you would've thought it would be easy to avoid using/propagating high school bully type mockery even if the words "NFT" or "AI" or "tiktok" are attached. on the queer disabled neurodivergent site. and yet and goddamn yet
it's so transparent that whenever some new Bad Thing comes out and it's tumblr's topic of discussion for the week most people don't know/care/care to learn about its actual harmful effects and just want to use it as a way to find socially acceptable people to bully (for low hanging fruit i.e. reactionary reasons)

Hello, world!
Well, I'm here because the bird site is going through what may or may not prove to be death throws, as I know many new users are. I was probably the peak tumblr age when tumblr itself was at its peak, but I missed that whole thing being depressed and using a flip phone. So maybe now's my time?
I have this idea that this will finally be the start of me getting more focused about actually doing the fiction writing I've been passionate about since elementary (primary) school. But ADHD's a monster so we'll see. Maybe being in a public forum and therefore having the potential ability to get positive reinforcement and that sweet, sweet dopamine will make it more achievable? We'll see. So...follow if you might enjoy short fictions/ramblings about wildlife, trans stuff, disability stuff, and whatever else I feel inspired about :)

writeblr intro!
Hello! My name is Phoenix (though you can also call me Nix). This is my writeblr (and also my main so I occasionally post other stuff here too)!
Feel free to tag me in tag games and send me asks if you'd like, I don't bite!
A little more about me:
In my 20s
Nonbinary (he/they pronouns)
Queer and on the aroace spectrum
Neurodivergent/disabled (autism, ADHD, and some other stuff)
My fiancee also has a writeblr that I highly recommend following, here's her intro post!
What I write:
Young adult, science fiction, and fantasy
Currently I have two WIPs
The first WIP is Heroic, a young adult novel about teenage superheroes (no intro post yet, and this one is currently on the backburner while I focus on Quantum Immortality)
Second WIP is Quantum Immortality (intro post), and it's a science fiction novel about an amnesiac stuck in a time loop where he dies at the end (this is the one I'm currently drafting)
My stories pretty much always have LGBTQ+ main characters, and often feature polyamorous relationships
I also write random articles about whatever catches my interest over at Medium, I might share ones on writing here at some point
I occasionally write fanfiction as well, maybe I'll share that here at some point but who knows
What I read:
Honestly not sure how to describe my taste in books, but I like genres like YA, science fiction, fantasy, you name it
I'm a massive fan of the Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir which should tell you all you need to know about me
Currently I am rereading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series
You can find me on Storygraph as well (like Goodreads but not owned by Amazon! pretty neat site)
Other places you can find me:
Bluesky
Witchy Tumblr
Ko-fi
Mastodon

To what purpose, April, do you return again? (or: finally, a pinned post for April)
Hi all. I'm Jessie Lynn McMains, aka Rust Belt Jessie. I'm an Xennial/Elder Millenial (please don't call me a Geriatric Millenial, thank you) writer/artist/zine-maker/etc. (I wear many hats.) I'm queer and nonbinary/genderfluid, and as far as pronouns go, I’m okay with any human pronoun (they and she are my most-used, but I like he, too, and I especially like it when people switch up the pronouns they use for me). I’m disabled and neurodivergent.
I live with my partner and our two kiddos, both of whom are also neurodivergent, and right now I’m supporting all of us on whatever money I earn. I do freelance copywriting and editing as my main thing, but I also make a decent chunk of my income from selling my zines and books and pins and whatever else I make, so the more I sell, the better able I am to pay bills and take care of my family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Through my Ko-fi, you can buy my zines and books (I have both poetry and prose available) and pins, as well as commission me to make you a music-inspired mini-collage or hire me to edit your own writing. Or also just throw me a few bucks if you appreciate the content I make available for free.
If you live outside the US (I can only ship within the US via Ko-fi, because setting up shipping for multiple countries is a pain the butt), or just prefer to purchase something or donate via a different platform, I also have PayPal and Venmo (@ JessieLynnMcMains).
I also have a Substack newsletter. I try to send something out at least once a month. Sometimes it's a longer piece about music and nostalgia (I recently started a series called These Fucking Songs, for just that purpose), sometimes it's just updates on what I'm up to, sometimes it's something else. I'm currently working on one about poetry, and my writing process, and revision.
Tumblr media
As if that weren't enough, this month I'm doing a 30/30 on the Tupelo Press site, which not only means I have to write a poem every day to be posted the next day, but I am also fundraising for Tupelo Press. My goal is to raise $350 by the end of the month. You can follow along with my daily poems here (the newest is always at the top; scroll down to read previous days), and the fundraising page is here. (I'm also offering some cool incentives for people who donate; more info about all that is available on the fundraising page.)
I'm pro-trans, pro-vaccine, pro-sex worker, pro-abortion, pro-Black Lives Matter. I'm for harm reduction for any drug user or addict, meaning I want them to be able to use drugs as safely as possible, rather than forcing them into rehab or incarcerating them. I'm anti-censorship and anti-fascist. I believe everyone, everyone, should have a safe place to sleep and enough to eat without having to earn it. I consider myself an anarcho-socialist, basically, but I do vote. I'm telling you all that because if you are vehemently against any of those things, we'll probably not get along.
Tumblr media
I'm a forever-goth/punk who loves all kinds of music. (Things on heavy rotation for me as I write this are: The Replacements, Einstürzende Neubauten, and Oliver Nelson.) I'm femme but I'm a disaster femme; when I use nailpolish it's always sloppy and/or chipped, when I wear eyeliner it's always crooked and/or smeared, and I am incapable of not ripping a hole or two in every pair of tights and stockings I own. I love art and film and theater and literature and music. I'm a Shakespeare stan, I love growing my own vegetables, I collect souvenir pennies and stick and poke tattoos. I'm always a slut in theory, even when not always in practice. I'm perpetually nostalgic, melancholy, and restless. I spend all my free time posting pictures of myself on the internet and trying to prove I'm punk to anyone that'll listen.
Want more Jessie content? There's my website (still under construction, but it exists). Or you could try searching the my writing, my art, Jessie Lynn McMains, or Rust Belt Jessie tags on this blog. I also have a side blog, where I tend to post more frequently than I do on this blog. If you ask nice, I'll probably give you the URL.
On that note, my DMs and asks are open, and, as of right now, anon is on.
I think that's it! As always, whether you can send any $$ my way (or to my fundraiser) currently or not, keeping this post circulating helps. Thanks much. 🖤

so are you back on tumblr after a while or you're new? welcome! it's a lot nicer here lately, and, shockingly enough, the website actually works a lot better too, thanks to the hard work of a bunch of very talented people. the mobile app is constantly improving, but if you're on desktop and used to use things like missing e or xkit, the latest helpful extension is XKIT REWRITTEN, which you can go download and read about at @addons that was created by @april, who worked on new xkit back in the day and now works at tumblr itself!
here's some other helpful tips to know:
PLEASE REBLOG THINGS. it's the main form of engagement here. there is no penalizing for spam interaction, most people are not looking at your blog directly, and it is the main way people find you and you find good content to follow. for original content like fanart and fanfic, it also REALLY helps people out. likes are better for like, personal posts, and for storing things for later. also, it doesn't matter if you blog is a jumble of things - it's yours, nobody cares, and that's kind of the purpose of the site
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PROFILE PHOTO, BANNER PHOTO, AND UNIQUE URL (that isnt like a bunch of numbers or something), or else people will think you are a bot and block you. you don't have to do anything fancy, you can use the default tumblr theme on your blog itself, but just make sure you look like a real account PLEASE
DO NOT CENSOR WORDS. much like on twitter, if you censor a word for a trigger, it will do the opposite of what you want - people's blacklist and mute functions won't work if the word isn't spelled out in the tags or the text of the post. also there isn't post suppression here.
Don't like your dashboard? Getting bored? Feel like your community is getting annoying? JUST FOLLOW MORE PEOPLE (and maybe unfollow some. a block and an unfollow are always ok). nobody cares, or can see about your follow ratio, and it'll help your dashboard feel more lively (you'll also not give as much of a shit about petty dramas). the follow limit is 5000 last i checked
keep your comments to the tags (unless it's like....really funny or adding something good? use your best judgement). the tags are helpful for subject matter, but you should also use them to talk as like side commentary!
Close your ask box to anons and don't share personal information if you don't want to. You are under no obligation to share your name, age, diagnoses, history, location, face, and you SHOULDN'T. and the ask box is great but if it gets overwhelming just close it. If you're a minor, maybe say somewhere that you're a minor, but that's it. (that goes for any social media site)
MAKE YOUR LIKES AND FOLLOWS PRIVATE. for the love of god. just protect yourself.
just like any social media site - be critical about the things people claim are true on here. screenshots, takes, facts, can be skewed and you should do extra research before believing anything just because somebody said it on tumblr dot com
DON'T GET INTO QUEER OR NEURODIVERGENT LABEL IDENTITY DISCOURSE. whether you are young or old, on tumblr or another site, things will just get confusing and weird. if you learn something here that makes you feel affirmed, great! but also please make sure your interaction with fellow queers (or other neurodivergent people) is not limited to just this site. get involved with a local or school lgbtq center if you can, get to know queer people in your life or queer spaces if you can. (and if you can't - go read about queer history somewhere other than tumblr. do research, watch movies and documentaries. look into disability organizing and history outside this hellsite). Label discourse is also how many unknowing queers and others get recruited to T*RFy shit unknowingly so....be careful out there.
Don't get guilted into things on your dashboard. You should definitely care about the things people are talking about, but you don't have to know about every ill happening in the world at once to be a good person. If you're feeling lost, or hopeless and endlessly scrolling or feel guilted by people online, pick ONE thing you can do, for people in your local community, and then just make a reasonable effort to stay informed otherwise.
create an original tag for your "original" posts, aka the posts you make that aren't reblogs, so you can look at them later
explore the QUEUE FUNCTION! you don't have to use it, nobody cares if you reblog spam, but sometimes it's fun!
Don't know who to follow? Go follow the tags of things you like (TV shows, movies, musicians, aesthetics, whatever!), and suggested posts will pop up on your feed, or you can go through the tag and follow some people who look interesting

I'm sure plenty of people have seen that HBomb video now and one of the underlying things it indirectly touched on beneath a lot of it is also why I tend to be really picky with video essays.
Plot summary versus analysis. So many videos would benefit from this and be direct about what they are. Plot summary is still valuable when you know the audience you're courting is unlikely to know about the topic you're discussing.
Because there's a profit motive tied to most of them, particularly due to the amount of time and effort it takes to properly put one together, it creates a lot of situations where people are pumping out content to be as reactive and ride on trends as much as possible even if they're not well thought out. The algorithmic nature of YouTube also exacerbates this. You get a lot of videos that react to trends but don't necessarily have anything meaningful to say about it. Someone like HBomb can make a single video and reliably count on it being sufficient for even just a year, but most people aren't in a position to do content at that frequency.
A lot of more academic style video essays are almost always severely lacking in disability analysis and it displays a lot of harmful brands of leftism. That's not to erase the disabled voices we do have, but the focus on trying to apply so many academic norms to video essays also means that a lot of critical voices for oppressed identities that don't have easy access to those spaces (e.g. a lot of chronically disabled people) often don't get considered. Some of these groups you really have to be active in the communities to be able to know and listen to.
YouTubers also have to contend with the worse side of the algorithm in that you don't have enough control over what audience gets targeted in who views your video. How you frame and package your video is incredibly crucial to the audience you get and how they respond to it, but all it takes is your video hitting the wrong side for people to subject you to a great deal of harassment. I made a video where I just mention Chris Rock offhand in one sentence in a video not about him but people still get upset that I criticized him even though he's a rapist. White people get really uncomfortable at just the use of the word "white people" and stop listening and get angry in the comments. You can easily pick out moments where Youtube video essaysists will clearly have that "I don't really care about this, but I need to say this and spend half my video pre-emptively addressing really basic things in the hopes it'll reduce some of the harassment I get."
YouTube quite frankly is also just unsafe for a lot of creators. You run the risk of harassment and for many of the more marginalized voices (e.g. trans, non-white, disabled ppl, people of marginalized genders, etc) you're at higher risk for doxxing and other forms of danger. So there's always the lingering danger of being on some hate site or a part of a harassment situation.
Video essaysists that build enough of a following aren't just making videos, but they end up building a community and following. Because so many of the institutions around us deliberately withhold information about things like queer history and analysis, gender studies, race and disability analysis and so on, video essayists intentionally or not capitalize off that vacuum of information. A lot of the inaccessibility in how living spaces have become for people means that a lot of people don't have third spaces or communities they can turn to, which is a big part of what makes these personalities so appealing. Content creators should be very aware of that fact because if you make say LGBT content you're going to likely court a lot of younger LGBT people who don't have an ease of access to community. You're going to get a lot of undiagnosed neurodivergent people. I find a lot of attachment to individual creators can be rooted in a lot of the lack of community many of these people have, though certainly not always the case. I feel that leaving the conversation at just "parasocial relationships" also oversimplifies the nature of this part of the issue.
Academic so-called activist grifters position themselves as either activists, academics, or advocates but don't care to grow or do anything other than court bigotry out of their viewers under the guise of progressive ideology. Trying to make educational style video essays requires a great deal of humility, curiosity, and vulnerability in being able to constantly grow and challenge yourself in looking for videos, something a lot of people are not willing to do. A lot of bigotry just gets dressed up with progressive language. A Black youtuber talking about the ways white women perpetuate racism? Sure. A white "leftist" constantly injecting some attack against white girls and women in situations where it makes no sense though?
At the end of the day, I think it's good for both viewers and creators to be aware of these things and always treat essaysists with a bit of caution.

Hello!
We are a welcoming, friendly, and well-moderated Discord server for people who find themselves under the godspouse umbrella:
Our server defines godspousing as intimate relations (romantic or s*xual) with a god, spirit, or other non-corporeal entity, such as angels, demons, etc.
This includes spirit partnership, consorts, dating, or other intimate, non-corporeal relationships. We are not exclusive to partners of gods or deities.
Godfamily/spirit family, and fictional others are welcome to the server and are actively discussed, but they are not the focus of the server.
Our server has been thriving for 4 years, with over 120 members and an active and present moderation team!
Our community is largely built of queer and neurodivergent folks, with a significant number of chronically ill and/or disabled members.
Our community is 18+ due to the intimate contents, and we do not allow minors to be present on the server under any circumstances.
We are open and accepting of systems and we offer pluralkit as a standard practice.
This is the only advertisement we have posted, as we do not advertise on sites such as disboard. We do not allow indefinite or permanent links to the server, which helps safeguard against trolling, doxxing, or raiding.
If you are interested in joining, you can contact me (@magnoliacrowned), @leannan-sithe, @pysksos or @mxmoth (or any members who sound off in the tags as available).

A zine written by a radical, disabled/ neurodivergent, queer of Portland Oregon, with contributions from other disabled, queer artists and advocates as possible
A note:
Thank you to Canva and their artists for creating accessible and beautiful zine templates and graphic elements! And thank you to everyone who continues to put in the effort to fight against oppression. This is for you, especially those of you in the Portland Oregon disability/neurodivergent, and queer communities. And, of course, this is in honor and memory and to rally increased support around our fellow Palestinian humans.
Please let me know if you or anyone you know falls into the communities in Oregon/Portland that this zine is published for and want to contribute! Feel free to share without credit, although I did post originally from my personal and professional accounts; it is more for social activism :) Please reach out if you have any interest in supplying art of any kind.

Queer representation we need more of
It's Pride Month and libraries, entertainment platforms, webcomic sites and more are highlighting the queer contents they offer.
In the last few years LGBTQ+ representation had a joyful increment, but there's still a long road ahead us.
So here's a not exhaustive list of what kind of queer representation we need more in the media:
Queer representation that doesn't revolve only around the discovery of one's queerness
Queer joy and lack of trauma porn
A queer gaze (that doesn't hypersexualize and that normalized queer identities)
Historical queer rep
Queer rep in fantasy and sci fi
Queer characters who aren't white
Queer characters who are disable / neurodivergent
Queer stories that aren't set exclusively in North America or England
More trans people (especially transmasc)
Gender non confirming characters
More asexual characters (and, if they're not aro too, asexual characters in a healthy love relationship)
Bi /pan characters who aren't exclusively in a same gender relationship
Bi /pan men
More trans and gnc people in love stories
Trans characters who aren't straight
Healthy queer polyamory representation
More throuples
Queer families
Old queer characters (we want to see we have a future)
Adult non binary/ gender non confirming characters
Main queer characters in a story not target exclusively for LGBTQ+ audience
Three or more queer characters in the same story

Twitter alternatives (WIP)
Collecting some pros and cons (with sources if I can find them) for various platforms. I'm neurodivergent, this is how I cope with my stress, figured I'd share if it helps anyone! I'm looking for a place that vibes with my values (LGBTQ+, BIPOC, disabled, anti-hate, NSFW friendly, and preferably has boundaries against generative AI stealing art/writing etc.).
I welcome any comments/sources that people have as so many of us are trying to figure this out!! Updating as I find more options/learn more
Tumblr:
My experience: I used Tumblr back before the NSFW ban and am just coming back this year, I find it easy to use and filter content I do and don't want to see. But I struggle to feel a sense of community here (I haven't talked to anyone directly through this platform in the years I have used it, though I do appreciate the silly tags on my art!! keep them coming!)
Pros: As far as I'm aware (I used the site back in the popular days, so I'm just coming back to it): does not use posts for gen AI, does not ban queer/bipoc/disabled content. Many fandoms have a large base here.
Cons: cannot post NSFW, anything vaguely near NSFW can be flagged even if it is not sexual
Twitter:
My experience: I have been on Twitter for about a year, I've found a bunch of mutuals and enjoy interacting with people there. But I can't support the direction M*sk is taking things and don't want to post my art on that platform anymore.
Pros: Large user base/far reach including international, can post NSFW but it can sometimes be limited in the algorithm
Cons: M*sk, shadowbans/bans of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC content, arbitrary bans/flags for NSFW, will use posts for AI, bots, hate speech, and harassment of marginalized groups are getting worse
Discord:
My experience: I've used discord for at least 7 years and use it daily as my primary form of communication with friends (and my husband one room away).
Pros: Large user base, most gamers have it, easy way to communicate on mobile and desktop, fun bot integration
Cons: Hard to find your people, most servers are closed systems that you don't know exist, and being in dozens of servers can be difficult to keep track of/keep up with. Each server is run by a person and could disappear without any notice if they rage quit and delete it, the rules are also up to that person. It makes it hard for artists to get a broader reach unless they have their own userbase from another platform feeding into it. Mentions of using user content (VC?) for AI training. They combined the dev for iOS and Android and the mobile app has been AWFUL since then (constantly says connecting every time I go to the app, often have to close and reopen it to send a message).
Bluesky Social:
My experience: I'm on the waitlist (supposedly? Didn't get an email confirmation and just waiting for the past week).
Pros: Built by the previous CEO of Twitter so in theory knows how to build a platform, lots of people seem to be heading that way if they can get an invite code. There were previous worries about it using content for AI, however as far as I can tell it uses content for tagging/moderation the same way that Tumblr does, and NOT for generative AI, " Bluesky does not own rights to your User Content" (From their TOS). Supposedly allows NSFW but can't find a source on this.
Cons: Waitlist of indeterminate length/hard to get an invite code. As shared in my comments, there have been issues of harassment and racism that are not being moderated properly to protect POC users. There have been issues of racist slurs being used in usernames, which in theory got patched out with code, but took a while for them to respond, which does not bose well.
Misskey.io:
My experience: Seeing a few mutuals go over to Misskey.io, I have only clicked on a couple of their posts to see what the platform looks like.
Notes: Uncertain about much about the platform. A lot of the posts are in Japanese (and I'm rusty reading kanji!)
Cons: There are mentions of being Anti-LGBTQ+ or at least not wanting people to post LGBTQ+ content there (1, 2, 3).
Mastodon:
My experience: I don't have an account and have only clicked there once for this post, see below
Notes: I have no personal experience with this platform but people online keep mentioning how hard it is to set up and use (even those who work in programming). I just went to the site's explore page from a google search. The first post it showed me was anti-red state/political parties legislating/tracking marginalized groups (ok), but with a picture of Nazi's front and center uncensored or tagged/flagged as far as I can tell (that was a shocking welcome to the site, might have just been my bad luck, not sure what kind of content is usually posted there). My husband who is into following political content says that people looking for that content are more likely to go to Mastodon from the accounts he follows, rather than art/fandom (from his experience).
Threads:
My experience: I do not have Facebook and will not join this platform.
Pros: Lots of people already have Instagram accounts, so it should be easy to join Threads
Cons: They will collect every scrap of data they can on you and sell it. From your purchases, to health, to location, you are the product.
Pillowfort:
My experience: Only seen mutuals talking about it, do not have an account myself
Pros: According to wikipedia: "The website was launched in 2017 and is currently in open beta. As of October 2020, the site had more than 100,000 users. The website is popular among fandoms, the LGBT community, and adult content creators." Allows NSFW content. Looks a lot like Tumblr so should be familiar to use. They have a demo login that allows you to check out what the site looks like before making an account. They say they are "planning" (search for Stance on AI in the FAQs) to prevent bot scraping, however they believe "AI and AI Generated Images are a topic that is much more nuanced than we previously believed" and do not take a firm stance on the topic yet.
Cons: They do not have a mobile app, though it is mentioned in the FAQs as planned. They limit image uploads to 2MB, you have to pay $2.49/month to upload up to 4MB. Anything submitted over 2MB up to 10MB will be resized down to 2MB.
Notes: On the FAQ they mention "In order for Pillowfort to remain online we need money to cover our various expenses such as hosting & data fees, staff compensation, etc. We do not receive any funding from corporate investors or venture capital because we are committed to keeping our user experience a priority." For better or worse, it is not run by a large company, they mention working on getting volunteers for moderation, the site feels like a work in progress.
Spill:
Notes: Having trouble finding details on this one, don't know anyone personally on it to ask.
Pros: Black owned
Cons: Currently a waitlist, not sure how long the wait is

Currently trying to save up enough money to pay off some debt (which I had to take on in order to pay for my most recent semester of university), more info on that is in my mutual aid post but the total goal is $1345 CAD and as of today (2024-04-25) I've raised $299 CAD, or 22.2% of the total

Disabled/neurodivergent/mentally ill
I support a free Palestine, and I highly recommend you check out sites like Decolonize Palestine to learn more about the ongoing occupation and eSims for Gaza to donate eSims to Palestinians in need and help them stay connected
BYF:
I block "pro-shippers"/"anti-antis" on sight
I will probably block if you are a TME person who: refers to transfems as TERFs (or "baeddels"), thinks TME/TMA terminology is harmful/useless/anything like that, and/or denies that TME privilege exists (by the way I highly recommend checking out the FAQ and allyship pages on this Carrd, which was made by a trans woman, if you want to understand more about transmisogyny and how to help combat it)
I am syscourse-neutral, but I will block people who use terms like "sysmed" or "traumascum" or who engage in cultural appropriation
I often reblog stuff talking about issues of oppression and bigotry, I try to remember to tag it but may occasionally forget
I try to put alt-text and image descriptions on all my art that I post here, please let me know if I've forgotten to do so and I'll fix it ASAP!
No patience for white queers who use their queerness to deflect accusations of racism against them
I block very liberally, half the time it's not even anything personal so much as it is a reminder for myself to not interact with or follow a person accidentally if I forget why I didn't want to interact with or follow them
If I've reblogged from someone I shouldn't have, feel free to send me an ask or something like that to let me know
Other sideblogs:
At the moment, our only other sideblog that we’ll share is our blog for littles, agesliders, and age regressors in our system, which is @plushiehellhound.

I need more chronically ill friends so I can talk about stuff that’s happening to my body without people freaking out or not knowing what to say 🙃
Most of the people I currently know do not know what to say when I talk about things I’ve been experiencing and they get stuck on “I hope you feel better!” Because they don’t know what else to say - because our society tells us not to think about people who are suffering.
I have been waiting to socialize until I feel better and it just isn’t happening.
But I still miss having friends and talking to people.
If you like my posts, this is your sign to message me and let’s be friends “for real!”
Especially if you want to talk about Star Trek/ music/ neurodivergent stuff/ disabled stuff/ tarot/ linguistics/ art/ songwriting - there is a long list!
I have tried meeting people on dating sites and it was giving my anxiety as I’m really mostly looking for queer platonic relationships right now as I am trying to finish school!
I’m Erin. I’m a 37 year old non-binary person who lives with my parents. Unmarried, one cat. Pronouns she/they.

Most of tumblr's userbase consists of marginalized people. We're here because of the fact that it's safer to use than other social media. We're here because it's easier to organize our posts, curate our experiences, and block out things we don't want to hear about. We're here because people like us are here. Because we can explore new ideas from people we relate to without being constantly forced to see the opinions of people who hate us against our will. Because on other social media, it's much easier to be tracked down and attacked by hate groups. Almost everyone on this site belongs to a marginalized group – the vast majority of us are queer, disabled, poor, neurodivergent, POC, and/or of a different religion other than Christianity. Of course tumblr & its investors don't give a shit if their changes hurt us. Because it's all about looking good for the "normal" people.
