I, Mod Maki will now be taking requests for Twisted Wonderland works! I’ve been getting into the game for a while now and I really want to try writing for it.

Disclaimers: Mod Celeste hasn’t played the game so I will be the only one writing for TWST in this blog. Also, I haven’t finished the Ignihyde arc yet so I apologize for any inaccuracies involving whatever happens there and please don’t spoil anything for me.

We have a special announcement for our annual celebration about our favorite couple! While we usually arrange Colloyd Week for a full seven days, we've decided to focus on the ship day specifically, which is typically celebrated by JP fans for Lloyd/Colette. (Also known as ロイコレの日). This year, we wanted to arrange a Wedding theme for Colloyd Day for June 15, 2024!

Just like our past events, you can participate with any sorts of fanworks (including fanart, fanfiction, graphics, AMVs, crafting, etc.) For this year, you can share your works by using the tags #colloydday or #colloydday2024.

We wanted to focus on a wedding theme this year to show the possible future for Lloyd and Colette to celebrate their relationship, and believe a single-day event would be more feasible. As always though, you can interpret the theme however you'd like, or use prompts from previous years instead, as long as it is a celebration of the ship!

The blue light from Isagi’s phone killed the darkness that swallowed Kaiser’s room. The light fell on the walls, making them as white as ghosts and cast shadows as dark as the ocean.

An ocean will separate us again soon enough.

Isagi killed the light, and the wide clinical expanse disappeared. He embraced the darkness that closed in on him like a warm blanket, hiding him from the big bright world that lay beyond. Here, it was just Isagi. Just Isagi and Kaiser.

With Kaiser pressed up against Isagi’s back, his unkempt strands snaked through the sheets and tickled Isagi’s chin. Kaiser’s snores were light and ceaseless, tickling the nape of Isagi’s neck. One snort synced with a heavy sigh that escaped Isagi’s throat.

Has it already been five months?

Kaiser wouldn’t make the breakup announcement until a few weeks later, but the fifth month marked the beginning of the end. To the faithful fans online, it would appear as though their beloved “Kaisagi” were in the throes of a long-distance relationship. Little would they know it was over for good.

It’s not like it was ever real in the first place. We’ll still see each other after this, won’t we? It’s all part of the job.

Still, this would be the last night Isagi spent in this room. He hated it at first with how uselessly large and boring it was. Now, Isagi hoped the sun would stay below the horizon. May it never rise and seep through Kaiser’s stupidly expensive blinds.

Let me stay here. Let me stay with you.

He would never say those words aloud. Not for fear of waking Kaiser; God knows that man can sleep through anything. No, Isagi could never bring himself to admit something so vulnerable—so pathetic—especially not to Kaiser. Kaiser had too much to use against Isagi. This whole arrangement was a massive favour Isagi would spend the rest of his life struggling to repay. He could just imagine the stupid smirk on Kaiser’s face if Isagi ever caved in.

What? Don’t tell me you’ve fallen for me for real. I was just trying to be nice. What would I do if my favourite step stone lost his whole career over a stupid thing he said online?

Isagi turned his phone back on. These past five months have been built on pure lies. Just this once, let me tell you something real.

Now we ring in the annual bat chess tournament.

Round 1 goes as such:

[Alfred v Damian] Three draws until Alfred took the W. Wisdom really does wonders.

[Bruce v Tim] Nerd on nerd defensive play until Tim gets ahead in material and narrowly closes the deal.

[Dick v Steph] Stephanie cramming four hours of chess theory a day off competitive adrenaline for the last week paid off and check mate.

[Harper v Comish Gordon] Gordon was not aware chess was this complicated. Harper leads.

[Luke v Harley] Luke loses on time because he’s not used to having to click the clock and forgets during Harley’s mid game rambling.

[Duke v Talia] Duke also did not prepare and he traded too much material without knowing how to checkmate on low stock. Talia slides the win.

[Cass v Selina] Quiet and slow game running the time low for both of them. Comes down to who can walk their pawns to promote faster and Cass stays one square ahead.

[Jason v Barbara] Tension is rising and Babs knows Jason’s nerdage has collected him too much chess knowledge for her to beat him on pure skill. However, emotional manipulation is a viable strategy. He throws the board and is disqualified. He then leaves to take Damian and Duke for ice cream.

Round two 🔔🔔🔔

[Alfred v Tim] Strong opening by Tim suggesting either the Catalan or Queen’s Gambit. Alfred keeps his dark square bishop safe and ready to counter. It’s a close match, but Tim misses the line and blunders a queen. Cut to a few moves later with a mate in three and Tim resigns.

[Steph v Harper] They mutually agree they’d rather do bullet instead. A nasty knight placement gives Steph the change to clear a helluva lot of material right before the clock clicks.

[Harley v Talia] While entertaining a nice conversation about their lovely sons, a rook/queen mate seals the deal and Talia continues. Harley then steals a quarter of all the boys ice cream.

[Cass v Barbara] Cass pulls a slick queen trap into a bait and switch. W Cass.

Final round 🔔🔔🔔!!!

You may be thinking, there’s 4 people left, how is this the final round. When the bats are good at chess so it’s time things take a turn. This year the final round is four way chess. Harley takes the mic to announce the game and the rest negotiate bughouse teams after the game is over.

Alfred pushes his pawns for a more aggressive approach with Steph taking him up on the quick trades. Talia slips into a bishop/queen/pawn line breaking into Steph castle while she was busy. Cass is going defensive on the knights with a nice fianchetto to prepare for action; she’s going material over mates to start. Alfred and Steph are weak from trading making them desperate and easy to beat out in the long run. Alfred and Cass take a combined attack on Talia and Steph jumps in. As the clock runs out Steph is mated and Talia in a rough check. Tick. Tick. Tick. And right before time Cass makes a sweep on the remainder of material to secure the win.

She smiles as if it was all natural talent knowing full well she’s been reviewing chess theory and their personalities and strategies to create the best plan of attack and secure this years trophy after last years out in the first round fiasco.

Good games all around and chess pieces on the floor.

This may just be me but I really don’t like it when people ask Louis and Harry about Larry? Like I know it’s real and am a Larry but I always feel so bad for them because like if they are free to say something (and want to) they will announce ASAP, asking them won’t change that. If they are legally unable to say something then asking them is just making them deny it more and I feel really bad for them. Like I know we meme the ObViOuSlY thing all the time but like imagine how hard it must be for them to constantly deny their love. They’re forced to lie a lot. I’m not blaming the fans this is entirely fucking s*mon 🐄 🔔s fault. This might also have to do with my uncomfyness surrounding asking people about their relationships in general because it could be an invasion of privacy. Idk, what do you think?

Definitely not just you, anon. I think it's incredibly rude trying to "forcing them" to say or do something. Even to a couple that is out and completely free to say whatever they want, you don't ask people about their relationship because that's not your problem lol One thing is to speculate, support and talk about it online, and another thing completely different is to address them directly, comment under their pictures, send messages to friends/family. It's definitely crossing the line. Not to mention you're outing them when you do that, which again, is not your decision to make.

Do you guys remember when the girl made them hold hands on the meet & greet in 2015? That was super subtle and they seemed (more than) fine with it, but that's something I'd personally never do. I was a bit shocked when it happened. Because why in the world would you create a situation where you left them no choice? It's not up to any of us, you know?
