Since now we have Tsum Silver in JP, I just want Lilia to go through absolute baby fever.
HE NEEDS TO TREAT SILTSUM LIKE HIS BABY ALL OVER AGAIN!!!
" . . . I suppose I might have known," Lilia hums, a playful smile tugging at his lips as he lounges against the doorframe and crosses his arms. "Is this where you've been hiding all along, hm? You've given him quite the scare, you know— he's running frantic all around the castle grounds trying to find where you've wandered off to all on your own."
Nestled between the bat-patterned bedsheets and carelessly scattered homework assignments, Silver's tsum blinks sleepily up at him, the picture of unrepentant, bleary innocence. It makes no move to wriggle itself out of the cozy little burrow, and Lilia's grin only softens. In a funny way, he's all too suddenly reminded of those early cottage days— of Silver buried so far into his quilts during the bitterly cold Briar Valley winter, that stubborn tuft of moonlit hair poking out from the blankets like a beacon, a lighthouse drawing Lilia close until he could wrap the child up in the warmth of his arms instead and pepper his giggling face with good morning kisses.
A strange pang pricks his heart at the memory, and Lilia shakes his head with affected disappointment at the once again dozing creature, rubbing a hand absentmindedly against his chest. "I ought to scold you for distressing him so," he mutters with no real heat behind the words, floating the short distance over to the bed and settling down among the mess. "He's a good child, too good for his own heart. I won't have you causing him any grief, no matter how adorable you are— do you hear me?"
A gentle poke to the tsum's plushy cheek begets no response, not that Lilia was truly expecting any with how eerily similar the creature resembled his son in not just looks, but behavior. It merely snored on in complete disregard to Lilia's words, and yet somehow . . . Lilia could swear it looked even more at peace than it had moments prior. Up close like this, if he ignored the uniform tucked around its tiny body, he could believe that he'd somehow found himself seventeen years in the past. He could believe that they were tucked away in the serene safety of their forest home, and that he was once again watching in the dumbfounded awe of a parent in breathless admiration of their baby's first slumber.
Deep in the pocket of his uniform jacket, Lilia can hear his phone buzzing, texts no doubt from Silver asking if his father has had any luck scouting out the dormitory for his wayward tsum. He'll text him back, of course he will— he doesn't want to prolong his son's distress anymore than it already has. But for now, for a moment, he can't bring himself to glance away from the tsum happily sleeping in his bed— perhaps it just might open its eyes and look at him. Perhaps it might yawn, stretching tiny, perfect little arms and sharing a crooked, perfect little smile under those silvery bedhead bangs.
"Good morning, Toto! I had the most interesting dream last night, do you want to hear about it?"

And now for the million dollar question: Do Lilia and Tsum Lilia have their own rivalry on who Silver snuggles up to more when the sleeping curse hits?
"Have care, Lilia," Malleus begins sotto voce, an embedded note of deep amusement apparent only to those who could claim centuries of friendship. "That particular expression is not very 'cute', as you would say. One might even think you're the second coming of General Vanrouge, though certainly that is altogether impossible."
Lilia merely tosses him a disgruntled scowl and wedges himself further into the second most comfy armchair in the Diasomnia common room, the first having been stolen by their little interloper. The strange creature had been quite the wonderful prankster-in-arms at first, but now, Lilia is feeling downright mutinous as he watches it snuggle gleefully with a napping Silver by the emerald glow of the fireplace, a smugness radiating from its tiny plushy body at a rate unprecedented.
"You're to be congratulated, dear prince," he mutters back in a tone that promises anything but. "How wonderful for you to have at long last discovered a sense of humor."
The young heir seated beside him flashes his fangs in a bold grin, delighting rather unfairly in the plight unfolding in their home away from home. "I see no reason for your dampened disposition," Malleus slides his gaze over once more to the cuddled pair, a rare emotion softening the sharp edges of his features. "After all, is it not a compliment that in all manners of worlds, the boy naturally seeks his father?"
To any one else, the wistful edge of his words might have gone unnoticed; Lilia, however, shifts slightly in his seat and falls silent. They're still so young, Malleus and Silver— painfully so. Malleus has only just begun to grasp the rushing tides of humanity, the lives that slip between their fingers faster than grains of sand. He has yet to understand that when Lilia looks upon his son now, he sees not an adorable moment, but a memory stolen away between the real father and son, one more scrap of time erased from his rapidly ticking clock.
He does not know how to tell them yet— how much of a greedy, insatiable fae he truly is, to want claim of every moment that his son still needs his father. That still, after nearly eighteen years, he's not fully memorized the colors and patterns that break across Silver's eyes when he scrunches them before waking. That soon, he may not have that chance ever again.
Malleus is waiting for an answer, brows growing closer and closer together the longer that Lilia remains silent, so he affects an exaggerated sigh to placate the younger fae, placing his chin into the palm of his hand as he keeps watch over the two slumbering figures. "A compliment of the highest order indeed," he murmurs, utterly underserving of Silver's grace.
Still, he must wonder; in all manners of the world, would he too, seek his son?

!! CHAPTER 7 / DIASOMNIA ARC SPOILERS !!
Ok this is definitely my favorite part in the recent update now let's go to it (Part 3):
Idia wakes up in the Underworld with Phantom! Ortho who's now the third person who's claiming that he's his brother and Idia is so just damn confused like I feel you bro I'd go insane too 😭😭😭. That's when Phantom! Ortho gets weirded out by the idea of him going to RSA because he's like there's no way he's be there when he's in hell and has friends down there. That's when Idia gets hit with the flashback of Ortho's death 🙁
Phantom! Ortho tells Idia not to blame himself for what happened because they still have the dream to fulfill together and during that Idia remembers everything and we just get this sad moment altogether
But then Idia says that no matter what, he's going to save Ortho. But Phantom! Ortho says that there's no way for him to get out of hell AND THEN WE GET IDIA WITH RED HAIR MOMENT
Then Idia proceeds to imagine the best version of himself WHICH IS HIS FUCKING OVERBLOT VERSION?????
LIKE WE LITERALLY PROVE PHANTOM! ORTHO WRONG BY FIGHTING HIM AS AN OVERBLOT THAT'S SO INSANE
Idia defeats Ortho thus winning the fight which proves that he's the King of the Underworld, and then Idia does a lot of those villain laughs that he ends up coughing 😭😭😭 (why is Idia so damn funny in this update I can't). Idia uses his UM to escape and we get this last message from Phantom! Ortho that he wishes him luck and that the universe is waiting for him (STOP IT I DON'T WANNA BE SAD)
So the dreams do in fact loop cuz now we're back to the dream with RSA!Ortho where Idia tells him that he ain't believing him anymore and that his real brothers are the ones that attend NRC and the phantom 🥲🥲🥲
Ok but when Idia said "I'll decide MY happy ending" that shit rerally hit so hard
That's when Idia connects back to OG! Ortho and apologizes for hurting him but Ortho said it's fine because he went to space after the close call when battling Malleus, it's just a really wholesome moment
Until Ortho explains to Idia everything that went down and the fact that Mama Shroud had to go through his computer to make the Cerberus gear AND IDIA JUST PROCEEDS TO CRY BUT ORTHO TELLS HIM THAT THEIR MOM DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING. THEN IDIA IS NOW FUELED WITH REVENGE TO GET BACK AT MALLEUS CUZ HIS MOM WENT THROUGH HIS FOLDERS NAURRR
And that's where the update ends, apparently it's only 16 parts in all which is really short but we still got a lot of lore dumping. I might come up with some analysis/theories once I'm free but that's all I got for now guys!!!

!! CHAPTER 7 / DIASOMNIA ARC SPOILERS !!
Let's keep going guys (Part 2):
Papa Shroud had to stop Ortho from going after Idia, because the Ortho in Idia's dream is not what Idia remembers in reality. Papa Shroud tells Ortho to explain to Idia about the dream worldsince he's not aware that he's actually dreaming. But Ortho says he's not worried (which shocks both parents) because Idia would be probably amazed at seeing a humanoid AI (this made me giggle)
So Ortho enters Idia's dream, and Idia sees a video call request which he answers. STOP IDIA GETS OVERWHELMED CUZ HE THOUGHT ORTHO WAS COSPLAYING 😭😭😭. But Idia notices that Ortho calls him "Nii-san" and Ortho tells him that he is in fact the real Ortho (aka the humanoid AI), but Idia is in denial that he's real until Ortho points out for him that he noticed that the world is off.
Ortho tells Idia that he needs him to save the world together. Which causes Idia to go insane cuz a humanoid boy on his computer is asking HIM for help to save the world. When Ortho tells Idia that it's all a dream, the dream itself starts to distort. That's when RSA! Ortho calls and tells Idia that OG! Ortho is a lie, which pretty much causes Idia to go thru a crisis not knowing who to believe
Also guys the sprite for RSA! Ortho is uhhhh
It's giving uncanny valley amped up to 11
Ok going back RSA! Ortho tries to tell Idia that he's simply tired but OG!Ortho tries to snap Idia out of it but then Idia gets dragged into the darkness
And once Idia gets consumed by the darkness, he goes back to the first time we see Idia's dream where it was the opening ceremony with Malleus (so i guess it's kinda looping???). But before Malleus can lead him to the Mirro Chamber a ball of light appears WHICH CAUSES IDIA TO HIDE BEHIND MALLEUS AND SAY THE RANDOMEST SHIT EVER I CAN'T 💀💀💀
TURN OUT THAT WAS CERBERUS ORTHO SAYING THAT HE FOUND IDIA and of course Malleus is not happy and wonders how did someone like Ortho find his way into the dream world. Orthos answers that question by replying that he works just like a ghost, who have the ability to go dimension hopping.
MALLEUS IS SO MAD LMAOOO AND PROCEEDS TO CALL ORTHO AN ANNOYING MECHANICAL DOLL AND THEY START FIGHTING AGAIN AND IDIA IS JUST THERE CONFUSED CUZ A STYX ROBOT AND AN OVERBLOT ARE JUST FIGHTING EACH OTHER TO THE DEATH 😭😭😭
That's when the darkness reappears again because Ortho, the outlier, interfered with the dream. Malleus leaves Idia to get consumed (again) and Ortho desperately holds on to him. But Mama Shroud tells Ortho that he shouldn't try to save Idia, because if he gets consumed, he will be lost in the darkness. So Ortho had no choice but to let go...
Chopping this off again because I believe the next part deserves its own section, and I really need to make that damn paper so stay tuned!

!! CHAPTER 7 / DIASOMNIA ARC SPOILERS !!
Hi I just got home, so let's get to it (Part 1):
Picking up where we left off, where the main gang meet up with Idia. Sebek thought that all of them were awake in the real world but Idia was like "nah we're still stuck in the dream world"
I completely forgot that Idia barely touches grass (joke) in the main story so he introduces himself to the Silver and Sebek and when Sebek introduces himself Idia got scared cuz of how loud he was 😭
Since Idia's awake, Silver immediately goes on defense thinking that the darkness or even Malleus will attack. But then, Ortho comes on screen (like literally he appears on a monitor) telling the gang that they don't have to worry about that for a while.
Edit: There's this one part I legit forgot to add which I will now cuz it's funny where Silver and Sebek were just sandwiching Idia and Idia's says something along the lines of getting hurt from being squeezed between armor (Sebek) and HARD MUSCLES (Silver) LIKE WE GET IT IDIA WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE
Ortho then explains to the rest about how he managed to escape the dream world and transfer his consciousness to STYX. Although he's not able to conjur Unique Magic because he's not a mage, but rather a humanoid robot, he still has his unique perks (aw that's cute)
Flashback Time: So we have Cerberus Ortho investigating the current situation of Sage Island, trying to prevent the thorns from spreading as well as break through the shield, which is apparently much harder than the open gates of the Underworld. But don't worry guys the Shroud Parents are also there to help him out.
Ortho was given a 20 minute time limit to analyze Malleus's magic, because once those 20 minutes are up he shuts down, which was difficult. UNTIL THE MAN OF THE HOUR MALLEUS APPEARS, who's surprised that Ortho was awake. But Ortho tells Malleus that he simply switched bodies cuz he's an AI, which is something Malleus probably doesn't understand (damn AHAHAHAHAHA)
Knowing that he needed to buy some for the machinery thingies (idk what they're called don't even ask) to collect the needed data, Ortho challenges Malleus. Malleus admires the fact Ortho can keep his sanity for so long, thinking that it's the pinnacle of technology. It was a crazy battle, with Ortho losing one of his dogs
OH MALLEUS I LOVE YOU BUT YOU BITCHHHH (mostly the latter btw)
Ortho's running out of time, with only 30 seconds left and Malleus is about is to put him to sleep. he says he's sorry to his parents NOOOO
BUT SOMETHING HAPPENS, the attack stops; STYX came in just in time to intervene. The Shroud parents uses their drones to attack Malleus's shield and Ortho uses a full blast to get him out of Sage Island and land himself back to STYX and we get this moment of the Shrouds (minus Idia) collapsing into each other's arms.
MALLEUS NO
Ortho regains consciousness after awhile and tells his parents that he's guilty the the two robot dogs were destroyed (oh yeah forgot to mention the other one was destroyed too whoopsie), but Mama Shroud said that they can just repair them and we just have this heartfelt moment in the family.
That is, until Papa Shroud brings up that the magic used by Malleus reminds him of the ancient magic surrounding Grim. Another thing is that it's downright impossible to destroy Malleus's realm from the outside UNLESS Malleus himself disappears. They can't destroy the realm by force either because it will also permamnently lock all victims inside of it. The only thing they can do is to be as persuasive as possible to let Malleus let go of everyone (but trust me when I say I don't think that will work)
So they bring up Maleficia as someone who can persuade Malleus, but Mama Shroud has something else in mind and shows Ortho a live from Idia's dream, which is when he notices something was off. It's possible that she found a way to access everyone's dreams (and let's just say Idia is just like his mum). That;s when Ortho realizes what his mom meant, and that is to find a way to get everyone to wake up and find a way to disrupt the dream world.
Okay Ima end the first part here for now, sorry this took awhile guys I had lots of things to do the moment I got home 😭. But I promise to get things out as quick as I can (I still have a reflection paper to speedrun lmao)

When I got home I proceeded to take pics of my fave scenes (which are way too many if I dump it all here) and honestly tho, some scenes made me feel things cuz it's really different in game and to have it done in manga style? It gave me goosebumps fr
OKAY STOP IT TURNS OUT THAT THE TWST MANGA IS IN FULLY BOOKED ALREADY AND MY FRIEND FOUND IT
she wasn't able to find book 1 help that's fine I already know what happens
And my friend was like "hey Rany want me to buy this for you" and I replied " girl u sure that's usually expensive" AND APPARENTLY 727 PESOS IS A PRICE SHE'S WILLING TO PAY (well really her dad's paying) BUT STILL SHE JUST SAID "I saw this and it reminded me of you so yeah"
And she really did buy it guys, I'm gonna get the book on tuesday when I get back to school
I really don't deserve her as a friend but that's by far the sweetest thing I heard this evening, I love her so much 😭🩵
