Your thumb ran over the handle of the mug, catching a drop of tea running down the side. “Well, I was fired so…”
“Oh.” Jin sat up straighter in his chair and began to be a bumbling idiot.
“I’m sorry.”
“Uh..I..that’s awful.”
“What can I…I mean like, is there anything I can do?”
You let yourself crack a smile as you gazed down at him. “Wow Jin, this is the first time I’ve ever seen you tongue tied.”
The first time I’ve ever let you see me this way, Jin thought.
“But really. It’s okay. It wasn’t anything I did. It was budgetary. They couldn’t afford me anymore.” Out of the corner of your eye, you watched as Jin’s hand hesitantly moved towards your own. When you finally looked down at your own, he latched his hand on top of yours and let his fingers trace over your knuckles.
Maybe it was the way he touched you, and it wasn’t something you two did often, but you felt something like a surge go through your body. And so that made you want to reach out and touch his face.
So you did.
And he let you.
He got up to stand and wrapped his arms around you, pulling your face to rest against his head. From the few hugs that you and Jin have shared, this one was becoming your favorite. He smelled like a bookstore, but in the best way possible. New pages, fresh ink. It was one you wouldn’t forget. And the small ministrations he would do when he hugged. The tiny movements of his fingers. The gentle humming. You just wanted to curl up and tuck yourself into the pocket of his jacket.
When you both pulled away, he dropped his hands down to rest next to your thighs on the marble desk. You let your eyes drop down to his lips and your mind wondered for a fleeting moment. It’s not like you haven’t ever thought about kissing him, but this time it was something greater. Almost like if you did, it would magically make all of your problems go away. You thought you might be going crazy. I mean there wasn’t a single chance that he was possibly leaning into you.
So when you hopped off his desk, you peered down at your hands and they were shaking. You stuffed them into your hair to keep them busy. “I’m, uhh, I’m gonna go back up. Bye.” You repeatedly hit the up arrow on the elevator and stepped inside. You jammed the door close button as you watched Jin’s silent frame slide away.
…………………………………………
Well. What now.
You can’t go downstairs. He will be there. And this is what? Your third consecutive day inside.
If your calculations were correct, Jin was up for a night off. And you were never wrong about these things. You couldn’t be. That night was tonight. He usually took an evening off and came back to his post and started a shift for the next day at 12 midnight. This would give you plenty of time to go to the grocery and restock at the tea shop.
At this point, you were two bites away from turning into a pop tart. Seeing as how that’s all you had left from your last grocery visit.
Drops of water kept falling from your hair and hitting the top of your foot. You were too broke to have your groceries delivered, but too scared to go out and get them yourself. You had half a mind to climb down the first escape in your robe. Actually… that wasn’t such a bad idea.
You had your window pulled open, leg rising to step out into the cold city air, when you heard knocks at your door.
Through the peephole you could make out Jin’s perfect head.
What the hell was he doing here?
Upon further inspection, he was not dressed in his usual uniform. More casual. Plus a leather jacket. One that made your eyes linger across his shoulders for longer than they should have.
Before you could even get the door fully open, he was speaking. “Hi. I, umm, I got these.” He lifted four grocery bags that were wrapped around his hands. He also had a teapot tucked underneath his left arm. Wordlessly, you moved to the side, signaling him to come in.
“I have a teapot you know.”
Jin scoffed as he set the groceries on your kitchen table. “You have a glorified water warmer. And it only makes one cups worth of water. You are weak if you brew water for tea and only drink one cup.”
You hadn’t moved from your front hallway. You were too busy taking in Jin’s movements. He carefully took out each ingredient from the bag. You would help him, but your feet felt like they were cemented to the ground.
“Where are your cutting boards?” He turned to face you.
“What?”
“Your curling boards?” He had a smirk creeping up on his face. You wanted to reach out and press your fingers in an action to swipe it away.
“No, I know what you said. But what are you doing? Why are you here Jin?”
He breathed in deep. And you wanted so badly to screw your eyes shut, but you couldn’t pull them away from his frame. In all honesty, you wanted to know every single detail about his days since the last time you saw him. But delving into that conversation would lead you to wonder if he had been thinking about you too these past few days. And was his mind spinning every time he thought of you like yours was with him. Was he playing a round of kickboxing with his stomach when he saw something that reminded him of you? Because you sure were. Every single minute of your days has been Jin. And only Jin.
“I wanted to make sure you were okay. Look, you ran off so fast the other night. And then I didn’t see you for a million years after that. I just wanted to make sure that everything was okay.” Until that moment, it hadn’t occurred to you how Jin felt in that moment on that night. Being left alone sitting at the front desk.
You didn’t know how many rounds of jenga you had been playing, but what you did know is that you were about to win. By the look of Jin’s face, he already knew his fate as well. The jenga blocks came crashing down and a few sprinkled into your empty bowls from dinner. After finally showing Jin where your cutting board was, he proceeded to make what you would call probably the best meal you’ve ever had in your life.
You pulled yourself up onto the couch as he called for you from the kitchen. “Rose or Lavender?”
“Rose!”
You felt a lurch in your stomach at the though of a life with Jin. Him calling out what flavor of tea to brew was so…domesticated. And it made your mind wander on how it would feel to press a good morning kiss to his lips. How it would feel to send him off downstairs and even though you two were apart, just knowing that you were in the same vicinity would be enough.
You snapped back into reality when you felt a warm mug being pressed into your hands. Jin had settles down next to you and you watched him bring the mug up to his lips. A bit of tea tickled down the bow of his lips and your hand was itching to wipe it away.
“So what’s next? Job hunting? Seeing the world? Staying locked in this apartment?” Jin laughed and you took note of the way his eyes would glitter when he was laughing.
“Uhh, well, I think what’s next is probably moving out.” Your hands reached down to pick loose threads on the couch. “I can’t afford this place without a steady income. Plus, it’s the city, you know.” You brought your hands up to your face, because you honestly thought you might cry again. After they had given you the news, you had left work with a bleary, tear smeared face. You had thought you had cried enough tears to fill the river across from the apartment, but in this moment you felt them pricking your eyes once more.
Jin wrapped his arms around your shoulder and brought you to sit closer with him on the couch. For a moment, you let yourself rest against his chest. It felt safe. Like you would wake up tomorrow with a job and how things figured out somehow.
“I’m sorry.” You pulled away to stare up at him. “I didn’t think I’d be this upset. It’s just this place has become a part of me. And things have finally become to feel like home for me. Places…” You hesitantly glanced away from him. Unable to look at him, because even your own mind was coming to terms with this reality. “…even people are home to me here. I’m not ready to give that up.”
………
When you woke up, it wasn’t exactly jarring, but you were having difficulty opening your eyes. You grabbed the clock by the couch and it was well after 12 am. Jin must have left after you sat there practically crying into his arms. The last thing you remember was your head hitting his lap as he held you.
The kitchen was spotless. Almost like they hadn’t just been in here making a mess with dinner. There was a note taped to the kitchen counter. The closer you got, you observed that it had two tan pills with arrows pointing towards it. “Take these when you get up. It will make you have less of a headache tomorrow.- Jin.”
Upon further inspection before he had written the dash, you could make out a loopy “L” written in Jin’s cursive.
It was normal to have your stomach doing flips.
This is what you told yourself.
But the more you tried to fight the thought off, the more it came crashing in like a dam that had broken. Jin was the one you went to when you needed comfort, a laugh, or just someone to be with.
He was your best friend. And you loved him. Or rather you were IN love with him. Both really.
So that was it then.
As your feet padded against the hallways towards the elevator, you were making your mind up. You rarely treated yourself and this was one thing that your mind wasn’t going to let go.
When the door opened to the lobby, you could see him sitting at the front desk. He was hunched over, engrossed in some book, so much so that he hasn’t popped his head up to meet yours.
“Hey.” You tossed your keys on his desk and his head shot up to the sound. You watched as his eyes warmed to the sight of you. Ugly pajamas and all. “(Y/n). Hey.” His tone was just a few steps above a whisper and that only made the gymnastics that your stomach was doing magnify.
“You forgot something upstairs.” You said matter of factly. Wrapping around the corner of his desk, you dove towards his body. Your hands found their way around his neck as you planted your lips right on your target. Much to your surprise, it didn’t take long for him to reciprocate. His hands shot up to grip your waist and pulled you to sit in his lap. You felt your back bump against his keyboard and tipped it off of his desk, but you both were too enraptured in each other.
He pulled you around the corner back towards where you came from. When the bell chimed for the elevator, you were too spellbound by his touch to question what he was doing. The whole ride back up to your place, his hands never left your body. Choosing not to dwell on one place for too long.
Then, so choreographically and perfect, you danced your way down the hall to your place. Tongues peeking. Teeth bumping. Years of underlying want finally bubbling to the surface. While Jin had a gentle demeanor, he was a man that knows what he wants. And in this moment, he is unashamedly relishing in the fact that he has you in his hands.
Many nights were spent wondering what you would look like as he peeled off those damn pajamas. So now, as he’s tracing the waistband of your underwear with his middle finger, he can’t help but stop to take a mental picture. You are rested back with your hair splayed out around your head like a halo. Fitting, he thought, an angel on Earth.
Your hands travelled up to lock around his neck once more, pulling his face closer to yours, not wanting another minute to pass by without your lips on his. He dipped his hands lower past your waistband and ran his index finger past your heat. He looked up to gauge your reaction and rather than speaking, you lifted your hips up to meet his palm, and rocked against it. This drew a sigh of pleasure from you that only drove Jin’s desire for you into greater heights.
It didn’t feel as unknown as you thought it would. As he guided one finger inside of you, your hands instinctively reached up to grip his shoulders. He stopped, fearful that he was hurting you, but it was quite the opposite. “Sorry, it just- it feels so good. I haven’t been touched in a while.” Embarrassment washed over you for a moment until Jin leaned into the crook of your neck, peppering kisses along your jaw. “You’re all mine now.”
He drew his face closer to meet his hand. Peeking his tongue out to run across your most sensitive area. “Jin.” You cooed, coming undone beneath him. Your fingers knotted into his hair as he brought you closer to your high, but not before you tugged his face up to look at yours. “Jin, I need you. I need you to be inside of me.” He snapped back and that was all it took for you to say. He fumbled with his belt and tried not to look like he was going to combust. The fact that you were laying here, asking for him to be in you. He just might burst here and now.
He spread you legs and positioned himself in-between your thighs. Slipping his head back and forth against you, spreading your arousal that was all for him. He liked rubbing against you and ever other stroke you would lift your hips up to meet his hands and he would slightly thrust in with each swipe.
The last time you lifted up, Jin grabbed your hips and thrusted down harshly, making both of her abdomens meet. You laid back against the bed and let him choose the pace as you were just happy that Jin, your Jin, was fucking you.
“You feel so fucking good. Fuck. This is better than I even imagined it would be. So much fucking better.” He panted in-between his words and you were too choked up from his thrusts to reply.
“Fuck. Keep. Fuck… Jin I’m close.” He reached down and rubbed against you with two fingers as both of you came to your highs.
He fell back against your bed and you both sat staring at the ceiling. Trying to catch your breath.
“That was.”
“Yeah.”
Jin turned and wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you so that you were nestled against his arm. “I hope that you won’t think I’m an asshole, but I really should get back to the front desk.” You giggled and shoved him away, looking for his pants that he had thrown somewhere on the bed.
“No, it was my fault anyways. I came down there and pulled you away.” You held his belt up to him as he buttoned his shirt.
“Please be ready at 10, that’s when I get off and we are going to have a breakfast date in bed.” He stopped short next to the bed. “I mean, if that’s okay with you.”
You grinned up at him and tugged him towards the bed. “I’ll be anxiously awaiting.” He captured your lips and you felt his hand run through your hair and tug on it lightly.
You watched his back as he left and you couldn’t help but feel calm in this moment. Thanking the universe for tea. And for Jin.

UA wasn't known for its cold wintery days, unlike other times of the year it was mostly sunny even if just a tad bit on the chilly side. The staff did its best to make sure the campus stayed pretty warm but ever since the villain attacks started up their central heating system had been on the fritz, some days it was blazing hot in the winter, and other days it was freezing cold. So they made sure all students knew to keep a jacket in their lockers just in case. However, some of the students continued to forget about their heating system issues, completely disregarding things as they sat in classes shivering, Ochako Uraraka being one of them.
Her foot tapped against the bar of the chair in front of her,  her skin covered in goosebumps as she tried desperately to pay attention to what Aizawa sensei was teaching them, but it proved to be harder than she imagined. Normally the cold wouldn't affect her as much but it had snowed the night before she knew Bakugou was most likely irritated with her constant tapping and she was thankful he hadn't turned around and yelled at her yet. Of course it was safe to say that he was passed out cold against his notebook so she was at least safe for a little while.
Halfway through their lesson Bakugou lifted his head, causing Uraraka to freeze completely as he turned around to look at her. "Pink cheeks stop shakin the damn chair I'm tryin to sleep here." She blinked as he looked her over for a moment before grunting with a roll of his eyes. He reached down into his back and pulled out a large black and orange hoodie,  tossing it over onto her desk. "Next time bring a jacket kay?" He grumbled as he turned back around to return to his nap, a yawn leaving his lips.
Uraraka stared at the jacket that laid over her work, eyes wide as she glanced around the classroom, Denki and Kirishima were both staring at her with wide eyes, making a gesture with their hands as if to tell her to just put it on and don't argue.  "T-thanks.." She whispered softly as she slipped her arms into the much too large hoodie that almost swallowed her whole, immediately being overwhelmed by the scent of Bakugou. Caramel and vanilla… it consumed her as she zipped the hoodie up and closed her eyes for a moment, trying to keep herself from floating off her seat from pure embarrassment.
He had been fairly nice to her and it flustered her beyond her own beliefs,  sure she got flustered around Deku but that's just because it's Deku… Bakugou being nice to her was unheard of so it truly affected her in ways she really didn't want it to and for the rest of their lecture her mind was a misty place.
Once class was over she tapped Bakugou's shoulder, clearing her throat softly as he turned to face her, shaking his head. "Dont." He said quickly as he got up and nodded to Kirishima, yelling something about sparring in the training grounds, she watched as the two of them headed out of the classroom. "Woah what was that about?"  She looked over at Mina and shrugged, gathering her things as she stood, the hoodie coming to rest just above her knees. "I'm not sure… Bakugou being nice is strange, but I guess he didn't realize he woke up earlier and let me borrow this." Her hands smoothed over the front of the soft material.
"I don't know Ura… He's not one to just forget things he does half asleep." Mina laughed as she shook her head, draping her arm around Uraraka's shoulders. "But damn it does smell nice though doesn't it? I wonder what cologne he uses that smells this good." This pulled a chuckle from the rosy cheeked female, shaking her head softly. She knew it wasn't Cologne, she had been close enough to Bakugou during training to know that this was all him, and it really didn't bother her.  "I don't know, but I'll have to return it soon. Maybe I'll sneak into his room and leave it. But hey, you wanna go shopping?? I heard there are some sales going on at the mall!" Mina just grinned at the girl and grabbed her hand, pulling her out of the classroom, passing Bakugou and Kirishima who were standing just outside the classroom.
"So when are you gonna tell her?" The red headed male asked as he watched the two girls run down the hall. He turned to look at Bakugou, snorting as he waved his hand in front of the usually grumpy male. "Yo, earth to Katsuki, come on man stop staring you're gonna burn your notes again."  This snapped Bakugou back out of his trance, dropping the smouldering notebook in the process. "Shit! Damn it i gotta stop doing that!" He groaned, stomping on the notebook to smother the fire that had started around the edges of the cover. "I don't know shitty hair, maybe I'll never tell her. I don't want to distract her from hero training.."
"Or do you not want to get rejected? Come on dude it's obvious she likes you! And you have to admit… She does look fine as hell wearing your hoodie." Kirishima nudged Bakugou's shoulder, his words resulted in a solid punch to the jaw. "Shut the hell up, don't talk like that about her." He knew Kirishima was right but what the hell was he thinking? Talking about her like that especially in front of everyone. "Lets just go spar. I need to get my head out of the clouds, i couldnt sleep last night because stupid Deku and Denki were watching movies all night in Deku's room. God, I wish they would just have a regular sleep schedule like everyone else." He rolled his eyes, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he made his way towards the exit.
-~-
One month had passed since He had lent his jacket out to Uraraka, and they hadn't seen much of each other since she was deep into her work study at this point so he hadn't had the chance to ask her about getting his hoodie back. However, the students who had work studies had been given a few days off so he figured now was a better time than any. As he walked into the door he looked around, spotting a tuft of red hair disappearing into the kitchen. "Hey, shitty hair, you seen pink cheeks?" He called out, Kirishima poked his head around the corner and nodded, pointing over to the stairs. "Her room." Bakugou nodded and headed up the stairs, taking two at a time as usual.
Heading down the hall he noticed her door was cracked slightly, he took a deep breath as he stood there in front of it for a moment before lifting his hand to knock, the door swinging open slightly. "Hey pink cheeks, do you still have my jacket-?" His words faltered as he saw her curled up in the little loveseat seat she had placed in the corner of her room, dressed in a pair of sleep shorts and his hoodie. Fuck, she was so cute. How could someone who was so smart and loud at the same time be so fucking beautiful even after going through hell. He bit his lip as he slipped inside, closing the door behind him as a small smile graced his lips. He quietly made his way over to her and lifted her into his arms, a sigh leaving him as he moved her over to her bed. "You shouldn't sleep like that, you'll get back problems…" he whispered, more to himself than to her since he knew she wouldn't hear him anyway.
As he went to cover her up so he could leave her to sleep a hand wrapped around his wrist, sleepy eyes peering up at him while he leaned over her. "Katsuki?.." Fuck, he had woken her up. His jaw went slack as he tried to find something to say, which he couldn't at the moment, because the look in her eyes was something he wasn't used to seeing directed towards him. "I'm sorry, I meant to return it… i just got so busy." She spoke softly, sitting up in bed as she held onto his wrist, her free hand rubbing at her eyes and once she looked up at him again she froze. Their noses just barely touching as they looked back at one another.
For a few moments the two of them just sat there, staring into each other's eyes before Bakugou made the first move. He closed the space between their lips, kissing her gently as he reached out to cup her cheek, thumb stroking over her rosy cheeks. Her eyes widening as she was slowly pushed back onto her bed, Bakugou moving to hover over her as their lips parted. "K-Katsuki… What are you doing?" Her words were breathless, and he knew she hadn't expected to be kissed, he just couldn't help it when she had that look in her eyes. His thumb traced over her bottom lip as he sighed heavily. "Sorry…"
As he moved to get off the bed she reached out and pulled him back down, this time wrapping her legs around his waist as she kissed him, her fingers tangling into his messy blonde locks. She had been waiting for so long to take this type of chance with him and she had never even dreamed that he would be the one to make the first move. He was always so aggravated with everyone, and after everything that had happened she was afraid he had closed himself off completely. The kiss had proved her wrong and she was going to take that leap of faith and she wasn't going to look back.
Bakugou tilted his head into the kiss, shifting around slightly so he could move into a position where he wouldn't crush her with his weight,  his heart was pounding and the amount of adrenaline running through him was starting to cause him to sweat. A small groan left his throat when she bit down on his bottom lip, the slight pain pulling him back to the real world for a minute. He pulled back and stared down at her, licking his lips. "Okay, one.. the door isn't locked. And two.. how long?" He asked, knowing that she knew exactly what he meant by how long. He watched the rosiness of her cheeks spread to her ears. As she looked away shyly. "Since the training camp."
She pushed at his shoulders, pushing him towards the headboard so she could get up and move to lock her door. When she turned back to face him she smiled softly, flicking the lights off so they were only bathed in the light of the evening sun. "Doors locked now…" A smirk formed on the blonde's lips as he watched her saunter back over, his hands reaching out to rest on her hips while she crawled onto his lap, their lips coming together in another kiss that was filled with so much desire that it sent shivers down his spine. As her fingers ran down his chest he slowly slipped his hands down the back of her shorts, grabbing two handfuls of those luscious globes that always had him so distracted when she fought.
A moan left Uraraka's lips, her head tipping back as she tugged at his hair gently. The lips that were occupying her own now traced down along the expanse of her throat, the hands on her hips guided her to grind down against him. Her eyes widened as she left his erection pressing up against her, nails digging into his scalp when he bit down on her shoulder after leaving a dark hickey to blossom on her pale skin. She quickly unbuttoned his shirt so she could push it off his shoulders and toss it on the floor. Her hips lifted slightly so she could scoot back, leaning down to leave a trail of kisses down the center of his chest. His eyes never left hers as she slowly pulled his sweats down, nearly drooling as she took his cock into her mouth.
There was a knock on the door as his cock hit the back of her throat, his eyes widened as his hand gripped her hair tight, a finger lifted to his lips to keep her quiet. "I don't care who it is but go away!" He yelled, picking up the nearest thing, being a book so he could chuck it at the door. There was a squeak from the other side before he heard footsteps retreat. He looked back down at Uraraka who had his cock deep into the back of her throat, a look in her eyes that told him he needed to prepare himself. Which he wasn't able to do quick enough as she swallowed around his length, "holy fuck a-ahh." His head thunked back against the headboard as she pulled off of him slowly.
"Mmh.. Katsuki~" Uraraka licked a slow stripe against the underside of his length, watching his eyes nearly roll back just from the feeling. "Please.. I want you to be my first." She whispered, placing a gentle kiss to the head of his length. He nodded and shifted, watching her as she wiggled out of her shorts, tossing them somewhere in the room. She turned so she was on her hands and knees, then as Bakugou positioned himself behind her her chest dropped down against the sheets, her back arching to show him the damp spot that had formed on her panties.
Oh gods he was going to love tearing that ass up, he had dreamed about this moment for so many nights and now the one thing he had lusted after for so long was right in front of him. "Gods your ass is amazing Ochako.." He whispered as he spread her cheeks, thumb dipping under the hem of her panties to pull them aside. If he didn't have as much self control as he normally did he would be drooling, she was barren, no hair in sight and just the most delicious shade of pink. He moved forwards on his knees, one hand moving to press against the curve of her spine as he pressed into her and as that deliciously tight heat wrapped around his cock he knew that was it. This girl was going to be his, from this moment on she belonged to him and he belonged to her, if anyone tried to hurt her he would kill them.
"You're mine, you got that Pink cheeks?" He grunted out as he snapped his hips forward, penetrating deep within her core, the head bottoming out against her cervix. He only gained a nod in return, but as he rolled his hips in a teasingly slow manner she got the hint. "Y-Yes Katsuki~" She mewled as the feeling of him deep inside, hips pressing back against his as a hard slap resonated around them, her ass stinging as she let out a lewd moan. "That's a good girl~" he had purred, he fucking purred. His words dripped sex and his hands simmered against her skin as they fell into a passionate push and pull of want, need and hunger.
The air between them would never be the same after tonight and he knew he was never getting his hoodie back, not that he even wanted it back in the first place. It looked too good on her, hell maybe he would give her some more of his clothes for her to wear when it was just the two of them. Though the inevitable chaos in the morning barely graced his mind as his eyes held steady on the sweet jiggle of her ass as he pounded her into the mattress, bed knocking against the wall without a care as they lost themselves in each other's bliss.
