Just a heads up, my works on AO3 have been set to registered users only. This was a difficult decision to make and I'm not happy with it, but right now I'm just not comfortable with the data scraping that's going on. I might change my mind in the future.
For anyone who enjoyed reading them as a guest, I genuinely apologize and hope that soon things will change and I can make my work available to everyone again.

I always imagine that he doesn’t have to, Clark knows him so well that every so often he just sends Bruce a text that reads: “Everyone’s alright.”
And Bruce knows what it means, and never even answers it because he doesn’t have to, they both know each other that well.
do u guys think Bruce has ever called Clark in the middle of the night and asked him to listen for Jason’s heartbeat to assure him that he’s alive

“So.” Jason announced, hopping off the table and walking over to the chair that was off to the side of the computer. “I want to talk about the other week when I had a meltdown.”
He said it a little more loudly than he wanted, and shit, why did he always do that when trying to talk to Bruce about important shit?
Summary: Jason has questions about some things Bruce said.
My Notes:
This is part of an old series I had started called These Little Conversations (you should probably read those first to really get this story).
I’d given up on it a few years ago because of some unkind comments people had left on the last story in the series. I decided to hell with it, they’re allowed not to like it, but I'm allowed to enjoy writing it and am going to publish the last couple I had sitting around on my laptop.
I’ve always been intrigued by what Jason and Bruce’s relationship could have been like with writers who stayed at least somewhat on point with Bruce’s personality as a father. That said, I’ve obviously added my own bend to this au because - well its a fanfic lol

Bruce and Hal's relationship is so interesting to me. They hate each other. They understand each other on such a deep, specific level. Bruce will kick Hal in his knees if he opens his mouth. They would die for each other in a heartbeat. Hal will throw himself into space if Bruce touches his arm but they definitely almost kissed once. They're as close as two friends can be. If they make eye contact for .5 seconds it's on sight. They can't stand to be anywhere near each other. They hate being apart for too long. They're both gay.

The problem with being a younger sibling is that it’s very hard to get away with something. There’s very little your older siblings haven’t already done and prepared your parents for.
Especially if your older siblings are Dick Grayson and Jason Todd.
Especially if your parent is Batman.

Tim: I'm not saying I don't agree with you -
Jason: You're just saying Dick told you you weren't allowed to let me?
Tim: Got it in one.

*heated debate ends between Bruce and Clark and everyone leaves quickly in relief once Clark's idea wins*
Diana: You agreed with Clark's plan from the start.
Bruce: Yes.
Diana: You made up an entirely fictional idea just to argue with him. Why?
Bruce: Because then he thinks I sometimes agree with him, meaning when I really need him to, he'll feel obligated to agree with me for a turn.
Diana: And you just...thought of this?
Bruce: Don't be ridiculous. It was Lois' idea.

*watching as Bruce absolutely fails to interact like a normal person when caught off guard*
Jason: Sometimes he's so God damn stupid that I can't.
Dick: Neither can anyone else, that's the singular reason his secret identity is still intact.
