Facing Twisted Wonderland Chapter 7 - Part 6 (scared)
Okay, I've successfully avoided spoilers for this newest release and waiting to play it. Get kinda scared in posting stuff, but for this newest part, I want to throw my thoughts and feelings out into the void. I'll be playing and reading a translation of the story and posting my thoughts throughout the story. Once it's done, I'll finish up with some predictions and just post.
As for my predictions, I think this is the last part that we'll be spending in Lilia's dreams. Maybe we'll get to see Maleficia? Will Silver ever tell Malleus that he is the son of the man who slayed his mother? Where is Levan? Are the Crowley = Levaan theories true? If so, how has Lilia not recognized one of his most precious people from Briar Valley? Is Lilia really going to the Land of the Red Dragon to try to find clues of Levaan? Is Meleanor really dead? Will we get to see even a glimpse of anyone else's dreams? How is Ortho doing on his mission? And will we see Idia snap out of his dream? Where is Meleanor's Princess Glow now? That seemed like a last minute macguffin that was thrown in hasn't been mentioned much since we were going through Silver and Sebek's feelings train.
I don't think the majority of my questions will be answered in this part or chapter, but I just wanted to write it down and see if my perspective will change based on the contents of this part.
Anyway, enough rambling and spiraling, time to begin!
AHHH, Sebek wasn't planning on showcasing his unique magic until he had perfected it, but, of course, Silver was in danger and desperately needed help. UGHHHH they're bond!!!!!
Oh???? They're finally adressing why Lilia's dream has been full of pain when Malleus should be giving everyone a happy dream? Ok, so Sebek proposes that maybe Malleus can't monitor Lilia's dream. The only reason I can think of is that he doesn't even truly EXIST in this time so he can't summon a Malleus to keep watch there? Or there could be some sort of lock that Malleus can't go past to look into Lilia's dreams/memories? IDK

So they banned him from living in the capital and he only ever went on official business or with an invitation to the royal castle. Did he eventually raise Malleus? Or did the senate find a way to hatch him after 200 years?

Oh shit. If Malleus keeps on rejecting Maleficia's magic, then he'll die Is this why Lilia is low on magic now? Has he spent tons of his magic in trying to incubate the egg? If so, then if Malleus ever finds out...the guilt and self-hatred he'll feel...
So that's why he traveled around the world before Malleus hatched. He was trying to find ways in which Malleus can be born

Ok, so Lilia visited the City of Flowers and met with fae prejudice. Hmm, when he told us that he visited the City of Flowers in the Glorious Masquerade, he looked so cheerful and I totally felt that he had fond memories of the place. He's very good at hiding his past with a smile, making us not worry about him since he's just silly bat dad. Oh Lilia...
Also visiting the Scalding Sands. When talking to Tamago-sama, he started using his happy voice from the present, so I'm guessing he started acting positive and speaking in that cheerful manner due to counting stories to Malleus?
Meleanor's lullaby once again...
So he learned his UM in his travels? Wow
Good, he met people who saved him from the snow and were kind. ACCEPT THE WARMTH LILIA. You deserve so much for travelling so many years

Oh, Malleus is throwing out lightning that Lilia keeps dodging, just like Meleanor did. And Lilia knows how to handle people throwing tantrums and rages. Ah, my heart
Even in an egg, Malleus has felt so much loneliness and, right now, Lilia is persevering in the face of Malleus' cries

Alright, well, I guess that's it for this part. Umm, tons of Lilia backstory which I loved and we were able to see present Malleus now! So! That's! Cool!
So, predictions from what my brain can even conjure at this moment. Team up with Idia and Ortho, maybe Idia will be able to create some sort of super weapon that can help us defeat Malleus? That's all I got. My brain is a bit mush right now. Anyway. Uhh, hope any person enjoyed this...mess.

TWISTED WONDERLAND BOOK 7 CHAPTER 2 SPOILERS. (summary, kinda. dont trust me a lot on literal translations its more of a general summary and i could be wrong with some things. also its kind of live reaction so. yeah. this shit is long btw. too much lore.)

TWST Theory : Deep Analysis Based on Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass - Crowley The Mad Hatter (part 1)

⚠️VERY COMPLICATED TWST THEORY, MIGHT GIVES YOU HEADACHE, PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK ⚠️
Note:
You've read this far, congratulations! Beware that this is the longest and most difficult part to understand out of all parts it might give you headaches if you're not ready. (It's ok, I can't take it as well myself that I almost cried when I wrote this) Keep in mind that I have little to no evidence, therefore this theory is my original theory and purely just my assumptions so please take it with the grain of salt (as usual).
Before I explain, I want to say that I did this analysis and research purely because I want a base to make a hc for Crowley for my own fanfic/yumeship since we have little to no information about him. I just feel the need to get it all off my head and share it here because of how complicated it is and to better understand what kind of Crowley he is in my lore that I created, since how I see of Crowley is very different compared to how most people see Crowley. Most people see him as the mastermind, a very evil villain to the point most people in the fandom hate him unreasonably. I can guess it's because of almost all people in the fandom, both JP and EN side doesn't know what twisted he is and he is just mysterious and ambiguous that he is misunderstood.
Crowley has been believed for a long time as twisted from Diablo, Maleficent's raven because of his name. Some also suspected he's the crow in Snow White. Even so there's no telling of what he is twisted from. And don't you think it's a bit weird when both Diablo and the crow in Snow White role actually doesn't really have that much significance in their respective stories while we know Crowley would play a great part in twst as he is still the Headmaster of NRC. I'm sure twst fans have been dying to know what he is supposed to be for almost 3 years including myself, but I've always believed he is actually also twisted of something else other than Diablo and today I'm going to share my own analysis and hc of Crowley that hopefully would help you understand him and his character better, and that is :
Dire Crowley : Twisted of Mad Hatter
A long time ago I was just thinking, if Yuu supposed to be Alice that comes to a Wonderland, surely there should be Mad Hatter somewhere...? And then I remembered someone that seems to wear hat everywhere no matter the circumstances...
That's right, it's the Headmage of NRC, Dire Crowley.
And isn't it kind of weird that his hat is similar to that of Ramshackle ghost's? As if the clue is there in front of your eyes.
So I decided to look at it further and found something interesting....
Alice in Wonderland : The World of Math
Alice in Wonderland is a children's book because of its fantasy like story, but if you're a true book lover, you'll know that Alice in Wonderland is a book full of riddles. There are a lot of english wordplay but what not many people know is that most of the riddles in Alice in Wonderland are related to Math, as Carroll is also the Math Logician.
I won't explain much but this is an example of the math riddle in Alice in Wonderland (you can skip this part if it's too much. I just want to show you) :
In the chapter of "Advice from Caterpillar", Alice has fallen down the rabbit hole and eaten a cake that has shrunk her to a height of just 3 inches. The Caterpillar enters, smoking a hookah pipe, and shows Alice a mushroom that can restore her to her proper size. But one side of the mushroom stretches her neck, while another shrinks her torso, so she must eat exactly the right balance to regain her proper size and proportions. The word "hookah" is of Arabic origin, like "algebra", and the original Arabic term for algebra, widely known and used in the mathematical community in Carroll's time, was al jebr e al mokabala or "restoration and reduction" - which exactly describes Alice's experience. It's Carroll's view of the absurdity of symbolic algebra.
The reason why I strongly believe Crowley is/was the one who looped/rewind the time is because I suspect he is the Mad Hatter. I have always been drawing him based on this thoughts in my mind and of course it's not without reason. Every scenes in Alice in Wonderland contains riddles in it and most of them goes by math logic. And from all of those riddles, the "A Mad Tea Party" from Alice in Wonderland and "Wool and Water" from Through The Looking Glass are the only scenes that tells time in wonderland specifically that made Alice realizes time in Wonderland goes differently from her own world.
In one interview, Yana said it herself that she learned so much from Lewis Carroll's style of story telling. Carroll's background in Math and his interest in literatures allowed him to criticize ideas at that time through his Wonderland stories. This is what his story telling style is like when he made "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass". Doing analysis on Dire Crowley means that I should solve the riddle first and then do an actual analysis on him.
Now you know that Alice in Wonderland is about Math, so from this onwards, I'm going to do explanation how to solve the riddle while also explaining about Crowley along the way
Note : I'm not a Mathematician nor a Physician so there might be other things that I have no idea about but I'll do my best to explain the math riddle to you...
Mad Hatter and His Relation to Time
-Time for a T-Party : "A Mad Tea Party"- (Alice in Wonderland)
“It began with the tea,” the Hatter replied.
“Of course twinkling begins with a T!” said the King sharply. “Do you take me for a dunce? Go on!”
When you read "Tea Party" it sounds the same as "T-Party". "T" is the math symbol of "Time" in mathematics. At the time when Alice in Wonderland was written and published, a mathematician, Sir William Rowan Hamilton (1805–1865) invented "quaternion", a four dimensional extension to complex number that also represent rotations and orientation happening to the four dimensional object in three dimensional space.
To put it simply, quaternion is a four number system in mathematics that shows what happened to 3D objects if they are in timespace (4th dimension)
Note :
To make it easier to understand :
...-2.5,-2,-1, 0, 1, 2, 2.5...-> is real number
3.14 + 1.59i -> is complex number
3.23 + 8.46i + 2.64j + 3.38k -> is quaternion
The 1st dimension that represented by real numbers system is line.
The 2nd dimension that represented by complex number system are two-dimensional shapes (ex : rectangle, trapezoid)
The 3rd dimension that represented by adding one more imaginary dimension are three-dimensional shapes (ex : sphere, cube)
The 4th dimension that represented by adding two more imaginary dimension to complex number is timespace.
Quaternion is a four number system in the form of
q = a + bi + cj + dk
Where a , b , c , d are real numbers and i , j , k are "imaginary" unit hence why quaternion is also called "imaginary mathematics".
In Crowley's voice clip, he said :
Not only "imagination" is the key to use magic in Twisted Wonderland, this "imagination" might have relevance to something else as well but I'll skip this part for now and will explain it later in the last part. Just remember that this "imagination" is the key word to this theory and will guide you when you read further.
In 3D, 3 dimensional consist of 3 axis : length, width, and depth. In 4D, there's a fourth axis : Time.
Hamilton spent much of his life seeking a three-dimensional number system analogous to the complex numbers. He added two imaginary dimensions, (2.64j)and (3.38k) to the complex number (3.23 + 8.46i). Three imaginary dimensions describing spaces, and the real numbers sitting perpendicular to that in some kind of fourth dimension.
Hamilton said, if you take this time parameter out of these numbers, then the numbers would just keep rotating around － they won't go anywhere, like the characters rotating round and round the tea party, round and round the table.
“Ah! that accounts for it,” said the Hatter. “He won’t stand beating. Now, if you only kept on good terms with him, he’d do almost anything you liked with the clock. For instance, suppose it were nine o’clock in the morning, just time to begin lessons: you’d only have to whisper a hint to Time, and round goes the clock in a twinkling! Half-past one, time for dinner!”
(“I only wish it was,” the March Hare said to itself in a whisper.)
“That would be grand, certainly,” said Alice thoughtfully: “but then—I shouldn’t be hungry for it, you know.”
“Not at first, perhaps,” said the Hatter: “but you could keep it to half-past one as long as you liked.”
“Is that the way you manage?” Alice asked.
The Hatter shook his head mournfully. “Not I!” he replied. “We quarrelled last March—just before he went mad, you know—” (pointing with his tea spoon at the March Hare,) “—it was at the great concert given by the Queen of Hearts, and I had to sing
‘Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!
How I wonder what you’re at!’
You know the song, perhaps?”
“I’ve heard something like it,” said Alice.
“It goes on, you know,” the Hatter continued, “in this way:—
‘Up above the world you fly,
Like a tea-tray in the sky.

Here the Dormouse shook itself, and began singing in its sleep “Twinkle, twinkle, twinkle, twinkle—” and went on so long that they had to pinch it to make it stop.
“Well, I’d hardly finished the first verse,” said the Hatter, “when the Queen jumped up and bawled out, ‘He’s murdering the time! Off with his head!’”
“How dreadfully savage!” exclaimed Alice.
“And ever since that,” the Hatter went on in a mournful tone, “he won’t do a thing I ask! It’s always six o’clock now.”
A bright idea came into Alice’s head. “Is that the reason so many tea-things are put out here?” she asked.
“Yes, that’s it,” said the Hatter with a sigh: “it’s always tea-time, and we’ve no time to wash the things between whiles.”
“Then you keep moving round, I suppose?” said Alice.
“Exactly so,” said the Hatter: “as the things get used up.”
“But what happens when you come to the beginning again?” Alice ventured to ask.
“Suppose we change the subject,” the March Hare interrupted, yawning. “I’m getting tired of this. I vote the young lady tells us a story.”
Related to this scene, Hatter, Hare and Dormouse represent three terms of a quaternion, and the fourth term, Time, is absent because Hatter was upsetting the Time. Time won't allow those three to move past tea time and they can only move round the table in a loop, just like Hamilton attempts to calculate motion before the 4th dimension of time was added.

‘It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backwards,’ the Queen remarked.
‘What sort of things do you remember best?’ Alice ventured to ask.
‘Oh, things that happened the week after next,’ the Queen replied in a careless tone. ‘For instance, now,’ she went on, sticking a large piece of plaster on her finger as she spoke, ‘there’s the King’s Messenger. He’s in prison now, being punished: and the trial doesn’t even begin till next Wednesday: and of course the crime comes last of all.’
‘Suppose he never commits the crime?’ said Alice.
‘That would be all the better, wouldn’t it?’ the Queen said, as she bound the plaster round her finger with a bit of ribbon.
Alice felt there was no denying that. ‘Of course it would be all the better,’ she said: ‘but it wouldn’t be all the better his being punished.’
‘You’re wrong there, at any rate,’ said the Queen: ‘were you ever punished?’
‘Only for faults,’ said Alice.
‘And you were all the better for it, I know!’ the Queen said triumphantly.
‘Yes, but then I had done the things I was punished for,’ said Alice: ‘that makes all the difference.’
‘But if you hadn’t done them,’ the Queen said, ‘that would have been better still; better, and better, and better!’ Her voice went higher with each ‘better,’ till it got quite to a squeak at last.
Alice was just beginning to say ‘There’s a mistake somewhere—,’ when the Queen began screaming so loud that she had to leave the sentence unfinished. ‘Oh, oh, oh!’ shouted the Queen, shaking her hand about as if she wanted to shake it off. ‘My finger’s bleeding! Oh, oh, oh, oh!’
Her screams were so exactly like the whistle of a steam-engine, that Alice had to hold both her hands over her ears.
‘What is the matter?’ she said, as soon as there was a chance of making herself heard. ‘Have you pricked your finger?’
‘I haven’t pricked it yet,’ the Queen said, ‘but I soon shall—oh, oh, oh!’
‘When do you expect to do it?’ Alice asked, feeling very much inclined to laugh.
‘When I fasten my shawl again,’ the poor Queen groaned out: ‘the brooch will come undone directly. Oh, oh!’ As she said the words the brooch flew open, and the Queen clutched wildly at it, and tried to clasp it again.
‘Take care!’ cried Alice. ‘You’re holding it all crooked!’ And she caught at the brooch; but it was too late: the pin had slipped, and the Queen had pricked her finger.
‘That accounts for the bleeding, you see,’ she said to Alice with a smile. ‘Now you understand the way things happen here.’
The Wool and Water chapter from "Through the Looking Glass" is another chapter that gives a hint to Alice about time, particularly how time in the mirror world goes (it's moving backwards). Similar to how "A Mad Tea-Party" chapter in "Alice in Wonderland" does.
This chapter also mentioned the "King's Messenger" who is in prison and is being punished, which later in chapter "The Lion and The Unicorn" turns out to be "Hatta", the "Hatter" in "Through The Looking Glass" (and he is still drinking tea just like the "Hatter" in "Alice in Wonderland"). This chapter is the first time where Hatter (now Hatta) being mentioned in "Through The Looking Glass".
Mad Hatter, Crow, and Raven : The Key to Time is the Corvid
The first thing Hatter said when he met Alice for the first time was :
“Why is a raven like a writing desk?”
Carroll said, all the riddles in his books aren't actually meant to be solved therefore he never gave an answer to it for the readers of his works. But interestingly later, from all of his riddles this one riddle became the only riddle that has an answer from Carroll himself since his readers were so persistent. Here's what he said :
Enquiries have been so often addressed to me, as to whether any answer to the Hatter's Riddle can be imagined, that I may as well put on record here what seems to me to be a fairly appropriate answer, viz:
'Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!' This, however, is merely an afterthought; the Riddle, as originally invented, had no answer at all.
He wasn't actually giving the answer, but he was giving a hint on how to solve the riddle by ourself.
The answer to the riddle is like his other poem riddles where each sentence has a single word meaning – a charade.
'Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat;'
This first sentence in a single word describes a ‘letter’.
'and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!'
The second sentence in a single word is simply ‘backwards’.
The word ‘Letter’ has a double meaning of one you send in the post or one in the alphabet.
When you read the letters in the word "nevar" in backwards, it will be "raven"
This answer related to Hatter's riddle on Carroll's first publication had never intentionally misspelt with a letter ‘a’ which is Raven spelt with the wrong end in front. He was describing the word ‘backwards’ in his second sentence just like his other charade poems.
Carroll is good at saying something with double meanings so the hint doesn't end there in the charade just like that. The second sentence, when you read the sentence just as it is 'and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!' with your focus on the word "nevar" means that "The wrong end in front isn't the same as the end in back"
This refers to the order of multiplication in quaternion which is non-commutative. Quaternion represents rotations and orientation happening to the four dimensional object in three dimensional space. Swapping the order on how you do the multiplication will changes the answer.
If you do the multiplication clockwise, it will gives you positive answer : i x j = k
If you do the multiplication counter-clockwise, it will gives you negative answer : j x i = -k
Hence in quaternion i x j is not the same as j x i
( i x j ≠ j x i )
This non-commutative order of multiplication in quaternion later implied by what Hatter said after he asked the riddle to Alice.
“Not the same thing a bit!” said the Hatter. “You might just as well say that ‘I see what I eat’ is the same thing as ‘I eat what I see’!”
“You might just as well say,” added the March Hare, “that ‘I like what I get’ is the same thing as ‘I get what I like’!”
“You might just as well say,” added the Dormouse, who seemed to be talking in his sleep, “that ‘I breathe when I sleep’ is the same thing as ‘I sleep when I breathe’!”
“It is the same thing with you,” said the Hatter, and here the conversation dropped, and the party sat silent for a minute, while Alice thought over all she could remember about ravens and writing-desks, which wasn’t much.
Additionally, in "Through The Looking Glass" (the scene in 'Wool and Water') where Alice finally realized how the time goes in the world behind the mirror was happened when a giant crow covered the sky so it feels like it's nighttime, and the crow goes away after White Queen explained how time goes in through the looking glass.
By this time it was getting light. ‘The crow must have flown away, I think,’ said Alice: ‘I’m so glad it’s gone. I thought it was the night coming on.’
The giant crow appeared at the last part of the previous chapter of Wool and Water, 'Tweedledum and Tweedledee'
It was getting dark so suddenly that Alice thought there must be a thunderstorm coming on. ‘What a thick black cloud that is!’ she said. ‘And how fast it comes! Why, I do believe it’s got wings!’
‘It’s the crow!’ Tweedledum cried out in a shrill voice of alarm: and the two brothers took to their heels and were out of sight in a moment.
Alice ran a little way into the wood, and stopped under a large tree. ‘It can never get at me here,’ she thought: ‘it’s far too large to squeeze itself in among the trees. But I wish it wouldn’t flap its wings so—it makes quite a hurricane in the wood—here’s somebody’s shawl being blown away!’
In 'Wool and Water' White Queen said to Alice:
‘I’m sure I’ll take you with pleasure!’ the Queen said. ‘Twopence a week, and jam every other day.’
Alice couldn’t help laughing, as she said, ‘I don’t want you to hire me—and I don’t care for jam.’
‘It’s very good jam,’ said the Queen.
‘Well, I don’t want any to-day, at any rate.’
‘You couldn’t have it if you did want it,’ the Queen said. ‘The rule is, jam to-morrow and jam yesterday—but never jam to-day.’
‘It must come sometimes to “jam to-day,”’ Alice objected.
‘No, it can’t,’ said the Queen. ‘It’s jam every other day: to-day isn’t any other day, you know.’
‘I don’t understand you,’ said Alice. ‘It’s dreadfully confusing!’
‘That’s the effect of living backwards,’ the Queen said kindly: ‘it always makes one a little giddy at first—’
She said 'That's the effect of living backwards'
If we look back at "A Mad Tea Party" from Alice in Wonderland, these chapter are related to each other and those are :
‘Twopence a week, and jam every other day.’
The King’s Messenger (Hatta) who was in prison and being punished when this dialogue happened, White Queen said his trial doesn’t even begin till next Wednesday. Wednesday is the 3rd day of the week. If you multiply twopence by 3, you'll get 6 pence, which can be refered to the cost of the Hatter's hat, the price tag on the hat he wears. 10 shillings, 6 pence (10/6)
‘No, it can’t,’ said the Queen. ‘It’s jam every other day: to-day isn’t any other day, you know.’
The word 'jam' in english can also means 'stuck'. And in addition to the 6 in sixpence and how the White Queen talks about the King's messenger who is in prison afterwards, this is referring to the Hatter in 'Alice in Wonderland' who is stuck in time and becomes the prisoner of time, since he can't move past 6 o’clock (tea time)
And then the 'to-day isn’t any other day' part once again refers to the order of multiplication in quaternion which is non-commutative.
Interestingly In chapter 6 of twst, Crowley also get "arrested" to the Island of Woe along with overblot students and got stuck there. He is helpless and can't do anything about it. Just like Hatter in mad tea party and when Hatta is imprisoned.
Crowley's name, "Dire Crowley" was formed from the wordplay of Japanese katakana just like how Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass are full of wordplay. When being translated to Japanese, his name becomes
" ディア・クロウリ"
read : "Dia Kurouri"
Crowley's first name, Dire, has been retconned to be pronounced as "Dia" for katakana wordplay that makes it extremely similar to "Diablo", the name of Maleficient's raven in Sleeping Beauty when being read.
ディアブロ = Diaboro (Diablo)
ディアクロ = Dia Kuro
The riddle "Raven like a writing desk", particularly the word "Raven" is the key that refers to the never-ending mad tea party. Is this why Crowley always says he is kind because the collective name for Ravens is an Unkindness which is also Hatter's personal remarks about Alice's hair?
The name "Dire Crowley" also contains the word "Crow" in it. In addition to the crow being a hint in Through The Looking Glass that refers back to the Mad Tea Party, in the chapter of "A Mad Tea Party" from Alice in Wonderland, Hatter said :
“Well, I’d hardly finished the first verse,” said the Hatter, “when the Queen jumped up and bawled out, ‘He’s murdering the time! Off with his head!’”
Here the Hatter was being accused of 'murdering' the Time rather than just killing time, and hence the tea party being stopped at tea time. You know what is the collective noun for Crows? That's right, a murder of Crows.
Seeing how his name can form both "Crow" and "Raven", the key answer to the Mad Hatter riddle that relates to time and 4th dimension means that the key to another dimension (which also means a way for Yuu to go back home) is actually Crowley himself.
All this time, it's not that he doesn't know how to send Yuu back home and doesn't want to find a way for Yuu to go back. He knows from the very beginning ever since Yuu came to Twisted Wonderland because it was Crowley himself who summoned them. There's really no need for him to search a way for Yuu to go back to their world because he already knows. But just like every unique magic which has their own condition to work and its limitations no matter how powerful it is, Crowley's unique magic also has its limitations and can only be done in certain condition, which I'm going to explain later.
Also, if you didn't skip anything when you read this part, you will notice that Hatter/Hatta seems to always has trouble with laws. Just like Crowley does.
Crowley and His Connection to Blot : Mad Hatter Disease
The idiom “mad as a hatter” was around long before Carroll started writing. Colloquially used to describe an eccentric person, “mad as a hatter” is based on a problem that arose in the 1800s when hat companies used mercury in the hat-making process. The mercury got into their systems and they went insane, hence the term “mad as a hatter”.
The real milliners (hatters) in the old days used mercury at cluing the felt in hats making. During that process some of that mercury vaporized and the felt maker/ milliner accidently breathed some of that. And when they were exposed to mercury for many years it really started affecting them: skin began to pale down, nails began to gain some "yellowish" color, hair started to become fuzzy. Even pupils could become dilated. This is what later is called "Mad Hatter Syndrome/Disease"
The effect of Mercury on human bodies seems to be similar with overblot in Twisted Wonderland, since those who are overbloting will have change in their appearance (skin began to pale down), changes in behaviour and goes insane.
When this theory is written, we still don't know whether Lilia's magic is depleted because of old age or something else, but if it's because of old age, why does Crowley can still use magic in game (refer to Ortho's R vignette) while it seems like he is at the same age as Lilia or maybe even older?
Paler skin is one of the change in appearance for those who are overbloting. The fact that Crowley's skin tone is paler than even for normal faes (his skin shade is more of grayish rather than brownish when being compared to Malleus and Lilia) means that he might have been exposed to blot for a very long time just like the hatter in 1800s.
There're two possibilities why Crowley covers upper half of his face:
1. He is immortal.
This refers to Mad Hatter when he sings at the great concert given by Queen of Hearts and later accused for murdering the time by her. He should have been beheaded at that time, but somehow managed to escape and still alive and later having tea party with March Hare and Dormouse and can't move from there.
In "A Mad Tea Party" (chapter 7 of Alice in Wonderland) :
“Well, I’d hardly finished the first verse,” said the Hatter, “when the Queen jumped up and bawled out, ‘He’s murdering the time! Off with his head!’”
And in "Who Stole The Tarts" (chapter 11 of Alice in Wonderland) :
All this time the Queen had never left off staring at the Hatter, and, just as the Dormouse crossed the court, she said to one of the officers of the court, “Bring me the list of the singers in the last concert!” on which the wretched Hatter trembled so, that he shook both his shoes off.
2. It really is just my guess but if Crowley's magic has been depleted a long time ago just like Lilia, what if, the reason why even until now he can still uses magic is because he reuses magic excess, blot to perform magic and constantly poisoning himself with it just like hatters in 1800s?
As Mad Hatter, he might have immunity to blot just like Idia with his burning hair (his body can burn and cleanse blot) that it won't affect his mental state because his logic is already beyond comprehension and thus, technically he can't overblot (that's why he doesn't have phantom with him) since he is already "mad" even before he poisoned himself. But even though the blot doesn't affect his mental state, it still affects his body and his body starts to resemble those who overblot. His skin becomes paler, his lips turns black, and blot mark appears around his eyes so that he will need to cover it to hide it. That would also explain why in the prologue when he brought Yuu to Twisted Wonderland he says he is running out of time because his body is already at its limit.

Yeah, I know this is not the only explanation from Idia about blot. I chose this one for this part because even though I want to explain further since there's still something more about Crowley I need to explain, Tumblr decided to say no as I can't upload more photos(already reaching its limit). I want to explain my personal opinion about Crowley's intention based on my endless research on him for years but I guess this is it.
End Note : Originally I intended to explain it in one go and finish it all here in this part because it still connected to each other but I guess I'll still need to split it into two parts. I promise I'll explain the rest on the last part of this theory/analysis. Besides I'm afraid I might really break your brain if I do explain it all in one go so this is all for now.

Twisted Wonderland Theory: Malleus And Crowley
(WARNING! Current Chapter 7 Spoilers included below!)
Thank you to @twisted-tech for making the original post about the similarities in shots of Malleus and Crowley (Original Post below) in the recent AMVs.
Now, this notice of similarities REALLY got my brain twisting and turning because the more I thought about it, the more potential things seemed to add up. Buckle up, y'all, because I'm about to take you on a wild ride-
OKAY! First things first, we all basically remember what the overall premise of the game is, right? The individuals who Overblot are based directly off of source, Disney Villains who basically follow the original plots of the movies/plots of the villains themselves overall- but with a twist. The game itself essentially is about the essence of old mistakes repeating themselves, yet actually being resolved instead of winding up in someone being eaten by a bunch of hyenas or stabbed by a ship or something. It's all about learning from the past and moving on, and there have been connections with this as well thanks to the MC's dreams of the past Disney movie related plots as the plots in the current day- that are strikingly similar- unfold. Now, the entirety of the game, the MC has been wanting to do one thing and one thing only- get home. We were brought here for an unknown reason and are being held here without assistance for an unknown reason as well. We keep asking the oh-so gracious Headmaster Crowley for help- to no avail. We all are aware that things aren't as they seem, but what if it's because the answer is right under our noses?
What if Crowley and Malleus are one and the same???
Now, now, hear me out for this one.
Per Chapter 6 and the recent Glorious Masquerade event, we have seen a drastic increase in which Malleus and the MC are interacting and how protective Malleus is about the MC overall- I mean, he saved them from falling from a burning building and practically LOST it when they went missing along with most of the dorm leaders and whatnot. The MC is getting themselves into trouble time and time again, and nothing is being done on Crowley's part about it- so what if that's the way that the game is MEANT to be played? (Current Chapter 7 Spoilers next)
As far as we know right now for the newest chapter, Malleus is in a veerrrryyyyyy massive mental bit of a pickle right now. Lilia will be retiring due to a loss of magic (you're sus too, Draculaura clone-) and Malleus has only around a week to see him before he's just up and gone. And to top this all off, now, his precious friend- the one person here who has shown him nothing but kindness has now just also asked him for assistance in leaving to return home. His statement was around the lines of, "No matter how powerful I am....I cannot stop people from leaving me". And then we get those lovely ink blots we all know and "love" by now.
His fear of losing the MC was already set into stone by the actions of Chapter 6- and perhaps that is why Crowley goes missing during practically the entirety of these events. Crowley knew that this set of events needed to take place to set the stones for Malleus to Overblot- because he went through it himself before. Crowley is a past, now "older" version of Malleus himself who is now trying to undo his old mistakes in regards to- possibly, Twisted Wonderland's destruction itself at his own hands. This is why one of Crowley's first statements to the MC was to the fact that only they can help prevent what destruction is to come and save them all. We have also seen within the past that the first introduction of magic into the world of Twisted Wonderland was through the discovery of magic stones in the Dwarves' Mine- which would mean that the first person to utilize such magic to their own advantage eventually to become one of the Great Seven would be The Beautiful Queen- which, given the time paradox, would explain why Crowley has the hidden apple motifs here and there and the connection with the Dark Mirror as well as a further part of masking his true identity- or, perhaps to separate himself from his past self and actions entirely.
Crowley's mask, hat, and claws upon his fingers and overall manner of dress is actually a way of covering up almost all of the features of his that would point to him being Malleus from a far past- except for a few. Crowley's ears are pointed in a way similar to Malleus, their complexion is almost precisely the same, the whisps of hair that peek out from around Crowley's mask is oddly similar to Malleus' hair overall, their legs are the same length despite them being slightly different heights (though, I highly doubt a mere height reduction spell would be a task for someone as powerful as Malleus)- and even their lips are strikingly similar. The mask Crowley dons hides his eyes and most of his face from the eyes of us players and everyone else in the world, and if you look closely enough, Crowley's hat actually seems to be positioned slightly above where the top of his head should be- almost like something is underneath of them...could it be Malleus' horns he dons atop his head????
This would also add up as to why Crowley seems to be so mysterious about his intentions and dodges around most questions in this regard- and it would also explain his odd behavior in regards to the Overblot stones. Overblots have been happening left and right in his school and no action to stop it has been taken. Is it mere bumbling, or does it have a deeper intention??? This could also explain Crowley's classic statement, "For I am so gracious", as well. Malleus has never...done anything to hurt any of the students at the school. At all. He's just honestly a nice fae who is MAJORLY misunderstood. If anything, he has been nothing but kind- especially to the MC, who he has saved and fixed things for now numerous times within the story itself. And maybe this statement from Crowley is a way of telling himself that his own destruction of Twisted Wonderland prior was not of his own collation- after all, all it takes is "one bad day".

Now that chapter six has ended, what are your opinions on it as a whole

***Chapter 6 main story spoilers below the cut!***
I THINK CHAPTER 6 IS NOW MY FAVORITE ONE 😭 (it used to be chapter 4) I’M GOING TO TRY AND KEEP MY THOUGHTS CALM AND CONDENSED THOUGH ASDKHBASIDBYOBFAIDQOVID;OBUQELVFILbhldbFIGVUAILFBB;2477831T6G30E8′.;;gkkn;jadbufyvalsfYIUADKIYV UOlbiiYB
Like?????????? IT JUST DOES A LOT REALLY WELL, despite having a glut of characters to work with????????? OB isn’t treated like just a harmless “villain of the week” episodic one-and-done-now-onto-the-next thing, the consequences have been building for a long time and chapter 6 is the major payoff for it.
I like that chapter 6 took a totally different direction than many of us were expecting, giving us a ton of lore about blot and efforts directed to contain and research it. We also saw a lot of the world and distant lands, how countries are arranged relative to each other, etc. When you put it hand-in-hand with the “visiting characters’ home countries” events, it all makes Twisted Wonderland really feel like a world that’s well-lived in.
More importantly though, the character development in this chapter was TOP TIER 😳 We got so many returning characters and we actually get to see the consequences of their OBing catching ho to them. We get to see how they’ve grown and changed since we last saw them in major roles in the main story. We see that they’re still imperfect after all this time, and that’s totally okay because change is hard and slow. I loved seeing the boys forced to work together to overcome a common enemy, and it was such a joy to see them happily reunited with their dorm members at the very end 😭
The Shroud brothers storyline also hit so hard 😭 Their bond is so pure, and Idia’s struggles with coming to terms with the past and his guilt is extremely realistic and genuine. I’m not the kind of person that often cries when absorbing media, but chapter 6 made me sob ugly silent tears when Idia’s backstory played; it’s the ONLY instance in TWST that has actually moved me to that extent (and that’s really saying a lot, especially considering that I dislike Idia). Like damn, I think I might actually have to bump him up several rungs in my personal tier list for this??????
The foreshadowing throughout chapter 6 for 7 was also impeccably done 👀 All of Lilia’s talk about the ephemeral nature of human life makes me so hype for how they will possibly explore this topic in the future, and what kind of lesson Malleus and co. may learn from it.
The only things I would say I didn’t like were 1) the gameplay (specifically the time gating and character locking in parts 66 and 67) and 2) Crowley and Grim taking a backseat in the plot; I feel like more time should have been dedicated to showing where they were and what they were doing as the events unfolded, but I realize it may have made the chapter cluttered and could have distracted from the delicious Shroud brothers angst 😔 or maybe they purposefully kept it vague to build more mystery? So in the end, I guess I can forgive it... I just hope that whatever Grim and Crowley were up to in the background of chapter 6 come back and more relevant than ever in chapter 7 💕

The World on the Other Side of the Mirror
WARNING THIS IS A VERY LONG POST AND ALSO CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM CHAPTER 6 AND SPECULATIONS ABOUT CHAPTER 7
Once again this is just my theories/speculations, they may be right or wrong but it all depends on you on what you're going to do with the information my potato brain came up with (also this was supposed to be posted a long time ago but my thoughts were so scattered so 😅)

So watching the translations for Chapter 6, it can be noted that Mickey appears a lot more in this chapter. In the scene where Epel and Yuu chase after Rook, Mickey appears and says this...

After all that it also shows scenes of Grim getting taken away to STYX and Ace and Deuce in the infirmary.
The next part where Mickey appears once again is near the end of Chapter 6, where everything was resolved, and we see Mickey again through the mirror. We were also about to show to Grim that Mickey was real but Grim also says that there's nothing reflecting onto the mirror...

Mickey also found it strange that he can't see Grim either, only us. He also states that he can only see fog around us, Mickey then proceeds to describe how his room looks like and ask us if we can see it...

But since we're on the same case as Mickey where we can only see fog around him, we say no. He was sad that he can't meet more friends in his dream. And then Mickey proceeds to tell us that while we're away he saw someone in his dream room, he also described how they looked like...

After that part we hear an alarm going off with Mickey saying he needs to wake up. Mickey then says his goodbyes and him wanting to meet again before leaving which causes to think "Is the other side of the mirror a dream world?"
Now let's go to my theories/speculations:
Let me break this down into parts so that it's easier for me and you to understand:

What Will Happen in Chapter 7
1. About Mickey
So now we know how important Mickey is especially in the future parts of the story. But with the things he's been saying throughout Chapter 6 such as wanting to help us find Grim and wanting to make new friends made me think...
Could it be possible for Mickey to find a way into Twisted Wonderland?
It was mentioned at the very beginning of this post that Mickey wanted to help us but he couldn't, so wouldn't there be a possibility that when we're in grave danger Mickey will find his way into Twisted Wonderland? Like Mickey could possibly help us in fighting OB! Malleus, heck maybe even OB!Grim.
2. The Person Who Appeared in Mickey's Dream Room and The Dream World as a Whole
As of right now we don't have that much information about the Dream World other than Mickey's Dream Room and how it was the first time that someone enters his room. Based off Mickey's description, there's only one person who fits the description of "silver hair and mysterious eye color" which happens to be Silver (Mickey why you gotta make our lives harder with the mysterious eye color part 😭), which meant that Silver most likely ended up in Mickey's room in his sleep.
However, since we do know that Silver has his curse/narcolepsy, how did he only end up in Mickey's room now even though he sleeps a lot?
The answer to that question would most likely be that Silver was probably in a deep sleep after the fight with the Charon. He most likely wasn't fighting his sleep anymore which caused his consciousness to move somewhere else. Now this is where it gets interesting...
How did Silver end up in the Dream World of all places?
This would most likely connect to Silver's magic. It's possible that Silver could go into different dream realms or dreamwalk. It is also noted that Silver mentioned he saw us before in a dream, which could either mean he actually saw us in a dream he had or it's just a reference to "Once Upon a Dream". A lot of people also speculated that Silver also has the same dreams as us about the Great Seven.
How come Mickey can see Silver but he couldn't see Grim?
Once again that is most likely because Silver was in Mickey's dream room, not in our actual room or Silver might actually be from another world, since Mickey can also see us, who's not from Twisted Wonderland. Well not necessarily from our world, he could be from another world that we don't even know of. Maybe Silver's ability of dreamwalking is seen as unusual or dangerous in Twisted Wonderland but in the world he was supposedly in, it was normal?
Another thing I thought about is how Silver can help Mickey end up in Twisted Wonderland to help us. Since Silver can travel from the dream world to Twisted Wonderland, Mickey might go with him.
I also have a question clouding my mind for awhile which is...
Is it possible for someone to be stuck in the Dream World?
3. What Will Happen in Chapter 7
Now we do know a lot of things will be brought into light during Chapter 7 (which means a lot of suffering and angst). The biggest topic Chapter 7 would tackle would be about human mortality. We know that Malleus and Lilia are both faes, which means that they'll eventually outlive everyone. Lilia has seen a lot of things in his lifetime (such as the war, serving the queen etc.) but for the case of Malleus, who only saw the castle walls his entire life and when he was the given the opportunity to go out and create relationships with humans, he was treated as an outcast.
Another factor to consider is our friendship with Malleus. We can't forget that we landed in Twisted Wonderland by accident and we're now fighting overblots and all that stuff while trying to find a way back home. For Malleus, we are literally his first friend outside Diasomnia so of course we would be really important to him. But if he gets the news that we're going back home, he wouldn't probably take it well.
Speaking of finding a way home, if Silver's UM or magic in general involves the ability of going through the Dream World and its different realms, then there could be a possibility that Silver can be the key into bringing us back home. Cuz think with me here, Twisted Wonderland as a whole feels like a dream right? Like beasts, flying brooms and magic all feel like a dream, and if Silver can actually go into different realms or whatever then he must have seen our world . Another factor could be the arrangement of dorms by chapter, well more importantly Chapter 1 and Chapter 7. Heartslabyul's story was Alice in Wonderland which is about Alice entering Wonderland, a dream, while Diasomnia's story is Sleeping Beauty, which can be related to waking up from a dream where Aurora is awoken by Prince Philip and they live their happy ever after.
If that's the case, then Malleus would try to prevent that from happening by putting everyone to sleep or perhaps out of blind rage, he unknowingly tries to kill Silver to prevent us from going home, or both could happen who knows. Now before you attack me on the killing Silver part we do know that murder is possible right? Leona tried to kill Ruggie when he OBed and Jamil really tried to murder Kalim to free himself from his servant title so that is possible as well.
If Malleus actually puts everyone to sleep then there's a chance that we might need to go the dream world and enter each of the boy's dreams to wake them up. One more thing I like to think about is what if Malleus breaks the mirror, which causes those who are in the other side of it to be stuck there until someone can find a way out. Their bodies will remain unconscious in Twisted Wonderland until their conciousness finds a way out of the mirror...
But what will happen to the other characters such as Sebek, Lilia, and Shroud Brothers?
The most common theory I've seen for Sebek is that he'll most likely be against yadi yadi yada and all that stuff. While that is possible, I highly doubt it honestly. I really want Sebek to get smacked with character development, that he's more than just a guard of Malleus, but he can also be his own person instead of just patronizing someone so much to the point it's kinda getting out of hand. Sebek is also an easily misunderstood character (I swear some of ya'll don't read his vignettes and it shows), I just really hope that Chapter 7 will explore more about his personality outside of Malleus and his personal issues, especially with his half and half thing going on and his mindset about humans, which is most likely caused by his environment. Sebek's motif is also unclear, so maybe he'll possess multiple motifs such as Maleficent's lightning and Shield of Virtue to correspond with Silver's Sword of Truth.
Ok now for Lilia, I'll be honest I'm quite unsure as to what will happen to peepaw. Yes he does set off a lot of death flags, but the "last wish" part could be interpreted as something else as well. It could mean that it will be last time Lilia will wish to the stars because there is now someone who will be the solution to that problem, which is most likely us. Lilia dying is still possible though, since a lot of games do kill off characters yet still make them playable, but then again this is also Disney so if they do kill him off, they'll most likely revive him out of nowhere so who knows 🤷♀️.
I absolutely love how smart it was for the creators to let Ignihyde help us for Chapter 7. Since Chapter 6 tackles about Death and Chapter 7 is a deeper dive into said topic, which is perfect, really. Idia knows what's it like to lose someone, and it was sudden too. So Idia would probably smack some sense into Malleus, telling him that he still has people who accept and love him for who he is, and that he should cherish them because you'll never know how important they'll become once he loses them. Since goodbyes are inevitable, it would be best to spend your time with them as if it's your last time together.
Ortho would also play a significant role in helping us defeat Malleus. If everyone is put to sleep, then Ortho probably isn't affected by it because he's a humanoid robot, and robots don't need sleep. Technology is also something Malleus isn't familiar with, so that can be used as a weakness in fighting. In terms of fighting Malleus...
Wouldn't it be more sad and painful that instead of Silver delivering the final blow, it will be us doing it? How sad will it be that Malleus's only friend is the one who has to smite him down...

Haven’t been posting Twst chapter thoughts in a while and some to future stuff for “black or white” but here we go... (Due to Spoilers from the Japanese launch and some, this is put under the cut.)
Of all the manners Chapter 7 (Diasomnia) can go... I didn’t expect this direction.
And not gonna lie, since I recently finished playing Persona 5 Royal, all the way to the new content in Royal, Chapter 7 and Malleus’s plan gave me serious deja vu’s that it half made me think “Wait, this felt familiar...”
But anyway.
I think if Chapter 6′s theme is about death, then Chapter 7′s theme is potentially meetings and partings, and fickleness of life, or rather, the concept of “Mono no Aware” in Japanese.
“Mono no Aware” in Japanese is a concept that speaks of how life is fickle and nothing last forever, but that just makes life even more beautiful.
At any rate, the chapter starts with parting, as everyone deals with the idea of Lilia potentially leaving their lives and Malleus taking the parting the hardest.
And this is where Malleus eventually contrast with Yuu (Rei) in how they deal with it.
I’ve established in a preview and also in the murder siblings AU that Yuu (Rei) lost her grandmother 8 years ago, but the thing is that Yuu (Rei) didn’t actually deal with that grief well due to some factors.
In the murder siblings AU, Yuu (Rei) got Akechi to help her out, but in the main story, she unfortunately doesn’t have anyone close enough in proximity to help. What with her cousins and people willing to help her being all the way out at Tokyo so having them come to Hokkaido and drop everything for her isn’t realistically viable.
It’s only in Twisted Wonderland that Yuu (Rei) finally could look back and start trying to move forward from it.
And yes, she was being a hypocrite to Grim in hindsight. For as much as she wants Grim to stand up for himself and be independent, Yuu (Rei) herself was dependent on her dead grandma as a guide to help her understand living in a world where people shun her for being abnormal.
At any rate, Yuu (Rei), by the point of Chapter 7, has at least started to deal with her parting with grandma better and was accepting of Lilia leaving since she was aware that nothing last forever. The hardest lesson that grandma’s death gave Yuu (Rei).
Malleus, on the other hand, hasn’t fully grasped it and the idea of losing people he care and grew fond of is... not something he is ready to face.
And there’s another difference:
Yuu (Rei) is already cynical by the time she was brought to Twisted Wonderland and it’s through understanding that reality doesn’t always let things work out that she was okay with saying goodbye to Lilia and wish him a peaceful retirement.
Malleus, despite his upbringing and education as the future king, is still emotionally a teen. A sheltered teen with one of the strongest magic in the world which made him inwardly emotionally immature than what his kingly air would suggest.
Hearing is one thing, but experiencing it all in person is another.
When Malleus first asked Yuu (Rei) and confide in it, Yuu (Rei) provided her two cents that she doesn’t believe what Malleus suggest is realistically viable when he asked if she would stay if there’s an option to stay and return home to her original world without losing the friends and family she found in one world.
Yuu (Rei) has mostly recovered her memories but she still had the same feeling since she remembered her family, that her family would be better off without her, and she’s probably gone for so long that they already moved on from her disappearance and “death”.
I say the quotations because, well, Yuu (Rei) is actually alive alive when she was brought to Twisted Wonderland and was both physically and spiritually brought to Twisted Wonderland.
In an essence, Yuu (Rei) got spirited away in the same way her grandma was once spirited away in her youth.
Now for the dream portion.
The murder siblings AU at least has Yuu (Rei) and Goro being brought to the Velvet Room for safety (And Malleus thankfully doesn’t know about the Velvet Room)
As for the main fic...
Yuu (Rei) was brought to Mickey’s dream in the same way as canon MC but she half was able to escape from Diasomnia with help from Shiro and return to Ramshackle with Grim but by that point, Malleus started to cast his magic before Yuu (Rei) can do anything.

Hi everyone! I’m back with two new groovied cards!
Grim’s ceremonial robes card and Malleus’s dorm uniform card.
Malleus took 59 card draws to get🥲

I was so happy to get Malleus’s card that I whisper-screamed.
I was doing a take-home exam in Linguistics yesterday and I drew for Malleus’s card after handing it in. That’s why I got so happy.

All of Grim’s cards so far have been for the anniversary. I don’t really mind but, I’d like him to have a card where the groovy is of him alone.

Now onto Malleus’s card!
He truly looks like the ruler of the Abyss.
I can’t stop saying how much I love his uniform and his wand design-
This card has this dark but stylish vibe that I absolutely love!

Very fitting for Malleus.
This might be foreshadowing for chapter 7.
The success part probably means that he might succeed in his goals.
I’m happy that the flowers aren’t Spider lilies at least-
I really love this groovy a lot! This is my favorite groovy so far!

Grim... It's crazy how he can sniff out blot immediate honestly. By the end of this chapter, Idek if Grim will be the same after this. Any sign of someone OBing sets him off into feral mode. Yuu is going to be so heartbroken when they find him.
Also, Idk if he broke out already, but if he hasn't, someone is going to get hurt when he does.
It'll be pretty funny if they found him gnawing on OB Idia's heels tho lmao

Speculations on Claude's difference in character in 3 Hopes vs 3 Houses
Writing this because I'm so tired of seeing so many angry comments and tweets and posts about his supposed character assassination (among other things) and because I have faith in my guy. As of writing this, I've only just finished Part 1 of Golden Wildfire and only know some tidbits from spoilers (which I willingly exposed myself to)
The main gripe people seem to have about Claude's character is to do with how forceful and unwilling to hear people out and inquire about situations and people's motives. Personally, I don't see it as character assassination but rather a different way he could have developed if he hadn't gone through White Clouds in 3 Houses or met Byleth, or hadn't had to kill his half-brother, Shahid.
What I think was the turning point for Claude's forceful and aggressive actions, was very likely the event that he killed his own brother. We see traces of 3 Houses Claude, him trying to reason with Shahid and wanting to talk things out but alas, Shahid doesn't care and Claude ultimately makes the decision to kill him. Post-battle, we see Claude is very clearly affected by that event.
6 months later, Claude reforms the Alliance into the Leicester Federation and is placed as its king.
Perhaps it's all the stress built up from the war. The Alliance has been going through battle after battle and it's taking a toll on him. It doesn't help that because he wasn't in the Academy for a year to get to know his classmates and learn to trust others, he feels like as the Alliance Leader (as of Part 1), he has to shoulder all the decisions and be responsible for everything that happens. The Roundtable Conferences don't help with his frustrations either.
Through supports and the story itself, Claude has shown signs of disdain for the Alliance's system, but he hasn't really seen the need to change it, although it is inefficient. Then Shez comes along and goes, "Hey, why don't you make yourself the sole leader so decisions will go by faster during wartime?" and it opens up a possibility he hadn't even thought about. If he becomes the sole leader and doesn't need to go through the endless circling of decisions waiting for all 5 lords to come to a unanimous decision, things will be done faster and he can do what he wants to do quicker.
Back to Shahid's death and his impact on Claude's mental state - it definitely changed him. Perhaps after making the choice to kill his own blood, he made the decision to no longer hold back. He can't be too "soft" or hesitant anymore. He needs to be more resolved in his decisions and perhaps that is why we see the Claude we see in 3 Hopes. The aggressive, cutthroat Claude who doesn't consider choosing to hear people out. This can be seen in his decision to send troops to the 3 lords' territories to create public order instead of Lorenz's suggestion to send an envoy first. Claude even says that they'll "probably make half-baked excuses anyway" and that there's no point talking things out. This is pretty much where I've left off from the game, but it's clear that Shahid's refusal to reason with him still affects him.
I do think that perhaps the writers could have shown that a bit more, but Claude is way more reserved in his emotions and willingness to express himself and it may have been difficult to show that internal turmoil. Either way, I still think calling Claude's change of character, "character assassination" is going too far especially if you don't consider the prior events and the what-if's and differences in situation and events that occur between both games.

I have a big weakness for self-aware, yandere characters so your headcanons are a miracle to me. Could you do something with Deuce where the player always compliments him whenever they get a card or see him? He is my best boy and I love him so darn much that I always louldy anounce it when I see him :,) Thank you!

The compliments you give him fuels his desire to make sure the mirror gives you his cards more often - his Dorm SSR, his Birthday Suit SSR and more!
Unfortunately, despite having a UM, his magic still isn't strong enough to really have much of an effect on the gacha system
It does mean however, that your praise has a greater effect on the blue-haired first year

Deuce has to do everything in his power to not overload in embarrassment
Yes, he's your precious boy and he hopes he won't ever lose that position
He's also especially thankful towards the developers of the game whenever he gets an event that he features in
It just means that you'll be paying more attention to him!
Deuce truly hopes that you'll always love him and that your attention and love for him doesn't wane any time soon.
If it does, he'll be truly heartbroken...

Chapter 6 Theories and Speculations That Have Popped Up From The Latest Update
Okay, I’m mostly making this post for my own sanity, but with the release of the latest part of chapter 6, everyone has been going wild with the theories based on the sudden events and lore dump we received. As such, I’m making this post as a compilation of all the common theories and speculations that I’ve been seeing so far. Disclaimer: I might forget one or two of them, and you’re free to share me your other thoughts!
EN fans who wish to not expose themselves to JP spoilers, scroll past this post. This will also be placed under a cut.

Theories and Speculations Surrounding
Ortho
As we all have seen, there is a voice from Tartarus, the place where all the phantoms are sealed, that lures Ortho to set them all free so that he can “set Big Brother (referred as nii-chan in contrast to Ortho’s nii-san) free”. The biggest and most common thought is that the voice belongs to an older Ortho who is a phantom trapped in Tartarus, as seen in the very last line of the chapter: a screen with the SSR line animation that says: “Nice to meet you, Ortho.” but note that there is the kanji 僕 under Ortho’s name, which is the pronoun “I” or “me”, indicating that the voice belongs to what may be a phantom Ortho.
Now, with that in mind, many people are speculating what led the original Ortho to be in such a position. The most common thought in regards to this is that the original Ortho overblotted because he appears to be a phantom now. It’s that simple, right?
Not quite. This update also reveals the details of the Shroud curse. Essentially, the Shroud curse eats the blot that they accumulate. It may seem like a good thing, but what happens exactly when there is no blot left? That’s when the curse eats their magical power. It’s the reason why they are gatekeepers of the underworld: the phantoms are negativity incarnate, and by surroundings themselves with those phantoms, they blot, and the curse eats that blot. As such, this renders the Shrouds unable to undergo overblot, but it traps them. They’re forced to be with the phantoms to survive.
With that in mind, how would Ortho have overblotted? Currently, the hints we have are Ortho saying to Rook and co., “Please don’t go near Tartarus… I don’t want you to end up like me.” with the last part said without the rest hearing, and Idia telling Ortho, “You know what happened when Ortho tried to leave this place.” As such, people have speculated that Ortho wandered off to Tartarus at some point. The STYX base itself was built 6 years ago by his dad, and Idia created the Cerberus system at that same time.
Many speculate that the curse didn’t work the same with Ortho that made him more susceptible to overblot than they were. Perhaps it could have been a recessive gene.
Some have speculated that Ortho was an adopted child, so he would be susceptible to blot like most mages are.
Personally, my theory is that when Ortho wandered to Tartarus, he was devoured by or even merged with a phantom that took hold of him. I imagine that it played out the same way as how Hades was devoured by the souls in the underworld at the end of the movie.
There is also speculation that there might be a second Ortho SSR coming out, only it’s his phantom. Idia’s dorm card came out on the second part of Ignihyde, which is an unusual pattern since the last dorm card typically comes out on the last part of the story. With how soon Idia’s card came out, this has led to people thinking of the possibility of a third SSR.
Idia
It has long been speculated even during the first months of Twisted Wonderland that Idia created Ortho to keep him alive. What is now being theorized is that if ever phantom Ortho resides in Tartarus, Idia is trying to find a way to save him. The research being done in STYX and Ortho being made into a robot may be what Idia is doing to save him.
There has been speculations even before chapter 6 that Ortho has medical equipment to save the original Ortho. Some have thought that when Ortho underwent the crisis that led him to his robot state, Idia created the medical robot in an attempt to save him.
Less of a theory and speculation, and more of my own observation. When the Shroud curse was brought up, Ortho said that Idia is a genius, so he can break the curse, with Idia rebutting that he can’t do that. It reminds me of Frozen, specifically Anna insisting that Elsa can melt the ice, with Elsa insisting that she can’t do that. Will Idia be able to break the curse like how Elsa was able to melt the ice? I don’t know. Personally, I really don’t think so. Twst has always provided us with happy ends, but I don’t think the curse breaking is the happy ending that Twst wants to write in. I’m open to it, though!
Future Overblot
It’s been speculated for a while that the overblot for chapter 6 would be a double overblot.
With the latest update, people are speculating that Ortho might be the one overblotting. Perhaps his robot self would be consumed by the phantoms, and he ends up as some sort of Dark Ortho phantom ringleader.
Of course, others think that it will be Idia, who is the one based on Hades. It will be hard for him to overblot, but there is a chance that he undergoes an event that traumatizes him so deeply that the blot he is accumulating is far too much for the curse to take, and so he overblots. Perhaps Ortho’s second death?
Some have also speculated the idea of Idia being forced into a position to mercykill Ortho’s phantom that would lead to his overblot.
Some also think that Idia’s overblot may be caused by a phantom taking over him, similar to how Hades was taken by the souls of the underworld. If that was also how Ortho became the way he is, that would mean that Idia would undergo the same tragedy his younger brother went through, only perhaps he may have a chance to be saved since the NRC boys are here.
Either way, I would love to see Idia’s overblot be caused by his resignation to fate. “Of course I wouldn’t be able to save Ortho, even if I tried so hard to do so. I’m always going to be trapped by this curse. I’m always bound to the string of fate.” His resignation to fate has long been hinted at ever since the game’s release (i.e. Azul’s school uniform story where Idia lets the dice control his movements in Magical Life while Azul refuses to let the dice control him), but it is especially evident in this chapter such that Vil lectures him on not taking action.
There is also a thought that it may not even be an overblot we’re going to face but something else.
Grim
Idia explained that he analyzed Grim’s fire, and he found traces of strong magic within him. However, the magic seems to be so old and ancient, dating as far back as 1000 years, that not even the STYX’s supercomputer can process it. Ortho has also mentioned that Grim has something akin to the Shroud curse, and this is seen also in the way that Grim eats the blot stones.
Common speculation has it that he is a phantom who was sealed away due to the strength of his power until recently. Some are also thinking that he may be a mix of an animal and a phantom with bits of the Shroud curse for unknown reasons.
Some are also thinking that Grim has ties to the Great Seven due to the 1000 year old magic. Aside from that, it’s being brought up that the blot stones that he had been consuming could also have traces of that old magic. Which would also lead to the idea that the souls of the OB boys contain some bits of the Great Seven, but that’s another theory for another day.
There is also speculation that Grim may be a rare species of magical beasts that used to roam around the earth during the Age of the Gods.
Grim mentioned in chapter 4 that he woke up in a cold and dark place. In the prologue, specifically the scene with Crowley, ice is one of the four magical elements seen on the mirror. Furthermore, phantoms are caged in ice. This has been used as evidence for the possibility of Grim being a sealed phantom who escaped from Tartarus.
Chapter 7
With how dramatic and stressful chapter 6 has been, people are now wondering how bad could chapter 7 be?
STYX has this fancy thing called the Lethe, which is used to wipe out all memories related to STYX and Idia’s involvement with it. In the latest update, Idia mentions that he’ll use it on not just the students who have visited but also on the entire Sage Island. Interestingly, he mentions that faes will be affected in a different way should the Lethe touch them and specifies Malleus.
This has led to several people wondering if the Lethe will be involved in some way that would cause the events of chapter 7. What would the Lethe do to faes like Malleus and Lilia? Would Sebek also be affected as well? Or will Idia not use the Lethe at all in the end, and chapter 7 starts out without any involvement of it?

Only 2 parts left after this 😮💨 I think I'll post the final chapter after I watch MoM. There won't be spoilers from the movie though. It'll only be the storyline I wrote for Wanda. Before I watch MoM, I'm rewatching WandaVision. That show was lit! This chapter deals with Book 4 of twst. JFC, I planned a maximum of 2k but it became 3k lol

What if MC is Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch? - Part 5
After the finals ended, the winter break came. Wanda told her friends about how she feels when there is chaos around her yet she didn't know why. She decided to withhold some of the information until she was fully aware of who she was.
The unspoken tension between her and her friends eased a bit but it was still there. She assumed her powers freaked them out.
Between the time when she defeated Azul and winter break, she questioned Idia regarding Ortho and his body and Hades. He was reluctant to answer her questions about Ortho but he was over the moon to tell her everything about Hades, including his diet.
She noticed the similarity between the Hades she knew and the one in Twisted Wonderland. Both made deals in exchange for the soul of the person, were powerful beings, could take the shape of someone else and ruled the underworld. However, this Hades seemed to be stuck in one dimension. Her research on the matter ended there until she got her full memories.
Wanda knew she should respect people's privacy but she had to learn how Ortho is still a living person despite the android body. It would be helpful for the person she longed for. So when she asked about Ortho again, she read Idia's mind and learned the truth. Since her beloved didn't have a soul like Ortho had, his android technology would be worthless for her.
Despite having ulterior motives, she felt sympathy for Idia's loss for she knew the pain of losing a sibling. It felt like someone tore her heart out and crushed it in front of her. No... Pietro is alive now! The Voice said. Given how she thought the Voice was speaking while she was actually speaking out loud, she now considered The Voice to be herself with full memories, helping Wanda to reclaim all of her powers and memories.
Recently, as more of her memories surfaced, some of them clashed with each other. In one of them, she was with Pietro in every step of her path but in the other, she lost Pietro. In one of her memories, her father controlled metal whilst in the other, he was an ordinary guy who brought sitcoms to cheer up his children. She decided to be patient with her memories and not rush them.
Whilst everyone was preparing for the winter break, including the principal, she was pestering Dire to explain the black stones after the overblot fight and her premonitions. He was acting elusive and saying he was busy.
She learned why he was busy at the start of the break. He went to a holiday resort. He only gave her a phone and assignment and then yeeted away. She bid her farewells to her friends and exchanged numbers. They all seemed happy to go back home which made her yearn for her home as well. Although, she still couldn't understand which place was her home.
Her powers were improving daily. Now she was able to apparate to the other end of the NRC but she should know the layout to avoid apparating inside a tree or another object. She was easily making shield and attack practice targets now.
Things were boring until Grim and Wanda went to the kitchen of the cafeteria and met with Scarabia students. Jamil looked too nice for NRC which made her uneasy. He invited her and Grim to his dorm but she wanted to refuse until he used his magic.
Their eyes were locked when he said she would accept the invitation. She felt a familiar tug in her mind. Mind control... Wanda smirked at the irony. Although she couldn't mind-control directly, when she wished for something it happened, whether it was human or object. She was going to entertain his game since the things were boring and she needed a break from all the new information she learned recently.
They all went to Scarabia and met Kalim. Despite Wanda feeling gloomy recently, Kalim's positive aura rubbed on Wanda's mood. They ate together and played a game. They were also invited to stay the night which they accepted. However, the next day, Kalim's personality shifted 180.
She didn't like his new persona and thought he either had multiple personalities or his behaviour was changed by someone else. Hence, she took a peek inside his mind and saw an abnormality. His mind was shackled and something else was in charge as if that thing was the puppet master while Kalim was a marionette.
She thought Jamil was the one doing it since she felt him trying to command her mind. So she confronted him. He denied obviously. Given his attitude, she didn't feel bad about reading his mind. It was harder than the others but his mind powers couldn't hold a candle to hers.
She went to tell this to everyone but he tried to stop her. Seeing his unique magic not work on her pissed him off further. He reached to grab her. When she dodged, he attacked her with his magic. Wanda's shield appeared in front of her even though she didn't lift a finger. She took a risk like that but its result was rewarding.
She then blasted him back. While he was recovering, she reached where Kalim and the other students are. She began to tell them everything but Jamil soon appeared and used his unique magic on the rest of the students. She didn't know how to break the mind control of the others yet, so she grabbed Grim and ran away. She could have easily handled the entire dorm but she didn't want to harm them since they weren't acting out of their free will.
She also didn't know if she could apparate with Grim without hurting him so they had to leave physically. As many students surrounded them, she decided to use the Flying Carpet to escape. She was excellent at levitating objects but the Flying Carpet had its own consciousness so she wasn't able to control it and they crashed into the Mostro Lounge. The trio was still there. Wanda and Grim were followed by Scarabia students. Not liking them invading their territory, the trio fought them. Despite Wanda's warning about not going hard on them neither listened to her.
After the commotion calmed down, Wanda explained to them the situation. Azul seemed to want to get involved in it and the twins looked as willing as Azul. So the trio dragged them back to Scarabia, spewing some bullshit on how he didn't mean to cause trouble for Scarabia, how lonely it was in the Octavinelle and why they want to spend time with the Scarabia. Despite Jamil suspecting them, the trio along with Wanda and Grim stayed in a Scarabia room even though they were 4 people and Grim in a small room.
Azul, Floyd, Jade and Grim were discussing what to do while Wanda was thinking of a way to break the mind-control. They agreed to record what Jamil would say and when his magic on the mind-controlled students was gone, they would show the video to them. She agreed with the plan but she wanted to have a backup plan. Plus, she would know if she could also control people like that, it'd be useful power for her.
She started to meditate in the room but since she was focusing on the mind, she couldn't black out the thoughts of her roommates. She looked outside from the window and saw there was no one outside. She let them know that she was going to meditate and come back later on. She apparated onto the opening she saw and started to meditate.

Now wait a damn second!
Hana…SEVENTY-FIVE (75) CHAPTERS IS BOOK 5?! Broken down in THREE (3) PARTS?! I went on the JP Wiki just to see if we this latest story release was it or if we were gonna get a Part 3. Seems like BK4 only has 41 chapters but my curiosity got the better of me so I had to look at how much BK5 have and where JP is at for BK6…
Let me tell you, I’m not lying when I said I suddenly felt so faint after reading that? That’s a lot! I was thinking maybe 50, but no they just jumped to 75. Who knows how long BK6/7 will be 😭 damn near 150, just watch!
This is hell. I joined right towards the end of BK3, right before the culinary crucible started, so I got lucky to just binge everything. Is this how it always is?! So much waiting, so much banners, events, and gems?! Cuz May is looking crazy packed if you ask me! And I barely have enough gems to pull one time for Jamil’s banner. This is hell!!

Yes, the recent update is the last part of book 4. Book 5 is really long, but there is good reason for that. Without going into spoiler territory, NRC has an event (like it always does lol) and its’ a big one. You see almost every character almost one at least, and they are involved in one way or another. Plus, as the story goes on, the world building and the characters expand, so to juggle all this, it is expected that the number of parts will change too.
Honestly, I kind of see it as a good thing? Like, more art means more time with our favorite characters and more lore released. I would recommend taking it at your own pace though, read the story when you want and take your time. More parts also mean more gems to pull for our favorite characters too lol
Book 6 is nearing its end, but I'm not sure how long it is yet. We’ll find that out soon in May. Book 7, I wouldn't be surprised that its so long either because we barely know any background back any diasomnia characters and with the way book 6 went and the hints I wouldn't be surprised about it being long. more pain for the diasomnia fans since we have been starved for content so they will probably blast all the pain at us 😭😂
I cant speak for EN server, because they have been pretty consistent with their updates. (which I personally think they should slow down on because preference) They have either and event or a main story update once a month, or both. Which means consistent release for those that prefer that.
I can see how it may be daunting but JP server has more waiting than the EN server does, COVID really hit them and slowed down the progress and they are recoverign from that. I do prefer hiatus periods because gem saving is a must for f2p.
My advice to you anonie is, choose a few characters you love and only pull for them, save gems until you have enough to hit pity before pulling, only pull when you need to, take break from the game if you need to, and go at your own pace.
There is no rush at all, Twisted Wonderland is a game you should play at your own time and pace. It is made for the working adult to casually play. if you need to, then rake a break. I know many people rush the instant that a new update comes out but that is their preference, if you want to slow down then please do so.I go at my own pace and do my own thing because at the end of the day, its a game that's supposed to be fun and enjoyable. ☺️🌺

TWST Theory : Grim The Jabberwocky-Deep Analysis Based on Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass

CONTAINS SPOILER CHAPTER 6
I was talking about Yuu, today I'm going to talk about the other Ramshackle dorm resident who's going to overblot in the future, our cute furbaby Grim.
In chapter 6 Idia did a research on Grim and this is one of Grim's test result :
People assumed that Grim is Cerberus, the keeper of underworld. But when you look at him Grim is more of a cat beast rather than dog beast. But there's other possibility what Grim might be. We know that Grim is combination of beast and animal so I'm going to break it down and explain his animal part and his beast part one by one.
-Grim's Animal Part : Alice's Black Cat-
Had it crossed your mind why Grim is a cat and not any other animal? If it's true that Twisted Wonderland and Ramshackle dorm is based on Through The Looking Glass, that's because Grim is most likely based on Alice's black cat from said book by Lewis Carroll.
In the future, it's Grim who's going to overblot, which means he is the "main villain" from Ramshackle just like Malleus from Diasomnia because he represents Maleficent. But why I said Grim is Alice's black cat? Because that black cat is "The Red Queen", who is the final "villain" of Through The Looking Glass.
Alice goes back to her original world after she shakes Red Queen which turns out to be her black cat, which also means she needs to "defeat" the Red Queen (her black cat) to return back to her original world. Probably similar with Yuu who need to defeat Grim to go home.
-Grim's Beast Part : Jabberwocky-
What is Jabberwocky? Jabberwocky is a poem Alice found when she enters the mirror world. It's a poem that's written in backwards, therefore she would need a mirror to read it from its reflection. It's also the first poem and is also at the very first page of Through The Looking Glass book by Lewis Carroll before the story begins.
Who did we meet first right after we enter the Dark Mirror after we were guided by Crowley's voice? That's right, it's overblot Grim.
Jabberwocky is a nonsense poem about a heroic boy slaying a creature named Jabberwock. It's made of 'portmanteaus' : a word made up of other words. The new word can be derived from usual english word or the combination of two words. Just like chimera, which is a single organism that's made up of cells from two or more "individuals". Which explains why overblot Grim is a chimera.
When Alice found the poem, she didn't know the meaning of those portmanteaus, but in the book, Carroll had Humpty Dumpty explain it to her. But right now I'll explain some of those portmanteaus based on what Lewis Carroll said himself. Below are some examples of the portmanteaus and their meanings :
From JP fandom side, someone made a theory that Overblot Grim is the combination of all 7 dorms. And we can see that here.
If you look closely, Jabberwocky consists of seven quatrains. How many official dorms in NRC and how many students are overblotting? That's right, it's seven.
Some also said that Grim has something to do with the time loop. Jabberwocky has a rhyme scheme of (ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ KLKL ABAB)
Notice how the rhyme repeats at the first and final stanzas? And the two quatrains of the first and the last are mirror images to one another. Moreover, Jabberwocky can be seen as an inverse mirror image of itself through it's distinguishable beginning and ending. Pretty much like how the time loop is, going back from the final to the beginning.
Additional (after thoughts) :
This is purely just my assumption and I don't have any evidence of it, but I have a feeling that Grim is the cause of why there's something called blot.
In chapter 6, Idia wasn't so sure about Grim's amount of blot, that's because someone was casting a 1000 year old primitive, ancient magic on Grim to cleanse blot, pretty much like the curse in Idia's family, which is a curse from "The Age of Gods" (and Idia said he could only examine the outer layer of it, since there are many ancient magic on Grim that even with S.T.Y.X super computer it will need 100 years to finish it)
From chapter 6, it's hinted that Idia captured the overblotting NRC students because of an anonymous request from someone.
And suspiciously (again) Crowley seems to know something about Grim...

Träumerei (RPG Maker Horror) - Part 2 | Flare Let’s Play:

Welcome to the finale of Chapter 0 in @traumerei-project, an rpg maker horror game created in RPG Maker VX Ace by @aveynn. Sidescrolling platform along with dark, horror and fantasy related events, Noël traverses through his own dream in order to recollect the memories he has lost.
One day, a young boy wanders into the woods with only the twisted, mangled remnants of dreary branches obscuring the bleak horizon. As the sun starts to set beneath ruby-red clouds, the boy, Noël, happens upon a desolate cross-bridge atop a river of blood. Upon crossing over it, he finds himself standing by a gate wrought from stone.
Confronted by the fantasies his beloved grandmother read to him as a child, the boy finds himself lost in a dark 'Wonderland.' However, all is not that it seems.
While exploring, Noël must gather the memories of those forsaken souls who roam lest their hearts shatter.
Storytelling within Träumerei matches the artistic beauty of the game, which is nothing short of really high quality. However, with only three save slots, the ability to backtrack without starting the game again is restricted. Part 3 of my let's play on Träumerei will be starting on the next release.
