I am not re-entering my Hunger Games era for twenty year old self. I am entering it for the third or fourth grade me that was reading it and mid-book saw a teacher (my future 5th grade teacher) in my school being my envision of Katniss for Halloween. I am entering it for the young me that was reading while walking up and down the Aldi aisles and for the young me that curled up at my great grandmother’s and escaped the world through reading. I am returning to Panem as my younger self that was too innocent to fully comprehend the trials and battles Katniss faced. I’m reading and watching the movies despite upcoming exams. I am doing it for her: the girl who would cry to see how far we’ve come, bonded by the same world of Suzanne Collins.

I hope that with Justice League and Justice League Unlimited now on Netflix, more people of all genders and ages can get the experience of watching the DCAU. The animated series are not only targeted for kids but can be enjoyed at all ages. I hope with the return of some DCAU shows on Netflix, young kids not yet introduced to good quality superhero shows will get a chance to watch and enjoy the show. I was the kid that was addicted to these shows and distinctly remember watching JL: Unlimited way past my bedtime on my DS. I hope people can get the same joys and experiences I get when watching.

Do you know what makes me laugh? The fact that a show about these two, one being the King that the US overthrew during the American Revolution, was more popular than the actual royal and modern British coronation to view on TV.
