Dating Clint Barton Would Include….

- probably starting off as friends

- having to accept his role as an Avenger (if you’re not one as well)

- he will be away from you at times when he’s on a mission

- but he makes up for lost time when he’s away

- one time he left in the middle of dinner on an emergency

- and you were majorly disappointed but understood he was going out to save lives

- and woke up the next day to breakfast being made, flowers on the table, and a new bracelet on your wrist

- he’s very sarcastic and funny

- you guys joke around all the time, teasing each other

- he would literally give you anything you wanted

- wanted a new kitchen? Done.

- want a pet horse? Done.

- want to get married? Yes.

- want a baby? Hell yes.

- he’s so husband material and a very good at being one

- he loves you more then anything else in the world and shows it to you all the time

- he is secretive of you though, unless it’s Natasha or another close friend of his

- he’s scared someone would take you or something bad would happen to you because of him

- it actually frightens the shit out of him when you take awhile to respond to him when he’s away

- which of course you try your best to respond to him

- since texting him is a huge part of your relationship when he’s away

- it will be random things/pictures of inside jokes or things you guys find funny

- knowing/learning sign language since he is mostly deaf

- also watching over him a lot because of it

- but Clint being Clint will no doubt make a ton of jokes about not hearing you

- eventually he will want to get married and settle down with you

- “Clint what are you doing here?”

- “Disappointing my wife.”

- but sometimes duty calls

- he of course will start taking less and less missions when you guys are starting to build a family and life together

- him teaching you how to shoot a bow

- getting you one for yourself just to make him feel better when he’s away

- installing a bunch of security measures in the house

- having picnics together in a quiet field

- him taking you out to go do something fun like see a movie or out to eat

- always having a hand or arm on you

- very into PDA

- and handsy when it comes to your butt

- using him as a pillow wherever you guys end up sitting down at

- he in return will use you as a foot rest

- reassuring him that he’s just as important as anyone else in the Avenger’s

- he’s a very loyal person and will always be loyal to you

- him telling you his war stories while he was gone

- checking him for injuries when he comes home

- lots of cuddles when he gets home

- and sex

Kate is 100% the best girlfriend.

She's loyal beyond measure for one, and she would do absolutely anything for you. And i mean anything at all.

When Kate's old apartment burnt down, she had to, of course, find a new one, and once she did, I am sure she framed every piece of your art that you would let her.

She stuck your pictures and paintings on the fridge even, and no matter how many times you complained or took them down, she would always find a way to hide your creations around the house.

She wanted to see them because she loved them, and because they reminded her of you.

And she loves you.

Taking lucky on walks together is definitely a big part of your relationship.

It's one of the best things the two of you do together, and you always treat yourselves to hot chocolates or coffee on those early winter morning walks.

Kate tried to learn guitar so she could play with you, but she was hopeless.

She could play a few chords, but she certainly wasn't as good as you, and she loved hearing you play.

She enjoyed listening to you pluck the strings and strum away, and somehow with each song you played she fell more in love.

And she loves hyperfixating on things with you.

You've got a new obsession? Kate's right in there learning about it along side you. Going to all the movies or reading every book.

Watching every episode of a show you love or playing a game you adore.

She enjoys being a part of your life, and she loves seeing you happy. And she'll do anything to see you smile.

On the one-sided harringrove post- I feel it becomes infinitely funnier with bi steve. He likes men, just not Billy. Never Billy.

Oh yeah. When Billy fiiiirst comes to school with his music blaring Steve is head over heels for Nancy, so he might register that the guy with the Camaro and loud music has a good ass, but then billy opens his mouth and Steve is like "oh, no ass can make up for that personality." And continues with his life.

Just. Okay I like to project just a liiiiittle on Steve with him just. Not realizing his attraction to men isn't a straight thing. Like. Of course all straight people feel that way, you just kinda ignore it or don't do anything about it. So Steve is half way between being comfortable in his sexuality and being closeted to himself because buddy used Hawkeye Pierce as the blueprint of straightness.

So Billy is out here, wallowing in self hatred and internalized homophobia, hating Steve and wanting Steve and hating that he wants Steve and wishing Steve would pay attention to him enough for a hate fuck he can cry about later, and it's all very angsty. All the while Steve is just actually completely fine with thinking a dude is hot he's just got standards that include "not racist" "doesn't try to beat up kids" "hasn't made me blackout from head trauma"

Wait. Oh no. I feel an au coming on. Shit. Au where post S2 Robin hears piano coming from the band room after hours and is her curious self going "I must see who is this mysterious genius" and it's Steve. They get to talking and hanging out and all of a sudden Robin thinks they are actually good friends. Best friends. Somehow.

Cue them going to a band party together. Someone spikes their drinks with waayyyy more than they were expecting so they are blasted. Robin has to go pee but does not want to go alone so she drags Steve into the bathroom with her and makes him face away. He's like haha Woah you really had to pee. And she goes shut upppp and washes her hands but sits across from him. Steve smiles at her and gives her his speech about how amazing she is and how glad he is to be her friend (it is like March '85 so he is still not ready to get back out into dating yet). Robin tells him about Tammy. They sing. Someone slams the door open and kicks them out of the bathroom because there's a fuckin line.

They lay on the grass outside and look at the sky. Steve like. Caaaaasually mentions once having thought he was gonna marry Tommy when he was six and then realizing you just didn't do anything about those feelings and Robin's gotta shoot up going WHAT!! WHAAAT? Because it sounded like Steve coming out to her? Right after?? She came out to him??

And Steve is like yeah. Like you don't really have to? Easier to ignore it and flirt with girls who I like or think are hot. And poor Robin's brain is melting she's like please Steve I'm really drunk are you telling me you sometimes want to kiss boys? And he's like yes, obviously, everyone does. Just like everyone also wants to sometimes kiss girls. Except lesbians I guess who only want to kiss girls? And gay guys only want to kiss guy? Yeah that makes sense and straight people don't care but go for the opposite ya know?

Robin is like NO!! And calms down some and says "okay I'm telling you this because you are my friend and you just told me almost the same thing. Steve. I like girls and only like girls. That not a straight thing"

"yeah. You've said."

"but I am ninety nine percent positive that just because you like girls doesn't mean you're straight because you also like boys."

"what"

"yeah dude, I do not think this is a heterosexual experience you're describing. I'm not an expert but. Yeah.

ANYWAYS THE ACTUAL POINT OF THIS is not in fact the stobin. It's actually that

Sometime probably in may, when Steve is ready to be on the dating scene again, he gets with Eddie. Robin is happy for him but also so mad because he went from "probably shouldn't act gay even tho everyone feels a little gay sometimes" to "hey Robin what would you say if I said I got a boyfriend?" In less than two months. How does he have straight AND gay game. That's not fair.

Steddie getting together is a non event. Eddie is still like ewww sports and yet somehow he made out with Steve Harrington and the next day Steve asked if he wanted to get milkshakes and throw rocks into the quarry to see the splashes. Eddie must restrain himself from thinking it's a date because he knows it's not but it'd also be the perfect date (Eddie is a simple man)

At the end of the night steve kissed his cheek and says "I had a really great time..."

Eddie just blurted "hey do you want to be my boyfriend?"

To which Steve perks up like "yes! I'd like that!"

And Eddie didn't actually think he'd get that far so he was like "neat!! See you tomorrow!" before slamming the door in Steve's face.

So they're dating and Eddie disparages sports but Steve is like haha aw you don't like watching me play? Which is sooo mean to Eddie because obviously?? He likes?? Watching his boyfriend??? Run around in tiny shorts and sometimes shirtless?? He has to reevaluate some things he supposes.

All while this is happening Billy is still on his Greatest Homoerotic Rivals shtick with Steve. Eddie notices and is like to dude...what is with Billy? And Steve just sighs. Says Billy is weird and obsessed with him and glares all the time. It's a whole thing. Billy is pissed because what is Steve, his epic rival, doing hanging around some random band geek, his sister's bitchass friends, and maybe the local dealer.

Alright. Grad happens. Yay Steve! Poor Eddie. They go to some party , hang out with people, sell some drugs, etc. Billy is unfortunately also at this party, and is like. Lazer eyes boring into Steve's back. Very annoying. At some point, he sees Steve slip away and is like this is my chance so he follows him.

Howmever he comes across Steve, his epic and totally heterosexual rival, making out with Eddie the freak Munson.

And listen this is a scary thing to be caught inna town like Hawkins, but that's not the point of this post.

So Billy goes "what the hell?"

They turn around. Billy is still spluttering.

"what are you-why would you-- with him?!" He says.

Steve raises his eyebrows, alllll cocky confidence. He smirks a bit. Drawls. "Well, yeah. I like cock, billy. Just not yours."

Because the point of this post is that Steve is a bitch.

It’s surprisingly difficult for your parents to take you seriously.

You’d think that having not one but two agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as your mom and dad would lead to an interesting childhood. By all accounts, it did, what with your dad having to head out to battle Thanos or pick a side when the Avengers split up. That being said, you were really hoping to become a hero in your own right, but apparently that’s where Hawkeye and Agent 19 draw the line.

They’re just trying to keep you safe by keeping you out of their line of work. Supposedly. That’s how the excuse goes, at least, and goodness knows you’ve heard it often enough for the words to become familiar. People get hurt when you tangle in the Avengers business. Since you’re still a kid, they don’t want you to have any part of it. Sure, your parents made sure you’ve been taking self defense courses since you were old enough for the tutelage to have any impact, and your father trained you in the bow and arrow before that, but it’s not the same.

Secretly, you’ve always wanted more. Ever since you figured out that your dad was an Avenger, you couldn’t wait until you could join those ranks of heroes. Earth always needs a protector, and this need is only strengthened ever since your world broadened to include the rest of the galaxy. There’s a place for you as a hero, you’re certain of that. The only problem rests with convincing your parents that it’s time for you to help take up the mantle of saving the world.

They’re not too pleased with the idea, to say the least. Your mom insists that saving the world is going to have to happen after you graduate college, and your dad is leaning more towards pushing that date to never ever. No matter what you say about it being your responsibility to help protect the universe when it needs a helping hand, they’re not likely to guide you along that road.

You were assuming that you’d never get a chance to prove your worth. Your dad seemed more than ready to hang up his hat as a former Avenger, especially since you were all dusted and came back to find him without one of his oldest friends. You miss Natasha just as much as he does, but losing the Black Widow solidified the idea in your dad’s mind that he couldn’t afford to lose anyone else he cared about. As one of his precious children, you were certainly one of the ones to be protected.

After Thanos was defeated, you had assumed that was it, so much for your hero aspirations until you were old enough for your parents to get off of your back. However, only a short time had passed before Hawkeye was back in the news, and, most excitingly of all, back in the business. He claimed it was only going to be a one-off affair, something small that he would handle and return with plenty of time for Christmas.

As the days passed, though, and your dad stayed away to handle the ever-growing issues, you started to wonder if maybe your hopes might have a chance at coming back from the dead. Once your dad came back with his new sidekick in tow, you knew you were good as gold. One way or another, you were going to become a hero. Even if you had to draft Kate Bishop to make that happen.

You had a game plan. All the best heroes do. When she first walked through your door, Kate looked terrified, so nervous about accidentally being an unwanted guest that she failed to pick up on the scheming spark in your eyes upon seeing her. Immediately, you befriended the girl. That part was easy, and would have happened even if you weren’t planning on asking her for tips on how to crack into the hero business. Kate’s a nice girl, and a great friend. Honestly, even if you won’t be able to hack it in the world of the Avengers, you’d still be glad to have met her at all.

By the end of that weekend, you and Kate find yourselves staying up late after everyone else went to bed, aimlessly talking about whatever comes across your mind. She’s really funny, and many times you find yourself wiping tears from your eyes from laughing too hard.

On one of these occasions, Kate glances across the sofa at you. You watch as her broad grin turns into a softer smile. “Thanks for having me over, Y/N. I mean it. I’m really glad Clint let me come over.”

“Of course,” you assure her. “We’re friends now, aren’t we?”

She nods. “Absolutely. If there’s ever anything you need, don’t hesitate to ask. Please.”

This is exactly what you were hoping to hear. “Well,” you say slowly. “You said anything, right?”

Kate frowns. “Hopefully still something legal, but we can get around that. What did you have in mind?”

You can’t hide your devious grin any longer. “I want you to train me to be a hero.”

Kate blinks at you. “What?”

You wave your hand vaguely at her. “I’ve been begging my dad to train me for years and he never gave in, but somehow you broke through his shell and got him back into the ring. I want to know how you did it. I know martial arts, so I can fight, but I don’t know how to start helping people who need it. You do. Teach me your secrets.”

Kate shakes her head disbelievingly. “Oh, I don’t know about that. I have a feeling I’d make a terrible teacher.”

“I have a feeling that says otherwise,” you insist. “Come on, Kate. At the least, it won’t be boring.”

Kate glances self-consciously at the stairs, but upon certifying that no one else is listening into the conversation, she nods at last. “Alright. Just don’t tell your dad, I finally got Clint to stop getting annoyed with me. I don’t need him to freak out because I took you on a few patrols.”

You pump your first in celebration. “Oh, I’m not saying a word. Trust me on that. This is going to be so good!”

Kate can’t help but laugh. “I think that’s right.”

Hero lessons start the next morning, bright and early. Kate claims that heroes have to be ready to defend the world at all hours of the day, but you catch her yawning into her hand when she thinks you’re not looking anyway. The two of you go on runs, practice sparring, and trade shots at the archery targets in your backyard. Although she initially tries to hide it, you know Kate is impressed with your marksmanship. That’s just the perks of growing up with an Avenger, you suppose, but it is quite satisfying to watch each of your arrows hit the bullseye whenever you fire.

Not all of your training is physical, though. Kate also teaches you important things like strategy– how to tell when you’re walking into a trap, how to get information without exposing yourself as being on a case, how to trust a stranger without letting down your guard. You half feel as if you ought to be taking notes, but Kate’s so passionate about what she says that it’s easy to follow along and remember afterwards.

Kate’s visit to the Barton family farm ends eventually, as all well-intentioned visits must. You still insist that she’s got several more months to go before she even begins to get on your nerves, but the older girl just laughs and says that it’s for the best that she heads back to the city, anyway. Something about needing to clean up loose ends. Kate assures you that you’re free to visit at any time, but you know you’ll still think fondly on these days in not-so-bleak December, back when the two of you were running circles around everyone else and planning out what it means to be a hero.

The two of you exchange phone numbers before you go, and it’s a rare night indeed that you haven’t heard from her, either a text message here and there or a lengthy call recounting all that you’ve experienced since you last parted. You’ve already made your dad promise to take you with him the next time he goes to Manhattan so you can visit Kate, and the two of you have a long list of things you need to do while you’re there. Fence, for one thing. Practice archery, for another. Maybe even save some lives while you’re at it.

Even if you and Kate may not be having face to face clandestine meetings anymore, though, that doesn’t mean you’re likely to give up on your dreams of becoming an Avenger someday. You practice according to her tips, consistently checking in to make sure you’re improving as you should. One day, you’ll get your chance. You can feel it.

Maybe six months after you first meet Kate Bishop, your patience comes to fruition. On a day trip with your school to a nearby city, you’re traveling from museum to museum with your class when you spot someone getting mugged down a nearby alleyway. Your first instinct, of course, is to help, so you murmur a quick excuse to your classmates before ducking down the alley.

The thieves aren’t expecting someone like you to jump in, and they certainly aren’t expecting you to kick their asses. The victim thanks you profusely, which makes you feel great. Maybe being a hero is well within your reach after all.

What you didn’t like so much, however, was having to sit around the police station later as a key eyewitness to the crime. You forgot one key step, which was to clear out pretty soon after saving the day. Your dad has to come pick you up, and although you’re not in trouble, you still feel guilty for making him go out of his way to get you.

Clint sits down across from you in the police station waiting room. He eyes your bruised knuckles with a raised eyebrow, then sighs. “Kate Bishop got to you, then?”

Your jaw drops in surprise. “What? I mean, I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Your dad snorts. “This whole scene has her name written all over it. Kate’s got a good heart, but her planning needs some work. I’m assuming you made her help you out after I told you that Avenging couldn’t be in your future?”

You wince. “Promise you won’t get mad?”

You’re expecting a lot of reactions from your dad upon hearing that you’ve been sneaking around behind his back to pursue the one career ambition he’s strictly declared off-limits. Breaking out into quiet laughter, however, isn’t that. “Mad? Why on earth would I be mad? You saved someone out there, someone who needed it. You kept yourself safe and kicked some bad guy ass while you were at it. I’m not mad, Y/N. I’m proud of you.”

A slow, careful smile spreads onto your face. “Really?”

“Really,” he affirms. “Just– next time tell Kate that the two of you don’t have to hide it from me, alright? I think both of you could use extra lessons in how to pick your battles.”

You can’t help but laugh at that. “Alright, alright. Does this mean she’s visiting again?”

“Maybe that you’re visiting her,” he suggests. “I’ve got a meeting coming up in the city and I was thinking about taking you with me. Only if you want to, of course.”

You spring up from your chair, wrapping your arms around him. “Of course I want to! Let’s go, I have to call Kate about this immediately.”

Clint shakes his head fondly as the two of you head to the door. “I’m going to regret this, aren’t I? Neither of you can get involved in multiversal nonsense, promise me that.”

“Absolutely,” you assure him, but you cross your fingers when he’s not looking. When it comes to you and Kate, the sky’s the limit.

Yelena Belova is canonically aroace.

Lately people dismissing that has been getting on my nerves VERY much, so I’m making this post lol.

First the terminology:

Aromantic — an individual who doesn’t experience romantic attraction.

Asexual — an individual that doesn’t experience sexual attraction.

AroSpec — spectrum that includes different aromantic identities, from aros who don’t feel romantic attraction to those who do under certain circumstances or rarely.

AceSpec — spectrum that includes different asexual identities, from aces who don’t feel sexual attraction to those who do under certain circumstances or rarely.

So first thing i will put here is this;

This in my humble opinion should be enough of a proof, but apparently it is not.

First this part of an interview, the person speaking is a creator/co-creator of Yelena. She says she is most likely to identify as asexual than to follow Nat’s romantic path. Hinting at both aro & ace.

So in the comics Yelena shows no interest dating, as far as i am aware she has no romantic interest in the comics. She is repulsed by sex, she calls herself „nothing” referring to her sexual identity.

As much as many like to say she is a lesbian, she is not, how fucking stupid you sound, honestly. She says it herself, if I said I’m not a lesbian, would you question it? No? Then don’t question her, she says she is not a lesbian, she has no wlw storyline. Drop the fucking lesbian hc.

Some possible foreshadowing in the MCU

1. When she is talking with a widow and a former Ana (show: Hawkeye), there is a line said by the widow accompanying her: „…you and Natasha can be reunited again and live your sex in the city fantasy”.

^ Yelena leaves the room, as soon as the word „sex” is mentioned her face drops, then we have this scene where she’s looking at herself in the mirror.

2. When talking about kids and family (movie: Black Widow) she mentions she wants a dog.

3. When describing „fake story” of her life she made up because her birth certificate was burnt she says Natasha has a husband and talks about her parents, but mentions nothing about her husband or possible spouses or children. (movie: Black Widow)

4. Yelena tends to wear a lot of aro/ace flag colors.

green coat & purple lipstick (green = aro | purple = ace)

yellow & blue colors = aroace flag

Overall Yelena wears a lot of green and white and black together, aromantic flag colors.

^^ can you call that „over the top?” yeah sure… let me remind yall something else:

when enid wore this sweather yall went WILD.

but when Yelena is wearing aroace colors all the time it’s called „reaching”…?

I will continue this with even more, because while you can agree with me and say she is aroace, still there will be people who claim she is aroace, agree, but then this fucking argument comes into place:

„AROS CAN DATE”

„ACES CAN FUCK”

„QPRS EXIST”

Do you see what’s wrong with those sentences? Nothing.

There’s a „but” thoooo…

There is nothing wrong with those, but using those arguments to totally ignore her sexuality ship her and treat her like suddenly she is allo is not it.

Yelena has shown no interest in dating or sex, we can assume she is sex-repulsed as she has shows repulsion to sex and she is to me at least implied to be romance-repulsed.

And we’ve found the problem.

Sex Repulsed Aces are as you can imagine repulsed by sex. Romance Repulsed Aros are repulsed by romance… So how is someone repulsed by said things engaging in said interaction and is not repulsed by them???

I think it’s a great idea to write her into said situations to show she is repulsed and to show it’s okay, because her life, my life, the lives of other uninterested in such thing aro/ace, our lives don’t end here.

Using how some people navigate through their sexuality to justify this is wrong.

You wouldn’t write a lesbian with a man, because bi lesbians exist and she may be a bi lesbian, right?

^ just an fyi, that’s an example, the term bi-lesbian is extremely harmful to both bisexuals and lesbians. check out this for more.

The QPR dilemma is that you don’t understand what a QPR is… it’s not more than friends…it’s not in the middle, it’s out of the regular binary of relationships. Relationships I actually think are QPRs:

Friends with benefits — purely platonic, but you fuck.

Situationship — just friends that do romantic stuff together, unless you call it a romantic relationship, with the other person agreeing on that, it is not one.

QPRs are amazing and beautiful, but it’s not always about fucking and kissing and „acting like a couple” but being a QPR. It can be being friends and living together, not temporary. It can be being friends and co-parenting. It can be many things.

But as I said Yelena is repulsed, why would someone repulsed by sex/romance engage in said thing happily with no doubts, fears, negative feelings just because it’s a qpr, so it’s suddenly fine…?

This is for now all I have to say about this.

As an AroAce, who desires no romantic relationship or a sexual one please please please let us have this representation, for once in our fucking lives.

Put a ship in my ask and I will tell you a bit about how each of the following scenarios would go down for them:

Fake dating I think the best way for this to go down is that the two of them run into each other while on unrelated undercover missions at the same event. They are very Not Subtle about noticing and recognizing each other, and people can tell, and they stumble their way into claiming they're a couple when trying to explain. They have to run with it, which involves getting in each others' way a lot because their respective missions aren't actually compatible.

Bodyswap A primary conflict here would be "Ventress no longer has access to the Force, and thus feels as though she's lost an entire sense, and is kind of freaking out about it" and "Rex now has the Force, and is wearing a body that is addicted to the dark side, and he has precisely zero experience in controlling it." They're stuck trying to find/relocate the other person in order to switch back, and the whole situation is Not Helped by the Force situation.

Sexpollen/fuck or die/aliens made them do it Eeeeeeeeh classic plot format, captured by Zygerrian Slavers who want them To Breed to see if they can get some Strong And Durable babies out of these new holdings.

Dark!fic [buries face in hands] Ventress (threatens to) torture Rex for information. He's unwillingly and unreasonably into it. Things spiral, and it gets worse before it gets better.

Secret kinks I think Ventress wants Rex to tie her up. I have malleable headcanons as far as kink goes for most characters, including Ventress, but with Rex, I think she's a bondage bottom.

Their first kiss Definitely a rough and bloody and "covered in ash and dirt" mid-battle sort of thing.

Meeting the parents [stares at keyboard] I think the closest thing either of them has left to a parent is Dooku? Jango and Ky are dead, and Ventress doesn't know really know her bio mom or Talzin, so uh. I guess. I guess Rex has to beg Obi-Wan for lessons on The Right Spoons For The Eight Course Meal so he can go meet Ventress's grump grandpa in a setting that isn't attempted murder.

Moving in together I am not convinced either of them knows how to go about finding an apartment. They've both lived either With An Adult or In Military Housing for most of their lives. I mean, Ventress probably did something between leaving Ratattak and finding Dooku, but I doubt it was legally signing a lease, you know? I think they move into a wing of Dooku's castle for about five weeks before they're looking for a way out and move to Coruscant or something and just temporarily end up in a Jedi Temple apartment while searching for housing because living with Dooku is suffocating, even with an entire castle to avoid each other in.

A crossover of my choice Okay I know this is a little stupid but please imagine them dressed up as MCU Hawkeye and Black Widow thank you

An au of my choice Some kind of fairy tale AU where Rex is a brave knight in shining armor and Ventress is the Intimidating Witch that he needs to confront and defeat in order to Gain A Useful Object for whatever fairy tale plot he's following, but he somehow ends up dating the witch by the end? She's not a good witch yet, but she's not attempting murder, so it's fine.

well, let's see- Mass Effect, Dragon Age, MCU (caveat, all my Marvel knowledge goes into anything I write. My Hawkeye is an amalgam of the Clint i grew up with, the Clint from Fraction's run of Hawkeye, and what we were given in the MCU with all the...uh, blatantly weird dad vibes thrown out the window. I really like Laura and the kids but i have no idea what to do with Dad!Clint. He is the least Dad-shaped Avenger and i'm including like, Speedball). oh absolutely, fandom is built on the life blood of comments and i've made some of my dearest friends fangirling over each other's fic. Plus, i've never been particularly overwhelmed by comments so it's never been a particular hardship.

In Cupid's Little Bag of Trix, probably. Clint and Darcy are a barrel of monkeys and they're both so fucking full of zest.

Not that I've ever noticed. I'm fortunate enough to just get readers who want to be chill. i had someone once scold me for being mean to Alec Ryder, lol.

9. Do you write smut?

so much smut- less in Mass Effect, which is mildly hilarious given Aedan's penchants, lol.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Not unless you count the various branchings of Marvel. I don't really get the appeal.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not as far as I know.

I have! I had the high honor of writing Shep/Shep with my buddy @nightmarestudio606 with The End is Where We Begin

I sail an armada, lol. I multiship and my favorite varies with what day it is. Right now, Codywan is winning, heh. My favorite to *write* though... Shenko is right up there but Clint/Darcy was so much fun.

15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

none of my WIPs are abandoned. I don't know if I'll ever finish Steal Away Home the way i want to, though.

16. What’s your writing strengths?

Dialogue and characterization, I think. Structurally, I have an excellent grasp of nuance when it comes to word choice in a way that lets me say a lot with not much.

17. What’s your writing weaknesses?

I'm not particularly focused and it can take a long time for me to finish work. And I tend to write without outline and that can lead to a wandering, meander of a fic.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Do it all the time, do my best to make it accurate. I use a smattering of Scots Gaelic for my version of Starkhaven and my source is mostly old books because i like the archaic texture of it. Several of my characters have american south accents and i elide words and use slang and drop g's. '"I am going to the store, mother," she said in her Texas twang' does not read like "Goin' t'the store, ma." and you can't make me believe you don't lose vast amounts of characterization by trying to force it to work. And overly correct dialogue is one of the first reasons i'll drop out of reading fic.

20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

hard to pick from my favorite children, lol

Cupid's Little Bag of Trix is a (now fairly heavily edited) mess of stream of consciousness that grew a plot from when i was writing quick switch omniscient pov and just expected my readers to figure it out. But i love it. And it remains the biggest boost to my writing ego as ten years after posting, i still get kudos Verge (post Omega DLC) is when i really figured out who Aedan and Kaidan are, together and it manages to wreck me all over again, every time i re-read it.

ykw have this new one. hawkeye/frank fake dating post-canon because the concept got into my head and i had to figure out a way to somehow make it happen.

“You’ll abandon me there and leave me alone with strangers,” Frank whined.

Okay, maybe that was a fair accusation. He hadn’t been planning to hold Frank’s hand all night. But it would be a little cruel to drag him out to a gay party, introduce him, and leave him to the mercy of the wolves and fairies while he caught up with friends and tried to get laid. He liked to think someone would take pity on Frank and include him, but it didn’t do to underestimate how resistant he was to a helping hand. Hawkeye could play escort for a while.

“I won’t, I promise,” he said, uncrossing his arms and holding his hands up in a gesture of innocence. “I’ll stick to you like falsies to a drag queen.”

“Don’t be crude,” Frank said with the combination of disgust and barely-suppressed amusement that Hawkeye always aimed for.

okay so another 12 episodes into season 6 and I’ll say a few overall things

1. Margaret this season is glowing! she’s crying! she’s being vulnerable! she’s opening up to Hawkeye especially!!!! she’s got a friend who’s a woman!!!!!!!!!! (did anyone else get a biiit of a lesbian feeling between the two of them? Margaret you’ve changed -- I loved you -- I love you)

And: that double episode where she and Hawkeye are lost in the middle of nowhere and end up presumably having sex -- I feel like the show is predicting all my tastes and needs??? the fact that they do have sex (which I did suspect would happen) and at a time like that where they’re both incredibly scared, and off the back of them leaning emotionally on each other during some incredibly tough times (Hawkeye telling her about Kyung Soon, Margaret telling him about Donald), the fact that Margaret -- being in a very emotionally vulnerable position + always battling against what she wants with what she feels is expected -- leans into the interpretation that it means they’re in love/starting a relationship, the falling out when Hawkeye eventually overcomes the awkwardness and tells her that he didn’t see the situation like that (and neither did she, she’s just following a script), the falling out, and the final scene!!!??? where they talk it out and realize they’re on the same page actually, and genuinely like and respect one another as friends?????? never did I think! it would go down like that!! (I’ve been ruined by all these stories about compulsory romance and sex = romance and the main guy and the main girl get together every time, to think it could be this good!?)

Also what was the intention of the framing when Margaret takes the block of wood out of Hawkeye’s thigh and he’s squirming around, because it sure looks like she’s ******* him (which... also correct and right)

hers and Hawkeye’s friendship has been especially gratifying to watch this season, as I’ve been hoping and waiting for it since the beginning, but I love seeing her open up to others -- last episode her girl friend (girlfriend) Lorraine told her that she ought to trust herself to become friends with her colleagues and she nervously asked BJ and Charles if they’d have coffee with her and of course they accepted, because Margaret is a fucking delight!

2. and then we had a series of episodes which had various degrees of serious, but mainly seemed to give lots of wonderful family dynamics (including the episode Mail Call Three which had two actual “family”s in there!) -- I almost feel too safe, like something terrible is waiting around the corner (oh yeah, the war...) -- but until then we got some wonderful stuff

- the episode where BJ has to call Peggy, just because he wants to know that she still “needs” him at all

- the whole Olympics episode

- Radar feeling strange about his mother dating a new man, and Hawkeye talking about his father (and Radar joking a bit about the idea of their parents getting together, which was such a sibling energy moment)

- Margaret choreographing making sure that Hawkeye and BJ get hosed down + running over Charles’ trumpet! (and everyone cheering her)

- Klinger and Mulcahy going out on a mission to find stolen penicillin

- too many “Potter is dad” moments to count honestly

- Hawkeye and Potter immediately springing to action to help Margaret figure out if she’s pregnant, and on her terms (not making it official)

- and especially Klinger, both with the divorce and talking about how much he loves the 4077 (if not being in Korea) and with the episode where he accidentally throws out Margaret’s ring.

3. speaking of the episode with Margaret’s ring (and Margaret), both me and my partner feel like in this season the airing date order was clearly not completely in tune with some of the development -- especially Margaret who definitely has a “before Comrades in Arms” and “after Comrades in Arms” (heh I just got the joke in the title) feeling to her + the fact that the new surgical clamp they have to travel to show in those episodes apparently doesn’t get invented until three episodes later!

Going to make a note of Margaret progression and rejuggle the season so next time I watch it, I get to feel more of that development!

4. “Temporary Duty” gave us:

- the aforementioned Margaret and Lorraine! the Feelings of it all! Margaret is just life! (do you think they ever... 😳😳😳 👉👈)

- Charles development! He and BJ banding together! For a moment the walls were down! And hopefully a taste of a wonderful future friendship!

- the scene right at the end where Hawkeye returns and is so upset that nobody liked him at the other place, and has a “oh no that’s my insecurities” moment when Charles and BJ joke that they didn’t miss him at all, before Charles hugs him and BJ then practically tackles the both of them to the floor in affection! (screams and cries, my boys!)

I recently confirmed that I'm Winry Rockbell from FMA, and that...explains a lot.

I've been in the fandom since 2003 (reading those scanlations on Livejournal and watching the first anime on Adult Swim). I've had at least one Edward Elric soulbond just hanging around since day one. I wrote fun little stories about him and his brother. A lot of them were memories the soulbond had carried with him, stories about causing mischief around Central, running errands, having silly (and other times serious) arguments with Al or his boss, etc. At some point, he started pursuing me VERY avidly--in ways you'd expect Edward Elric to pursue anybody...I'll leave that to the imagination. It was common for soulbonders to date their headmates, but this still confused the hell out of me, because for all I knew, I was just an ordinary fan. To complicate things further, the soulbond also didn’t know that I am Winry. He just felt a strong, inexplicable connection as soon as he saw me. Unfortunately for him, it took a while to convince me that this was actually okay.

Over the years, we’ve been contacted by different versions of Ed in the headspace, including most iterations of canon and a couple of AUs. I’ve even stumbled across a person offline who called Edward Elric his “alter ego”, and while he was friendly and just wanted to meet later for coffee, it was easily one of the most surreal and unnerving conversations I’ve ever had.

Some time ago, I had a dream where I was having a casual conversation with Lt. Hawkeye, and I remember her smiling and calling me “Miss Rockbell.” I woke up and immediately told myself that the dream meant nothing.

Lately I’ve been working less and learning to enjoy my spare time, doing things such as baking, creating things with my hands and a set of tools, going to the park and interacting with people’s dogs, etc. And it all just clicked. There’s a lot more, but this is getting long enough.

My current personality is very different, though that seems to be the norm from what I gather. Our current dynamic is also very different and arguably more intense. So right now we’re going through a period where I’m figuring out how to balance these two sides of myself.

I’m writing this late at night; I hope this makes sense. It feels better to get it out. It took me twenty years to get here, and I know a large part of it is because I didn’t think it would be possible.

personally im just a fan of whatever makes Hawkeye more sad and tragic, but also. just, imagining what hawkeye would be like if he had a sister and their family dynamics is something thats making my brain fizz happily like zotz

I was really into Hawkeye having a sister the first time I watched season 1, but by the time I finished the show I'd completely flipped. There's no mystery about why this happened; I followed the show. He's pretty consistently written as an only child later on, and let's be honest, Alan Alda is bringing only child energy (he's actually an only child with a sibling, a paternal half-brother who was twenty years younger). I feel the dynamic we're presented for Hawkeye and Daniel is intended to be just the two of them, and a lot of storylines don't work as well if there's another close relative. Why wouldn't his sister be mention in The Late Captain Pierce? Where is she in Sons and Bowlers? What about Hawkeye's story to Radar about his dad dating when he was twelve? I'm not opposed to fic that gives him a sister, but I think of it as canon divergence even though part of canon technically supports it, because the contradictory parts of canon don't carry equal weight.

I like making him sad and tragic but not with the dead sister thing and I'm not quite sure why. I guess it feels like too much? We already have that story about him losing his mom. I don't like just piling the tragedy on. That almost makes it lose its edge for me. But like, I don't hate it as an additional bit of sad backstory as long as it doesn't include the part where "kiss mom and sis for me" means their graves because I hate that. And I also just need everyone to accept that even a dead sister doesn't explain anything, there is simply no explanation that makes the show not directly contradict itself, TV continuity was actively being invented at the same time MASH was on, and that's just how it goes.

White Vision Merch Guide

I have a pretty sizable collection of Vision (and Scarlet Witch) merch, and often get asked about pieces available. A friend asked for a guide to all of the known White Vision merch, so I’ve put this together.

This guide will ONLY include official Marvel items for right now. There are plenty of great fan-made pieces too, such as pins and stickers (even some cute plushies) but that is a nearly impossible search to make a comprehensive list.

I will NOT be including comics in this list, or made-to-order items like shirts and art prints, as much like fan-made items it would be almost impossible to track all of these down. Sites like Hot Topic, Box Lunch, and Disney Store have offerings if you are looking for a White Vision shirt to be printed.

I spend a lot of time in toy collector spaces and looking for items online as a hobby, and this list consists of everything I know of. If you know of a White Vision item I have missed, please let me know (so I can add it to my own collection ;) )

MCU/WandaVision Merch:

Marvel Funko WandaVision #824: Released in 2021, along with a Glow in the Dark Variant. A Diamond Edition Variant also released in 2022.

Funko Soda Vision (White Vision Variant): These were just announced the week before I’m writing this post, and are currently a pre-order scheduled for release later in 2022. White Vision will be the chase variant in the set.

Hasbro Marvel Legends Wave 6 - WandaVision The Vision: Released 2021, also comes with pieces to assemble wings for Captain America Sam Wilson who was part of same series.

Hot Toys The Vision 1:6 Scale Figure: Released for pre-order in 2021, estimated release is Q3-4 2022. Looks like he will have light up effects for his power source, as well as 2 eye sets for the CATARACT look vs ‘normal’ Vision.

Hot Toys The Vision Cosbaby: Released 2021 as part of WandaVision Hot Toys announcement.

Iron Studios 1:4 and 1:10 Scale Statues: Pre-order announcement in 2022 with estimated release date in Q3-4 2022. There is a large 1/4 scale statue, and a smaller 1/10 scale one, but the sculpt appears to be the same for both with slightly different bases.

Bleacher Creatures WandaVision Kuricha Pack: Plush set sold as a pack released in 2021. Plushes are bean-filled and about 8 inches tall. (The fact that they released a 2-pack of plush and it’s White Vision made me happier than it should have)

LEGO 71031 Marvel Studios Series: One of the options found in the Marvel Studios LEGO blind bags released in 2021

Disney Key Marvel Disney+ Mystery Series: Also released in 2021, this set is another blind-bag style collectable. There is a White Vision themed key design, as well as one for SWORD and Scarlet Witch.

Marvel Studios 24 Pin Advent Calendar: Released in 2021, this was a holiday advent calendar with pins from the Disney+ series including WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If?, and Hawkeye. There are a few WandaVision pins, including a White Vision design.

100% Soft Official Marvel Emoji Pins: Released in 2022, the artist who created the cute emojis found on Twitter and olther social media has released pins of the designs. White Vision was a limited edition variant of the WandaVision set.

TeeTurtle Marvel Collection: TeeTurtle releases new designs all the time, and have 1 featuring White Vision at the time of this post.

Hot Wheels Character Cars WandaVision The Vision: Released in 2021, part of the character car collection.

616 Comic-Verse White Vision:

There isn’t much White vision merch for his comic appearance that I have found, but with his introduction in the MCU we’ve seen a few pieces pop up.

Applause PVC Marvel Figures: Released in 1990s? These pop up on Ebay and Etsy from time to time, but are difficult to find. There were a lot of Marvel characters made, including a White Vision and Scarlet Witch (Photo from my collection because I haven’t ever found a picture with packaging).

Marvel Legends Infinite Series Target Exclusive 3-Pack: The White Vision was included in a Target Exclusive set released in 2015. The figure is pretty neat as it features a semi-transluscent paint application.

Marvel Pin Mates The Infinity Gauntlet Set G02: Released in 2018 as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive, this set features key characters from The Infinity Gauntlet comic arc, including White Vision.

Marvel Legends Vintage (Retro) Series Vision: Released 2022, this appears to be a reissue of the 2015 figure but with a new opaque paintjob. I love the retro-packaging on this one. There was a Scarlet Witch released with him too.

Funko Marvel BattleWorld Vision Exclusive Edition Variant: Released in 2022, Marvel Battleworld series 3 offered a Vision themed starter kit. The Spectral Vision appears as a chase variant.

And there we have it! I will try to update this list as new items are discovered/released. There are also a number of wonderful fan-made items you can find online through Etsy and artists personal stores, and I may create a list of items I have of that nature in the future.
