the ghosts make you three snacks and introduce you to a whole bunch of old board games

you show him all the cool old trinkets and clothes that are hidden in ramshackle

hide and seek is def one of your favorite games

you almost always win, knowing where all the crawl spaces and hidden rooms are ramshackle really gives you a one up.

He always sees his parents give each other presents so he wanted to give you some too

so you get a bunch of cute childish presents like some of his toys, some baked goods he made with his parents

omg! could you imagine Yuu and Cheka playing in the ramshackle garden during the springtime and Cheka shows Yuu how to make flower crowns

and they make them for each other all the time!!!

I've seen imagines and small writings floating around about mc/Yuu knowing or being aware of versions of the twst boys in their world but imagine if they're actually siblings or related in one way or another!!

Like imagine some of the boys thinking y/n looks familiar but not being able to understand WHY!?

People are shocked y/n can deal with (twst boy)’s tendencies so easily like they did it a thousand times before. Because some of the boys share similar or exact same tendencies as their world's version!

Y/n knowing but holding off on telling them to not freak them out!

Y/n going out of their way to hang out with the twst boy that is the alternate version of their sibling/relative cause THEY FEEL LIKE HOME! THEY MISS THEIR FAMILY!!

Obviously with some of the boys Y/n was thrown off when first meeting them due to stuff like the intensity of hair or eye colors that are unnatural in their world or traits like animal features, horns, teeth, fire hair, or merforms.

Y/n and Deuce’s first serious sibling fight when Deuce bleached his hair cause Y/n Spade's favorite thing is that Mom, Deuce and them all had the exact same hair shade and was broken hearted when they saw his hair.

Y/n Spade being another reason that Deuce finally stops the deliquest stuff after he hears his mom and grandma talking, cause they started sobbing uncontrollably when he came home all beat up.

Deuce who gets his shit together and not only wants to be an honor student for his Ma but also to be a good role model for his sibling.

Y/n who is Leona and Falena’s youngest sibling.

Falena being a little disgruntled because y/n always preferred Leona.

Y/n Kingscolar who limits Leona’s naps to only a few times a day to help him be productive (much to his chagrin).

(Half-Sibling) Y/n Ashengrotto

Y/n Ashengrotto with light brown hair and light blue eyes.

Y/n Ashengrotto who was born from Azul’s Mom’s second marriage.

Azul is uncertain about having a younger sibling for a while after the birth but realizes in his little child mind that Y/n is family and they probably won't bully him when they get older.

Azul grows to love his younger sibling and Y/n’s first word being Zuzu.

Y/n getting older (like 5 or 6) and finding out why their brother is so sad when he comes home from school and now has a vendetta against the bullies at Zuzu’s school.

Y/n thinking that Leech twins are the bullies when they first meet (cause they were teasing Zuzu) and kicks them hard enough to bring them down. Much to the horror of the Ashengrotto family and the amusement of the Leech family.

(said incident leads to Y/n being Floyd’s favorite)

Y/n Ashengrotto who happily plays along with Azul’s schemes, but also reassures him they love him and he doesn't have to push himself.

Y/n Leech with Jade’s eye heterochromia (dark brown, light brown) and Floyd’s hair mutation (black strand placement, on brown hair)

Y/n who either just gets called just Y/n or lil’ eel by Floyd

12 year old Vil who was very disappointed in his father when he brought home a baby sibling that was the outcome from a one night stand he had 9 months ago.

Mom didn't want the child and gave Papa Schoenheit full custody.

Vil takes awhile to bond with Y/n, but when they bond Y/n cries when Vil is out of sight for too long.

Y/n having to be brought on a movie/tv/photo set on occasion.

Vil carries around little Y/n when there are breaks on set, which gives people another option on Vil.

Vil whose jealousy of Neige dulls because he knows that no matter what anyone says or what roles he’s given. He will always feel like the fairest one of all when his sibling gives him that completely starstruck expression, that is reserved for him and his father.

Vil who fights his father tooth and nail to keep Y/n Schoenheit out of the spotlight when they get older. He loves his baby sibling too much to let the entertainment industry fuck them up like it did him.

Y/n Schoenheit who knows knows the best ways to take care of themselves cause of Vil (make-up, hair, skincare)

(twin siblings) Y/n Felmier

Y/n Felmier who has dirty blond hair and blue-green eyes just like their brother.

Epel and Y/n Felmier are inseparable, basically joined at the hip.

The double trouble absolute troublemaking gremlins

They always have eachothers back but when they fight it's like cats and dogs.

Y/n Felmier who loves the farm but also has one of those small town to big city dreams.

Y/n Felmier who has more feminine hobbies compared to Epel.

Y/n Felimer whose dreams of going to the big city always sets Epel off, cause it feels like they're trying to abandon the family and farm to him.

Y/n Felmier who despite having a more feminine nature then Epel WILL back him up in a fight without hesitation.

(Middle Sibling) Y/n Shroud

Y/n Shroud who has dark brown (nearly black) hair and brown eyes like her brothers! BUT their hair is dyed the same shade of blue!

There is only a year difference between the siblings' ages: Idia born first, Y/n the year after, and Ortho the year after them.

If Idia is the moon and Ortho is the sun, then Y/n Shroud are the stars!

Idia is the introvert, Ortho is the extrovert, and Y/n is the ambivert.

Y/n Shroud is the perfect balance of their siblings and their brothers are grateful.

Idia adores them both and tries to spoil them rotten.

(there is no family curse but there is unfortunately a history of depression in the family which hits Idia the most out of the siblings)

Y/n Shroud is the one who has to remind Ortho during Idia’s down times that their brother is not ignoring them on purpose and just needs some time to himself.

Sibling trips to anime conventions! Group cosplays!

All siblings started dying their hair blue when Idia was 17, Y/n was 16, and Ortho was 15.

Mama and Papa Shroud were very startled when they came home to see all three of their children not only bleached but dyed their hair bright blue. (The siblings shared bathroom was DESTROYED)

Y/n Draconia who is a carbon copy of Levan with brown hair and amber eyes. (in contrast to Malleus being a mini Meleanor.)

The Draconia family is definitely an old money family, probably descended from royalty.

Malleus was 5 when Y/n was born and was so excited he has a cute little sibling now!

A common occurrence is when Levan or Meleanor go to get the baby (to feed them or something) and the baby is gone! Malleus has taken the baby to show them his favorite gargoyles around the gothic manor.

Big brother Malleus who throws a tantrum when he has to go to school cause he wants to stay at home with the baby!

Big brother Malleus who at night sneaks out of his room and goes to the babies room and curls up in the crib with them.

Y/n Draconia who loves their weird big brother with all their little heart!

Unfortunately Malleus and Y/n grow up very emotionally dependent on each other for various reasons. (parents away on business, lack of friends, etcetera.)

If you see one the other isn't far behind.

UNCLE LILIA!

Their BOTH are obsessed with Gargoyles!

Y/n Draconia who is the only one who can calm down Malleus temper tantrums.

Y/n Draconia who gives off princess vibes!

(Adopted sibling/child) Y/n Vanrouge

Y/n Vanrouge with red hair and blue eyes. (and ends up dying it black and red later down the line)

Y/n Vanrouge who came into Lilia’s care when Silver was 2!

Y/n Vanrouge with Punk dad Lilia in the first years of their life along with big brother Silver.

Y/n Vanrouge who trails after her brother and his loud friend whenever they can.

Y/n Vanrouge who is taught how to help whenever Silver has a narcolepsy attack.

Silver Vanrouge who will happily let his little sibling hold his hand whenever they want.

Lilia dropped his punk aesthetic when his kids were pre-teens.

Y/n Vanrouge finds Lilia’s old clothes when they are 15 and steals them. Lilia is amused when he comes home to Silver helping his sibling dye their hair black and red (general Lilia hair).

Y/n Vanrouge who takes up cooking (for the safety of the household) and finds out they rather enjoy it!

Silver is grateful!!!

Lilia Vanrouge who was thrown into fatherhood head first but absolutely adores his baby bats.

Leona x Idia Headcannon because why not

So the Afterglow Savannah event (Sorry I don’t know how to spell the name) shows an interesting conflict Leona goes through.

Leona wants to add technology to the Savannah, he wants his people to have the advanced stuff most other places have. Falena, however, objects this, saying he wants the Savannah to be close to nature. And since everyone in the Savannah loves to give Leona the middle finger, they’re on Falena’s side.

I’m guessing this is supposed to reference how Africa is not as technologically advanced as other places. Now reality is that Africa is not devoid of technology. They have cars and phones and airports and all that fun stuff. Hell, even Afterglow Savannah has cars. I’m guessing the problem is that the Savannah is still needing some technology that others places have been having ages ago, and Leona wants the Savannah to have this. Think of Leona how you will, but this man genuinely cares about his kingdom and doesn’t want to be King just for the power.

I think it would be interesting if with the help of Idia, Leona does achieve his dream of the Savannah gaining more technology. Because Idia loves tech, and Leona has probably lamented to him about the lack of tech in the Savannah. So Leona introduces technology to the Savannah with Idia’s help (and probably some argueing with Falena).

I dunno, I just like this idea and I like Leoide :)

You know what was one of the things I wanted to see so bad when Tamashina-mina was first announced in TWST? Leona's brother, Falena (or Farena)🦁👑. Kifaji is good, but I feel like we could have known more about Leona and his family if we met his brother, so I decided to draw him.

He has the same hair color as his son, Cheka and I always like to think he has facial hair which I'm very happy with how it came out with the bushy eyebrows because I rarely draw facial hair or bushy eyebrows.

For his outfit, I really wanted to catch the African style fashion as well as put in some lion king references. Since braided hairstyles are popular in sunset savanna, I gave him some with accessories in them like blue hornbill feathers (Zazu) and gold clips. His robe has the lion painting from the film that Rafiki does and his circlet has that same symbol too.

I'm honestly pleased with how this came out. I showed it to my mom, and she thought it was a native American girl 😅🤣 that means I got a lot of practice to do. His wife, who I named Neliah, is coming soon, and I can't wait to show her to you guys. I wonder if Falena counts as my oc because he rightfully belongs to the game, but we never saw his design. What do you guys think?

“Falena” vs. “Farena”

So, I’ve been noticing that a lot of people use either “Falena” or “Farena” for Leona’s brother’s name. And I could not for the LIFE of me figure out why. Like, why was this there seemingly widespread habit of calling Falena “Farena”? The twst wiki and the game clearly states his name is Falena.

And then, to make sure, I actually went on to Falena’s page on the wiki. And it turns out Farena is Falena’s name when it is translated from the original Japanese apparently????

And I??? Do not understand???? Why they did not just call him Farena????? In English too??????????????? Like it’s literally just ONE letter change. What was the point of the name change??????

Well, at least now I know why some people refer to Leona’s older brother as “Farena” and some people refer to him as “Falena.”

And either way, they would be right.

Translators. Why.

"Cheka! Are you ready for school?!" Falena knocked on the teen's bedroom door before opening it. "I hope you are 'cause—"

The king paused as his son turned around. There stood his son, adorning his brother's hairstyle. The two braids; the long, flowing hair. It was strange, seeing his son look so similar to his brother.

"Hey Dad! What do you think?" Cheka looked down at his hair. "I did it from my memory of what I remember Uncle Leona looked like back in high school. How do you think I did?"

Falena stood there just a moment longer before letting out a hearty laugh, "You look uncannily alike, my son! You've done a good job."

Cheka gave a full smile to his dad. "I want to show Uncle Leona before I go, if that's alright."

"Of course it is, Cheka!" Falena walked over and gave Cheka a strong pat on the back. "He's most likely somewhere here, napping."

"It's alright, Dad." Cheka said, already heading out of his bedroom. "I'll find him quick enough."

Briskly walking through the castle halls, Cheka had only one more place he could think to look for his Uncle. Going out into the courtyard, the teen found his uncle sleeping under one of the trees.

"Uncle!" Cheka smiled, almost pouncing on the man.

"Oh sevens..." Leona muttered under his breath before he opened his eyes. "What-"

"Look!!!" Cheka pointed to his head. "I did my hair like yours!"

Leona grumbled in response, "Yeah, I see that you dork."

"Doncha like it?? Huh? Huh??" the teen bounced up and down, waiting for a response.

"Tilt your head this way," Leona sat up, reaching for Cheka's hair.

Leaning in, Cheka felt his uncle's hands move his hair around.

"There," Leona finally stopped. "Now it's your own style."

Leona had given Cheka a bun, tying one of the braids in it as well.

"Thank you, Uncle Leona!!" he tackled his uncle in a big hug.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever," the adult growled. "Now go get to class."

"Alright! Bye Uncle Leona!!" Cheka waved to him as he left the courtyard.

"Mhm..."

Both of the lion-beastmen donned the same smile on their face for the rest of the day.

(I didn't spin a wheel today I just chose Leona bc I'm projecting)

"They don't care about you"

Due being a very prestigious school, NRC doesn't have much time to spare. They have a lot of curriculum to get through.

This causes their break periods to only be a week at a time.

While most students see this as a con, to Leona it's the best part. The less time he spends in that stupid, stuffy, suffocating palace the better.

So when he was told be would be spending another two extra weeks at home he was not pleased.

Farena was the one who broke the news to him citing some random noble coming to visit.

"You're school doesn't mind so neither should you! School isn't fun anyways right?"

Leona snapped at him and threw him out.

Whenever Farena couldn't talk to Leona he sent father in. Which was worse.

Much worse.

Apparently he 'didnt value family' and 'was an ungrateful brat.'

"You've asked why you can't be a king this is why!

"Your friends will come and go they won't be there for you when you need them! One day you'll be dying and they'll let you. They won't even miss you! No one would miss a useless ungrateful brat!"

"They don't love you how family does."

"They don't care for you how family does"

"I doubt they care for you at all."

He was just an asshole. His words held no meaning heck, he barely even knew Leona.

But it still hurt

Leona sat there covering his face with his hands and breathing slowly. He wasn't crying. Crying was weak.

Leona was weak.

Who would care for a weak, Useless, Whiny, Ungrateful brat?

The Ghost of the Savanna: part 1

Prologue

Three years... It had been three years since Ifeatu's death. The second prince hadn't been himself since that day. Since he found her corpse after searching high and low from dawn til dusk. The look of terror and the realization that she'd never escape had been etched onto her expression, and he'd never forget it no matter how much he drank.

His body ached now... The Irises brushed at his cheek; a kiss from his Iris, he'd hope. Before coming to the field in which they'd fallen in love, Leona had gotten wasted, drinking wine until his sense of reality was as warped as Ife's. In his drunken state, he'd sworn he saw his deceased lover. That she had kissed him... begged him to rejoin her in heaven. What a foolish fantasy the alcohol gave him.

Perhaps he drank too much for his own good. His heart ached, desperate to turn back time and save her. Why had I been so foolish...? He'd wonder. He should have taken more care. He shouldn't have let her go back to them! They brought her pain! Nothing but pain, and now she was dead because of them... and his failure to keep her from them.

Leona blamed himself, and he tried to listen to his mama when she said it wasn't his fault, but it hurt so much. The thought that he could have prevented it made it worse. He was a worthless mate. Good for nothing and useless. What sort of man can't even protect his woman?

His dark thoughts seemed to bring about a thick mist. As it covered the field of Irises, Leona's mind became fogged. He felt light... Weightless... As if he could fly now..

Then he heard it...

"Leona..."

It was her... Ifeatu was suddenly standing over his form, lying in the field. She was hardly visible. It seemed as though her form would not hold.

"Iris..." He reached out to her, her cold hands taking his. It send a shudder down his spine, as if touching her had put him in a trance, the green of his eyes fading. They rolled back, his body stiffening and convulsing at the presence of the spirit in front of him. The cold was overwhelming. Mist fell from his mouth as he seemed to struggle to withstand it.

His hand remained outstretched to his lover even as his back arched.

"You'll come back to me, won't you...?" The spirit practically begged, reaching down and cupping his face, "Come stay with me...?"

Leona could hardly respond, the effects to great. He didn't want to die... but she made it oh so enticing, lifting the weight off him so easily.

"You will be happier with me... No more pain... No more expectations..."

His body twitched, the ache in his heart only becoming more intense. The desire to reunite with his mate, strong.

"No more pain..." He muttered, his mind clouded, "With... Iris..."

"Yes, you understand...!" She praised, sending Leona into a downward spiral. A pit of darkness. Suddenly, it was the dark waves of the ocean he craved. The desire to get lost in them... To drown... He wanted nothing more than to swim with the fish. To be lost to the ocean's watery depths, never to be seen again.

How could he not desire it? For it was how his precious mate left, "Find me at the docs... There, we shall be together again..."

Cold arms wrapped around him body, pulling him into a sit up position. Her kiss felt hypnotic... Leona's body began to shake as he returned the kiss, their lips locking.

He felt her fingers running through his hair, pressing him further against her.

Then, it went away, leaving his body warm. Ife stood, pulling Leona up as well, "Come... Come join me in paradise..." She urged him.

Leona stood slowly, staggering. He began to make his way out of the field, his possessed body being stopped by another, shaken out of its daze rather violently...

The heat returned to his body so fast, it made him pass out.

Falena was sure to catch him, eyeing his little brother with concern. His flesh had been so cold to the touch... He was muttering...

"What happened to you...?"

When Leona came to, he was in the palace infirmary, laid in bed. He hardly felt any better, his newfound desire to die by drowning faint in his thoughts.

He'd seen Ife... She missed him... Wanted him to join her--

Leona cut his thoughts short, "I am such a damn fool..." He chuckled almost hysterically, his forehead resting on his palm. Ifeatu was dead. She couldn't miss him or want anything from him.

He was delusional, he knew that now. Oh, how he wished he could embrace her... The love of his life... Kiss her...

But times have changed. There was no changing that...

And there were no ghosts in the savanna to tell him otherwise...
