Collateral - Chapter 1

Warning: Explosion, mention of past torture, injuries, mention of death
Word Count: 4.3K
Life was crazy. The past week was a whirlwind. You kicked the door of your apartment closed, reusable bags were heavy in your hands and you sighed with relief when you dropped them to the counter. Fanny pushed her nose in the back of your knees, trying to get your attention. You laughed and knelt at her level. “Sorry girl,” you scratched behind her ears as she licked your face. “Don’t worry I got you a surprise but don’t tell your mom.” She barked as she agreed. You smiled and began the process of putting the groceries away. It was a little more than your weekly hall as you were making a few desserts for the grand opening of the new Avengers’ Compound. That was one of the reasons why your life was a little insane. Yelena was splitting her time between the city and Upstate, helping Sam and Tony wherever she could. You helped but you were applying to jobs because you needed to figure out what to do with your life. You applied to a handful of therapist offices in the city and a few online options. It was just a waiting game. You poured yourself a cup of coffee from the morning pot when your phone rang. It was a number you didn't recognize. “Hello,” you answered. There was silence on the other end. But you heard breathing. “I think you have the wrong number.”
“Miss. Barton,” a man’s voice said before you hung up. He had a Russian accent and your heart stopped and your stomach dropped. “It’s an honor to speak with you.”
“Who is this?” You asked.
“We have not had the pleasure of meeting,” he said. “But you have met a colleague of mine. I believe your father put him in the RAFT.”
“What do you want?” You asked, moving to your bedroom. You sat on your bed and opened your nightstand. You sat on your bed and opened your nightstand. Another phone was resting in the drawer. It was a phone for emergencies.
“I just want to talk,” the man continued. “You and Miss. Belova was not supposed to leave that cell. But I am impressed. You held out much longer than we thought.”
“Maybe your colleague was just bad at his job.” You typed in the group chat with Natasha, Clint, and Sam in it. 9-1-1. But you didn’t send it.
“You would be correct. It’s so hard to find good help these days,” Fanny rested her head on your leg. “May I ask you something, Miss. Barton?”
“You’ve already ruined my day so go for it,” he laughed and a shiver went down your spine.
“Well, two things. Do you feel safe, Miss. Barton? In your little New York apartment with your girlfriend and American Akita.” You didn’t answer as you finally hit send. You did not feel safe. It wasn’t long before the other phone started to blow up with text messages. “And my final question is, did your father build the house in Iowa? I do have to admit I’m a big fan of the green shutters against the white. It adds character. ” He continued to talk but you muted him and called your dad on the other phone. He answered on the first ring.
“Chip, what’s going on?” He asked.
“Get out of the house.”
“What?”
“Clint, get out of the house. Now.” You rarely used his name unless it was serious.
“I-” but an explosion cut Clint off.
“Dad!” You yelled. “Dad!” But he didn’t answer as the line went dead. You unmuted the man. “What did you do?”
“It’s such a beautiful house, such a shame.”
“I’m going to find you and kill you.” You threatened. He laughed again.
“Oh, Miss. Barton, you won’t be alive long enough to live up to your promise. But I do wish we could have met in person,” he ended the call. You didn’t bother to get him back on the line. You called Natasha.
“What the hell is going on?” She asked.
“Iowa, I need you to get to them.” You said. You opened the door to the fire escape. “Fanny, come on.”
“Why Iowa?”
“They attacked my house and I need you to make sure they are okay.”
“What about you?”
“Don’t worry about me. Get to them.” You got Fanny onto the fire escape and climbed out the window as an explosion rocked your apartment building.
*
Yelena twirled the pen between her fingers as she stared at her tablet. She was working on revising a recon mission for newly appointed SWORD agents. Delegating this type of work allowed her to have more free time and focus on other missions. The blonde sighed, biting the end of her pen and looking out the window. It was a beautiful sunny day. There was a lot of work that needed to be done because in two days the compound was going to open to the press and other governmental officials. It was Sam’s idea to provide a level of visibility between the Avengers and the public. He wanted to avoid another Sokovia Accords. She put a lot of energy into helping them and she liked being at the Avengers Compound. She wished she was with you and Fanny in your apartment. “How’s it going?” Kate asked, sitting down next to her. She replaced her empty iced coffee with a new one. America sat down in front of her.
“I’m ready to go home,” she put her pen down and sipped on the coffee. They fought hard for a good coffee station in the new compound. America smiled.
“Can we see the ring again?” The Black Widow rolled her eyes with a smile. She knew they were here for a reason. The ring went with her everywhere, she was afraid you would find it. So with the help of Laura, Lila, and Wanda the ring was picked out and burning a hole in her pocket. Yelena took the small black box out of her pocket and handed it to America. She opened the box. It was a simple ring as you weren’t a big jewelry wearer besides the necklace Clint gave you. The ring was tungsten, black, and silver with stardust. Yelena wanted something that would withstand your powers.
“When are you going to pop the question?” Kate asked, taking the ring from her girlfriend. Yelena sighed.
“I don’t know yet,” she took the box and looked at the ring. “I want it to be perfect but-”
“She won’t care about perfection,” America said. “As long it’s just you and her that’s all she’ll care about.” Yelena smiled, knowing she was right. Two sets of footsteps rushed over to them. Yelena turned around to see her sister and Wanda running over to them.
“Where’s the fire?” Yelena asked.
“Iowa,” Yelena’s heart skipped. “America, we need a portal to the Barton Farmhouse.” The girl jumped to her feet.
“Natasha, what’s going on?” Yelena asked.
“We’ll explain when we get back,” the portal appeared and Yelena saw the farmhouse that she began to call a second home in flames.
“We’re coming with you,” Kate said.
“No,” Natasha stopped the archer. “You need to get to Y/n.”
“What?” Yelena whispered. Natasha grabbed the black box and pushed it into her sister’s hand.
“Get to your apartment,” Natasha grabbed Wanda’s hand and stepped through the portal. It closed behind them. Yelena felt lost, her heart was pounding in her ears. She barely recognized America creating another portal and Kate dragging her through. Soon they were back in the city, across the street from your shared apartment.
“Shit,” Kate whispered. Yelena shook her head, clearing the fog from her brain. She put the ring back into her pocket and stared at the apartment building. It was in flames, the first responders were trying to battle it as a crowd was forming. “Yelena, come on,” Kate said, grabbing Yelena’s hand.
“What are you doing?” She asked, pulling her hand back.
“She’s not in there.”
“How-how do you know?” Yelena knew she should have conceived you harder to come with her to the compound today. But you couldn’t because of errands you had to run and Fanny had a grooming appointment. Shit, Fanny. Her thoughts were spinning out of control.
“Because,” America said. “They must have known the attack was coming if they knew to come here and to Iowa.” Yelena nodded.
“She’ll stay close,” Yelena said. “Let’s split up.”
*
Your lungs were burning as you finally took a break in an alley. You were two blocks away from your apartment and black smoke was rising in the sky. Fanny touched her nose to your hand. “I’m okay,” you reassured the American Akita. “I’m okay.” And you were - shaken, dirty from the soot but alive. When the explosion rocked your apartment building, you grabbed Fanny by the collar and transformed into a condor. The blast almost knocked you out of the air. You landed on your ankle and took off running. You weren’t sure who was out there watching to confirm you were killed in the explosion. You prayed Natasha got to your parents in time. Fanny started to growl.
“You stupid girl,” you yelped at the sudden voice and turned to look at the entrance of the alley. It was the nurse.
“It’s - it’s you,” Fanny’s growl grew louder as she walked over to you. You put your hand on her head to calm her down. It worked but she was still on edge. “I don’t understand. We tried to find you.”
“Did you ever think I didn’t want to be found?” She questioned. “I-”
“Wait? Have you been following us?” It made sense that the day you were attacked she suddenly appeared. “You-” it was her turn to cut you off, placing her hand over your mouth.
“You Americans never know when to shut up. I don’t have a lot of time so when I remove my hand you’ll stop talking and listen. Understand?” You nodded. “Good.” She took her hand off your mouth. “They don’t want to kill you,” you wanted to interpret and say it ‘seemed like they did want to kill me.’ But you kept your mouth shut. “They want to scare and break you.”
“What do they want?” You asked.
“You,” she said. “Your time with them changed their plans. You impressed them. Before they wanted that blonde girlfriend of yours or any avenger they could get their hand on.” Your heart stopped. “You can’t let them.”
“How do we stop them?”
“We’re working on it,” We? You knew the Avengers were working on it but who else? “Don’t do anything stupid no matter what they do.” You sighed.
“Who are you?”
“You’ll find out soon,” she put a pager in your hand. She disappeared out of the alley. You slumped against the alley wall, putting the pager in your pocket.
“Dorogy,” you heard your girlfriend and you watched her run over to you. She took you into her arms. “Are you okay? Any injuries?” She cupped your face in her hands.
“I’m okay,” you smiled. “My ankle is twisted but I’m alive.” She kissed you softly.
“I found her,” she said through her coms. “2 blocks south, in an alley next to the bookstore.” Yelena looked back at you. “What’s-” but you silenced her question with a hug. She was surprised by the action but she hugged you tighter. You weren’t ready for that question, the pager felt heavy in your pocket. But you were safe for now you were safe.
*
When America and Kate got to your location, a portal was made to bring you to the compound. Helena and Bruce were waiting for you in med bay. Helen checked on your ankle while Bruce made sure Fanny was okay. “Try to stay off it for a few days and ice it.”
“Have you heard from Natasha or Wanda?” You asked.
“Not yet,” Helen said. “But we are on standby when they get here.” The door opened and Fanny came running in with Bruce right behind. Fanny jumped on the bed and licked your face. You giggled, petting her.
“She’s in perfect condition,” he said. You rested your head against Fanny. “We’ll give you a few moments. Come get us if you need anything.”
“Thank you,” Yelena said to them as they left and closed the door. The room was quiet, only you and Yelena. Kate and America were with Sam, setting up a compound center and waiting for Natasha to call them. “Do you want to tell me what’s going on?” You sighed.
“It was them,” you said. “The same group that took us.” You looked at your girlfriend. Her jaw was clenched and there was a fire in her eyes. “There’s more but I'd rather wait till -” your voice died off. Till you knew if your family was alive or not.
“Of course, malysh (baby),” she hugged you and your head resting on her chest. Her heartbeat was erratic. You looked up at her.
“Are you okay?” She rolled her eyes.
“I’m fine,” you gave her a pointed look. “I’ll be better once we hear from Natasha.” You nodded, putting your head on her chest. Her hands ran through your hair to try to calm you down. It helped but it wasn’t enough. But you guessed no news was good news, right? Fanny rested her head on your lap.
“I wanted to make cookies,” you said suddenly. “For the grand opening.” You felt her laugh rumble through your chest. “It’s not funny,” you pinched her side.
“I know, I know,” she kissed your head.
“Squirt!” You heard your father’s voice from behind the closed door. Yelena stepped out of the way as you jumped up and rang for the door. You saw them down the hall - Clint, Laura, and Cooper were covered in soot from the fire. Nate and Lila looked unharmed
“Dad!” You ignored the pain in your ankle and sprinted towards them. Clint caught you in his arms. You felt him wince and as you were about to pull away he hugged you tighter. “Are you guys okay?”
“We’re okay,” Clint let go of you so you could hug Laura than your siblings. “Lila and Nate were in the barn when it went off.
“Is the house-?”
“We need to rebuild,” Laura smiled. Your heart dropped. You didn’t like being home but it was the place you and your siblings grew up.
“Clint,” Helen came up to your family. “We’d like to check on you and your family.” You knew he was going to protest.
“Go, dad,” you smiled. “I’ll bring Lila and Cooper to their room.”
“Are we going to live at the compound?” Nate asked.
“Just for a while, buddy,” you said. You weren’t sure for how long but they’d be safe.
*
Yelena’s eyes never left you. She couldn’t help it as if you would disappear in a puff of smoke before her eyes. You were sitting in a chair with your right left on Yelena’s lap, icing your ankle. It was like pulling teeth for Yelena to get you even to rest. You showered, changing into new clothes, and you looked like nothing happened. But Yelena knew you were stuck inside your head. Everyone was in the conference room, waiting for Clint to join them. “Sorry,” the older archer said, entering the room. He had gauze on his arms for the burns and a bandage on his forehead. “What do we know?” Tony pulled up a hologram of your apartment building.
“We don’t know much as the NYPD is still investigating but they believe there were two explosions. One coming from their floor and the other in the basement.” The hologram simulated the bombs going off. Yelena squeezed your hand. They’d be lucky if the building was still standing. “As for the attack on Clint’s house, satellite images found this,” the hologram changed to show the group heat signatures of the property. She saw two people in the barn and three in the house but no one else. Until 3 small dots zoomed into the frame and headed for the farmhouse. Tony closed the image before the impact. “We are thinking they used drones. Hill is at the scene investigating and will report back with anything they find.”
“Do we know how many people were in the building?” You asked. Sam shook his head.
“NYPD is still checking residences and who was there.” You nodded.
“They must be watching them,” Natasha said. “Can FRIDAY pull up security footage around their apartment and maybe we can cross-section the people who were in the crowd?”
“FRIDAY is already ahead of you and tracing the phone call.”
“Phone call?” Yelena questioned, looking at you. You were staring at the wooden desk, using your free hand to trace the grooves.
“I just got back from the grocery store,” you started to explain. “And I got a phone call from a number I didn’t recognize but I answered it,” You started to squeeze Yelena’s hand underneath the table. “He was Russian. He said that we’d never met but I knew a colleague of his,” Yuriy Zakharov. He was sent away to the RAFT for life. “He told me that Yelena and I weren’t supposed to leave that cell. He asked if I felt safe,” your voice cracked. “Then he asked if Clint built the farmhouse, how he liked the green shutters against the white.”
“That was your mother’s decision. I’m glad someone approved of the color,” Clint joked. It broke the heavy tension.
“It was such an ugly green,” you laughed. “Anyways, I called Clint and told him to get out of the house. The call ended when I heard an explosion. He told me I wasn’t going to be alive long but he did wish we had the chance to meet. He hung up. I got Fanny to the fire escape while I called Nat then the bomb went off. I transformed, got myself and Fanny to the ground, and we ran.” Yelena felt you tense up. There was more to the story but you were holding back. She stole a glance at Wanda but the witch made no indication if she sensed something else. You had a habit of closing off your mind when she was around.
“What’s the plan?” Wanda asked. “They are bold enough to attack so openly.”
“And in two days, the compound is going to be filled with reporters and politicians,” Kate said. “Do we cancel the event?” Sam rested his hand on his chin as he was deep in thought. Yelena wondered what was going through his brain.
“It may be too dangerous,” Clint added. “They could use it as an opportunity to attack again.”
“Then don’t cancel it,” everyone’s eyes landed on you. “They want something, it could be me, Yelena, or one of you so use the event as a trap.” The room broke out into debate. You looked at Yelena, a silent conversation based between the two of you. ‘It could work,’ you said.
‘It’s dangerous and risky,’ Yelena countered.
‘But I won’t be alone.’ You were right. So many Avengers were going to be there to show solidarity - the Wankandans, the Guardians, and the Marvels.
“It could work,” Yelena finally said. The room went silent. “As much as I hate it, we need answers and this could give us some.” You smiled at her. Clint sighed.
“I want full background checks on everyone who is going to be there,” he said. “And security will be increased.” Sam nodded.
“We’ll come up with a plan and regroup tomorrow. Tonight we relax.” Yelena wasn’t sure if anyone was going to be able to relax. Everything seemed so uncertain and the small black box was burning a hole in her pocket.
*
Clint had to admit this was weird. He was sipping on a beer, standing in the kitchen as he observed the scene before him. Laura and Pepper were talking and laughing at something Tony said. Cooper was in an intense debate with Sam and Bruce about baseball. The archer didn’t know Bruce had so much to say about sports. Yelena had Nate in her lap while he and Morgan watched Wanda’s magic. It was weird seeing both of his families interact. “How are you holding up?” Natasha asked, standing next to him with her drink in her hand. He sighed.
“Tired,” he admitted. “I thought we were done with this.” It was a hopeful dream, something he knew was somewhat impossible but he still hopped.
“We’ll get them and your family will rebuild a new home,” she was right but it wouldn’t be the same.
“Until the next bad guy emerges to hurt us and the people we care about.”
“Aren’t you being extremely pessimistic,” Clint turned to look at you. You smiled and walked to stand between him and Natasha. “You know I always dreamt of this,” you said, pointing to the table. “Both of my families together. I didn’t expect us almost dying from an explosion would make it happen.” Natasha chuckled, hitting her shoulder against yours. “We’ll be okay since we’re together. Like I told him they’re messing with the wrong fucking family.”
*
When Yelena stepped out of the bathroom, her hair wet from the shower she was surprised to see you in her bed. It wasn’t an unwelcome sight but she wasn’t expecting it. “I thought you’d be with your family tonight,” you smiled.
“I wanted to be with you,” you sat up, patting the empty spot in front of you. “Do you want me to braid your hair?” Yelena answered by handing you a brush and sitting down in front of you. You sat up on your knees and began to brush her hair. Yelena felt the tension from the day leave her shoulders. But there was a nagging feeling in the back of her head. You were hiding something. She wanted to ask but there had to be a reason you weren’t telling them. “Did you hear what I said?” Yelena hummed.
“No,” she answered honestly. “The feeling of you braiding my hair is relaxing.” You giggled. Yelena felt your lips on her shoulder, goosebumps covered her skin. “You were saying.”
“We need to go shopping,” you said. “Do you think they’ll let us go into the city tomorrow?” Yelena sighed. She wasn’t sure but you were right. There were a few outfits she’s left at the compound but she now needed something to wear for the grand opening. Your parents and siblings would be in a similar situation.
“We can ask. Maybe if Natasha or Sam joins us,” you hummed and placed the brush on the nightstand. “Thank you,” Yelena captured your lips in a kiss. You weaved your hands through her blonde hair and pulled her close. The kiss depended and Yelena fisted the blanket to ground herself. Soon the need for oxygen became too great and Yelena ended the kiss. The blonde felt your breath against her lips. Your eyes were closed, your chest rapidly rising and falling, and your skin flushed. But Yelena watched as your lip started to shake and the wall you built up was slowly crashing down. “Baby, what is it?” It took a minute for you to respond. Yelena placed her hand on your hip, her thumb drawing circles on your skin.
“I can’t lose you,” you finally said. You opened your eyes and tears fell down your cheeks. “I am so tired of them hurting us.” Yelena pulled you into a hug. She felt your tears wet her shirt but that didn’t matter to her. She heard Fanny leave her spot in the kitchen and jump on the bed to provide extra support.
“I know, I know,” she kissed your head. “I’m right here. I’m right here and I’m not going anywhere,” her saying caused a loud sob to leave you. Yelena forced you to look at her and she took one of your hands, placing it on her heart. “Breath, moya lyubov' (my love), breath. Follow me. In and out,” you did. You twisted her shirt in your hand and mimicked each breath Yelena took. “You are doing so well.” Soon your cries turned into quiet hiccups and your breathing evened out. The grip you had on Yelena’s shirt loosened.
“I-”
“If you say I’m sorry I will ban you from baking cookies for a month,” you giggled at her ridiculous threat.
“Thank you.”
“No need to thank me. What do you need? Water? A snack?” You shook your head and Yelena let you pull her down so you were laying on your back and she was laying on her side, looking down at you. You traced the lines on Yelena’s forehead and traveled down to her nose and her cheek. Yelena pressed your palm to her lips.
“I just need you.”
“You have me,” Yelena whispered. “You have me.”
*
You knew sleep wouldn’t be possible for you tonight so you sat in the meeting room with the local news channels reporting on the attack. The apartment building was destroyed. As of right now, the police were reporting 5 deaths and 10 injuries but you had a feeling that number was going to go up. You played with the pager in your hand. Instead of sadness and uncertainty that was making its home within your bones, there was a rage building inside of you. It felt consuming. How dare these people to cause so much pain? They were innocent. Just to scare you into submission. “You should have woken me up,” you didn’t bother to look at Yelena as she entered the room and sat down next to you. “Are you going to finally tell me what you’ve been hiding?” You gave her the pager. She looked it over and set it down.
“I told him I was going to find him and I was going to kill him,” she placed her hand on top of yours. “I meant it too.”
“Who gave this to you?” She asked, redirecting the conversation. You sighed.
“Our old friend is back,” you said. “The nurse.”

Hawkeye vs. Deadpool is a very underrated crossover comic and you should read it! Come on, just look at this! This is awesome!
Tumblr media
You literally don't need to know anything about them and it would still be enjoyable (that is not confirmed and is based solely on my not-very-humble opinion)
Honestly, this trio is not talked about enough. Their personalities and humour works so well together
Tumblr media
I have this memory that they also had some kind of Christmas special comic but I can't find it and now I'm not sure if I imagined it or maybe it was a fanfiction, I don't know at this point

In fact, it can happen off camera if we don't want to work too blue today. But I make a terrible mess of things in this place.

Griffin: 5 minutes pass. 10 minutes. And then --
Justin: ok just let us talk! Just give us a second. While Thory's peein'. Did you guys hear Demi Lovato's new song? I'm not usually a Demi Lovato guy but it was a remix of uhh, cool for the summer.

Super J - Part 2
Natasha Romanoff x Beefy!Superpowered!Reader
18+ only, read at your own risk
Summary: The adventures of Jacob the super corgi continue.
Word count: 3253
AN: Reader has a penis, no pronouns used. Short smut scene at the end. :)
Thank you for all the support on Part 1 (read here)! And special shoutout to the 🍬 anon for brainstorming this one with me.
You had never had a dog of your own before, so you are constantly showering Jacob with affection and treats to the point that Natasha worries she’s being left out of your relationship. You take Jacob with you on your daily run, surprised at how well the stubby-legged corgi can keep up with (at one point even surging ahead after a cat and managing to drag you down three blocks).
Jacob attracts a lot of attention, even more than you do, and many people stop to ask if they can pet him or take a picture of him. One time, Natasha joins you two, but becomes infuriated when girls stop under the pretense of meeting Jacob, only to then turn and flirt with you instead. But you only have eyes for your girlfriend, with enough love to spare for your corgi too, and your life moves on without hiccup.
Kate and Yelena refuse to watch Jacob after the so-called incident on his first night at the Tower, so on the days that you can’t care for him, you usually ask Thor, Steve, or Clint to help. But eventually, Kate cannot resist the charms of your adorable little corgi and begins to warm up to him again.
She plays ball with him in the garden, laughing at the way Jacob turns into a furious black blur when he chases after the tennis ball she stabbed one of her arrows through. This allows her to launch the tennis ball at greater speeds than even you can throw and to a distance where she’s certain the corgi will become tired after two or three rounds, but he seems to have limitless energy.
Jacob comes tearing out of the bushes, the shaft of the arrow gripped in his mouth, when Kate’s cellphone begins to vibrate. She slings her bow over her shoulder to answer it.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Kate, it’s Agent Hill. Are you at the Tower?”
“Yeah, I’m in the back playing with Jacob.”
“Are you free for a mission? We’ll need you to be ready at the Quinjet in fifteen minutes.”
“Yes, yes, of course. What’s up?”
Meanwhile, Jacob drops the arrow at Kate’s feet, sitting down and looking up at her expectantly, waiting for her to shoot it out for him to chase again. But Kate is completely ignoring him now, turning away and grabbing her quiver of arrows off the grass. Jacob watches as she starts running back towards the Tower, leaving him alone in the garden.
He looks at his tennis ball pierced by Kate’s arrow and picks it back up with a frustrated sigh, then trots into the Tower after her.

“Where are my Widow Bites?” Natasha groans, throwing underwear and socks across the room.
“Right here,” you respond, pointing to them sitting on her nightstand.
“Thank you,” she says, snatching them up and slipping them onto her wrists. “Are you ready?”
“Almost.” You grunt as you shove your foot into your boot, lacing it on sloppily but not having enough time to care. Maria had called while you two were busy in an intimate act, but the details of the emergency mission were enough to cause you both to untangle yourselves and dress up immediately.
“Where’s Jacob?” Natasha asks.
“I think Kate took him outside.”
“Isn’t she coming with us?”
“I’ll text Clint to watch him while we’re gone. It shouldn’t be more than a few hours.”
You grab Natasha’s hand and teleport the both of you to the roof, still barely making it on time. Kate is already there, standing outside the ramp of the Quinjet with a full quiver of arrows slung across her shoulder.
“Hi, Kate,” you greet.
“Let’s go!” Natasha snaps, having no patience for formalities. You and Kate hurry after her onto the plane, finding your places as Natasha punches in the coordinates and within seconds has the Quinjet in the air. “We’ll be there in thirty minutes. Get ready to handle business as soon as we land, we don’t have any time to waste.”
“Yes, Agent Romanoff,” Kate says, while you want to swoon at the way Natasha sounds so authoritative and demanding. But now is not the time nor the place, so you have to keep it in your pants until the mission is over.
As the three of you settle in for the flight, mentally preparing yourselves for the battlefield you’ll be depositing yourselves on, a rustling noise from the back of the Quinjet catches Kate’s attention. At first she dismisses it, thinking it is an unsecured object sliding around, but then she hears a familiar clang and gets up to investigate.
She pokes her head into the back corner of the Quinjet, seemingly finding nothing, but when she returns to her seat, she sees two brown eyes staring at her from under the row of seats in the back.
“AHHHH!” Kate screams, falling to the floor and you and Natasha turn to look at her.
Jacob the corgi bounds out of his hiding spot, dragging the arrow with the tennis ball. His stumpy tail wags happily and when he spots you and Natasha in the front, he drops his toy and runs over.
“Jacob? What are you doing here?” you ask as Jacob tries to jump into your lap.
“Kate…” Natasha growls.
“I left him in the garden!” Kate says.
“You left him?”
“No, I mean…Agent Hill called me when I was outside playing with him, so I just came back inside and…didn’t really pay attention to where he was,” Kate explains lamely.
“He must have snuck on before any of us got here,” you say, stroking the corgi behind his ears. “Maybe because he knew where we were all gonna be–”
“The dog does not understand English,” Natasha interrupts. “And now what are we supposed to do with him?”
“I’ll teleport him back to the Tower!” you say, standing and tucking Jacob under your arm like a football. He barks unhappily at the position.
“No, no, wait!” both Kate and Natasha say at the same time.
“Have you ever teleported with an animal before?” Kate asks.
“You don’t know what that could do to Jacob,” Natasha adds.
“Oh. I guess that’s true.” You look down at Jacob, who you swear is frowning at you with disappointment at the idea of threatening his life. You put him on the floor and he runs back to grab his tennis-ball-arrow-thing and bring it over. “But it’s too late for us to turn around now.”
“Kate, you’ll have to stay with him,” Natasha finally says.
“Stay? But you need me for the mission!” Kate protests.
“It’s your fault he’s here,” Natasha says. “So you’re responsible for him now.”
“But he’s your dog!”
“This is not up for discussion.”
“Fine.” Kate grumbles as she sits down in her seat. She’s already thinking of a way out of this, refusing to be left behind on a Class 1 emergency mission because of a stowaway corgi. Jacob seems to sense that he’s caused some kind of disruption, because he wiggles out of your grip and pads over to Kate, butting her leg with his nose and smiling up at her. Nobody can stay mad at that face for long, and Kate grudgingly pets him for the rest of the journey.
Natasha lands the Quinjet in an open, snowy field.
“Stay here,” she says to Kate and Jacob.
“We’ll be back soon,” you add, waiting for the ramp to lower.
“Are you sure I can’t come–”
“Yes,” both of you say in unison before disappearing out of the jet.
“Goddamn it,” Kate mutters, flopping in her seat and glaring at Jacob, who is now chewing a hole in his tennis ball. She watches him for a few minutes, torn between leaving him in the Quinjet herself and joining you two, but then her mind flashes back to her first encounter with Jacob when he grew to ten times his size and almost crushed her, Yelena, and Fanny to death. Nothing similar had happened since, and you and Natasha still didn’t believe that your dog had superpowers, but now sitting here in an enclosed space with a corgi who could activate like the Hulk, Kate realizes she might be in more danger than you and Natasha.
But she’s so busy considering all the scenarios that she doesn’t notice Jacob abandon his tennis ball, moseying over to the front of the Quinjet and pushing at the buttons on the dashboard with his nose. Suddenly, the ramp lower itself again and before Kate can figure out what’s going on, a black blur darts by her feet and leaps into the snow.
“Jacob! Get back here!” Kate shouts, running out of the plane after him.
Jacob is so short that all Kate can see of him are the black tips of his ears, but he appears and disappears in the snow, hopping around like a deer.
“Jacob!” Kate calls again, but either he can’t hear her or simply refuses to respond, bounding further and further away every second. Kate has no choice but to follow him, even more afraid of what Natasha will do to her if she finds out that she not only let her dog out in enemy territory, but left him to completely fend for himself.
Despite her longer legs, Kate is clumsy and unfamiliar with the terrain, nearly twisting her ankle multiple times as she runs after Jacob. She hears shouting and gunshots in the distance, her stomach twisting when she realizes how close you and Natasha must be, and she can’t imagine what would happen if Jacob ran into the middle of a battlefield. She does her best to keep the corgi in sight, but eventually he outpaces her and Kate doesn’t know where he is anymore.
Her heart beating in her throat, she finally considers calling you, but then she hears your voices nearby and starts running towards them until her legs are on fire.
***********************************************************************
It was an ambush.
The second you and Natasha broke out through a grouping of trees, gunfire rained down on you and the two of you took shelter behind a large rock.
“They wasted no time,” you comment, inserting a fresh magazine into your handgun and racking the slide.
“They were expecting us,” Natasha responds, peeking out and firing off a few shots of her own.
“Maybe we shouldn’t have left Bishop on the Quinjet. We could probably use her long distance help right about now,” you say, speaking as casually as if the two of you were on a dinner date and not being gunned down by dozens of trained soldiers.
“We can’t let them close in,” Natasha says. “I’ll create a distraction and you try to gain some ground on them.”
“Wait, Nat–” You try to stop her, not wanting her to put herself in danger, but it’s too late. She sprints across the clearing, taking the attention of gunfire with her. “NAT!” you shout, although she can’t hear you. Shaking your head, you steel your nerves and leave your spot of cover, shooting at every soldier whose helmet you see poking out from behind trees or around bushes. There seems to be a never-ending supply of them and you don’t even know if you’ll have enough bullets for all of them.
Natasha throws herself onto the ground, rolling behind a log as gunfire spits up rocks and twigs that cut her face and hands. She cusses to herself while checking her magazine. The pressure on her is relentless, and she doesn’t even think she’ll have a moment to fire back.
But just as she has that thought, the drumming of bullets halts and she pops up, firing away. She hears the first bang of return fire before she feels the heat lance across her side, causing her to double over, gasping for air. Instinctively, she reaches for her ribs, pulling her hand away sticky with blood.
“Nat!” you scream.
Natasha’s legs buckle under her and she falls to the ground, although luckily behind the cover of the log. You race towards her with no regard for your safety anymore.
“Nat! Nat!” you continue to yell.
“GRRRRRRRR!”
The ground shakes with a tremendous roar that causes you to drop to your stomach and curl up. From behind you, something gigantic leaps into the clearing. It’s a enormous black animal, with familiar pointed ears and white paws–
“Jacob?” You gape in absolute shock as your corgi, who is now the size of a house, attacks the soldiers with frightening intensity. Seconds later, Kate Bishop in her purple uniform, huffing and puffing with her quiver rattling on her back, arrives. “Is that Jacob?” you scream at her and she only nods, trying to catch her breath.
You turn back and crawl towards Natasha, throwing your body over hers as Jacob goes crazy, tearing the soldiers apart and kicking up sandstorms of dirt. Natasha clutches onto your shoulders tightly, hiding her face in your neck from the dust clouds. Kate finally summons the strength to help, her arrows flying around to take out the remaining soldiers with an efficiency that would make Clint proud. You stay over Natasha until the noise has died down and Kate runs over to you two.
“Are you guys okay?” she asks.
“Nat?” You shift off your girlfriend, who only groans in response, clutching her bleeding side.
“We need to get back to the Quinjet,” you say, your only concern now to get Natasha to safety.
“We’re kind of far…” Kate says unhelpfully.
“Where’s Jacob?” You’re not even phased that your corgi seems to have a superpower like yourself. Either that, or he swallowed a Pym Particle when no one was looking.
“Uh…”
Jacob barks, much deeper than you’ve heard before, and the ground shakes as he bounds over. If you were standing, you don’t think you would’ve even come up to his shoulder.
“We can…probably ride him back to the Quinjet,” Kate offers, which is probably the most sensible thing you’ve heard all day.
“Is that a bear?” Natasha says out of nowhere, sitting up and wincing as she holds her side.
“No, that’s Jacob,” Kate answers.
Natasha squints at you. “Did you change his kibble?”
“What? No.”
“Yelena and I told you on day one that he could grow like this!” Kate says, almost stamping her foot in frustration at both of your poor memories. “Now do you believe us?”
“I just got shot,” Natasha says, closing her eyes and laying back down. “This could all be a dream as far as I’m concerned.”
“Natasha!”
“Come on, let’s get out of here.” You scoop up your girlfriend and carry her over to Jacob, who flattens himself against the ground so you and Kate can climb on. He trots back to the Quinjet without being prompted and shrinks back to his original size when he arrives.
“That’s a good boy,” you tell him with a pat on the head before you carry Natasha onto the Quinjet.
***********************************************************************
It turns out, Natasha was merely grazed by the bullet, so she didn’t need to stay overnight in the medical bay. Kate offers to let Jacob stay in her room that night, which surprises you, but you can sense that her and the corgi have bonded after the day’s events, so you don’t object. You tell Jacob good night and promise to cook him the biggest steak you can find tomorrow, and he licks your hand, trotting down the hall with Kate.
You go with Natasha back to your room.
“Do you want me to run you a bath?” you ask.
“Will you join me?” she asks.
“Of course.”
You walk into the master bathroom, plugging the tub and running the water at a warm but not hot temperature. You’re still sweaty and grimy yourself from the mission and you think Natasha will appreciate the non-scalding temperature of the water. You grab the soap and shampoo from the shower and put it on the edge of the tub, then call Natasha in.
The two of you undress each other carefully. Natasha has a waterproof bandage covering her side and a few other scratches and bruises from the mission. You have some of your own, but they’re nowhere near the same severity as hers. You can tell she’s tired from how slow she moves and you kiss her head before you help her into the tub. You slip in behind her, the water the perfect temperature against your skin and you lean back against the edge, Natasha sitting between your legs.
“This is nice,” she mumbles, resting against you and closing her eyes.
You soak a washcloth in the water and lather it up with soap, gently brushing it across Natasha’s shoulders and down her arms. She turns around so you can wash her front, and then she takes the cloth from you and washes you with it. You love spending time with her like this, sharing such a simple but intimate activity together. After you wash your hairs and drain the tub of all the soap and shampoo, you move to get out, but Natasha grabs onto your hand and asks you to stay for a little longer. You fill the tub again with fresh water and sit back down, facing her this time.
Her hands rests on your thighs under the water and you feel her squeeze them before trailing up to cup between your legs.
“Nat?” you ask, but she leans forward to silence you with a kiss.
“Is this okay?” she asks, stroking you softly.
“Yes,” you respond with a shuddering breath, tilting your head back against the edge of the tub. Natasha knows her way around your body better than you do at this point; she knows how to get you worked up in minutes, or how to draw out the pleasure until you’re literally putty in her hands.
“Good. Just relax for me, baby.”
“I can do that.” You close your eyes as Natasha touches you, moaning when her hands slide up and down your shaft with the perfect amount of pressure. She trails kisses down your jaw, pausing to suck on your neck as she builds you up to release.
It doesn’t take long until you’re throbbing in her hands. “Fuck, Nat. I…I’m close,” you pant. She squeezes just under your head, effectively stopping you from blowing and you open your eyes again, just in time to see her lifting herself onto your cock, slipping you into her and the combination from the water and the warmth of her walls makes you moan in satisfaction.
Natasha holds onto your shoulders as she moves her hips and water splashes out of the tub in waves. You cup her bottom, tilting your head up to silently ask for a kiss that she obliges to, sealing her lips with yours while she rides you. You love this woman so much, you feel like you’ll never be able to show her or put it in words. But when she rests her forehead against yours, you know that she knows.
Your body goes still when you finally cum, your abs flexing into a washboard and Natasha purposely tilts her hips up so she can rub her clit against them, reaching her own high seconds after yours. She rests her head against your chest and you wrap your strong arms tightly around her, a silent reminder of how much you love her and how you’ll never let anything happen to her.

40 LOOKS DAMN GOOD
I saw this on Twitter and thought it'd be fun to do here as a mini celebration. Interaction has been so dead on here for everyone, it'd be fun to liven it back up! Everyone feel free to play along!
Favorite Movie(s)
The Last Duel! I love that movie. Blackkklansman is the runner up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I actually don't care for most of his other movies at all in terms of the movie itself. 65, The Report, and Logan Lucky were decent, but definitely second tier.
Favorite Character(s)
Jacques, Flip, and Mills
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Favorite Co-Star(s)
Ben Affleck blows absolutely everyone else out of the water! "Come In! Take your pants off!"
Bill Murray and John David Washington are runners up, and I loved Jeremy Irons in Gucci.
Favorite Love Interest(s)
None so far! Rey and Hanna are my absolute least favorites. I hate them, honestly. Jodie Cromer was my favorite female lead in one of his movies. Lady Gaga and Marion Cottilard were alright too. I like Scarlett Johannson the best as a stand alone actress, but I hated her character in Marriage Story. I anticipate liking Aubrey Plaza
Favorite Scene(s)
Jousting and kicking ass are hard to beat!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Favorite Sex Scene(s)
All the scenes from Last Duel! I don't care how offensive that is!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This scene from The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Girls seasons 5 and 6 were hard to beat. The couch scene in season 5 is pretty nice.
Favorite SNL Skit(s)
Slow for obvious reasons.

Undercover Boss Part 2

Dream Role(s)
I got a Knight with Jacques and an Action Hero with Mills, both of which were high on my list. I'd love to see him as a Vampire, a Dark Victorian Gentleman, an Old West Gunfighter, an Adventurer, and a John Wick style Hitman or Action Hero.
Oh, and he needs to be his actual age and not have goddamn face prosthetics, altered hairlines, or terrible fucking haircuts!
Tumblr media
Dream Co-Star(s)
Love Interests: Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Margot Robbie, Ana De Armas, and Lily Rose Depp for size kink purposes.
Co-Stars: Another hot guy like Goran Visnjic or Gerard Butler. Keanu Reeves would also be a blast.

fluff. kate bishop blurb. bubbline🏹
was thinking of you n kate watching adventure time and at every episode where marceline and princess bubblegum show up together she’d point at the tv and yell, “that’s us!”
that one episode where marcie was on stage and threw her shirt to pb which gave kate the urge to do the same back. she took the shirt she was wearing off and threw it at you once you came back from your bathroom break
kate then awed when jake revealed the shirt thinking it was marcie’s but it was really pb’s and poor girl had the same reaction as marcie when pb said it was her fav shirt to sleep in
when coming up with couples halloween costumes of course bubbeline was her first thought, but she wanted to be pb even though you immediately told her she gave marceline vibes to which she just glared and pouted
but you caved and let her be princess bubblegum, you ordered the correct colored wigs and got the outfits you wanted. you had a red letterman jacket with the letter M embroidered while she had a white collared shirt and blue jeans with some boots
and of course kate said you had to recreate the moment pb laid her head against marcie’s shoulder while making clint take as many pictures as he possibly could while he just muttered about not knowing who the fuck you guys were dressed as
when watching the episode where marcie was having a dream of her and pb growing old together, that led to her thinking of being old grandmas together with a house full of dogs
after watching the entirety of the show and made it to the finale where marcie thought pb died and was filled with rage and killed the thing that killed her but turned out she was fine. it had kate thinking she’d do the exact thing for you without a second thought because you were her world and she’d be an absolute goner without you
——
(the beautiful compilation. I had the cute idea of the halloween part a few days ago but I just expanded a lil)

Chapter 1 - An Old Friend Emerges
Tumblr media
Count Down to Christmas  / The Adventure of Y/n Barton and Yelena Belova
Summary: It was supposed to be a nice family vacation in New York City. But when you turn on the TV to see the name of the man that stole your father from you for 5 years, you remember things aren’t simple for your family.
Word Count: 2.2k
Warning: Angst, Clint and Reader have issues they need to talk about lol, Canon style violence,
New York City
You were exhausted as you opened the hotel door and kicked off your boots. New York City has been the place you’ve called home more than half your life. But the city during Christmas time was an absolute nightmare. This trip was your mom’s idea; for you, your siblings, and Clint to spend time together. It has been a crazy few years. With the Blip taking 5 years away from every member of your family in some aspect and you disappearing for the better part of 2024 to finish your education and figure out what the hell was next. The trip wasn’t bad. The dinner was good and the musical was weird, a little inaccurate. Now all you wanted to do was sleep. You flopped on the couch and turned on the TV. “It’s a little late for TV, guys. I’ve gotta pack.” You ignored him as Cooper and Lila sat on either side of you. It was on the local news. You turned up the volume as breaking news flashed across the bottom of the screen.
“We are following a breaking news story. A high society gala was rocked by an explosion when it went off at Park Avenue and 68th Street tonight.” The news changed to NYPD cars in front of the Gala. “The cause of the explosion is still under investigation. But witnesses captured cell phone footage of a masked assailant fleeing the scene.” You rolled your eyes, everyone in this damn city wanted to be a superhero. Lila laughed next to you. The TV changed to a horrible quality cell phone footage.
“Check it out,” Lila said. “A ninja saved a dog.” Clint finally looked up at the TV. It wasn’t a ninja. Your blood turned to ice as you watched the masked individual run through traffic after a golden retriever.
“Authorities believe the assailant could be the Ronin…” It froze on a still frame of the Ronin outfit. The world around you went quiet. The news caster’s voice and your siblings talking became white noise. You looked at your father who finally looked away from the TV and at you. Yeah, it was going to be an interesting Christmas.
*
You waited. It was only a matter of time before he snuck out of his room after everyone went to bed. You sipped on a glass of water, lost in your thoughts. Ronin. It was a name you tried not to think about for the past few months. Ronin. The name of the man your father became to deal with the Blip. Ronin. Ronin. Ronin. The door of Clint’s room opened and closed quietly. “Off to play hero.” You said as he rounded the corner. He didn’t even seem surprised to see you.
“You should be in bed.” He said. You shook your head, finishing the last of your water.
“I’m coming with you.” He stared at you as you stood up to put on your jacket.
“Are you out of your mind?” He asked. You put your finger to your lips reminding him to keep his voice down so he didn’t wake the others. “You need to stay here where it’s safe.”
“Oh now you care about my safety.” You bite back. You took a step closer to him. “The Ronin stole you from me for 5 years and now someone is wearing that stupid costume to bring him back. I deserve to see this through.” He didn’t say anything. “Besides, someone has to watch your six, old man. You aren’t as agile as you once were.” You joked, a teasing smile dancing on your lips. Clint’s jaw clenched.
“Fine but if your mother asks about this you will have to deal with her on your own.” You wanted to come back with, you’ve been doing stuff on your own since you were 17 but now didn’t seem like the time to hash out differences. You smiled.
“Something tells me she may be on my side with this one.” You said, opening the door. “Shall we?”
*
Clint didn’t have a plan. He determined the best place to start was the gala and follow the trail of violence. The Ronin made a lot of enemies over the years and the news of his return was going to spark every mob, gangster, and bounty hunter to look for him. Great , you thought as you flew over the streets of New York City. You didn’t use your abilities often and when you did it was in the case of making someone smile or laugh not fighting. During the Battle of New York when your father went MIA, you used it a lot to distract Cooper and Lila so they wouldn’t worry. You noticed a fight break out on one of the side streets. You flew back down and changed back as you landed next to Clint. “There is a fight over there.” You said. You both took off in that direction.
“Don’t do anything dangerous.” You rolled your eyes. You fought against Thanos, taking on some street thugs was going to be a piece of cake. Three men in red track suits were circling the car. “Take out the one on the hood and I’ll get the other 2.” He ordered. You nodded, breaking out into a sprint. By the time you were at the back of the car, you turned into a German Shepherd. You jumped on the hood of the car and threw yourself at the man. He landed on the street with a hard smack. You bared your teeth at him to deter him from standing up but he pushed you off. Clint joined you in the front of the car, you were surrounded by the 3 men. “I thought I said to take care of him.” He said. You barked at him saying, ‘I could say the same thing to you. ’ It happened in a flash, the man in front of you charged forward. Screw this. You changed back into your normal self. The man was startled by the change in your appearance. It was all you needed. You punched him in the face and he stumbled backwards. You grabbed onto his shoulders and kneed him in the nose. He fell to the ground, holding onto his face as blood covered his hand. You faced your father, his two guys were slumped on the ground in equal levels of pain. He opened the door of the car and dragged the ‘Ronin’ out and down a nearby alley.
“Hey wait up.” You called out. The masked assailant struggled against your father’s hold. He pushed them up against the wall and ripped off the mask. Your jaw dropped. Tonight was full of surprises. You were not expecting to see a young brunette girl underneath the mask.
“Come on,” Clint said, taking a step back.
“You’re…you’re Hawkeye.” You smiled at the shocked look on the girl’s face.
“And who the hell are you?” He asked. Instead of answering, her eyes left your father and landed on you.
“Are you a dog that turns into a human?” She asked. You laughed.
“More like a human that turns into other animals.” You clarified. The girl looked familiar to you, you just couldn’t place it. Her eyes got wider. “Since you know him, I’m Y/n. His kid.” You were pretty sure the girl was going to faint. Yup, it was going to be a very interesting Christmas.
*
Saint Petersburg, Russia
Natasha was sitting on her bed looking down at her phone. Her and Wanda were spending some time with Alexei and Melina before leaving for Iowa to spend Christmas with the Bartons. For a little more than a year, she stayed out of the public eye to heal from her short trip with death. It was relaxing, eyes opening, and healing. But she was seeing rumors that she was actually dead and that Steve was on the moon (she didn’t understand that one). “Are you all packed, Natalia?” Melina asked, opening the door. Natasha put her phone in her pocket.
“Yes, where’s Wanda?” She asked. The older Russian sighed.
“In the kitchen with Alexei. She’s teaching him how to make chicken paprikash.” Natasha rolled her eyes. “When will you be back?” Natasha noticed a change in Melina’s behavior since she told her adoptive mother the story on how they brought everyone back. She was clingy, if that was even a world one could use to describe a Black Widow.
“Probably not till the new year,” Melina nodded. “Mama,” Natasha said slowly. The name was still something she was getting used to calling the older Black Widow. “Have you heard from Yelena?”
“Just check in from her to let me know she’s safe.” Natasha nodded. “She’ll come around.” Melina kissed Natasha on the forehead and left. She wasn’t so sure about that. The redhead took her phone out and stared at the call log from her sister. It was all Natasha called her, every call got sent straight to voicemail. She didn’t even know if Yelena was listening or deleting them. Natasha used some of her remaining contacts and found out that her sister was working for Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, which wasn’t great. She sighed and was transported back to that day she came back.

“Natasha.” You said. Your eyes were wide and the color drained from your face. Natasha didn’t feel much better. Her stomach was still doing somersaults and her body ached as if she got hit by a truck. Well in her case, a very hard ground. She stepped off the platform with the help of Steve. She feared her legs were going to give out. As her feet the grass you took a step back. “He said it couldn’t be undone. I don’t understand. How is she here?” You asked, looking at the super soldier.
“When I returned the soul stone, the soul stone gave us something back.” Natasha sat down on the platform, the world around her was beginning to spin.
“What’s going on?” Clint asked. The commotion was drawing a small crowd. Bruce was at her side checking over her as Clint gasped. “That’s impossible.” You spun around to see the shocked faces of your father, mom, and siblings. You took a tentative step forward, kneeling before the Black Widow. Natasha smiled.
“Hey malen'kiy yastreb (little hawk).” Her throat was killing her. She desperately needed water. You pulled her into a tight hug. Natasha held back the pained whimper that threatened to escape. But she didn’t care. Your arms wrapped around her, grounded her.
“Don’t do that to me.” You said. You pulled out of the hug but kept her in arms distance. Natasha watched the tears fall from your eyes. “I’m so mad at you. You can’t do that to me, Nat. You can’t leave me, okay?” Natasha nodded.
“Okay,” she whispered, whipping away your tears. “I’m right here.” She couldn’t promise you anything because her life was full of uncertainties. But you accepted her answer and took a step back to allow the rest of your family to give them a chance to say hello. Clint was last and when his wife stepped away he lifted Natasha off the ground from his hug.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled. Even through her tech suit, Natasha felt his tears. “I’m so fucking sorry.” The Black Widow closed her eyes, feeling her own eyes swell up with tears.
“It’s okay,” she said. “I told you it was okay.” She ignored the pain in her body as she squeezed the man who was the closest thing she had to a brother. She opened her eyes and looked over his shoulder as Wanda and Yelena came over to join the group. Natasha let go of Clint and stared at her girlfriend and sister. 5 years. 5 long fucking years, she waited and dreamed of this moment. Wanda was the first to move. She closed the distance between her and the Black Widow and cupped Natasha’s face in her hands.
“You're real, right?” Wanda asked. Her voice was soft. “You're not in my head.” Natasha nodded.
“I’m real, dorogoy. I’m here.” Wanda sobbed, bringing their lips together. The kiss was soft and salty from her tears but Natasha cherished it. She missed the feeling of her girlfriend’s lips against hers. The Black Widow ended the kiss and looked at her sister. Her expression was unreadable. “Yelena.” Natasha said. The blonde shook her head and walked away.

That was the last time Natasha saw her sister. You filled her in on the week she missed while she was ‘dead’ and how much her death affected Yelena. The blonde stopped talking to everyone that had to do with the Avengers, she even ignored calls from you. Natasha dialed her number. It rang once and went straight to voicemail. “Hey sestra,” Natasha said. “I know I’m the last person you want to talk to but,” she sighed. “I miss you. Wanda and I are going to Iowa to spend Christmas there and I’d love to see you there. I know I’m not the only one.” She paused. “Me and you, sestra. No one will get between us, okay? Take care of yourself and call me back, please.” She hung up the phone and hit the device against her leg.
“Are you ready to go?” Wanda’s voice called out. She looked around the small room with a sigh.
“Yeah, I’m ready.”

the marvels spoilers!!
- i missed carol so much 😭😭 i was so happy to see her again!! however, as a delusional caroljess shipper, this movie made me realize how much i want jessica drew in the mcu but the chances are slim
- is earth really the best choice for those skrulls to stay on after secret invasion???? the US president hates them and is also hunting them down just like the kree. but lol fury should've just asked new asgard to take them in during secret invasion instead of creating a giant mess and then ditching them
(i hope this means a certain mr teddy altman was among the skrull refugees who fled to earth but i'm just grasping at straws at this point)
- it's pretty funny that nia dacosta decided to ignore everything from secret invasion and we should too since i KNOW fury never brought up that he harvested carol's DNA. it would've made the movie much more awkward
- the khans and fury were way too funny together. muneeba was great, as always 🫶🏽 the best aunty
- the poor SABER agents escaping via FLURKITTIES lmaoo
- THE PRINCESS CAROL DRESS
- i can only imagine nakia and bruno's reactions when they find out about kamala's adventures
- carol and sam both live in louisiana now!! neighbors
- kamala and carol are so CUTE! they're twinsies ♥️
- carol restarting a sun...damn. i do wish more emphasis was placed on that since thor nearly died trying to restart nidavellir's sun
- no binary form though? :(
- the villain was kinda boring and i don't really understand the whole quantum bands connection with the noor dimension thing
- KAYT BEESHUP AHHHH
- not kate trying to act cool as if she and kamala don't have the same energy when speaking with their avenger idols (clint and carol should meet)
- but kamala channelling fury lol
- kate needs to get better security though since people keep breaking in into her apartment. first yelena and now kamala
- i don't necessarily want peter on the mcu young avengers/champions team, but i do want him to meet them. kamala found out about kate and cassie so she can find peter, an actual teenage avenger, too
- BEAST BEAST BEAST
- maria as BINARY!!!!
- the suit looked pretty cheap though, which sucks because the binary suit is one of my fav carol outfits from the comics.
- is maria in the fox universe or is it just a "x-men" universe??? anyway it's not 838 for sure since professor x and maria are both alive. however, it would be pretty funny for monica to visit 838 post-MoM since she tried so hard to help wanda and then wanda murdered her mom rip
- carol and kamala are both gutted about monica getting trapped in another universe, but america chavez can get her back pretty easily if they knew she existed. hmm, looks like kamala needs to find another young superhero
overall: 7.5/10

Being a young former Black Widow and forming a team with Shuri, Kate, Elijah, Joaquin, and Kid Loki would look like:
To be honest you weren’t to fazed with the idea of forming a team with the younger crowd of up and coming superheroes. Sure you had been friends with Shuri since 2018 and met the others through Sam, Clint, and Thor, but the idea of creating a team like the Avengers never crossed your mind until Shuri proposed the idea. “Ain’t that Val lady forming her own team? Or Secretary Ross is, they’re calling them the Thunderbolts? Yelena was telling me about it—anyway, point is if there’s already a new team of heroes then why make our own?” “Calling them heroes is a little…far fetched if we’re being honest. They are more like the Dark Avengers—and no I was not trying to make a joke. You look at who she’s recruiting and it’s literally that. Think of us as their antithesis.”
It didn’t take much convincing after that with you literally going, “Fuck it. Let’s do it—might actually give me shit to do now that the world has gone to shit trying to get back to the way it was.” Within the hour you were pulling up to a hangar to meet the others. They all looked excited except Kid Loki. He looked rather annoyed being there—really it was Thor’s idea to have him join to keep him out of trouble. “It was either this or join him in his adventures across space. Frankly I’d rather stay in one place after escaping the Void.”
Considering you all are some of the most powerful and intelligent kids on the planet, there is bound to be some restrictions. Likely y’all would be staying at Avengers compound or create your own base camp but there would still be oversight. If Fury is not dealing with the Kree then he and Maria are who y’all report to. Other than them, the veteran Avengers tend to look after you guys—like Sam and Clint. “So since you’re now Captain America and you’re technically retired, does that make Torres the Falcon and Bishop Hawkeye?” “If that’s what they want to go by. You’re still called Black Widow aren’t ya?” “Touché”
So there you have it. Shuri: The Black Panther, Joaquin: the Flacon, You: the Black Widow, Kate: Hawkeye, Kid Loki, & Elijah: The Patriot.
As expected you’re a rambunctious group of heroes. Sometimes y’all find yourselves in trouble when you weren’t planning on it. Trouble just finds you guys 90% of the time. Agent Everett Ross has a whole supply of advil because keeping track of you all gives him a headache. “You’re job was to get it, get the intel, and get the hell out of there. What went wrong?” “Well…….as you can see um….yeah I have no explanation. Shuri you got anything?” “Nope. Torres, you?” “I can’t even remember what we were doing there.”
One time on a mission you guys actually ran into the Thunderbolts and it was quite the scene. First of all you and Yelena were like, “Hey sis! What are you doing here?” Meanwhile Bucky was scolding Elijah & Torres and Walker was getting annoyed with Kid Loki’s tricks. Kate just looked out of place while Shuri was trying to calm everyone down, “It seems there has been a misunderstanding. Unless….it was the plan for all of us to be here.” “What are you saying, Shuri?” “I believe our teams were set up, white wolf. Why else would both of us be called to the same place, for the same exact thing, on the same day?”
Having a genius like Shuri on your team meant you guys were equipped with some of the best technological advances than anyone else. Even the Thunderbolts were envious of y’all’s artillery. Not only did Joaquin get an upgrade on his falcon wings, but Kate got high tech trick arrows, Elijah a vibranium shield, kid Loki with a scepter and you got some additions to your Widow’s bite and suit. “Shit, I feel like I could take down even Thanos with these.” “Try not to show them off to much, Widow. Secretary Ross is still trying to get me to develop stuff for the Thunderbolts and i’ve given him the impression I’m not even advancing our weaponry. So..keep it on the down low.”
After some time as a team, you guys would recruit Kamala Khan, RiRi Williams and Cassie Lang as y’all’s Ms. Marvel, IronHeart & Stinger. Peter Parker would eventually join, bringing in his buddy Ned and America Chavez who were Masters of The Mystic Arts. The team grew so large y’all could actually split you guys up when multiple missions came in. With their initiation, Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel, and Scott Lang joined Sam, Clint, Fury, Ross, and Hill as ‘chaperones’.
“So what do we call ourselves?” “The Young Avengers.” “Isn’t that a derivative?” “Yeah, but it sounds less menacing than Dark Avengers or the Thunderbolts. I mean we are Avengers…just we’re young so it fits.” “True…”
